Remus blushed after what he had just confessed. He felt like an idiot now. But back then, when he was ten years old, before his transition and all the fucked up shit in his life, Remus used to be a hopeless romantic. And Sirius had fascinated him.

"He still owns my heart" Remus confessed. It was the truth. Hard and clear.

Lily sighed as if she was hearing the most beautiful love story. It was nothing beautiful. It was torture.

"But in a different way" Remus added "Sometimes I really want to strangle him" he chuckled.

Lily stared at him with those emerald eyes. Her eyes flickered towards the spot where Sirius was laughing on the couch with Alecto Carrow. She was sitting too close to him. Showing him something on her phone. Remus didn't want to look.

"But he doesn't feel the same, obviously" Remus sighed as well "I am his best friend and a boy. And we know he is into girls"

"Many girls for my liking" Lily rolled her eyes, then gave Remus a pitiful smile "What are you going to do?"

Remus shrugged "Probably forget about him" he said "Don't worry about it, Lils. I'll be fine... "

Lily hugged him and kissed his head gently. "You deserve better, Remus"

What they didn't know was that Sirius was openly staring at Remus. Confused by his feelings and how much he had been thinking about him lately. Definitely not like a friend would.

"What about him?... Sirius!" Alecto elbowed him.

Sirius moved his eyes to Alecto's phone where there was a picture of a shirtless bloke. A very attractive one. Sirius’s eyes stared and stared at the torso of that man.

"I know he looks bold, but I do really have a type... I mean I used to fancy you" Alecto giggled.

But Sirius kept staring at the picture. What if he liked this? If he liked Remus would it mean he would like every sexy bloke? Would that make him gay?

Sirius swallowed.

"Sirius!" Alecto exclaimed "What do you think?"

Sirius was kind of panicking.

"I know what you are thinking" Alecto snorted "I should not find such handsome bloke or otherwise you'll get jealous..." she smiled.

Sirius faked a smile.

"Please... No one like me" he winked making the girl laugh.

But in the corner of his eye, he spotted Remus again.

I just hate how toxic Wolfstar shippers are hating on Tonks/remadora and they made Tonks a baby machine + lesbian to act as if they care about her when it’s very misogynistic of them. They hate on her just because remus fell for her and she fell for him. The fandom can’t let us have 1 remadora post and every time I go through the remadora tags, I keep on seeing stuff like Wolfstar “remus never loved Tonks” “she forced him into a relationship” “he was too old for her” “remus only married her because she could morph into Sirius”

I had enough of toxic marauders/wolfstar fans literally not letting us have fun with our ship by commenting stuff like “remus and sirius are together” “remus and Tonks are 2 queer characters who married each other just for fun” “wolfstar is canon” etc etc to the point I had to filter tags!

The marauders fandom had gone too far that if you state your opinion which contradicts theirs, they will send you death threats and give you the most illogical arguments

YESTERDAY (based on the movie, but wolfstar, because I'm me.)

Chapter 4

The leather instrument case is smooth, dark brown and far too genuine looking to be affordable. Sirius in a nutshell: splashing his substantial inheritance about on people who don't deserve it. 

Remus can feel Sirius’s eyes on him, silly, because of course he's watching, they're all watching, that's the whole point. 

But as he unclips the case, Remus’s fingers tremble just for a moment and he knows that Sirius will have registered it, he would have seen his uncertainty. His doubts. 

Just as he opens the case and gets a glimpse of the beautiful guitar nestled inside, a loud laugh rings across the pub garden and Remus feels like it snaps him out of a trance. Like it saves him from all the ridiculous feelings this gift is sending swirling inside him.

It's Dorcas, coming to join them, laughing as she crosses the patch of grass and cobblestones, carrying a pint with a straw in it. 

She slurps her lager through the straw and waves, and Sirius mutters fondly, “Oh, hell.” 

“She's sleeping on our couch,” James admits. “Lost her band gig. Lily offered.”

“You'll regret that.” Sirius starts to laugh.

You had mentioned a while back that you had a few notes on TT wolfstar during the canon HP storyline (maybe I’m hallucinating that)? Would you mind sharing them?

Do you mean pre or post war? I’ve been asked about the backstory for the series and also how it would continue in relation to canon. In a nutshell, I said everything upto James’ death would be the same (except, y’know, with the addition of omegaverse stuff) but the timeline would diverge upon Sirius being exonerated instead of being sent to Azkaban. I reference the year following his exoneration a few times in the series, but I never get into it explicitly, since I wanted the tone of the series to be kinda light and wholesome (aka: self-indulgent). It was basically a horrible angsty mess that neither of the boys like to remember too often, wherein they had to simultaneously grieve and process their trauma/learn to trust one another again for the sake of Harry.

Looking forwards, I also see it generally following the plot of the books, though of course there would be a major change in the timeline when we got to the third. I also think the simple fact Harry has an involved family who loves him would drastically affect things in lots of ways. I’d even go as far as to say Harry wouldn’t be the same character he was in the books. Being raised by Wolfstar, I see him turning out more like James. I don’t think Sirius would die either— or at least he definitely wouldn’t under the book circumstances, since his active presence in Harry’s life (and the fact Sirius would rather rip his own balls off than live at Grimmauld if he doesn’t have to) would render it kind of impossible for Voldy’s/Kreacher’s DoM manipulation to happen.

Ooh fanon Sirius aka my Roman Empire.

Look I’ve said before that I’m not the fandom police, nor do I want to stifle people’s creativity, but fanon Sirius drives me up the wall.

However, being able to extrapolate from a text is a reading comprehension skill that everyone who engages with media in a creative or critical way needs to develop, and character study provides a means to this.

Within canon, there’s so much material to work with and he has some clearly defined traits and somethings that are up for interpretation, so why has fandom invented this different (and worse) character.

Canon Sirius would hate fanon Sirius, that is how divorced they are from each other. And I can’t count the amount of times i’ve noped out of things because fanon Sirius is shrieking about his hair being out of place ( whereas canon Sirius is wearing tattered robes with matted hair for 90% of canon) or he can’t reach things on high shelves (when he’s frequently described as tall and is also a wizard who can summon shit).

The flattening of his character also feels lazy and reliant on hackneyed tropes . It is possible for a good looking person to be clever (it is not either/or). And it is possible for someone to be incredibly loyal, but also casually cruel, outwardly arrogant but also deeply insecure- good character writing is about these multitudes.

Additionally, within fanon, there’s no variety in who he’s shipped with or how his romantic life (or lack there of) is interpreted and it starts to give cult vibes.

Reading this again, I may have come as a tad bit more offensive, but just to clarify, I don’t hate Regulus Black.

He can be made into a layered character from the existing canon points, but currently, with all the OC traits added to him, he comes up as a twinkified Severus-ish character, because the fandom largely work in pretty privilege (the toxic ones, of course, I’d go out on a limb and associate the TikTok part of those) and want someone who has been mentioned as conventionally attractive to be a “good guy”.

Severus, yes he was a bully, yes he was a death eater sympathiser for a good formative parts of his life, despite that, he was indeed the one who made one of the most sacrifices to help win the war.

Before you lot come at me, I’m not saying that he wasn’t bad, I’m just saying that it does not take away what he did help in.

And the fandom absolutely loves to associate those things to canon Regulus Black. It’s the character trait thievery that I hate, and they do that more often than I can count. When those traits which are canonically other characters’ come on my dash, I want to scream.

So here I am.

Regulus is a more palatable Severus Snape.

Evan Rosier is either Draco Malfoy or Scorpius Malfoy depending on the fic.

Barty Crouch Jr. is Albus Severus Potter. Dorcas Meadowes is Andromeda Black (at least in the stuff l've seen).

Pandora Rosier/Lestrange/whatever is Astoria Greengrass.

It's essentially taking the traits they like from the other Slytherin characters and making a bunch of OC's that largely defy the canon we do have for those characters, with the purpose of creating a group of palatable Slytherins because these are the characters they most relate to.

Yes, this. And my question is, WHY? These traits are already of existing canon characters, if you want to give them traits, MAKE YOUR OWN. DO NOT STEAL OTHER CHARACTERS’ PERSONALITY.

Cross tagging is so fucked up, because be for real right now, this isn’t TikTok or Instagram. Tumblr is a site with lots of different fandom, you can’t just add an entirely different tag for a post that is something on the other end of the spectrum. Tumblr is meant for organisation and sorting posts to your liking, and hardcore shippers and fans make it exceedingly hard.

As said above, in the previous reblog, major characters who had mentions more than other “Slytherin Skittles” and single mention characters, like Alice Longbottom, Frank Longbottom, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Nymphadora Tonks, even Andromeda Black, are ignored for other problematic characters.

Marauder fandoms loves to talk about how we are generalising them into being a toxic group, but please, the way they torch us for shipping Jily or Snily, heck even, Prongsfoot (because apparently shipping anything apart from Wolfstar is a crime) screams hypocrisy. They love to call Snape Stans apologists when most of them are not even ignoring his behaviours. They accept that Severus has done problematic and questionable shit. Meanwhile most of the Marauder Stans can’t even come up to accept their faves’ behaviour. (When was the last time a marauder stan accepted that James, Sirius, and by extension of ignorance, Remus and Peter were bullies? When was the last time they did not gaslight Snape Stans and say that it was just teasing?)

Some fans ship Bellatrix and Alice, Tomarry, Barty Crouch Jr with his victims and point fingers at us for shipping problematic ships. Like, be so for real right now, Snily cannot be more toxic or problematic than Bellatrix and Alice.

In a nutshell, the marauders fandom and by extension, Slytherin skittles fandom had so much potential to be a good and inclusive fandom if they did not operate on hypocrisy, torching other fans for their ships, weird tagging habits, making totally unrelated shit their ‘canon’ and pissing on others who did not go by that, and stole other characters’ identities and traits.

But they’re not.

Initially, I was very indifferent to Regulus Black, but with all the unnecessary bit of information which is not even canon that gets shoved down my throat every time I’m on Pinterest or Tumblr EVEN WHEN I DONT FOLLOW A MARAUDER TAG OR REGULUS BLACK’S TAG, is making me hate that dude.

You take a man with like one phrase in the books, give him a bunch of traits which are stolen atp from Severus Snape and Sirius Black, romanticise it, wrap it in a shiny package as James Potter’s boytoy and present him as a feminist queer people’s ally who hated Voldemort, when the dude literally had a shrine dedicated to Voldemort and joined him willingly until his house elf’s life was on the line.

Y’all are making OCs at this rate and calling him “SlYthERiN’S hErO” “HaRrY sHouLD’vE nAMeD hIS sOn aFtER hIM” bro stfu Harry didn’t know about Regulus’s existence until Sirius told him that he had a brother, and didn’t think of him after the first horcrux was destroyed.

Which pairing do you like better- Wolfstar or Drarry?

Dear nonnie, this is a very tricky question! You are putting me in a very hard position 😅🙈

I will do my best to explain the inner contents of my heart:

Wolfstar is canon in my head and heart. And it is the ship that brings me most joy to write. The opportunity of giving them a longer life, a love story, a different ending, or exploring their teenage-hood and young adult years gives me such a burst of happiness. I think both, Sirius and Remus, always had such sad and miserable lives (Sirius having his youth stolen in years imprisoned in Azkaban with happiness sucking dementors, and, before that, needing to run away from his very toxic and bigoted family. And Remus, the poor thing, always living in the vulnerable borders/margins of society due to his werewolf condition, having lost all his friends and thinking that Sirius betrayed the Marauders) so, I honestly think they have a very fertile background for so much exploration and so much depth and angst, and so much need for AU fics that give them a different ending, a hopeful one, a fulfilling one.

In conclusion, Sirius/Remus touches me in a deeper, more painful level, and it also sufuses me with a crazy, drunk excitement when they are having a happy life -- mainly when I get to read or write them raising Harry, honest to God, I literally cry like a baby.

(Though I'm a picky Wolfstar reader.)

Drarry is my guilty pleasure. I bloody love them, throw me any plot, anything at all, and I'll eat it up like ice cream. I'm not a picky reader and I love when the characters are used and transformed by Drarry authors. It mesmerises me to see the creativity and development authors do in Drarry fics. I love how they are young and even though having gone through a major horrible war, there's always space for light and redemption and falling in love.

Though I don't see Drarry as canon, they are my favorite ship to read. But I have a lot of difficulties writing them. I dunno why. It comes harder to me... and that's what I enjoyed the most while writing Dragons Don't Know Paradise, because even though Drarry was the main ship and the characters I was focusing on developing a love story, there was also space to explore wolfstar as a side ship and their relationship as Harry's gaydads. 🥰🌈

In a nutshell, Wolfstar is my soul-canon, and I love writing it. But Drarry is my favourite OTP to read!
