Dear Gus & Magnus,

One good thing about the time change is that it's daylight longer -- actually, I guess that's the whole point (and the only good thing about it) -- which made the idea of taking a walk before dinner feasible. It helped that Mom bought a new crockpot she's excited about and doesn't have to be tied to the kitchen when she uses it.

We deviated from our usual route and ended up walking the alley on the lower part of our street. We heard Isaac and Eli playing in their backyard, so we stopped to say hello. Gus nearly had a conniption asking if he could go around the fence and play for a while. But he took it well when we said we had to get back home.

Our House

Bright and early the next day I sent Thomas out to tend garden and get those skill points he was needing for work! He and Corinna bumped into each other in the nursery and apparently he was grumpy about it.

Because he followed her into the living room and started an argument! 

It’s all a part of married life I guess, and they both got over the little spat within minutes.

Thomas has been rolling wants to help Karim with all his toddler skills so I had him begin to teach him to walk. I don’t know if he’s done this before I entered the household for rotation or if it’s just been that long since I actually played through the toddler skills in my game because it seemed to be going lightning quick!

Corinna packed up Tana for another walk, though, and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity for some family time so I paused the walking training and the whole family set out for the a nice little summer stroll!

Alright! Jody McAlister has now become a toddler!

Back from the stroll and Karim is now walking! Woot! Woot!

Aww...It looks like Thomas still feels a little bad about yelling at Corinna this morning. Glad to see they’ve completely made up!

And a little make up woohoo is in the works too it looks like...LOL! That’s my cue to leave for the evening!

hear me out, danny speaking russian (dc x dp hc)

so i was just watching a video about space, right? allegedly, turns out if you (an american) wanna board the international space station you must speak russian fluently since the only way to get there is by a russian shuttle and pilot (nasa apparently ended their own shuttle program way back when??) (don’t quote me on this)

so picture danny learning russian at a relatively young age for the sole hope of going to space and such, and it coming out every once in a while when he’s mumbling or something like that (it’s basically second nature to him)

so danny ends up at gotham for whatever reason (demon twins, reveal gone wrong, idc, they’re all cool) and he wants to start anew, so he pretends to only speak russian?? ig?? it’d make for some funny/interesting BatFam interactions i suppose

i don’t know where i was going with this but i want to read prompts of danny speaking russian

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Today was basically a repeat of yesterday, except we spent less time outside. Benjamin and Antonia joined us in the front yard for a bit, then we took a family walk through the neighborhood, during which I pulled Mags on the sled and Gus enjoyed looking for chunks of ice in the gutters.

We're relaxing the rules a little on screen time to watch some movies because we're starting to go stir crazy. Our outgoing pipes are frozen, so we're limiting ourselves to using the downstairs bathroom, which has fully functional plumbing, thank goodness -- sink, shower, toilet. The high tomorrow is 35 degrees and I'm hoping those precious three degrees above freezing will thaw the pipes.
