Automating Workflows with Power Apps and Power Automate
In today's fast-paced digital world, efficiency and productivity are paramount for businesses to stay ahead of the competition. Manual and repetitive tasks can be a significant drain on resources, leading to wasted time and decreased output. This is where automation comes in, and Microsoft's Power Apps and Power Automate are two powerful tools that can revolutionize your organization's workflow.
What are Power Apps and Power Automate?
Power Apps is a platform developed by Microsoft that allows users to build custom apps without the need for extensive coding knowledge. With a user-friendly interface, anyone can create apps tailored to their specific needs, whether it's for data collection, process automation, or simplifying complex tasks.
Power Automate, previously known as Microsoft Flow, is a companion service to Power Apps that enables users to automate workflows between their favorite apps and services. It offers a wide range of pre-built connectors, making it easy to integrate various applications, such as SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and more. By automating repetitive tasks, employees can focus on more strategic and value-adding activities.
Tumblr media
The Benefits of Automation with Power Apps and Power Automate
Increased Efficiency: Automation reduces the time and effort required to complete tasks. Employees can quickly trigger actions, and the processes flow seamlessly, saving precious hours each day.
Enhanced Collaboration: Power Apps and Power Automate allow teams to collaborate effortlessly. By connecting different apps and services, information can be shared across the organization, breaking down silos, and promoting collaboration.
Error Reduction: Manual tasks are prone to human errors. Automation minimizes these mistakes, leading to more accurate and reliable results.
Cost Savings: Automating processes can lead to significant cost savings by optimizing resource utilization and reducing the need for manual labor.
Better Customer Service: With streamlined workflows, teams can respond faster to customer requests, leading to improved customer satisfaction.
Use Cases for Power Apps and Power Automate
Leave Request Management: Employees can use a Power App to submit leave requests, which are then automatically routed to their manager for approval via Power Automate. This not only saves time but also ensures proper tracking of leave balances and approvals.
Invoice Processing: Power Automate can be used to create a workflow that automatically processes incoming invoices. The app can extract relevant data, route it to the appropriate stakeholders for review, and finally update the financial system.
Data Collection: Field teams can use Power Apps to collect data on-site, such as customer feedback or equipment readings. The data is instantly synced to the central database through Power Automate, eliminating the need for manual data entry.
Issue Tracking: Power Apps can be utilized to create an issue tracking system, while Power Automate can automate the assignment of issues to respective teams and escalate them based on priority.
Conclusion
Automation is no longer a luxury but a necessity for businesses seeking to remain competitive in the digital age. Power Apps and Power Automate offer a powerful combination to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and improve collaboration across the organization. By automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks, your team can focus on high-value activities that drive growth and success. Embrace the power of automation with Power Apps and Power Automate and witness a transformation in your workflows like never before.

hii arielle! so now that is summer i would love to rest and take a long break but also keep my days productive, like having a good morning and night routine as well as doing chores and feeling motivated enough to do them, etc, but i'm literally always mophing around feeling really down. what would you recommend for that?
have a great summer!! from a pinterest girlblogger <3
Ahhh hiii love!! Tysm for asking this 💗
Summer Lifestyle
Tumblr media
“I don’t chase, I attract. What’s mean’t for me will simply find me.” - Kendall Jenner
Tumblr media
Routines!! Your morning and night will impact your summer A LOT. Just in general, having routines will impact your life. If you don’t have a set routine it’ll be hard to stay productive. So, make sure your routine(s) are always adjusted to your schedule. Whether that means time for chores, exercise, or your hobbies. Just try your best to fit it in. Also, try not to overpack your routines with loads of stuff. Making your routines too long could make you unmotivated throughout the day. So try to keep your routines short. That way you don’t rush everything on your to do list. Also, having a short & flexible routine will let you have more freedom throughout the day. For example, maybe you forgot to do a chore from yesterday? Well, with a flexible routine you should be able to do that chore. Without having loads of stuff to do on top of that.
2. Self care days!! Summer is the season to REST! No more stressing over exams and no more drama. It’s time to take a step back and rest. Meaning, take time to care for yourself. Do your nails, skincare, steam your face, make yummy food, watch a movie, romanticize summer, journal, read, develop new hobbies, take a everything shower, spend time in nature, etc. Whatever you can do to refresh your mind, I’d do! Even if that sometimes means rotting in bed. If you’ve been stressed out DEFINITELY take time to, rot in bed, spend time in nature, watch a bunch of movies with popcorn, etc.
3. Make a list of activities to do!! Me personally, I love making bucket lists. For example, this summer I wanted to go blueberry picking, get baptized, go golfing, make lots of flower bouquets, etc. I always like to make bucket lists for different seasons. Especially bucket lists for summer. That way I’m not bored 24/7. It’s like a fun adventure that I do every year. So, I would definitely recommend making bucket lists. It’s the perfect way to stay occupied with different activities. Or if you don’t want to make a bucket list, try new hobbies. You can simply list things you are interested in doing right in your notes app. Then do them whenever you want!!
4. Practice self love!! Doll, it’s summer! We shouldn’t be down bad crying at the gym. We got love to give ourselves!! It’s time to acknowledge how wonderful you are. 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” We all were created beautifully and with care!! There’s no reason why we shouldn’t love ourselves.
5. Motivation!! Unfortunately we aren’t always going to feel motivated. Which is why I constantly will tell you dolls to work on having discipline. It’s something we will all struggle with time-to-time. However, we have to push through and do whatever we have to do anyways. Pushing through may even help you become motivated. But just because it’s difficult in the moment, doesn’t mean it will be difficult forever. So, keep a positive mindset and keep going!! You got this doll! 💗
6. Get off your phone and go in nature!! I know, I know you dolls probably don’t like to hear it, but seriously. We spend so much time on our phones. Our dopamine levels are probably through the roof. So, take time to slow down and go out in nature. Maybe all you do is run away from bugs, people watch, read a book, or pick dandelions. However you spend time in nature, make sure you actually breathe. Take time to look around. Romanticize those moments that you run away from bugs or read a book.
“You can help as many people as you want but you also have to remember to check in on yourself.” - Kendall Jenner
Love you dolls!! Remember to enjoy all moments in your life 💗

Become Your Best Version Before 2025 - Day 26
Personal Development Tools and Resources
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yesterday we talked about creating accountability plans, and today I want to build on that momentum by sharing some amazing tools and resources that have genuinely transformed my personal growth journey.
Think about the last time you scrolled through your phone, looking at all those self-improvement apps you downloaded but never really used. We've all been there! Today, I want to share what's actually worked for me.
The Simple Tools That Work Wonders
First up, journaling! But wait, before you roll your eyes, hear me out. I'm not talking about writing novels every morning. Sometimes it's just a quick brain dump while having coffee, or a few grateful thoughts before bed. (Quick tip: if you're new to journaling and self-reflection, you might want to check out my free Self-Worth Mini Workbook, it's got some really gentle prompts to get you started!)
Digital tools have been game-changers too. I absolutely love:
Notion for organizing my entire life (seriously, it's like having a second brain)
Insight Timer for meditation (the free version is amazing!)
Goodnotes for digital journaling.
Creating Your Sacred Space
Something that's really helped me is creating a dedicated space for personal development. It doesn't have to be fancy, mine's just a cozy corner with:
A comfortable cushion
My favorite journal and pens
A small plant (because why not?)
A few inspiring books
Speaking of books, these have been life-changing:
"Atomic Habits" by James Clear
"The Mountain Is You" by Brianna Wiest
"You Are a Badass" by Jen Sincero
View the full list here
Making It Work For You
The key is finding what naturally fits into your life. Maybe you:
Start with just 5 minutes of morning reflection
Use your commute time for personal development podcasts
Set up a simple evening routine for goal review
(By the way, if you're ready to dive deeper into creating sustainable personal growth practices, my Inner Glow Bundle has some amazing tools for this, but let's focus on getting those basics down first!)
The Power of Community
Never underestimate the power of connecting with others on the same journey. Some great ways to do this:
Join online communities (like this one!)
Find an accountability partner
Share your journey on social media
Participate in group challenges
Remember This, the most powerful tools are often the simplest ones. Don't get caught up in thinking you need the fanciest apps or most expensive programs. Start with what you have, where you are.
What's one tool or practice you're excited to try? Let me know in the comments below! I love hearing about your journeys and learning from your experiences too!
See you tomorrow for Day 27!
♡ ☆:.。 Keep glowing, babes! ♡ ☆:.。 With love, Goddess Inner Glow.

Future Stories + Masterpost
Tumblr media
FANGWEAVER2099
A Masterpost & Compilation for my fics and future stories.
All of my Fics are (technically) Miguel X OC (Ella) but are written in 2nd person and meant to be read as Y/N stories. So her skin/hair/general physique is never described. Her backstory & general lore are used to help develop and make the Y/N's backstory fleshed out for better plot! :3
Tumblr media
ONGOING
Torn Pages 18+ // Romance
After an encounter with a paper cut-out of a Doc Oct, Miguel O'Hara has a new recruit to the Spiderverse, Spiderwoman of Earth-1638. Everyone likes her, She likes everyone. She won't look him in the eye.
Spiderverse || 'second chance', grumpy/sunshine, SLOWBURN!!! The Miguel of your universe is dead, but then you meet him again.
Fawnteeth 18+ // Kinda-Romance
TUMBLR POSTS : Prologue 1 2 3 CHAPTER 1 2
You’ve always liked the idea of having a dominant partner - BDSM was something you’ve read about, watched videos about. Something you made Pinterest boards and aesthetic tumblr posts about when you were 18 and curious, the idea always sounded nice, but you’ve never done it in practice, not really. Sure you bought fuzzy handcuffs at a gag gift store once, but that didn’t really count. You’re still a virgin. You’ve always had that chronically awkward, workaholic type of vibe that made typical dating near impossible at worst and frustrating at best. Normal dating apps have proven fruitless and agitating. So poor curious little you talked yourself into making a fetlife account. You weren’t looking for true love, but at least you could get laid. DM Request from: 10:13 PM - WebRigger2099 - “Hello, Fawn.” College was for new experiences after all.
Modern No Powers || BDSM & Consensual Kink, Accidental Teacher/Student, DRAMA, Smut-Focused
You decide on a whim to sign up for Fetlife and find a Dominant you dub Web, only to discover after playing online for almost 3 months that he's your genetics professor...

₊˚⊹ ʚɞ ‧₊˚ ♡ about me 𝜗𝜚 ⊹ ‧₊
Hello there, my name Gigi, I'm a social studies nerd, a visual artist and some people call me a bruja, they're right but it's usually said with bad intentions. This is a blog where I mostly do whatever I find fun and helpful. I was raised around a great diversity of esoteric traditions but I'm also a nerd about it so of course I had to learn the old, the new, the conventional, the non conventional, the light, the dark, etc. I begin my training as a tarot reader and my esoteric journey at the age of 12, by 15 I was already allowed to share my practices with others (yes I'm kinda a burned out gifted kid tbh and it's not a flex), which is what I'm the most passionate about. I've been working on and off as a professional tarot reader, but mostly in spanish (I live in the countryside of a south american country). So I decided to try out doing it online as a side hustle, since to be honest, working as a tarot reader brings me a deep sense of joy and contempt. Personally I believe that the best part about reading cards for other's relies on the fact that it's a valuable learning experience for both parts, and it's beautiful to see someone grow and face any adversities they have in their way. At the moment, I'm working full time as a tarot reader/astrology reader on an app for esoteric practitioners, and also running this blog, hoping it becomes a nice space for anyone who is into approaching tarot by embracing all the possibilities it has to offer. My work on the app (I can't name it because of my contract) is mostly oriented to predictive and esoteric approaches, I also do a lot more astrology there nowadays, so this blog is less about predictions and spirituality and more about making mysticism, philosophy and esoteric traditions more practical to everyday life without taking away the depth or the power coming from this knowledge.
Tumblr media
・˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆ *˚ about my work ⁺ ✦ * .
Before you get to checking what's there to do, I'd like to say that I basically been reading tarot's for most of my conscious life, and I've seen and heard plenty of different perspectives, situations, and so on.  After that I came to the conclusion that the most important thing for me whenever I'm offering my reading services, is that you and I can sort of work together on how the reading gets done.
My biggest concern when reading for others is that I can communicate the messages from the tarot in a way that's efficient for both of us. I'm always willing to learn and listen without judging, because that way both of us can find the most meaningful and valuable way to approach the reading.
That's the reason why I specify the length of the readings and the main idea behind them but I don't limit too much the possibilities of what can be asked specifically on that reading. When I read for others, I'm more concerned about respecting and embracing their experiences and thoughts when it comes to tarot, than to impose mine. Not everyone is down for a spiritual experience, not everyone needs the shadow work, or the practical jungian stuff, maybe you don't want to know about the future, or you do but only about the good, and so on.
To sum it up:
ꕤ I value individuality, empathy and mutual respect, therefore i will never judge, discriminate or belittle the thoughts and experiences of anyone.
ꕤ My focus here is to make sure everyone has the possibility to find knowledge in a way that's helpful and meaningful to their personal and spiritual development.
ꕤ It is important to find the best way in which tarot can bring something of value to our lives, and this is highly personal to anyone involved in the process of the reading.
Tumblr media

JATP Season 2 Wishlist
that i wrote in my notes app back in:
Tumblr media
and realized i never posted it here? tbf i'm rarely on tumblr. but because i really miss them rn i want to share my ✨ brainrot ✨ that i had back when i thought they were getting a renewal.
Carrie Wilson
she was my biggest flaw in Season 1. I wish her "redemption arc" is fleshed out more in Season 2; give her either more context & backstory to validate her reason for unnecessarily antagonizing Julie, or screentime to properly address how she's just projecting an emotion completely different into bitterness and anger into Julie's recovery
show particularly her earlier dynamic w/ Flynn and Julie? Maybe as Flynn calls her out, we'd get flashback glimpses prior to Rose's death (maybe even Double Trouble temporarily being Triple Threat 👉🏽👈🏽)
for some reason i'm picturing a scene where she's in her dance studio (she has one in their mansion, of course) practicing some of her Dirty Candy routine when she keeps messing up and not in the right mindset to keep dancing. i feel like the best (maybe easiest but whatever) way to guide the audience into her artist mind is to make her be a perfectionist. in frustration, she blows up for a minute before slumping onto the ground and reminisces her fun times with Julie & Flynn
also when you have her develop, please don't make her lose her femininity and the bubblegum pop music, it's great
Old Songs Resurfacing
it'll prove how detailed & thorough you are as a screenwriter if you pay off the songs mentioned in Season 1 in passing to be actual songs in Season 2
Unreleased: Get Lost, Long Weekend, Crooked Teeth, My Name is Luke, and if that riff from the scene in EP. 5 that spurred on the Bobby reveal isn't from one of these songs, add that too
Demo Album: Late Last Night, Lakeside Reflection, In Your Starlight
Willex
imagine your queer couple gets to have their first kiss first than your het main couple, not only will that settle Madi & Charlie's statements about being uncomfortable in doing a kissing scene and maintaining the priority of Juke's emotional over physical relationship, it would also make an powerful statement
Reggie's Character Arc
i know that he initially had an arc that involved a romance with Flynn but because of the ages of who they casted, they scrapped it and didn't have time to rewrite the scripts for him as filming neared, so they have time to adapt to how jeremy portrayed him for season 2: a lovable dork who craves familial love
since there's a possibility that lifers can now see the boys, maybe some found family trope for Reggie and Ray Molina?
he has pretty much formed a parasocial relationship with him at this point
so why not instead of a love interest, Reggie can have his character arc develop & we see his family before thru flashbacks and paralleling those in the current times because he sees Ray as a father figure
picture this: it's raining, Bobby opens the garage door to the sound of knocking, the boys find Reggie soaking wet and out of breath when he tries to say he doesn't know where else to go then the boys immediately figure out another fight in the Peters household happened. Reggie tries to talk again when Alex (because even though they're the airhead-sarcastic duo, they know they love each other) runs up to hug him and tells the other he doesn't have to say anything
cut to a freshly showered Reggie, quietly watching tv with Bobby, Luke, and Alex in the garage, eating whatever
also a solo acoustic country song, pls. just to make him happy
The Aftermath of the Deaths
for both the boys and Rose
we get parallels about how Bobby dealt with trauma and grief to Julie
like, the reason why the clothes are still in there (are to have costume changes for the boys) is because Bobby immediately moved out of the house (therefore also the garage) and left the clothes there because he couldn't bear to burn it, or visit the boys' houses to break the news to their families and return the clothes, or donate it somewhere so he just...left it. it would make for a more solid reason (for costume changes) and an emotional context as to how Bobby really tried to forget them because it was "easier."
it would also make sense why Carrie and Julie ended up friends. Rose probably was there for Bobby when they discovered what happened at the alleyway, so they stayed friends over the years and had their respective families but still kept in touch, (bonus points if absolutely nothing romantic happened between them! yay to normalizing platonic male-female relationships) and why Rose would immediately think of Bobby's three late bandmates to send for Julie when she was on her deathbed
Bobby never really "moved on" (because grief is a really complex thing). it's showed that he has a therapist and everything, and this could definitely have some aftereffects on his daughter. Carrie growing up seeing her father be this amazing rockstar but a negligent father and only showing love in ways she doesn't need (like riches and fame and connections to the music industry) because he's actually a really lonely man on the inside and no one can see that except for Bobby's spouse and Carrie. it'd explain why Carrie is spoiled, and other negative character traits that Carrie has on the surface
it's even why Bobby changed his name to Trevor: 1) Bobby is so closely associated to Sunset Curve and it's an absolute pain to be reminded of that every day, 2) it's a stage name and artists really do get that
More Worldbuilding
they already had some pretty creative concepts/ideas in the first season, so why not expand/expound on them a bit more
the instruments are attached to their souls that's why the boys at first can only touch them, like how Willie's skateboard and helmet are attached to him
which is why when they attach themselves to the world of the present, they gather up energy and focus on touching tangible things like the picture frame
this may follow the logic toward the end where they are finally able to touch Julie because she has become attached to their souls. emotionally.
More Creative Collaboration
i believe in the principle that when a story is finally released/published/told to the world, the world shares it. this is also visible in film/tv where when the scripts are finished and actors receive them, the story becomes part of theirs to work on. which means that they have some sort of autonomy over their characters' motivations, a chance to be heard of their ideas and pitches, and why some certain scenes wouldn't work, etc etc. it doesn't just become the director's story nor the screenwriters'.
the actors' ideas such as Perfect Harmony and their solos from Nothing to Lose are great because they let them in. they took risks, and it paid off incredibly well. more of that please. have them be a part of the writing process, (also the story), but never forget what made the music production great in the first place. be coherent and don't be like others that let too many hands work on one piece—it will lose its sound, its identity.
Julie Knowing
that Nick is possessed by Caleb. ohmygOD. hear me out.
the same S1 ending will play somewhere in 2x01, but it will be revealed that Julie was watching through the window the entire time and when she opens the door to receive the flowers, that last look she gives him is actually her scheming.
determined to get Nick back, imagine The Promised Neverland's level of mindgames Julie could play with Caleb because we already know our girl's smart
Free Willie Willie's Freedom
since the boys feel indebted to Willie's help, they insist on helping him too with getting rid of Caleb's stamp
maybe through his connection with Alex? or maybe Willie's family or friends who are still lifers (which is unlikely but either way). he needs to be saved !!
Song Sequences Ideas
juke counter melody duet like Rini's "Even When/The Best Part," Shane & Mitchie's "Wouldn't Change a Thing," or dodie & Jon Cozart's "a love song/a non love song"
emotional carrie ballad paired with lyrical hiphop choreo
willex song - i absolutely have no idea where this could go directionally but maybe alex on an acoustic guitar with a really soft sweet tune
reprises of S1 songs but in the complete opposite of their original style (the fandom's lonelier All Eyes on Me version, i see u)
nick guitar solo - just because Sacha actually plays, idk how it'd fit in to the plot yet but hey
Nothing to Lose (Reprise) - back in the '90s, a producer manipulates Bobby to sign a record deal to become a star but on one condition: disassociate himself with Sunset Curve, to which he first declines until he slowly gets persuaded. (sort of like Todrick Hall's So Lucky to Be You meets Lyn Lapid's Producer Man)
"So how about it, Bobby Shaw? Do we have a deal?"
"Trevor."
"I'm sorry?"
"Call me Trevor Wilson."
i'm pretty sure someone made an animatic with this idea too but i cannot for the life of me find it !!
7. Season 2 starts the same way as Season 1 does before the opening song plays
Black screen that reads a text "Hollywood 1995"
a pan down to the Orpheum's overhead sign that reads "SUNSET CURVE SOLD OUT"
cut to the interior with Rose finishing up her cleaning when a stage manager calls out: "Sunset Curve!" to which Bobby abruptly stops his pacing back and forth to look up. he and Rose look at each other. music swells until...
cut to him running onto the alleyway, "are they still not finished eating? those gluttons are dead to me i swear—" he cuts off his own words when he sees the boys getting dragged onto stretchers. but we, the audience, don't see it. just a close up of bobby as the ambulance lights reflects his face. rose comes up behind him, still clutching their t-shirt.
[i honestly have no idea if Bobby should get on stage because it just proves Luke's theory of The Orpheum's opening bands eventually becoming big & successful so it'll explain the Trevor Wilson fame even though at first he only did it for the boys, or if he shouldn't because according to the article Julie googled he ran away immediately after they were pronounced in the scene] but either way, this is how the opening starts.
then it progresses to Rose and Bobby respectively having children so they could parallel each other blah blah
8. Julie plays a simple song on the piano while the guys watch her in awe
Storytelling through Props
let's dive deep into Rose's luggage/suitcase and use the props to head for Julie's emotional attachment with them
they already did it with the wardrobe: Rose wears the black leather vest in the pilot while Julie wears the same thing in EP 6
add depth to the characters' relationships like us finding out Julie's multilayered necklace is actually a gift from Carrie or something
SOYON ANN YOU'RE A GIFT FROM GOD. Bobby's necklace is present in both young and old!him
**Rose in flashback scenes should be wearing clothes we've already seen Julie in Season 1 just for greater effect.
The Bobby Conflict
definitely needs to be brought up again by Season 2; they only discarded somewhere in the middle because more pressing matters like the boys' existence blipping away was pushed to the forefront of the story
however, The Bobby Conflict changes. it'll be cleared up that he was offered a record deal as a solo artist by a manipulative producer. and given that the poor boy is only 17 (too, maybe), he agrees. what he doesn't know is the contract's fine print: giving up Sunset Curve's royalties
that information clears it up to the audience and the band, so the conflict becomes this: Bobby's Survivor's Guilt. god wouldn't that be so good tackling that in a kids'/family show.

i was scrolling your “life is in your home too” tag, which I love btw, and saw a post about how you learned to be a good dom from experienced expert doms by reading how they dom and some of their best scenes, do you think you could point me in the direction of some resources for me to study that too? thanks in advance, if not, thanks anyway!
(post referenced is here - link 1)
first of all tysm for this ask (+ your incredibly kind follow-up), it was a delight to receive + i’ve been wanting an excuse to talk about a lot of this for a while so i very much appreciate the interest!
as always please keep in mind that i am Just Some Fem, nothing is universal including when it comes to D/s & i can only speak to what works for me. i try to focus on starting points rather than specifics but ultimately my advice will always be limited by what i needed to hear & wasn’t told, which may not be what’s helpful for a different person. with that being said, here’s some suggestions!
i’ve posted a previous reading list (link 2) with relevant recs; particularly the practicality + sex writing sections have the kind of thing you’re looking for. specifically, The New Topping Book (2003) is a solid starting point; i definitely have my issues with it (haven’t read it recently enough to recall many specifics but i have the sense of general pervasive racism & ableism) but it did a good job at making me think & i appreciate the supportive tone they were going for
another book added to my tbr since then is Coming to Power (link 3), released by SAMOIS in 1983
other authors whose sex writing has been influential in my life: Sandra Cisneros, Natalie Diaz, Joan Nestle, Judy Grahn
the fic At The End of His Rope by Letterblade (link 4) is genuinely some of my favorite sex writing of all time & accomplishes the incredibly impressive feat of representing a broad array of dom styles & changes over time in the same piece
my “impurity culture” tag (link 5) houses the building blocks of my sexual ethic
i’ve found many of those foundations by poking around the incredible bodies of work original & archived @newsmutproject @woman-loving @gatheringbones
for me, studying sex is the same as studying poetry – reading for craft is a different process than for pleasure (not that there isn’t a great deal of pleasure to be found in such practice, especially for sadists – perhaps that’s why as a child i never resonated with Billy Collins’ “Introduction to Poetry,” like i love tying poems to chairs & beating them idk what to tell you). so, keeping in mind that these are suggestions not requirements, here’s how i read for + work on craft:
there is no such thing as too much journaling. this can take whatever form you prefer – voice memo, discord message to yourself, the noble notes app, your own personal sexy red string corkboard, a vast & stunning array of other approaches i can’t even begin to imagine. i personally have an elaborate web of spreadsheets & google docs lmao. what matters is developing a collection of ideas you want to play with + a practice of continually reflecting on past experiences.
pay attention to structure, not just content. find a scene you think is disjointed and pick at the seams, brainstorm better transitions. then find a scene that flows so smoothly it carries you with it and figure out what makes it work.
rewrite a scene you’re drawn to or affected by to suit your own preferences. i first did this when i couldn’t shake “Interlude 3” (link 6) from my head after reading The New Topping Book; you can read my variation on the theme here (link 7) if you’re interested.
write or think through a scene fantasy you have from negotiation to aftercare. obviously it’s very difficult if not impossible to fully script a scene in advance; the purpose isn’t planning something you’ll later do but rather getting used to coming up with ideas to get from one disparate moment / act to the next.
revisit a scene you’ve read, written, thought about, etc and list the physical & mental acts that are required / expected of the sub (eg, kneeling for 10 minutes; making eye contact; counting to 30, etc). then rework the scene for a sub who has the same interests & goals who cannot do 20% (or 50%, or any) of these acts.
revisit a previous scene and list the places where you think a sub might safeword & why. then rework it with the sub safewording somewhere that isn’t any of these places.
i also recommend keeping in mind that like… for me, reading about ethical sex can often be a very distressing process for the same reason that it’s liberating: because it proves that things i’ve experienced are not the way sex has to be. i’ll tell this story in its fullness one day but the first time i read S/HE by Minnie Bruce Pratt i literally had a flashback to events i’d repressed for years, it was devastating, i’m so grateful for it. hell, in the process of compiling resources for this post i cried twice editing this quote (link 8) because between reading that book the first time & now someone did “respond with scorn or ridicule” when i safeworded. so i would really encourage folks to approach this kind of work with as much grace & comfort for yourself as you can muster or borrow – if it’s really fucking hard, you’re not alone in that, & it’s okay to take your time + pace yourself + seek support.
your + others’ interest is definitely motivating me to actually write posts i’ve been tossing around for months so thank you again & feel free to keep an eye out for more shut-in sex tips in my new “tomorrow sexting will be good again” tag. would love to hear your thoughts on any of this post / these or other books / whatever really lol. wishing you all the best & i hope today is kind to you! 💓

Green-Eyed Monster pt. 1
Tumblr media
“You must really be some freak for your Mom to pay me to be your friend.”
Aspen sighed from his seat at one of the many gazebos, just trying to continue his book. His leg bouncing up and down, up and down as his hearing is practically consumed by the garden party surrounding him.
His mother, always the socialite, pretty regularly hosted her ‘garden galas’ to show off her gorgeous gardens, along with new products they’ve developed. At least that’s what Aspen was told.
But all Aspen could focus on was the people moving about, the talking, the music blaring. Sundresses swished, and the grass crunched. Every bit of conversation seemed to be tailored made to grate on his ears. He couldn’t even try and focus on his Mandarin homework.
And then to make matters worse, there was this punk in front of him. One of his ‘friends’. Aspen had always had issues with making friends, and his Mom really tried to help out. Aspen knew his mommy had a good heart, and just really wanted him to make friends.
But he had ran through so many, that he now ended up with this guy.
“My mere and my pere say you’re supposed to be really ‘special’. That being your friend is..” the child paused, trying to remember exactly what his parents said and how to pronounce it “‘in-tea-grall for us being safe during the app-ocul-lapse.’ Whatever that means. And you are special, the bad kind.”
The child let out his best sneer his 8 year old face could make, before lifting the ball that was previously being used for soccer, and chucking it at Aspen’s face.
It was as Aspen’s glasses came closer to his green eyes, and he felt the plastic crack, that he had enough. The noises, the feeling of people brushing past him, and now this child insulting him and interrupting his attempts at maintaining his calm was immediately shattered.
His bouncing leg became a kicking one, his arm began to flail and he started to scream.
The child before him, David, looked at him as if he was crazy before his facial expression began to change as the grass beneath him began to grow at an alarming rate. Before he knew it, the grass came at him, consuming him. It crawled and crawled, until there was no more to cover. He stood in a horrified pose, the words “Mommy!” Still on his lips. He had become one of the many topiary’s all the people here today came to admire.
Of course, this was enough to garner attention. All the attendees turned to look at in horror and awe. Some even applauded and whispered to one another “this is the power of our lord. And to think, he has such strong powers only at 8.”
David’s mother was of course not nearly as thrilled. She ran up to the shrub, crying. She turned to Aspen, who was still kicking and screaming, and began to plea for mercy.
It was then Aspen’s mother appeared, and cradled her son in her arms. She had dealt with these ‘meltdowns’ as the councilor called them plenty enough.
“Everyone, please step back. I know we haven’t seen such a display in a while, but Aspen needs space. I assure you, David will return to his normal self soon enough. While you are more than welcome to continue enjoying the party, I think Aspen and I will take our leave now.”
It is with a hasty smile she took Aspen and herself back into her house, a constant ‘sorry’ on her lips. Meanwhile Aspen had more so gone to his ‘nonverbal, dissociation’ part of his meltdown, and all he could stare at was the children who conversed and played with his emerald green eyes. Eyes the color of envy.

Cyber witch practices: a look at the spiritual side of things
Those of you who have followed me for a long time know that I’m all over the place in terms of my practice. However, since coming to cybermancy, I have found myself drawn in by the concept of the spiritual side of things. Due to my personal battle with depression, I found that by utilizing cybermancy for spiritual healing, I could increase my dopamine levels and create a better life for myself.
In addition, I found that having a set schedule of doing things is great for those who are of the ADHD group. So, without further ado, here is a look at my personal daily practices.
6 Am: Wake up and check phone for new Pokémon in my Pokémon sleep app. The Pokémon go+ has been enchanted with a spell to increase Pokémon capture as these are essentially cyber spirits.
7 Am: Shower and listen to pagan music, an audiobook (audio-bibliomancy) or the radio while in the shower using a Bluetooth speaker.
7:30 Am: Get dressed and grab my laptop and go to eat breakfast. While I eat breakfast, I email the gods to help me through the day. I also perform videomancy or some form of divination/channeling. Bluetooth headphones and laptop or tablet are required for this.
8 Am: Back in my room, I perform my daily prayers through email, channel my classes and create digital charm bags and spells. The codespells are done through an intuitive esolang that I highly recommend everyone try to develop for themselves. It is my theory that every cyber witch has an esolang in their soul that works best for them. Codespells are then put into my watch as a form of charm bracelet.
10 Am: If I am not working on the given day, then I perform ludomancy (game magic) and game using a virtual game controller app and dolphin emulator. Through this, I keep my eyes open for the spirits that may decide they want to make a lesson out of something in the virtual world. If I am working, then the prior step would be the end of it.
Tools of a Cyber witch
Now I know I make alot of posts about this due to my major obsession with magical go bags and stuff, but hear me out. A lot of tech that we use on a day to day basis is larger than we are able to conceivably carry when we’re in the workaday world. For that reason I have compiled a list of tools that limit the amount of physical devices and increase the digital tools.
Laptop or tablet: Key item for any cyber witch. Self explanatory as the tablet or the laptop is useful for divination, spell coding, charm making, potion brewing (auditory potions) and astral projection.
Kindle: An e-reader is highly useful as it provides a distraction free place to read and meditate on things that might otherwise be lost in the background. Also makes a useful way to carry around reference materials and making notes.
Voice recorder: Useful for vocal notes regarding magical research and even just keeping an audio journal. This could also be done through the phone.
Smartphone: Kind of an all-in-one device for all kinds of magic. This serves as a wand, portal to the otherworld, altar space, grimoire, tarot deck and crystal ball.
Chargers: Kind of self explanatory due to needing to charge up our devices on a daily basis.
Bluetooth speaker: Ordinarily, this would get mixed in with the headphones, but I want to state that a Bluetooth speaker is highly useful for sound baths, astral projection, and works as a way to augment one’s own power.
Bluetooth headphones: Functioning as a form of talisman or (with a stretch of the imagination) a way to astral project and channel.
USB necklace: Kind of a bag of holding for magical ingredients.
Crystal and plant apps: I recently discovered that these apps not only help identify and provide useful knowledge about the things they are made for, but they are essentially cabinets of magical ingredients. All you need is to either look up the name on google images or just take a snapshot of the images provided in the app. There you go, you have your crystal for meditation or for casting a spell.
Does this post make you think of anything else that I might have missed, please message me or comment with your additions.

Author: ToBeAWriter98
Summary: Thirty-four year old Wanda Maximoff, founder and CEO of one of the most renowned Private Practice's in Manhattan, New York finds herself feeling incredibly lonely despite her numerous achievements. Throwing herself into her work was nice and fulfilling, until it wasn't and she found herself missing something everyone around her seemed to have. A loved one, partner or spouse.
Unfortunately, with her career choice finding love is seemingly impossible until she finds herself downloading Honeysuckle, a well known Sugar Baby app recommended to her by her best friend and right hand, Natasha Romanoff. She was doubtful she'd find anyone worth getting to know, until she winds up meeting a down to earth young woman who would make the most wonderful sugar baby. A girl who seems to be just as lonely as herself, with a difficult life to handle. Will a contract turn into more when Wanda finds her short lived infatuation, developing into full blown feelings and she ends up falling in love instead.
Or

Not knowing what to do, her good friend Peter Quill mentions a Sugar Baby app that saved him from drowning in school debt. It sounded like a joke at first, Emilia in no way wanted to make money from older men who just wanted to swoon over her in exchange for money. But maybe it wouldn't be so bad, when she finds herself being matched with a stunning older woman by the name of Wanda Maximoff.

Loneliest On A Friday Night (1)
Tumblr media
=======
Song Inspiration: People Watching by Conan Gray
=======
Wanda honestly had far more important things to attend to on a Friday evening, but she unfortunately found herself being dragged off to one of the local bars by none other than Natasha Romanoff, her right hand and best friend since college.
It has been a busy, yet eventful day at the Avengers Private Practice, and since the day held many accomplishments the team had decided to call it a night once eight thirty hit. The boys had spent a majority of the day with the intention of spending the evening at one of the local lounge bars that Tony swore held the best view and customer service in all of Manhattan. They convince Natasha to come along during their lunch break that Wanda had skipped as she was in the middle of a case that needed her immediate attention, the redhead practically tugged Wanda out of her office when the work day finished. It took some persuading, being that Wanda typically spent her Friday evenings working late. Surprisingly, it was her personal assistant Vision who claimed that she deserved a night off after such a successful work day, the man hitching a ride with Banner whilst Steve carpooled with Tony.
"Wands, come on! It's a Friday night, live a little. There is nothing more stress relieving than a night on the town, even better, Stark is buying all the drinks for the evening." Natasha laughed, offering the bronde haired woman a gleaming grin as she looked like she'd rather be anywhere then on her way for an out of office gathering with the team.
In all reality, Natasha knew firsthand that there was no better medicine than a possible lay with a one night stand and it was apparent Wanda was in dire need of it.
"Right, because there is nothing more fun than being in a crowded bar on a Friday night where anyone and everyone's thoughts are on the rise." Wanda replies back sarcastically, the woman cringing to herself at the thought of encountering any uncomforting thoughts while under the influence of alcohol. She could already feel the headache forming at the base of her skull at the chance of being bombarded by a board of drunken thoughts from men and women alike.
It wasn't that she was incapable of blocking the thoughts out, it was just the fact that whilst under the influence other people's thoughts, regardless of her mental wall would still filter through at random. It was one of the most annoying setbacks of her abilities, she never really encountered true peace and silence.
"Oh, you'll be fine." Natasha says, waving off Wanda's excuse. Of course, there was no way for her to truly understand the impact that Wanda's powers had on her mentality, but she knew the bronde haired woman long enough to know the immense control she had when it came to her overall abilities.
"I overheard Steve saying that he invited Pietro, maybe seeing your counterpart will cheer you up."
Wanda and Natasha weren't in a rush as they took in the cool, mid September breeze. It was particularly refreshing after the busy they had today in the office, though, it appeared that only one of them was ecstatic to be out and about on the slightly crowded New York sidewalk. Natasha led Wanda by her arm towards the entrance for a bar lounge called the 'Night Owl'. People were being allowed in by the bouncer, and light music could be heard through the doors, as they gave Stark's name. The bouncer not even batting an eye, as the red haired woman led Wanda through the doors.
It was a slight surprise that despite it being a Friday night, there weren't as many patrons as initially assumed in the classy, almost vintage style lounge. It didn't take the two very long to find their group as they immediately caught sight of Tony, Steve and Bruce in a well heated discussion most likely about some new product Stark was in the motions of creating. Vision was sat on one of the faux leather couches, listening intently to the discussion with a pocket sized notepad in hand as Pietro stood behind him, sipping on a beer while peering over the blonde haired man's shoulder at his notes in hand with a furrowed expression, his silver hair falling slightly over his eyes.
"Looks like the party started without us, couldn't wait any longer boys?" Natasha teases, as she releases Wanda's arm, finding herself a spot on the couch right in the mix of where the men sat conversing.
Tony scoffed. "Says the woman who's twenty minutes late to the gathering." He replies back, his lips pursed as he peers slightly over his glasses at the redhead who had no problem with interrupting his debate with Rogers, while Bruce mediated the conversation in a calm manner to keep tensions from rising.
There was one thing that everyone knew and that was Bruce's aversion to being caught in the middle of heated and anger fueled situations. He is typically a well mannered, laid back sort of guy so when and if he was caught in the middle of something that could be handled better it annoyed him to no end. He found himself most often keeping a close eye on Tony and Steve to keep things from escalating and getting out of control.
"Only because a certain someone didn't want to leave the office." Natasha snarks, shooting Wanda a pointed look as the woman of topic settled herself next to Vision, on the couch across from her.
Wanda's jaw dropped slightly at how quickly Nat had managed to throw her under the bus, she couldn't help but scoff and this was sixteen years worth of friendship. "Well damn, don't pretend like I didn't tell you to go on ahead without me."
"You're right. Next time, I'll leave you behind to be a hermit." She replies nonchalantly, a smug expression on her face as she holds eye contact with Wanda for a moment. Letting out a chuckle at the glare she received back, the bronde haired woman squinting her eyes, a hint of red that only she could make out appeared briefly before dimming back to her natural green orbs.
"Oh, come on sestra! You know our outings wouldn't be the same if you didn't come along. You practically live at the office." Pietro cut in, his Sokovian accent thick as he wrapped his arms around Wanda's shoulders playfully, giving her a slight squeeze.
Wanda pulled at Pietro's blue tie that fell over her shoulder, tilting her head to look at him with piercing green eyes. Holding back a chuckle at the way he physically gulped. "That's a bit biased coming from you, we've been joined at the hip since birth, you literally can't live without me brat." Wanda spoke humorously, tugging at the garment a little more.
"Ms. Maximoff?" Vision questions, his eyebrows raising up slightly as he watches Pietro's face flush light pink. He learned from the first day on the job that Wanda was not a force to be reckoned with and this was her brother. It was clear she was being playful, so he couldn't imagine what it would be like to witness her in a full rage. She was the definition of someone who was dangerously beautiful.
It was apparent to Pietro that Wanda wasn't in a very playful mood today. Maybe Natasha was right when she claimed that his sister needed to get laid and the sooner she did, the better. "I didn't see that coming." Pietro says, a sheepish smile on his face as he releases Wanda from his embrace and pulls back his tie from her grip, adjusting the tie since it had become particularly tight around his neck.
"Pietro is right, Wanda." Steve remarks kindly, his blue eyes meeting green with the utmost sincerity. To him, Wanda worked too hard, yes, she is the founder and CEO of one of the most removed Private Practices in Manhattan but in no way did she have to take it on alone. Not when she had them, and they would always be there for her. No matter what.
"It wouldn't have been the same if you hadn't come out with us tonight. We're a team after all."
"Alright." Tony states, clapping his hands together with a grin.
"I'm sure the boss knows how much we love her. Now, time for some drinks." Without another word, Tony immediately walks off towards the bar, Bruce following behind him as they order some celebratory drinks. It didn't take long till they began to recap their conversation before Natasha had interrupted earlier.
Pietro moves to sit between Wanda and Vision on the couch, practically squeezing his body between theirs when there were clearly other spots available. Nonetheless, Wanda and Vision scooted apart in order to make space for the silver haired man. It didn't take long for Stark to come back bearing a bottle of Chateau d'Oupia, a red blend of Carignan and Syrah. Followed by a tray of glasses filled with single-malt scotch. Bruce followed behind him, two bottles of Yuengling Traditional Yager per hand, the man handing one off to Steve and VIsion who grabbed the bottles in thanks. Pietro did not waste a second as he reached for a glass of single-malt scotch from the tray Tony was carrying.
"Care for a glass Ms. Maximoff." Tony asks, not waiting for a reply as he fills two glasses with the red wine, handing them off to Natasha and Wanda, who claim the glasses gratefully.
"Too hard days of work" He announces, lifting up his own glass of scotch in the air and together the group cheered to another successful day. Every new day held trials worth surpassing and all of them deserved a night off.
It didn't take long for the group to become a tad bit tipsy, as they settled around comfortably in a circle amongst one another. Wanda found herself blocking out the conversation floating around since she couldn't really relate with the topic at hand.
"Mr. Stark, how have things been since your engagement with Miss Potts? Did you two pick a date out for the wedding already?" Vision asks curiously, it was known amongst the group that Tony proposed to Pepper the week prior. They apparently dated off and on for quite a few years, so it was quite the news that he finally found the courage to pop the question.
"We're thinking January of next year, Pepper really adores the idea of a winter wedding and who am I to deny what my girl wants." Tony answers, taking a sip of his scotch. He knew that when it came to Pepper's happiness he would do whatever it takes to make it happen.
"She's been doing a lot of research for possible venues, I'd say that everything is going really well, I'm happy to one day be able to call her my wife."
"That is so sweet." Natasha mocks playfully, shooting Stark a wink. Placing her empty wine glass on the coffee table in front of her, having finished off her third glass of the evening.
"Stark is growing up on us, finally getting hitched after how long?"
"Seven years." Bruce coughed into his fist, avoiding eye contact from Tony who sent him a glare.
Steve knocks back the rest of his Yager, placing the bottle on the table as he nodded to Natasha and Bruce's words, the blonde haired man holding back a chuckle. Tony and Pepper had been off and on for a while, though it was evident Pepper and Tony couldn't live without one another.
"Too long, I'm proud of you Tony."
Tony waves Steve off, Steve was far too sentimental for his taste sometimes, especially while under the influence of a good drink."Yeah, yeah, thanks Rogers. Isn't it your anniversary soon, going on what, three years?
"It's going on fifteen years." Steve says happily, a sparkle appearing in his eyes at the mention of his wife, Peggy.
She will forever remain his first everything, his true love and the two practically grew up together while Steve was training to become a member of the U.S. Army. Peggy supported him and even requested to keep in touch as he was sent off on his first tour till he came back home after his fourth due to injury. It was the accident that made him decide to pursue a career in Sports Psychology.
"Wait..." He trails off, eyes wide while he remembers something that slipped his mind. "Nat, how are things going with Bucky? He mentioned you last week while we were on our weekly phone call."
"I miss him, honestly." Natasha admits, knowing that Steve understood what it was like to have a loved one away whilst in the military.
Steve had actually been the one to introduce him and Natasha while James had been visiting New York after being on leave for two months after being stationed in Iraq. They got to know one another over lunch, and after a few dates became inseparable since they became official.
"He's touring in Sokovia right now, they're trying to wind down the more dangerous areas to better protect the public from terrorist attacks."
Wanda listens intently to Natasha's words, being well informed on the ruins that was her home country, Sokovia was in the midst of war right now and a lot of people were being affected, especially the local villages where Wanda and Pietro were born.
"That's awful." Vision says, his heart aching at how terrible things were going for foreign countries right now. Primarily Sokovia who was in the middle of a war that the United States Military was trying to maintain and keep under wraps.
"As much as I would looove to hear more about my home country." Pietro stands up from his spot on the couch, taking the last sip of his second scotch.
"There's a woman over there who is calling me with her gaze." He brushes his fingers through his silver hair, placing the empty glass on the table before walking away from the group towards a beautiful dark skinned woman, with professionally coiled dark hair as she gave him a grin, biting her lip the closer he came towards her.
Steve glances at his watch, whistling at the late hour as it was bordering on eleven o'clock and it was always in his best interest to get home to Peggy whenever he could, the man very well aware of their very busy schedules "As much as I'm enjoying spending time with the team, I best get home to Peggy, I'm sure she's waiting on me as we speak."
He stands up from his spot on the couch, bidding everyone a pleasant night as he gathered his jacket and left the group to continue amongst themselves. Vision takes the opportunity to excuse himself to the restroom while Tony and Bruce move to the bar once again in a deep conversation on how to convert an app to help prioritize good sleeping habits for teens and adults alike struggling with irregular sleep patterns from anxiety and depression , while also providing tips and breathing exercises to maximize overall healthier habits.
Since the boys had gone their separate ways, it left Natasha and Wanda to converse amongst one another while they sat in a comfortable silence, both women contemplating on getting another glass of red wine or settling for the evening. Unfortunately for Wanda, now that she was starting to relax the slight murmurs of voices started to make themselves known in the back of her mind.
Some are far more provocative than others.
"I apologize for Pietro's dismissive behavior when you were speaking about Sokovia." Wanda apologizes, her voice slightly husky and accent thick from the amount of alcohol she consumed. Her body felt positively light, the woman well aware that she was going to sleep flawlessly tonight when she got home.
Natasha waves off the apology. "Don't even worry about that, it's a hard conversation to have especially for you two, Sokovia is your home country, the very place you originated from. It's understandable that talks of war and disaster would hit close to home. Soldiers like Bucky, they are the ones who sacrifice their lives to keep places like Sokovia and Iraq from falling completely under terrorist control."
Wanda hums in response, her heart aching at the reminder of what she had lost due to her home country undergoing war and economic ruins. Natasha was right about one thing, it wasn't an easy conversation for her or Pietro, since losing their parents in the bombing of their village when they were still children. The very day they became orphans, and it was something that Pietro never moved on from. For Wanda, despite the pain of losing them she could only pray that they were not in a better place, one of peace and everlasting happiness.
That traumatic day would forever be something Pietro and Wanda would never forget, and moving to America to seek higher education didn't wash away the memories they held deep within from their home country. Going to college and making a new life had allowed them to grow as individuals but it did not change where they came from. Sokovia would always be their home.
"I've begun my application to become a monthly donor for the Sokovian Affairs Association." Wanda starts off, her mind already calculating a way for her to possibly become a key contributor to the organization. Maybe, Natasha and her could come up with a Charity Fundraiser event for local and even out of state Private Practices to attend and encourage them to donate to the SAA cause. Tony would have a field day with the idea, and there was no doubt Steve and Bruce would contribute any way they could.
"As much as I would love to continue with this very charitable conversation, let's put a pin in it and save it for another day because I think there is something far more important that needs to be discussed." Natasha remarks, giving Wanda a knowing look. The bronde haired woman has a very loving heart, but she tended to put herself last and it was very selfless. There was not anything wrong with being selfless, until one became a hermit like Wanda and decided that her romantic life was unimportant.
They had been lounging comfortably for a few hours, and not once had Wanda tried to look out for any potential suitors or one night stands. Yes, it was an outing with the team, but if she really wanted to she could have any man or woman she wanted and she didn't, Wanda didn't care to even make an effort.
Wanda rolls her eyes at Natasha's words, already aware of where this conversation would lead up too. "I don't even have to guess what you're insinuating," Wanda sighs in annoyance, running her fingers through her bronde locks, getting her hair out of her face as she focuses her attention on her best friends.
"I've already told you that I have far more important things to think about than having casual sex or a one night stand." She honestly was not in the right mind to have this conversation again, Natasha was stubborn and sometimes her behavior annoyed Wanda to no end.
Natasha throws her hands up in exasperation, Wanda could be so stubborn and it was so irritating for the red haired woman when she knew that Wanda works too hard to not take the time to live a little. "For god sakes Wanda, you're the literal founder and CEO of your own company, not to mention leading Psychologist in marriage and family counseling both of which you yourself do not have. You have never once settled down, where's the stability?"
"Nat..." Wanda starts, only to immediately get cut off by Natasha.
"Hell, you don't even have to settle down but you should put yourself out there. Play the field a little, I mean even Pietro is..." Natasha explains gently, wanting Wanda to understand where she was coming from. She wanted Wanda to find real happiness, not contentment that gave from her job and achievements, but real love. Not just the comfort of financial stability and enjoying a glass of wine on a Friday night after a successful day in the office, companionship. Wanda was in dire need of a companion, someone who could love her more than she herself even deserved, more than what she would get just being around her friends and brother.
"Pietro is the definition of a fuck boy." Wanda replies bluntly, accent thick as she clenched her jaw in irritation. She was not at all pleased with the advice Natasha was trying to offer her.
It wasn't unknown to her that she was indeed sexually frustrated and in need of a real release that didn't come from her own hands but Wanda didn't want to just have a fling or one night stand. Those things were only temporary and Natasha was right, she wants something with stability. She wants to know and find comfort in the thought that someone could need her as much as she needed them. Something real.
"Hear me out," Natasha demands, slightly annoyed by the way Wanda brushed off the conversation as if it wasn't important. The two had this conversation quite often, but none of the talks actually provided any significant changes in her life.
"Hand me your phone, it'll be easier to show you rather than tell you."
Wanda takes her phone out from her purse handing the device off to Natasha who held out her hand expectantly without another word. Another glass of wine was beginning to sound positively alluring right now, but before she could make up her mind and head over to the bar Nat hands her phone back in record time. All she could do was glance down at the screen, her green eyes widening in utter surprise at what Nat pulled up in her app store.
It was Honeysuckle, a Sugar Baby app, one specifically designed to match sugar babies with potential sugar Daddies and Mommies. Wanda could not believe what she was looking at, had she fell so far down the rabbit hole that Natasha felt the need to recommend potentially paying someone to spend time with her.
"You don't want to settle down, and yet you crave something with stability." Natasha says, taking in Wanda's furrowed expression as she reads her like a book, knowing that as her nose scrunched up that she was obviously considering her options.
"I'm not saying it's for everyone, but you have the money and you could honestly find a really good candidate. Hell, you could even set up a few interviews to find someone who best fits your needs. Whether it be casual sex, or even just someone to watch movies with on a Friday night. You never know, you could be helping them as much as their company is helping you."
"I'm not sure finding a sugar baby is something I need right now..." Wanda trails off, her mind whirling in possibilities of how finding a sugar baby could actually really work for her. She found herself really considering the idea of paying someone to spend time with her and she could find a candidate who genuinely needed funds to better their life.
The arrangement could remain casual, or even become something long-term if she managed to find someone worth getting to know. Questioning herself if she was even Sugar Mommy material, she shouldn't even kid herself knowing that she most likely fit the description.
And that was the end of their conversation, Natasha and her did not continue with the topic, instead opting to call in a night and get home so they could wind down and relax in the comfort of their own homes grateful for the weekend ahead of them. Both knowing that once Monday came means another busy week waiting to be accomplished.
Except, Wanda couldn't relax, even after she'd settled in bed with a book after a nice, soothing honey oat milk bath she couldn't find it in herself to stop thinking about the conversation she had with Natasha. Back to the app she recommended.
Wanda told Natasha that finding a sugar baby wasn't something she needed in her life right now, but how could she truly know it wasn't something that could very well prove to be useful if she didn't even give it a chance. Wanda was tired of contemplating the what ifs and didn't waste another second as she found herself grabbing her phone from the bedside table, pulling up the Sugar Baby app up in the play store and downloading it. It wasn't too long before she was ViP verified, and spent time working on her overall profile. Trying her best not to be overly detailed in her bio, which proved to be a little difficult when she had too much to say. After becoming verified the app pretty much guaranteed her that she'd be matched with other profiles that were also verified and that was really pleasing because she didn't have the patience to deal with scammers and bots.
Her eyebrows furrow at the considerable amount of time she spent swiping through potential candidates, but none of them caught her eye. It felt like every profile she swipes by all had similar reasons as to why they were in search of a sugar Mommy or Daddy, Wanda almost found herself giving up on the idea entirely until her green eyes land on an absolute angel, a young woman with enticing blue-grey irises and freckle covered cheeks that reached the tip of her nose.
Emilia Harvard.
Once again the word angel came to mind, Wanda couldn't help herself as her green eyes trace the innocent girl's features. Her profile picture just oozed pure of heart and she clicked on the profile wanting to read more than just the woman's name. Taking her time as she reads diligently over Emilia's well thought out bio, Wanda became intrigued at the career she wanted to obtain as a postgraduate from CUNY School of Professional Studies.
'She wants to be a Substance Abuse Counsellor.' Wanda thought to herself, wondering silently to what could have possibly led her down such a down to earth, emotional and yet, impactful career choice. Emilia's profile explained that she was in need of money for paying off her outstanding financial debt and medical bills, she went on to say that if she couldn't meet Uni's expectations that she wouldn't be allowed to graduate.
She found herself once again gazing into her blue-grey orbs, eyes scanning over the woman's face. Emilia didn't appear to be unwell, if anything she did appear physically exhausted if the slight dark circles under her eyes was any consolation on her overall well-being. Even with the smile she had on her face, it was clearly a front because all Wanda could gather was that her eyes screamed 'save me, I'm drowning.'
Wanda presses the thumbs up icon on Emilia's profile and became pleasantly surprised when an app notification popped up notifying her that they'd coincidentally matched and now, all she had to do was reach out and possibly consider scheduling time to meet the young woman in person. It was a great thing that CUNY School of Professional Studies was hardly a half hours drive from her penthouse.
Now, it was coming up with what to say that had Wanda nervous as her thumbs hover over her keypad contemplating the right way to introduce herself since this wasn't something she'd ever done before.

Note
hello ms. comrade Ironside, longtime reader, first time caller.
as a fellow writer of queer erotica, I was wondering if you had any thoughts/spoons to share those thoughts on wordpress being swept into the AI debacle under automattic? (I think that’s what you use to host your cool website, forgive me if I am mistaken.) I’m trying to figure out where to set up an author website of my own so I don’t have to host my stuff on tumblr anymore, but I’m a bit gun-shy in the current moment. I know AI trawling is inevitable in today’s internet, but as someone who’s been doing the indie author thing for some time (and admirably!), is there something you would recommend, best practices or otherwise, to someone just trying to get their metaphorical kite off the ground? or anything you wish you knew when you set up your own author-type socials? any thought at all would be genuinely appreciated.
thanks for your time, and I hope you and yours are as well as can be expected 🖤
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but afaik nothing approaching best practices has been figured out yet; it's all already happening and there's precious little as can be done to put the toothpaste back in the tube. Of course I uncheck all the little boxes in settings and deny them my consent or whatever, but I don't think a gaggle of unimaginative piss-bellied technocrats who decided it was a sensible use of vast amounts of water and power to teach a computer how to write very badly are what I'd call trustworthy. I'm still gonna move all my website shit off of Wordpress because they won't let me get rid of the stupid AI assistant thing, but that's more a case of their UI being ugly and dumb than me thinking it'll actually do any good.
Best I can tell you on that front is to try to find yourself a niche and develop yourself as an artist from there; "Write the kinds of books you wish other people were writing" is good general advice, and a human operator is always going to be capable of things a predictive network just isn't. Other ppl are gonna disagree with that, but they're wrong. Their understanding of resource allocation and scarcity is just childishly naive and you shouldn't waste your time listening to people who think we're gonna solve climate change with apps or whatever.
Far as social media goes, this is still the best one for hocking books as far as I can tell. I'm hearing a lot of good things about Cohost and Pillowfort, but their user bases are still quite small, and I haven't found the indie author community on Bluesky yet. If Tumblr goes belly up I'll probably end up migrating to one of those first two primarily b/c I think longform blogging is the secret stuff for ppl like me who are just too crabby and agoraphobic to be Twitter influencers; I may not be any good at videos or regular quick posts or documenting the writing process (which is too bad, b/c a lot of my friends who do that stuff seem to be having fun with it), but I sure can Lay Out Some Thoughts in A Few Paragraphs and I like to think that's something ppl expect from a novelist.
Also, never get in a public argument, don't go posting Your Thoughts On The Issues unless someone asked or you feel like you've got something interesting to say, and be very selective with how much and what personal information you give out to the hoi polloi. Those are my 3 rules for how to do social media good.

EXCLUSIVE: As romance scams are on the rise, a bipartisan group of lawmakers is introducing new legislation aimed at holding accountable those who seek to defraud retirees and steal their hard-earned savings.
U.S. Sens. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., and Rep. David Valadao, R-Calif., introduced the Romance Scam Prevention Act, which would require dating apps and services to issue fraud ban notifications to users who have interacted with a person removed from the app.
The move came as Americans are more than ever connected thanks to social media and dating apps that allow us to stay in touch with old friends all over the world and to develop new relationships online.
As Americans increasingly go online in search of relationships, scammers are following suit. According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), in 2022 almost 70,000 people reported being victims of a romance scam.
People aged 40 to 69 are the most likely to report losing money due to a romance scam, and people 70 and older reported the highest individual median losses at $9,475, according to the FTC.
Read On The Fox News App
Blackburn said that the bipartisan legislation would put "critical safeguards" in place to protect app users. The senator highlighted that in 2023, Tennesseans over the age of 60 lost $43 million due to scams targeting the elderly.
"Scammers are merciless in their exploitation of senior citizens who join dating apps to establish meaningful connections but instead end up losing their life savings to con artists who prey on their vulnerabilities," she said.
The bill requires online dating service providers to notify members if they've communicated with someone whose account has been banned for fraudulent activity. The notification must include the banned member's profile details and a warning that the banned member might be attempting fraud, such as requesting money.
How To Not Fall In Love With Ai-powered Romance Scammers
The bill is enforceable by the FTC and allows state attorneys general to bring civil actions on behalf of affected residents. It also ensures that no state law can interfere with the process of fraud ban notifications.
"This bipartisan, bicameral bill provides transparency, empowers users to make informed decisions, and reinforces best practices to prevent online scams," Valadao said. "I’m proud to help lead the effort to make online dating safer and protect Americans of all ages from financial fraud."
One such scam was recently uncovered by Las Vegas authorities in February. The Romance Scam Prevention Act would guard citizens from suspects like 43-year-old Aurora Phelps.
"Phelps would meet older men on dating websites or services, then meet them in-person. It was part of her scheme to drug the older men to gain unauthorized access to and steal money from their financial accounts to personally benefit herself and her family members," prosecutors said.
Phelps was charged with 21 counts, including seven counts of wire fraud; three counts of mail fraud; six counts of bank fraud; three counts of identity theft; one count of kidnapping; and one count of kidnapping resulting in death, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Nevada said in a statement.
If convicted on all counts, Phelps, who was taken into custody in Mexico, could face a maximum of life in prison.
Though she's only charged in one death, an indictment said that at least two men she met and scammed died.
In romance scams, a criminal uses a fake online identity to gain a victim's affection and trust. The scammer then uses the illusion of a romantic or close relationship to manipulate and/or steal from the victim.
The rise of romance scams led U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to provide practical tips for people to avoid being taken advantage of.
Be suspicious of unsolicited phone calls and text messages. Don’t answer calls or texts from any unknown numbers. Never give out personal information over the phone or text.
Limit what you share online. Scammers can use details shared on social media and dating sites to better understand and target you to form a connection and take advantage of what is going on in your life.
Go slowly and ask questions. Creating a false sense of urgency is a fundamental tactic of social engineering. Don’t let the individual rush you to make a decision. Be wary of sending money, bank account information, personal photos or other sensitive personal information to someone you’ve never met in person.
Keep it on the platform. Many times, scammers will push to move the conversation off the dating or social platform. Generally, they request to text or email. This is to avoid the detection controls in dating website chats.
Listen to your gut. If the individual seems too good to be true, talk to someone you trust about it.
Don’t send money or cryptocurrency. Never send money to anyone you have only communicated with online or by phone. If you meet someone on a dating site, app, or social media, and they want to show you how to invest in crypto, or ask you to send them cryptocurrency, it is a fraud.

Are You 18 or Older? Master These Essential Skills for Success in Life
Tumblr media
Turning 18 is a milestone—it marks the transition from childhood to adulthood, where responsibilities take center stage. But here’s the reality: the world doesn’t owe you success. If you want to thrive, you must take control of your own growth by developing career development skills that set you apart. Mastering these essential skills for success in life will give you a competitive edge in any field.
In today’s fast-paced world, academic achievements alone are not enough. Companies and entrepreneurs are looking for individuals who possess must-have skills for job seekers, including marketing skills for beginners, sales expertise, and strong communication abilities. Let’s explore three important skills for young adults that can shape your career and ensure long-term success.
1. Marketing – The Art of Selling Yourself
No matter how talented you are, if you cannot market yourself effectively, your skills will go unnoticed. Marketing skills for beginners are not just about selling products—they are about personal branding and presenting yourself in a way that attracts opportunities.
Think about it:
What do you do in a job interview? You sell yourself to the employer.
What happens when you create content on social media? You are building your personal brand.
Those who master the power of storytelling in marketing tend to create more impactful impressions.
How to Improve Your Marketing Skills:
✅ Read: This is Marketing by Seth Godin ✅ Take Free Courses: Search “Marketing Fundamentals” on Coursera or Udemy ✅ Practice Daily: Share valuable insights and stories on social media to strengthen your brand.
2. Sales – The Power to Influence and Persuade
Many assume that sales skills only apply to salespeople, but in reality, how to influence and persuade others is a critical life skill. Whether you are negotiating a salary, convincing clients, or even persuading friends, why sales skills are important cannot be overstated.
Why Sales is an Essential Skill for Success:
Job interviews: You need to sell yourself convincingly to potential employers.
Networking: Strong sales skills help you make valuable professional connections.
Entrepreneurship: If you run a business, you must understand how to master marketing and sales to attract customers.
How to Become More Persuasive in Sales:
✅ Read: The Psychology of Selling by Brian Tracy ✅ Practice Daily: Engage in conversations where you subtly try to convince others ✅ Learn Consumer Psychology: Understand what people want and position your ideas accordingly
3. English Speaking – The Key to Confidence and Growth
Want to become a confident speaker? Strong English speaking skills can set you apart in the workplace and open doors to global opportunities. Many multinational companies prioritize candidates with strong communication skills, making business communication skills improvement a game-changer.
Why English Speaking is a Must-Have Skill for Career Growth:
Job interviews: Being fluent in English makes you appear more professional.
Global market access: If you want to work internationally, you need strong English skills.
Personal growth: Access to online courses, books, and job interview tips and tricks becomes easier when you understand English well.
Best Ways to Improve English Speaking Skills:
✅ Use Learning Apps: Duolingo, BBC Learning English ✅ Watch English Movies: Start with subtitles, then gradually switch to watching without them ✅ Read English Newspapers: Editorial sections help expand vocabulary and critical thinking
Why These Skills Matter More Than Ever
The job market has evolved. Gone are the days when a degree alone was enough. Today, mastering top skills to learn for career growth—such as marketing, sales, and English speaking—is the key to standing out.
Employers and entrepreneurs value individuals who know how to sell themselves in an interview, communicate effectively, and adapt to dynamic challenges. The importance of soft skills in the workplace has never been greater.
Conclusion: Master the Essential Skills for Success
Mastering these essential skills for success in life is not an option—it’s a necessity. Whether you want to excel in your career, build strong connections, or become financially independent, the right skills will set you apart. By investing in marketing skills for beginners, developing sales expertise, and improving your English speaking skills, you position yourself for long-term success.
Start learning today. A year from now, you’ll be grateful you did.🚀 Don’t wait—take action now and shape your future!

Want to know how Woke activists take over buildings, smash windows, trash university campuses, and still have the press call them "non-violent"?
Well, as it turns out these are well trained activists using intelligent, highly developed tactics. Here's a primer:
Tumblr media
First off: none of this is spontaneous.
IE: The protestors in the video going around have shields. (pic 1)
In 2020 we learned these shields can take hours to make and are made by volunteers working all day. You don't do that spontaneously. It takes planning. (pics 2 +3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's a thread on the shields used during the 2020 Portland protests. They are well built and are distributed to those wishing to engage in "direct action" (AKA violence and vandalism).
Not all shields are built like this, but this is typical:
Tumblr media
Another clue that this is all VERY well planned is the fact they tend to all have the same tent.
This is because the organizations that run and fund the protests purchase the tents in bulk and then give them to the protestors as needed.
Again, It is all VERY well planned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Further, these are NOT "student protests."
Lisa Fithian is a 63 year old professional protestor, not a student. She's planned protests for decades.
According to the NYPD 1/3 of the people arrested at Columbia, and most of the people arrested at the CCNY, were not students
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now we need to understand the TACTICS that are being used here.
The first strategy is to put their target in a "decision dilemma." This is where they select a method of protest that leaves the person with no good options. No matter how the target reacts they look bad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As John Searle explained in his 1971 book "The Campus War," the strategy is to leave the University with no good options:
Tumblr media
They either let the protestors take over, or call police and then students play victim and use the optics to look like sympathetic martyrs for the cause.
The decision dilemma strategy is paired with: "the real action is your targets reaction." You use someone's reactions to your protest against them.
IE: Taking over a building. If the police arrest you, you film it and play the martyr. If they don't, you control the building
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those two strategies are used hand in hand to create actions which activists can turn to their advantage.
When they do this correctly they can paint themselves as the sympathetic powerless underdogs even when they are the aggressors.
It's social and political jiu-jitsu  This is performative, but not in "look good to your peers" kind of way.
The principle is "play to the audience that isn't there." Activists protesters want to LOOK good to the people on Youtube or watching the news.
It's the OPTICS that matter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please pay careful attention to this:
Activists want to LOOK like they are trying to change the minds of people they protest against, but that's just for show. They see their targets unrepentant evil doers that are just props in the drama they are staging.
This is awful.
Tumblr media
The point of the protest is not to change the mind of the people whose building they have taken over, the goal is to use the protest as a way of building social and political pressure against the people they are trying to make give it.
THAT is the goal.
This next strategy is self-explanatory: "do the media's work for them."
This is where activists find press releases and film footage that make them look good get into the hands of sympathetic journalists. This explains a lot of what gets on TV
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So how do they do all this and still get sympathetic coverage?
The strategy is: "lead with sympathetic characters." It's EXACTLY what it sounds like. They put sympathetic people out front to garner sympathy and create the APPEARANCE of underdogs fighting against the powerful.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is why in the coverage of these protests you rarely see the images of smashed glass, trashed buildings, broken doors, and blood on the street, but you will often see pictures of the people below which are meant to make the protestors look sympathetic.
Tumblr media
The protestors have a highly developed theory of protest optics. They understand videos can be sliced and diced to tell any story, and the story that "resonates" with people most, wins. So they are intentional in trying to create moments on video that can go viral...
That isn't to say they aren't also intentional in doing damage. They are. The book Black Bloc, White Riot: Anti-Globalization and the Genealogy of Dissent by author AK Thompson is the starting place for their theory of what counts as violence, and when violence is justified.
Here is Alex Hundert writing is rabble defending "a diversity of tactics" which is a euphemism for allowing violence at protests. Hundert explicitly states a commitment to non-violence is "dogmatic" and "stifles debate" about which tactics to use.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So the violence and vandalism at these protests is intentional. Where the elderly protestor is meant to win hearts, the black bloc is there to intimidate. If police react to the violence with arrests protestors claim the police "attacked students."
See how the game works?
The point is that none of these protests are happening spontaneously.
These are well planned protests, using high level tactics that are given to people supported by a well organized protest infrastructure (where did you think the tents and shields came from?)
These radical protestors have organized an infrastructure to, in their words, disrupt, dismantle, and deconstruct your society.
I don't want to scare any of you, I just want you to know what's happening because you can't push back against what you don't understand.
Every single one of these protests operates according to a set of methodologies, principles and tactics and theories that have been created with the specific goal of allowing the radicals to gain social and political victories by creating and controlling the narrative.
As @realchrisrufo points out, the conflict at Harvard is reaching a "decision point," but Harvard can't end the conflict without looking bad and damaging their own reputation.
This is the result of activist tactics applied perfectly against Harvard.
Tumblr media
Do not underestimate the ability of radical leftist protestors to win the narrative battle, particularly since we have a media complex sympathetic to leftist causes.
The goal here is not to scare you, but to show you what's going on under the hood of these protests....
Beating woke activists means understanding their tactics are so you can anticipate them and respond in a way that is effective. If universities had anticipated the Activist tactic "occupation" They would have known the goal was to put them in a "decision dillemma" (pic 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the activists will explicitly tell us that these occupations are "well planned" (that's why I keep using that phrase" and that they want to expose the "power holders" (in this case universities) inability to enforce the rules. That's literally the whole point...
Tumblr media
Had universities known this they would have understood that the right move is to eject the encampments the minute they start. There was not way to negotiate with the protestors because, as the activists themselves tell us, negotiating is not the point. The point is to create a situation where the University has no good option and expose the university as weak, and then use that to extract concessions and make the university fold because they have ZERO good options.
Knowing that this is the strategy allows you avoid the trap by taking the PR hit and ejecting the protestors and tearing down the encampments on day 1. You're taking a PR hit no matter what, so take the hit day 1 and then ride it out. The longer the protests last, the bigger a story they become, so end it quick and kill the momentum.
Instead universities did not know the tactics, thought they could reason with the protestors or negotiate in good faith, and now they are in exactly the bind that @realchrisrufo lays out here:
Tumblr media
Learn how the woke activists operate, learn how their tactics function, and learn how to respond accordingly when they seek to impose their will on you using these tactics.
Thanks for reading.

Honestly, this seems pretty freaking obvious. Hamas can't defeat Israel by firepower; the way they win is by fighting the propaganda war and manipulating the rest of the world into fighting against Israel instead.
Still, it doesn't matter how much you quote their own words, there's still certain people who will say right to you that it isn't true, it's not happening.
