Prompt #44
This is a winged au yeah.
In a world where avians(bird hybrids) are normal, though somewhat rare; Danny is a raven.
Before any sports at school game he’s gifted flower crowns and necklaces, an extra cookie or two from other students at lunch, random little trinkets and nick-nacks.
He’s on kind-off-friendly terms with most sports players of the school, and usually on not-so-friendly terms with the opposing teams. When home team wins a game, he’s invited to the celebration party; when home team loses a game, well let’s just say he comes home with a few bruises and missing feathers.
He’s not the official mascot, but he basically is.
Off topic, Doiyi: “Paulina would totally be a flamingo.” Me: “pfff definitely a flamingo.”

Looking for Trouble 22.2.23
DP x DC. Batfam, Casper High students, John Constantine.
Liminal Amity that disappeared years ago has a student trip to Gotham and alarm the Bats who give John Constantine a heart attack when he finds out about it afterward.
The Bats are all in their civvies giving a tour of Wayne Industries to a group of students when a rouge attack happens and the whole building gets taken hostage.
Before any of the Batfam can figure out what to do or how to get into costume the students whip out a bunch of glowing weapons and deal with the situation.
They act like this is normal except for the rogue being a bit disappointing.
They finish the tour, walk off the premises, and then literally disappear into a glowing green portal to hell.
The Batfam tries to find out more about them or the town they came from and come up blank.
So they take it to the Justice League and John Constantine basically has a heart attack when he hears them asking about Amity Park, the town that got liminal-ized right out of reality because the Ghost King lives there.

Do the students of Casper High know that Spectra was a ghost? Or do they think school counsellors are just Like That?
To all appearances Spectra arrived, made the students miserable, then disappeared. The only people that found out she was a ghost were Danny, Tucker, Sam and Jazz.
It isn't an unheard of idea to have Casper High students be wary and avoidant of school counsellors because their last one was secretly an evil ghost. But has anyone run with the idea that they might avoid school counsellors post My Brother's Keeper not because they know she was a ghost, but because they don't? What if they avoid them because they think Spectra was simply doing her job and none of them want to be hurt like that again?
Does Kwan recognize Spectra during Doctor's Disorders and that's how they discover she's a ghost? It stirs an entirely new wave of paranoia because this is two times that the same ghost has targeted Casper High students by pretending to be a medical professional and none of the adults noticed.

Fenton the Danger Alarm
It didn't take long for Amity Park to notice; if there was danger coming, then mist would come out of Danny Fenton's mouth. So if Mist comes out of Danny's mouth, danger will come in a few minutes, and the more mist, the more dangerous the danger. ++ So while his group was in a student swap in a other City, a huge mist came out of Danny's mouth, and the whole Casper High class did go into chaos. The last time this happened, they had hurricanes(Vortex)! The first thing the class did was use a Fenton shield, so the classroom is saved. As long as the shield is open, not even a nuke could destroy it. A few minutes later, there was an alarm about a Rouge attack on the school. Which brought much destruction to the whole school just not that Classroom. + From that day on, the Outside class with Danny learned to be ready when mist came out. If mist comes out, danger will happen. This is the most useful metapower they ever saw for civilians. + They are very jealous of the Casper High school, someone like Danny would be very good for people where villains attack so often! Never before was their school so safe for such a long time! All were able to go safe place in time with this much more effective Alarm.

Dcxdp prompt
Ember Mclain when she was alive, was a vigilante in Gotham city working side by side with the dynamic duo. Not that she was particularly well liked by them, or the larger hero community on a whole. Just ask any other hero and they'll say that Prima, Ember's hero name, was too attention seeking, unwilling to seek to anyone else, always trying to be the center of attention, and always ruining missions with her need for attention. Needless to say Ember rubbed a lot of heroes the wrong way, especially seeing as that this was early into Bruce taken on Dick Grayson as a ward so none of the heroes really knew how to deal with a teenage vigilante like Ember.
When she had died on a butched mission in a fire the hero community was shocked but not surprised. They kept telling her if she doesn't stop doing things how she normally does something like this would happen. Soon everyone moved on like if a vigilante known as Prima never existed, only slightly traumatized by the death of a child hero.
Now years later while investigating a heavily guarded lab owned by a shady part of the Government known as The Ghost Investigation Ward / the Guys In White the Justice League come across a teenager who liked exactly like Prima dressed up for a show with flaming blue hair and a pink guitar like the one Prima used to own helping a group of teenagers, two adults wearing hazmat suits, and what liked to be metas older teenagers / young adults on a motorcycle in the middle of breaking out a trio of teens and a group of meta verging in ages. The Prima look a like also seemed to be comforting a child none of them could see expect for her, the teens, and the metas.

Gotham Academy was no stranger to odd teachers, mostly due to the turnover rate in Gotham not sparing them in the least.
Still, this new out-of-towner school nurse from Absolutely Nowhere Amity Park was by far the weirdest.

Okay so I know you said you don't want Jazz to have any major abilities like mind control, but what about a passive one? My idea is that she could actually subconsciously influence the feelings or restraint of the people around her. It could even be an ability she has at home that she just never noticed. Her parents have their own immunity to it thanks to all the ectoplasmic exposure, but it's helped a couple times with convincing teachers to look the other way for her brother. Clockwork tells her about it when they go to the DCU, so she has the perfect opportunity to practice using it consciously by causing riots via hundreds of people's misplaced aggression (which helps her get her own anger and stress out too).
Actually, that's a really good idea! Passive abilities in the DP characters could be fun to explore and possibly put a hitch in their plans if they have to work around it. I'm all for crack fics where one side is completely blindsided over and over again, but if someone wanted to make it a little more serious, factoring in possible passive abilities can lead to moments where the superheroes actually have a chance at catching/defeating Fenton and the others if they manage to find out about those abilities and use it to their advantage.
As you said, Jazz seems like the best candidate for this; she could be the force that gets the ball rolling. Because if Jazz has passive supernatural abilities, then what are the chances Danny and the others have some too? After all, they've been exposed to ectoplasm more than Jazz, and she was never tangled up with a ghost for a long time. (Right? It's been a while since I've watched the show. I don't think she was possessed for a super long time by a powerful ghost or anything.) Or maybe she developed that passive talent as a defense against the more powerful ghosts, and the others don't have that kind of ability at all.
Emotional manipulation is a scary ability, after all; maybe Clockwork allowed her to join Danny for the sake of refining her power.

DP x DC AU where the entire JL thinks Danny a dead high school student tragically still haunting his school and pretending to live out the life he never had but he’s just a fucking teacher at Casper High
Reasons they think this:
Danny’s ghost form is permanently 14. Reasonable enough for them to think he’s a high schooler, considering he looks like a high schooler
His schedule operates around a standard school schedule (only free in the afternoons, weekends, and holidays)
Occasionally slips up and mentions “school” as a location (“back at school”, “i was by the school”)
He seems to have a lot of beef with high schoolers, like, as a concept (because he is a teacher. tell me high school teachers do not have beef with The Concept of High Schoolers)
Danny teaches science at Casper High, mostly ectobiology and other science classes. He absolutely loves his job except when he hates his job because he has to cancel class because one of his ghost buddies is tearing up city hall to get his attention or whatever. His identity is kind of an open secret in Amity where We Pretend We Don’t Know Mr. Fenton Is Phantom And He Doesn’t Give Us A Pop Quiz.
Danny CAN change his ghostly form. In Amity he shows up as an adult ghost but he had the Brilliant Idea to disguise his identity by appearing as a 14 year old to the JL, also to lean into the timelessness of his ghost form, because he’s been reported as a 14 year old for over a decade now.
Danny doesn’t know the JL thinks he’s haunting his old high school or something. This is because his a) lying and b) observation skills have not improved since he first died. He thinks he has them fully convinced he’s an immortal being from like, 1000 BC, a la Captain Marvel. He does not.

DP x DC Prompt: The New Teacher
(So, I've seen a lot of prompts that have Danny go to Gotham and be a teacher but I don't remember seeing any with it in this direction, so on the chance that this is an original idea here we go!)
Jason was given a choice, or multiple choices. Babysit the Replacement on a mission that could last a week, go to Bludhaven and have some 'brother bonding time' with Dick who needed backup on a big case, or take a temp solo-gig in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere called Amity Park.
Well, considering he was still a bit hurt about the fact that B replaced him all those years ago and the pit loved to grab hold of that bit of frustrations towards his younger brother, that didn't seem like a smart idea. Dick wasn't an option either because he knew that would lead to 'talking about feelings' and other shit that he didn't want to do.
So he took the solo-gig.
It was supposed to be easy, at least that's what had been implied by the others he'd spoken to about the case. It seemed like most of the Justice League thought this situation was being 'exaggerated' because most of the time when somebody checked out what was going on there was nothing happening. No big take over, or kidnapping, or 'end of the world' situation, but there had been too many calls to put Bruce's mind at ease. The frequent calls mixed with the fact that the Government apparently had the area under a 'black out' made Bruce even more nervous.
Hell, if it hadn't been for the fact that Bruce was famous and that Scarecrow, Penguin and Riddler had all escaped from Arkham he would have been doing the case himself.
Which is how Jason ended up in a restraunt named 'Nasty Burger' looking at the news papers he had managed to get from a stand down the street while taking notes of things he had already seen. It wasn't just that the Government had cut them off, all of the tech in the city was easily 20 years outdated compared to the rest of the world.
Nokia phones, chunky computers, hell he'd even seen a kid with a PDA of all things. Thankfully, it looked like his tech still worked other than running slower than it should have, but thanks to modifications made by Barbara and Tim things were running better than he expected. But, they did struggle to have access to anything, specifically the news.
Hence the paper.
Ghost Boy: Friend or Fiend. A new vote cast by the city has found that the Ghost Boy - Danny Phantom - has had an astounding rise in support after the events over the Christmas Holiday. The new polls suggest that 43% of Citizens support Danny Phantom, with the majority of his support coming from the students at Casper High who insist that Phantom is a hero who has saved them countless times over the past few months. 49% of people still agree, however, that Phantom appears to be at the center of the majority of the attacks with many still claiming that he is the sole cause of the attacks. However, 8% of the population remain undecided, including many teachers, police and hospital staff. Upon seeing the new results of the pole Mayor Montez had this to say; "While I will admit that Phantom appears to favor the younger generation and frequently seems to come to their aid, we cannot forget what it has done in the past. Taken hostages, injured innocents, and caused millions in property damage. Phantom may not be a 'villain' in the typical sense of the word, but we shouldn't blindly trust him just because of a few good deeds."
So there was a... hero? Half hero - potentially villain - in Amity Park? That might have explained some of the calls they'd gotten from Amity park over the past few months. Still, he was concerned by some parts of the report.
Students at a high school were frequently coming under attack? So much that this potential-villain kept saving them? Just what was the cause? What could cause so many issues?
Jason looked up as he saw that same PDA kid talking with a girl with short black hair in a half-ponytail who was wearing a black crop-top. The girl seemed annoyed while the boy seemed worried about something.
"But it's Vlad, Sam... what if he does something?" He heard the boy whisper, "We should go back him up..."
"He doesn't need our help, besides Jazz ran away from home, remember? She got herself into this mess it's her problem to get out of it. Something that Danny should have learned a long time ago."
Jason frowned, pretending not to hear them as he hesitated then got up and walked over to the two younger teens. "Hey, excuse me."
The girl looked annoyed and suspicious while the boy looked confused.
"Uh, yeah?" Tucker asked.
"Hey, sorry to bug you both. But could you guys tell me about this... 'Danny Phantom' person?" He asked, holding the newspaper out.
The girl looked even more suspicious, "And... who are you?"
"And how haven't you heard of Phantom?" Asked the boy.
"I just moved to town." Jason admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "So, I'm just trying to catch up on all the town drama."
"You moved to Amity Park... willingly? Psh, what do you have, a deathwish?" The girl grumbled.
"Come on, I just moved from Gotham, which is worse?"
The girl blinked as the boy laughed.
"Furries vs Ghosts, who will win~" He said as the girl elbowed him. "Ow! What?!"
"Danny Phantom is a hero." The girl explained, "He showed up in April and has been protecting the town since."
"A hero, huh? Could always use more of those in the world, but the mayor seems to have it out for him."
Tucker sighed, "No kidding, man. Somebody framed Phantom for something really bad and no matter what he does to try to fix it the city just see's that incident as the only thing he's ever done. It was the first big 'public thing' outside of the high school so it was huge but it wasn't his fault."
The girl reached for her phone suddenly, looking at it before she answered. "Hey, Danny. What's up?" She was quiet for a moment, "Yeah, we're at Nasty Burger, wanna join us? Lunch on me?"
A quiet mumble came through the speaker before she smirked.
"I'll order for you then. Double or triple?"
More mumbles.
"Triple it is. See you soon." She said, then hung up. "Come on, Tuck, Danny is on his way for lunch."
"Hell yeah, see you later, dude." The boy said, then jogged off with the girl.
"A teacher? Yeah, it looks like there's some openings but why would you want to have your cover as a teacher?" Oracle asked as Jason sat in his hotel room, looking through the paper again.
"Most of the incidents seem to surround the High School, I want to see what's going on."
Oracle hummed, typing for a moment. "Alright, well as luck will have it, it looks like teachers are sparse at Amity High, at least from what I'm able to get using your connection... which is infuriatingly slow, by the way, are you sure you did it right?"
"I've done it a million times, of course I did it right."
Oracle grumbled, "Stupid Amity black-out. Okay, so you have options. Most of the teachers have fucked off so all of the teachers in Freshmen year switch around to cover lessons or do mixed lessons. For example the English teacher also teaches Math and the normal Math teacher also teaches Science. So it looks like you could have any position you want and the school would just shuffle around the teachers."
"You said English is taken, right?"
"Yep, the teacher is named William Lancer and he- oh... wait, he's on a leave of absence due to injuries he suffered over Christmas Break. Concussion, broken arm, and bruised ribs, he'll be out for a few weeks."
Jason smirked, "Perfect. Sign me up."
". . . Jason, the English and Math teacher... never thought I'd see the day. Alright, I'll type up your application, send it in and casually push it to the front of the line. You'll be official by the time Winter Break ends in a few days. So get studying."
"Sounds like a plan, but I'll be fine, I mean our family is crazy and i deal with criminals on a nightly basis. How hard could this assignment really be?"
He would regret asking that question by the end of his first day as an Amity High School teacher.

It all started because of a school project, technically two projects, while it wasn't a world ending threat they set of a change reaction that lead to startling discoveries.
Mr Lancer had given the class the task of looking through their pasts and finding an life changing event that helped shape them into the person that were today and writing about that event.
It was a ten page essay (they were allowed to go over that limit) the more details the better and if you had something from that event to show (such as photos or keepsakes or really anything) you were awarded extra credit.
Danny's choice of event was the school field trip to a nearby museum he went on when he was seven, the space exhibit they had was what sparked his love for the stars and kick-started his dreams of being an astronaut.
It wasn't like he had any other choice (he doubted mister Lancer would accept 'my death' as a good life changing event)
He knew that he had photos of the field trip somewhere with all the other photos taken throughout his life, he just had to find them.
And after digging through thousands of boxes and piles of discarded inventions he handled with care (in case they blew up) he found them tucked inside an old photo album covered in green stains that sat on top of a bookshelf.
Opening the book caused all the pictures to fall into his lap, it seems like his parents didn't get around to actually adding them to the book, Danny resigned himself to spending the rest of his day shifting through old photos.
It wasn't all bad though, he found pictures of when Sam still had blonde hair and wore pink and of that time Tucker wrote an 'I love you' on his parents cars with their keys and many other embarrassing photos.
A treasure trove of blackmail material.
He finally found the picture he was looking for.
All of the kids who are now students of Casper high stood in front of an old building each proudly holding up something they bought in the gift shop (Danny had bought a book on planets that had long ago fallen apart)
It was a normal photo.
And yet, something seemed off.
Sam and Tucker were there with him in between them, Dash was there too.
Along with Kwan, Mikey, Paulina, Valerie, and all the others.
And yet, something was missing.
Then it hit him.
Wes wasn't there.
Danny could've sworn that he had been on that trip, but the more he thought about it the less he was sure.
He couldn't actually remember Wes being there and Danny remembered nearly everything about that trip.
'Maybe he was sick or something?' It was the most logical thing he could think of to explain the other absence, that and his parents not wanting him to go for some reason.
Mystery solved he pushed it to the back of his mind , he had an essay to finish.
Still, it stuck with him.
-----------------------------
The next school project Lencer gave them was one with assigned partners.
Danny got Wes who, despite not being Sam or Tucker, was leagues better then Dash and he'd take that as a win.
Wes had insisted on studying at his house so he could, and Danny quotes "Keep an eye on you Fenton"
Danny could practically feel the hidden cameras burning a hole into him while he stood in front of the Weston's door, waiting for him to go ghost for whatever reason.
Jokes on him though, Danny asked all the ghosts to leave him along for this month with the promise of giving them a head start the next time they caused trouble, so really Wes was just wasting his time.
"This way." Wes said already heading inside without caring if Danny followed.
Being the first time he had ever been in Wes's home Danny looked at everything and anything.
It was a fairly normal home, not like Danny's which had an anti-ghost defense system or Sam's super rich house.
But more like Tuckers
One of the things that drew his attention was the pictures that lined the walls.
There were so many.
Some with Wes and his mom, some with just him, some with just his mom, and some with people Danny didn't recognise.
But there were no baby photos.
The only pictures Danny could find of a young Wes seemed to be from when he was eight? Nine?
And nothing before.
'Maybe they were put away in storage' Danny guessed, but it still made his brain itch.
He remembered looking at old school photos and not finding any sign of a young Wes at all, he didn't even remember Wes coming to school any time before the year Danny turned eight.
And in a small town where everyone knew everyone that really wasn't possible.
'Maybe they moved here and lost a lot of stuff' Which would explain a lot, well no harm in asking. "Did you loss a lot when you moved here?"
Wes stopped walking and turned around to give him a look that asked if he was insane. "I've lived here my whole life, Fenton."
Danny froze, that couldn't be right, he'd remember that.
Something was wrong.
---------------------------------
Tim Drake sat in front of the bat computer as the rest of his family patrolled.
He had one monitor displaying the other bats locations while all the other monitors were used to show him files, or rather the lack there of.
Wayne Enterprises had tournaments held for schools and the prize was an all express paid trip to Gotham and tour of WE and surrounding areas, Tim could think of way better prizes that weren't visiting the crime capital of the world but that wasn't the point.
What was the point was that every time there was a winner Tim preformed a routine background check on students and staff (and by routine he means learn their whole live story) just in case anyone happened to be trained assassins set to kill one of them, stranger things have happened.
Wes Weston was one such student whose background Tim had to check.
And he found nothing.
Sure, there were hospital and school documents from age eight and upwards, but other then that nothing.
There was no birth certificate, no evidence of him attending daycare, nothing.
It was as if Wes did not exist before he was eight years old.
And perhaps the most interesting thing.
Amy Weston was listed as Wes's biological mother, DNA even said as much, and yet Amy's medical file said that she had never been pregnant and also had no siblings that could've been Wes's parent.
And yet Wes existed, appearing one day as if he had always been there.
Was it cloning? Aliens? Magic? A changeling? Someone creating false information to hide the truth?
It was a mystery, and mysteries had always been Tim's Kryptonite.

@thesoulspulse suggested in this post a while back that Vlad should have become Casper High's principal instead of Amity Park's mayor, and I completely agree. Would have been waaaaaay funnier and better preserved his status as a very personal threat/potential ally to Danny specifically. Plus, we could have gotten a really dramatic students vs faculty dodgeball game with Vlad vs Danny as the inciting force!!

Dc x dp idea 114
Jack and Maddie figure out the truth. They can’t possibly hurt there boy. Even if they knew he was just a spook with pretend emotions.
So they inform the Giw.
The GIW waits for no one. In the middle of the school day they arrive at the highschool. Now when i was in highschool we had reinforced doors and they remained locked the entire school day. They had to buzz you in and out.
So the Giw arrive banging on the door ordering the arrest of Danny Fenton aka Phantom.
Turns out the staff and students of Casper high are ride and die. They all had weapons on them. They literally get attacked multiple times in a day.
This turns into a huge stand off.
Casper high protects there own. Dash and Paulina absolutely not letting Danny out of thier sights. No way. He’s in danger! Sam and tucker weren’t even in school that day. Jazz was pulled early.
No one os getting through to them. Jocks just throwing balls and weapons at the Giw from the roof. Paulina trying to disguise Danny but his ecto signature prevents that.
They have the whole school surrounded with anti-ecto weaponry so Danny can’t even sneak away.
Just the school protecting and hiding Danny. All until the JL get involved.
Government reached out to them as there is clearly a mind control or hostage situation happening. It had been 4 days. Something was clearly possessing them. Why else would the school be hiding the ghost boy?

Studen exchange program, no thank you.
If you ask Danny, he could give you a ton of reasons why a student exchange program with an apparently high class school was a bad idea for Casper High to do and why it was even worse that somehow Danny had been volunteered for it. Ancients even Lancer was stressing how much of a bad idea it was to sent Danny Fenton to Gotham Academy.
Though Danny knew it was all the stupid fruitloops fault. Vlad wanted him out of town for something. Both Tucker and Sam had notified him about something brewing in Amity and Danny needed to get back asap. So Danny did what he could do best, cause a mess in the best Fenton manner that he could that would make Lancer faint if the man knew. In his defense, the man had tried to prevent this, but no one listened. Now Gotham Academy was dealing with a Fenton level mess and because Danny wanted to get kicked out of the Student exchange program to get back to Amity.
He did however not expect to be sent to the principle office and to be given a 'second chance' since what he did was not as bad as some of the other things Gotham students apparently can come up with.
Well, he also did not expect that his muttering, ramblings, and loud thinking were getting overheard by another student who apparently got sent to the office for attempting to stab a fellow student. Said student then continued to pester Danny the following days 'investigating' him.
Seriously all Danny wanted was to get kicked out of the student exchange and to stop whatever Vlad was doing in Amity but now he got one Damian Wayne pestering him with his weird social skills and constant threats of stabbing him if he doesn't answer questions.
And why in the name of Acients was he getting late night wellfair checks from furries?!

Transfers
Jim Gordon decided to offer his home to the students transferring from Casper High to Gotham Prep for a few months. Barbara wasn't too happy about it but Jim preferred that to having those kids end up in a dangerous place or worse, with Bruce Wayne (he meant well but frankly Jim would rather not risk another young vigilante). Besides, one of the transfers practically demanded a restraining order against the millionaires, the poor kid.
Honestly Jim didn't understand why the transfer program existed. Casper didn't know how dangerous Gotham was? Or didn't they care?, all he hoped was that he could keep them safe and that they wouldn't come back to their home too traumatized.
Of course, he had no way of knowing that the Casper's trio was more than ready for Gotham, with weapons disguised in their suitcases and a ghost hero about to enjoy an extended vacation after negotiating a deal with the ghosts.
Gotham wouldn't know who hit it.

They are built different
Sure not everyone in Amity Park has ghostly powers or access to almost alien like technology. But living there. Dealing with the supernatural on the regular and having small amounts of ectoplasm in the water source made them sturdier. People dont bruise as often. They can take slightly harder hits or simply their responses to danger might not be as normal.
So while it leaves some in Gotham quite confused the class of Casper High sees it as rather normal when their teacher knocks out some weird clown with his copy of Pride and Prejudice before calling the police.
And if not for the teacher some students seemed ready to deal with that one.
Red Hood demanded the Video.
