I haven't watched more than like, 8 episodes of once piece, but i just want to say that i'm loving your live(?) blogging of the episodes as you go. especially all the sanji x luffy, it's all very cute in general but also how excited you get about it is fantastic.
that's all! i just love seeing people passionately enjoy things.
AAGFGHGHF THANK YOU OMG........I feel like I've been REALLY annoying talking about Sanlu nonstop but I'm glad at least somebody is enjoying it lmao. But if there's one place where I SHOULD have no filter and feel free to talk about my ships constantly, it should be my own blog right. LOL

A Cracked And Fissured Door
Pairing: Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Reader
Genre: Hurt/Comfort
"You just...you make me feel like you only want me when nobody's looking."
It stings, if she's being honest. Being kept at an arms length when in public. Most people know about them, so she's not sure why he's so...cold and distant when they're not alone.

"If he sends us out before next week I'm quitting." Soap groans, back cracking as he flops down forward on the bar. "Three ops in a week? What do I look like, a machine?"
Gaz snickers, raising his glass to that. "Bloody might well be at this point."
She hides a smile behind her own drink, leaning back into the bar. They had done three ops in a week, mission after mission after mission. It had been pretty rough, just as Soap said and she was more than ready to crash and burn and sleep for three days straight but abandoning their tradition of getting drinks at this specific bar everything Saturday was not something anyone on the 141 was willing to break.
"Just be glad we got the weekend off." Ghost says from beside her. She smiles warmly at him, is rewarded with a slightly blank look.
The flicker of her smile is hid behind another sip.
"Betcha your gonna take advantage of that, eh?" Soap nudges her, looking pointedly between her and Ghost. The latter rolls his eyes and says nothing.
"Only thing I'm looking forward to is an actual mattress." She knocks back the last of her drink and stands, shrugging Gaz's arm slung over her shoulder. "Speaking of which, I think it's about time we call it a night." Casting a glance at her boyfriend, who merely nods in confirmation and pushes the stool back himself, she nods at the others. "Don't cause too much trouble, boys. Text us when you're home safe, yeah?"
"We just got shot at for a week, don't think a car ride home is gonna be the end of us." Soap snorts.
"You never know." Is all she says before stepping out of the bar with Ghost, who offers her her coat to shrug on.
"Hell of a week." She comments, glancing at him gratefully as she shrugs on the warm fabric.
"Just glad it's over," Simon says simply.
Walking back to their car, she can't help but cast quiet glances at him as they walk. She knows Ghost notices them, chooses to keep looking ahead and keep the silence.
Truth be told, she aches to touch him.
Aches to feel his skin on hers, to feel the callouses of his hands brush against hers. His heat, ever all-encompassing makes her feel safe in a way no bulletproof vest ever could.
"Think I might ask Price to assign me desk duty for a while." She jokes, knocking their shoulders together gently.
To the untrained eye, to someone who might not have been tuned to what makes Simon Simon, it wouldn't have been noticeable, but he leans subtly away so they don't touch again.
She doesn't mention it, but it makes her heart heavy.
It's nothing new. She's not sure why she's even surprised anymore.
Trying again, her arm hangs beside her, purposefully brushing against his gloves. The frown on her face deepens when he shoves his hands into his pockets.
Maybe it's the exhausting week she's had, but it gets to her, infects her heart, mind, and soul with the insecurity she keeps locked behind a cracked and fissured door in her mind.
It stings, if she's being honest.
He's not the most...social person. Closed off and private, but baring her soul to someone she loves and getting so little in return...
Being kept at an arm's length when in public, even though their relationship is not a secret. Most people know, actually, so she's not sure why he's so...cold and distant when they're not alone.
The car ride home is silent, but not in a comfortable way their quiet is usually shared. Simon seems to pick up on it, because he grips the steering wheel a little too hard, the tension in his shoulders a little too foreign.
Gaz had no problem touching her. A friendly punch to the arm, an arm around her shoulder. Soap was a touchy person by nature, nudging her and ruffling her hair.
So why was it that Simon always pulled away?
The one person who should love her the most, who should be proud of loving her...why does he pull away and pretend this thing between them doesn't exist.
She doesn't get it, hasn't understood for the past two years they've been together. Pushing was not something she'd considered given his stubbornness and private nature, but there's no denying she's always felt a twinge of hurt whenever he disregards her in public.
Was he...ashamed? Of her? Did he not want to be seen with her?
The thought latches itself onto her, sucking away the usual confidence she carries and leaving her a nervous mess. It makes her sick. Before she knows it they're back home but she can't find herself to walk any farther than the front door that's shut behind her.
He doesn't comment on it, just casts her an inquisitive look before moving to the kitchen in view.
Simon always did like a cup of tea before bed.
"Simon?" The word comes out a little garbled, caught in her indecision, and morphed into something muffled. He hears it, because of course he does, and hums. Doesn't look up from where he's rifling through the cupboards for his kettle.
The air is cold in her lungs, freezes up with nerves, and this is all so ridiculous. It's stupid and she shouldn't be feeling this way but she does because she just does.
Trust was a precious jewel, a diamond only given to those who trusted enough to keep it unmarred. Necklaces and earrings and bracelets, she feels like she could make millions of intricate pieces with the bits of trust she had bared for Simon to take and keep as his own.
Simon knows what she loves, what she hates, how she feels about anything and everything. The rhyme and reasons, the way she ticks, and what throws her off kilter. He knows it all, it's been given willingly and eagerly to the man who took her heart with that rough demeanour on the tarmac two years ago.
She had given him all her gems, the shiniest and the dullest ones, but he's never even been bothered to spare her a piece of coal.
When she doesn't speak immediately, he pauses his movements and sets down the kettle on the counter with a 'clink'. "What's the matter, love?" He straightens up.
"Do you want to be with me?" She blurts out, unable to fathom leaving this conversation for another day. Not when she's so worked up and hurt and feeling.
His face stays blank, and when he responds it's almost as if he's doing it carefully. "What do you mean?"
"I mean what I asked." The sides of her coat are clutched with a knuckle-white grip, nausea making her an inch away from ruining the lovely carpet they'd picked out together when they'd first moved in.
Simon furrows his brows. "I'm here, aren't I?"
"That's not what I asked." Unease starts to curl up in her gut. "Do you like me, Simon?"
"Of course I fucking like you, what are you talking about?"
"You sure don't act like it."
There.
It's in the open now. Simon stares at her for a moment, shocked or stunned or whatever emotion that causes him to clam up for a moment.
He never really was good at this part of their relationship, but this...it was vital. It was important because she refuses to let this problem define what they have together.
"You don't touch me when we're not alone." She starts, "You act like I'm just no one when we're out together. You barely acknowledge me any more than anybody else, pull away when I try to touch you." It feels good to let this all off her chest. Months and months of trying to figure out what was going on. "Tell me why. I just want to know why."
"I'm a private person-"
"No Simon, that's not what this is." She shakes her head, emotion rising inside her. "You just...you make me feel like you only want me when nobody's looking. Like I'm...like you want to keep me a secret."
Her eyes are glassy because saying it hurts so fucking much, but it needs to be said. It needs to be voiced, he needs to listen and acknowledge-
"You know that's not true, so it shouldn't be a bloody problem-"
"Do I?" A laugh burst out of her, unexpected and short. It's enough to cut him off, cause him to narrow his eyes. "You've never told or indicated that to me. Not once. Not in two years."
"It's common sense. I wouldn't be with you if I didn't want you." She can tell he's trying to stay level, to meet her in the middle but all caution gets thrown to the wind because is he really trying to argue with her on this?
"No, it's not." She insists, trying not to raise her voice as anger bubbles up inside her. Was he not getting it? Not understanding that this was hurting her? That he was hurting her? "Sometimes I-..." She swallows, "Sometimes I'll be having a great time, like today. I'll be laughing and enjoying myself and then I'll glance at you, or try and do something as simple as brush shoulders, and I'll watch you push me away. Or pull away." Her voice waver but she fights to keep it steady. "And it makes me feel miserable because what is it about me that makes my own boyfriend not want to accidentally touch me?"
"Why didn't you tell me before?" He says, hackles raised at being put on the spot like this. Ghost doesn't mean to, but this is all so new to him and the only thing he knows how to do in these rapidly changing situations is to be sharp and jagged and tense. "If you're so miserable, why are you still here?"
"Because I love you!" She cries out. "And I can't help but think that I might never get the same back from you." Her grip on her coat tightens.
There's a beat of silence.
"I never asked you to. You knew what you were getting yourself into."
His words cut through the quiet, as sharp as the blades he keeps strapped to his thigh.
"Oh, fuck you." She whispers. "Don't give me that bullshit. That's not an excuse for not trying-"
"Not trying?" His voice gets slightly louder. "I try every day. I try to be someone you deserve but you're bloody well making it difficult when-"
"Just stop!" She yells over him. "Stop. I'm not asking for something you can't give. I'm just asking for an explanation."
"I can't-"
"You can!" To her dismay, her eyes burn with tears that are bound to fall in a few seconds, but she's too far into it to turn around now. "It's been two fucking years, Simon. Two years. I've never pushed or pressured you, I've listened and sat here and tried to be the one you can come to, but you never do." She sniffles, wiping her tears away roughly.
He stays silent, visibly frustrated but letting her talk.
"Do you know what they say back at base?" She spits out. "About me? They say I've forced you into being with me." A hollow laugh. "That I've got some dirt on you that keeps you quiet, or that I'm just someone you pass the time at night with because everyone thinks that you want nothing to do with me during the day. They talk about why we're still together, why you're still with me when you clearly have no interest." Her tears are long forgotten, left to trail down her cheeks in rivers of hurt. "They say...they say I'm only on the 141 because of our relationship."
And that was what hurt the most. Her own skills undermined like that.
That startles him enough to pull his brows in confusion "I didn't know..."
"Of course you don't, why would they say it in front of the man who looks like he could snap their spines in half?"
She waits for him to speak. To say something, anything, but all he does is stare at her with those half-blank eyes that she can never decipher and it infuriates her because did he not just listen to what she's told him.
"You know what, forget it." She chokes out. "I'm done. I'm fucking done with this." She gestures to them both, vaguely watching his eyes widen with muted panic. Getting shoved into a woodchipper would be less painful than the hurt that tears through her chest, hiccupping on swallowed sobs.
"Hold on-"
"I can't be the only one keeping us both afloat." She reaches behind her for the doorknob. "I don't want that. I love you, Simon. I really do, but it hurts so fucking much when you act like I'm disposable, like you're ashamed of being seen with me."
The door is pulled open by her, and then roughly shoved shut by Simon. He moves quicker than she could register, behind the counter one moment and right in front of her the next. His hand stays firmly on the door, keeping it shut as he leans down to catch her gaze.
"Ashamed is the last thing I am about you." He says quickly, clumsily. "I-...fucking hell that's not right at all, love."
Simon is...he's panicking.
The thought strikes her immediately with the way his chest rises and falls quickly, the lack of that cold clipped grace in his voice.
"I don't care." She chokes on a cry, hands planting themselves firmly on his chest to shove him away. It's like nudging a brick wall. The man is immovable, standing in place with their bodies so close it feels like they're sharing heat. "I'm tired, and you're making it worse so let me go." He grabs her wrists, presses them against himself to keep her in place. His hands are warm, rid of the gloves he usually dons.
She's met with every inch of that scarred face of his. She hadn't noticed but he'd discarded his mask as he'd been rushing around the counter to get to her.
"Listen to me." He breathes, trying to get his thoughts straight and keep her there with him. He can't lose her, can't let her walk out the door because he's afraid that she might never come back. "Please."
It's the last word that pauses her struggle. Simon...he was someone who operated on orders and demands so the frantic and silent plea pushed into the word is enough to make her still for a moment.
And a moment is all he needs.
"I've never..." He thinks for a moment. Never has she seen him look so frazzled. He tries again. "Everyone I've ever loved has been killed." Her eyes widen at the declaration. "My family. My friends...everyone." His breath fans over her face with how he's leaned down, hot so very him. "I think I'm afraid if I show the world I love you it might try and take you from me too." Simon's voice breaks at the end, as if he's voiced something from his nightmares and despite the pain she's feeling the sound slices through her. "And I can't...I can't live with losing you too."
With bated breath, he waits for her to respond. Part of him can't bear to look her in the eyes after the admission but he finds himself staring at her face anyway, drinking in any sign of hope.
Hope. How long has it been since he's felt the warm rays of such a feeling?
Slowly, so slowly it makes his breath hitch, she tugs her hand free on his. For a moment Simon thinks she might push him away again and his heart sinks like a stone, but then her fingertips graze his face, her hands cup his cheeks and suddenly they interlock behind his head, pulling him in.
Simon crushes her into him, tucking her head under his chin with a shuddering breath of relief. He's not lost her, not completely.
Hope.
There was still such a thing for a man like him after all.
"I'm not going anywhere." She mumbles into the crook of his neck, the feeling of his lips moving on his skin sending a shiver up his spine. "I'm so sorry, Simon. If you'd told me that before I would have tried to help-..."
Simon shakes his head immediately, arms tightening around her. "I chose not to tell you. The thought of coming home and seeing you on the ground...bloody...like them." He swallows past the lump in his throat. "Fuck, I'm sorry I hurt you, sweetheart."
Simon didn't apologise often, so when he did that means he knows he's fucked up.
She does not tell him it's alright, that she forgives him or that he's fine. Because he's not. His apology, his honesty doesn't make the months of hurt go away. It still aches at her like before, but this time the ache has a meaning behind it. It has a reason.
They hold each other for a moment, against the door, two people knee-deep in a problem that's been brewing for weeks and weeks, bubbled over the edge in the ugliest way possible.
"I need you to try." She whispers after a moment, the barest of smiles gracing her face when he nods slowly.
"I know." He says simply against her hair. Gently swaying in each other's hold, both are content to stay there for a while, to calm their racing hearts with the knowledge that the other is still there, is real and solid under their hands.
And it's enough.
                                  · · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Change is a slow trek to an ever extending finish line.
Simon keeps his word. If there's anything it's good at, it's resilience. Though it makes him antsy and paranoid and dare he say slightly nervous to open such a part of him to somebody again, he tries.
He tried because he'd rather saw his own arm off than be the one who gives her a reason to leave. Not her. Not the best thing that's happened to him in years, the person who's managed to wake up Simon after years of being Ghost.
A subtle brush of hands as they walk.
An arm around her shoulder while they drink.
Thighs and sides pressed together as they take their seats on a heli.
The squeeze of her knee from under the table.
It builds and builds into something warm and new and fresh, a feeling that overshadows all the worry he had about the universe having a vendetta against him because if there was one good thing that Simon Riley wanted to keep, it was her.
Their weekend is filled with conversations, real conversations about things they've kept to themselves, worries and concerns, and moments of hesitance. He tries his best, though some words die on his tongue before he can get them out. She pushes him, but never more than he can take. Heart, body, and soul, she knows him like the back of her hand but he's the only one who can truly let her into his mind.
All that aside Simon also has another more personal task to work through once their weekend is over.
After paying some not-so-nice visits to more than a dozen people (to his absolute fury), she never once hears a peep of another disgusting rumour ever again.

Bring Me Home Arc 2 Part 20: FINAL
So guess what I realized this morning. Today, November 13, 2023 is the one year anniversary of me posting my first DPxDC fic to tumblr. It was the original fill for this very fic. (Which you can find here.)
So I decided I just had to finish this arc and get it posted. This year has been amazing and so much fun. I've become a much better writer and joined a community that has brought me so much joy. I'm glad to be here and I'm glad so many of you like to read what I'm sharing.
I noticed I got a few new readers over the past week or so, so welcome to all of you! Hope you enjoy this early update!
In personal news, my nephew was born and he's adorable and I'll be meeting him tomorrow! (As soon as I'm done posting this, I'm off to make food for his mom.)
Story Summary: Tim and Danny are both neglected by parents who care more about their work than their families. They deal with this by spending too much time online and find each other playing MMORPGs. They keep up their friendship as Tim becomes Robin and Danny becomes Phantom and don't bother keeping secrets from each other.
Arc 1
Arc 2: Part 1, Previous
Word Count: 1.2k
-----
In the end, it ended up taking several hours for Danny, Sam, and Tucker to escape their families and converge on the park. In that time, Tim had called Bruce to let him know he’d be back in Gotham by tomorrow and finished most of his homework.
While he worked, Wulf and Bart were having an animated conversation in Esperanto.
Tim was pretty sure Wulf would be bringing Bart to the Ghost Zone for a tour sometime and started making plans to learn Esperanto himself and bribe Bart to get in on them.
Cassie was helping Conner sort through some of the music Sam had given him. Tim was jealous as he solved more banal trig questions. Why did school have to be so boring? He tapped his pencil on the paper in time to the beat of whatever music Conner had playing.
Tucker was the first to arrive. “Danny and Sam not here yet?” he asked as he plopped down next to Bart and Wulf.
“Nope. Haven’t heard from them, either,” said Tim. He opened his phone notifications again just to be sure, but there was nothing new.
Tucker shrugged and pulled out a stick of jerkey to munch on. “Not surprising. The Fentons will be all overprotective after the mayor was kidnapped by a ghost on live TV. And Sam’s parents are just as bad. Only they smother rather than check the weaponry.” He turned to greet Wulf in Esperanto.
An email came through on Tim’s phone and he groaned. “Our evening interview was canceled. No one wants to hear us try to defend Phantom anymore.”
Cassie cursed. “Course not. Bet the paper won’t publish our editorials either.”
Conner looked over, confused. “Won’t they? Clark works for the Daily Planet. They publish stuff like that all the time.”
Tim didn’t look up from his math as he answered, “That’s the difference between a big, Pulitzer winning publication and a small-town op-ed.”
Tucker sighed. “Well maybe someone will remember your interviews from this morning in a positive light.”
Bart rolled his eyes. “Come on, we can’t change it. So let’s move forward. Next step, make friends with more ghosts! Wulf says there’s a bunch of cool people in the Realms.”
“Realms?” asked Tim.
“It’s what he says the Ghost Zone is actually called. The Infinite Realms.”
“Huh. I’ll have to check JL databases, see if they have any information on them.”
Tucker asked something in Esperanto and Bart burst out laughing as Wulf looked on in confusion.
With Bart’s help, though, he rephrased until Wulf was able to reply. And then the three kept to Esperanto. Tim really had to find time to learn it.
Sam was the next to arrive. She grinned and sat down next to Conner. “How you liking the music?”
Conner grinned and showed her the sheets where he ranked the bands so far based on which songs he’d listened to. She then took over the speakers and searched for specific tracks to try and change his mind about some of the bands he liked the least.
Tim let his eyes close as his friends’ voices washed over him.
After some indeterminate time where he dozed between sleeping and awareness, a foot nudged his hip. Tim grumbled out what was supposed to be a, “What?” but was too mumbled to really be understood.
“Come on, Secrets. You can do better than that.”
Tim cracked an eye open to see Danny grinning down at him. He pushed himself up slightly and blinked heavily in the sunlight.
“Finally got away from your parents?” asked Tim.
Danny collapsed on the ground next to him. “Ugh, don’t remind me. They’re freaking out over everything that’s happened the last few days. Jazz and I are basically going to be on lock down until they feel confident the ghosts are gone.”
“Did you have to sneak out to get here?” asked Cassie.
Danny shook his head. “No, I told them I was going to find you guys to make sure you were all safe. You’re welcome to come back to ours tonight, by the way. Mom and Dad basically insisted on it.”
“What do you guys think?” asked Tim. “Spend one more night here at Danny’s and head out in the morning?”
Cassie sighed. “My mom’s already freaking out that I’ve been gone longer than planned. I should get back tonight.”
“I’ll stay,” offered Conner. “I’m your ride home, anyway.”
“Why don’t you come to my place, Conner,” offered Sam. “Your nails need a fresh coat after fighting today. And I need teach you about the different brands of makeup and what to look for in terms of cost, quality, and ethicality. Plus I can get you more music.”
Tim laughed when Conner looked to him. “Go for it. Have fun.”
Conner grinned. “Then yeah, let’s do it!”
Bart shrugged. “Wulf is going to go back to the Realms soon. I’ll head out after. Wally and Linda want me over for a family dinner tonight.”
“Well, looks like that’s it, then,” sighed Danny. “Been fun having other heroes around.”
Tim nudged his shoulder. “Join the Young Justice. You could join us and we'd help out whenever you wanted. Get you around people who actually appreciate what you do for them.”
But Danny was already shaking his head. “I have to stay here. And now Amity trusts heroes even less. I want to improve that, not make it worse.”
“Even if you don’t join,” declared Conner. “You’re not getting rid of us now.”
Bart nodded his agreement. “Yep. We’re gonna be stopping by all the time. You’re in the group chat.”
“Exactly,” agreed Tim. “And we’ll figure out ways to help you. Starting with how to minimize property damage. That seems to be the big thing people focus on. You can make shields, right? How big can you make them and how much power do they take?”
Danny smiled wryly. “Can’t say I’ve really tested it.”
Tim laughed. “Well, I know one thing we’re doing tonight. We’re going to go back to Nasty Burger—” Tim looked around at the whole group “—all of us. Then Cassie and Bart are going to go home. Danny and I, at least, are going to take a nap. Then we’re gonna test the current limits to Danny’s powers.”
Danny bumped their shoulders together. “You know, this is just like gaming with you all those years.”
“Yeah, well, it’s best to be thorough.”
“We’ve measured, like, his top speed and stuff,” said Tucker, pulling out a PDA. “Want to see what we’ve got so far?”
“Absolutely.” Tim took the device and looked through it. “You’ve a decent amount of information here. Maybe instead of taking a nap, I’ll help you organize it and come up with a testing plan.”
Conner flew over to him and pulled the PDA out of his hand. “Not after pulling an all-nighter you won’t. We’re going to get some food, then the two of you are going to sleep for at least four hours.”
“I’ll set Jazz on you, too,” threatened Sam. “Don’t think I won’t.”
Tim pouted as the device was given back to Tucker. And grumbled more when Conner picked him up and threw him over his shoulder.
“Come on, food time.”
“I am going to put kryptonite in your phone,” threatened Tim.
“Bingo!” shouted Cassie.
Danny laughed as he stood. “Does this mean I can join the next round?”
Tim scowled. “Traitors, all of you.”
-----
Next
And that's the end of this Arc! Arc 3 will pick up where the original fill did. (Only this time, Tim won't be the only DC character there to help Danny.)
I'd say something like I can't believe it's only been a year, but so much has happened to me in the last twelve months that it feels like a lifetime ago, to be honest. But it's been a good year and I'm glad this community has been part of it.
Please follow the subscription post if you want updates for when I start transferring this arc to AO3 or begin posting Arc 3.

Cool raindrops streamed down the bedroom windows as you gazed in the distance, watching the mist slowly raise above the tall trees. Although it was only the beginning of September the leaves started to wither, changing from fresh green to deep yellows and orange.
From the other side of the mattress Poe groaned softly. "Good morning love" he said in a mellowy voice. "How'd you sleep?"
"Really well actually" you replied.
The only sounds piercing through the silence of the room were the occasional chirps of birds and the ruffling sound of bedsheets as Poe shifted closer to you. One of his arms wrapped lazily around your waist, pulling you flush against his chest.
"I'm glad to hear that. I slept well too. Had a great dream"
No matter how many times you woke up next to him, his deep morning voice always worked wonders on you.
"Really?" you asked playfully, rolling your hips against his own "Tell me about it"
Poe's grip on your hip tightened, nails slightly digging into your flesh "Well" he began "It started exactly like this: us in bed on a cool autumn morning..."
His words drifted off as he placed a kiss on your neck.
"And how did it continue" you added, tone laced with impatience.
Your boyfriend was painfully aware of the way your breath hitched and the goosebumps tingling the skin of your arms and neck. He lot out a low chuckle, not ceasing his saccharine affections.
"How about I show you hm?"
His hand slipped under the hem of your tank top, tracing a line up to your collarbones and you shivered in response; a warm, familiar feeling bubbling up inside you.
"I'd very much like that" you said, lips stretcing in that beautiful smile Poe adored as you indulged in his gentle touch.

You'd arrived home the previous night when your boyfriend was fast asleep, lulled into a deep slumber by a few glasses of his favourite wine.
But now it was morning and you were carefully tip-toeing around your apartment, careful not to wake Chuya up. A gentle simmer, the smell of freshly brewed coffee lingering in the air, soft autumn light filtering through the high windows of the condo in shades of cool. Home.
You were pouring coffee is a chunky cup when a familiar pair of arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you in a tight embrace.
"Welcome home sweetheart" said your boyfriend in a sleepy voice, hot breath fanning over the shell of your ear.
A playful giggle rolled past your lips and you smiled. "It's good to see you Chu. Hope I didn't wake you up."
"Nah, don't worry. I don't mind it"
His arms tightened around your waist, causing you to spill a few drops of the hot liquid on the marble counter.
"Aish be careful. I almost burnt myself"
You reached for the kitchen towel but before you got the chance to grab it, Chuya spun you around and grabbed your hips, hoisting you up on the counter. His hands came to rest atop your thighs, a sluggish smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Don't care baby. I missed ya."
Heartfelt giggles, warm smiles and chit-chat; Chuya's lips brushing against your jawline, peppering feathery kisses along the expanse of your neck. It felt good, so good to be with him again.
"Say darling, wanna go back to bed? It's still quite early." he spoke, his voice a tender whisper.
"Sure babe. Lemme just grab my coffee ok? I want some sugar in it."
As you got off the counter your boyfriend licked his fingers- sinking them in the small sugar container behind you- then brought them to your lips. You instinctively opened your mouth, allowing him to slip his digits inside; the saccharine crystals melting like snowflakes on your tongue.
Chuya hummed in satisfaction, removing his slender fingers from your mouth "Sweet enough for you?" he teased before leaning in to press a kiss to your sugary lips.
You only nod in response, cold fingers entangling in your boyfriend's scarlet locks as you deepened the kiss. Soon enough you both returned to the bedroom; the steaming cup of coffee left to cool down on the counter; completely forgotten.

Hey, not op for this ask. But what about a part 2 the alien thing?
Maybe they run that experiment to see how long soap can go? Maybe using "instruments" to test reactions to different sensations or sensory input?
I love your work, you've introduced me to so many different pairing, and the range for the au's are *chefs kisses*
Oh I can definitely do that! So many people have asked and I'm so glad they liked my little alien thing!
Part 1
Ghost didn't let them out of bed. He kept dragging them back and tucking back into the sheets. It was only when the time hit for breakfast being served that he relaxed his grip on them.
Roach quickly got up and got dressed, gently scolding Ghost for being so cuddly. He kissed his forehead and pulled his mask up. Ghost's tail lashed and he hugged Soap a little tighter to his chest.
Soap seemed fine with it, twisting in his arms and pressed his face into Ghost's neck. He hugged him for a moment before they both pulled away.
They got dressed and went about their day normally. Bumping into each other and sharing glances.
Ghost did delete the footage of him carrying them out. He also found himself waiting for the night with an almost obsession. Soap was deliciously soft. Roach was amazing and he made his head spin with want to be near, but Roach didn't see him the same way and... maybe Soap could.
Especially if he showed him how good of a mate he could be.
Ghost was sure Roach would be thrilled to observe their mating customs.
So that night, he brought Soap food for dinner, watching him closely. Soap had brought both of them bracelets made of little intertwined vines. Ghost could see where the flowers had been stripped from his so the vines could be tied tighter. The knot had been twisted and turned to blend it into the bracelet, giving it the look of an infinite braid. He was dazzled by the craftmanship.
Roach gasped softly at it, his eyes full of stars. Ghost hated that his heart jerked a little. Both of them were just too damn pretty and it got on his nerves that he could just have both of them.
After his species had branched out, harems were actually normal. At least, in the beginning. He remembered seeing a friend of his grab up a few creatures from a planet they had raided and spend months courting them. Ghost had thought it was pathetic at the time. Seeing someone he knew as strong and powerful padding after these scared creatures. Only one of them ended up accepting his offer and the others were "Sent home". Even though his friend put them on a ship to their home world, Ghost doubted they ever made it.
Unmated prey animals on a ship? They were probably eaten in minutes.
He imagined if Soap had been one of them. Ghost would've probably courted him too. Followed him around like a shadow and gave him food, begged for his attention.
Exactly like he was doing now.
Ghost sighed and Roach noticed. "Something wrong?"
"I'm fine." He said, touched the bracelet again. "I really like it, Soap."
Soap smiled at him, ears perking up. "Thank you. I heard humans have a ritual called friendship bracelets."
"Yes, it's mostly done by the juveniles of our species, but I really like it." Roach traced one of the vines, looking enraptured.
After dinner, Roach tried to get them to his lab. "Soap, can I run a few more tests on you?”
Ghost could smell the spike in hormones and see the way his spine straightened and his tail twitched.
"Yes, sir."
"Undress. I'm curious, about how many times can you finish before you can't anymore?"
Soap undressed himself, shy and blushing. It didn't match his normal demeanor but it looked nice. Once all of his clothes were neatly folded, his anxiety and arousal sky high, did he finally answer the question. "I don't know."
Roach smiled at him. "Do you want to find out?"
Soap whimpered.
They tied him up and gave him a safe word "Friday" to say if it hurt or got to be too much. Ghost couldn't help himself and happily took advantage of the situation to litter his neck in bites. Giant ones that would take forever to heal and looked pretty. He did all of this while Roach checked to see how a "vibrator", Ghost thought of it as the cursed object, made Soap react.
The wail it got from him and the thrashing pleased Roach. He wrote down the results as he trailed it up and down Soap's cock, making a line to signify that Soap just came.
Soap strained against his binds and looked at Ghost with giant baby blues. "Can you kiss me like yesterday?"
Ghost almost smashed their lips together in his haste. He licked into his mouth to claim every bit. Each time Soap came, Roach would let off a symphony of praise that had Soap almost shaking out of his skin.
The buzzing did not stop but it did move and Soap sobbed once it was inside his body. He was so sensitive there and the vibrator didn't care.
Ghost ran his claws over Soap's tummy, watching him jerk and then press up into him, almost cutting himself. He noticed little markings around Soap's hips. He put his hands over them and realized they were bruises from last night.
Roach tapped Soap's thigh. "Darling, can you do anymore?" Big brown eyes. He kissed Soap's stomach, ignoring the mess.
Soap trembled and nodded. "I can, it's just not quite enough."
Ghost pressed the bruises and watched Soap come all over Roach's face. Roach laughed and wiped it off, only to run his tongue over it. He noticed Ghost staring and shrugged.
"He tastes sweet."
Ghost's tail lashed side to side as he watched. He snatched Roach up and bent him over next to Soap. The surprised look on his face was all the warning he needed and he quickly put his hand over the back of his neck so he wouldn't wiggle away. He expected a little pushback, but Roach just grabbed Soap and arched his back.
Ghost yanked his pants down and noticed he was already slicked up. Roach wouldn't meet his eye, too red and embarrassed. He buried his hand in Roach's hair and pushed in.
Tight.
Hot.
Human.
It was all Ghost could think of as he fucked Roach. He kept an eye on Soap, not wanting to neglect either of them.
Hopefully Roach was keeping count though because Ghost wasn't.
Ghost kept the pace rough and fast, using Roach like a toy. His hand moved from his hair to his throat and he tightened his grip when he was fully in so Roach would tighten out of panic.
"Good boy. Both of you doing so well." Ghost cooed and he reveled in the mix of sobs and whimpers he got.
Roach came while sobbing into Soap's chest. The only thing that kept him up was Ghost's hands.
Soap shakily said "Friday" and Ghost quickly took the cursed object out of him. He twitched and moaned in relief, looking ruined but a lot more lucid than yesterday. Ghost tightened his grip on Roach more and propped him up more.
"So powerful and scary and smart until you're the one getting railed huh?" Ghost purred. "You see, Soap, that's the thing about Roach. A firm hand and he melts."
Roach struggled, probably planning on protesting those claims, but Ghost hit just the right spot and the thoughts left his head. He couldn't hide his face anywhere, forced to let both of them see him. It was hard to feel shame when Soap was looking at him like that. Roach reached his limit right as Ghost came in him. He let him finish before tapping him, signifying he couldn't take it anymore.
Ghost scooped them both up and took them to his quarters with much less complaints this time. They washed up and laid in bed.
"You okay, Johnny?" Ghost asked. Roach was still floating, so he left him alone for now.
Soap hummed. "I don't think the experiment was very effective. I think it's better with you and Roach. More intense." He smiled at Ghost, looking him dead in the eyes. They both realized it at the same time and Soap went to turn away, but Ghost grabbed his chin and made him keep looking.
"Are you scared?"
"No."
"Do you want to be mates?"
"What??"

A Hairy Eulogy
Written with permission from @n6918
The next afternoon, Jaune was wandering around the Academy. He and Team RWBY had left the EverAfter the evening before and arrived just as the sun set.
When they were finally able to reach Shade, Jaune was amazed to see how packed it was. So many people from all the other kingdoms had come.
On one hand, many of the locals were struggling to be around those from Atlas, Vale, and Mistral - tensions between them and the Vecchians were rather high, especially after the war.
But on the other hand, he was glad so many people had gotten Ruby's message and taken it seriously; even Saphron and Terra came with Adrian.
He had gotten an earful from her since he hadn't told the full truth, but it warmed his heart to see his family again, and he promised to keep them out of harm's way.
As he wandered, he noticed the doors to one of the big rooms had been shut. He remembered seeing these ones open yesterday.
'Hello?' He wondered, 'What do we got over here?'
Jaune put his ear to the door, and heard what he could only describe as a wedding march.
'Can people get married at the academies?' He didn't know that until now.
Jaune pushed it open slightly, just enough to see inside. What he saw left him very perplexed.
It was dark inside, save for a spotlight aimed at a podium near the front of the room. Team RWBY were there, as well as Ren, Nora, Oscar, and Emerald. Weiss's sister, brother, and mother were with them too, and so was their butler.
Everyone faced away from the entrance, and so didn't see that Jaune had found them.
"Wha-" he wanted to ask.
Weiss stepped up to the podium, and everyone sat down.
"Dearly beloved." She began grandly, "My Friends. Family. And Ruby."
"Whu- HEY!" Ruby pouted.
Everyone laughed. Weiss hid a giggle behind her dainty hand.
"Oh, come on!" Ruby stamped the ground from her seat,
"Right, right, excuse me." Weiss recovered, "That was very mean of me, and I'm sorry, I won't do it again- moving on!"
"Not funny, Bro." Ruby pushed her lips out.
"We are gathered here this afternoon," Continued Weiss, "Ahem, in the sight of the Gods . . . And the enhanced hearing of our fun-loving-four-eared-friend, Blake-"
"PFFT- shit!" Blake covered her mouth and turned away.
Yang threw her head back to laugh and fell off the bench.
"Ooh, look at me, aren't I being funny?" Weiss sounded amused,
"Get on it with it already!" Nora hollered,
"Okay-okay! Okay." Weiss cleared her throat, "We are gathered here today, on this, most dreadful occasion. To mourn the absolute loss of our Dear friend, Jaune Arc's beard."
Jaune accidentally banged his head against the door.
"The fuck?" He stumbled in and carefully shut the door behind him.
Somehow, no one had noticed. Yang's mouth fell open and her eyebrows lowered as she got off the floor.
"Whu- dude." She took her seat and her eyelids lowered too, "Is this seriously what you dragged us all here for?"
"Yes." Weiss didn't even hesitate,
"Oh- Weiss, honestly." Winter looked disappointed, "I was meant to have a meeting with the Ace-Ops this afternoon, I cleared my schedule for you."
"I- I think our little Snowflake has something important to say about this." Klein interjected kindly, his eyes turned from brown to yellow, "Go on, my dear. What about losing this Jaune's beard has you so upset?"
"Thank you Klein." Weiss smiled at him, "as I was saying-"
"Uh, hold-up!" Interrupted Ruby, "Weiss, are you sure this is a good idea?"
"What do you mean?" Weiss raised an eyebrow,
"Well, like," Ruby tried to find the words, "Is this really something we need to cry about?"
"I still don't follow." Weiss shook her head,
"Dude, it's a frikken beard!" Yang found the words quite easily, "It's not like we need to have a ceremony for it!"
'. . . Thank you?' Jaune wasn't sure how to feel,
"Again, you seriously dragged us here to talk about that?" Yang put her hands on her hips,
"Well, how couldn't I?" Weiss threw her arms up, "I needed to talk to someone about this! Preferably a group of people. I mean, it's a completely, criminally rotten shame he doesn't have it anymore!"
"And that wolf tail too." Blake purred quietly, wiping her nose with a loud sniff,
"You see?" Weiss pointed to her teammate, "She understands!"
"Wait-a-moment, now I'm confused." Whitely raised his hand, "Were you friends with some one named Jaune, or were you friends with his beard?"
"Eughhh . . ." Winter shivered in her seat, "Whitley, please. Don't talk like that."
"Why not?" Whitely was genuinely puzzled,
"The picture it paints isn't one I'm interested in seeing." Winter didn't miss a beat,
"I beg your pardon?" Whitely still didn't understand, "I just want to know who we're holding this funeral for . . . And if I should feel sorry for, um, whomever we're talking about."
"Why is that important?" Winter blushed and wrinkled her nose,
"Well, I'd feel quite offended if someone mourned something so superficial about me." Whitely reasoned, "It'd be like if we held a ceremony for your hair before you dyed it white."
"You dye your hair?" Nora leaned over to see.
Winter glared at her little brother.
'No one was supposed to know.' She thought.
"I'd like to know whether we should do this for your father." Remarked Willow, "I think I prefer the idea of celebrating his mustache rather than the man himself."
The two considered.
"It is what he deserves at the moment." Whitely conceded,
"I like the sound of that as well, Mother." Winter nodded, then she turned back to the podium, "By the way, which one is Jaune again?"
Jaune's stared and gaped. He couldn't tell if Winter was being sarcastic or if she really didn't know, but regardless, he didn't like that at all.
'I'm so glad the first time I broke you a twenty was also the last time I ever broke you a twenty.' He thought grumpily, 'I worked with you for six months, and you don't even know my name? You literally ditched me in the Central Location like three days ago!'
Suddenly.
"BARK-BARK-WOOF-WOOF-LOOK-AT-HIM!" Nora did her best impression of an excited chihuahua, "HE'S SO HANDSOME AND COOL HERE!!
By now, Weiss had brought up a projected image of The Rusted Knight's true face. Jaune slapped his thigh, he was shocked but mostly confused.
'Who took that and when?!' He wanted to shout.
The picture Weiss used wasn't very flattering. It showed a very frantic Jaune, with his hand on Juniper's snout. His hair looked good, and it captured his beard nicely, but he had been a total mess there.
Tumblr media
The look in his eyes did nothing to help.
That this was even happening made no sense.
Where was team SSSN when you needed time to bond with the bros over things we all understood?
"Thanks to Ruby," Weiss was still oblivious to Jaune being there, "the Visage has permanently been made immortal. And you have my eternal gratitude."
All eyes, except for Blake, turned to Ruby, who didn't look the least bit ashamed.
"My beastly bestie glowed up so good!" Ruby insisted, "Everyone deserves to know it! Look at him! LOOK AT HOW GOOD HE LOOKS!"
Blake hadn't taken her eyes off the picture; she didn't need a second telling. She was practically drooling, but interestingly, Yang wasn't very upset about that.
"Well said, I concur." Weiss nodded.
And the others murmured their agreement.
"What's he putting his hand on there?" Emerald tilted her head, "Is that a deer or like an elk, or something?"
"Oh, it's so cute." Oscar smiled,
"Look at those beautiful eyes!" Added Willow,
"That was Juniper." Explained Weiss, "The Rusted Knight's faithful jackalope."
"I WANNA RIDE THE BUNNY!" Nora shouted suddenly,
"Phrasing . . ." Ren sighed and clapped his forehead,
"As far as this creature is concerned," Put-in Winter, "head-pats and ear-scritchies are of the highest order."
"Wait, the who?" Whitely stuck his pinky in his ear and wiggled it out with a pop, "I can't have heard that right. Who's jacks-a-lot did you say-?"
"You heard me correctly, Whitely." Said Weiss, "Juniper is a jackalope, and she belonged to the Rusted Knight."
She smirked broadly.
"Whose hand is on her snout in the picture." She added.
"Wait, what?" Ren perked up,
"Our friend Jaune is, in fact," Weiss said proudly, "The Rusted Knight from the beloved children's story: The Girl Who Fell Through The World."
Everyone but Team RWBY reacted.
"No . . ." Emerald gaped, "You're lying."
"But-!" Winter looked like she might lose her mind, "But the Rusted Knight was an older man! I thought you said this Jaune was a friend of yours from Beacon?!"
"I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!!" Nora was thrilled, her eyes sparkled like polished gemstones, "I KNEW I HAD A REASON FOR CALLING HIM FEARLESS LEADER!! AND EVERYBODY DOUBTED ME!"
"But how?" Ren was more impressed, "That story was written almost two hundred years ago."
"Wait, that story was real?" Weiss knew she had Oscar's and Ozpin's full attention now,
"Indeed," She said, "The Girl Who Fell Through The World is, as it turns out, a true story. But certain events were either written out or altered to tell a much better one for children."
The others all wanted to know more, but Weiss quickly hushed them.
"As I'm sure this picture clearly shows," She said grandly, "Jaune's beard truly was a beautiful thing. The edges were a bit crooked, and the corners were somewhat unkempt, but it was thick~ and full~."
Jaune furrowed his brow.
'Am I hearing this right?' He was sure he couldn't be.
"The strands of grey mixed in with his blonde hair," Weiss seemed lost in her own little world now, "like veins of silver lost amid a field of gold, forever twirled and twined like clouds in the early morning sky."
Still looking at the picture, the others appraised his look, like critics at an unveiling. Although, none of them could remember a time when the sky appeared gold.
"And lest I dare myself to neglect," Weiss added quickly, "the way it shaped his~ beautiful face~."
Again, the others collectively agreed.
'Wait a sec, my beautiful face?' Jaune couldn't believe it, '. . . This woman is on drugs.'
"To summarize for those of you who are lost in my explanation, because I know that's possible now." Weiss paused impressively, "Jaune's beard was a hot, sexy thing, and it deserved its own article and three-page-spread in a Reader's Wives magazine."
"Why do you know what those are?" Ren was smirking.
"By the Gods . . ." But Weiss hadn't noticed, "Just looking at it had me weak in the knees and positively dripping~! I'm so sure that if I'd taken my panties off and gagged Yang with them, I could've shut her up for once."
"Ew." Ruby grimaced.
"PFFFFFT!" Blake palmed her face and tried not to laugh,
"Dude, I dare you to try that." Yang didn't think it was funny, "I dare ya, I just dare ya!"
Whitely had clamped his hands over his ears.
"I DON'T NEED TO HEAR MY SISTER TALKING LIKE THIS!" He nearly shouted.
Winter and Willow started weeping. Though for very different reasons.
"I can't believe my sister would speak in such a manner!" She gasped and hiccupped, "It's- it's . . . It's undignified! She used to be so precious!!"
"My darling girl is growing up!" Willow dabbed her eyes with a handkerchief, "I'm so proud of you my dear!"
Klein just stared blankly and his eyes turned pink. He wasn't sure if he should laugh or cry. And when he decided to do anything, he promptly fainted.
Whitely caught him just in time, Ren and Oscar gave him a hand too, and they laid Klein down on a free bench.
"In closing," Weiss finished, putting the picture away, "I wish to say this. Fare thee well, oh glorious beard and tail! You shall be sorely missed-"
The spotlight went out, and darkness filled the room.
"Agh!" Shrieked Ruby, "I'm blind!"
Winter and Ren readied their weapons.
"Who's there?!" Demanded Weiss, "How dare you interrupt-"
"Okay, I've heard just about enough." Jaune's voice boomed from the back of the room.
The main lights turned back on.
Weiss saw Jaune and screamed for a second before calming down.
"Oh, hi Jaune!" She tried, desperate to save face, "I- um . . . How are you doing?"
"Well enough to know that I could have a three-page-spread in Dazzle." Jaune smirked.
The colour drained from Weiss's face, which Yang, Blake, and Ruby thought looked hilarious. They didn't think her skin could get any lighter.
Dazzle was a popular Health and fitness magazine, and it often showcased some of the best, most physically attractive people on Remnant.
Yang mentioned once that Weiss sometimes read them, but only when she needed . . . Inspiration.
"Oh." Weiss anxiously bit her lip, "Um, I see . . . Uhm . . . Wh- we- huhhh . . "
She took a deep breath and bit the bullet.
"How much of that . . ." She asked, "how much of that did you hear?"
Jaune was still smirking.
"I came in at around the 'Dearly beloved' bit." He answered.
Weiss's pupils dilated.
"Ah- . . . Ha . . ." Was all she could say.
Jaune's smirk became a smile.
"I'm not upset, just so you know." He told her.
"Ohhhh . . ." Weiss buried her face in her hands, "Gods, I've made such a fool of myself . . ."
"If nothing else, I just think it's funny." Jaune crossed his arms and cocked an eyebrow, "I didn't know I affected you like that."
"I thought you said you didn't think you had an affect at all!" Called Nora,
"I do now, apparently!" Jaune called back,
"Please stopppp." Weiss begged, raising her head, "Look, I'm sorry. I mean it, I am-!"
"Hey."
Jaune put his thumb on her chin, tilting her head up to look her in the eye. Weiss stopped at once.
"I forgive you." He said simply.
And for the third time since they'd met up again, Jaune have her a hug. Weiss's strength returned, and she threw her arms around him, squeezing tightly.
Everyone cooed as they watched.
"But you know," He reminded her, " I could always just grow my beard out again-"
Weiss jerked back in his arms.
"YES!" She didn't even hesitate and blushed when she realised what she'd done, "Uh- ahem! Please. Yes. Please. Please do."
Jaune wheezed and laughed.
“YOOOOOOOOOO-!!” Ruby, Yang, and Emerald laughed too, none of them could believe their ears.
"Okay, okay." Jaune recovered, silencing the crowd, "I'll grow my beard out again."
"EEEEEEEEEEE!" Weiss balled her hands into fists and jittered excitedly on the spot.
Blake was excited, too, and was bouncing in her seat with glee. Once again, Yang, surprisingly, didn't seem to mind. She just smiled.
"But if we want to do this right . . ." Now Jaune bit his lip, "I gotta ask you something."
He dropped down on one knee and took Weiss's hand in his.
Everyone gasped.
Was this happening?
"Weiss Seraphim Winona Schnee." Jaune proposed, "Will you do me the honor . . . of signing a prenup with me?"
The mood died at once. Strangely, Ren was the only one doing his very best not to laugh out loud.
"What?!" All the girls except for Weiss shouted,
"Wh-. Ah- eh- m, what." Weiss fumbled,
"There's always a catch." Winter sighed, shaking her head, "And Seraphim is my middle name!"
"Lousy blood-sucker." Muttered Willow,
"I'm surprised you know what that is." Realised Ruby.
For those who don't know, a prenup, or prenuptial is an agreement made between two people before marriage. It establishes either the husband's or wife's rights to property and support in the event of divorce or death.
Somehow, it rubbed the girls the wrong way, knowing Jaune would want one. Ruby, and Yang especially. They both knew there was no escaping death; they had lost their mother after all.
What they didn't like was the idea of planning for a separation.
Something about that felt . . . Underhanded.
"Listen, Momma raised a smart boy." Jaune liked to pretend he was, "If we really wanna do this, then I think we both deserve a little security. Don't you think?"
Now, Weiss was a practical woman, and she agreed that security was important. She pursed her lips together.
"Ahhhhugh fine," she sighed reluctantly, then thought carefully and clicked her tongue, "how about . . . Ten-thousand lien a month for you to stay by my side, that fair?"
"Well, I was thinking of- you whaaAATT??" Jaune stared at her in utter disbelief,
"What?" Weiss was surprised,
"You- you're kidding me, right?" Jaune recovered with a shake of his head, "ten-thousand?"
"What? What's wrong with that??" Weiss was very confused, "Is it not enough-"
"Weiss, are you trying to buy me or marry me?" He quickly stopped her,
"Ah-" Weiss paused,
"Ah-" Ren, Blake, and Yang paused,
"Ah-" Willow, Winter, and Whitley inhaled sharply through their teeth,
"Ooh . . ." Ruby winced, "Yeahhhh, you- you wouldn't have to pay him to do that . . ."
Weiss felt very ashamed of herself. She must have sounded a lot like her father just then. Throughout her entire speech, in fact.
Jaune's mouth morphed into a teasing smile and Weiss saw it.
"But-" She tried, "But you said-"
"I was joking," Jaune soothed her, "I don't really want a prenup. Are you THAT serious?"
By now, Weiss's face had turned incredibly pink. Any pinker, and she might pass out.
Yang leaned over to Blake.
"It's weird seeing him tease people like this." She whispered.
"Mm-hm." Blake agreed.
"Well . . ." Weiss tried again, "I . . . We've both done a lot of growing since we met at Beacon."
"Well, yeah . . ." Jaune nodded, sheepish.
"And . . . I can see now, with the benefit of foresight . . . And . . . hindsight, I suppose . . ." Weiss admitted, "that I'd be quite happy to share a future with you."
"Foresight and hindsight?" Jaune cocked an eyebrow again.
Weiss was about to speak again, but her thoughts were cut short, however, as a loud voice broke through the building tension.
"Oh, NOW you like him." Nora wasn't impressed.
Weiss jumped.
"Well?" Nora leaned in expectantly, pinching her fingers together and shaking her hand, "Speak-a da Basic! Do you like Jaune-Jaune for Jaune-Jaune, or because you know how sexy he's gonna be when he's your mom's age?"
"A-And- and what if I do?" She tried not to look embarrassed, "I'm grown up enough to admit when I'm wrong. Or- when I have been."
"Ah- excuse me," Willow raised her hand, "I'm not nearly that old."
No one argued that.
Nora put her hands on her hips and shook her head.
"Listen, Weissy, if you didn't like his goofball-hero era, then you don't deserve him as a full-blown DILF." She proclaimed, as if it were ancient wisdom, "I don't care if you don't think you're marrying him for the beard or not, ya gots ta earn the rights to it."
"Nora . . ." Jaune couldn't be angry,
"Look, I'mma be honest," Nora said, turning to him, "You know I've always thought you were hot, but if the chips were down and we didn't have Ren, I'd've totally gone out with you."
Everyone stared at Ren, who nodded.
"It was mutual." He said plainly,
". . . Seriously?" Jaune was touched,
"With or without the beard." Nora smiled, "You're still our Jaune."
Behind everyone, Oscar was just confused.
"Wait-wait-wait, I still don't get it." He scratched his head, "What does the beard have to do with it?"
He came from a certain part of Mistral where beards were considered hard on the eyes, especially if they weren't trimmed properly.
Emerald gave him a pitying look and patted his cheek like an over-concerned aunt.
"Eh, I'll tell you about it when you're older, sweetie." She promised.
Oscar blushed. He wasn't sure how to feel about being called 'sweetie' by Emerald of all people.
Jaune, meanwhile, was blushing too and had looked away.
"Daaaaammnn." He fidgeted, "You got me twirlin' my hair and-"
Jaune reached up, and remembered.
"Oh yeah . . ." He wrinkled his forehead, "The haircut."
Everyone laughed again, even Jaune. Looking out at the sea of smiling faces, from friends both old and new, he felt happy for the first time in years.
It was great to be back to his old self again.

ep 5 : the meeting (1) — note ¹ : hi loves ~ i had to separate this episode in two parts otherwise the episode would end up being too long ) : a bit of a cliffhanger but tomorrow hopefully you'll have the second part of it ! <3 that's everything hope you enjoy, reposts and feedback is welcomed here as i always say 🤲🏻 wc : 1.9k
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
— 'He is mad fine' Minju said looking through the window of Yunah's bedroom that was facing the backyard of their house, where the boys where.
All the girls were already at Yunah's, Y/n was the only one missing. When Yunah told them about the Jungwon issue they decide to met a bit earlier to talk about everything.
— 'Respect your best friend a bit will you' Moka answered, joking obviously. She was sitting on the floor in between Minji's legs who was sitting on the bed.
— 'Both of you, that's enough, you guys are creepy' Yunah said to the two girls, Hanni and Minju, that were still looking through the window. Both of them turned around and sat on the floor sliding their backs slowly through the window.
— 'How is Y/n going to react? i'm kind of scared actually' Moka asked looking at their friend's faces. All of them were pretty intrigued about you finding out that your crush was actually one of Jay's best friends.
— 'Think positive babe' Minju spoke 'we have now more possiblity of getting them together if you are actually planning on going that, hopefully they will see each other more often' All of them nodded their head at Minju's words.
At that moment the bell of the front door rung.
You were standing in the front door, looking at your feets waiting for your best friend to open up.
Soon after you heard the door cracking meaning that they finally opened it for you.
— 'Thank god you finally op-' your words got caught on your throat when you looked up, just now realizing who was the one who opened the door for you.
Him, your crush.
Your mouth felt open and your cheeks where tinted with a red hue. — 'W-What are you doing here' you asked him — 'I have the exact same question for you' he answered. Both of you were standing face to face, unable to move.
He was so confused but a small part of him was glad to see you again, that warm feeling appearing on his stomach once again while checking you from head to toes.
On the other hand you were a nervous wreck. The universe must hate you because since the first time you saw him he appears everywhere, no matter where you were he is always there.
— 'This is my best friend house, s-she lives here with his older brother' you shuttered. — 'Yunah must be your best friend then, in my case i'm friends with Jay, he invited us over' he giggled.
— 'Y/n?' someone called you from inside the house. Jungwon looked back and step away the door so you can enter. You came inside the house and stood next to him trying to find the owner of the voice that called you a second ago.
— 'You are finally here'. Looking at the stairs you found your group of best friends standing there.
Moka came running down the stairs and stood right in front of you. — 'We were waiting for you' She took your hand in hers and pulled you with her towards the stairs — 'Bye Jungwon' she waved at him and start going up to Yunah's room while you followed her, the rest of your group were right ahead.
Jungwon ... That's his name ... Such a pretty name for a pretty boy like him. You smiled.
Jungwon watched as all of you went up the stairs. He couldn't take his eyes of you, a smile plastered on his face.
When he first opened the door he swears to god that his heart stopped beating for two seconds, you looked completely breathtaking.
He couldn't take out of his mind the image of you looking back at him with a smile on your face while going up the stairs. He started feeling his face getting hotter and he confirmed that when he looked at himself in the mirror.
His cheeks where tinted in a slightly red color. He was blushing and all because of you.
What was actually happening to him ?

Bravern ep 9 first impressions
this ep got stuff confirmed even as it raises more questions... sooo intrigued to know what happens next and how they're gonna wrap the story up in 3 eps!
spoilers under the cut
to nobody's surprise, Lewis Smith is Bravern. The Smith = Bravern theory had been going strong since ep 3, so it's nice to finally get a confirmation. And Bravern is technically an amalgamation of Smith and Cunnis, so you can bet the time/space powers are gonna come back in play later down the line (so far we've only explicitly seen Bravern traveling back to ep 1 to save Isami and the rest of the base). I wonder if Bravern's final act is gonna be giving Smith his human form back by manipulating space-time, or if Bravern is gonna stay a mech
What *was* surprising to me was the fact that Hiro (the guy who got blown up 7 times last ep????) was just. fine, only a bit banged up. give me back my tears!!! At least the guy who got warped to outer space seemed to stay dead. I'm glad named characters are fine, but it does feel a little cheap to undo their deaths with no explanation—
except. I did say Bravern has space-time powers, didn't I? Eagle-eyed Japanese fans have pointed out there are several events that seem slightly different between each time we see them (for example, Smith's turtle convo on the beach the night he found Lulu is different in ep 2 and ep 3). So... what if each episode is technically on a different timeline, and Bravern is save scumming to get the 'golden ending'? Like, if Bravern wasn't there in ep 1, it would've been game over for humanity, so Bravern went back in time to be there/fight alongside Isami; Lulu might've been used up by Superbia instead of being rescued in ep 2, so Bravern went back to make sure Superbia spits Lulu out and/or have Lulu be discovered by Smith etc etc. With this in mind, it's very possible that the timeline where Hiro was blown up just... didn't happen in this version of events, making Smith and that poor schmuck who got warped into space the only casualties of the battle with Cunnis. (And the injuries of the other Brave Knight members also seem different between last ep and this ep.)
onto other things: the gattai was awesome! (the fact that there's the plane to gattai with in the first place also makes me think we're in different timelines, but could've also just forgot about the plane) I also think its great how this episode's title drop is a direct contract to last episode's in terms of tone/mood—Smith's "yuuki bakuhatsu/Brave Bang" in ep 8 were his last words after performing a heroic sacrifice, and this ep's "Yuuki Bakuhatsu Bang Bravern" signals a triumphant victory. Also Bravern = "brave burn" = yuuki bakuhatsu was so flippin awwsome! I do think Isami's change in attitude was kinda quick though, unless we're seeing a minor time jump/different timeline again...
I'm also excited to see where the Superbia-Lulu plot is going, and how that connects to the long-haired Lulu with a Superbia-esque pendant in the OP. I don't have enough info the guess whether the woman in the OP is a grown up Lulu, or Lulu from another timeline, or some other Lulu entirely.
I'm also waiting to see if we get more of Smith's past? We did get new information this ep, but it was not as sad/tearjerky as the director implied...? Maybe there's something sadder down the line, or maybe I'm just too heartless lmao

Report of CLAMP’s Twitter Space ~ May 5th, 2023 (part concerning Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card)
On May 5th, CLAMP opened two Twitter Spaces, one as a late celebration of Ohkawa's birthday and one as an "afterparty", dedicating this second one both to the Holic stage play and Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card. Actually, the mentions of Sakura-related stuff started already in the first Space, so I'm going to write the report starting from that one!
The first mention of anything CCS related is past halfway the first Space, when a question from a fan prompted CLAMP to talk about their current favorite Sakura costumes! (It seems one of them - I think it was Mokona - was about to speak about a certain costume and Ohkawa interrupted her, laughing: "That's too soon!! That's a spoiler! 😂" what a tease!) For Satsuki, her favorite costume is the classic cat one with the apron, from Clow Card Arc (side note, it seems she still had a strained back and that's also the reason why they couldn't celebrate with a Space on the actual day of Ohkawa's birthday), while for Nekoi it's the costume with shorts and diamond shapes all over it from the Clow Card Arc (when she had to sneak into a museum). For Mokona it's the bat-themed coat she had designed for the manga chapter (Sakura Card Arc) when Sakura went out with a fever, and she wore over her pajama this coat Tomoyo made her to keep her warm. Lastly, for Ohkawa it's the costume from volume 3 / the Clear Card anime OP, even though she knows it's one of the most complex ones (but she loves that it mixes both cuteness and a more mature vibe)! If she had to choose a simpler one, then it would be the classic Clow Card anime OP! Mokona also mentioned the fan favorite frog costume from Clear Card Arc, which it seems got a very slight criticism by Ohkawa because it looked too "childish", but Mokona was glad that in the end they used it anyway. Ohkawa actually explained that what she meant was more how it looked too "simple" and more reminiscing of a raincoat than a proper costume. And this is when the first interesting info comes!
A fan indicated the costume of chapter 36/37 of Clear Card as one of their favorite, and Ohkawa confirmed that they got a lot of praises for that....and then...
Tumblr media
Ohkawa: This will become slightly spoilerish, but there is actually a reason why Sakura didn't wear (officially) this costume yet! 😉 Please stay tuned!
A few minutes later, a fan asked Ohkawa about what is usually “the driving force” that pushes her forward when she’s writing her stories. Ohkawa replied: “The end. The end is what’s most important to me. Even in Clear Card Arc’s case, the only reason why I’m doing it is because of the finale, that I decided right away and came to me like a spark. When that doesn’t happen, I get bored halfway through. To be honest, with Clear Card Arc it’s not even exactly the finale. There’s a certain event I wanted to write for it at all costs. If it wasn’t for that, I would’ve never given the OK to restart ‘CCSakura’ once again.” Nekoi: “So for the sake of the end, the story spun on itself and started once again.”
Another fan asked right after if there was any highlight they are looking forward to for the sequel of the Clear Card anime, and here CLAMP confirmed that the cast of voice actors will of course be the same! So they said that’s certainly a highlight. They also mentioned how the peak of the story will come all in the part that’s going to be portrayed in the anime from now on, so all of that is another highlight in itself. Ohkawa looks forward to hear Sakura Tange as Sakura once again. Then, talking about the source material for a moment: Ohkawa: “It took a long time, and we’ve been told that the story is kinda boring, but please trust me. They tell me I take long time to reveal all the “tricks” beneath the story but there’s a reason for that. Just wait a little more~ 😊”
Mokona mentioned that she personally looks forward to see how the director (Asaka, I guess) will portray the world inside the book where the kids go to halfway though the play (She’s talking about Clockland, of course 😊). They also wondered how they will portray the Mirror Card and the important role she will have in the later part of the story, Ohkawa in particular said Mirror has always been a very special Card (it’s one of the only 3 who can speak).
This is the content for the first Space! Only a few minutes later, CLAMP opened one more Space to focus on the Holic stage play and to talk about Sakura. Skipping to the Sakura content, a fan asked if Meiling is going to appear in the sequel of the Clear Card anime, since they liked her relationship with Syaoran, particularly the scene where they fought together. Ohkawa: “She won’t probably join a battle, but of course she’s going to appear!” (everyone clapped their hands) Mokona: “The funny thing is, when we started working on the Clear Card manga, I was wondering why Meiling didn’t appear...and then I remembered she was an anime-only character!!😂I had my memories messed up!”
Following that, Ohkawa announced something we were all hoping for as if it were nothing of importance 😂 Ohkawa: “This is something no one cares about, and I know they haven’t announced it for the new anime adaptation yet, but the script writer will be me, Nanase Ohkawa” (everyone clapped) Ohkawa: “It’s really nothing important” Mokona: “It is, instead! Thank you very much!” Mokona: “You’ll be working again with that director…” Ohkawa: “Yep, it’s real. I said I would’ve never written any more anime scripts, all on my own…” Mokona: “But since we’re rooting for you…! 😂” Ohkawa: “I’m saying this just to laugh a bit, but when I write the anime scripts, I enter my ‘nursing care mode’, I just can’t do anything else, I’ll be causing lots of trouble to the other CLAMP members who will have to take care of me...I’ll have to do this job alone, it’s a solo trip! 😅” Mokona: “The Costume design…” Ohkawa: “That’s going to be yours, who else? (to the audience) Mokona-san is going to be in charge of that.”
SO we got three important confirmations (+ the seiyuu cast one in the first Space) for the new anime sequel in the matter of a few minutes!! 😂And all of them are “spoilers”, meaning that none of this has been announced through official channels 😂But they were pretty expected...Ohkawa later in the Space said that she’s perfectly aware that Kodansha will probably get mad at her later for doing that! She said “They’re going to kick my as* right after Golden Week….but it’s okay!” 😆
After this, CLAMP were kind enough to read my message of deep appreciation for the story (Mokona said she wants to go to Italy! I wish conventions planners in Italy could take the hint…! 😂), and Ohkawa made me laugh as usual with her comments about Kaito:
Ohkawa: “This person...doesn’t think something like ‘come on, grow a pair and do the right thing!!’ towards Kaito?” Mokona: “Ah, I think it’s because she actually loves him a lot, at least that’s what it looks like! 😁” Ohkawa: “I see, I’m really grateful then 😁” Mokona: “Kaito-san should really stop messing around, though 😆”
Mokona then remembered that back when the old Sakura anime was airing, they had 2 manga serializations + the anime series to work on at the same time, and her blunt comment was “it was hell, back then”. Ohkawa: “I’m sure there are people out there who would’ve wanted somebody else as scriptwriter...sorry about that, but it’s going to be me! 😅 Actually, I haven’t even asked permission to anyone to announce these things, after all, isn’t it taken for granted at this point? Only me can do it” Mokona: “You’ve been doing this since the beginning, after all”
Ohkawa explained that there are several not-so-small differences between the anime and manga storylines, so the fact that she’s the only one writing the scripts makes everything simpler. She brought up a thing that many fans are interested in, the fact that Nadeshiko’s pendant watch from the manga is actually a key in the anime. If somebody else were to take over at this point, they wouldn’t know how to deal with that difference, because they wouldn’t know why the change was made in the first place. But since Ohkawa is taking care of it, it’s all right! Mokona said that she’s really curious to know what’s going on with Nadeshiko’s key in the anime, and what would be the developments from that. Ohkawa: “You have to trust Sakura-chan for that, not me!” Mokona: “But I believe in your storytelling skills! 😆”
Mokona then said that since the anime and manga storylines end up mixing up in her head, she’s refraining from watching the anime till everything is over. She brought up the example of Meiling of earlier on, and Ohkawa took the chance to express how wonderful the anime adaptation is and how much Meiling is loved by the fans, despite not being present in the manga.
Surprisingly enough, they also mentioned how fastly the season changed in the latest part of the story, jumping suddenly to winter. Satsuki pointed out that for most of the story the season didn’t change at all, and that the seasons actually reflect the situation of the story. When Satsuki said that, I realized it’s really true. And thanks to this comment, I think I might have understood even better why there’s a swallow coming to little wintery Kaito in the color page of chapter 62. Swallows announce the spring, after all… A fan asked a question about the handwritten text that appears in Cardcaptor Sakura, whether it’s Mokona’s real handwriting or it was created that way specifically for the manga (particularly, some kana have a little swirl that makes them cuter). Mokona confirmed that it was created specifically for the manga: in the old series she used to make it more round and cuter, but for Clear Card Arc she realized that a text like that impaired the readability, so she used more straight lines (though in the comedy parts she still tried to make it more rounded, but she admitted that there aren’t that many comedy parts in Clear Card 😅). Another fan sent a message saying they really love Lilie and would like to live with a person like her and Ohkawa was really curious to know what kind of person they thought she is, and what it is they like about her. Mokona: “Maybe she likes her assertiveness, which is very reminiscing of Akiho.”
That was for CLAMP an opportunity to talk about magicians in CLAMP world and how strong magic can distort their personality quite a bit! Mokona wondered if even Lilie is affected by this peculiarity in CLAMP world, since it is a thing (she remembered Momo talked about it in the manga), and in the end they decided to not reveal clearly whether her personality is distorted or not to not spoil the volume-only readers, because it became clear only in the chapter published last month, but invited them to guess the correct answer with a hint: “She became Nadeshiko’s friend, after all”. 😁 They also said that Lilie’s “pushy” nature is an interesting and nice trait of her. That lead CLAMP to make a list of their characters who are considered magicians:
Clow Reed – Yuuko – Fay – Syaoran (CCS) – Yuna D. Kaito – Sakura Kinomoto – Watanuki
and those who haven’t their personality “messed up” are Sakura, Syaoran, Watanuki (they say he’s on the edge, though 😆) and Ohkawa was surprised to find out that it’s almost half of them! Mokona also mentioned King Ashura from Celes country, but Ohkawa reminded her that his powers had severely messed up his personality. Then someone reminded them of Fei Wang, and of course he’s one whose personality was distorted greatly by magic, Mokona commented that the distortion went as far as it could go with him 😅
Ohkawa went further with the topic, telling a fun trivia about powerful magicians with distorted personality. She established that all people with very strong magic powers bear a burden on themselves. Supposed someone were to ask them to act properly in a situation without messing around, they’re people who don’t understand how to do that. They end up thinking 'what a bother, though'. Some of them, among that confusion, make up their own rules and become people like Clow Reed. Others just keep thinking 'it’s a bother, just a bother' and eventually end up thinking 'I don’t give a damn about it': those are the people like Fay or Yuna D. Kaito. 😆
Ohkawa: “Those two had a completely different life, though. Because Kaito had Akiho. So I guess for him it’s a bit different. But if someone were to tell him ‘You, sit down there’ he’d be like ‘Damn, I don’t want to sit down, I want to go back home’. Kaito wouldn’t just ‘sit down’. 😆Fay neither!” Mokona: “Those two are really similar” Ohkawa: “Yet they’ve lead a completely different life. My bad, but in my story Kaito became all ‘what a bore this, what a bore that’ 😅” Mokona: “I guess that can’t be helped for him, because he was severely abused and faced very rough life situations” Ohkawa: “Yeah, that’s right” Mokona: “Fay had Sakura-hime with him, so I wish those parts of him could be tamed for what it’s possible, much like it happened for Kaito with Akiho” Ohkawa: “That would be good, although I don’t know if those parts can ever settle down 😅” Mokona: “Yeah, after all, no one knows what goes through the minds of those magicians 😆”
A fan pointed out that Seishirou could be also included in the list of magicians, but Ohkawa explained he’s more of a shaman than an actual magician and those two shouldn’t be mixed up. It seems the kind of magic they summon is different.
The Space was supposed to end, but then Ohkawa had the sudden idea to ask her colleagues what’s the Card (from any arc) they would want to use the most! For Mokona it’s Fly or Flight (because she’d like to fly like a drone to somewhere, at least once 😆), for Ohkawa it’s Mirror from Clow Card Arc (because she always wanted to have a twin!! No one realized that, sensei), for Satsuki is Create and for Nekoi it’s Lucid (because she’d want to hide in uncomfortable moments 😆).
CLAMP also ended up mentioning, in their chat about the Cards, that it’s sad the Flight Card disappeared, due to its closeness to Sakura and the fact that it’s almost as if this Card had feelings of its own, even more than the old Fly Card.
Ohkawa, throughout the Space, reiterated her request to the fans to keep reading Clear Card’s story till the very end, even if right now they’re thinking ‘I would’ve wanted it to be more like this, instead’ or ‘This isn’t the kind of story I like’. She said in an earlier part of the Space that she’s aware there might be some parts difficult to understand, but that this is at the very core Sakura’s story. For her, as Cardcaptor Sakura’s writer, what makes Sakura the protagonist of this story is the fact that she’s the one deciding what to do within the story. That’s what a main character is for her, even when the “camera” of the storytelling is aiming at someone who’s not the protagonist. She talked to the volume-only readers, saying “If you keep reading and see what Sakura has decided in the next volume, I think you’ll realize just how much she’s grown up”. Mokona agreed, saying that Sakura has always chosen for herself, even in the past arcs.
Ohkawa: “In Cardcaptor Sakura’s story, Sakura always chooses how to take action, so I think it’s ok for me to variate a little bit what kind of main character she’s going to be. My partners Mokona, Nekoi and Sacchan are drawing this story with lots of care, so I’d like for you to keep reading it. Right now volume 14 is out, and when you’ll read it, I’m sure many of you will think ‘Kaito, you…!!! 💢’ 😂” Mokona: “They’re going to feel the same way Momo is feeling 😂”
And here sensei switched to another very important topic.
Ohkawa: “Apparently, the translation abroad is completely different” Mokona: “I guess it’s very difficult to convey the right meaning of some complex words” Ohkawa: “I’ve been told once ‘I just can’t translate it like this’ by the person who’s in charge of the translation. I think it’s great that they still want to try their best with a script like this one.” Ohkawa: “It’s just, you know...I can’t ask people who don’t understand Japanese to read it in our language. Therefore, I’m really grateful that they’re uploading those versions on Youtube, despite the translation being different. Especially with CCSakura right now, if the translation is different, it will end up conveying a different meaning (to the story) 😅(note: her tone right now suggests she’s uncomfortable about this) But still, I’m grateful they’re delivering the chapters to the whole world.” “I’m aware there’s someone (else) who’s writing blog posts about the translation because they feel uncomfortable about those differences, and if you can just look at those, I think it’s already enough. For example, something that really surprised me is how the word わからずや (wakarazuya) cannot be translated properly. (note: she’s referring to the ‘insult’ Momo yells after Kaito before he’s engulfed by the book at the end of chapter 70, and that Lilie mutters in chapter 72). It seems like there isn’t a word to express it. This is really a subtlety, though… There seem to be many words that aren’t perfectly translatable into English. Like 頑張れ!(ganbare!)” Satsuki: “よろしく (yoroshiku) too.” Ohkawa: “That’s right. Or 仕事 (shigoto).” Mokona: “Since the culture is different too, they have to look for a word that’s got the closest meaning to that one.” Ohkawa: “I think the people in charge are really doing their best, but when I’ve heard of (how they translated that word), I didn’t really feel good about it.” (Mokona: “yes, it’s true”). Mokona: “Even the official translation can be wrong! It’s totally understandable” Ohkawa: “I know. I guess translating わからずや is really difficult, but I think you’ll still able to understand it if you consider the feelings of that character in that moment.” Nekoi: “It's more like ‘blockhead’ ” Ohkawa: “When re-translating the word they chose back (in our language), I felt like it got translated into something closer to 馬鹿 (baka).” (note: the ENG used "dolt" which indeed got more of a "stupid" nuance) Mokona: “Ah, that’s not what she meant…” Ohkawa: “And to us, 馬鹿 means something completely different”. (Mokona agrees)
Ohkawa: “Even so, I think it’s still worth uploading the chapters officially on Youtube, so please keep checking them out. At the same time, I’m really grateful to those who point out where (the translation) got it wrong.” Mokona: “There’s really a language barrier!” Ohkawa continued saying that she’s often told by translators that it’s difficult to understand what’s the subject (of a sentence) in her writing. She brought as an example how, to this day, Yue still doesn’t have a personal pronoun he uses to refer to himself, so that makes difficult to establish the subject when he talks. Mokona wondered how the translations abroad are dealing with translating how non-human characters are referring to themselves, when in Japanese they don’t use pronouns such as “ore” or “watashi”. Ohkawa guessed that probably in foreign languages it doesn’t really matter. Despite being really grateful to all the people who are translating her work with care, she expressed lots of interest on this topic and would also like to talk to them freely about this matter, because it’s true that there are parts that are translated differently (note: or wrong, the word used can indicate both).
She extended her gratitude also to people who give their comments and impressions about every single chapter, reading them on Nakayoshi or Youtube, even when those comments are really harsh towards them and their work. Ohkawa: “I’m also very grateful to those who tackle the translation differences every month, saying things like ‘This is not right’ or ‘This is not what they’re actually saying!’” Mokona: “We could call it ‘collective knowledge’, or rather, we could really say this world is built by what everyone is saying, in a collective effort” Ohkawa: “It’s my fault, but since Momo’s wording is a bit difficult to translate, she might have been misunderstood (abroad).”
Changing topic slightly, but always staying in the CCSakura area, Ohkawa reiterated how this is Sakura’s story, and she would like us to read it till the end to witness how Sakura figured out what she can do for someone she’s just met (like Akiho), coming from a position of someone who’s always been protected and guarded by other people till now. She wants us to see how much she’s grown up going through that process. Ohkawa: “Mokona praised a lot the conversation between Sakura and Akiho in the script I’ve written for the latest chapter, which hasn’t been published into volume format yet, so I can’t say much about it…. All four of us are taking good care of portraying properly how both Sakura and Akiho will do what they can, each in their own way, so I really want you to see it.”
While repeating the fact that Ohkawa will be the one writing the scripts for the sequel of the anime, Mokona commented that she really doesn’t think anyone but her can do it. Ohkawa said “I know this myself, but if you’ll end up saying 'This is not ‘Sakura’!' because of the direction it’ll take in the future, well...sorry about that”. She saw some fans commenting in the hashtag that they were happy and relieved that she’s at the script writing again, and Mokona said the same. She was very grateful.
Ohkawa: “Sakura-chan will always be the same Sakura-chan (you’ve known till now). Cardcaptor Sakura is the story of the main character Sakura who will choose for herself what to do within the story.” Mokona: “Please watch carefully Sakura’s choice ❤️”. Ohkawa: “Really...Someone might end up telling Kaito 'Ugh, Kaito, sit down there!' (in reference to the magicians discussion earlier on) 😂” Mokona: “I really think that will happen! 😂 I think so too about him” Ohkawa: “And Syaoran...Syaoran will still have a little role! He really did his best, till now.” Mokona: “It’ll be good if he can get to have a say in this” Ohkawa: “I think he will. Really, everyone is doing their best, so...I really hope you’ll stick around to see it.” In response to a fan comment, saying how they like Sakura’s character because she is who she is, they said “We have no intention to betray that. That’s what makes her the main character and betraying the main character is not okay”. Satsuki mused that Sakura-chan was still an elementary schooler till the other day, she’s worked hard and she’s grown up so much now.
At this point they finally started wrapping the Space up with one last birthday wish for Ohkawa from each CLAMP member, while she jokingly (?) asked everyone to write again “Happy Birthday” in the hashtag. 😂 Mokona wished her the best with the imminent work on the anime scripts (judging by her words, she’ll start as soon as the scripts for the manga will be over), which she could already predict it’ll be a difficult job, even more so than the first time around. Satsuki also wished her to take care of her health since she’ll be very busy from now on, and that she hopes to be able to drink some delicious drinks with her soon. Nekoi expressed her love for her “boss” telling her that she still keeps a hat she got from Ohkawa when they weren’t professional mangaka yet ❤️ Ohkawa: “Do you love me?” Nekoi: “I do, a lot ❤️” Ohkawa: “Thank youuuu! 😂” The last message of course was from the boss herself. She mentioned the end of Clear Card which is imminent, and again invited everyone to watch the story unfolding till the end. She was talking with Nekoi earlier about how even Eriol and Syaoran were really hated while the old arcs were still ongoing: apparently back then, dozens of fans told Kumai-san (Syaoran’s VA) that they hated her because her character was being mean to Sakura! 😂Mokona sounded really apologetic towards Kumai-san and how hard it was on her back then, but she was grateful that she could endure and shake all of that off with a smile😅 Ohkawa said that the same thing happened to Eriol, both for the anime and manga versions, for how he caused trouble (to Sakura) 😆And it’s not over! Ohkawa continued saying that even Nakuru received her good share of hate because she was standing between Touya and Yukito 😂 Mokona yelled her “indignation”, because ‘Nakuru is such a good kid!!’ 😂 and expressed her wish to see more affectionate scenes between her and Yukito, since now they get along as good friends. All things considered, Ohkawa expressed her hope everyone can wait for the end to see things change. Of course, she’s well conscious there’s no 100% guarantee that people won’t hate Clear Card even after it’ll be over, and she’s ok with that. She defined herself a “selfish writer”. 😆 Mokona asked everyone to have a little bit more of patience (implying it’ll be worth it).
“Whether you laugh or cry, whether you want it or not, soon it’ll be over, so please read it till the end” ❤️

Does anyone think about how isolated Fubuki might feel being the only one to keep her memories after rewinding time? Considering the amount of trouble she gets herself into or gets dragged into, ranging from relatively harmless to downright dangerous, how many times did she have to turn back time to save herself or someone else? She can get hurt or find herself in deadly danger, and while her powers can erase that ever having truly happened, they can't erase her memories. Someone could be injured or die on her watch and then just walk and talk to her like nothing ever happened, but she'd still remember. And that's the worst part: she remembers what happened, actually experienced it herself, but it never really happened. Not as far as anyone else is concerned. While she lives with whatever trauma she endured, everyone else remains completely indifferent and the world continues on the same. How alone do you feel living like that?
And it's not even like this all could've just happened before she arrived in Kanai Ward. She literally deals with this a bunch of times in the game. Whenever Yuma screws up in Chapter 3, Yakou being stabbed by the hitman in Chapter 4, that guy that fell from the casino in her DLC-- she has go back to prevent tragedy over and over again, and she only manages to save two of three people mentioned in the end. She had to live through watching Yakou dying, bleeding out on that floor twice, unable to do anything about it twice. Not to mention god knows how many times Yuma almost got them run over or blown into bits when failing to disable the bombs or caught by peacekeepers. Not to mention the two times the casino guy died on her before she unintentionally saved his life (by having him crash land onto her taxi which is already scary enough).
All this would be fucked up on its own, but her really spotty memory isn't doing her any favours at all (hell, her Forte might even be part of the reason she's as scatter-brained as she is). It kinda makes me wonder how she differentiates between what truly happened and what happened before she rewinded time (so what technically didn't happened). If she even can, that is. I would've loved to see a throwaway scene where she randomly mentions something that that only she knows happened or perfectly predicts the very near future only for someone to be like "wtf are you talking about" and brushing it off as typical Fubuki weirdness as a little hint of her Forte before its actual reveal.
Fubuki is pretty strong to deal with all the shit that gets thrown at her and still choose to be as happy and compassionate and optimistic as she is, but I'm so glad she had Yuma to lean on and didn't have to shoulder that burden of knowledge and the physical strain alone, even if it was only for a while. She deserves to finally confide in someone and some mental relief after all the times she didn't have anyone, I think. Her ability may be the most OP one out of everyone, but it's a blessing as much as it is a curse.

Just a preemptive apology for spewing this all in your inbox lol 😅
I agree that this felt like the beginning of the larger conversation about uc. I feel like a lot of this storyline requires patience and that's why some people arent the biggest fans of it lol. It took this long just for Tim to get out of denial about his feelings. It's a pretty big issue so I feel like it would be unsatisfying and boring if all it took was one scene and one conversation to fix it.
Plus from Lucy's perspective, uc is something she's been working towards since she was a rookie (except for in season 4 cause I think the writers forgot lol). So I can imagine it would take a lot for her to drop it completely. Especially with her story before the show being her trying to find a career, it would make sense she would cling to something she likes and is good at. I mean she can still be a detective but detective and uc are probably so intertwined in her mind at this point.
I don't know I just don't think the whole thing is as cut and dry as some people think. I'm excited to see where they go with it in the rest of this season. Especially with all the bts pictures we've gotten and how they may fit into this 👀
To be fair, there's patience and there's "waiting for 3 seasons for this storyline to move forward", if you know what I mean ;) Jokes aside, I feel like I'm one of the few who actually enjoy this arc so, in my case, I'm really glad that we are finally digging into this. It has felt stagnant for quite some time, and for good reasons.
Like you said, it apparently has taken this long for Tim to realise how much in denial he has been… And my guess is, he's not the only one here. I appreciate that this is used as a way by the writers to explain why this conversation has been postponed for so long : after all, Lucy has never made a secret that this was the career she wanted and Tim has encouraged her all along (minus the hiccups at the beginning). He knew that when he said they were worth the risk. So they needed to come up with a valid reason as to why it would be a problem. One that wouldn't invalidate Tim's feelings or decision. And now that this is out in the open, we can hopefully focus on Lucy's side of the story. On whether she is in denial too. On her fears - because I refuse to believe she doesn't have any. I do believe that she loves undercover. But like she admitted herself, she has only done short ops. Ops that sometimes went wrong but without any lasting consequences. So while she probably missed her friends and all during those missions, it's entirely different from missing out on a whole year. I'm not sure she has allowed herself to be entirely honest with herself on the subject.
And that's another thing. Her life has changed quite a lot since she decided to pursue an undercover career. Back then, she was pretty much on her own. But now, she has a family. And she lost her closest friend. Things that tend to make you think differently. I don't mean that she can't have the career that she wants, just that these types of events usually makes one reconsider their plans. In a way, this dream of being a UC has been her constant through all of this. And as someone who struggled for close to a decade to find her dream job, I can understand why she doesn't really question it. Not to mention that time and time again, we have seen how Lucy needs to talk things out in order to process them… And she hasn't been able to do that here. Like when she was offered the spot at the UC Academy. She went to see Nyla but it didn't do much. She needed Tim but with all the baggage between them at the time, she barely got to open up about her feelings. He is her sounding board but in this situation, it makes things more complicated. Her feelings for UC and for Tim are so intertwined that she doesn't know how to unravel this whole web. It is so convoluted together. She always shows some concerns about how it will affect their relationship. But not how it will affect HER. Like in 5.20 when she brushed away Tim's question. That's why I like that Tim's feelings might be out of the way first, so we can dig deeper into Lucy's. She has been so focused on Tim that she has neglected herself in the process. And that's also why I loved Chastity's comment. Because it was thrown casually by someone who is on the outside, and far more objective than the team could ever be. And hopefully, this is what starts an introspection from Lucy.
I don't think the writers necessarily forgot about her wanting to do undercover in s4 : she was at the beginning of her P2 career so it made sense for her to focus on that first. But she was still behind two UC ops. The second one being the catalyst for both her relationship with Tim and her career in UC moving forward. It's also no coincidence that Tim has always been involved in her UC ops. Either on the lookout (3.06 and 5.07), as her case officer (5.21), as the one going undercover under her supervision (4.07 and 4.22) or with her (5.01). The only time he wasn't involved from the get-go was during her first solo op (3.14) and even then, he managed to convince Nyla to keep him in the loop. It gave them a sense of safety. So it would be good to see an undercover mission where they can't keep in touch at all. And IF he is really going undercover for a couple of episodes as we have speculated, it would be interesting to see how it would affect them both to be on the other side of the equation. It would offer them a perspective of what the other would go through. That said, I still hope Lucy get to experience herself what it's like to do a long-ish op before making any decision. This has been her storyline above all. But in any case, I can't wait to see where this is going. (And I'm sorry, I feel like I went off on a tangent here and hijacked your reply lol).

Last Twilight Ep 2 Stray Thoughts
Last week, we set the table and met Mhok and Day. Mhok is a mechanic down on his luck because of his legal troubles, who is looking for work to take care of himself and keep his deceased sister's beloved vehicle. Despite his past, he's trying to stay away from trouble. Day is a national level badminton player coping with rapid vision loss, whose family is looking for a caretaker for him. Day was amused by Mhok's attitude when he barged into the interview and suggested they hire him. After initial resistance, Mhok decided to take the job after a second encounter.
Y'all should have been more explicit about the dress code for Mhok, though it is amusing to consider that his style of dress in the house only matters for the family.
8 to 6 six days a week??? WTF
I'm glad Mhok is pleased with his salary because this is basically all he's going to do.
The entire scene of Mhok looking around Day's room is fantastic. It lets the audience learn a little about Day, but we also learned about Mhok because we see what catches his attention. Mhok is so tactile and literally sticks his hand in the fish tank, but touching and rearranging things in a blind person's room is going to cause frustration.
Mhok tossed a cigarette in their yard! That's a good character detail.
I'm with Day. I don't like the smell of cigarettes wafted off someone.
I really like Porjai. I said this last time, but I like how their relationship feels behind them that she can discuss it so casually, even if Mhok doesn't get her lesson.
Aon had so much personality. I am charmed. I love the handshake he has with Day. Whatever Day is working through, I'm glad he has a friend.
Closing the door on Mhok was good comedy.
Unsurprised that Day selected Mhok as a way to make his mom give up on a caretaker.
Ah, the show is continuing to connect the experiences. Mhok's perceived reputation is being presented as similar to Day being considered invalid.
I like day taking Day's expectations as a challenge.
Of course Day needed help and Mhok has to take off his shirt to not smell like smoke. We even go to see him crawl around from behind. Oh, BL, never change, except in the ways I demand of you.
Yes, touch his tiddies so we know they're real.
I wonder how the eye drops help to give him limited improved vision.
Yes, Mhok, make him help you save his fish. We got him out of his room!
Oh, they were having fun, but it seems they haven't disclosed his condition and Night brought friends over.
Curious if they follow up on that terse declaration later for Mhok to give up his eyes. I hope not!
Oh no. Rung flashback. Trigger warning for suicide aftermath.
Yeah, that seems about right for Mhok. Also glad this show is doing nonsexual nudity. Anyone required to care for another person is going to have to be engaged with someone beyond what others might consider polite boundaries.
Porjai jumped to fix this quick!
Oh, I really like that the gift is goldfish slippers. We can feel assured this is something Mhok picked out.
I may be gay, but Namtam looks so goddamn good in this show.
Omg Mhok is trying to understand how Day has to do tasks while wearing a shirt that says FART PROUDLY.
There he goes joking about Mhok's body again.
They just dumped the fish into the tank?? Are they trying to shock and kill it???
Ope. Said the name in the preview. Finish your drink!
This is working for me so far. I'm enjoying a straightforward premise being taken seriously. Really appreciating the lack of slapstick about the situation and dynamics.

Re: RWBY outfits in v9: Hey wow it's strange that Jaune gets a completely new helmet and hairstyle and altered face AND his armor is significantly retextured to the point of looking completely out of place with the flat-colored outfits the girls have in shots where they're together. I'm sure this has nothing to do with where the narrative focus of the Volume actually was. But it's fine if we don't at least partially take the girls out of their cold weather gear???
This!
Also, people frequently fail to acknowledge how much this snowballs.
RWDE: Why did Jaune get the new texture and hairstyle? Push-back: Duh, because he's the one who's been living in the Ever After for decades. RWDE: Yeah... and why did he get to do that again? Push-back: Because he killed Penny and the story needed him to have a significant arc in response to that. RWDE: Uh huh, and why did he get to do that? Push-back: Because Jaune is the one with the super important healing skill that beautifully contrasts their violent career! RWDE: ... are we not sensing a pattern yet?
Putting aside the fact that Ruby could beautifully fit any of these emotional beats with a bit of tweaking (she falls early, finds the time tree, the emphasis is on the contrast of Penny's first friend having to kill her, silver eyes are somehow significant to that moment, etc.) I think too often fans get caught up in not only the supposed necessity of any one scene —treating the RWBY gang as real people bound by the whims of fate, rather than characters 100% controlled by the writers — but also the ways in which, yes, past work does have an influence on what occurs later. If you make Jaune a team leader equal to Ruby, if you give him a big arc at the very start of the show, if you make him OP in regards to energy, if you give him the most useful skill in the entire group (given that they're fighting humans more than grimm nowadays, silver eyes are all but useless in most fights. ESPECIALLY when Ruby will randomly not use them against Cinder), if you make him the emotional focus of Pyrrha's death, if you give him the revenge quest, if you have him kill Penny... yeah, you're setting up future scenarios where he "has" to remain in the narrative spotlight. That's the problem: not only that RWBY refuses to pull back from Jaune's position in the story, but that it started that trend so early that now they have built-in excuses for why it "has" to continue. We knew going into Volume 9 that Jaune would be a problem because Volume 8 had already introduced the problems of a) having him kill Penny and b) having him fall with the title team. We're going in circles and continually winding up in scenes like, "Well, Jaune has to have an emotional breakdown that detracts from Ruby's because he's the one who has suffered for decades and he's the one who just lost an entire village to deliberate drowning. Not giving him that focus would be bad writing." Yeah, I know it would, hence the frustration that RWBY keeps backing itself into that corner!
The design issues are a like a mini-example of that. You're right, it would be ridiculous to have Jaune living in the Ever After for most of his life and somehow coming out of it looking exactly the same... but if you're going to continue capitalizing on the focus he got all the way back in Volume 1, at least give the girls equal treatment. I don't like that Jaune had a breakdown that undermined Ruby's, but given that I also would have disliked the story ignoring his clearly traumatic experiences lately, I'm glad they at least gave Ruby her breakdown alongside his (even if, as stated elsewhere, there are additional problems with how it was framed). The clothing does the opposite where Jaune gets his logical change AND the story does nothing to try and bring Team RWBY up to speed with him.
Chucking onto that pile: the fact that so many were expecting/hoping for Ruby to come out visually changed from her time in the tree, but she simply reverts back to where she was a few episodes ago with her rose pendant. Jaune, meanwhile, leaves the Ever After as the only one with a visual cue that he's undergone any growth.

bucchigiri ep 12 lb thoughts:
wow, tbh I was not expecting to get more backstory on ara this late, but it's appreciated
aww ara thought matakara was cool
i'm still unsure what exactly a honki person is to be completely honest
komao is the best nurse thanks buddy
bucchigiri pleaseeeeee let mahoro do anything please im begging
ahaha the cat gag is finally revealed
also he just fucking stole jasmine right out of there lmaooo
okay so... mahoro uses a man to wake her brother up... sweetie I'm sorry but your brother only cares about men and fighting. it's time to give up
the siguma goons dressed in nurse outfits I'm cackling
yet again love is used as a metaphor for fighting and here it's applied to arajin and matakara hm
ahaaaaa as I predicted his wish changed. specifically to wanting matakara to wake up, no less
so like, is ichiya's issue with senya similar to matakara's issue with arajin? in that he wasn't as strong as he wanted him to be
is it inappropriate to say senya is lucky and I would like ichiya to beat me up as well
oh damn ichiya was sick and wanted to be killed by senya. senya looked up to ichiya and didn't want to do that.
komao carrying zabu aww
so now that ichiya is controlling matakara's body, matakara is stuck with his darkness. notably, the best friend stone lies in there, broken. he sits in the corner of his laundromat room, the place he's had to stay since his brother went to juvie
ofc these two muscled bitches can only make up by fighting
divorced dad senya got his wife back by being real for once
the only thing stronger than ichiya's pettiness--matakara's lack of self worth
ope well the only thing stronger than matakara's lack of self worth is ara's delusional love for mahoro ig
wow his wish change did not last for long lol
ohhh matakara shoving ara away, he believes everyone from his past makes him weaker "I don't need my friends, or my brother, or even you!"
matakara is deathly afraid of being left alone. it happened with ara, it happened with his brother, so now he wants to sever all his relationships so he can't be hurt again
literally shoving the love of friendship into matakara's face so he can't reject it, healing the inner child so afraid of loneliness
matakara finally having his investment in ara acknowledged and reciprocated
senya's unfinished business is done, he can ascend to heaven with his boyfie
i KNEW that stamp was gonna be for matakara. also stamping it in blood hell yeah
matakara I love youuuu
ahh a very sk8-type ending montage
MATAKARA YOUR BESTIES LOVE YOU
i'm at least glad mahoro is still ignoring the fact ara exists
did shindo wear fake boobs and heels just to sneak back into NG 💀 he's fulfilling his true calling in life: to be the drama member of an idol group
lmaooo catboy doing his best sales
ara and matakara making gyoza again 😭
matakara's brother is alive phew
lmaoooo the ending
well, I guess the ending would keep it open for a potential S2, if that were to ever happen. good episode with excellent animation, even though it didn't quite fulfill all of my desires for this show. would've liked mahoro to have a more active role in all this. this show also felt a bit limited by runtime and writing at times, but overall it was a pretty enjoyable experience with charming characters (who I would've liked to learn more about, tbh). matakara and ara's fight was amazing. I wanted more ichiya and senya than we got but I'm glad they resolved their issues too. I'm kinda curious as to what happened with ichiya after the fight. is he also in the bullet with senya, did he pass on, or is he in his own bullet? if it's the first option, I need a spinoff of their stupid domestic lives inside their separate spirit world

hi! Following seeing some of your posts and the art by typosandtea, I was wondering what your lore/ hcs for Cutler are! I LOVE your design for him
also just came to say I think you’re awesome :) have a great day
Thank you so much!! Your headcanons on Cutler have been amazing as well, I'm so glad this character that gets like, two lines of dialogue about him is getting recognized by the fandom (as he DESERVES!)
Headcanons about Cutler
Cutler had his eyes on the cute scrap seller in Rivet City for a while, and their first real interaction was him trying to flirt.
Danse, being on the aroace spectrum (maybe demisexual?) and extremely oblivious, never realized this fact. He assumed Cutler was just trying to haggle for a lower price.
Cutler never bought anything though. Instead he would ask about the original uses of all the pre-war items Danse had in stock and watched as Danse's face lit up. He loved to listen to him ramble about things he was passionate about.
He asked Danse out for a meal one evening and Danse, hungry and poor, was happy with the free food. Danse never quite picked up on Cutler's crush, but Cutler took it in stride anyway - he was a very carefree guy who was perfectly fine with making a new friend.
Danse and Cutler were basically opposites. Cutler was always impulsive and chaotic, big golden retriever energy, and Danse was much more reserved and anxious when he was younger.
They balanced each other out well, Danse could reel Cutler's chaos in and Cutler taught Danse to loosen up a little. They got into trouble sometimes, but never anything too serious.
I also imagine Cutler to be a bit of a nomad. He had a sister at home he'd send mail to regularly, but other than that he was always moving and exploring the wasteland without a specific goal in mind, only staying at places for a few months at a time before moving on.
So of course he was hyped about the Brotherhood recruiting. Free food, clothing, shelter, and education! And once he got bored he'd just dip and find a new place to call home like he always has.
He probably would have left the Brotherhood long before his scouting op if it wasn't for Danse, honestly.
His opinion of Danse was a complicated one. Depsite not usually becoming attached to friends or lovers, he had this urge to keep Danse safe and watch him succeed in life. Danse was such a strange guy with such a complicated mind it was like watching a bug under a microscope... and his crush on him really didn't help.
By the time he realized just how deep of a hole he dug himself into it was too late to back out and go back to his nomad life. Not that he minded, he was more than happy following Danse to wherever he wanted to go.
At a certain point they both knew they loved each other, but nothing was ever said. It really wasn't important to either of them to label their relationship or have some sort of big admission of love. They just silently knew they'd be there for each other no matter what.
The last time they saw each other was when Cutler was leaving on his mission. He waved through the window of the vertibird and Danse, not wanting to break protocol, kept a steady salute and didn't wave back. They really thought they were going to see each other again.
As for physical features
Danse struggles with a bit of face blindness, so he tends to look for concrete features like hair, markings, or clothing to identify people. Cutler of course mirrored this perfectly by being very noticable in terms of appearance.
Blonde hair, green eyes. A burn scar going down his face and to his shoulder. Cheap jewelery with a fake gold chain necklace. And, despite how cold it probably was in rivet city, he always wore a white tank top. He was a very memorable guy and didn't change his outfits often!
When Cutler died he still had his dogtags and chains around his neck, almost tight enough it was constricting blood flow. This sticks with Danse for a long time and plays a bit into my fic Danse and Uncertainty where he gets all emotional seeing a feral with a sundress on. It reminds him that all these monsters were once human, and potentially once someone's friend.
I don't quite have a story in mind for his burn scar, but given how he spent a big chunk of his life moving around it's not surprising he had some scars. He was never self conscious of them and loved showing them off and telling the stories, even if he had to stretch the truth a bit to make them more interesting.
