Summary: Reader finds out that Azul tried to remove the last picture of his chubby merform from the Atlantic Memorial Museum, but he forgot of one picture you had all taken a long time ago.

You hummed as you brushed your hair. You use your finger to move around the smaller pieces out of your face only for it to end up sticking up.

You let out a huff as your hair wasn't cooperating. "Dumb hair..." You placed down your hairbrush as you swam to the other side of your room.

You had a makeshift vanity with the different things you had found in your younger years, never wanting to get rid of it even if there were newer and better ones out there. You looked at yourself in the mirror before deciding you looked presentable enough. You looked down at the messy vanity and let out a chuckle.

You picked up the picture frame that was placed down on your vanity and brought it close to your chest. You hugged it as you twirled around.

"Ahh...I miss them. I hope they come visit soon." You mumbled to yourself as you placed it back where it was before. The picture was of you, the leech twins, and Azul when you were only little merkids. You took one more look at it before exiting out of your home, deciding to swim around for a bit before doing your daily chores.

"Ahh! Azul!!" You called out as you eagerly swam to his octopot hideout. "Y/N...what is it this time?" He mumbled out. "Look what I got my hands on!" You excitedly showed him the camera you had in your hand. "I found a camera! Do you think it will work?" You asked as you moved it around in your hands as you examined it.

"Ah Y/N has found a camera! That's so frikin' cool." Floyd said as he came up behind you, snatching the camera away.

"Not fair Floyd!" You said as you rolled your eyes. He tossed it and Jade was quick to catch it. "This old thing seemed as if it would disintegrate any second it seems," Jade said as he gave it back to you much to Floyd's displeasure.

"It wouldn't hurt to try it? Even then the pictures from this camera come out with some sort of plastic film covering it so I think it will be fine underwater."

"Using your mer-brain huh?" Floyd snickered. "Come on give it here I want to click the button!!" He laughed as he reached for it but you shook your head. "Who said I wanted you in the picture Floyd!" You said as you stuck out your tongue. "I came to take a picture with Azul!"

"Whaa! Why Azul!" Floyd yelled out. "I already have pictures with you I have none with Azul!" You yelled back. "And who said I wanted a picture with you, Y/N?" Azul said as he kept himself in his octopot. "Oh! He got you Y/N!" Floyd began laughing hard as you just stared at the boy in embarrassment. "Well, that's one way to kill me..."

"Oh come on Y/N, why don't we all take a picture? You can even be the one to click the button." Jade suggests. You sighed in defeat as you nodded your head. "Fine, you all in?" You asked the three of them. Floyd and Jade nodded their heads as Azul only groaned in annoyance.

"I'm not taking a picture!" He yelled out only to realize that Jade and Floyd were pulling him out of his octopot. "L-let go of me!" He cried as he was forced between Jade and Floyd.

You laughed at the scene as Jade put his hand on Azul's cheeks forcing his mouth to form a smile. You quickly got next to Floyd and extended your hand in front of you. "Okay, guys smile!" Shortly after you said that you clicked the button.

A few seconds passed and you all heard the camera snap. You smiled happily as something began coming out of the camera. "Ah! I think it worked!" You laughed in contentment as you swam around eagerly as you waited for the picture to be out fully.

When it did you stared at it confused. "What's wrong Y/N?" Azul asked you as Jade and Floyd let him go. "The picture is black, it's not showing anything..."

"Huh, how strange..." Jade said with widened eyes as he came over to you. Unfortunately, Floyd swam faster and snatched it out of your hands. "What a bummer... it's making me mad! I was so excited too but turns out your camera is trash!" Floyd pouted as he looked at it though his eyes then widened and he started smiling in content.

"Woah! Now this is cool! Look the image is appearing like magic!" Floyd laughed as he shoved the picture in your face. Your eyes shined as you looked at it. "Awesome!" You snickered as you took the picture. You smiled at yourself as you could clearly see the four of you. "I love it! I'm gonna put it up in my room!"

"Please don't..." Azul said as he began to tear up from embarrassment.

You swam quite far from your home, passing by numerous colorful corals on your path. You halted for a second you looked to your left and noticed the Atlantica Memorial Museum up ahead. Something catches your eyes as you gasp. You were certain you just saw humans walking in. "Now that's something I never see around here..." You said to yourself with a chuckle. The sight of witnessing the humans trying to swim so deep in the sea made you laugh.

"How silly!" You laughed once more as you swam closer to the museum. You were certain the museum was closed but the guard seemed more than happy letting them in. "Maybe it's a special event? Oh, I want to go talk to them!" You thought to yourself.

You saw one of the humans and thought they looked oddly familiar. "That sort of looks like...Azul!" You beamed as you got closer. Fortunately for you, the guard at the front had gone in with the others so there wasn't anyone stopping you from going in.

You did your best to keep quiet though the occasional giggle would leave your lips as you saw Azul walk on human legs.

"Everyone, welcome to the Atlantic Memorial Museum. We are on a study tour today. Regardless of why we are here, I recommend you take your time and enjoy yourselves." You heard Azul speak. You then saw a little seal start talking with Azul, well at least that's what you thought it was. From the corner of your eye, you saw Jade and Floyd approach.

It took everything in you to stop yourself from giving away your hiding spot. They started moving to another part of the Museum as you continued to follow them. Azul had started telling them of how you merfolk lived underwater.

After a while, you saw the humans separate into groups and you found it a perfect opportunity to swim up to Azul to talk to him. You left your hiding spot as you swam at lightning speed towards Azul. "Aha! Azul!!!!" You cheered as you hugged him tightly, spinning yourself with him at a fast pace as he gasped.

"Y/N??" He yelled out your name. "Y-your holding me too tight-!" You let him back down with a smile. "Ahh, I'm sorry! I'm just so happy to see you! Those legs look great by the way!" You chuckled.

He looked away flustered as he pushed up his glasses. "What are you even doing here?" He asked you. "What? Not happy to see me?"

"That's not it! Just answer my question." He sighed. "Well I saw the group of humans walk in here and I wanted to talk to them but then I saw you and the twins!"

"I see, have you told the boys hello yet?" He asked to which you shook your head. "No, I wanted to see you first!" You smiled at him. He looked to the side again before looking up at you, his eyes widened in panic as he grabbed onto your shoulders and forcefully made you move to your right.

"Heyy! What gives!" Floyd whined as he swam past you. "Don't give me that crap Floyd. If I hadn't you would have taken both me and Y/N." Azul sighed in annoyance. "Floyd!!" You called out. "Oh, how wonderful!" You smiled as you noticed Jade approach as well and you said hello to him too.

"What are you guys even doing here hm?" You asked and noticed Azul instantly freeze up. "Well, our buddy Azul here was planning on destroying picture evidence of his young chubby merman self!" Floyd laughed loudly. "How embarrassing...it was the last thing remaining of this planet that anyone would see of my past self..." Azul murmured in defeat.

"Now now Azul." Jade snickered as he flashed his sharp teeth. You hummed in confusion. "Last thing on the planet...?" You mumbled. You started laughing loudly out of nowhere and Azul grew even more flustered. "How silly of you Azul!" You continued laughing.

"Silly-! Stop laughing!" He furrowed his brows. "I'm sorry but did you really think that was the last photo of you in your chubby merform?" Jade's eyes seemingly widened as you smirked to which he did as well. "Now even I had forgotten." Jade sighed.

"Remember the picture we all took together that one time, with that old camera I found? The one I said I'll put up in my room?" Azul looked shocked as you swore his soul started leaving his body.

"That picture is still in my room! On full display!"

[CHAPTER 1] Contender

Faint footsteps could be heard as you lifted your head. "Lady Y/N, there is someone here who wishes to speak with you," Virgo said as they bowed down. Their short pink hair covered their face as their right hand was placed on their chest.

You hummed in acknowledgment. "Let them in," You spoke as you rested your chin in the palm of your hand. Virgo was quick to stand up straight. Going to the doors of your throne room to open them. Opening them, Virgo moved to the side to let the person walk in. You smiled as you recognized that it was the Valkyrie from earlier.

....

"Well, then. Everyone, it's been 1000 years since the last time we gathered. Let us start the conference shall we?" Zeus said.

"Now, let me ask. In regard to the survival of mankind for the next 1,000 years. Should we forgive them? Or should we just put an end to them?" Zeus asked and two signs appeared beside him. One is a circle and another being an X symbol.

Besides where you sat, you heard someone speak. "Yep! Heeeere!" Shiva, who was sitting next to you was smiling. He was holding up two of the X signs.

"Let's just give them the doomsday already, Alright? From what I've seen these past 1,000 years, mankind doesn't seem to have any intent to repent at all. Trying to guide them is such a pain in the ass." Having said that, he looked over at you and smirked. "Once we erase them all, let's try evolving some other animal!"

Just a few feet away you saw Aphrodite nod her head. "True..." Aphrodite muttered. "It's just as Shiva-sama said, in the last 1000 years the earth has become too ugly." You were certain you could hear the inner disgust in her voice.

"Seas are filled with waste and oil, forests are disappearing and living beings have become extinct one after another. So to speak...Humans are the most dangerous living cancer on earth. A disaster that will bring the earth to its end. Isn't that right?"

At her words, multiple of the other gods present had begun to agree with her. "Aphrodite is right!"

"Mankind is awful and will bring only despair." As even more gods began to speak their minds, Shiva turned to you and spoke. "Tell me, Y/N, you also think we should end them right?" He lazily smiled.

Looking at him, you smiled. Putting a finger up to your lips as if you were shushing him, you chuckled dryly. "Just wait Shiva, I'm sure the humans will not be ones to give up without a fight."

Zeus cleared his throat, gaining the attention of those around him. "I guess we have come to an agreement!" Zeus said, raising his gavel. "Then, the end of mankind is decided-!" Just before he slammed his gavel down, someone interrupted him.

"Please wait for a second!" Near the higher seats, you spotted a Valkyrie standing boldly and another who seemed scared.

"Huh?" Zeus mumbled. "A Valkyrie...? That's a Valkyrie right?" Someone asked. "What's up with her?" Another questioned as murmurs began to rise. "Parden my intrusion Gods, there is one thing I must say." The Valkyrie spoke loudly.

"Sister! Y-you can't s-speak to the Gods like that!" The smaller girl beside her said while trembling as she hurried to shush her sister.

"Mind your business, Brunhilde!" The crows that sit on Odin's shoulders yelled at her. "You imbecile half God! How dare you open your filthy mouth in the conference of the Gods!"

Brunhilde didn't seem fazed by their words. "It is true that mankind is unbelievably vulgar and violent. But to destroy them like that...Isn't that a bit...boring?" She shrugged. "Whether the survival of mankind has any value or not. With the mighty mercy of the Gods, why don't we test them?"

"Test them?! How, do you wish to flood them?!" Huginn asked Brunhilde as he continued to yell. "Or do you think we should send them into an ice age?"

Brundilde turned her head left to right in disagreement. "No, but I have the most effective way to test them.""Oh?" Zeus hummed. "What is it!? Say it now you imbecile!" Huggin yelled as he grew impatient. "Say it now!"

"Gods vs. Mankind's final struggle, Ragnarok!" Brunhilde spoke loudly as she held a book in her hands. "Valhalla constitution, article 62." She said while flipping through a book. "It is explained in paragraph 15 of the super special clause. 1 vs. 1 showdown, between both Gods and Mankind."

"It seems you Valkyrie really don't understand! Mankind vs. Gods? They simply don't stand a chance against us!" Huginn said. "They simply stand no chance!" Both crows yelled out in unison.

At the crow's words, the other gods present began to agree with them. "That's right!" They all yelled out. "It would be child's play!"The gods roared. "I don't even remember such a law."

Brundilde looked displeased, "So the will of the Gods is to destroy mankind and also....to avoid complete conflict?" Brunhilde said, mockery laced in her words. "Heh?!" Huginn glared.

"We want to destroy mankind without fighting them. We don't want to be put in the same ring as them. That's I'll I'm hearing, hmm don't tell me....." She stopped for a second. "You're chickening out?" Her voice echoed. "If so, I'm terribly sorry for interrupting you. Please forgive me. Well anyway go ahead don't listen to me. Let's just forget all about the Ragnarok stuff."

Soon laughter could be heard from all directions, but after that laughter, anger was clearly present. "How dare you!" The Gods yelled out in anger, throwing poisonous words at her. "Do you know what you just did you damn half-breed!"

"Are you making fun of us you bastard!!?"You simply stared at the girl with amazement in your eyes. "How bold!" You gushed as you smiled in her direction.

"Hohoho..." Zeus chuckled. "Ragnarok, quite an interesting proposal. Well said! Though, your proposal it's such a fucking unit! Besides don't you think it's been a long time since we have seen the might of the Gods!!"

"Everyone! What do you think? Should we hold a showdown between God and Mankind!?" He laughed. "Here!" Saying that he slammed his gavel down.

"Lady Y/N, thank you for allowing me to speak with you." Brunhilde bowed down in front of you. Motioning over to her to stand up, she soon stood confidently. "It's my pleasure dear, so why are you here?" You chuckled.

Placing a hand near her heart she looked up at you with determination. "I'm here to ask you, will you fight in Ragnarok?" You tilted your head in confusion, a quiet humm leaving your lips. "Hm? But I'm a God, why would you want me to fight against your cause?"

Brunhilde smirked. "You would fight....in your human form. Your soul, fell to earth correct? You were once a human, so according to the rules, you'll be able to participate for mankind. I've seen your skills as a human, I have no doubt you'll win!" Her smirked widened.

"Yes, I suppose that's true..." You mumbled, sighing you continued. "You are a very smart woman Brunhilde! Of course, such a bold request as yours can't be turned down. I accept! I'll be more than happy to battle in Ragnarok."

[CHAPTER 2] Ragnarok Begins!

The first round of Ragnarok had begun. You had decided to stay in your estate and watch the round on your TV. Footsteps could be heard from outside the doors of your room and knocking was heard soon after.

"Come in!" You said loudly. Opening the door you saw Virgo. They quickly rushed up to you and stood beside you. "My lady! The official roster for the candidates who will participate in Ragnarok is out!" They said, handing you an electronic device showing various names.

"It seems that you and young master Ruiru will be participating!" They spoke with enthusiasm. Handing the device back to them you kept watching the TV in front of you.

"It's alright Virgo. I have no need to see it. I would rather be surprised when the contenders come up to fight. I want to see it myself."

Their mouth formed an "o" shape and they looked down in shame. "Ah I see, I apologize then. I'm sorry I spoiled part of it for you..."

Glancing at Virgo you smiled as your eyes met. "No need to apologize, you were only excited to show the news that your very own master was going to show off her skills. I'm very much grateful for that!"

Noticing how their eyes teared up you quickly stood up from your seat. "Uh! D-don't cry! Did I say something weird!?" Freaking out you began to apologize. Virgo sniffled as they stood up straight, their hands behind their back.

"My lady, I'm so happy I'm able to work for you. I promise to do my very best!" Virgo said as they grabbed your hands. You were surprised for a second before smiling at them. "I'm glad," You told them as you gave their hand a firm squeeze.

At that moment you swore some arrow shot through Virgo's heart as their face began to flush. Excusing themselves, Virgo quickly left the room. "Huh-" Looking at the door they left through you just laughed. Sitting back down you continued to watch how Thor had a wonderful smirk on his face as he fought with Lu Bu.

A few minutes passed until you began to process the information Virgo had told you. "Ryubu's name was also on the list. I really do hope we don't end up fighting each other." You sighed. "I wonder how he is, I haven't seen him or Raijin in a very long time. I wish the best for them."

You frowned as you thought about them. "I wonder if they have changed at all..."

Focusing on the TV it seemed that the battle had come to an end. "The first battle of Ragnarok, between the God Thor and Lu Bu...has come to a close, with Thor as its victor...! Humanity has taken its first steps into extinction!!" Heimdall announcedStanding up you decided to make your way to the Arena to go see Thor.

"Heaven's door," You called out. A small portal opened up in front of you, passing by it you were immediately at the doors of the arena. Watching a nurse run by you quickly stopped her. "Excuse me but do you know where Thor currently is?"

The nurse looked at you, her eyes quick to widen as she recognized you. "Ah, Lady Y/N! Yes, I do know please follow me I'll lead you to it!" She smiled, her cheeks blushing a faint pink. She quickly walked in the direction of Thor's room. Passing a few halls she stopped at one of the doors.

"Here we are, Lady Y/N! I am very happy to have had the chance to be around you today!" She said as she bowed down to show her respect.

"Oh please you're going to make me blush!" You said as you also bowed down slightly. Standing up straight she told you goodbye as she quickly left in the direction you both came from in a hurry.

Opening the door to his room you saw him sitting on a chair, his eyes focused on the screen in front of him awaiting for the second round to start. Hearing the door open, Thor snapped his eyes over in your direction. "Y/N, have you never learned to knock?" He asked.

"Wow! Ironic you're saying I should knock!" You laughed. You heard him mumble something under his breath. "Excuse me? I don't think I heard you." You asked almost mockingly.

Sighing Thor spoke. "Sorry..." He said looking anywhere but your eyes. It seemed he was still beating himself up about your first meeting.

"That's better! Anyways I'm just here to ask if you're alright."

He hummed as he motioned over to you to get closer with his hands. "Did you really come all this way just to ask me that?"

"Yep!" You said clapping your hands together. "Can't you just use that ability of yours? You could have just seen into the future. You probably already knew the outcome of my match." He said.

You laughed and let out a sigh. "I suppose I could but, I made a promise to myself not to. Knowing what is bound to happen is...no fun!" You admitted as you shrugged. "I haven't seen anything future-related since Brunhilde came to speak with me."

Saying that Thor looked puzzled. "That Valkyrie came to speak with you? Why?" He asked to which you nodded.

"I will be fighting in Ragnarok, for the future of mankind." His eyes widened slightly but quickly regained their cold look.

"Can't say I'm surprised....." Thor muttered. "Y/N, wouldn't that mean you are a traitor to the Gods? What will happen to you if others find out?"

"Well, I guess....I'll just have to kill them before they kill me!" You smirked. "Are you going to try to kill me?" You asked, your eyes lighting up as your smirk widened. He stared at you for a moment before chuckling.

"Why would I kill the only God I have...that is worthy of fighting me." He said as he let out a quiet chuckle. "Though I am confused. If you fighting in Ragnarok, why wasn't your name on the list of contenders?"

"Well...as rules say, it will be a showdown between mankind and god. I simply can't break the rules! I'll be fighting as a human."

"A human?"

"Yes! Once upon a time, Dear old Y/N lost her soul! Her soul fell to earth and found itself within a human child. That child was given a chance to follow their own path, one without assistance from any god." You said as if telling a children's book.

Thor froze as you told him the small story. "When did that happen?" He thought but didn't say anything about it.

"My name given by the love of mankind is Hoshiko Hanae."

"Ah...I see. Hoshiko Hanae, I remember seeing that name on the list of fighters. Though, are you really sure you will win? I fear that you will be far weaker as a human as you are a God." He spoke with genuine concern.

"Just because I will be "weaker" than I am now, does not mean I'll be weaker than my opponent. I trained my ass off from what I remember. I hold no fear of losing, I will win." You smiled. "Oh, and you won't tell anyone about what we just talked about right? I'm kinda hoping everyone finds out when the moment happens."

"Of course, though why did you tell me? You didn't gain anything from it."

"Huh? Well, I don't need to gain anything. I just trust you, talking to you makes me happy. Do I really need a reason?" You said as your smile didn't falter. His mouth opened slightly and having found no words to say he looked down.

A smirk appeared on his face. "Do you maybe want to stay here and watch the next battle?" He asked still staring down. Feeling a presence next to him he looked up and was met by your smile.

"Sure!"

This is my twst oc! They're not necessarily based of anyone or anything in the Disney franchise. I had thought of the story of the swan princess tho. I actually have no name for them so if you have ideas feel free to comment them!

Saying Idia was nervous was an understatement. He felt like he would melt onto the ground as each second passed. It was embarrassing enough just sitting awkwardly on a bench at a public park.

"So many people..." He thought as his foot anxiously tapped repeatedly on the ground. He was waiting for you in fact, so he decided to bear the nervousness and wait for you to get there.

This would be the first time you two would be meeting in person. Having met in an online game and becoming friends. You were so cute in the photos you would send him, he only hoped you were the cute person in the photos and not some catfisher.

"Now that would just be horrible..." He let out a shaky sigh as he pulled out his phone. Checking his messages to see that you texted him. "I just got here!" The message read.

Idia shrieked as he got up from the bench. Dusting off his clothes and telling himself not to act too weird. "Idia!" He heard someone call out to him. He stared at your figure coming closer to him as he looked at you in awe.

"Score! They're a total babe! Ez 10/10." Idia flashed his sharp teeth as he smiled at you. A sudden wave of confidence overcame him as he waved at you. "Y/N, I'm glad you could come."

"Mhm! Sorry for keeping you waiting." You told him as you linked your arm to his. Okay, that sudden confidence was gone. "Woah Idia! I didn't know your hair could do that!" You laughed as you smiled at his now pink hair.

You and Idia arrived at your desired location. When Idia found out you lived around the area he couldn't contain his excitement. Better yet the yearly fair was visiting so he immediately decided to invite you to go with him.

As you went up to the ticket booth Idia had bought your tickets. You thanked him as you promised to treat him to whatever foods he wanted to try. "Woah! Look Idia!" You told him as you pointed at one of the rollercoasters. "We should try that one!"

Idia looked at the ride you wanted to go on and gulped. "That one has a lot of swirls..."

"I know! Hahaha! Come on let's go line up!" As you lined up you both soon arrived at the front. After giving the necessary tickets to the person supervising the ride you both went to sit down.

Buckling up and lowering the bar you secure yourself in place. You laughed once more at Idia's scared expression. "Oh come on Idia it won't be that bad." The ride soon started as your cart began going up on the rails before dropping abruptly.

Idia screamed as he held onto the bar for dear life. Idia's eyes landed on your form. His screams of terror stopped as he sweat-dropped. You yourself were holding onto the bar with a serious grip. Your eyes closed as you shrieked.

After the ride, you and Idia agreed to not go on any more roller coasters. For your next ride, you decided to keep it simple and go on the teacup ride. When it began Idia was delighted when he found out you could spin the cup.

He had begun spinning the plate to make the cup rotate as you screamed at him to slow down. "W-Wait Idia-!" You gasped as you clutched onto your seat so you would not fall off.

As it ended Idia stumbled around. "I shouldn't have done that..." He said as he put a hand over his mouth.

You on the other hand laughed it off and began dragging him to a food stall. "So many options...what about the churros? That sounds delicious." Idia perked up at this. "Ah yes! I've seen videos of people getting them here they look yummy."

You nodded your head. As you looked around the park you saw a lonely bench and made Idia sit down. "You wait here alright? I'll go buy them."

"Are you sure you want to go alone?"

"Yeah I'll be fine, you just try to stop your head from spinning." Chuckling you made your way to the line. As Idia sat patiently his heart dropped when he heard a familiar voice. "Ah, Idia! How are you."

Idia had a terrified expression as he saw the main four. "Eek! What are you guys doing here!?"

Staring at the bodies in front of you, you couldn't move. How could you? Your breathing became irregular as you began to cry. Falling to your knees you sobbed their names out, apologizing for what you had done.

Kalego, Shichiro, and Opera. Their names left your mouth as you screamed out apology after apology. How could you!?? Your eyes stayed lingering on Opera, your heart felt like it had cracked into billions of pieces.

You didn't remember what had happened, you only really remember coming into the woods for your daily beast slaying. Did they somehow fall victim to your attacks? They had to, their bodies were all cut up in various ways. Your weapon was thrown a few feet beside you.

But why couldn't you remember? It's not like you normally blacked out. Was this maybe the beast doing? Maybe you were hit with an attack that made your memory fuzzy.

You heard a quiet chirp. Staring ahead you found that Kalego was never really Kalego. It was some type of Netherland beast. Standing up you made your way to it. It has reverted back to its original form as it cried out in misery.

Your eyes were empty and cold as you stood over it. Now that you calmed down slightly you noticed how the blood around you was not red, it was a purple-ish one. Your mind raced back to something you were learning back in Babyls.

Looking over the creature carefully you determined it was a type of bird species. While this certain species, the male birds were able to shape-shift while the female birds sprayed sometype of magic.

Rage filled you, how could you be so stupid? It was never real, you never really killed them. It was just a dumb trick, the damn bird had gotten the best of you.

Even though it was all in your head, you couldn't stop yourself from mumbling out apologies. Ghosting your foot over the bird's neck, you cried harder. Stomping your foot on it repeatedly your apologies were muffled put by the bird's own cries.

After a while it stopped but you continued, trying to get your sadness out. When you finally stopped you went to pick up your weapon. Using your bloodline magic you made it disappear into thin air. It was the weekend so the only place you had to go was home.

Your legs just started to move on their own as your blood-soaked clothes just stuck to your skin. Finally, you had made it home, it was deadly silent.

Making your way to homeroom your hands began to shake slightly as you swallowed a lump in your throat. You shared homeroom with Opera. Currently, as you were walking to your class, your eyes were still glued to the ground and you wanted to cry.

Seeing all these "dead" people was unbearable. In truth, if you got close enough you heard them talking as if they were still alive. That was the only thing keeping your sanity together. You knew it was all in your head, a trick, but for some reason, you thought it was your fault.

As you opened the door to your homeroom class you quickly made your way to your seat. After a few minutes, homeroom had begun. Your teacher began to call names for attendance. Your name was called out once, then twice.

You felt a tap on your shoulder, turning your head slightly you heard the body of the girl next to you speak.

After a while, you saw how the bodies began to crawl towards the classroom door. Getting up you began to leave. Only for you to be slightly held down. Meeting eyes with Opera you were still looking down. Finally looking at their dead eyes you began to cry again, apology after apology you sobbed.

"Why are you crying?" They spoke in disbelief. You were always a happy person, nothing really ever got the best of you. "Why won't you talk to me? Did I say something you didn't like? I'm sorry if I did."

Hearing Opera apologize to you made you ball your fists. "No, it's my fault you shouldn't apologise." You sobbed. "Please stop looking at me like that! I already said I'm sorry!" You screamed. Your voice echoes in the empty classroom.

Opera furrowed their brows. Was their concerned gaze upsetting you? But they did notice how not once you had looked at them dead in the eyes. They were confused.

Saying one last sorry you shoved past them and made your way to the door leaving Opera speechless. As you closed the door you began to head to your first class of the day. Luckily it was not far so you would still be able to make it in time.

"Y/N!"

You recognized that voice, clear as day. "Shichiro!" You yelled out happily. He had embraced you in a tight hug. Though when you saw him, his eyes were also cold and empty. "Oh" was all you could think. Your smile turned into a thin line making Shichiro send you a questionable look.

"Ugh let go of her you big animal." Kalego huffed. "Come on Y/N let's walk to class together." He said as he continued to walk. He didn't look back to see if you were following him.

Placing your hands over your ears you stopped thinking for a second. You took deep breaths as you tried to calm yourself down. "I'm sorry I'm not feeling well."

The duo of Turks were able to contact you when they brought Tifa and Cloud back safely. You were never really home anymore, just like Cloud.

You hated it really, Tifa would sometimes call you handing the phone over to Denzel as he would cry to you that it was his fault that the both of you were always away.

In truth, you were in the same boat as Cloud. When you had arrived at the bar you checked on them for any injuries and found out that Cloud had also contracted the disease you were so hopelessly looking to end.

Your head rested on the bar top as you used your arms to cover your face. Not wanting to deal with Reno next to you on your left. Even after so long you still couldn't face him.

Back in that piller where Jessie had lost her life you had encountered and fought Reno and Rude with the help of the others. Reno had told you to come back to him and to join and be part of Shinra again. Your life when you were a Turk was something you weren't proud of. "Join me, we'll be able to be together again. Wouldn't you like that?" He had asked you. "I thought we were friends."

Friends

You remember looking back at Cloud, Tifa, and Barret as if you were really considering betraying them. You had turned again to look at Reno. A disgusted expression on your face.

"Friends? You're nothing to me." You told him as you held your weapon tight in your hand. "It was you who betrayed me. You, the other Turks, and that damn bastard Rufus. Even if you were something, my family always comes first!"

You always frowned at the memory. The way his face morphed into sadness always broke your heart. You were so angry back then. So angry that when you stood in front of Jessie's unmoving body you didn't cry.

You were angry at Shinra, angry at yourself. When Jessie told you it was her fault that she was dying only to later find out it really wasn't you could only hold back your tears of frustration.

You heard him get up his footsteps moving to where the drinks were. "Reno..." Your voice came out muffled as you let out a sigh. He halted his movements and you heard him chuckle. "What? I promise to pay for it! I'm just gonna serve myself!" He said as he continued on.

You only let out a grumble as you didn't stop him. "You want one too?" He asked as he had finished pouring himself a glass. "No," You told him simply. He hummed as he came back to sit next to you again.

There was silence for a bit. There was an uncertainty in your chest. Your mouth daring to speak to him more. You swore he was staring holes at you. Small beads of sweat formed on your forehead as you slowly sat up properly on your seat. From the corner of your eye, you saw him quickly turn his head forward as if he wasn't even looking at you.

Your lips quivered as your foot tapped anxiously on the floor. "Hey, are you alright?" Reno asked as he hesitantly brought up his hand and rested it on your shoulder.

Your eyes landed on his as you nodded your head. You brought up your left hand to get a hold of his. You moved in your seat to face him. His hand was still in yours as you brought them to rest on your lap.

"Reno..." You mumbled as you diverted your eyes away from him. He gulped as he waited for you to continue. "I just wanted to-" The door to the bar opened.

Reno cursed under his breath as you quickly took your hands away from his. Turning to sit correctly in your chair you let out a shaky sigh. "Come on you two." Rude said as he walked to the stairs. "They must be awake by now."

You nodded your head. "Alright..." You quickly walked passed Rude and walked up the stairs. Heading towards Denzel's and Marlene's room. Reno still in his seat grumbled and glared at Rude.

"What?" Rude said as he stared at him in confusion. Reno rolled his eyes as he also walked up the stairs but not before pushing Rude in annoyance. "Maybe next time." He whispered to himself.

He hoped that maybe the next time it was just you two, you might tell him that he is finally someone that you consider to be family.

Lied jumped into the kitchen and saw his sister taking something out of the oven. "What are you making?" He asked her. Shakky rolled her eyes as she placed a pan of pastries to cool on the counter. "Nothing for you that's what."

Lied sneaked over to get a closer look and maybe even steal one. Shakky had her back turned to him as she began to wash a few dishes.

The boy reached his hand and almost picked one of the pastries up when his sister's hand gripped his wrist. "Ahh!" He yelled as he became startled. "I told you it's not for you!" She yelled at him. Lied yanked his arm free from her hold. "Okay! Jeez, I just wanted one..."

Shakky shook her head. "Well, you can't have any you hear?!"

Lied nodded his head in annoyance. "Why are you so mean...most of the time you let me get some."

"Yeah, most of the time. Look I'm having someone over so you better stay in your room and not bother us!"

Lied sighed dramatically. "Another boy? I'm sure he'll just run out the door when he finds out how crazy you are."

Shakky smirked at his words. "Y/N already knows how crazy I am!" She laughed. Lied paused his eyebrow rising. "Y/N? That's a girl's name. Lame you can't get a boyfriend so you resort to your friends so you won't be lonely."

Shakky narrowed her eyes at him and he gulped. "What was that you brat?"

"Nothing! Nothing!" He said as he waved his hands in front of his face. "Just nice that your friends care about you."

"Yeah...Y/N really does care...!" Shakky squealed her cheeks turning a bright shade of red. Lied scrunched up his nose at his sister before he left to play some games in his room.

Around 20 minutes had passed when he heard a knock on the door. "Shakky! Someone is knocking!" He yelled out as he continued to press buttons aggressively on his controller. Skakky didn't respond and he heard a knock again. Lied groaned as he paused his game. Getting up he went up to the door and opened it.

"Woah..." He mumbled.

"Hi!! I'm Y/N, this is where Shakky lives right?" You smiled at the boy in front of you. Lied froze for a moment before nodding his head. "Yeah, she told me about you coming by." He stepped off to the side to let you in.

You stepped inside, thanking him for letting you in as you did so. "Ah! You're so cute! You look so much like your sister." You complimented him as he guided you to the living room. "Oh, you think so?!" Lied blushed. He motioned over to the couch and you sat down.

He offered you something to drink but you declined. "Where's Shakky? I'm sorry I came a bit earlier than she told me." You apologized as Lied sat next to you. "Oh, I'm sure it's fine! Pretty sure she's just in the restroom." He smiled. He opened his mouth to speak again but Shakky came running in.

"Y/N! Sweetheart!" She called out to you in delight. You shot up from your seat a beaming smile on your face.

"Shakky! My love!"

Lied saw you run up to her and his face went blank. You two hugged before-

Lied's jaw fell to the floor. "I missed you love, thank you for having me over." You smiled as you cupped her cheek. "Of course, you know you're always welcome."

The two of you seemed to have forgotten about the younger Shax as Shakky took your hand in hers and took you to the kitchen. "I made some of your favorite desserts!" She said excitingly as she clung to your side.

On the couch Lied was still shocked. "That hot babe is Shakky's actual girlfriend!?"

He closed his eyes his hands pulling on stands of his hair. "Not fair!"

The school campus was certainly hectic at times. Especially with all the students. Though at times it was peaceful. Such as this night.

You walked alongside Malleus. He was going on and on about some of the new gargoyles he had been studying about. Others might have found it boring but you could never think in such a way.

Accompanying him on these walks was the one thing you looked forward to all day, even on the coldest nights or in the hottest. He was captivating in every way possible. You simply couldn't look away from him. As he spoke to you and only you, you couldn't stop but feel content.

"So what do you think?" He asked with a small smile on his face. "Did you find any of them interesting?"

"Yes, the ones from the thorn fairies castle have so much history to them don't you think?" You both stopped in your tracks. Standing in main street where the great seven stood.

Looking down towards the pathway you spoke, "The way you describe them, they all sound beautiful." You confessed in honesty.

Malleus looked up at the night sky, the smile on his face growing bigger. "There are many beautiful things in this world." He said as he continued to stare into the sky. His eyes focused on the moon.

It was a very lovely sight. The way the moonlight shined on his skin. You took note of it all. Your lips parted as you didn't stop the words from leaving your lips. "You're right Malleus." You whispered. "It's all around us I would say."

"You're right, beauty is all around us." He said. "Beautiful indeed..."

You built up the courage to look at him once more. You swore he was staring at you, though at the same time, you weren't certain. Your eyes lingered on him for only a second before tearing your eyes away from him.

You sighed quietly. You then looked up at the moon. It was beautiful, as he had said. You smiled softly as you took in the scenery in front of you. Twisted Wonderland truly held a special place in your heart.

You were so engulfed in looking at what was in front of you that you failed to notice the lingering eyes beside you. Beside you, Malleus chuckled quietly. So quiet that your ears failed to hear it.

Malleus's head was filled with everything and anything about you. The whole time, no every time he is with you he has to deeply focus on the task presented. If he doesn't he would easily get distracted.

While your eyes were on the moon, his eyes were on you.

Najma smiled at Jamil as she began getting dragged by her friend so they could have fun together. "Alright, I'll see you later Jamil." She told him as she began to leave. She also looked over at the other Night Ravel students and told them goodbye.

She paused in her steps for a second before turning abruptly. "Oh and make sure to visit Y/N. I'm sure you are dying to have a chance to go talk to them!" She snickered as she winked at him before she and her friend went running as they laughed. He looked to the side embarrassed as he murmured a quiet okay.

He let out a sigh and jolted as he felt a hand go on his shoulder. "So Jamil! Caycay is picking up that you have someone here in the scolding sands that you haven't told us about!"

Jamil grimaced as he looked at Cater. "Oh please Viper, now I am intrigued as well," Malleus smirked as he placed his hands on his hips. Yuu jumped up, "Oh! is it perhaps a special someone?" They smiled.

"Well for starters it's no one important... let's just keep going with the tour." He sweated as he walked in front of them hoping they would drop the conversation.

He closed his eyes for a second though a chill soon ran through his spine as he saw Grim talking to someone a few food stalls ahead.

"Mhyaa!! I want another one!" Grim said as the person in front of him gave him another piece of dried-up fruit. "You're just so cute!" You laughed as you kept feeding Grim's black hole of a stomach.

The others saw the scene going on as their eyes drifted to Jamil. "Is it just me or is that Jamil's special someone? What crazy luck we have have!!" Carter giggled.

"By the way Jamil's blushing I think it is!" Yuu laughed alongside Cater. "Oh please just be quiet..." Jamil murmured out. You began handing Grim more dried fruit as you looked past the tiny mage and your eyes lit up. "Jamil!!" You called out as you waved at him.

"Would you look at that? They seem very happy to see you, Jamil." Trey teased. Malleus patted Jamil's shoulders. "It's disrespectful to keep them waiting." He smiled as he walked past him, the others doing the same so they could go find out more about his special someone.

Jamil sighed as he fixed his posture before he started walking to catch up with his friends. You were already talking to all of Jamil's friends, introducing yourself to them. Jamil finally got in reach and you smiled widely.

Between you and him was your fruit stall, a number of different types of fruits placed nicely on the table. As you smiled your body bent over the table slightly, your arms extended as you quickly clung to his body.

You gave him a big hug and he began to stutter. The table moved a bit as a few pieces of fruit fell. To which Grim greedily picked up and ate. "Oh, Jamil! I'm so glad I got a chance to see you!" You beamed as you let him go, your hands sliding down his arm and finally you took his hands in yours.

Cater, Malleus, Trey, and Yuu watched in surprise at your interaction. Trey looked away feeling as if he were interrupting something. On the other hand, Cater and Yuu had small blushes on their face. Almost letting out a squeal as they looked between the both of you.

Malleus just stood there in silence as his mouth fell open.

"I missed you so very much..." Jamil whispered as he tightened his grip on your hands. You nodded your head. "So did I." You smiled as you slowly let go of his hands. You then turned to Jamil's classmates who had then told you more about themselves. The whole time Jamil just looked at you and only you.

He loved watching you talk and it made him happy that his friends were making you feel comfortable enough so you could converse with people you don't know. "Ah, I see so you're also in the same club as Kalim! I hope he isn't too much trouble." You laughed as they told you about their own school life.

Jamil snapped out of his daze when you mentioned Kalim. "We're losing track of time!" He freaked out as he realized they had been too caught up in talking with you.

"I'm sorry didn't mean to hold you guys back." You smiled as you waved your hands out in front of you apologetically. Yuu shook their head. "Nonsense Y/N!"

"Yeah, I don't see the harm being a few minutes behind," Trey said. Jamil let out a sigh. "We should get moving though. We're supposed to be meeting up with Kalim in a bit."

You nodded your head. "Well, I hope to catch you guys for the fireworks at least." They all nodded their heads, looking forward to you joining them later in the day.

They began turning around to leave but you told Jamil to hold on a second. "Well?" You asked him with a grin. "Well, what?" He mumbled. You looked surprised for a second before he laughed. He leaned in and gave you a kiss.

"I'll see you later." He whispered out. Once you separated you told him to extend his hand. He did and you gave him a little clear bag tied with a ribbon. Inside were different types of dried fruits.

"Make sure you give them to the little mage." You chuckled.

Rain poured down from the thundering sky. You, Grim, and the two heartslabyul freshmen ran to the ramshackle dorm. "Myah! Henchman hurry up!" Grim growled in your arms. You were currently carrying him, shielding him as best you could from the rain. Beside you, Ace scowled. "Shut it Grim! Or I'll make the prefect put you down!"

At Ace's words, Grim shut up only letting a few grumbles leave his mouth. Finally arriving at the dorm's porch, Deuce was quick to open the door. You all hurried inside. "Augh finally out of the rain." Ace cheered. You nodded your head putting Grim down on the floor. "You boys stay here I'll go get towels for you to dry off."

Heading to your bathroom you reached for the towels you would need and quickly headed back to the lounge. You saw them taking off their coats and placing them messily on the floor. Handing them the towels you took the liberty of drying grim off before doing so yourself.

After you were all dry you all sat in the lounge. A sigh left Ace's lips as he pouted. "Great now we're stuck here..." Grim simply rolled his eyes. "You saying you rather be outside in the rain? Be my guest!" Grim said sticking out his tongue.

"Calm down you two." You groaned in annoyance, Deuce nodding his head. "Do calm down, I'm sure Y/N wouldn't care to throw both of you out if you kept being annoying." Deuce grinned.

"You wouldn't do that right Y/N..?" Ace mumbled as he slowly turned to you. Chuckling you hummed. "Who knows? Keep it up and I just might have to." Ace shivered at your words, deep down knowing you could if you really wanted to.

Thunderstruck as all of you talked in the lounge. Grim in your lap as you both shared a blanket. You and Grim had your backs turned to the window, sitting on the carpet resting your hands on the table in front of you.

Deuce and Ace shared another blanket as they sat on the couch. You all took turns telling scary stories. "Okay okay, have you heard about the ghost that haunts diasomnia?" Ace whispered to which Grim let out an annoyed grumble. "Please ghost stories? I thought you could do better than that. Me and Y/N literally live with them!"

"Hear me out, have you guys even been to their dorm?" Ace asked, you all shook your head from left to right. "Well, they say that when you first get sorted into diasomnia you always have trouble sleeping the first night..."

"Why is that?" Deuce spoke his voice quiet as he clung to the warmth the blanket gave him. "Well, there is a mysterious figure that watches them from the windows. Watching their every step to ensure they're fit to join diasomnia. And well you know how diasomnia is, it's so creepy and dark."

Thunderstruck once more as Grim jumped slightly in your lap. Grinning you spoke, "So do you think this ghost might terrorize other dorms?" You asked. "Eeek! Don't even say such a thing!" Grim scolded you as he clung to you. Ace laughed creepily as he nodded slowly. "I'm sure Y/N! I remember you saying that you would sometimes wake up to see stuff in your mirror right?"

You nodded and Deuce sat up straight. "You don't think it has something to do with the diasomnia ghost do you..?" Ace raised a brow, a teasing smirk on his face. "Is Deucey scared?" Deuce furrowed his brows. "Am not!" He said angrily. "Anyway, they say the creature appears upside down, almost like a bat. Just like tonight, thunder strikes causing a very small light to shine on the creature."

When Ace said that, your mind drifted. "Upside down like a bat..." You hummed. "Ah, that reminds me of that vice house warden..." You mumbled. Grim's ears perked up. "What vice house warden?" He asked.

"I'm not sure you remember but I first encountered them when we came back to the dorm after the whole scarabia showdown. They appeared out of nowhere, floating upside down. I believe their name was Lilia." Deuce let out a hum "Oh that is the name for diasomnia's vice house warden right?" Your memory came back to you as you eagerly nodded your head. "Yeah, that's it! Actually, I wanted to ask if-" An exceptionally loud thunderbolt halted your words.

Deuce's eyes widened as he nudged Ace. "D-did you see that?" He asked with his eyes going wide. "See what Deuce?" You asked him. You saw him nervously gulp. "On the window! I saw something floating around and I'm already telling you it was no bird or animal!" Grim crossed his paws, an annoyed look on his face. "Did the story really mess you up that bad?"

"No! I swear I saw someone! Did you see it, Ace?" Deuce asked. "No, I didn't stop messing around Deuce," Ace grumbled. "I promise I am not-"

BANG

Grim shrieked at the sound. "What was that?!" He yelled out, his claws going into your skin. Wincing you scolded him. "Stop it Grim! And Deuce it was probably nothing how about we all just calm down?" You saw something from the corner of your eye. Leaning your body back slightly you notice the previously closed door to the lounge is now open.

"Wasn't the door closed?" You asked as you got up from your spot on the carpet. Carrying Grim in your hands you left the blanket on the floor. "Oh please Y/N not you too. I swear it's probably nothing like you said." Ace rolled his eyes.

Getting closer to the door Grim clung to you tightly. "Why are you investigating it!? Haven't you seen the movies?" You stood in front of the open doors, looking to your right you quickly glanced up the stairs. Noticing nothing you walked through the hallway that led to the front door of the lounge.

"Y/N wait up! Don't leave me behind!" Deuce hurried up and began walking next to you. Ace also coming to walk with the three of you. "Look! The front door is open." Grim shrieked. Giving Grim to Ace you slowly walked up to the door and opened it fully. "Weird...there is no one here." You quietly said.

Deuce let out a sigh of relief. Turning your body to walk back to the lounge you came face to face with someone. "Hey there!" You heard the voice in front of you speak. "Ahh!" You all screamed as you put a hand on your racing heart. Floating upside down was the dripping wet house warden. "You did it again!" You yelled as you calmed down.

You heard Lilia laugh as he floated down landing feet first onto the wooden floor. "Mind if I stay here to dry?" He asked you, an innocent smile on his face. "Sure you're more than welcome too." You smiled at him as you began to look him up and down. "They really do look like a girl...but that voice says different." You thought with a sigh. "Well, it's useless to think about it."

"I'll get you a dry towel." You told him before turning to the boys who looked kinda of nervous. "Mind taking Lilia to the lounge? I'll be right back."

Lilia was now dry and you were both enjoying some late-night snacks. The rain hadn't given up as you smiled at seeing the sleeping figures of Ace and Deuce sleeping comfortably on the couch. Grim had already retired to your shared room as it was just you and the fae talking quietly while eating your snacks.

"Didn't you teleport last time we met? I'm sure you could have made your way to the mirror chamber just fine." You raised your brow in suspicion. Lilia chuckled and slowly nodded his head. "I suppose I could but I just happened to see you all having so much fun, I wanted to join in too."

"Ah, so Deuce wasn't going crazy..." Giggling quietly you looked at Lilia from the corner of your eye. Your eyes wandered around his figure almost as if you were analyzing him. His eyes met yours, catching your attention.

"Hm? What is this? What is it that you hope to do by undressing me with your eyes?" He said, sending you a teasing smirk. You blushed in embarrassment, "I'm sorry it's just that you look so much like a girl. You're very pretty you know?"

Lilia's eyes widened for a second before closing, the teasing smirk finding its place on his lips once more. "I suppose I am huh? Well, it's all just part of my innocent look." He stopped talking for a second before he turned his body fully to you. "Would you like to find out for yourself?" He asked. You tilted your head in confusion. "What do you mean?

Lilia reached for your hand, an innocent smile on his face. You saw him slowly bring your hand up placing it on his chest. His palm was on the back of your hand as he moved it around in a circular motion. You gasped in shock but didn't dare move away.

You heard Lilia let out a pleased hum. "So?" He asked as he let you pull your hand back onto your lap. You stared at him, no words leaving your lips. You're face turning redder than a tomato.

He just sent you a cocky grin as he watched steam blow out from your ears.
