Leona has been the sponsor of multiple charities since he was young (his biggest charities are centered on Women/children and his other is centered on Magic training for the less fortunate) (He also has one centered on helping people with destructive/dangerous magic)

Leona's sister-in-law is a former Royal Guard captain. She personally oversaw Leona's self-defense training when he was young. (When he comes home she makes him spare with her to make sure he's not going soft.)

Because of The king being busy with king things and also having health issues, Falena took a paternal role in Leona's life. (His sister-in-law also took a role when she came into the picture)

Leona was v protective of his sister-in-law when she was pregnant. (even if he wasn't thrilled about the thought of children) You can still see this protectiveness when there's a safety threat around Cheka and her.

Cheka has been obsessed with his uncle since he was born. when Falena and his wife couldn't get him to sleep, Leona was able to.

The Kingscholar family has always been more of a business relationship than a familial one. Falena is the first in a v long time to change that, making time for Leona and Cheka as often as he can.

When Leona was a baby/toddler Falena would carry him around everywhere. When there was any safety threat Falena would move Leona's crib into his room.

Falena plans to give Leona a v high Advisor position on the Royal council (high enough that the council can't ignore him)

“Falena” vs. “Farena”

So, I’ve been noticing that a lot of people use either “Falena” or “Farena” for Leona’s brother’s name. And I could not for the LIFE of me figure out why. Like, why was this there seemingly widespread habit of calling Falena “Farena”? The twst wiki and the game clearly states his name is Falena.

And then, to make sure, I actually went on to Falena’s page on the wiki. And it turns out Farena is Falena’s name when it is translated from the original Japanese apparently????

And I??? Do not understand???? Why they did not just call him Farena????? In English too??????????????? Like it’s literally just ONE letter change. What was the point of the name change??????

Well, at least now I know why some people refer to Leona’s older brother as “Farena” and some people refer to him as “Falena.”

And either way, they would be right.

When I see how some of you design the royal guard fits for the guards in the Afterglow, I am baffled at the lack of African pizzazz.

I feel like everyone in this Fandom, damn near, just gives no fucks about Leona's cultural heritage in terms of drawing fanart of his homeland or making fics.

I've seen few who will think "lemme do this the proper way"

It's already bad enough they won't do any real study of African cultures to make the Afterglow actually feel like-

My own design of the royal guard's uniform, and a redesign of the Tamashina Mina event outfits.

These will be my refs for the guard uniform

And I'll be looking at other African warrior armor designs. Most will be from actual tribes in east and South Africa

If you could bring back, add, or remove one law/social ideal what would it be?

The thought that women ain't equal to men. I find the whole idea of it bullshit. Back home, women take up more than half of the royal guard. Besides, I've met a handful of ladies who're much stronger than the majority of guys I know.
