Prompt:
A whole ass zombie apocalypse wasn’t something Jason thought he’d ever have to worry about.
Not that he has to worry about it now, either, considering he just got bit.
Everyone knows what you gotta do in these scenarios. Your loved ones will cry (“awe, Dickie, you do care”), they’ll try to find a different way (“shut up Bruce. Even you can’t concoct a cure in two hours”) and blame themselves (“fuck you, Timmers, I want you to know I died because you wanted that damn coffe!”…. Yeah, he could have handled that one better in hindsight) and then, ultimately, they’re gonna put a bullet in your brain. For the sake of the group.
And it’s fine, really. Better than turning into a mindless, flesh eating meat sack. He was ready. He got to say goodbye. It’s fine.
Or it would have been fine, if any of those damn cowards had pulled the friggin trigger.
Now Jason is clinically semi-dead (don’t ask him, he doesn’t know how this shit works either) and still annoyingly in charge of his mental faculties while also harboring a rather concerning craving for human flesh.
Fuck.

Thinking about how, at the end of the day, at the fatal moment, the sunset of the Republic, it wasn’t Yoda, or Obi-Wan, or even the Chosen One himself standing in the way of Palpatine. It was Mace Windu.
Mace Windu, the inventor of Vaapad and Master of Form VII, the Jedi's strongest duelist, the only person to ever defeat Palpatine in combat. Mace Windu, Master of the Jedi Council and the youngest Master ever appointed to it, the revered leader of the Order. Mace Windu, who forgave even those who tried to kill him, who risked his life over and over again for his troops, who, after 3 years of desperate war, tried to negotiate with battle droids. Mace Windu, who knew the clones were created by the Sith and chose to trust them, who saw every Shatterpoint in the Republic, and loved it still, and fought for it until his last breath, until he was betrayed by Anakin, who he believed in and trusted despite everything.
Mace Windu, High General and hero of the Republic, the embodiment of the Light, the last and greatest champion of the Order, the best Jedi to ever live.

I get a lot of asks to vaguely tell me a post I reblogged, the op has posted something problematic. And when I don’t respond, I get asks accusing me of having certain views.
And I just have to say that it’s exhausting. I do not have the spoons to go to the op of every post I reblog to comb through their blog to see what they’ve posted. I don’t think that’s a reasonable ask even if someone did have the spoons.
These asks really just stress me out. And I know I’m not the only one who gets them. I will not be answering these asks. And no, that doesn’t mean I agree with them but just that I’m exhausted.
I try to unfollow blogs that post stuff I don’t agree with. But that doesn’t mean I see everything. If you ever see me following a blog that you think has done something problematic, then please show me receipts. But when it comes to any other blog name on a post, I really cannot go check them all before deciding to reblog a post.

Thinking about how Hoody!Brian had SO many opportunities to kill Alex but hesitated and couldn’t time and time again. He had the guy captured twice and while you could argue that the Operator interrupted him once, he also HAD him at Benedict Hall. He could’ve ended it there, but he couldn’t.
Hoody!Brian could hate him all he wanted, beat him to hell and back, and mock and threaten him, but he never was quite able to pull the trigger. Even at his lowest, even full of hate and contempt for Alex (and some for everyone else alive too), he couldn’t seem to cross that particular line. Which is incredibly interesting to me.

PSA to my fellow Richonners and Walking Dead Fans:
Some asshole is posting spoilers for The Ones Who Live in the Richonne tag (and literally every other walking dead/cast member tags) without any warning or consideration for those who don’t want to be spoiled for this show.
If you don’t want to be spoiled make sure you block user “twdspoilers4theprivileged”.
Danai literally begged a few times at the premiere for no one to spoil this show, so anyone who goes against that is purposefully disrespecting her, Andy, Gimple and everyone who worked hard on this show.PLEASE REBLOG THIS IF YOU CAN TO HELP GET THE WORD OUT TO MORE FANS. I know a lot of people still don’t want to be spoiled, and they shouldn’t be bombarded with it unexpectedly in a tag that’s suppose to be safe.

I know the “emotions translate to strength of magic” and the “repressed emotions character unleashes their emotions and the magic they let loose is so powerful, no one can stop it” tropes are really really neat
However, have you considered: “Repressed emotions character that unleashes their magic, but the only thing that comes out is a trickle from having stuffed down their feelings for years— and it’s a long and painful journey of trying to reteach themself on how to do magic— and in turn cope with their feelings”?
I do love me a character getting to go apeshit after not allowing themself to do so for years, but I am starved of content where when the emotionally repressed character finally *does* get a chance to, they *can’t*.
And they feel this sense of powerlessness since they used to have such a big control of their own magic— having kept their emotions in check for years— only for the moment they need to call upon it again, it lets them down because of the lack of gentle nurturing.
Which in turn causes the character to become frustrated with their magic and the progress they have to retrace, which riles their emotions negatively, which affects their magic and… you get the point.
Think it’d also be nice to have the character have someone that loves them enough to help them one step at a time. Spending quiet hours of the evening, sitting together as they slowly untangle the reservations that have been here for years. Guiding the process carefully as they both figure it out together.
While outbursts of emotion can be cool and flashy, I think the treacherous hours of time and care afterwards are just as interesting.
Outbursts only last a few hours at most.
Healing can take forever.

I love Trucy so much but I’m just thinking about her and Phoenix’s first couple of months living together
Trucy moves so silently (“she’s like… the twins from that scary movie”), so Phoenix either has his eye on her constantly so she won’t get into trouble (or hurt herself) or
“Hello Daddy.”
SHIT— has to restraint himself from flinging what he’s holding into the nearest wall, “o-oh! Hey Trucy!”
Staring at him with her All Seeing Eyes, “do you want to see something cool.”
Oh— oh god please don’t let it be a body. Do we have mice? Did she catch a mouse??? “Oh, yeah, sure thing kiddo.”
Tenderly takes him by the hand and pulls him into her room, “I organized all my socks by color.”
“…oh. Wow. Cool!”
“I also organized all my construction paper by color but that seemed less important at the time”
“Uh-…huh”
AND AN ASIDE I THINK ITS VERY IMPORTANT that Phoenix takes EVERYTHING IN STRIDE, like yessss king, water off a ducks back, this is your child now
