i think the worst part of coming to terms with the fact that you have NPD is also having to come to terms with the fact that many people in your life may not feel mercy and/or empathy for you due to how much you've hurt them prior to knowing you had NPD

I keep getting this person on my feed that’s like “pov: you raised by a narcissist” and it’s just generally abusive parent behaviour or “i was a victim of narcissistic abuse” and it’s like… this is just ableism, I don’t know if their parents were actually narcissistic, but their abuse towards you isn’t defined by a disorder. And if they aren’t narcissistic, having an abusive parent isn’t an excuse to call them a narc. It’s pissing me off to no end.

Thank you so much. I’m kind of in an spn recession rn so I just don’t really have the intense passion for it like I used to which is why (along with a couple other reasons) I haven’t been posting much (barely anything tbh) BUT. I’m not going to give up or stop posting because I did this for the fandom as much as for myself, so I’ll still post but not that frequently.

All in one (1) day, I have heard my mother insist that autistic people are crazy, psycho "r-words," and I've seen 2 idiots on Instagram insist that people with NPD are "100% as bad" as serial killers and p*dophiles, so I think it's safe to say that ableism is a vile fucking disease.
