About three months ago, I started writing a fic with one single goal: to include every underrated trope and forgotten headcanon this fandom always leaves behind.

Don’t get me wrong — I love some of the big, overused Marauders tropes (and a few of them do show up), but this story is a love letter to the things we don’t talk about enough. So here are a few of my favorite differences:

◾ Mary Macdonald as a central character — and her sibling-style relationship with Sirius, which I swear is criminally underrated.

◾ A complex Lily Evans, who makes mistakes, has flaws, and is so much more than a perfect redhead in love with James Potter, which by the way she's not, because my Fic has Marylily relevance.

◾ Peter being younger than the rest, creating a little-brother dynamic that adds so much angst and softness at the same time.

◾ Lily & Petunia’s relationship — because I adore the Black brothers, but the Evans sisters deserve equal levels of emotional chaos.

◾ Sirius dealing with guilt over Andromeda leaving the family, while realizing he did exactly the same to Regulus.

◾ Rodolphus Lestrange as an actual character, not just Bellatrix’s husband. He’s got depth, gray morality, and ancient Black family trauma™.

◾ Emmeline Vance matters. That’s it. That’s the point.

◾ A dystopian/post-apocalyptic setting with realistic stakes — yes, there’s "magic", but there’s also scarcity, exhaustion, war, and hard choices.

◾ Drama, secrets, and canon references that took me hours to weave in without breaking timelines.

◾ James Potter has an eyebrow piercing. Is it plot relevant? No. Is it hot? Absolutely.

◾ You also get to imagine all of them in post-apocalyptic outfits and aesthetic. I will draw them one day, just give me time.

Yes, I used Andromeda leaving little Sirius as a parallelism between Sirius leaving Regulus so he had no right of being angry knowing he had done the same thing just to explore a hole new level of black brothers angst.

Oh and it's a dystopic AU... With superpowers, and revelion war going on.

After Bruce took Dick under his care, he actually stopped wasting time on any casual relationships - it seemed inconceivable when a little traumatized boy with unrestrained aggression and a desire to commit a capital murder was waiting for him at home. But after a few years, he thought, to hell with it, he deserved one night of good old fun. So he went to this gala concert in his best outfit, having previously arranged with Alfred to take Dick out for a short hike so that the mansion would be free during the night. And when he started looking for his "victim", he came across this charming reporter, all screaming Mr. Awkward with the broadest shoulders known to a man, and hands as warm as his smile, and Bruce, of course, takes him home. And everything goes great, only Dick returns earlier than Bruce expected, and enters his bedroom as usual without knocking.

Dick: hey B look i collected a whole basket of mushro— SUPERMAN??

Bruce, still half asleep, barely covering himself with a blanket: what

Dick: WHY IS THERE SUPERMAN IN YOUR BED.

Clark, without his glasses, his hair is combed back from the position of his head on the pillow: um

Bruce, already embarrassed and feeling like he'd failed as a guardian by letting Dick catch him the morning after: Dick what are you talking about, it's just some—

Bruce, turning to face Clark:

Bruce, paling:

Dick: THIS IS THE SUPERMAN YOU DICKHEAD WHAT IS HE DOING IN YOUR BED WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM—

Bruce: i... i don't know how to answer that

Dick, almost crying: DID YOU MAKE LOVE TO HIM WITHOUT TELLING ME—

Plot twist, he did this trend with Cass but everyone thought it was Tim while she had the hoodie and didn't realize it was her until the next clip because her bra's straps can see

What if after coming back from the death Jason decides to try to be a normal teen for at least once and get convinced by his goons to go out clubbing for a night.

And everything is great and he's kind of drunk when all of a sudden he sees an oddly familiar black hair in the crowd.

Wat if he's still not used to his family changing so much for the time he was gone, wat if he's still not used to consider the others as his brothers but he is trying.

What if it's angsty and also stupidly fun because he is confused but also maybe high and it's so stupid because they are not normal teenagers.

Wat if it's this short fic hu? What about that...

With more and more Ao3 authors restricting their works to the archive (due to AI scraping), they're going to be losing guest interaction. And probably generally feeling down because. You know. AI is stealing their hard work.
