this is absolutely a wild hypothetical! the answer is, perhaps predictably, that it depends on who replaces him.

automattic as a whole is rotten from the top down. one of the board members is a perfect example of this: the very first female general in the US military. #girlboss, right? matt was very excited about bringing her onboard.

matt is on the board. toni, who i believe is the interim ceo and know very little about, is on the board. i would assume that any replacement ceo would be less likely to start a complete PR trashfire, but that doesn't mean that they're not still going to be making cynical, profit-based decisions.

in this economy it's very unlikely that tumblr will be staffed well enough or given enough agency to create actual lasting change for the better. but we'd at least have a ceo who isn't prone to using superadmin tools to fuck individual people over when trying to win arguments, i guess? which is not a structural win in any way, it just removes one particular volatile factor.

When Flash first overhears Peter talking about the "Stark Internship," he rolls his eyes and thinks, "Of course he'd go with that excuse at Midtown School of Science and Technology."

Whatever. Flash knows the truth. He's seen the car that Parker gets picked up in, seen the body guard / chauffeur and the absolutely insane amount of discrete safety tech he always has on. Flash is convinced that the whole orphan thing is just a cover story and Peter secretly has parents at least as rich and influential as Flash's own.

Maybe they're politicians or the mob or something, and that's why all the secrecy. Honestly, Flash is doing him a favor by bullying him all the time for being an unimportant orphan. It's the perfect cover. Maybe he'll even drop the ridiculous Stark Industries lie and come up with a more believable backstory soon.

Then, one day Flash and Peter end up in a kidnapping situation.

The kidnappers take Flash's watch, but they leave some of Peter's tech since it's better hidden. As soon as they're alone, Flash expects Peter to hit that panic button and get them the hell out of there.

Only... he doesn't? Did Peter learn nothing from K&R training? Flash reaches over and hits the secret panic button 3 times immediately, no hesitation. Peter is shocked. Flash is like, "Oh come on, I obviously know your secret."

He's kind of curious and excited now to see who Peter's secret parents are, once the cops get them out of there.

He is not at all prepared when Iron Man bursts through the door.

He's even less prepared when Tony Stark steps out of the suit and totally freaks out at Peter, hugging him and checking for injuries.

... maybe he's finally met Peter's secret parent after all.

I just wanted to take a moment and point out some attention to details Nut is taking with Way's character. Way says he's changed and he's sorry and he's making sure he keeps his distance from Babe and he's also keeping his hands in his pockets around him now. It's small things like that that speak true to the dialogue between characters.

the thing is.

yes, tony loves sex. he full well earned his playboy title. but what most people don’t realize, what he only lets the most important people know, is that what he cherishes the most is kissing.

he loves kissing. he craves the feeling of soft lips against his own, of kisses being peppered across his skin. he loves the simple intimacy of it and he thinks if he had to give up sex, he’d be fine. but kisses, he can’t live without.

tony loves when pepper kisses his cheek whenever he’s done something to make her especially proud. he loves the way rhodey would press a kiss against his hair when they’re hugging goodbye before he ships out again. he loves happy’s forehead kisses that he gives out even when he’s grumpy after tony has beat his ass while sparring.

but what makes him happiest are the kisses from steve and bucky. he loves the way steve would hold him from behind and trail soft kisses up the back of tony’s neck, sending a delightful tingle down his spine. he adores when bucky takes tony’s hand and kisses the inside of his wrist, never failing to make tony blush just from that simple touch. he finds going to the medbay after a battle more bearable when steve is there to patch him up and kiss his cuts and bruises better. and movie nights are made all the better when bucky cuddles up beside him and presses kisses into tony’s shoulder just because he can, just because he wants to.

tony absolutely loves kisses. and kisses from steve and bucky are simply the best.

I didn't want the actors in some other project together as other characters, I needed to see these two characters together once more, to see these two specific characters get their happy ending.
