Izumi stuttered as Leo pulled him into their shared apartment, protesting the sudden movement and trying to pull away. "Why are you so happy all of a sudden?" He said, tossing his bag on the floor (ugh, he'd move it later) and kicking the door shut behind him as Leo continued to drag him to their tiny kitchen space. The usual mess greeted him, papers scattered over the countertops, a half cooked lunch left on the stove. He loathed to think about trying to clean that later, but his attention was drawn to Leo once more as a song started playing from his laptop.

It was...different from Leo's usual style. Slower, but pleasant. Leo grabbed Izumi's hand and pulled him close. "I had so much inspiration today! Isn't it nice?" Leo began to move in a very clunky waltz, stepping on Izumi's toes and bumping into the counters. "I couldn't stop thinking of you."

Izumi's face heated up at that comment. He knew that Leo saw him as his greatest muse, but when the product was something as slow and romantic as the song that echoed off their tiled kitchen, it still made him pause. Leo's hand was warm in his as Izumi followed his lead.

"You still need to clean up this mess, Leo-kun. It looks like a storm blew through here!" He allowed himself to be pulled closer to Leo, his other hand resting on Leo's waist while Leo's was on Izumi's back. Leo was warm, he was home. Despite the mess and the frustration of his eccentricities, Izumi had to admit that these moments, hand in hand waltzing clumsily in the kitchen made it all worth it.

☆ The primary inspirations behind this AU are Alhaitham's Demo and this Fan Musical that debuted on Spring HoyoFair 2023!

Alhaitham's Demo no doubt gave many writers and daydreamers heavy brainrot and I happen to be one of them lol. But it was not until the fan musical that I had a concrete enough idea. I was charmed by the amount of tavern shenanigans this concept had the potential to bring, which is something that I really wanted to write at the moment :>

☆ Originally, Scaramouche or, Wanderer wasn't even supposed to be part of the AU!

Mainly because I didn't see many inclusion of him in the Sumeru Crew (at that time) and was unsure how it'd be taken D: But then, I remembered the v3.6 trailer where he was duking it out with the others and I was like 'why not?'. From that point on, he's come a long way and has even become the Best Boy of the Hexagon! :D

☆ Scaramouche's 'innocent in front of reader and the opposite behind their back' act is a tribute to his very first in-game appearance in the v1.1 Unreconciled Stars event!

This is something I'm humbly proud of, so to say. I still occasionally go back and admire the writing from that event. I think it's absolutely criminal for such a lore-rich and well-done in terms of character introduction event to be limited but oh well. Scaramouche, in my opinion, can be an excellent actor when he needs to be and if you watch the story from this event, you'll understand. Combining this with his mental state from after the Interlude Quest creates quite a messy situation though and, I kept it that way intentionally :>

☆ In the initial draft, Alhaitham was written as a very jealous character!

The cause of it being reader's infinite care for Kaveh. But obviously, I scraped it and wrote a much more toned down version and I sometimes wonder if I should've gone with my initial thoughts. Admittedly, I was playing it safe due to some reality checks regarding his character so I don't regret it a whole lot. But if it was up to the present me, I would be down to writing jealous Alhaitham immediately lol

Does the Reader have White Knight Syndrome?

Well, I didn't originally write them with this particular condition in mind, however, upon further reflection I can see that they definitely show some symptoms of it. And considering the situation they're in, it's very easy for them to fall into the condition itself. I'm not at all qualified to diagnose someone with a mental condition so, my answer will have to a soft no. However, if anyone wants to imagine them as such, they're of course free to do so.

Is there any character you'd want to write differently if given the chance?

I already mentioned Alhaitham to a degree but, I really really wish I had been more considerate of Cyno. We're entering debatable territory here but the Hoyo writers putting so much emphasis on Cyno's TCG addiction and jokes while handling his actual lore whimsically made me lose interest in his character at that time. Though, I hope his upcoming Story Quest will fix this and do his character justice <3

Who is your favorite among the boys?

If you've lingered around my blog for a while, I know you thought I was going to say Alhaitham but, within the confines of the AU, it's actually Kaveh! He's like the initial spark that kindled the actual fire, as such, he's the first one you read about. I felt immense empathy for him after I learned about his lore through leaks, which is reflected onto the reader as well. Had this been a different timeline, Kaveh and Reader's relationship would be pure wholesomeness.

Who among the five is the endgame?

Ohohohoho.. place your bets because it can be literally anyone :) Even someone outside the hexagon in the off-chance they end up slaughtering each other lol. Kind of out of topic but, I think the Wanderer route would be genuinely heartbreaking unless he does something about Reader's mortality. He'd have to watch the one person who truly loved him decay slowly, while he remains afloat his raft of artificiality, safe from the clutches of death temporarily. Thinking about the endings make me feel quite sad honestly, it's a reminder that even the lighthearted shenanigans of the Hexagon will end at some point.

-; ੈ♡˳ ENDING NOTES

I could've easily done a writing event to celebrate the anniversary but I just really, really wanted to talk about these little tidbits. Many many kudos to you if you've made it this far, I hope I didn't bore you :')

Memories are fragile things, so I'd like to think of this as a memorial of sorts that I can look back to after a few years and not think of myself as a total failure lol. I wrote this AU at a rather difficult period of my life, which is why this is more lighthearted despite falling into the Yandere genre.

I don't really know how to express my gratitude without sounding overly sappy, but I'll forever remember every interaction, comment, ask etc regarding the Hexagon fondly. I even remember someone saying they're binge reading this late at night instead of studying for an exam or something which is.. wow, I hope you're doing well nowadays my fellow night owl! I appreciate every each one of you for even taking some of your time to read my silly ramblings <3

This is not at all the end of the Hexagon AU, just to clarify! I'll still answer any asks regarding the five losers (affectionate) because, despite the limitations placed by reality, in fiction, we have the power to imagine and write infinite tavern shenanigans.

Just before I posted the original concept, I thought to myself, 'If even one person smiles because of this, I'll consider it a success.' and now, looking back to the amount of people that enjoyed the Sumeru Love Hexagon (very silly name but I digress) I just feel so, so happy.

Era's Paladin Lore Overhaul - Part 1

You gaze up at the sea of stars, each one a twinkle flickering in and out of existence. Your breath staggers and catches as a thought crosses your mind.

You've done it. You've saved the Star. After everything, after all you've been through. You have done it.

Though your life extinguished, though your end certain, you found purpose. You found fulfillment. Through the tears, the pain, the despair, you found your purpose. You found love, happiness, a journey that you cannot describe and a cause worth fighting for.

And you found your voice.

You have earned your rest Paladin of Hydaelyn, Champion of the Star.

Rest now Paladin, for when you wake a new journey awaits you for this is journey's end is but one step into tomorrow.

The Paladin, born in Ishgard and practiced throughout the Star. Bound to the path of righteousness, justice and Light. Paladin's are bound to an Oath that gives them their powers and strength. But what powers their Oaths is their commitment to their Patron and their cause. For without one or the other, they are nothing and must draw on other sources for their power (see Oaths *To be uploaded*).

The Calamity that revenged the lands at the end of the Sixth Astral Era, caused a steep decline in Paladin's for the years that followed in the Seventh Umbral Era. Oaths broken, faiths destroyed, naught remained of their will. And those who managed to survive Carteneau, with some form of their will and Oath in tact, hung up their blades as protectors of the Star and entered the Sultansworn as guardians of the Sultana. Their powers weakened as their Patrons had turned their backs on them for a second time.

Five years after the fall of Dalamud, once mighty Paladin's had been reduced to wandering the walls of Ul'Dah. Though, scholars would argue to not call them Paladin's and instead would instead let them be known as Gladiators. A few have tried to keep the teachings and art of Paladin's alive, yet their numbers continue to dwindle.

To be a Paladin, a true Paladin, one must take a journey to prove themselves to their Patron, where said Patron will test them, though the types of tests vary depending on the Patron (see Oaths *To be uploaded). To prove the strength of their resolve, their spirit. Once they complete the trial and only once they complete it can they take their Oath and receive their power.

Paladin's are masters of the sword, shield and magic. Their armour varies but most opt for plate armour or light armour for easier movement. Their magic mimics that of White Mage magic with lesser healing and Holy magic that draws from their Patron.

Paladin's walk the path of Light and those who forsake the Light are cast aside and left to the mercy of the beautiful Abyss. They either become Oathbreakers, souls who draw on the powers of Darkness, also known as Dark Knights (see Soul Crystals *To be uploaded*) or they take on an entirely different class.

Some types of Paladin are more common then others. Such as:

Paladin's of Nophica

Paladin's of Nald'Thal

Each Paladin's Oath varies depending on their Patron and each Paladin's power is dependent on who their Patron is. (see Oaths *To be uploaded).

The Paladin has always been a shining star of hope among a sea of darkness and despair. And should the Star be in need of a hero a Paladin will rise up and help usher in a new era.

Kin snickered, “You three, boring? No, I rather think not, especially for those who are watching!”

Luna chortled and quietly put away her magic net mirror. “You will never guess what just happened on Ponyville Mainline siding number one! By the way, Celestia, you needn't worry about the casualty train from the Gryphon Empire. They had to pause for a few because some Royal Marines were busy removing passengers from the Charter Train on the siding! We have snared the entire Ducal Council! I really do expect to find that there are one or two who are actually not guilty, maybe more.”

Twilight spoke up wistfully, “I hope that Carton, Duke of the Camarg is not one of the cabal. I really like him and besides, I don't think that any of us would want to upset his mother, the Rom, Dame Megan Blackberry IV, Knight of Justice and heroine of the Great South Bay invasion!”

Celestia joined them and agreed, “I would hope so too, Twilight. That said, Vinyl has chosen our music and Foamy and Clarice have been putting the finishing touches to our routine. Shall we put aside other worries for now and go see what our dance is going to be like?”

Luna brightened up at once! “That sounds like so much more fun than politics!”

They found the Gryphon Ambassador coming with them. “When the Throne of Empire heard of this amazing show, all three have requested permission to fly in with their Guard to watch the show! What shall I reply?”

Luna nearly stumbled, she was laughing so hard! “Of course! That will make a perfect finale when Pinkie decides to call a halt! We can present them with the results of our fund raising!”

Pinkie overheard and put a hand to her forelock! “Oh my, the Twins and little fishies! We need another set, A.S.A.P!”

They saw her digging like a mad terrier at image after image on her Magic Net mirror! Then she was calling, “Smithsons! Pinkie here. No, no problems with your sets! They are working perfectly. It is just that we need another, like yesterday! I am sending you pictures.

“Right! It is a reproduction of the Gryphon Throne of Empire!

“Why? They are coming, the Empress and BOTH of her Strong Wings of the Throne! They will have a Court Guard of eighteen. The set up that I sent you will be perfect if you can do it!

“You will! Cool! I will have the stage door guards notified!”

Pinkie put away her mirror and told them, “Smithson's will have the set ready by tomorrow! Were you TRYING to give me a heart attack!? You almost did!”

Celestia replied gently, “No, Pinkie, we were not! But it was amazing to watch you in action! The Throne of Empire surprised us as well.

“Now, we need to see our whole routine and listen to its music as well.”

Pinkie nodded, “Sounds good, my mares. With your permission, we have one more thing to add. A Glamor spell backdrop beginning with dawn, working through a nice day with puffy clouds, to evening with a neat sunset going to nightfall, with a rising crescent moon going to full and waning as it sets. It will be coordinated with your dance routines, if that's OK.”

Luna nodded, “That sounds perfect, Pinkie. Will it be done by Grumpy or do you want me to cast it?”

They were joined by a piebald black, tan, and brown goat with full curl horns that had an ever burning candle between them. With a slightly bleaty voice, he answered, “That's my department. Pinkie has engaged me for the duration of the show.”

Pinkie wrinkled her snout and grinned as she commented, “He charged me a whole silver bit for it and then donated the bit to our fund!”

The goat nodded, “True. Pinkie, I need to correct your earlier speech. As the chairman of the board for Ponyville Trust and Loan, I did arrange for their matching grant. The other large donation, also a matching grant, is a Wholeheart Grant. I did have to prepare its paperwork.”

Pinkie put hand to snout in contrition as she asked, “Oh dear, it is? How is Mister Wholeheart these days? Have you ever found a way to help him sleep without those awful dreams? At least half of the mares here have had a Wholeheart grant to help them out of tight spots.”

Grumpy shook his head, “No, we have not had any luck at helping him. A day or two at the best. The Litch King says that he will have the dreams for the rest of his life and that it will be a long one. I do know about those grants. He does try to return as much good as the harm that he got.”

Celestia shook her head, “I wish that more ponies reacted to evil happenings in their lives the way that Mister Wholeheart has. It must be difficult for him.”

The goat nodded, “It is indeed. Now, was the Glamor described how you want it or do you want any adjustments?”

Pinkie suggested, “We do have a practice stage that we can use for the first run through. Foamy and Clarice will guide you and we can perfect the lighting too.”

Following Pinkie's lead, the three of them found themselves behind a curtain. Foamy and Clarice went over their dance score with them first and then went to the other side of the curtain.

The music began and the three Princesses slipped through the curtain to the stage proper. The music, Damare's classical and romantic Day of Love and Love of Night, swelled as the three came into view, already beginning the dance. The stage where they were perfoming was dimly lit as they emerged. The morning began to light up the curtain behind them and a spotlight shown down on Celestia as she began to gyrate and undulate to the music that lifted and the spotlight brightened, making Princess Celestia nearly glow! She carried out the first parts of her strip, opening the buttons that let her generous cleavage show, while at the same time, her wings lifted up from her sides, beginning to frame her as she finished freeing her blouse, exposing a lacy blue bra!

Her dance took on a wilder more hip swaying set of steps and her wings, now fully open swept about her in arches and crescents to frame and display her body to the audience! Her hands, almost invisible in the midst of the swirling wings and swaying body, released her skirt to slide down her very active legs, artfully delayed at first, her lifted tail and then hung up on an artfully raised leg! It finally fell away entirely, leaving her a glowing vision of lightly glowing fur and undergarments!

She posed for a second, framed by glorious wings spread in circle of lustrous feathers! She brought her wings in closer as she spun about! They partly hid it as she released her bra, coming about to face the audience, she bared her right breast and then covering it back up, bared her left one and recovered it. The tease over, she slid the shoulder straps down to her elbows! With only a slight move, the whole of her brassiere fell away, down her arms where her right hand caught it and whirled it in a flourish before letting it fly.

She swept about the stage, doing slow turns that alternately hid and showed her magnificent bosom! She ended up stage center, once again framed by her spread wings.

She continued to dance topless for a few more minutes while the spotlight softened and the day went toward evening, her wings folding in to leave her a topless vision of marehood as she stepped back, staying gloriously bared of breasts.

Princess Twilight took over the stage as the day paled. Her blouse already framed her from shoulders to under her boobs and snug to her waist with a pretty, contrasting white underblouse showing off her tits.

She danced and did a cleavage reveal by releasing buttons down the underblouse's front! Coyly pulling her wings free and wrapping herself in them, she spread them wide along with the now fully opened underblouse which was now seen to be only a dicky and it fully spread to show her bright red, low cut bra! She happily posed to show off her pretty bra and the mare inside it! She began some hip lifting and swaying steps while her wings pulled close and spread again, revealing that her whole blouse was unfastened down both sides! Her arms slid under the blouse front and lifted high, flipping the whole garment up, past her horn, to fall away, dicky and all! She danced with twisting poses to show off the red bra on smooth and shiny lavender fur!

Her wings pulled in close once more and with a swirl, spread wide, leaving Twilight bare from the waist down, but for skimpy panties! Her wraparound skirt waved like a flag from right hand to left!

She danced and flaunted herself, framing her body with her wings, then swirling about, pulling them close again! When they spread wide, her bra was in her hand and her full breasts had no place left to hide. Her bra was flourished about from hand to hand in loops and figure eights before being let go! She posed, wings wide spread to both sides and up, displaying her beautifully framed body!

She danced a few more minutes, pulling her wings closer but hiding nothing and made way for Princess Luna to take the stage!

Like the others, Luna took the stage, wings folded, hidden away. Unlike the rest, when she unbuttoned her front to the waist, there was no blouse but full length dress, now spread wide to show off a nearly sheer light blue bra! The cunning spotlight operator set his light with a filter that made her dark blue fur and feathers glow against the night scene behind her!

Her right wing cleverly held in an almost narrow arch, matched the arc of the rising moon behind her, she pulled her left wing close about her and as she spread them both to the now fuller moon behind her, her dress had fallen from her shoulders and was held up only by her wings!

She began a swirling twirl, her wings hiding her from the audience and ending with both arms up and wings spread wide! Her dress was still about her hips, held from falling only by her upraised tail!

In that moment, her tail dropped and so did the whole dress! Princess Luna stood seductively displayed by the cunning lights and her spread wings cupped to catch the lights and show off her body, clad only in panties and bra! She swept into motion again, a vision of highlights and glowing dark fur.

Soon she entered a familiar close winged swirl and when she spread her wings, yes, both of her tits were bare, framed and displayed by the bra that no longer covered them at all! It made a better show than if it were gone entirely!

The spotlight brightened strongly to show her to the best advantage, as she undulated and wriggled seductively! She did another slow turn, the wing facing the audience covering her. When the turn was done, her bra was off and she finished with a wide spread wing pose to let herself show to best advantage!

She danced back to join the rest of the Princesses, all now topless! Joining arms and lifting wings, they made a kick line first and then danced back through the curtains!

A stage hand gathered the scattered garments and took them backstage.

A few moments later, they came out, fully dressed to ask with a grin, “Well, how did it come off?”

It’s true that a lot of times, we may see people who did us dirty have seemingly better lives than us on social media or just seem to be happy with their lives overall when you feel like you’re rotting. The more you let toxic energies stay in your head rent-free, the more energy you are spending on people that wronged you. You won’t get anywhere worrying whether or not the villains in your story will get payback. They will, pile one. Trust the universe and spend some time with the people who really matter. The Judgment card doubles this confirmation, because it reminds me of “Judgment Day,” so you’re really going through an awakening. The Judgment card is powerful, because this is a life-changing stage of your development as a human being. But, first things first, you need to forgive yourself for your past with the people that aren’t in your life anymore before you can harness the Sun energy in your life. And with the Thorns card, the message is to “weave together the crown that you deserve,” AKA celebrate yourself! Even if it means giving yourself a pat on the back or buying yourself a cake, (on a day that’s NOT your birthday!) please do that. And when you’re done celebrating yourself, don’t forget to celebrate the people in your life who have helped you along the way and see big things on the way for you. After all, real queens fix each other’s crowns.

With the Mural card, you are advised to put yourself first no matter what you are currently dealing with. In order to help others, you must help yourself, because how will you be able to have an equal energy exchange with someone if you aren’t putting energy into yourself first? You’ll be completely depleted in that scenario. If you feel overwhelmed, delegate tasks to other people. It reminds me of the 10 of wands card in tarot, because you may be taking on more responsibility than you can handle. There’s nothing wrong with admitting that you need a break- you’re not a machine! Develop the confidence needed to know when to step back. It takes time and practice and is not a skill you develop overnight. Confidence doesn’t always have to be the loudest or most outspoken person in the room. It can also manifest itself in the person who is quietly sure of themselves. With the 6 of swords, I see you are moving on to smoother terrain in the landscape of your life. My first introduction to Jason Todd was the Arkham Knight game. From there I became a huge fan of him.

What was your first introduction to him?

So, here's the thing, I came into the Batman fandom completely blind (for the sake of the joke, you can say "blind as a bat") like five or six years ago when the Assassin's Creed fandom kinda went numb, stale and filled with small wars and people going all the way to some very heavy language that I prefer to don't get in details.

It was around that time that an old RP partner came back to their activity and they asked me if I was open to RP with their version of Dick Grayson, whose whole story at the time was based around the lore of Owlman, he was called Nightraven instead of Nightwing. It was, according to my friend, a version of DIck that they created way before the comics came out with the whole Crime Syndicate deeper lore, and I simply rolled with it.

We had interesting threads, but they went dark again after like three or four months and I didn't know what to do, because I things were just really bad in both fandoms with people not being all too open to give chances to original characters, or cross-overs, so I vagued around for a while until I landed having RP interactions with a Tim ( @strategiic ) and they started to guide me on how to find myself along the multiverse created by the comics; they'd talk to me about the comics and what happened on them, what was considered canon and what they liked and disliked and I began to absorb it all while going after more information on my own (blessed be every single person who makes compilations of what to read for what character and place it all in a neat and easy to understand guide).

A while later I also began to have RP interactions with a Jason Todd muse ( @rxsurrxcted ) whose mun was a sweetheart and taught me as much as she could about Jason so I wasn't all lost when we wrote our threads, she let me come to her to ask even the silliest questions at two in the morning. To this very day, my main-blog and muse has a verse where he has a relationship with that Jason and they're living happily in a polyamorous relationship with the cutest, softest and most generous paramedic ever ( @goodheartedfool ) while Tim ( @nerdybirdboy ) and my other OC in my main-blog date.

It's been a wild ride for me, because there are many versions of Jason, all fundamentally the same, but each with its own flavor and twist to it, but most of all he's just a character I can understand, his anger, his suffering, his need to prove himself, the feeling of always being judged by others regardless of how much he changes and grows as a person. He's, perhaps, one of the most relatable characters I've ever seen, hopeful, but down-to-earth at the same time, doesn't take shit unless it's really necessary, he sees the hypocrisy and points it out while still being self-aware enough that he, himself, has his own amount of it, he's been through a whole lot, and yet he's there, day and night fighting to get better and make the world around him better. Jason is a man of love and passion, which can backfire as rage and anger when things get heated, since the lines are thin and blurry when it comes to him, but even at his worst, he was still doing his best with what he had and thought to be good (yes, I'm looking at the pill-head version of Red Hood who tried to help Duella Dent as much as he could and tried to give her a better path than the one she was taking for herself).

In short, I love him, because I see him for who he is. Jason isn't a symbol of Justice or Hope like Bruce and Dick made themselves be. He isn't a genious kid who has potential to surpass Batman like Tim. He has none of the baggage and early training that Damian had. He also doesn't have a high profile set parent like Steph to use as a counterpoint to his morals and beliefs. All Jason Todd ever had was a desire for love, family and a will that's a force of nature in itself, powerful enough to get him through everything life throws his way; Jason was dragged into the war Batman wages against criminals out of love for him and passion for change, he wanted to make a difference, to make things better and fairer, and these wishes remained despite everything that happened to him and all the methods he implemented to get the results he wanted.

I love him because he's, simply putting, HUMAN BEYOND THE PAGES HE'S WRITTEN IN.

Hi Em! I’m the anon who asked about Locke regarding his decision about Jude as well as the one who asked if I can tell you my thoughts on TFoTA as I read the series. For now just call me Justice to make things easier. So I read the 1st book in May 2020 and I started my reread of the book. I’m now on the part where Jude made the deal with Prince Dain. I find it interesting that Madoc doesn’t want Jude to try for knighthood. He claims she has the skill and that experience is not what she lacks. It’s obvious that it goes back to her being mortal, but then why teach her how to use a sword if she can’t put her skills to use? I remember Madoc wanting to take the throne so I guess he thought that Jude and Taryn would be protected as an extension so there would be no need for Jude to become a knight? Maybe he doesn’t want Jude to get hurt because he’s come to see her as something close to a daughter. Or perhaps this is just a form of control. It makes me wonder if his answer would have still been the same if Vivi wanted to become a knight. I hope this gets explained more later.

I don’t like Valerian at all. It’s odd that he absolutely hates Jude for being mortal, but he was caught leering at Taryn and her body. For starters, that’s a disturbing situation to be in. But also, it’s just weird. I guess it’s ok to want humans in a sexual manner as long as they’re submissive, even though he outright insulted Jude and Taryn to Jude on numerous occasions.

I did find it slightly odd that a mortal was trying to flirt with Jude and her first instinct was to attack, but Locke comes out of nowhere and cleans her bruises after the tournament and she just lets him. I guess it makes sense since for the first time, a faerie is noticing her which means way more than a regular mortal? Maybe it does make sense because she’s suspicious and as a result, she’s too stunned to do anything. I would be suspicious too if I’m being honest.

I have mixed feelings about Prince Dain. He called Cardan spoiled and speaks of him in such a negative manner, but like he did Cardan dirty by getting him kicked out of the palace (I don’t remember if it was mentioned in TCP or if I came across a spoiler from another book). It’s incredibly hypocritical that he said Cardan shouldn’t pick on Jude or anyone else just for the sake of enjoyment, but that’s literally what he did to Cardan. Idk I need more info on him. I still remember some things about Dain, but I’ll touch more on them when I get to those parts.

I do have thoughts on Taryn, Vivi, Orianna, and Locke, but I’ll talk more about them later as well. This post is getting really long lol.

Madoc's not letting Jude become a knight is sort of explained later, though in a very indirect "read between the lines" sort of way that Holly is so good at writing. i'm wondering if you'll pick up on it.

as for Valerian, i'm not sure i remember the bit you're talking about (where he ogles Taryn). i'll have to go back and check. but as far as i'm aware, he's pretty much deemed the series' Local Deranged Man, so i think you'll find agreement across the board.

the reason Jude attacks the mortal who flirts with her is 1) to show how much she does not fit in in the mortal world, and 2) to show how vicious she's become. plus, if memory serves me, the mortal made some sort of rude comment/touched her (not sure which, will have to check) which made Jude lash out. it's understandable that she would, because the fae, while scary, are big on courtship. i wouldn't expect hitting on strangers to be much in their culture.

and finally, i believe you may have come across a spoiler from the prologue of QON. Cardan tells us Dain is not the upstanding prince the Court of Shadows believe him to be in TCP, but i believe the story of him getting kicked out of the palace isn't told until QON. imo it's understandable that Dain would basically call Cardan a prick, because he pretty much was one until he starts hanging out more with Jude. however, you're right in being wary of him. just because Dain says something about her enemy that Jude can identify, doesn't mean she should trust him.

1. When are you usually online?

. Usually at night and weekends, especially when I am working at the hospital and not at home. I work full-time and I also take classes on Monday evenings for this semester. Lately, my activity has been a bit rough. Hoping that will change, though. I try to be here when I can.

2. What verses are you involved in?

 Other than my main verse, I have a Yugioh verse, police verse, Free verse, FF7 verse, FF7 Turk verse, Angel/guardian verse, fantasy verse, Rock star verse,FF15 verse, and I’m working on a Vampire Knight verse, Sailor Moon verse, and started on the Berserk verse. I would like to work on an Elden Ring verse too, but that’s been in construction for some time.

3. What is your biggest RP pet peeve? 

 Generally, it’s godmodding, force-shipping, and not reading rules. I usually don’t participate in call-outs either. The only exception is if someone is in immediate danger in real life. I’m not a fan of excessive and very graphic smut either. Some intimacy is okay, but I draw the line with extreme levels of it.

I also don’t like replies that don’t offer much. I am not against short replies, but something like “she smiles and giggles,” doesn’t give me much to work with. I rarely write one-liners or I would try to encourage more input in some cases like add more details.  You don’t have to write four or five paragraphs. I just want something to work with.

4. Are you drawn to specific types of muses?

Harmony is attracted to other muses who are rough around the edges or are downright deadly. She's quiet, kind, and gentle, but also has the urge to help and love others. It’s in her nature to seek out people who may not have received love and kindness out of the belief that she can heal them. The thing is, that doesn’t always happen. Harmony wants to save other people when that can put her at risk of making the problem worse or putting herself in danger. Other than her chronic heroism, Harmony also falls for the unpredictable dynamics of a relationship with the other muse.

5. Are there reoccurring themes in your writing that people might not notice?

 I try to make the replies immersive and be in Harmony’s perspective. I want to work more on writing environments and I hope I’m getting better with it. However, I tend to focus on thoughts and emotions. I want people to see how she feels, what she thinks, and how it influences her actions. I don’t know how well I portray her in some situations like when she’s excited, upset, or scared. I need to practice more on things like that. 

6. What are your favourite RP trends?

 I love the banners people have on their blog’s and also banners for answered asks and things. I hope to get things like that some day. 

7. What is your process for starting a new story with someone?

I am pretty shy but would reblog different memes to encourage others to send something to start interactions. I also will reach out to people to plot things out or like permanant starter calls and plotting calls to show that I am interested. 

8. How do you feel about duplicates?

 I worked hard on Harmony and she’s an OC. I have allowed people to have her in their works like fanfics before, but it’s after they asked me. Other than that, I hope people don’t copy Harmony, which is different from being asked on whether she’s included as a character or npc in other works. 

9. How long have you been involved in roleplaying?

For many years. I did this since I was 13.

10. Is there a muse or verse you could write in, but haven’t?

muse  wise: I thought of writing as Casca from Berserk a few times, but I was never sure if I would do her justice. I worry about that a lot when I consider canon muses. 

verse  wise:   I’m working on a few verses, but the Berserk one is one I really thought about working on. It’s very bare bones right now though and trying to come up with how to make Harmony fit into it.

Lisa should have returned with her band mates after rehearsals. But instead she chose to stay back and practice more until she was out of breath and one thing led to another, and she landed herself on the ground with a twisted ankle. Luckily you were on your break returning from a café, and you just happened to pass by the Blackpink practice room when you heard a scream. You rushed into the room and saw Lisa from BLACKPINK howling in pain.

"Are you alright miss?" She looked at you and gave you a weak smile. You cursed yourself for your lack of sense, and got down on you knees inspecting her ankle. "I'm sorry for that earlier, but I believe we need to get you to the doctor as soon as possible." She nodded, trying to get up but wasn't able to put pressure on her leg and struggled to stand without being in pain. You felt really bad for the idol, so you did what you thought was right.

You crouched down before her, and asked her to hop on, she seemed hesitant at first, but the way you looked at her made her want to obey you somehow. So without further ado, you walked out of the room carrying Lisa. Thankfully you met her manager, who you knew as a senior because you were an intern, and explained the situation. Immediately y'all made your way to the back of the building after making sure everyone's face was well hidden. She had worn the hood over her cap, to make sure nobody recognizes her.

Once you were out, you lowly whispered. "Please hide your face, we don't want people to know it's you and have them follow us." She nodded and hid her face by your neck, you could feel her breath hit you neck, making goosebumps arise all over your body. She held on to you tightly as you made your way towards the company van. The manager opened the van door, and you carefully put Lisa down, making sure she was comfortable in the seat. By the time you were preparing to leave, Lisa tugged at your sleeves, making you look at her curiously and then the manager.

"Get in Miss L/N, might as well help us a little more. You got inside with Lisa, while the manager sat at the front instructing the driver to get to the hospital soon. The ride was silent, unless the manager asked you questions about how it was working in the company, to which you replied professionally. Lisa had been looking at you the whole time, and you could feel her stare, so you turned to the right to check and caught her staring. She quickly averted her gaze, trying to act cool as if she wasn't caught red-handed. You chuckled, causing her to smile.

You had somehow made it to the hospital without people knowing and you were relieved. The doctors quickly came to aid, arranging a private room for Lisa. You were standing with the manager, while he was talking to the doctor. Thankfully, it wasn't serious and it would get better if she takes rest and puts ice on them within 2-3hr intervals. The both of you made your way to Lisa's room, the manager informing her that she was free from activities for a while. He left shortly afterwards making a call and with that you were left with Lisa.

She motioned for you to come near and to take a seat, so you did. "How are you feeling?" You asked looking at her wrapped up ankle and then at her. "The pain's alright for now though it hurts if I move it, aside from that it's all good, thank you for carrying me and stuff--" She trails off, looking at you expectantly. You furrow your eyebrows thinking what she meant, then you realize she's asking for you name so you shyly flash her a smile which Lisa finds cute and coos. "Y/N L/N." She nods, saying your name a few times to check how it sounds on her lips, once she's satisfied, she holds out her hand for you. As you return the gesture her smile gets brighter. And you can't help but think how pretty she looks when she smiles, her doe brown eyes stand out making her look like a doll. If you were to be asked to describe Lisa, you would be at a loss of words. Words cannot do justice to her beauty. The more you stare at her the more heat rushes to your cheeks, you internally slap yourself for having these thoughts though you heart doesn't listen.

"Thank you for the help Miss L/N. I would be happy enough to have you in our team. You're really helpful. I must say I was impressed." The manager pats you in your back and you smile thanking him for the kind words, and do a mini dance when he's not looking but Lisa has been watching the whole interaction and chuckles making you hide your face and look everywhere but her and that makes her laugh again.

What a way to woo your crush.

You're again seated with Lisa at the back as you guys head to drop Lisa at the dorm. This time, Lisa makes small talks with you about her 5 cats. Leo, Luca, Louis, Lily and Lego and you can't stop smiling as she talks about her cats with so much love and adoration. "What about you Y/N, do you have pets?" You nod filling her in about your P/N and how he/she likes doing their favorite pass time. (P/N - PET NAME)

By the time you've finished telling her this one story, you've arrived at the dorm. You feel sad because you were genuinely having fun, though you don't let it show. You get out, waiting to take Lisa by the hand but she just pouts. "Carry me Y/N, my ankle hurts with all the walking I did from the hospital." The manager looks at you with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry to have you do this, but please help us Miss L/N." You see Lisa from the corner of your eye winking at you, and you swear you would have exposed her but then you don't want to be rude infront of your superior so you crouch down, while Lisa hops onto you with a smile. The manager opens the door for you, and waits outside. You walk in with Lisa in your back while she mumbles a genuine thank you and so you hum letting her know it's alright and you're not mad. As you enter the dorm, you spot the other members by the living room, sitting on the couch munching on food. Jennie is the first to spot you and Lisa, and she gets up walking to you, gathering the attention of the other two idols.

"Lisa! What happened? How can you be so careless?" Jennie turns into full mom mode when she notices Lisa's wrapped up ankle. And you try to suppress your laughter finding it cute. Lisa however notices you trying to laugh so she pinches your cheeks, making you whine. Jisoo swats away Lisa's hands from your cheeks, and offers you a smile while you mouth her a thanks. Rosé arranges the cushions for Lisa as you lie her down on the couch.

The girls thank you on behalf of Lisa while you bow and say it's alright. You get ready to leave, but Lisa calls you. "Y/N aren't you forgetting something?" You look back at her and snap your fingers realizing you should tell her the remedy. "Ah yeah, you have to put ice on your ankle within 2-3hr intervals so as to ensure that the swelling doesn't increase." Lisa shakes her head at your obliviousness and takes out her phone, flexing it in front of your face. "You forgot to give me your number. You promised to show me pictures of your P/N." You look at her incredulously while the other members just laugh and make their way to the kitchen to give you both some privacy. You contemplate whether it's professional of you to hand her your number, no it isn't. But the puppy eyes she shoots you makes it harder for you to decline and you hesitantly hand her your phone. She punches her number in, saving it with various emojis.

Finally, you get up to leave before she pulls you by your hand and kisses your cheeks leaving you flustered. "Uhm I-- You- I- must leave. M-My superior's wait-waiting bye!" You run off, almost stumbling into a wall.

You're falling for her and there's no denying.

The next day, dispatch and various news channels reveal photos of you carrying Lisa from the building to the van. Some fans share their worries about their favorite idol while some joke about the picture being from a movie scene. I'd be happy to! More Than Meets the Eye is a comic published by IDW and written by James Roberts. It's kinda a "about the journey not the destination"/found family story, but with a LOT of gay. Seriously, the IDW introduced a whole colony of female Cybetronians and STILL made everyone gay lmao.

After the Autobot/Decepticon war ends and Cybetron is restored Rodimus decides to go look for the "Knights of Cybertron" and a bunch of Cybertronians with nothing better to do join him, and it's a series of adventures that lead to...honest to god some of the best character growth I've seen in like, any fiction, ever. Also Megatron is redeemed which sounds weird bc he was a genocidal tyrant but the story does do it justice (especially since he's never forgiven or defended.)

It's really hard to make it sound appealing without spoilers so I'm just gonna quote my favorite line that summarizes the soul of the story perfectly:

"[...] Okay, so you've made some bad decisions. You've hurt people. You've hurt yourself. You've stumbled through life from one self-inflicted disaster to the next without anything even approaching a plan. To which I say - welcome aboard. Maybe you're not good...but you sure as hell are good enough."

Keep in mind this era of IDW had multiple comics/stories taking place at the same time, so you have to read bits of other comics to get the whole story:

Okay, back in May @isolatedphenomenon asked me if I had an les mis fic recs and I went "oh boy do I !" and then promptly fucked off and disappeared from tumblr for like 6 months...

Anyway on the off chance people are interested, here is my vastly too long list of  my favourite les mis fanfic (that I'm almost 100% sure I'll have accidentally missed some of my favourites off of...)

The vast majority of these are main pairing Enjolras/Grantaire, so I've put those first, divided into multi-chaptered and then one-shots. Below that will be other pairings!

Multi-chaptered

• Witch Boy Series : magic AU, starting with Grantaire solving Enjolras' curse - this is just Incredible world building which gets better as it goes on - my favourite is the Babet interlude

• World Ain't Ready : you know how fandoms tend to have a fic that is just associated with it ? in my experience, for les mis this is it - and well deserved ! High school, fake dating AU with some of the most engaging writing

• BE : Enjolras is dragged back into theatre production, helping Eponine put on a production of Hamlet - really love the characterisation in this, and this is really one of those modern AUs that actually feels like real life - really good writing

• After the End : the definitive apocalypse AU in my eyes - les amis are an underground resistance to the dystopian government - really wonderful characterisation of Grantaire and the amis

• You never have to wonder; you never have to ask. : I tend to find fic by scrolling through bookmarks of a pairing, which means I often see repeats; this is a fic that if I see I just re-read cause I know I'll enjoy it - the amis sparked a failed rebellion, and now 18 months later Grantaire ends up staying at Enjolras' after returning to Paris for Marius and Cosette's wedding

• Your Heart on Your Skin : Soulmate AU with flower tattoos marking important emotions and events - wonderful concept and world building 

• Impatient to Be Free : Daughters of Bilitis AU - if that doesn't make you excited I don't know what else to say to convince you (aside from saying the author is a simply wonderful writer)

• You Dance Dreams : Okay. Not to be over dramatic, but this fic did genuinely qualitatively change my life, in that it was the first thing that got me looking up contemporary ballet and now that's like one of my favourite things and big hobby So. Also its really great writing; music/creative arts school les amis with Grantaire choreohraphing the ballet for Combeferre's opera, with a heavy emphasis on Grantaire realising he really never actually got over Enjolras

• philia : this one is an absolute classic to me, but not given nearly enough recognition - one of the more realistic college AUs ever written, and the writing of Grantaire is so good because it hits the perfect balance of sympathy and annoyance about his behaviour (that's a genuine compliment) 

• Coffee Hooligans : fucking tragedy this never got properly finished, Enjolras leads the amis as social justice vigilantes and tries to hide the criminal bits of his life from R

• Fighting the Hurricane : Pacific Rim AU that's less an AU and more just placing the les mis characters in the Pacific Rim universe. Really good and riveting read, also super interesting depiction of Grantaire

• Weaving Olden Dances : Fairy AU - Grantaire "claims" Enjolras to prevent his execution - really good writing, love Grantaires characterisation 

• Paris Burning : canon era (sort of) where cities have a physical being - Grantaire is Paris and becomes entangled in Enjolras' revolution - oh the world building is truly *chefs kiss*

• Euphoria is You For Me : Enjolras and Grantaire keep meet cuting in a wonderfully written Brooklyn - feels like a love letter to Brooklyn at times, and I really like the characterisation of Grantaire 

• so please just fall in love with me this christmas : Enjolras works for the environmental company Grantaire volunteers at, and keeps getting secret gifts at Christmas - I sound a little like a broken record but the Grantaire characterisation is very good

• You Are the Moon : Wild West esque Space AU - Grantaire has to call on the amis to help rescue Valjean and Cosette, despite Grantaire leaving the amis 6 months before. On re-reading the Enjolras characterisation feels a little rushed, but overall fantastic story telling and the Grantaire arc is a Delight 

• Pandemos : Enjolras is aphrodite, and seeks peace from all his suitors in R/Hephestus' cave

• Pining for You : Hallmark christmas romance - Grantaire returns home to work on his father's tree farm, and Enjolras is the lawyer helping prevent the farm being sold - cute as shit imo

• Once We're Kings : Fantasy AU - a country hosts a ball to marry Prince Enjolras and the rival country sends Grantaire as a fuck you - one of the best ways of doing Enjolras as a prince in a fantasy and just really nicely written

• Never Bitter and All Delicious : Fairy Godmother AU - yes really, yes its genuinely a very good read

• On One Condition : Fantasy AU - Enjolras is a bored knight who finally goes to check out the local dragon, which turns out to be Grantaire - I really like how they capture Enjolras' stubborn nature and it's such a well written soft growth of love between them

• That's How Easy Love Can Be : Les Amis work at a primary school; and its secret santa time! very fun portrayal of Enjolras

• The Lark and Her Lieutenants : re write of canon where Cosette is the leader of the revolution - just *chefs kiss*

• If You Tickle Us, Do We Not Laugh : Grantaire is Enjolras' secret android - really good at writing a relationship that's incredibly loving but just keeps being antagonistic and coming off wrong 

One Shots

• True Colours : AU where you leave colours on the people important to you - Enjolras and Grantaire falling for each other is so soft and gently written its lovely, this is genuinely one of my favourites

• Keep It Kind, Keep It Good, Keep It Right : this one is so good to me, because it builds off my pet hatred of everyone assuming Enjolras doesn't care about (or at least actively show he cares about) his friends

• blooming : very soft post-dystopian utopia that has just a really wonderful sense of hope and light to me

• and the wall leaned away (or: The Pros and Cons of Tilling) : perfectly realised characterizations of the amis, Grantaire needs a date to her final year art exhibition - deals with anxiety over protest in a way that actually hits for me

• not just one of the crowd : R helps run a leftist bakery and bike repair shop - very cute characterisation, and I think more les mis fanfic should link to anarchist essays

• Lovesickness : Enjolras is an idiot and thinks he's sick rather than having a crush - the writing of Joly and Combeferre in this is some of my favourite depictions of these two

• If there's a rocket, tie me to it : absolutely heartbreaking sci-fi AU about the amis as doomed mecha pilots

• Where I Fall is Where I Land : Enjolras is a Roman commander as Rome's power is leaving England, and then meets the pict Grantaire (+ fun soulmark stuff !)

• You Started Foreign to Me : Enjolras moves to america and R is the overnight grocery clerk who helps her learn Spanish - cute fluffy lesbians with a wonderfully written driven Enjolras

• Love Is Touching Souls : very cute soulmate AU - and one I really love for really truly considering the implications of soul marks and creating historical lore around it

• Ten Years : R is a musician, and it non-linearly charts his relationship to Enj from high school to 10 years later

• put up with me then I'll make you see : Grantaire lives above Enjolras, and its christmas - I find it to have a very fun interpretation of pining Enjolras

• A Cat Called Trash Can : this was one of the first les mis fics I ever read (yes I know it says it was published in 2020, but I think it has to be a re-upload or something?) and it does still have a special place in my heart - Grantaire rescues a cat, but Enjolras is the only one with an apartment free to look after it 

• Still I'm Begging to Be Free : inception AU where les amis have to rescue a sleeping R from his own brain

•I'm in it for You : cw: illness, cancer - R has cancer and is being a martyr about telling his friends so Enjolras drives him back from chemo

• walls come tumbling down : sky high au - a very good high school AU with the perfect level of campy superhero powers

• This brave new world's not like yesterday : Enjolras needs a job, so ends up working in a bowling alley with Grantaire and bonding

Enjolras/Grantaire/Combeferre

• In Defiance of All Geometry : les amis are a student co-op house, Enjolras and Combeferre are pining friends and Grantaire is the newbie

• Still the Same : this is very good writing and very compelling - if you can get over the (imo) plot hole of Enjolras working for the FBI. R was an art thief Enj put away and is briefly helping the FBI out, and Combeferre is Enjolras' husband

• To Kingdom Come : cw: war and PTSD from that, Enjolras and Combeferre are part of a group of refugees that have crossed into a more fantasy land, and Grantaire is a lone traveller from that land that attempts to help - that was a shit summary of this very emotional, wonderfully written fic about war and love in all forms

• Gonna need (a spark to ignite) : I always love a twist on a classic trope, and this is a very fun take on the soulmate AU - Enjolras loses feeling in his soul mark as a child, falls in love with Grantaire and then his soulmate, Combeferre, turns up

Eponine/Cosette

• Pretty Girls Don't Know the Things That I Know : simply stunning writing - perfect example of soft writing about a harsh world

• she knows her way around : Eponine and Cosette bond, ostensibly so Eponine can find out about her for Marius, and their interactions are so playful and realistic, its wonderful

• always find me floating on oceans : Cosette stows away on Eponine's pirate ship - I do always have a soft spot for eposette fics (not just cause I ship it) because they truly characterise Cosette in a really considered and interesting way

• There's No Making Love : I'm putting this under eposette even though there is some significant enjolras/grantaire content, because the Cosette characterisation is so fun and cute

• round and round again : this fic really beautifully translates Cosette's bad childhood and then isolated teenage years, and the impact that would have on her as an adult into a modern AU

• Underwater Thunderheards : this is based off the book The Scorpio Races, and is just a really nice short fic  about longing

• How To Change The World Without Taking Power : Marius has a crush on Cosette and she's tried being polite and subtle in turning him down, so just ends up fake dating Eponine instead

• blood red fruit and poison's kiss : Snow White AU - Cosette as Snow White

• The Winters Cannot Fade Her : Snow White Au 2.0 - Eponine as Snow White - this was written as a pair to the one above which is just so cute to me

• marriage à la mode : Cosette and Eponine run a bridal shop together and it's very cute !

• Temporary Hold : I personally find this a really fun and very unique take on Cosette - with exams coming up she decides she needs to get laid on the reg and so hits up Eponine to act as if they're already long term girlfriends

Combeferre/Courfeyrac

• better than you had it : fake dating but kick it up an emotional notch - Courf and Ferre pretend to still be together after breaking up for a family event

• take flight, come near : nice and cute low fantasy, where Combeferre runs a dragon sanctuary and Courf finds an injured dragon

• The Future's Owned by You and Me : cute Enjolras/Feuilly with actual radical politics and real life organising difficulties and wins

• First Dates and Other Dangers : Combeferre and Grantaire agree to go on a blind date and it's awkward until it isn't - just cute !

Enjolras x Grantaire a.k.a. Enjoltaire a.k.a. ExR- Les Mis

How I fell into this I don't remember now. I vaguely remember reading a crackfic of this and then everything just went sideways.

This was also the fandom that helped me realize that I wasn't exactly straight and that it's okay to not be loud about my sexuality, that I can just be.

I think that explains my attachment to this ship, not to mention just the movie's Grantaire (played by George Blagden) also shipped the characters and played his character like how he thought it should be, Grantaire loving and pining after Enjolras without the revolutionary knowing it.

Except in the fan fics, Enjolras returns his feelings and they work it out, even though it's not easy because they're both stubborn as mules. Ah, ultimate fantasy I guess. And the number of great fics here, *whistle*

Also, the Les Amis? Is amazing? Especially in the modern AUs? Like they're great friends? I love this fandom so much! Permets-tu!

Shen Wei x Zhao Yunlan - Guardian / Zhen Hun

C'mon, Zhu Yilong & Bai Yu's performance and emotions? Plus just the fact the fanfic writers of this ship are absolutely amazing? Please, escape from this pairing is impossible!

Best opposites attract trope for me. An academic by day, superhero by night in love with a roguish police chief who has no powers but whose charisma, wit, and heart can get him to toe to toe with the legends.

Also, Professor Shen Wei constantly acting like an innocent civilian and lying badly? Gold!

Loki x Tony Stark a.k.a. FrostIron - Avengers

How did I honestly get to this ship? I really can't remember what started it all. I think it must have been a Loki redemption fic where Tony Stark and Pepper broke up and something something happened. Let me tell you, the writers of this ship have written sagas and ballads of epic and sometimes confusing proportions, and that is why I fell deeper into the pit. I mean, they gotta give justice to two brilliant but chaotic characters, right? Angst. This ship has sooooooooo much angst.

Eiji x Ash - Banana Fish

My god, if you want to keep your heart intact and not be reminded of all that's ugly in the world, DON'T WATCH OR READ BANANA FISH. YOUR HEART WILL NEVER HEAL!

If you're gonna watch/read it anyway, make sure to watch something fluffy and sweet after. There's a reason that people from this fandom go, "If you've seen Banana Fish's ending, then you can handle whatever angsty show you're watching now." ~ or something to that effect. Another thing we like to say in this fandom is, "Other fandoms: Let's write a Mafia AU! Banana Fish fandom: We are the Mafia AU." Yes, all of us in this fandom is dramatic af.

Yuuri x Viktor - Yuuri!!! on Ice

Uh, does this really need an explanation? Aside from the fact that you will surprisingly find a lot of Mafia AUs here because we all know that hiding behind that beautiful face of Viktor Nikiforov is a devil capable of... tearing down your self-confidence, like WTF Viktor, don't make Yuuri cry! Also, their dance together at the end, such beautiful love.

Magnus Bane x Alec Lightwood aka Malec - Shadowhunters

I never read the books and have no plans to in the near future. I just saw a video on Youtube about why Malec is life and now here I am, still reading some Malec fics from time to time.

Some stuff on the show were WTF but overall they were a really good couple who supported each other. Plus, they're a Power Couple.

Erwin x Levi aka Eruri - Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin

Not to be confused with Ereri, which is Eren x Levi, which I don't generally ship except for that one time when a writer wrote an epic fanfic series with Eren in his mid 20s and Levi in his late 20s/early 30s, reincarnation AU. Boy was that one a surprise. I did not expect that.

Anyway, I'm an Eruri fan through and through. Especially with that promise that Levi made to Erwin. And the reason he gave the serum to Armin. HE DIDN'T DO IT FOR THE KIDS YKNOW. HE DID IT FOR ERWIN. Plus, Levi, Erwin, and Hange are my special trio. Erwin's batch was really amazing.

Also, I really like the fact that the shorter and slighter person is the more badass fighter while the taller, bigger one is the more calculating and strategic one. Rocks the boat of stereotypes and all that. Bonus: how these two met. My god, what a meet-cute! 😂

Dani x Jamie aka The Au Pair and the Gardener - The Haunting of Bly Manor

It really is more of a love story than a ghost story. I dunno how to feel about this. I loved these two characters so much and I wished they had a better ending but I wasn't SO surprised because it was a horror series (Like, I was still hoping at the end that they'd be together forever but yknow...). In any case, Jamie was just awesome. And her nickname for Dani? Poppins?! God, what a lover and fighter. She was not afraid to cock a gun in a ghost's face.

Merlin x Arthur aka Merthur - BBC Merlin

Yeah, my brain is so chaotic multiple OTPs and BROTPs of the same pairing exist at the same time without clashing with one another or having major identity crises.

I actually really like BROTP Merlin and Arthur and also like reading OTP Merthur.

And when Merlin is paired with Morgana or Freya or sometimes even Gwaine, that's fine with me too. As long as his bromance with Arthur stays intact, because that's what drew me to the show in the first place. Personal preference. I see them as platonic soulmates.

*Shout-out to the Merthur writers though, you kept me sane during my "Post-Merlin Depression," which is actually a term thrown around in the fandom because of that horrid final season (not saying it's a good term but it's what it was called). A lot of amazing fics here, too, both Magic Reveal and Modern AU ones. Full of action and adventure too! I mean, there are boy-band-looking Knights and magic-wielding badasses!

Tim Drake x Conner Kent/Kon-El aka Red Robin x Super Boy - DC Comics

More like flexible otp. I dig Stephanie Brown and Tim Drake BUT I really really also dig Tim Drake and Conner Kent. When they're TimKon, it's like an entirely different entity from TimSteph. Ugh, hard to explain.

I mean, Kon telling Tim, "You'll always be my Robin" and Tim telling Kon, "And you'll always be my clone boy" is the shit. Also when Kon could pick out/recognize Tim's heartbeat. And when Tim nearly went mad scientist trying to bring his bestie back. Like, dudes, wtf. And at the same time, hell yeah.

Liu Kang x Kung Lao aka LiuLao - Mortal Kombat

- I see these two as more like ride or die best friends connected by fate/platonic soulmates. But also like their dynamic is so awesome, cute, sweet, badass, can't-live-without-you vibes.

Basically the same way I feel about Merthur. I like reading both romantic and platonic relationships between these two characters. Like, the LiuLao fan creators peeling off the layers of this relationship and exposing every raw nerve is beautiful.

They love diving into the characters' psyche, emotions, motivations, fears, and doubts and you get really amazed because... Aren't they just characters from a video game, you ask? Well yeah, but MK video game has several interesting storylines and the Mortal Kombat 2021 movie was just the perfect jumpstarter to this beautiful blaze.

I mean, "We swore that if we were to die, it would be together"? Hell no, you're not dropping that on us and not expecting us to create our very own spin-offs and 12-page essays on that shit. That's what we fans do, baby. And also, really, we need a shaolin monks/white lotus spin-off/prequel. We're starving here.

As this ship is the newest one on my list, it's the one I'm looking forward to the most. Not enough fan content, I tell you. Not enough. One of these days, I just might add my own.

But right now, it's past 1 and so I shall attempt to sleep.
