The Big Workspace Rework
The Clutter Reports fixes a bunch of issues at once during The Big Workspace Rework
I don’t know if you can tell, but something is wrong with the cart in this picture. The back two wheels were loose (a problem I’ve had with the cheap Sterilite rolling carts, which is why I can’t use them for my comics–they’re too heavy for the weak caster holders) and they fell out. The cart was leaning. So I had to take everything out, pull out the drawers, wrap some plastic tape around the…

How to create a peaceful workspace
Introduction
We’ve all experienced it at some point: the feeling of being unproductive and overwhelmed in a chaotic workspace. From a messy desk full of papers and scattered pens to a cluttered corner of our bedroom, a disorganized workspace can have a huge impact on our productivity, efficiency, and overall mental health.
To help you create a peaceful workspace, we’ve rounded up some helpful tips on how to get started. Read on to learn how to create a tranquil and organized workspace that will help you get more out of your day.
Declutter
The first step towards creating a peaceful workspace is to declutter. Get rid of any objects that you don’t need or use, and that are just taking up valuable space. This includes papers, books, and old magazines. Make sure to separate the items you want to keep from those that are ready to be recycled or thrown away.
Another way to declutter your workspace is to organize it. This way, you’ll be able to quickly find the items you need and put them away when you’re done with them. Consider investing in storage solutions such as desk organizers and filing cabinets. This will help keep your workspace neat and tidy.
Find the Right Light
Lighting plays an important role in creating a peaceful workspace. Natural light is the best option, so try to find a spot near a window or balcony. If you don’t have access to natural light, make sure to invest in good quality lighting that is not too harsh or too dim. Consider getting lamps that can be adjusted to different levels of brightness.
Choose the Right Colors
The colors of your workspace can also have a huge impact on your productivity and mental health. Choose colors that are calming and uplifting, such as pastels and muted shades. You can also use artwork and decorations to add a splash of color to your workspace.
Bring Nature Inside
Adding a touch of nature to your workspace can help create a peaceful and calming environment. Consider placing a few indoor plants around your workspace or adding a decorative vase with fresh flowers. This will add a touch of greenery and make your workspace more inviting.
Add Personal Touches
Your workspace should also be a reflection of who you are and what you love. Adding personal touches such as photos, artwork, or knick-knacks can make your workspace more personal and inviting. This will help you feel more relaxed and inspired while working.
Take Breaks
Taking breaks throughout the day is essential for staying productive and reducing stress. Even if it’s just for a few minutes, taking a break from your work can help clear your mind and give you a fresh perspective. Consider going for a walk, listening to music, or reading a book during your break.
Final Thoughts
Creating a peaceful workspace can help you be more productive and less stressed. Start by decluttering, organizing, and choosing the right lighting and colors. Don’t forget to add personal touches and take regular breaks throughout the day. With these tips, you’ll be able to create a tranquil workspace that will help you make the most out of your day.

hi girlies! iiiiits.. June! The month of blossoming, sun and freedom ✧ Just as flowers open up to the sun, it's time for us to open our hearts to new possibilities and fresh starts. Heres some ways to harness the energy of June to flourish and grow ₊˚✧ ゚.
1. Set new intentions.
Start the month by setting clear, positive intentions. What do you want to achieve in the next 30 days? Whether it's developing a new habit, or simply practicing gratitude daily, write down your goals and keep them where you can see them.
2. Create a new morning routine (optional)
A nurturing morning routine can set a positive tone for your entire day. And also, switching up your morning routine monthly can make it seem more exciting to start your day! here are some of the musts to add in a morning routine:
Hydration: drink. water.
Movement: a workout, yoga, dance, sport, walking, etc.
Meditation: deep breathing, or even a video on youtube!
Journal: Write down your thoughts, dreams, and what you're grateful for.
3. Self-Care.
in June, we will be dedicating one day a week to self-care. Use this time to pamper yourself, whether it's taking a luxurious bath, taking out time for reading your favourite book, or trying out a new skincare routine! embrace your girlhood and have some fun!
Tumblr media
Cultivate Inner Peace
Inner peace is the foundation of a happy, fulfilling life. This June, focus on practices that help you maintain a calm and balanced state of mind:
1. Mindfulness and Meditation
like i said earlier, add mindfulness and meditation into your daily routine if you want to be more calm and centred. Even a few minutes a day can help reduce stress and increase your overall sense of well-being.
2. Declutter Your Space
A tidy environment leads to a clearer mind. Take some time to organise your home or workspace. Donate or sell items you no longer need and organise the rest. A fresh, clean space can be incredibly rejuvenating!
3. Practice gratitude
instead of focusing on what you don't have, focus on what you do have. Keep a gratitude journal and write down at least three things you're grateful for each day. This simple practice can shift your focus from what's lacking to the abundance in your life
Tumblr media
Conclusion
June is a beautiful month to focus on blooming into your best self. you can make this a month of pinkness and girliehood. Embrace the warmth of June and let your true self shine!

Little Quirks About Them
Tumblr media
[ Please do not repost, plagiarize, or use my writing for AI! Translating my work with proper credit is acceptable, but please ask first! ]
Tumblr media
Optimus
He doesn't like "dog-earring" pages on books (it's when you fold the corner down to mark the page). Especially if it's on a book that doesn't belong to you, or if the book belongs to a library or is being borrowed. And don't even get him started on highlighting or underlining things in books. As a former archivist, it was his duty to take good care of manuscripts and whatnot, so he has a tendency to take good care of datapads, books, etc.., and he generally encourages others to do the same. Unless someone's dog-earing, highlighting, or writing in a book that isn't their's, he won't bother them too much about it.
Tumblr media
Ratchet
He tends to listen to people around him a whole lot more than people think. He doesn't understand most of the kid's chatter about human things, but now he knows about them. While he usually stays quiet whenever he listens to someone else, he sometimes chuckles to himself if he hears something he finds funny, or he mutters to himself about something he heard someone else say.
Tumblr media
Ultra Magnus
He sometimes spends his time decluttering the base and cleaning up after other people, and whenever he does, he always organizes everyone else's things according to how they like it organized, (if he doesn't know, their preferences, then he'll just go with whatever seems fit.) He's also very strict on keeping a nice and clean workspace and encourages everyone else (specifically the kids) to clean up after themselves.

How to Stay Motivated and Productive: Crushing Your Goals Without Burning Out
Staying motivated and productive can feel like a constant battle, especially when life throws distractions, stress, and endless to-do lists your way. But fear not! With the right mindset and strategies, you can keep your motivation high and your productivity on point, without burning out. Let’s dive into some tips to help you crush your goals and stay energized along the way.
1. Start with Your "Why"
Before you even think about getting stuff done, take a moment to connect with your “why.” Why do you want to achieve these goals? Whether it’s personal growth, career advancement, or simply getting through your day with your sanity intact, having a clear purpose fuels motivation. When the going gets tough, reminding yourself of the bigger picture can keep you pushing forward.
2. Set Clear, Realistic Goals
Productivity isn’t just about doing more; it’s about doing what matters. Break your goals down into specific, achievable tasks. Instead of vague goals like “get fit” or “study more,” try “exercise for 30 minutes three times a week” or “study for 45 minutes, then take a 15-minute break.” Clear goals give you a roadmap and make it easier to track your progress.
3. Create a Routine That Works for You
Routines are your best friend when it comes to staying productive. They help build momentum and reduce the mental energy spent on deciding what to do next. But remember, there’s no one-size-fits-all routine—what works for someone else might not work for you. Experiment with different schedules until you find one that aligns with your natural rhythms and lifestyle.
4. Embrace the Power of Small Wins
There’s nothing like the rush of ticking something off your to-do list. Those small wins build momentum and keep you motivated to tackle bigger tasks. Break larger projects into smaller, manageable steps, and celebrate each achievement along the way. It’s like giving yourself a mini high-five every time you complete something, and who doesn’t love that?
5. Use the Pomodoro Technique
If you struggle with staying focused, the Pomodoro Technique is a game-changer. Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. After four sessions, take a longer break (15-30 minutes). This method not only helps maintain focus but also prevents burnout by ensuring you’re taking regular breaks. It’s a win-win for both your productivity and your well-being.
6. Declutter Your Space, Declutter Your Mind
A cluttered workspace can lead to a cluttered mind. Take a few minutes each day to tidy up your environment. A clean, organized space can help you feel more in control and focused on the task at hand. Plus, it’s one less thing to stress about when you’re trying to get in the zone.
7. Prioritize Self-Care
Productivity isn’t just about grinding 24/7. To stay motivated, you need to take care of yourself. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating well, and staying active. Incorporate activities that relax and recharge you—whether it’s reading, meditating, or just chilling out with a good Netflix show. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup.
8. Mix It Up
Monotony can kill motivation. If you find yourself getting bored or stuck in a rut, mix things up. Try changing your environment—work from a different room or a coffee shop. Switch up your routine or try new productivity tools and techniques. Keeping things fresh can reignite your enthusiasm and keep you engaged.
9. Stay Accountable
Share your goals with a friend, family member, or even online communities. Having someone to check in with can keep you accountable and motivated. Plus, it’s a great way to get support and encouragement when you need it most. Sometimes, just knowing someone else is rooting for you is enough to keep you going.
10. Forgive Yourself for Off Days
Let’s be real—not every day is going to be a productivity powerhouse. Some days, the motivation just isn’t there, and that’s okay. The key is not to beat yourself up over it. Instead, acknowledge it, rest, and come back stronger the next day. Progress isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being consistent over time.
11. Visualize Your Success
Take a few minutes each day to visualize what success looks like for you. Imagine how it will feel to achieve your goals, and let that positive energy drive you forward. Visualization is a powerful tool that can help keep your motivation alive, even when the journey feels long.
12. Reward Yourself
Don’t forget to reward yourself for your hard work. Whether it’s treating yourself to something special, taking a day off, or just indulging in your favorite activity, rewards help reinforce the positive behavior of staying productive. It gives you something to look forward to and makes the grind feel a little less grindy.
13. Keep Learning and Growing
Finally, keep feeding your mind with new ideas and inspiration. Read books, listen to podcasts, watch TED Talks—whatever gets your creative juices flowing. Continuous learning keeps you motivated by reminding you that there’s always more to discover and achieve.
Final Thoughts
Staying motivated and productive isn’t about working harder—it’s about working smarter. By setting clear goals, creating a routine that works for you, and prioritizing self-care, you can stay on top of your game without burning out. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint, so pace yourself, celebrate your progress, and keep moving forward. You’ve got this!
Love,
Sophia

organization 101
organization is about how we gather stimuli in our environment to complete tasks quickly and more effectively. it's about arranging our surroundings, providing order, and structuring items and activities around us.
this topic can be applied in so many instances - including physical spaces, digital files, schedules, and mental clarity.
staying organized offers several benefits:
★ when you're organized, you waste less time searching for things or figuring out what to do next. this efficiency leads to increased productivity
★ clutter and chaos can contribute to stress. an organized environment promotes a sense of calm and control.
★ organization helps you allocate time effectively. you can prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
★ a clutter-free workspace (or living space) allows you to concentrate better on the task at hand.
★ organized spaces encourage healthier habits, such as regular exercise, balanced meals, and adequate rest.
but how can you stay organized?
★ start with one area of focus (e.g. closet, desk, documents, ...) and gradually expand. focusing on one area allows you to see tangible progress, and as you declutter or organize, you'll build momentum to tackle other spaces.
trying to organize everything at once can be overwhelming. by narrowing your focus, you can prevent feeling swamped. concentrating on a specific area also allows you to learn effective strategies,, which you can apply to other parts of your life!
★ keep a to-do list. you can use a planner or digital tools to track tasks - and prioritize and sort tasks by urgency. write things down promptly to avoid forgetting them.
by freeing your mind from trying to remember all of your tasks, this mental offloading allows you to focus on the present moment. you can also assign urgency and importance, ensuring you will tackle what matters most.
★ give everything a home. clutter happens when items lack designated spaces. organize your physical and digital spaces intentionally.
★ once organized, maintain order consistently by building habits and systems. regularly review and adjust your systems when needed.
maintaining daily habits can significantly contribute to staying organized.
digital files
personally, the biggest issue i have with organization is building (and maintaining) a good system for digital files. it is crucial for me to learn how to organize these well, however, as a digital creator.
here is the process:
★ create a folder structure,, and design a clear hierarchy of folders that reflect your workflow. organize files logically based on projects, departments, dates, or file types.
at the moment i sort my files as content home < links, content plan, instagram, pinterest, tumblr, youtube < scheduling, post ideas
however, sometimes i find myself with documents that don't fit any of these sections. my plan for the future is to reorganize this to be the most effective it can.
★ use descriptive file names,, and name files clearly and concisely. include relevant keywords to make searching easier
★ consider using tags to categorize files across multiple dimensions. tags enhance searchability and allow flexible organization.
this is something that i am looking to employ!
★ utilize cloud services like google drive or dropbox for easy access from anywhere.
i will forever be a notion girl,, even though it is not quite a cloud service, it allows me a similar experience.
★ make decluttering a routine. delete duplicate or unnecessary files.
★ pin essential folders to your sidebar for quick access.
physical decluttering
writing this, i was reminded of the (horrid) bedrotting trend, especially those videos where people would show their rooms with shit everywhere and mould growing on stuff. i'm aware that some people find it super hard to maintain organization or declutter - hoarding is a very real issue.
the benefits of staying organized were previously mentioned, but decluttering specifically has its own little set of positives. this includes reduced stress, improved focus, enhanced productivity, and more positive overall wellbeing.
here are some essential tips if you are struggling to get started:
choose a small area or category to begin decluttering. set a timer (15-30 minutes) and sort items in that area into 'keep', 'donate', 'trash', or 'unsure' piles.
you could also attempt a room-by-room approach, by tackling one room at a time. focus on completing each room fully before moving on to the next.
try to organize your belongings into categories (keep, donate, sell, discard) to make decisions easier.
remember - progress comes from consistent effort, and small steps lead to a clutter-free space.

─────────────────────୨ৎ──────────────────
Tumblr media Tumblr media
September 1st is the true launchpad for new beginnings. Whether it's the start of a new academic year or a renewed mindset for chasing excellence, September 1st kicks off what we're officially dubbing "Hot Girl Fall"
September doesn’t just mark the transition from summer to fall—it’s a complete reset. The end of vacation mode means a renewed focus on goals, routines, and all those dreams you’ve been nurturing.
Tumblr media
1. set clear goals 🧋౨ৎ ˖ ࣪ Hot Girl Fall is all about growth, so start by setting goals that are important to you. Whether it’s academic, finishing a creative project, or learning a new skill, give yourself something to chase. Break your goals into smaller, achievable steps, and celebrate your progress along the way. (I will make a post abt reward ideas)
Tip: Create a vision board or digital collage for some visual inspiration to keep you motivated!
2. elevate your style this season 🥮౨ৎ ˖ ࣪ Fall fashion is the ultimate combination of cozy and chic. This is the season for layers, textures, and statement accessories. Invest in a few key pieces that you like. Consider leaning into trends that resonate with you— (I suggest looking up some styles on Pinterest) Recently, I have been loving the academic/preppy chic autumn outfits and the dark academia aesthetic.
Tip: Don't just follow trends; find pieces that express your personality. Mix in some timeless classics for a balanced look.
3. self-care 🍂౨ৎ ˖ ࣪ Being a "hot girl" isn't just about looking good—it’s about feeling good. As the days get shorter and cooler, make sure you're staying active and eating well. A little self-care goes a long way in keeping your mind and body balanced during this busy season. This is also a great time to focus on mental health, whether through meditation, journaling, or therapy.
Tip: Try creating a new fall wellness routine—maybe morning stretches or pilates, afternoon walks in nature, or weekly self-care nights with skincare and a good book.
4. organize your space to boost productivity 🚬౨ৎ ˖ ࣪ With September comes a new focus on work and personal goals. Take some time to declutter and organize your space, whether that’s your desk, closet, or digital files. A clear environment can lead to a clearer mind, allowing you to focus better and feel more at peace in your everyday life.
Tip: Implement simple systems like a daily planner, productivity apps, or dedicated time blocks to keep your tasks organized without overwhelming them.
5. embrace seasonal changes 🍁౨ৎ ˖ ࣪ Fall offers some of the most beautiful landscapes, so make sure to soak it in. Whether it’s a hike, a walk in the park, or just sitting with a cozy drink while watching the leaves fall, spending time outdoors can help you reset and ground yourself. Nature has a calming effect and can inspire new ideas, so use it as a creative escape when needed.
Tip: Get Outside & Enjoy Nature, you can even start a nature journal / sketchbook !
6. autumn mornings 🌟౨ৎ ˖ ࣪ Autumn mornings bring a cozy, refreshing vibe that can inspire a productive and peaceful start to your day. Establishing a consistent morning routine sets the tone for the day ahead and helps you feel more grounded as the season shifts. Start by taking a few deep breaths and thinking of one thing you’re excited about for the day—this positive intention will help you get moving.
Tip: Craft an Autumn morning routine that works for you !
6. homework and boost in productivity 🪶౨ৎ ˖ ࣪
Homework can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re balancing it with extracurriculars and social activities. Designate a spot for homework, whether it’s a desk, a library, or a quiet corner at home. Keep your workspace organized with all your supplies on hand—this minimizes interruptions and keeps you focused.
Start by listing all your assignments and prioritizing them based on deadlines and difficulty. Break large tasks into smaller, manageable chunks, and schedule specific time blocks for each task. Use a planner, to-do list, or digital app to stay on top of assignments. By having a plan in place, you avoid last-minute cramming and unnecessary stress.
Instead of scrolling on social media during breaks, do something that refreshes you mentally and physically. Stretch, take a short walk, grab a snack, or chat with a friend. Active breaks re-energize you without the risk of falling into procrastination traps.
7. caffeine for energy and focus🪶౨ৎ ˖ ࣪
Autumn calls for cozy beverages, and for many of us, that means indulging in caffeinated drinks like coffee, tea, or chai. Caffeine can be a helpful tool for boosting energy and focus—if used wisely.
Try not to rely on caffeine first thing in the morning; allow your body to wake up naturally. Have your coffee or tea about 1-2 hours after waking when your natural cortisol levels dip. This maximizes the effectiveness of the caffeine and prevents jitters or dependence.
8. reading more this fall🕯️౨ৎ ˖ ࣪
There’s no better time than fall to get lost in a good book. The cool weather and cozy atmosphere make it perfect for curling up with a blanket and diving into a novel, memoir, or educational read. Start by setting a realistic reading goal for the season—whether it’s reading one book a month, finishing a certain number of pages a day, or diving into a new genre.
Keep a book or e-reader with you at all times, whether you’re commuting, waiting in line, or relaxing during a break. Instead of reaching for your phone, get lost in a story. You’ll be surprised by how much extra reading you can squeeze into your day this way! (I love reading at libraries and on public transportation.)
───────────────────୨ৎ──────────────────
As the crisp autumn air settles in, let this season be your time to reset, refocus, and thrive. Whether it’s building a morning routine, staying on top of your homework, or creating a cozy atmosphere, remember that Hot Girl Fall is all about balance.🌟

Love what youre doing in this blog <3
Do you have any tips of staying organised, specifically keeping a tidy wardrobe and desk? Usually it takes me a long time to clean but normally whenever I finally tidy the things they never stay that way for long..
Thank you o2studies ♥️
I’m always really happy to hear that people are enjoying my stuff and it’s helpful to them!
I also really relate to struggling to keep your space organized as I used to struggle with that a lot when I first moved out. So I collected some tips that helped me and I hope they will do so for you too.
General tips:
Find a place for everything: The most important step in staying organised is to create an organization system that works for you. I think the things you need to keep in mind are 1. where do you need your things? 2. where is it easy to grab your things from? If you found a place that accomplishes both these points, try to keep your things in
Containers!: Putting things in containers prevents them from just laying around and thus reduces visual clutter. You can also just have a bucket where you put things that you need to put away later -> makes the tidying-up-process less overwhelming. This works both with containers for pencils and papers on your desk and for organizers in your closet
Put things away after using them: This is ofcourse one of the most basic tips, but it can be very helpfull to keep your place tidy. If you put things away after using them they don’t pile up.
Take time every day to de-clutter: If the last tip doesn’t work for you try this instead. For me this time used to be after coming home from school and now its in the morning before I start studying. Instead of taking a lot of time to clean everything, take a little time each day to for example put away the papers you worked on or the clothes you wore yesterday
Desk organization tips:
Keep only what you need on you desk: A cluttered workspace can be distracting and make it difficult to focus on the task at hand. It’s also helpful too keep open desk space, so you have space to work.
-> Keep things you need often nearby: Keeping the things you need most near your dominant hand makes it easier to grab them. This also makes it easier to put them back where they belong and you don’t have to shuffle things around because they’re hard to reach
Utilize your wall space, the space under your desk and stack vertically: A floating shelve/a pegboard or drawer organizers can be helpful to have more storage space and stacking things vertically is a more efficient use of space
Organize your desk according to your work process: Again if things already are where you need them to be, you don’t need to put them back and it’s also just more efficient. For example; a lot of people work from left to right, so they put documents they need to work on on the left of their desk and the documents they finished working on on the right
Wardrobe organization tips:
Clean out your closet: It can be hard to keep your wardrobe organized, when it’s overflowing so start off with downsizing and decluttering. Selling some off your stuff on websites like Poshmark or eBay or donate it to give it a second live
-> Make future clean outs easier: Place a distinct (i.e., brightly colored) hanger at the front of each section of your closet. Every time you wear something and wash it, hang it up in front of that hanger. After a few months, it’ll be pretty easy to see what got worn and what didn’t
-> Pack away seasonal clothing: Try to store the clothes you don’t need at the time somewhere else (like in another storage space/boxes or vacuum packs) to make place in your wardrobe
Create Zones: You could divide items by type, by color or based on how frequently you use them. Put high-use items in the front so they’re easy to grab and you don’t have to go through all your things. Zones also help to get an overview of everything you have so you again don’t have to go through everything
=> Hope that helped, thanks for the question!

New Moon in Virgo
Tuesday 3rd September 2024
New Moon in Virgo brings a fresh start focused on organization, health, and self-improvement. It's the perfect time to set intentions for personal growth and refine your routines. Advice: Set realistic goals and focus on the details. Activities: Create a detailed plan, start a new health regimen, or declutter your workspace.
For New Moon in Virgo, Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana): This gentle flow mirrors Virgo’s attention to detail and promotes a healthy spine. Begin on all fours, alternate between arching your back (Cow) and rounding it (Cat). Focus on your breath, syncing it with the movements to create a rhythm of renewal and care.

been doin a lot of decluttering, trashing and donating, which has felt amazing. still lots left to pack but we're managing it, a little bit each day. i just can't wait to be in the new place already, and to start fresh with a new set up for my room and workspace.
