The title refers to Miles,Percy and Jason.They're called 'The Anomalies' because they're 'not supposed to exist' and Miles was called one canonically,Percy was born from Poseidon breaking the pact and Jason was ressurected originally from Superboy Prime breaking reality.I came up with the idea of them being a team because i realized back when Atsv came out that with their personalities,they'd be best friends and need to be a trio to work together perfectly as Miles with Percy or Jason is interesting on it's own but better if it's all three of them and Percy and Jason becoming instant besties is ooc and insulting to their characters

Percy and Jason are monoracial afro-dominican and darkskin and they're all trans and audhd-Miles is transmascfem and uses that as his identity due to his experiences with gender as a black person,Jason is transmasc agender with left girl for yuri purposes and Percy is a trans woman who's name is short for Persephone.She named herself after the og as a thank you to her for giving her Metamorphose,food that's been blessed by Aphrodite to give the eater their ideal apperance and is basically hrt when it comes to trans people,and she's super voluptous with realistic muscles and fat

Percy also dyes her faded from gray to white streak sea blue to blend in the mortal world and Miles' and Jason's radioactive spider bite and Lazarus Pit dunk were their own hrt as they have the same effect Metamorphose does in that part.Percy and Miles are pastel punk but Miles leans more into the cutesy/kiddy aspects and Percy's more hardcore/closer to old school punk and Jason is goth punk and Percy's hair is a bit past her hips and she wears it naturally,Miles starts with her canon hairstyle but switches to dreads later on and Jason and her and dreadhead bros

Percy's earth is Earth 27 and Jason's earth is Prime Earth

They met post itsv but pre atsv,post hoo and toa dosen't exist and right after utrh so no og rhato either(everyone say thank you Miles for changing the timeline and saving us and Percy and Jason from that fuckery).Doc Ock came back to New York and literally smacked Miles into another dimension with a device she made,Percy was banished from her realm by the Olympians for her defiement of them at the same time and they both crashed into Jason on his motorcyle in his Red Hood gear just as he made it to the outskirts of Gotham as they shot out of their portals and into his life.After a bit of talking to figure out what was going on and who they were,Jason agreed to guide them since it was his dimension and instantly clicked with Miles but detested Percy and the reverse is also true as they only stuck together to stay with Miles at first

Until the slow burn burned and now they're ride or die best friends.Miles is on the same level to them as they are eachother and they're equally important to him too.Miles reminded Jason of his Robin self('You're like me......The me that died')and to Percy of Nico and she reminded Miles of Gwen and he thought Jason's losercore behavior was the funniest fucking shit so he kept him around for the bit and Jason and Percy clashed so hard because they're the same but foils in a way that leads to bickering unlike with Miles where it leads to soft interactions they don't do with most people

Miles ends up becoming a Blue Lantern as he gets a Power Ring by his friendship with Kyle and their side teamups and earns Apollo's blessing for his sheer artistic talent and earnest dedication to his art that made him actually cry like a baby as he gave it to him and Percy had to hold herself back from slashing him away from Miles and it gives him a blonde streak in his hair that ends up permanent but turns into a white streak with the intensity of the situation.He joins Young Justice as an honorary member too and as an adult,her hero name is 'Ultimate' both for being more sutible and gender neutrality since she's a boygirl that's fully settled into her identity

Percy is part kryptonian because Sally is and that's why her eyes change sea colors as she's an alien hybrid with her grandparents escaping Krypton just as it exploded and got sucked into a portal that led them to 27.She also ends up hosting Venom for a while and he's more scared of her than she is of him by the end.Clark acts as a fatherly mentor to her and even gives her and Sally(once she enters the picture)their own kryptonian names as 'Per-El' and 'Sal-El' but even before that,she makes her hero name 'Hydro' and dons the Superfam emblem on her costume and it's white with the rest of her costume being black and blue and it has a hood and a lower face mask like Stephanie's

Jason develops werewolf-esque spiderperson powers thanks to extensive exposure of Miles' spider dna to his Lazarus Pit dna making him mutate.He was pissed about it at first,especially with Percy's teasing and felt bad about Miles' distressed guilt but learned to control his new abilities and used 'Batspider' as a codename and modeled his costume after Miles' but with his own twists like his Spider symbol being cracked('Jason,you look like fucking Emo Elmo' '.......How would anyone be able to tell i'm black in this,Percy?????' 'Same way they do me and Miles.It's about the vibes').He's also a 'Greek Gadgeteer' aka he worked his ass off to be an expert on and collector of greek mythos items

Miles is found siblings with Percy and Jason.Percy and Jason however are a romantic couple-Yeah idc how much everybody hates this ship anymore,Jaypercy is REAL.Reluctant allies/frenemies to best friends to lovers and Miles threw them a little fake wedding when they got together after a loooong amount of pining and relathionship development

Team Mom Percy so true.She does her best to make sure they all eat good,sleep well,don't go out on missions with too bad of injuries,keep up their training and are reassured they're loved.Miles and Jason gladly return the favor(though Jason's more subtle about it)

Percy and Jason=Miles hype and defense squad

Percy enourages Miles to embrace his inner kid and eventually tells him one of the reason's for it is her own extremely lonely childhood that she dosen't wanna see him go through.That was the first time she'd been his first shoulder to cry on and they were closer than ever afterwards.He appreciated it a lot because he was getting at the age where it's considered innapropriate to act the way he does because it's 'childish' and it was upsetting him

Jason teaches Miles to chanel his anger in useful ways and to fight back instead of playing The Nice Normal GuyTM and Miles helps Jason be a better person just by existing and being his best friend and pseudo-little brother

Jason regularly uses Miles' head as an arm rest and has an arm slung around Percy's shoulder,both as affection but the latter also for protective reasons

Their nicknames for eachother are 'Girasolito' and 'Jaybat'(Percy),'Little Man' and 'Bluey'(Jason)and 'Campanilla' and 'Big Guy'(Miles)

They all have big white blob eyes in their costumes,including Jason with his helmet!!!Also,in superhero dimensions,masks and helmets and equivalents move with the wearers expression('H-How is your-' 'It's a superhero thing' '*Jason points in confirmation*')

They diy'd matching tops that say 'White Streak Gang'(Miles' is a sleeveless hoodie,Percy's is a crop top and Jason's is a baggy t-shirt)

They dubbed themselves 'The Anomalies' in-universe as reclamation against the ones who'd hurt them

CHAOTIC ASF EVEN OFF DUTY.Dairy Super trips at odd hours,saying the weirdest shit because they're just that open with eachother,fucking around with their powers and even more!!Their love language is being sweet freaks together

Misc stuff because most of my brainrot is of them but TA has existed for almost a year so the rest of the gang does get something too!!

They have a B-Team:The Abnormals,Peni,Hazel and Duke!!Duke is 15 and Robin as Bruce's adoptive son,Hazel got bitten by an interdimensional spider like Miles did and so she's Earth 27 Spiderwoman and nicknamed 'Pinkspider' who agreed to join Spider Society to find Percy and Peni is fresh out of her Canon Event when they meet at it and closer to her comics version.Duke ends up in Spider Society while dealing with Cironielian Chrysalis Eater who teleports him to it and that's how The Abnormals began as he knocked over Peni and Hazel trying to disentangle himself from goop the second Hazel realized she's a lesbian and has a crush on Peni.They become a super middle school friend group(despite being high school age LMAO)and do hero work together too,Duke is a reality warper,Peni is a cyborg with new body parts to replace the ones lost in Spidergeddon and Hazel's Spiderpowers are really horror based to match her macabe self.Penzel dosen't get together until they're both adults with their current dynamic a very chaste one

Stephanie becomes a mermaid shifter by Amphirite turning into one at her wish and her Atlantian-adjacent name is Stefano and she instantly hit it off with Percy,Gwen changes her name to 'Songspider' post-saving herself from 'Gwen Stacy always dies',Miles G retires from direct vigilantehood out of trauma to become their Guy In The Chair under 'Orpheus',Hobie mutates into having a supersonic voice by being with Percy all the time in her Venom days and dubs himself 'Punk Canary' the same way Jason did with Miles(including being like a big sister and her little brother)and Batspider,Thalia gains Speedster powers and names herself 'Shockstrike' as she pseudo-joins the Flashfam,Nico dosen't gain new powers but joins in as 'The Ghost Cape' because he wants to be with his sisters(meant to type 'The Ghost King' and came up with an actual legit moniker for him finally)and Jason is injected with the Wolverine X-gene and his codename is 'Wolv'.Gwen's half afro-dominican on her mom's side,Stephanie is jamaican-south korean,Nico is black monoracial and Beryl Grace was a snowbunny /hj

Technically there's also a C-Team but i'd only call it that because Cass is on it since she wants no connections to Jason and it's her-A Hades 27 legacy,Thalia,Nico and Hobie and they call themselves 'The Analogues'.I keep thinking Gwen should be a main Anomalies member but i love the Miles Percy Jason Trinity too much to add anyone else so her and the above gang are filed under Honorary Anomalies!!

Yara is Percy's soul sister and drops into the plot very often both seriously and just to hang

Aaaaaand Tim x Miles x Hobie is a thing!!!I can't stand Tim/Hobie for no reason so it's a vee relathionship!Tim is black/white mixed because i don't wanna insert a white boy into Punkflower and Timiles is a Zing Moment a la Hotel Transylvania and their following relathionship is just as goofy as that description

The Backstory:

You were a scientist who worked on studying the organic matter samples Colonel Jameson had brought to earth. Unfortunately, one of those samples was capable of a lot more movement than originally believed.

Long story short: Some of it bonded with you, you quit soon after due to not wanting anyone to get suspicious then started working at Oscorp.

Pre Tentacles:

He, and almost every other co-worker, is a little bit curious about the fact that you quit your last job to work at Oscorp but drops the subject after the mention of an NDA (which wasn’t true)

Notices you talking to yourself a lot, but doesn’t question it much. Most of the scientists he works with have an odd habit or two.

You totally slip up and call yourself 'we' in a conversation, which he does bring up

"There's a perfectly reasonable explanation if you give me enough time to think of a lie."

On to the actual dating

You guys keep it on the down low and by that I mean absolutely nobody knows. He likes privacy

His love language is talking about his experiments and asking you about yours (and physical touch but that takes a while)

The symbiote makes the relationship difficult, especially because he doesn't know about it

You don’t ever tell him about the symbiote, the symbiote speaks for itself (literally, and to a disastrous extent)

He takes a while to process it, but once he does he shares his work on his tentacles

He tries not to think of the moral implications of the whole situation because he loves you and knows you wouldn't do harm intentionally (he is wrong)

Post Tentacles:

Ok so in most versions Otto goes missing for a brief time after the accident™

So what happens in this brief time?

Chaos. Pure chaos and fear

Not only are you distraught and angry but your symbiote also formed an emotional attachment

Absolutely no one gets a break. Criminals, civilians, co workers, Norman even Spider-Man

The streets are filled with nothing but fear and it stays like that until you get your Otto back

At which point:

Yay, evil power-couple time!

I mean what did you expect, you’re the host to a symbiote that eats people to survive and likes to commit crimes; there is almost nothing he could do that you either 1) haven’t already done or 2) had to literally fight yourself not to do

He changed after the accident, and it reminds you of when you first bonded with your symbiote. You try and be patient, knowing that he's still the same person, just with a different attitude and outlook on life.

With some communication skills being flexed, the relationship works out well

He also gains a new thing to be mad at the world about (Tabloids keep calling him a monsterfucker and so does your Symbiote)

It's that whole Roger and Jessica Rabbit thing except no one knows who's Roger or Jessica at any given moment.

You keep working at Oscorp to keep suspicions low and provide insider information

Yes, the suit makes you look very good - now do you want to be part of the Insidious Sinister Six or not?

You don’t want to fight Spider-Man head-on most of the time (much to the Symbiote's chagrin) so you agree to work with them, but not be on the team.

Anyway you end up kicking ass and now half the team is scared of you (Much to the Symbiote’s delight) (remember that episode in the 90s show were Venom Spider-Man almost kills Rhino and Shocker? Yeah you do something like that)

His ego may be nearing the size of the sun, but even then he’s slightly scared of what would happen if your symbiote gained full control. (Your symbiote likes him so his nerves are good, but still makes sure nothing happens that affects your memories)

Speaking of which he wants to do some - totally not evil because he loves you- experiments revolving around the Symbiote

Overall, the relationship is wholesome, if not unconventional.

- He was always a pretty insecure man in terms of how he’d look, (and his personality too aw man) he always saw his body as something he wasn’t proud of. People under minded him for it, especially at work. Which is why he was surprised to find out you really liked him. When you had asked him out he asked multiple times with a red face, “Y-You’re joking!” or “Did someone put you up to this?”

But when you smiled at him so genuinely, shaking your head no and telling him you liked him…he felt like he was going to burst.

- When you two started dating, he found it a bit hard to make eye contact for very long. For he found that he’d get lost in your eyes, mesmerized by you completely. He was a shy man, and he never spoke his mind much when it came to how you made him feel. He was always quite flustered with you.

When you realized this, you started to use it to your advantage.

- On one occasion, he was in his office, typing away and sorting through files on his latest project. After hours of working he had finally stepped out to get a drink from the kitchen. You decided to try and stall him a little, maybe convince him to take a break. You had him backed up to a wall, hand resting beside his head, as you leaned down to his face. His cheeks are as red as tomatoes, looking at you mouth agape and eyes widened. You can’t help the smirk that forms on your face, eyes gazing at him intensely.

“Otto.”

“Y-Yes?”

You tilted your head a bit, blinking, still staring at him. The tension is killing him, your so close he can feel you breathing.

“Take a break hon, you’ve been cooped up in that desk for so long…”

He huffed, looking awkwardly at the floor. “Oh, I mustn’t…it’s I-important I finish this..” you took your hand, taking his chin to face you again. You frowned slightly, “But I miss you. Just one break, please?” He blinks, his lips quivering trying to find the voice to deny you. He swallows, “W-Well…I guess one break w-wouldn’t hurt.” He mutters. You smile at him, leaning in to kiss him, which he immediately returns. When you pull back you can see the slightly disappointed look on his face. You quickly step back with a whole different mood, grinning at him. “Great! Come sit with me, I was watching a movie.” You walk over to the couch, leaving him speechless as his heart doesn’t stop its pounding.

He’s flustered, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he stands there wondering what the fuck just happened to him.

- He found himself in this situation many times, pinned to a wall or how your head rested on-top of his with arms wrapped around him, engulfing him in a hug.

And every single time he couldn’t help the red that’d seep to his cheeks, the racing of his heart and and the wanting to drop everything he was doing to look up at you all day.

Oh yeah, he has to look up when he talks to you. It’s adorable 😭

- No longer has he have to suffer the neck pain of looking up at you, because now… HE HAS HIS OCTOPUS ARMS!!

- But on the rare occasion where he’s just standing like a normal guy, you always take your chance to try and fluster you like you did before. This time, he’s not so shy about his feelings.

- You’d have him pinned against a wall just like before, it was difficult to get into this position but you did.

“Hey doc.”

He smirks, “What’s this, Y/N?”

You mirror his smirk, “What ever do you mean, Doc? I’m just, having a conversation with you.”

He chuckles, shaking his head and looking up at you with tinted cheeks. “I see. My apologies, I just never considered being pinned to a wall was a way to talk to somebody.”

“Oh, so this your first time?” You snickered at your own dumb joke, he found that cute.

“No, I’m very well experienced actually.”

You laughed. You rested your other hand to the other side of his head, trapping him in as you leaned down to kiss him. He kissed you back, passionately and slow. One of his hands had cupped your cheek, the other firm against your chest as his receptors pulled you in. He felt himself melt whenever he’d kiss you, even with his newfound confidence he still never got rid of that sweet ache in his chest. When you pulled back, before you could say anything, he flipped you over.

Now you were the one pinned to he wall, his receptors lifted him slightly to be eye level with you, a hand over your head as he leaned while the other had held your chin pinched between his pointer index and his thumb. He had an obnoxious smile on his face when he saw how your face reddened, eyes wide in surprise. He chuckled, whispering in a low tone;

“What about you Y/N, is this yours?”

The warm summer breeze gently brushed against Peter's face, and the smell of Chrysanthemums, Dahlias, and Lavender filled his senses, making him smile; it reminded him of his childhood. Now, Peter's childhood was messy, that was the best word he used to describe it, but within that mess was you. Peter met you when he was very young. After his parents died in a plane crash, which led him to live with his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. He was deeply grateful to his Aunt and Uncle for taking him in and making sure he was fed, clothed, and well taken care of. The love they had for him made the pain of his parent's death a bit easier for him to bear. 

And when Peter met you, at the age of ten, he knew you and him were going to be fast friends. You felt the same. You had just been playing at the small park near your home when you saw another little boy your age, playing alone. And with that, you bounded over with a giant smile on your face, hands clasped behind your back as you asked the little boy if he wanted to play with you. His wide, surprised eyes quickly turned into those of delight, a bright smile appearing on his face as he agreed. From that day on, you two spent every moment you could together.

In the Springtime, you'd play at the same park, pretending to be pirates hunting for buried treasure, explorers looking for the missing Lynx, or  astronauts who had just landed on a new planet. In the Summertime, you both would continue to play in that park, running off to get ice cream from the nearby ice cream vendor, having small picnics Aunt May would help with, and even going swimming if the two of you could. In the Fall, you and Peter would play in the fallen leaves, play hide-and-seek behind orange trees, carve pumpkins on the porch of your house, and go trick-or-treating together. And as Winter slowly came around, you would both go out to play in the snow - even though there wasn't a lot of it - teaching Peter how to ice skate, and drinking Aunt May's famous hot chocolate while watching movies or sports with Uncle Ben. This continued for years. You were over at the Parker’s residence so often in fact that Aunt May knew your favorite food by heart, and made you it for your birthday.

As you both got older, going into middle school, Peter was glad to have you there with him. You made middle school easier to handle. You helped him when he never really thought he'd make any friends, and he helped you when you were stuck on something in your homework. It was a win-win. And though you both didn't have as much time to spend together, you both made the most of it, and that also went for high school as well. 

When you both entered Midtown High, Peter began to notice certain, small things about you. The way your nose wrinkled when you were concentrating on some hard math homework, how your eyes narrowed when you got to a really good part in your book. The way you smiled, teeth showing as you recalled something funny. The way you laughed, body shaking and shoulders jolting slightly as you did. The way you hugged him in the hallway after not seeing him for a couple of hours, whispering “hi, Pete,” into his ear. At the end of the day, you'd pull at his hand to drag him out of the school, ready to study together, or just hang out. You were also always there for when he needed you, either for when Flash was being a jerk, or when he just wanted you beside him. And how pretty you looked when you were just there… Existing... Peter loved all of these things about you. And it wasn't like he hadn't noticed these things before, he had, but this time he seemed overwhelmingly aware of them.

He was terrified at the revelation that he was crushing on you, and he didn't know what to do. Should he tell you? No, he didn't think he could survive that. Even though he could tell you anything and everything, his crush on you was not on that list. But, the more that he sat on the idea of confessing it, the less he liked it. What if he messed up and said something wrong or you rejected him? Or worse, what if you left him forever? No, he couldn't risk that. He needed to wait until he figured things out. So he continued to sit and ponder and think about it until his brain hurt. Which took a while, but he thought, in conclusion, he wouldn't say anything at all. Better to have you as a best friend and love you from afar.

His loss, since you felt the same. Of course you did, why wouldn't you? He was Peter Freaking Parker, your best friend since you were ten, and practically the love of your life; and had been since fifth grade. You were convinced that you were going to marry him when you were a kid. You remembered running up to your mother after a couple of meetings with Peter, jumping up and down as you told her that you were going to marry him. Your mother thought it was pretty cute, young love or whatever, but thinking back to it now, you felt a sense of second-hand embarrassment from it all. 

But that never stopped you from falling deeper and deeper in love with Peter. Again, how could you not fall in love with him? He had the sweetest personality. He was kind, and understanding, and always made you laugh to the point that you would hunch over crying. He was practically a genius, always getting full marks in all of his classes - you did help him with his history homework once, but that was neither here nor there. You loved how he would tilt his head to the side slightly like a puppy confused as he asked you to repeat something. You loved how he was so passionate and driven; he was always the one who pushed you to try harder or better yourself. And you loved how he cared. How he would always be there to cheer you up or comfort you when you were sad, or angry. And even when you both had a fight or disagreement, he was always there for you, no matter what. 

But, after Peter got bitten, everything changed. He got taller, he didn't need his glasses anymore, and for some reason... He could walk on walls? At the age of fifteen, he became Spider-Man. And you were the only one who had known. Peter needed someone to go to when this had all started, and you were the first person to pop right into his head, as you usually did most days. He was extremely worried and nervous about telling you, but after his Uncle Ben died, he had no one else to turn to. He couldn't tell Aunt May, Peter was sure that she would blame him for Uncle Ben's death, as he blamed himself.

He remembered that night. Climbing up the trellises on the side of your house, pushing himself up to your window. Knocking on it, he tried to control his breathing as he watched your soft, yellow curtains being pushed aside. Peter felt relieved to see you, your eyebrows furrowed in confusion before you noticed how upset he was. Peter's mind was foggy as you pulled him inside your room, sitting him on your bed as you held his hands in yours. He felt numb, his Uncle's death replaying over and over. He could still feel his Uncle's weight in his arms. He failed him...

Peter remembered snapping out of his dark mind and thoughts, his eyes met yours, noticing that you were talking to him; he couldn't make out your words. It was as if he was underwater, your words and voice sounded like they came from so far away. Peter blinked and focused on you, trying to hear you. When you spoke again, he realized that you were asking him something, but he didn't understand what. All he could focus on was the fact that he had lost his uncle. Tears fell down his cheeks, his hands gripping onto yours tightly. You stopped, your confusion and worry fell into sorrow, and you didn't hesitate to pull Peter into your arms. 

He told you about his Uncle, about the spider bite, about his growing powers... He told you everything as the tears fell rapidly down his face.

From that day on, Peter came to you whenever he was injured or wounded. Even without any wounds, Peter came over to see you after patrol. Peter would sit in your bathroom as you patched up whatever cut he had on him, holding a frozen bag of peas to the bruise on his cheek, or wrapping gauze around the bullet graze on his arm. Those quiet, almost unnoticeable touches between you would fill Peter with warmth, bringing light to his dark, messy world. They gave Peter hope that maybe someday, he could start to build a life with you, that he could stop worrying and just concentrate on doing everything in his power to keep you, and others in New York, safe. 

Peter would often look back on those nights, way past midnight, sitting in your bathroom on the closed toilet seat. You between his legs, wiping away the blood on his face from the cut on his forehead. You were so soft and gentle, taking care of him, apologizing when you cleaned the small cuts; hearing his little wince. You had felt terrible, seeing the pain in his eyes, and you hated seeing him in pain. You hated seeing him swing over to your room, either with a gash or a couple of bruises, always making you worry some night that he might not come back. But you were insanely proud of him, watching on the news when he'd take down bad guys... He was changing the world and making it a better place to live. 

Twenty Five Years Ago - June 4th, 1996 -

Digging around in the small first aid kit, you pulled out a stray bandaid in the plastic box, smiling at the design. You placed the Spider-Man bandaid over the cut, smoothing it over while trying not to add more pain than necessary. After finishing up with the bandaids, you grabbed the first aid kit, stashing it back under the sink. Leaning back against the said sink, you tilted your head slightly as you met Peter's gaze. 

"You doing alright?" You had asked softly.

Peter nodded, standing up to pull you close into him. Wrapping his arms around you, he buried his nose into your hair, inhaling your scent. "I'm fine," He had whispered, "Just a little banged up..."

He heard you chuckle lightly. Lifting your head, you leaned your forehead against his. "Good thing you're not heavily bleeding, don't want blood all over me." You tried to joke, your smile widening at the sight of his slight grin.

The two of you stood in that position for a moment or two longer, then Peter pulled back from you slightly, putting both of your hands on either side of your neck, his thumbs brushing your jawline, looking at you. "Thank you... For helping me today, I mean... Thank you for everything," He said gently. "I don't deserve you."

You shook your head, "You deserve the world, Pete. And of course, I would help you, you're my best friend." Peter felt his stomach twist into knots as he nodded. “Can’t just leave you here to suffer.” You then added.

Peter then let out a nervous breath, "Look, I've... I've been meaning to say something, it's just hard to get the courage up, y'know?" You nodded, encouraging him to continue, you knew he needed to talk to you about something, being best friends with him for so long, you could just tell that there was something on his mind. And you wanted him to feel comfortable doing so. Taking another deep breath, he looked away from you, his lips pressed together in a tight line. After a few moments, he sighed. "I don't know where to start," Peter mumbled, his shoulders drooping.

Biting your bottom lip, you tilted your head to the side, silently relishing in the warmth his hands gave you, "Do you... Is this something you could show me? Or do you want to write it down? I could get paper and a pen..?" You had then asked, and Peter took the opportunity, shutting his eyes tight to press his lips to your cheek quickly.

It was less than a second, just a peck, but Peter kept his eyes closed, in fear. If he opened them, he was worried that you would have some angry expression on your face or something... But when he heard nothing, he opened his eyes, seeing you staring at him curiously, eyes wide. "What- Pete..." Your voice had trailed off.

Peter gulped, dropping his hands from you and rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry... I-" He paused for a moment. "I - I shouldn’t have done that. I like - like you more than a best friend should." He blurted out. Peter watched as your eyes widened further. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out. His heart began to beat faster. Was this the wrong time? What was going to happen now? Did he ruin it..? Peter swallowed. "Well, I ruined everything, didn’t I?" You didn't say a word.

You had answered Peter’s question with a kiss.

Present Time - May 18th, 2019 -

As the years in high school continued, you and Peter's growing relationship continued. When you both were free, you would spend every minute together. Watching movies together, going on little dates, and sharing sweet kisses after patching him up after his Spidey adventures. You planned to move in together, and Peter planned to marry you. 

Peter never felt this kind of love before. It overwhelmed him in the best kind of way. Every time he saw you, butterflies erupted inside of him. You were his sunshine. The one who made him happy, even when things weren't going great, even when the darkness seemed to engulf him. You were different. In a good way. Everything about you was perfect, and Peter loved everything about you. From your beautiful eyes, which sparkled whenever you laughed, to your soft lips, which tasted just like your favorite ice cream flavor. From your personality, always there for him and never made him question his Spider-Man responsibilities - even when your dates were cut off and he was sent away to fight Doc Ock or Green Goblin - Peter adored everything about you. You were the love of his life.

"I'm sorry I was gone for so long... Got sucked into another dimension and had to help this kid out… He’s a great kid... Everything's fine now though. I’m fine." Peter muttered, presently sitting on a small picnic blanket, just like you both used to do as children, "I should've come right over after I got back, but I had to do something first. I just wanted you to know that I didn't forget you..." Peter didn't hear you reply, so he continued, "I never could forget you... You're my everything. You helped me so much over the years. So thank you." He couldn't bear to turn to look at you, as he felt the tears pool in the corners of his eyes, "I know a lot of things have changed over the years. I know that I sort of fell into an endless hole of depression for a bit as well... I wish you didn’t have to see me like that." Letting out a sigh, he shut his eyes, "I'm gonna be a dad..." He basically ripped off the bandaid, a small smile appearing on his face, "And you would love MJ, she's strong and independent, just like you." Still with no response, Peter turned to face you, "I hope I've made you proud."

Your gray gravestone stared right back at him - silent - with your name, and a small inscription that read; 'Here lies a dreamer, a lover, and a best friend. May your memory be the sunshine in the darkest of days.' He traced the edges of the engraving of your name with a trembling finger. As he did so, Peter could've sworn that the wind suddenly picked up a bit, but he decided to ignore it. Turning to his side, he grabbed his water bottle, uncapping it; watering the Chrysanthemums, Dahlias, and Lavender that were potted beside your grave, as he used to do every Saturday.

"I have to go now... But I'll come back soon, okay?" Peter promised you, his heart pounding in his chest as he gazed down at the green, grassy ground, his hand still resting on your tombstone. He wiped the tears away, sniffling quietly; he never got an answer.

SPIDER-BOY HISTORY

Inspired by @jasontoddssuper 's Summer comic history!

Spider-Boy made his debut in Spider-Man 1 (2002), as one of the children kidnapped by Green Goblin during the climax. In a post credit scene, Mathew's seen helping Amanda around the house when a spider bites him, obviously foreshadowing his powers. In Spider-Man 2 (2004), he makes an appearance during the train scene, surprising Doc Ock and helping Spider-Man stop the train and stop Doc Ock by the end. In Spider-Man 3 (2007), Spider-Boy appears as a more major character, solidifying his relationship with Peter, MJ, etc.

Fan reception to Mathew was generally positive. Some fans thought he was an unnecessary distraction to the story and pre-established characters, while most others thought he was a charming addition who deserved more time in the limelight. But overall, he was mainly seen as a side character.

This changed in the TASM movies, specifically 2.

Mathew was further fleshed out, with the additions of his jailed abusive father, more moments with Amanda (his mother), furthering his partnership with Peter, etc. In TASM 2, he was marked by a majority of fans as one of the film's biggest saving graces.

Seeing his growing cult following, Sony, in 2017, instead of making the MCU Spider-Man movies, opted for a Spider-Boy solo movie.

The movie was a major hit, with fans praising the film for making Mathew truly his own character. A minority of fans slammed the film as a "blatant attempt to replace Peter".

But those fans were more silenced by two other major appearances for Spider-Boy: Into the Spider-Boy and Insomniac's Spider-Man (2018). By this point, he had gotten so popular that he got his first comic run in 2019, along with Spider-Boy 2.

Spider-Boy's comic run went strong going into 2022, where Sony gave him the final movie of his trilogy, and Insomniac gave him his own spinoff game, similar to Miles Morales.

Side note: Around 2018's Infinity War, Disney made their own Spider-Man, which took key features from Spider-Boy, such as his personality, certain design choices, etc. Fans quickly pointed this out and while MCU Peter was featured in big movies such as Infinity War, Endgame, etc, he only got one solo movie in 2023.

How would they react when their s/o tells them that they're pregnant?

Ricardo: omg omg omg okay so I have a fic in the works for this actually but idk when I’m actually gonna finish it so I’ll go ahead a give a summary. So I think, since he already had Karina, Ricardo and his s/o wouldn’t want to have a child, but then his s/o gets pregnant and when they get the positive test they’re actually excited but now also worried because Ricardo doesn’t want a kid. They know they can’t keep it a secret from him for long so they just decide to tell him as soon as he gets home from work. So he walks through the door, his s/o right there and they don’t know how to lead into it gently so they just say “I’m pregnant” and Ricardo’s eyes widen and he looks from their face to their stomach and back. Then he just drops his stuff, closing the distance between them and drops to his knees, pulling them in close and kissing their stomach a million times, saying “I love you” between each one. He holds them like that for a long time, only letting go when they tell him dinner is getting cold (he doesn’t want the mother of his child eating cold food!!!!!)

Otto/Doc Ock: this man… my god this man would be a happy wreck. He’d hold his s/o tight but also carefully because he doesn’t want to hurt the baby. Tears running down his face, a massive smile on his face, then moving to hold his s/o’s face in his hands and giving them the most loving kiss (yes he’d react the same way both pre- and post-accident Doc Ock wants babies with his s/o)

Robert: okay the first few were written sober I’m high now so Robert would probably sob and be super happy and holding his s/o tight omg he’d just be a shaking happy mess already thinking of baby names (okay I’m sober now reading this and it’s pretty accurate) also would be HELLA protective (so would all molina-verse characters, some more so than others)

Harold: *see robert* there’s not much else I can say he’s just really happy, oh I will say though that throughout the pregnancy he’d be glowing (like you know how people will tell someone who’s pregnant “omg you’re glowing!!!!” yeah he basically matches his s/o that way)

Harding: before he’d let himself celebrate, Harding would check his s/o himself to confirm they’re pregnant because he trusts his staff but with something as big as HAVING A CHILD he would want to be 100% certain because if somehow they weren’t actually pregnant the “loss” of the child would be too much for him (but also he’d be like “well now we just have to actually get you pregnant” aka lots of sex). Once confirmed he’d be extremely excited, probably buying “Baby’s First Surgery Kit” (if those exist idk I made it up)

Chandler: ok he’d fuck them first of all to celebrate, because the fact that he got his s/o pregnant is just insanely empowering to him and where does this power go? To his head (not that one, the other one). After that he’d actually be kinda nervous about being a father because he’s doesn’t exactly fit the “average dad” stereotype so it would worry him but his s/o would reassure him and after that he’d be very attentive to his s/o and also a great dad

Big Boss: “are ya sure? are ya DAMN sure? don’t tell me I’m gonna be a dad if ya aren’t fucking certain” again, super excited, but also is like Harding in the sense that he’d want the results triple checked. Probably would buy the baby a tiny cowboy hat

Manuel: lol okay so I have a wip that involves this sorta (not pregnancy, but his feelings towards pregnancy) so, going by that, he’d be thrilled and would ensure that his s/o is treated like a god

Edelweiss: like Harding, he’d want to see for himself, but, unlike Harding, it’d be because he just wants to watch the baby doing it’s thing, living it’s best life in the womb (this happens throughout the pregnancy, gets to the point where s/o brings something to do while Edelweiss watches the baby for hours on end via ultrasound)

Dick: *see robert* screaming, shaking, sobbing (good)

Arden: he’d pass out. Don’t get me wrong, when he wakes up he’s celebrating 1000%, but yeah he’d pass out

Armand: I feel like he’d initially be like “fuck I can’t do this I’m not gonna be a good dad” (he wouldn’t abandon his s/o or anything he’d just have doubts about himself as a parent at first) again s/o would reassure him, though he’d still be nervous about it until the baby is born, after seeing them for the first time he’d just fall right into the role of Chief Inspector Dad

Oswald: same as Robert, but before he’s happy sobbing he is sad/scared/guilty/disgusted-with-himself sobbing because he’s like “how could this perfect angel ever want to have a child with me?” but his s/o kisses away his tears and reassures him they want this child until he believes it (credit: @chrism02)

Andres: already knows, don’t know how but he does, has a room already set up as the nursery (and a room in the nearby hospital’s maternity ward on reserve for the next nine months, seriously no one is going to be in that room as a patient until his s/o goes into labor)

Diego: literally just super joyful laughing, hugging his s/o (maybe a little too) tight, also his mother would be so caring??? idk why I get that vibe from him that his mother would be like that, but yeah she’d be making his s/o so much food and giving them Diego’s old toys/other baby stuff

Maxim: literally anytime @Chrism02 has written Maxim finding out his s/o (the reader) is pregnant is his Canon™️ response imo

Hank: overwhelmed with a million emotions (he’s a politician, a pregnancy can be both good and bad for both his career and his personal life), but the prevailing emotion is joy (and he definitely flaunts his pregnant s/o in the public eye, he’s just like “hey this is my baby and there’s a baby in my baby it’s my double baby, my baby-baby, my baby squared”)

Frank: despite his affinity for objectification (aka his “sex toy” kink), Frank is also very domestic and loving, so he’d be over the moon about his s/o being pregnant! Literally just holds them as close as possible until his s/o finally has to pry him off of them

Hhhm. That would be an interesting yet hard au. Cause Peter would still need a motivational factor in his choice to become Spider-Man. Maybe he's still close with Uncle Ben

That aside, Electro seems like he would have been a decent dad pre accident. He's definitely the type who has to work a lot to pay the bills, but it's obvious he loves his kid. Post accident, his first thought is "Ahhhhh!!!!" His second thought is that he needs to stabilize, for Peter. What is going to happen to his kid?? He gets increasingly desperate for a cure, turns to doc ock, yada yada.

Then he's fighting spider man. An weird fight where they are alone. A distraction for someone elses mission. And Spider goes down, insides and outsides on fire. Peter thinks this is the end. And he has been trying to hard to find and help his dad. He has no more options. Times up. He wants to look at his dad in the face one more time, no lenses or fabric over his eyes. So he takes off the mask, fully believing the accident has fried his dad's brain into forgetting/hating him. that had to be the reason his father never came home. And yet... Electro stops. He is horrified. He cannot believe what he has done.

Long story short (too late!) Peter gets to work on tech that helps electro be more stable and electro helps Peter fight crime.

Possible MarvelSona (?) - Funny how I got based by listening to audios from a whole other fandom

( Doctor Who ding ding ding — because it’s my first and biggest special interest )

Anyway— she starts out as Doctor Octopus’ assistant, then to his love interest. Both working on their scientific experiments/studies, whilst Cass specializes in computer science. ( This actually does help Doc Ock with /the/ science projects he plans to put forward. In both Pre-accident Otto’s projects and post-accident Otto/Doc Ock. )

She remains loyal to Doc Ock in both his assistant and his love interest, unfortunately for her she got a little too impulsive in conducting her own tests…which gave her a huge ego-boost of her own.

Let’s just say that an anxiously impulsive, egotistic woman with a computer science degree… usually doesn’t mix well :,)

Okay I’m done writing/typing this - I kind of made all of this up off the top of my head ngl.

Alright so I just finished Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions (for like the 8th time, definition of a comfort game)

For anyone curious, it runs nearly flawlessly on the steam deck. I ran into two or three crashes and got nearly 100% completion which is pretty good for PS3 emulation imo. Some minor audio issues but only in the pre-rendered cutscenes, and could probably be fixed by tweaking the settings on the emulator a little but I never touched that. Anything actually running in the engine worked fine, no glitches or bugs I hadn't experienced playing it on actual hardware.

Anyway, I love love love this game. It was what introduced me to Spider-Man Noir and 2099 and I have very fond memories of reading and rereading the Wikipedia page, falling down a rabbit hole and learning all the stuff about the comics I (at the time) couldn't access. Playing the game again as an adult with a more developed, critical eye, I can see a lot of flaws with the game, but also really get to the meat of what made me love it so much.

Wayyy too much to say but I'll drop some thoughts under the cut

Noir's sections would have been better if there was more variety and different ways to deal with the situations (Spider-Man PS4 has very similar stealth mechanics but they're much better refined, usually give you the option to just go in guns blazing outside of specific challenges and story moments, and give you ways of distracting enemies so you have more control over the situation and room for strategy. That's what this game needed.)

2099 was probably my favorite, Miguel is probably my favorite Spider-Man outside of 616 Peter and maybe Noir depending on how he's written. It's interesting that they chose such a mature voice for Miguel but reused a lot of stuff from the Timestorm storyline, which implies a way younger version of 2099. This probably had the best bosses, Hobgoblin 2099, Scorpion 2099 and Doc Ock 2099. 2/3 are original characters created for this game specifically. I wouldn't mind seeing this version of Hobgoblin come back in some capacity, maybe in the comics. I do wish they brought in more 2099 classic stuff though.

Ultimate is probably the most satisfying in terms of moment to moment gameplay, and I love that the cell shaded art style makes it feel like a graphically enhanced version of Ultimate Spider-Man (PS2). Almost makes me wish that game got a remake, but this was a very satisfying alternative. A lot of continuity nods to the comics, it can seem a lot like Ultimate Peter and Amazing are so similar that they didn't need both, but I really think the worlds they exist in are different enough to be worthwhile.

Amazing is where the game falls flat for me, unfortunately. The art style isn't as fun or unique as the others, the choices of bosses aren't as interesting (aside from Sandman, that level is perfect). He's really the all-rounder, no real gimmick to make him stand out. I think this version could've benefitted from some retooling. Maybe if his combat had been based more on speed and chaining hits rather than just being Ultimate without the crowd control capabilities. I also think they could've gone with a better choice than Juggernaut, and I'd maybe shift the order so Sandman was the first boss and make Kraven a little more difficult. I think I'd swap Juggy for The Lizard and make the level focus on chasing him through the sewers while the tablet lets him turn other people into lizards. Something like that

Overall, I love this game. I think it's a big part of why Mysterio is one of my favorite villains, and it was a big contributor to my love of multiverse stories.

I'll play Edge of Time next when I get a minute and probably have a more detailed post about my thoughts on both games then.
