i’ve just finished reading grayson and the amount of sexual comments made about him and his ass is actually making me sick. grayson is amazing but i can’t get past all the other characters doing shit like naming his ass cheeks and picking favourites
this is a character that was sexually abused/assaulted (more than once) and yet writers still sexualise him
and then fans have the audacity to continue that sexualisation to extreme levels. we’re not talking about calling him hot, this is about removing every bit of characterisation and effectively making him a walking sex doll
i’m new to the batman/batfam fandom, through the pipeline of ao3 -> wfa -> comics but it’s so gross to see how people treat him (and every bat bc they are all forgotten/twisted/ruined)
i know it’s a minority of the fandom, i know most of us are decent people who can go ‘dick grayson is hot’ and move on because there is so much more to his character, same with all the bats, but this minority that go all over the internet, with edits on tiktok which do insanely well (especially when it’s from Titans so it’s all live action, and they are sexualising both the character and the actor) and just the comments people leave
i just-
fictional characters still deserve respect bc one day it won’t be someone fictional

Nanda Parbat in 30 Seconds
I know Nanda Parbat gets used as a League of Assassins base a lot in fan media, likely because that was how it was depicted in Arrow. But I wanted to take a second and try to impress upon you how cool Nanda Parbat is without having anything to do with Ra's al Ghul (because it usually doesn't)
What is Nanda Parbat?
Nanda Parbat is a fictional city sequestered up somewhere in the Himalayas. It's hard to tell exactly where, because the whole premise of Nanda Parbat is that it's a magic hidden city.
Tumblr media
You can't just walk there; individuals must embark on a pilgrimage to actually get there. Nanda Parbat is as much an idea as it is a real location-- when you seek Nanda Parbat, you are looking for spiritual development and revelation.
It's suggested that only those with good intentions can find the city on their own. However, there are maps to the city, which can allow those with evil intent into Nanda Parbat. The map isn't your typical piece of paper, though. It's split into components such as a birthmark, or a poem.
Once you're in Nanda Parbat, time stands still. The city is eternally at peace. Disease does not progress, and people do not die. You are the only thing that changes, transformed by your time in the unchanging city.
Who's In Nanda Parbat?
The big name in Nanda Parbat is Rama Kushna, the goddess who inhabits the temple.
Tumblr media
When people go to Nanda Parbat on their quest for enlightenment, sometimes they find it on their own, and sometimes they have some help from Rama Kushna. She does your typical goddess stuff, such as guiding the hand of virtuous fighters and offering wisdom.
Rama Kushna is also the one who made Boston Brand into Deadman, after he was murdered. The two have a whole history, but that's its own thing.
The rest of Nanda Parbat's population are the monks who reside around the temple. They meditate and reflect on the meaning of everything and guard the Fountain of Youth.
Wait, the Fountain of Youth?
Yes, the Fountain of Youth is a thing in DC Comics. It played a big part in the crossover event The Resurrection of Ra's al Ghul. Long story short, Ra's al Ghul died and couldn't be revived in a Lazarus Pit, so his consciousness spent some time body jumping. The problem was, his spirit would burn out the host bodies, so he hoped to use the Fountain to stabilize himself. A rival faction of assassins that had come to power when Ra's was dead want to stop him from getting revived to full strength, so they assemble the aforementioned map to get to Nanda Parbat and destroy the Fountain before Ra's can get to it.
The Resurrection of Ra's al Ghul is not a kind story to Nanda Parbat. It pretty much gets razed to the ground by the conflict between Ra's, the rival faction, and Batman.
Tumblr media
The monks explicitly tell Ra's off for bringing violence and death to the city. The monks channel the power of Rama Kushna and cause an earthquake, forcing everyone to leave the city.
If you're interested in reading more about Nanda Parbat, I really recommend reading the series 52! There are several appearances here, with lots of characters passing through on their own journeys. The Deadman series also has a good bit of the Shifting City in it too, but I haven't read it yet, so I can only recommend it as such.
Now go forth and find enlightenment!

I was debating on YouTube about Sasuke but YouTube deletes comments, especially those that have a link. It was also difficult for me to search for the publications. So I gave myself the task of collecting posts from all Sasuke fans and neutral critics of the work 'Naruto' that talk about Sasuke and his relationship with the other Naruto characters. I have also included my contributions, such as questions to other users and post responses. I hope this post helps you when you need support when you are debating in favor of Sasuke. Without anything else to say, I leave you the links:
Tumblr media
Positive qualities of Sasuke.
Sasuke's chakra is extremely powerful, voluminous, and denser than Senjutsu chakra!
It is false that Bee could have killed Sasuke any time he wanted.
¡Sasuke has been shown to nullify mortal wounds with Raiton!
Sasuke is literally the first person to survive the Raikage's Liger Bomb.
All Sasuke received from Raikage was a small lip bleed, while Raikage lost an arm and another Kage, Gaara, had to intervene to save his leg and his life.
Orochimaru's "physical condition" has nothing to do with his ritual and Sasuke's victory.
Analysis Sasuke vs Deidara.
Sasuke killed Danzo; he did not commit suicide.
Are Itachi and Kakashi really prodigies at the level their fans believe them to be? No.
The only reason Naruto managed to hurt Kaguya was because Sasuke forced her to change dimensions more than once and she herself had changed dimensions about four times in total.
Because Sasuke haters say that Haku is simply more tragic and a better person than Sasuke; and Batman too!
What is it about Sasuke that provokes people so much, compared to all the other fictional characters (in and out of Naruto) who have done bad things? Gaara was killing people for fun in part 1, but no one ever complains about him not being punished. Zuko from ATLA burned down a village of civilians, sent a hitman after Team Avatar, and was just lucky that no civilian was injured/killed, but everyone adores him. But Sasuke is unredeemable for threatening to destroy the village?
A back and forth on why Sasuke is a much better realized character, with thematic and narrative depth, compared to Kurapika and Zuko.
Sasuke is the imperfect victim unlike the perfect victims of ATLA and Full Metal Alchemist.
Sasuke's character is too good for the Naruto universe.
Are people upset that Sasuke was going to let the Shinobi Alliance perish?
Sasuke as a feminist icon.
Sakura is a female incel.
Sakura is a narcissistic.
Sakura inserted herself because she wanted validations from people who were out of her league, that's why. She is perfect for self-insert.
The mere idea of turning over an entire manga in your head in which Sasuke hides a raging boner (at age 12) for Sakura is... repulsive. Don't you have anything better to do?
Sasuke never kissed Sakura.
The blow on the forehead is not the maximum expression of love.
Naruto Gaiden is a fucking masterpiece!
Sasuke retsuden is not canon.
Sasuke retsuden is not canon, Jun Esaka herself said it and if you are a fan of Sasuke it is normal that you hate Sakura because Sasuke is unhappy with her.
Sasuke still considers Sakura inferior.
Sasuke didn't push Sakura away because of the curse of hate.
Sasuke rejected Sakura, Ino and Karin, he didn't push them away because he was afraid.
Sasuke is not in love with Karin and did not have sex in part 2 with Karin.
Why Karin's fans say she had sex with Sasuke in part 2.
What does Kakashi know about the genocide and the physical and mental torture that would lead the child victim to a fatal coma, at the hands of a family member?
Naruto is a narcissistic.
Why Naruto is the worst character.
How can anyone read the two chapter panels showing two very different worlds the characters occupy and be surprised by the way it ended? They were not going to reconcile since the world where Sasuke exists is the antithesis of the world where his former team resides.
The Intellectual Dilemma of Rock Lee's Fanbase.
Shikamaru's revenge is meaningless unlike Sasuke's.
People who support Nagato but vilify Sasuke sound a lot more idiotic than they think.
In defense of Fugaku.
How does Sasuke's revolution develop?
Why didn't the narrative validate Sasuke's radical change from Konoha's Will of Fire to the Revolution?
Itachi massacred the clan out of conscience.
The difference between Kushina and Itachi is not that big.
The policies of Tobirama Senju and the Uchiha genocide.
At what point will people stop demanding Sasuke?
Tsunade was at the forefront of the Second Shinobi World War that massacred the people of Nagato, plundered their land's resources, and continued to use the land as a battlefield resulting in mass deaths, poverty, and suffering. A war that Konoha started.
Why do so many people still blame Sasuke for Sasuke's past?
Uchihas do not have mental illnesses.
Sasuke vs Readers without empathy.
Kishimoto canon vs Studio Pierrot fanservice.
The brilliant change of perspective and theme between Hebi and Taka Sasuke; and that there is no writing defect in the moment in which Sasuke stabs Karin to reach Danzō.
Tobirama never accepted the Uchiha as true allies like Hashirama did, never trusting them, something he admitted so openly that his brother had to warn him "not to continue pursuing the Uchiha." And the Uchiha weren't planning to kill innocent people, they were planning to take over the government itself.
Kishimoto is anti sasusaku and anti naruhina.
Kishimoto never wanted to write Boruto.
The real Sasuke fans.

Hi! You seem really knowledgeable about Batman so I have a question for you. I’ve been reading a lot of fan fiction lately, especially about Jason and Tim. I’m curious about how accurate the depiction is of their relationship to each other. Did Jason really slit Tim’s throat at one point and try to kill him more than once? I’ve been seeing that a lot, but I can’t find any canon depictions of it. How bad is their relationship in canon?
Jason indeed did slit Tim's throat! :)
Tumblr media
Batman #618
Jason used Tim as bait for his showdown with Bruce while he was pretending to be Hush, and during the standoff he gave Tim a friendly lil slice to the throat. It wasn't a super life-threatening injury, though. As Tim put it: "I'll need stitches. But Catwoman stopped the bleeding."
Tumblr media
Batman #618
And Jason did indeed try to kill Tim more than once! Three times, to be exact! (Before the reboot, at least.)
There was during the Hush storyline, as I already explained above. Prior to that, there was also the Tim vs Jason fight that took place in Titan's Tower shortly after Jason revealed himself to the Batfamily in UTRH and decided to pay his replacement a visit.
Tumblr media
Teen Titans (2003) #29
Then Battle For the Cowl happened, and Tim and Jason went head to head yet again, this time as their own versions of Batman. Jason stabbed Tim with a batarang and left him for dead, going on to tell Dick that Tim was dead as a doornail when Dick came to save him in his own batsuit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Batman: Battle For the Cowl #2
So yeah, you could say their relationship wasn't great Pre-52. Jason attempted to recruit Tim as his partner a few times, as if Tim would suddenly become all buddy-buddy with a crazy murderer (which is what the writers tried to make Jason into at the time).
To be honest, I find their relationship during this time hilarious? Jason keeps asking Tim to be friends and Tim keeps reminding Jason that he thinks he's the most annoying person in the world lmao.
Jason: ok i know i tried to kill you a couple times and i resent you for replacing me and also i'm kind of psychotic at the moment, but do you wanna like, hang out? 👉👈
Tim: full offense but i would literally rather die than spend ten minutes with you
Jason: sure that's cool man i get it *proceeds to try and shoot tim's face off*
It's such a fun dynamic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Robin #177
Tumblr media
Batman: Battle For the Cowl #2
Jason: *asks tim to be his bestie while he is actively carving tim up with a batarang* (Sir please read the room I'm begging you.)
So that's pretty much how their dynamic was until the New-52 went and made them besties for whatever reason. Jason just really really really wants Tim to join him, Tim really really really wants Jason to leave him alone and stop being crazy. It's a blast.

I'm in some kind of abusive cycle with the blog where people submit their dreams. I love hearing people's dreams, so I follow it thinking it's going to be interesting, and then I have to unfollow because it feels like 90% of the posts are about celebrities and fandom shit, then I forget about it for a while until a really cool/funny/scary/weird dream gets reblogged onto my dash, then I follow it again out of some kind of moronic optimism, and pretty soon I remember why I unfollowed it the last time. I'm not sure which possibility is the worst,
a) that for the most part people only submit dreams involving celebrities or fandoms because they assume no one cares about anything else,
b) most of the submissions are made up but nobody has the brain power to invent anything that doesn't involve celebrities or fandoms,
c) actually a large volume of young people's dreams really are about celebrities and fandoms, like a lot of tumblr users just don't even dream about anything else.
Now that I've typed it all out I'm pretty sure (c) is the worst of all possible worlds, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were really true for a lot of people just based on the sort of online behavior I see. There's a reason the "blorbo from my stories" post blew up (and I often wonder if that person regrets it), about how you can post the most random non-human image possible and you'll still have people in your notifications explaining how it somehow represents whatever their main fandom thing is; "fandom" doesn't describe an interest or even a community anymore, its more like this condition of extreme narrowing of perception and cognition down to like one subject, and somehow this is something you're proud of. Seeing people reblog the blorbo post not to co-sign what OP was saying, but to say "Yay this is totally me!!!" with no sense that they're being criticized was really disturbing. There's actually an even worse version of this where somebody broke down the most common (generally sexual) characterizations and scenarios in fan fiction specifically to show how much of this content just perpetuates really ugly stereotypes and bigoted attitudes, but the fandom people got it and reblogged it like "Yay this is totally me!!!" while OP was going...oh my god doesn't anyone understand what I said? There's this kind of scary, culty "FANDOM GOOD" thing that's like so pathological that it actually affects people's reading comprehension and makes them unable to even perceive criticism unless you push things to the extreme and bring nazis or pedophiles or something into it, you have to go so far as to tell someone they're a bad person to break through with them.
Anyway I know this isn't a scientific fact but I agree with the popular notion that dreams are a way of processing experiences and feelings that you're not done chewing on yet. For the most part your dreams should be made up of things, however filtered they are through symbolic language, that are somehow unresolved for you. You shouldn't be closing your eyes at night and just seeing a stream of the exact same pacifying stuff you choose to watch on TV. If that's happening more than once in a great while, you might have given yourself some form of brain damage, and I'm only being slightly sarcastic about that.
(Actually I think it's probably abnormal if you have a lot of wish fulfillment dreams in general; I used to have this friend who turned out to be completely toxic and nuts, and he was always happy to tell me these dreams he had where like he's a cross between Batman and Superman and he punishes everyone who was ever mean to him and then everyone worships him and he becomes the king of the universe or whatever. And I always thought oh my god, why isn't he embarrassed by this, if I had dreams like that about myself where I'm the best person ever and everyone else is either my victim or my slave, I don't think I would repeat it to anyone! But ANYWAY)
I've probably written this post before without even realizing it, which means I have my own problem where I need to disconnect from this thought process. Tumblr used to be a place where you could see weird, cool, interesting stuff that didn't really exist elsewhere, and it was reasonably easy to curate your experience; now the fandom thing is just at such a critical mass that it feels like you're always about one degree of separation from it no matter what you do. When capacity made that post the other day about how you can't even search for any media you're interested in on tumblr because all you get is the fan activity around the thing and not the thing itself (or god forbid your search involves a normal English word that happens to relate to a fandom, then you're really fucked)--when I first saw that post it had almost 8,000 notes and it was only 7 hours old. Whether you're someone who likes it or not, everyone knew what that was about, we are all experiencing it.
I would probably be slightly less bothered if I just let myself think that all the celebrity and fandom posts clogging up that dream blog are mainly just made up, due to whatever compulsion makes people make up inconsequential bullshit on the internet. I remember when FML was a thing, and at first it was kind of fun and kind of like this shared catharsis thing, but pretty quickly it became full of obviously fake stories that were so extreme they weren't even funny, like if someone said those things out loud in your presence you'd just feel sorry for them, that they want attention so bad they'll tell degrading lies about themselves to get it. Actually though the site started to degenerate into basically two kinds of content, which were not necessarily mutually exclusive, but it was always either people telling degrading lies about themselves for attention, or people telling elaborate stories about how they ate all kinds of poisonous garbage and then they shat themselves in public. And for one thing, I don't think it counts as a proper FML if you deliberately did something that was not a good idea and then immediately suffered the most predictable consequences, you know like eating hot cheetoes in gravy and washing it down with a liter of grape soda and then shitting your pants is kinda the same as "I knowingly stepped in front of a speeding car and it hit me and I was badly injured and now I'm in the hospital, fuck my life!", it's not really a surprising misfortune or irony, it's just something you did on purpose because you have no self-control even though only one outcome was possible. But I always had the feeling that the pants-shitters were American, and like obviously America has a problem with junk food, so I started to wonder if everywhere you go here you're just always near at least one person who is one more bad decision away from shitting their pants. Maybe it's true, I dunno, it's starting to seem likely. Maybe we should just change the name of the country to Pantshitsylvania and get it over with, it's probably what we deserve.

In CELEBRATION of Fanfiction
AI-generated content seems to be aiming at every possible creative pursuit as of late. Theft of art and art styles has become so insidious that digital artists are being forced to “mask” their posted pieces in ways that human eyes can’t detect yet completely scramble AI art programs. AI “animation,” while currently in a state of fairly poor quality, has proven to be feasible, and thus threatens the status of already precarious and underpaid animators throughout the world. Even photographers and their models are not immune to the pressure of the seemingly “miraculous” output of hundreds of thousands of lifelike, frontpage-ready images by AI programs.
Of course, the above mentioned are all visual mediums. The art of conversation and the written word has also been in the eye of AI for a long time. “Chatbots” have been around for almost as long as the concept of the computer itself, and The Turing Test is still a popular measure of a successful AI chatting program to this day. Back in my childhood days, “Cleverbot” was a novelty chatbot that was fun to chat with for a few minutes, but quickly became stale. As most of you reading likely already know, ChatGPT, on the other hand, has taken the world by storm. Schools are contending with students submitting AI-written reports (a very futuristic-sounding cheating method indeed), and many writing-based industries, already squeezed by the looming threats of a post-pandemic recession, are in turmoil over the potential of the complete replacement of humans by the machines.
I myself am in no way an AI expert. I do not know if the current state of AI is just a fad or a true industry disruptor. What I do know about, however, is fanfiction, and it seems that people want AI to write it, too.
I have been writing fanfiction since 2010, back when I was in middle school. I would write for hours and hours, exploring characters and ideas in ways the original source material (in this case, the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series) never intended. I would then post these works onto fanfiction(dot)net for mostly my irl friends and a few dozen strangers to read and enjoy. Over the years, I’ve cycled through a few different fandoms and made the switch to the currently-preferred fanfic-posting website, Archive of Our Own -otherwise known as “Ao3.”  LiveJournal, FFnet, Wattpad, Ao3 -all of these websites and more have had hundreds of thousands if not millions of fanfictions posted and consumed. Fanfiction isn’t just a small circle of Star Trek fans sharing secret magazines through the mail -and in some ways, it never was just that.
Many “classics” today are, in some way or another, fanfiction by another name. Consider, for instance, the well-known fact that Disney’s 1994 hit movie, The Lion King, is just a retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. When anonymous authors online turn all of their favorite characters into lions or wolves, it’s considered “furry cringe,” but when multi-billion dollar corporations do the same, it’s considered “art.”
House is a modern-day hospital-au version of Sherlock Holmes.
All fairytale “reimaginings,” such as the TV drama Once Upon a Time, are fanfictions in every sense of the word.
The current Batman cannon has so many reimaginings that it’s a gag in The Lego Batman Movie!
And these are just some American/European examples. The first “modern” novel, The Tale of Genji, has such a long history of fanart and fanfiction in Japan that there are literal traveling museum exhibitions to display small fractions of what has been (and continues to be) produced. However, in these exhibitions, the words “art” and “fiction” are never preceded by “fan.” These works, though just as “derivative” in content as anything you would find in internet fanspaces today, get to once again simply be “art.”
What is the difference? Where is the line between literature worthy of “respect” and literature considered worthy of constant derision?
I do not have all the answers, but please allow me to present some for your consideration.
As you may have noticed in my above examples, most of the original works being reimagined are, indeed, in the public domain. This means that no one owns the rights to these original works anymore, and thus they can be reproduced faithfully or completely changed without threat of legal trouble. This also means that all reproductions can make money for the reproducers without hassle. Batman is a somewhat curious case in this instance, since many of his reimaginings are in and of themselves canon while still carrying many of the hallmarks of fanfiction.
We will return to the curious case of Batman later, but needless to say legality and potential monetary gain make up an important component of the supposed high-literature/lowly-fanfiction divide. If you ever click on “older” fanfictions, particularly those from the 2000s and early-2010s, you will see constant repetition of phrases such as “I do not own X” or “please don’t sue me”. Later authors, including my own childhood self, repeated these out of an abundance of caution without really knowing why. Afterall, no one on websites like FFnet honestly thought the authors owned the “original” works in question to begin with. The problem, as I understand it now, arose from the infamous response of author Anne Rice to fanfiction of her book series, The Vampire Chronicles. In 2001, she made it very clear that her works and characters were protected by copyright, and that she was willing and ready to sue any supposed-copycats. Fanfics were purged by both individual authors and entire websites who were either afraid of the mere threat of legal action or had been notified of impending legal action if there was no change respectively.
The state of fanfiction legality has come a long way in 20+ years, but even Ao3, which has lawyers on hand to defend both its own existence and the rights of its authors, does not allow authors to talk about taking commissions (ie, getting paid) or post links to websites such as kofi or patreon. The idea of “making money” off of fanfiction still exists in a dangerous gray zone that not even the lawyers of Ao3 can protect you from.
Still, one of the stereotypes of the true artiste is that they do not create with money in mind to begin with, so this cannot be the only factor in fanfiction’s discrediting as an art form. Another consideration, then, is the content of fanfiction itself. So far, I have not endeavored to try and define the word “fanfiction.” Everyone reading this surely has their own conception of the word in mind either from first-hand experience or cultural osmosis. To me, defining fanfiction is as fruitless a pursuit as trying to define any other medium of artistic expression. What is sculpture? What is painting? What is documentary filmmaking? Definitions require limits, and limits breed exceptions.
Perhaps the broadest stereotypical definition of fanfiction is that it is derivative work containing sexually-explicit love stories of a primarily homosexual-male variety. Many of the most famous pairings -KirkxSpock, SasukexNaruto, DanxPhil- would seem, to the distant observer, to fit this stereotype. A related stereotype replaces the homosexual-male romance with a heterosexual romance between a male celebrity/fictional character and a female oc or “original character” who is thus presumed to be the author’s self-insert (meaning that the female oc is a one-to-one reflection of the author herself). Think of all the most infamous One Direction fanfiction for a taste of this stereotypical form.
However, as you may have guessed, these stereotypes lead to a superficial understanding of what fanfiction can be. If you go to Ao3 right now, you will find that there are five content ratings that can be attached to a fic: General Audiences, Teen and Up Audiences, Mature, Explicit, and Not Rated. By definition, there is no way to know what sort of content is in a “Not Rated” fic, but putting that aside, let us for a moment be ultra-conservative and assume ALL “Explicit” and “Mature” fanfictions have sex (as an author who has used this system, I know for a fact that they do not). Even with this ultra-conservative assumption, going to any popular series with over 200,000 archived stories will reveal to you that sexually-explicit fanfictions make up less than half of what is published. What types of stories are contained in the majority of fanfictions, then?
Well, let’s take a moment to look at the chat fic as just one example. Chat fics are not the most popular type of fanfiction, but they often attract a fair amount of readers. Chat fics are meant to be, well, group chats between fictional characters. Some may have suggestions of romance, but many of these fics would be better described as chaotic, humor-driven affairs (the humor in this case, as in all cases, being somewhat subjective). Authors often have the freedom to play around with each character’s screen name, as well as what other characters might have someone saved as in smaller or private chats. Details like these reveal that, while chat fics may appear on the surface to be some of the most simple and easy-to-write fanfictions, they often require in-depth knowledge of not just canon facts but also fanon (“fan canon”) tropes to be accepted and enjoyed authentically by readers. The implementation of this knowledge is doubly impressive when the original source material exists in a world without cellphones and the internet, and thus the author must find a way to strike a balance between referencing the original character/trait/meme/etc while making it seem congruent in the new setting. Indeed, the achievement of a particularly impressive “reference” in any fic is often met with high praise by readers in the comment section of the story.
I should say now that none of this is meant to stigmatize or label sexually-explicit fanfiction as somehow “inauthentic.” It is authentic and it is important, but it is not all that fanfiction is. One of the greatest beauties of fanfiction, as has been observed in pieces like Dan Olson’s breakdown of the Fifty Shades movies on the Folding Ideas YouTube channel, is that it lets both authors and readers get to the “good stuff” without having to be bogged down by character introductions and worldbuilding. In the contract of fanfiction, both the author and the reader have already done some amount of prior “research” so that everyone is more or less on the same page about certain aspects of the work. This is why the many iterations of Batman work no matter the change in scenery or storyline: both authors and readers are bringing assumptions to the table that they are ready and willing to see both reaffirmed and challenged.
Again, a common reason for praise in the comment sections of fanfictions comes from the perceived accuracy of a character’s depiction within the story. In this case, it doesn’t matter if the creator of the original work would actually agree with the characterization in the fanfiction, just that the fanfic author and the reader agree that it is authentic. It is understandable, then, that creators like Anne Rice would feel threatened by fanfiction. In some cases, this fear is legitimate: no well-intentioned creator would want their work altered in order to spread hateful messages, afterall. Additionally, when characters in a story are not merely fictional but are real, living celebrities/singers/idols/youtubers/etc., there are some reasonable questions about ethics and consent to consider. However, what I have mostly found throughout my years as a writer and reader is that the fanfiction contract allows for a deeper exploration of themes that mainstream media simply does not or will not explore.
This brings us to the final consideration today for why fanfiction is so often belittled and mocked, and to put it quite simply it is the creators and audience themselves. Returning to stereotypes once more, people often imagine that fanfiction is written by and for heterosexual, teenage, cis-gendered girls. The social trend of shitting on the interest of teenage girls is another topic for another time. For now, I certainly will not deny that these people exist within the space, but I also would not say they are necessarily the majority. I can only speak from my own experiences, but I have found is that fanfiction holds a strong attraction for individuals of queer genders and sexualities. These individuals, searching both to express their own feelings and to find a community, can use fanfiction as a means of attaining both. This is partially why sexually explicit fanfiction, while not the majority of what is written, can be some of the most powerful and subversive content that is produced. Fanfiction written about men is almost never fanfiction written for cis-gender men, and the truth is that pornography written by gender/sexual minorities for gender/sexual minorities just hits different.
And when it comes to minority or disadvantaged groups, queer individuals are by no means the only ones who find freedom in fanfiction. Taking characters “everyone” knows and writing them with depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, etc., allows authors and readers to feel fully realized in fiction for the first time. Fanfiction can be just as, and sometimes even more, resonant than traditional fiction because of just how strong people’s feelings are for their favorite characters. If those favorite characters were dismissed or betrayed in the source material, they can be given a second chance at “life” in the fanfiction. Even when this is not the case, there may be elements to characters that simply resonate with minority voices and inspire further creation even after the canon story ends.
Fanfiction is not perfect by any means. There is quite a lot to be said about problems such as the misogyny and racism that can “slip by” or be fully adopted by a fandom uncriticized. Once again, however, this is true of any artistic medium, and that’s what fanfiction is: a medium of expression, not a genre. Fanfiction can be romance, but it can also be sci-fi, mystery, comedy, thriller, historical drama, adventure, and more. It is creation constrained only by the written word itself.
Now let me tie this all back to the beginning. As I alluded to, there has recently been an increased interest in allowing ChatGPT to “write” fanfiction. I am here to say that AI fanfiction is not real fanfiction. While it is true that AI is by its very nature derivative in its outputs, AI is hollow. It has nothing to say. Fanfiction is a rich and flourishing medium which takes characters the dominant powers in society have “allowed” us to have, and it breathes into these characters fresh, minority voices. Fanfiction is art, and it is worthy of celebration, not derision and cheap imitation.

Cryptid Samus
I know I've made posts like this before in the past, but this is my favorite headcanon so you're all gonna have to suffer more of it until I can write a proper length fanfic about it.
SO. In the era of the Prime series, Samus seems to go from being a relatively unknown bounty hunter, to the one woman army that almost single-handedly ends the Phazon War with the Space Pirates. This makes sense as Metroid Prime is only the second mission of Samus's that we get to see, and it's not really a big one. Just "There's a Space Pirate frigate out here kinda close to Zebes, orbiting Tallon IV. Go see if they're causing trouble."
The next mission we see Samus undertake is checking in on the Federation ship that lost communications on Aether. Here is where we actually get to see for the first time what other in-universe characters think of Samus.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, these troopers can only communicate through their log entries. One trooper in particular, SPC M. Angseth, says in her log,
"This is ridiculous. I can outshoot half the men here, and I'm stuck on monitor duty. I didn't join up to stare at a holoscreen! This wouldn't happen to Samus Aran... She'd be out there take care of business, not pushing buttons and sending reports."
Another trooper, PFC I. Crany, says this,
"Last night at chow, Angseth starts talking about some bounty hunter and how she blew up a planet full of Space Pirates. I told her I didn't believe in fairy tales like that, and she took it personal. I just find it hard to believe that one person took out an entire Space Pirate base, that's all. But if she wants to believe in this Samus, or Bigfoot, or Santa Claus, she can."
These two logs clearly show that while Samus is a known entity, her exploits are fantastical to the point of sounding like a myth or fable. I think most fans are aware of these logs by this point so I won't go on too much more about them. Instead, I'll move on to Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
Corruption has a large number of troopers, and most of them are even alive for us to talk to! Right off the bat Samus gets hailed by the GFS Olympus and when she puts in her code on the comms, the ATC operator refers to her as Samus. Maybe they could've been just reading the name off the gunship registration. Once we land, Samus talks to a trooper at their post in landing bay 5.
Tumblr media
The way this trooper talks to Samus doesn't indicate whether or not they believe that she is a fictional character like PFC Crany, nor do they show any admiration for Samus the way we could expect Angseth to act.
Then we get to the briefing room where Dane, Rundas, Ghor, and Samus are waiting for us.
Tumblr media
... I'm pretty sure it's normal to have people impersonate you about 3 times in your career, right?
Tumblr media
Either way, none of the assembled hunters, no Admiral Dane seem to have any reaction to Samus's presence. Meaning they know that she exists (reasonably, since they're kinda coworkers).
ANYWAYS
If we get back to my 'armcanon,' I think that Samus, the mysterious Chozo Power Suit wearing bounty hunter that tangles with legions of Space Pirates by herself, is regarded as some sort of space cryptid, because like yes someone capable of doing what she does makes sense. BUT, is it believable that ONE (1) person is doing it? Is Samus some kind of AI in a hyper-advanced experimental chassis? Or maybe she's a Federation bioweapon that they send out to do their most expensive and difficult bounties to keep from paying out so much money. The only people who know that Samus is a real person are the ones who directly work with her, so other hunters, the Federation, obviously the Space Pirates.
I would compare her to the way that Robert Pattinson's Batman exists to Gotham city. The average citizen probably doesn't ever have too much proof that Samus really exists, though maybe there's merchandise that the people who do see her make, and of course the Federation knows since they payout her bounties and have to get in touch with her when they work together.
I also like to think of Samus as having a sort of alter ego.
Tumblr media
This public persona would be Sam A. an archaeologist. Someone who works with decrypting the ancient writings of species like the Chozo, N'kren, Ylla, Bryyonians, Elysians, Alimbics, and many others. She could have an office or museum or some kind of public works that help teach people the history of the stars.
On the rare occasion that she is around to oversee her space, she will slip in and give lucky viewers private tours of her personal artifact collection. Things such as rubbings of Chozo lore walls from Tallon IV, damaged busts of Luminoth (donated by U'Mos of course), and even some relics from her old missions like the Spazer beam, Long Beam, or the Omega Cannon.
I'm sure she would also run some kind of black market smuggling operation too. What better way to find and retrieve valuable artifacts from smugglers and grave robbers than to con them into stealing from herself? Then of course she'd hack their equipment to give herself five stars on Dark Yelp.*
I really want to see Samus have more of a direct role in making peoples lives better rather than just the suicidal impossible odds missions she gets in the games. And I think that could be done in a Metroid game with a more urban setting, sorta like Batman: Arkham Knight where Samus would mostly stick to a single city and be able to receive missions to track down bounty heads while piecing together a large assassination plot or something. Maybe make Sylux or some other hunters appear to give him an actual reason to hate Samus.
*The Dark Yelp thing is a reference to my close friend's EeveeNicks' "Human" series on AO3. A series about Samus struggling to move on after the destruction of Zebes and rebuilding her connection to humanity, rather than feeling like a tool of war.

The Shadow “Starter Kit” (Comics)
“Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?”
Tumblr media
If you know me well, or have been following my page for a long time, then you should know by now that I am a huge fan of the Shadow. For those who are unaware, or else need a reminder: the Shadow is a character of pulp fiction, who many consider the father of the modern superhero. He is the inspiration for many famous characters, and while his star has faded over the decades, he still persists today, lurking about in…well…the shadows. There are many reasons why the character is relatively obscure nowadays, despite the incredible popularity he had once upon a yesteryear…the primary one being that his heyday was when most people alive today were NOT alive then. Despite this, the Shadow has touched nearly every form of media there is: from the pulp magazines and the radio program that sired him, to several screen adaptations…and, most importantly, to comics. While the Shadow was not born in the comics, it is through comics that he has survived most predominantly. The old pulp stories are hard to get nowadays; the most recent (and best) movie was from 1994, and has a spotty record; meanwhile, the radio shows…well…they’re radio shows from the 1930s and 40s. Fans of such productions are a niche group, to say the least. The comics are where many of the Shadow’s best and most accessible stories are to be found. With this in mind, I figured - since a lot of you who look at this page probably don’t know who the Shadow even IS - it would be a good idea to give you all some recommended reading. That way, if any of you WANT to learn more about this character and his world, you know which comics to start with. I like to call it…The Shadow Starter Kit! I need to make something VERY clear: this “Starter Kit” is NOT a list of my favorite Shadow stories. Granted, all of the stories on here are AMONG my favorites, but neither the choices nor the rankings are based on personal favoritism. There are dozens upon dozens of really fantastic stories for this character (and a few that are not so good, to be fair, especially in more recent years), but a lot of them are stories that really make the most impact when you ALREADY know a lot about the Shadow. I wanted to base this short list of recommended tales on the idea that the ones looking these up will NOT be major Shadow fans. These are stories that I chose because they have some sort of importance, and which offer a solid foundation for one entering the fanbase to work off of. I also wanted to make sure they would be stories that are fairly easy to track down, either by looking them up online, or by purchasing physical copies. So, with that said, below you will find five stories that make up “The Shadow Starter Kit!”
Tumblr media
5. The Shadow, 1941: Hitler’s Astrologer.
Of all the stories on this list, this is arguably the most “basic” of the bunch, in terms of content. That isn’t a bad thing, mind you! Still, this piece of historical dark superhero fiction doesn’t really deeply explore the Shadow as a character, nor the characters of any of his allies, nor does it offer a fresh look at one of his arch-villains. The premise is pretty simple, with the Shadow and his crew working to rescue a young lady and gain her help in defeating treacherous Nazis on the cusp of WWII. However, the story IS important for its more artistic reasons: for a start, this graphic novel is, to date, the only outing for the Shadow originally published by Marvel. (Reprints are now published by Dynamite, who are the current rights holders for the Shadow in comics.) Secondly, it was written by the late, great Denny O’Neil, whom many will likely recognize for his highly impactful work on Batman. Thirdly, the art is the work of penciler Michael Kaluta, with Russ Heath as the colorist. I don’t know much about Heath, but Kaluta is widely considered one of the absolute greatest Shadow artists and writers of all time…but, ironically, getting hold of most of his work is actually quite difficult, since much of it has never been reprinted. “Hitler’s Astrologer” is an exception, and a glorious one, at that. For people who don’t know anything about the Shadow, this is a simple action/adventure story, with a dash of history thrown into it, with a very high artistic pedigree: more than enough for me to recommend it for this starter kit.
Tumblr media
4. “Fireworks,” from “The Shadow Strikes!”
“The Shadow Strikes!” was a relatively short-lived comic series published by DC in the late 80s and early 90s. (At the time, DC owned the rights to the Shadow character in comics.) This is one entry on the list where you’re almost certainly going to have to look up digital copies, but that shouldn’t be TOO difficult, as there are several websites where you can find it for reading, if I’m not mistaken. In my opinion, this series was the Shadow’s finest in comics, and there are too many great stories to count…but I decided to specifically recommend the three part story arc published across “The Shadow Strikes! #8 - 10.” This three-parter is entitled “Fireworks.” The primary reason I’m recommending this story is for the sake of its villain: Shiwan Khan, the Shadow’s arch-enemy. Surprisingly, despite Khan’s importance in the Shadow’s long history, most of the best stories for upstart Shadow fans to check out DON’T feature the villain. In “The Shadow Strikes!,” Khan was featured in two multi-part story arcs, and this, in my opinion, is the definitive portrayal of the character. “Fireworks” - loosely adapted from “The Golden Master,” Khan’s first appearance in the pulps - was the first story arc, and the shortest, making it the easiest for new readers to get into. The story also shows a more human side to the Shadow than some other tales, as there is a subplot with the Shadow having to help a young boy - not a situation you find the Jackal of Justice in, typically. Again, locating physical copies can be tough, but it shouldn’t be too hard to find this three-parter online, if you are interested.
Tumblr media
3. The Shadow: Blood & Judgment.
This somewhat controversial graphic novel - originally published as a four-part miniseries - is basically the Shadow’s version of “The Dark Knight Returns.” (In fact, it was originally published by DC the same year as Frank Miller’s arguable masterwork. Much like “Hitler’s Astrologer,” it has since been reprinted by Dynamite Entertainment.) Written and illustrated by Howard Chaykin, the plot focuses on the appearance of a mysterious serial killer, who begins axing off the Shadow’s aging agents in the modern day. This is years after the Shadow has mysteriously vanished. Right on cue, the Master of Darkness returns, and while his agents have all grown old and haggard…the Shadow has not aged even a single day. The graphic novel established the Shadow as an immortal, and for the first time really dived deep to explore the intricacies and hypocrisies of the character, in a way that hadn’t really been attempted before. While this story works extremely well for long time fans of the character, it’s also worth looking at for newcomers…though perhaps not till after reading some of the other stories on this list, which is why I place it squarely in the middle.
Tumblr media
2. Batman/The Shadow & The Shadow/Batman.
You’ve noticed that Batman and DC have come up several times already in the course of this list. That isn’t a coincidence: the Shadow has been the inspiration for many superheroes, as well as fellow pulp-style characters…but perhaps none so impactful as Batman. In fact, the very first Batman comic ever written was based directly on a Shadow magazine story! These twin crossovers - the first published by DC, the second published by Dynamite - are not the first time the two characters met, but they are, by far, the best and most interesting. The first story, simply titled “Batman/The Shadow” (the TPB is given the subtitle “The Murder Geniuses”), takes a lot of inspiration from “Blood & Judgment,” as it focuses on an immortal Shadow popping up in the modern day, while his agents have all become old and gray. This is started when a descendant of one of his Agents is murdered by a mysterious serial killer: a seemingly equally immortal villain known as The Stag. The Shadow and Batman are forced to reluctantly join forces when the Stag teams-up with the Joker to spread death and destruction across Gotham. The sequel, “The Shadow/Batman” (wow, the guys who came up with these titles need a raise), sees the Shadow captured by his arch-enemy, Shiwan Khan, who has also somehow managed to survive well into the modern day, and has joined forces with Ra’s Al Ghul. While the Shadow tries to uncover a way to escape the villains, Batman & Robin work to figure out their plan and help the Shadow out. Both stories are excellent, and pay great homage not only to the history these two characters share, but to their respective virtues and flaws, exploring new sides of each and creating not only a great Shadow story, but also a magnificent pair of Batman stories! For mainstream audiences who know much about the Dark Knight, but less about the Knight of Darkness (yes, that is one of the Shadow’s nicknames, no joke), this is a good way to at least start learning something of the character.
Tumblr media
1. The Shadow: Year One.
To quote Shadow aficionado and YouTuber, Razorfist, “If you wanna know who the [bleep] the Shadow is, and why the [bleep] he be Shadowin’, ‘Year One’ is your [bleep]ing Bible.” This ten-part miniseries, later collected into TPB graphic novel, was one of Dynamite’s first forays into the Shadow’s dark world. It serves as an origin story for the Shadow, as well as his most famous and trusted agent, Margo Lane. It also features his confrontation with his first proper supervillain, the demented Dr. Zorn, a.k.a. “The White Tiger.” The Shadow’s origins, like those of many great characters, have been retooled and reconfigured over the years. In my opinion, “Year One” provides the finest take on the origin story ever created, taking everything that was good from earlier versions and crystalizing it into a magnificent construction, while at the same time finding a way to keep the mystery of the Shadow eternally fixed. It is a gritty, brutal, exciting story that pulls no punches, easily one of the darkest Shadow comics ever printed, but still has smatterings of humor, as well as tons of exciting action. The characters are expertly portrayed, their relationships brilliantly handled, and the art - with a style that seems deliberately similar to that of “Batman: The Animated Series” and its own spinoff comics - is simple yet sublime. In my opinion, this may be the Shadow’s single finest hour in all of comics history, and it is a positive must-read for new Shadow fans who want to understand why this character is who he is, and what makes him so darkly fascinating. For people who are new to the character, there are very few places better to start than “The Shadow: Year One.” And there you have it, everybody! Hopefully at least a few of you will look up at least a couple of these stories. Just remember: “The Weed of Crime Bears Bitter Fruit. Crime does not pay! THE SHADOW KNOWS!”

Movie!Adrien HC: Career
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what kind of career Adrien would want for himself in the movieverse. All I know, is that I'd want him to have a career that would nurture his Destruction the same way being a fashion designer nurtures Marinette's own Creation. Most of all, I'd want Adrien to have a career that he'd want for himself, one that it'll make him happy.
As it is, here's my spin on what kind of career that could fit Adrien
MODEL:
Since it doesn't seem like he's a model in the movieverse, I'd cross out this one from the list. However, since he's a model in the show, I feel like I should write out what he'd think in being a model in the movieverse.
I do think he had the training and he's damn good at it especially on the catwalk. Sometimes he modelled to help out his dad early on as a means to bridge the chasm between them but stopped when Gabriel could barely look at him out of grief. Years later, when things have gradually healed, he'd definitely offer to model for Marinette and even pitched in to help whenever a model at the company couldn't make it but ultimately, he's not interested in modelling
It's definitely a hobby though
DETECTIVE:
Won't lie, this is one of my fave career paths for Movie!Adrien. For a long time, I've been wondering what kind of career that could nurture his Destruction and I thought being a detective might fit.
He's considerably less sheltered and seems to be more aware. And considering that cats are known to also symbolize intuition, it'd be interesting to see Adrien as a highly empathic, intuitive detective.
Also, I HC that Adrien's a big fan of mystery and crime noir novels. Even admired fictional detectives a great deal especially Sherlock Holmes and Batman when he was a kid. As he grew older, it became apparent that Adrien has a very high intuition, scary deduction skills to the point of profiling people at a glance and an unholy desire to destroy everything until only the truth remains. That talent and skill are especially useful whenever he has to fight akumas or unravel mysteries surrounding them
WRITER:
Another of my faves. It could start as an outlet for his feelings of loneliness. His grief, his anger. But also his happiness. As times go on, Adrien finds himself enjoying in writing stories especially those that destroys tropes and closed-minded ideas. His fave genres to write are dark fantasy and mystery
LAWYER:
Not entirely sure about this one but I feel like Adrien ruling the court in handsome three piece suits is too much for me to resist XD
In fact, the more I think about it, the more it seems to fit
Its somewhat inspired by Matt Murdock and Suits. He'd make sure to destroy every single lie and falsehood of the guilty. Especially those who'd abuse their power. He'd be able to investigate like a detective and bring it to court. Once he's made a name for himself, people who'd see him in court would immediately pale because everyone knows by now that Adrien Agreste is the Court's own personal Nightmare. After all as the saying goes, even a Cat may look at a king
And the Chat of Destruction rules above them all
--------
well, that's all I got. i think I might go with lawyer but i am curious what other possibilities there are. anyways, thanks as always for those who are willing to read till the end. Really appreciate it!

Honeybee by @fictional-affairs
The fic is Honeybee, which incidentally she wrote for me. it's Jewish!Cain/GN!Virgin!Reader. What I like about this particular story is that it feels realistic in the way Cain and the Reader interact. I also really like Rae's writing style - despite x Reader being weird for me still, her writing pulls you right in. I also really appreciate the effort Rae put in writing a Gender Neutral Reader, which I am aware can be extremely hard for some. She did an amazing job with it too!

Hi! It’s you, surprise!
Anyway, I’m so mentally ill over “the stars claim them” a d I love it I love it I love it. Ever now and then I’ll think to myself “hey, what’s a good fic to read?” And every time it’s yours.
It’s just like [image of cat eating a box] and just so good. It honestly might get printed out and bound into an irl book just so that I can actually bite it.
(I am working so hard not to get off topic)
I don’t think I’ve ever found it harder to explain my love for something with actual words. Your writing alone is incredible. I think I’ve already said this in a comment but I am constantly on the edge of my seat waiting to see what you do next, and you write all of the character so well.
Never before have I wanted this much to reach into a fan-fictional world and scoop out an oc with my hands and just hold them like a tiny little kitten. (Technically accidentally did that with a character anyway but ah well)
Plot aside, because I’m already talking characters, I love the cast you’ve chosen so so so so so so much, I love the diversity and headcanons. And I especially love the dynamics and interactions with each other. And the parallels, oh my goo the parallels in character pairings that pop up occasionally. (Lyf and Micheal, Tim and Grifter’s Bone guy (his name evades me), even just the whole vampire Gerry thing)
Which reminds me, you’ve managed to have at least one reference to wtnv in every book so far, is this deliberate or just art?
Okay, I could talk characters all day so let’s move onto plot now and I’ll ramble about individuals later. 300+ (or something) chapter slow burn my beloved. And then everything just tumbling around around it is just wonderful.
Lyf was just out here trying to live their best life and then things just kept happening to them over and over and over and over again, first the prisoners, then the train, then the prisoners again, then the void, then space, then Nastya, then death, then earth, then the spooks, then the mechs, then the spooks, then the mechs, then the circus, then the mechs, then probably some more spooks, then [see last three lines].
Poor inspector is in the washing machine of happenings.
And of course, gotta adopt a family along the way because, as Batman has shown us, the best way to recover from your whole family dying is to just adopt more.
And the whole chaos avatar screwing with all the other fear’s shticks is an incredible concept and I adore it. I also find it beautifully hilarious. Do you think Lyf could just rainbow people like they did Gerry to help them escape their entity? Instead of like, eye stabbing?
And the fact Lyf sees the fears in colours and one of the first people they meet in Gerry, who originally referred to them as colours in the show, is just fabulous. And then Lyf being all the colours is also marvellous.
(I feel like I’ve been going too long, am I going too long?)
There’s just so many little plot points that I adore that I can’t remember them all at once let alone put them in words so maybe I’ll just doom spam ask you a live rereading so that I get all the bits.
This story is my soul, my life, I am empty without it. Anyway, off to go read it again probably.
Thank you for writing, I love it so much.
!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! I've really loved writing this story, and seeing other people enjoying it to similar levels is beautiful. And no worries about getting off topic or going too long-- I've written this story for over a year. If anyone's going too long here . . .
But anyway. Let's chat!
If you (or anyone else!) ever get this story printed out and bound, I would love to see it <3
I'm so glad you enjoy the writing and characters, too! I personally love my characters and try to let them guide the story as much as possible, so hearing that I write them well is fantastic. So. Thanks!
(And I get the feeling. I've literally made tiny knit dolls for some of my OCs along with my TMA and Mechs ones. Brenn and Juniper my darlings, for instance. And my Lyf, of course. That doll has now crossed so many state lines because I keep bringing them on road trips and the like with me. . .)
Character parallels too. . . yeah, there's a lot that can be said about the way characters parallel and interact and misunderstand each other, and I love writing them doing that. It's fun to consider, and I love it :)
The washing machine of happenings. . . yeah, that sounds about right :D
Heh, adopting a new family to cope with losing one is certainly a way to put it! Not sure how well that works, for Lyf or for Batman, particularly when said New Family also gets into danger, but. . . yep!
Could Lyf just rainbow people to help them escape from an entity? Likely! It would hurt a LOT, though, and it'd probably end up having consequences, you know? Whether it's that the person in question becomes a chaos magnet, or whether they'd be able to break reality too. . . yeah, that's an interesting one to ponder.
I love that, yep!
I'd love to see your thoughts if you do that, whether it's on here or on Ao3! Like I said, I've been writing this for more than a year now, and I really do love talking to people about it.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts like this, and I hope you continue to enjoy the story! We've got some fun times ahead. . .

Tinky Winkynos VS Everyone
I planify a polling series about Tinky Winkynos, a villain character who is the fusion between Tinky Winky (Teletubbies) and Thanos (Avengers).
Tumblr media
I have got the idea following the @purpleboytournament.
I wish make Tinky Winkynos fighting against a maximum of possible fictional characters from different franchises (it can be against entire franchises).
The action: Tinky Winkynos invades the targeted suggested franchise. You must vote for the side of your choice.
The rule: You can help him conquer or you can stand against him by voting.
The result at the end of the poll will decide the fate of the universe(s) issue of his conquest(s). If The Mad Teletubby wins with more 50% of votes, he succeeds his conquest. If the franchise (TV show, video game, movie, novel, etc) wins 50%, the invasion is repelled.
If you have a franchise to purpose as challenge, say it by message or commentary.
To read his comic story, below:

New writing blog
I hope this is put together well enough by the end of it.
Hello! I’m quite new to writing on tumblr, or really posting on here in general, but I wanted to make a bit of an introductory bit.
Some stuff about what I’ll do
So basically this blog is for me to write fan fiction as a way of improving my writing skills and for fun. Since this is for me to improve, I will take criticism :). So if more experienced writers have any tips for me I will gladly take them. Other than writing I may post a few things about my interests, but nothing much else.
Rules for requests ig
Things I will write
Romantic fics
Cheesy romance fics (we all deserve a bit of cheesy romance in our lives)
Angst & Hurt/Comfort
Fluff
Headcanons
Oneshots
Dysphoria
Things I won’t write
Sexual fics (I don’t know how to write them and I’m not very comfortable with writing them anyways)
SA (very few exceptions for this)
Teacher x Student, Boss x Employee (Basically power dynamics, you get the idea)
Fandoms and characters I will write for
The Scream franchise
Billy Loomis
Stu Macher
Mickey Altieri
Roman Bridger
Criminal Minds
Spencer Reid
Derek Morgan
Luke Alvez (once I catch up again)
The Batman (2022)
The riddler
Batman
Webtoons
Questism
Suhyeon Kim
Hajun Gu
More will be added once I re-read
Lookism
Daniel Park (both)
Euntae Park/Vasco
Zack Lee
Jake Kim
Samuel Seo
Jonggun/Gun
Joongoo/Goo
More can be requested because I forgot some of them
Viral Hit
Hobin Yoo
Wangguk Han
Taehoon Seong
Hyeonsu Lee
Yeonu/Yeonwoo Ji
Seongjun Baek
Requests for reader
I will mostly do everything ambiguous reader unless specified, however most of my writing is aimed towards non-women.
Things you can specify for reader in a req
Cis or Trans male reader
Non-Binary Trans reader (basically anything other than trans man)
Reader of a certain race or ethnicity (specificity is appreciated so I can do my research)
Reader with Disabilities (specificity appreciated for same reason as the last one)
ND and Autistic reader (anything specific to you can also be requested)
Reader with a particular style (punk, gyaru, scene, etc.)
Arospec/Acespec readers
I think that’s all I needed to disclose
You can do asks about non-fanfic related things if you’d like, but nothing too specific :D Enjoy my blog <33
