Seeing Fairy Gala Ortho made me so happy like !aaaaaaaaaaaa

. ok since you mentioned fairy gala ortho first, anonnie, i'm taking this as a green light for me to go absolutely ballistic and rant about how beautiful fairy gala ortho is.

here he is. the 100 beauté himself (as rook would say) ! i'd like to preface this with the fact that the person who draws the shroud SSR cards is Absolutely Insane, they want me to d word from how pretty all the art is, even pre-groovied. (will ascending to ghostly realms stop me from rolling for these cards ? no. it will not. fg ortho and gm idia will be mine !!)

the second thing i'd like to say is. that idia is a damn good designer. all of ortho's models are designed by idia in canon. so i'd like to say thank you to him and shake his hand (although i think that'd freak him out jsdfksjkf) for making this design.

[ analysis of ortho's outfit + the symbolism behind it down below ! ]

before we start, i'll be using pictures of the card art from the wiki + pictures of his full-body sprite, courtesy of alchemivich :D tap on the images for better quality (and also bc some are cropped weird rip)

let's go from top to bottom n just talk abt how crazy idia was to design this. he has gold and iridescent butterflies along his crown + covering his eyes. and there's gold all around his face. this makes him look like a porcelain doll, which i think is kinda the theme of this ortho model. it's as if someone powdered or painted his face white to give him a more human feel.

all around his crown he also has peonies in white. apparently white peonies are meant to symbolize remorse and sorrow. so giving someone a bouquet of white peonies can be a way to ask for forgiveness and show that you understand your wrongdoings. now i have not read book 6 but maybe there are some ties to what happened there and this design choice on idia's part to give ortho a crown of flowers that symbolize remorse.

and also, his eyes are covered with the wings of butterflies. a caterpillar only gets its wings after it undergoes metamorphosis, so butterflies are often seen as a symbol of spiritual rebirth, hope, or change. and covering his eyes,,,,eyes are often seen as a window to the soul so does that imply that ortho has...no soul ? since he's a humanoid ? but there's not one set meaning ofc, so maybe it could be in a more see-no-evil sense, where idia is protecting ortho and keeping him blind from things that are inherently "evil". there's probably a lot of interesting parallels you can draw between this design and book 6, which makes me excited to see what idia's intentions really were when designing this model.

(and also we can't forget abt his teeth....he's so cute. precious baby who i will protect with all my heart and soul <33)

ok moving on ! let's look at his arms. there isn't too much symbolism that i can think of, but again, his arms do look like the arms of a doll of sorts. idia gives him joints that are akin to ball-and-socket ones that dolls often have. i do have to say, his hands remind me of violet evergarden and also of this one designer i know who makes dainty hand jewelry and corsets out of porcelain. her brand name is candy makeup artist and here's her website if you'd like to see what i'm talking about. here's one of the hand jewelry that reminds me of ortho's hands.

ah, i do have to say, the white sleeve-like thing near his shoulder reminds me of lace doilies, since they often have intricate designs woven into the edges of it. (here's a picture of a lace doily if anyone's kinda confused bc i did not know the names for these were lace doilies) one last thing, his shoulder sports a screw, and you can see the inner joint under his armpit, which, again, amps up that doll-like feeling that idia's probably trying to achieve.

for his torso, there are lines that draw the eyes towards his waist, which is sporting what looks like corset made out of porcelain. again it reminds me of candy makeup artist's works, so here's an example of a porcelain corset she made. also having all the detailing in gold is really smart bc ortho has hovering lights around him (in the form of flower buds, as expected of idia's thorough design) so the gold really stands out from the cream-white color he chose for the base of the model.

another thing i noticed is that the corset elements and the golden designs near his knees and feet combines designs probably inspired by the baroque style. baroque is a style that is known to be very intricate; serving to convey a feeling of grandeur and awe amongst those who see it. in specific i'm talking more abt the architecture-side, specifically stuccowork, since it uses similar patterns to those seen on the golden detailing on ortho's model. examples of baroque stuccowork can be seen here.

then we have the wings ! which are interestingly not reminiscent of butterfly wings, but instead they adopt the shape of dragonfly wings instead ! idia's an absolute mad man making them iridescent bc some dragonflies actually have iridescent or colored wings. i think idia chose dragonfly wings for efficiency bc these wings allow dragonflies to have greater control over their flight. so. yeah. this is idia optimizing ortho's flight patterns hehe

then we have his legs ! the joints for his legs have a rose pattern on them which is hella cool but also just. why. bc this costume really has so many details, i wonder what idia was thinking when he designed it all and made it. it must've been a labor of love indeed.

and speaking of roses, that is the other flower that idia incorporates into the design of this model. the back of ortho's hands + the detailing near his knees + the pattern of his leg joints all feature roses in some way. roses are kinda a unique case in terms of meaning bc they come in many different colors (or can be dyed too), and over time each color has a different meaning. in general, roses are symbolic of love of some sort. but more than that i think it's important to note that all the depictions of the roses on ortho's model have no thorns on them. there could be two ways to take this: it could symbolize that ortho is hiding his thorns from people, only showing a beautiful flower. or it could symbolize the fact that ortho has no thorns, that he's just a beautiful flower.

to finish it off, we have his calves + feet. his calves are made out of glass, so they're see-through (again, idia being an absolute genius) and there are criss-crossing metal strips all along each calf. as for his feet, they're pointed downward. this makes me think of a ballerina. the way his feet are designed could be alluding to a ballerina's pointe shoe bc the feet do kinda resemble someone wearing pointe shoes. the square-ness of it reminds me of a toe box + the criss-cross design reminds me of the ribbon that pointe shows have.

in conclusion: it seems the whole look is reminiscent of a porcelain doll, maybe even one of those ballerinas found in trinket boxes ? his feet are definitely modeled after a ballerina. that means that the wings could be a tutu of sorts bc of how they drape around him in the full-body sprite and how they can spread when he's floating in his card art.

and before i go, a disclaimer, bc i'm by no means a design or art student so i might've missed out on glaringly obvious things. what i'm writing is just my own interpretation of the design and just. me gushing abt how pretty it is, so if you have your own thoughts or if you saw something i missed, feel free to rb or comment them !

(And im very interested in your skill of writing mystery and horror.. thats so unique!) Im thinking of silly fluff headcanons with Riddle, Ace, Malleus and Ruggie (separated) The backstory is: crowley being his idiot self is accidentally forced to take care of a random old mage's pet bunny for a couple weeks. But instead, he dumps all the work and responsibility on the reader because he has "more important duties to attend to" (👹). Reader asks the character for help! Will we succeed? or almost kill the bunny and crowleys head is chopped off? headcanon: riddle can take care of a rabbit effortlessly. you, however, cannot... and it caused you two to lose the rabbit somewhere in heartslabyul's resident building.

"...pardon?"

you and the headmaster were standing face-to-face as he held a bunny with a smile on his face. "i said, can you please look after this bunny for me? i have a meeting to attend to and i cannot bring a pet with me, now can i?" spoke the headmaster once more, making you sigh as you begrudgingly grabbed the bunny from him.

"why me? surely, there are other students that are well-equipped. why not leave him in heartslabyul?" you questioned, raising a brow as the bunny settled in your arms while you were busy talking to the headmaster.

"no time to talk! bye!"

there he goes again. as if he was in a rush, the headmaster runs off, leaving you in the hallway with the white bunny in your arms. you sighed heavily before looking down at the animal that seemed to find your arms a cosy place to nuzzle on.

speaking of heartslabyul, you decided to visit your dearest beloved in case he could help you with your little rabbit duties.

...

"...so you wish to let me assist you in taking care of a bunny that the headmaster entrusted to you?" asked riddle as his gaze flickered between your pleading eyes and the rabbit's innocent one. you nodded in response as you held the bunny upwards, "yes! i'm just afraid i might do something to this bunny accidentally and kill it! the headmaster told me it belongs to his friend and he's supposed to take care of it for a couple of weeks."

"but then, that should be the headmaster's responsibility," replied riddle. you sighed, "but you know he dumps his duties on me..." riddle hummed in response, not wanting to reply further to avoid disrespecting the head mage, even if he knew of his tendencies.

with a sigh and a small smile, he patted the bunny's head, "alright, but there are certain ground rules we need to follow when taking care of a bunny." your eyes lit up with joy as you smiled at riddle, "i knew i could count on you!"

...

"no, wait, f/n! you're not supposed to give milk to an adult rabbit!" warned riddle as he saw you reaching for the milk powder container on the cupboard, making you look back at him with a curious look. "really? the headmaster told me to feed it milk and grass..."

riddle placed his palm on his forehead, "feeding them milk will cause digestive problems, dear. here, you can feed the rabbit with one cup of fresh grass." he then handed you a cup filled with freshly cut grass from the dormitory garden. you thanked him and placed it in the bunny's cage as the animal started to eat its meal, leaving the door of the cage open as you added a cup of clean water beside the grass meal.

once the rabbit started eating, you sighed in relief and smiled at riddle, "thanks for helping out. the headmaster even gave me the wrong information... if it wasn't for you, this rabbit might have had diarrhoea by now."

"you're welcome. i don't think the headmaster has the proper idea on how to take care of a rabbit..." trailed off riddle as he turned around to grab a few things from the cupboard, while you also turned around to grab a glass of water for yourself.

and once you two got back to the kitchen counter, you saw the half-eaten cup of grass and a half-filled cup of clean water in the cage, with no signs of the bunny.

"...where did he go?"

"i don't know..." you replied before you placed your glass on the table and ran off the kitchen to search for the lost rabbit, making riddle trail along with you as he called for his dormmates, ordering them to search for the rabbit at once.

━ 𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙖 ━

headcanon: due to his flamingo and hedgehog care duties, he knew a thing or two when it comes to handling animals - though, he does have a record for sometimes losing them all over the heartslabyul garden. however, this time, he has it under control as long as you take care of the rabbit with him.

"woah~ a bunny!" exclaimed ace as he passed by the hallway and saw you holding a rabbit which was given to you prior to the headmaster's sudden escape. you turned to face him and handed it to him, "hold this for me."

"where did you get this?" asked ace as he held the bunny that you handed to him. "the headmaster is making me take care of it in his stead... you know, as usual," you spoke as you grabbed your smartphone and started searching through the olympus search engine to find ways on how to properly take care of a bunny.

"you're searching? psh, we can handle this! not to brag, but i have taken care of animals in my dorm... well... my demon dorm leader makes me, but... it still counts!" there was a cheeky smile on ace's face as he said those words, making you raise a brow in amusement as you continued reading through the search engine results.

after reading the do's and don'ts and the diet that rabbits should take, you were confident that everything would go smoothly. you followed ace back to your dorm and grim eyed the new intruder with a stink eye, "why is there a rabbit in here?"

"the headmaster dumped it on me," you replied as ace sat on your couch and played with the rabbit, finding it easy to handle it for the time being. grim sat beside ace, looking at the rabbit as he spoke, "so you're on pet-sitting duty? hehehe."

you had a bored expression on as grim tried to tease you, but you knew he was wrapped up in this order as well.

"did the headmaster leave some food for the little thing?" asked ace, making you shake your head. "all he told me was to take care of the rabbit and that it belonged to a friend... and he is supposed to take care of it for a couple of weeks, but he handed it to me," you replied as you started searching through your kitchen cabinets in case you have anything that was supposedly included in the rabbit's diet.

"ehhh~ i'm starting to feel sorry for you," spoke ace in a rather lighthearted tone as he laughed a little, letting you know that he was only joking around and messing with you. "hmph, anyway, i'll drop by sam's and see if he has some rabbit food in there. behave," you spoke, directing your last order to both ace and grim.

they gave you a rather sheepish smile with a thumbs-up, and though you did not trust those smiles one bit, you had no choice but to leave the dorm for a while, hoping they wouldn't do anything and possibly lose the rabbit.

surprisingly, everything was going smoothly. ace lived up to his word as he knew what to do to make sure the bunny remained well-fed, entertained, and satisfied. by the end of the day, you and ace were asleep on the couch, your head on his shoulder and the rabbit on his lap. grim was asleep beside you, resting peacefully after a long day of tending to the rabbit and getting used to the idea of taking care of one.

━ 𝙧𝙪𝙜𝙜𝙞𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙝𝙞 ━

headcanon: he knows. he just knows. of course, he won't assist you for free.

"ohh~ a rabbit."

ruggie's voice caught your attention as he peered from behind you while you were standing in the hallway, bewildered at the headmaster's audacity in running off after dumping his responsibility on you. you should have gotten used to it by now, but even then, you still can't believe he has the nerve to do such a thing.

"that headmaster... ugh..." you groaned under your breath, making ruggie laugh a little as he looked at you and then at the bunny. "shishishi, poor n/n~" teased the savanaclaw second year, making you sigh as you looked at him.

"you know how to take care of animals, right? i mean, your best subject is animal linguistics! i'm sure you can talk to this rabbit and figure out what he wants at certain times!" you spoke, aware of your dearest's abilities and hoping he would help you.

"hmmm~ i won't do it for free, though," mumbled ruggie as he was starting to think to himself before giving you his usual grin, "shishi~ how about dinner in exchange for helping you?"

you raised a brow in response, "are you asking me to go on a date or do you actually just want the food?"

"both!"

you laughed a little and sighed, "fine~ my treat." ruggie gleamed with joy as he grabbed the bunny from you and walked with you back to ramshackle. on your way back, you and ruggie were conversing about your day while he pats the head of the rabbit, making you grin a little at how adorable he was.

i mean, technically, you've never seen a hyena with a rabbit, and as far as you know, rabbits are part of the smaller prey that hyenas tend to hunt in the wild.

"i know what that grin means," spoke ruggie as he gave you a displeased expression. you chuckled in response and smiled at him, "i was just thinking that you look quite adorable~ hehehe~"

"hmmm... did the headmaster drop off the food of this little thing, too?" asked ruggie, trying to change the subject as he looked at the rabbit that was eyeing you both. you shook your head in response, "nope, not at all... we should head to sam's shop."

at the end of the day, ruggie seemed to have been taking care of it for the majority of the time. once the rabbit fell asleep, you opted for ordering dinner online to make sure the rabbit wouldn't be left alone in the dorm and may run away due to less supervision.

you were sure grim won't keep an eye on the rabbit, anyway.

as you took a bite of your meal, ruggie seemed delighted to be having his dinner with you in your dormitory. you both were seated on the couch with the television turned on, letting a random channel play through to function as background noise while the rabbit remained asleep in its cage.

"thank you for the meal~" spoke ruggie with a happy tone as he continued having his dinner.

"thank you for helping me," you replied with a smile as you sipped on your beverage, bringing both of your hands up to high-five one another for a job well done.

"shishishi, we make a great team~"

━ 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙪𝙨 𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙖 ━

headcanon: though he is knowledgeable, taking care of a small prey like a rabbit is one thing he isn't familiar with. as a result, both of you try to navigate through this responsibility.

"hm? what are you doing in here, dearest?"

malleus' voice caught you off guard as you turned around with the bunny in your arms, looking up at him as you sighed, "ah, the headmaster was here a moment ago. he left me this rabbit to take care of..."

malleus raised a brow in response, "a rabbit? i do not recall the headmaster ever having a pet rabbit..." you chuckled in response, "it belongs to a friend of his and he was supposed to take care of it for a few weeks, but he says he has some 'important things to take care of'."

you rolled your eyes in response before heaving a sigh, holding the rabbit to your chest, "well, at least the rabbit's cute..." malleus hummed in response as you both started to walk together back to your dorm. an idea suddenly came through your head as you looked up at him, "hey, um... mal, can you help me? i don't think i can take care of a bunny alone..."

malleus was stunned to hear your request. though he is quite unaware of pet-sitting a rabbit, he did not want to turn you down. he gave you a smile and said, "you request my assistance? now, how can i say no to your request?"

you smiled, feeling happy that you wouldn't be taking care of a rabbit alone.

needless to say, he was just as clueless as you.

"from my knowledge, the grass is included in a rabbit's diet. however, this one seems reluctant to eat it, " spoke malleus as he eyed the rabbit. they simply stared at the small bowl of grass before them before taking a few steps back, nuzzling themselves in their cage with obvious discomfort.

"...maybe they're not hungry...?" you trailed off, tilting your head as you sighed and patted the bunny's head. malleus seemed disappointed that the both of you were not going anywhere with your pet-sitting duties for the past 3 hours.

you decided to look through some useful sites while malleus stood beside you, watching you navigate through the device and reading through some rabbit care guides. "hmm... we should place the bunny in a quiet and secure place... let's go upstairs," you spoke as you looked at malleus, making him nod in response as you both went upstairs with the bunny.

"and we should bond with the bunny so they warm up to us..." you added as you sat beside the rabbit cage, leaving the door open so they would step out and get used to the environment.

so far, you have been adjusting quite well and it reached the point where the bunny also warmed up to malleus, no longer feeling intimidated and instead, prefers to snuggle with malleus at the end of the day.

it seems as though your temporary pet-sitting unexpectedly turned you both into rabbit parents.

an outfit for my beloved Wanda if she ends up going to the 2024 Hellfire Gala (if there is one at all tbh)!! I wasn't personally a fan of her 2023 look, so I decided to try my hand at designing a look of my own despite knowing jack shit about fashion. design breakdown, inspiration photos, and just general rambling under the cut :)

hehe, this is the part where I ramble about my design process!! I will confess, it took me four full sketches before I finally managed to purge the "high fantasy fairy queen dress" brainrot from my mind and arrive at a concept that actually felt like Wanda. given that as of her 2023 solo run, she's a self-employed business owner, a twist on a suit felt appropriate!! it's elegant, it's dramatic, it's sexy, it's powerful, and it's also a garment that, like, real people could wear?? which, I know this is a comic book and she also has magic, but, like. girl deserves a fit that's also reasonably comfortable. girl deserves pockets (I didn't showcase them, but the pants absolutely have humongous magic pockets.) talking fabric, I will confess that I really don't know much, but I picture the red fabric being pretty thick silk and the black fabric possibly being velvet? the shoes are beaded pretty much all over with the same crystal material as the crown.

as I continued to refine my concept, I looked to Kevin Wada's 2015 redesign for Wanda's last solo run for more inspiration. that's how I arrived at concepts such as the use of beaded accessories, floral embroidery, and especially the plunging neckline. I also knew I wanted to pay homage to Wanda's heritage without being stereotypical, so I decided to look to Zita Moldovan, a Romani designer whose site is linked above, to see how she incorporated her culture into her work. (as an aside, there's this other dress from her Romany Dreams collection that I would LOVE to draw Wanda in at some point, but that was not this project. maybe soon.) the dress I included in my (very, very trimmed down) inspo board was my primary reference as I drew the pattern for the pant part of the pantsuit. (I attempted multiple versions where the pattern was in color, but it wound up looking really muddy, so I opted for the slightly more subtle version you see here.) the pose for the final piece doesn't showcase the epaulette well (or the crown pin, which was another reference to the Kevin Wada design), so here's a bonus sketch that came out of the "design" part of this whole project that shows them both better:

anyone who has followed my art knows that I generally draw my Wanda with a high ponytail, but I decided to spice things up and draw her with a half-up like she has circa Uncanny Avengers #27 (this is when she and Jericho are being so very sweet together). the golden hoop earrings are another thing I carried over from my general Wanda design, and the makeup is just a quick thing I came up with on the fly. it's not the spiciest, I know, but I decided there was enough going on elsewhere that she didn't need a crazy makeup look as well. the full-finger ring is specifically a reference to her very first appearance in X-Men #4, where she calls upon her power by pointing her right index finger. I thought it would be cool to accentuate that finger as a result!!

and there you have it--a tribute to Kevin Wada and Zita Moldovan from an artist who knows nothing about fashion but does have severe enough blorbo brainrot to attempt to design an outfit regardless :D

one could say many things about the beloved @hisui-dreamer!! from the way she adores her friends to teh way she writes, rinna is always soft and sweet. she radiates comfort and is such a soothing person, i feel so safe around her. she writes x reader content and every single piece is its own masterpiece. she's one of my closest friends on here and i wish nothing but the best for her every day.

Have you seen the Halloween ssr vil voiceline? It goes something like "my cape is long enough to cover another person, I can hide you if a scary ghost comes around" or something similar. I feel like your soft Yan vil would definitely say something like this

I have not heard it, despite having him. I have this habit of focusing on one five star and completely maxing their levels, spells, and vignettes before moving on to the next. As of now, the only maxed cards I have are Fairy Gala Leona, Regular SSR Jamil, Regular SSR Kalim, and Regular SSR Ace. The two I'm focusing on right now is Beans Day Floyd and Regular SSR Ruggie. Currently in the waiting room is Ghost Bride Ace, Birthday Ortho, Regular SSR Jack, Ghost Bride Idia, Regular SSR Trey, Stargazer Deuce, Camping Ruggie, Halloween Vil, Halloween Jade, and Regular SSR Riddle. Twisted Wonderland Main Story Scattered Thoughts (Prologue Chapter 1-2)

Let's take it from the top, I need a refresher!

Okay first things first, uh, Grim? Buddy. Our beloved arsonist. How were you planning on getting the robes off of Yuu? How were you planning on WEARING human sized robes? Also, yes Grim, weasel. Reason 1: tiny gremlin. I think it was ferret in Japanese. Reason 2: I believe in Yuu choosing violence in the dialogue options. Peace was never an option. And again I ask, how is he planning to fit those robes? LOL the chase sequence, that’s one way to get a grand tour! GRIM, NO FIRE IN THE LIBRARY, THINK OF THE BOOKS! Omg, it’s Crowley! How- how did he know to come here? Did he just see the open coffin and go “...ooooooooo… I should check on what that is.” You know, people always think Grim is Yuu’s familiar, I want to know more about how familiars work in Twisted Wonderland. Wait, I just realized Grim doesn’t have his stone, NO, HE LOOKS WEIRD WITHOUT IT! TWST PUT IT BACK! I really want to see how the beginning of the ceremony looks when everyone gets out of the coffins, since they aren’t supposed to get out themselves. I wanna see the full orientation. Dang it Ramshackle Duo, I wanted to see that! Hope the anime shows us. Hm. So Crowley opens them himself. I imagine he does it with magic, but imagine this man opening 200 coffins by hand. Nah, Crowley would never. He doesn’t do anything. Well, except make me suspicious, but that’s a conversation for another day. Wait, hang on I think I should’ve picked the other dialogue option, that might answer some questions. I'll do that later. You know, when I first played the prologue, I tried reading it with a translation next to me (as everyone insisted it was superior), but I got a headache going back and forth so I bit the bullet and just read the ENG version. Ah, who dis be or where I be? Both logical questions. I’ll ask who dis be, I don’t remeber what I picked the first time. He’s truly shooketh at the idea of Yuu not knowing who he is. “My magnamity is boundless” ah here come the cracks! There’s the Crowley we know and… know. Hold on, there’s a CHAIRMAN!? I forgot about that, who is this chairman? And why pick Crowley? Magic or academy. Well, if it was me I’d be more interested in the magic aspect than the academy aspect. Like Yuu, we gotta ask the real questions here, why be shocked at the idea of school? I also want to know more about this carriage thing- I know in the manga and I’m pretty sure the novel too the Yuus get isekaied by Carriage-kun Truck-kun style, does Yuu get isekaied by Carriage-kun in the game? To me it sounds like you’re supposed to climb into a coffin in a carriage, I hope the others students were informed of how this works. Also, how the heck did this coffin appear in Not Twisted Wonderland, I have so many questions. “So this carriage dragged me here against my will?” yes, this is the Yuu I am here for! Okay that was the first Chapter of the Prologue, I forgot how much I liked that! I can’t wait for the novel to drop in English, I really want to read it in book form! I am holding that thing to the standard of Yuurei20’s translations, I expect nothing less!

Omg, hello Twistune! The whiplash I had of the first 3 Prologue twistunes with the fairy gala twistunes was crazy. RIDDLE! RIDDLE! THAT’S MY BOY, HI BUDDY! Oh no, the pre-character development whiplash is gonna hurt! Did Leona sleep through the whole orientation? Azul is boy with glasses, what an observation Yuu. Also, how close was Yuu to be able to notice Leona had ears? They’re under his hood? And that Vil is handsome, I know what you are, Yuu! Well, either Yuu is that or I’m just too ace to notice when someone is handsome. I mean it’s a literal fact about Vil… anyway! Crowley really just dipped in the middle of the ceremony! Wait, does that mean Grim was chasing Yuu that long? Yuu has stamina for days, Yuu should have joined the track club! Couldn’t be me, I would’ve died by the second location. Also does that mean they called Yuu’s name and Yuu not showing up tipped Crowley off? Oh, that explains it. Yuu last name reveal then? Anyone? Voice from tablet, heh. Hm, but no one else knew why he left… Oh gosh, he just barged in. Guess he doesn’t like being accused of a tummyache. Even he thinks he’s a weasel. Okay let’s settle this: Weasel, Cat, or Ferret, place your votes now! I don’t actually have a poll. Hello Dark Mirror! Oh that’s the mirror bgm! Well, I mean no duh it’s the bgm music, I guess I just never realized DM had a theme song. Can I call you DM? I’m calling you DM. “I’m Yuu…” Yuu WHAT, Yuu? You can’t hide that last name forever! The squint! “Unclear to me… soundless, colorless, shapeless, utterly vacant” POV, you have no soul! Honestly, if I got teleported to a school for mages only to find out I had no magic, I would be utterly devastated. I’d love to be magical! One century, is that saying the system has been around for 100 years or that the school has been around for 100 years? Yuu just showed up and broke the streak, good on Yuu! I really want to know Grim’s backstory, like what is his deal? He’s got magic, but he’s mistaken for a familiar and isn’t allowed to be a whole student? I wonder what would have happened if he went up to the DM? Being honest, he doesn’t seem like a fit anywhere, but I’m curious. Someone, give him a Buzzfeed quiz! HE SET KALIM ON FIRE, GRIM NOOOO! Save the arson for later! Leona: “Can I go now, orrrrr…” no but he was ready to lead, the Ramshackle Duo is interrupting his nap time. Azuuuul! Your smiles are sus! Chill out pal! He just breathes in manipulation, wild. Yes Idia, that is participation credit. When I’m participating, I’m the type to just look around to see if anyone else has their hand up before volunteering. HE’S STILL ON FIRE, HELP HIM! Where is Jamil, aren’t the vice housewardens here? Is it just me, or does Kalim sound a little different? Actually, good point Leona, this is Crowley’s first installment of his Not Doing Anything Helpful World Tour. The first of many. Yay, Riddle! Ooo, Twistune time! … gosh it’s so SLOW OMG! I have a question for the class. Apparently, the story within the twistune varies based on whether or not we reach the designated score threshold. Does anyone know what it looks like if you don’t get there? The perfectionist in me refuses to fail to find out.

I decided to make a post for Fairy Gala What if (Remix) since it involves three of the first years, aka my Yuu’s sons, so of course, I have to get Yuu involved haha

Everything is underneath the cut.

Just like with my post for the OG FG event, things proceed the same as canon until it’s decided who will be a part of the FG infiltration team. 

The first change from canon happens when Crowley summons Yuu to his office after he orders Leona and Riddle to bring Jack and Ace there, so she appears early on unlike her game counterpart who doesn’t appear until later. 

Because nobody handles her sons better than her, Yuu is brought into the fold to ensure Ace/Jack are agreeable/behave themselves. 

Like with OG FG, Yuu agrees to help out to bring the temperature at Ramshackle back to normal. Plus, she can’t not get involved when her sons are a part of this operation.

Another reason Crowley called Yuu over was, if it so happened that Jack/Ace tried to refuse to help, he planned to tell them that he’d just leave everything to Yuu cause she’s so capable and would surely be willing to fill in for her beloved sons.

Naturally, when Crowley makes that “threat”, Ace/Jack are not pleased, Jack especially since he hates all things underhanded. As a result, they both agree to participate without Leona needing to manipulate Jack.

(I wanted to change things up with Jack agreeing to help out cause thanks to Yuu’s influence he doesn’t hate working with others to the degree he did at the start of the school year. He still prefers to do things on his own, but he can be a good team player when necessary, usually when he’s working with Yuu and the other first years.)

At this point, Yuu’s role in all this is kinda up in the air. She was mostly brought in to watch over her sons, but she’ll be given a more serious role if they decide she’s needed for their plan to steal the scepter. 

From there things proceed like in canon with the group having a meeting with Leona and Riddle who reach out to Vil and Crewel for help, like the OG FG crew did. 

Yuu is very surprised when it’s revealed that Ortho and Silver are also a part of the mission, but she thinks they’d make great additions to the fashion show since Ortho is a perfect example of evolution and Silver is just drop dead gorgeous ✨

However, upon hearing that Sebek was originally asked and he refused, Yuu is exasperated that he let his prejudice get the better of him again and was rude to Riddle/Leona despite how often she scolds him about that. That’s why she fully intends to have a talk with him later about it. 

When it comes time for the guys to change into their FG wear, Yuu is enjoying every minute of it cause Jack looks so handsome. She is taking so many pictures of him, much to his embarrassment. 

Meanwhile, when Ace steps out, Yuu snaps one pic of him before returning her attention to Jack, much to his annoyance 😂 She’s of course just messing with him haha

Yuu kinda needs a moment to recover when Silver comes out cause he’s so ridiculously pretty. She wonders if it’s legal for someone to be that gorgeous. The fairies won’t be mad if they show up with Silver who’s prettier than everyone, will they? lol

However, she gets the most excited about Ortho and just gushes over how adorable/beautiful he is.

Needless to say, Yuu is having blast, and she probably gets scolded by Vil/Crewel for getting too excited lol

In the end, it’s decided that Ortho/Silver/Jack will be the runway team while Ace is in charge of stealing the scepter. Yuu is given a support role and will basically be teamed up with Ace, which she is relieved about because she did not think she could make it as a runway model lol

Technically, Ace doesn’t need a partner, but everyone just feels better about including Yuu in the team cause she’s good at handling her sons and thinking on her feet, and her Quirk might prove useful if things somehow go wrong. 

Because she intends to go to the FG, Yuu will get an outfit. It just comes later than the others since the main four needed to be prioritized, and Crewel wanted to think more about what he’d do with her outfit, like with the OG FG event, so her outfit is given to her the next day, right before the event. 

From there, things proceed like in canon, and Yuu is in support of Ortho’s technological illusion idea.

When the guys do their first runway model practice, Yuu feels bad for them after they receive Vil’s harsh critique. Like she understands where Vil is coming from, but she thinks it only makes sense that Ortho/Jack/Silver have no idea what they’re doing cause they have no experience with this kinda thing. Of course, they were gonna do poorly lol

Yuu knows the training is gonna be rough, so she’s gonna cheer her sons/Silver on and hope they’ll make it through okay 😂

Things proceed like they do in canon with Jack/Silver struggling with their walking practice and Vil calling out Ortho for not being original, which leads to Ortho leaving the ballroom to think on the matter.

Since she thinks Ortho could use some time to himself, Yuu doesn’t go after him, even though she wants to since she hated seeing him looking so glum because of Vil’s harsh critque. 

However, Yuu does still want to help Ortho. That’s why she gets the idea of going to see Sebek, both to scold him for being rude to Leona/Riddle and because she knows Sebek’s vast knowledge of the fae would be a great asset to their team.

That’s why she leaves Grim, who of course was brought along when Yuu was summoned at the start, with Ace in the ballroom and pays Diasomnia a visit so she can talk to Sebek.

(During this time, while Yuu is absent, the events of Ace’s SR happen with Grim joining him and Lilia in the heckling lol When Ace leaves the room, he takes Grim with him, and they go check on Ortho like what Ace does in canon.)

(After that, the events of Jack’s R happen with everything proceeding like it does in canon)

When he sees Yuu appear at his dorm, Sebek scolds her for coming somewhere so cold when she’s so bad with the cold.

His thoughtfulness improves her mood, but she stands firm with her decision to scold him for how he treated Riddle/Leona cause she raised her sons to be better than that 😂

Unsurprisingly, Sebek is not pleased that she’s here to scold him, but he quickly shuts up when she says she could always ask Malleus/Lilia to scold him instead lol

However, in the end, Yuu doesn’t scold him too much cause she feels bad for how he’s had to suffer from the cold all this time, although this still doesn’t excuse his impolite behavior. 

(Yuu makes sure to get Sebek to promise to apologize to Riddle/Leona the next time he sees them. Silver is really impressed when he eventualy hears about this since the only people he has ever seen get Sebek to apologize other than his relatives are Malleus/Lilia lol 😂)

After she finishes scolding him, Yuu decides to reveal that she came to see him because she wants him to help out with Ortho’s efforts to create an original plan to wow the audience at the FG.

Sebek shows some reluctance at first, but in the end, he agrees because he’s unable to tell Yuu ‘no’ once she has set her mind on something. It also helps that she riles up his competitive spirit/gets him jealous by throwing a lot of compliments Silver’s way and points out how much help he’s being to save everyone, Diasomnia included, from the out of control temperature situation. 

When she says that she’ll just have to rely more on Silver and his impressive fae knowledge since Sebek can’t help her, Sebek finally takes the bait and says that he’d be way more helpful than Silver. He knows way more about the fae than Silver could ever hope to know! 

And that’s how Yuu successfully gets Sebek on board with helping Ortho come up with an original plan to wow everyone at the FG lol 

Around the time Yuu enlists Sebek’s help, Ace contacts her with his plan to gather up the other first years. He tries to suggest meeting up at Ramshackle, but she suggests not actually going inside the building because of how hot and miserable it is inside her dorm.

(During this time, the events of Silver’s SR happen, and they’re the same as canon since Yuu doesn’t get involved with Silver’s efforts to collect translator bells for everyone.)

So the main changes from canon with the first years’ meeting is that it takes place outside and that Yuu personally recruited Sebek. 

Everything else is the same with Ortho coming up with his big evolutionary idea that requires the help of all the first years. 

The events of Ortho’s SSR story are also the same except Yuu contacts everyone’s dorm leaders on her sons’ behalf so no one will get worried about their absence.

Upon hearing what they’re doing, Riddle volunteers to bring dinner to everyone like he does in canon, saving Yuu from having to do that like she had originally planned to do. 

It’s after dinner that Yuu has a vision about how the faires discover their plot after Jack sneezes and disrupts Ortho’s illusion on the scepter they successfully stole.

Her vision shows her that Jack and Ace will lose their tempers, but Silver is able to salvage the situation, leading to the Fairy Queen handing over the magestone willingly.

While things turn out alright in the end, Yuu would still like to avoid things getting out of hand like they did, and she doesn’t wanna see Jack/Ace get in trouble with their dorm leaders. That’s why she comes up with the idea of Ace handing the scepter over to her rather than just leaving it by the tree to take back with them later.

Yuu also tells Jack that he must not sneeze, no matter what. She also tells her sons not to lose their tempers lol

When everyone eventually passes out for the night, it happens in the gym rather than in Ramshackle since it’s too hot in the dorm, and since they were all doing a lot of work in the gym in Ortho’s SSR story, I could see everyone conking out there.

Yuu makes sure to fetch blankets and pillows from Ramshackle, so everyone can sleep comfortably. Plus, it’s chilly in the gym, so she doesn’t want anyone to get sick.

(Thankfully, it’s not so cold that it’s unbearable for Yuu. It also helps that she snuggles up to Jack who’s a walking furnace. Cuddling with him is the perfect way to escape the cold.)

When it comes time for the fashion show, things proceed like in canon up until Ace gets the Fairy Queen’s scepter. Rather than leave it by the tree, he covertly passes it along to Yuu.

Once she has the scepter in hand, Yuu books it for the exit. To make this all easier for her, she quickly removes the magestone from the scepter and stashes the scepter somewhere it won’t be easily found by fairies, intending to collect it later after the FG ends.

Thankfully, Yuu is able to leave the Botanical Garden without any issue. Meanwhile, Jack doesn’t sneeze, both because Ace refrains from dumping so much fairy dust on him and because Jack is on high alert for sneezes and has no intention to let one escape him lol

The group reunites at the Seven Greats statues and shares a high five over the complete success of their mission. 

While Ortho takes care of bringing a sleeping Silver back to his dorm, Yuu quickly delivers the magestone to Crowley so peace can finally be restored to NRC.

That evening, once everything’s back to normal, Yuu decides to have a little party at Ramshackle for the first years to celebrate the infiltration team’s success and to reward her sons for all their hard work. 

She also makes Sebek promise to bring some food back to Silver which he reluctantly agrees to do lol 

All in all, while the last day and half was really crazy, Yuu has no regrets about getting involved with the FG infiltration team since she really enjoyed getting to work together with her sons and see them all getting along.

These are precious memories that she’ll always treasure, no matter what.
