Protect You
Pairing: Nikolai Lantsov x reader
Summary: Even the demon will protect you...
A/N: not requested, but I love this idea lol
He was drenched in sweat, trembling in your arms.  You dabbed at his forehead with a cool cloth, gently rocking him back and forth.  This was arguably the worst part of when the demon came out: coming back to himself.  The demon took such a large toll on Nikolai’s mind and body, and he was exhausted when he came back.
He stirred, moaning softly.  “Kolya?” you said, cupping his cheek.  “Darling, are you back with me?”  The King slowly blinked his eyes open, only calming when he saw you.  “Y/N?”  “Yes, love, it’s me.  How are you feeling?”  You helped him to sit up, pressing a glass of water into his hand.  “Oh, you know…like a demon clawed its way out of my soul.  Nothing new.”
You rolled your eyes, but pressed a kiss to his forehead.  “So,” Nikolai said once he’d finished his water.  “What’s the damage this time around?”  You were silent for a moment, which raised Nikolai’s suspicion.  “Another goose farm?  A herd of cattle?  What, Y/N?”  “There…actually wasn’t any damage.”
Now the King was confused.  Every time the demon came out, he hunted.  Never humans, but livestock, birds, and the like.  “What do you mean, Y/N?  Where did I go?”  “You stayed here, Nikolai.  With me.”  “With you?”  Nikolai sat up, shocked, but he moved too quickly, causing a wave of nausea and dizziness to wash over him.  “Why was I with you?  Why didn’t Tamar get you out?”
Nikolai was frantic now, fear filling him.  The demon was unpredictable, it didn’t have his logic or reasoning, it could not differentiate friend from foe.  And if you were with him when he transformed…  “Hey, Nikolai, look at me,” you said, taking his face in your hands.  “Sweetheart, I am fine.  You didn’t hurt me, you didn’t hurt anyone.”  “I…I didn’t?”  “No, my love.”
Unbidden, a terrified scream left your mouth.  One moment, it was your husband next to you in bed, nodding off as he read.  The next, it was the demon; beady black eyes, black talons and claws, inky scars on his skin, and wings made of shadow.  Tolya and Tamar entered not even a minute later, weapons drawn, prepared to protect their King and Queen.
“Y/N, come on!” Tamar called.  But the moment you stepped away, Nikolai snarled, digging his claws into the bedsheets.  And when Tamar took a step towards you, he gnashed his teeth at her.  “Tamar?” you called, and the Heartrender took another cautious step forward.  This proved to be the wrong decision, as Nikolai leapt from his perch on the bed and went face-to-face with Tamar and growled.
Then, surprising everyone in the room, Nikolai turned to you.  With as much gentleness as the demon was capable of, he draped a wing over you, sheltering you against his body.  He looked at you, his black eyes somehow tender, and purred.  You had no idea that the demon could purr.  Whenever Tolya, Tamar, or even Genya tried to approach, Nikolai would snap and snarl at them, tucking you in tighter to his body, sheltering you with his wing.
“Are you…protecting me?” you asked, and while the demon could not speak, he huffed a breath at you as if to say “Of course I am”.  Nikolai remained in his demon form for several hours, content to sit with you tucked beneath his wing.  And when the demon retreated, Nikolai remembered nothing.
You recounted the evening’s events to your husband, who looked at you like you’d grown a second head.  “I…protected you?  How?”  You shook your head, cupping Nikolai’s cheek and drawing him in for a soft, gentle kiss.  “You did.  I don’t know how, or why, but it seems the demon knows how much you love me and want to protect me.”
Your husband nodded, snuggling into your embrace.  “I do love you, Y/N.  I love you so much, more than I ever thought I could love someone else.  Were you afraid, love?”  Guilt filled you as you nodded.  “I was, yeah.  Not of you, Nikolai, never of you.  But when the demon comes out, it’s not you, and we don’t know what it will do.  But then you protected me, you snapped at Tolya and Tamar and sheltered me.  I don’t know why it happened, but I think the demon knows me.”
Nikolai hummed, sleep pulling him under.  “I love you,” he repeated, words slurring a little.  “I love you, Y/N.  I love you so much.”  You laughed, kissing his forehead and wrapping your arms around him.  “I love you too, Nikolai.  Now get some rest, my love.”  You reached to extinguish the lamp on the bedside table, immediately returning your hand to its place on your husband’s back.  You could dissect what the demon protecting you meant tomorrow, but you knew one thing it meant for certain: Nikolai’s love for you ran so deep that not even the demon could ignore it.

Hello! So I've been reading a lot of your works *cough* mainly Kaz and Pin *cough* and I was wondering if I could request one? If so, A6 from your dialogue prompt list with Kaz Brekker. Have a great day <3
Prompt: A6. “Ugh, people are so weird.”
A/N: I still can't look at him without remembering I actually have HUGGED that man and I get to do it once more in two months I-
Tumblr media
RUMOUR TOLD ME
Ketterdam, in its darkness and grimness, was the last place Kaz would expect to find someone like you. You, a cheery, warm person who believed all people were good unless proven otherwise. And even working with the Dregs hadn’t wiped that attitude off you, which had always puzzled Kaz. And maybe it was the way you always saw the good in everyone was what made him develop feelings for you. Or rather, as he convinced himself, he was maybe slightly interested, but not necessarily romantically.
Either way, he treated you like he had always treated you, as another Crow, and he thought everyone else thought so too. And maybe that’s why it was so shocking when you came to the Slat one day, laughing as you slid to sit at the bar counter, one stool away from Kaz.
He stared at you for a moment, and you locked eyes with him. “I just heard the funniest thing.”
“Can’t wait to hear it,” Kaz mumbled, glancing at the barkeeper who immediately started preparing a drink for him.
“There’s a rumour circling around that Kaz Brekker has a crush,” you snickered, and Kaz immediately froze. “And the crush being me. Ugh, people are so weird.”
A short silence descended upon you, and your giggling echoed in Kaz’s mind.
He closed his eyes for a moment. Get it together, Brekker.
“And you find it funny?” Kaz grumbled, which earned a frown from you.
“Well, we are complete opposites. I mean, I guess people who sent this rumour going are probably avid romance novel readers whose favourite trope is ‘opposites attract’ but I have no idea what kind of drink they took to get themselves so drunk that they spun out this kind of theory.” You shrugged, gesturing to the barkeeper to prepare a drink for you too.
Kaz scowled. “Those kinds of rumours should be cut off before they have a chance to fly.”
You laughed. “Oh come on Kaz, it’s just some children spinning stories for their entertainment, it won’t hurt anyone.”
Kaz almost barked at you, telling you that children of Ketterdam should know better than joke with things like that before someone teaches them what it’s like to lose the fun in their life forever, but he held himself back. His mind momentarily filled with pictures of what could happen if the wrong kind of people found out about that rumour and believed it. You’d disappear and eventually come back to the Slat, carried by Matthias, with a knife in your heart, your body already cold, eyes open, beginning to rotten, your mouth opened in an eternal scream–
Kaz shook his head, forcing himself to stop thinking about that scenario.
“Rumours are dangerous,” he said, leaning towards you slightly. “Even ridiculous ones.”
You scoffed, waving your hand. “I know, but no one is going to believe something like that.”
Kaz withdrew, taking his cane and gripping the silver crow head. He wanted to tell you you’re off duty for a while. He wanted to claim he needed help in office work, which would bind you into Slat for a few weeks. He wanted to find whoever is spreading this rumour and warn them off, threaten them. Maybe even break their legs to ensure they won’t sing about it.
But even if that would work, and Kaz knew it would, it could be a sign that the rumour actually had truth to it. It would make him look weak, even if that person would never tell about his visit.
You got the drink and downed it, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, before you looked at Kaz again. “Do you have any tasks for me? If not, Inej said she’d like to have company when she goes to run an errand but if you have something more important to do, I’ll pass on that.”
Kaz clenched his jaw, staring at his still full glass of kvas. “No.” Be careful.
You nodded and disappeared to the crowd, and Kaz told himself to not look at you walking away. And as soon as your steps faded, he downed the drink and stood up, making his way to the attic. He needed to take his mind off of… this, whatever it was.
But of course, on his way, he came across Jesper waiting by Wylan’s door, spinning his other revolver. Kaz already saw from Jesper’s grin what he was going to say, that he had also heard the rumours. “Hey, Boss. Word is you’ve got a crush on our Sunshine the Second.”
Kaz cocked an eyebrow at him. “What makes you think that?”
Jesper stopped spinning his revolver and shrugged. “Well. It’s been obvious for all of us for a while. I suspected it, so I told Nina, and she listened to your heartbeat while our star Sunshine was around, and–”
“And nothing,” Kaz barked. “Whatever you have heard or understood, is not true.”
Jesper cackled, and Kaz wanted nothing more than to stuff the handle of Jesper’s beloved revolver into his throat at that moment. But it was more because he realised everyone knew. His Crows, at least, knew.
When Jesper stopped cackling, his tone was more serious. “But hey, I understand that this… thing isn’t a good thing to be circling around. If you want some of us to go uh, find out who put the rumour to circle in the first place, just tell us.” He winked. “And of course, no telling your beloved.”
Kaz thought, staring at Jesper. He wanted to keep denying it, tell Jesper everyone are idiots, doubt Nina’s skills as a heartrender. But he knew that nothing would work anymore, everything would just confirm their every suspicion, those that were true and those that were not true.
So he nodded. “Deal with it. Quietly.”
Jesper nodded in return. “Always, boss.”
And when Kaz continued ascending the steps, he could almost hear Jesper’s grin. If there had been some doubt in Jesper’s mind, now there most definitely wasn’t.
Kaz knew that his Crows knowing except for you was miles better than the whole Ketterdam knowing. If everyone knew, or if such suspicions would rise to any extent, they would inevitably eventually go straight to rivaling gangs. And at that point, depending on how stupid they were, they could follow the rumour just in case and ambush you.
They would be stupid because if you were killed by a gang, Kaz wouldn’t rest before each one’s guts had painted every wall of their past territory, but they would also be smart because they’d take away the one thing Kaz truly cared about in this world, and it would be the second time around. Kaz wasn’t sure if he would ever recover, which would potentially make him weak in a way, maybe even suicidal with his hunger for bloodshed. He could be the most feared person in all of Kerch for a few weeks, but constantly throwing himself in situations he could get killed would eventually kill him. It could even be his goal, to die fighting and take as many of his enemies with him before that.
But after those little gossipers would be getting caught and warned off, things would maybe become better, and Kaz would be able to forget about this whole mess.

GRISHAVERSE CHARACTERS WHEN YOU FALL ASLEEP ON THEM
Shadow and bone / six of Crows
MALE READER (can also be read as gn)
Characters: Alina Mal Genya Nikolai Kaz Inej Jesper Nina Wylan Matthias
*Mostly based on the show as I'm only in the middle of Siege and Storm
Tumblr media
ALINA- you were both very tired, riding in a carriage led by horses. Alina was starting outside the window when she felt a weight on her shoulder, turning her head she saw you with your eyes closed asleep on her. Smiling to herself she moved a little so you'd be more comfortable and spread a little warmth through you so you won't be cold. She tried staying as still as possible in the carriage to not wake you up.
Tumblr media
MAL- you were both drinking some kvas and talking nonsense outside your tent while everyone else were asleep. As he stared into the sky talking about keramzin memories he was interrupted by your head falling on his shoulder. "Do I bore you this much?" He barked out a laugh, watching your sleepy face and moving to a more comfortable position. He decided to let you sleep a little more before waking you up and returning to the tent.
Tumblr media
NIKOLAI- you were hanging out in his ship quarters with a few other ship mates, his arm hang around your shoulders when he felt your body leaning towards his own, your hair tickling his neck. He watched you in amusement while Tamar and Pryvet were telling a story about a past adventure, tightening his arm around you.
Tumblr media
GENYA- you both were sitting on a sofa in your room at the little palace, genya talking about her day and (rightfully) complaining about the queen, with a tea cup in her hand. When she asked you about your opinion, not hearing an answer she glanced at you finding out you were asleep. She presumed you were just leaning against her as you often did, but to her surprised you were just passed out from the tiring day as a grisha in the little palace. Smiling softly she carefully helped you fully lay down on the sofa, and left you to your rest.
Tumblr media
KAZ- you were sitting in his room trying to form the next step leading to the fall of Pekka Rollins when he felt a slight weight on his shoulder. He immediately tensed up frozen in place. He tried calling your name hoping you'd wake up but unfortunately for him you didn't. He wanted to shrag you off, and he would've if you didn't know each other for a very long time. It felt weird, anxious but also a little comforting. He stayed like this still as a statue for a few minutes before slightly tapping you on your arm to wake you up.
Tumblr media
INEJ- you were both sitting outside in silence wanting some peace and quiet from the loud tavern when inej felt your head slip down to her shoulder. She smiled softly, studying your face; feeling the urge to let you stay like this forever. Unfortunately it was getting late and unsafe outside, so she had to wake you up, but she really enjoyed those few minutes of you together.
Tumblr media
JESPER- you were sitting at a table in the barrel watching people drink, talk and play, when you felt the tiredness creeping up on you "don't you dare fall asleep and leave me alone in this boredome" said Jesper while holding some sort of drink on his hand. "I'm not asleep" you perked up at the accusation, taking a sip of your own drink you left on the table. As the time passed on, you stopped answering Jesper's questions and observations. "Not asleep my ass" he snored, finishing the rest of his drink and helping sleepy you stand up and go to your room.
Tumblr media
NINA- you were sitting on soft cushions near a window watching the snow. You rented a small room and decided to lit a fire and warm up a bit. You were both quiet, enjoying the outside view and the inside warmth, wrapped together in furrs. You slowly fell asleep, head tilted back when Nina noticed you're not awake, laughing quietly she guided your head on her shoulder, tightening the furr around you two.
Tumblr media
WYLAN- wylan was mixing some stuff together when you called him to take a break and join you on the sofa, petting the empty space besides you. After a few protests he finally agreed and sat down next to you, your arm wrapping around him. Drawing him closer you kisses his head, nuzzling your nose to his wild hair, feeling sleepy. He was telling you about what he was making when you slowly started shifting away to sleep. When he noticed he smiled trying not to move his head too much as your head was on his. He was just sitting there squished between you and the sofa, and eventually fell asleep too.
Tumblr media
MATTHIAS- he was sitting all grumpy away from the rest of the crows when you approached him. "Mind if I join you" you asked not waiting for his answer and sat down besides him. "Why do you ask if you're going to do that anyway" he scowled. You shrugging your shoulders leaning against him and observing everything that was going on in front of you. Announcing you were tired, you tilted your head to rest on his shoulder, instantly falling asleep. Looking at you Matthias sighed annoyingly, but let you stay mumbling something in Fjerdan.

I HAVE NO HEART. (NI WEH SESH) -K.B
Pairings: (Kaz Brekker x heartrender!reader)
A/N: Hello beautiful people! This fiction is based off clearly the season two, episode six from the Shadow & Bone series. There are some exact quotes from the episode because for the plot of the storyline. As a reminder, I don’t own Y/N and other characters and all rights go to beautiful Leigh Bardugo… I just love the write fanfics! Anyways, this is the only way I would write touching scenes with Kaz. And I loved watching that episode, it was amazing. The way the actors played very well… And I thought why wouldn’t Y/N be in it? Hope you enjoy it! Have a nice reading!
Word Count: 4.540
Warnings: Violence, poison, and no hates to Zoya, I love her but in the story, it is a bit different.
Tumblr media
“There is something in the air!” Tolya said it with a haze of a worry. As all of you looked at the ceiling, you saw a red powder spreading across the room. “This is how we die?” Jesper exclaimed anxiously.
Suddenly a strong cough filled your throat. Your lungs were filling with the poisonous powder, when you turned your head to your side, you saw Jesper as he blacked out and collapsed into the floor. As you backed away, still coughing like the others, you leaned on the ground and put your hands on your heart.
As Tolya and you shared a glance, both of you were stabilizing your heartbeats. You glanced to Inej as she passed out and a loud thump came out from Kaz, as you looked at him he fell on the floor harshly. You feared that this moment might be all of your death.
-
The Slat was quiet unusually. You scoot over from Nina’s side and sit down on the high chair. You were eating some breakfast, as you felt growling inside your empty stomach.
While you were eating, two person came inside to the Slat. As you looked at them, the man had a strong physique and wore off-shoulder leather coat. He looked mighty. As you turned to the girl he was with, she looked oddly familiar. Had dark brown eyes match with her dark brown hairs. Her expressions were cold and still. While the guy looked rather cheerful. He was a Shu also. Then as you examined the girl further you realized it was Zoya. Zoya Nazyalensky.
As they beelined to the Kaz’s office, you exchanged a look with Nina. “Why is Zoya doing in here?” She asked confused. “I have no idea.” You looked confused too, but you waited patiently for Kaz to come to the table you and Nina sat.
After several minutes, Kaz walked downstairs following with Zoya and that Shu guy. As they walked to the table you two were sitting, Kaz informed briefly why they were here. The Shu man, introduced himself as you learned his name was Tolya, he explained further about why they wanted your assistance on this plan.
As you listened patiently, Nina spat in disbelief. “The Neshyenyer? Sankta Neyar's blade?” Zoya looked at her reproachful. “So, you haven't forgotten what you were taught at the Little Palace.” She said teasingly. “Just your loyalty to Ravka.“ She turned to her glances to you too while she was talking with Nina.
You haven’t bothered to answer her as Nina jumped in. “Ravka? Or Kirigan? It didn't take him destroying a city for me to question my loyalty.“ She said a little louder.
As Jesper intervened to ask the payment, Tolya answered and Zoya explained further for Nina’s questions.
After Kaz finished the conversation with an agreement, you looked at Kaz briefly then turned your attention back to Zoya while she eyed you with a straight expression.
That was it, a new business, going to help the sun summoner to destroying the fold, in return got a paycheck of thousands of kruges. You went to your own room and packed a small bag for your tools. As Kaz secured your passports, you went to meet them outside the Slat.
It was going to be an extremely dangerous quest. A difficult one, you were feeling it.
Before all of this happened, you were a heartrender, learning to control your abilities and studying small science in Little Palace. As soon as you were studying and under commands of General Kirigan, you realized that this place is degenerated.
You were friends with Nina, back then. As you two were both heartrenders, she was like a big sister for you. She supported you through everything you dealt about the Little Palace.
One day, you decided to tell her your plans. You were going to escape the Palace, you relied on Nina so much that you were so sure about that she wasn’t going to turn you in, as you went to her, you realized she was also making her escape plan too.
You two escaped the palace but unfortunately you grew apart as you found yourself in Ketterdam your dock sailed in. As that time, you and Kaz’s paths crossed. He found who you were and what was your abilities, then he offered you a salaried position. Because you were useful. Also, you needed money so you agreed his offer and worked for him.
After everything happened and your way’s crossed again with Nina, you were more than happy to see a friend.
As all of you finally docked in Shu Han, you looked at the crowd. The place looked beautiful. The crowd wore nice and unique clothes, the bazaar looked lively and relaxed, you turned to your head to Tolya as he lowered onto his knees, there was a thin candle in his hand as he looked at the statue decored with flowers and fruits. He was speaking in Shu language as you watched him.
You were standing next to Kaz and Wylan. Watching the scene as Inej lowered to her knees next to him, praying to herself. While Zoya and Nina did the same. As they began to speak to each other, you gazed through the colored fibers. It was too noise-full and the crowd looked messy.
Then Tolya got up and walked to where you all stood. There were flutes playing through. “Just so you know, it's bad luck not to honor the dead during Suntsa Sar.” He said it as he was eating walnuts and turned his gaze to the statue. Kaz side eyed the man as he was standing and looked pissed. Jesper scoffed and looked at Tolya.
“If I believed in luck, I'd be in less debt.“ Jesper said and you turned your gaze to Tolya. Kaz turned his face to his side and looked at Tolya coldy. He then said, “And I’m more concerned with the living.” You smirked to yourself hearing Kaz’s words. Always has a remark, you thought to yourself.
After Kaz said the tea shop should be open by now, he reviewed the plan one more time. Inside of your mind, deeply, you wanted to take Nina’s role. Pretending to be Kaz’s wife, for a brief selfish moment you wanted to feel it.
He wasn’t sentimental, how could he? If you are living in the Barrel you can’t have those ‘weak sentiments’ Kaz said always. It was a cruel joke to you, because you loved that man.
Over the time as your acquaintanceship bloomed into a friendship, you caught feelings for the very man who deprived himself from it. Despite he was denying the little feelings he has, you heard his heart.
After you two become friends, it wasn’t confirmed by him but it was there, you understood it, you subconsciously let yourself hear his heartbeat. It was impossible to not hear it. Whenever you met his dark eyes, you felt the heartbeats of his paced faster.
Or whenever he was in his office, writing things on papers or reading some books and planning heists, listening his heartbeat calmed your heart too.
But there were ups and downs. Whenever someone mentioned Pekka Rollins’s name or the nightmares he was having, you were the only one who knew about it, you heard his heartbeat got extremely fast which was worried you so much.
You wanted to help him, at those moments when you were near to him, those anxious feelings eased after seconds. He knew it was your doing. He never confronted you about it but sometimes it really did help him. You two never talked about any of this but Kaz was in fact, grateful.
They say the eyes are the mirror of the heart, maybe Kaz hid his true views by training himself but his heart was never hiding himself to you.
But most of the time, he hated it. How you can able to hear his heartbeat, his pulse, it was giving him away to you, he wanted to keep the disguise. Because disguise is always a self portrait.
Nina was pretending to be his wife, Inej was on the roofs for following Ohval and you were left to stuck with Zoya.
-
After what happened in that tea shop, all of you sat into a place and talked about what happened. Kaz explained about how Ohval was the Disciple and Nina said how she was able to control her own heartbeat. Kaz explained further.
Then Kaz began to explain the plan. He glanced at Nina briefly. “While she's out of the house, Nina will tail her to make sure she stays out of the house.“ Then she looked at you for a moment. “The rest of us will grab the blade. “ He said.
Zoya intervened in quickly and looked at Kaz with an annoyed expression. “You don't seriously expect me to break into this woman's house.“ Jesper looked at her unbelievably then he joined the conversation. Uh, why do you think we're here?“ He said it confusedly.
Zoya looked at Jesper, “I'm a soldier, not a thief. Why else would I need you criminals?” She said it with an arrogance in her face visible.
You looked at her as you rolled your eyes. “Well, sorry to disappoint you Zoya but there is not much of a difference between them than you think.” You looked at her with coldness as Nina chuckled to ease the tension. “Says the girl who ran away from her country.” Zoya said as you were about to reply back to her, Zoya turned to Kaz. “I’ll go with Nina.”
Nina coughed while she was eating some walnuts. “Are you sure you don’t need me?” She said to Kaz. “I mean, Zoya can tail Ohval.” You watched Nina as you grinned. Kaz was done with the silly arguments you two had with Zoya. “Nina and Zoya will wait for Ohval at the apothecary. Follow her. If she starts heading home, buy us some time. Distract her.” With that Kaz put an end into that conversation, again.
-
Now it was the time for the plan. You and the others walked to the outside of Ohval’s house. The building looked very much traditional, as you were thinking like that, Tolya voiced your thought. You looked briefly at Kaz. You were wondering what he was thinking.
As Jesper approached to Wylan’s side, you heard a faint heartbeat. Tolya must’ve heard it too, he and you shared a glance. He said there was a faint heartbeat and you agreed.
When the doors opened you, Kaz, Inej, Tolya and Jesper entered inside whilst Wylan was standing outside for all of you. As you heard a click sound, you turned to your back and look at the door.
Inej and Tolya both tried to open the door with their hands after it was no use, they kicked the door and it was useless. You heard a groan from them. Then as Inej tried to stabbed the wallpaper but it was no use, it was impenetrable and then you looked at Kaz. “Kaz what do we do?” You whispered to him.
Kaz, as he clanged his cane into the door he looked at you then Jesper. “The frames are made of metal.” As he said it Jesper looked relieved for a moment. “They are Durast made.”
As you heard another click sound, “There is something in the air!” Tolya said it with a haze of a worry.
-
You tried, you tried too hard to stay awake. You were yelling Wylan’s name but it was no use, it felt like your voice sounded mere whisper. You looked at Tolya which he tried to also yell for Wylan.
Then as you turned your glance towards Kaz and saw him laying there unconsciously, your vision got blurred and the next thing you felt the dizziness and the pain in your head.
You found yourself back in the Crow Club. You looked around… it was empty. There were no heartbeats you could feel. A slight worry took you over as you hurriedly walked to Kaz’s office.
You opened it without knocking. When you entered the inside of his office, there was only a dim light, lightening his desk.
“Hello, Y/N.” You heard Kaz’s crooked voice. How could that be possible? You haven’t heard his heartbeat and you still couldn’t. “Kaz?” You looked at him as your eyebrows furrowed. He was wearing a white shirt, very unusual for him.. He would only wear black outfits. He looked too angelic to be true, as you drank his appearance.
His faint skin looked brighter as he wore white shirt, his hair disheveled and his gloves… As he approached to your side, he was slowly getting rid of his gloves. “What are you doing?” You whispered worriedly. You knew he had an aversion to touch and you felt anxious as he was taking his gloves off.
“Can I?” He was asking for your consent to touch you, as his hand raised to side of your cheek, you didn’t understand what was happening but before your mind could protest, the feelings inside of you thought different. “Yes.” You found yourself saying.
Kaz’s hand slowly caressed your cheek and you closed your eyes for a brief moment. It was so strange yet so familiar to you, feeling his touch, it was a feeling that you wanted to bottle and drink away.
Then you opened your eyes and looked at him. His gaze never left yours as you looked at him. “I… want you, Y/N.” As your bodies pressed together, you looked at him with tears forming in your eyes.
“Kaz…” You whispered softly. “I, I-“ You felt shattered as his nose touched with yours. You closed your eyes and felt your lips be touched by his. It blossomed flowers inside your chest as you felt the foreign feeling. It was new but something happened through the haze of love, you coughed.
You looked at him as your eyebrows crossed in a confused glance. “You are not Kaz.” You said as you looked at your environment. This place wasn’t his office anymore, suddenly you found yourself in Little Palace, in Kirigan’s room. “How’s my little heartrender doing?” Kirigan said it smoothly as he looked at you devilishly. “What is happening?” You sounded afraid.
He then approached to your side. “Did you miss me, Y/N?” He smirked. Then he grabbed your hand. “Let go of me!” You resisted but it was no use, he was strong and you became that girl. That little girl who was yanked away from their family and trapped in Kirigan’s arms. “You cannot escape from me, Y/N, you know it.”
You tried to yank your hand away from him. To use your heartrender abilities to get him down but it was no use. “Maybe, you want this huh?” He looked at you as feelings of betrayal crossed his eyes. Then he let go of you and pulled his hand in the air as Kaz appeared in the door. “I’m going to destroy him!” Kirigan said.
“No!” You yelled as the time you put your hands up and waved it in the air, Kirigan’s shadow cut already killed Kaz, you were late.
“Y/N!”
You heard a voice.
“Y/N! Come on, wake up!”
-
Inej was the first one to wake up from the nightmare of the poison, she could able to reach Wylan and as Wylan could explode a small hole in the wall, he gave Inej butterflies.
Inej, as she ate the butterfly as Wylan said it, she felt disgusted. Nearly she was going to throw up however after a few seconds, she felt better. “Wylan..” She whimpered. “We need four more.” She said it in pain.
Inej put the butterfly in Tolya’s mouth as she forcefully made him chew the butterfly. As Tolya woke up with a disgusting taste in his mouth, Inej went to Wylan’s side and took one more butterfly from him.
Then she gave it to Tolya. “Tolya, Jesper. Put it in his mouth.” As Inej said it, she went away and took one more butterfly from Wylan’s hand.
She hurriedly scoot over the Y/N’s side and opened her mouth with her hand. “Come on, Y/N, eat.” As she forcefully tried to made her eat the butterfly, “Y/N, Come on, wake up!” Inej yelled and tears formed in her eyes, after several seconds, you woke up and met Inej’s face. “Inej?” You looked at her confused and you turned your gaze to the room.
You weren’t there inside the Little Palace, it was the poison. Then Inej got up from your side and took the last butterfly and approached to the Kaz’s side, as your eyes followed Inej, she forcefully tried to put the butterfly into Kaz’s mouth, but it was no use.
Something was keeping him from there and he was too tense to eat the butterfly. You looked at Kaz as tears brimmed in your eyes, you closed your eyes for a second as you remembered the cut, you opened and rushed to Inej. “Let me try,” You said desperately.
When Inej gave you the butterfly, you looked at Kaz’s closed eyes. “Don’t leave me, please.” You whispered to yourself. You opened Kaz’s mouth and tried to make him eat the butterfly, it was hard and he was struggling to eat it. “Kaz, Come on!” Your voice was dangerously loud as a tears dropped from your eyes. “I’m not gonna lose you, not today!”
You yelled to him as you tried to make him eat the butterfly.
-
“Who are you without your vengeance?” Jordie screamed at Kaz as his face looked too pale and there were inflammation marks all over Jordie’s face. “What is the worth of life if you have no one left to fight for?” Jordie said it with sadness, after completing his sentence the anger inside of him came back and his eyes light up with fire.
He drowned Kaz into the water again and Kaz’s felt the utter pain inside his body all over again. The feeling of his lungs feeling with water, utterly panicked him.
Then he heard a voice. It was not Jordie’s. Muffled but not his. It was a girl voice. “Kaz, come on!” She yelled, then as the hands pulled him back, he looked at the very face of Y/N.
The way her eyes looked too worried for him, the way her touch calmed his heart and as the way she pulled him, he looked so relieved to see her.
“Kaz, I’m so sorry,” She said as Kaz’s eyes opened. For a moment, Kaz didn’t feel Y/N’s touch on his face as his eyes met with hers, a sincere relief could be seen by anyone.
But Kaz remembered. The feeling of wet dead bodies flashed into his mind and suddenly he struggled under Y/N’s touch, Y/N hurriedly backed away from him and closed her eyes.
“Is anyone alive?” You heard Wylan’s worried voice. After Tolya and Inej briefly talked, you got up and avoided to look at Kaz. His back was turned from all of you. You got up slowly and looked at Inej. “Did anyone else get lulled into a comforting sense of joy?” Jesper said as his voice cracked, his eyes got teary.
“I didn’t see anything.” Kaz said it coldly as you looked at him. He breathed heavily then Inej briefly glanced at him. “Neither did I.” You didn’t comment on what you saw, you just dodged the question.
“Alright, what’s the plan?” Tolya said.
-
After Kaz came up with a plan, Ohval walked in and all of you laid down and pretend to be unconscious. She opened the door and looked at all of you. Inej, was on the ceiling and she landed silently. While she was about to pull her knife, Ohval kicked her to the backyard.
Inej got up and pulled her knives. She threw them into Ohval but as Ohval put her hand up, she pushed the knives to the ground. Inej looked at Ohval with a terrified look.
Then all of you got up from the ground. Tolya, Jesper and you hurriedly ran to the backyard as Kaz went inside of the house. Inej threw several knives into Ohval but she was too quick to dodge Inej’s knives.
As Tolya, you and Jesper went to Inej’s side, Jesper and Tolya raised his gun to Ohval, you put your hands up waiting.
Ohval threw Tolya’s gun only a movement of her hand, then she looked at Jesper and warped Jesper’s guns.
When you saw what happened, you curled your hands and showed it to Ohval. Trying to slower her heartbeat into a dangerous rhythm. Tolya also raised his hands to join you but Ohval raised her hands and pulled all the knives in Inej’s waistcoat. She turned the weapons into your way.
It was too quick.
Tolya grunts, all of you dodged the knives. “Seriously offside.” Jesper said as he was very pissed about Ohval’s movements. She threw her hair accessory to Jesper’s neck as she tried to chock him with it. Tolya approached to Ohval’s side and he pulled a punch towards her but she defended herself too quickly. She punched Tolya’s arm while Inej also did a counter on Ohval. Ohval pulled away from Inej’s fist and turned to both of them.
As both Tolya and Inej tried to takedown Ohval, Jesper was still trying to not choke. You raised your hands quickly and curled it to target Ohval. As you were trying to air out of her lungs, she quickly punched both of them to the ground and raised her hands to you.
The next minute you knew, you were choking from loss of air, inside of your lungs. Your vision got blurry, Tolya and Inej looked at you briefly then they attacked Ohval again. As you felt ease, you breathe again. It was deep and, you were hurting.
But she was too strong. She kicked Tolya down and Inej threw her kick into hers but Ohval took her leg and threw her to the wall. You got up and tried to punch Ohval but she quickly dodged the punch and kicked you to the ground.
Inej took her knife as Ohval took one of hers. She tried to stab Inej but, Inej was able to dodge them. As she fought back to Ohval, it was no use. Ohval took her down and tried to stab the knife into Inej’s chest. She was resisting but she couldn’t hold it forever.
Tolya got up slowly as he begged for Inej’s life.
Then suddenly there was an explosion.
Zoya, Wylan and Nina came in just in time. Zoya curled her hands up and hit it Ohval with it. Ohval fell on the ground as all of you got up and and looked at Ohval.
You and Nina were giving Ohval a hard time. You two were trying to stop her heartbeat. But she was powerful, as she moved her hands to the side, all of you chocked.
Zoya gasped and all of you fell down with a movement of Ohval. “This is taking longer than I’d like… Perhaps, we end it.” Ohval said with a harshness in her voice. As she curled her hands, you felt your heart quickened. Your organs were hurting and your vision got blurry. You can only feel the pain and fear. You tried to resist it but she was too powerful.
“Fascinating, isn’t it?” Ohval said with a smirk. “The amount of trace metal there is in the body. Iron, for instance in the blood.”
As she was killing all of you, the sound of an old man came into the backyard. Ohval put her hands down as she released all of you.
You slowly got up from the ground, you saw Kaz. You felt shocked as you heard from Kaz that the Disciple was the man, not her.
Kaz smirked as he looked at Ohval. When the man in chair revealed he stole the Neshyenyer for her and that it belonged to her in the first place, Jesper stepped in. “I’m sorry did you say she made it?” he said.
As the older man got off from the chair and approached to her, he was telling about how she made it. Then Tolya smiled and completed his words.
He chuckled softly. “And it was named Neshyenyer, ‘Relentless.’” He then fell into his knees. “We are honored to be in your presence, Sankta Neyar.” He said as all of you, expect Kaz, fell into your knees for her. “Sankta Neyar?” Inej said surprisingly.
-
After Jesper took the blade from Sankta Neyar’s house, all of you walked off from her house. It was early hours of morning as the sun appeared in the sky, you took a fresh air into your lungs.
As Jesper was with Wylan, he was kissing him. While Nina, Zoya and Tolya walked away from the house. You, Inej and Kaz walked away too. As you squeezed gently Inej’s arm, Kaz looked at both of you.
Inej then turned her head to Kaz. She smiled softly and looked at you. “I’m gonna check in Jesper.” She squeezed your hand and walked away from the two of you.
You and Kaz walked silently as Inej left your side. After a minute of silence, Kaz broke it. “You never told, what you saw.” You looked at him in a shocked expression. You didn’t expect him to remember it.
“You didn’t see anything, maybe I didn’t see too.” You answered it as you tried to brush it off. But then Kaz stopped in his tracks and turned his body to you. “Maybe I did see something, through the haze of poison.” He admitted as when you hear his heartbeat, it got quicken. You looked at him deeply.
“There are those who drown us, and those who pull us out.” He looked at you deeply as he said these words. You felt blush crept into your cheeks as you watched him. For a brief moment you closed your eyes. “Maybe I did see something too.” You revealed weakly.
He looked at you with a visible concern in his face. “What did your toxin trip reveal to you?” He said it curiously. You then opened your eyes and felt tears in your eyes. Kaz’s eyebrows furrowed and you smiled softly. “My reason to live and my biggest nightmare. All in the same place.”
The reason you live because of Kaz.
The biggest nightmare was Kaz’s death.
Kaz looked at you, for a brief moment his eyes soften because of the tears in your eyes. “But it doesn’t matter, now, we are alive.” You said softly and turned your body and looked at the sky. Kaz, watched your face as you looked at the sky.
He saw living saints but none of them mattered to him. The only saint he believed in was standing next to him. The only one to be there for him through his nightmares and everything.
He would become a better man for her. He would be a better man, for her.

Before the war. Before Alina. Before the tears and the bloodshed, the broken promises and battlefield graves, there was you and Aleksander.
And in those rare, unguarded moments, you were his everything.
He never told you, not in the way you wanted. Not in those three simple words that you sometimes caught in your throat but never dared say first. He was never reckless with his affections, never careless. To love Aleksander was to navigate a maze of secrets and silences, to learn the language of his looks and half-said things.
But you learned it. Gods, you learned it well.
You saw it in the way his gaze lingered on you after every battle, quiet and searching, as if checking to make sure you were still whole. As if, should he blink, you might vanish like a wisp of smoke. He never said, I’m glad you’re alive. He just stepped closer, calloused fingers brushing a smear of soot from your cheek like it was the most natural thing in the world.
You felt it in the way your hands would find each other across the war table, beneath the weight of maps and schemes and blood-red pins. Sometimes your fingertips would just barely touch, his pinky brushing yours, tentative, as if he wasn’t sure he was allowed to need this.
And when you didn’t pull away, he would exhale. Just a little. Just enough to shatter you.
Nights were hardest.
The war room would grow quiet, the others long since retreated, and it would just be the two of you, slumped in tired chairs, candlelight trembling on the edge of exhaustion. He would sit with one arm resting over the back of your chair, legs brushing yours beneath the table. You’d talk in murmurs, both of you too weary to raise your voices. He’d trace lines in the wood grain with his fingertip, his other hand reaching, then retreating, then reaching again until it found yours. Ghosting over your knuckles. Holding. Loosely. Desperately.
Once, you asked him what frightened him.
He didn’t answer. Not at first. But he stared at the flame between you with that endless, ancient sorrow in his eyes. And then he whispered, like a confession: “I don’t need a sun summoner.” He turned his head to you slowly, voice barely audible. “I need you.”
A pause.
“You see me, Y/N. You don’t flinch from the darkness.”
You should have known, then. That he thought of the darkness as a part of himself. That he loved you because you didn’t fear it, because you were willing to stand inside it, even when it swallowed everything else.
And you, fool that you were, believed him.
You believed in him.
Not just in the version of Aleksander the others saw, the Black General, the feared summoner of shadows. But in the man behind the mask. The boy who had carried centuries of pain on his back. Who had lost too much to trust easily.
You saw that boy. And you loved him. Fiercely. Silently.
You stood by his side when others turned away. When the whispers of fear wound through the Little Palace like ivy, when the servants trembled at the flick of his hand, when even the Grisha flinched from the shadows curling like smoke at his heels, you were the one who stayed.
You didn’t cower. You didn’t question.
You reached for his hand.
And he let you.
He made you believe in the dream. In the Fold as salvation instead of damnation. He spoke of control, of peace, of a new world where Grisha wouldn’t have to kneel or bleed to be safe. And every word he breathed into you felt like fire and purpose and inevitability.
When his eyes gleamed with vision, you followed without hesitation.
When he made hard choices, you defended him.
When others called him cruel, you called him necessary.
He didn’t demand your loyalty. That was what made it all the more tragic. He never needed to force you.
Because you chose him.
Every morning, when you woke up with his arms tangled in yours. Every night, when you kissed the silence behind his eyes and pretended it wasn’t growing. Every time he turned to you and asked, in that low voice laced with weariness and fear: “Will you stay?”
And you always said, “Yes.”
Because you thought the darkness could be held in your hands. Because you thought love was enough. Because you thought he would never ask you to become something you couldn’t live with.
But love like that, love wrapped in grief and blood and war, it rots.
And one day, you looked at the man you loved and realized he was no longer reaching for the light. He was building a kingdom inside the shadows, brick by brutal brick, and asking you to rule it with him.
And you wanted to. Gods, you wanted to.
But not like that. Not at the cost of who you were.
So you did the one thing you had sworn you never would. The one thing you knew would break his heart in a way no blade ever could.
You walked away.
And the worst part was— He didn’t stop you. He just watched you go.
Like maybe— Maybe he always knew you would.
-----------
Alina changed everything. Not immediately. Not like a blade or a blow. She came like a sunrise you didn’t see until it was already painting your skin gold.
You remember the first time you saw her. Just a girl. Thin. Unsure. Dressed in too-big kefta and too-small dreams. You pitied her, at first.
She was not powerful. Not then. She looked like a child thrust into the jaws of something ancient and unrelenting, and for a time, she clung to you like a lifeline. You held no resentment toward her, why would you? She was no threat. She was soft where you were honed, unshaped where you were forged by years beside a man made of shadows and steel.
But Aleksander looked at her… differently.
You told yourself it was curiosity. You told yourself it was strategy.
He was still yours.
He still came to your chambers in the dead of night, tired and worn, and sank into your bed like he was seeking peace only you could give. Still whispered things into your ear, plans, fears, fragments of himself no one else would ever be allowed to touch.
Still curled himself around you with a desperation that felt like drowning. Still kissed you like he was afraid it might be the last time.
But you felt the shift before you saw it.
It began slowly.
He started missing your shared war councils. Sending messengers in his place. Started sleeping less, coming to you only when the guilt of something he wouldn’t name overwhelmed him.
And then he began lying.
Small things at first. Distractions. Half-truths. The kind of lies you only recognize in hindsight. He stopped telling you where he went. Stopped looking you in the eye when you asked about her.
You wanted to believe it was nothing.
But one night, long after the others had gone to sleep, he came to you with an idea. Another amplifier.
He stood with his back to you, staring into the fire like it might answer for him. “She’s not strong enough yet,” he said, his voice calm. Measured. Almost too calm. “Not on her own.”
You watched the shadows dancing across his face and felt the first tremor of fear.
“She will be,” you said softly. “With time.”
But he shook his head. “Time is not a luxury we have anymore.” Then he turned.
“A second amplifier, Y/N. With it, she could control the Fold.”
He stepped toward you, cupping your cheek in his hand like it was the easiest thing in the world. Like he hadn’t just asked you to manipulate a girl who trusted you.
“She trusts you,” he said. “You could help her see it’s necessary.”
You froze.
Not because of the plan. Not because it was cruel. You had seen cruelty before, participated in it even, when the cause demanded it.
But because for the first time, you saw him using you.
He wasn’t confiding. He was calculating.
You tried to justify it. Told yourself it was war. Told yourself it was for Ravka.
But doubt had been seeded.
And doubt, once planted, grows quietly.
It was Alina who watered it. Not by intention, but simply by existing.
You watched her walk the halls of the Little Palace like a girl trying to shrink herself small enough to survive. You watched her cry when she thought no one saw. You watched her defy him, not out of hatred, but out of principle.
And it struck you with the force of a falling star: She hoped.
She believed in something beyond survival. Beyond fear. Beyond the burn of power and control.
She wanted to change the world, yes, but she didn’t want to conquer it. Not like him.
And not like you.
Because that was the truth, wasn’t it? You had become like him. You had stood in his shadow so long you forgot the warmth of your own light.
Until Alina reminded you.
And that terrified you more than anything.
You didn’t make your choice all at once. It happened in breaths. In silences. In all the times you looked at him and couldn’t recognize the man who had once pulled you from the wreckage of your worst days and whispered, I see you.
It happened the night he used the Fold as a threat.
You remember the air, how still it was. How quiet. How even the nichevo’ya seemed to hold their breath.
You stood on the cliffs, watching the darkness stretch like an omen across the sea. And you knew, without a doubt, that there was no turning back.
“Aleksander,” you whispered.
He turned to you.
He looked— Gods, he looked so young in that moment. Not in years, but in pain. Like a boy who had built his whole life around a single dream and now watched it unravel at the seams.
“Y/N,” he said, taking a step toward you. There was no command in his voice. No edge of threat. Just the aching disbelief of someone who thought love was armor.
“Don’t do this.”
“I have to.”
“No, you don’t.” His voice cracked. “You promised.”
You shook your head. Your hands were shaking. You remember that. He reached for you, and for a heartbeat, you almost let him.
But then you said it. The words that ended it.
“I can’t follow you into this kind of darkness, Aleksander.”
And something in him broke.
Not loudly. Not violently. But quietly. Like a star winking out. Like a flame extinguished between trembling fingers.
His eyes didn’t blaze with fury. They filled with grief. Ruinous, soul-deep grief.
And for a moment, you wished he would scream at you. Strike you. Curse you. Anything but look at you the way he did— Like you had just ripped out his last, fragile thread of humanity.
You left that night. You didn’t look back. You couldn’t.
But sometimes, when the nights grew too long and your bed too cold, you could still feel him beside you. Still hear the echo of his voice in your ear.
“You don’t flinch from the darkness.”
And it haunted you. Because once, it had been true.
And now— Now you wondered if the only person he had ever truly trusted had abandoned him in the one moment he couldn’t survive being left alone.
You wondered if he’d ever truly forgiven you.
You wondered— Could you ever forgive yourself?
-----------
The battlefield is silent.
Smoke coils upward from scorched trees like dying breaths. The earth is torn and broken beneath your boots—blood and ash soaked into the soil where hope once stood. Nothing moves now but the smoke, curling in ghostly ribbons through the ruined glade. The screams have long since faded into the wind, and the only thing that remains is the aftermath.
Alina stands at your side, still glowing faintly—light clinging to her fingers like a final defense. Her chest rises and falls with quiet, uneven breaths. The golden shimmer of her power is dim now, spent. Her face is smeared with dirt and grief and the weight of too many choices made too late.
Your heart beats heavy against your ribs.
And then, you feel him.
Before you see him. Before the others stir. Before even the shadows dare to move.
It’s not a sound. It’s not even a shift in the wind.
It’s a cold. A creeping, intimate cold. The kind that sinks into your marrow and coils there like a memory you can’t burn out. The kind you remember from nights pressed to his chest, watching his hands twitch with sleepless guilt, with power he couldn’t turn off.
You step forward before you know what you’re doing.
Alina tries to stop you, just a touch to your arm, barely more than a breath of skin on skin, but you shake your head once.
You have to see him.
You owe him that much.
And there he is.
Emerging from shadow like a revenant.
No army behind him. No armor on his shoulders. No crown of black to remind the world of what he’s become.
Just Aleksander. Clad in battle-worn black, the hems of his kefta singed and torn, his skin pale like the first snow of winter. His hair is damp with sweat and soot. His eyes, gods, his eyes, look like they’ve seen every war, every betrayal, and still somehow weren’t prepared for this one.
And when he sees you, he doesn’t flinch. He doesn’t raise his hands. Doesn’t summon the shadows writhing at his feet.
He just stops.
Stares.
And the look on his face—
Not rage.
Not triumph or vengeance or fury.
But grief.
Raw. Quiet. Unending.
Like he’s been carrying it since the night you left, and he’s finally run out of strength to hide it.
His voice slices the silence like a wound.
“You said…” His throat works as if the words cost him. “You said you’d stand with me. Until the end.”
And oh, how it breaks something inside you.
You open your mouth, but your voice doesn’t come right away. It catches in your chest, snagging on the thousands of memories pressing against your ribs.
You force yourself to meet his eyes.
“I know.”
His face doesn’t change. But the grief deepens. Cracks further.
“Then why,” he asks, barely louder than the wind, “are you on their side now?”
The question hits harder than any blade. Harder than the Fold ever could. Because it’s not strategy behind his voice. Not bitterness. It’s heartbreak. It’s you.
You’ve imagined this moment. Played it in your mind over and over, how it might go. How you might argue. Fight. Beg.
But not this.
Not him, standing here like the ghost of every good thing that never survived the war.
Not him, looking at you like you’ve broken the last part of him that still believed in love.
You swallow hard.
“I stood with you when no one else would,” you whisper, the words trembling with the weight of the truth. “I believed in you. I believed for you, even when you couldn’t. But I can’t stand against the world beside you, Aleksander. Not like this.”
He doesn’t move. Doesn’t speak. But you see it, the flicker of something in his eyes.
Something ruined.
“The world hates us, Y/N,” he breathes. “It fears what it doesn’t understand.”
“And we were going to change that,” you say, stepping forward. “We dreamed of a future where the Grisha wouldn’t have to hide. Where children like us wouldn’t be broken to fit into cages. But you—”
Your voice cracks.
“You started believing the only way to save us was to own the world that hurt you.”
He shakes his head. Once. A slow, almost imperceptible denial.
You see it in him, that last desperate hope that this is all a nightmare. That you’ll come back. That this isn’t the moment everything truly ends.
He steps closer.
“You left me.”
It’s not an accusation. It’s a confession.
And you feel your throat close.
“I didn’t want to,” you breathe. “I stayed as long as I could. I begged you, Aleksander. I tried to pull you back, I tried.”
“You were the only thing,” His voice shatters, “That made me human.”
Your heart stumbles in your chest.
Tears sting your eyes.
You shake your head, not in denial, but in grief.
“I loved you,” you say. The words spill out like a wound finally split open. “Gods, I still do.”
There’s silence.
So thick you can hear your own breath hitch.
Then—
He takes another step toward you. Closer now. His eyes searching yours like he’s drowning in them.
“Then come back to me.” It’s a whisper. A prayer. “It’s not too late.”
And for the briefest, most fragile second, the world stills.
You look at him, and you see everything.
The boy who was left behind a thousand years ago. The man who bled for his people. The lover who whispered your name in the dark like it was the only thing that tethered him to the earth.
But you also see the cost.
You see the Fold. The death. The manipulation. The boy who reached for power out of fear. The man who became a monster because he couldn’t bear to lose again.
You see the one person you could never stop loving.
And the one person you can’t follow anymore.
Your voice comes soft. Shaking.
“I can’t.”
He closes his eyes. Just for a moment.
When he opens them again, the shadows stir at his back. Not violent. Not sharp.
But slow. Soft. Like mourning veils.
“Then this,” he says, “is the end.”
Tears spill hot down your cheeks.
“Yes.”
He doesn’t scream. Doesn’t lash out. He just… folds in on himself. His face crumples, not with rage, but with something far worse.
Acceptance.
You almost take a step forward. Gods, you almost reach for him. Almost gather him in your arms and say to hell with the war, with right and wrong, with all of it.
But then Alina’s hand touches your arm.
Grounds you.
You watch as Aleksander turns, the shadows curling protectively around him.
And just before the dark consumes him, He looks back.
“I will never forgive you,” he says.
But his voice is barely more than a breath.
And your heart breaks again.
“I hope you do,” you whisper. “Someday.”
Then, he is gone.
And the silence left in his wake is the loudest thing you’ve ever heard.
-----------
Later, when the battle is over. When Ravka begins to rebuild, brick by bloody brick. When the Fold is finally gone, consumed by the very light he once feared.
You return to the ruins of the Little Palace alone.
The gates hang crooked on rusted hinges. The gardens are overgrown, reclaiming the silence with vines and wildflowers. The once-proud golden dome is cracked, and the halls echo with memories instead of footfalls.
His rooms are empty.
Not ransacked, just... still.
Dust coats the shelves where his books once lined in perfect order. The mirror is cracked, webbed with time. The fireplace where you once curled together during Ravkan winters is cold, gray with ash.
The bed where you once laid your head beside him is untouched. The pillows bear no indent, the blankets remain folded at the edges, like the past tried to preserve itself here, in defiance of what came after.
But it’s the desk that draws you in.
And there, beneath a thin layer of dust, perfectly centered as if waiting.
Is a single letter.
Untouched. Unopened.
Your fingers tremble as you reach for it.
You unfold it slowly, breath caught in your throat.
Y/N,
You said you couldn’t follow me into the dark. I understand that now. I only wish you had led me into the light instead.
I would have followed you. I would have burned the world for you.
And in the end, maybe that’s why we failed.
Forgive me.A.
You don’t make it to the end before the tears come.
Not the sharp, violent kind.
But the slow, aching kind. The kind that comes from a wound too deep to see, too old to heal.
You cry until your body is hollow, until the ache is no longer something you feel but something you are.
Because you loved him once.
With the kind of love that doesn’t fade. That etches itself into the bones.
And in some part of you, despite the war, the betrayals, the fire and shadow, you always will.
But love was never enough to save him.
Not from the world.
Not from the darkness that twisted his dreams into nightmares.
Not even from you.
You fold the letter carefully, tuck it against your heart, and leave the room as silent as you found it.
And behind you, the dust keeps falling, soft, slow, endless.

Also, don't let Jack's innocence fool you, that man is a real life Wylan and is a menace to society. He ate 15 burgers. Fuck you 🖕😑

Y/N Y/L/N: Here is a warning: I'm everywhere and I see all of you... Please keep doing God's work by making memes🤭
1. There is a reason why I chose Ben as Darkling, only one reason: He is the ultimate CEO of puppy eyes... A good way to manipulate people because I fell for it. And Leigh and I fought very hard for them to accept him already.
2. Apart from the fact that he killed innocents, manipulated kids and offered one to the Royal family, used many people and created the Fold alonsgide other War crimes... It seems my job is over *drops the mic and leaves the stage to go and write the New script, crying*
3. Real applause for Alina because I would have folded and accepted immediately.
P.S: Ben is getting ready to defend Darkling in his Insta story while avoiding me... And laying over my lap and making me play with his hair.

kittheyounger: When exactly are you going to stop sharing memes of us?
Y/N: Never? You should be grateful I'm not sharing every one of your's fetus photos and the ones I took to blackmail you later :)
archierenaux3: Couldn't be me hehe
Y/N: Keep living in your dreams :) @archierenaux3
User7: She is so real for the third slide 🤣
User9: Ben is so babygirl for her I can't-
User3: The way Y/N just terrorizes the entire cast with those childhood photos is too funny to me 😂
User6: That's some Queen behaviour... another day another slay from Y/N 💯
User1: She is known to have a talent for taking photos when no one sees and notices her so... For all we know, she could take photos of us and we still wouldn't know.
User5: And she only annoys the male cast members... 😌🤔I wonder why she doesn't do the same with others?
Y/N: They are my little babies and precious wives, they could do no wrong 🥰
Benbarnes: Talk about favouritism... And I'm her boyfriend.
Y/N: And they are my wives, so? 🤗

Y/N: Haven't you learnt nothing is safe with me?
BenandY/N.mommy: I CANT- Y/N IS FEEDING US AND I LIVE FOR IT

User3: The cast once said that Ben blushes the most when Y/N is near or the one who compliments him... My heart can't take it!
User6: I want what they have! ❤️
User3: They both had become so good to each other, especially Y/N... Seeing my baby happy makes me cry tears of joy 🥹
User6: I hope they will get married already! We need little Y/L/N- Barnes in our lives 🥲
User4: When can I get a Y/N or Ben in my life?
User2: And just like that, I'm scared for what's waiting for us and Matthias in SaB season 3...
User1: ıf people doesn't know... Y/N is very good at drama and slicing our hearts and squeezing it painfully with her emotional scenes and talent for shooting those scenes just... Diferrently.
User3: We are doomed... Like girl, who hurt you that much?
Y/N: Trauma, tears, sadness and more trauma are what's waiting for yall probably... Sorry🫣 And I love watching and reading heartwrenching things in general, no one hurt me so don't come at Ben😄😇
benbarnes: Thanks love... Your fans scare me...
User1: Suddenly, ıt's a need to see Kaz and Monopoly together
Y/N: You wouldn't want that... Freddie gets too absorbed in his character and we thought it was a good idea to do this... It didn't turn out well
User5: The way Ben is scared of Y/N's fanbase is very funny... *Evil laugh* Sir, you are dating our girl, millions are after your ass as soon as we see a tear on her pretty face 🙎🔪

shadowandbone: A toast for the best director ever! We are glad to have someone like you! And there is no way out of the Fold :)

User5: the whole Shadow and Bone cast looking at their director with heart eyes are making me jdkshdqkvwu🥰💞❤️😍🥺
User4: YEAH, THEY ARE SO LOVELY WITH EACH OTHER! BUT! Have you seen how Ben looks at her? I have been manifesting a man like hım over a decade now...
User1: Do you think she saw that fifth slide on Ben's Insta??
User4: Definetly! I wonder what her reaction was like...
Y/N: I was a Darklina hater my whole life until Jessie and Ben ruined it for me and made me just turn a blind eye... I regret making them shoot that scene but also not.
User2: OMG SHE ANSWERED
User1: she always does, another reason to live, laugh and love Y/N. Hı, Y/N!
Y/N: Hi, love! And btw yes, that video woke something in me... Which payed off iykyk 🤭
User6: when I learnt the whole cast, mainly Ben, was begging her to make a Marauders series is just... Wow... I hope she does that, she is the only one who could pull that!
User1: Remember when she said she would break the Net when the time comes? Might be it, who knows?🤔
User3: She also said she wasn't letting any of the cast go like that and had plans for every one of them... And that they were her slaves and had to do anything she told them lol
User4: People trust her with book adaptation because she always stays loyal to it, while also adding something from herself. It's normal everyone wants her to work on every book adaptation possible
User2: I wonder who she prefers the most: Kaz or Darkling?🤔
User5: Ben is her boyfriend so I think she would say Darkling because he would pout otherwise
User6: But she also said she often giggled and blushed while reading Kaz's point of view and specifically begged Freddy to audition
Y/N: The true question is: Are you a fan of terrifying blue eyes or deep, empty black eyes?
benbarnes: I'm forever lucky and grateful to have met you and be your boyfriend. I can never be proud enough of you since you have a habit of always exceeding yourself. I'll always be by your side through thick and thin, just as you do every day. You are my beautiful and succesfull girlfriend, my rock when I need you, my bestfriend when I need a good laugh and my other half and there is no enough words to explain my feelings but I'll stick to this one: I love you always. liked by Y/N Y/L/N
User1: And that's how you get away with eating a lady's last cookie 😂
User3: I'm not crying ıt's just their love in my eyes that stings 🥹
User5: I swear there is nothing I want more than see them getting married 😭

Ketterdam. City of the Damned. One may say that you haven't experienced all of Kerch until you've been here, and they're right.
The gambling, pleasure houses, and gangs had shaped the city into what it is today. I ended up here in the first place because I went on a boat from Ravka when I was only 15.
I was running from something, but I couldn't remember what. Whatever it is, it was buried deep inside me and is clawing to get out. My memories from my childhood seem hazy, only a blur of what I could recollect.
Whatever I was running from was waiting for an event to trigger it, just like a trap.
My 'unique' and 'different' powers had been a part of me since I could remember, even at a young age. I learned the hard way of what I am capable of.
The hard way was in experiencing the death of a few animals in my pre-teen years.
Now, it was nighttime, the prime of Ketterdam. Everyone was awake and going out to clubs, pleasure houses, bars, and whatever entertained them at night.
My hideout was in the abandoned part of a District with a not-remarkable name—the less known, the better. It wasn't far from the general stores I visited frequently for my goods, as I did earlier in the evening.
I tugged on my pocket and pulled a paper from my bag. It was a small job listing on a secret bulletin board I had gotten earlier in a hidden corner of Ketterdam. A board only the sharp-minded knew where to go, like a mind game.
The job listing was to find someone in particular, intentions unknown, but whatever paid well.
I began my walk by going to most of the gambling places that the Dime Lions owned. Looking at the paper in my hand, I feel someone bump into me—a clumsy mistake on my part.
I fall to the ground and see that they're to the left of me—someone with a bowler hat and two pistols in their holsters. I look at the hand offered to me and look up at him.
I realize my anxiousness of being unaware of my surroundings. He wouldn't want to be seen with a freak like me, even if he meant good intentions. I grab the paper and run off, not wanting his attention.
I push through the crowds, ignoring the heavy heartbeats coming out of my chest. I'm more worried about getting back to my hideout safely.
After passing the Crow Club, I turned right on an alleyway to catch my breath. I look both ways before removing my hood and crawling underneath one of the wagons to my underground hideout.
I jump down from the ladder and set the paper on my desk. Sitting on my makeshift bed, I take out everything I could pick up.
Some medicine, bread, and small decorations for my hideout.
I put everything away and looked at the job listing I had snatched earlier. I set the paper on the floor and sat in front of it.
My hands are on my side, and I slowly move my fingers and close my eyes, wrists facing upwards. I concentrate on the name on the paper.
Alastair Den Ouden.
I am taken to one of the higher-end gambling places in Ketterdam—one owned by someone who had a lot of play money and held power in Ketterdam. The environment around me and everyone is a very slowed-down blur. Time is moving very little, almost still. Their outfits and hair colors blur in the background, letting me focus on finding the person I need to complete this job.
Glancing around, I see someone who isn't blurred. That must be him. I slowly walk around the people and examine what he's wearing.
He wore a maroon jacket, a silver hat, black slacks, and big rings on his fingers, which mainly contained particular gemstones.
Emerald, topaz, opal, and alexandrite. It must have a personal meaning.
I walked closer to examine what would make this Alastair stand out. His hair was dirty blonde with one grey stripe on his left side and a beard just enough to make him be passed as a distinguished businessman—a trader of sorts.
It made sense why they wanted to find him. I snapped back to reality and felt something off. I looked around to make sure I was clear, but the second I moved, a blur ran in front of me.
I get up and back up to my wall. "What the hell? Show yourself!" Someone with a hood and face mask comes by my desk and sets down a knife in front of themselves.
"I'm not here for trouble." They pull off their concealment, and it's someone I've heard of before. The Wraith. She looks stunning.
The Wraith continues, "I'm here to seek you out and possibly offer an opportunity you may be interested in." I look down and cross my arms. I nod my head for her to continue.
"How would you feel about joining a part of a group I am in?" "I work alone. I don't like associating with groups, gangs, or anything of the sort."
"I saw you do that job."
I turn my head around and look at her. "Okay, Wraith, what do you know about me?" I ask. "You can find people without moving. It's awe-inspiring. I've been watching you for a few weeks. If I had come here on business terms, I wouldn't have been alone," she says.
"Y/N." She raises a brow. "Please, call me Y/N." I walk over to her and sense that I can trust her. I give her a reassuring half smile, and she returns it with a smirk.
"Inej. You know, people call you a Catalyst on the streets. But you're mostly a rumor, almost a myth. Small talk discussed among the people who seem like you could benefit this city."
I laugh and walk around the room. "I mean, it does have a nice ring to it." I see Inej pick up the knife on the floor and put it back on one of her holsters.
"If you don't mind me inquiring, are you Grisha?" I shake my head and offer her a cup of water. "Failed every test as a kid." I showed her the scar that the Grisha testers poked with on my dominant hand. They were convinced I was Grisha, Ana Kuya let the testers poke me like I was their lab rat.
I continued. "With my eyes, they thought it was a genetic trait, which is what I went with. Inej, I would like to tell you more about who I am and what I could do, but I need security."
I pull out a chair for her with my powers, sliding just before my bed. Inej sits down and adjusts her posture to listen closely to what I have to say. "If I tell you, you won't tell a soul... right?"
She clutches something on her hood and says, "I swear on it." My glance at the object around her neck reassures me. She brings her true intentions to this possible future arrangement.
"I have no label for what I am, and I enjoy having that. Knowing that there is no one else like me is comforting. My abilities are closest to Grisha's power, but I never call myself that. The orphanage I grew up in was small. But I would always practice my powers outside by myself, alone. I started around age nine truly harnessing what I am, and no one else would see."
I sigh and run a hand through my hair. "Finding people, moving things, breaking things, and making others see what I tell their mind to, is what I specialize in. Sometimes, I crave to belong with other people." I finish. Inej says, "The opportunity I have can aide you in your cravings."
I cross my legs and put a hand on my chin. "The people I am associated with, the one who runs the Crow Club, helped me. He allowed me not to be held back anymore."
I peek my head up in interest, and Inej continues. "I can have you meet him now."
"How long does this opportunity stay open for me, Inej? It is something that is a limited offer or can I decide at a later date?" Inej flicks with one of her knives in her hands, a simple trick.
"The sooner, the better. Meet me in the club by tonight. I'll be waiting to help. But... the choice is up to you, Catalyst."
She disappears in haste, and I sigh. What if this is a sign? It is a sign for me to take this new opportunity and explore the... unexplored.
I grab my handheld mirror and look at my eyes. There's no way this group would accept me. My use could be exploited for power or it could be good for me. I mean... look at me. I don't look Otkazat'sya or like Grisha.
A freak that wasn't supposed to be made for this world. Someone cursed.
~Inej~
The Crow Club was the next destination for me. After finding out more about Y/N, Kaz would want to know. Being able to find people without moving is especially impressive. I see she could be what Kerch needs—a saint of their own.
But I wouldn't let Kaz know about the personal details she told me. I swore to her I would only help. Like me, Y/N has a lot of potential, and I can empathize with and help her.
The rain hits hard, and I sneak into where Kaz would be now. I get in the room just fine and see him doing something at the table.
"Hello, Inej. What information do you have for me tonight?" He asks. "A lead on a job. A big one. Enough money to change lives."
"It doesn't take much to change someone's life in the Barrel." Now for the fun part. "A million kruge?"
I see Kaz's interest shift with his posture. Kaz asks, "What's the name?" "Dreesen. A wealthy merchant." "Dreesen. I've heard of him. He could afford it. The question is, what's worth a million kruge to him?"
I continue. "He's looking for a crew willing to cross the Fold into East Ravka and bring back something." "The Fold? Well, of course, certain death pays a million. He didn't say what he wants nicked?"
"No. But he's taking meetings tonight, starting at midnight." Kaz turns around and looks at me. "Tell me you followed him." He phrases this more as a statement than a question.
I say, "He brought someone in from a ship. Took a way back to his house in the Garden District to avoid attention. I would've followed him inside, but Dreesen's hired some private security. I would have had use to my knives to get closer."
Kaz says, "Private security. Anyone we know?" "A Zemeni man. I think his name is Tendo. You know him?"
Kaz nods. "Yeah. He gambled at one of Pekka's clubs. So I won't have leverage on him. But Pekka will." He goes into his office room, and I follow.
"Kaz, I got this lead from one of the girls at the Menagerie. But I met someone that could help us, someone not from the Menagerie."
Y/N has recently helped me see something in myself that our crew needs.
"I only invest in one of a kind. Now, tell me about them. Are they like you?"
I pull down my hood before continuing. "She is one like a Grisha, but not simultaneously. She can remotely find people without moving an inch, and she can move and break things without summoning like a normal Grisha. Y/-She can manipulate minds to see what she wants them to or spin fears in their mind to annihilate them. The girl doesn't need to connect her hands to do this."
Kaz pauses and looks down at the desk. "Let me guess. She's the Catalyst." I nod my head. "People think she's only a myth, but if you found her and tracked her... Then that's our well-needed advantage."
I smirk in victory. "So? What's our move now?" I ask. Kaz gazes at the newly acquired painting. The De Kappel. "You're the one of us who believes in a higher power. If we're going to survive a round trip through the Fold, we'll need a miracle or two—and the Catalyst."
Before I leave the room, I add to his comment. "She may be here in the club right now. A curious mind she is."
I leave to walk downstairs into the leading entertainment. I see glowing eyes come in and walk over to Y/N.
"So you did arrive." She nods and looks surprised and uncertain about the environment around her. I add, "I told the person who helped me about you. He seems interested."
Y/N furrows her brows together and looks around the room. Like a kid in a candy store. "So this is... the Crow Club."
~Y/N~
I turn around to see she's gone. She's good at that. Many tables had gambling games going on. I gazed at the playing cards, an insignia unique to this club, not standard like the others.
With the amount of different clubs and gambling places I have been in, this one seems the most interesting. It seems as if the atmosphere is pulling me in, wanting to know everything about the Crow Club.
A bar was the center of attention, and the space layout was adequate. I looked around my surroundings and saw a variety of people and cultures. The guy I ran into on the street sat at one of the tables.
I hear small thuds of a metal cane from my right and look over. They're wearing an all business outfit with a matching hat. My senses were going off in all directions.
I turn around to see his features more clearly. His eyes were a dark mahogany brown, his brown hair similar to the color of mocha.
His scent had a hint of coffee, and ink. But it mostly was an amber scent with a small bit of cedar that could drown me any day. I try to let my senses calm down again, and not distract myself from the handsome guy in front of me.
He immediately comes up to me and shows no expression or emotion. I feel an odd feeling down my spine and into my stomach. It gave me chills, the good kind. "You must be the Catalyst." I nod and reply, "You must be 'the one in charge.'"
He nods and motions his cane toward where we're walking. He starts the walk, and I quietly follow behind him.
We go into a quiet hallway, then into an office space. He sits in his extravagant chair just before his desk, and I stand before in front of him, needing answers.
Besides the alias of 'the Catalyst,' what do you go by?" He asks. "Y/N. Y/N Khaosa. And I would appreciate knowing your name because it seems you need something from me. Trust goes both ways."
He examines my expression before responding. "Kaz. Kaz Brekker."
~Kaz~
From the moment I laid eyes on Y/N, I had a feeling arise from my chest and into my face. Her indigo eyes were alluring, but looked dark enough to be considered as bastardly as I am.
Her outfit wasn't too revealing like many of the women wore in this district. It was simple, yet practical. Y/N knew how to perfectly balance business and her power, yet I am intrigued to find out more about it.
Her perspective on this city and the way she handled things was opposite of mine, but all similar at the same time.
She brought me a feeling that made the waters tide aggressive within me. I'd have to find balance if I want to know about her and keep my sanity at the same time.
~Y/N~
Even his name brought me butterflies in my stomach. "Inej told me the things you can do. A Grisha cannot do more than half of those things because they need a connection to manipulate an element. Yours sounds like it comes from within yourself, not needing something existing to manipulate. I'd say I'm quite impressed a diamond in the rough like you are out in Ketterdam."
Inej was honest. She is trying to help me. Kaz sends me a very faint half-smile.
I find a chair in the corner and motion my fingers. It goes in front of his desk, and I take a seat. I add, "What I've learned is that my mind fuels my powers. I was born with these abilities and harnessing them with my mind is how I control them."
Kaz's expression shifts. "It explains those jobs that you did." I never mentioned the jobs, not even to Inej. She only saw me do one. I gaze at Kaz and smirk. "Tell me about these 'jobs' then, Kaz."
"I've been putting small jobs on a hidden board in a corner of Ketterdam. Only smart-minded ones can find this board. They have all been completed within a fast, reasonable time."
Kaz was lurking me out of the shadows. "But I've noticed one thing with you, Y/N. You need their full name to find them, but I haven't heard much of your other ability."
"Making one see what I convince them? It's not how it sounds." I slightly laugh and stand up. "From my understanding, I can only engage in one person's mind at a time. Possibly more minds if I can grow my power. I can make them see their worst fears, happiest memories, or anything I choose for them to see."
I concentrated on Kaz's mind and made him see me with different-colored eyes—hazel eyes instead of my vibrant indigo-colored eyes.
"I see," he says. I let go of my concentration and paced around the room. I continued, "But my ability to find others takes a bit of concentration. I have to be in a safe spot and motionless to harness that power—a concentrated trance if you say."
Kaz stands up, grabbing his cane. "Impressive. Now, tell me where Inej Ghafa is."
I get out of my chair and sit on the floor. I cross my legs and let my wrists face up on my side. I close my eyes and see the blurred, dark environment around me.
I see Inej sneaking through the streets of Ketterdam. Time is still, and the place she is looking at is the Menagerie, owned by Tante Heleen. A place that has a dark history and a rabbit hole of a business to run.
I open my eyes to get out of my trance and say, "Over on the West Stave. Looking at the Menagerie." I stand up and look at Kaz to flash a half-smirk at him.
His expression gave an impressed look, but was still debating if my intentions were genuine.
He slowly walks closer to me, and I look at him. Kaz says, "We're doing a big job, one that would make history. I want to know if you're in. This doesn't mean you're a part of my crows, my crew. You have to earn that title by impressing me."
I answer, "Sure. I love myself a good challenge." His smirk turns into a confusing grin. "Just like that?" I sigh. "I have nothing else better to do, or know anyone else in Ketterdam, and it gives me a reason to go see beyond this damned city. I never really caught the gossip of businesses, power kings, or gangs all here."
"Stay here, don't snoop," he says. Kaz walks out of the office and back downstairs, maybe to get his other bird. Who knows. I sit back in my chair, and after a few minutes of waiting, Kaz returns with the funny hat guy and Inej.
He points and asks, "Is this the Catalyst?" I nod and cross my arms. "I prefer to go by Y/N. And you are?" "Jesper, it's a pleasure to meet you." He smiles a flashy grin, and I smile back in response. Jesper grabs a chair and sits with us.
Inej does the same and gives me a gleeful look in her eyes. Is she glad I joined, or? Kaz sits in the master chair and begins.
"Now, we have an opportunity for a job. Dreesen offers the first crew one million kruge to cross the Fold into East Ravka and bring something back. Not specifying what to bring back is suspicious, but this is the Fold."
Jesper's eyes widen, and he flashes a grin. "How soon does he need a crew, Kaz?" "He's taking meetings at midnight, and word will spread for the job before everyone else figures it out. Y/N will be joining us to prove her loyalty and trust. She will be a valuable asset for this job." he says.
Inej asks, "Do you have any contacts?" "I have a few, but we need to start now." The three all get up from their chairs and begin to walk out. I quietly follow behind and observe.
I feel a tingling feeling in my chest, one I can't decipher what it means. But before I follow the rest of the crew, I look back at myself in the mirror before catching up.
This is my new beginning.

Burn the World
Pairing: Aleksander Morozova x reader
Requested by Anonymous
Summary: He will burn the world to get your back...
One second you were standing just outside the ballroom on the terrace, needing a bit of fresh air.  The next, there was a cloth being held over your mouth and nose, a pair of arms lifting you off your feet.  You tried not to breathe, tried to fight off your attackers, but a lack of oxygen won out, and you sucked in a breath.  Whatever substance the cloth was drenched in was potent, because in an instant, you were unconscious and limp in your attacker’s arms.
***
“Have you seen Y/N?” Aleksander asked, taking a drink from a passing servant.  Fedyor shook his head.  “I haven’t, sir.  Last I saw her she was going onto the terrace.”  Your husband nodded.  “Crowds can be a bit much for her.  She’ll be inside soon.”  Fedyor nodded, and Aleksander turned his attention back to the party, completely unaware of the struggle taking place mere feet from him.
***
The world was swaying.  No, that wasn’t right, you were swaying.  And Saints, it smelled awful.  Your eyelids felt like lead, but you forced them open, forced yourself to listen despite the ringing in your ears and the pounding in your head.  You were in a cart, lying on a bed of hay.  There was a burlap sack covering you, obscuring you from sight.  You tried to move, but your hands and ankles were tied together, and you were so tired.  You heard someone speaking, was it your attacker?  And….was he speaking Fjerdan?
***
“What do you mean you can’t find her?”  When you hadn’t returned to the party, Aleksander was suspicious.  He’d sent his oprichniki to search the grounds, and they found nothing.  Not a trace of you.  “Y/N is not on the grounds, moi soverennyi.  We cannot find her.”  Your husband grit his teeth, willing his shadows into submission.  “You are my most experienced, highest trained, most trusted guards.  You mean to tell me that finding my wife is beyond your skills?”
The oprichnik balked, clearly fearful.  “I’m sorry, sir.  We’ve combed every inch of the grounds twice over, there–”  “Sir!”  Fedyor entered the War Room, out of breath.  “What?  Have you found her?”  The Heartrender shook his head.  “No, sir, but…this was on the terrace, where Y/N was last seen.”  Fedyor extended his hand, and sitting in his palm was a pin in the shape of a wolf’s head.  The symbol of the drüskelle.
***
How long you’d been traveling, you didn’t know, and whatever your captors had drugged you with was strong.  When the cart jerked to a stop, you tried to sit up, but to no avail.  For the first time, you got a good look at your captors: two drüskelle, initiates, based on their uniforms.  They spoke to each other in Fjerdan, and you were too out of it to understand.  But when they pulled you to your feet and dragged you from the cart and you saw where you were, pure fear filled your body.  Saints receive me
***
Aleksander gathered his strongest, most powerful, most trusted Grisha, and set off.  There was no time to waste, not when his precious wife’s life was on the line.  He rode hard for the northern border, seldom checking that his soldiers were following him.  Nothing else mattered but getting you back, making sure you were safe.  The Grisha with him had never seen their General so vengeful, so angry, and they wisely stayed out of his way.
One night, when they made camp, Fedyor found Aleksander pouring over a map.  The Ice Court was depicted in all its splendor, but all of the General’s markings laid east of the stronghold.  “Sir, are we not going to the Ice Court?” he asked, and Aleksander shook his head.  “No, that would be too easy,” he said.  “That’s where they want me to think she is.  They want me to go there and waste precious time searching for her.  No, Y/N is here.  In one of their underground holding cells.”
***
Your cells had no windows, no clocks, nothing to denote what time it was or how long you’d been gone.  Any food you were given was delivered sporadically, taking your one remaining way of keeping time.  It might have been days, it might have been weeks.  Your captors didn’t visit you regularly, but when they did, they came bearing questions and threats.  Questions you didn’t answer and threats you tried your best not to believe.  When you refused to give them information, they beat you, whipped you, withheld your meals, drugged you.
Saints receive me, you thought.  Aleksander, find me
***
At Fedyor’s insistence, Aleksander sent four of his Grisha to the Ice Court to search for you.  But the majority of his party continued east, searching each and every one of the underground holding cells that the drüskelle held.  That was where they put prisoners they wanted the world to forget about, the ones deemed too important or too dangerous to be kept at the Ice Court.  They’d searched nearly twenty cells with no results, and Aleksander was becoming restless.  But then he saw it, a piece of black fabric shot through with Y/G/C embroidery.  A scrap of your kefta fluttering in the breeze like a victory flag.  “There!”
***
You were shivering.  Your captors had chosen a new method of torture: submerging your head in a bucket of frigid water.  You were so, so cold, if only you had your kefta.  They’d taken it from you when you were brought here…wherever “here” was.  When you were pulled from the cart and saw that you were seemingly in the middle of nowhere, your heart had sunk.  Aleksander would never find you now, you would die here.
***
Aleksander leapt from his horse’s back, charging towards the underground holding cell.  You were here, he could feel it, he knew you were here.  At the sound of his approach, two drüskelle initiates emerged from the trees, weapons drawn.  “Sten!  Desjenet!”  Stop!  Stand down!  Aleksander laughed coldly, calling his shadows to his side, letting them pool like water in his palms.  Just before their guts were sliced open and their heads were severed from their bodies, before they could ask Djel to spare their souls, they each screamed one final word: Vronche!
***
“Vronche!”  Darkling!  The word drew you from your stupor, and for the barest moment, you let yourself hope.  “Search the area!” Aleksander called, Aleksander!  You tried to pull yourself to your feet, but you were too weak.  “A-Aleksander,” you croaked, voice weak from screaming.  “Aleksander!  Sasha!  I’m here!”  He would find you, he would.  He was here, your husband was here, he would find you.
***
“Quiet!”  Aleksander sent a skein of darkness slithering, catching his Grisha’s attention.  “Everyone, quiet!  I thought I heard…”  “Aleksander!”  It was quiet, faint, but it was there.  “Y/N?”  “Aleksander!  Sasha!  I’m here!”  “Y/N!”  Aleksander had a renewed fervor, and he ran to the place where the drüskelle had emerged from.  Sure enough, there was a door there, camouflaged by moss and leaves.  He allowed himself one steadying breath before he kicked in the door.
***
You curled in on yourself as the door flew open, dirt and twigs pelting your body.  “Y/N?  Oh Saints, Y/N!”  Hands were touching you, turning you, trying to make you look at– “No!”  Aleksander had tears in his eyes, and he gently coaxed your chin from your chest.  “Y/N, it’s me.  It’s Aleksander, I’m here.”  You lifted your head, looking at him with wild eyes.  “A-Aleksander?”  “Yes, my love, it’s me.  I’m here, your Sasha’s here.”
It took you a moment to process this, to realize that it was your husband here, that he was really here.  “Aleksander…”  You shattered, sobs shaking your body, tormented wails leaving your mouth.  Your husband gathered you into his arms, clutching you to his chest, rocking you gently.  “I’m here, Y/N, I’m here.  Saints, I’m so sorry, so, so sorry.  You’re safe now, my love, we’re going home.”
Fedyor and Ivan entered, gasping at the sight that met them.  “Moi soverennyi,” Ivan said gently.  “Ivan,” Aleksander replied.  “I want you to examine Y/N, make sure she’s able to travel.  We’re leaving as soon as we can.”  The Heartrender nodded, crouching at your side.  He folded his hands, healing the bruises, gashes, and broken bones.  “She can travel,” he announced.  “What damage remains is psychological.”
Aleksander nodded, getting to his feet while keeping you in his arms.  “Good.  I want this place torched, am I understood?”  “Sir, the Fjerdans will–”  “They will know we were here, yes.  I want them to know what happens when you try to hurt my wife.”  Ivan nodded.  “Yes, sir.”  Your husband carried you outside, where he set you on the ground for the barest second.  “No, Aleksander, no…”
“It’s alright, my love,” he said, unfastening his cloak and draping it over your shoulders, lifting you up again.  “I’m here, you’re safe.”  He mounted his horse, watching as the Infreni he’d brought set the underground cell ablaze, the late autumn leaves making excellent kindling.  When his Grisha were atop their own mounts, he set off, keeping a slower pace so as not to jostle you.
“You came,” you said, words slurred.  You finally felt safe, and exhaustion had caught up quick.  “Of course I came,” Aleksander replied, kissing your forehead.  “I would burn the world for you, Y/N.  I love you.”  “I love you too, Sasha.  Thank you.”  “You never need to thank me,” your husband said.  “There is nothing I wouldn’t do to keep you safe, to get you back.  I’m sorry, my love, I am so very sorry that this happened.  I should have–”  “Aleksander, no.”  You lifted your hand to rest on his cheek, and he leaned into your touch.  “This was… Saints, I don’t know.  But this wasn’t your fault.”
“But I could have–”  “Shhh, don’t.  Please, Aleksander.  You found me, you saved me.  Nothing else matters.”  A lot else mattered, but Aleksander wasn’t going to argue, not when he’d just gotten you back and you were so exhausted.  “How long was I gone?”  Aleksander breathed deeply.  “Almost two weeks.  We searched half of the Eastern plains, the Fjerdans have underground cells there.”
“How did you know that’s where I’d be?  Not the Ice Court?”  Aleksander was silent for a moment, the only sounds the crunching of leaves beneath his horse’s hooves.  “I don’t know,” he replied.  “I just knew.”  You hummed, nuzzling into his chest.  “Sleep, my darling.  I won’t let anyone or anything hurt you.”  “‘Mkay.  Love you, Sasha.”  “And I love you, my sweetling.  My Y/N.”  You soon nodded off in his arms, and Aleksander knew he would burn the entire world if it meant keeping you safe.

MASKS | KAZ BREKKER
Summary: You are incredibly beautiful but you have always been insecure of your own face, so you wear a mask. But in the middle of doing a heist, the mask breaks.
Tumblr media
Ever since childhood, you hadn't liked what you saw in the mirror. Your nose was too big. Or too small. Your lips were too thin. Or then they looked like a bee had just stung them. Your eye color was bland. You just bashed yourself in front of the mirror every morning as you had brushed your teeth, and other kids at your neighborhood didn't really help with that - kids could be cruel if they were given a reason for it.
So, that day you moved into Ketterdam, you made yourself a mask before anyone got to know you. A beautiful white mask made of porcelain, with cat ears and a red stripe going over your eye. It fit perfectly around your face, hiding any imperfections behind its perfect curves.
You joined the Dregs, a gang ran by a young man who was barely 18. Kaz Brekker wasn't interested about your mask, he only wanted to know how you could fight and you were in. It didn't take long after that before you joined the heists with him and the other five people who called themselves "Crows". You quickly had made friends with them, spending evenings with them and finally feeling like you had a family again.
Kaz ended up growing something more than just your boss. It took a while, but he let his walls down with you, took a faint hold of your hand when you were worried about your wounded friend and even tried to comfort you, although he wasn't a master in it. In turn, you had showed him your face, let yourself be vulnerable too. He had looked at you with so much love you thought it's uncharacteristic of him, but at the same time you felt how your cheeks grew hot as you felt cared about for the first time in years.
Jesper had seen your face too, but it was by accident. He had barged in to Kaz's room because Wylan was missing and he was scared out of his mind and walked straight to the bedroom, just in time to see you sit up and your eyes met his. He froze for a moment before you ducked your head and took your mask, and Jesper knew better than to question it. He told you that Wylan is missing and you sprang into action immediately, dressing up and hurrying out of the office.
Turned out Wylan had been fetching Jesper a cake because the sharpshooter's birthday was the next day. Thank the Saints you found him first, so the surprise wouldn't be ruined.
A few months from that, and you were on another heist. Another merchant in the city, who has bragged about his fortunes a little too enthusiastically. In Ketterdam, you had to remember that someone was always listening, and this time that someone was Inej. A week from that, and you were at the manor of that merchant.
Kaz had ordered you and Jesper to keep watch at the hallway as he worked on the hidden safe around the corner - the merchant was smarter than he looked, he had put a safe inside a safe, and hid that behind a large and incredibly heavy bookcase. The blueprints were done wrong as a distraction, and Kaz had cursed himself over not realising it. So it had taken a while to actually get on the safe.
Footsteps were heard from the right, and Jesper's hand immediately went to his other gun. A few guards bickered about something, and Kaz halted his movements upon hearing that too. Jesper met his eyes, and he nodded towards the guards. Jesper started making his way towards them and you glanced at Kaz who started working on the safe again.
You hadn't known what was happening before you already felt a blade on your throat.
"Don't move, bitch," said a voice behind you. His breath had a bitter scent of garlic and you scrunched your nose at it.
The man with the knife pressed hard enough to cut your skin but didn't draw blood yet. A thought of him killing you and going after Kaz next crossed your mind, an d that thought made your heart start racing faster and adrenaline kicking in.
You knew it was stupid. Irresponsible. You should wait for Kaz to deal with it, he by no doubt was already thinking what to do to save you. But you weren't a lady in distress, you refused to be.
So you stomped on his foot with all your might and when he grunted, you elbowed his jaw. The knife made a scratch on your face and you heard something shattering - probably a vase on the drawer next to you. You started giving punches to the brute until he laid on the ground unconscious, and then turned back around to see all your friends gathered there to see what's the noise about. You let out a breath of relief upon seeing they were all alright and walked up to them as you tried to catch your breath. You didn't pay attention to it at first, but then you noticed that they were staring at you.
"What?" you asked, frowning.
"Darling, your mask..." Kaz mumbled, looking over at the shattered piece of art you had been wearing for the past half a decade.
Your heart stopped for a moment.
"Oh," you whispered and suddenly felt self-conscious as you turned away from your friends. Your cheeks burned like hellfire, even though nobody was saying anything about how you looked ugly underneath this disguise. Though, they had probably stared because they didn't recognize you at first, not because of how you looked. But it still felt like the latter option, and the echoes of what the kids in your neighborhood had been saying to you when you were growing up.
"Okay, we got what we came here for, escaping through the third back door." Kaz interrupted the moment and everyone started moving out, leaving Kaz and you standing there to come as last ones.
You walked in silence side by side with Kaz, looking behind the shattered mask - its shards glinting in the moonlight as if to wave its goodbye to you. You felt like a part of you had just been ripped away, and you couldn't help but feel tears in your eyes. The whole thing happened so fast, that none of it registered until that point. Then it was too late.
You could feel the slight night breeze caressing through your face once you were outside in front of the carriage, something you hadn't experienced in years. It felt so foreign now - but somehow also comforting.
You stood there for a moment before Nina spoke.
"Hey, we don't care how you look. We still love you the same."
You closed your eyes against the sudden wetness on your cheek and nodded, sniffling. "I know."
"Hey," Jesper said. He walked up next to you and handed you a handkerchief from his pocket.
"Thanks," you sniffed and wiped at your tears.
Jesper cleared his throat. "It's weird to see you without that mask. You're not ugly, you know. Not really."
You looked down at the cloth in your hands and gave a watery laugh.
"Don't be ridiculous. I've always been ugly."
"No, you aren't. This is what beauty feels like. This is what real beauty would be like."
"Oh," you said softly, biting back more tears.
He glanced at Kaz who was looking at you with something looking like concern. "Kaz is lucky to have you, you know."
You couldn't help but smile a little at that, and everyone started to board the carriage, Jesper being the driver and standing beside the door.
Jesper smirked as he helped you board the carriage, "I know what we just said but just a suggestion, love; you should consider being a model, we could pull out pretty neat heists if you went on a modeling show with rich pigs and turned over their pockets."
You couldn't help but smile at the suggestion - maybe you could finally get rid of the feeling of insecurity you had felt since you were a child.

Tumblr media
hello all! my requests are currently closed for the following characters!
aleksander morozova - shadow and bone
billy russo - the punisher
remus lupin - harry potter/the marauders
sirius black - harry potter/the marauders
james potter - harry potter/the marauders
Tumblr media
please read the rules and guidelines before submitting a request. you can then submit a request here.
be patient: i know it’s hard because you want to see your idea come out to the world. but sometimes it takes me a bit of time to come up with the right dialogue and get into the right creative mind to right the themes that the requests may have.
don’t have expectations: your request might be shorter or longer than others. and that’s okay. i write what i feel is necessary for the story that we are both creating together. it could be multiple parts or it can be a blurb.
information i need: i’m going to need you to give me an idea of what you’re looking for. i cannot write something based on something simple like ‘romance with x’ or ‘smut with x’. i’ll need a bit of details, but you’re not expected to write me a novel in great detail.
you can be anonymous: i give this choice in my form. you have the option to type in your username if you want the credit for your idea. but i understand that not everyone wants to be known, and i’m all for whichever one you prefer.
things i will not write: sexual assault, unnecessary violence, male x male (let me add that i am all for all different type of relationships, however it is just something that i am uncomfortable with, and am not very good at writing), and poly relationships (again, all for it. but i do not like to write a lot of people at one time). there may be more, but take your shot at a request.
do not request characters i do not have listed: this may be a given as i only have a certain few characters as my options but i still feel like i have to state this. i love characters from all different types of fandoms, but there are just some i am unable to get their personality right.
take your shot: like i mentioned before, take your shot. i may not write your request and that’s okay. my creative mind only goes so far, as many things in life, it has its limits. it can be sfw or nsfw. it could be certain kinks even. but there is always the chance there is something that i am not comfortable with writing, and that’s okay too.
and please don’t forget: to be kind. kindness goes a long way, and i truly love everyone. but i cannot tolerate any rude behaviors. now that i’ve taken up most of your time, feel free to request! <3

JUST A HEALER. - K.B
Pairings: (Kaz Brekker x Reader) A/N: Hey Everyone! I hope you all are fine and feel good. May goodness be with you… So this is a new fiction of mine. About Kaz Brekker… Well, I was so stressed about my studies so I wanted to write something to keep my mind occupied. English isn’t my native language, as reminding it again, I might have mistakes. If you saw it feel free to correct it with kindness of course! I hope you’ll like it. There will be a part two. Warnings: Kidnapping, Pekka Rollins, mention of Kirigan. It is mostly based on the first season of the series but I changed things. Word Count: 1.997
You can read the last part here: More Than A Healer. - K.B
Tumblr media
A soldier, a healer.
That was all you were to him. A soldier, a healer. Well, the story of you and his crossed in a different path. You escaped from the Little Palace and took a ticket from an unknown ship, with that you went overseas.
As the ship sailed to the shore of Ketterdam, the city where every young-blooded Ravkan wanted to see, you were finally there. Freshly dressed and eager to see a new world. Other than forced to work under king’s command. Well, the missing state you were in probably put a traitor stamp on your name but you didn’t care.
Your parents died, because of Ravka. Because of their policies about taking Grisha’s away from their parents. Your parents die because they never wanted you to be taken from them. They died, because you were a Grisha… You blamed yourself for it from such a long time. But in reality, the blame wasn’t on you, it was on them.
A week passed since you were in Ketterdam, hiding your powers and blending into public. Well, it was safe to say that you were expecting difficulties. You had nothing so it would obviously difficult.
However as the weeks passed, you were able to find a shelter to stay, foods to feed yourself and a job. Well, you were taking care of wounded people, they thought you were talented. Not a Grisha. They thought this woman, you, are just talented and hardworking about what you do. But inside of every touch of yours, you were slowly recovering them faster.
Of course, you bandaged them, cut them, stitch them, clean their wounds but without the people of Ketterdam’s knowledge, as every slight touch of your fingers did the magic.
However, as you were so good at what you do, people talked. Pekka Rollins, offered you a job which you declined smoothly a time. He was pissed but you told him you work openly. But you treated his wounds so that’s why you were still alive.
Even Pekka Rollins didn’t realize you were a Grisha but a certain man, who likes to stay in silence and sees everything in a different gaze, such as reading between the lines, he noticed it.
That night you were going to your home, you heard a sound. It terrified you, so you touched your gun. Then you understood the sound of the cane, was on purpose.
The alley was empty. It was just the two of you, you thought. “It is not a daily thing you see a Grisha in Barrel.” As hearing his words, you turned to him slowly.
“Who are you?” You said to him coldly. He looked at you ruthlessly. As you were looking at his eyes, it was harsh, you felt goosebumps. “The right question is… why a Grisha is doing in the Barrel, Miss L/N?”
You furrowed your eyebrows. “I don’t know who you are, but you surely are mad.” He smiled to that. But the smile didn’t match his eyes. “I wouldn’t say that.”
He stepped firmly into your way, you didn’t back away. You wouldn’t show any weakness to him. You were a soldier.
“There’s no need for fighting, I present you an offer.” You looked at him with curiosity after hearing his crooked voice. “I’m listening.” You said firmly.
“You can work for me, and I’ll keep your secret.” You looked at him bitterly. “I don’t work for anyone.” You looked at his eyes. “Believe me, Miss L/N, in the Barrel, a woman like you would be a great investment.” He stopped briefly. “I have been watching you, and it wasn’t hard for me to understand of your little powers.” He looked at you so smoothly.
“Bold of you to assume, that I’ll work under you.” You said it confidently. He looked at his gloves for a moment. “If they finds out you are a Grisha, you won’t last long.” You squinted your eyes. “Is that a threat?” You said.
“No, it is just a warning.” His glances wasn’t disturbing it was frightening. “I give you a day, you can find me in the Crow Club.” Then he disappeared into shadows without even waiting for you to say anything.
After that night, you thought many things. You didn’t know the man, so you pulled strings and searched his name. The Dirtyhands. Bastard of the Barrel. The owner of the Crow Club. Kaz Brekker.
Kaz Brekker.
The Dirtyhands.
He had people work under him. The Wraith, The Sharpshooter… The Dregs. The informations you learned about the infamous Kaz Brekker, led you to his Club.
As you stepped into the Club, it was lighting with warm but sharp colors. You heard every laughter on gambling tables. Some smiling like devilishly, some whine in losing.
You stepped surely to inside. As your gaze fell upon to the upstairs, your eyes met in a brief moment. From the moment you stepped inside to the Club, he knew you arrived.
He made a small gesture, the way his face turned slightly to side, it was a gesture for you to come closer.
You walked slowly into his way, as he lead you to his office. Your gaze wandered the room. The walls were covered in a thick layer, the furnitures are covered in black as the way he dressed. The room looked tidy but his desk was filled with full of papers which looked pure chaotic.
The light of the room was dim. It was weirdly calming but as his body turned to you, your gaze met his. He looked like a wall. No emotion, not even a slight expression.
As you looked at his face, two days ago, looking at him briefly on the streets was not enough for you to look deeply into his features.
Now that you see him, well, he looked beautiful. In a disturbing way, he was looking good. Except for the fact that, he knows your secret and he is threatening you. Also, adding the fact that he is the Dirtyhands. You heard rumors about him before.
“So, you heard about me.” As he broke the silence, you nodded. “The Dirtyhands.” You said with a straight impression. “I heard about you.”
He leaned back on the edge of the table. “Then you heard all the things they said about me.” He replied.
“Look, Mr. Brekker, I don’t work for people. I don’t want to make enemies.” He almost laughed at that. “No, Miss L/N, the clear thing you don’t understand is…” He paused briefly. “Eventually, when people find out who you are, you are not gonna survive a day in here.” He looked at you sharply. “I won’t expose you, but, imagine if Pekka Rollins finds out?”
As he said it, you turned your gaze into one of painting on the wall. “Okay..” It was reasonable. You turned your gaze back to his. “I’ll work for you but under one condition.” You said. “I want a good check.” He looked at you.
“Then we have an agreement.”
-
Yeah, after that day a year passed as you worked under the Dirtyhands. Well, he didn’t trust you a bit and you weren’t trusting him too but you just had to trust the promise he made.
You were clearly a good asset to him. You treated Inej and Jesper’s wounds. Other members of his crew too. Also you were a great soldier so when a mission arrives, after some time of him trusting you about coming to his thefts, you were quick, strong and loyal.
He even gave you a new identity. Helped you to have a new identity in Ketterdam. So, you wouldn’t suspected to be a Grisha, a Ravkan.
But Pekka Rollins wasn’t happy about the idea of you working under the Bastard of the Barrel, which caused you some headaches. However, Kaz was cautious about everything.
A soldier, a healer.
You were all that to him. Well, you got along with Inej and Jesper. They had unique characteristics. You could feel the joy around Jesper while feeling safe around Inej. She was quiet but she made you feel comfortable.
You can’t say much things about Kaz. He was complicated. Never trusting you much, always prepared for everything and too cautious, too careful. As you observed him through the months, you saw how he deprived himself from touching. You saw the sour face of his after someone in the crowd bumped him with no intention. They thought it was just Kaz hated people. But to you, the way he looked with every little touch the furrowing brows of his tells a different tale.
Which you were curious about it. However, you never had the intentions of learning it. So you slipped the thought away and got along with your life.
You were walking around the corners of the Barrel, you wanted to be alone, as you blended in with the others, the crowds noise was silencing your thoughts. Well, under Kaz’s command, it wasn’t very easy but you felt safe and powerful. The threats of Rollins wasn’t new, but it didn’t scare you that much. Since you were a traitor in Ravka. You flied away from there and left the Army.
Of course, over the time passed Kaz learned why you were in Ketterdam as you told him the story of your life. You thought he would judge you but he was no better man. So he just didn’t mind it.
You earned his respect with how much you cared for his crows. How you treated their wounds after a fight very gently and how you were loyal to him and his team. It didn’t slip from his gazes.
As you turned around the corner, you felt a pair of hands grabbing your mouth harshly. You panicked just for a second. Then you tried to fight back to the man who held you tightly. You took a knife out of your pocket and hit him on his belly, as he whined in pain, you freed yourself from his prying hands. As you turned to look at the man, you heard a strong accent.
“I can say, I was very disappointed to hear you began to work under- Mr. Brekker, aye?” As you heard his voice, you turned to the owner of the voice. Pekka Rollins.
“What do you want?” You said sternly. He approached to you. “It is such a clever move, I say,” He looked terrific. As meeting his gaze, Pekka’s gaze didn’t seem to move away from you. “Hiring a healer? A Grisha.” He smiled. “A traitor…” You look at him disgustingly.
“Well, I don’t know what you are talking about.” You said it dumbfounded. He looked at you with range. “What should I do to you, Dame Blanche, huh? Or should I say… Miss L/N?”
You looked at him with anger. “I don’t care what you’ll do. I won’t back away from a fight.” You said it confidently. He looked at you with smug smile. “Oh, I won’t do you harm, The Black General, I think he is going to do.” You looked at him disbelief. As two of his guy grabbed your shoulders, you fought to get away from their grip but you couldn’t succeed.
Pekka approached to you and squeezed your cheeks in a hurtful manner. “After what would done to you, you are gonna regret to work under that bastard, lass.”
The next minute, you felt pain on your back as slowly, your vision blurred and your eyes went black.
As couple of hours passed and you opened your eyes, the sharp pain on your head was making you feel uncomfortable. You tried to open your eyes but your eyelids were too heavy and you feared.
What if Kaz couldn’t find you?
What if Kaz wouldn’t find you?
What if he doesn’t care about your sudden disappearance?
What if he,
if he thinks you betrayed him too?
