Choosing the Right Low Center Table for Your Ramadan Setup

In a vibrant city like Dubai, where cultural traditions blend seamlessly with modern luxury, the center table or coffee table plays a vital role in shaping the hospitality experience—especially during Ramadan. More than just functional furniture, it serves as the heart of majlis gatherings, where guests are welcomed with Arabic coffee, dates, and warm conversations. Whether in a traditional Emirati home, a contemporary apartment, or a high-end villa, a well-chosen low center table enhances both aesthetics and practicality. During iftar and suhoor, these tables become the focal point, adorned with lanterns, ornate trays, and decorative elements that reflect the season’s spiritual ambiance. In Dubai’s dynamic interior design scene, homeowners and designers seek tables that balance elegance with function—from hand-carved wooden pieces that exude Arabian charm to modern glass and marble designs that complement sleek interiors. With the city's rich selection of furniture stores, from luxury showrooms to bustling souks, finding the perfect center table to suit your Ramadan gatherings is effortless, ensuring that every moment shared is as beautiful as it is meaningful.

On the 15th day of the Holy Month of Ramadan, thousands of residents of the Matareya district in Egypt's Cairo line street after street with tables, brightly coloured decorations and illuminated lanterns. Together, they share iftar-the evening meal during Ramadan-marking the halfway point of the month of fasting.

・。Love Through Food🥘
You've ordered: a spiced cardamom tart! enjoy!

"Just the thought of not being alone gets me through"
Jamil Viper x reader | word count: 748 words
Summary: after hearing that you're not eating enough for Iftar, Jamil takes matters into his own hands 🥘 (short little drabble that i spent way too much time on-)
Warnings: reader is yuu, other than that, none!
Note: finally finished this! writer's block sucks 🫠 inspired by this post i made, encouraged to write this by @multifandom-milktea-simp 's comment on said post. can't believe there's only 10 days left T-T Ramadan Mubarak!! 🌙
Ramadan was a hell of a lot harder this year. Or at least that's what your friends thought. Not only did you have to not eat for practically the entire day, you were constantly stressed with whatever absolute bullshit Crowley made you deal with. They just didn't know how you did it.
"So, you really don't eat all day?!" Grim exclaimed, currently chowing down on a can of tuna you got him.
"Nope. I mean, I've been doing this since I was what? Ten years old?" You replied, using the extra time to do some homework.
"Jeez, I could never." the cat like creature mumbled, licking his paws.
"It doesn't seem all that complicated, Grim." You turned around at the sound of the familiar voice. And there he stood.
Jamil Viper, vice housewarden of the Scarabia dorm...and your boyfriend.
"How's the fasting going? Are you eating well when you break your fast?"
For your Iftars, you would usually just have Ace and Deuce take extra portions of food during lunch and keep them for you until sunset. You'd take the food to Ramshackle and try to turn the leftovers into something filling.
"Mhm. I usually find something to eat. Sometimes, I cook for myself and Grim in Ramshackle." you said, not wanting to worry him.
"Really? Good, good...You know..." Jamil began, glancing up at you. "I could always cook Iftar for you. It not a big deal."
"No, it's fine. Really. You already have so much on your plate..." you muttered, Jamil frowning a bit.
You didn't want to bother asking him to cook for you since he already had to do so for Kalim. But when he overheard from the Heartslabyul duo that you were basically eating whatever meatless food items they brought, it just didn't sit right with him.
"Are you sure? I can always-"
You placed a hand on top of Jamil's, gently patting his hand while giving him a reassuring smile as you stood up.
"I'm positive. My class is about to start. I'll see you later. Come on, Grim."
And with that, he watched as you left the cafeteria, a nagging feeling gnawing at him.
Even though you told him you were eating okay, he couldn't help but worry, causing him to take matters into his own hands.
The smell of various herbs and spices filled you and Grim's senses as you two made your way into Ramshackle that night. You didn't remember ever cooking anything. Maybe the ghosts made it.
As you stepped into the living area, your jaws dropped. On the table was a lavish spread of mouthwatering foods: roasted and spiced meats, sautéed vegetables, rice and beans, a pot full of curry, and various sweets. And of course pitchers of freshly squeezed juices.
And who stood at the head of the table with a smile on his lips? The one and only: Jamil Viper.
"Jamil, you..." You were so awestruck by the display, feeling your heart swell with affection. "When did you do all of this?"
"Who cares? Let's eat!" Grim exclaimed, rushing over to the table, only to be stopped by one of the Ramshackle ghosts.
You turned your attention back to Jamil, who reached out and cupped your face in his hands.
"You've been working so hard and fasting everyday at that. You only deserve the best for your Iftar, no more cafeteria food." he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
"Thank you, Jamil. Really, thank you so much. I...I don't know how to repay you..." you muttered, placing your hands on top of his.
"There's no need. Seeing the look on your face as you enjoy my food is enough for me. Now come, let's eat." Jamil hummed, pulling away and pulling out a chair for you.
"About time!" Grim yelped, scampering into his seat and beginning to stuff himself silly.
"Grim! Slow down, you'll choke!" you chuckled, the cat like creature not minding your words as he grabbed another lamb skewer.
As you began to eat, your eyes widened, taste buds bombarded with various spices and herbs and sauces. It all left you speechless, your reaction being a thumbs up and a frantic nodding of your head.
Jamil was over the moon that you liked his food. Seeing you eat well after studying and fasting all day set his mind at ease, his hands moving to hold your empty one.
This was by far the best Iftar (and the best Ramadan) you'd ever had. 🥘

summary:: quiet ramadan nights w kenan. ( @barcapix take notes habibi 💔.)
warnings:: uhh none!
writers note:: ramadan kareem to everyone who celebrates! may Allah make your fasts easy! my requests will be slower now that it’s ramadan i need to stay halal yk 💔. also do you guys call it suhoor or sehri bc i call it fothabala bc my dad is from bangladesh…? anyways enjoy 🤍!
tags:: @barcapix @n0vazsq @httpsdana @paucubarsisimp ; lmk if u wanna be added or removed!
you sat on the floor of the apartment, legs stretched out, back against the couch. the table was still cluttered with plates from iftar, but neither of you had bothered to clean up yet. the night felt slow, the air thick with the kind of quiet that only came after long days and empty stomachs.
kenan was next to you, his head tilted back against the cushions, a bottle of water resting loosely in his hand. his eyes were half lidded, exhausted but awake, the way he always was during ramadan. fasting didn’t seem to slow him down at training, but once he was home, you could see it, the weight of it, the way his body ached from pushing itself past hunger, past thirst, past exhaustion.
‘you should drink more water,’ you muttered, nudging his arm.
he huffed out a laugh but took another sip, just to prove a point. ‘you sound like my mother.’
‘well, she’s right.’ you pulled the blanket tighter around yourself, watching as he rolled the bottle between his palms, lost in thought.
‘long day?’ you asked.
he nodded. ‘yeah. good, though. i felt sharp.’
you believed him. he never said much, never bragged, never complained. but you knew him well enough by now to hear what he wasn’t saying. the tiredness in his voice, the slight stiffness in his movements. the way he never admitted when it was too much.
‘stay up until suhoor?’ you asked.
he exhaled, considering it. ‘yeah. it’s easier that way.’
so you stayed. the two of you, sitting in the quiet, listening to the city hum outside. he tapped his fingers absently against the bottle, and you leaned your head back, letting the silence settle. neither of you needed to fill it.
ramadan nights always felt like this slow, heavy, still. but not lonely. never lonely.

I have Muslim trauma associated with Kaiden alenko for only one reason. Many years ago during Ramadan when I was playing mass effect for the first time on my Xbox in the living room on the tv, I was getting towards the end of the game as my parents were setting the table for iftar. Keep in mind - I had no idea what to expect nor did I know what was going to happen when I was making the dialogue choices with Kaiden. it is only my luck that the sex scene triggered as my mom was bringing the maqlubeh into the room and the last thing Mr alenko saw was me diving for the power cord and yanking it with the force of all my Palestinian ancestors. So whenever I see his face I am just reminded of the fear I felt in that moment and how that was almost my last day on earth

Hello, Happy Holy Ramadan. I know your request box is closed, but when your request box is opened, can you make this request? if it doesn't bother you, could you do Long Ramadan headcanons for Damian Wayne and the reader? I saw your Damian wayne x muslim reader post before. And I thought it was appropriate to ask you this. If this request bothers you, feel free to ignore it. Have a nice day 🩷🩷🩷🤚
Ramadan HCs
Muslim!Damian Wayne x Muslim!Reader
hey there sweetheart and Ramadan Mubarak <3! firstly i'm so sorry that it took me so long to respond to the ask! im ashamed it took me a year honestly. requests are closed but i still wanted to be able to write for this because we obviously need more muslim representation and also the last time i posted the muslim hc for damian there were just so many of the readers who texted me or sent asks or commented saying that they really appreciated the representation
anyways i wasn't sure if i was going to respond or not because it has been a year but since it is currently Ramadan and it's going to end very soon I figured why not
Thank you for being so respectful in your ask, I really appreciate it and I hope you like it. Hope you have a very blessed Ramadan and wishing everyone a lot of health and happiness during this time. Even to my non-muslim readers, I hope you all are doing well and you're all healthy <3333
also i know that there is a very slim chance of this happening because all of you are amazing but i will not tolerate any hate of any kind. if you
your first Ramadan after being married to Damian was certainly a new experience
before being married, you were just used to your parents handling everything for you
by the time you wake up for suhoor, the table would be set
by the time you'd be home from university, your mother would be waiting by the door with a date and a glass of water
so now that you were married and you had to handle everything on your own, it took a little bit of getting used to
luckily for you, Damian is a very hands on type of man
he's the kind of person who'd just drink a cup of water or a glass of milk, maybe a couple of dates or a fruit and he'd be ok for the remainder of the day
but god forbid you even think of doing the same thing
he'd just about have a heart attack
absolutely not
initially, he'd request Alfred to make meals for you so he could bring them home for the both of you to have suhoor together
just until the both of you got the hang of it
after that damian would either help you cook before patrol so there would be food ready for the both of you
or he'd swing by some restaurant that was open and grab some takeout for the both of you
he'd heat up the food and set the table and making sure everything was absolutely ready before finally waking you up
practically carrying your sleepyass to the table and handfeeding you so he can make sure you're eating properly
since he handles suhoor, you handle iftar and keep the table set so you can eat together
you could always just stay at the manor so you wouldn't have to worry about the meals, like bruce or dick have suggested so many times
but you prefer living alone with your husband
no offense to them at all
but it's just easier for you to maintain your modesty at your own home
anyways
your marriage gets really tested during Ramadan
the two of you are barely getting any sleep and it's difficult for you both to get used to
the only time that you both spend together and are completely present is when he should be patrolling
the lack of sleep makes you both kind of cranky
and it's difficult to not snap at each other
eventually you both get pretty tired and exhausted and just slip into routine
but of course it's nothing some sleep and some time spent together can't solve
and since you've been trying to reduce watching movies and listening to music during the holy month, you end up playing board games together or going for long drives together where you just talk and talk and talk
you thought you were extremely secure in your marriage
that was until you saw damian pout and give you the silent treatment after losing a game of gin rummy
then claiming you shouldn't be playing a game called 'jinn' in the first place
not swearing or talking shit during ramadan was especially hard for him
especially with tim and steph yelling 'fi ramadan?' at him everytime he makes even the slightest snide comment
you find it hilarious but i digress
whenever you go to the masjid for nightly prayers, damian and you will go and find a new ice cream place to try out late at night
you mention in passing how the women's side of the mosque is so bland compared to the men's and damian immediately looks into getting the mosque refurbished so that you and other women can enjoy it
damian's shoes get stolen once and the great detective actually couldn't find out who it was
you hear him complain about it constantly
CONSTANTLY
this time is when you both really lean into the adorable muslim couple aesthetic
matching prayer mats with each of your names embroidered on it
matching tasbih
and other things you get the picture
you both go all out for ramadan and decorate your home from top to bottom
since you both don't really celebrate many of the western holidays, he really wants to make this a memorable time for the both of you
and so do you
you hold an iftar party at your place many times with all your friends and family
it started out with you just inviting everyone but eventually it became a weekly potluck, which you really appreciated
bro damian is more excited about Eid than you are
he literally has to keep reminding you to get your dress ready for Eid al fitr
because he wants to get a jubbah in a matching color and surprise you
you know how you have those cute texts of girlies asking their bfs for their opinions on their nails?
the exact same thing
except with HENNA
you send him like 100 different pictures a week, planning which design you want to wear for Eid
he responds to all of them with utmost seriousness
obviously, he's an artist
he knows whats the difference between arabic and indian designs for henna
but secretly he's wondering why you're sending him so many when you only have 2 hands
but um hello he's never going to tell you that
because it's ramadan and obv ramadan related stuff is going to be appearing on everyones fyp he has to deal with both you and dick sending him videos of the scholars being funny (iykyk)
hey guys let's start ramadan w a bang
also has to deal with jason asking him CONSTANTLY how he's still able to walk around when all the demons are supposed to be locked up for the month
plus he has to now deal with you watching mukbangs and restaurant reviews and crying to him about how you're starving
why on earth did silent asmr mukbangs of wingstop get so popular only during ramadan?
believe me every single prayer damian makes during this month, he is thanking god for bringing you to him and praying for your health and your happiness
when you found out, you cried in his arms for a good solid 5 minutes
he also secretly kind of prayed for kids on laylat ul qadr but you didn't hear it from me
not only is this month really special for the both of you, you take it as an opportunity to give back
damian has wayne enterprises run soup kitchens for the entire month and they serve all people meals as well as suhoor and iftar
you both volunteer there personally
you donate money of course and damian will tell you that everytime he does it, he feels fulfilled in a way he never has before
you honestly feel so proud of the man you feel blessed to call your husband
also, like the perfect husband he is, he sends gifts and food to your parents
who quickly begin to regard him as better than your own siblings
much to his secret pleasure
uk i wish i could keep going
honestly ramadan is such a magical and rewarding time of the year
and you are so happy to spend it along with damian
P.S.
while damian completely understood the point of sacrificing a goat for Eid al adha
he still cried about it to you the night before out of guilt
you definitely donated the meat that came out of that

POV: What’s the one thing you ask in Laylatul Qadr?
Me: That next Ramadan, Gaza wakes up to adhan, not airstrikes. That children run through streets, not over rubble.
That mothers set the iftar table without counting the empty seats.
That fathers come home to laughter without burying their kids.
Ya Rab, I don’t ask for myself tonight. I ask for my brothers and sisters in Gaza. I ask for the mothers who cry over their children, for the fathers who feel helpless.
Let this be the last Ramadan they suffer. Let next Ramadan be filled with peace, with freedom—with life. Ameen.

Hiii could you please do n°27 from the fluff prompt with Omar marmoush ? There are barely any imagines for him such an underrated guy. 😔 (i know your requests are currently closed , no rush take your time i just wanted to write it down b4 i forget )
Hallucination~Omar Marmoush

・❥・prompt list
・❥・masterlist -> part 2
・❥・who i write for
・❥・a/n: IM BACK!!! Had to make my first request an Omar one because he's my new obsession and ofc abt ramadan which I hope you don't mind. enjoyy <33
27-"Don’t worry, I won't tell anyone that you're secretly a huge softie."
Ramadan with Omar was peaceful and full of warmth.
The kitchen smelled like freshly grilled steak and mashed potatoes, while the fairy lights twinkled softly in the background, and the Quran played gently from her phone as she finished setting the iftar table.
Omar was nowhere to be seen, which was suspicious, considering he was usually hovering around, trying to help as much as possible.
But just as she placed the last plate down, she heard soft whispering coming from the living room.
Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
Was Omar… talking to someone?
She tiptoed closer, peeking around the corner.
Omar was sitting on the couch, cross-legged, as their chubby orange cat, Felfel, sat in his lap.
"You don’t understand, Felfel," Omar sighed dramatically. "Ramadan is a test, and I’m trying. I really am. But today? Today, I saw a video of a man breaking a piece of crispy samboosa in half, and I almost shed a tear."
Felfel blinked, unimpressed.
"And the dates, ya Allah," Omar continued, shaking his head. "Why do they have to look so glossy and perfect? I feel like they’re mocking me. Just sitting there in a bowl, waiting. And don’t get me started on water. I feel like I’ve never had a sip in my entire life."
y/n covered her mouth with both hands, trying so hard not to make a sound.
"And then there’s your mother," Omar groaned, rubbing his face.
"She tortures me, Felfel. She says, ‘It’s almost iftar, habibi!’ like it’s not still twenty minutes away. Do you know how long twenty minutes is when you’re fasting? It’s a lifetime."
Felfel yawned, laying on his back as he looked up at Omar with his eyes half closed.
"Oh, and don’t even look at her desserts, ya Allah," Omar went on, completely unaware she was watching.
"She made qatayef today, and the whole house smells like sugar and happiness, but am I allowed to have any? No. I have to wait. Sabr, Omar. Sabr." (patience Omar patience)
That was it. She couldn’t hold it in anymore as she burst out laughing.
Omar’s entire body stiffened. Slowly, like a man caught red-handed, he turned his head toward the door.
She leaned against the frame, arms crossed, a huge grin on her face. "Oh. Oh. This is so much better than I expected."
His eyes widened in horror. "How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough to know that you just made our cat your therapist"
Omar immediately sat up straighter, clearing his throat. "I-I was just-uh-" He gestured vaguely at Felfel. "I was explaining Ramadan to him."
She raised an eyebrow in amusement. "You were complaining about food like a man lost in the desert."
"I was not complaining!" he protested. "I was reflecting. There’s a difference."
She chuckled. "Mmm. Right. So, when you said the dates were mocking you-"
"It’s the lack of food and water. It’s making me-" He waved his hands in the air. "See things. Say things. Do things."
She burst into another round of laughter. "Omar, you’re 10 minutes away from breaking your fast and you’re acting like you’ve been stranded for weeks."
He placed a dramatic hand over his chest. "You don’t get it. You had something to do, you were busy. I was just sitting here, thinking about food. And you? You made food. You made qatayef and just left them there, looking at me."
"They’re not looking at you, Omar."
"You weren’t there. You didn’t see them."
She rolled her eyes, walking over and flopping down onto the couch beside him. "You’re so dramatic. Maybe next time, I should just hide the food."
His head snapped toward her. "Don’t even joke about that."
She grinned widely, leaning into his shoulder. "You know, I love this version of you. The Ramadan Omar who has deep conversations with our cat."
Omar groaned. "Ya Allah, I’ll never live this down, will I?"
She kissed his shoulder softly, laughing against his sleeve. "Never."
Felfel let out a tiny meow, and she gasped playfully. "See? Even he agrees with me."
Omar sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. "This is harassment."
"It’s teasing."
"Same thing."
She smirked again, eyes twinkling. "Don’t worry, I won't tell anyone that you're secretly a huge softie."
His mouth fell open in betrayal. "Excuse me?!"
"Yup." she nodded confidently. "You act all tough, but in reality, you’re out here having deep emotional connections with our cat."
"I'm fasting!" he cried. "I'm weak!"
"Sure, sure." she patted his chest. "You just keep telling yourself that, habibi."
Before he could reply, the call to Maghrib rang through the air, filling the house with a peaceful stillness.
Omar let out the deepest breath of relief, closing his eyes. "Alhamdulillah."
y/n giggled slightly, nudging him. "Ready to finally eat?"
He turned to her, eyes shining with warmth. "Only if you promise me one thing."
"What?"
"Next time don’t make qatayef until after iftar."
She raised her eyebrows as if thinking deeply before saying, "Hmm. No promises."
He groaned. "Felfel, help me, bro."
Felfel, completely done with both of them, stretched and walked out of the room.
y/n laughed, grabbing Omar’s hand. "Come on, my dramatic husband. Let’s go eat before you start seeing hallucinations of food in the living room."
"Too late," he muttered, standing up with her. "I saw a bowl of soup floating past me twenty minutes ago."
Shaking her head with laughter, she led him to the table, her heart full of love for this man.
Her dramatic, fasting, softie husband.

Yoo! Can u make a fic where marmoush and his girl are enjoying Ramadan together and she takes him to visit places he misses and then they act all cute once they get home. Thank youu! x!
CAIRO

all the images were taken from pinterest.
pairing: omar marmoush x reader!
a/n: sorry for taking so long to post, but it was necessary 😭 hope you like it ;)
requests are open | check here my masterlist
Omar was relaxed, his head was on your lap and he was trying desperately not to fall asleep, but it was almost impossible. Your hands ran through your hair delicately. He loves it, he loves being with you.
And you both needed to rest, you left Manchester for the Egyptian capital a few hours ago. Arriving in Cairo was tiring, all you did when you got home was take off your sneakers and lie down on the couch.
But there are only a few minutes left until iftar, the app you use has already notified you that the sun is setting and it is almost time to break the fast.
"Do you want to eat anything specific?" You asked Marmoush.
"No, I'll eat whatever you want to eat." His sleepy voice made you smile.
"Are you willing to go out to eat?" He rubbed his eyes as you asked. "I want to take you to a place."
He opened his eyes a little.
"Where?"
You smiled.
"Surprise."
Marmoush snorted, pretending to be unhappy with your proposal. But he would do anything for you.
"Let's get up, it's almost time for iftar."
This is your first time in Egypt during Ramadan. Today's visit was motivated by Marmoush's call-up to the Egyptian national team, the three of you will stay here until he joins the Egyptian training centre and you return to Manchester.
Do you remember how special it was, visiting Cairo for the first time accompanied by Marmoush. He introduced you to every favorite place in the city where he was born, places you know he misses.
The return to Cairo made you want to take him back to those places. Marmoush loves taking you to places you like and doing the same for him would make you happy.
"Shall we go?" You held his hand before you walked out the front door.
Marmoush nodded and followed behind you.
The streets of Zamalek were full, cars and people were walking around. Marmoush's favorite restaurant was on the way, but before going there they passed by a park that was on the way. Surrounding the Nile River.
"Wow, long time no see." Marmoush he said as he leaned against the wall. He took a deep breath, relieved.
"My favorite place, I was delighted when you brought me here." You said as you felt Marmoush kiss the top of your head.
The silence that remained was pleasant and made you and Marmoush feel calm, as if life outside of there didn't exist.
"Do you want to go or stay a little longer?" You turned to face him, adjusting the collar of his shirt.
"I wish I could stay longer, but I'm so hungry."
You chuckled seeing the drama he created.
"Let's go then."
Once again you guided Marmoush and it didn't take long for you to reach the restaurant. You laughed when you saw the face he made when you got there, he was surprised.
"Did you manage to make the reservation at such short notice?"
"Yes. But thanks to you, they went crazy when I gave your name to reserve the tables."
You were taken to the upper part of the restaurant, again you were facing the Nilon River.
"Your city is very beautiful." You commented as you admired the hustle and bustle below.
"I'm a handsome guy who was born in a beautiful city and has a very beautiful fiancée."
"You are silly and conceited." You Smiled "But you're right, you are beautiful."
You and Marmoush had a nice dinner. It was visible in Marmoush's eyes that he was happy to be there, to be in a place he loves the most accompanied by you, the person he loves the most.
"Thank you for today."
The way back home was smooth, Marmoush was holding hands with you.
"I'll do anything for you, baby boy."
One more kiss on the top of the head.
"I love you."
He gave you a kiss.
"I love you too, always and forever."

Ramadan Fasting Headcanons because I said so:
You're probably expecting me to say Zane spends hours putting together a big, elaborate iftar spread. And you're right, he does, he's a one-man potluck and its fantastic. BUT. He is also a diehard believer in the importance of breakfast, so he puts in just as much effort - if not more - into making delectable suhoors for everyone. He'll wake up hours in advance to make a full meal with carefully measured out health proportions to make sure they all get enough protein, fiber, etc to sustain them through the day.
....unfortunately, half of the team doesn't even eat it.
Cole and Wu are probably the only people who fully appreciate and eat Zane's fancy suhoors. Wu because he usually wakes up that early anyways and sometimes helps Zane out with it, and Cole because he has a healthy respect for all things food.
Kai, however, rebukes the fancy suhoor that was specially crafted to maximize health and energy, because he insists he knows a Better Way. Is convinced all he needs is a protein shake to get him through the day. Inevitably burns out by Asr and has to sleep the rest of the day, but is unwilling to swallow his pride and admit that maybe his method isn't working.
Jay is constantly oversleeping and ends up missing suhoor. Like, almost every morning. Even when they wake him up, he still winds up falling back asleep a few minutes later. Yes, he's a big baby about it.
Nya also forgets suhoor a lot, but not because she slept through it. She's usually working on some project or other and accidentally skips it unless Pixal comes down and reminds her. You would never know she missed suhoor by how she acts though - or really that she's fasting at all.
To that matter, you would never know she had broken her fast for her period. She completely stealths it.
Lloyd sometimes hides in his room eating junk food and sugar (and an absurd amount of candy) for suhoor instead of anything healthy. Zane inevitably catches him about half the time and drags him down to the kitchen for something more substantial.
Lloyd forgets and accidentally slips up a lot. But he always feels really bad about it, so everyone just pretends they didn't see anything.
Wu also forgets a lot, usually by accidentally drinking tea out of habit, but they know better than to tease him about it.
Wu also goes easy on them during this month, letting up on training aside from some early-morning warmups to keep them in shape.
Cole is the King of Naps. He is constantly nagging everyone to take naps, slow down, go easy, and lay down for a while. Once he's down for his afternoon nap, you Will Not see any trace of him until Iftar - at which point he will mysteriously spawn in the kitchen the very second the adthan goes off.
They manage their crime-fighting schedule around who has the best energy at what time of day. Kai and Jay are always the first to crash so they take a shift earlier in the day. Cole and Zane both go in the afternoon, right before Cole's nap. And then Nya and Lloyd are on patrol right before iftar, because they feel like having food around the corner motivates them to give that extra little push.
Jay, meanwhile, was already in the kitchen half an hour ago, impatiently waiting for it to be time for iftar - and complaining to Zane every few minutes that it smells so good, why can't he just eat it nowwwww
Pixal often helps Zane with iftar, and will make all sorts of passive aggressive comments to Jay until he "offers" to set the table. These comments all go over Zane's head, of course, so he's just pleasantly surprised to see one of his friends taking extra initiative with meal prep.
Kai usually gets a second wind right before iftar, and will go on a nice little evening jog right before. Zane insists he pack dates and water with him in case he's not back in time to break his fast, but he almost always is.
The question of whether being a nindroid technically counts as a medical exemption is the source of frequent theological debate around the dinner table. They eventually concluded it is, since nindroids do not synthesize food into energy and therefore fasting doesn't really have any point to it - but Pixal took this as a challenge and has since been trying to find a way to re-engineer herself with the ability to eat.
#this post is brought to you by: i slept through suhoor this morning and now im projecting it onto the blorbos#ninjago#destiny post

LADS Ramadan Headcanons
As I physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally cope with abstaining from horny posting this month, here are some Ramadan headcanons for the boys, both general and romantic And Ramadan Mubarak for all the fellow LaDS girlies who will also be partaking this month <3
Xavier:
He's the type to routinely leave the iftar prep for exactly 1 hour before iftar because he thinks he can totally do it in 1 hour (he can't) . But whether the food is edible is another story.
This means you eat out a lot more together (all according to his master plan).
You cannot get him to wake up for suhur if his life depended on it. He is raw dogging it. No suhur we die like men.
He will buy you 10 different Ramadan calendars, and they will all hang on your fridge
He's sleepier when he's hungry and you'll find him napping during the day and fully alert at night. He shifts like 10 different time zones.
He is 100 times more clingy and jealous while fasting. He has a hard time masking his emotions and will be wanting to spend every single moment with you.
You and him regularly have supermarket dates and end up buying everything because everything looks tastier while fasting.
Zayne:
Not only will he wake up for suhur but he will not let you sleep through suhur.
And it won't be a small suhur, it will be a full breakfast. You will start the fast with a healthy meal.
He has all the fun facts about the health benefits of fasting ready to go.
He makes sure you don't shock your body at iftar by reminding you not to stuff your face immediately after maghreb athaan. Instead he advises you to start with a small date and follow it with water.
He does not skip a beat even while fasting. He is operating at 100% and you could not even tell he's fasting.
Whips out the qatayef immediately after iftar. You cannot deny him his sweet treat after iftar even if you wanted to (and why would you want to do that, you monster?)
He's the model Muslim. Will pray taraweeh at the mosque every night, and he's the one to remind you when laylat el qadr is so you can get your prayers in.
Rafayel:
Will be so grumpy about it but he cannot skip suhur or he will be 200% more irritable during the day.
Surprisingly more productive because he's painting to distract himself from the hunger.
Most likely to ask you 20 times a day "How long until sunset?" And he's upset no matter what your answer is. "Four whole hours? That's literally torture. What if I die before then?"
He greatly enjoys cooking together with you and getting the table ready for iftar. He treats each iftar like a fancy dinner party, arranging the table very artfully.
His retail therapy gets worse when he's hungry. He will look at his empty online shopping cart and go "Just one more thing. As a treat. I've earned it."
His house will be THE MOST decorated for Ramadan. He will pull out all the stops -- lights, streamers, banners, signs -- literally everything he can display, he will display.
Sylus:
Has to suffer not only your whining but Luke and Kieran's whining about how hungry you are and how far away sunset is, and does it with so much patience.
He is already a night owl, so he's relatively unaffected. His meals tend to coincide with Iftar and suhur already. He even wakes you up for suhur so you can eat together before he goes to bed.
That being said, he would not leave you alone to prepare iftar. He will absolutely wake up earlier to help you prep if you need it.
He's most likely to make sure you are completely pampered while fasting, not lifting a single finger--even going as far as hiring an entire staff to tend to your daily tasks for you, so you can put your feet up whether you like it or not.
Struggles the most to keep it halal during the month of Ramadan. He lives by the "what happens while the sun is down doesn't count" loophole. Onychinus isn't gonna run itself, after all.
He has Mephisto bug you after sunset to make sure you are drinking enough water because he will NOT suffer his beautiful and amazing partner passing out from dehydration while doing their intensive job as a deepspace hunter.
Caleb:
He doesn't technically skip suhur, but he also stays up until before dawn, has a snack, and then goes to bed. He's part of the "chronically sleep deprived during Ramadan" gang.
He's cooking all your favorite foods for you for iftar. The smells coming from the kitchen just before iftar are hard to resist.
Does not miss a gym day even while fasting. His stamina seems to be supernatural.
With all the time spent waiting to eat, you and Caleb are able to breeze through your backlog of movies and shows you've been wanting to binge-watch together.
He is racing you to the mosque. Praying taraweeh is a competition and he intends to win.
He WILL brag every single day about how he's not even hungry and how fasting is a breeze for him. But only because it annoys you and he thinks you're cute when you're pissed off at him.

Celebrating Ramadan With Ace and Deuce
Platonic Ace x muslim!fem!reader x Deuce
Masterlist
First of all these boys would be so accommodating with you if you’re a muslim
They’d try to learn as much as they could about your religion either from you or asking a few Scarabian students.
They’d even ask the Scarabian students for things like lunar calendars or tasbihs or travelling prayer mats in case you need one
They do their best to make sure you’re comfortable if you’re the type that has issues being too close with the opposite gender, always making sure to keep a respectable distance between you and ensuring that the rest of the student body do the same
If you want to pray, they’d just wordlessly use their bags as your sutrah and basically be your bodyguards until you’re done
Also, for the hijabi girlies, they’d be so respectful. If your hair starts to show they’d avert their eyes quicker than you could blink and inform you. If anyone bothers you or looks at you in a way that you’re not comfortable with, they’d be decked onto the floor in a flash.
You bet they would have a few spare hijab pins or carry an extra shawl in case of emergencies
Anyway, back to Ramadan
So when you tell them about fasting, they’d first get all shocked. Poor Deuce is besides himself thinking that you’ll be starving yourself for a whole month before you elaborate on how it’s just from sunrise to sunset and then explain the spiritual significance for it.
Not going to lie, these guys are so the type to be like “you can’t even drink water?? 🙃”
They’re both super proud of you and are just in constant awe of your strength
I feel like they’d want to do it with you as a show of unity, and to help you with your homesickness, but since they’re both athletes (especially with Deuce being in such a high stamina/adrenaline sport like Track and Field), you suggest that they start with half fasts to ease themselves into it
(also props to everyone that still works out during fasting hours - you’re all incredible and absolute superheroes. My mum goes to the gym practically every morning and I’m still amazed every time.)
Also, when you’re doing your make up fasts to compensate for the ones you missed due to mother nature, you bet they’ll be right by your side fasting with you
I bet Deuce would feel genuinely offended if someone ate in front of you. Like he’d just stare at someone as if they’re smuggling contraband instead of just munching on their sandwich.
They make sure to do as much as you can so you could rest as much as possible. They set the table for iftar and suhoor (they even get up before you and wake you up), and do the cleaning up whilst you go to pray
Food usually comes from Sam’s shop or Trey (I don’t remember how they were during the culinary crucible but I really wouldn’t want those two in my kitchen before iftar whilst I’m fasting)
They’re always carrying your bag/things and practically never leave your side. Ramshackle is practically their second home at this point.
They love to learn more about your practices, especially traditions that you would do back home and you feel so loved to share that with them. You even teach them arabic (which ends with you getting a stern talking to from Jamil when Ace practices your lessons during basketball club)
Having a henna night with them would be so fun, just listening to nasheeds as you apply henna to both yourself and your best friends (who would take it so seriously and make such a noticeable effort to stay completely still until it dries and it’s both endearing and hilarious)
Okay but one time my sister fell asleep on her hand with henna on it and she woke up the next morning with a faded orange matching pattern on her cheek and that totally happens to Ace
They would totally (with Scarabia’s help) decorate Ramshackle with lights and lanterns to make it all festive
Just the two of them acting as your family in this strange new world 💛

Ramadan with You - Sylus × Muslim Reader fanfic
The evening air was crisp as Sylus stepped onto the porch, finally home after weeks away in London. He had rushed to wrap up his business before Ramadan—there was no way he was spending his first Ramadan after marriage with you apart.
As he reached the front door, he paused, hearing your soft voice from inside.
“…And don’t forget the rose sherbet,” you told the chefs. “It’s a must-have for iftar. I always make it alongside samosas and dates. Oh! And my special chickpea salad.”
A small smile tugged at Sylus’s lips. You always put so much love into iftar—the meal to break the fast. The warmth in your voice made his heart swell.
That’s when an idea struck him.
If Ramadan was this important to you, then he would make it even more special.
The next morning, while you were in your room, Sylus set his plan in motion.
He woke up early, called the head chef, and gave his instructions. “Take the day off. I’ll be making iftar today.”
The chef hesitated. “Sir, are you sure?”
“Yes,” Sylus said firmly. “I want to do this for her.”
Once alone in the kitchen, Sylus moved with quiet precision. There was no mess—everything was done with care and efficiency. He followed your handwritten recipe book, making sure every dish was prepared exactly the way you liked.
Crisp samosas, fresh fruit chaat, warm lentil soup, and, of course, the rose sherbet you loved so much. Every dish was plated neatly, the kitchen as spotless as ever.
By sunset, the table was beautifully set, filled with his carefully prepared dishes.
When you finally came downstairs, expecting to see the chefs, you instead overheard Luke and Kieran talking near the kitchen.
“Boss actually did all this?” Kieran asked in disbelief.
Luke chuckled. “Yeah. Didn’t let anyone help. He wanted it to be perfect for her.”
Your heart skipped a beat.
Curious, you stepped into the kitchen—and stopped in shock.
Sylus stood there, wearing the pink crow-themed apron you had gifted him, his sleeves neatly rolled up, looking as composed as ever. The table was filled with a beautifully arranged iftar spread, and not a single thing was out of place.
Your eyes widened, emotions welling up in your chest.
“Sylus…” You looked at him, stunned. “You… you did all this?”
He turned to you with a soft smile. “Yes, kitten. It’s our first Ramadan together, and I wanted to make it special for you.” His gaze held warmth as he asked, “Did I do okay?”
Your chest ached with love. But instead of answering, you ran into his arms, hugging him tightly.
Sylus let out a deep chuckle, wrapping his arms around you. “I take that as a yes?”
You pulled back slightly, eyes filled with admiration. This man—so powerful, so composed, yet so deeply thoughtful—had done something so heartfelt, just for you.
You cupped his face gently, your fingers tracing the sharp edges of his jaw. “Sylus, you amaze me,” you whispered. “You’re not just the man I love—you’re the kind of man people pray for. You make everything in my life feel like a blessing, and today… you made Ramadan feel like a dream.”
A flicker of emotion crossed his face, something deep and raw. Then, a slow, satisfied smirk curved his lips. “Careful, kitten. Keep talking like that, and I might never let you go.”
As the adhan (the Islamic call to prayer) echoed softly through the room, marking the end of the fast, you both sat down together for iftar. You closed your eyes for a moment, whispering a silent prayer.
Ya Allah (God), let me spend every Ramadan with him.
Then, together, you broke your fast with dates and water.
Taking your first bite of the food Sylus had made, your eyes widened in delight. “Sylus… this is amazing.”
He leaned back slightly, watching you with a satisfied smirk. “Better than the chefs?”
You hummed, savoring each bite. “Maybe…”
Sylus arched a brow. “Only maybe?”
You giggled, taking another bite before setting your plate down. Then, without warning, you hugged him tightly. “Well my personal chef cooks better than the chefs, Thank you, Sylus. You made my Ramadan extra special.”
Sylus kissed your forehead, his voice soft and full of love. “No, kitten. You make every day special for me.”
And in that moment, with the warmth of his embrace and the joy of your first Ramadan together, you knew this was a memory you would cherish forever.

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫
Parings → Peter Parker x Muslim! Reader
Warnings → Fasting, Religious Themes (Islam & Ramadan), Light Humor, Fluff.
Summary → Peter fasts with you for the first time, struggling with hunger but learning patience, gratitude, and the deeper meaning of Ramadan.
A/n : This one is specially for all my Muslim friends out there. I hope I’ve done justice to the experience of Ramadan. I also hope everyone enjoys reading it!

Peter slumped onto the couch, looking at you with the biggest, most pitiful puppy eyes.
"How… how do you do this every year?" He whined, clutching his stomach. "I mean, I get it—fasting, it’s all noble and stuff. But… it’s hard!"
You bit back a laugh, patting his arm as you sat down beside him. "It’s really not as bad as you’re making it sound, Peter. Plus, it’s good for us. Fasting is a way to practice patience, remember?"
Peter groaned, dropping his head onto your shoulder dramatically. "I know, I know, you’ve told me like a million times. I just… I didn’t know patience was going to feel like this. You make it look so easy, and I’m sitting here counting every minute until we can eat."
You smiled softly, brushing his messy curls back. “Well, fasting isn’t just about being hungry, Pete. It’s about remembering how lucky we are that we have food to look forward to. There are people out there who don’t know when their next meal is coming.”
Peter’s eyes softened as he listened, leaning in just a little closer. “I get that. I really do. But it’s also about… um, getting closer to Allah, right?”
“Exactly.” You nodded, happy he remembered. “It’s a time to focus on praying, asking for forgiveness, and becoming a better person. Fasting helps us focus on what really matters and reminds us that everything we have is a blessing. We’re not just training our bodies but also our hearts and minds.”
Peter was quiet for a moment, the weight of your words settling over him. Then, he broke the silence with a sigh. "You’re so wise. Meanwhile, I’m sitting here thinking about the food… which is probably not the point, huh?"
You chuckled, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. “It’s your first time, Peter. You’ll get used to it. And besides, you’ve made it almost the whole day without breaking your fast. That’s pretty amazing.”
He shot you a grin, although there was still a hint of desperation in his eyes. “Thanks, but I think I’m hanging on by a thread. Every time I smell the food, my resolve cracks just a little bit more. Do you think I’ll be this dramatic every day?”
“Oh, absolutely,” you teased. “But that’s okay. You’re doing your best, and that’s what matters.”
He sighed, falling back against the couch and closing his eyes, as if conserving energy. “Okay, so remind me of the plan again… we break our fast with dates?”
“Right! Eating dates first is Sunnah—it’s what the Prophet used to do. Dates have natural sugars, which help replenish your energy quickly.”
Peter nodded, impressed. “Makes sense. You really know a lot about this.”
“Well, I’ve been fasting since I was a kid, so it’s just something I grew up with,” you replied, giving his shoulder a comforting pat. “Don’t worry, Pete, you’re doing fine. You’re here, trying, and that’s enough.”
Peter looked up at you with a soft smile, the hunger in his eyes briefly replaced with affection. “You know, I think that’s my favorite part. I mean, if I have to be hungry, at least I get to be hungry with my amazing wife. It makes it feel…more meaningful.”
You smiled, feeling your heart warm at his words. "Well, I’m glad I can be a part of it with you."
Then, suddenly, his eyes flicked to the clock. “How long now?”
“Just a couple more minutes,” you replied, laughing softly. “You’ve got this.”
Peter clutched his stomach again. “Easy for you to say. I feel like I’ve aged five years.”
Finally, the sound of the adhan drifted through the room, signaling the time for iftar. Peter’s eyes lit up instantly, and he practically bolted to the table.
“Wait, Peter!” You laughed, following him. “Eat the dates first, remember?”
“I know, I know,” he replied, grabbing a date with an eager grin.
The table was already set, a delicious spread waiting for the both of you. There were dates, a steaming bowl of chicken soup, fresh samosas, a small plate of cut fruit, and warm bread with hummus on the side. You’d even prepared a few homemade pakoras, and Peter’s eyes lit up when he saw them.
He bit into the date with an audible sigh of relief, practically melting with each bite. “This… this date is amazing,” he mumbled, as if he hadn’t eaten a date before in his life.
You shook your head, laughing as you joined him at the table. “That’s what hunger will do to you. Makes everything taste like the best thing in the world.”
Peter smiled at you, a little sheepish. “Thank you. For being patient with me today.”
“Anytime, honey,” you replied softly, reaching for his hand. “I’m glad we could do this together.”
With that, you both started your iftar, the warmth of the food and the comfort of each other’s company making it one of the most memorable moments you’d shared.

How i assume the avengers (and other mcu characters) would act during ramadan
Peter: throws himself into schoolwork and spiderman to distract himself and is probably late to iftar because he's patrolling. He's already bought everyone's eid gifts a week before ramadan starts.
MJ: gets really quietly angry until iftar time and glares at people when they talk to her. The smallest thing sets her off
Ned: that one friend who decides to fast in solidarity but gives up when he finds out "no, not even water"
Tony: locks himself in his lab. Is he awake? Is he working? No one knows but you won't see him until iftar where he's really grumbly
Pepper: probably plans multiple iftar gatherings throughout the month. Is very calm and collected but occasionally she goes into her office and screams for 5 minutes
Thor: sleeps through the day until it's time to break his fast but wakes up to pray in between
Loki: wakes people up or calls people to the table 20 minutes before oftar to break the news that "it's not actually time yet i just wanted you to see your faces when i said this"
Steve: bakes or cooks excessively so he doesn't lose it on anyone. Polices people's swearing and probably reminds everyone to pray 😭
Sam: picks fights with everyone and watches Steve bake/cook
Bucky: watches Steve bake/cook with sam and they both race to break their fast with whatever he baked
Wanda: watches mukbangs and sends Steve tiktok iftar recipes she wants him to make
Natasha: convinces everyone to play board games to test their patience but gets mad and flips the board if she loses
Yelena: is extremely hyped and has started hinting at what she wants for eid. She bought everyone eid gifts already and they're wrapped and ready in her room
Clint: sleeps in the vents to avoid accidentally breaking his fast (he forgets he's fasting)
Bonus: Steve probably leads taraweh, holds Quran reading sessions 😭
Lmk if you guys like these and I'll do more

Ramadan is not the same for everyone...
Ramadan is never the same. We see a difference every year. Some of us see our parents growing weaker as they sit at the table. Others see an empty chair, a constant reminder of the pain and grief of losing a loved one. Some simply sit with heavy hearts, unable to speak a word. Some of us are far from family, having our Iftar alone.
Ramadan is not the same for everyone. Some of us tire of eating the same foods every day. There are those who wait for food, unable to have Suhoor. Some of us buy a cart full of groceries, while others carry a loved one on a cart to their Janazah.
Ramadan is not the same for everyone, but we all make duās to the same God. The least we can do is pray for them as we pray for ourselves.
