james loved giving advice to remus when wolfstar were first getting together (remus did not believe sirius might like him till he heard it from james because ofc) so remus tries to repay the favor by telling james just how down bad reg is for him. and james just laughs it off at first, but it sticks with him. when has remus ever been wrong about love (except for when it’s about himself)? james remains confused until regulus grabs him at the next common room party and snogs his face off. james breaks away to see a scowling sirius handing over a pack of cigs as remus laughs smugly.

Someone please I beg make a fanfic of the House of black and wolfstar but make it ‘ready or not 2019’ theme🙏🙏Remus as Grace the one marrying into the Black family, Sirius who is ofc the other groom but instead of betraying Remus just like Mark had done with Grace he actually tries helping Remus get out while obviously feeling guilty for excepting Remus’ proposal because he knows how cruel his family is and Regulus kinda has the personality of Adam, Marks brother and also tries helping Remus out because he knows how fucked the Black family is with or without the games. I love a good trans!sirius headcanon. or a good feminine!sirius headcanon. but occasionally it gets to a point where it borders on fetishization and some people aren't ready to admit that.

sirius is canonically a masculine guy. I'm not saying he has to stay that way, but that is what the source material is. making him feminine and/or trans is awesome on it's own, but when combined with certain things it gets weird.

here are some examples of things that make it strange:

1. when it's a wolfstar fic and remus is more "tough" and domineering than he is in canon.

2. when it's used specifically in sexual contexts and not expanded upon elsewhere (this is obvious but still)

3. when sirius' personality is completely changed to something more stereotypically "girly" just because his looks are.

there's exceptions ofc, but a lot of these just scream that you have never met an mlm couple. again, I love a gnc sirius, but I don’t love fetishizing gay/trans men.

So i was thinking about your Wolfstar Marvel AU again (it should pay rent with how much it's spinning around my head) and like,,,, Sirius not having any kind of closure about Remus,,, he doesn't know what happened to him, they never found a body or any traces of him and then he was pronounced dead and Sirius just. Doesn't know. He doesn't even know why they took Remus in the first place. And he probably feels guilty about it too (bc ofc he would!!!). Just, the lack of closure of it all, the big question mark haunting him, up until 70+ years later when he's face-to-face with Remus again (I'm loving it)

AU needs to start paying me hourly wages for just how much it keeps me up and wondering at night. I would be in tears and at the end of my wit, if I had to do just part of this research in school (I was not into history or any literature for school, and that's putting it mildly.) and now I do this willingly lol.

You know one of those, "I'm so glad you asked"- *7 hour long vm* memes? I fear this will end up like that. Bear with me.

Before we get into that, I'll clear up some background? So Remus was first taken along with a lot of their troop (ambush?), and they were partially injected (plot reasons plot reasons!! I feel like you can guess why!!) and the Sirius and co rescued them etc etc. And then Remus was targeted specifically.

So before the permafrost, I feel the situation was very bad for Sirius. For one, he would have agreed to the Serum in the first place because Remus was in captivity (also for the war effort, of course, but to Sirius, at that point there really was no room for question which may have been there otherwise), and then he got Remus back. Just to lose him again.

And then, to the Military and almost everyone else, Hope and Lyall Lupin lost a son, but Sirius Black lost a fellow soldier. He lost a comrade. Sure, they were friends, so him being vengeful is believable, to an extent. And no one really gets the blank look in his eyes, after.

I believe there was a quote that went like, "Should you lose a spouse/partner, there is a shared understanding of the relationship, but when you lose a friend, there's no tangible evidence, no widely acknowledged way to mourn."

Except, for Sirius, he did lose his partner, love of his life and dearest friend of so many years. And no one understands. Maybe James and Lily know, but it is the 40s. Realistically, they are quiet about it at best. For him it is both, and all the more painful. And he doesn't get exactly why Remus was targeted either. Remus was at an integral position in the OSS, unusual for his age, recruited at the very beginning, one of the sharpest minds, so it could have been that. And god, he was cold blooded when he got to fighting. But of course, he cannot shake the feeling that it was because of him.

So, in that time, the days he spent looking for Remus with James and Lily, (which really wasn't much, they would not have been allowed to!) he is partially cynical. Not to the point of self-blaming but enough to self-destruct. James tries to get him out of it, but Lily grits her teeth. She doesn't say much, because she understands, I believe, how much at that point he just wants it to end.

*BAM* permafrost.

After he gains consciousness, he would have blanked out for a while, because what even is this? But he doesn't, because after the first few excruciating minutes, when the blood is pounding in his chest, looking at every flash of light, every building and car that look unnatural, really, the first thing he processes is Moody telling him that the War is over. Good, at least something went well, he thinks.

They tell him many soldiers were rescued, because that's the first thing he asks. After it sinks in, he wants to hope, and maybe he does. Because this is real, he can see it. As outlandish as it is, he is in the future. If this can be real, how foolish would it be to hope that maybe Remus made it too? He would be old, and he would have lived his life. Maybe with someone else, and that's okay. If he gets to see him one more time, Jesus, it's okay.

They tell him what happened with HYDRA and his family. They tell him about James Potter and how he revolutionized weapons, they tell him about Lily Potter, who later went on to join the NSA. God, he gets fucking giddy hearing all of that, because it worked out. For someone, it did. For James and Lily, it did. He wants to meet Harry.

And he starts to have a nagging thought, because with how they speak of and to him, maybe they would have mentioned his known childhood friend. And Remus was known to his own credit.

So he asks, slowly about one Remus Lupin?

And lo and behold. They know of him of course, of course, he was Captain America's best friend. But nothing was known of him post war.

He tries to hold his face and nods, but Moody gives him a strange look. Tells him that he'll look into it for him. He tamps it down, though, there is no point in a wishful fantasy. He would have begged Moody if required, but there really is no point. And he doesn't think he can open his mouth without saying something incriminating.

Moody offers him the initiative, of course, but they tell him to take a breath, see the world, find himself first. And he does, he takes a few days. But then he gets time to think about it, to mull things over, to reevaluate his last choices. When he is trying to ease into the new world, he is busy, things are overwhelming. But once he gets home, he spirals. He remembers how panicky he had been during the first rescue mission. He had been desperate. And what if that clued them in? There were others in the OSS. So why just Remus?

It had to be him.

So he throws himself into missions, trains hard, exhausts himself so doesn't have to think. He does what he's always been doing, he helps SHIELD and doesn't question much, because he is still processing. Some things stick out but one can only handle so much, yeah? Besides, James and Lily were the co-founders.

He finds out. Well. Many things about his past and it's just so much (I'll stop or this itself will spiral to 3k.)

I feel he's quite mercurial at times in these days. Unsettled, but he keeps going. He drinks sometimes, gets shit faced. Those days are increasing, really.

Then he meets Elena.

And there is something striking about her. Such a young girl, and he can see it in her eyes that she has seen a lot. Too much. He sees himself in her. And he is protective. He is maybe a little taken aback. Because she seems so much... like an old soul.

And Elena is drawn to him too. She opens up, slowly, slowly, which she doesn't normally. But he is fiery. Like her. And they mostly have the same stances. She doesn't speak of her childhood, and so he doesn't ask. She does mention she had a dad, and though seemingly not for long, she remembers her name from him.

She seeks out his company and it soothes something in him. I feel he's a little more settled? With time? I mean it's hard to pity yourself when there is someone dragging you out to bowl and join soccer clubs, when that someone is a loner too. Even though thinking of Remus' hurts a little more each day, because he feels that Elena and Remus would get along so well. Man she even fights like him.

So when he sees Remus again, it is whiplash of the worst kind. Remus is just there. Because it is Remus and it is not, and he is standing there just staring because this Remus even fights the same. And he sees Elena standing frozen there, and it suddenly hits him that she looks... like Remus.

Except for her eyes and it is like he is watching everything from afar. All he can do try to hold Remus back. Until Neville flies them away.

Because what has his life come to?

Elena is not responding. She is not even looking at him. And Sirius is thinking a thousand miles an hour. I think he'd find out everything he can about whoever this Winter Soldier is.

Before they finally bring R in for questioning I feel S would be overcome with guilty and longing and a lot of painful confusion, really.

And mostly, Sirius is guilt ridden. Remus was in there, with them doing who knows what to him, for 70 years? He never deserved that. Sirius was outwardly rebellious. It was his family helping fund HYDRA. And then there's Elena. Is Elena Remus'? Because how in the world did Remus manage to have a kid while he was trapped in a facility?

There is something really cool about her name. if you look closely.

Outside of his blackouts, Remus solely spoke Russian to everyone around him for 70 years right? So it seems logical that's what he'd speak to elena in that environment, mind controlled half the time etc, before they were separated (she was like. 7) and he'd find it a little difficult to slip into English again, or that's what Elena thinks. So when he demands to meet her first, she storms in, defensive stance (Sirius is standing right outside by the way) but Remus just blinks. Because they said it was Elena Chernova. But it's not. It's Helena Black.

And Sirius just. Dies a little.

Basically. He is spiralling.

Remus: gay, five years old was attacked by Greyback and cut up, gets tremors on chronic pain now, uses a cane to walk, nerd (will read anything but mostly loves textbooks/educational books), lowkey autistic (you don’t know til you know), always spouting weird facts when he’s uncomfortable, obvi super pining for sirius

James: pansexual, dating Regulus, plays basketball, does one on one with Marlene and they gossip/vent about their day, works out all the time, super smart but a dumbass, actual sunshine with abandonment issues

Regulus: trans (formerly Lyra), bisexual, dating James, nerd (big into learning like remus, he and remus hang out to learn random shit together) plays badminton singles, autistic af, very quiet until he gets comfy then he never shuts up, likes legos (touch and you’ll die)

Peter: aroace, everyone’s bestie, chill and just living his best life, closest with Mary (both just chill but always judging everyone together)

Barty: gay af, dating Evan obvi, graffiti vandal/lowkey arsonist, besties with Pandora, intentionally does stereotypical ‘quiet kid’ stuff just to fuck with his peers, everyone’s afraid of him just how he likes,

Evan: asexual but will ruin Barty sexually (doesn’t get any sexual gratification but enjoys watching Barty squirm and have the best time), collects animal parts in jars and has a ‘bone room’, is that creepy kid, has definitely been to the psych ward before

Lily: lesbian, poly-ish, dating Mary and Pandora, huge chemistry nerd, in the debate club, very popular/friends with nearly everyone

Mary: bisexual, poly-ish, dating Lily and Pandora, very cottagecore, quiet vibes, besties with Peter, vegan/all about saving the planet (but not in a awful way), forgetful and always has a million alarms and reminders on her phone

Marlene: nonbinary they/them, so lesbian they never had to come out, obsessed with gf Dorcas, plays basketball, them and James often do one on one and vent, loves movies and will watch literally anything

Dorcas: lesbian, dating Marlene, most said words are probably “wtf Marlene”, party girl, cheerleader, legit hates men except Reggie but only because they were close before he transitioned and she’d miss him

Pandora: unknown sexuality (always just shrugs when asked), very manic pixie girl vibes, heavy on the manic, sometimes commits arson with bestie Barty, Evan’s unused dead things’ parts are made into fertilizer for her garden (which is impressive btw, mostly flowers but a hidden section of poisonous plants), always has something creepy or downright unsettling to say

-James is Indian

-Remus is technically white but he does not look it (and it always surprises people), and he’s conveniently unattractive bc I love ugly remus

-Pandora and Evan are black (with naturally white blond hair ofc) and Pandora has vitiligo

-Sirius and Regulus moved from France as children

NOW PAUSE DONT GET WEIRD- I said we were changing the story bit

They are still brothers. And not lovers. Cool? Ok cool, moving on

The movie starts with regulus in his house with pandora, and they're making a fake "true love" to cheer regulus up. And he sings like Giselle does in the movie, and sirius hears and is like "omg someone looking for true love!!" And he runs to find this person and goes "oh. It's you." Bc he didn't know it was his brother.

Walburga is obviously the evil queen (their mother) and wants to keep them from finding love bc it means she keeps her power

Pandora is a horrible influence and wants regulus to find someone. Peter (bc its funny if yk who plays him) is the one hired by walburga to keep sirius busy and not falling in love

The next day, they go back to the castle to have a meeting with their mother. Sirius tries to get Reggie to go to the old wishing well they went to as kids. And reg is stubborn but they end up going. Sirius wishes for true love. And oops what do you know, the magic of the well sucks him in. Regulus panics and grabs Sirius, and they both fall in.

Reg Giselle, Sirius Edward, pandora is essentially pip, Peter is Nathaniel, walburga is narissa

Now into the real world!!

We have single father James Potter, raising his adventurous son, Harry (Robert and morgan)

James' secretary is none other than Remus Lupin (nancy). Except instead of them dating and stuff, they're sad best friends

And james' ex wife is ofc Lily Evans (hence the pandalily I couldn't help but add. Her and james are still friends that's how we get this)

So now in the real world, james and Harry stumble upon 2 overly dressed idiots stuck outside in the rain one night. Harry is excited bc they're something out of a fairytale. He convinces his dad to take the sad fucks in bc its literally pouring out. (Yes sirius climbed a billboard bc he thought it was a castle). So james gives in thanks to Harry and let's the brothers stay the night bc he's already getting a soft spot for them

So yes it's a decent amount different from the story but you see the vision right?

So from here pandora and Peter are racing against each other to get back the brothers. Peter obviously scared of walburga so he's trying to get them back for that, pandora is the opposite and is trying to beat him to it

Now im considering writing this- like genuinely. I'm planning it rn actually. But. Only if this gets a decent amount of support. I wanna know if anyone actually likes the idea so- lmk

in ur professional opinion, what's the essence of wolfstar? what's the wind in that ship's sails, so to speak? cos ofc it's not an actual ship - that was just a fun little metaphor. neither of them are even part-boat.

well, if one were to lean into the ship metaphor.. we have rjl the humble dinghy, paint all chipped and weather-beaten .. he's not the fastest dinghy at the dock, but he's reliable n steadfast and doesn't sink. all the other boats in the bay don't understand why his patched-up holes just won't stay patched n keep leaking (lol ) except for one majestic ship (a frigate, if u were curious) who is so so speedy and so so pretty and polished .. perfect, even, except for the fact that his bottom chambers keep flooding.. sirius can go so fast, but it's always at a cost. however, despite all his leaks n flaws (which are not obvious above the surface) he never sinks ! and neither does remus;;; they're hewn from the same tree, u see. their wood grain is a little different, but they're ultimately the same, underneath..

ahhhh first of all i'm so glad to spread the mopi propaganda, it's such a good film and one that has altered my brain chemistry forever. now, about the r/s thing...

at the few ppl who still follow me from back in the day i'm so sorry (not rly) for the déja vu you're about to experience. you can't know this, rosamariaa, but in like 2015-2016ish(?) me and my fandom friends were OBSESSED with my own private idaho and kept going on about the wolfstarcodedness of that film, i can send u some old unhinged posts abt it if u like! but anyways yesyesyes it's def wolfstarcoded. granted, i haven't watched the film in years so this list is v incomplete but from the top of my head, some of the parallels between mike&scott and r/s include (also ig spoiler warning for anyone who hasnt seen it):

- scott rebelling against his rich family by becoming a hustler like come onnn thats very siriuscoded

- mike has a chronic illness (narcolepsy)

- also just mike's vibe is very remus to me, scott's is a bit less sirius to me than mike is remus but it's still definitely there (except for the ending SCOTT WOULD BE WITH MIKE AND NOT WITH THE ITALIAN GIRL). like their dynamic is very wolfstar, in an au where wolfstar rip my heart out

- the whole leather jacket and dog collar thing scott has going on, and his bike ofc

- pretty sure at some point (before campfire scene perhaps?) they (or just mike?) actually howl at the moon

- honorable mention to the random stag statue in one of the shots as well as the bedsheets in that one scene having lowkey gryffindor colors

so i started drafting a fic and thought i’d post a little wip cause i rather like it  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

James feels like he might vomit when he sees the house. 

It’s a complete ruin. There’s smoke coming from the inside, the fence and the front door are in ruins, and half of the roof has collapsed. 

His heart is hammering, and he feels panic rise in his chest. 

Peter betrayed them.

But maybe, just maybe, this isn’t what it looks like. Maybe the inside is empty. Maybe they’ve noticed in time and fled, Sirius and Remus and Navi. They’re okay, they must be okay. 

James runs inside, not bothering to wait for Lily. He has to know, he needs to know, he needs to be sure.

Please, please, not him, not them.

The lounge is in disarray. Most of the furniture is either broken into pieces beyond repair or in smoke. Picture frames lay smashed on the floor, toys and books are scattered throughout the room. The walls have nasty hex stains on them, so does the floor and ceiling.

James can barely notice, though. He doesn’t hear the glass crunching below his feet, he can’t smell the smoke. He feels no pain when he stumbles on a piece of what might have once been the coffee table. 

His eyes are fixed on a body, half sitting completely still against the back wall of the room.

“No,” he chokes out, tears already spilling down his cheeks. It’s not real, it can’t be real. “No no no no no no no.”

He’s down on his knees crouching towards it, refusing to believe in what he sees. 

Not him, no, not him, it can’t be him, it can’t be, not him.

His hands are shaking as he grabs Sirius by the shoulders - there’s no response. Absolutely nothing. Sirius is motionless and limp as James shakes him.

“Come on, come on!” James sobs. “Wake up! Please, please, please wake up.”

Sirius’s face is even paler than James remembers it being. His hair is a mess, falling down around his face, long like he always keeps it. There’s a small trail of blood from his lips down to his chin, already dried up.

Sirius has his eyes open. Hollow, and empty, and painfully grey. 

“Padfoot, Sirius, please,” James keeps on babbling through the tears. He can’t control his breath anymore, pulling Sirius into his arms. His fingers run through his hair, rub Sirius’s back, touch his arms, chest, face. Anything to make him do something, to stop with that stupid game, to just wake up. “Please, please, fuck, wake up, don’t do this to me! Not you!” 

He waits for a witty remark, a laugh and an explanation of it all being a prank that went a bit too far.

But there’s nothing. Sirius remains cold and still in James’s arms, his eyes open, not a single movement, or breath. No heartbeat. 

Sirius Black lies dead in James’s arms that Halloween night. 

“NO!” 

Mere hours ago he chatted with Sirius through their mirrors, talking about tonight’s visit, babbling mindlessly about Navi and Remus and how excited they were to see James and Lily again. And now James is here, in the ruins of Sirius’s home, cradling his lifeless body, clinging to it as if maybe, somehow, it will make a difference. 

“James?”

He sobs into Sirius’s shoulder, soaking his shirt; he’s wearing his favourite t-shirt, some Muggle punk band James never bothered to listen to. And now Sirius won’t ever make him listen to any Muggle records again.

Lily stumbles next to him, falling to her knees.

“James-”

��He’s gone,” he chokes out. “Lily, he’s-”

“Oh God,” her voice sounds strained, but James can’t bear to let go of Sirius to even look at her. He doesn’t want to let go, he can’t leave, he can’t just leave Sirius here. 

He’s unaware of Lily, shaking and soundlessly crying, taking one of Sirius’s hands in hers. Her other hand, trembling, gently closes Sirius’s eyes. 

“Please wake up,” James says again. Deep down he knows it won’t make a difference; nothing can bring Sirius back now. Yet he keeps his body in an embrace, talking as if Sirius can hear. “Padfoot, please. You promised we’d talk tonight, you promised.”

“James-”

“You can’t leave me, you can’t, not you, anyone but you. You’re my brother, Sirius, my baby brother, you can’t just do that!” 

There’s a hand on his shoulder, and then he’s being pulled into Lily’s arms, still holding onto Sirius’s body.

“What do I do?” he chokes out. “He’s gone, Lily.”

“We need to check the rest of the house, James. Maybe-”

“I can’t.” 

“Yes, you can. Sirius wouldn’t want-”

“Don’t. Don’t talk to him like he’s-” dead. James can’t make himself say it. It’d be too real. 

“We need to check. Remus, and Navi, Jesus, I hope-” she stumbles up, leaving James on the floor. He can hear her going up the stairs.

He wants to move. He needs to see if maybe, hopefully, Remus and Navi made it out. But he can’t make himself let go of Sirius. 

'If anything happens, promise me, James. Promise you’ll keep them safe for me.’

He rests Sirius’s body against the wall, just like it had been when James entered the house.

“I’m so sorry,” he sobs. “I wish-... I love you, Pads. I love you so much.”

He slowly gets up, tearing his eyes away from the body that once was his best friend. 

He makes it to the hallway when he hears Lily’s shriek, piercing through his entire body. He stumbles up the stairs, even if deep down he knows what it means.

Lily is in the nursery, on the floor, clutching yet another body. James looks away, tears spilling again, a sob escaping his throat.

Remus didn’t make it either. 

James pieces it all together. They’ve lost the war. And yet, he can’t bring himself to care. 

He’s lost two of his closest friends and his niece. All in one night. 

James slumps down next to Lily.

Remus, in a way, looks just like after every full moon; pale skin, drops of blood dried on his face, hair a mess of curls. His wand lies next to him; he tried protecting himself and Navi, most likely.

James feels another wave of nausea at the thought of the little girl. He doesn’t want to see her, he can’t bare to see her like this, like Sirius and Remus.

James takes hold of Remus’s hand, not holding back the tears. Beside him, Lily sobs. 

They’ve lost their whole family tonight. 

They were so happy, once upon a time. When she was born, Sirius and Remus were glowing, never having thought they’d get to raise a child of their own. It all seemed too good to be true, even in the mids of a war. And James was so happy, too. He’s always wished nothing but happiness for Sirius.

And then the prophecy happened. And of course, it had to be Sirius’s family. Of all the kids in the world, Sirius’s daughter had to be the ‘lucky’ chosen one.

James isn’t sure how much time passes with him and Lily on the nursery floor, Lily crying into Remus’s shirt, James clinging to his hand. They really should leave. The place is bound to be crawling with people once the news gets around. 

Yet he can’t make himself go. He has no strength left. They war is lost. 

Then, there’s a noise. A noise James can recognize anywhere. 

“God,” Lily gets up and stumbles towards the crib, covered with rubble. She pushes away the roof tiles and the pieces of wood, and then there’s the noise again and-

“James, she’s okay.”

James rushes to her.

And in the crib, there is Navi, making small noises. She seems to be asleep, and untouched aside one a wound on her forehead. 

“Oh my God.”

“Jesus,” Lily carefully picks her up. Navi squirms in her arms. “It’s okay. Auntie Lily is here, it’s okay, we’ve got you darling.”

“How did-”

“I don’t know, but we need to go.”

“Lily-”

“I know, it’s… it’s awful, I don’t want to leave them here, but if she’s alive then something must have happened, and we can’t stay here any longer. We promised to keep her safe. We need to leave now.”

‘Make sure she’s safe. In case Rem and I don’t make it.’

James takes one last look at the body lying on the floor. He takes Lily’s hand, and apparates.

As I was saying earlier, this idea is a lot of vibes for little plot! So far I was just thinking "but what if Sirius goes for the protective kidnapping (of everyone he loves and thinks they can be in danger bc of Peter) rather than killing Peter?" and here we are.

Ofc he would take Harry and Remus (and I'm thinking Mary as well), but then I'm just. Do I go with some of my hcs and include Neville as well??? Do I go with my OCs kids for Mary and maybe Wolfstar and maybe also Daisy (Jily's daughter)????? Who knows, not me.

Same problem, I'm not sure of the tone, bc something fun and more cracky could work, but something heavy on the hurt/comfort would work so well too, so I don't know!!! Maybe I'll write different versions, idk. U guys are so very welcome to try and write this idea too lmao djdjjd the more the merrier!!!

Lily & Petunia girlboss gaslight gatekeep their way into the magical world.

Funnily enough I think it's the first fic idea I had when I started coming back into the fandom!

Obviously Evans sisters centric, where Lily refuses to go to Hogwarts without Petunia and Petunia really wants to go too, so they decide to gaslight everyone into believing Petunia is a witch too. It somehow works, and the fic (OS) would follow them through their years at Hogwarts and during the war — I actually have a good chunk of it planned!!

(also a f in the chat for Snape, who knows very well Petunia is a Muggle and keeps on trying to prove it and failing to do so.)

This fic would definitely have a lot of my HCs for the magical world and how magic works so I'm a bit excited to write it actually dijdjdjd

Cedric, Fleur & Viktor form the Harry Protection Squad bc they're Very Concerned.

GoF AU, as you can imagine, and an idea I'm very fond of. I'm having more and more ideas to add to this one lmao, so we'll see what I can keep in and all.

But yeah, the idea is basically Harry gaining three older siblings (kind of) and Ron and Hermione finally getting some more help keeping him alive. The Harry Protection Squad actually keeps on getting new members!! I think it would alternate between Cedric, Fleur, & Viktor POV, with them getting more and more worried the more they learn about the three precedent years lmao. (Cedric: I knew it was bad but I didn't think it was that bad!)

Also for funsies I think Percy (who joined the Harry Protection Squad upon getting his new jury duty) should adopt the stray dog he found in Hogsmeade. He keeps bringing him to the reunions and the dog loves Harry, for some reason.

The Potters and the Longbottoms are each other's Secret Keepers.

So it was late at night and I was thinking "what if one of the Potters was the Longbottoms' Secret Keeper, and one of the Longbottoms was the Potters' Secret Keeper? How can Voldemort find them when they protect each other?" so now that's basically the whole idea!

So now Lily gets the idea after having insomnia, wakes up James to tell him, and they then invade the Longbottoms' house to share the idea with them, and they all agree on it. I go with the HC that the couples are close friends, with Alice being Harry's godmother and Lily Neville's godmother, and Alice and James knowing each other since they were kids (= Alice a toddler and James a baby). Anyways, Sirius freaks out a bit, Peter suddenly disappears, Voldemort is very unsuccessful in trying to get them, etc.

It's one of those ideas I have well-planned except for the end lmao, bc I'm not sure where to end it exactly.

rumor says that Voldemort killed the youngest Black, the others will get revenge.

This one is just really crack lmao.

Mostly, Regulus dies, rumor says Voldemort killed him, so Bellatrix, Andromeda, Narcissa, & Sirius all decide to get revenge and kill Voldemort. They also don't consult each other about it so now they're fighting over which one of them actually killed Voldemort. (Well, Bellatrix and Sirius fight over it, mostly.)

I wrote tiny bits and pieces of it, so I'll try to finish it soon!! It's not supposed to be a big thing, unlike some others of my ideas in this list lmao.

PoA, a bored Ron sending Howlers to Sirius Black.

Aka this idea, bc i love it and it makes me laugh. It feels like something Ron would do (and Hermione would help him with).

I would very much put it in the humor/crack treated seriously category, but I'm not exactly sure where to go from there. I have a few ideas about Sirius answering Ron's Howlers with his own where he's just laughing bc he thinks it's hilarious, or just sending him a "hey I wanna kill your rat" which confuse everyone, but idk. We'll see!!

PoA, Sirius helps Neville after the passwords incident.

So, remember how Crookshanks stole the paper where Neville wrote down the passwords and Sirius used it to enter the Tower, and after that Neville was punished by McGonagall and he couldn't get the password anymore and had to stay out of the Tower until someone came to get him in?

The idea is that Sirius-as-Padfoot roams a bit around the castle in case Peter is doing the same, and he ends up finding Neville outside the Tower at night, kind of trying to sleep here bc no one let him in. Sirius gets worried and decides to help him out (mainly to find a nice hideout to sleep if it happens again).

A lot of it is vibes bc i thought Sirius and Neville bonding would be very nice and I would like to see it, so. Yeah. Eijdjd.

ohh my god ok so i love clangen and the WONDERFUL Nimaereth created a mod that lets you customize and import your own cats into the game and i’m obsessed. i’ve had zero time to draw so i’ve been creating characters from my own personal warrior cats ““worldbuilding”” project (plus my beloved lightningclaw of course).

the folks working on this game are incredibly smart and do all this work for free, and i respect the hell out of them for bringing together such a lovely fan project! definitely show them support if you can!

except for lightningclaw, who is the SkyClan deputy, all of these guys belong to PineClan, which is one of the four clans formed far in the north after several lake clan cats were wrongfully chased from their home. their territory borders MountainClan and ValeClan, while CavernClan makes their home in the cave system underneath the three territories. they make their camp in a pine forest, but their hunting grounds also include a muskeg dubbed The Frozen Mire by the cats. most of their ancestors come from either ShadowClan or SkyClan.

their territory also includes the outer edges of the Fox Hollows, home to an intelligent fox pack that long pre-dates the Clans. PineClan maintains an uneasy truce with the foxes over the strip of their territories that overlaps, and as such all PineClan apprentices are taught to speak a little bit of fox. while it doesn’t always stop natural predator conflict, they live in peace most of the time.

PineClan prides themselves on their wisdom and history. they have strong oral traditions, and some stories claim to date all the way back to the old forest. elders are revered to a greater degree than in other clans, and their stories are a favorite among apprentices of other clans at gatherings. PineClan also has a role called the Lorekeeper. they hunt but do not fight or patrol borders, however their main role is to record Clan history. a large stone wall, sheltered from the elements in an abandoned burrow, is painted on to record births, deaths, and changes in position (think kinda like Paleolithic cave paintings). 

their build is lean and elegant, their fur kept sleek and well-groomed. dark coats are valued for nighttime hunting, while tabbies and tortoiseshells are great for hunting in trees. many of them, oddly enough, have large and pointy ears, which legend says they developed to listen for prey in the silent woodland. their scent is reminiscent of pine needles, with a muskier undertone from the wetland.

i won’t get into it too much here but it is important to note that all four clans have a special warrior called their Guardian. this warrior is stronger and wiser than the average clan cat, and their soul is continually reincarnated. though not technically a Guardian, the “original” soul comes from Moonchaser, who led the clan cats to their new northern home. there is a LOT of lore surrounding this bit but think like a mix between the avatar and the nerevarine.

anyway cats.

Eclipsestar (Eclipsestream): current leader of PineClan. she’s chill. has a very relaxed and open policy to outsiders (the northern Clans usually do to prevent inbreeding, but even by these standards she’s very welcoming). was very young to be appointed deputy by the previous leader, Wolfstar, so her inexperience and the need to grow up quickly does sometimes still show. however, she’s overall seen as a wise and peaceful leader.

Murkmist: eclipsestar’s deputy and longtime best friend. while she disagrees with some of eclipse's policies, they’re overall a good fit for each other. sly and crafty, she’s usually the first cat to send when dealing with the Fox Hollows. not above causing drama with the other clans, but she will do so in a manner that makes her seem completely uninvolved.

Frostmoon: the senior medicine cat, very old by the time most of these characters roll around. strict, cold, and deeply rooted in tradition. as an apprentice she was considered a prodigy, but like eclipse, she also lost her mentor at a young age, which led to her developing a deep desire to prove herself. this led to her severely mishandling a situation involving the Clan’s previous Guardian, and many cats (perhaps wrongfully, perhaps not) sadly ended up losing their trust in her.

Riverhaze: frostmoon’s former apprentice. nervous, a bit flighty, and eager to please. not a whole lot to say about him, but he’s a good healer and a nice dude. despite his mentor’s failings, he’s still close with her.

Silvertongue: the current Lorekeeper. not a kittypet since humans are gone in this world, i just thought the collar looked nice. though he probably does have outsider roots. clever, sassy, good-natured, and takes his job VERY seriously. also nightstep’s mate, which means he puts up with a lot of nonsense haha. 

Nightstep: the current Guardian and main character of this hypothetical story (and also the cat iteration of my beloved skyrim character, teravyn, though they’ve kind of evolved into separate characters). adventurous, impulsive, and gets into more trouble than what’s good for him. kind to the point where some might call him naive, but to his credit his heart is in the right place, and he’ll grow into the role. however, his impulsivity is again a problem, because he can be absolutely terrifying in battle. very close with wolfstorm and considers her a sister, and his mate is silvertongue whom he loves very much. his other best friend is a former loner called mireclaw, who’s not featured here.

Wolfstorm: young warrior, found by the Clan as a kit. assumed to be a loner kit, but her mother is actually the MountainClan deputy Magpieshadow, who secretly left her kit with PineClan after her mate died and she felt unprepared to raise a kit alone. due to her MountainClan genes, she’s HUGE (and fluffy) compared to the average PineClan cat. to wolf, the warrior code is...more of a suggestion than a rule set. she’s sneaky and not above stealing prey to feed her own clan, but by starclan is she good at staying hidden. some believe her blessed by the (currently unnamed) patron of stealth. very close with both nightstep and silvertongue, as well as another warrior called mireclaw (not featured here).

Ashfrost: a background warrior. also not much to say about her, but i like her a lot. you will never ever find her in the midst of any drama--she is too laidback and too chill with everyone for that nonsense. however, gossip? she is MORE than happy to listen to it, just don’t make her get involved.
