lil boy would not sit still and he was tender-headed pick a struggle; at this point it was either get popped by you or suffer the pain from his scalp…he chose the latter

mans almost fell asleep while you was shampooing his hair and when you put the hot oil treatment on his scalp- slumber  

after everything, you twisted his hair and gave him a bonnet

“uhm...why are you giving me a hat?” you almost slapped the taste outta his damn mouth

after explaining, he put it on; little did he know it was an expect copy to yours, just a different size

“baby, we’re matching!” ”yes, izu, we are. do you wanna take pictures?” you have just made his night. 

the pictures were posted all over insta and has them pinned on his account you betta bet mina was all in the damn comment section ; later, he would print them out and put them on his desk so he can look at when he sat down or went to bed

when you took his hair down the next day, he went to the mirror and baby had stars in his eyes

which is really annoying because all might be wanting them "one on one" talks and it will irk you to talk to him because everything will be "but young midoriya said..."

to be honest, he went to all might for love advice....don’t ever let him do that again. mans was using the most corniest lines but since it was izuku, he got away with- tell me you not cheesing thinking about him saying the "roses are red, violets are blue line" with the cutest blush...im waiting

golden hour, his favorite time of the day

this man will drop everything just to see you at golden hour like when the sun is just starting to set, he will rush into ya dorm room just to watch you

it's like therapy for him to see you relaxing under the setting sun and see your brown skin shining, i just feel like this time would be the time he reminds himself that he is incredibly lucky to have you and will literally do anything to keep you relaxed like this

his giving love languages is acts of service and a lil bit of quality time; his receiving love language is physical touch and words of affirmation

so it’s important that you meet in the middle and give him praise, shit works like a charm

go up to him, pat and rub his curls and tell him that he did a good job and one of two things will happen

one: he'll tear up a lot and ask if you're sure or two: he'll blush really fucking hard

as for his giving love, he'll just kinda follow you now until he is told to leave. don’t do that. just don’t.

let him leave on his own, you'll make him feel like he's bothering you otherwise 

ask him for cuddles, he’ll drop almost anything he is doing to do so

even if you just drop hints about it, he’ll just smile and just take you somewhere quiet before sitting down or laying down to take a nap with you (nap dates with zuku !)

i think my heart just busted outta my chest i love him so fucking much

if you wanna match his acts of service, when he’s sick or just really busy at hero work studies, take notes for him in class. he will love you forever i promise. 

and best believe, that he wants your attention on him at all times

he doesn’t want to get upset because that’s his friends and he's glad that you are getting along but he would be lying if he didn't feel a little salty about it

later on, he will ask for some and if you refuse for any reason, he’ll look at you like you just tore out his heart…cause ya did

and GOD FORBID if you give more attention to bakugo instead of him…it is now in God’s hands

he’s throwing you over his shoulder and walking away from bakugo, not before throwing him a glare which later on ensues another fight between them

he only did it because he doesn’t like you getting too close to bakugo, no matter how much he cares about him being his childhood friend

i would like to think there's always that underlying fact that yes, you can handle yourself, but he also knows just how capable bakugou is and lowkey does not want to risk it

please remind him that you do love him and that he is a good boyfriend with all the hugs, cuddles, and all that other good shit

he loves to write about you in his notes, he has AT LEAST 4 notebooks about everything about you as well as somethings he wish to say to you and a little souvenirs from moments between you two that he found special

he has a special item from the time he figured out that he loved you and wrote down in detail what happened and how he felt about it 

when you find these notebooks, do not, i repeat, DO NOT tell him that you found. just take the damn notebook while you can and run

give it back and you'll never see it again.

long story: yes, deku used to like her and yes, she almost got him but that did not work out and guess who got him first ! tbh, you started out good friends with uraraka apart from the dekusquad but she never told you about her lil crush until it was too damn late !  

and little miss thing was not happy about it; “after all this time…he gets with her!!”

i think you noticed at first her lil sly ass actions and remarks but don’t give in, let her make a fool of herself and watch her run around in circles

be calm and stay two steps ahead, it will work out in your favor ! and it did !

the next person that noticed was tsu, however, she was on your side about this because she hates petty shit and people so what uraraka was doing was not to her liking at all ! 

the other two, iida and shoto, caught on to it (iida wanting uraraka to at least remain civil and shoto just watching from afar) but deku remained oblivious for a while

he just wanted to be friends with everyone so he kinda just...didn't notice or thought she was mad about something else

i feel like uraraka would get beside herself and start saying reckless ass shit to express her frustration but it would only end up with her getting her ass beat and shunned from the group until she got her act together

you can guess what she said but all imma say is….she really lost her god damn mind and paid the price

what's worse is she really did try to make it seem like you stole from her...but dum dum was the one who didn't speak up? until the very last minute? which...sounds like a personal problem? sssoooooo, stay mad?

everyone in class did figure it out and it was just lowkey sad to see her get so messy but in the end !

izuku loves you very much and would do anything for you

a/n: more miles content !! woo !! i’m not gonna lie, there’s a lot of self projection in this so miles may be a teensy weeny bit ooc. but that’s alright.. i think.

EX BOYFRIEND!MILES would be slightly insufferable. he’s not the toxic type, however, he will continue to remind you of what you’re “missing out on.” if you’re both still following each other on instagram or tiktok, you will have to deal with him reposting tiktoks relating to your breakup or you in general. and whenever you would slide up, he would just reply with a simple “what? jus relatable content.” trying to act clueless as to what he posted. deep down he gets excited knowing that you acknowledged his story, but would you know that? never.

EX BOYFRIEND!MILES would have tried to get back with you a few times. he would never just let you go that easily. doesn’t matter if he was in the wrong or you were. if he’s in the wrong and the reason why you broke up, he would be profusely apologizing to you and start to make up scenarios in his head where you both would get back together despite what he did. if you’re in the wrong and the reason why you both broke up, he would keep telling you that he forgave you and that you both could try again. despite whatever you did, he would still be madly in love with you. he just couldn’t help it.

EX BOYFRIEND!MILES would at least try to have a conversation with you. it doesn’t matter if it’s just replying with your story with laughing emojis, and you heart it. or him asking you a question and you giving him an answer. just any form of communication with you would keep him satisfied for a day or two. he just didn’t wanna feel like you had thrown him away, or that you wanted nothing to do with him. (which was most likely the case but he didn’t wanna have to live in that reality just yet.)

EX BOYFRIEND!MILES would most likely cry throwing away things you had given him like your clothes and bracelets or things you bought him. he would have his alexa playing a slow r&b song, maybe brent faiyaz or bryson tiller, just to pretend he was toxic just for a second. he seen music as his therapy and something that got him through the day. he’s one of those people who would go crazy if spotify or apple music wasn’t working on a public place or if he left his headphones in his room. although he never thought he would have to use music to get over you.

EX BOYFRIEND!MILES would eventually give up on you after a while. even if he still loved you, he had drowned himself in his prowler duties enough to start to forget you and started to prioritize himself and his schoolwork. he’s also a teenager at the end of the day who is still in high school, a teenager who has feelings and phases, and eventually his phase of you was over. but that doesn’t mean he’ll forget how much he loved you. you were most likely his first love and he’ll continue to cherish every memory that he has ever had with you.

ok ok azutara headcanons GO:

these are not canon compliant cause we know how they meet and feel about each other and all that in canon lol

- azula isn’t evil by any means! yeah she’s a little bit of an asshole (or maybe a lot), but she was also a kid raised in an abusive household. katara on the other hand is a proud, self-proclaimed lovable asshole.

- they’ve been in the same social circle since they’re both kids of world leaders, but they weren’t fond of each other as kids.

- they forget about each other and meet again years later! when they’re adults, because you will never catch me writing an au where they’re 14. in canon, whatever. but i’m more comfortable writing characters closer to my age! you will also never catch me writing smut btw, it also makes me uncomfy.

- also azula has been in therapy since she became a legal adult and she has a good relationship with zuko because of it.

- so let’s say they meet again when they’re in their undergrad. neither of them recognize each other, both of em think of the other as “the smartass girl from my gen psych class”

- katara’s in bio pre-med but is 100% that girl that has three minors and a certificate in something. probably things like sociology, anthropology, women’s studies, etc.

- azula’s a business major. not by choice. i could definitely see her in something like forensic science or chemistry instead.

- anyways, they have a shared gen ed class and both of em are really into it because they both have mommy issues! which is why when they’re forced to work together on a project they decide they hate each other again.

- they realize that they knew each other in childhood when zuko and sokka walk into the water siblings’ shared apartment while katara and azula are fighting over making a powerpoint.

- katara makes an offhand comment about ozai being an asshole and azula just. loses it. bursts out crying. and katara’s there panicking like “oh my god what do i DO”

- katara ends up comforting azula and opens up about her mom to try and make azula feel less alone in the family trauma department. azula thinks she’s a dumbass but in a tsundere way where she secretly respects katara but won’t admit it.

- after that the two of em start hanging out out of class more often and (shocking, i know) enjoying each other’s presence

- katara realizes she has a crush first. it happens when they go to present their project and katara freezes up out of nowhere (which is so out of character for her) and azula immediately picks up her sentence and helps katara get through her part of the presentation

- so disaster bi katara ends up pining for at least a year because azula’s a dumbass who is subzero in flirting skills and completely oblivious

- azula’s also completely unaware that she’s gay as hell

- so azula realizes that she likes women…no not women…katara…at some sort of banquet where azula’s receiving a scholarship or smth and katara starts cheering for her from the audience (azula was tense, katara lightened the mood)

- so azula’s on stage having her gay awakening like “oh my god i’m in love with this dumbass who’s making a scene at this formal event and oh my god…” and as soon as she gets off stage she grabs katara’s hand and pulls her outside

- katara’s panicking and thinking azula’s pissed and goes to apologize but azula just. kisses her.

- katara’s immediate reaction is “fckin took you long enough”

- azula immediately goes red and is like “kat i realized i was gay less than five minutes ago please let me live”

- and therefore is subject to teasing for the rest of her life. the end.

buck and eddie don’t even realize that they had their first kiss until they pull away. they’ve been dancing around this moment for so long that when it finally happens it’s stupidly casual. it’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment. it’s an i’ve loved you all my life of course i’ll kiss you in hello moment. they laugh about it because it’s ridiculous and it’s eddie who leans in again because therapy eddie goes after what he wants and what he wants is buck’s lips on his!!!

the firefam don’t bet on them. it’s too big and too important and it took them a while to get here, you know? no money gets traded but buck and eddie don’t know that, so they keep their relationship a secret for the first few weeks. or they try to, at least, because they’re not incredibly successful. something something they’ve waited months for this, years for this, whole lifetimes for this. they fuck up when buck kisses eddie goodbye in the parking lot. everyone’s insanely happy for them.

i like to imagine they would have another kid. they’d adopt a little girl and she would drive them crazy. eddie was young with chris, buck was young with chris, and they’re a little older when the little girl comes around. enough that her endless energy exhausts them way faster than chris ever did. but they’re all in love with her (chris included, even if he’s a grumpy teenager about it). buck buys her too many little baby outfits despite the fact that she has all of jee-yun’s hand-me-downs. eddie kisses buck silly the first time he hears him call her mija.

they get engaged way too quick. buck moves in within the first two months, probably. why on earth would they wait? wouldn’t you rush to start the rest of your life if it suddenly looked like every dream you never let linger? wouldn’t you want to sink your hands into the head-rush feeling so it never goes away? they know their life is riskier than most and by god they have let fear and insecurities hold them back for far too long!!!! besides, isn’t marriage abour unconditional love? sickness health and all that shit? like they both haven’t seen each other at their absolute worst. like they don’t love each other more than anyone in the world. it’s an all encompassing sort of thing. and you can see it. it’s written all over their faces every time they look at each other. gay asses.

buck lets the will slip. i don’t quite know to who - probably maddie or hen considering the sperm donor thing. he wants to be a dad so bad, and he accidentally sort of kind of lets slip that he doesn’t want to be a back up dad. they raise an eyebrow. what does that mean? buck blushes and stutters and tries to dismiss it but they don’t let it go. he caves and admits that eddie put him in his will. that if something happens to him, christopher goes to buck. idk who it would be, but i do know they’d both call him an idiot.

also i personally headcanon buck speaks spanish. the man lived in south america. he at the very least understands it. eddie, however, does not know this, until buck is at his first diaz family reunion and everyone at the table is speaking spanish and buck…joins in. eddie’s face goes hot. sophia and adriana notice, because what are sisters for? they can’t even blame him, though. not when buck’s charming the pants off their aunts from mexico, laughing and blushing at all their compliments. eddie’s very thorough with him that night, kisses him the second he’s away from knowing, prying eyes. buck realizes he can kind of get away with anything so long as he says it in spanish.

Now I don’t wanna people to think it’s because he’s “lazy” or anything. It’s actually not that.

He needs to get out this really depressive mindset he has going on in his head. The real reason why he is so “lazy” in the first place.

He doesn’t really have the motivation to quite do anything. He knows his worth and is actually really good at a lot of things but he’s just stuck in this loop of “what’s the point” or “it’s no use” and keep shoving down all those emotions and skills he has to just sleep it away.

It’s going to be a really long while before he’ll be ready to get into a relationship. He really badly needs to work on getting himself out of those dumps.

The first step of that should be him graduating out of NRC.

Ruggie Bucchi

Romance is the last thing on his mind right now and could not really care for it.

He’s more focused on the whole ordeal thing with Leona and also trying to gain a little bit more money for himself.

Unless you are walking stack of cash. Don’t expect him to be dating yet.

When I think of Kalim, I think of Joy from Inside Out. They’re doing their absolute best for others and so much more. But they keep pushing their problems to the side and try to cover it up pushing this toxic positivity onto themselves.

He would be an absolute amazing S/O. But he needs to know that it’s okay to not always be happy and to have some doubt about things.

okay gonna type this out b4 the meds kick in and i’m pulled down into the emotional sadness of 1x04 for spnwin 

but like, i know i was like ‘omg fucking....john/carlos???’ last night but also with mary/latika lmao but like for real

i already started seeing some ‘but i don’t want the homophobic man to be queer’ 

and i just wanna say something? there’s no canonical evidence that john was homophobic. that can be your headcanon, your take on his character, whatever, but in terms of the actual TV show there’s no canonical proof that he was. i know someone’s going to mention that journal thing but that’s so quasi-canon to me and not really viewed at as actual canon, and also it has contradicting canon in itself from the show so i don’t count that.

so when you see things like ‘john winchester is homophobic’ just understand that it’s a reading and not fact. 

second of all, the reason why i love 1x04 so much is that we are seeing the ramifications of 

1) the culture of the time of young men, and in john’s case way too young, going into something as horrific as the Vietnam War was [on all sides] and witnessing [and in some cases participating in particularly] horrifying things 

2) this mindset of kinda toxic masculinity in the sense that men, and especially in this time frame, are expected to suck it up. his raised voice at carlos regarding therapy sessions reminded me of that, but also we have to keep in mind that john was on edge the entire episode and clearly quick to anger. but again, it’s 1972, and john’s a young adult, white male, in the midwest, veteran. i can see how he’s resistant to talking to people about his problems, especially if he just feels no better doing so [a common misconception that just one session of therapy and you’ll start to feel better], therefore it’s easy to associate therapy with feeling like shit and then avoiding it all together. 

and you combine john’s mental health issues, bc clearly he has PTSD [*note, not everyone with PTSD is angry, violent, or volitile. but SOME are. and clearly john is one of them, likely backed up by other issues throughout his childhood with the father issue] — with this queer...well i was going to say coding but that look he gave carlos and some other implications in this episode feels a little stronger than that lol — then you get an interesting situation. 

i think it’s important for us to not forget the nuance that SPN often undertook, and that the team at the helm of this show also aren’t unfamiliar with. this was literally the strongest episode so far, and i know usually episodes get stronger as seasons go on, but this was particularly strong. 

because — the nuance here is that not all queer people are good, kind, nice, whatever. queer people can be abusers, queer people can have anger issues, queer people can shun treatment for issues [with understandable reasons] and leave things to fester — 

queer people sometimes don’t come out the otherside of things in a good way. 

and i think it’s also important to have characters like that. 

*NOW please understand i’m not saying to revert back to Hollywood in the... idk 40s 50s and 60s? even 70s i guess. but there was really a run in movies where queer people were the predators the villains the — blahblahblah. essentially demonizing us in film. and then when Hollywood got tired of doing that to us, they’d just punish us and never give our characters a happy ending. 

But, much like with many things in storytelling, it honestly depends on the story and imo, the time period in which you’re telling it. 

Like i already said, the team at the helm of this show already know and understand’s SPN nuance and coding abilities. 

so to me, having a young adult, white male, who witnessed a horrifying tragedy [one of many he probably experienced but this one in particular], who doesn’t feel like he can get help, doesn’t trust the process, in the early 70s, who is about to be thrown into the ringer [he’s actually in it already] with cosmic forces, who’s literally facing down a violent god in this episode — who perhaps may be queer. 

this isn’t a show demonizing someone being queer and also being a neglectful and manipulative and emotionally, physically abusive father — it’s just the fact that sometimes, queer people can in fact be neglectful, manipulative, and emotionally/physically abusive parents in the future. 

and since it’s fiction we got cosmic forces mixed into the salad plot bowl as well.

honestly i’m really happy that they already showed that john’s issues do not just happen upon him when mary dies. that he’s always had this simmering anger. 

anger is a secondary emotion brought on by frustration, confusion, annoyance, fear, and all of that fun stuff. 

the winchesters isn’t going to be a lighthearted happy comedy. we know where john winds up. 

making him a more dynamic character in spn canon is fascinating, and since we already know where the ride is going to end up, no problem in encouraging that dynamic character building [while also wondering ‘what if’ a lot of the time like myself lol]

Normal octopus? Maybe a bit uncomfortable on his end but not too much. But~ if you were perhaps eating the ligaments of an octopus merfolk, then you may have yourself a very willing friend.

I personally believe that a long time ago (and maybe occasionally in the current era) rare merfolk (such as octopus and pufferfish merfolk) were considered a delicacy among land dwellers. Though that’s diving into dark history aspects of twst, along with some questionable morals of ye olden ancestors. Im completely sure that they would never bring any dark aspects of twisted wonderland’s history up in the game (or the manga/book) but I think it fun to imagine the parts of history that humans/land dwellers/the people in power tried to hide, like ours do, or at least cover up the brutish details that may make them look bad.

In our world we often times eat anything we can eat, even something extremely poisonous, like pufferfish. So I don’t see a good reason as to why some awful people from the past wouldn’t secure and devour merfolk flesh for the exotic/different taste. (Other than the inhumane factor of it all. Though that’s a wobbly argument since humans/land dwellers have proved time and time again that we will do crude things for either fun/our amusement/entertainment or for the animalistic urges we repress)

Now I’m not exactly sure how merfolk biology works, or if from where the tail disappears from where the human-ish part begins the meat origins separate as well. But if it’s a theory of them still having fully fish like meat on their bones (or in their body if they can sustain it) then I think my personal not really headcanon could be more probable than the prior being true — the separate meats.

TotK Impressions: Day 2

So I have an anxiety disorder, and money is a big trigger. I was lowkey expecting to have money-related intrusive thoughts for like, at least 3-5 days after buying Tears- despite knowing I could afford it- because that’s been my experience after moderate-to-big purchases. Sucks, but it happens.

I haven’t had any. I’m sure some of that is therapy but also the game is just that fucking good. I can see- and feel- the six year development time was not wasted. It is absolutely worth the money.

Okay, here are more impressions, and a mild Age of Calamity ~conspiracy~:

Dude the NPCS are SO MUCH FUN. Here’s a couple of my favorites so far:

Penn the Rito reporter! His design is so cute and I love his enthusiasm.

The people in the Castle Town hub are great, nice mix of BotW NPCs and new ones. The fact they were all so relieved to see Link alive was a nice touch. Also thank you devs for giving us a better home base.

I found a drummer who is part of a traveling band that performs at horse stables! Haven’t gone to Woodland to see them yet, but the fact they exist makes me VERY HAPPY!

The Sheikah elders arguing whether fighting offensively or defensively was great lol.

Some of them even react to the odder fusions! I fused a ring garland to a shield for the aesthetic

THE MONSTER HUNTING SQUADS. I LOVE THEM. WE’RE BROS 4EVER.

Okay regarding the monster hunter squads: I feel like maybe they were inspired by Age of Calamity? The UI for the fights is very similar to the ones in AoC. I do know they used the BotW engine to develop AoC, so it’s possible some code sharing happened. I have no proof, but it would be cool if AoC influenced TotK’s gameplay!

The Castle Town fort is great, I love that we have a more expansive homebase this time around. And the fact that everyone knew Link or knew of him was a nice bit of polish.

Speaking of homebases, yay the Hateno house is standing! I was a little disappointed it’s called Zelda’s House instead of Link & Zelda’s house, not gonna lie. But I know they’re trying to accommodate as many players as possible, and new players would just not be familiar with that sidequest. Plus, not every BotW player finished the house! I’m kinda glad they don’t assume tbh, and they left it open enough that older players can still assume Link is living there too.

The bit about Zelda staying in Hateno to help establish the first school is very sweet. Perfect bit of characterization for our researcher princess. I have a lowkey headcanon that Link is staying in Castle Town to head the surveys & reconstruction while Zelda works more on social program in Hateno, and they meet up as often as possible.

Okay back to Castle Town, I’m glad the giant telescope is more usable this time lol.

I looooove the Skyview Towers! The launch animation is so much fun, and I like the fact Purah reused the Sheikah tech to build them.

Although why did she reuse the Guardian legs specifically to HOLD DOWN LINK TO PREP HIM FOR LAUNCH. Girl that was unnecessary! You could have given him more warning!

I love her new design, of course. All the Sheikah designs I’ve seen have been A++.

When I got attacked by the walking trees for the first time I actually yelled “What the FUCK” out loud LMAO. I was NOT expecting to be attacking by the goddamn forests!

Horriblins also made me jump. But MAN their designs are SO COOL.

The monster designs in general have been top tier, give those designers a bonus because damn.

THE DEPTHS ARE SO FUCKING COOL. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. THE AESTHETIC, THE DIVE DOWN, THE PLANTS, THE CREATURES, THE POES!! POES ARE BACK!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH I WANNA BUILD A HOUSE DOWN THERE!

Also the running joke of Link startling people near the edge of the depth chasms is really charming, heh. Feral gremlin man is gonna feral gremlin.

Anyways I just got to Hateno last night, so I’m gonna bother more villagers and then maybe double back to Impa to start the obvious successor to the BotW memory quest. Or maybe I’ll go to Lurelin and beat up pirates. Or go back to Kakariko and dive into the big giant chasm that Naydra likes to fly into.

Summary: Did you know that testosterone doesn't make trans men infertile? Thomas didn't.

A/N: This takes place sometime in the middle of book 3. It's also an AU of my planned RCD rewrite, as the way I characterize Thomas and Avalon, I don't think that they would have kids. However I had already given them kids and gotten attached to them by the time I made that decision, so. AU. Also because this is an AU I can futz with my own canon for funzies! Baxter is the doctor mentioned in this fic despite them still being in their residency in Edenbrook in canon

They were supposed to be getting lunch.

Instead, they were still on set, watching Seth and Chadley run through a scene together.

Thomas tries to focus on the actors in front of him but his nausea was proving to be too much of a distraction to give them the attention they deserved.

When the scene ends, Macy turns expectantly to Thomas and Avalon. “Well?”

“You’re right on it not being quite where it needs to be…” Avalon begins. “I think… what the problem is… William’s been working for Ragnar his entire life, yeah? I don’t think he’d just be angry to find out what he’s been doing this whole time. He’d be hurt, he’d be upset, he’d be betrayed.”

Seth nods. “That makes sense.”

“What do you think?” Macy asks, turning to Thomas.

“I-” But before he can answer, a wave of nausea hits him. He launches himself at a garbage can set up near craft services, doing his best to drag the can away from the food while simultaneously vomiting into it.

“I didn’t think it was that bad,” Chadley says, and although Thomas can’t see his face with his head in the garbage, he can hear the hurt in Chadley’s voice.

“Damn, he beat me to the punch…” Seth complains.

“Don’t punch him! He might puke again!”

There’s a pause. 

“...No, Chadley.”

Thomas tunes out the conversation, trying to suppress the rest of his nausea. He feels a warm, familiar hand on his back.

“You alright, darlin?” Avalon asks, voice soft and full of concern.

Thomas nods. “I should be, I just-- uffh!” He lowers his head back into the can.

“Yeahhh… Macy, we’re gonna have to take a raincheck on lunch. I gotta get him home.”

“Right, of course, take all the time you need. Make sure he rests, and gets lots of fluids, and-”

Avalon raises a hand, stopping her. “I know how to take care of my own partner,” he states, a bit sourly. He gently scoops Thomas up, careful not to jostle him around too much. With a brisk nod to Seth and Chadley, he carries Thomas off the lot.

“You don’t have a fever, so it’s not the flu, I ain’t sick so it’s not food poisoning… Are you in any pain? Anywhere at all?”

“No, just a bit nauseous. It’s mostly gone now.”

Avalon rubs his chin, thinking. “This might be a long shot, but do you think maybe…” he trails off, shaking his head.

“What?”

“Could you be pregnant?”

Thomas blinks. That was a possibility he had not considered, one he didn’t think was necessary to consider. “I’ve been on hormone therapy for over twenty years; I haven’t menstruated since I was a teenager. There is no possible way I could be pregnant.”

“You’re sure? Completely and 100 percent?”

“I-- yes! The doctor that gave me the prescription told me it would make me inf-- that it would work as a contraceptive!”

“Take a test? Please? Just to cover all our bases?”

Thomas scowls, looking away. “If it’ll give you peace of mind, fine. I’m telling you now that it’ll come up negative.”

“Thank you. I ain’t expecting- nor wanting, necessarily- any particular outcome, I just wanna know why you’re throwing up.”

“...Okay.”

“Okay.” Avalon kisses his forehead. “I’ll go down to CVS and get a test. You’ll be alright on your own til I get back?”

“I’m just a little sick, that’s all. I’m not dying.”

“I’m allowed to worry about you.”

Thomas sighs, closing his eyes. “...Please be quick.”

“Of course.” Avalon kisses him gently one last time, then leaves him alone with his thoughts.

They had talked about wanting to talk about the possibility of having kids, but it never seemed like the right time to bring it up. Thomas would never say it out loud, but the idea that the decision would be made for them terrified him. If they were going to have kids, he wanted it to be a deliberate choice, one thought through and talked about. He knew Avalon liked kids, and had, at some point in his life, wanted to be a father, but with everything going on in their lives, their life…

Thomas wasn’t even sure if he knew what he, himself, wanted.

But he did know one thing.

He loves Avalon, and Avalon loves him.

And they would always be there for each other.

Well. He knew three things, then.

Thomas stares down at the pink and white stick in his hands- at the red plus sign that had appeared on it.

“Well?” Avalon asks quietly.

Thomas knew he knew.

He tips his hand, showing Avalon the result.

Unable to speak.

“...Oh.” Avalon breathes. “Oh. I knew it was a possibility, but…” he leans against the bathroom counter, shocked. “I didn’t really think-- I mean I did, but…”

“Maybe it’s a false positive,” Thomas says finally, voice raspy.

“False positives ain’t as common as false negatives, but if you think…”

“I think.”

“Okay… okay… We’ll do another one. Just to be sure.”

“I cannot believe you bought this many.”

“I thought that if there was a positive you might wanna double check. I wasn’t wrong,” he adds quickly.

“No, but…” he trails off.

The timer on Avalon’s phone goes off, and they both hurry to look at the small collection of pregnancy tests on the counter.

“Oh,” says Thomas.

“Oh,” says Avalon. “All positives.”

“Not all of them.” Thomas picks up the one negative.

“Darlin…”

“I know.”

They stand together in silence for a few moments.

“I have heard that there are certain kinds of cancer that can cause a pregnancy test to be positive,” Thomas says.

“Oh? What kinds of cancer?”

“...Testicular…”

Avalon stares at Thomas for a long time. “Baby… you don’t have testicles.”

“...Yeah.” Thomas sighs. After a beat, he asks, voice quiet, “What now?”

“I think… we confirm it with a gynecologist… and then… talk, I guess. It’s about time for it, anyway.”

“Right…”

They both look back down at the positive tests.

Thomas reaches out and gently touches Avalon’s hand. 

Avalon laces his fingers in Thomas’.

“-the looks of it, your baby is about seven weeks along-”

Thomas found it difficult to listen to what the doctor was saying, what Avalon was asking, to even breathe as he stares, dumbfounded, at the little… thing the doctor had pointed out, a lumpy round shape on the screen of the ultrasound machine.

His baby.

Emotion he couldn’t place wells up inside him, threatening to burst.

His baby.

A little blueberry, growing inside him. And he'd had no idea.

And then- he hears the heartbeat.

Oh.

That was his baby.

A sudden calm washes over him.

He reaches for Avalon- his lover, his lifeline- and squeezes his hand.

Their baby, he realizes.

He shakes himself out of his stupor and pays closer attention to the doctor.

“If you decide to keep it, you will have to go off testosterone and start on an estrogen treatment to ensure the baby can grow properly. “How long do we have until the choice is… made for us?” Thomas asks.

“Ah…” The doctor clears their throat. “Until the fetus is viable, about 16 to 17 weeks along. But the sooner you decide for yourself, the better.”

“I see.”

“Do you have any further questions?”

Thomas shakes his head.

“Alright. Well, everything looks and sounds about how it should. Let me finish up here and you’ll be free to go.”

Once the doctor gives them an all clear, Thomas follows Avalon quietly out of the clinic.

They’re almost home before Avalon clears his throat. “So…”

Thomas twists his hands together in his lap. “You… once told me that you wanted to be a father.”

Avalon glances over at him for a moment before returning his eyes to the road. “Well… yes. But it was sorta… what I mean to say is… if you don’t want it, it ain’t necessary for me. I don’t have to be a dad, if you don’t want-”

“I want it. I want to keep this, to have a child with you. I knew it from the moment I heard it’s heartbeat.”

“Are- are- are you sure? The doctor said you’d have to take estrogen, I don’t want you to go through something that might cause you the kinda hurt you’ve worked so hard to escape.”

Thomas places a hand on Avalon’s thigh. “I’ll admit, the idea of childbirth has, previously… well, it terrified me. But I think… I am at a point in my life where I know it’s something I can handle.”

“And you… want this, want this? It ain’t just… pregnancy hormones giving you some kind of… baby fever?” He parks the car in their driveway and turns to face Thomas.

“I want this, Avalon. More than anything. Just as long as you want it, too.”

“I-- I do, Thomas. I want it, too. I wanna be a parent with you. But I don’t want this decision made just because I accidentally knocked you up, or because I blurted something out after a near-death experience. Just the other day you said you’d rather have cancer.”

“That’s not what I said. I said that it could be cancer.”

“It really sounded like-”

“I know how it sounded. I was… unsure of what I wanted, and I didn’t know how I would handle this decision being made for us without us talking it over.”

“Well, we’re talking it over now.”

“Yes.”

“And you’re absolutely sure that you want to?”

“How many times are you going to make me say it? …Are you hoping that I’ll change my mind? Do you want this?”

“Yes, of course! I just- I can’t believe-” he suddenly bursts out laughing. “We’re going to be fathers! Us! …Oh lord, there’s so much preparing we gotta do, so much stuff we gotta babyproof, we gotta-”

“Look at me.” Thomas takes Avalon’s face gently in his hands. We have eight months-”

“Seven and a half.”

"We have seven and a half months to get everything figured out. That is plenty of time to prepare."

"Are you sure we'll be able to do it?"

"Avalon, we've worked on movies with quicker turnaround than the time it will take for this baby to be born."

"But this isn't a movie, this is a baby. A person. Every decision we make will affect who our baby will become."

"Yes. And luckily for us, the most important choices we need to make right now are which room we should convert into a nursery and what books on parenting we should read. We don't need to jump in the deep end and decide what college our child will attend."

Avalon sighs, turning his head slightly to press a kiss against Thomas' palm. "You're right. I guess I'm just… worried. That we might screw up."

“That is a very real possibility, and an understandable worry. I’m not going to say that we won’t screw up, but-” he pauses, searching for the right words to say. “I don’t think it’s possible to not mess up when it comes to parenthood. No matter how hard you try, you can’t protect your child from the world, not in a way that’s healthy for them. All we can do is… our best. And hope that it’s enough.”

“Woah there. Our best? What happened to Mr Perfectionism?”

“You’re right…” Avalon smiles, visibly relaxing. “You have no idea how comforting it is to hear you say that.”

“I think I have some idea.” Thomas leans across the console and kisses Avalon tenderly.

Everyone thinks Buck is the clingy one in his sleep and they’re only partially right. What he wants is to feel grounded by Eddie and to know he’s always there. He wants to feel Eddie’s weight holding him down or be held. He’s chased after so many people in his life that actually being caught and held is something precious and novel to him. This is why it’s usually him being the little spoon but more often than not he wakes up with Eddie draped half over him, an arm slung around his waist or his whole body pressed into his with nose buried in the pulse point in his neck.

Eddie and Buck do talk. About everything nowadays. They made that mistake once of not talking to each other and then there was the whole not talking about the shooting and respective girlfriends so when they finally—finally—both spend time in therapy they make extra effort to communicate with each other. Eddie’s determined to make sure he’s giving Buck what he needs and vice versa.

Eddie knows about the whole therapist sex thing and hates how Buck was treated about it. He always makes sure that Buck is okay with things and will stop if he thinks there’s even the possibility that Buck might be not okay with something or feels pressured into it. Sex. Dinner plans. Where they’re going this weekend? If Buck even hesitates a second he is willing to change plans. He will never force Buck to do something he isn’t 1000% onboard with.

Eddie still hates Abby for how she treated Buck and how she left him. He knows how that feels being on the other end of it and can’t believe she would do that to someone as caring and loving as Buck. She had it all and she left him. He doesn’t get her and is insanely protective about Buck about this.

Eddie might have had to restrain himself from playing ‘ding dong the witch is dead’ when Buck finally admitted that he and Taylor were over. Eddie is not sorry. He is team Buck all the way. Eddie is fully messed up at the moment but he is all about Taylor going going gone because she hasn’t been making Buck happy. He might be in love with his best friend but he wants Buck happy above all else.

My favorite tropes are NavySeal!Buck and pre-series meeting. I am just dipping my toes in with the second of those but I’m having fun.

I’d add in here that relationships are complicated as are family dynamics. I think in fandom we have a tendency to label something as anti-so-and-so but I’d like to have a more nuanced view (usually except for taylor in season 5 because that was a disaster). I love exploring Bobby as Buck’s pseudo-dad or having unreliable narrators because the POV something is written from is so stuck in their head that it could be read as anti/pro other characters but in the end it’s not. In general I love complex stories….

Not sure this all fits but ah well…. I am half a bottle of sangria in.

Kinesiology/exercise science/physical therapy major. Minors in either design or visual art as stress relief (we’ll come back to this). Eventually finishes up those required courses by the end of his 3rd year, so he decides to double major in business management because he didn’t feel like graduating early. 

He has a general sense of what he wants to do. He knows he likes helping others, which is why physical therapy is appealing to him. But if that doesn’t work out, he doesn’t mind entering the business field. Has enough confidence and leadership skills to make it big there.

Remember how I said he minored in visual arts as a form of stress relief? Big mistake. As much as Jean loves painting, sketching, drawing, you name it, he realized that he hates doing it for a grade. He’s a perfectionist, and he hates the pressure that due dates put on him. He always feels like he’s half assing his work (still looks amazing) and he doesn’t want school to ruin his passion and inspiration.

Can get away with putting very minimal effort in studying for his classes. He remembers things pretty well, and is good at conceptualizing topics and applying them when it comes to tests. 

That being said, he’ll gladly accompany you to the library or cafe to study. Means he gets a free pass to ogle at you all focused, without you noticing (most of the time). 

When you do look up and find your boyfriend staring at you, he just cocks his head to the side and gives you a smile while reaching across the table to give your hand an encouraging squeeze.

Has an eye for photography. If you wanna live out your IG baddie influencer dreams, Jean will gladly be your photographer and hype man. If you’re camera shy, he (un)intentionally builds your confidence over time because of all the photos he takes of you. He’ll tell you how to pose, what expression to make, etc. You best believe he’ll buy an expensive editing program just to use their nice ass presets. 

Has...a bit of cuteness aggression? Sometimes he sees you and just wants to squeeze the life out of you. He doesn’t tell you that though, and he has yet to give into those urges. 

Likes it when you have your nails done, especially if they’re a bit on the longer side. Likes it even more when you run your nails across his skin or scratch his scalp lightly. 

Speaking of nails, he doesn’t mind paying for them!! But there was one time where he found a really cool design that he wanted you to have but the nail tech couldn’t replicate it, so he decided to take matters into his own hands. 2 days later, Jean invites you over and he has a mini nail salon set up in his living room (thanks Amazon Prime). 

Starts out with just those press on nails that he paints cute little designs on, but eventually progresses to using gel extensions (Jean: “the tutorials I watched said that acrylics are bad for your nail beds, babe. I’m just watching out for you.”)

He’s proud of his work LMAO. He’ll take pics of him holding your hand to show off your nails and also posts timelapses of him doing your nails on tiktok/instagram. Somehow goes viral overnight, and now people are seriously asking him for his prices. Maybe this is his calling. 

He is very romantic, and very much likes to play into “traditional” dating stereotypes. Very chivalrous. If he could help it, you don't have to even lift a finger. He respects your independence, but also wants to help as much as he can. (“What’s the point of you dating me if you won’t let me carry your bag?”)

An excellent cook. He is, however, very particular about how things are done in the kitchen. Probably has to do with the fact that none of his housemates (Eren, Armin, Connie) even know how to properly julienne an onion. They are to stay clear of the kitchen when Jean is in there, lest they want a handful of flour to the face. You, however, can watch. He even lets you help him, even if it’s just by being a taste tester.

Don’t be surprised if he’s shoving a tupperware full of last night’s dinner into your hands when you show up to class, or texting you to come over because you just have to try his handmade ravioli. His love language is food and I will die on that hill!

CHOSO HAD JUST finished cleaning up his work station at the tattoo shop when nanami and gojo arrived from their internships. you were at the front desk, adding in appointments that toji had added to his schedule for december. gojo hopped his big ass on the counter and messed in the candy jar that you had just restocked.

“if you wanna keep your hands, i suggest you move them.” you murmured, typing away at the electronic schedule for toji.

gojo quickly removed his hands from the candy jar and folded them behind his back like a little child. nanami took a seat on the leather couch by the door, glasses pushed up his head and hands covering his eyes.

“you ok ken?” you asked gently.

nanami got migraines easily, something you thought had to do with dealing with the boys, ‘til you realized they came more frequently. “just a really busy day today is all. i wish you would’ve been there though, toji.”

now, the blond didn’t mean anything by his comment, at least you thought he didn’t. but unbeknownst to you, the two men were arguing recently over toji’s nightly activities, his side job, and how it affected his internship with nanami.

geto, choso, and gojo shared a look with one another, you still typing away on the iMac, minding your black ass business. choso moved to remove you from the situation, slipping past toji to coerce you into going to get food with the other two and finishing the schedule at the apartment. you had never seen the two argue before, and they tried not to have you present for them because it could get vicious. nanami meant well most of the time, which was why he would get onto you guys the way he would and toji did not always like that. before you had come along, those two would go at it for hours. toji’s anger issues flaring up and nanami’s manipulative tone sparing no insecurity of toji’s; it was a never ending cycle.

“cho, i’m almost done!” you whined, trying to finish up your last entry.

toji’s eyes hardened on the exhausted blond across the room from him. his body growing hot at his friends’ sly remark. how dare he throw a dig at him? with you present, nonetheless. can’t nanami see that he’s trying?

nanami finally opened his eyes to see the damage he caused. “but you’re so fucking perfect, right? mr. ‘got his shit together’ because the rest of us are so fucked up that you have to be the one to point it out.”

at the sound of toji’s voice, you stopped your bickering with choso and were now focused on him and his burning eyes that were trained on nanami.

“grow up fuhsiguro. you became an illegal street fighter to ‘deal’ with your trauma and then opened up a tattoo shop, but somehow can’t find the time to make it to your internship for eight hours?” nanami scoffed.

your heart dropped to your stomach at nanami’s cold and malicious tone. why was he talking to toji like that? why were they talking to each other like that?

“get her out of here, now.” toji spoke slowly, looking like he did before he got into a fight.

nanami scoffed and stood up from his spot on the couch, loosening the cuffs on his dress shirt. “you wanna hit me toji?” he taunted, making his way closer to the tattoo shop owner.

you couldn’t move from the chair you had been in since two pm that day. choso settled on pushing you to the wall, away from where the two men would handle their animosity. geto closed the doors to the tattoo rooms before joining you and choso, with gojo, by the wall.

“then hit. me.”

and the first punch was sickening. toji was a fighter, through and through, but nanami could hold his own too. but the way toji was hitting his friend, making sure all of his hits connected in some way, each growing in ferocity, you knew nanami was not going to reign the victor this time.

“stop them! why aren’t you guys stopping them?!” you yelled in distress, watching nanami land a hit near toji’s eye.

gojo looked at you sadly, silently pleading that you wouldn’t look at them differently. but the heartbreaking look in your eyes told him what he needed to know. and it was not until nanami landed on the ground particularly hard, that you snapped from your daze and pushed through the three men to stop the other two from killing each other.

toji had climbed on top and began landing hit, after hit, after hit upon nanami’s face left the blond unrecognizable.

“toji! toji! toji stop! you’re going to kill him!” you screamed, moving close to them to try and prevent toji from landing another heavy blow.

you weren’t thinking. not about how close you were to toji’s hands or how you could even get hurt yourself. just that you wanted this to stop. and when toji’s fist accidentally hit you upside the head, causing you to fall back, it did stop.

the three men had already been heading your way when you had gotten hit and it fell silent. you were touching the top of your cheekbone that had gotten hit, groaning at the pain it sent. toji looked at you in horror, no longer angry and now, afraid.

“oh my god! y/n!” gojo was the first to speak, rushing over to you in a hurry.

toji scrambled up from his position on top of the, now unconscious, nanami and went over to you. when you flinched from touch, the fushiguro son felt his heart dissolve into tiny pieces.

choso and geto went to attend to nanami, seeing that gojo had you in his arms already.

“i don’t know what the fuck is the problem between you and him, and i don’t want to know, but know this toji; i don’t want to see either of you until you can get your shit together. i am disgusted by y’all.” you spat, allowing gojo to help you up off the floor.

it hurt you to say that to him, but it was necessary because clearly none of them ever told them. and if they did, toji nor nanami cared enough about their opinions.

and that was the last time any of them ever fought like that.

Hello lovely! I have been hesitating to send this ask for a few hours now cuz I really didn’t wanna bother you! :( I’m so so sorry, but I just had a very bad day… honestly I have been struggling with my mental health for the longest time but only this year when I started going for regular therapy session and also started medication recently… I thought I got a little bit better with the help I’m receiving but I’m not sure why sometimes for no reason at all, everything just starts to go down for me…I started to think a lot but I just didn’t want to bother people about these kind of things over and over again and I’m also scared that certain ppl will actually judge me if I tell them about the appointments and medications :(

These few days also just brought back bad memories from when I was younger and being bullied in school… it just feels like a slap in the face when I tried so hard to get better but yet again I went back to square one… I’m really sorry this turn out to be very dark and depressing :(

Is it alright for me to request for an urgent request? Maybe just a short scenario about character saying reassuring things to me and accompanying me to my psychologist sessions? My comfort character as of current is Kuroo from Haikyuu or Hyun-Su from sweet home..(either one of them is fine!) thank you! And sorry for ranting!

[A/N:Hello my wonderful 💛anon <3 I'm so sorry that you've been feeling down after things were just starting to get better in terms of your mental health. It must be very frustrating :(. Your requests never bother me, please know that you will never bother me! It's an honor to be able to write this for you in hopes that it helps bring you any form of comfort! Also don't apologize, it's really okay! I used to go to therapy a while ago, but I stopped. After Covid and losing my best friend of 11 years (she didn't die, she just kinda pushed me away) I went back into my horrible spiral of darkness and I felt the same way. Like that I was back to square one, but I kept pushing and I was able to come back out of my pit of darkness thanks to my other friends and my faith, music, all that good stuff lol. BUT I still have my moments, so I just want you to know that having bad days is normal, but definetly continue to strive towards feeling better and working your way out of that place of darkness. Never give up <3. I'm here if you need me. ANYWAY, I chose to do headcanons since I wanted to write for both of your comfort characters. I hope that's okay :3, pls lemme know if it's not and I'll work on them again for you until you're satisfied with how they come out. Hopefully Kuroo and Hyun-su can provide you with some comfort <3. Also I HOPE KUROOS VOLLEYBALL ANALOGY MAKES SENSE. I swear it sounded so good in my head, but then I wrote it and it was ehhh, but idk if it makes sense to someone other than me. hehhh. Kuroo:

Kuroo is so patient and understand about your situation

He knows about your mental state and realizes that you’ve been having a few bad days recently, so he tries his best to help you take your mind off things

He’d try to take you out, maybe to one of his volleyball games or to a park to just walk with you and give you a chance to clear your head

If that doesn’t help then he sits down with you and tries to figure out what’s going through your head

“What’s going on Y/N? You can talk to me you know,” he says gently, reaching out to hold your hand in his own

“It’s okay Kuroo, I don’t need to bother you with this,” you smile softy at him, but secretly wish you could just let all your feelings out

He’s almost insulted that you think you speaking to him and expressing yourself to him is you “bothering” him; if he could, he’d sit and listen to you talk for hours about whatever’s on your mind

He wouldn’t force you to tell him though if you didn’t feel comfortable, he’d just give you a reassuring smile and hope that you’d open up to him soon

In the meantime though, he’s always trying to make sure you know how amazing you are and how important you are to him

Expect plenty of surprise hugs (mostly back hugs as he nuzzles his face into the crook of your neck) and spontaneous words of encouragement

“Hey darling, you’re doing so wonderful today. I’m incredibly proud of you,” he tells you one day

“Proud of me…? For what?”

“Just proud that you exist in my life and for trying your best each day,” he exclaims with a sly smile, walking past you while ruffling your hair

He’s worried about you of course, but he tries not to show it in fear that seeing him so serious would make you feel even worse, so he keeps that smile that you love on his face and continues to act like things are normal while still squeezing in some comfort for you

Whenever you do build up the courage to let him in on what’s going on in your head and how you’ve been feeling for the past few days, he quietly listens and grabs ahold of your hand to encourage you

“I’ve just been feeling so great after my therapy sessions, even the medication was helping. I really thought I was getting better, but then I randomly found myself back at square one. Like all my hard work went to nothing, and I just don’t know what to do Tetsuro…” you explain to him, finally getting the weight of your emotions off your back a bit

“Hmm, I see what you’re saying,” he says while rubbing small circles to the surface of your hand, then he looks at you with his signature smile, “but I don’t think you should give up after feeling like you’ve spiraled back to square one, that doesn’t mean you actually are back to square one.”

“Huh? What do you mean?” you ask him, confused at his wording, but glad that he was still comforting you instead of judging you for the information shared about yourself regarding your therapy session and medication usage

“Let me put it this way. I play volleyball. All our players have their good days where we win games and rounds back-to-back. Of course Nekoma is a strong team, but we also have our bad days. Whenever we lose a round, we don’t give up and claim our loss, because we still have another round to bring our chance of victory back. Even if we lose that second round, ultimately losing the game between our opponents, that doesn’t mean Nekoma is now a weak team, we just happened to have a bad day that game.”

“Hmm I see,” you hum in thought as you try to take his words in, and he continues.

“Now, after that loss, our team can continue in two different ways. Either one, we get hung up over our loss and have it affect every future game we have, which will surely bring us more failed games, or two, we learn from our loss, shake ourselves off, and train harder so that we ensure our next game is a victory. This is all to say, all the effort you put into getting better is still there! You didn’t work hard to get yourself into a better place for nothing, but bad days are sure to come for anyone. Regardless of our mental state, we all have bad days, and that’s okay,” he reassures you

It was nice to hear that at least your feelings were normal, but you wouldn’t just magically feel better from his words over-night

“Thanks Tesuro,” you give him your best smile. “I was wondering...if maybe you’d come with me to my next therapy session? You don’t have to if you don’t want to though! Don’t worry about it...actually nevermind, it’s okay.”

“I’d love to go if you don’t mind,” he eases your mind and pulls you into him, leaving a soft kiss to the top of your head

You smile at him, glad that he really wasn’t making a big deal out of things

He wants to treat you like he normally would because he honestly doesn’t think any differently about you once he hears about your therapy sessions or the meds you take; you’re still YOU, and that’s all that matters
