WIP SNIP SUNDAY
Thanks @wolfpants for the tag, your Dron wip snip looked AWESOME (read it HERE)
This is a Drarry. Most of my long Drarry WIPs have been collecting dust because I’m terrified to commit to writing them for some reason, though I love reading them.
This WIP is called “Someone Loves You, Draco Malfoy,” about a curmudgeonly middle-aged Draco who makes wands and would rather not be bothered outside of business hours, thank you very much. Maybe I’ll have the courage to actually finish it someday.
The streets are bathed in the coral glow of sunset when Draco finally sets off for home. It’s that quiet time when shops have just closed and folk are hurrying home with arms around their children and hands full of crinkly bags and neat parcels. Draco ignores their cheerful clamour and plods on.
He's definitely missed his programme, which makes him feel irritable as he stomps upstairs to his flat. Oscar is no help, his own delayed dinner earning Draco a number of alarming growls and hisses as he rummages for a can of food in the cupboard.
Draco’s fingers ghost over the preferred tuna in favor of some nearly-expired, bland chicken. Teach that ungrateful cat not to get too comfortable. No matter how long he’s benefitted from Draco’s hospitality, the arrangement is permanently temporary.
Draco is about to settle into his worn chintz armchair for a spot of pre-bedtime reading when an unexpected tap rattles the glass of his window.
A barn owl scrabbles for purchase on the narrow window ledge, a largeish package affixed to his legs.
Draco throws up the sash and stands back, allowing the owl to land on his table.
“What’s this?” Draco asks, picking at the knotted twine until it falls away. He absently strokes the owl as he tears the brown paper away.
Inside is a gold-foil-wrapped box of chocolates, and a plain white card.
Draco flips it open.
‘Someone loves you.’
He turns the card over, then the box, frantic for more information, but there it is staring him in the face in swooping curling script:
‘Someone loves you.’
It must be a mistake.
Right?
Who in their right mind would send a taciturn recluse like Draco an anonymous declaration of love?
Hey, @the-francakes, @vdoshu, @nanneramma, @vitaminpops, and @lumosatnight, anything new you’re working on lately that you wanna share? Feel free, but no pressure!

UNDER THE SUN - @wooahaes (series // fantasy/darl+ing au // multi ot13 part)
i think i’ve rbed almost all the individual parts if ur interested in my more specific thoughts but this series has been an absolute comfort series for me for a while !! the relationships between the members and the reader - both platonic and romantic have been so lovely to read !! it’s such a genuinely warm series and the worldbuilding is also just soso fantastic !! it is a fantasy sort of au,, so it’s a bit daunting to get into just because the logic of the universes created in this genre is a bit difficult to grasp,, but uts has such an easy to comprehend world and everything is explained so clearly !! it’s genuinely one of the most comforting fics i’ve read this year and one that i’d highly recommend to pretty much everyone,, even if u aren’t a carat :D

A Day with Charles, Y/N, and Jack
Charles leclerc x reader
The streets of Monaco were bathed in the warm glow of the Mediterranean sun, casting a golden hue over the pristine yachts and bustling markets. In a charming apartment overlooking the marina, life was just as picturesque for Charles Leclerc, his wife Y/N, and their adorable three-year-old son, Jack.
Jack was a spitting image of his father, with the same tousled brown hair and, most strikingly, Charles' captivating green eyes. Y/N often found herself lost in those eyes, mesmerized by their depth and beauty. It was one of the many things she adored about her little family.
This particular morning, the scent of fresh croissants and brewing coffee filled the air. Y/N stood by the kitchen counter, slicing fruit for breakfast, while Jack clung to her leg, his small hands gripping her jeans.
"Bonjour, mon amour," Charles greeted, wrapping his arms around Y/N from behind and planting a soft kiss on her neck.
"Bonjour, Charles," she replied with a smile, turning her head to kiss him on the lips. "Have you seen how much Jack looks like you today? Especially his eyes."
Charles crouched down to Jack's level and ruffled his hair. "Oui, c'est vrai. Il a mes yeux. But he has your smile, and that makes him even more special."
Jack giggled, reaching up to be picked up by his father. "Papa!"
Charles lifted Jack effortlessly, twirling him around before settling him on his hip. "Ready for breakfast, little man?"
Jack nodded enthusiastically, pointing to the table where his favorite blue plate awaited.
As they sat down to eat, Y/N couldn't help but watch the two of them interact. Jack was undeniably a mama's boy, always seeking her out for comfort and affection, but his bond with Charles was equally heartwarming. She loved seeing how Charles' eyes would light up whenever he looked at their son.
After breakfast, they decided to spend the day exploring Monaco. The Leclerc family was well-loved by the locals, and their strolls often involved many friendly greetings and photo requests. Today was no different, and as they walked through the streets, they were frequently stopped by fans and friends alike.
At one point, they stopped by a quaint little park. Jack immediately ran to the playground, his excitement evident in his beaming smile.
"Careful, Jack," Y/N called out, watching him climb up the slide. "Ne te fais pas mal."
Charles laughed, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "He'll be fine. He's a tough little guy."
They sat on a nearby bench, watching Jack play. Charles turned to Y/N, a tender expression on his face. "You know, sometimes I still can't believe how lucky I am. I have the most beautiful wife and an amazing son."
Y/N blushed, leaning her head on his shoulder. "I feel the same way, Charles. Every day with you and Jack is a blessing."
"Do you think he knows how much we love him?" Charles asked, watching Jack interact with another child on the playground.
"I think he feels it," Y/N replied softly. "And I think he sees it in our eyes, especially yours. Those beautiful green eyes of yours that he inherited."
Charles smiled, pulling her closer. "I love you, Y/N."
"Je t'aime, Charles," she whispered back.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the park, they decided to head home. Jack, tired from all the playing, clung to Y/N as they walked back. His little head rested on her shoulder, his eyes fluttering closed.
"He's definitely a mama's boy," Charles said, chuckling as he watched them.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way," Y/N replied, kissing Jack's forehead.
Back at their apartment, they settled into their evening routine. After a bath and a bedtime story, Jack was finally asleep in his crib. Y/N stood by the crib, watching her son sleep peacefully.
Charles came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "He's perfect, isn't he?"
"Yes," Y/N said, tears of happiness in her eyes. "He has your eyes, and every time I look at him, I'm reminded of how much I love you."
Charles turned her around to face him, cupping her face in his hands. "And I love you, Y/N. Thank you for giving me this beautiful life, for being the best mother to our son."
They shared a tender kiss, a moment of pure love and connection. As they pulled away, Charles glanced down at Jack, a smile playing on his lips. "He's going to grow up knowing how much he's loved. And every time he looks in the mirror, he'll see those green eyes and remember where he came from."
Y/N nodded, her heart full. "Our little Jack, with his papa's eyes and his mama's heart. He's our everything."
They left the nursery, hand in hand, ready to face whatever the future held. Together, they knew they could handle anything. Their love was strong, and with Jack as the center of their world, their family was complete.

The last of our monthly recs for 2023 ❤️ Every Day’s a Holiday (When I’m Near to You) by bleedingballroomfloor (book-verse)
@dot524: I loved every bit of this road trip fic. Henry has a crush on Alex and impulsively decides to join him on a road trip to Texas, which turns out to be longer than expected. The delicious yearning, only-one-bed situations, and funny road-trip pit stops made this a great story. I didn’t want to stop reading.
@heybuddy-drabbles: this ticked all my boxes honestly. The pinning, the yearning. The friendship they build while falling in love. And then the love, wild and unstoppable and so free. It was just perfect.
I love you, ain’t that the worst thing you ever heard? by dollarstoreannabethchase (book-verse)
@dot524: A deliciously angsty Henry POV of key events in the book - lake house & storming of Kensington Palace. Broke my heart and put it back together again. The description of his depression and pain made me want to give Henry a hug.
Last Christmas by @celaestis1 (book-verse)
@suseagull04: Enemies to lovers meets Christmas feels and found family. The establishment of every relationship, both romantic and platonic, in this fic is fantastic too!
Never Did Run Smooth by @clottedcreamfudge (book-verse)
@dot524: What a delightful ride! I loved the unique reality-show setup and the roommates/best friends to lovers pining from Henry’s POV. It had a few fun plot turns that kept me guessing and many scenes that made me grin like an idiot (e.g. a cake-baking contest and partner yoga with someone else). This isn’t exactly an undiscovered gem based on the number of comments and kudos — but I hadn’t read it, so I wanted to spread the word for those new to the fandom!
No Consequences by @anchoredarchangel (book-verse)
@thesleepyskipper: In this AU where Henry is still the Prince but Alex is a civil rights lawyer who works with Pez, the author has given us an incredible meet cute!! Alex pulls an Alex and shoots his shot for a selfie that turns out pretty well for him in the end. 😏 The author’s writing of Alex here is absolutely spot on AND hilarious. I still can’t believe this is their first published fic!!!
@zwiazdziarka: this fic has everything one could ask for: it's funny, it's cute, it's awkward, it's hot and addictive. I can't stop thinking about this version of Alex and Henry and their characterisation is absolutely perfect!
Made For Love by @candyspandemonium (book-verse)
@zwiazdziarka: AU where Henry and June are ice dancing champions and Alex has a lot of feelings about some guy stealing his sister. There are just so many good things in this fic - emotions, Alex being totally unhinged and not realising what it means, Henry as perfect fantasy, dealing with media and public opinion - and all that in nice scenery of ice rinks. Can't recommend it enough!
(Secret) Santa Baby by @indomitable-love (book-verse)
@dot524: Such a sweet AU about office romance between Alex and Henry and how a Secret Santa gift & being paired together on a project leads to something more. Heartwarming and made me smile… this writer’s characterization of Alex & Henry is always spot-on for me, no matter the universe.
The Royal Magician and the Ravens of the Tower of London by @bluflamingo (book-verse)
@suseagull04: The world-building in this fic is phenomenal! It's the perfect blend of magical realms and the real world, mystery and magic AU, and I love it!
could it be mad love? by @duchessdepolignaca03 (book/movie-verse)
@zwiazdziarka: actors AU, but also Henry is Alex's biggest fan and his awkward celebrity crush adds all new flavour to their relationship once they meet. The range of emotions fit in this story is truely amazing. There's so much tension and every moment feels like the one where it all can turn into a dissaster or something absolutely wonderful.
where every wish comes true by @hypnostheory (book-verse)
@heybuddy-drabbles: Neighbors!au + fuck buddies. Alex locks himself out of his apartment in a filthy costume and his neighbor and fuck buddie Henry takes him in. It's very funny and sexy!!

A God's Pet
(feat. Childe)
Tumblr media
❥Synopsis: When You descended to Teyvat, it was Childe who found You first.
❥Content Warnings: sagau, cult au, religious themes, yandere behavior
❥Author's Note: This is my official apology to Childe for not pulling on his banner.
Tumblr media
Childe has been a devout believer since childhood.
It was his mother's teachings that taught him Your stories, and it is his father that taught him prayers and rituals. It had always made him feel closer to You whenever he does those things, and falling into the Abyss was no exception.
There, he learned a new prayer. Prayer to give him strength and kill his enemies, offering them to You in return. When he came back, he began killing in Your name. Some may call it blasphemous but he knew that You accepted it.
After all, if it was blasphemy, then why was he rewarded? Why was he blessed by Your warmth and use him to kill Your enemies? Why was he made stronger and stronger if he had occurred Your anger?
So when he found You in Teyvat—with the stars as Your eyes and Your gaze as warm as when You use him—he had clung himself to You without shame.
He was the first one who welcomed You home—to his immense delight that he could one-up Rex Lapis who was said to be Your most devout worshipper—and had shown You the world.
He had followed wherever You went, acting as Your bodyguard and servant—not that You needed to be protected since monsters seem to steer clear of You or approach in a non-hostile manner.
And when he had suggested for You to go to Snezhnaya and You agreed, he was overjoyed that he could introduce You to the Tsarita and his family. Seeing You interact with his siblings was heartwarming, as is seeing the Tsarita personally welcome You to Snezhnaya with reverence in her normally cold eyes.
Truly, it was bliss that he could be by Your side. Even when word finally got out that You had descended and festivals all over the seven nations had occurred to celebrate it, it did not break his jubilant mood, especially when You had asked if he could accompany You.
He feels rather smug that it is him that You so clearly trust and couldn't help but smirk when he saw sight of the other Harbingers or Zhongli, knowing that try as they might, they would never be as close to You as he is—much to their jealousy—but it all fades away when he catches Your gaze and Your hand would touch his skin.
Because he knows that while he fancies himself as Your protector, Your companion—and in the deepest part of his mind, perhaps Your lover—he is nothing more than a pet.
A pet that follows his Master wherever they go, a pet that sits obediently at his Master's feet and awaits their orders, a pet that his Master amuses themselves in, and a pet that bares its teeth when prompted, protective and possessive of their Master all at once.
He may be Childe the Eleventh Harbinger, Tartaglia of the Fatui, but to You, he has always been Ajax. And Ajax has always been Your worshipper first than anything else.
Tumblr media
❥End Note: I'M SORRY I DIDN'T PULL ON YOUR BANNER CHILDE NEXT TIME ON YOUR NEXT RERUN I PROMISE 😭
❥Q: Who's a character that you've been wanting to have a rerun that haven't had yet recently?

The while interaction made me bawl. And the fact that ingrid posted it on instagram

wow, two beautiful and heartwarming stories featuring mapi and engen to share.
for the first one, it's a very sweet and wholesome interaction! so ingrid engen did a photo dump from yesterday's match and posted this photo:
Tumblr media
a twitter user then re-posted it, and then the woman in the photo found that post and commented:
"my dad and me 😜. he has just been released from the hospital and didn't want to miss this match, nor to miss seeing the player he admires the most. my mom was there too ☺️."
and the same user posted this sweet photo, which mapi found and liked on her own twitter profile:
Tumblr media
and for the second story, after the untimely passing of one of the moms, i just love that for this norwegian family, especially the kids, that they are able to have this super special moment and experience meeting both mapi and ingrid. just seeing the happiness on those kids' faces. wow!
and for those with the financial means and can purchase the star pass experience, it truly does make for wonderful memories!
Tumblr media
and it looks like mapi has recognized this little fan before too! the mother posted what a big fan she is and mapi commented! too cute.

Memories - Sirius Black X Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Harry finds an old notebook that belonged to Sirius during his Hogwarts days. In his scruffy handwriting, in an old dusty journal found in Sirius's bedroom is the story of Sirius' first real love.
A/N: Fluff, nostalgia, a little bit of angst if you look too hard. The reader is feminine, using she/her pronouns. Oneshot - blurb is very short but very sweet.
I made a friend today on the train to Hogwarts. She is very sweet and seems very nice. She had a ribbon in her hair, I thought that she looked nice. we talked and she said that she liked my hair too. I also made some new friends. I got sorted into Gryffindor house, it's crazy since my family is all from Slytherin house. I'm sure Mother will be so upset. She is always upset about something.
Harry read aloud to his curious friends, Hermione leaned over his shoulder curiously to look at the small dark grey journal, it was tatted beaten-down bound with leather, covered in dust, but well used.
"Keep reading, Harry," Hermione said gently, knowing that he wasn't reading it with malicious intent, but instead in an attempt to feel closer to his godfather. he turned a few pages until a page caught his eye, and began reading once more.
Reg and I got into a quarrel over some things that didn't really matter. he says I should be more concerned with our family. Reg and I used to be close, but after my third year, he became cold. I love my brother, but I hate to see him hanging around those gits. Malfoy in particular, but I know he is happy now as he has joined the Slytherin team. he's their seeker, but he's no match for Gryffindor this year.
This entry made Harry smile slightly, and chuckle. he continued to flip pages, it was heartwarming. He turned the pages, looking through some messy potions class notes and annotations, and an entry about the marauders map, and how he saw Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail.) sneaking out every night to sneak food from the kitchens. One page, in particular, caught his eye.
I Love Her.
I have loved her every day I've known her. She is brilliant, her eyes sparkle when she speaks, her smile is so bright it lights up the room as if you'd cast Lumos. She's incredibly intelligent, but kind. She's always been gentle with me. I've never met another like her.
I wish that I could make this all go away. All the secrets, the war, the hatred. I wish we could start a family one day, live in a little cottage, and raise children far away from here. We'd visit James and Lily every Christmas, and Remus on halloween. I could give her my mother's ring. I doubt Regulus would mind. We could be so happy. I remember the first day we met. I think i knew then that she was special. She has been unconditionally devoted to me. The night my mother burned my name off our family tree she held me in her arms as i cried and i finally felt what home is supposed to feel like. I wrote her a letter, expressing my yearning for her. I plan to give it to her very soon, along with a locket I picked out. Lily insisted on the dainty silver chain with a locket of our picture from our first year together, she even helped me enchant to image to capture y/n's smile as she sat next to me. she say's it's sentimental, and that girls like this sort of thing.
I never had a home, truly. just four walls surrounding me. My own mother disgraced my name, Regulus has been absent in my life. I'm thankful for my friends but my love for y/n is like no other. i just wish want her to feel the way i do, i hope she does. With everything, she can not get involved it's too dangerous. But I will love her anyway. The kind of love that could break the most heinous curse.
Harry stood for a moment, looking over his godfather's handwriting. it was sentimental. "I wonder if we could find her," Harry offered hopefully. "There's no mention of a last name." Ron pointed out. "I'm sure we could ask someone, if she knew the black family she can't be too terribly hard to find," Hermione said, offering a comforting hand on Harry's shoulder. "I think Sirius would love that."

Honestly, I’ve seen this IF around Tumblr for a while but I never got to read it because I thought it just wans’t going to interest me. BUT LIKE- hello?!?! I was wrong 💀 The demo was so cute and heartwarming with the pups and everything AND BELAAA they’re so sweet I can’t 😭!!
My little ask is not much I was just wondering if you have any general idea on how many chapters the book will have. ❤️
Thats all lol, I can’t wait for more content and good luck with the story!❤️🐺🌕✨
Omg thank you so much for your ask anon❤ I know that werewolves are oversaturated, but I always found that the setting and dynamics end up being the same over and over. With this, I want to explore the more animalistic side of shifting, not in a negative way but in a bonding, trusting one. With traditions and dynamics that were not forced, but simply those of a family. Maybe the different vibe is why people have said to me that they weren't initially interested in this IF but then they got into it.
(Sorry for rambling)
As for your question, this is a game that was meant to be a single book, and rather compact in size, with around 10 chapters total. I want to finish it one day, so I hope I can manage a story that has a small cast and that has a linear plot. Still, I plan on doing my best every chapter so that the finished game can be satisfying and hopefully beloved.

Hi
Can you recommend me Bat-family comics to read? Which ones do you like?
Heyyyy
I would love it!
DISCLAIMER Keep it in mind I'm a casual reader so my recs might not be the most "this is every issue they are together" or the longer ones!
Let's go!
Nightwing Annual (2021)
Dick & Jason focused
This is one of my favorites ones, it focuses both on Dick's and Jason's relationship as Nightwing and Robin and Nightwing and Redhood.
The dialogue is great, it has both it's really funny bits but also it's really wholesome ones too and it's full of heartwarming moments.
Tumblr media
I absolutely adore the way they handled Jason's Robin and acknowledges his violent tendencies without judging him for it.
Tumblr media
He's not portrayed as overly violent and reckless, but as a normal teenager having normal reactions given the things he had to deal in his past.
My only criticism is Jason still using that damn crowbar and how they kept drawing Jason shorter the Nightwing for some reason. I think it was to accentuate the "younger brother" feelings so I forgive the artist.
But it's pretty funny.
He looks like short king
Robin & Batman
Dick and Bruce focused
Tumblr media
Oh this one, this one it's so good, so good that almost got me crying on main. It's really beautiful, I wasn't the happiest about how Bruce behaved in the comic but it sat in a fine line between Batdad and Bruce being a terrible father/person.
Tumblr media
He is too hard on Robin, but it does show how he is trying.
Tumblr media
The art is goddamn beautiful, it has this watercolor look and Dick looks adorable on it.
It also goes deep in Dick's feelings about being Robin and what the whole jig means to him, it respects Dick's relationship with Bruce but without forgetting the love and the moments he had with his biological parents.
It's just really, really beautiful a goddamn gem between the many mistakes DC made with them two over those years.
For Tim and Dick I really recomend
Batman Prodigal (1997)
Note: The whole Kightfell series is great for a Bruce, Dick and Tim read. But for the Batfam feelings you can just focus on the prodigal parts.
Dick & Tim focused
The only thing you have to know to catch up is:
1. Bane broke Bruce's back and dignity, so he couldn't still be Batman.
2. Bruce found this guy called Jean Paul to fill for him.
3. Jean Paul is really fond of punishment and violence and the good ol' catholic guilt and goes a little bit too rogue as Batman for everyone's liking.
4. Bruce takes the mantle from Jean Paul and Nightwing fills in as the new Batman.
I wouldn't call exactly brotherly, because Tim wasn't adopted yet in the timeline this was published but they have their moments.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
New talent show case DC #2017
Duke and Jason focused
Tumblr media
This is also a favorite. It's a short story (unfortunately) but every single panel is worth it.
It's basically Jason and Duke bonding moment between fighting some baddies and trying to clown each other on the way. 10/10 will always recommend.
Robin War
Jason & Duke & Tim & Damian
Tumblr media
This one I've read recently (thanks for the asks people send to me y'all are fucking great) and it's a fucking gem!
It shows a lot their chemistry on the battlefield and how fucking insufferable they are around each other. It also shows how Duke fits as a glove in this family of misfits even before he was an "official member".
Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual (2016)
Another Dick and Jason focused!
Oh this one is a blast! It's also short but so goddamn worth it.
Tumblr media
Basically Jason and the Outlaws take a gig in a circus to track a Russian bad guy (gotta love how comic books have unresolved beef with Russians until this day) and well it's a circus so how can you not call Dick Grayson?
It's so goddamn funny and it has no right to be, it still very close in the timeline where Dick and Jason were definitely not in good terms, so their interaction it's all so awkward it's a joy really.
We also got a flashback from Dick and younger Jason as Robin and even the flashback is goddamn hilarious, I had such a good time reading it that it's a must read!
Now If you're here for the angst and general feeling's™
I would highly recomend.
- Nightwing Year One (Dick & Bruce)
- Death in the Family (Jason & Bruce & Dick)
- Red Robin (Tim & Dick / Tim & Damian / minor Tim & Cass / Minor Bruce & Tim)
Note: They don't interact much in this run but when they do it hurts. It also can help you understand the beef between Tim and Damian better.
- DCeased (Damian & Steph / minor Damian & Jason)
Note: It's one of the many, many DC aus but this one it's 'pretty' good (it's decent). Definitely not Batfam focused but it has one one of my favorite Damian & Steph and Damian & Jason moments. It's also one of my favorites interpretations of Damian, he gets so sweet and mature over the years that passes in the comic and his reencounter with Jason rewrote my entirety brain chemistry.
Also unfortunately it's the only time we get to see Damian and Jon growing up together :')
- DC vs Vampires ( Batfam (except Duke because the author is a coward) specially Tim & Damian / Tim & Bruce / Dick & Almost everybody )
Note: Okay this one is a fucking car ride, a rollercoaster if you will. And it's ANOTHER DC au but with yeah VAMPIRES so buckle-up.
It has major Batfam moments in the beginning and one of my favorites Damian and Tim interactions ( I'm going to reblog this with photos because Tumblr is homophobic and isn't letting me add more photos in this shit >:( ). Then it goes hard on betrayal (trying not to add spoilers) and feelings so get ready for that.
I unfortunately haven't finished (casual reader remember that) but the much I've read was really, really good.
It gets very silly very quickly as anything made with vampires generally get (unfortunately they butchered a lot of characters in the process) but if you go head empty no thoughts you're going to get a lot of fun and maybe cry a little if that gets to you.
So this is it. I'm sure it has more of it, and oh I'm sure I forgot a lot of it but those are the one's I could get from the top of my head, so I hope you and all of the people who want to follow it have fun!
Also if someone has more recommendations feel free to add on the Reblogs, I'm sure I will eat it up anyway.

Six reasons to watch Our Flag Means Death
You’ve heard of the dread pirate Blackbeard, but did you know he sailed with Stede Bonnet, aka The Gentleman Pirate? Our Flag Means Death addresses the mystery of why the two should form an alliance and answers it in a surprisingly heartwarming, if not entirely historically accurate, way.
Without wanting to give the game away to those who haven’t watched the first three episodes of season one yet, with the arrival of a certain pirate we see this workplace comedy transform into a love story that explores identity, acceptance, and the search for belonging. Our Flag shows that even unloveable outcasts can find love at any age and that the family we find are the ones worth fighting for.
Here are six reasons why you should watch it (or to help you convince everyone in your life to watch it if they haven’t yet).
1) Our Flag Means Death takes its key themes of love, loss and longing, found family and belonging and sends you on an emotional rollercoaster interspersed with hilarious moments and delightful absurdity. It’s at one moment hilarious, the next tender and thought-provoking.
Tumblr media
2) With its racially diverse cast and lgbtq+ representation, Our Flag Means Death showcases and celebrates diversity. It tackles serious issues, such as homophobia, racism, physical disability and mental illness, and handles them with grace, while at the same time managing to be genuinely funny.
Tumblr media
3) Thanks to the dedicated creators, fantastic writers, wonderful set and costume design and an outstanding performances from a brilliant ensemble cast who embody their characters, this wonderfully quirky and brilliant show is a joy to watch.
Tumblr media
4) Music plays an important role in telling Our Flag Means Death’s story. The show is a musical masterpiece thanks to an exquisite soundtrack that thoughtfully provokes an emotional response to some of the finest music-accompanied scenes in TV history.
Tumblr media
5) Our Flag Means Death’s cast, who are made up of some of the best comic actors from around the world, deliver phenomenal performances as relatable characters with idiosyncrasies and imperfections that evolve with the story.
Tumblr media
6) But the true magic of Our Flag Means Death comes from the chemistry between the lead characters and their stellar performances. Our Flag Means Death showcases the range of Taika Waitit and Rhys Darby’s talent not only in comedy, but also as dramatic actors.

do you have any non-explicit fic recs? im having trouble finding some😅
here are some of my favourite non-explicit good omens fics
[you can request more fic recs here]
Stockholm's Other Syndrome by WaitingToBeBroken (T, 5k) Grand Duke of Hell Crowley kidnaps Supreme Archangel Aziraphale so he can finally do all those vile, nasty things he has always wanted to do to him. Like feed him sushi or force him to take a walk in the park. Hold his hand so he doesn't escape. Truly disgusting things.
Show me where the Nightingale sings by Sabotaged_Words (G, 6k) After settling into their new home in the South Downs there are still things to process for Aziraphale and Crowley before they can start a new chapter of their life. But winter is turning into spring. There is magic abroad in the air. And finally, the nightingale is back.
Fever Dream by AppleSeeds (T, 8k) When Anathema declines Crowley's invitation to go out for Halloween to stay in and look after her roommate who's feeling unwell after his flu vaccination, Crowley abandons his own plans and heads over there to do something to help Aziraphale (who he happens to have an enormous crush on) feel better too.
Slow by write_away (T, 9k) It started like this: A boy with the ability to warp reality met an angel and a demon and he made assumptions. You might say it started like this: An angel and a demon found a marriage contract hung on the wall of the angel's bookshop. They didn't question it. It also could have started like this: Once upon a time, the angel told the demon he went too fast. The demon took it to heart.   Aziraphale and Crowley find themselves somehow married. Crowley fears going too fast. Aziraphale forges ahead. Neither know how to ask questions of each other.
where the lights burn low and you're only mine by hopelessromantic549 (T, 13k) For the most part, Aziraphale sees himself as a rational angel who follows a consistent moral code. That has been his identity for millennia, and it comforts him, gives him stability in an ever-changing universe. What he feels for Crowley is decidedly not rational, and that's more terrifying than the Great Plan failing him. (Or, Aziraphale and Crowley move into a cottage together after the world doesn't end, and Aziraphale tries to be brave.)
muddle through somehow by curtaincall (T, 27k) Aziraphale Fell runs a successful food blog, Celestial Comestibles, where he shares mouthwatering recipes and heartwarming stories about his happy domestic life in a cottage with his husband and son. As promotion for his upcoming cookbook, his publishers run a contest: one lucky winner will get to spend Christmas with Aziraphale and his family. What the publishers don't know is that the real Aziraphale Fell is a single city-dweller. And if he wants to keep up his happily married persona, he'll have to acquire a cottage, husband, and son before Christmas. As it happens, his friend and neighbor Anthony Crowley has his nephew staying with him for the holidays. One fake marriage proposal later, and everything seems tickety-boo--as long as Aziraphale can keep from developing inconveniently real feelings for his pretend husband…
Fifteen Years of Heartache by mondlichtmaus (T, 20k) Crowley was roused from his nap by the sound of somebody opening the door. He didn't move. Maybe they would go away. "Excuse me?" someone called. They weren't going away. Crowley rose, lifting his head to squint at the intruder. A broad figure, silhouetted by the light of the hallway. He couldn't make out his face, eyes still bleary from sleep. Just a halo of light framing his head. "What?" Crowley grumbled. There was a moment of silence, then the intruder spoke again. "Anthony?" - They're teachers. They're in love. They're oblivious.
Flowers From Hell by entanglednow (T, 41k) In which Aziraphale makes more of an effort to be involved with Crowley's interests and hobbies.
Put Out The Fire by Aleakim (T, 133k) Aziraphale finds himself in a very awkward position as some sort of spell makes everyone merely glancing in his direction instantly fall deeply and desperately in love with him. Absolutely everyone. Well, apart from Crowley, that is. And while both angel and demon search for a solution to this fairly unique problem, Crowley can’t help wondering whether Aziraphale might finally figure out some things he kept hidden for so very long.
Married at First Sight by Aracloptia (T, 146k) “Well, that was a thing,” Crowley said once they were out of earshot. Without talking about it, they were both heading down the field, towards the lake where the photographer (and likely a few more people from the TV crew) was waiting. “That was a wedding,” Aziraphale replied, surprised at his own annoyance that somebody called a wedding a ‘thing’. “Yeah, obviously, didn’t miss that part,” Crowley said with a shrug, and waved abruptly in Aziraphale’s general direction. “Neither did you, from the looks of it, since you’re dressed like a wedding bride and everything.” “Excuse me, I am a—“ Aziraphale stopped himself, and started over. In which Aziraphale ends up marrying a rude stranger who wears sunglasses.
[and here are two of mine]
Where a Canvas Blooms by foolishlovers (T, 3k) It’s an Arrangement. Aziraphale knows this. He knows a lot of things, and others he doesn’t, but the most important things, he knows. He knows that the cheeky redhead in his arms smiles and purrs when he runs his fingers through his hair, knows that Crowley’s hands are rough from working outside, knows the softness of his heart. Aziraphale doesn’t know he’s in love with Crowley until he does. But it’s just an Arrangement. Is it?
Every Part of Me by foolishlovers (T, 10k) Heartthrob rockstar Antonia Harmonia, better known as Anthony J. Crowley offstage, has safeguarded his singing career from his best friend and long-term crush, Aziraphale, for nearly two decades. But when Aziraphale stumbles upon Crowley’s secret at one of his concerts, Crowley is suddenly confronted with unexpected consequences. Could the best of both worlds be within his reach? A Hannah Montana AU.

One kiss

Happy reading <3
I do NOT give permission for my work to be translated or reposted on here or any other site.
When Chris woke up in the morning, there was a soft sigh that leaves his lips. He woke up with heartwarming happiness instead of the sadness he used to experience every morning. There was no longer a sense of loneliness for him. Of course, he has a big family where they come together often and his friends where a smile never leaves his face but, at the end of the day, when he came home, he was alone.
Or worse, he was feeling lonely. Two different things. When you can be alone sometimes, the feeling of loneliness is like a disease that eats you out from the inside. According to Chris, it’s the worst feeling ever.
But thanks to you and his daughter, he never has to feel that emotion again. Because now, when he arrives home, he sees his daughter playing with her toys, a wife who watches that same daughter with such gratitude in her eyes, and peace.
Every time Rana’s little eyes look up and catch her father, Chris swears his heart skips a beat. Her eyes shine and a wonderful sound leaves her mouth. She giggles, dropping everything she has, and runs towards her favorite man in the entire world. Chris is already ready to catch her, on his knees with open arms, about the hug the best present you got him. And when that magical moment happens and Rana hugs him, Chris feels like he is in heaven. His eyes close as he lets her smell fill up his nostrils and embraces that little girl as tightly as he can. The world around him gets quiet, and only the two of them exist, at that moment. Then, Chris opens his eyes, and sees you, standing there. A smile shows on his face that reflects yours. The eyes that resemble Rana’s are sparkling, and your hands are in your back pockets, patiently waiting for your turn.
You know how important those little moments are since Chris was away a lot, so you never interrupted. But then Chris puts Rana back down and reaches out for you, his wife. His hands are touching the fabrics you’re wearing while his eyes are trying to take your features in. His lips catch yours in a quick kiss, while his hands don’t want to leave your waist for a while. His face finds a perfect spot in your neck, so he snuggles there and takes a deep breath. It’s his favorite perfume. A quiet “ I missed you so much” leaves his lips, like he doesn’t want anyone else to hear. Your hands found comfort on his shoulders, tugging him close to your body. His heartbeat was the only thing you heard, and you just closed your eyes and listened.
And this was the routine that Chris created with his family. So he knew that when he woke up today, it would be the same. He would leave for work, think about you guys all day, come back, and would be greeted with happiness. When he looked next to him, Chris saw you were peacefully sleeping. He wished he could control himself from not touching you, but he was selfish. So he slowly reached out to you, his hands taking place on your waist and his head on your neck, just like when he comes from the set. He places a few kisses on your neck and watches you slowly wake up.
“Good morning, honey.” He speaks first, seeing that it takes longer for you to wake up. You clean your eyes, look left and right, and finally look at your husband, who is hugging you from behind.
“Good morning, handsome. What time is it?” Your voice sounded like rash paper, but to Chris, it was the sexiest sound in the world.
“Just gone 8. Rana should wake up any time now.” A sigh leaves your lips, just like it did Chris’ when he first woke up. But much do his displease you got up.
“Hey, hey, hey. Where are you going? Let’s stay in bed for a while. I’m not ready to leave you yet.” It sounded like a joke, the way Chris said it, but you knew it wasn’t. Chris was always needy when he just woke up, another habit Rana got from her dad.
“Baby, I’ve got a lot of work to do, and just like you said, Rana is about to wake up, so I have to make her breakfast.” Chris was having none of it. His pouting session already started and his hands reached out to you, trying to get to the position you guys were 2 minutes ago.
“ Come on, gimme a kiss, please.” Unfortunate to him, his little tricks didn’t work.
“Chris, no! I have a morning breath and just, no! Get your ass up, make the bed, brush your teeth with me and get your ass downstairs. Chop, Chop mister!” Just when you said your last word, some noises came from your daughters, showing that she woke up.
“Yup, that’s her. I’ll take care of her. Just do what I just told you and meet me downstairs.” After you left the room, you heard Chris screaming “Yes Ma’am” and it made you laugh. “ Ah, you’re such a little boy, Christopher,” you said to yourself while shaking your head. It helped that he was cute being so.
When you entered your daughter’s room, you met with a sill little girl, her hair everywhere, and the biggest smile on her face. Your face lit up, and you fake gasped while walking to your daughter.
“ Good morning, baby! Oh my god aren’t you just the cutest baby ever? Yes you are, yes you are!”
The only thing Rana did in response was laugh, and it just made your heart grow a size bigger. After changing her diaper, you went downstairs, to put her in her chair and prepared her dinner. Usually, Chris and you did it together, but seeing that he was still grumpy, you did it on your own. Rana was busy with the bright color book and dodger was still sleeping, so without interruptions, her breakfast should be done in a couple of minutes. But you forgot about the biggest interrupter, your husband.
After he did every task you told him, he went downstairs and saw that you were busy. He gave a kiss on Rana’s forehead and went straight to you, his wife, who looked the prettiest in her black sleeping dress. He hugged from behind and left a big kiss on your neck.
“Oh my god, Chris, stop!” His hands started tickling your sides and you couldn’t help yourself but laugh.
“Why? I did everything you asked me, baby. I want something in return.” After saying that, he took you for a kiss, his hands down touching your back, until it reached your ass while yours stayed on his neck.
“Chris, stop, I told you, I haven’t brushed my teeth yet.” You broke the kiss and checked Rana, who was still busy with her book.
“I literally don’t give a shit, Y/N. I wanted to kiss my wife, and I did. And I’m about to do it again.” With that, he knocked your breath away when he connected your lips with his, once again. Your head was feeling dizzy, and you didn’t know if it was because you ate nothing or the power of the kiss. His hands, were everywhere on your body and it lit on fire when it touched your skin. Your noses were bumping and tongues were battling for dominance until Chris won. If the two of you were immortal this kiss would’ve lasted for ages. But unfortunately, you had to breathe, so you broke the kiss, once again. Chris was just like you, out of breath. Your head was still dizzy, and you definitely knew that it the kiss was the reason. Your cheeks were warming up like you had a fever, and your mind was empty. the two of you kept staring each other until Rana’s voice distracted the both of you.
“Daddy, up. Daddy!”
Chris looked back, seeing her daughter’s arms in the air, patiently waiting to get her out of her chair.
“I guess I have to take care of my other girl now.”
Your brain didn’t process until Chris picked up Rana and went to the living room. You didn’t know how, but Chris made you feel that way. Like a liquid. No thoughts. Just Liquid.
But then, when you saw Chris playing with Rana and er big happy face, you thought about how happy you were. And how lucky.
The only thing that you did was sigh. Chris and you made eye contact again and smiled.
And just like that, that day became one of your favorite days, ever.

Masterlist of my “12 Days of Fandom” recs, inspired by this post. As always, please check the tags and author's notes before reading. Enjoy!
🔸 Terminal Lucidity by @romaine2424 (Drarry, HD Career Fair, rated G, 3K) This bittersweet fic has Harry putting his abilities as Master of Death to good use by comforting those close to death themselves. We see him at work here, adeptly easing the way for someone dear to him with compassion and care. I found this story incredibly moving and a beautiful portrait of family ties in the face of an impending loss. Featuring older, established Drarry and the Black-Malfoy family.
🔹 Our Objective Remains Unchanged by @citrusses (Drarry, rated E, 46K) Gorgeously and vividly written, this university rowing AU drew me in right from the get-go, despite the fact that Muggle AUs are not my typical cuppa. The enemies-to-lovers tension is perfectly paced as Harry and Draco fight for the same spot on the Oxford team. Citrusses did a fantastic job translating their backgrounds and personalities (as well as those of other familiar characters from the books) into this world. Class divisions and the pressure of a highly-public sporting event stand in very effectively for Harry’s canon experiences. All in all, the story has the poignancy and drama of a lush coming of age film, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
🔸 The Pile by @b-vul (Drarry, not rated, about 1.5K) This hilarious ficlet was born out of littlewinnow’s tumblr post about Veela!Harry performing an intricate mating dance to impress Draco. Delightfully, it’s from Harry’s POV as he blindly “trusts his instincts” to guide him into increasingly bizarre actions. And the evolution of Draco’s reaction is pure comedy gold. I’ve come back to reread this one a couple of times, and it never fails to have me in stitches. (The tumblr thread also contains adorable art by regretfulcorrine!)
🔹 Shine on, You Crazy Diamond by @lagerloutfic (Drarry, HD Mpreg Fest, rated E, 42K) This is one of those fics that you can’t stop reading once you start (something I confirmed this morning when I went to skim through it for this rec and wound up spending a few happy hours devouring the entire thing again). It’s laugh-out-loud funny and deliciously smutty, with a full cast of delightful side characters and just the right amount of feelings. The story begins with the discovery of Draco’s surprise pregnancy, then switches to a long flashback of Harry’s gay awakening and his fast sexual/slow emotional burn relationship with Draco. The entire fic has a joyful feel—banter-filled pub nights, chaotic family dinners, audacious curse breaking—culminating in the baby’s arrival, which left me in happy tears and wishing for another 40K of this fabulous story. Featuring confident Harry, supportive friends & family, hot Charlie, and some shamelessly kinky Unspeakables.
🔸 Silhouettes by @sweet-s0rr0w (Draco/Ron/Harry, Dronarry Fest, rated E, 16K) Draco/Ron/Harry is not a ship I’d ventured into before I read this fic, but I’m so glad I did! Sweet’s writing always hits the right spot in my brain, and her alternating POVs and spot-on characterizations of all three boys are delightful. I especially loved Ron’s sexy self-assurance here. The unique magical theory around sentient houses is fascinating and ultimately poignant, once Draco gets to the root cause of the Burrow’s behavior. Sweet-sorrow surely lived up to her username with this one, weaving grief with humor and a heartwarming resolution.
🔹 Harry Potter Gets a Job (A 106-Page Comic) by dustmouth (Drarry, HD Career Fair, rated M) Dustmouth’s comics never miss, I swear! In this one, we find Harry overcoming his distrust of Draco with the help of the Weasleys, especially Ron (who is definitely up to something himself). All of my favorite Dustmouth elements are here: the expressive characters, Draco’s wild wardrobe choices, and punchy dialogue galore. Also featuring drunken shenanigans at the Burrow, adorable Teddy, and some first-class Slytherin-ing by Draco to win his man (and find Harry that job). What a treat!
🔸 the earth from a distance by spqr (Drarry, rated E, 15K) A whirlwind time-travel fic with breezy humor, bedsharing, and spqr’s unmatched smut with feelings… What more could you ask for in a fic? Oh, yeah: fantastic worldbuilding for Hogwarts in 1599, brilliantly clever Draco, and a dash of enemies to lovers. I can never get enough of this author!
🔹 A Year In The Life by @ladderofyears (Drarry, HD Career Fair, rated M, 19K) I swear, the author conjured a little bit of magic to write this story. It’s told entirely with 50-word microfics, one journal entry for each day of 2006 (an impressive feat, by itself!), and yet it reads just as smoothly as any traditional fic. Draco’s voice is perfect here, full of wit and subtle emotion, as his and Harry’s developing romance takes a sharp turn with an unexpected pregnancy.  Draco’s anticipation, worry, and joy are mixed with deftly-chosen details of his daily life, all captured with Emma’s trademark tenderness and warmth. This fic is a perfect comfort read for family feels and gentle romance.
🔸 try to fix you by @maesterchill (Harry/Ron/Hermione, HP Snooze Fest, rated M, 2K) A beautifully and tenderly written hurt/comfort fic set in the aftermath of the Battle of Hogwarts. Ron is the glue that holds the trio together here, caring for Harry and Hermione with gentle devotion. There’s no dialogue needed to tell this story, just Ron’s perceptive POV that captures the grief and love that compel him. I have a soft spot for this triad forming immediately after the war, as a way of holding onto each other and holding themselves together. Maester’s fic makes their transition from friends to lovers feel like the first step towards healing.
🔹 The Scent of Soft Rains by @dodgerkedavra (Drarry, HD Career Fair, rated E, 20K) When Harry is left housebound and isolated by a traumatic injury, magical prosthetist Draco gets called into help. But Harry’s struggles go far beyond the physical ones. This recovery fic combines magical and non-magical therapeutic treatments in a way I can’t remember reading before. The hurt/comfort is just as it should be—both heart-wrenching and soothing—but there are enough surprising revelations to keep the story from feeling predictable. Draco is wonderfully unflinching and patient, and the ending left me crying happy tears. With lovely, restrained prose and vivid magical imagery, this one’s an absolute stunner.
🔸 Connecting Lines, Connecting Crimes by @sleepstxtic (Drarry, H/D Career Fair, rated M, 15K) With its intriguing careers, fascinating magical theory, and well-researched worldbuilding, this story captured my attention immediately, and the mystery at the heart of it kept me engrossed. This was one of the more thought-provoking fics I’ve had the pleasure of reading, exploring the intersection of magic, the environment, and colonialism. Harry’s first-person POV is lovely, and it feels like we’re learning to love India and the people he meets along with him. The getting-back-together romance is gentle but satisfying, propelled by pent-up yearning that’s palpable. There’s so much to enjoy here, all in only 15K words!
🔹 Waking Up Slow by @sweet-s0rr0w and @ihopeyoubothstaysafefromharm (Drarry, H/D Wireless Fest, rated E, 22K) The first word that comes to mind while reading this fic is charming. First there’s the novel setting: a Christmas shop in the tourist destination of Cheddar Gorge, in the middle of a July heatwave. Next, there’s the shop itself, so imaginatively described and full to the brim with clever Muggle and magical details. Then there are the delightful OCs, Draco’s seemingly unhinged enthusiasm for all things Christmas (including ridiculous jumpers), and Harry’s complete disregard for professional behavior. But underneath the playful banter and humor, there’s also a layer of poignancy to tug at the heartstrings, especially when we find out the backstories behind Harry’s and Draco’s unlikely careers. And to top it all off, like the glowing star on the tree, are Joy’s exuberant, colorful illustrations. This is a Christmas-y fic I’d reread any time of the year.
Thanks to all these brilliant creators for sharing their work with us!
Happy New Year!

— MENDING HEARTS . [니키]
Tumblr media
genre: general, romance, hurt/comfort, young adult
pairing: Ni-ki x fem!reader
synopsis: Ni-ki, the popular but cold high school heartthrob, meets a kind-hearted girl. Through her warmth and compassion, he discovers the healing power of love, mending his broken past and transforming his life to heartwarming
Niki, the handsome and popular student at Westwood High, had always been the enigma of the school. With his chiseled features and icy demeanor, he was the heartthrob every girl dreamed of dating. Yet, he seemed untouchable, aloof, and utterly unapproachable.
You, on the other hand, were the complete opposite. Your kindness was renowned throughout the school. Always willing to lend a helping hand, your gentle nature had won the hearts of many. Little did you know that your warm attitude would soon begin to melt the icy walls surrounding Niki's heart.
One crisp morning, you found yourself standing by your locker, lost in thought about the upcoming charity event. Niki approached, his usual stoic expression firmly in place.
"Hey," you greeted him with a warm smile.
Niki barely acknowledged your presence, merely nodding in response.
"Are you okay?" you asked, genuine concern in your eyes.
He hesitated for a moment, his icy exterior cracking ever so slightly. "I'm fine. Just... tired."
You could see the exhaustion in his eyes, a hint of vulnerability you had never seen before. It intrigued you.
As the weeks passed, you continued to reach out to Niki, offering a friendly ear and a caring heart. Slowly but surely, he started to open up. Late-night conversations about his broken family, his loneliness, and his fear of getting close to anyone filled your nights.
One evening, as you sat on a park bench under a blanket of stars, he turned to you with a soft smile. "You know, you're different from anyone I've ever met. You make me feel... lucky."
Your heart skipped a beat as you realized the significance of those words. Niki, the untouchable heartthrob, had softened because of your kindness, and he was beginning to realize just how fortunate he was to have you in his life.
Little did you both know that this was just the beginning of a love story that would mend two broken hearts and forever change the course of your high school lives.
As days turned into weeks, your bond with Niki deepened. You spent more time together, learning about each other's likes, dislikes, and dreams. The once cold and distant Niki was now your confidant, sharing his innermost thoughts and fears.
One afternoon, you sat together in the quiet corner of the school library, surrounded by the scent of old books and the soft murmur of students studying. Niki was engrossed in a book, but his usual focus seemed to waver.
"Hey," you whispered, breaking his concentration. "Is something bothering you?"
Niki closed the book and sighed. "It's just... my past, you know? I've never really talked about it with anyone."
You nodded, understanding the weight of his words. "You don't have to if you're not ready, but I'm here to listen whenever you are."
He hesitated for a moment, then began to open up about his childhood. He spoke of a broken home, of parents who had drifted apart, and of feeling like an outcast in his own family. His voice trembled at times, but you held his hand, offering silent support.
"I used to put up walls," he admitted, his eyes filled with vulnerability. "I thought if I looked perfect and acted tough, no one would see how broken I was inside. But you, you saw through all that."
You squeezed his hand gently, reassuring him that your feelings were genuine. "Niki, you're not alone anymore. I'm here for you, and I'm glad you trust me enough to share this with me."
His eyes met yours, and in that moment, you felt a connection stronger than ever before. Niki's past had made him build walls, but your kindness was slowly chipping away at them.
Little did you both know that as you continued to unravel Niki's past, you would also uncover the depth of your own feelings for each other. The road ahead was uncertain, but with each passing day, your bond grew stronger, and the healing had only just begun.
With each passing day, Niki's transformation from the cold, aloof heartthrob to a more open and emotionally vulnerable person became even more evident. It was as if the kindness you had shown him had breathed life into his dormant emotions.
One sunny afternoon, you found yourselves in the school's garden, surrounded by blooming flowers and the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze. Niki watched a butterfly flutter by, lost in thought.
"You've changed me," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
You turned to him, your heart swelling with affection. "Niki, it's not just me. You've changed yourself too, by allowing yourself to feel and to trust."
He smiled, a genuine and warm expression that seemed to light up the entire garden. "You're right. I used to think that being perfect and popular was all that mattered. But now, I've found something more important."
You leaned in closer, curiosity dancing in your eyes. "What's that?"
Niki gently took your hand and looked into your eyes. "I've found love, kindness, and someone who sees the real me."
Your heart skipped a beat as his words washed over you. Niki's transformation had brought you both closer than ever, and the connection between you was undeniable.
As the weeks turned into months, you navigated the ups and downs of high school life together. There were challenges, of course, but with Niki's newfound emotional depth and your unwavering support, you faced them head-on.
Little by little, Niki began to let go of the pain of his past, and together, you forged a brighter future. The journey was far from over, but with each day that passed, your love story became more profound, a testament to the power of kindness, love, and the healing of two hearts that had once been broken.
As the weeks passed, Niki's relationship with his mother continued to evolve. While they worked through their past and sought to rebuild their connection, it was clear that the bond between them was slowly mending.
However, Niki's relationship with you remained as strong as ever. Your support, kindness, and understanding had become an essential part of his life. Together, you navigated the challenges that arose from this unexpected family reunion, proving that love and resilience could conquer even the most complex of situations.
One evening, as you sat together in Niki's room, he turned to you with a soft smile. "I want you to know how much you mean to me," he began, his voice filled with sincerity.
Touched by his words, you leaned in closer, your eyes locked onto his. "Niki, you mean just as much to me. You've changed my life too, in ways I never expected."
He reached out and took your hand, his gaze unwavering. "I used to think I was alone in this world, that no one truly cared about me. But you, you've shown me what love and kindness can do. You've shown me that I deserve happiness."
Tears welled up in your eyes as you realized the depth of Niki's feelings. "Niki, you deserve all the happiness in the world, and I'll always be here to support you, no matter what."
His smile grew wider, and he pulled you into a warm embrace. In that moment, you both understood that your love was unbreakable, that it had weathered the storm of unexpected family reunions and still shone brighter than ever.
As Niki continued to rebuild his relationship with his mother and as your love story deepened, you both learned that love's resilience was a force to be reckoned with. Together, you were unstoppable, and the challenges that lay ahead only served to strengthen your bond.
Little did you know that your journey was far from over, and the trials of high school life and the complexities of family would continue to test your love. But with each hurdle you faced, you grew closer, proving that love could conquer all, as long as you had each other.
High school life, as tumultuous as it could be, brought its fair share of challenges and triumphs for both you and Niki. With each day, your love story continued to evolve, and the trials you faced only served to make you stronger.
One day, a misunderstanding at school led to rumors about Niki and a classmate. You watched as Niki's reputation was tarnished, and he faced the scrutiny of his peers. Through it all, you stood by him, offering unwavering support and belief in his character.
As the rumors subsided and the truth came to light, Niki realized the depth of your loyalty. "I don't know what I would have done without you," he admitted, gratitude shining in his eyes.
Your response was simple but heartfelt. "Niki, I'll always stand by you, no matter what. Our love is stronger than any rumor or gossip."
As the school year continued, you both prepared for the upcoming charity event, which had been the catalyst for your initial connection. It was a chance to give back to the community and showcase the love and kindness you had shared.
The night of the event arrived, and you and Niki worked tirelessly to ensure its success. The smiles on the faces of those you helped were a testament to the impact of your kindness and dedication.
Standing together under the starry sky, Niki took your hand and whispered, "This event wouldn't have been possible without your kindness, and neither would the transformation in my life."
You leaned in, your lips meeting his in a sweet, tender kiss. "Niki, our love and kindness have the power to change the world, one heart at a time."
With the charity event as a symbol of your love's triumph over adversity, you both knew that no challenge was too great to overcome as long as you had each other. High school life continued to test you, but with every trial, you emerged stronger and more in love than ever before.
Little did you know that the final chapters of your high school love story would bring both joy and heartache, but you were determined to face whatever came your way together, knowing that your love was unbreakable.
As the school year approached its end, the prospect of graduation loomed on the horizon. The journey that had begun with a cold and distant Niki and a kind-hearted you had now blossomed into a deep and unbreakable love.
The days leading up to graduation were filled with bittersweet moments. Niki's relationship with his mother had improved significantly, and you had become an integral part of their lives. The support of his family, coupled with your unwavering love, had transformed Niki into a confident and emotionally open young man.
On the day of the graduation ceremony, you and Niki stood side by side, wearing your caps and gowns. The auditorium was filled with the excited chatter of your fellow graduates and their families. You both looked out at the sea of faces, realizing that this was the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one.
As the principal gave the commencement speech, Niki leaned in and whispered, "I can't believe we've made it this far, and I couldn't have done it without you."
Tears welled up in your eyes as you turned to him. "Niki, we've faced so much together, and I know we'll conquer whatever lies ahead."
The ceremony continued, and as your names were called to receive your diplomas, you couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and hope. Your love had endured the trials of high school life and had emerged stronger than ever.
After the ceremony, you and Niki joined your families for a celebration. It was a joyful occasion, filled with laughter and love. Niki's mother had tears of pride in her eyes as she hugged both of you, grateful for the positive change you had brought to her son's life.
As the sun set on that memorable day, you and Niki found a quiet moment to reflect. "Our high school journey has come to an end," he said, "but our love story is just beginning."
You smiled, feeling the same optimism. "Niki, as long as we have each other, there's nothing we can't overcome."
With the world waiting to be explored and your love as a guiding light, you and Niki embarked on the next chapter of your lives, knowing that your high school love story was just the prologue to a lifetime of adventures and enduring love.
And so, as you walked hand in hand towards an uncertain but promising future, you knew that your love's graduation was only the beginning of a beautiful and enduring journey together.
With graduation behind you, you and Niki embraced the excitement and uncertainty that came with entering the next phase of your lives. College was on the horizon, promising new experiences and challenges.
You both had chosen different paths for higher education, but your love remained as strong as ever. Long-distance would be a test of your bond, but you were determined to make it work.
The first few months of college were a whirlwind of new faces, classes, and independence. You and Niki made it a point to communicate regularly, sharing your triumphs and struggles, no matter the distance between you.
One evening, as you video-called Niki, he smiled warmly at you through the screen. "I miss you," he admitted, his voice filled with longing.
You felt the same, but you knew that your love could withstand the miles. "I miss you too, Niki. We're growing and learning so much, and our love is only getting stronger."
As the semesters passed, you both faced the challenges of college life head-on. There were moments of doubt and loneliness, but the support and love you had for each other served as a constant source of strength.
During one of your visits home, Niki surprised you with a heartfelt letter. "I wanted to show you how much you mean to me," he explained as you opened it.
The letter was filled with memories of your high school days, of the trials and triumphs you had shared. "No matter the distance or the challenges we face," Niki wrote, "you'll always be the most important person in my life."
Tears of joy welled up in your eyes as you hugged him tightly. "Niki, I feel the same way. Our love has carried us through so much, and it will continue to do so."
As you both navigated the ups and downs of college, you realized that your high school love story was just the beginning of a lifetime of adventures and growth. Your love had proven to be resilient, and it would continue to flourish, no matter where life took you.
Little did you know that the chapters ahead would bring new experiences, challenges, and surprises, but you were ready to face them together, armed with the love and kindness that had brought you closer from the very beginning.
As college life progressed, your love story continued to evolve. The distance between you and Niki only seemed to make your bond stronger, as you both worked tirelessly to maintain your connection.
Weekends and holidays became cherished moments when you could be together, and the time spent apart was a testament to your commitment. Your shared dreams and aspirations were a driving force, inspiring you both to work toward your goals while supporting each other.
One sunny afternoon, you and Niki took a long walk in the park, hand in hand. The autumn leaves danced around you, creating a picturesque scene.
Niki gazed into your eyes, his love evident in every word. "Do you remember our high school days, when we first met?"
You smiled, the memories of your journey together flooding back. "Of course, Niki. Those were the moments that brought us here."
He nodded, his voice filled with gratitude. "I'm thankful for all of it—the challenges, the love, and especially you. You've made my life so much richer."
Touched by his words, you leaned in for a sweet kiss. "Niki, you've made my life better too. Our love is the most precious thing I have."
As college life continued to shape you both, you encountered new experiences and friendships. But through it all, your love remained a constant, guiding you through the highs and lows.
One day, as you graduated from college, you looked out at the sea of faces in the audience. Niki was there, beaming with pride and love. It was a symbol of the journey you had undertaken together, from high school to college, and now, into the future.
With your diplomas in hand and your dreams on the horizon, you and Niki knew that your love story was far from over. It was a story of resilience, kindness, and unwavering support, one that would continue to inspire you as you embarked on the adventures that lay ahead.
Little did you know that the next chapters of your lives would bring new challenges and joys, but with your love as a constant companion, you were ready to face whatever came your way. Your love's journey was an enduring testament to the power of kindness and love in the face of life's trials and triumphs.
With college graduation behind you, the world was your oyster. You and Niki had come so far, from high school to college, and now you were both ready to take on the next great adventure life had in store.
You had both secured promising job opportunities in different cities, and the prospect of starting your careers was both thrilling and bittersweet. The thought of being physically closer after years of distance was exciting, but it also meant saying goodbye to the familiar routine of weekend visits and video calls.
On the eve of your departure, you and Niki sat together on the porch, watching the stars twinkle in the night sky. The air was filled with a mix of anticipation and nostalgia.
Niki took your hand, his gaze fixed on the stars. "We've come so far, haven't we?"
You nodded, your heart brimming with love. "We have, Niki. And I know that our love will carry us through whatever comes next."
He turned to you, his eyes filled with determination. "I believe in us, in our love. We can face anything as long as we're together."
The next few months were a whirlwind as you both settled into your new jobs and cities. The challenges of adulthood brought both excitement and uncertainty, but you faced them head-on, just as you had throughout your journey together.
Weekends became precious reunions, filled with laughter and the joy of simply being together. Your love was a constant reminder that, no matter the distance, you were each other's home.
As the years passed, you and Niki continued to grow both individually and as a couple. You faced new challenges and celebrated each other's achievements. Your love was a source of inspiration, reminding you to be kind and compassionate in a world that could sometimes be harsh.
One evening, as you looked out at the city lights from your apartment window, Niki wrapped his arms around you. "You know," he said, "our love story is still unfolding."
You smiled, leaning into his embrace. "And I can't wait to see where it takes us next."
Your love's next adventure was filled with endless possibilities, and you were both ready to embrace the journey, hand in hand. With your unwavering love and kindness as your compass, you knew that the chapters ahead would be as beautiful and meaningful as the ones that had come before.
And so, you and Niki continued to write the story of your love, one page at a time, knowing that together, you could conquer anything that came your way.
Years passed, and your love story continued to unfold, filled with the richness of shared experiences, unwavering support, and enduring kindness. The challenges you faced had only served to strengthen your bond, and your love had grown deeper with time.
One sunny day, as you and Niki sat together in a park, the sun casting a warm glow around you, he turned to you with a glimmer in his eye. "You know, I've been thinking about our journey together."
You looked at him, curious about what was on his mind. "What's been on your mind, Niki?"
He took a deep breath, his voice steady and filled with emotion. "I realize that our love has been the most beautiful and constant thing in my life. Through all the highs and lows, you've been my anchor."
Your heart swelled with love as you listened to his words. "Niki, you've been mine too. Our love has been a source of strength and happiness."
Niki reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. He opened it to reveal a beautiful ring, glistening in the sunlight. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, because you make every moment worth living. Will you marry me?"
Tears of joy welled up in your eyes as you nodded, your heart overflowing with love. "Yes, Niki, a thousand times yes."
The park erupted in applause as Niki slid the ring onto your finger, sealing your commitment to a lifetime of love and kindness. In that moment, you both knew that your love story had come full circle, from high school to college to adulthood, and now, to a lifetime together.
With your love story as a testament to the power of kindness, resilience, and unwavering support, you and Niki embarked on the greatest adventure of all—building a life together filled with love, laughter, and endless happiness.
And so, your love story continued, forever intertwined, a beautiful and enduring tale of two hearts that had found their home in each other's love.

snow ducks — pjs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in which park jisung loved snow ducks, but he loved you more.
a/n: merry christmas to those who celebrate! i’m back after almost a year (LOL) to drop this jack frost!jisung au that’s been rotting in my drafts ever since he’d dyed his hair for glimo T_T
warning/s: f!reader x jisung, mild profanity (like one or two), not proofread, fluff & angst if you squint, jisung and reader are CLUELESS, insinuations of a rough past, jisung as jack frost (because this is a warning in and of itself)
Tumblr media
jisung couldn’t have imagined getting used to a life where no one knew his name. a life where everyone seemed to walk right through his body even when he was standing directly in front of them, his dark blue jacket hanging loosely on his body—bare feet feeling numb despite the cold concrete beneath them.
alas, he didn’t really have a choice. waking up to the man in the moon telling him that he was special? that’s what thrusted him into his new lifestyle.
“jack frost?” the curious tone of a short brown haired girl tore his attention away from his dwindling thoughts—she was staring cluelessly up at her father, who watched her from the family’s porch.
jisung huffs, a small smirk already pulling at his lips. he’s heard this conversation a thousand times, but he was always curious as to how each parent would spin the story and he in-turn was pleasantly surprised at the amount of different takes each parent would tell their kids.
the man clears his throat before repeating the same old folklore the people of the city had made up about the white haired boy, yet with a new-found twist. “if you stay outside too long, jack frost will come and freeze you up!”
this makes the teenage boy chuckle, his staff hanging freely on his fingertips. sure, he can cause a blizzard with just the touch of them thanks to the man in the moon, but even he wouldn’t do that to a little girl. though, his sharp eyes watches her gasp before she rushes up from her spot in front of their house, the snow beneath her feet crackles as she giggles into her dads arms.
jisung doesn’t know what makes his heart freeze, the lonely feeling he gets from the heartwarming family gesture—or the snowstorm he seems to be brewing over the city of pennsylvania.
“you were out again?”
jisung sighs. he didn’t want to be sitting through another one of the tooth fairy’s lectures and with this one being his third of the week, he could probably recite her lecture off the top of his head.
her wings were fluttering rapidly as her cheeks tinted pink with how frustrated she was with him. “you didn’t throw snowballs at a child’s head again did you?”
a laugh almost bubbles from his lips. almost.
“that was one time! and they had fun didn’t they?” the boy grins as he twirls the small snowflakes around in the air above his fingers. he watches as she relaxes a tiny bit, her wings still making the slight fluttering noise he’s learned to drown out. the green fairy sighs, tired from having to say the same thing over and over again to the michievous boy standing in front of her with absolutely no care in the world.
“don’t let north find out, okay? he’ll rip your head right off.” she ends her lecture short with a small murmur, which catches jisung off guard. her bright smile flashes at him before she’s whisked away by one of her many fairies.
being a guardian wasn’t always easy, he was a teenage boy for god’s sake and having to deal with everything a boy his age does on top of having to be a ‘role model’ for millions of kids out in the world—meant finding time for him to just be himself, the teenage jisung park, was a scarce opportunity. he knew the tooth fairy only meant well, they all did, even the easter bunny. but he felt like they didn’t understand. they didn’t know about the grip his past had on him, a past that he isn’t even fully aware about yet. they didn’t know that sometimes all he yearns for are answers to who he really is.
but despite all this, he picks up his staff with his gaze trailing over the hundreds of elves scattered across the north pole.
and the white haired boy is gone—with only a small snowflake left in his place.
over the years, jisung’s learned to ignore the ache in his chest that longs to search for the answers to the questions swirling in his head. instead, he enjoys walking in the silence of the night—the glow from sandman’s magic lights his path as he prods at the floor beneath him.
he welcomes the cold, the one thing that has brought him comfort over these last few years. watching the ice create beautiful shapes on the pavement strangely relaxes him as he hums a soft song he doesn’t remember, though his heart seems to recognize the familiar tune.
“great job, sandy.” jisung whispers into the dead of the night, watching proudly as the yellow sand sifts into each house he passes by.
the boy lifts himself into the air with little to no effort. he lets a chuckle slip past his lips as his fingers feel through the sandman’s ‘dream trail’ as he likes to call it. jisung has always admired him, his power to soothe children and provide them with heart warming dreams to keep their sleep from being distrupted.
on nights like this, cold and lonely ones, he misses his home deeply. he knows it sounds ridiculous, to miss a home he doesn’t even remember, but he dreams that he had a family. one that would snuggle under one blanket on nights like this one—one that would wake each other up on christmas day because north or ‘santa’ had decided to pay them a visit.
he’s snapped out of his daydream though when he spots you sitting in front of your house. jisung’s never been one to keep track of time, but judging off the dream trail, he was pretty sure that it was late enough for no one to be out. you seemed to be busying yourself with something in the snow, so he takes this as his sign to drop down from the wires he’d been standing on previously.
“ducks?” he’s confused when he sees enough ducks made of snow sitting in a straight line, all of them nearly identical to each other.
his curious mind pushes him to wander towards your hunched figure, but something in him makes him cautious—almost like approaching you was a mistake.
jisung chooses to ignore the unfamiliar feeling, his feet making no marks in the snow as he squats next to you, his staff standing tall next to both of your figures.
his eyes linger on your face, the top of your head was covered in a black beanie with a pom pom sitting at the top. you were clad in your pajamas and a jacket—an outfit that kind of matched his—your cheeks and nose were both stained pink from the cold, but your eyes shimmered in happiness as you continued to make another duck.
“you kind of look like a ryan to me..?” he’s startled by the warmth in your voice, followed by the soft giggles that left your lips.
he could tell you were his age, something he oddly never encounters. he’s used to seeing toddlers running and playing around in the snow, so the weird feeling of familiarity settles in his chest as you put down the duck-making-contraption to blow some warmth into your hands.
you don’t seem to notice him, not like he expected you to, but it’s when you whisper something into the cold air that has him rooted to his place on the ground.
“i hope you still like ducks, ‘sung. i made too many for you to not like them anymore! happy birthday, wherever you are.”
and you disappear back into your house after picking up your contraption.
“how would she even know who i am?! i sure as hell don’t know who she is!” jisung was close to ripping the frosty white hair off his head and his feet were burning the solid floor of the north pole from the amount of pacing he’s been doing since he had gotten there an hour before all the elves had woken up and gotten to work.
north’s jaw ticks as he sighs for what felt like the millionth time that morning. “for the last time, jack, she probably means someone else! it’s not like you’re the only “jisung” in the world.”
the rest of the guardians bob their heads in aggreement, soft murmurs of their own comments all mesh into one—but jisung decides against them all. he felt a physical pull towards you, the shape of your face, the way you spoke and the way your eyes shone in the moonlight… all those things felt so familiar, but he was driving himself crazy as to why it all felt the way it did.
“i’m telling you. she knows who i am!”
he was frustrated. the feeling of familiarity in his chest was addicting and so very comforting. he wanted to know who you were—how you knew him—well, he was so sure that he was the “‘sung” you were talking about.
his heart was racing so loudly that it was pumping in his ears. the questions that were screaming at him made his head spin. it wasn’t like the helplessness he felt when he couldn’t remember his past. this… this was world’s apart from that.
despite it all, jisung’s pacing seems to slow to a stop before his eyes narrow into slits. the silence of a certain green fairy was enough for his mind to swirl with a couple thousand more questions.
his gaze hardens like the ice he’s able to create with his fingertips, “you know something.”
the phrase comes out bitter and demanding. something the younger boy has never used especially around any of the guardians. he watches as the fairy’s eyes dart to everything in the room except him, explanations spilling from her mouth.
“no i don’t! who said i did? was it one of my own? because there’s absolutely noooo way i know anything! nothing! nada! zer—“
the tooth fairy bites her lip as she watches jisung’s grip tighten on the wooden staff.
“park,” north’s voice is low, the warning clear in his tone. he loves jisung like he would love his own son if he had one, but he would not and will not tolerate him hurting any of the other guardians.
not like he could ever do that.
“you’re going to tell me what you know right now.” the frustration is evident in his voice. he was tired of being left in the dark—forced to fend for himself when that’s all he’s been doing for so long. too long.
the fairy fiddles with her fingers, her wings flapping at an even faster rate behind her. “i-i don’t know much. but—i have your teeth. f-from when you were just jisung park.”
the world seems to slow to a stop. jisung’s read about it happening in some books he found in the nooks and crannies of the north pole, but he hadn’t expected it to feel like it did.
he knew what that meant. she had once told him that all the teeth she had collected from each kid held a memory from their lives. the collection of memories all locked in the gold tube he used to gaze at with so much curiosity, the memories unlocked by one touch of his finger.
the silence was suffocating him—and suddenly he couldn’t breathe.
“jisung. you have to calm down.”
the worried gaze of the easter bunny somewhat helps him, though his rapid breaths were starting to be difficult on his lungs. hearing how something so crucial to figuring out his past, to figuring out who he is, was kept from him by someone he’s kept so close for the past few years seemed to be crushing him.
“y-you… you had the answers to my questions all this time… and you didn’t… you didn’t tell me?” heartbreak drips from his tone. all those nights he spent trying to shut out the loud thoughts in his head—all of which could’ve been solved if the tooth fairy had just told him what she just did.
“we wanted you to embrace who you are now, jack. you’re a guardian now, it doesn’t matter what happened in the past—“
“that’s not for you to decide!” his rough shout startles everyone in the room, even some of the elves. his eyes sting from the unshed tears he’s determined to keep from rolling down his cheeks.
“it wasn’t your right to take that from me. those are my memories, my past, my life!” jisung’s breathing hard now. the intensity of how painful this secret was overbearing. and the fact that everyone knew? not just the tooth fairy? that’s what hurt him most.
he scoffs, the grip on his staff tightening as he lifts his hood up above his head.
“i can’t believe any of you.” he ignores the way they all scramble after him, pleading for him to calm down—he needed to be somewhere else, anywhere else but in a room full of people who just shattered his already bruised heart.
you couldn’t stand the cold. you prefer to be out on a sunny and warm day than to play in the snow while simultaneously freezing to death.
so why were you standing out in the cold?
you wished you could say that you didn’t know. that somehow, the cold just brought you some source of comfort and that you couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason as to why. but you did know. you know that you’re out here because of a certain boy and how he always loved the snow. how he knew how to handle himself on ice, even when it was freezing and his teeth were chattering.
“y/n? come back inside, dear. it’s freezing!” the voice of your mother pulls you from your everlasting thoughts of the boy you loved, as it almost always did.
you turn to look at her and you see the pity in her eyes. you know she can tell whenever you start to get out of sorts over your best friend who went missing four years ago now. she’s seen the ducks left out, just like you do for every birthday that’s passed without him.
“i’ll be in in a minute, mom.” you smile, a genuine one, soaking in the cold for a little bit more when you hear your front door gently closing after a soft reply from your mom.
you hadn’t known what happened to your best friend, and he never got the justice you felt he deserved. but him disappearing without a trace seemed to scream ‘runaway!’ to the police, so his case was dropped, much to yours and your family’s devastation. you still remember the day you found out he disappeared like it was yesterday.
“where’s this boy at?” your irritated sigh is acxompanied with a white puff from your mouth, the cold atmosphere made your breath visible as your teeth chattered and your fingers trembled.
despite it all, you were there. waiting in front of the fountain of your town like you always do when winter starts.
‘hello! this is jisung, i don’t seem to have heard your call or—shit y/n cut that out! sorry uh… leave your message at the beep, okay bye!’
“damn it.” the frustration was settling in, your eyes gazing at the digital numbers taunting you on your phone. it’s almost been an hour since you were supposed to meet jisung here—either he had forgotten your plans, or he simply liked to torture you because he knew how much you hated the cold—and if it was the latter, you were certain you’d kill him.
your phone rings in your hands and you hurriedly pick up, expecting to hear your best friends deep voice scrambling with apologies.
“jisu—“
“…honey? where are you? mrs. park just called to say that jisung’s gone missing…”
your life hasn’t been the same ever since. you never heard a peep from the boy—and even after a whole year of you texting his number, someone else eventually answered, regretfully telling you that they weren’t jisung, but an older lady named kira.
which was a weird experience, but your parents were glad that you had finally let go of texting your missing best friend. they knew you would take the news the hardest. you were head over heels for this boy, and seeing as how you both were attached at the hip—they were worried for how you’d cope.
and they’ve settled that you making ducks out of snow once a year seems to be the perfect way to cope for you.
“this is stupid,” you mutter, more to yourself than anyone in particular. you gaze at the perfectly lined up ducks. eighteen of them.
that’s how old jisung would’ve turned that year.
when your fingers start to feel numb, the cold air seeming to get even colder, you decide that maybe it’s time to head back inside. you glance one more time over at the eighteen ducks sitting neatly at the front of your porch. a small flicker in you hopes that one day, they somehow bring jisung home.
he didn’t know what he was doing here. after all that happened in the north pole, he just let the wind take him anywhere. his mind was too busy to figure out where he’d stay before returning back to the north pole when everything was sorted out in his mind and heart.
and that’s how he finds himself standing next to you. his hood is up and his tight grip on his staff causes you to let out a small shiver.
he can tell you’re feeling somber, your eyes weren’t as happy as they were when he first saw you and your gaze seemed to linger at nothing in particular.
he watches as you purse your lips before slowly heading back inside. jisung didn’t know who you were, but being next to you warmed his freezing heart with a sense of familiarity he hasn’t felt in so long.
“eighteen…” his soft mumble is heard by no one, he had counted the ducks you had lined up by your house.
he wonders why you had decided to make that many, but a small smile tugs at his lips when he uses his magic to create a small pile of snow around the ducks, forming a small fence around all of them.
jisung’s torn from his thoughts when he hears soft chatter coming from the inside of your house, his curiosity getting the better of him while he stands to steal a glance from your window.
“hey hon. do you want to pay jisung a visit?” an older man looks directly at you as he fixes his tie, your slightly smaller stature stands in front of him, clad in the same outfit he saw you standing in earlier—minus a set of blue gloves.
the mention of his name has him attempting to hear your conversation better. he strains to hear over his racing heart, but he hears you reply with a hesitant ‘sure’. even from where he’s standing, he can see the fear in your eyes. he doesn’t exactly know why they glisten with unshed tears and he looks away as your family gathers around you in a group hug. he felt like he was intruding an important family moment.
he’s not sure how much time has passed with how he was trying hard not to eavesdrop, but your front door suddenly nudges open, surprising him almost enough to drop his staff.
“you made a little fence?” jisung hears the grin on your mom’s face and he turns to you to find you staring at his little creation around your ducks.
your face is turned down into a frown, your hands clad in the blue gloves you were wearing the first time he saw you that day. “i didn’t.”
this seems to silence your parents as they watch you with curious eyes. you looked conflicted, almost as if you didn’t know whether or not you liked the fact that someone had added to your small creation.
“well… then maybe jack frost did it?”
jisung perks up at the mention of his name, (well his alter ego’s name, you could say) his jaw slacks at the playful tone your father had taken when talking about him. but your eyes immediately roll into the back of your head.
“yeah, whatever.” the last word was mumbled underneath your breath, but he heard it loud and clear. he couldn’t understand why you not believing in him hurt the most, even when he knew you didn’t just by the fact that you couldn’t see him.
he watches dejectedly as your family gets into your car, you taking the back seat while your family sit in the front. your head bobs to music that was probably playing on the radio, and all he could do is stand on your porch as your dad drives you all away.
“let me see my memories.” the tone he’s chosen to use wasn’t gentle, but it wasn’t harsh either.
jisung’s staring straight at the tooth fairy, who was in the middle of sorting out a problem with her baby fairies. she stills and purses her lips, looking at the teenage boy with red-rimmed eyes.
he’s had enough of the lies, tired of the way the rest of the guardians seem to think they can decide what he wants to do with who he is and the past that holds the answers to everything he had questioned the man in the moon ever since he had become jack frost.
“what happened, jisung?” her concern is waved off by the cold boy, the grip on his staff was tightening. “please, toothiana.”
his low whisper gets to her. he never calls her by her name unless things get too difiicult, for either of them. she could hear the pain hidden by his tough front, but she could tell that the boy was having an incredibly hard time.
“you’ve kept this from me for long enough. i’m tired of having to… look towards the moon and get no response every night for something i know is right here with you—!” his voice strains from the pain he’s trying so hard to hide from her.
the fairy sighs—conflicted by the care she holds for him and her duty to protect him. “…okay.”
jisung was fairly surprised by how quickly she agreed to him, but she wasn’t sure if she should even be allowing him to see his memories, strict rules from north was taunting her mind. but, with one more glance at jisung, she knows that she just doesn’t have the heart to keep it from him.
he watches silently as she flutters over to the hidden cases of teeth she had collected over the years, her fingers skimming over thousands of tabs—one shiny case slipping out into her awaiting hands.
“just… we’re here for you, jisung. okay? if you need us…” the fairy gently places the gold tube in his hands before leaving him alone to discover the memories lying in the gold case.
he wasn’t sure about what was preventing him from diving head first into his memories, but his gaze remained trained on the small image on the side of the tube, one that looked like his younger self. the silence he was left with seemed to scream at him to touch the white surface.
‘sung! jisung, where are you?!
he wanted to call out to the voice, tell them that he was right here and that he was doing just fine. he could hear the panic in the unfamiliar voice despite it being muffled and quiet.
being in this moment scared him more than anything ever has—he could have his memories in his hands right now and they were all at the touch of his fingertips. but the idea of it all overwhelmed him, pushing his heart to rage against his chest.
jisung… where did you go?
“i’m right here.” his whisper is heard by no one.
“that’s so stupid!” the room is filled with giggles as the boy attempts to flip whipped cream up from the back of his hand and into his mouth.
with a cute frown, “it is not! and it’s so possible.” jisung rolls his eyes, slapping his wrist and missing for the hundredth time.
this only causes the two kids to fall into even more fits of giggles, the whipped cream landing on the young boy’s forehead. he looked incredibly silly, but nothing could have prepared the younger girl for how adorable he looked, despite it all.
“shouldn’t you get going? or do you wanna stay over tonight?” she breaks the comfortable atmosphere with the tough question. the girl knew how sensitive the topic of jisung’s parents were, which is why she attempted to avoid it as much as she could. but it was late, and if he didn’t go home now, he would for sure be in trouble.
his deep sigh is what meets the soft question, and though he tries to hide behind a smile, she knew he was hurting.
“is it okay if i stay over?”
she never asks why, but that’s why jisung’s so lucky to have the girl sitting in front of him. his question is met by a soft nod from her, eliciting his lips to tug into a small smile.
“you’re the best.”
the sliver of a memory soothes one of jisung’s many curiosities. the small gold case he’s holding opened up one of his many lost memories, one that he knows was treasured by his younger self. the sight of the faceless girl haunts his mind as he imagines the memory over and over again. who was she to him?
“damn it,” jisung huffs when he feels frustrated tears sting at his eyes.
he could tell by the one memory he allowed himself to see—that the reason the guardians were hiding this from him, was because of the difficult past he was dealt with. he may not remember any of it, but slowly it was piecing itself together.
you hated this day. and with every year that passes, you’d wonder if it would ever get easier, but it never does. seeing your best friend’s name engraved on a tombstone was never an easy sight. it never failed to bring you to tears.
your parents would always carry a new boquet of hyacinths, jisung’s favorite flower according to you. the three of you would arrive at his grave, a different boquet already sitting at the feet of his tombstone.
you had your hands in your pockets and your gaze settled on the floor—so you didn’t notice a certain white haired boy who had settled himself on your porch.
“woah. what the hell?!” your loud voice seems to go ignored by your parents as they head into your house. your heart was racing at the sight of the unknown boy who seemed just as startled as you were.
jisung’s eyes are blown wide as he stares back at you, “y-you can see me…?”
you’re clutching at your jacket as you stare at him, bewildered. what the hell?
“yes i can see you, y-you freak! who the hell are you?!”
he stumbles as he picks up his staff, the hood resting on his head falls as he slowly steps off your porch. “shh, dude. you have to be quiet.”
jisung doesn’t know what he’s doing. he came here to get some piece of mind—and when your car came rolling up your driveway, he wasn’t expecting you to see him.
“you expect me to be quiet when you’re just mmf—!”
both of you are surprised when jisung surges forward and covers your mouth with his hand. you’re stunned at his action, his palm feeling cold as ice against your skin.
“no one else sees me. i don’t know why you do, though. so you have to shut up.” he’s quiet now, his eyes turning to your front door, trying to see if your parents were going to come out at any moment.
“who the hell are you?” your voice is slightly calm now, the boy stands sheepishly in front of you. his silence gives you a moment to look him over, a ridiculous wooden staff is sitting between his fingers—a blue hoodie clads his skinny figure and his feet were bare against the white snow covering your front yard.
“i’m—uh… jack..?” he watches, amused at how you seem to stare at him with disbelief.
“jack?” you whisper, your jaw unclenches as he nods at your question. an easy smile dancing on his lips.
he honestly has no idea what he’s doing. but he does know that he’s enjoying it.
“yeah! jack frost, ever heard of me?” he smiles lazily. it wasn’t everyday that he could introduce himself as the fairytale that he seems to have become over the past for years to anyone.
your frown is instant. jisung watched as your eyes danced across his face, taking in the familiarity of his older, colder features.
he expected anything. maybe a jaw drop. maybe a gasp, maybe even an eyebrow raise with some questioning as to whether or not he was serious.
what he didn’t expect though, was for your eyes to widen before your body crumpled to the ground.
the warmth of your bed is the first thing that you register when you wake from the strangest dream.
you’d seen jisung. you were sure of it. his hair was as white as snow, and he stared at you with not one hint of recognition—just mischief and a little disbelief at the idea of you seeing him.
“jack…” your murmur disturbed the silence of your bedroom. sitting up, your blanket fell off your shoulders. you were still in the clothes you wore to jisung’s grave, and the moonlight spilling into your room was the only source of light that illuminated your space.
confusion and sadness wraps itself around your heart as you try and shake the feelings that your dream had welcomed back into your head.
unbeknownst to you, frost begins to form on the corners of your closed window as a certain white haired boy perches himself on your roof—his grip on his wooden staff tightening at your quiet whisper.
he didn’t know who you were—not up until a few days ago, anyway. so why did a flash of recognition cross your eyes before you tumbled to the ground?
was that his confirmation that he was the jisung you were talking about? but how?
the jisung you knew was dead. and he was very much alive. albeit, invisible to everyone, but alive. except he wasn’t invisible to you.
the cold boy’s eyes wandered up to the moon, glaring at it as it seemed to be taunting him from above. how could he possibly have more questions now that he’d watched one memory from his stupid golden tooth capsule?
with one last huff (and a glance towards your now peaceful figure tucked away underneath your blanket), jisung stands—and lets the air take him far away from your house.
“jisung! don’t go so fast!”
giggles erupt into the air as jisung grips onto the girl’s arms, leading them both across the frozen water.
his smile was bright enough to light up the darkest of nights, watching as the girl struggles to balance herself on the slipper surface.
“you’re alright.” he murmurs to her, grinning as a splash of pink settles on her cheeks.
the girl shakes her head, her grip on his arms tightening as she feels their speed start to pick up once more. “i swear to God, park jisung, if we fall—“
“don’t worry, darling. i won’t ever let you fall.”
“jack?” the tooth fairy’s tentative voice cracks jisung’s concentration as he shuts the golden capsule shut.
she eyes him, watching as he buries what he felt by what he saw deep beneath his surface. he clears his throat before shoving the capsule into the pocket that rests on the bottom of his sweater.
“what’s up?”
her wings flutter furiously as she flies herself over to him. “are… are you alright?”
and the concern in her voice—pisses him off.
“yeah. never better.” jisung smiles at her, allowing his frustration to coat his words and drip off them.
he watches as she flinches at the harshness of his words, her mouth forming a slight pout, and guilt tugs at his heart. he sighs, trying to shake the frustration from his mind.
“i’m sorry.” he murmurs, turning away from the fairy to reel back his emotions. technically, it wasn’t her fault that the memory of the girl was flawed. so it wasn’t fair to the tooth fairy that he was taking his frustrations out on her.
she smiles slightly, reaching up to fluff his hair.
“i’m sorry too, jack.”
their eyes meet and he feels his resolve cracking just a tiny bit. he had always loved the tooth fairy in a sort of, sisterly kind of way, even when she’d piss him off a lot of the time.
she bites her lip, her wings fluttering as she brings herself back down to her feet.
“…did opening your tooth box help with anything?” she asks hesitantly, unsure of how he’d taken the weight of his past.
jisung swallows. his grip on the golden capsule tightens as he avoids her gaze.
“it… it actually raised a lot more questions.” he sighs, his jaw clenching as the image of the faceless girl forces its way back into his mind.
the tooth fairy frowns, watching him closely. “how so?”
“i haven’t actually fully opened it. i could only let myself see two memories,” she nods, listening intently as jisung runs his hand through his hair.
he bites his lip, a frown making its way onto his face before he continued, “both of which had this girl. we were inseparable, apparently. but in both memories her face is blurred.”
the green fairy sighs. “that does happen to some tooth boxes. either the memories are tampered with time, or they were simply memories that the child wanted to block out. but you did say that you and the girl seemed close? i wonder why younger you had wanted to block those memories out…”
jisung’s eyes fall closed, frustration swirling beneath his chest once more.
he’d taken his tooth box in hopes for answers. and yet here he stands, more and more questions filling his mind—and suffocating his peace.
“you’re here.”
your voice came out breathless, though you didn’t mean for it to be. jisung was sitting on your fence, snowflakes flying from his fingertips and his staff at his feet.
his eyes darted to your figure and his lips turned up into a grin. “hello to you too!”
your heart stutters in your chest. so it wasn’t a dream.
jisung grins when he hops off your fence to make his way to you. his staff hanging comfortably from his hands. there was a sense of familiarity that drew him to you, a weird feeling that oddly—reminded him of home.
“you, good lady, happen to be one of the only humans that can see me.” jisung smiles wider when he reaches to stand right in front of you. your neck cranes to look into his eyes, and it satisfies a small part of him that he chooses to ignore.
“good lady?” jisung laughs as you cringe, pushing the hood off his head.
“y’know, like good sir?” you roll your eyes as jisung nods his head to the pile of snow in front of the two of you.
your eyes widen as they finally register the sheer amount of ducks that have been spread across your yard. “what… the?”
jisung laughs and scratches the back of his neck as he watches your reaction carefully.
“i saw you that day. you were making ducks with that contraption of yours—figured it’d be a lot faster if i made them for you.”
you’re still staring at the snow ducks, all in different shapes and sizes, your voice having evaded your throat.
jisung shuffles on his feet, unsure of what to make of your silence. he flicks his fingers at the ducks and watches happily as they come to life.
“this is… this is awesome, jack.”
he stiffens at the name, but smiles nonetheless. you step forward to crouch closer to the ducks, laughing when some of them waddle around you. jisung grins, flicking his wrist to create even more magic with the snow that shoots from his fingertips.
your giggles fill the air as he makes snow glide through the air, before bursting into tiny snowflakes that glitter as the sunshine hits them.
jisung?
the oddly familiar voice distracts the white haired boy, his fingers freezing in the air. you’re still distracted by the snowflakes when jisung feels for the tooth box in his pocket.
‘sung, where’d you go?
“i-i gotta go. i forgot i had some place to be.” he murmurs, tugging the hood of his hoodie back over his head.
your eyes linger on the little ducks all over your feet, “alright. when will i—?”
when you finally tear your eyes away from the snow, the icy boy is nowhere to be found.
i… i’m right here.
it was weirdly quiet. jisung felt like he was floating, which was definitely not something he was used to. his eyes were closed, and he couldn’t seem to peel them open.
“park jisung, i swear if you’re hiding just to scare me, i’m going to kill you!”
y/n. where were you? your voice sounded so far away.
it was cold. jisung felt the bite of the freezing winter air, but he didn’t feel the need to care at all.
“‘sung, seriously…” you sounded annoyed. but he was right there.
i’m here!
jisung was convinced that he was trapped in a dream. he couldn’t bring himself to open his eyes, or to reply to your annoyed cries.
then he heard your phone ring—a heartbroken gasp tumbles past your lips, and hurried footsteps fade farther and farther away from him.
y/n! i’m right here…
“y/n.” jisung gasps, the tooth box slipping from his fingers. the truth slams into him and brings him to his knees.
your last memory of him, was that he’d ditched you. the revelation wraps around his heart as tears push their way past his strong exterior.
for years he had longed to know who he had been before the man in the moon chose him to be a guardian. for years he longed for a family—one that knew him as park jisung and not as jack frost.
and now, the answers to his prayers were right there, within his reach.
“jack?” north’s deep voice brings him out of the haze he was drowning in.
tears were blurring his vision, but he stood, grabbing his staff before wiping them off with his sleeve. “i… i have a family.”
jisung’s soft voice brings a small smile onto north’s face. the rest of the guardians had been just that all their lives, guardians. jack—jisung, had been the only one who was turned into a guardian after a tragedy that had struck his life.
north had hoped to keep him in the dark for as long as possible, though he knew it was never going to end up that way. when jisung was first introduced as a guardian, he had been so clueless—so accepting of his fate as jack frost, that north had felt it’d been best to allow him to learn to love himself as jack frost, even if that meant not knowing who he was as park jisung.
he had, obviously, been wrong.
“go, ji.”
jisung’s sobs (embarrassingly) get louder, surging forward to wrap his arms around north.
“thank you, north.”
something told jisung that you weren’t home. even though he passed by, eyeing the car that sat in your driveway.
the cold winter air was leading him some place else. some place closer to the girl that seemed to feel more and more like home.
“i miss you, ‘sung.”
your lonely whisper just manages to reach his ears as he slows to a stop a couple feet away from where you sat.
his eyes wandered past your seated figure, slowly taking in where the wind had taken him.
a frozen over lake. one that he knew quite well.
it was cold. jisung felt the bite of the freezing winter air, but he didn’t feel the need to care at all.
“where’d you go, ‘sung?” your heartbroken whisper echoes through the empty lake once more, and urges jisung to move closer to you.
“i’m right here.”
you’re startled—your head whips towards his figure before you’re up on your feet. you’re frowning at him, but all he can do is smile warmly back at you.
“jack? what are you—“
he moves forward, flicking his wrists to form makeshift ice skates on your feet. jisung has no idea what he’s doing, but he moves swiftly and hurriedly—transferring the two of you onto the frozen lake.
“jack!” your gasp is full of fear, your hands gripping onto his forearms as jisung glides the two of you across the frozen water.
“i’m so sorry it took me this long to remember you. to remember us, y/n.” jisung’s murmur is quiet, the cold winter air suddenly heats as your eyes find his despite the fear of falling.
it takes a second, but the truth hits you just as hard as it had him a couple hours before.
park jisung was in front of you. his brown hair hair was swapped with strands that were white as snow, his eyes were blue instead of their usual dark brown and his feet were bare—but there was no doubting the sweet smile that etched itself onto his lips and the dimples that came with it.
“…’sung?”
your whisper is breathless once more, and the smile that curves jisung’s lips could not be sweeter.
“hi, darling.”

[page 1] S: Hijikata-san! H: Oh, glasses. G: Um, have you seen Gin-san?
[page 2] H: Oh, so you're alive. G: Huh!? G: Is it a bad thing that I'm alive? G: Wait. G: Hold on, you're on break? H: Well, yeah. G: Are you here to see me? H: I'm just taking a walk. G: Hmph. I know you're here to see me, though. H: Die, idiot. G: What have you been saying!? Am I not allowed to be alive!?
[page 3] H: Earlier, H: I saw glasses. G: Shinpachi? H: Yeah. H: He was looking for you, y'know. G: …. H: You… H: What are you H: thinking of right now? G: What's this all of a sudden? G: Is it because of Shinpachi? S: Gin-san has been acting weird lately. S: This morning, too, he said he's just heading out to buy Jump, but… H: Nah. H: Well… H: Yeah.
[page 4] H: He was worried about you. H: Hurry up and go home. G: Pfft. That's why you were surprised I'm alive? G: Hijikata-kun, are you an idiot? H: Shut up. G: Hey, wanna listen to me? H: Sure.
[page 5] G: You know, I… H: Mm. G: I found myself thinking that I'm happy. H: Mm. G: And then I ended up thinking about whether or not I'm allowed to be this happy. G: And then, somehow G: I suddenly got scared. H: I see. G: If I'm at home, G: there's Kagura, and Sadaharu, G: and during the day there's Shinpachi, too. G: It's fun there even if we're not doing anything. H: Mm.
[page 6] G: I ended up thinking that I don't want to let them go. H: …. G: It's silly, right? G: I've never even thought about what's ahead of me or what my future looks like. G: Someday, they all will go to walk on their own paths and leave my side. G: This won't go on forever. I know that, and I don't have a problem with that. G: I'll tell them that I'm happy they all found something they want to do. G: But then I thought about what I'm going to do by myself when that time comes. G: I closed my eyes G: and tried to picture that now emptier room. G: And then…
[page 7] G: I can only see you there, Hijikata. G: Hey. G: Will you live together with me?
[page 8] H: Those words made my heart clench. H: Ah. H: I want to protect this person. I want to be by his side. H: That's what I felt.
[page 9] H: Things progressed surprisingly quickly after that. H: Kondou-san cried and was happy for us. H: The kids welcomed us. H: And then, we H: someway somehow, became a family.
[page 10] G: Hey. G: Hijikata-kun. G: If I die first, what'll you do? H: Let's see. H: I'll put my ring on you H: and then I'll put your ring in a small bottle along with some small shards H: and I'll carry it with me until my death.
[page 11] G: So we can meet again up there? H: Nah. H: Not up there. *taps* H: So that in our next life H: I'll keep you from being alone again.
[page 12] H: Hey, hurry up!
[page 13] H: You're so damn slow, you fucking perm! You want us to leave together, right!? G: Wa-wait a minute, okay! I'm coming now, dammit! H: Your slowness is gonna make me end up being late! G: Sorry, sorry. *step step step* G: Man, Mr. Public Servant Police Officer here sure is strict about time. H: You're the one who's too loose about it! Also, hurry up and find a job already! G: No need. Right now, I'm trying to think about what I truly want in life. It's an important time for me. H: You'll probably go to the Employment Service Center today, anyway. G: I can't say anything to that! H: Hey. H: You…
[page 14] G: Okay, then. Be careful. H: What are you thinking about right now? H: Yeah. You too. H: What do you see? G: I'm gonna make dinner and wait for you, darling. H: That's freaking gross. H: Are you not afraid anymore? H: Right now, H: are you happy? *clack*
[page 15] H: Me? H: Yeah. I'm here with you, H: so I'm happy.
[page 16] The following is an additional story for "Together." that I drew for REOLOG (my doujin collection). *Depiction of death *Post-reincarnation
[page 17] G: I've been holding on to it as long as I can remember. G: I don't know who it belongs to.
[page 18] G: G to T… G: G is for Gintoki, I guess? G: Then who is T… G: I have absolutely no idea.
[page 19] G: My mom said G: I seem to have picked it up out of nowhere when I was a baby. G: Even when they took it away out of fear of me accidentally swallowing it G: or threw it away because it seemed strange, G: before they knew it, it always returned to the palm of my hands. G: My mom then had the idea of putting that ring around my neck.
[page 20] S: Heey, Gintoki! S: The entrance ceremony is about to start. G: Yeah, I'm coming. G: I have no idea if this ring even has any meaning at all. G: But, G: when I look at it, my heart becomes calmer, yet also excited, yet also painful. It's strange. G: I'm sure there is a meaning. G: I believe that. H: Haha. K: And then, Otae-san was like…
[page 21] G: Hiji… G: …kata.
[page 22] *glare* *ba-dump* G: Huh? H: Who the hell are you? G: Oh, sorry. Did I say something? H: Huh? Say something? Nah. You called my name, right? G: N… Name?
[page 23] O: Hijikata-san! What are you doing? H: Tch. You damn perm. G: His name is G: Hijikata, huh… G: Hijikata? I said his name? I did? G: Why? G: …. G: Hijikata.
[page 24] G: Hijikata. G: Who is that? G: Hijikata. G: Is that someone I know? G: Hijikata. G: Who the hell are you? G: Hey, Hijikata. G: Will you live together with me? G: Who?
[page 25] G: Hey, Hijikata-kun. G: If I die first, what'll you do? H: Let's see. H: I'll put my ring on you H: and then I'll put your ring in a small bottle along with some small shards H: and I'll carry it with me until my death. G: So we can meet again up there? H: Nah. H: Not up there. H: So that in our next life…
[page 26] H: So that in our next life… H: I'll keep you from being alone again. *rustle*
[page 27] G: Hijikata… G: …Toshirou. G: Yeah. I remember now. G: I remember now. G: G to T. G: This is G: the ring I gave him.
[page 28] G: In our next life… G: We met. G: We met, G: Hijikata.
[page 29] -
[page 30] H: I'll go too, soon. H: Wait for me, okay?
[page 31] H: Yorozuya.
[page 32] -
[page 33] H: I've been holding on to it as long as I can remember. H: Who does it belong to? H: What shards are these? H: I have no idea.
[page 34] G: And then, Zura and Sakomoto's like… G: Then, Takasugi fell (lol) G: Hilarious, right? H: …. H: Hey, Sakata. G: What is it, Hijikata-kun? H: Which class are you in? G: H (Ecchi) ♥ H: Don't say it in such a weird way. H: And this class is? G: A Class. H: Then, let me ask you this. H: Why are you always eating lunch here everyday!? We're not even on the same floor. H: Furthermore, here in front of me!
[page 35] G: That's clearly G: because I want to be next to you, right? G: Just kidding. *GROSSED OUT* *fidgets* G: Hey, come on! Don't look so clearly grossed out like that! H: Stop those jokes already. G: Hahah. It was just a joke. Don't mind it so much. H: Geez. I really don't date guys, okay? H: ….
[page 36] H: ? G: I know, I know. G: Hahah. H: Sakata Gintoki… H: The first time I met him was on the day of our high school entrance ceremony. G: Hiji… G: …kata.
[page 37] H: Who the hell are you? G: Oh, sorry. H: A guy with lazy eyes that resemble those of a dead fish. H: Rarely-seen silver hair. G: Did I say something? H: It should've been the first time we met, but it didn't feel like the first. H: You damn perm. H: After that day, H: For some reason, Sakata took a liking to me and popped up in my classroom whenever he had the time. O: Oh, it's Danna. K: Ooh, Gintoki, you're here. G: Don't interrupt us. Get the hell away, Gorilla. H: Kondou-san is not a gorilla!
[page 38] H: The guy is suspicious, H: but I don't think of it as strange and end up hating it. H: In fact, that smile H: perhaps even feels familiar to me. *ba-dump* G: Hm? What's wrong? H: Oh, nothing. H: I never knew you wear that thing.
[page 39] G: Oh, this? G: You're curious about it? H: Nah, not really. G: Don't worry. I don't have a girlfriend or anything. H: L-Like anyone even asked about that! G: Come on, just hear me out. G: This is something I've been keeping safe for as long as I can remember. G: I've been holding on to it without even knowing who it belongs to or why I can't let go of it. H: Without knowing… H: All this time? G: Yeah. G: All this time. H: For as long as you can remember? G: Yeah. G: As long as I can remember.
[page 40] H: I was shocked. H: His story is exactly the same as mine. H: The ring in that bottle… H: And his ring… *thump* H: What is happening? H: There's a strange pain in my chest. *ruffles*
[page 41] G: Take your time. H: …. G: I'll wait.
[page 42] H: T to G. H: Does it mean from Toshirou to Gintoki…?
[page 43] H: That can't be the case. H: The first time I met him was on the day of our entrance ceremony. H: I don't think I've met him before that. H: But… is that true? G: I'll wait. H: Could it be that I've just forgotten? H: I want to remember. H: I feel like I have to remember. H: If there really is something to remember. H: Or do I just want that to be the case? H: I don't know. H: On his ring… H: Are there somebody's initials carved on it?
[page 44] H: Sakata. H: Sakata Gintoki. H: Who are you? H: Sakata Gintoki. H: Really? H: Sakata Gintoki. H: I called his name like that?
[page 45] G: Hey, Hijikata-kun. G: If I die first, G: what'll you do? H: Let's see. H: I'll put my ring on you H: and then I'll put your ring in a small bottle along with some small shards H: and I'll carry it with me until my death. G: So we can meet again up there? H: Nah. H: Not up there. *taps* H: So that in our next life…
[page 46] H: So that in our next life… H: I'll keep you from being alone again. *shock...*
[page 47] H: Right. H: I know him. H: I know Sakata Gintoki. H: Something as important as this… H: How could I forget… *grip* G: Hijikata-kun. H: Tch. H: Damn it…! *runs*
[page 48] H: Haa… H: Haa… *ring* *ring* H: Hey, where the hell are you? H: What? H: Heading back home from work? Where!? H: Whatever, just tell me! H: Huh? H: Near the park? Then right now I'm… G: Hijikata!
[page 49] G: Hey, what's up? H: Sakata… H: Gintoki. G: Hijikata? What's wrong? H: Sorry. G: Hm? H: I said I'll keep you from being alone, but… H: Sorry. G: … H: You've been in front of me all this time, but H: I didn't realize. I'm sorry. H: I've never even called your name properly. H: I'm really sorry,
[page 50] H: Yorozuya.
[page 51] G: Hijikata, you… H: Hey, Yorozuya… H: Can you put it on me, too? G: …
[page 52] H: Hah. H: It fits me perfectly. I've been holding on to it as long as I can remember. I don't know who it belongs to. But…
[page 53] G: We finally meet, Hijikata. G: Don't cry. H: I'm just sorry for making you wait. H: Also, I'm not crying. G: You're totally crying. H: I'm not crying.
[page 54] Those faraway memories, bond, love. The miracle of being able to meet again.
[page 55] I won't let you be alone. I'll be by your side. To make you happy. To become happy. From now on, too, always.
[page 56] Together.
