I feel like IV would take him outside to sit with a drink on the terrace and just talk about his worries or anything and everything. ''Seriously Lucy, we're fine with Casipan''  

Lucy returned to Narnia with Edmund in the middle of the sea, and that made you happy because they were your friends but now you had a situation: Lucy did not believe in your love for Caspian. 

''We're really good, seriously'' You repeat again. 

''Yes, darling, but being well doesn't mean being in love'' 

You stop seeing the map that rests on the table. ''Listen, you miss Peter, right?''

You sigh, letting your shoulders slump. They dated Peter before he grew old enough to no longer be accepted in Narnia, so you were left alone, desperate and without your loved one, but then within your desolation, with patience, Caspian won your heart.

''Obviously I miss Peter, how I miss Susan, how I miss you guys'' You explain. ''But what does that have to do with Caspian?''

''Don't play dumb'' Lucy's voice is a perfect mix of sweetness and firmness.

''The question is if you miss Peter as a boyfriend... as a man''

''Ehm..'' You start stammering, searching for your words. ''Lu, Peter was very important to me and I will love him all my life but now I'm with Caspian and I'm fine''

 ''Well, but if you have to choose, have to compare between one and the other, who...?''

You interrupt her. ''Stop, I'm not going to compare because comparisons are hateful'' You reason. 

''I am hateful, compare'' Resolve. 

''Well, they're different.'' You try to eliminate the topic but Lucy raises an eyebrow, waiting for the answer she wants. You gasp and give up. ''Caspian is sweet and I had a great time with him''

''Bored.''

''It's not boring... but if I have to compare Peter was more romantic, he prepared surprises for me'' Lucy smiles.

''I still have a good time with Caspian, he's just less expressive'' You try to defend him. 

You raise your arm, not knowing that Caspian was hearing from the other side of the room. ''No?''.

''Where are you taking me?'' You smile with Caspian's hands covering your eyes. 

''You trust me'' He answers, also smiling. 

Caspian counts to 3 and removes his hands showing a lake. 

''How cute..'' He says cloyingly.

His hands travel around you, hugging you, and he kisses your temple. 

You shake your head, looking at him. ''And why did you bring me here?'' 

''It's a surprise''

''No, no, no, what a surprise? I have to organize the next event and you must...'' You ramble until Caspian interrupts you. 

''Wait love, the world is not going to fall if we take a day off.'' He holds your body in his hands. Then your face changes, you just smile and kiss him.

Caspian leaves the rod stuck in the ground, with the hook in the water, and runs to you, who are resting on the blanket on the ground. 

You bite your lips when he comes to you with a dreamy smile. 

The rod falls and a noise leaves your lips wanting to run to nail it again.

''No! ''Seeing your intentions, Caspian stops you and runs to do it himself. ''Stay there, you are my guest of honor'' 

You laugh and return to your place.

When Caspian returns to your side you look at his face, kissing him.

''I love you'' You say, falling onto the blanket with his body floating above you.

''What?''

''Nothing, silence. You hear it?'' Caspian nods and your eyes shine, caressing his cheek.

'''How many people are there that you can stay like this with? In silence?'' Lectures.

''Only one, and you?''

You don't answer, you just take his lips with a goofy smile. 

After several kisses you separate.

''Loosen up, there are underage birds'' 

Caspian laughs softly, ''How I would stay in this moment forever...''

''Well, let's stay, here and now. Although we are going to miss the boys a little''

''If I'm with you, I don't miss anyone.'' He joins his lips.

''Not even a bit of noise, of swords...?''

 ''No, nothing'' He says quickly and with some desperation he kisses you. 

You separate again. ''Look, with so much silence we can get bored as a log''

Caspian sighs and lets his face fall to rest on his fist.

''That's right, I'm going to miss the horses'' You comment looking at the lake.

''horse riding ..''

Your comment only frustrated the boy more, because there was no one who didn't know that it was Peter who taught you to ride, and gave you that fanaticism.

''But who says, maybe one will come here'' You smile and Caspias can't stand it. 

''Why don't you say it once and for all?'' He Accuses. 

''What?''

''You've got me fed up, you miss Peter all day, all the time.''

Your tongue is spoiled and your nerves make you babble. ''Caspian, what are you talking about?'' 

Caspian stands up and feels like he explodes. ''About what happens to you, what happens to you when you see the photos and you regret not being there with him'' 

''That's different from me, more sensitive, more romantic. Did you know? Why don't you cross that world of his and go with him? '' His words come out alone and he is not able to think about what he says. 

Your eyes lower as your boyfriend walks away.

''My love, come here'' You say running towards him. ''Stop. What's wrong with you?'' You reach for him.

His eyes seem to darken and he scratches the back of his neck. ''I'm jealous, I'm jealous of Peter's ghost,'' she admits.

''I heard you talking to Lucy and I started competing with him''

''What? I don't know what you heard"

''I wanted to be as romantic as him but it all turned out wrong. I can't compete with the memory you have of him.'' 

''Alright..''

 ''If he were here it would be very different, but he is not here and it is very difficult.. '' He rambles and you have to interrupt him

''Well'' You sigh. ''I miss Peter as much as the other boys.''Caspian shakes his head, not believing your words.

''But because they are my friends and I want them back.'' You explain. 

Your hands touch his face. ''That has nothing to do with us, my love."

"I want to be with you and that won't change even if Peter comes back."

He removes your hands from his face. ''No, you don't know what's going to happen to you''

''Yes, yes, I know"

''no, you don't know and that's fine'' It is pointed out. ''On the other hand, I do know what's happening to me.''

He eyes stab you. ''I do know that I love you'' He snorts and touches his head.

''Forgive me, but I can't be a mature guy, sometimes the child inside comes out''

You just smile and your eyes narrow.

Caspian gives a half smile. ''You love me the same, don't you?''

You don't nod, you don't speak, you just take his walk and your mouths meet. 

They both return to the blanket and enjoy their evening, until nightfall, but more in love than before.

A/N: Happy Halloween! This is cheesy as hell and I'm not sure if I like how it turned out, but I haven't posted anything in forever, so I thought I'd give it a go! Let me know what you think! I promise I'm working on requests!

"Chrissy, are you sure about this?" 

Your eyes burnt as Chrissy dragged a black eyeliner pencil over your waterline. She stuck her tongue out in concentration, brushing away a tear that had gathered at the outer corner of your eye. The liner smeared a bit beneath her thumb, but she left the smudge where it was, deciding it added to the look. Your eyes fluttered open as she capped the pencil proudly. "I'm absolutely positive! You're going to knock his socks off!" 

You tried to hide your uncertainty, glancing over at the small television in your friend's room. 

Chrissy had taken it upon herself to tape that week's episode of  Elvira's Movie Macabre after overhearing Eddie call the series host "a total fuckin' smoke show" in a conversation at the Hellfire table. 

"It's fool-proof!" She'd explained to you as she fast forwarded through the weekly B-Movie, pausing on a clear shot of Elvira. "We know he likes Elvira, and we know he likes you. If we combine the two, the results will be completely irresistible!" 

The speech had been very convincing as your friend studied the TV host's makeup, but now, as she plucked a cherry red lipstick from her collection, you were starting to have your doubts. Not that you had much of a choice. You'd been pining over Eddie since Mrs. O'Donnell had assigned you to him as a tutor last fall, and it was getting to be pathetic. 

You'd been nervous at first. You didn't know anything about Eddie, apart from the nasty rumors that Jason Carver liked to spread in the cafeteria. From the things he'd said, you'd half expected Eddie to start performing ritualistic sacrifices mid study session. Instead, you were met with a goofy, friendly, curly-headed boy, who immediately told you that he was "Sorry, you got stuck with the freak." He certainly wasn't scary. In fact, you liked Eddie. 

You could see why his grades were suffering. He had trouble focusing, and you often had to tell him things several times before he was able to absorb them. It was as if his brain was too loud on the inside. That being said, Eddie's attempts were earnest. He worked so hard to do right by you, and you'd celebrate a C minus like it was a badge of honor if it made Eddie feel proud of himself. 

All week long you eagerly awaited the afternoons when Eddie would pick you up from cheer practice in his van. He always looked so happy to see you, honking the horn and calling your name just so he could see you go all blushy and giggly in front of your friends. In moments like that, when Eddie smiled at you like you hung the stars, you could almost let yourself believe he loved you back. 

You must have had hearts in your eyes when he'd invited you to come see his band play. He'd gone so blushy when he asked, scratching his neck awkwardly as he stuttered through his words. 

"You don't have to come. It's just a small gig, y'know? You've got to start somewhere. But I'd really like it if you came. I'd like to see you there... I think Steve and Robin said they'd come too, so, you won't be there on your own or anything. But you don't have to come if-" 

You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him into a great big hug. "Oh Eddie!! Of course I'll come!! Don't be silly!! I'd love to see you play!" 

You couldn't have known, but Eddie had wanted nothing more in that moment but to kiss you senseless. You looked so sweet there in his arms, clad in your little pink cardigan and lacy socks. Your lips were a glossy smile, your cheeks dusted rosy. Eddie couldn't remember the last time he'd been hugged like that. 

You thought about his pretty brown eyes as you puckered your lips. Chrissy painted them carefully, finishing them off with a touch of gloss before she ran to retrieve a can of hairspray from her bathroom. 

"I don't have a teasing comb, so a regular comb will have to do!"

You looked...Well, you looked like Elvira.

Chrissy had worked magic. Your eyelashes were dark and heavy with mascara, your eyes shrouded in sexy black smoke. Your hair was perfectly wild and mussed, like you'd just gotten off of a motorcycle. You stared at your reflection, red lips parted in shock. 

Chrissy grinned, "Well, what do you think?" 

It was perfect. You looked like one of the girls in the band posters Eddie had taped up in his room. If he didn't want you like this, then nothing would win him over. 

"Oh, Chrissy...it's beautiful!" 

'`You're beautiful, silly!' She giggled as you pulled her into a hug, looking you up and down. "We've just got to find you an outfit to match now, hm?" 

The thought hadn't crossed your mind. You looked in the mirror again, realizing how out of place your little skirt and blouse looked next to your hair and makeup. Your closet wasn't filled with anything better…mostly an array of pastels. That is except for one recent addition. 

Your brows raised, an idea tugging a smile to your lips.

Eddie searched for you from the wings, unable to find you in the bar's sparse crowd. Surely you'd come. You said you would come, right? 

He didn't let the band go on until Gareth reassured him that he had definitely seen you coming in. "She's here man. And shit, she dressed up real pretty for you, too. Just relax, ok? She'll eat it up." 

Despite the stroke of possessiveness that sat in his chest over the comment, Eddie concurred that he'd never played better. The whoops and hollers as the band played were almost exclusively from his friends, but it didn't matter. You were there. He might as well have been playing Madison Square Garden. 

"We're Corroded Coffin and you guys fuckin' rock!"

The moment he exited the stage and carefully rested Sweetheart in her stand, he was sprinting to the dressing room. His skin was drenched in sweat from the lights, but thankfully, his curls still looked relatively good. He checked his teeth as he toweled off and clumsily pulled on a shirt, nearly tripping over his own feet in his haste. 

He searched the crowd at the bar, but found no sign of your usual pink lace and frills. Finally, he wandered over to Robin and Steve, his dark brows furrowed with confusion. "Have you guys-" 

His words trailed off when he finally noticed you, standing right there next to Steve. Your hair was mussed and teased, heavy makeup lining your eyes and lips. You smiled at the sight of him, tucking some hair behind your ear. 

Only then did Eddie see what you were wearing. There, oversized on your frame, was his leather. He'd leant it to you a few nights back when he'd dropped you off at your house. It'd started raining, and you were still in your cheer uniform from practice. Eddie had found particular satisfaction in watching you curl up in it, giving his cheek a grateful peck before running inside. 

"Y/N?" 

Your smile faded a little, seeing the confusion in his eyes, but you shook it off, jogging over to hug him tight. "Eddie!" 

You grinned up at him, excitement in your eyes. "Oh, Eddie! It was amazing! You really-" 

"What are you wearing, sweetheart?" He frowned as he smoothed your hair a little, thumbing at your smudged eyeliner. 

Immediately, your face fell. You saw disbelief flash in Robin's expression from the corner of your eye. Your voice was so soft when you spoke again, "You don't like it?"

Eddie was at a loss for words, confused by every last detail of the situation he was in. He shrugged, scratching his neck awkwardly.

"I-...Well I..." 

He fucked up. Oh he fucked up. Your pretty eyes glossed with tears, betrayal in your expression. His stomach lurched as your arms dropped from his waist and you took a step away from him.

Eddie floundered. "Y/N-" 

You shook your head, chest flooding with embarrassment. A tear welled over. "No, I'm sorry. I just-...I really shouldn't have come."  

The crowd thickened as you backed away from him. 

"Y/N!" He shouted for you as you snaked through the crowd, following behind you. "Y/N that's not what I-" He grabbed your wrist, pulling you to him, but you only thrust his jacket against his chest, embarrassment burning your ears. 

You turned from him again, and before he could even reach for you, you were gone.

"Eddie Munson, what the hell is wrong with you!?" Robin shouted as Eddie scrambled around the greenroom, trying to find the keys to his van. 

"I know. I know, Robs. I fucked up, ok?" Panic laced his tone as he tugged his curls angrily. 

"Yes! Yes you did! She showed up here tonight dressed like she'd just walked out of your own personal wet dream, and you totally fumbled!" Steve put a hand on Robin's shoulder, reeling her in. She only sighed, holding her temples. "Eddie, you don't question a woman on how she looks. Unless she is, perhaps, wearing actual clown shoes-" 

"I get it Robin!" He shouted, voice cracking as tears smarted his nose. He collapsed on the green room couch in defeat, burying his face in his hands. "I fucking get it, ok? I'm an asshole. I'm the biggest moron alive." 

Steve sighed, wandering over to sit beside him on the couch. "Dude, you're not a moron." 

Eddie didn't respond, only stared at the ground. His eyes were red with tears. 

Steve crooned to meet his gaze. "And you're not an asshole either, huh? You didn't mean to hurt her feelings. Did you really think she looked bad?" 

"No." He choked, wrapping his torso iin his arms. "She looked fucking gorgeous, man. I was just surprised." 

Steve smiled encouragingly, giving Eddie's shoulder a shove. "Then find your damn keys and go tell her that, ok? Y/N's an angel. She'll understand." 

Eddie sniffled and rubbed his face with a nod, standing from the couch. Steve jumped up after him, "Eddie, wait..." 

He turned to look at Steve as he caught up with him, plucking the keys from where he'd spotted them in the back pocket of Eddie's pants. "Go get 'er, Tiger."

You were glad your parents had gone out to dinner that night. If your mom had seen your outfit, she would have had a heart attack. If your dad had seen you crying, Eddie would have been a dead man. 

You cried until your makeup was gone. And then you washed the black smears from your face and cried some more.

It'd been a stupid idea, really...trying to be like the girls he liked. You'd never be like those girls, even if you looked the part. Eddie knew that. He was probably mortified at the sight of you...all dressed up in a silly costume at his important gig. You shouldn't have even tried. 

You dozed off on the couch, wishing you'd never given him his leather back. You wanted nothing more than to put on his big jacket and fall asleep wrapped in the smell of him. Well, there was one thing you wanted more. You'd rather have him holding you. 

You were half asleep on the living room couch when the front door opened. You ignored the sound, curling in tighter on yourself and trying to go back to sleep. You weren't in the mood to answer your parent's questions right now. You just wanted to sulk. Heavy footsteps made their way into the living room, and you couldn't help but sigh as the figure knelt beside the couch. A warm hand rubbed your shoulders, sweetly. 

"Sweetheart?" 

The voice was soft and hoarse. You rolled over, brows furrowed with confusion. "Eddie?" 

He gave you a sad smile as you rubbed your eyes, holding up the spare key he'd found under the mat. "I did knock."

You sniffled, sitting up on an elbow, but Eddie relaxed your shoulders sweetly, guiding you to lay back down. " 's alright." He hummed, barely audibly. "Stay comfy."

"What're you doing here?" Your voice was croaky, but defensive. A hollow ache panged in his chest at your distrust. 

"Well…" He sighed, adjusting his position so he could sit more comfortably on the floor beside the couch. "You ran off before I could tell you how pretty you look tonight." 

His voice was earnest and calm, but you shook your head angrily and crossed your arms over your chest, tears burning your eyes. "I looked stupid."

Eddie's dark brows furrowed, "Hey, that's not true. Why would you say that?" 

You felt a hot trail roll down your cheek, "I embarrassed you." 

"Horsehit." Eddie scoffed, "You really think I was embarrassed by you?"

You nodded, still refusing to meet his eyes.

"What's so embarrassing about having the hottest, most badass looking chick in all of Hawkins show up to my gig, huh?" 

You went bright pink, and Eddie couldn't help but smile a little. He pulled you closer to hold you in a hug, admiring you as he stroked your hair.

"It was absolutely killer. And if you want to change up your look, then hell, I'm with you all the way." You shied at his praise. "That being said… I'm kind of in deep for this little ray of sunshine that I'm always running around with, huh?" 

You hid your face, making him grin. 

"There's my shy girl." He laughed, tapping your cheek playfully with his thumb as he cradled your jaw. "Sweetheart, when you showed up dressed all punk…I thought maybe it was because I'd made you feel like you had to change the way you look because of me."

You relaxed a little. He wasn't exactly wrong. You had dressed like that for him. 

You blinked through your remaining tears, letting your cheek press into the palm of his hand. "C-Chrissy heard you say you think Elvira's pretty." 

Realization flashed in his eyes, a small smile creeping to his face, "Wait a second..." 

Your face flushed. 

He grinned, "Are you telling me that you tried to look like Elvira, because you wanted me to think you're pretty?" 

You nodded, ashamed, and toyed with the rips in his jeans, avoiding eye contact. 

Eddie was smiling like the sun, "Christ, you precious thing..."

"I wanted you to be proud of me at your show." You whined defensively. "I thought I'd stick out like a sore thumb in my normal clothes, and I like you so much Eddie. I know I'm not really your type, and I wanted to look pretty for you, like the girls in your band posters, but made a fool of myse-" 

"Y/N L/N." He took your face firmly in both hands, making you look him dead in the eye. It was only then that you realized he was giving you that look again. Like you'd hung the stars. "How on earth have you not realized that you've got me on a fucking string?" 

You frowned, eyes glossed with emotion. "What?" 

Eddie chuckled, disbelieving. "Baby, forget Elvira. Do you even know what you do to me?" 

You could only sit there in front of him dumbly, lips parted in shock. 

"Jesus Christ, sweetheart. I look forward to seeing you all week. I'm like a man deprived. And then you show up looking so happy to see me and you're dressed so sweet with your little bows and lace. God...I can't get you out of my head." 

Eddie's cheeks were pink.

"You wanted me to be proud of you, baby? I'm so fuckin proud of you. I feel like I've won the lottery every time you smile at me. A pretty thing like you running around with a freak like me? That's a miracle. And I will show you off to every damn person I see, angel. I'm so proud of you. Proud that you'd even humor me enough to come to my show, let alone change up your entire look just for me? Holy shit. I'm the luckiest son of a bitch there is." 

You were smiling now, trying to hide your face from him in the couch cushions as he pulled you close, kissing your cheeks through your giggles. He crawled up onto the couch, tickling your sides until you were smiling ear to ear, and your tears were replaced with happy ones. 

You laid on your back now with his head rested on your tummy, playing with his curls passively as he admired you. "Who's your celebrity crush, huh?" 

"You." 

Eddie chuckled, "Oh, come on…There's got to be someone." 

You blushed, eyeing the smirk on his face. 

He hummed, "Rob Lowe?" 

You shook your head, busy with his curls. 

"Tom Cruise? You into pilots?" 

You laughed, shaking your head again. 

He watched you closely, "Ralph Macchio?" You paused for a moment, your ears burning as Eddie's face split into a grin. "Oh, Shit! She's into Macchio!!" 

You hid your face, "Oh, Eddie. It's nothing really. I just thought he was awfully cute in-"

Eddie's big brown eyes, lit up. "You think Chrissy will make me over too? Oh man, I've got to start Karate lessons!" 

"Noo!!" You squealed, shoving him playfully on the shoulder. 

"I'm serious! Wax on, Wax off…I'll start calling you Grasshopper and learn how to do that kick!" 

You held your stomach, laughing through his verbal sound effects as he mimed the kick poorly with a socked foot. "Eddie, you'll break a leg doing that!" 

He grinned, "It's only fair, babe. You got to be Elvira!"

Katsuki Bakugo- this is very obvious if you just look at 90% of my fics😭🤭 he’s peak grumpy sunshine. Also when he falls, he falls head over heels. Also he’s a great cook and that’s +10 points in my book

Sator Gojo- he comes off silly goofy but honestly baby boy is damaged. I just want to be the person that takes care of him and get his genuine smile

Megumi Fushiguro- he just cares so much. He doesn’t want anyone to know it but he values the people he cares about so highly. Also is actually very funny and a smartass. He’d fit my personality perfectly because I know he’s non verbal sometimes and I have sensory problems with noise.

Kotaro Bokuto- light of my life. Would make you smile and cry laughing. Does whatever he can to make you happy even when he’s sad. He needs care and reassurance and I will provide that for him. Such a loyal boy.

Kento Nanami- HUSBAND MATERIAL. He’s a newer addition to my top 10 but it’s cuz he’s the sweetest man in the entire world. Would grab the stars from the sky and give them to you if you asked it of him.

Shota Aizawa- again grumpy x sunshine. He’s so nonchalantly the sweetest person. Would kill anyone who crosses you or his kids. He’s pretty much a father to those children. They’d come first and I actually love him for that.

Sanji Vinsmoke- I say again, being a good cook is automatic +10! This man’s day starts and ends with you. He’s obsessed. Will never let you lift and finger and will fight for your honor at the drop of a dime.

Reiner Braun- another broken man I just want to take care of. He’s so broken and he deserves to heal… with me. Also he’d be the best dad in the entire world.

Tengen Uzui- I love big bright personality. Strong asf and have you seen how fine he is. Major reason he slips into top 10 for me is that he comes with 3 wives! One arm or two, he’s a great husband. He takes care of all you guys’ needs.

Kei Tsukishima- that asshole, sarcastic ass personality really does it for me. Like yes sir, be a little mean to me. He’s also really smart and is going to be a provider. So in love with you but the words are hard for him. Will spend his time showing you how much he cares tho.

ALRIGHT BESTIES BUCKLE UP FOR MY MUTANT MAYHEM COMMENTARY

i will kick this off by saying that Mutant Mayhem is quite honestly one of my favorite iterations of the turtles EVER, second only to the 2012 versions.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR MUTANT MAYHEM (duh lmao)

the theme of having a family and a place to belong was established from the VERY beginning of the movie, so yeah, heartbreaking start lmao

Baxter's devotion to his children was just 😭😭

the way Leo gets teased is SO perfectly how siblings tease each other, the little mocking tones and gestures is literally how my siblings and i act with each other

no bc Splinter having a history of being rejected by those around him and the boys being all he has and the one time he tries to go into a new environment it goes terribly and that's what leads him to never wanting the boys to leave 😭

but of course it's also SUCH a valid explanation for how he behaves like ofc he's going to try to keep his sons safe!!

BUT i'm not complaining because that added so much to the boys!!

i love April, she's so realistically hesitant about the turtles, but also realizes that they can help with Superfly

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

It’s hard to say because, and I say this with shame—I haven’t read the books in a long, long time. Off the top of my head though, I didn’t like that part in Ender’s Stocking where he became weirdly misogynistic. That was weird. I’m not and have never been a genius teen boy with a younger sister who got rejected by a girl at high school so I can’t say if the interplay between those specific factors would create that outcome—but I sure can say, I didn’t like it.

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

Ether Strike - Akira Complex. It’s hard to explain because it’s a rhythm game song (hello Arcaea fans) whose lyrics consists of like 4 unique lines but I’ll try. “An intense dissatisfaction with the world / And a compulsion to do something about it / Heaven and Earth / My guiding star” It is a compulsion, right? The way he decided he’d be the one to be in charge of it all. Fueled by a sense of desperation for any amount of validation and the guilt that came with. “My guiding star” reminds me of the conversation he had with Ender at the end of Shadow of the Giant where he said that he’d always think, what would Ender do? It helps that I hear a lot of grief, longing, and determination in the drop, too. Honorable mentions to All You Had To Do Was Stay by TS and Mirror Man by Jack Stauber.

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

Admire is a weirdly specific word in this context. There’s Bean, Petra, his parents, Graff, Achilles, Ender, Val whom I can see him having notable relationships with. Honestly, none of them are quite admirable? These relationships are interesting and complex and I like reading about them but I wouldn’t say that I look up to them for guidance on what to do with my own social life? The only exception is his relationship with Petra. He gave her space to grieve and a cushion to fall back on. He learned to love and they learned to trust.

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Dude, the first time I read Ender’s Game I was 12 years old. I don’t even remember how I felt towards the book overall. If I had to guess, I probably didn’t like him. At that stage in my life I would’ve related more to Ender. I do, however, remember the first time I picked EG up for a reread. I fell in love IMMEDIATELY. From the moment the book underlined his hatred with how he felt he wasn’t good enough, I knew he was THE standout character. The scene where he apologizes to Ender thinking that Ender’s asleep… HEARTWRENCHING. His heart-to-heart with Val… MY HEART BROKE. Meanwhile he was also so silly and goofy… literally the most crass character, always saying some wild out of pocket thing that made me go “hang on, we read this in sixth grade??!??” Now, with the part of the Enderverse that pertains to him completely in my pocket, it’s hard to pin down how I feel about him. From a personal perspective, he’s still by far my favorite character. His struggles and triumphs are vivid in a way that the other character’s just don’t live up to, and his failures are incredibly real. Viewing the books from a more critical view, Peter’s existence is interesting in and of itself because he occupies a lot of gray areas in the narrative. He’s a major antagonist in EG, and the only one that changes from an antagonist to a protagonist. He’s meant to be untrustworthy while being likable, making him rather unserious. In a narrative that usually frames characters as People We Should Listen To and People We Shouldn’t Listen To, Peter is the only character that we sorta kinda maybe should listen to depending on how much despair he’s experiencing. He’s explicitly allowed to make terribly embarrassing mistakes that threaten to debase his entire character, but he’s allowed to be helped. He’s allowed to crack jokes; the narrative is allowed to crack jokes about him. There’s an inherent levity to any scene he’s in. He can’t take the moral high ground in any argument—we’ve all seen him at his worst—yet he’s also working towards putting more good in the world. He’s a character filled to the brim with contradictions and even more determination to work through them. As a result, his viewpoints have a nebulous, fluid quality that made it impossible for OSC to use him as a personal megaphone, since, though the reader encouraged to challenge Peter’s assumptions, at the end of the day we’re still on Peter’s side—we want him to succeed, but we know that he WILL fumble doing it. He’s personable. And vivid. Which makes him a poor tool and a fabulous icon. A role that sort of echos his treatment in the novels themselves. Anyway. I think he’s neat.

Succession + The Bear: I can’t choose between my fucked up, messy children. Both shows were just so phenomenally brilliant this year, I cannot be held responsible for the amount of gifsets I have reblogged from both. 

Reservation Dogs: Gonna miss this show so, so, so much. I will never stop recommending this show to anyone who will listen. It’s so lovely, so warm, so funny, so human.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Am I putting SNW this high on the list partly because I still feel bad I forgot it on last year’s list? Or because it’s an absolute delight that made me fall in love with Star Trek again? Why not both?! They did a goddamn musical episode, guys! Spock had a whole song about math!!!!!!!!

Doctor Who Specials: Despite being an active part of Superwholock on this here website back in ye olden times, I fell off with Doctor Who somewhere in the Capaldi years and never checked back in. Even when it was announced RTD, Tennant & Tate were coming back I must admit I rolled my eyes a bit, assumed the worst, and didn’t give it much thought. And then approximately five minutes into the first special, when Ten Fourteen first sees Donna, I immediately started crying and realized that maybe I needed this, they needed this, we all needed this, and that despite all of its inherent silliness, Doctor Who still has the ability to be just absolutely special in a way few other shows can. I’m back in, baby, and totally psyched for what Ncuti Gatwa is going to do.

Jury Duty: Was very nervous about how this one was going to go, to be honest. The premise seemed a bit mean-spririted, and in less thoughtful hands this could have really gone a different way. But it wasn’t agonizing at all - it actually turned out to be an endearing celebration of kindness and human decency, and honestly we could all do with more of that these days.

Barry: But hey, if an endearing celebration of kindness and human decency isn’t up your alley, then boy is Barry is the show for you! It really was bleak AF in its final run but it turns out Bill Hader is an even better filmmaker than he is a comic actor (and he is an amazing comic actor, to be clear!)

How To with John Wilson: This show has always been so weird, so surprising, so surreal, so authentically New York. You never knew what kind of journey you were going to go on with John Wilson and his camera, but you always knew you were always going to have a great time - I will miss it very much.

As for personality, I’m very silly and goofy with friends and family. I know them enough to not be afraid to make mistakes or make them laugh. They always say in a total optimist! I always try my best to see the glass as half full, especially these days when there’s so much negativity and heartache. I’ve also been known as the mom friend of all my friend groups because I always make sure everyone is taken care of and am always happy to just listen to anyone that needs to vent. When it's cold outside, you both can camp out in front of the fireplace with blankets, he will, after much begging, use his unique magic to shift into his wolf self, and cuddle up next to the fire. Thoigh, do mind the thumping tail. It's much harder for him to control it like this. It has a mind of its own when it comes to you.

• Knit this man something, crochet anything for him and he will just melt. Though this complete tsuendere of a wolf man would never admit it, his tail totally gives him away. You've caught him plenty of times with the things you've made for him. He can't help it! You made it just for HIM, and it smells just like YOU. Yeah, he's whipped.

• Jack is a family man. He has younger siblings, he has his parents, and wolves have one partner for their lifetime. If he's with you, he is loyal and he is dedicated to you and only you. You are his mate and you can guarantee that he will make sure that everyone knows it. He's also protective.

• Speaking of family, he certainly would love to be able to have his own little pups 3unning around one day. Perfect little mixes of him and you. But only once you've both graduated, settled down, and are stable and ready enough for a family. He takes the welfare of you and his future pups VERY seriously.

• This man will certainly help you in the kitchen whether he can cook or not. He is someone who will go in halfway. Any, you make dinner, then he does all the clean up. You start the laundry, and he will put it all away. This boy was raised right and to be a gentleman.

• I can see him as someone who may like to travel and see things. See some new places with you. It's always worth it when it's with you. The first place he takes you is his own homeland (his family is absolutely smitten with you, for the record). And mayer dien the road, if you guys ever have a family, family vacations! Anywhere is perfect just so long as he gets to be with you and your pups!

• The biggest hype group the both of you ever had will always be the rest of the first year gang. Ace was harping on the both of y'all about when you would finally get together. Even Sebek could see the chemistry and we all know how that one is!

• He loves your optomist personality! You just always seem to be so happy to him, so carefree and wild without a care. Even if there are times when you have a rough day, you smile, but you also know you can confide in him. He may be a little dense with certain things, but he knows when you need him and this is one of those moments and he will out down everything to ensure you will be alright.

• He will indulge in some of the conventions here and there. They can be rather intriguing to visit. It's like a rather large culture festival that you decided to share with him. You still have a picture of the time you managed to get him to go with you as both of you dressed up as Red Riding Hood and the wolf. He already had the necessary assets taken care of, so it was rather easy. He will never admit it out loud, but he enjoyed it. Especially seeing the bright happiness that covered your face day long and the way your eyes would shine when you looked at him. His tail was more of a fan thay day than a tail, the poor thing was going so fast.

• Overall, you have a dedicated and loyal family man who would do anything if it meant to see yojr safety and happiness. This also means you have your own personal furnace in the dead of winter! He may never know how he got so lucky to have you, but now that he does, he will never let you go through anything alone.

actually i think one of the things i loved most about love and thunder was thor’s character journey and the healthy representation it is for young boys that are watching this movie. how thor shows that it’s okay to show emotions and to feel things even if it hurts. how thor fights alongside two women the entire movie and it seems like the greatest honor of his life. how thor outwardly loves and shares his feelings with jane and wants her to know how much he actually loves her instead of shying away from it. how thor showed that it’s a role of a lifetime to cook and clean and get your kid dressed and take care of them because that’s what a dad should be doing too. how thor didn’t clean off mjolnir after love put makeup on it despite being a traditionally feminine thing. how thor isn’t serious and closed off all of the time but silly and goofy and just wants to live life. he is such a positive role model for young boys growing up right now, and the movie even showed us that by showing how much the kids in new asgard admire him. idk it just makes me really soft and chris hemsworth truly should be very proud of what he has done to thor over the years and how he has become that role model for so many kids across the world. ily god of thunder
