Bruce sobbing until he throws up in his room one night after he finds out in Flashpoint that his baby would have been a priest, had he never met him.
Instead of growing up surrounded by guns and blood, Jason might have been taken in by the local church and raised as the pastor's son instead of his own. He would have had plentiful food and attended Sunday mass, clutching crosses and Bibles between his little fingers instead of batarangs. A cross would have danged around his neck, and the distinctive 'R' of the Robin uniform wouldn't have been plastered on his chest. He would have slept throughout the night, safe in those stained-glass walls, in his bed instead of out fighting crime.
He could have graduated high school, and all the church clergy would have sat in the stands to watch, cheering on their boy as he walked up to the podium to receive his diploma.
Jason would have gone to school—college—and become a man of the community. He would have found solace in the Lord instead of tucked away under a cape and cowl after long patrols. His boy would have inspired all those who stepped foot into his church, helped hundreds, and saved dozens of souls.
Depending on his branch, the boy could have gotten a wife and had kids. He could have been happy.
Yet, curse Bruce and his infinite charity, he couldn't bear to see a boy alone on the streets, left in the same situation he had been all those years ago. What man in his right mind wouldn't of taken Jason in that night?
He can't bring himself to think about it. His baby boy could have been alive and well this entire time, and Bruce wouldn't have ever known him.
The guilt he feels over that is worse than the guilt he felt when Jason died in that warehouse, knowing that he damn well could have prevented it, had it not been for his stupid, shadow-covered, bleeding heart.

Flashpoint Paradox will always be my favourite of the animated movies because not only does it give me single mum Nora Allen [my preferred] but it also queerbaits you with Barry for no reason. The infamous "you're the bottom and I'm the top!" line from Roscoe and then the whole scene where Barry is about to tell Nora he's a superhero and she thinks he's about to come out as gay and cuts him off to reassure him that she'll still love him and there's nothing wrong with it and he's like "wait what?"
And then they never address it ever again
Then he saves the timeline and goes back to being married to Iris and we can all take a big relieved breath and wipe our brows because wow haha can you believe we almost got a famous legacy hero to be gay as if that would ever happen lmao so anyways back to the straights -

Nightwing: so are we ever going to unpack the fact that in another timeline your parents become you and the Joker.
Bruce: ...no
Ok I think I need to write a short fact about this
Bruce just puts his fingers in his ears and says "la la la la" anytime someone tries to bring it up

AU idea
Due to some dimensional fuckery because the Flashpoint timeline was written back out of existence instead of being erased Thomas Wayne is transported to a different Earth's Gotham
It's Battinson's Gotham post Riddler and maybe Robin acquisition
Like imagine Thomas trying to adapt to this different future Gotham while remaining incognito
Finding this version of his son who's also a vigilante and barely mentally functioning
When Battinson isn't stalking Thomas Thomas is stalking his son
Battinson trying to track down this mysterious figure dressed up like him thinking it's another psychopathic fanboy
Trying to parent a traumatized boy who sneaks out to track down his parent's killer while this violent Batman obsessed murderer is out there
have fun

Flash Year One: The Perfect DCU Origin Story
James Gunn has said that this is a superhero universe that is going to be in full swing right from Superman onward. That works for a lot of big time heroes but origins can really be a way to showcase a lot of internal growth that may be missed if they are skipped.
There are various reasons why The Flash Year One would make a really amazing starting point for the next Flash iteration. One you could easily just make it a two part animated movie akin to the Spiderverse franchise. That gives you the ability to animate the panels and bring the colors that pop off the pages to life.
From a story telling perspective it is uniquely different as well in terms of Barry Allen becoming the Flash. The only similarity is the lightning strike. You could essentially start an animated movie with Barry being rushed into the hospital and then subsequently awaking from the coma. That just makes it more of a young Flash story.
Tumblr media
Barry Allen deserves the redemption after the colossal failure of The Flash movie. As do the supporting characters. One extremely viable character is August Heart who as many know inevitably becomes a speedster himself known as Godspeed. This could even be an animated trilogy and use Year One to jump into the Godspeed arc. As much as the casting of Kiersey Clemons as Iris West was near perfect , Iris as a character deserves the chance to shine in a new Flash iteration. She is the reason Barry Allen pushes himself to be heroic and you could easily introduce Wally or Wallace as a potential Kid Flash.
Story wise the story is very easy to connect with and you keep it Flash characters only. With an expanded story and screen time for a movie you could have The Flash fight a classic Rogue before introducing The Turtle as the main villain. Turtle is the exact opposite of Flash which is why the story forces Barry to think outside the box.
There is also a futuristic element that could used as a potential storyline to set up an alternate possibilty to do elseworlds stuff. One that is different from an apocalytpic wasteland scenario. DC needs to do things we have not already seen before. This story is so well written because it takes certain elements of Barry's story that works but also revitalizes his early days to not just be yet another battle with Reverse Flash.
Tumblr media
Origin stories or early Superhero stories are very important. Not every character needs to be middle aged and already 10 years in. The future elements allow you to do both here as well. The world deserves to see more of Joshua Williamson's writing and Howard Porter's art work come to life. This story is full of beautiful and eye popping art work that deserves to be seen by the largest audience possible. This story never sits on my shelf long enough to collect dust and it is the epitome of respect as well as creating something new and lasting.

Thoughts on Pennyswaynes in which kid Bruce dies, Thomas becomes Batman, Martha the joker (? I dont fully understand the why of that, but im pretty sure she did that in that universe?) What does Alfred do? Besides suffering
You're talking about the Flashpoint universe, right? Martha ends up killing Alfred in that one.
Tumblr media
I think in a Pennywaynes light, this is especially gruesome. Without Bruce, Martha loses it. But without Alfred, that's when Thomas starts to lose it and realize his wife is lost. She isn't just greiving, if she's willing to hurt Alfred of all people.

So, according to my calendar, and my notification from @gorogues , it's Len's birthday today! That being said, I couldn't just do nothing, so I spent an hour or two making this! Happy birthday Captain Cold! (Please appreciate the costume transitions, I'm very proud of them! :> ) I did my best to get all the footage I could, but I only really had access to Injustice 2 and a few clips from YouTube :<
Potential flash tw.

Ok so you know the flashpoint timeline. Imagine if joker Martha and OG Joker interacted.
Martha: you're not good enough for my son, your schemes are shit.
Joker: do you like screw ball romantic comedies from the 40s.
One 2-hour conversation later
Martha: you have my blessing.
Bruce: what blessing?
Martha: Oh wait you're not going to propose to ... I'm calling him Jack so we don't get confused.
Bruce: who's Jack?
Martha: your world's joker.
Bruce: with a look of horror on his face: excuse me.
Martha: Bruce I raised you don't try to deny it. You want him so bad it makes you look stupid.
Martha: You remind me too much of your father he tried to deny that he liked me too, it was quite funny.
Bruce: Can we stop talking now.
Martha: It was a real pride and prejudice situation.
Bruce: kill me
Anon, have you been in my fic drafts??

(SPOILERS FOR THE FLASH)
So, uh…is it just me or was “The Flash”’ movie lowkey a Cliffnotes remake of season 3 of CW Flash?
You got the Flashpoint Paradox source material, the hidden villain being an evil Barry, the evil Barry ALSO being a time remnant created by the original Barry, the movie being about Barry having to learn that he can’t just use time travel to fix the past, etc.
