Strap on your roller skates, fire up the jukebox, and let’s rock ‘n’ roll! It’s time to make things right at the Old Sage Diner!

Who can participate? Everyone!

Which characters can I use? Yuusonas, NRC OCs, RSA OCs, or canon characters are all welcome!

How can I participate? Write fics or vignettes, draw fanart, create character cards, edit sprites, make playlists, you name it!

What are the content rules? Keep it PG-13, and check out the outfit notes so that your character won’t get the diner shut down by the health department.

How long does this event last? This event runs from August 24 to September 30, 2023.

Personality: Almost always seen with a frown upon her face, Odette is a somber, melancholy individual. Odette keeps to herself and would rather take a swan-dive off the roof than socialize with others. Odette is under the belief that so long as she keeps to herself, she wouldn’t get attached to others and be forced to see them despair. Odette is cold at times but once a person leaves, she immediately feels remorseful over how she acted and thus, keeps more to herself. Odette is pessimistic about life because of her fate and feels jealous of others who seem to have their “perfect fairytale endings” while she’s stuck with hers. Deep down, Odette does care about others, she just wants them to be happy and tries her best to make those people feel happy indirectly like writing them compliments on pieces or paper or leaving anonymous flowers to cheer them up! There are rare times that Odette feels truly happy and that’s when she’s dancing! Often you can see her smiling and enjoying herself! That is until someone walks in and Odette is back to her grumpy self!

Backstory: Odette was once a happy child who lived with her two loving parents in the Briar Valley. She loved to sing and dance and do all sorts of things that a happy child would do! However, this all changed on Odette’s 9th birthday. On that day, Odette awoke to find a large strand of her hair had turned white. Odette tried to cover it up with the rest of her hair but it was quickly discovered by her parents. On Odette’s paternal side, there was a familial curse. A curse that would cause the person afflicted to turn into a swan for all of time. Thankfully, this only affected person when they came to the end of their life and, due to Odette’s paternal side being all Fae, this wouldn’t happen for centuries! However, Odette was a special case. She was a half-fae and rather than the curse afflicting her late in life, it came for her early. Desperate for some way to break the curse, The Cygnets turned to their friends the Le Fay family when they were stopping by the Briar Valley and begged them to help their daughter. The Le Fay’s own daughter Victoria tried her best to try to break the curse but as it was too strong, Victoria would only edit the curse. The edit was that the curse could be broken by an act of true love. Over time however, Odette lost faith in true love and kept to herself. Years later, Odette was accepted into RSA and was sorted into the dorm Fableheart. However, Odette was chosen for an NRC-RSA exchange program and at NRC, she was sorted into Pomfiore.

Odette absolutely adores the rain

Due to her curse, Odette’s singing voice has taken a turn for the worse. People often say she sounds like a dying swan when singing

Back home, Odette has many different pets including a kitten, a horse, and a whole flock of swans!

Due to her curse, Odette started to have traits similar to that of swans, such as eating grass or communicating with other swans!

Odette has been taking ballet and other dance classes since a very young age!

Odette was actually friends with Victoria Le Fay as a child and the two would regularly play together when Victoria was visiting her family in the Briar Valley

Odette is typically seen practicing in one of the Pomfiore dance studios or dancing along the beaches of Sage’s Isle!

Seeing Odette smile is a myth passed around Pomfiore and the rest of NRC, they say that the one who can get her to smile, will do well on their exams! Odette has yet to confirm or deny this myth!

When Odette’s hair turns fully white, she is doomed to turn into a swan!

Jocia Gains

1. Just like Yuu- i got a whooole playlist for her. Just like all my other OCs! Though I am more set on one specific song that defines her best: Seashore

2. At RSA? Chenya! At NRC? Kalim Al Asim. Both of them make her laugh. Chenya more than Kalim, but Kalim's extroverted tendencies help her open up a bit more to pretty much everyone. It's hard to be badass when such a cinnamon roll is always around.

3. Riddle Rosehearts. Ahhh, the one who breaks rules for what they think is the greater good, and the rule enforcer. Plus, they both have an AWFUL temper. When they're not pissed off to hell and back or breaking rules, they can actually get along decently.

4. Bugs and spiders. Fuck them. Nope. Crushing them with a baseball bat ASAP. This fear practically runs in the family.

5. P.E. It's the only class in school she's ever enjoyed. Exercising helps her blow off steam and keep her temper in check.

6. Umm... is all of the above an option? Most of the time she just doesn't show up. If I had to say one that she'd be bad at if she actually tried, it'd be Alchemy. It's too close to cooking, and this woman would burn down a house trying to make mac n cheese.

7. Welp, she played baseball a TON back in high school. It's something her and her siblings always practiced together, so it reminds her of home. That's for RSA, though. If she had to join one at NRC, it'd be the Mountain Lovers club. Can't use magic for Spelldrive, so hiking is her next best bet. She doesn't know shit about nature though. Sorry Jade (I'm not sorry LMAO)

8. Floyd Leech. Similarly to him and Riddle, he knows how to get on her nerves. Except she isn't as adherent to the rules, meaning they have and will exchange a few punches.

9. Sam! She's immune to his capitalist tactics, but besides that they're pretty chill. Plus he isn't a teacher, which means he doesn't scold her for misbehaving. That's definitely a plus.

10. Savanaclaw. 100%.

11. It's a tie between Jack Howl and Deuce Spade... or maybe leaning more towards Jack given her delinquent tendencies. She wouldn't be a good influence for Deuce, and she knows that. Jack and her relate a lot to each other. Though she doesn't really care about growing stronger as much. She just enjoys exercising and a more athletic physique.

12. Harveston! She's never been sledding before, but she is biased towards winter sports. Trying it out would be fun.

13. Floyd. It could go either way, seeing as I can see them brawling more than once.

14. Bad. Very bad.

15. Unlike Yuu, Jocia doesn't keep many secrets from her peers. At least not on purpose. The fact that her sister is off being a piece of shit at her rival school, though...

Cater Diamond

Cater plays little games on his phone like the TWST equivalent of Candy Crush, Eggy Car, or the Dino Game to unwind

Adding a bit onto that, one of his happiest moments was when his family was busy on his birthday and he could eat spicy ramen in peace while playing his silly little games

In his mind, Cater thinks of people as trends; they come and go and won't stay around forever

(TW: Eating Disorder) After his hatred for sweets started developing, Cater started throwing up whenever he had them (Bulimia or some form of it). Had to eat a load of sweets for an Unbirthday party? "Sorry, I have to go to the bathroom. CayCay will be back in a minute!" Sisters stuffing his face with it again? "Mom asked me to tend to her garden. One sec, sis!"

Riddle Rosehearts

(Book 1 spoilers) After his overblot, Riddle uses mantras to calm down, sorta like Pepa from Enchanto. "I have a never ending supply of patience." "This has no effect on my life." "I'm relaxed and at ease."

Riddle also uses music as a way to destress. Singing along to Happy by Pharrell Williams? Nope. He's rocking out to Monster by Skillet.

At least twice a month, he sneaks in to the kitchen and steals a tart. Just sits on the floor and shoves it in his face. Trey doesn't care as long as Riddle brushes his teeth afterward (he doesn't, he forgets)

(TW: More Food Issues) (More book 1 spoilers) Before the trip to the bakery, Riddle had a shit relationship with food. He thought it tasted bland and found it hard to eat. The only reason he would was because of his mother watching over his shoulder. And after the bakery incident, his relationship with it got worse for a while. Though, as he knew that this was unhealthy, he eventually made a promise to himself. That he'd become the mage his mother could be proud of, so she'd allow him to have those breath-taking tarts.

Trey Clover

While baking, he listens to a mix of Nelly Furtado and Eminem. Specifically, Maneater, Promiscuous, Superman, Without Me, and Til' I Collapse.

Trey stuffs recipies in his fedora, like Vivo from... Vivo. At least, he did this when he first came to Night Raven to remember them.

Reminder: he was probably a nervous freshman once. Seeing that would probably be hilarious.

For his fourth year, Trey actually considered interning with Sebek's father.

Ace Trappola

He wet the bed until he was like 8; his brother still makes fun of him for it

His father was extremely close to beating Ace's ass when he found out how Ace treated the Ramshackle Prefect in the beginning. Ace's father is magicless as well and doesn't tolerate any bullshit

A few of his childhood friends go to RSA now, so he doesn't hold as much dislike towards the rival school

His mother is a sensitive topic, he usually doesn't bring her up unless he's making some sort of "motherless" joke. Ace usually only makes motherless jokes if he's made a similar joke about Deuce's dad (and if he's made a joke about an absent parent of Yuu's, if they have one)

Deuce Spade

Coping skills for his anger include: working out, listening to music, and arguing with Ace

He makes playlists not only for his friends, but for certain events in his life. Yes, Deuce did make playlists for the overblots (Riddle's included mostly songs about revolution

There was an inside joke about Deuce not knowing store-bought eggs aren't fertilized in his middle school gang, though he didn't realize it

(TW: Mental health issues) Deuce had little bouts of depression after he overheard his mom's phone call. Doubt would cloud his mind on whether he should stay and if his mother would be better off without him. He'd shake himself out of this thinking process by reminding himself that his mom would be alone if he wasn't there

5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?

Oh, this is fun. Because there is a legitimate answer of what they actually do in order to accomplish their task- the main reason they came to NRC in the first place.

So first and foremost, infiltrate a prestigious magic school in order to mine its resources and collect as much information is necessary under the guise of "extracurricular studies" as to not get caught. Black mail the college headmaster to ensure nothing negative comes out of anything if on the off chance something does go wrong. Make a fae contract with the heir of Briar Valley in order to gain more resources. Exploit cross cultural exchanges, festivals, and any moments in which RSA students are able to visit NRC, or vice versa, in order to do active reconnaissance. Create a magical device that reattatches their head and allows them to seamlessly blend in with the general public. Convince one of your best friends to use their signature spell on the anticipated target without fully telling them all of the details about the mission. And then use their own signature spell at the extreme risk of being caught and losing everything... because the main reason they went to NRC was to find the true identity and true name of the next person they were tasked to ferry to the other side. And then say their name.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

This is gonna sound like a cheesey cop-out answer, but their relationships. When I originally designed Oisín, I never intended for them to not only find the love of their life in Lilia, but also their found family in Idia, Ortho, and @cyanide-latte 's Wei Renqiao. I also never intended for them to troll Riddle, or become really close friends with Cater and Rook. There were some relationships that I had fully intended from the beginning, like with the Octavinelle trio and Malleus and Crowley. But the rest? Happened organically and by accident. And honestly? I'm really glad for them.

9. Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?

I'm gonna give you actually the line that makes me think of Oisín and Lilia as a couple. Cause tbh, I haven't started a playlist for Oisín by themself yet. Oops. And that's the chorus of Vampire Heart by HIM:

To my immense surprise, this blog just hit 100 followers. I’m… so happy about this. Like, 100 people — for very different reasons — looked at my content and thought I was worth following. My posts are mainly about Twisted Wonderland bc that’s my most active addiction at the time being but I hope that I find inspiration to make more about other fandoms that I like. 

Since twst was the major factor for this blog’s growth, it’s fair that this writing event centers around the characters we all love. I’m mastering my “imagine writer” techniques but you can have examples of it like my Jack Howl’s story or the little scenarios I wrote for my twst playlists.

I decided to take at least 50 requests with short stories. Nothing too long or complicated that I’ll get stuck writing (and delaying too much bc of irl stuff) and heartwarming enough that it will satisfy both me and the readers. I’ll gladly accept writing headcanons too!

🍒 I’ll write as a gender neutral reader. You can choose between First Person Narration / “You” centered pronouns (like, “You brought a strawberry tart for Riddle”) / use of Y/N as Your Name.

🍒 Will Write (stories, hcs): sfw, fluff, comfort, established relationship, crush, comedy, platonic, romantic, character’s family

🍒 Won’t Write: nsfw, yandere, incest, death, abuse, teacher x student troupe, character x character, nothing that makes me uncomfortable to write

             🌸— The “imagine” format is originally made for it is made to embrace a variety of readers who would like to be in this scenario and it’s one of the things that I find so interesting about it. But, in very specific cases, the reader needs to be in a certain way to fit that specific trope or scene (how a boy would look down on you when you roughly have the same height?). 

             🌸— Not extremely necessary! I’m just putting this here because a vague description of the reader will give me freedom to write the way that I want and if you want something more “relatable” towards you… well, why not?

🍒 Short stories, scenarios or headcanons. If you want help to have an idea, check out this fluff alphabet that I’ll be using. I can accept at least 5 letters in the form of headcanons, 1 letter in stories/scenarios.

🍒 Maximum to 3 characters in a request. If you choose groups (clubs, grades, dorm) be aware that it can take more time than expected. If you request more than 3 and they're not in a very specific group, I'll have to exclude one or replace one if he's repeated in older asks.

             🌸— I'm making in a special thing to use these excluded characters anyway but they're not prioritized like this event's request characters so be aware of that. I'm calling it "Bits of Cherry" when I post it.

🍒 I accept writing only for most of the NRC students (minus Ortho in romantic scenarios, he’s baby) and RSA students. 

             🌸— NRC staff only if is an adult!reader, and a personal suggestion of mine is to pick a staff position too (“librarian”, for example). 

🍒 I won’t write for minor age characters like Cheka, Ortho and Najma in romantic scenarios. But if you want to include them in platonic/family stories (like: spending an afternoon babysitting Cheka with one of the Savannaclaw boys or Najma showing you baby photos of Jamil), I will give it a try. Only as platonic, okay? 

             🌸— Warning: There will be characters that either I don’t have enough confidence in writing them properly or I’m not too much attached or downright dislike them. I’ll try to give my best to write all of them but I’m already warning you about this bc this will likely influence how fast I’ll be able to write. Then again, I’ll do my best!

✨🖤Club Information/Audition Process🖤✨

The Black Swans welcome all femme students who display strong vocal and dance talent and are willing and open to working with others. Auditions are held three times per year; once at the start of the school year, again in January before the VDC and again right before spring break. 

Currently we have five official (stage) members and two reserve (trainee) members. During auditions, you will be evaluated by three of our official members who will be judging auditions based upon vocal skills, dancing and overall style and stage presence. 

Those who do not fully pass the audition process or who have other obligations that would prevent attending every rehearsal are welcome to still join the club as reserve members. Reserves/trainees still have a chance to perform in cases one or more of our official members cannot for whatever reason. They also have a chance to be promoted to official member status if they display quick improvement of their skills and/or perform well on stage. 

Rehearsals for official members are held twice weekly but when preparing for performances, rehearsals may be held as many as four times weekly. Reserve/trainee members are not required to attend every rehearsal but are still encouraged to do so. Those chosen to perform for the VDC are required to take part in the four week training camp prior to the contest and attend every rehearsal regardless of member status, NO EXCEPTIONS.
