Having free time, I finally have gotten caught up to where I want to be in The Legend of Drizzt books. Thus far:

Streams of Silver - I liked it. A lot of bromance time isn’t bad, and tbh Drizzt and Bruenor did not scare me like they should have only because I’m finding the pattern Salvatore. I see it…

Aside from that, again, I wanted to see more out of Catti-Brie, and —Hey, Artemis Entreri, you are on the fine line between asshole I despise and don’t ever want to see again and asshole I like and want to see more of.

The Halfling’s Gem - boats! I love boats! Regis did not this time! Artemis Entreri, you are now an asshole I like. That obsession…my guy, you got a problem there. I dig it.

I loved the Drizzt and Wulfgar bonding time, how people are finally respecting Drizzt outside of his main friend circle (;-;), and how Catti-Brie and Bruenor pop up to help out.

I can’t get over the sewer water spit (I’m nearing two books past it and I am still shuddering)

That uh…moment with the kiss felt a lil forced though…didn’t like that…liked everything else though. Especially Guenhwyvar.

The Legacy - or what I like to call, I think this is my favorite book now.

If Jarlaxle pops up I call it an instant win, he’s barely been around until now but he’s so fun.

Could have done without the jealousy thing, although let’s be real there was a bigger problem from the previous book that flat out didn’t get addressed. I feel like Wulfgar had gotten past that just a woman issue earlier in the series, too, but I’ll give the repetition a pass because I got to hear more from Catti-Brie and that was nice. I really am enjoying her character now even if I still don’t vibe with the trajectory certain relationships will take.

This thing between Entreri and Drizzt gives major YGO four episodes long card game vibes and I LIVE for it

Lots of fighting, really wish we had seen more Vierna fighting but I’ll take what I can get, Pwent certainly was a character, Guenhwyvar!!! 🥺🥺🥺, Wulfgar ;-; (patterns or not that shit hurted)…

And Salvatore liked the term indomitable almost as much as Bram Stoker liked voluptuous.

#this is a fun series #not necessarily. like. GOOD. but very easy to enjoy #i kind of super dont give a shit about the setting and mechanics or plot or whatever #but the characters are all just so nice. to see them doing their things #...except for those two rookie kids holy fuck i actually cannot stand them.#i cant even remember the last time ive truly Hated characters that much. but i digress #dorohedoro is very skullgirlsy to me #in the sense that it is like. it is so wildly self-indulgent and so very extremely obvious at every turn #that the creator is just throwing around whatever batshit fucking insane nonsense ideas they want for the hell of it & because they can #and i cannot stress this enough. i respect the hell out of that approach. it is my favorite approach #you are doing some cocomelon shit to me. as is your right #bweeeaaahh

In case anyone doesn’t know why Channing Tatum randomly showed up in “Deadpool & Wolverine” as Gambit:

Way back when the Fox X-Men universe was still in full swing, Tatum signed on to play Gambit in a movie. I believe he signed on after Gambit appeared in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. The project was stuck in development hell, then cancelled. So this was Ryan Reynolds’ tribute to the cancelled project and why Gambit believed he was born in the Void.
