Steve is pissed at Eddie.
Like, genuinely pissed.
Not that cute, haha my boyfriend was being annoying but I love him, pissed.
The kind where if he saw him right now, he’d do something really stupid, like yell or break up with him.
And he knew he didn’t actually want to do that.
But see, Steve had been given incorrect information about what they would be doing tonight. He’d been told they’d be having dinner alone and then going to the quarry alone and probably going back to Steve’s house alone.
When they showed up at the diner to a table full of Eddie’s bandmates, Steve’s teeth gritted together to hold back saying something much more rude than he intended.
It was fine, though, because Steve did actually like hanging out with the guys despite their rough start. They were some of the few people who knew about Steve and Eddie’s relationship, so they didn’t feel like they had to hide anything.
Well, Steve did tonight.
He was wearing his usual clothes, of course, but underneath, he was wearing a lingerie set. Something Eddie had been begging him to wear for months now, something Steve had tried on at least 20 times before only to hurry out of them because it felt too good. He figured with how much they’d be alone tonight, he could get used to the feeling of the lace against his skin at dinner and then surprise Eddie with it when they got to the quarry.
It’s all he’s thought about since Eddie picked him up.
He’s certain it’s written all over his face throughout dinner. Gareth keeps shooting him these looks like he knows Steve’s hiding something, and Jeff has asked him if he’s okay at least three times since they sat down. Frankie doesn’t say anything, but he does hand Steve a joint when no one else is looking and tells him to relax a little.
If Steve was smart, he probably would have snuck a few hits from it before Eddie got in the van.
“That was fun,” Eddie said as Steve contemplated trying to run back inside to the bathroom so he could strip the lace off and shove it into his pockets.
“Uh huh.”
“Sorry I didn’t tell you they’d be joining us, sweetheart.”
Steve gives him a half-hearted smile. “That’s okay. Um, are we seeing anyone else tonight?”
“Oh! There’s a bunch of people hanging at the quarry. I think even Robin’s gonna be there.”
Steve nods a little too enthusiastically to be convincing. “Cool. Sounds good.”
Eddie’s eyes are on him, intense. “You don’t sound happy about it. Thought you’d be a little more excited about hanging with Robin. You just told me yesterday you haven’t gotten to spend time with her outside of work for weeks.”
“No, you’re right,” Steve sighs. “I just wasn’t expecting to be…social.”
“We planned a date?” Eddie sounds genuinely confused, as if he doesn’t know the difference between hanging out one on one and in groups.
“Yeah, I just.” Steve sighs again. “It’s fine. Let’s go hang out with people.”
Eddie looks like he wants to push and understand why Steve is suddenly so worried about being around people, but Steve leans in to kiss him quickly, just a soft peck on the lips. He smiles and Eddie smiles back.
Instant distraction.
Eddie has admitted before that Steve has a way of making him go completely dumb. Some would call it dick brain, but it’s not even that he gets hard about it. He just feels like all thoughts have left the building.
Like Elvis, man,, he’d said when Robin asked what his deal was after Steve had kissed him goodbye at work.
As Eddie drives them to the quarry, Steve shifts in his seat. He’s not uncomfortable, but he definitely worries that he will be when all eyes are on him. Maybe they won’t know that he’s nearly bursting out of blush pink panties and a matching bralette that rubs against his nipples in a way that feels like Eddie’s teeth when they’re teasing him. But maybe they will.
But are his nerves because he’s worried people will know?
He can feel his dick hardening against the damp lace.
No, he doesn’t think he’s all that worried about people seeing him in lingerie.
Eddie’s door slamming is the only thing that alerts him to their arrival. He blinks and opens his door so he can hop out, but he’s immediately frozen when he feels the head of his dick rubbing against his jeans.
So maybe next time he can buy a size up. Or find some made for men. Do they make them for men?
“Stevie?” Eddie’s voice is against his ear, sending chills down his spine as his hand ghosts between his shirt and waistband. “You sure you don’t wanna go home?”
“I’m sure,” Steve shivers.
“We won’t stay for long,” he promises.
Steve just nods.
He does what he’s supposed to at these things: makes smalltalk with people he doesn’t know that well, hangs around Eddie and Robin as much as possible, smiles and laughs when appropriate.
But his brain is gone.
Well, it’s there, but it’s made of lace and the sweat beading at his brow despite the fall chill.
He doesn’t know how long they’ve been here, but he thinks he’s gonna have to go soon.
Eddie’s fingers grasp his forearm.
“Steve.”
Steve looks at him.
Eddie knows.
His face is flush and his pupils are huge, looks like he would bite a bruise into Steve’s neck right now, in front of all these people.
“Van. Now.”
The van is surrounded by cars. Empty cars, but still cars that belong to people.
Steve should probably just explain what’s going on, and then maybe they could just go back to Steve’s house and never bring this up ever again.
But he doesn’t. He knows they’re about to fuck in Eddie’s van, and he knows everyone at this gathering is busy, and he thinks maybe this will be the night that someone finds out exactly what Steve and Eddie are to each other.
Eddie doesn’t let go of his arm as they walk, which puts them both at a strange angle. No one seems to notice, but Steve’s not sure he’d be aware of anyone looking their way at this point. His brain is fuzzy, and all he can think about is Eddie stripping him down to the lace barely covering him in the back of his van.
No one is near the cars when Eddie opens the backdoor of his van and gently nudges Steve inside. No one is there to see the way Eddie watches him fall face first on the blanket he keeps laid out, barely holding back a groan at the way Steve’s ass is up in the air, taunting him even while fully clothed. No one except Steve feels his heartbeat racing as Eddie closes the door and grips his calf.
“You’ve been on edge all night. I was starting to worry you were sick or I’d pissed you off, but it’s not either of those things, is it?” Eddie leans over Steve’s back, bracketing him in until he has no choice but to fall flat against the blanket. “You wanna be fucked.”
Steve whines.
“But why? You knew we’d go to your house later. You knew I’d take care of you. So why are you acting like this?” Eddie continues, breath hot against Steve’s neck.
His hand ghosts under Steve’s shirt, fingers trailing against his skin and leaving goosebumps along the way.
Steve’s breath catches when he feels Eddie’s touch pause against the line of lace across his back.
“Stevie. What’s this?” Eddie sounds much calmer than he probably is.
“It’s a…bra. It’s a bra.”
Eddie’s forehead falls to Steve’s shoulder blade, and he lets out a huff. It may be a laugh or it may be a sigh, or it may be anything else.
“I don’t know what the hell I did to deserve you, sweetheart.”
His lips are soft against Steve’s neck.
Steve melts further into the blanket, but can’t completely relax until Eddie’s seen– or felt– everything.
“Um, there’s more,” he says as he starts to turn over so he can face Eddie. “And it might be a little weird and it might not even look good anymore because I’ve been hard for most of the night, but-”
Eddie silences him with a kiss to his lips, the taste of the last cigarette he smoked still on his tongue.
He keeps kissing him, even when Steve moans and bucks his hips up, seeking friction that’s easily found. His hand traces the waistband of Steve’s jeans, a fingertip dipping just past the denim to find what Steve’s been hiding.
“Oh.”
Steve smiles nervously. He knows Eddie would never make him feel bad, even if he didn’t happen to like the lingerie, but he’s still nervous. He still wants Eddie to like it, to like the way he fills them out, to like him.
“Can I see?” Eddie asks, eyes wide with awe and cheeks blushing the same pink as Steve’s panties.
Steve nods because he doesn’t think he’ll sound confident if he says anything out loud.
Eddie slides his pants off quickly, but his hands are gentle, almost reverent in the way they glide across Steve’s thighs.
He doesn’t say anything, just gestures for Steve to sit up so he can pull off his shirt.
When Steve’s been stripped down to only pink lace, he’s warm and anxious.
Eddie’s eyes don’t know where to go, zipping from his nipples barely visible through the thick floral pattern covering them down to the see-through wetness of his cock leaking through the thin material. Steve waits for him to say something, can’t interrupt whatever thoughts he’s having right now.
“You look beautiful, Stevie.”
It settles something in him, some last nerves that he knew wouldn’t go away without Eddie’s confirmation that this wasn’t a waste of time or money.
“I do?”
Eddie’s palm cups his cock through the panties. “You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. When did you get these?”
Steve shrugs because he doesn’t really remember anymore, and even if he did, it’s not important. What matters is that Eddie fucks him while he wears them, and that he goes to buy more on his next trip into the city.
It’s softer than Steve expected.
Eddie’s taking it slow, touching him everywhere, letting his fingers trace the patterns of the lace and smiling when Steve shivers under his attention. He seems mesmerized and Steve feels adored, loved.
Usually, Steve prefers feeling Eddie’s skin against his, but the way his clothed cock brushes against the lace panties, and the way his chest rubs against the bra, it’s a constant reminder that Steve did this to feel nice and for Eddie to look at him.
“Fuck me,” Steve whispers against his lips when he feels his stomach tighten. “Please fuck me.”
“Here? You sure you don’t want me to just suck you off?”
Steve thinks about the people crowded near the coolers and picnic tables not too far away.
“Yeah, here. I need you.”
He knows Eddie can’t resist that.
Now, Eddie’s quick, but no less gentle, as he opens Steve up on his fingers. The lube he keeps in the van is finally getting some use.
Steve arches into it, sighing out the pleasure Eddie gives, keeping as quiet as possible in case someone decides to come back to their car before they finish.
He’s got panties pushed to the side, his precum dribbling onto his stomach, and Eddie’s raspy voice in his ear telling him everything he’s gonna do to him when they’re home. Steve can get off with just this, has gotten off to this before.
“You ready?” Eddie finally asks him, pulling his fingers out so he can wipe them off and get his own pants pulled down.
“Been ready. Could’ve fucked me ten minutes ago,” Steve replies with a smirk.
His head is fuzzy, but the knowledge that they could be caught keeps him present, keeps him aware of everything happening in a way he knows he wouldn’t be if they were in the privacy of his room.
“I don’t like your tone,” Eddie jokes as he lines himself up, pushing the lace further out of the way. “I don’t wanna hurt you. You’re too soft for that tonight.”
“Someone’s feeling sappy,” Steve gasps as Eddie enters him slowly. He lifts his head to watch as Eddie bottoms out, his cock rubbing against the side of the panties. “Fuck.”
“That’s what I’m trying to do.” Eddie groans. “You feel so good. You look so good. I wanna eat you out when we get home.”
Steve nods as his hands grip the blankets. “Yeah. I have a-” Steve whines as Eddie shifts slightly, changing the angle so he brushes against Steve’s prostate. “I have a plug.”
“How the hell did you sneak that in here?”
“Yesterday when you were in the shower,” Steve laughs breathlessly. “Fuck, Eds. So good.”
Eddie is focused now, on not coming or coming, Steve can’t be sure.
“God, you have to wear these all the time,” Eddie groans as his hand creeps up to his chest, thumb rubbing against one of Steve’s nipples. “I want you in every color. Wanna see you in red, and blue, and black, and fuckin’-- what other colors are there?”
Steve giggles. “Purple…yellow…fuck.”
Steve’s gonna come and Eddie’s gonna follow right behind him, he can tell. Eddie’s thrusts are erratic but accurate, always hitting the spot that makes black spots appear in the corner of Steve’s vision and his limbs tingle with warmth and sunshine.
“You’re so good to me, fuck, Stevie. I love you,” Eddie squeezes his thigh as he parts his legs further. “You’re mine.”
“Yours. Yours,” Steve’s head falls back as he shakes through one of the most intense orgasms he’s ever had. He can’t catch his breath, and he feels overstimulated within seconds. “Eddie, need you.”
Eddie always gives him what he needs.
They’re both coming down still when someone bangs on the back door of the van. Steve sits up so quickly, he almost breaks Eddie’s nose.
“Yeah!” Steve yells, pushing Eddie off of him, barely containing a whimper when his cock is no longer filling him.
“If you two wanna get dressed before people start heading to their cars, now would be a good time!” Robin whisper-yells against the door.
“Got it!” Steve yells back, already trying to slide his pants back on despite the mess on his stomach and dripping from his hole.
Eddie places his hands on Steve’s, making him pause for a moment.
“Did you do this for me or for you?” He asks, suddenly shy.
Steve couldn’t help feeling a little proud of the fact that he was maybe the only person Eddie Munson ever got shy around.
“I did it for both of us. And I promise I’ll do it again if you let me get dressed so we don’t get caught.”
Eddie beams at him, kisses his cheek, and starts to pull his own pants back up, wincing when his boxers cling to his sensitive and wet dick.
“We’ve gotta plan better for these things,” he complains.
“I planned just fine.”
“The plug!” Eddie’s eyes widen in panic. “Where is it?”
“We don’t have time,” Steve groans, but he looks over his shoulder at the bag he keeps behind the passenger seat. It’s mostly full of snacks and Tylenol, sometimes a change of clothes if he knows he’s staying with Eddie. Last night he managed to get a plug in there. “Okay! Okay, fine. Just, go start the car.”
Eddie claps his hands together excitedly and grins. “As you wish, my liege.”
Steve rolls his eyes fondly. He reaches down to ease the plug in, biting back a whimper at the soreness he feels. They weren’t even rough tonight, couldn’t be, yet Steve feels like they just went for three rounds.
“If it hurts, don’t do it, sweetheart,” Eddie says from the driver’s seat.
“No, it’s good. I’m good,” he says as he pulls his pants up and slips his shirt on.
Eddie glances over his shoulder and frowns.
“Why the face?” Steve asks.
“I can’t see the lace.”
“Eddie…”
“I know! But I’m speeding on the way home.”
Steve slides into the passenger seat and looks out the window to make sure no one is directly next to them. When he doesn’t see anyone except Robin walking back towards the party, he leans over to kiss Eddie’s cheek.
“Thank you for letting me try something new.”
Eddie blinks over at him. “Thank me? Thank you. Holy shit, Steve. You’ve never been hotter than you are right now.”
“Okay, okay. Drive us home so I can ride you.”
“Fuck. Okay.” Eddie puts both hands on the steering wheel. “Focus, Eddie.”
“You’re such a dork,” Steve laughs.
“I’m living my dream right now.”
Steve can’t agree more.

Currently going insane thinking of The Amazing Digital Circus and the absolute HORROR of that fucking premise Like the fact the cast knows they are not in their bodies and all it's already fucking scary, but also they can't remember what they looked like or their names is fucking horrifying
Like sure the part of not being in their bodies and having the crazy ass dysphoria is horrifying to me because- well, DID systems aren't a one person thing and in our case no one looks nor feels like the body is theirs so fuck us I guess
BUT never mind that, like being put on a body that is not yours that shit is already wild, but THEN forgetting what you looked like?? Holy shit that is a nightmare scenario, like props to Goose for making such a silly yet fucking nightmarish shit, that gotta be the worse place to Isekai'd fr

Sept Stobin Extravaganza Day 12: Codependent
Rated T | @sept-stobin-extravaganza | 2,183 Words (it's a long'un) | A lot of this story is inspired by this post and some of it's comments/reblogs/etc
The kids hadn’t noticed how close Steve and Robin were at first after Starcourt. Sure, the two were glued together constantly, but Dustin was fairly certain they were dating, and couples spent a lot of time together, right?
And he thought he was being proven correct in his assumptions about their relationship status when he headed over to Steve’s one Saturday in October. He didn’t bother knocking on the front door, just headed straight inside. “Steve?” he called out.
He didn’t hear a response, but he had seen the BMW in the driveway, so he took a look around. The ground floor was empty, and he didn’t see Steve in the backyard, so he headed upstairs. Once he reached the landing, he heard water running from the direction of Steve’s bedroom and ensuite. Honestly, maybe Dustin should have knocked or waited for Steve to come out, but he and his friends didn’t have a lot of boundaries, and also, Steve was like his big brother, so he didn’t think before opening the bathroom door a little (he didn’t look! He knew better than that!) and calling in.
“Steve! I need a ride! Hurry up your shower!” Dustin said.
The voice he heard back was… decidedly not Steve. “What the hell, mini-dingus?” Robin’s voice replied. He heard the curtain rustle, so he peeked his head around the door and met her eyes.
Her hair was all soapy, and she had the most disgruntled look on her face.
“I’m sorry!” he yelped.
Steve’s head popped up over top Robin’s in the gap. “Dude, just go wait in the living room. I’ll be down in, like, twenty, and I can give you a ride then.”
Dustin nodded frantically and hurried out of the room and downstairs.
He waited twenty-two minutes exactly (he kept checking his watch) while wearing a hole in the living room rug before Steve came downstairs, dried and dressed, followed closely behind by Robin.
“I thought you weren’t dating!” Dustin accused them.
Steve had the audacity to look fed up with Dustin. “We’re not.”
Dustin sputtered for a second before saying, “Then what were you doing showering together?”
Both of them just shrugged and didn’t answer his question. And they kept not, for the entire ride to the arcade, where he met up with the others.
Of course, when Dustin told the rest of the Party, none of them took it as seriously as he thought they should.
“So what?” Lucas said. “They’re dating but saying they’re not. What’s it matter?”
“What’s it matter?!” Dustin said, flabbergasted.
Of course, they didn’t realize that wasn’t the end of Steve and Robin being a lot. There were all sorts of things that they started to notice that indicated something more.
Like, one day Mike went into the Family Video to rent a movie to watch that weekend, which wasn’t out of the ordinary. However, when he went to check out, he saw Robin was wearing Steve’s name-tag. He didn’t say anything about it to her, but a couple days later, Dustin brought it up at lunch.
“I went to get a movie after school yesterday, and I get there, and Steve’s wearing Robin’s name-tag!” he told them.
“Yeah, I saw Robin wearing his name-tag on Saturday,” Mike replied.
“Really?” Dustin asked. “I asked Steve why, and he said Robin was sick. Like, I get it; he’s covering her shift or whatever, but why is he wearing her name-tag?”
“Was Steve sick on Saturday?” Lucas asked, thoughtfully.
Dustin thought it over for a minute. “I think so? When I called his house, Robin answered the phone and said something about him having a stomach bug.”
“Hm,” was all Lucas said in response.
Another time, when Lucas called Steve’s house, Robin was the one to answer again.
“Hey, Robin,” he said. “I was calling to ask Steve a question.”
She didn’t even pause before saying, “Sure, what’s up?”
“Um… Well, I wanted to know if he’d help me practice for basketball tryouts, but if he’s not free, I can call back.”
Robin hummed in thought for a moment. “He’ll be by to pick up up on Saturday just after lunch. Like 2-ish. Does that work for you?”
“I… guess?” he told her. “Are you sure that’s fine with him?”
“Yep!” she said, popping the P.
The two sat in awkward silence for a few moments too long. “Okay, bye,” he said quickly and hung up the phone.
Well, Steve showed up at 2PM on the dot Saturday, so Lucas just rolled with it. His mom agreed to stuff for his dad all the time, so this must’ve just been like that.
Now, Max wasn’t around Steve and Robin as much as the boys so she hadn’t been having as many weird experiences as they were, but she definitely had one that stuck out so much that she broke her month-long avoidance to tell them.
It happened when she’d been about to skate home from school and she passed Steve’s car in the parking lot. He raised one hand to her as she approached, Robin at his side.
Max just gave him a tight smile, so Steve let her be and turned back to Robin.
But when he did, Robin just opened her mouth, and he reached in and pulled out her gum and stuck it in his own mouth. What the actual fuck?
Max just straight-up stopped and did a one-hundred-eighty-degree turn and headed back to the entrance of the school where she waited for the boys to come out.
“Max!” Dustin cheered upon seeing her. “What’s up?”
“Have they been super weird around you guys too?” she asked them.
“Who?” Mike asked, brows furrowed.
“Steve and Robin.”
Lucas looked at her carefully. “What’d they do now?”
She paused before telling him. “I just saw Steve pull gum out of Robin’s mouth and put it in his own to chew.”
All three boys chorused, “Ew!”
“Why?” Dustin cried out.
Lucas told her, “We’ve been keeping track. They’ve been insanely weird lately. Dustin thought they were just dating, but this goes way beyond that.”
“Yeah,” Mike chimed in. “Like, we’re not sure if it’s a new thing or if they’ve been like this the whole time, and we just didn’t notice.”
Max hummed, “Hm. Keep me looped in. I wanna know what’s up too.”
Lucas gave her a bright smile. “Sure!”
And the boys did. Every couple days, Max joined them at lunch to compare notes of whatever weirdness Steve and Robin had gotten up to lately. Most of the discoveries were from Dustin, who saw Steve way more than the rest of them, but they all had something. So far, they’d discovered that the two would only ever eat sharing a plate, Robin seemingly never left Steve’s house, and they apparently shared a toothbrush (they all found that one even nastier than the gum thing). One time, Dustin even got traumatized walking in on Steve shirtless with Robin popping a huge pimple on his back.
A few weeks after the gum incident, the four kids were gathered in Steve’s living room for a movie night. It’d been a while since they’d all hung out together outside of school, and technically they still weren’t. The absence of two of their Party members was sorely felt.
Out of the corner of his eye, Dustin saw Steve watch them mope for a few minutes before taking a deep breath and suggesting, “Okay, you know what, why don’t you guys call Will? I’m sure he misses you.”
“Really?” Mike asked, incredulously.
“Yes, really, Mike. It’s not like I pay the phone bill. I’m sure my parents can afford the long distance charge,” he informed the boys.
Then it was a scramble as the three hurried to the phone. Max hung back, though.
“Don’t want to talk to Will?” Robin asked her.
“No,” she told her. “If I could, I’d talk to El, but you know she can’t come on the phone.”
Robin sighed. “Yeah. That sucks, kiddo. Want to get your nails painted while we wait? I did ours earlier.” She patted the cushion next where they were practically glued together on the couch.
Max thought about it for a moment before nodding. “Sure,” she agreed and sat on the couch. “Wait.” She went back over what Robin said. “Our nails?”
“Oh yeah!” Steve said cheerfully. “Robs painted our toes earlier.” He wiggled them on the rug, and they were indeed painted; they were even in the same shade as Robin’s toes.
“Yeah! We don’t like polish on our hands, so toes only!” she said. “But I can paint your fingers.”
“… Okay.” Max picked a color from the bag Steve offered her and sat patiently while Robin painted, Steve holding the bottle for her.
When Robin had finished the first coat, she capped the bottle and said to Max, “I need to take a pee break! Let that dry, and we’ll finish it when we get back.”
Max raised an eyebrow at her. “Where’s Steve going?” she asked, since Steve got up too.
“… The bathroom?” he said, confused.
“Together?” Max asked them.
Robin just shrugged, and the two headed into the guest bathroom off the living room.
Whatever. If the two wanted to sneak off to make-out and lie very obviously about it, she wasn’t going to say anything.
Eventually, after her second coat was dried and the three of them had started watching TV, the boys came out of the kitchen, finished with their call to Will.
“How’s baby Byers?” Steve asked.
The boys told him all about what was going on in Will’s life, while Steve and Robin just nodded along and listened.
“Cool,” Robin said when they were all done. “Sounds like you had a good chat.”
“Mhm,” Steve added. “Now, what do you all want for dinner?”
All four of them looked at each other before saying in unison, “Pizza!”
Of course, getting all of them to agree on pizza toppings was a nightmare. It took almost 30 minutes of haggling with Steve over what he was willing to pay for. Mike only wanted pepperoni, Lucas didn’t really care but didn’t want too many ‘wet’ toppings, and Max wanted anything but pepperoni to be contrary to Mike.
“I want supreme,” Dustin told him.
“Okay, but no mushrooms. We’re allergic,” Steve told him.
Dustin stared at him for almost a full minute before saying slowly, “You’re not allergic to mushrooms, Steve. I’ve seen you eat them at my house before.”
“Well, Robin’s allergic,” he said matter-of-factly with his hands on his hips. “So no mushrooms.”
“Robin can just have a different pizza, Steve! The mushrooms are important to the balance of the supreme pizza. Without them, both the taste and texture are altered.”
Steve pinched the bridge of his nose. “It’s either no mushrooms or no supreme pizza, Henderson. You’re the only one who wanted it, and I’m not about to order a specialty pizza just for you.”
“But-!”
“Nuh-uh. Those are your two options,” he said firmly.
Dustin rolled his eyes so hard they almost rolled out of his head. “Fine. No mushrooms. God!”
When he stomped back over to the Party, he complained to them about what just happened.
“So because Robin can’t eat mushrooms, he can’t either?” Max asked.
The four looked over to where the two were standing at the landline, Steve dialing to order the pizza.
“Maybe it’s a serious enough allergy that they can’t kiss if he’s eaten any?” Lucas suggested.
“Maybe,” Dustin conceded. “But you know, I’ve never seen them kiss… Like even once.”
The rest of the group thought over all the past interactions they’ve observed and agreed.
“They might not like PDA,” Mike said.
Max chimed in, “Maybe they’re really not dating. Maybe they’re just weird.”
“They were showering together,” Dustin said to her.
“True…” she conceded. “And I saw them go to the bathroom together earlier tonight. Pretty sure that was to have a secret make-out session,” Max added.
“Really?” Lucas asked her.
“Mhm.”
“They’re like my grandparents,” Lucas said to them all.
Mike frowned. “What do you mean?”
“Like, they’re so in-tune, as if they’d been together forever. But then sometimes they’re so weird it’s not like my grandparents at all,” he explained.
“Like with the name-tags thing?” Dustin asked.
“Yeah!”
“Who even knows with those two,” Max said. “Maybe they’re just trauma-bonded or whatever. And it messed them up along the way.”
“No way!” Dustin insisted. “Steve’s not like that.”
“Gum, Dustin,” she said. “I saw him pull it right out of her mouth.”
“Ew, yeah. Maybe you’re right.”
Mike added, “Too bad El’s not here. She’d be able to figure out whatever was going on.”
The group saw as Robin poked Steve in the chest as he was hanging up the phone, and Steve said, “That was right in the nipple!” and clutched his chest.
“Score!” she cheered, laughing. He started chuckling too, leaning in and resting his head on her shoulder.
“Yeah,” Max agreed. “They’re too weird to figure out without superpowers.”

Hiii can I request a Steve Harrington x male reader where the reader is the new kid at school and is kinda a rebel but in a fun way, (personality wise the reader is fun-loving, witty and a bit of a rebel), and Steve sorta crushes on him because he thinks he’s the first exciting to happen at Hawkins High. The reader actually starts crushing him back hard and becomes best friends w/ Robin. Maybe they get together at the end, this could take place around season 3
Hawkin’s New Boy - Steve Harrington x Male!Reader
Thank you for your request! Honestly I wish I could have ended this a bit better, hope you enjoy it though! (Also it isn’t proof read so I apologize for any mistakes)
Ciswomen/fem aligned DNI, this isn’t for you!
Word count: 2.8k
You walked down the hall trying to look for your next class. Luckily the hallway was almost completely empty due to the fact that you had gotten completely lost in the new school, but at the same time it would make randomly walking into your physics class really awkward.
After another minute of roaming the silent halls you finally found your class. You took a deep breath before entering the classroom. ‘This was the last class of the day, just one more time do I have to introduce myself’ you kept repeating in your head as you entered the room. As expected, the room fell silent and all eyes were on you. The teacher greeted you with a smile. “We have a new student joining us today,” she said. You took that as your que to introduce yourself. You stated your name and where you moved from, hoping that unlike last period, this teacher wouldn’t make you stand up in front of the class answering random questions that other students had for the next five minutes.
The teacher grabbed a packet of paper from her desk and handed it to you. “You can go sit next to Robin Buckley,” she said. You scanned the classroom for an open seat but unfortunately you found more than one seat so you weren’t quite sure where to sit. “Oh!” the teacher gasped, realizing her mistake. “Robin, can you please raise your hand?” she asked.
You saw a girl with decently short hair raise her hand. You walked over to the open desk that was just to the left of her and took a seat. “Great! Now we can continue,” the teacher said. She took a quick glance at her lesson plans before continuing with the rest of class.
You grabbed your new papers and shoved it all into your backpack as the bell rang. “Hey,” you heard someone say. You didn’t look up, assuming someone was trying to get someone else’s attention. However you were proven wrong when you heard your name being called. You looked up to see Robin staring down at you. “That’s your name right? You’re giving me a weird look,” She questioned. “Yeah, that’s my name. Why?” you asked, you couldn’t think of a reason for her to try to talk to you. “I was told that you’re going to be my new lab partner for the rest of the school year. I just wanted you to know so you were confused for our lab next week,” she said. You gave her a small smile, appreciating her kindness, “Oh okay, thanks for letting me know,” you replied as you grabbed your backpack from off of the floor and swung it over your shoulder. Robin nodded before exiting the classroom, the two of you parted ways.
Tumblr media
The next day of school went a lot more smoothly. Even though you were still pretty lost in your class material, you were able to at least find your classes on time for the most part. However then came lunch where you felt completely lost again. You scanned the room for Robin, the only person who actually talked to you yesterday, however after being shoved and being told to move a few times by some other kids since you were standing in the middle of the cafeteria, you just decided to sit down at a random table.
The table seemed empty enough so you hoped that no one would really care that you were sitting there. Even if they did care, it was their problem, not yours. You reached into your bag and grabbed your Walkman and a random mixtape and put your headphones over your ears.
“I said, what the hell are you doing here!?” someone shouted from behind you. You took off your headphones quickly to see a jock towering over you. “What?” you questioned. “This is my seat,” he said in a stern voice. You only laughed, “and what is your name?” you asked. “Billy Hargrove.” You scanned up and down the lunch table to see more white jocks sitting at the table looking a little pissed off. “Yeah… I don’t really see your name anywhere on this table sweetheart,” you said in a lighthearted tone. You snickered as you saw Billy’s face turn bright red in either embarrassment or anger. However you took that as a sign to collect your stuff quickly and run away.
“This is not over, you hear me you little shit?!” Billy yelled, chasing you down the hallway. Even though you didn’t know the hallways very well you just figured that as long as you kept taking random turns you’d be fine. “I can’t believe this school let a queer in.” you heard Billy grumble behind you. “What if I am actually gay, what are you gonna do about it?” you asked. Starting rumors about you being gay in a small town in Indiana definitely wasn’t the best idea, however Billy’s disgusted look on his face made it pretty worth it. You laughed as you continued to run, however you were losing speed as you were getting tired and Billy was catching up to you. Now slightly panicked, you tried to run faster but your lungs and legs were betraying you. Soon enough you were pretty sure you could walk at a faster speed then you were running. Billy quickly ran towards you, finally catching up. He grabbed both your shoulders and slammed you into the lockers. “Are we going to make out?” you teased. Billy gave you a glare that seemed to have a murderous look to it.
“Hargove!” Both you and Billy freeze to see your gym teacher standing down the hall. “What the hell son, let him go.” The teacher said sternly. After scowling, Billy took his hands off of your shoulders and stepped away from you. “Detention for both of you!” the teacher yelled. “Sir- he was trying to harm me, I was just trying to not get hurt,” you said innocently like you hadn’t just provoked Billy on purpose. The PE teacher took a moment to think. “You’ll be excused. But this is the last time I’m ever going to see you running down these halls. If you’re being threatened you need to go get an adult,” the teacher said sternly. He still looked disappointed. “Mr. Hargrove, follow me.” the PE teacher said, turning around and walking off, expecting the teenager to follow him. Billy gave one last glance at you and you happily flipped him off before walking in the opposite direction to the lunch room.
As you entered the big cafeteria your eyes immediately landed on Robin. You were quite relieved that you didn’t have to go and deal with someone else being pissed because you were sitting at their table. Robin instantly made room for you once she saw you walking over to her. “Guys, this is my new friend. He just moved here,” Robin introduced you to her other band friends. You greeted them with a smile and then talked with them for the rest of lunch. You guys all got along well which was a relief.
Tumblr media
“Robin, who the hell was the guy who Hargrove was chasing yesterday?” Steve asked. His co-worker gave him your name. “Oh he’s also in my physics class,” she replied. Robin was cleaning ice cream scoopers while Steve was unflipping chairs that were stacked on top of the tables from closing last night. Scoops hadn’t opened quite yet. It was still decently early in the morning and the manager said that they shouldn’t open until 11 when people actually want ice cream. “He’s an interesting guy,” Steve huffed out. “Yeah I guess you could say that. I mean how many people do you know that would tease Billy Hargrove?” Robin asked. Steve couldn’t think of anyone else besides you. He watched you as you stood up for yourself, even though it was for something really simple, he found it fascinating how you kept teasing Billy.
It’s been a few hours since the parlor opened but Steve just couldn’t get you off of his mind. The way that you just didn’t care made you so interesting. He lived with his parent’s high expectations all his life, and then when he became the King of Hawkins High it felt like everyone was constantly watching him. However even when everyone else was watching you, it was like you could still be yourself. It didn’t seem to matter to you what people thought, you just did what you wanted to do. Steve admired that.
“Is this bell just decoration?” someone asked. Steve jumped at the voice. He completely forgot he was still at work. “I’m sorry sir what-” Steve’s face reddened when he saw it was you at the counter. He felt embarrassed like you had known that he’s been thinking of you all day. “Can I get you…” he finally continued. You chuckled, “Whatever you recommend,” you told him.
After that day you had gotten closer with Robin and would come to Scoops more often. When the teen’s manager wasn’t there watching them (which was almost never anyways) you’d sit behind the counter and talk to Robin while she worked. When Robin was on break the two of you would go explore the mall. The place was huge and was always packed, but you could understand why.
Robin called your name to grab your attention. “I’m going home now, Steve is gonna be staying here for the rest of the night. I have a huge test to study for” she explained as she was putting on her bike helmet. “Sounds good Rob, I’ll see you tomorrow then,” you told her as she walked out of Scoops.
“Well looks like it’s just me and you pretty boy,” you told Steve. You chuckled when you saw his face flush a bright pink color. Steve just stayed silent which made you worried that you had just made him uncomfortable. It’s not that Steve was uncomfortable, however it didn’t help his growing crush on you. As much as Steve would like to say that you were actually flirting with him, he just figured it was something you just did to make anyone embarrassed as you called Billy Hargrove several pet names anytime you saw him. He remembered the first time he ever saw you, it was in the cafeteria when you were running away from Billy. He couldn’t believe that several months have passed since then.
“Did I make you uncomfortable, Steve?” You asked genuinely due to his silence. “No, no it’s not that.” Steve replied. He wasn’t looking at you. Instead he was cleaning off counters to keep himself busy. “Do you… want to talk about it?” You asked Steve. Steve shook her head “No I’m good,” he simply replied,
The two of you could both feel the awkward tension. “Y’know, we’re closing soon and I gotta clean up. You should get going…” Steve said quietly but you were still able to hear it. “Yeah…” you replied in the same hushed voice. You looked at Steve but his back was still turned to face you. His body looked all tense, you couldn’t tell if he was annoyed, upset, or uncomfortable. But you figure it was one of those. “I’ll see you at school…” you said slowly while standing up from your seat. “Yeah. Sounds good.” Steve simply replied in one breath. He moved so his back was still facing you as you got up and left.
Steve couldn’t risk you seeing his bright red face. He felt terrible for making it extremely awkward. He didn’t know if you were genuinely flirting with him, if you were then he wanted to return those feelings. However he still recognized that you call Billy strange names like “love, babe, or even baby girl” if you’re really looking for a fight. Taking the safe route Steve decided to not flirt back with you in any way even though he wished he could. It was most likely just your personality he kept telling himself.
Steve let out a long sigh after you left. He liked you. He knew that. He liked you as much as he liked Nancy. Maybe even more. But he couldn’t bring himself to tell you. He was tense everytime you were next to him. Your looks, your voice, the way you carry yourself, it was just so different from the way everyone else was. You stood out to him, it made you interesting, it made him fall for you.
Tumblr media
“Robin, is it just me or is Steve being weird?” You asked your best friend. The two of you were hanging out at her house over the weekend. You were laying down on her big mattress and she was lying sitting right next to you. “What do you mean? Isn’t he always a dingus?” Robin asked. She definitely could see that sometime was going on. “Well I don’t know, he acts weird. He’s kind of ignoring me. We don’t hang out that much anymore and he always tries to end the conversation when we talk. Maybe I did something wrong?” You said, thinking of all the moments in school when you tried to talk to him he’d just turn you away. Maybe it was because he didn’t want to associate with you at school? But then it wouldn’t make sense for him to ignore you when you, Robin, and him hang out after school.
After a moment of silence Robin gasped. “He might like you!” She said with much enthusiasm. You sprung up from your position, now sitting on the bed. Your eyes were wide, “What!” You exclaimed. “Well he stopped talking about girls. We used to talk about them all the time but now he’s kind of silent,” Robin exclaimed. “Maybe he just moved on? There’s no way it’s because he likes me.” You said. If you were being completely honest you liked Steve, it was a little unfortunate because he had to be one of the straightest men in all of Hawkin’s High besides Billy Hargrove.
“No he probably likes you.” Robin said. “He gets all flustered around you. Just ask him what’s wrong. If he makes a bullshit excuse he definitely likes you,” Robin explained. You disagreed, not wanting to ruin your friendship with Steve.
Tumblr media
Robin paused the movie and declared that she was going to the bathroom, you knew what she was doing. It was obvious given the smirk she gave you after she left. Steve however looked like he was about to explode, anxiety ran through his veins.
“Steve is everything alright? You’ve been pretty quiet recently… Did I do anything wrong?” You asked him. Steve’s heart dropped. He didn’t mean to go as far as completely ignoring you, he just didn’t want you to figure out his feelings for you. “Y-yeah I’m fine.” He stuttered.
“No seriously Steve. You’ve been acting really weird recently. It kind of hurts Steve. The way you always turn me down whenever I try to talk to you…” you told him. You weren’t looking at him, instead you were looking down at your hands, fidgeting around.
Steve’s heart broke when he looked at you. You looked upset and hurt. And it pained him even more knowing that it was his fault. “I’m sorry, you didn’t do anything wrong.. it was me just being weird. I didn’t mean to hurt you in any way…” Steve replied, he started to play with his hair to soothe himself. “Yeah but why…” you said, looking for the terrible answer Robin said he’d give you.
The room was silent. “It’s because I like you… a lot… I’m sorry. It’s just that I didn’t want you to find out because I value our friendship and I feel like I’m going to ruin it,” he admitted. He honestly didn’t know what excuse he could make. And seeing the hurt expression on your face made him feel so guilty for purposely pushing you away.
“Steve?” You asked. He turned to you instantly, “yeah?” He replied nervously. “I like you too,” you told him. Steve was about to speak but the two of you jumped when you heard Robin clapping. She was leaning on the door frame. “Yes! I got my two best friends together!” She celebrated. The two of you rolled your eyes.
Steve moved his hand to gently cup your face before he pulled you into a soft kiss. Steve looked at you with loving eyes after the two of you pulled away. Robin joined the couch, sitting on the right side of you so you could sit next to Steve. She gave you a grin before reaching for the remote to continue the movie. Steve put his arm around you and you kissed his cheek before resting your head on his shoulder, enjoying the rest of the movie with him.

In the rain (Steve Harrington x male reader)
Tumblr media
...notes : so uh, i totally lied about going to post regularly. (no i didn't, i just got busy with school)
...contains : angst, an ABBA reference, male!reader, unrequited love, being in the rain, tw for some words that are in caps, no use of (y/n)
Tumblr media
You’ve always been in love with Steve, even though you knew it was never meant to be. He liked girls, he’s always liked girls and you… well, you were a guy. Not exactly what Steve’s into, and you’ve accepted that, truly you have but there are times where you think that maybe, just maybe, you had a chance. Maybe you could be with Steve.
Hope is a dangerous thing, everyone knows that.
But you couldn’t help yourself. The longing stares, the lingering touches, the looks… it had to amount to something right? Then again it could be all in your head. You were torn, your head was telling you there was no way he could reciprocate your feelings. Your heart told you otherwise. This internal struggle became louder and louder every minute you spent with Steve.
You were starting to be more withdrawn around him, more quiet. You were detaching yourself from him, how could you not? It hurt to see him go on thousands of dates with other girls, girls you wished could have been you. You went from hanging out with Steve every free time you’ve had to scarcely seeing him at all.
Only seeing each other when the group is hanging out. Steve was not stupid, he could see something’s wrong with you. So when Dustin decided to invite you to help them decode the Russian he’d intercepted, Steve waited for the right moment to confront you about the distance you’ve made between you two.
And that’s how you were in this predicament, in the rain. Robin and Dustin had gone ahead of you, leaving you alone with Steve. “Hey, are you okay?” He asked, stopping you with a hand on your wrist. You swear he’d hear your heartbeat pounding if it weren’t for the pouring rain. “Yeah- yeah, why do you ask?” you kept your eyes away from him, knowing that if you looked at him, you won’t be able to stop yourself.
“You’ve been avoiding me.”
“No I haven’t, like I said I got busy.”
He wasn’t buying it, “I know you’re not busy, I saw you with Nancy yesterday. You were with the kids 3 days before that and you were with Robin a week ago!” Shit. You haven’t been careful. You should have realized that Hawkins wasn’t a big town. Why didn’t you remember that? It totally slipped your mind.
You stayed silent so Steve continued, “Did I do something? If I did please, just tell me.” You still haven’t said a word, so he sighs and lets go of your wrist. He says your name, his eyes sad, “What did I do?” You shake your head, “You did nothing wrong. I- It’s-” God, why did he have to be so beautiful, even in this rain.
You made the mistake of looking into his eyes, you shouldn’t have done that. Why did you do that? Didn’t ABBA say don’t look into his angel eyes?? You idiot?!
You couldn’t help yourself, you had lost all control. Before you both knew it, your lips were on his. A minute passed, you realized what you’ve done. Pulling away, your back faced him. You were embarrassed. Regret rushing through your veins.
Why did you do that?
WHY did you do that?
WHY DID YOU DO THAT?
“Shit.” you cursed under your breath, your heart pounding for a different reason entirely now. “I’m sorry.” Your words are loud enough for him to hear before you ran.
You didn’t look back, you just ran. You ran and ran and ran, until you were sure you were far away from Steve.

So, question for you about Battle for the Cowl since it seemed like you might know.
You mentioned in an answer yesterday that the BftC writers justify Jason’s actions with “there was this childhood trauma that got triggered recently”. And I was aware that BftC referenced some “secret” childhood trauma of Jason’s that Bruce and Jason never told anyone about. And I saw the comic pages about that with Bruce’s appalling “you’re my greatest failure” speech.
But I wasn’t aware of anything happening that was implied to have triggered Jason. Do we know what it is that triggered him? Does it give us any insight into what that secret childhood trauma was?
(To me, it seemed like the only answer that made sense was CSA, and I know others have read it that way too. I also know we’ve been accused of “projecting” that interpretation, and I’m genuinely trying not to do that. I just don’t know what other trauma fits makes sense with what Bruce is saying there. But if Jason was triggered by something in comic maybe that would provide some insight?)
Oh, no, I mean that Bruce bringing up that "secret" in his posthumous video message was the trigger.
This is Battle for the Cowl we're talking about, so we're not working with super comprehensible motives here, and we're certainly not working with a whole lot of sensitivity. But my best interpretation of events is that:
years ago, Jason underwent some trauma as a child, previously unknown to readers, which he kept a secret
when he was Robin, Jason confided in Bruce (and only Bruce) about it
otherwise, he mega suppressed that shit
years later after Bruce's death, Tim lets Jason into the cave to see the message Bruce left him (Robin #183), in which Bruce brings up said secret trauma (and tells Jason that he is broken, and Bruce's greatest failure; BftC #3)
hearing this triggers Jason
????
he goes on a murder spree about it, tries to kill Tim again and also Damian and Dick, etc (BftC)
This is all lined out by Dick in narration, after he finds the video message and figures out what's going on. Quote: "Bruce's last will and testament didn't go over well with Jason. Whatever traumatized him all those years ago was buried deep. Bruce dug it up, forcing Jason to deal with it. [...] And whatever scab he formed over the years was unexpectedly ripped off."
As for what that secret trauma is, no, unfortunately it's never revealed or followed up on at all. The perils of Jason having a different writer every storyline.
And I...yeah, don't think CSA is an unfair interpretation. I don't think it's the only interpretation--
(Alternates: Something awful he witnessed happen to his mom. Something awful his mom did, to someone else or abuse towards him, that he didn't want to share because he loves her :( Or the same with his dad. (Easy to forget, but afaik Willis was not shown to be abusive in post-crisis, only after the new 52 retcons, so that would be a secret here.) Or something traumatizing he witnessed as a kid otherwise--particularly something illegal, that he wouldn't want to tell about growing up in a no-cops/no-snitching community. Or some morally wrong thing that he was desperate enough to do as a homeless child, but felt too guilty about later to let anyone know. Or something else I haven't thought of!)
--but the way it's presented by Bruce as a secret, and something that Jason never told anyone else, and something that Bruce also kept silent about for his sake even though in hindsight he thinks that was the wrong choice... Plus Bruce getting cut off as he brings up "a brilliant doctor who--" which isn't necessarily connected to said secret (it could just be about Jason's current undead murderboy state) but probably is considering the surrounding dialogue...
I mean yeah. It's not the only answer, but I absolutely see why a lot of people interpret this as a reference to CSA, not just projecting.
But it wasn't revealed in Battle for Cowl. And then Jason went into different stories with different writers later, and none of them ever picked up this thread to resolve it.

steddie dads part 1:
they have a daughter named alex, who is 13, and very nosey.
steve, who is folding laundry: do you ever wonder if the upside down still exists?
eddie: i mean, obviously it still exists. a dimension can't just disappear, can it?
alex: what's the upside down?
eddie: well-
steve: it's a game! that we used to play with aunt robin and auntie nancy!
alex: im not stupid.
eddie: she's got a point, steve. maybe it's time to tell her?
steve: no. we talked about this already.
alex: pleaseeee dad? I'll... put the rest of the laundry away!
steve: no! end of story. go do your homework.
alex: please?
eddie: steve.
steve: eddie, we talked about this a while ago. i already said my answer.
eddie: she's old enough! alex is smarter than both of us combined! she's smarter than henderson sometimes! that says a lot.
alex walks away, accepting defeat.
steve: i know she's smart. that's not what im worried about.
eddie: then, what's stopping you?
steve: she'll be traumatized! the town she's known her whole life, will be turned into this.. nightmare!
eddie: you're still having them?
steve: i... yeah.
eddie: you should get a therapist. i've told you this a million times-
steve: and tell them what? that i have nightmares about a different dimension?
eddie: then, talk to me! or to alex! um.. remember last halloween when we stayed home because she was sick, and watched the entirety of the saw movies? she was laughing! which, i think we should be scared about, but that's not the point. come on, steve. tell her. i bet it'll make you feel better.
steve: i want to keep her safe! what if.. what if he comes back? and she knows, so he goes after alex? what then?
eddie: he won't. just trust me.
steve: fine. but if she can't sleep tonight, you're staying up with her
eddie: alex!
alex: i finished my homework, and cleaned my room. will you tell me now?
steve: come sit down.
alex: it's not that serious, right?
eddie: do you want to start?
steve explains everything. the good, the bad.
he can still see it. like it happened yesterday.
as his eyes begin to water, eddie places a hand on his shoulder.
that's always been their way of comforting each other.
or a small kiss on the forehead.
alex:
steve: i know. it's a lot to take in.
alex: that's...
eddie: it's what?
alex: why would you use fire in the first place? if it hurt the monsters, it would obviously hurt Vecna, but you cut have decapitated him in the first place. that would have been much easier. you said he used his mind to get into other people's heads?
steve: .. yeah.
alex: then, logically, you could have just went with that in the first place. what rank was he?
steve: rank?
eddie: alex.. this wasn't a d&d game.
alex: mhm.
steve: it happened. in real life.
alex: so, you're telling me that you actually killed him? Vecna?
eddie: yes.
alex:
steve: we aren't trying to scare you.
alex: so.. you were actually cool?
steve: woah, woah, woah. im still cool!
eddie: steve, your idea of risky is going 5 miles past the speed limit. im still cool but...
steve: BUT WHAT?
eddie: maybe you used up your cool-ness in highschool. it happens.
alex bursts out laughing.
steve: DON'T LAUGH! I'M STILL COOL! I'M VERY COOL! I LET YOU STAY UP PAST YOUR BEDTIME LAST NIGHT!
alex: dad, that isn't cool. but it's nice knowing that you haven't always been so... strict.
eddie: you think this is strict? he treated your uncle dustin like his own kid. even drove him to his first school dance.
steve: he had no one! his mom was working that night.
eddie: it's alright. i think it's cute. your mother instincts.
alex: ew! im going to bed. you two are disgusting.
steve: goodnight! i love you!
alex: im 13. you have to stop saying that stuff.
steve: so, you're an adult now?
alex: im not a kid anymore.
eddie: if you aren't a kid anymore, then i guess you don't need a ride to school tomorrow.
alex: if you want me to freeze to death, walking to school, that's on you.
steve gives her a glare.
alex: what?
steve: go to bed.
alex: it's not even 10:00 yet!
steve: you have a test tomorrow. have you even studied?
alex: i don't need to! it's easy.
eddie: what's the square root of 12?
alex: there is no square root of 12.
eddie: oh
steve: alex.
alex: i promise. i have this in the bag!
alex walks into her room and shuts the door.
eddie: she shouldn't be smarter than us.
steve: how do you not know square roots?
eddie: do you think i have time to remember square roots?
steve:
eddie: do you know square roots?
steve: just leave it alone.
eddie: ha! i knew it!

Fictober Day Two: No one warned you about me ?
Fandom: Stranger Things
Pairing: Steddie (Steve Harrington / Eddie Munson)
Warnings: Brief swearing, brief making out
Tumblr media
Steve had found Eddie hanging out at Skull Rock. The curly haired metalhead was sitting utop the rock, smoking a cigarette and gazing at the surrounding nature. Steve thought he seemed different somehow, after escaping from Vecna and the Upside Down. He hadn't seen Eddie since they split up in the Upside Down to take down Vecna. He'd thought Eddie had died, but Dustin told Steve yesterday about seeing Eddie. He didn't elaborate on Eddie's condition, just that he saw him and he was alive. But Dustin had a weird look on his face, like he wanted to say more but couldn't. Steve didn't press the kid, just asked where he could find Eddie.
"What are you doing here, Harrington?" Eddie called down to Steve, not looking at him. Steve tried to look at Eddie's face when he replied, but he had turned away from him.
"I thought you were dead, Munson. Why didn't you tell everyone you were okay?" Steve called up to him. Why didn't you tell me you were okay, he thought to himself. He'd grown fond of Eddie, and it confused him at first. He took some time to think it over and realized he liked Eddie the same way he had liked Nancy. Of course Steve had told Robin right away and Robin was happy for him. She told him some people liked both: boys and girls. Steve knew that was him.
"Well, as you can see, I'm alive. You can go now."
"No way, dude. Why are you pushing me away? I thought you were gone and then Dustin tells me you're back. I thought you died. I'm not leaving now," he yelled back, desperation and a hint of anger coloring his voice. "Why won't you face me? I haven't seen you in weeks. Please, look at me."
"Did no one warn you about me, Harrington?"
"Warn me? What are you talking ab-" A blur of movement interrupted his him, and suddenly Eddie was face to face with Steve, "Is this better, Harrington? Is this what you wanted? There, now you can see me." There was anger in his voice, but Steve could see the fear in his eyes. His red eyes. A twig snapped underfoot as Steve took an involuntary step back. "Eddie.." his voice trailed off, confusion evident on his face. The more he looked, the more confused he became. Eddie's eyes were now a deep crimson, his skin paler than before, and two sharp canines poked out of the man's open mouth.
Steve hadn't said more, just stared. Eddie turned to walk away but was pulled back from a tentative grab at his sleeve. "Wait, Eddie. Don't go." his voice came out softly, barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry. I just.. I didn't know. Are you okay?"
"Am I okay? I'm even more of a freak now!" he was yelling again, "Those damn demo-bats turned me into a fucking vampire. I'm a monster!" Tears streamed down his face as he started to cry. A warmth folded itself around him, holding him tight. "I don't think you're a monster" Steve murmured into Eddie's hair.
They stood there for a while, Steve holding Eddie until the sobs quieted. Eddie hiccupped as he pulled away from the younger man. "Thank you, Steve" he whispered, not meeting his eyes.
"Eddie, can I ask you something?" Eddie looked apprehensively at Steve, afraid for what Steve wanted to know. "It's not about the vampire thing" he added hurriedly.
"Sure?"
"Well, um, I was confused about the bandana that's always in your pocket and I was too afraid to ask you about it so I talked to Robin and she said its some sort of code for um gay guys and BDSM and well.. are you? Um gay, I mean?" he was rambling and bright red from embarrassment.
"I just told you I'm a vampire, and you want to know if I'm gay?" the metalhead asked incredulously. Steve gave a slight nod, the blush was burning his cheeks.
"Yeah, I'm gay, Harrington." Eddie couldn't tell where this was going. Steve didn't care that he was a vampire, but he wanted to know if Eddie was gay? It didn't make sense.
"Can I ask you one more question?" Eddie gestured for him to continue. "Do you.. I like you, Eddie. Do you.. " he couldn't continue. The words were stuck in his throat. Steve hoped Eddie would pick up what he was desperately trying to ask, his eyes searching the crimson ones for the answer. Eddie didn't answer. Instead, he gripped Steve by his jacket. Steve had just thought Eddie was going to push him away when he tugged Steve forward and crushed their lips together. Eddie's lips were soft and cool, and he tasted faintly of cigarettes. Eddie's sharp canines poked Steve's bottom lip slightly, but he didn't mind. Eddie Munson was alive and Steve Harrington was kissing him. When they separated, the couple was out of breath, both gasping for air. "I like you too, Steve Harrington" Eddie said once he caught his breath. Steve smiled and pulled Eddie in for another quick kiss.
"Now that I've found you, Eddie Munson, I'm not leaving you, so let's go. It's freezing out here." Steve pulled Eddie to the path and led him to his car. Eddie's trailer was pretty much destroyed, but Steve figured Eddie wouldn't mind staying with him for the time being. They would work details out later. All that mattered was that Eddie was here.

Stranger Things Masterlist || Celebrate 11k with me
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
It happened the summer you turned 18. You were in the process of cleaning out your closet (something your mom insisted you had to do before you left for college in the fall), trying on different clothes to decide what you wanted to donate when you turned toward the mirror and saw it. Right there on your left rib (because why couldn’t it be in an easily discoverable place) was the outlined tattoo of a baseball bat with nails in it.
“Of fucking course,” you muttered, staring at it, trying desperately to commit the picture to memory. “It’s gotta be some weird shit.”
You figured, and then hoped and prayed it wasn’t, related to one of those weirdos that played Dungeons and Dragons all weekend long. You thought about telling your friends but then you were worried where their minds would jump if you mentioned it. They had all turned 18 already and they had their tattoos, all of them fairly mundane and normal. Your mom had told you that she didn’t meet her soulmate (your dad, of course) until she was graduated from college, living in a completely different state, thousands of miles from where she grew up.
“They might not be in Hawkins,” she had said it to you when you were still 17 and still hoping that somehow it’d be something totally mundane and normal.
This, this would not do.
By the time your tattoo showed up, Steve had already had his for six months. It was a a silhouette of a black cat and it sat right inside his tricep. He’d shown it to Robin and then, just in case, had shown it to Nancy. It wasn’t for her though and he knew that when it first appeared but he had found himself kind of wishing that it was.
Just like your mom, Robin suggested that maybe his soulmate wasn’t even in Hawkins, maybe they were halfway around the world staring at a tattoo of hairspray (that comment didn’t go over well) and wondering who their soulmate was. Steve desperately wanted it to be someone he knew though, or at least someone here. He didn’t wanna go halfway around the world. He didn’t even want to leave Indiana.
“Excuse me?” You waved your hand in Steve Harrington’s face, a last-ditch effort to catch his attention. He was just staring into space, watching the television that was mounted above one of the displays showing some cartoon.
“What?” Steve looked over at you, slightly startled, and then ran a hand through his hair. You wanted to roll your eyes at him. Of course, Steve Harrington hadn’t changed a bit since he was in school.
“I was asking you a question; do you guys have Heaven Help Us?” You asked, “I looked under H but I didn’t see it.”
“Uh yeah, I think someone returned it yesterday,” He announced, stepping away from you for a moment. When he did, you couldn’t help but notice the tattoo on his arm. His sleeve had ridden up enough that you could see part of the cat and thought fondly of your own black cat, no doubt asleep on your bed.
“I like your tattoo, by the way.” You mentioned, pointing to it.
Steve looked down at his sleeve, lifting it the rest of the way so you could see the tattoo more clearly before pulling it down and looking at you, “It’s my uh, mark.” He felt cheesy calling it a soulmate mark but that’s exactly what it was. It was supposed to be his soulmate detector but so far it’d done nothing but bring up duds. He’d gone on plenty of dates and still he hadn’t found his soulmate.
“Reminds me of my cat.” You explained, subconsciously itching at the mark on your ribcage.
“Can I see your mark?” Steve asked immediately, the movie forgotten and his full attention on you as he stared at the spot you were itching. He’d heard about that before, his dad had told him how badly his leg itched when he met Steve’s mom for the first time. Supposedly it was a reaction that happened for some people but not everyone. (Steve was starting to wish that the rules for this soulmate stuff could be a lot more universal but it felt more like things were all over the place).
“What? Why?” You crossed your arms in front of yourself.
“You said this looks like your cat.”
“So what? I’m sure it looks like twelve other people’s cats too. Just cause a blue silhouette of a cat vaguely resembles my cat doesn’t mean we’re soulmates.” You replied, defensively. No way you were strapped with Steve Harrington. Sure he was cute, and funny, and you, like everyone else in middle school, had a crush on him at one point but that was then. You didn’t like like Steve Harrington. You weren’t even really friends.
“Well twelve other people haven’t told me that it looks llike their cat and you keep scratching your side like it itches and that means something.”
“Yeah, I have an itch.”
“Come on,” Steve leaned further onto the counter, “one and done. Just pull up your shirt and let me see. If it isn’t than it isn’t and at least we narrowed it down and if it is...” Steve trailed off, not entirely sure what he wanted to say about it.
“It’s probably not.” There were too many crazy things that happened in Hawkins on the daily, you couldn’t fathom that this could be one too.
“What if it is?” Steve pressed, eyes flicking between your shirt over your ribcage to your eyes, looking eager and somewhat interested in the possibility that it could be what he thought it was, what you thought it might be.
You sighed, unzipping your jacket and pushing it aside, “fine.” Carefully, you lifted your shirt up to just above the tattoo on your side, “this is stupid though, Steve, we’re definitely not soul mates.”
“How do you know?” He questioned, “have you met your soulmate yet?”
“No.” Honestly it was disheartening, knowing that somewhere in the universe another person existed who was your perfect match and you were here, in Hawkins, still doing the same shit day in and day out.
You gripped the bottom of your shirt and slowly pulled it up. Your soulmate was probably the member of some deadly motorcycle gang. A Hell’s Angel or a Pagan and you would somehow have to get used to riding around on the back of a hog even though you panicked just driving in a regular car with the windows down. Maybe they’d be like, an axe murderer or someone with an equally terrible disposition.
“No fucking way, no fucking way!” Steve seemed fairly animated about the whole thing and still your brain couldn’t process what that possibly meant. “That’s my bat!”
Your reaction time was slow, processing what he was telling you. Maybe it wasn’t the most complicated of sentences but the thought of Steve Harrington owning a baseball bat with nails sticking out of it.
“Are you also going to tell me that you abduct people on the weekends or something?” You asked skeptically as you raised an eyebrow at him.
That seemed to bring Steve back down to earth, “it’s a uh, it’s a long story. But, but that’s...I mean. I can show you. It’s in my car.”
“You have a baseball bat with nails in it just...in your trunk? Why? In case someone upsets you?” You asked, holding back a laugh.
“No, but, how are you focusing on that right now? We’re soulmates.”
“That part is gonna take a little longer to process,” you admitted, “I mean, to be fair, I came in to rent a movie...I wasn’t expecting to like, meet my soulmate,” the word sounded foreign as you said it. You’d spent weeks thinking it over and over and wondering who it could be, if they were in Hawkins or somewhere else, and now you were staring at him and you couldn’t even process the information. “Much less that it’d be Steve Harrington.”
“I mean,” he shrugged, “I wasn’t expecting it either.”
“I don’t even...know what to do.” You replied, “like what happens now? Do we like, do we go on a date or something.”
“We can, but I’m not watching Heaven Help Us.” He replied, making a face at the mention of the movie.
“It’s a good movie!”
“Look, if we’re soulmates I’ve gotta level with you. That’s a terrible movie.”
“If we’re soulmates there’s a plethora of things I could say about your taste Steve.” You replied, raising an eyebrow at him.
He looked like he wanted to say something but he smiled instead, “fine, Heaven Help Us it is. But we’re watching Jaws after that.”

“So, we’ll have the morning to ourselves, because otherwise I won’t get you to myself for the whole day,” she smiled as she walked around Steve’s kitchen to grab a glass for herself and him. His birthday was exactly a week away, and with the help of Nancy Wheeler they had the whole thing already planned out. “I think Eddie said he’ll be here to pick us up around lunch time – he’ll already grab the kids first so we just need to grab Robin, and Nance is meeting us-”
For possibly the first time ever, Steve wasn’t listening to her. His eyes were in her general direction, but they were unfocused, like he was mentally somewhere else. He hadn’t moved from his spot leant against the counter, his arms crossed over his chest as he stared into nothingness.
She put the glasses back down on the counter and turned to face him, a slight frown on her lips as she walked over. “Stevie?” Her voice was soft, and he only looked up at her when she gently touched his hand. “You still with me?”
He cleared his throat and nodded, but his smile was so forced that it was impossible to believe nothing was wrong. “Yeah, sorry. Birthday stuff, go on?”
Steve still looked completely uninterested, so she gently worked her fingers in between his to lace them together. His hand was tense, fingers flexed until she moved them. But as she stood in front of him, she noticed that the rest of him was tense too.
“Steve,” she mumbled, her voice softer as she worked circles into his hand with her thumb. “Penny for your thoughts?”
He sighed and wiped his face with his free hand. “It’s nothing, honestly.”
“It’s not nothing,” she kept her voice soft as she looked up at him, her thumb continued rubbing his hand. “You can tell me anything, you know.”
For a moment he looked guilty, and she couldn’t possibly decipher why. He hadn’t done anything wrong to her knowledge, and to be honest she wasn’t sure he was even capable of doing something wrong. Whatever was going on must’ve been really hurting him, and that was all the more worrying.
“I know,” he sounded quiet and deflated. Like he was just really tired of everything. “It’s not… I guess I just didn’t think it was that big of a deal.”
“What, baby?”
Steve stared at her for a moment through an expression that she couldn’t decipher, before he squeezed her hand and took in a deep breath. “I told you that my parents won’t be here for my birthday, yeah?” she nodded, and watched with an aching heart as his gaze dropped to the floor. “I wasn’t really that upset at first. I mean, you know what they’re like, they’re never here,” he grumbled, an undertone of hurt in his words. “and I really am excited about what you and the guys have planned, I know I’m gonna have a good day,” he took a pause and sighed, and she could practically feel his gaze on their interlocked hands. “Sorry.”
“S’okay,” she told him, and lightly squeezed his fingers. “Take your time.”
Steve nodded. It took him another moment before he spoke again. But she made sure not to voice her concern just yet. “I dropped Dustin off at his house yesterday but he wanted to show me something in his room – I think it was a new game or something, little nerd – and I saw how much his mom loves him. Like… really loves him. I’m happy he does, but why does his mom love him and mine can’t even come home for my fucking birthday?”
“Oh Steve.” If he had taken Dustin home the day before then just how long had he been dwelling on this thought?
She didn’t know what she should say to help him – what could help – so she pulled her hand from his grip and wrapped her arms around him instead. His head fell limp against her shoulder as she worked a palm between his shoulder blades, and as soon as his arms tightened around her waist he shook.
He was crying.
She had seen him go through many different hardships; he had fought and got hurt by interdimensional creatures, got the shit beaten out of him by Billy Hargrove, and was drugged and tortured by Russians. But she had never once seen him cry. But for him to have broken down in her arms like that, his fingers curled into her shirt for some stability, it made her wonder just how much his parents, or their absence, had an affect on him.
“I’m so sorry,” she whispered into his hair as she held onto him tighter. She wished that she could tell him that his parents didn’t mean to hurt hm, and that they really did love him so much, but how could she? She had only met them a few times herself, and she knew nothing about their treatment of Steve and how they felt. It would be unfair to feed him empty promises when she just didn’t know. “I love you,” she settled with instead, her voice soft before she pressed a just as gentle kiss to his cheek. “So much, so so much. I’ll always be here for you, I promise.”
Steve took in a shuddered breath and nodded into her shoulder. His fingers gripped her shirt tighter whilst his other arm wrapped around her completely, where he held her tightly. It reminded her of how she used to hold her teddy bear when she had a nightmare as a child, and it made her frown worsen. Steve was still just a boy who needed his parents.
“I know,” he mumbled, his throat thick as he spoke. He leaned back against the counter again and pulled her with him, slotted her between his parted legs to lean against his chest. “Thank you.”
“Anytime, baby,” she whispered, and pressed another soft kiss to his neck. “Do you need anything?”
He shook his head, and if anything held onto her tighter. “No… just stay here a while?”
“Of course,” she whispered. “Always.”

Bad at Love-E.M x f!reader
Tumblr media
Y/n and Eddie are far from perfect but they always find a way to make it work. Or at least she thought. After a petty argument over what movie they should watch, y/n goes to apologize to eddie. Only to find out he already had company.
Warnings! Mentions of drug and illegal activities! Mdni 18+
Pairing- Eddie x female reader (she/her)
I didn't post this yesterday because I worked all day then stayed up to watch V2 and then proceeded to cry the rest of the night, so my apologies for being late.
This is pt 1 out of maybe a 2 or 3 part series:) Hope yall enjoy! <3
_________
"Robin I can't deal with what I just saw! I think its because I just can't, I can't fucking believe it!
“What happened this time y/n?” her tone was flat, tired of anything and everything that had to do with your relationship. But it didn't stop you from sharing anyway.
“Guess! Guess what happened!” you were pacing around her room. Yelling once more about your on and off boyfriend, and love of your life, Eddie munson.
She was used to it by now, the fight picking you both did because neither of you felt good enough for the other for one reason or another. Maybe you would feel insecure when some chick would try flirting with him during your trips out of town together, or he would feel like you found someone at college. Regardless of what it was, or who was in the wrong you were never on the outs for long. And when you were, Robin would have to sit there and listen. Sometimes over the phone, but when you were in town, in the comfort of her room.
She was laying comfortably in bed running ger glittery green fingertips down the back of her purring cat. A bored expression sitting her face.
“You know what? Don't guess because, Jesus it's so unbelievable you won't be able to guess it.’ you took a deep breath trying to put the words together.
“I was, I was going to Eddie's house, ya'know, like I told you I was going to. I started it this time, my turn to apologize. As im pulling up to his house, I see fucking,” the tears begin to swell in your eyes. “fucking Chrissy Cunningham!”
She sat up mouth agape. “No way. No, Y/n tell me youre joking.” she walked across her bed on her knees. “No way, are you sure it was her?”  you nod your head scared you'd break into tears if you said another word.
“Maybe he was like selling her something? Or or or, god I don't know,” she started to bite on her lip looking for something to comfort you.
“No he does his fucking drug dealing. anywhere but home Robin. Why else would they go to his trailer after the game?” you sat down at the edge of her bed. She moved herself next to you.
“Maybe he forgot it?” she gave you a weak smile. You offered one back but your trembling lips couldn't hold it together for long.  A sob escaped them.
You never thought it would ever end, Not really. You would yell and scream and swear it was over, but then you would both cool off. Everything would fall back into place and you would have the best make up sex imaginable.
You thought there was nothing that could ever really keep the two of you apart for long. Especially if the fight was over something as dumb as what movie you were going to put on to pretend to watch but them ultimately end up catching up on all the sex you missed out on during college.
“Its alright. It probably was just a drug thing. And doesn't she have a boyfriend? ” she tries to reassure you.
“Everyone knows she's as clean as a whistle Robin, and... I had a boyfriend when we first started hanging out too, remember?” she hummed remembering.
“Yeah well you guys are in love. He's literally stupid for you y/n! Thats part of why he's still in high school. You distracted the hell out of him last year, remember? It's a miracle you even graduated.” She wrapped her arm around your shoulder and pulled your tear stained face into her.
You sniffled remembering the good times. When things were still fresh, all the angst and build up to him finally having the guts to make his first move. You were both such bad influences for each other when it came to school. You couldn't help it, and neither could he. As cheesy as it sounded, you couldn't stand being apart from each other.
“I just, I'm really scared I finally pushed him over the edge. And God chrissy? She is easily the second prettiest girl in school.” Robin smiled, accepting that you were calling her the first.
“He couldn't go for the first of course, That's my best friend.”
“That would be crossing a whole other line.” she laughed. “Look, why don't you just call him tomorrow? Talk things out when you're a little more calm…I mean really, what are the chances he and the top chear leader are hooking up right now?”
Your stomach churned at the idea. You imagined him laying her down in the same bed you were supposed to be laying on instead of the soaking chest of your best friend. A loud sob escaped again followed by more.
“God I am not very good at this huh.” your best friend said sighing at her failure to make you feel better. She leaned you down on her bed, taking your shoes off that you were too distracted to take off earlier.
Getting into bed she sat up against her headboard, and threw the blanket over the both of you. You scooted over to her and lay your head on her lap.She begins to caress your head letting you spill out your fears and worries, and the last of your tears till you ultimately fall asleep.
_._._._
You wake up the next morning to the sight of Robin wiping last nights eyeliner off.
“Morning.” she says groggly.
“Morning.” you smile. You would apologize for coming to her house and crying so hard you stayed the night, but you were so close all you had to offer was a thank you.
After having a quick breakfast, you dropped her off in time for work. Nearing your house a knot began to grow in your chest. Three cop cars were pulled up in front of it. You were barely able to park.
Exiting your car your mom comes out of the door screaming your name.
“Jesus, Y/n honey! You're safe.” she engulfs you in a breath squeezing hug.
“Why wouldn't I be mom?’ that was when you remembered that you hadn't called home to let her know you were going to stay at Robins.
“I was at Robin's mom. You should have called hers instead of…” you looked around at the police officers. A mixture of relief and concern plastered on their faces.
“I'm home. You can all go now.” you rub your moms back slowly trying to pry her off of you.
“Thats, that's not the only reason they're here hun.” she looked at you with sorry eyes. They led you inside to your living room.
'Let's take a seat lovebug.' You sit down on your couch facing the officers across from you.
When the words left their  mouth you didn't think you were hearing them correctly. You couldn't believe that the words had even come out of their mouths just then.
“We found a student of Hawkens High, Chrissy Cunningham, dead in your boyfriends trailer.”
"And so what? You think Eddie did this?" You knew you probably sounded like a delusional girlfriend. That was exactly what all the signs made it look like that, but it was Eddie. Your Eddie, you couldn't help but get defensive.
“We're not saying anything. But his uncle was at the plant all night. Can you tell us where you were again, Miss Henderson.”
“For christ's sake I told you guys once I got here! I was at Robins last night!”
“Your mother told us that you were going to spend the night with,”
“Yea well that didn't happen. If you're so concerned about where I was you can ask the Buckleys. I'm sure they heard my embarrassing crying last night.” you roll your eyes, holding on tighter to your mothers warm hand.
“Why were you crying honey?"
“Was there an altercation with Mr. Munson? If that were the case did he try,” you held your palm out signaling them to stop.
“Don't you even dare try finishing that sentence. Eddie wouldn’t hurt a fucking fly. I need you to leave my house.” you got up from the couch, dropping your mothers hand. You were trembling, with anger, fear, frustration, whatever it was it had taken over. "Get out of my fucking house!”  You were confused on so many different levels. But there was one thing you were completely sure of, Eddie didn't hurt her.
You saw your brother peeking his head out of his room. You knew he was hearing everything from the other side of the wall, he wasn't dumb, and the walls were thin. Eddie meant a whole lot to him too and there was no way you were going to let them make such claims under your roof.
“Get out!” you screamed at them one last time. The slim cop with a mustache jumped, and slowly backed his way to the door. The sheriff took a quick glance at your mother then back at you. He nodded at your mother. She walked them out. You could hear them talk behind the door. The sound of them pulling away from the house followed.
You sat back down on your couch with your face in your hands. This felt worse than any feeling you had felt the night before. You couldn't keep it together. The facade of the strong older sister, the role of the supportive daughter, it was slipping away, melting off with each tear.
Your mom came back in and sat on the recliner aside from you. Dustin finally slipped out of his room.
“Y/n?" He walked over to you slowly. Maybe he was worried you'd snap on him too. Regardless he knelt down in front of you and placed his hand on your knee.
“I don't know what happened last night. Or what your dumb fight was about, which was probably the reason you went to Robins house… Whatever it is..whatever happened. It's gonna be okay.” you leaned down onto him, holding him as tight as you could.
When you get up from the couch and give him another quick hug.
“I'm going to take a quick shower then we’ll talk more okay?”
Dusting nodded. There was a loud knock at the door. He walked over swiftly to answer it. Your face softened when you saw who it was. Max Mayfield. She greeted you all quickly, pulling Dustin into his room. She looked different. Sadder even. You didn't expect her to be the same after the death of her brother. But there wasn't a touch of paranoia in her eyes that was unsettling.
“Hun, the police want you to go in for questioning. They also want to have you escorted till they find him.” your mom says pulling you from your thoughts.
“What? I told them to screw off and they want to baby sit me now?”
“They just think he might come looking for you…honey I think it's better to be safe than sorry.” she was looking at the ground when she said this. You couldn't believe she would consider the thought of it being true. She knew him. He was always so great with her. And even with your constant bickering, she knew the both of you loved each other like no one else in the world.
“ I don't think he did what they said he did, I really hope not.” she said, squeezing your hand.
“Mom!”
“Im being honest here bug. I just, even if he didn't do anything, I don't think it's a good idea to be seen anywhere near him right now. Not till things cool down.” she caressed your cheek. You knew she was doing her best. But god was it annoying that she didn't believe in his innocence.
You showered till the water went cold. Leaving the warm safety of the running water would mean that it was all real. You took even longer to get ready. Just as you were about to leave for questioning you noticed your open window. You had sworn that you closed it before going to Eddies.
You started to look around your room for anything that was out of place. The last place you checked was where you found what you were looking for. A sign of him.
You plop onto your bed. Your hands shake a single folded up piece of paper. Your name was written across the first fold.
"y/n, I really wish i let you choose that movie. You're right, you're always right. The Breakfast Club is one of the best movies to ever exist."
You chuckle knowing he was just saying that to stop the fight.
"You might start to hear some things about me. Maybe you already have. I just want you to know that whatever it is that they say, it isn't true. I know that you're able to see over everything else that they've ever said, but this is different. I wish I could tell you what happened but I don't even know what went on. Chrissy Cunningham, the cheerleader, slipped me a note after class. She wanted me to deal her something. I met with her after the game because she wanted something stronger than weed. I didn't want to carry that shit around with me. I'm not an idiot. So I drove her to my uncles so i could give it to her there. She was in the living room when I was looking for the stuff. When I came back with it, she was off, and then everything happened. I don't know how to explain it. I came here to tell you what happened, to apologize about the dumb fight. I wanted to see you one last time before whatever happens, happens. I'm scared but I'll be okay knowing you believe me. At least I hope you do. I'm going to where we had our first kiss.
Love you so fucking much
Eddie"
You were relieved that he was safe. The place where you had shared your first kiss was the lake across from his dealers house. The guy was out of town and Eddie took advantage of that. You spent a day there. Turning the music up as loud as you could, smoking and drinking, making the dumbest jokes imaginable. By the end of the day, still high and a little drunk but definitely more sober than before, he pulled out the boat from the shed and you paddled to the very middle before realizing it had a motor. You were laughing so hard you were on the verge of rocking the boat.
It was perfect the way the moment just presented itself. On the lake, both of you high enough to hear the water beneath and around you move with such a clarity, the reflection of the stars above you cascaded off the water, lighting up his pale skin, and showing you the lustful look in his eyes.
“I want to kiss you” he had said to you.
“So kiss me.” he smiled and leaned into you. His soft lips fit into yours like they were made for them. You'd never felt that before. The need or want to kiss someone the way you did him. With others it felt like something you had to do, up down, take a breath, touch their neck, maybe slip some tongue in. But with him, it was easy. No thought was necessary, you could kiss him all day if he'd let you.
Your mind went back to how he said he couldn't explain what happened. The last time you had heard someone say that to you it had to do with the upside down. You hoped to god that it didn't have to do with it. You were so grateful he'd gone so long in the dark about what has been going on in Hawkins. This was the last thing he needed.
If it wasn't official before. It was now, you were going to find him and help him prove his innocence.

girls?
Tumblr media
i do not give permission for my fics to be posted claiming to be yours, translated, or posted on another platform without credit.
 requested by- @sublimecatgalaxy
cw- not rly proof read, barely mentions of fighting (demo dog), enimies to lovers, uhhhhh i dont think anything else tbh.
summary - robin is unsure if her enemy likes her back or not untill she makes a bold move.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“did you see her hair when the hair tie fell out?!” robin continued to daze to steve doing her eyeliner in the passenger seat of steves car.
“robin-”
she cut his speaking off and put her hand down from her face for a minute to look at steve. “now yes steve i now it wasent exactly the best time to find something attractive but..that was attractive!” she looked at him with a “duh!” face almost saying ‘i mean you like girls! you gotta admit, that was hot!’ without actually saying that.
what robin was currently talking ab was when you were fighting a demo dog, swinging around so much your hair tie fell out of your hair, letting strands stick to the sweat on your face and some still loose from behind you. so yeah. not really the best moment to be crushing but oh well what can you do right?
“i think i should ask her out.” robin bluntly started.
“are you sure you want to do that?” steve asked hoping robin would think about this but instead she immediately replied with a strong ‘yes’
“ok but listen i can think of atleast two reasons why you shouldnt do that!”
“oh reaally mr. lady puller? you want her that bad?” robin teased seriously and rolled her eyes.
once steve pulls into a spot in the school parking lot he turns in his seat to look at his (quite frankly only) friend and smacks her hand causing her to drop her eyeliner.
“hey!” robin went to unnecessarily banter.
“no robin ok listen! for one we dont even know if she likes woman and two she hates you!” steve yells mater of a factly.
“yeah well one can be solved by me asking her out doofus. and two shell know i dont hate her once i ask her out. so really! asking her out will clear everything up!” robin states mater of a factly.
not wanting to be late to class for once steve gives up.

“hi” robin cheekishly said to you.
“hi?” you said back in a undertone.
“uh- are- are you hurt to bad from yesterday?”
“no. not really... it just kinda sucks that i have to like- hide from everyone you know?”
“oh trust me i know.” as robin was talking she saw you open a mini cupcake.
“oh my god! y/n!” she randomly shouted.
“oh my god! robin!” you copy sarcastically.
“i just saw you open the cupcake, duh, im right here of course im gonna see you open it but it reminded me that i made a cake yesterday its like red velvet with chocolate icing that i might add also made myself it took me so long and i was scared like so scared that i was goint to like explode something but guess what? i didnt!”
as she kept rambling you slowly smiled remembered something steve told you.
“when robin likes someone she can not stop talking. like she starts talking non stop and really fast.”
“robin.” you cut her off
“yes?” she quickly replied.
“do you like me?”
“yes. no! maybe? i dont now how do you feel about me?”
“how i feel about you is if you were to say you like me.. i wouldnt say i didnt like you too.”
“well then yeah. i do like you. y/n”
“i like you too robin.”
“i like your smile.”
one thing being said right after the other untill robin started ramling again. but this time you decided to cut her off.
“will you be my girl friend?”
robin just stared at you in shock making random hand movements sometimes making some stuttering noises.
“robin?” you say in a sing songingly voice.
“uh- yes? yes! i will be your girlfriend!”
the moment was cut when steve came up behind robin.
“aha! yes! she likes you! thank you for not listening to me!”

Hurt (Part Two)
Summary: After the events of Part One, the reader makes the conscious decision to ignored Eddie. They run into Eddie, buying a gift for Dustin. Steve and Eddie have a heart to heart about the reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: ANGST, Steve and Eddie, jealous eddie
Word Count: 1K
Robin took you home that night, keeping you in her arms, letting you cry. She knew how much you loved Eddie and for him to completely destroy you like he did, absolutely broke her heart just as much as yours. She left that night as she had work early the next day.
After that day, you refused to get out of bed. You just had no will to get up. Everything just hurt, but nothing hurt more than your heart. Tears were always running down your cheeks as you hugged one of the pillows that smelled like Eddie.
“Y/n, you have got to get up” Steve said, about four days after the incident. He was all bruised, having a black eye and a bruised lip. You sat up and touched his face.
“Steve, what the hell happened?” you asked, confused at what happened. Steve sighed and sat down next to you on the bed, refusing to look at you. “Steven David Harrington, tell me this instant why you look beat up” you said, demanding an answer.
“Well, yesterday, he came into Family Video and asked where you were. Robin slapped him across the face and Dustin had to leap across the counter to keep her from doing it again. Then he yellked at her and no one yells at Robin. So I pulled him aside and yelled at him. Then he punched me and I fought back. So yeah, that’s what happened” he said. You kissed him on the cheek and just nodded.
“Thank you, Steve. That made me realize that one Edward Joseph Quinn doesn’t deserve my tears and heart” you said. You got up and took a shower. You stood underneath the water, letting it cleanse me of Eddie as much as possible. You just knew that whatever you and Eddie had, that it was over. He hurt your best friend and he hurt you. That is completely unforgivable.
You put on your favorite tee and a pair of jeans and shoes. You then grabbed Steve by the hand and left your house, just happy to be by his side.
“So, Y/N, I have some bad news” Steve said to me, on the way to Family Video. You gasped out loud, realizing that it was Dustin’s birthday.
“Shit, Steve. We have to get something for Henderson. Come on” you said, looking over at Steve. He nodded and you began walking with Steve to the closest comic book store. You entered the store and saw Eddie there, presumably looking for the same thing: a present for Dustin. Steve grabbed your hand and squeezed it, worried about how you would react. You could feel Eddie’s eyes on you as you went around the store, trying to find something for Dustin. You needed to make this boy happy, he really needed it.
“Y/n,” you heard Eddie say but you let yourself ignore him. A week ago, you would have run to his side, as his voice was painfully quiet, but now… You couldn’t even look at him.
“Y/n,” Steve said and that you looked up, seeing Steve holding a comic book from a series that Dustin really liked.
“Ooh, Steve that is perfect. Actually, I am supposed to meet Robin somewhere. I will see you later, Steve” you lied and Steve knew it but he knew that you had to get out of there. You kissed him on the cheek and walked out of the store, trying your hardest to ignore Eddie’s eyes.
Eddie
“Steve, why won’t she look at me?” Eddie asked, quite confused as to why you were acting as if he didn’t exist. Steve rolled his eyes at Eddie.
“No offense but are you an idiot?” Steve said, confused at why Eddie was acting like this. Why his blowing up at Y/N had not happened. “Eddie, you know how much she was hurt by her dad dying. And then she was so hurt by what had happened to her when she was fourteen. She felt like she was unlovable. Then you came along. You made her felt seen and heard and loved. And then you destroyed her in a matter of sentences. I don’t even know why. Dustin told us that you had found out that she had a crush on you and that you were ecstatic. What in the fucking hell happened between that ans ypu absolutely being a dick to her. She didn’t deserve that. And honestly, I didn’t deserve to be fucking hit for putting you in your place. You don’t yell at Robin. She was just protecting her best friend. I shouldn’t even be explaining any of this to you. You don’t deserve any of this. For her sake, I want an answer” Steve demanded, throwing a very harsh glare at Eddie.
“I was jealous, okay. I have been in love with Y/N since I was eight years old but I never thought it was possible that we could ever be something more than best friends. Because look at me and then, look at her. She has always been beautiful and then when she noticed me, she changed my life. But then she became close with you. And I thought that she would realize that she deserved better than me. And that day, the day that I ruined everything, I thought that you two were together. And there was no way in motherfucking hell that I could compare to Steve ‘The Hair’ Harrington. So I just said things that I knew would hurt her. But I didn’t think they would hurt her that bad. God, Steve” Eddie said, running his hands through his hair.
“Eddie, me and Y/N are never going to happen. I mean, yeah. I like her. That girl is such a ball of sunshine. She makes everyone’s life better but something romantic between us is never going to happen. I really hurt her back in high school. Like worse than you. I know that she had a crush on me back then but now, that is out of the question. Eddie, I know that you were just jealous. But man, you absolutely broke her. Your words, they broke her apart. Just please fix it, Munson. We all want our ball of sunshine back” Steve said, placing a hand on Eddie’s shoulder and squeezing it before leaving the store.
“Oh shit. I really fucked up” Eddie said.
A/N:
Thank you for all the love the first part got. I'm not sure if I should do a third part or not. I'm completely new to this Tumblr writing so I'm not sure.

Some #Only in Gotham posts because I’m stressed and this is my coping mechanism
Guys guys guys
So I was in Central City today visiting some friends earlier this morning, and then the city gets attacked by these... aliens? Weird reptillian cryptids?? Who knows, but they were not happy nor friendly. We were all at this nice cafe just vibing in the outdoor area when this bipedal, green-gray reptile thing pops out of the manhole outside the cafe and goes absolutely feral. He was super close to my group so I grab my croc repellant (for non gothamites, its’ basically pepper spray but really bad-smelling to ward off croc if he ever shows up) out in an instant and I sprayed it right in the face.
Then I grabbed the nearest thing—some poor old guy’s metal walking frame—and whacked the reptile in the back of the head and it crumpled basically instantly.
And after the JL had stepped in to deal with the rest of them (not many, from what I’ve heard, but better safe than sorry I guess), heaps of people were freaking out about it because, well, this is Central City, they don’t get this kind of crime, they’re not prepared for this, yada yada.
Then that manhole pops up and everyone freaks out again because “oh god they’re back” but it’s just Batman dragging a bunch of tied up reptiles out of the sewers using some kind of winch set-up. It was almost comical—a daisy chain of reptiles being lifted out of this manhole in Central City by our favourite Goth Cryptid.
The cops were completely floored. The civilians didn’t know whether to be more scared of Bats or the reptiles. I mean, it was literally the middle of the day, and it’s rare to see Batman in daytime in Gotham but I guess this was an extenuating circumstance, so I guess I see why they were scared.
Batman just looks down at me standing over an unconscious reptilian holding the can of croc repellant and he’s just like “I’m guessing you’re from Gotham.”
I was like “yeah. Can’t escape the damn cryptids wherever I am.”
And tHEN he LAUGHS. Like, it was a small and quiet snort but it happened and I’m still shook. I have officially joined the “I made Batman laugh” squad. I can ascend peacefully now.
He seemed super embarrassed but asked if my friends and I were okay before he turned on his heel and stalked over to Flash and Woner Woman, a daisy-chain of reptiles in tow.

I just heard this Metropolis guy try and trash Bruce Wayne to his friend at this diner and like five seperate people (myself included) turned around to roast the hell outta him. Like, yeah, he’s a billionaire, which is a whole can of worms I don’t wanna open right now, but he’s basically the only reason this city’s still standing and functioning (especially after the quakes and the no-man’s-land bs). His kids—most are poc and would not have thrived in the system—are all successful and work with their communities to better other people’s lives. Bruce Wayne is basically the only reason I got through high school (and am now in college); a scholarship is the only reason most of my friends have enough money to make rent. He “accidentally” spilled wine on Lex Luthor when he made a sexist remark. Also, didn’t it come out recently that he’s basically been funding the JL o at least is a major financial backer? An icon. You can shut your mouth, Jeremy.
One girl Instagram lived the whole exchange (she was filming beforehand I think) and it was magical.
Later on, Robin (the newest one, with the swords) shows up and he’s like “thank you for defending the honour of Mr Wayne”. I was like “kid,,,, you don’t need to thank me but you’re welcome”. he just kinda looks at me for a second and says “you eat free tonight” and chucks a bunch of dollar notes at me and disappears into the wilderness (ie. an alleyway). It was so surreal.

Yeah so....... I just saw some of Two-Face’s goons about to enter a bank, weapons drawn, and I’m scared because their boss is in Arkham, and the Rogues’ most loyal people always get antsy and trigger-happy when their bosses are off the board. I’d dialed 911 when I first saw them and ducked into an alley.
But then I see one of them stop dead in their tracks—Goon A we’ll call him—and says “hey, Wayne’s in there”.
Goon B: “Oh, we’re not meant to go after Wayne. Pack it in fellas.”
Goon C: “Huh? why not?”
Goon A: “Boss-man said so. Wayne used to be his best bud. Helped him campaign to be DA and stuff. Went to college together. Nice man.”
Goon B: “Got no problem wth that. Wayne’s the only reason my boys got through school. Besides, we mess with Wayne, the boss and Harley will be on our asses.”
Goon C: “Huh. Fair enough. We’ll go to the other location then.”
And then they just,,,, left.

Today I was in a Zoom call with some of my coworkers on the other side of the world, sitting in the kitchen facing the living room, when Red Robin comes crashing through my window. I just kinda turned around to see if he was badly injured (he wasn’t, couldn’t even see any blood) so I just continued on with what I was saying and he sheepishly left through the same window.
My coworkers are looking at me like “Jacob are you okay??” And I’m like, “yeah man, that was just Red Robin, he has unfortunate luck with windows. Soon enough one of the other Bats will come knocking with a replacement or a cash refund. Though, I should probably just invest in plexi-glass.”
One of my coworkers went on a bit of a rant about “vigilantes causing property damage and disrupting the peace” and i’m like “Mark I’d rather Batman crashing through my door or window once a month to getting buried in my twenties in his abscence,” and he was like “yeah, fair enough” so we just continued with our call.
After my call, Blonde Batgirl shows up and apologises for the window. I ask about plexi-glass and if Red Robin is alright.
She’s like “yeah he’s fine but he’s getting Bat-Lectured for being reckless which is why I’m here. Also from what Oracle can tell you should be able to get plex-glass installed within the week.”

So, Red Hood piggy-backed me up to my apartment yesterday because my heel broke when I was fleeing from these guys trying to mug me (or worse) and I sprained my ankle. He carried me up four flights of stairs and helped me get into my apartment and wrap my foot properly.
I told him to take some of my nana’s lasagna (because our local vigilante needs to keep his strength up! Man’s gotta eat, and from what I hear he’s not swimming in cash) and he got real quiet for a while before saying “yeah, sure”.
So he ate some lasagna while I called in sick to work (who were very understanding, surprisingly).
Then after a little while he’s like “bye” and jumps outta my window.
An icon.

Leah (Stardew) x Selectively Mute She/Her Reader
A/N: Thought I’d try something different with this one. Sorry if I didn’t detail the instances of sign language very well, or if they are a little off, I did try. Also Kel is an asshol in this when they show up so get ready for that. Robin is cool mom and Abigail is the friend who is always ready to fight at the drop of a hat. Also, time is so weird in Stardew? There are four season in a year but each season is like a month so a year is like four months. Time is scary. I hope you like it! Word Count: 8,943

“So, someone has finally taken up that old farmland,” Leah heard Gus say to Harvey as he fixed the good doctor a drink at the bar, “‘Heard Lewis and Robin talking about it outside of Pierre’s yesterday.”
“Is that so?” Harvey was tired from a long day at the clinic, but being ever polite, he humored Gus and rested fully against the bar stool.
“Mhmm, looks like the old man’s kin is finally gonna make something of it. A few years late though I must say, that place is well overgrown. It’s gonna take a lot more than a little elbow grease to spruce up that dump,” Gus chuckled good naturedly and handed Harvey his beer, “I wish them luck, whoever they are.”
“Bah!” Leah jumped in her seat tucked away in the corner. Pam must have been listening in too. “If they’re smart they’ll just sell the heap of trash to Joja. M’sure they’d get a pretty penny for it.” Pam spoke bitterly. Shane, who was also quite drunk at this point in the night, took the opportunity to add his two cents in and yell across the bar.
“Why would they get your daughter for selling out to Joja?”
“That’s not what I meant, dumbass!” Pam roared back, slamming her beer on the table with a loud thump.
Leah decided she’d call it a night then. Without Elliott to crack jokes with, the saloon could get real depressing real fast with Shane and Pam racing each other to see who would get alcohol poisoning first. Even Clint was just sad to watch. The poor man sitting hopefully, waiting for Emily to even just turn in his direction. Leah finished the rest of her beer and paid Gus, giving the man a sympathetic smile as he left to cut Shane off.
Leah shivered in the cool spring breeze as she walked along the river bank to her cottage and her thoughts wandered back to what Gus had been gossiping about.
“A new face around Stardew Valley, hm?” Leah mused, kicking a stray pebble in her path, watching it skip across the cobbled stone. “I guess I won’t be the town newbie anymore.” She smiled and turned to look in the direction of Marnie’s home, knowing that the farm was somewhere just beyond. As Leah turned the key to unlock the door of her small cottage, she wondered what changes this new resident might bring.
***
“Have you met our new resident farmer yet?” Leah heard Caroline ask Jodi as she walked across the town square.
“I suppose you could call it that,” Jodi laughed, “It was a very brief meeting to say the least.”
“I’m glad I wasn’t the only one then,” Caroline sighed, putting a hand to her chest in relief, “I thought I had offended the girl somehow, she never said a word. She just walked into the shop and pointed to a few seeds she wanted to buy, then she handed Abigail, Pierre and I daffodils and went on her way. Not so much as a sound.” Caroline explained, still bewildered by the interaction.
“Sounds about right,” Jodi nodded, “She knocked on the front door and handed me a single clam. Which was nice I suppose, but so very odd. She gave Vincent a daffodil too,” Jodi smiled, “He was very pleased. I’m sure she would have given Sam something as well if he could wake up at a more reasonable time.”
“Oh, Leah! Good morning!” Caroline had caught her. Leah put on her most sociable smile and walked forward, greeting the two women.
“Good morning Caroline, Jodi.”
“Have you been visited by the farm fairy yet?” Jodi asked, chuckling along with Caroline.
“I’m afraid not.” Leah admitted. “Although Elliott says I am a bit difficult to track down at the best of times.” She laughed good naturedly.
“Well, I’m sure she’ll get you sooner or later. She seems to be on a mission to greet the whole town. If you can call it a greeting I suppose. I don’t even know her name.” Caroline realized.
“It’s (Y/n).”
The three women jumped and turned to a grinning Robin, walking up to them with her yoga mat swaddled under her arm.
“Her name is (Y/n). She’s quite the character, huh?”
“Robin, you helped Mayor Lewis move her in didn’t you? What can you tell us?” Jodi asked, looking for any crumb of information she could get on the mysterious girl.
“Not much to tell,” Robin shrugged, “Just a sweet kid wanting to get away from the pressures of the big city,” she sent a knowing look at Leah, “Sounds like someone else I know.”
Leah laughed politely, twisting a finger around the tail end of her braid as blush settled in her cheeks faintly.
“But why is she so... you know, quiet?” Caroline asked.
“Hm, well, she did give me her blessing to explain should it come up.” Robin took a moment to think of how to proceed, absently tapping her fingers against her mat. “(Y/n) is selectively mute. She has the ability to speak, but she’s just not comfortable enough to do so at this time. This move was a big decision for her, and she’s excited, but it’s just gonna take some time before she feels secure enough to communicate orally.”
“And how did you get all this information out of her?” Caroline wondered.
Robin secured her yoga mat between her thighs and presented both hands, pointing her index fingers outward and drew a couple large circles in the air with the tips of her extended fingers. “Sign language!” Robin grinned, before taking a hold of her mat once more.
“Oh how clever!” Jodi praised. “I wish I understood sign language.”
“I’d be happy to show you a few of the basics sometime. If you really need to ask (Y/n) something though she will have no problem writing out answers for you.” Robin informed. “Now, are we working out today or...”
“I completely forgot!” Caroline smacked her forehead with the palm of her hand, “Yes, let’s go. Poor Marnie is probably wondering where we are. Are you going to join us Leah?”
“I’ll pass, thanks. I’m heading to the beach to do some painting,” Leah explained, motioning to her bag.
“Alright, see you around!” Caroline, Jodi and Robin bid Leah goodbye and hurried to the general store.
Leah sighed, as much as she liked the people in this town they were so chatty. She could have been at the beach forever ago! Once she arrived, she saw Haley sunbathing. Not unusual, but as she kept walking closer to shore she saw Elliott splayed out over the sand laying on his stomach.
Leah rolled her eyes and walked over, playfully kicking the man’s arm, causing him to squint up at her.
“Is there some kind of new writing exercise I should know about?” She asked, playfully.
“I wish, this is simply writer’s block at its finest.” Elliott groaned. “That, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with this,” he sat up and produced a wild horseradish from his jacket pocket.
“Why do you have a horseradish in your pocket?”
“A girl I’ve never seen before in my life gave it to me. Then she took off before I could refuse. Didn’t even say a word.”
“She’s totally weird, but she did give me a daffodil so I guess she’s not that bad.” Haley called from her own spot in the sand.
“Has everyone met the new girl except me?” Leah wondered aloud.
“She’s been making rounds. I’m sure she’ll find you eventually.” Elliott said, resting his chin over his arms.
“You make her sound so ominous.” Leah laughed, lowering herself to the sand and taking out a sketch pad.
“A silent specter. A harbinger of-“
“Oh can it, drama queen,” Leah smirked, “so she gave you a horseradish, it’s not the end of the world. She was just trying to be nice.”
Elliott pursed his lips, propping his head up with one hand he turned the horseradish in the other offering it to Leah. “Do you want it? You’re all about foraging.”
“I mean, if you’re not going to use it sure. Put it in my bag.” Leah relented easily. Her eyes only leaving her paper to study the horizon for a moment, then continue to sketch.
Leah stayed on the beach with Elliott for a couple of hours, talking  sketching, and painting. Finally she stood and stretched, patting the sand off the back of her jeans. “I should get going. See you around.”
“See you.” Elliott nodded, splitting off from Leah to head over to his shack.
Leah hummed to herself as she walked through town, making her way past Jodi’s house and entered the Cindersnap Forest. As she rounded the corner of her cottage, she paused in her tracks. Observing a young woman staring at her door with dandelions in one hand and her other poised to knock on the weathered wood.
Leah flinched slightly, she had stepped on a twig, snapping it and alerting her visitor of her presence.
Startled eyes met Leah’s own and the farmer straightened from her previous position, stepping back from Leah’s door.
She smiled shyly, giving Leah a short, jaunty wave before gesturing between Leah and the cottage a moment. Then she stood still. An expectant look on her face.
Leah simply stared back, blinking before she registered the silent question. “Oh! Yes, I live here. Thats my house. You’re (Y/n), right? Robin told me about you, I’m Leah.” She smiled kindly, coming forward to offer (Y/n) her hand to shake.
Instead of grasping Leah’s hand, (Y/n) cupped it with her gloved hands, turning Leah’s hand palm up and placing the dandelions inside.
“Ah, thank you.” Leah chuckled, “These will make a great salad.”
(Y/n) nodded vigorously, then moved to make her exit. Leah wasn’t sure what possessed her, but she called out to (Y/n) before she could get too far.
“Wait, I um, it’s not much but I did take an intro to ASL course my freshman year of college so, I’m a bit limited but if you ever want to talk, you know...” Leah wished she could stop talking right now. Why had no one told her that the farmer was cute!? “So, yeah, you know,” Leah fumbled with her free hand, her fingers sat just underneath her chin before she sent them forward, “Thanks again.” She smiled nervously.
(Y/n) stared at her, dumbfounded. Then she released a short, sharp exhalation of air that was reminiscent of stuttered laughter and turned back to stand before Leah. (Y/n) made a timid approach and gingerly took Leah’s wrist, still hovering midair, and guided the hand back to rest on Leah’s chin, just below her lip. Leah stood still as stone as (Y/n) held it there for a second then extended the hand forward. She repeated the motion twice more before backing away and releasing Leah from her gloved grasp. The smell of earth and grass still clung to Leah’s nose even after (Y/n) had stepped back.
“Oh, I did it wrong, didn’t I?” Leah blushed, “Is there a big difference between the two?”
(Y/n) blew out a large breath of air and nodded. One of her gloved hands came up to cover the amused smile fighting against her lips.
“What did I say? Was is embarrassing? Yoba, I need to know,” Leah carefully set the dandelions at her feet and rummaged through her bag. Taking out her sketch pad and a pencil, she flipped to a clean page and presented the materials into the rough fabric of (Y/n)’s gloved hands, “Please, tell me.”
(Y/n) shot Leah a sympathetic smile, then she looked down at the paper and wrote quickly and concisely. She looked over her work, nodded to herself, then she handed the sketch book and pencil back to Leah before jogging of in the direction of her farm.
“Eh- Hey! Wait a minute!” Leah took a few strides after the farmer but quickly gave up, electing to look at the paper in her hand instead. “Maybe I’ll tell you some other time. Nice meeting you Leah, smiley face.” Leah read aloud to herself. She scoffed, but couldn’t stop the smile that had conquered her lips. She couldn’t wait to see (Y/n) again.
***
“Hey, Maru-“
“I think I have a feeling about what this is about, but just in case, please proceed.”
The next morning, Leah had made her way to the clinic to visit Maru and perhaps get the answers she was looking for. She had made the trek to (Y/n)’s farm first, but she wasn’t there. A little note hastily taped to the farmer’s door revealed that she was spending the day fishing in the mountains and wouldn’t be back until late at night.
“Maru, you know sign language like your mom, right?” Leah asked.
“Sure do. Seb and dad do too.” Maru nodded, leaning over the clinic counter. “But I’ve got to tell you that if you’re looking for the meaning of what you accidentally signed to (Y/n) last night, we were sworn to silence earlier this morning before (Y/n) went fishing. Sorry.” Maru smiled.
“Ugh,” Leah sighed, leaning her forehead against the counter. “Can I at least have a hint?”
“Well, it’s really funny. Especially considering how chill you normally are and your kind disposition.”
“Yoba, I really need to know!” Leah groaned against the counter.
“Well my family can’t tell you. You’ll just have to wait to hear it from (Y/n),” Maru grinned and pushed away from the counter, “I have to prepare for Evelyn’s check up now so I’ll see you around Leah.”
“Yeah, bye.” Leah grumbled, watching Maru disappear into the back offices. “Well, there goes that plan.” She mumbled under her breath as she left the clinic.
Leah spent the rest of the day sculpting in her cottage. She spent hours getting lost in the chipping of the wood before finally going to bed.
***
It had been days since Leah last saw (Y/n) and if the farming life wasn’t so demanding, Leah would have been worried that she had deeply offended the farmer to the point that she was purposely avoiding her. Leah decided not to waste the time she had been presented with.
She approached Robin about sign language lessons, enough to get some basic phrases and words. She practiced the motions herself, perfecting them to allow for no mistakes. Although she knew (Y/n) could hear her just fine, she found it easier to retain the lessons this way. Not to mention that it was just a useful language to know.
“I’ve hardly seen you around. I was worried you stabbed yourself with your woodworking tools.” Elliott said as Leah came up to sit next to him in the saloon.
“And you didn’t think to come to check on me?” Leah looked at the writer incredulously.
“Nope.”
Leah punched Elliott’s arm and he laughed. Before long, Emily came by with their food and they ate comfortably.
“Would you look at that.” Elliot spoke, pointing in direction of the door as he swallowed another bite.
Leah turned to look, purple irises sparkling at the sight of (Y/n) lugging a large bag up to the bar. She watched Emily talk (Y/n)’s ear off, the poor farmer smiled uncomfortably while trying to divide her attention between her and Gus who had apparently requested a variety of fish.
“Wow, Robin said you were in trouble but you really are,” Elliott chuckled behind his beer, “You really lit up just now.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Leah scoffed, still watching (Y/n) hand Gus fish after fish. It was almost comical how such an objectively small bag could hold so much.
“You can’t keep your eyes off her. I realize the dating pool in Stardew is small, but the girl just got here.”
“Elliott, stop!” Leah blushed, looking back down at her plate to stab at her salad.
“I’m just saying, you’re already taking sign language lessons for her you might want to dial it back a little bit. You wouldn’t want to come off as the obsessive type.”
“Oh! She’s leaving, should I offer to walk her home? I’m going to offer to walk her home.” Leah dug in her pocket and pulled out some gold, pushing it over to Elliott.
“What did I just say?” Elliott called after Leah, as she eagerly jogged to the exit to catch (Y/n) walking in the direction of the Cindersaps, perfect!
“(Y/n), good evening!” Leah called jogging up to the farmer only to have the farmer gasp and take several steps away from Leah, holding her hands out as a warning to not come any closer. “I’m sorry, I’m didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable!” Leah gasped, maybe Elliott was right.
(Y/n) shook her head, slowly taking a step back towards Leah, presenting her slightly soggy bag and waving her hand in front of her nose, scrunching her face as she did so.
Leah was sure the movement wasn’t an official ASL sign, but it did help get the point across and she giggled.
“What? Do you think you smell?”
Another nod and a look that seemed to say that she didn’t just think so, she knew so. She had been in the mines all morning and fishing at the beach all afternoon. She couldn’t wait to take a shower.
“It’s alright, I won’t judge you,” Leah smiled, “Are you heading home for the night? I’d be happy to walk with you since it’s so dark.”
(Y/n) took a moment to think about it before nodding shyly and motioning Leah closer. Leah happily obliged walking alongside the farmer into the Cindersap Forest. The walk was mostly silent, but that was to be expected nonetheless, Leah was having a great time. They had even found a couple of leeks along the way which (Y/n) had insisted Leah keep. All too soon, they reached the porch of the old farmhouse.
“You’re crops look great,” Leah complimented, looking for an excuse to stay even just a few minutes more, “really healthy. What all have you been growing? Are those potatoes and turnips?”
(Y/n) looked over her shoulder as she unlocked her door. Her eyes focused on where Leah was pointing and nodded affirmingly.
“Yeah, I’m no farmer but I love foraging. I’ve got a few really good books about wild foods and where to find them and when. It’s kind of like a scavenger hunt.” Leah grinned.
“Mhmm.”
It was quiet, a little strained, but the small hum of agreement almost sent Leah into cardiac arrest. She sounded so sweet! Leah’s cheeks were starting to hurt from how widely she was smiling.
“Well, I’ll leave you to it then. So, I’ll see you around?”
(Y/n) looked like she wanted to say something, but settled for a simple nod, fiddling with the gardening gloves she had taken off. Leah smiled softly, watching how the farmer intently eyed the fabric twisting in her hands.
“Feel free to drop by the cottage whenever it suits you. I’ll leave the door open!” Leah added, waving over her shoulder as she turned to walk away. (Y/n) beamed, looking a bit more lively as she waved back.
Leah turned her back on the house and walked back to her cottage in the Cindersaps with a skip in her step and a painfully large smile on her face. Although it was already late, she prepared a new block of wood for sculpting. Her new muse had granted her a vision for a grand project and had the potential to be one of her greatest works yet.

“Kel, I told you to stop calling me. I’m not coming back to the city, we are through.” Leah frowned, her hand gripped the phone receiver so tightly that she could hear the plastic giving slightly under the pressure.
She was so focused on combating Kel’s useless bargains that she hadn’t noticed the timid farmer show herself in, looking at Leah’s tense shoulders and back with concern. (Y/n) flinched as Leah cut off Kel to speak again, her voice low and stern.
“There is nothing you could say, nothing you could offer me, that would make me come back. Move on, and please, for the last time, do not call me again.” Leah slammed the phone down on its perch. Pressing her palms into her eyes she let out a frustrated groan, slowly positioning her hands to rub at her temples to combat the headache she felt coming on.
Then she heard the door creak.
Leah quickly turned around just in time to see (Y/n) looking back at her with wide eyes and lips pursed thin as if she had been caught witnessing an event she had no business seeing. Which was partially true, but Leah had told her a week beforehand that she could drop by anytime.
“(Y/n), what a pleasant surprise!” Leah grimaced, watching (Y/n) flinch and look down sheepishly at her feet. One had managed to retreat back out the door before being caught and it was slowly joined by the intruding foot, so (Y/n) was fully outside again. Leah shook her head and calmly approached the farmer.
“Please don’t leave, I’m the one who told you to come let yourself in whenever. I’m sorry you had to hear all of that.” Leah was worried, watching (Y/n) linger in the doorway. Her shoulders relaxed when (Y/n) cautiously came back inside and closed the door behind her.
(Y/n) stood in the entryway and looked over Leah, her eyes filled heavily with concern. She raised a hand, pointing to Leah before signing the letters ‘o’ and ‘k’.
“I’m okay. I’m just,” Leah fumbled for the right words, “mad, sad? Exhausted.”
(Y/n) made another gesture, shaping her fingers into a ‘hang loose’-esque sign. Her curled fingers meeting her chin. She lowered the hand momentarily to give it a controlled shake before bringing it back up into the starting position.
“What’s wrong?” Leah mumbled, making sure she understood. (Y/n) nodded. “I just got a phone call from someone I didn’t want to talk to is all,” Leah sighed, “They’re an ex of mine. The person who called.” Leah disclosed, rubbing the back of her neck, agitated.
(Y/n) signed again, but Leah didn’t quite catch it that time so she motioned (Y/n) over to her dining nook and sat her down with some paper and a pencil. The farmer seemed a bit unwilling to write it out, feeling like it was more insensitive somehow but with a little prodding from Leah, she gave in.
“Was it a bad break up...” Leah read aloud. She sat back in her chair and carefully chose her words. “Sometimes it feels like we’re still breaking up,” Leah chuckled wryly, “Kel, my ex, didn’t like me perusing art. They didn’t think I could make a living out of it and wanted me to waste away at some office job and well, I didn’t want that. They weren’t respectful or supportive of my dreams, so I left. They call me a lot though, to try to convince me to come back to the city... that I won’t make it as an artist. That I can’t be happy without them. It really is exhausting and the worst part is, I worry that they’re right.” Leah released a shuddering breath, “I haven’t sold a single piece. I don’t really even know how to start. I can sustain myself on what I have in my savings account for only so long.”
(Y/n) covered Leah’s hand with her own, squeezing it. Leah marveled at how soft it was in comparison to her own, especially since it was the hand of a farmer. Perhaps the gloves (Y/n) always wore had more practical uses rather than simply being worn for aesthetic’s sake. Leah chanced a look at (Y/n)’s face and was caught off guard by the determined fire blazing in her eyes. Then Leah’s attention was brought back to the table as (Y/n) furiously scratched the pencil against the paper and forcefully pushed her newly composed message in front of the sculptor, her other hand still rooted over Leah’s.
Leah read over the note and felt her heart ache with appreciative warmth. ‘You were brave enough to know what you wanted and even though it wasn’t easy, you went for it. That in itself is an amazing accomplishment that you should not take lightly. Your dream is not unfounded either, I’ve seen some of your sketches and paintings and I think you are very talented. Once you figure out how to put yourself out there you’ll have people begging you to take their money.’
Leah sniffed and smiled at (Y/n) appreciatively, turning her hand to reciprocate (Y/n)’s strong, yet gentle hold on her. “Thank you, (Y/n). I just wish I knew how to start.”
(Y/n) tapped her chin with the pencil as she thought. When she had an idea, she pulled the paper back to herself and wrote a suggestion.
“An art show? Oh, I don’t know (Y/n). It hardly seems possible.”
(Y/n) shook her head in disagreement and wrote more.
“You really think the town would want to help? Are you sure you want to help? You’ve got enough on your plate already with how busy the farm keeps you. I don’t want to impose.”
(Y/n) looked as if she had something to say, her throat bobbed and her lips twitched, but in the end she settled for the paper again, still too anxious to speak. After Leah had read the reply, she felt (Y/n)’s thumb rub against her knuckles and looked up. (Y/n) nodded, her expression serious. She wanted to help Leah with this.
“Thank you, (Y/n)!” Leah sniffled, holding back tears. She launched herself into (Y/n)’s arms and hugged the surprised farmer close. “Thank you so much!”
(Y/n) slowly returned the hug, smoothing one of her hands over Leah’s back in comforting motions. It was a bit of an awkward position with (Y/n) still sitting at the table and Leah hovering over her, but it felt nice.
“Sorry,” Leah chuckled after a moment, leaning back and wiping a stray tear from her eye, “I kind of caught you off guard with that didn’t I?”
(Y/n) shrugged and smiled good naturedly. A look came over her face as if she just remembered something and she stood up to grab her bag from the cottage entryway. She grinned when she found what she was looking for and made her way back to Leah, holding out a brown paper package to her.
“For me?” Leah asked. (Y/n) nodded and gestured for her to take it. Leah carefully unwrapped it and gasped. “(Y/n), is this goat cheese? I love this, how did you know?”
(Y/n) raised her hand, signing the letters ‘E’ ‘L’ ‘L’ ‘I’ ‘O’ ‘T’ ‘T’.
“Elliott hm?” Leah laughed, “I’m glad you two are getting along after the horseradish debacle.”
(Y/n) crossed her arms and stuck her nose up. She wasn’t looking back on the memory fondly.
“Hey, I’m with you on this one. He was being an ass. How could you have known he hated horseradish.”
(Y/n) nodded in agreement, one of her hands reaching out as if to say, ‘exactly’. She then noticed the time on Leah’s clock and signed that she had to go.
“I see.” Leah smiled sadly, trying not to let her disappointment shine through. “Good bye then, and (Y/n),” Leah signed ‘thank you’, very mindful of the position of her hands this time around, “seriously thank you for everything.”
(Y/n) beamed, giving Leah a thumbs up before heading out the door.

“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Leah kept mumbling to herself while watching her fellow Pelican Townies set up her creations in the town square. There were already some tourists looking around and Leah felt her nerves fraying.
“Hang in there, kid. Everything looks great. Don’t worry so much.” Robin snuck up on Leah, making her jump. “It’s a beautiful summer day, don’t forget to enjoy it.”
“I’m trying, Robin. It’s just so much.” Leah said, nervously playing with her sleeve. Robin noticed Elliott walking up and motioned him to help deal with the artist while she went to help Demetrius move a heavy wooden sculpture.
“Come on now, Leah. Too late to back out now.” Elliott grinned, thumping her back. “(Y/n) seems especially excited by how things are progressing.”
Leah chanced a glance at (Y/n) and Maru putting up paintings between signing each other excitedly. The scene warmed her heart and her shoulders relaxed a bit.
“Yeah, okay. I’ll try.”
“Great, now let’s go woo some tourists.” Elliott said, wiggling his eyebrows.
“What? Elliott, no!” Leah shook her head.
“Not like that,” Elliott laughed, “I know your heart belongs to someone else. I just meant,” he looks around before whispering in Leah’s ear, “woo them out of their money.”
Leah laughed and pushed Elliott away. “Alright, you focus on the wooing and I’ll focus on explaining my thought processes.”
“That doesn’t sound as fun, but okay, this is your day.”
As Elliot and Leah made their way across the square, an unwelcome guest watched them from afar. Their blood boiled as they saw Leah pause at the makeshift painting gallery to give the farmer’s hand an affectionate squeeze.
***
“I can’t believe we sold so many!” Leah spoke in ecstatic disbelief as she waved at the last car she and (Y/n) had just loaded a heavy wooden sculpture into before it drove away. “This is crazy!”
(Y/n) wore a smile that matched Leah’s, happy to watch the sculptor bouncing in place. When Leah finally stilled, still giddy, she took both of (Y/n)’s hands in hers. Once again free of the gloves, the hands were pleasantly soft against her own and she relished in the feeling.
“(Y/n) I know it’s kind of late, but I have something I want to give to you. I left it at my house so I’m going to go get it. I’ll meet you at the farm, is that alright?”
(Y/n) stared at Leah, her curiosity piqued. She nodded, easily giving Leah the answer she was hoping for.
“Great! I’ll be there soon!” With one last squeeze of the farmer’s hands, she was off. (Y/n) heard the crack of a twig, but when she turned to investigate, nothing stood out so she made her way back to her farm to wait for Leah.
When Leah came up to the porch, (Y/n) had to do a double take at the big wooden statue she was lugging along. With one last huff of air, Leah placed the statue at the base of the steps and grinned up at (Y/n), wiping a bit of sweat from her brow.
“Thanks for waiting. It was a little more ah, heavy, than I expected.” Leah laughed sheepishly. “Come take a look.”
(Y/n) stepped off the porch and circled the piece, taking in every detail. Leah felt nervous butterflies fluttering in her stomach while she watched the farmer scrutinize the work and cleared her throat.
“I started working on it in the spring. I also incorporated some of that driftwood you gave me a few weeks ago. Anyway, I made it with you in mind. It’s called, ‘How I Feel about (Y/n)’ and I’d be honored if you would accept it as a gift for everything you’ve done for me.” Leah stared at her feet as she spoke, too embarrassed to keep her eyes on (Y/n) while she spoke. Then a pair of boots joined, hands came up to clasp her own, pulling the conjoined grasp into her line of vision and coaxing her to look up into (Y/n)’s eyes.
“It’s wonderful.”
At that moment, Leah thought her heart must have been beating so hard that it was affecting her hearing.
“Hh... huh?” Leah asked, rather dumbly.
(Y/n) swallowed thickly, took a deep breath, and whispered, “It’s wonderful, Leah. Thank you.”
Leah looked absolutely awestruck, purple irises shone with excitement and she laughed, pulling (Y/n) into a tight embrace.
“I’m glad you like it.” Leah sniffled, resting her face in (Y/n)’s shoulder.
“Leah?” (Y/n) wrapped her arms around the artist, it was only one word, her name, but Leah heard the concern in the farmer’s tone.
“I’m okay. I’m just happy,” Leah sniffled again, “I’m happy you felt comfortable enough with me to speak to me.”
“Me too.” (Y/n) whispered, holding Leah tighter.
The pair found it difficult when they had to part ways for the night, but they were equally excited over how their relationship was developing, looking forward to spending more time together over the summer.
***
“Come on, just a little further...” Leah coached herself. She was reaching for a piece of fruit hanging from a branch just out of her reach.
She had planned a picnic with (Y/n) for this afternoon. She had already set up under the big old tree near the pond and as she waited for (Y/n) to finish up with her crops and animals for the morning, when she spotted the unusual fruit. Now she was jumping and stretching for the fruit just out of reach.
“Almost— Ah!” Leah struggled to balance herself in the air, swiveling her head to peak over her shoulder, she saw (Y/n) looking up at her with a mischievous grin. Leah rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at the side of her lips. She turned back to the task at hand and grabbed the fruit, motioning (Y/n) to put her back down.
“Show off.” Leah scoffed, lightly punching (Y/n)’s shoulder. “You wanna try a bite?”
“Yes, please.” (Y/n)’s cheeks heated when Leah pressed the fruit to her lips. She took a bite of the offering, savoring the taste. “It’s so sweet.” She said, amazed.
“Right?” Leah smiled, “It’s rare to get fruit from this tree. Usually all the animals snap it all up as soon as they’re ripe, but it seems they miss some from time to time. How is everything with the farm this morning?”
“All is well,” (Y/n) nodded as the pair made themselves comfortable on the blanket Leah had set up, “I would have been here sooner but the goats kept standing in front of my cheese and mayo machines, the chicken coup too. Made it a little difficult.” (Y/n) disclosed. “Which reminds me,” she rummaged through her bag, “goat cheese salads.”
“Mmm, this looks heavenly. Thank you for making these.” Leah said, eagerly stirring in some vinaigrette into the generous fresh salad.
“No problem. Selling my harvest is nice, but it feels so much more rewarding enjoying it like this.” (Y/n) informed, mixing her own salad.
“I can imagine,” Leah hummed and leaned her back fully against the trunk of the tree, “Ah, it’s such a lovely day for this.”
“Mhmm.”
They ate the rest of their meal in peaceful silence, listening to the birds sing and the fish leap, the breeze rustling the trees and grass around them. It was tranquil, it was perfect.
“Hey, Leah,” (Y/n) spoke, breaking the silence.
“Yes?” Leah asked, turning her gaze away from the sketch pad she had brought out.
“It’s almost Fall you know, we’ve known each other for nearly two whole seasons. Half a year, it’s crazy, right?”
“Yeah, it doesn’t seem like it’s been that long, doesn’t it?” Leah giggled, “What made you think of that?”
“Well, I wanted to ask you something. Don’t feel like you have to answer one way or the other, but...” (Y/n) paused, trying to gather her thoughts.
“Hey, it’s okay (Y/n). You can tell me anything. Sign it out if you want to.”
“No, it’s okay. I’m just nervous,” (Y/n) turned to her bag and pulled out a lovely bouquet of flowers, “Leah, would you maybe consider being my girlfriend?“
“Yes!” Leah enveloped (Y/n) in a tackle like hug that sent them both to fully meet the ground, accidentally crushing the flowers between their bodies, “Oops, sorry,” Leah wiggled the flowers out from under her to look at them more closely, “these are lovely, (Y/n). I didn’t know Pierre had these in yet.”
“He didn’t, I planted them.” (Y/n) clarified, smiling up at Leah who still hovered over her, giggling.
“Of course you did, you’re so sweet.”
“I try.”
“Are you kidding me!”
Leah and (Y/n) quickly turned to face the disturbance, scrambling to sit up from their compromising position. Leah felt her stomach twist with discomfort seeing Kel of all people marching up to them, absolutely fuming.
“Seriously, what the hell, Leah?” Kel yelled, their hands clenched into tight fists as they closed in, making yard after yard disappear between them.
“No, more like what the hell, Kel? I broke up with you seasons ago. What are you even doing in Pelican Town?” Leah retorted angrily, as (Y/n) helped her to her feet. Kel watched the motion and ground their teeth.
They were already dangerously close to crossing the threshold of the blanket and that small display was enough to send them stomping over the edge.
“I came for you, obviously! I’ve been slumming it in that dusty old saloon since your art show, waiting to talk to you! Now I find you sucking face with some country bumpkin nobody!” They seethed, stepping even closer into Leah’s personal space until (Y/n) pulled Leah back behind her, making Kel even more incensed. “You stay out of this. I’m talking to Leah!”
(Y/n) held strong, stuck between the harsh obscenities attacking her from the front and the loving affirmations defending her from behind. She held her arm out, willing Kel to stay back as she slowly started to guide Leah back in the direction of town for help. Kel ignored the warning and followed after them.
“Don’t you have anything to say for yourself? You think you’re being some kind of hero right now?” Kel seethed.
(Y/n) stayed silent, she had gone mute again and who would blame her in the face of such a tense situation? She was so very uncomfortable, scared even, but she continued on passed Marnie’s since she knew the woman wasn’t home at this time and she sure wasn’t going to expose Jas to this. Jodi’s house was their next best bet.
“Hey, you obviously want to start something here. You’ve got something to say to me?” Kel continued forward.
“Kel, leave us alone!” Leah commanded, “It’s over, it’s been over, go home!”
“You think you’re too good to talk to me?” Kel yelled, ignoring Leah. “She’s just a whore. She just latched onto the first warm body she could find after her little meltdown. You’re not special.”
(Y/n) froze stiffly in place, Leah felt the muscles on her shoulders tense so she tried to pull on her arm to keep her moving.
“Ignore them, (Y/n). Let’s focus on getting to town, okay?” Leah pleaded. But (Y/n) gently pushed off Leah’s hands and took a step towards Kel with a cold glare. Leah stepped to stand beside (Y/n)’s side, nervous that a more serious confrontation was about to unfold.
“Well?” Kel spat.
(Y/n) crossed her arms, turning her head to look at Leah. The look on her face was all the communication Leah needed to understand. It was definitely a, ‘they better back off or I’m going to knock them off their block’ face. Leah had never known (Y/n) to be particularly violent, but with all the time she spent in the mines, she had no doubt that she could take care of herself.
Leah gasped when Kel suddenly roared, lunging forward. Apparently they had not liked how (Y/n) and Leah had been paying attention to each other rather than themself. Kel had rocketed forward and aimed to punch (Y/n) hard over her cheek, however, at the last moment, Leah pushed her aside and took the blow for her.
(Y/n) inhaled sharply and caught Leah as she stumbled back, noticing how blood immediately began gushing from Leah’s now broken nose.
“Ow- AH!” Leah cried, her hands muffled her voice since she had covered her nose and mouth.
It only took a second for (Y/n) to return the favor to Kel’s stunned face. She punched them fast and hard over their cheek, but Kel was quick to fight back and now it was a full out brawl.
“What’s going on, we heard yelling— holy shit!”
Leah turned away from the fight to see Sam, Seb, and Abigail running up on the scene.
“(Y/n)’s throwing hands!” Abigail yelled, sounding way more excited than worried.
“Leah are you okay? What’s going on?” Sebastian asked, noting the concerning amount of blood running down Leah’s arms and the front of her shirt.
“Don’t worry about me, stop them!” Leah winced, taking one hand away from her face to motion to her ex and her new girlfriend still going at each other.
“Damn, Abi! Go get your dad and Harvey too by the looks of it!” Sam yelled, he seemed to be looking for an opening to push the fighters apart.
“Are you kidding? You get my dad, I’m getting in on this!” Abigail cheered and ran up to jump on Kel’s back like she was at a rodeo while (Y/n) landed a good hit on Kel’s stomach. “Nice punch, (Y/n)!”
“Oh Yoba, Sam, start running.” Seb suggested, trying to help Leah with her nose. He was no Maru, but even he knew how to set a broken nose. Especially within the first couple weeks of Sam taking up skateboarding.
“Right!” Sam ran off back into town screaming. A few tense minutes later and Pierre, Caroline, Robin, Elliott, Maru and Harvey came running behind Sam to break up the fight.
“Abigail, stop!” Pierre huffed, pulling off his daughter and passing her off to his wife, “I taught you what I did to defend yourself, not to lash out like a wild animal!” He grunted, pulling Kel into his grasp and trapping their arms behind their back with Elliott coming up to assist.
“Come on dad, I was helping a friend! What’s the big deal?” Abi groaned, while her mom fretted over her, looking for injuries.
“Easy there kid, it’s over.” Robin coaxed (Y/n), pulling her back. The farmer slumped over in the carpenter’s hold, breathing heavily.
“Is (Y/n) okay? Ah!” Leah hissed as Harvey touched up her nose, giving her a nasal spray before wedging a couple wads of tissue up her nostrils.
“Sorry, Leah.” Harvey sympathized, “Maru is going to check up on her now.”
“What about me?” Kel hissed. Pierre had them resting on their knees. They looked really roughed up. A black eye was already forming and scratches and bruises littered their skin, they were also holding their stomach rather tightly.
“You’ll just have to wait a minute.” Elliott frowned, staring down at the stranger with contempt.
“Don’t you have any police officers in this backwater town? I’ll sue every one of you for withholding care to someone who is obviously hurt!” Kel threatened, grinding their teeth.
“Oh, the police are coming alright!”  Caroline spoke indignantly. “You are in no position to be asking for anything right now, bringing violence to our community, you should be ashamed!”
“(Y/n) can you look up for me, please.” Maru asked, carefully tilting (Y/n)’s chin up. (Y/n) sucked in a breath when Maru touched her bruised jaw a tad to hard. “Sorry, Your jaw is bruised pretty badly. Your bottom lip split too. How is your vision?”
(Y/n) shook her head and winced, cradling her head in her hands.
“Okay, possible concussion. We’ll need to observe her at the clinic.” Maru said.
“Alright, come on bruiser,” Robin grunted, heaving (Y/n) to her feet, “Sebbie, help me walk her into town please.”
“Sure mom.” Seb took (Y/n)’s other side.
(Y/n) patted Robin’s arm, motioning her to wait. She slowly turned to Kel and leaned more heavily against Seb as she freed her other arm from Robin to snap her fingers aggressively, looking for Kel’s attention. Once Kel looked up at her, sneering from their spot in the dirt, (Y/n) turned briefly to make sure Leah was watching. When she saw that she was, she smiled as if to say, ‘watch this,’ and turned back to Kel. (Y/n) brought her flat, angled hand below her chin and sent it forward in the direction of Kel’s confused, but no less, pissed face.
“Oh ho! (Y/n) is such a badass!” Abigail laughed.
“Abi, since when do you know sign language?” Sam asked, clearly confused.
“I don’t, but I’ve spent enough time searching curses in different languages to know that was totally a ‘fuck you’. Personally I think a middle finger approach would have been an appropriate classic myself but whatever.” Abigail shrugged.
“Abigail, language!” Caroline scolded.
“Sorry mom.”
“Alright, you’ve had your fun. Clinic, now.” Robin tried to hold in a laugh as she repositioned (Y/n)’s arm over her shoulder. Then she and Seb began walking (Y/n) back into town.
Leah made to follow, but as they were leaving, the police from the the next town over had arrived and they needed her statements as a witness. Never mind that she was covered in her own blood and her girlfriend was being dragged away to the clinic with a concussion. Once the officers were satisfied, they took Kel away with promises to be back for (Y/n)’s statement and to see if any charges would be made. For now they were just going to take Kel back to a hospital in Zuzu City since they may have broken a rib or two in the fight. After that, they were going to be free to go.
Leah wasn’t too worried. She didn’t think Kel would come back after the beating (Y/n) and Abigail gave them. She watched the police car drive out of Cindersaps, taking her disgruntled ex away.
“Leah, I’m sure you want to get to the clinic but you should really clean up first.” Caroline had said patting the younger woman’s back. “(Y/n) will be fine.”
“Yeah, Harvey and Maru got her. Take some time to process.” Elliott smiled.
Leah could only nod tiredly. She trudged over to her cottage to shower and change. She still couldn’t believe how quickly things got out of hand. She looked at her bandaged nose in the mirror, hissing when she gingerly touched the bridge of it. She was wary of Seb setting it himself, but Harvey said he had gone a great job. Once she was physically put back together, Leah quickly made her way to the clinic.
“Where is she?” She asked immediately upon arriving. She sounded a little congested thanks to her clogged nose, but she was easily understood. Robin was still in the waiting room and filled her in.
“Harvey and Maru are talking her through concussion care. She’s okay, but I don’t think she’ll be allowed to work for awhile.”
“Oh no,” Leah sat down, resting her elbows on her knees and covered her eyes with her hands, “This is all my fault.”
“Aw, don’t say that sweetheart. You know that’s not true.” Robin frowned, taking a seat beside her, “(Y/n) would hate to hear you think like that.”
“(Y/n) loves her farm! If she can’t maintain the upkeep...” Leah continued, teary eyed, only to be silenced by Robin.
“I’m going to stop you right there. Nothing is going to happen to the farm. Abi, Sam, and even Seb already told (Y/n) in no uncertain terms that they were going to pitch in while she recovers. Everything is going to be taken care of.” Robin assured.
“Still none of this would have happened if-“
“If you hadn’t broken up with your ex? Moved to Pelican Town? Got a crush? Leah, you can’t punish yourself for moving on with your life. You’re allowed to be happy.” Robin chided gently. “It was hard for me and Sebastian’s father to see eye to eye at the best of times. Now I have Demetrius and although he can be a bit annoying sometimes with his tomato bullshit, not a day goes by that I’m not grateful I took that first step because I love him.” Robin smiled.
Leah’s nose hurt like hell as she tried to carefully wipe the tears from her eyes and Robin rubbed her back affectionately. Once Leah had calmed down, Robin stood and stretched.
“She’s been wondering where you are. The doc is keeping her for overnight observation, but your welcome to stay with her. I on the other hand, am apparently too old for this much excitement and need to go home.”
“Thank you Robin, for talking to me.”
“Anytime,” Robin grinned, “now go get her.”
Leah made her way into the back area of the clinic and nearly ran up to Harvey, Maru, and (Y/n). (Y/n) was signing to Maru while she relayed the information to Harvey as he examined (Y/n)’s well being.
(Y/n) was relieved to see Leah and eagerly motioned her to come sit on the edge of the bed she was sitting in which Leah did happily.
“Leah, how’s the nose?” Harvey asked while he finished up (Y/n)’s chart.
“It’s fine. Just, really sore and tingly.”
“So not fine.” Maru chuckled. “I’ll get you some pain meds.”
“Ah, thanks Maru.” Leah smiled sheepishly.
“Well, Ms. (Y/n),” Harvey sighed, turning his attention back to the farmer, “you and I are in for a long night. I’ll be waking you up every hour to check your pupils to see if your condition changes at all.” Harvey stood and stretched, “Ms. Leah, feel welcome to stay as long as you like. It can’t hurt to keep an extra pair of eyes on her.”
“I could stay overtime, Harvey.” Maru said as she came back with two pills and a glass of water for Leah.
“I seem to recall you talking about a time sensitive experiment this morning.” Harvey recalled, making Maru smack the side of her head. “You’re right! I got to go now! Good night everyone!” Maru called behind her as she rushed out to the waiting room then out of the building.
“I’m going to take the first of my many naps lined up for tonight. I’ll see you ladies in about an hour. Try to get some rest.” Harvey said before leaving to walk up the stairs to his apartment.
Finally Leah and (Y/n) were alone again. (Y/n) sunk down into the covers and sighed deeply. She turned to face Leah, concerning the sculptor by how small she looked.
“You’re not too upset with me, are you?” (Y/n) asked, surprising Leah.
“I’m not upset with you. Why would I be upset with you?”
“I just beat the crap out a person. Sure they are your ex, but you cared about them at some point so it must have been hard to watch. I can’t imagine what you must think of me now.” (Y/n) whispered, she was so quiet Leah had to lean closer and even then she was straining to hear.
“(Y/n), I like you. Nothing that happened today changed how much I like you. It certainly didn’t make me like you any less,” Leah rested her hand over (Y/n)’s cheek, “Kel made their choice when they decided to come to Pelican Town and confront us. I wish it hadn’t gone down the way it did, but that’s not our fault. I’m just glad you’re okay.”
“I’m glad you’re okay too. I was worried.”
“I wish we could start this day all over,” Leah moaned, “First day as official girlfriends and we get into a fist fight.”
(Y/n) laughed lightly, closing her eyes to combat the pain that came from her jostling. “Abigail thought it was a pretty great date activity.”
“She would think that.” Leah rolled her eyes, “she also eats rocks.”
“Well, think about it this way. Until I’m allowed to take up all my farming duties again, you can do whatever you want with me.”
“Whatever I want, hmm?” Leah tapped her lips with her index finger, “would it be to forward if me to ask for a kiss?”
“You may, just be careful with my split lip. I won’t be able to explain what happened to Harvey if you make it worse.” (Y/n) said.
“One gentle kiss, coming right up.” Leah wiggled on the bed’s stiff hospital sheets until she laid face to face with (Y/n). Their lips met in a soft brushing that was almost ghost like, but rather than leaving them with a chill, warmth bloomed between them.
“Wow.” (Y/n) grinned.
“If you thought that was good, wait until I can get more involved with it.”
“So confident. I like it.” (Y/n) squinted, “could you turn the light off? It’s really starting to hurt my eyes.”
“Of course.” Leah got up and switched off the half the lights to keep their side of the room in darkness but allow Harvey to still be able to see when he came back.
“Now come cuddle, please.” (Y/n) asked sleepily reaching her arms out.
“Nothing would make me happier.”
Leah kicked off her boots and shimmied under the sheets to join (Y/n) and wrapped her arms around her. Leah let the exhaustion of the day roll over her and she had nearly let sleep claim her before her eyes shot open and she propped herself up on her elbow to lean over (Y/n).
“Did I really sign a ‘fuck you’ when we first met?!” She asked, appalled.
(Y/n)’s response was to laugh sleepily into Leah’s chest.

I have a request.if marinette is Jon's twin sister and has no power. Marinette contact justice league for help but she end up being reveal her identity to justice league because jon and Clark knows her and can you make it daminette story
Tale of the Girl Kent
One evening years ago, twin cries could be heard in Metropolis. These cries belong to Jonathan Samuel Kent and Marinette Martha Ella Kent, newborn children of Lois Lane and Clark Kent. They grew up together for quite some time, and people around them could swear they never saw one without the other.
Ever since a young age, Jonathan, or Jon as people call him, discovered that he had inherited his father's superpowers. Flight, super hearing, super speed, heat vision, x-ray vision, and etc. Marinette on the other hand doesn't have these superhuman abilities. She does, however, have an incredibly sharp eye for detail, astonishing creativity, unimaginable problem-solving skills, and an IQ that is already considered a genius, 184. Even though she was born without mystical abilities, Marinette never felt jealous of her twin. Howbeit because of this, her father decided not to tell the rest of the league, short of Batman and Wonder Woman.
When the twins turned nine, Lois and Clark felt like they were neglecting their little girl, focusing more on teaching Jon how to handle his powers. Marinette didn't mind and she had told them this repeatedly.  But then again, they're parents, they're supposed to worry. As a result, they decided to reach out to Lois' old college friend and roommate, Nadja Chamack. They told her of their dilemma and asked if she knew anyone who could and would take care of their daughter. Nadja mentioned a married couple whom she has known since high school. She said that they had wanted a child but the doctor said they couldn't have one. Of course, Nadja also mentioned that the couple were really kind people, they would never take their place as parents. They would, however, be pleased to be their daughter's guardian.
And that's what happened. Marinette flew to Paris the next week to live with her new guardians, leaving a teary eyed father and brother behind, not like they would admit it. She soon found her guardians' names are Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng. She could've sworn she stared at the sun when they picked her up.
As time went by, Marinette got very comfortable with the Dupain-Chengs to the point she slipped and called them maman and papa. She told her biological parents about this and they were glad she felt safe enough to call them that. Both didn't have anything against Tom and Sabine because of that and Marinette was really glad.
Let's jump to when she turns 13. She finds a mysterious box on her desk and opens it. When a flying creature flew out of it, Marinette wasn't really surprised. She had seen weirder things. Then the creature, who she found out was named Tikki, started explaining that she was chosen to be a hero to save Paris. "Figures that I'm made to join the family business," she said. Tikki just blinked, "What do you me-" she was cut off by a shout. "Kim!" a voice roared. "You can explain this to me later, right now just say spots on," Tikki said.
Once the 'akuma' was handled, Marinette told Tikki of her biological family. "Hey Tikki?" "Yeah?" "Do you think I should call the Justice League? Not to ask them for help, more like... Tell them of they are going to Paris to keep their emotions in control? I don't think I can defeat my dad or my brother." "That's a great idea Marinette! Although I suggest that you ask Chat Noir for his opinion first." And here she is now on the Eiffel Tower with Chat, trying to call the League.
Ironically, Superman answered. "Hello, this is the Justice League. How may we help you." "Hello, my name is Ladybug and this is Chat Noir," it felt so weird using formal talk with her dad, "We wanted to inform you of Paris' new situation as of yesterday." At the word Paris, Superman's froze, Mari lives there. "A supervillain has appeared and it turns people into villains to do the dirty work. It appears that the supervillain transforms them if someone has a negative emotion. Hawkmoth, the supervillain, and us get our powers from the miraculi," Ladybug continued knowing that her dad knows about the miraculi. "We came to ask if any of you were to come to Paris make sure that your emotions are under control," Chat said, "We don't need to fight any of you."
"I can accept that, I have heard of the miraculi and it seems reasonable," Superman said, "If I'm correct, any damage should be reversed. No civilians should be hurt, am I right?" "Figures he'd be worried about me," Ladybug mumbled forgetting that her dad had super hearing and pieced everything together. "My cupcake?" he asked. Ladybug's eyes widened before she started laughing, "Damn it, forgot you had super hearing." Superman grinned, "Looks like you're in the family business anyway huh?" "Seems like it."
Chat stood on the side wondering why are the two so comfortable with each other. "Guess I owe you an explanation huh Chat?" Ladybug said, "Superman here, is my biological father and the current Superboy is my twin brother. Unlike him, I didn't inherit dad's powers." Meanwhile, on the other side of the line, Clark called for his son and told him the news. "Hiya sis!" "Hiya little brother!" "You're only older by 5 minutes!" "I'm still older!" Chat laughed at their banter, "I can see that now."
"Just hold on a minute, I can register your partner and change your name and you can zeta on over to discuss this more," Superman said, "Also, I missed you." "I miss you too." Once Superman gave them the okay, Ladybug disconnected the phone and dragged Chat over to the zeta platform (I have little knowledge of this so feel free to correct me) They ended up at the Watchtower and Ladybug hurriedly ran to her father and brother giving them a big hug. "Superman have you seen-" Wonder Woman stopped when she saw Ladybug hugging her colleague. She ran out of the room to grab someone to make sure she wasn't hallucinating, that person happened to be Batman, and wherever Batman goes, 16 year old Robin follows.
"You are seeing this too right? That's his daughter right?" Wonder Woman asked. "Yes I am, and most likely." Meanwhile, Robin was just confused, who was this girl and... Is that a knockoff Catwoman? But since Batman appeared not to think of her as a threat he let it slide, that is until their eyes met. His heart skipped a beat. Her eyes are so beautiful. Superboy heard Robin's heartbeat picking up and smirked because it wasn't only Robin's heart, but also his sisters. Both speeding up but still somehow in sync. They are going to date each other if it's the last thing I do.
