this 8 step self care routine is meant to be super DUPER over the top but its intended more so to make u feel like the goddess that u are and to simply pamper, and spoil urself as u should...plus you'll smell like a cupcake after 🎀

warning, LONG post ahead but thats because i tried to be thorough and clear on the steps of this 8-step routine.✨🧁
STEP ONE ; ICING UR FACE
the benefits of facial icing include more radiant skin, helps with spider lines, and blemish control. if u wanna know more about icing ur face i recommend u read this.
but typically you'll fill up a bowl with some water and ice and dunk ur face in the ice in 60 second intervals (thats how i like to do it) or you take an ice cube and run that on ur skin.
STEP TWO ; OILING UR HAIR
i personally dont recommend oiling ur hair overnight, once u apply ur hair oil into ur hair let it sit for 30 minutes - 4 hours depending on how much time u have on ur hands, but if ur gonna do the 8 step self care ritual i would assume u had some time.
use the scalp massaging tool for blood flow to ur head and MASSAGE. imagine all of ur stress seeping out of ur body. it might sound strange, but when im doing this step i imagine myself rearranging and organizing my thoughts 💀.
while ur doing this whole routine i recommend playing an affirmation tape in the background, or ur favorite playlist. 🧁
STEP THREE ; MASKS
next i'll use a spray bottle and wet my hair before going in with my hair mask, and once thats in ur hair use the claw clip to keep ur hair up and out of ur face.

now its time for the facial mask and i recommend keeping kind of an ARSENAL of masks, whether its a liquid or clay mask or sheet masks just have them on u because i usually do face masks of any sort 1-2 times a week for my LUSTROUS glow.
while u have the hair and face masks in, its a good time to do some dry brushing to remove dead skin cells and improve blood circulation. some other masks that u can do to be EXTRA are lip masks and under eye masks.
STEP FOUR ; IN THE SHOWER
wash ur hair as you would usually do, use the body scrub before using a body wash that has similar tones to the body scrub (this is called scent layering) and while in the shower i recommend to do a shower meditation.
if y'all r interested i'll make a shower meditation guide and u can record ur own voice doing the meditation so u can use it ✨
while ur in the shower make sure to be meticulous and take ur time while u wash ur body. do double cleansing so that u can ensure that you're squeaky clean.
now is also the time to shave if u like to do that and remember use a body scrub BEFORE u shave and once ur out of the shower to use a body oil to prevent ingrowns and to just have a smoother shave in general.
STEP FIVE ; OUT OF THE SHOWER
use ur body oil and ur body lotion, this kind of goes along with the before bed slugging notion which gives the SOFTEST most amazing skin in the morning so i highly recommend it.
HOT TIP FROM HONEY ; using a warmed up towel adds to the whole spa experience so i def recommend that, warming up towels/blankets/robes makes me feel so cozy and toasty 🧋✨
the formula for before bed slugging is (body oil + body lotion + a thick body butter/cream)
STEP SIX ; REPAIR AND REPLENISH
once your out of the shower and you’ve slugged ur body, use a leave in conditioner to repair and soothe damaged hair.
use a face milk
cuticle oil
now’s the time to use pimple patches
and things of that nature in general
this ensures that ur being absolutely meticulous and replenishing ur body the proper way. taking care of ur base so that u can make it absolutely GLOW ✨
STEP SEVEN ; FACIAL MASSAGE
use a gua sha and any other facial massage tools to help blood circulation and just be EXTRA. to sculpt ur face like the goddess you are.

facial massage stimulates blood circulation, promoting oxygen flow and nutrient delivery to the skin cells. facial massage helps to release the tension held in the facial muscles, alleviating stress lines and promoting a more youthful appearance.
AND if ur consistent with facial massage, you'll can enhance skin elasticity AND diminish fine lines.
STEP EIGHT ; YOGA AND STRETCHES
nothing feels better then massaging and stretching stiff limbs, especially if u have pains or aches in ur body. look up a follow along, super light, yoga routine or a stretching routine.

He always scoffs when you say stuff like that. But the pink that dusts his pale cheeks is enough to keep the compliments flowing.
Love is a powerful word to describe your feelings for one another. Too powerful- it makes you a bit clammy thinking about it. Four letters but enough to break a person's entire being.
Adrian isn’t as in tune with his emotions as he may like to appear. Either pushing them away, or letting them devour him completely. No in between. Not the healthiest individual, but neither were you.
That’s what makes this all the more terrifying. Working to better yourselves, for each other. Wanting to be a healthier, more open minded person. Together- for each other.
It’s kind of romantic, wanting to change for the better.
Baby steps at first, beginning with drinking more water and eating healthier. Adrian constantly nags you for all the junk you eat, so you allow him to cook whatever he deems “proper cuisine”.
For Adrian, he’s working on relaxing. As bizarre as that sounds, trying to wrestle the man down for an afternoon nap is almost impossible. Now for a half hour a day, he has to either meditate or nap. No reading, or eating, or whatever mindless hobby he’s picked up. Just sitting there, alone with his thoughts.
This little self help duo you formed has been going well for the most part. Up until he showed up.
It wasn’t a big surprise when newcomers came to the little village Adrian founded. Most of them are stragglers, wandering from town to town then leaving after a few nights. And sometimes, rarely, they even come to have dinner in the castle.
He said his name was ‘Owen’, but after the stunt he pulled you’re not even sure that was his real name.
It was your idea to invite him over for dinner, after he told you a sob story about his awful travels and the loss of his parents. Pity invite, but an invite nonetheless.
“Lovely home you got.” His eyes roamed the beautiful interior.
“Thanks but it’s not mine. Adrian’s father passed it down to him.”
“You don’t say.” Even then you should have noticed his wandering eyes.
Dinner went well, he talked about his parents and seemed like a genuinely decent guy. Someone who’s had shit luck and needed to see that there was still goodness in the world.
Well that genuine nature turned out to be a load of horseshit. He wandered off to “take a leak” and you both found him in the attic, trying to swipe some magic weapons. He panicked and grabbed a nearby dagger, swinging it at you. It only nicked you but Adrian beat him to a pulp. You don’t know if the man would be alive if you weren’t there.
After kicking him out and threatening him never to return, it’s been tense between you both. He’s clearly upset but refuses to say anything. Adrian’s always been a bit cautious about inviting guests into the castle, for good reason- Dracula’s castle is known by many.
Laying back to back in the darkness of your shared bedroom is not how you wanted to spend the night. He never lays on his side, claiming it’s better for blood circulation to lay flat on your back- so you know for sure he’s angry. Plus the small dramatic sighs he keeps letting out.
“Are you gonna talk about it or keep sighing all night?” The silent treatment was not part of your self improvement journeys.
“There’s nothing to talk about. Good night.” It's curt and full of attitude.
Sitting up quickly, you look at him. He feels you shifting but makes no move to face you.
“Adrian.”
Nothing.
“Adrian, talk to me.”
Still nothing.
“Fine.”
The feeling of weight lifting off the bed has his attention, as he peeks over his shoulder to watch you grabbing your pillows.
“Where are you going?” He’s sitting up now, watching you clutch your pillow on a journey to the door.
“Sleeping in the guest room.”
He rolls his eyes.
“Don’t be absurd.”
“Adrian you’ve been an ass to me all day. You’re acting like you’re the one who got attacked!”
He looks at your wrapped forearm, sighing and laying back down.
“If you had listened to me in the first place, none of this would have happened.”
“Oh, so now you want to say shit.” Throwing the pillows at the foot of the bed, and crossing your arms. “As if you haven’t invited plenty of people over to the castle.”
“I have not.” The accusation has him sitting up on his elbows, furrowed brow.
“That couple from Lupu?”
“His wife was pregnant.”
“Those kids from Salo?”
“They were too young to be adventuring into the woods at night.”
“That cute guy from Hanna?”
“He was… very hungry.” Fumbling and struggling to keep eye contact.
“And cute.”
Adrian huffs in anger, the pout on his face would be upsetting if it weren’t so adorable.
“And now one bad apple comes through, after a couple dozen good ones.”
Crawling up the bed on all fours has him shifting up a bit. Almost like prey under a predator.
Finally stopping once you’re fully straddling his thighs, knees slightly bent making a perfect seat for your ass.
“You’re being a real arse to me, when I got a boo boo.” You hold up your arm like a wounded animal, giving a small pout.
He takes the bait and gently grasps your wrist, bringing the bandage to his lips. Ever so careful, his lips put barely any pressure on your wound.

“I can think of a few things.”
Leaning down, planting a kiss on his jawline, then along his neck, reaching his shoulder. No time to process what’s happening, you dig your teeth into the skin showing from his nightgown.
“Ah!” That cry wasn’t one of surprise, but pleasure.
“There, now we both have boo boos.” The joke doesn’t process with him, too busy panting - eyes not focused on anything.
“You okay?” His arms wrap around your waist, pulling you against him. Based on the hardness pressed against your panties, he’s more than okay.

FLOW, CIRCULATION, AND THE LOVER
A Venusian Temple Arts Channeling Most problems related to the female (or male) body are due to a lack of circulation in that area where the ailment is occurring. Also, a lack of circulation will negatively impact your bag and coins. Said differently: in this system, unless you were born into "old money," you must own that the condition of your body is directly related to your quality of life. Circulation is related to your heart, blood, sensuality, sex, passion, deep feeling, creativity, and overall life force energy. And there is no coincidence that there is a large amount of shame and mysticism around the female body and its resourceful capacity for epic circulation i.e. creation and regeneration--not only for ourselves but for the cells of our loved ones and for the collective cells of our village/community. How beautiful, right?! This is what I was channeling in my first book when I wrote "A sensually activated woman is a wealthy natural resource for any community. Pleasure is power." If you are desiring to strengthen your skills as a lover Goddess which is your flow state capacity to create.... anything including tactile abundance like money and better health, without exhausting yourself, the circulatory system has to become your favorite system of the body. It has to be your friend, your loved one. Because the prime quality of a lover is that she knows how to inspire and stimulate circulation or flow states in others as well--a type of muse consciousness. It could be with her compassion, heart, use of language, use of hands, breasts projections, face/mouth/quality of conversation, dance, beauty, singing, etc. Artists, men, women, children, and animals are attracted to muse consciousness in different ways. Use ginger paste (ginger powder/oil mixed with warm water) rubbed into pain or troubled sight or energetic stagnation including bald spots plus reducing sugar intake including *too much* fruit sugar and starchy carbs and dense meats -which slows down your blood flow while increasing some combination of movement, deep breathing, hot+cold water therapy, sauna/spa, sunbathing, walking, and the like are acts incorporated in a life of a lover and those who we care for. Train your mind to focus and stay calm--to be able to drop into deep presence and feel. Do to one thing at time like wash dishes without stopping to do anything else. Presence, an unscattered mind, is a high-skill and quality of a lover. Recalibrating the mindset and belief systems you've been holding onto for 20 years into more lighthearted, open-hearted frequencies are critical.

How do you perform CPR on a Gallifreyan? Do you have to restart both hearts (which could potentially require one more person helping you) or is it enough to restart just one?
🚨How to Perform CPR on a Gallifreyan
I'm so glad you asked! There exists a standard CPR procedure for Gallifreyans, which we know works. However, this has been bugging GIL for a while as there's considerable room for improvement.
(Consider this an updated version of the previous post).
Disclaimer: This strategy is not suitable for humans. Follow the directions as stated by your human medical people: The Resuscitation Council UK - How to do CPR link.
🫀 Background
Gallifreyan hearts beat in a delayed rhythm (1) thud-thud — (2) thud-thud, not thud-thud together), meaning you've got to consider this staggered beat when performing CPR. Restarting the hearts out of sync can lead to severe issues, including arrhythmias or inefficient blood circulation.
🤔Pre-CPR
Secure the Scene: First, ensure the environment around you and your Gallifreyan friend is safe. Look out Daleks or any other environmental hazards that could pose additional threats.
Initial Response: Engage with your Gallifreyan friend by asking, 'How are you feeling?' and gently shake their shoulder while inquiring, 'Can you hear me?' This might help gauge their level of consciousness.
Seeking Bystander Assistance: When dealing with a Gallifreyan hearts issue, getting bystander help is key, but remember, a human ambulance won't cut it for their unique biology. If able, ask around for anyone with knowledge of alien medical care to assist, and direct others to help keep the area clear or communicate with specialised medical teams using any advanced tech you have. It's all about finding the right support while ensuring everyone understands/remains unaware of the patient as a non-human.
Recognising Cardiac Arrest: Check for the two hearts' rhythm and normal breathing patterns. The absence of these signs indicates cardiac arrest, but if there's a pulse and they're breathing, proceed with a systematic ABCDE assessment.
Here are a normal set of life signs for reference.
Respiration Rate (breaths per minute) - 5-10
Supplemental Oxygen (cannula/mask etc. in use?) - No
Temperature (orally) - 15.1-19°C / 59.1-66.3°F
Systolic BP (top figure from blood pressure) - 151-240
Heart rate (individual) - 45-90
Level of consciousness - Alert
However, if you suspect a cardiac arrest:
💓 Standard Methods
💞Dual Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (D-CPR)
This is the standard method for performing CPR on Gallifreyans:
Perform 5 compressions over the right heart (from the patient's point of view). Maintain a compression depth of 5-6 cm.
After the right side, switch to the left heart and perform 5 compressions with the same depth.
Administer 2 rescue breaths after completing compressions on both hearts.
Continue this cycle of compressions and breaths until the Gallifreyan shows signs of consciousness or medical help arrives. If you become tired, swap with someone else to maintain effective compressions.
👩‍⚕️ Single Rescuer vs. Multiple Rescuers
If you're the only one available:
Perform 5 compressions on the right heart.
Switch to 5 compressions on the left heart.
Administer 2 rescue breaths after each round of compressions.
Continue alternating between hearts and providing breaths.
If you have two rescuers:
Rescuer 1 handles compressions on the right heart.
Rescuer 2 handles compressions on the left heart.
Rescue breaths are given after each round of compressions on both hearts.
⚙️ Proposed Improved Methods
💞Synchronised Dual Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (SD-CPR)
The above method works, and we know that. However, it's probably not the gold standard.
SD-CPR improves the standard D-CPR technique by ensuring the compressions on both hearts are synchronised with their natural delay. This method is most effective when two rescuers are available.
Rescuer 1 starts compressions on the right heart, pressing down to a depth of 5-6 cm.
Rescuer 2 waits half a second, then begins compressions on the left heart. The slight delay aligns with the natural rhythm of the Gallifreyan's hearts.
After 5 compressions on each heart, rescuers administer 2 rescue breaths.
Repeat the cycle, ensuring both rescuers keep their compressions synchronised to the staggered heartbeat rhythm.
This method ensures both hearts are supported, avoiding any arrhythmias or interruptions in blood flow.
👩‍⚕️ Single Rescuer SD-CPR
If you're alone and need to handle both hearts, SD-CPR can still be applied, though it needs efficient positioning and timing:
Straddle the Gallifreyan's chest, positioning yourself above both hearts to switch efficiently between them.
Perform 1 compression on the right heart.
Immediately follow with 1 compression on the left heart.
Alternate compressions between the right and left hearts, maintaining the natural delay. For example, right-left-right-left, continuing in rhythm.
Administer 2 rescue breaths after every round of compressions on both hearts (5 for each).
Continue alternating compressions between hearts, followed by rescue breaths, ensuring you maintain proper timing for both hearts.
This approach ensures that both hearts receive attention, even if you're the only rescuer.
💥 Sequential Precordial Thump (SPT)
If only one heart has stopped, use this method:
Establish the rhythm of the working heart.
Deliver a firm, sharp thump to the chest over the affected heart. timing it for just after the working one beats.
Then deliver another thump on the back quickly, directly aligned with the heart.
🔍 Continuous Monitoring
Whatever method you choose, throughout the process, carefully monitor the Gallifreyan's condition:
If one heart restarts but the other remains non-functional, administer a sequential precordial thump.
Continue until both hearts are synchronised and stable, or help arrives.

THE CRESTWORLD
Chapter Eight
She’d been so focused on Din’s instructions and her own actions, she hadn’t realized how close he’d gotten; at least, not until she turned her head to look at him and then their eyes locked. Suddenly, the world stilled as her eyes slowly took in his features, felt the brush of his breath against her cheek, the woodsy, leather, gun oil scent that filled her nostrils. Her body realized and became all too aware of how close he was - - how his shirt and the warmth from his body brushed against her back, how the heat of his hand seeped into her own as he guided her. 
 In that moment there was nothing but a rushing hum in my ears, as the blood pushed through my veins without restraint, as my heart started thumping in my chest. 
All thoughts, questions, everything just stopped as I looked deep into his warm, kind and chestnut coloured eyes. 
I tried to remember the last time someone looked at me with such kindness and warmth, the fact that nothing came straight to my mind caused my heart to lurch. 
Time seemed to have lost all meaning in that moment, it was only when Misty shifted and knocked her leash against the barn breaking the weird tension between us, that I finally looked elsewhere.
I cleared my throat, shifting away from him a little, hoping he didn’t think I found him uncomfortable. In reality, it wasn’t him that made me uncomfortable, it was that weird feeling in my heart that sent a tingling sensation down my arms to my hands. 
“I think I got it.” I stated as I found my strength once again, now that I wasn’t looking at him or sensing his warmth. 
Din cleared his throat, nodding as he rubbed the back of his neck. He hadn’t meant to invade her personal space, or to be so close that he could practically smell the soft, spicy, citrusy, balsamic scent coming off her, it was so different from anything Camilla had ever worn before. Was it her shampoo or was that her body wash? Maybe it was her lotion? Either way, he found himself leaning a little to smell it once again. He dug his nails into his palm, getting him to fight back to reality. He closed his eyes, letting the pain in his hands snap him out of whatever that was, he shifted away from her. He opened his eyes focusing on Misty, grounding himself as he tried to understand what just happened. Why did he just … he shook his head, focusing back on the task at hand.
“Good. Once you finish currying Misty, then we move on to brushing her coat.”
“Are there different brushes for each stage?”
Din shifted his head, “Yes and no. There are different types of horse brush, for example a body brush, great for removing dust, dried sweat from fine coats. Great for improving circulation and evenly distributing natural oils within the coat. Then there’s a dandy brush, used for bushing off mud, dander and grease, ideal for heavy or coarse coats. It’s too harsh for fine coated horses, such as thoroughbreds, and usually used during winter months when coats are thicker. There’s a flick brush, designed to flex and flick away debris, they’re best used after an initial groom, like we are.” He reached over and passed the flick brush to Ann, “There’s two types of flick brushes, one for fine coats and one for coarse coats. I also have a water brush, which is pretty self explanatory, a finishing brush which you use in the final step in the grooming process, used to polish and create an ultra shine. Then you have your grooming mitt, which is a soft fluffy mitt that can be used instead of a finishing brush. Finally, you have what’s called a curry comb, which cleans your brushes, keeps them lasting longer, and keeps them clean causing them to work better. Anyway, for the flick brush, you want to use short flicking motions to brush off the dirt we dislodged. Brush the area we just went over, and remember to avoid the head, mane, tail and lower legs. So begin at the neck and work your way around, following the direction of the hair growth.”
I nodded taking in everything he said, I glanced over my shoulder seeing him turn to walk away, “Where are you going?” The question was out of my mouth before I could even stop it, not sure why I was even caring where he went. It wasn’t any of my business. 
“I’m gonna check on Bessie, you mentioned earlier, you thought she was in pain, so I’m gonna go see if she’s alright.” He nodded, tipping his head towards me before heading off to look for Bessie. 
It was a while before Din came back, he looked at Misty, eyeing the work I did.
“Great job, now onto the next step.” He directed me to bring over Taika and start the process over with him. By the time we finished lunch had already come and gone, it was almost two in the afternoon. I glanced at my watch and realized he must be just as hungry as I am. 
He didn’t know why but just watching her as she rested against the corral while Taika and Misty were grazing, made him realize what Cobb mentioned when he brought her to the ranch. What was it again, ‘You know Ann’s not all that bad, she seems sweet. Easy on the eyes, and has a very enjoyable laugh.’ He couldn’t deny it, she wasn’t all that bad, and yeah she was easy on the eyes. He didn’t find her drop dead gorgeous, but she was quite pretty and very capable. Despite never having worked on a farm before she was very reliable, willing to learn and was always asking questions. In fact, he hadn’t had to wake her up or remind her to have dinner ready for Grogu once. She just sort of fell into place. Kind of like she belonged.

Avatar's Bloodbending 'Problem'
TL:DR: It's not necromancy. It's not paralled to the real rise of a genuinely good service, or in its own universe something that is inherently, at worse, disrespectful. One can raise the dead and do no harm. To Bloodbend ANYTHING is to force it to your will and inflict pain. Period.
So what is this about? Well, some people are trying to be 'clever' by talking about how the only form of bending that is inherently demonized is bloodbending, the version of bending created by someone who was under brutal oppression and in solitary confinement. Here's the thing... Does a backstory excuse evil?
What is Bloodbending good for, especially versus other forms of evil magic? Mind Control can guarantee the truth out of people, helping with criminal investigations, or for that matter can help suppress fears, help people face or erase trauma, etc. like that. Necromancy can be used to help study the human body, be what leads the way to non-holy forms of revival magic and literally reflects how people had to fight in order to learn how to heal through medicine. What can Bloodbending do?
It can't force people to answer questions, it can't teach one about the human body beyond MAYBE how the circulation system works, and when used, it is inherently VERY painful. Its main uses are ONLY in physical control and death. The actual, good or even BENIGN uses for it are minimal, to put it extremely mildly. The main one I can think of would be a bloodbender who was given permission to help people who have lost the use of their limbs be able to use them again, or helping athletes be able to improve their training... Maybe.
And in return? Something that on pretty much all levels is wrong. From a moral perspective, you take the autonomy of a person. It is called Bloodbending but... What the fuck BENDS in this situation? With any other form of bending, you move with the elements. You convince them to join you in your desires and for the most part have them do things they would regardless, just in a different direction. Healing with water bending is the big question mark here but forms of firebending is just combusting the air and then letting it burn. Earthbending is creating different forms of rock, different shapes, and then pushing it. Airbending is just making air move fast, hard, etc. like that.
Blood bending does not convince the body to do what it normally wants to or suggests to it new actions. How Sokka and Aang contort is entirely unnatural. Not only that but what others bend is inert. It does not have a will you're stopping, minus two examples I'll get into, but bloodbending? It inherently is going against the will of the other person which goes against many of the show's own philosophies and morals. Like this person in captivity... Makes people their captives. Continuing the cycle of cruelty is not a good thing. Ever.
Fun element to this: This is why benders can't multi-bend as well and why even Avatars struggle with certain elements. The element cannot bend in a way it is unsuited for so the person themselves must be in harmony with the element they are using. Hence why Aang needs to fight his natural instincts to meet Earth on its own terms because the whole fucking point is HARMONY.
So about those two exceptions: Lightning and Plant bending. Lightning has a goal in its movements. It's not just flowing due to gravity like water or burning fuel like fire but instead chooses a specific point to strike, which even then could be argued as not a choice because of how it actually works in nature. How do you deal with that? Specifically by working with the lightning and convincing it to go in a new direction through the motions of your own body, like any other form of bending. And plant bending is only done by people who are at one with nature. Who work with it in their bending, not against it like with Bloodbending. It is in harmony, not conflict, with the material who's lifeblood it uses.
Bloodbending, by probably every metric possible, IS in fact an abberation. Something that is cruel, unnatural and goes against the spiritual ideals of the show. Why in the world WOULDN'T it be demonized?
The source of something does not dictate its morality. Its uses and purpose do. Otherwise, the church would be allowed to do quite literally anything it ever wanted because it is empowered by God to do good and fight 'evil'. I don't think any of us want that. See you next tale.

Final one that isn't actually directly a part of this conversation but I could see people could try to use it here is the obvious comparison to Blood Magic in fantasy. However, I would argue Blood Magic is much closer to nuclear energy in most fantasy settings, with how it is at its base level just an energy source but by not regulating it, the harm it can do is DEVASTATING. Good mages can use it as an energy source to cast more benign spells in times of emergency to help people but not through what blood magic uniquely allows one to do. It's like how uranium is a VERY good energy source but as an energy source, it's just extra potent. Its more specific uses however mostly include, you know, destroying large pockets of civilization. It needs to be made into something more generally useful to be good. Bloodbending... Isn't anything like that because it can't even be turned into something benign to then be used for better work so it has no real place in this conversation.

About Revitonica
I’ve received quite a lot of questions about this facial massage system from Russia, and I thought that I’d do a post explaining it for everyone in clear English. Any quoted sections in this post are my own translations from the original Russian, and all links are in Russian, but you can use Google Translate.
What is Revitonica and how does it work?
Revitonica (in Russian: Ревитоника) is a patented method for facial massage that claims it can “improve circulation of the blood and lymphatic systems; restore the bone, muscle, and fat tissues of the face and neck; and eliminate fibroses.”
It is supposedly based on the results of a randomised control trial that took place between 2016–2020, which demonstrated that the techniques used in the Revitonica method effectively treated both aesthetic concerns and mental health issues. The Revitonica website gives links to multiple studies which support its claims, and they’re all published in reputable scientific journals in Russia, but all of them are primarily authored by the ‘inventor’ of the Revitonica system, Anastasia Dubinskaya. I’m personally a bit suspicious of these studies, especially those which claim links between facial muscle tone and mental health.
I’m going to sum up the philosophy of the method in a nutshell, because the website and studies are really vague about its actual mechanism: Revitonica claims that the true cause of visible ageing is bone and muscle loss, and that contemporary facial massage methods, which focus on toning and reducing the surface area of the bone, muscle, and fat beneath the skin, actually accelerate visible ageing, because the skin has less surface support beneath it, and therefore begins to sag. These methods cause undue tension in the facial muscles, which can then spasm, and it’s these spasms which Revitonica claims cause wrinkles. Unlike other methods, Revitonica focuses on relaxing the facial muscles, increasing facial bone density, improving facial posture, and through this, increasing and stabilising the structural surface area beneath the skin, so that it’s stretched more tightly, and won’t sag.
Who invented Revitonica?
This is actually a more complicated question than it first sounds. A simple Google search in English will tell you that the inventor of the Revitonica method was Anastasia Dubinskaya, and that she based her findings on that elusive 2016–2020 trial. The Russian website is a bit more honest: it says that the original inventor of the method was Natalia Osminina, in 2010, and that Anastasia Dubinskaya only took over development and testing later (note that Natalia Osminina is also referred to by her patronymic, Borisovna, on the linked page). Natalia left Revitonica in 2015, and moved on to work on her own projects, leaving the Revitonica project to Anastasia Dubinskaya.
I think it’s important to point out here that Natalia Osminina actually started publishing works related to Revitonica in 2006 (some sources claim that she began working on the method as early as 1994), and she is still working on developing her own original method, which she has renamed Osmionica. This has become a bit... New Age and a bit esoteric, and talks much more about the importance of bodily posture and spatial awareness over simply focusing on the face and neck. Girls I’ve spoken to have all said that Osmionica is more powerful and effective than Revitonica, but remember that these are all anecdotal reports; Osmionica doesn’t have the same strict adherence to science as Revitonica, and is a bit more intense and ‘out there’. It’s up to you what you make of this information.
What results does it give?

It’s undeniable that Revitonica does give some results. There are thousands of reviews, blog posts, and forum threads across the CIS nations devoted to singing its praises. The photo above is taken from the official website, and you can see that the results Revitonica is claiming to achieve are pretty natural: lines are smoothed out, lids and brows are lifted, and the face looks altogether a bit tighter.
It’s this ‘tight’ look that I see really commonly amongst facial massage practitioners in the CIS nations, and I haven’t really seen it anywhere else. It’s not the look of a face lift; it’s something more natural, and something muscular. It’s a specific look, and it’s not necessarily one that everyone will want, but to me, it’s some kind of proof that the philosophy behind Revitonica does something. The philosophy (relaxing muscles, reducing bone absorption, and increasing musculoskeletal surface area in the face and neck) is something that I see really frequently mentioned across so many different pieces of research, plastic surgery write-ups, and even beauty blogs in the CIS nations and other former members of the Warsaw Pact, and it goes against what is typically taught to aestheticians in the West. It clearly gives a different effect, because I don’t see this same tight look on Western practitioners. Obviously is is my own anecdotal view, but... this is my own informal explanation, so I stand by it.
Should I follow the Revitonica method?
It depends. The science is a bit iffy, the results give a specific look, and it’s a bit of an intense and sometimes esoteric sort of method. Followers of Revitonica in Russia are kind of cultlike, I think, and you have to think about whether you can tolerate wading through that kind of atmosphere.
From a more practical perspective: most actually helpful resources are in Russian, most of the ‘scientific’ background is in Russian, and the Revitonica website is kind of bad and doesn’t really tell you much useful information. Also, you have to pay for access to the programme, and finding supplemental resources and answers to your questions will, again, all be in Russian. This isn’t really an endeavour I’d recommend to people who aren’t used to navigating the Russophone internet and who don’t have at least a very basic understanding of Russian and a good grasp on pushing Google Translate to its limits.
Still, I don’t not recommend it, either. I’ve read and watched most materials related to Revitonica and its Osmionica offshoots, and I incorporate a lot of the philosophy and techniques into my own facial massage routines. Personally, I prefer the older, pre-2015 materials, and some of the works later produced by Natalia Osminina, but the new Revitonica brand under Anastasia Dubinskaya is much more user-friendly and probably a better place to start for beginners.
I’m not in Russia: how can I access Revitonica resources?
Anastasia Dubinskaya and Natalia Osminina both have their own YouTube channels with videos about their respective methods. Most of these are more sort of ‘teaser trailers’ or discussion of scientific research rather than instructional videos, but I think it’s probably the best place to start. Most of these videos have English subtitles of variable accuracy.
Most of the pre-2015 books and some newer ones are available for immediate download on the Russian student website Twirpx, and some more here on RoyalLib and here on Filibuster.
The newer resources, mostly video courses, are available on Russian torrent sites like Sharewood. This is maybe a little bit more difficult to manoeuvre, but it’s not really complicated to download torrents—it’s really whether or not you’re comfortable torrenting from Russia.
There are also lots of medical/aesthetic institutes with online posts and further resources about the method, and videos on YouTube, which aren’t affiliated directly with the patented technique and brands, but use much the same philosophy. As I already mentioned, this basic philosophy is quite common amongst CIS aestheticians, and it’s not just limited to the Revitonica/Osmionica brands.
