Hello, I am Purity Abdalla 32year old woman living in Gaza tents, I have two children, and I hope you know the current situation very well in Gaza. I have lived with type 2 diabetes since my early childhood age, but I have been managing the condition.

My condition worsened when I couldn't access insulin because of the protracted conflict in my war-torn homeland. I desperately need insulin (Humalog) injection and seek for medical attention which I have not had access to for the last one month, although I am a pregnant woman with type 2 diabetes, and I require a delicate insulin balance.

I feel like I am fighting for my life every single day. I am afraid if I don't receive insulin injection and medical attention i might go to coma and I don't know the state i will leave my young kids. A times I feel like there is no one in the entire world who can help me, but again I feel there are generous people who can come through for me.Anyway I have faced the cruel part of the world and hope well-wishers can come through for me.

Incorrect, the fact that Biden has dropped out and a candidate with history of supporting medicare for all and being more receptive to a ceasefire in the I/P conflict has made me go from "I cannot morally support the Democratic nominee" to "I am voting for the Democratic nominee despite the fact she isn't perfect in every respect." I'm really happy this played out. The Dems for the most part abandoned the old Obama platform and it feels like its possible an actual progressive agenda could come to pass in my lifetime.

Last July, I had my first colonoscopy at the age of 26. I was suffering from dysregularity, frequent diarrhea, and cramping. At the time, the diagnosis was post-infection irritable bowel syndrome caused by some form of infectious colitis.

Unfortunately, over the course of the following year, my symptoms gradually intensified and eventually became largely unresponsive to lifestyle-change-based treatment. It's gotten to the point that, for the past two months, I've been having to rely on max dose immodium to maintaining a semblance of normality in the bathroom.

Thinking that perhaps he had misdiagnosed ulcerative colitis, my gastroenterologist prescribed a course of budesonide. Sadly, it was completely ineffectual. As such, I was scheduled for yet another colonoscopy.

A few days ago, on June 20th, less than a year after my first one, I had the second colonoscopy of my life. Many more biopsies were taken this time. I haven't yet gotten the results. Frankly, I'm terrified of what they might find.

To add insult to injury, my insurance has a massive deductible, so I'm on the hook financially for pretty much the entire procedure.

I don't yet know what the total cost will be. Last time, it was about five thousand dollars. With all the extra biopsies this time, it might be a bit more, but I won't know what the pathology bill is for a while.

I've been running a fundraising campaign on other sites since June 11th and have managed to raise a decent amount of money.

Unfortunately, donations seem to have stalled at $2,987.18, a little over $2,000 short of our $5,000 goal.

A surgeon who carried out the UK’s first womb transplant on a cisgender woman has said similar transplants for transgender women are probably about 10 to 20 years away.

In February, Imperial College London professor, James Smith, and his colleague, Isabel Quiroga, from the Oxford Transplant Centre, carried out the womb transplant on a married woman whose 40-year-old sister was willing to donate her own, having already given birth to two children.

The 34-year-old recipient, who lives in England and wishes not to be named, received the transplant during an operation lasting more than nine hours at the Churchill Hospital, in Oxford.

It is hoped that, in the future, womb transplants can be performed on trans women, giving them the chance to have a baby, but Smith said the reality of this is still decades away.

There is currently no “technical feasibility” to perform the operation on trans women due to a difference in the pelvic and vascular anatomy, the shape of the pelvis and issues with the microbiome – the network of micro-organisms that live in the human body, he explained...

Dr Narendra Kaushik, a surgeon in the Indian capital New Dehli, said in May 2022 that transplanting uteruses into trans women is “the future."

Uterine transplants are currently rare, costly and experimental surgeries that typically rely on donor organs. They are often done on people born without a uterus so they can become pregnant and give birth.

The first successful womb transplant took place at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden in 2014. Two years later, the operation was carried successfully once more in the US.

About 50 babies have now been born worldwide as a result of womb transplants.

Kaushik, who has 15 years of experience in gender-affirming surgeries, said: “We cannot predict exactly when this will happen but it will happen soon. We have our plans and we are very optimistic.”

BLACK DISABLED ELDER NEEDS MEDS ASAP!!!

My mom just told me shes been out of some of her heart and blood pressure medicine for days! Shes on a cocktail of meds to keep her heart from spurting out blood clots which has caused her to have mini strokes.

I need like $95 to get a her meds and $20 to get to the pharmacy (its raining) , this is urgent! Without those meds shes at a VERY HIGH RISK of having another stroke, which would send her to the ER
