Do you ever feel like SHIT? Like life is moving so fast, and you’re stuck, tired, or completely drained? cuz same 🙋🏻‍♀️. That’s why I started looking into Japanese and Chinese habits—because I'm searching for slow down type of lifestyle, finding balance, and creating small moments of peace in the dawm chaos. Now, I know some of y’all will say, 'It’s overrated, you’re just obsessed with China or Japan,' but hear me out these habits aren’t about trends—they’re rooted in centuries and they’ve genuinely helped me improve both physically and mentally. If you’re ready to stop just surviving and start thriving, keep reading. These little changes might just change your life too.
Little Habits, Big Glow: Japanese & Chinese Traditions That Changed My Life
First off, warm water in the MORNING. I used to roll out of bed and go straight for coffee or cold ass water cuz my throat is DRYYYY , and honestly, my body hated me for it fr. But then I read about how in Chinese medicine, drinking warm water first thing in the morning is seen as a way to wake up your body gently. And let me tell you, IT WORK. No bloating, no sluggishness—just a simple, calming way to start the day. Sometimes I add a slice of lemon, and it feels like I’m doing something kind for my body before I even check my phone
Two Ikigai.( I talked Abt Ikigai and how to achieve this concept click here!) Japanese concept changed the way I see my day-to-day life. It’s basically finding purpose in the little things—like, not waiting for some huge life-changing moment to feel fulfilled. I used to put so much pressure on myself, thinking I needed to achieve these massive goals to be happy. But Ikigai taught me to slow down and find joy in small things, like enjoying my morning tea or journaling. It’s a game-changer for anyone who feels like they’re always chasing something bigger.
Another thing I’ve started doing is Tai Chi or qing gong. I know I know—it looks slow and kind of boring, but hear me out. It’s like moving meditation, and if you’re someone who struggles with anxiety (like meeey), this will center you like nothing else. It’s not about burning calories or anything like that; it’s about connecting your body and mind in the most peaceful way. Even just 10 minutes a day leaves me feeling lighter and more focused. (Click here to watch a video of it) When I first started, I thought, 'This is way too slow for me.' But then something clicked. The slowness is the point. It forces you to focus on your breathing, your posture, and every little movement. It’s like a moving meditation that clears your mind while strengthening your body.

all about mobility
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
what is mobility & how is it different from flexibility?
mobility is the ability of the joints to move through their full range of motion, while flexibility is the ability of the muscles to temporarily stretch.
why do mobility training?
there are many different benefits of mobility training, including:
increased flexibility
reduced risk of injury
improving joint & muscle health
improving range of motion
improving posture
gaining muscle strength
balance & stability
reducing pain & stiffness in the body
when should i start?
now! there’s a common misconception that you shouldn’t need mobility training until you are in your later years and your mobility starts to decline, but mobility training is useful no matter your age. in fact, the sooner you start, the less mobility & joint problems you will experience as you age.
how often should i train mobility?
mobility training is safe and beneficial to do daily, but ideally, you should try to train mobility at least 5 times per week for at least 5-10 minutes each time.

Improving Strength, Size, & Performance with Loaded Carry Drills
Tumblr media
10 Tips for Loaded Carries
1. Maintain proper gait alignment throughout by having the feet perfectly straight (or very slightly internally rotated) and semi-inline.  This maximizes torque into the floor, stability, and body alignment while minimizing energy leaks. Imagine walking on a thick 6-inch line throughout. In other words, there should not be a larger lateral gap between the legs or feet when walking.
 2. Keep full body tension throughout the duration of the carry.
 3. Maintain tall posture with the shoulders pulled down and slightly back and the head tall (not pushed forward).
 4. Brace the daylights out of the abs and core. More about core & ab training here.
 5. Walk smoothly without jerky motions. Imagine you’re carrying a cup of water on your head during the loaded carry and try not to spill any.
 6. Try not to take long lumbering steps.  Instead focus on smaller, more compact, quicker steps.
 7. Go barefoot or wear minimalist shoes to achieve maximal foot and ankle activation which will optimize recruitment up the kinetic chain.
8. Don’t use wrist straps. Instead, strengthen your grip by squeezing the daylight of the weights.
 9. Use chalk when necessary such as during the heaviest sets where grip is obviously the limiting factor.
10. Don’t use a weightlifting belt. Instead, use your core musculature to stabilize your spine.

Non-Aesthetic Fitness and Health Goals 🏃🏼‍♀️🥥🧘🏼‍♀️
Tumblr media
Here are some health and wellness goals that don’t revolve around weight or appearances. Working out should always be for your health and well-being rather than looks. You have one body and you have to be able to make it last. Your body is the house where your soul lives.
To be able to fully touch your toes.
To run a mile nonstop (doesn’t matter the pace just to not stop)
Do a handstand
To be able to do the splits
10 regular push-up
10 pull ups unassisted
To be able to swim a mile nonstop (same as the running)
To have good posture and core strength
Walk/jog a 5k
To be able to lift half your body weight (great goal to build up to and very practical for real life)
To get off the ground without using your hands (amazing for as you age being able to get up easier)
Be able to balance on one foot for a minute at a time.
To be able to sit in an Asian squat (great for mobility in all your leg joints)
To reduce joint pain. (Depending on the specific joint pain it can be caused by lack of strength in the muscles around the leg and you can look up specific workouts for your problem)
To improve in your chosen sport
That’s all I have for now. I wanted these goals to be attainable (some are easier than others) and not based on how you look because not only is it discouraging but it’s also not as fun to only think about looks. These goals are also great for longevity of your body and also safety. Being strong and fit is a privilege. Let me know if you guys have any questions!

We got Dream BBQ Salesman Ena x Reader
Can we get Meanie Ena please? 👀 if it's possible of course ^-^
Tumblr media
•☽────✧˖°˖ YOU NOT THE SAME ˖°˖✧────☾•
★ Summary: A Compilation of Headcannons Featuring Meanie Ena X Reader
★ Character(s): Meanie Ena (ENA: Dream BBQ)
★ Genre: Headcannons, SFW
★ Warning(s): None - Completely Safe!
Tumblr media
☆ The Meanie side of Ena doesn’t need to raise her voice to make her point—one sharp look from her half-lidded eye, and the air suddenly feels ten degrees colder. If she does speak? Expect clipped, decisive words, each syllable carrying the weight of a no-nonsense lecture you will be absorbing whether you like it or not.
☆ Precision in everything. Her movements are clean and calculated, deliberate in a way that makes it clear she’s thought through her next three steps before she’s even taken one. No wasted energy, no excess motion. Even her sighs sound perfectly measured—just enough exasperation to get her point across, no more, no less.
☆ Absolutely allergic to nonsense. Salesperson Ena may be all smiles and deals, but Meanie Ena is the no-nonsense supervisor of whatever disaster is unfolding. If you present her with a ridiculous idea, she will pinch the bridge of her nose and take a deep breath like she’s summoning the patience of a saint. Then she’ll tell you exactly why it’s ridiculous.
☆ A walking contradiction. For someone who seems so strict, Meanie Ena somehow always knows how to keep everything in balance. She scolds, but never cruelly. She criticizes, but only to push for improvement. She doesn’t tolerate nonsense, but she’ll allow a little foolishness if it’s harmless—just don’t expect her to smile about it.
☆ Soft on you in ways you don’t even notice. She’s still herself, of course—stern, cutting, always on your case—but somehow, she always makes sure you’re eating properly. That you’re resting. That you’re learning. You think she’s just nagging you to be annoying? Look closer—there’s always a reason.
☆ Firm, but fair. If she ever raises her voice, it’s never out of uncontrolled anger—only when it’s necessary, only when she needs to be heard. She never threatens, never makes empty promises. She tells you what needs to be done, and she expects you to do it. Simple as that.
☆ Has a signature way of crossing her arms. It’s always the same—one hand pressed against her side, the other loosely resting atop her opposite elbow. It’s the posture of someone who’s listening, but also clearly unimpressed with whatever they’re hearing. She doesn’t need words to express exactly what she’s thinking.
☆ “That sounds like a you problem.” She’s not one to coddle. If you make a bad decision, she expects you to deal with the consequences. That doesn’t mean she won’t help—but she’ll make sure you understand why you ended up in this situation first. A learning experience, as she calls it.
☆ The rarest thing in the world: Meanie Ena laughing. It happens so infrequently that it almost feels like a glitch in reality when it does. It’s never over anything obvious—it’s always a dry, quiet chuckle at something ironic or unexpectedly clever. And when it happens, it’s over in an instant, like a shooting star in the night.
☆ Beneath it all? She cares. She’ll never say it outright, but her actions speak louder than words. She’s the one making sure you don’t embarrass yourself. She’s the one standing between you and disaster when you don’t even realize you’re walking into one. She’s the one making sure things get done. Maybe she’s strict. Maybe she’s sharp-tongued. But she is never unkind.

Barefoot Shoes
When it comes to footwear, comfort and functionality are key. That's why barefoot shoes have gained popularity in recent years. But what exactly are barefoot shoes, and why should men and women consider making the switch? In this blog post, we will explore the benefits of barefoot shoes and how they can improve your overall foot health.
What are barefoot shoes?
Barefoot shoes, also known as minimalist shoes, are designed to mimic the feeling of walking barefoot while still providing some protection and support. These shoes have a thin sole and a wide toe box, allowing your feet to move and flex naturally. They are lightweight and flexible, providing a more natural walking experience.
Improved foot strength and flexibility
One of the main benefits of barefoot shoes is that they help improve foot strength and flexibility. Traditional shoes with thick soles and narrow toe boxes can restrict the natural movement of your feet. Barefoot shoes, on the other hand, allow your feet to move and flex as they were meant to, which can help strengthen the muscles in your feet and lower legs.

pilates workout | ushijima, hq
𓂃𓂃𓂃𓊝 ࿐𓂃𓂃𓂃
content: ushijima asks you for help on improving his core and balance
warnings: timeskip!ushijima x reader, established relationship, just a tad suggestive, fluff
characters: ushijima
word count: 502
a/n: you can tell how much i've been thinking about this😅...ushijima’s muscles go brrrrrr
𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟
“Toshi—no, you have to tighten your core more.”
You were determined to support your boyfriend, so when he asked for advice on strengthening his core and enhancing his balance, you took it as your mission. You were aware of Ushijima’s resolve and aimed to match it.
“Mm,” he grumbled, acknowledging your guidance as he adjusted his arms, moving back into the planking position.
Despite his incredible strength, the strain in his muscles was visible as he struggled to maintain his posture. His wide shoulders trembled slightly, and sweat trickled down his temple.
Circling him, you focused on making sure his workout was effective. “C’mon, just thirty more seconds. Keep your arms straight.”
As his hips began to sag again, you sighed lightly and crouched beside him. Gently, you placed your hands on his waist, feeling the warmth of his skin. “Here, like this,” you said softly, guiding his hips back into position.
His quietness was telling, the occasional nod indicated he was taking in your instructions. You could sense the effort in his muscles.
“I should add this to my workout schedule,” he stated, his voice steady despite the exertion.
“To spend more time with you,” he added sincerely.
Leaning in, you whispered, “I’d like that.” His words pulling on your heartstrings.
Your hands stayed on him a little longer as you looked into his olive-green eyes.
The sound of your phone alarm shattered the moment. Yet, the warm feeling lingered even after you turned it off.
Ushijima gently reclined on the yoga mat, the fabric sticking to his sweaty skin. He lay flat on his back, drawing deep, steady breaths. His powerful arms moved behind his head, veins bulging as he began to cool down.
You brought him a small, white towel and crouched near his head. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, you leaned in closer, pressing a quick, affectionate kiss on his forehead.
“Your reward,” you whispered, smiling at him.
His eyes opened slowly, meeting yours with an intensity that quickened your pulse. His gaze traced your features, saying more than words could.
His chest rose and fell rhythmically, his body glistening under the soft light. The sight was mesmerizing as your peripheral vision caught a glimpse of his waistband, which hung low enough to reveal the two sculpted grooves that trailed even deeper down.
Ushijima reached up, the back of his hand brushing against your cheek. “Thank you,” he murmured.
“Anytime,” you replied softly, your heart racing as you hoped the warmth blossoming on your cheeks matched the heat of his hands.
There was a certain part of you, a hidden, daring side, that wanted to push him even further, just to see more of the sight of him now— sprawled out on the floor taking deep, heavy breaths.
A playful smirk crossed your face.
“What’s with the face, my love?” Ushijima’s deep voice pierced your bubble of thought.
“Oh! Nothing,” you assured him. “Now,” you clasped your hands together, “let’s continue, shall we?” you suggest, blinking innocently.

Vil Schoenheit
The lights are low in the auditorium, but a single spotlight follows your every move as your heels strike the stage with rhythmic force. The shawl you wear flows like flame, every twist of your body controlled, powerful. You’re performing for the school’s little fundraiser showcase, and the coins clink into the box at your feet with each dramatic pause.
Vil watches from the first row, arms crossed, expression unreadable, until the performance ends.
When the crowd claps, he rises slowly, walking backstage with practiced elegance.
“You’ve improved your balance,” he says without preamble. His eyes meet yours with that usual intensity. “The precision in your wrist flicks,it was captivating. But your posture during the zapateado was off by exactly two degrees. Fix that.”
You’re used to his critiques, but then he does something rare: he reaches out and adjusts your posture with his hands, gently, guiding your spine with his fingertips. His voice softens.
“Still... I couldn’t look away. You’re stunning when you dance.”
You feel warmth bloom in your chest. Vil may strive for perfection, but you’ve found he treasures raw passion too, especially when it’s yours.
Tumblr media
Rook Hunt
The courtyard is bathed in golden afternoon light, warm and honeyed, the perfect stage for your impromptu performance. You’ve laid down a piece of wood to protect your heels from the stone path, the castanets in your fingers clicking in perfect rhythm. Your body moves with grace and power, the sway of your hips hypnotic, your expression commanding.
Rook had promised he wouldn’t come today,he wanted to “preserve the mystery,” as he put it.
But you feel his presence before you even hear him.
When the final beat echoes and you dip into a dramatic pose, you spot the flash of his feathered hat behind the ivy-covered columns.
“Rook Hunt,” you call, turning with mock sternness, “You said you’d stay away.”
He strides toward you unabashedly, clapping slowly, his eyes gleaming with admiration. “Ma colombe ardente! You cannot expect me to resist such an irresistible performance. You are a storm of passion, a tempest in human form!”
You can’t help laughing. “You're lucky the students liked it,I made enough to afford actual lunch.”
He steps closer, lowering his voice to a theatrical whisper. “Forget lunch. I would pay a hundred coins just to witness your dance again. No stage, no crowd. Just us.”
You tilt your head. “You like watching me that much?"
“Mais oui. It is the raw truth in your movement, the soul in your song. You wear your spirit like a crown, and I—” he pauses, placing a hand over his heart dramatically, “—am but your loyal admirer. Helpless.”
You roll your eyes fondly, knowing that behind the poetry and theatrics, Rook means every word.
“I’ll let you be my private audience,” you offer, smiling. “But you bring the lunch next time.”
“Deal,” he says, already bowing low like a knight before a queen. “C’est un honneur.”

Epel Felmier
It’s nearly dusk when you find an empty classroom with a smooth wooden floor, perfect for some practice. You set up your music, lace your flamenco shoes, and start slow. The rhythm builds, and soon you’re stomping, spinning, singing under your breath. Every step echoes your strength. Every beat carries your pride.
You don’t notice Epel until you finish.
He’s standing awkwardly by the doorway, holding a bottle of apple juice and a little wrapped snack. His mouth is slightly open like he’s unsure what to say.
“That was... dang,” he mumbles finally. “That was real good.”
You grin, catching your breath. “You spying on me again?”
“I wasn’t spying!” he says quickly, cheeks red. “I was passing by, and then I saw you start dancing, and... I couldn’t look away.”
He shuffles closer, fiddling with the juice. “You looked strong. Not just pretty, but like... fierce. Like you’d knock someone out with a heel if they talked trash.”
You burst out laughing. “I have stepped on someone once.”
“I knew it!” He grins proudly like that’s the coolest thing ever. “No wonder the guys in my dorm say you’re kinda scary.”
“Scary?” you repeat, raising a brow.
“In a hot way!” he adds, panicking. “Like, badass scary!”
You laugh again, heart light. He sets down the juice and suddenly steps forward, puffing his chest out.
“Teach me?” he asks. “Just one step. I wanna be able to dance with you next time. Even if it’s just the basic stuff.”
You take his hand and guide him, showing him the footwork slowly. He messes up, almost trips, but doesn’t stop trying.
As the sun sets behind the windows, you two move awkwardly together in rhythm,a tiny, clumsy duet but one that makes you smile more than any stage performance ever has.
