#it's strange to have a self contained perfectionism. i know other people who wish they could control other people out of being chaotic.#people who try to make everything black or white. people who want to always be in control of their situation and the big dangerous vehicles#they travel within. but that's not how my control issues manifest. i think people are allowed to be messy and irratic. i like when#situations and ideas are nuanced. i would rather not be in complete control of my surroundings. the only thing i need complete and utter#control of is myself. i am not allowed to be messy. i want everything about myself to be black or white. i want to have complete control of#this human vessel. my perfectionism is self contained. and its deeply irrational. and deeply frustrating because my perfectionism is#imperfect and lazy. because im getting better and its difficult but easier than i would have expected. and rationally i know thats a good#thing but then all i see is my lack of conviction. if i was more perfect i would be worse. if i was more perfect someone would have noticed#how sick i was or would have actually said or done something. someone would have stopped me. so i wasnt really that sick and im not really#that sick now. and its not a big deal. because it all seems so easy now. so it seems like i was just a slightly odd very quiet kid with#control issues who stopped eating and never learned how to take up any space. and i get so fucking frustrated at every doctor i talk to#because they all treat me so gently and talk to me so cautiously and i know thats their job and i know they're saying the right things. but#its not like i stumbled blindly into this. i did it intentionally and maliciously. i know its a road paved in suffering and ending in death.#that was the point. this wasnt born of vanity it was born of malice. and youre only worried now because im telling you to worry so shut the#fuck up and let me fix my own problem. its just that i never intended to make is this far and that me of the past was trying to poison my#future. so i have 15yrs curroded and spongy from wishing death upon myself. and now that the idea of my box of ashes sitting on my dad's#mantle next to my mom's rips me apart i have to find a new path forward. even when all i can think is that i still wish i was worse#resenting that i have to get better when it feels easier to be distructive. if you hand me a knife my instict is to twist it in my gut. so#what now? its just irritating. because i always was and remain a picky eater so i have to choose to choke down whats on my plate.#anyway. just another adventure in the eternal paradox of internal perfectionism while being a compulsively analytical ecologist.#unrelated

i had $9 and no self control so i own it now lmao, but can’t devour it yet because i bought it from my ✨phone✨
but i look forward to checking it out!!
more doc!sol au shit
vace’s augment? is not biggus dickus. it’s called “well-endowed”, because the helios gene technicians are morons—and vace definitely likes to mess with people with that—but one: that’s just. why? and two: it’s really kind of useless? like, that ain’t gonna help all your soldiering.
it’s actually, essentially, hardiness. this bitch can take a hit. he is “well endowed” with a stronger constitution overall. harder to take down, harder to keep down, and yeah, insanely cocky about it. but also he absolutely lets people draw their own conclusions because he knows what conclusions they’re going to draw. and it’s funny.
#now i have TWO dollars#and still no self control RIP#but i NEED all the information available#because i’m terrified to be incorrect publically

One thing I wish was understood a bit better about Twisted Wonderland.
Everyone in this game has trauma or personal struggles and it's NOT a competition of who has it worse. Honestly, sometimes I wish everyone's traumas were discussed more in depth in the game like we get with each person who Overblots, but we don't have time for it. With the Overblot boys, their trauma is shoved directly into the spotlight and we hear exactly how their situations make them feel. But the rest of the cast, ALL of them, have personal struggles and/or trauma. This is just a small list of some of the issues each non Overblot student has.
Ace masks the fear he feels in a lot of situations, and he's got an inferiority complex on some level. Notice how he bullied the player and Grim in our first interaction? That is a sign of someone who is looking to feel better by pushing someone else down because they don't feel good about themselves.
Deuce grew up with a single mother who had to work multiple jobs to make ends meet, which causes him to worry about her, and he was a delinquent in middle school, which made his mom, the one person he worries over, cry. He lives with those regrets, but he's still got those old habits and he agonizes over the fact he's not academically where he'd like to be and his behavior regresses when in heated situations.
Trey has severe trauma at being screamed at for FIVE HOURS over giving Riddle ONE slice of tart, so much that his vitals are severely affected at the thought of Mrs. Rosehearts and he's heavily conflict avoidant.
Cater has had to move all the time and as a defense mechanism, refuses to be honest or get close to people because he doesn't want to get attached only to be ripped away from them.
Ruggie lives in EXTREME poverty when not at school. He struggles to make ends meet and he has to work so hard in a system that is DESIGNED to keep him in poverty, because many beastmen still prefer segregation in the Sunset Savannah.
Jack has one of the healthier mindsets, but he still struggles with being open and honest about his feelings, which makes it hard to have friends, and he struggled with watching Leona, someone he's idolized, fall short of what he believed of Leona.
Jade and Floyd are implied to have grown up in some form of crime family and both seem to have handled the fact their lives could be in constant danger differently. Both like things being interesting, but Jade seems to prefer seclusion and control, while Floyd enjoys scaring people off and having as much fun as he can before he goes.
Kalim is someone who has had multiple assassination attempts on his life, even from his own family. He masks behind a smile, but he's afraid to trust people, and when he DOES TRY to talk about it, it gets brushed off because he has money. Also, he has to deal with the fact Jamil has been undermining his ability to progress by not treating him as if he's capable at all.
Epel has been teased and bullied on how he looked to the point where he started instigating fights to ensure he wouldn't be teased. He also has to fall in line with what Vil wants because he made the error of picking a fight with Vil and getting his butt HANDED to him. To further add, Vil is NOT NICE about it when Epel resists, with one example being Vil grabbing him by the ear and pulling hard as a form of punishment.
Rook has deal with the fact that for being someone who is super perceptive and can notice details, he didn't realize Vil's feelings around Neige, likely because he was blinded by his own admiration for both of them and that's a bitter pill to swallow.
Ortho has to deal with being basically created as a replacement for dead Ortho Shroud, trying to figure out if he's just really a robot made by Idia with really good AI or more than that, and dealing with the fact he loves his brother so much, but his brother doesn't take care of himself and it's disheartening to watch Idia's self-destruction.
Lilia has so much war trauma, losing his loved ones, having been exiled, and so much other crap. Even so, he forced himself to put the war and his trauma about it in the past, where it belonged for the sake of his two sons who both lost so much to war, which is something Baur/Baul could NOT do which was to Sebek's detriment.
Silver has had to live with the idea that his adoptive father would likely outlive him, then is faced with the fact that his father is basically abandoning everything about their life in Briar Valley before he learns that his biological parents were the enemies of the person he serves and cares about, Malleus, and the only father he's ever known.
Sebek has grown up with internalized racism/speciesism against humans thanks to his upbringing and he basically rejects half of his heritage with how he treats his father. He does not even realize how hurtful his comments are until he's faced with those remarks being directed at him by a younger version of his grandfather.
And this isn't everything each student has to face. This is just broad strokes. Yana Toboso wrote a story about flawed people who all have gone through really hard and difficult things because that's the point. As Toboso said in a 2023 interview:
“Happy endings in Disney works come from righteous actions and love, but I believe that the villains are characters who do not get saved during the story. That is why, through this game, I want to portray the message that even if you get beat up all the way to a bad ending, you can grow from it and live your life without feeling discouraged.
Acting lame, obstinate, without hesitation, being open and honest—it’s not as bad as it sounds.
I would like to paint a positive picture of living honestly with yourself and not worrying about others.
In today’s society there are so many people who live in fear of failure and are always walking on eggshells, but nobody’s flawless. It is exhausting to try to live your life so that no one will hate you.”
Everyone, even people you don't know or do not like, have gone through things that shaped who they are. Sometimes, how we've adapted to handle the bad things that happen will force us to hit rock bottom. But you don't have to die when you hit rock bottom.
You can have terrible things happen to you and have maladaptive strategies to handle your experiences, but you aren't stuck that way forever. You can learn how to change your habits, learn to be okay with yourself, and work at being better than you were the day before.
Human growth is not linear. It's a bunch of taking steps forward and backsliding and learning and making mistakes over and over again and accepting failure, not as a testament to your character, but as part of the process of growth... and that's something all the students have to learn, not just the Overblot boys. Because all of them, every single one, are handling their own personal issues, even if it isn't shoved right in our faces.

"Please."
The villain raised an eyebrow, but didn't otherwise look up from their desk. "You can walk out of that door any time, darling. I'm not stopping you."
"I'd come back. It wouldn't - I don't want to break our deal."
"You don't want the consequences of breaking our deal. You absolutely want to break it."
"People are dying," the hero snapped. "I can help."
"Mm, of course you can. You're a miracle on legs."
"I'm just suggesting a pause," the hero said. "A temporary change of terms. That's all."
"And I'm just saying no."
The hero stopped on the other side of the table, fingers digging into the fine wood in an effort to control their temper. They took a deep breath. Released. Another.
"I'm still yours," the hero said. "I'd still be yours."
"Always. But N-O spells no."
"I'm begging," the hero said, through gritted teeth.
"Is that what that is?" The villain finally deigned to glance up. Their eyes - a dark and stormy night for all bad things to happen in - did not match their light tone. The amused curve of their slight smile. "Gosh. Your standards are slipping. You're not even kneeling or anything."
"Would you say yes if I knelt?"
The villain's head tipped to one side. "No," they said, after a long moment. "But I'd sincerely appreciate the view. Perhaps it might even distract you from this latest bout of self-loathing."
"Screw you."
"But it's so much more fun when you do it, dear."
"This is serious!"
The villain scoffed and merely pointed a finger at the door, expectant and waiting.
The hero's jaw clenched hard enough to hurt but they didn't move.
"Mm," the villain said. "Are you kneeling or are we done here?"
The villain could have lied, they knew that. They could have pretended there was a chance that they'd say yes. They could have offered false hope, only to rip it away again once they'd had their fun.
In the grand terms of their arrangement, the villain had done absolutely nothing wrong. They were even, in their own particular way, being kind.
There was a bitter taste in the hero's mouth.
"It's bad out there," they said, voice cracking. "People need me. They could - maybe it could be fun. You've never played at saving the world, have you? We could do it together. Go together. It could be an experiment. A game."
"Perhaps," the villain shrugged. "But I don't think that would be very good for your mental health."
"This isn't very good for my mental health!"
The villain simply looked at them.
The hero could leave. They could end the deal at any time.
But, then, the villain would simply leave too. An apocalypse slipping free of its gilded cage. The horrors on the TV would seem mild compared to the fight to come.
"I could be back in an hour," the hero said. "You wouldn't even notice I was gone."
"And I could end the world by lunch time," the villain said. "You'd be dead before you had time to be too distressed. What's your point?"
"You really don't care what's happening out there?"
"No."
"You have to care."
"I don't."
"If you're worried I'd get hurt-"
"-I'm not. I'd slaughter anyone who tried to hurt you before they got the chance."
The hero's mouth dried. Their fingers flexed on the table. They wanted to scream. Fight. Throw things.
The villain leaned back in their chair and sighed, at whatever they read on the hero's face.
"You are saving the world, love," they said. "You're here. With me. Do I need to prove that I still have teeth?"
"No," the hero said. "I - no. Thank you."
The villain nodded, just once. "Good. Come here."
"It's okay. I - I'm okay."
"You're not. Come here."
Feeling foolish, and furious, and raw, the hero rounded the desk. The villain's arm wrapped around them, pulling them close. The grip was painfully tight, mercifully impossible to wriggle free from, and so the hero had to settle against them. They could hide the prickle of tears against the deceptively vulnerable line of the villain's neck.
They stayed like that until the hero could no longer hear the screaming beyond the window.

Toji with a puppy girl👀
Nah cuz puppy!reader…x wolf!toji‼️⁉️ GOODBYE YALL🫡
Alright imagine wolf cop!Toji and puppy!reader who accidentally got caught speeding and acting all fidgety and nervous when he made her roll her window down. Wolf cop!Toji’s leaning against your car door, merely asking for your driver’s license and you’re already shaking in your seat.
The first thing you did was trying to explain why you were speeding just a little, to buy some heat suppressants and Toji could see that you weren’t lying about that. Puppy girl is all sweaty, your eyes are droopy with indecipherable lust and your aromal pheromones were begging him to breed you. He is a servant of the law, supposedly having to be professional on his job, but fuck did he want to help you with your heat.
He doesn’t know the extent of his self-control and he has no interest in testing it today—so he promptly sends puppy off with a warning, he’d better not catch you speeding again.
The next time he saw puppy was a few seasons later—when he was passing by an alley on the way home from dinner with the chief. There was a little yelp of desperation, and what seemed to be someone calling for help. He could smell the scent fraught and despair, along with a familiar whiff of feminine pheromones.
Stalking into the tenebrous alleyway, he found you cowering all scared over the corner, ears back and tail between your legs as a hooded male prowled closer to you.
Without much thinking, Toji hauled the male away from you, smashing his frame against the wall before locking his hands behind his back.
The man tried to fight back but it was all simply in futile. He could try all he want but Toji would still have him subjugated under his strength. Ripping the hoodie off of him, and as his features were described; it was the serial rapist around your area.
“Oi!” he called for your attention, sobbing as you shut your thighs tight together. Get my phone outta my pocket.”
You did as you’re told, dialling the number he chanted aloud and soon the cops were there to bring the male under custody.
“Thank you for saving me, sir,” you spoke to the intimidatingly huge wolf. And Toji returned with a terse ‘welcome’, noting the crimson blush you wore underneath your cheeks and your strong intoxicating scent; it made his head heavy and the world seemed to whirled in his sight.
“Yer’ alright?” his voice was comfortingly deep, the grizzly pitch scratching the nerves in your ears. You’re practically sweating, and acting like how you were the first time he saw you. “Why are you out here alone this late?”
“I was going to get some heat suppressants and my car was getting fixed. So I had to walk…” you embarrassingly cried. Fuck, he swore in his head, not again. The officers were busy with the rapist bastard and letting you continue your walk alone seemed unsafe. So, he’d better send you back as quickly as possible and get on his merry way home.
Or so he thought.
“Please, please, please…!” you tearily whined, rubbing yourself against his knee, nose buried deep in his neck, breathing in his manly essence. Toji was beating back a groan, your scent punching his nostrils and messing up his heartbeat. He was supposed to drive you home, and somehow you’re straddled on top of him just as he has reached your home.
“Hey—”
“It hurts s’much, sir!” you’ve balled his shirt into your fist, staring at him with those wet puppy eyes. It’s your hormones against his instincts, and he has to put himself under control no matter what. “The toys are no use, I can’t do it anymore!”
“Where’s ya suppressant?” Toji sighed as he rummaged through your bag, his thigh began to dampen and the bulge in his pants pumped against the restraints of his brief as it grew in size. You didn’t manage to buy it, did you?
“Please, save me,” your voice broke as you cried, desperation oozing out of your eyes along with your tears. He could feel your pulse through his pants and your drenched panty, and fuck were you pushing him towards the edge of his limits. “It’s just this once, please…!”
Your words were the breaking point that wrenched the very last of his self-control out of his wavering self. But rules are still rules, and he worked quickly to call his partner, instructing him to help log out of his shift system for him. You were practically all over him when the phone call ended, your little teeth nipping and licking over his saliva-coated neck.
“Bad girl,” Toji clicked his tongue, his voice was low, almost predatory with a growl. You let out a yelp when he grabbed your face, forcing your head to the side as to expose the supple skin of your neck. It wasn’t fair for you to mark him without expecting him to imprint on you. Especially when you’d let out your adorable gasps as he sunk his sharp teeth into your flesh, your skin threatening to break and blood ready to flow under the subjugation of his canines.
He would only learn more of the sound you’d make when he pressed a finger against your pulsing clit through your embarrassingly wet panty, teasing and rolling your bud until your body shook and voice begged him to touch you more.
You were all he could smell and hear, his mind and body nearly drunk off of your pheromones that bubbled into the sizzling hot air. And it took the rest of a pathetic amount of restrain left in him not to eat you whole. He would have to compromise on the honey that seemed to coat your skin, sucking and biting the sweetness off of you.
Your gasps turned to whines when he stuffed a finger into your heat, a single digit of his large enough to please your squeezing cunt. But he expected you to take more than that, stretching out your slick-dripped pussy with two of his thick fingers. Your cavern squelched as he slipped them in and out of you, your head growing heavy and your eyesight turning hazy.
“Feel so—nnh, good…!” you slurred through the pleasure that shook your nerves. Your movements did nothing but agitated the bulge in his trousers, and Toji hated being edged of all things. So he had your wrists bounded by his cuffs, your arms raised above his head and your motions then restricted to your hips as you buckled them from the tingles in your core.
Toji smirked through one of the bite he was marking on your chest when he pumped his digits in and out of your sloppy cunt faster, his thumb reaching your clit and stimulating both of them at the same time. You burst into heightened cries as you felt your orgasm coming close, your hips rolling with his thick fingers as they curled over the gummy part of your wall, your eyes rolling to the back of head as pressure started building in your core.
“Mmnh—I’m cummin’, I’m cummin’!” you repeated into a chant, your features twisting to his enjoyment as he watched you come undone from his mere fingers.
From the look of it, Toji knew you haven’t had enough. You were at the height of your heat, any coherence long melted into your innate desires to mate, for hours at least. You tried to free yourself from the cuff he’d locked you in, your eyes raking over his body down to the pumping size in his pants, a spot of pre-cum damp from your doings.
“Please, sir…” you whined through your adorable doe eyes, your craving for his cock to fill your cunt catching up to your limit. “Please fuck me.”
“That’s what I wanna hear,” Toji smirked, nipping the end of your sensitive ear, causing you to shudder from his touch. He loved the fact that he doesn’t have to ask for you to beg for him, his animalistic ego stroked by your adorable neediness.
Your eyes nearly popped out when you watched him unbuckled his belt and pulled his pants down to release his fat cock, veiny and pulsing and ready to pump you full. You were almost too eager to fit him inside of you, your hips sinking down a little too quickly. But Toji was quicker to grab you before you hurt yourself. You were already well prepared, your body releasing all the hormones necessary but still, you were built a little too small for him.
“Someone’s impatient,” Toji chuckled as you wriggled in his hold. Just as he thought, your lips paused open when he slowly sank you halfway down his length, his thick cock pushing against the wall of your tummy, a little bump from the shape of his bulging from the inside of your stomach.
The both of you swore underneath your breaths, and you threw your head back when Toji started shifting into your hips. You were so damn tight and warm and wet that his carnal need to breed hit him like a fucking truck.
His jaw clenched as he forced his whole length into your pulsing hole, your eyebrows furrowed and teeth sunk into your bottom lip from how full you felt. Your breaths left your mouth as dragged moans when Toji began to draw his hips out and into your weeping cunt, slow but deep.
His thumb drew circles upon your hardened clit once again, attempting to ease your clenching hole but it did nothing but tightened your grip around his girth. “You gotta relax, pup,” he groaned into the sultry air, and you cried as you shook your head.
“M’ can’t! Please!” you mewled, rolling your hips for the least bit of friction, itching to ease the tingle between your thighs.
“Fuck,” Toji growled as tears of frustration began forming in your eyes. You weren’t the only one starved for sex, he’s been holding on for so long just not to hurt you. But you’re an eager one, can’t even wait for his cock to start moving and you’re sniffling your tears aback. “You better not regret this,” he clicked his tongue before drawing his hips back, slamming them up into your weeping cunt.
The car shook from the force and a scream lodge itself in your throat, your pussy ached with his cock dragging against your walls, and a pulsing warmth began to swarm all over your belly. “Haah—it’s s’good!” you mumbled unsteadily, your back arching into him and eyes turning crossed.
“I need you to be, shit—clearer, sweet.”
“Your cock f-feel s’good, sir!” you could feel the way Toji twitched inside of you, his pace relentless and rough. It doesn’t take long for you to feel the crack of the pressure in your core, and your released gushed all over his lap and car seat, the scent of your essence making his head heavy.
He doesn’t stop even when your lips spewed nothing but rambles, your drool slipping down your chin and onto your marked chest. Instead, he began to fuck himself into you, harder and faster. Your thighs shook for the way his cock spurred up your insides, it was as if he was trying to bring you apart then and there.
Toji bellowed out a low growl as his nails sank into the flesh on your hips, using your body like a fleshlight and messing up your sore cunt. Your slick cavern hugged his cock tight as he twitched, the nerves on his tip dancing upon the fire of pleasure before you feel a rope of his velvety semen paint your insides white, a wave of orgasm crushing down over you soon after.
You’re too drunk and dumb off his cock to stop him, your eyes rolled to the back of your head and tongue idly lolling out. Toji had spent too much of his time enveloped in your mating pheromones, his hormones raging all over his body, twisting the levels until he was down to nothing but a hulking body of a male intending to impregnate.
Unbeknownst to you, it would take days for a wolf’s rut to wear off.

Lavender and Powder
Pairing: Yandere!Farmer x City Girl!Reader Description: Isaiah, a farmer with a quiet intensity, becomes an unsettling presence in your life after a chance encounter. What starts as neighborly kindness spirals into a chilling tale of control and obsession, leaving you trapped in a nightmare you never saw coming. Warning/s: Yandere | Psychological Manipulation | Obsession | Emotional Coercion | Stalking | Non-consensual Confinement | Forced Domesticity | Dubious Consent | Threats | Intimidation | Mild Physical Violence | Implied Babytrapping Note: I tried to make the reader bratty in the drafts but it doesn't feel right T^T I don't know if the anon who requested this is still lurking here or not, but enjoy! Also, join the taglist by clicking this link! (My interview ended few minutes ago. My brain is toasted af. T^T)

Masterlist | Commission | Tip Jar | Dark Roast 50% off
You’d only been in town for five days, and already you were part of the scenery at Gracie’s Diner.
It wasn’t glamorous, but it was honest work. You didn’t mind the grease that clung to your skin, the clatter of dishes, or the sting in your legs after double shifts. What mattered was that you were earning your keep—paying your bills, fixing up the wreck of a farmhouse your mother left behind, and doing it all without help.
You weren’t here to be rescued.
“You sure you’re not overworking yourself, sweetheart?” Gracie asked as you refilled the sugar jars. She was a woman who wore her sarcasm and worry with the same ease as her eyeliner.
“I’m fine,” you said with a smile, rolling your sleeves up higher. “Gotta pay for a new water heater somehow. Thing practically screamed when I tried to shower this morning.”
“Thought your neighbor offered to help with all that?”
You stiffened.
You remembered him well. Isaiah. The farmer with shoulders like barn doors and calloused hands that looked like they could crush rock. He came to welcome you on your first day with a crate of eggs and a bashful smile. In return, you gave him a plate of spaghetti you made that night, more out of politeness than interest.
You hadn't realized the way his eyes lingered as you handed him that plate.
That in his mind, that gesture sealed a bond deeper than you’d ever intended.
“I told him I had it under control,” you said simply.
Gracie gave you a look. “I know you city girls are all about that independence. Just be careful. Some men ‘round here get ideas.”
You laughed softly. “I can take care of myself.”
⋅ ─ ✧ ─ ⋅
Your shifts were long. The tips were modest. And the farmhouse was stubborn in its disrepair. But you were managing.
Until your truck died.
You were halfway down the lonely road toward your house after closing the diner when the engine sputtered and gave out. No signal. No cars. Nothing but the humming of bugs and the distant rustle of trees.
You grabbed your backpack and kicked the tire, muttering curses.
Then headlights pierced the dark.
Isaiah pulled up beside you, leaned out the window with a smile that looked just a bit too pleased.
“Well, now. Looks like you need a hand.”
You blinked. “Yeah… my truck just—stopped. No warning. Can I get a lift home?”
“Of course,” he said smoothly. “Was just headin’ back from drinks with the boys.”
You got in.
The silence stretched as you talked. You were tired, but adrenaline kept you going. You talked about the renovations, your job at the diner, your plans to eventually turn the farmhouse into something self-sustaining. You didn’t notice the silence behind the wheel. Not really.
“I just think women shouldn’t have to rely on anyone,” you said, stretching. “It’s freeing, you know? To build something yourself.”
His hands clenched the steering wheel.
You didn't notice.
But he did.
⋅ ─ ✧ ─ ⋅
Three days later, the farmhouse was broken into.
You came home after your shift and found everything ransacked. Nothing stolen—just destruction. Dishes shattered. Curtains torn. Couch cushions ripped open like animals had clawed them apart. Your knees gave out. You screamed.
Isaiah arrived before the sheriff.
“Jesus,” he said, crouching beside you. “You alright? You’re shaking.”
“I—yeah—I think—” You gasped. “They didn’t take anything. Just trashed it.”
“No way you’re sleeping here tonight,” he said. “Door’s broken. You’re vulnerable.”
“I’ll go to a motel—”
“They’re all booked for the rodeo this week,” he interrupted gently. “Look, I’ve got a guest room. Just for a night or two.”
You didn’t want to. But your nerves were shot, and there was nowhere else to go.
“Just a night,” you agreed, voice hollow.
⋅ ─ ✧ ─ ⋅
Isaiah’s house was too perfect.
Pristine. Polished floors. Dishes stacked in neat rows. A faint floral scent lingered—lavender, maybe.
“Bathroom’s down the hall. Towels are clean. I’ll get the bed ready,” he said, walking away with your overnight bag like it already belonged there.
You spotted a mug on the counter with your name on it. Painted in soft pastel blue.
“You… had this?”
He smiled. “Felt right. Made it when I heard you took the old place.”
You tried to joke. “That’s… thoughtful.”
He smiled wider.
⋅ ─ ✧ ─ ⋅
You tried to offer him money the next morning, after breakfast. Scrambled eggs. Homemade biscuits. Too good.
“Don’t insult me,” he said quietly. “Just help out around the house, alright? You’re already doing so much.”
So you did. You swept. Cleaned. Cooked dinner once or twice. Anything to repay him for the roof over your head while you called contractors and scraped together the funds for repairs.
But the contractors never called back.
Your calls went unanswered.
The mechanic said your truck was totaled.
You didn’t realize someone else had made sure of that.
⋅ ─ ✧ ─ ⋅
It was a week later when you heard Isaiah on the phone.
The kettle had just started to scream when his voice reached you from down the hall, muffled but distinct. You weren’t trying to eavesdrop—not really—but something in his tone made your body freeze.
“…No, she hasn’t figured it out yet. Sweet thing still thinks this is charity.”
A low chuckle.
“I’ve been teaching her… slowly. She’s adjusting.”
A pause. His voice dropped lower.
“Not yet. But soon.”
You stood there for a second too long. Long enough for the kettle to whistle sharply, loud enough to cover the sound of the ceramic mug slipping from your hands and smashing against the floor.
The tea scalded your bare feet. You barely felt it.
Your breath hitched in your throat as his voice stopped mid-sentence. The sudden silence on his end was deafening.
You moved.
Bolted.
You didn’t think—just acted. Your legs carried you on instinct, slipping on the wet floor, catching yourself against the wall, fingers fumbling for balance. The hallway felt longer than usual. Your vision tunneled, the walls squeezing closer with every second.
You reached the back door.
Unlatched.
Unlocked.
Hope surged in your chest so violently it made you gasp.
You wrenched it open.
Cool air hit your face, the smell of soil and pine and freedom burning in your lungs. You were halfway out—one foot in the grass, fingers scraping the edge of the doorway—
And then a hand, large and brutal, slammed the door shut.
With you halfway through it.
You screamed.
The edge of the frame cracked against your ribs as Isaiah yanked you backward, one arm wrapping tight across your waist, lifting you as if you weighed nothing. You kicked, flailed, clawed at his skin, but he held you firm—an immovable wall of muscle and determination.
“I knew you’d run,” he muttered, breath hot against your ear. His voice had lost the syrupy sweetness he wore like a mask. Now it was raw, cracked, and furious. “Ungrateful little thing.”
He turned, carrying you effortlessly despite your thrashing.
“I’ve done everything for you. Gave you safety. Gave you warmth. A home.”
He slammed the door behind you both with his boot, the echo like a gunshot.
You fought harder.
“I was gonna ease you into it,” he snarled, dragging you past the kitchen. “Let you feel like you chose this. But you just had to snoop, didn’t you?”
He didn’t take you to the guest room.
He took you down the hall, past the door you’d never seen open. The one that was always locked.
He kicked it in.
And there it was.
The cradle. A handmade wooden crib, nestled in the center of a room painted in soft yellows and sage green. The mobile above it spun slowly, creaking on its hinges, casting distorted shadows across the walls.
Everything smelled like baby powder and lavender and something far too clean.
Your stomach turned.
“No—no, let me go—!”
“You’re mine,” Isaiah hissed, slamming the door shut behind you. He twisted the lock before pressing you against it, pinning you there with the full weight of his body. “You fed me that day. You smiled. You looked at me like I mattered. What the hell did you think that meant, huh?”
You shook your head, tears blurring your vision. “It was just dinner—it didn’t mean anything—”
“It meant everything,” he growled, gripping your chin so hard it ached. “It was a promise. A bond. You gave yourself to me when you fed me. You just didn’t know it yet.”
You whimpered as his hand dropped to your hip, then your wrist, guiding you toward the crib with terrifying tenderness.
“You’ll see. You don’t need that diner. You don’t need money or dreams or whatever garbage you believe in. You need me. You need this.”
He pressed your palm flat against the cradle’s wooden edge.
“You need to understand your place, wife.”
You sobbed, body trembling, but there was no more strength left to fight.
His voice dipped lower, reverent and sickeningly soft.
“…And maybe it’s time you give me what I’ve waited for.”
TBC.

𝐋𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐠
At first, Heeseung tries to keep himself together. Tries. His jaw is clenched, his brows furrowed, and his fingers dig bruises into your hips as if sheer force alone will keep him from falling apart too soon. His Adam’s apple bobs as he swallows thickly, sweat dampening his hair at the edges of his temples, and his teeth sink into his bottom lip, hard, trying to suppress the low, guttural groans that threaten to escape with every slow, deliberate roll of your hips.
But it’s pointless.
The moment you tighten around him, drag your nails down his chest, whisper filth into his ear, he’s done for. His entire body jerks beneath you, a broken gasp leaving his lips as his composure shatters in real time. His head falls back against the pillow, exposing the long line of his throat as his lips finally part, releasing the kind of deep, wrecked moanthat reverberates in his chest, sinful and raw.
“You like this, don’t you?” you murmur against his ear, voice thick with amusement. “Letting me ride you like this, letting me take whatever I want from you.” You bite down on his earlobe, tugging slightly, and his entire body shudders. His grip on your hips tightens reflexively, like he’s trying to take control again, but the moment you slam your hips down on him just right, his breath catches, and his jaw goes slack.
“Fuck—” His voice breaks, deep and rough, his brows furrowing tighter as he drowns in the feeling of you. His hands tremble against your skin, and when you lean in close, pressing your lips right against his ear, you feel the way he physically tenses beneath you, how his body twitches every time you whisper something filthier than the last.
“You hear that, baby?” you tease, rolling your hips in slow, calculated movements that have him gritting his teeth, groaning deep in his throat, every muscle in his body pulled taut. “That filthy sound you’re making? So desperate, so fucking wrecked. I love hearing you like this.”
His eyes squeeze shut, his forehead creasing, his breath coming out in shaky, uneven pants as his self-control slips through his fingers like sand. His lips part, forming your name in a choked, needy groan, his chest rising and falling erratically beneath you. He looks so fucking beautiful like this— strong arms tense, veins prominent, jaw slack, brows still pinched in pure, overwhelmed pleasure.
The closer he gets, the more helplessly filthy his expression becomes. His thighs tremble, his hands dig into your hips so tight you know you’ll feel it tomorrow, and his mouth hangs open completely, lips swollen and wet from all the times he’s bitten them raw. His breath comes in ragged, wrecked gasps, and every time you drop down onto him, every time your walls squeeze and flutter around him, his moans turn low, deep, nearly feral.
“F-fuck—baby, I’m—” His voice catches, the deepest, filthiest sound leaving his throat as his entire body jerks beneath you, every muscle coiling so tight it’s almost painful. He holds onto you like a lifeline, his face the perfect picture of a man absolutely destroyed by you— jaw clenched, brows furrowed, lips parted in deep, guttural groans as his climax rips through him, violent and all-consuming.
Heeseung doesn’t just come quietly.
He gasps, groans, moans your name like a prayer, head thrown back, mouth wide open as his body trembles beneath you, thick fingers still gripping you tight, holding you close, refusing to let you go. His skin is flushed, glistening, damp with sweat, and even after, even when he’s still struggling to breathe, his lips stay parted, brows still furrowed like he hasn’t come down yet, like he’s still lingering in that wrecked haze of pleasure.
And when he finally opens his eyes again, when he meets your gaze with hooded, fucked-out eyes, his voice comes out gravelly, wrecked, almost teasing despite how completely ruined he is.
“Shit, baby,” he breathes, licking his lips, looking you up and down with pure hunger. “You’re not done with me yet, are you?”
𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐠
Jay likes to talk. He always has something to say—cocky, teasing, throwing in some smug little remark about how he’s the one wrecking you, the one making you fall apart.
But not right now.
Right now, Jay can’t say a single fucking word.
His head is tipped back against the mattress, jaw slack, lips parted in an utterly ruined, breathless moan. His arms—usually so strong, so in control—are trembling beneath you, hands weakly gripping your waist like he’s barely hanging on.
And his eyes?
They’re shut tight, completely screwed shut, his brows furrowed in pure, overwhelming pleasure. His chest rises and falls erratically, his abs tense and flexing beneath sweat-damp skin, and his lips twitch slightly, trying so hard to form words that just won’t come.
He looks like a man who’s been completely fucked brainless.
But you want more.
“Jay,” you whimper, bouncing on his cock at a filthy, punishing pace, grinding down against him, watching his head loll back further, his mouth falling open as a helpless, deep groan slips from his throat. “Baby, look at me. Open your eyes. Please.”
He makes a wrecked, desperate noise, something between a whimper and a choked curse, his fingers twitching at your hips like he wants to take control but can’t. His lashes flutter, his brows knit together tighter, but he still won’t look at you.
“Jay,” you gasp again, leaning down, lips brushing over his jaw, his cheek, his ear. “Please. Just one look, baby. Let me see you. Let me see how fucking good I’m making you feel.”
A deep, shaky breath leaves his lips, his head rolling to the side, cheeks flushed, jaw tense, but his eyes stay firmly shut. His body shudders as he breathes out a low, broken “fuck”, his voice shaking so much it makes you clench around him even tighter.
That’s what does it.
The moment you squeeze around him, his eyes fly open for half a second before rolling back completely, eyelids fluttering shut again as a deep, wrecked groan rips from his throat. His entire body jerks, his grip tightens painfully around your waist, and his hips snap up into you desperately, helplessly, like he’s chasing a high he can’t handle.
“Angel, I—” His voice is completely fucked, breathless and shaky, words slurring together like he’s lost all motor function. He tries to open his eyes, tries to obey you, but the pleasure is so overwhelming, so brain-melting, that his lids just keep slipping shut over and over again.
“Fuck, I c-can’t,” he stammers, his voice breaking, breath stuttering hard as his body tenses, twitches, spirals closer and closer to the edge.
“Yes, you can,” you whisper, licking into his mouth, moaning softly against his lips as you keep riding him, keep taking him, keep watching him come undone beneath you. “Look at me when you cum, Jay. Let me see you.”
It takes everything in him, every ounce of strength he has left, but his lashes flutter just barely open, and you catch the barest hint of his dark, glossy eyes—glazed, wrecked, overwhelmed—before they roll back again, his mouth falling open in a deep, desperate, completely ruined moan.
His orgasm hits him like a truck, his body jerking up into you, shaking, his breath catching mid-moan as he completely loses control. His fingers dig into your hips so tight it hurts, his abs flexing hard, his head tilted back against the pillows as his jaw drops open, lips forming helpless, broken curses.
He’s gone.
So fucked-out, so utterly wrecked, so deep in pleasure that he can’t even function.
When it’s over, when the last tremors leave his body and you finally let him catch his breath, he still can’t open his eyes. His face is slack, completely blissed-out, his lips still parted, chest heaving, body twitching with the aftershocks.
And when he finally manages to flutter his lashes open, to look at you through half-lidded, exhausted, pleasure-drunk eyes, his voice comes out hoarse, wrecked, and so fucking low it makes you clench again.
“Fuck, angel” he breathes, licking his swollen lips, looking like a man who’s just been destroyed.
Then his eyes flicker shut again, his head tipping back with a weak, blissed-out smirk.
“You almost fucking killed me.”
𝐒𝐢𝐦 𝐉𝐚𝐞𝐲𝐮𝐧
Jake never stops watching you.
From the moment he sinks inside you, he’s completely fixated, eyes dark, wild, blown-out, lips parted as he gasps, his chest already heaving, sweat already glistening at his temples.
When you start moving, when you grind down slow, teasing, dragging it out just to watch him suffer, he whines. Loud.
“Princess, f-fuck—look at me.”
His voice is already shaking, so wrecked, so needy, and it makes you clench down around him just to see what it does to him.
His mouth drops open, his brows scrunch tight, his thighs tremble beneath you as he lets out a desperate, high-pitched moan, fingers digging into your hips, gripping tight like you’re the only thing keeping him grounded.
But then you close your eyes.
Just for a second, just because the pleasure is so intense, just because it’s too much
Jake fucking breaks.
“No, no, no, no—baby, please—” His hands fly up to your face, cupping your cheeks, desperate, frantic, breathless.“Look at me. Fucking look at me while you use me—please, please, princess, I need to see you.”
You force your eyes open, and the moment your gaze locks onto his, he whimpers so loudly it sounds like a sob. His body twitches violently beneath you, his lips wet and parted, trembling, his expression completely wrecked, helpless, slutty.
“Oh, f-fuck—fuck, that’s it, baby, please, please don’t stop,” His voice catches mid-moan, breaking apart, raw and high-pitched. His stomach flexes hard, his jaw goes completely slack, and he lets out this long, drawn-out, whiny little gasp as you grind down harder.
You lean in close, whispering against his parted lips.
“So needy, Jakey,” you tease, letting your nails drag down his heaving chest, watching as his body jerks violently. “You really wanna watch yourself get fucked that bad?”
Jake nods so fast it’s pathetic, his eyes fluttering, barely able to stay open but still trying.
“Yes, yes, baby—please, fuck, I can’t— I need to see you, need to see your face when you break me,” He gasps again, shaking, his breath catching in his throat, his fingers twitching against your skin.
You start riding him rougher, faster, and he wails.
Loud. Whimpering. So fucking desperate it makes you dizzy.
“O-oh, oh my—f-fuck,” His mouth hangs open, panting, moaning, completely overwhelmed, completely gone. His hips stutter, his thighs shaking uncontrollably, and his voice rises, breaking into a string of whiny, high-pitched moans.
But the moment you start to close your eyes again,
Jake grabs your chin, hard.
“Princess, please—keep looking at me, please, please, please, I need you to see how fucking ruined I am for you.”
His head falls back against the pillows, his jaw dropping, his lips parted so wide in a wrecked moan that it’s almost obscene. His eyes flutter but stay open, his fingers digging into your skin like he can’t handle it.
“F-fuck—oh, God—p-please, princess—” His voice breaks entirely, breath stuttering, body trembling beneath you. “Oh my God—f-fuck, I’m cumming, I’m cumming—baby, please look at me while I fucking cum.”
The moment your eyes stay locked onto his,
Jake wails.
His entire body tenses, shakes, jerks violently, his chest heaving, abs clenching, his lips forming your name over and over again in breathless, desperate, whimpering moans.
He keeps his eyes on you the whole fucking time.
Even when he’s spilling inside you, even when his voice cracks into gasps and whines and helpless, filthy pleas, even when he looks so utterly fucking ruined that he can’t even function,
He still won’t look away.
Even after, when he’s panting, shaking, body twitching from the aftershocks, he still has the strength to hold your face in his hands, breathing hard, swallowing thickly.
And with his voice raw, hoarse, completely wrecked, he grins up at you, lips swollen, eyes still full of hunger.
“God, princess,” he breathes, licking his lips, sweaty, flushed, still desperate for more.“You almost fucking killed me. But at least,” His voice drops, filthy, teasing, needy .“You looked me in the eyes while you did it.”
𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐧
You knew Sunghoon would be hot on camera.
But you didn’t know he would look this fucking good.
It starts as a joke, a teasing little comment you make while you’re riding him, slow and deep, dragging it out just to watch him break. His glasses are slightly fogged, his head is tipped back against the pillows, and his lips, God, his lips, are parted, wet and swollen from how often he’s been biting them.
“Let’s make a movie,” you whisper, grinning breathlessly, reaching for your phone.
Sunghoon doesn’t say a word.
He just smirks, but the expression shatters immediately when you start rolling your hips again, taking him deeper, dragging your nails down his abs just to feel how fucking tight they’re pulled. His head lolls back, his jaw going slack, lips parting even wider as a low, shaky groan spills out of his throat.
You aim the camera right at his face.
Fuck, he looks unreal.
His brows are furrowed, tightly drawn together in pure, aching pleasure, his cheeks flushed pink, his eyes fluttering shut every time you squeeze around him. His mouth hangs open, but at some points, no sound even comes out—just sharp, shallow breaths, his throat working as he swallows hard, trying to hold himself together.
You bite your lip, watching him through the screen.
“You should see yourself, baby,” you murmur, free hand reaching down to stroke over his jaw, tilting his face toward you. His skin is hot, damp, trembling beneath your fingers. “You look so fucking pretty like this. All ruined for me.”
Sunghoon groans, low and deep, the sound vibrating through his chest. His fingers flex against your thighs, like he wants to grab you, take control, flip you over and fuck you senseless.
But the second you start grinding against him harder, faster, making the bed creak beneath you.
He shudders violently, his entire body tensing, his breath catching hard in his throat.
And then he falls completely silent.
For a few seconds, he doesn’t make a single noise.
His head tips all the way back, jaw dropped, brows still furrowed so tight they look painful. His lips part wider, but he’s so fucking lost in it that no sound even comes out anymore, just deep, desperate breaths, shaky and broken.
Then finally a low, guttural groan escapes, long and drawn-out, his abs contracting beneath your hands, his thighs tensing under you. His fingers clutch at your hips, but he’s too fucked-out to even hold on properly, his grip slipping every time you move.
“Doll, fuck,” he gasps, his voice wrecked, completely gone. He still doesn’t lift his head, still doesn’t open his eyes.
But you don’t need him to.
Because the camera is catching all of it.
The way his chest rises and falls unevenly, the way his lips stay wet and parted, the way his throat works every time he swallows around another wrecked, whimpering moan.
And when you tilt the camera slightly, making sure to catch the way his stomach flexes every time he jerks his hips up into you, trying to chase his high,
He completely falls apart.
His breath hitches sharply, his whole body going taut, his hands gripping the sheets so hard his knuckles turn white.
Then comes the sound.
The deep, gritty, almost pained groan that tears from his throat as his orgasm crashes into him full-force, making his hips stutter, his chest heave, his head tilt back even further.
His lips stay open, still breathing heavily, his lashes fluttering but never fully closing, his brows still furrowed in that agonizingly beautiful look of pleasure-pain. His body shudders uncontrollably, his breath coming out in deep, ragged gasps, his entire expression wrecked beyond belief.
You stop recording.
For a moment, all you can hear is the sound of both of you trying to catch your breath. Sunghoon still hasn’t moved, hasn’t opened his eyes, his face still frozen in that stunned, pleasure-drunk expression.
But then you press play.
Suddenly, his own moans are echoing back at him.
Sunghoon’s eyes snap open.
His gaze immediately drops to your phone, watching the way his own jaw drops, his own chest heaves, his own body writhes beneath you like he’s completely helpless.
He loses his fucking mind.
“Jesus fucking Christ,” he mutters, swiping the phone from your hands, sitting up, gripping your ass as he watches himself come undone. His lips are slightly parted, his pupils blown-out, his breathing still uneven, but the way his eyes darken as he watches himself on camera is filthy.
He licks his lips, a slow smirk curling at the edges as he glances up at you.
“You turned me into a fucking slut, doll.”
His grip tightens, and the next thing you know, you’re being flipped onto your back, your knees pushed up to your chest. “You better be ready,” he murmurs, pressing a kiss to your jaw, his lips still swollen from moaning so much. “Because I’m about to return the fucking favor.”
𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐨
Sunoo is so quiet at first.
Not because he’s holding back—he physically can’t make a sound.
The second you sink down onto him, his whole body shudders, his chest stuttering with shallow breaths, his head tilting back against the pillow as his lips part in pure, soundless bliss. His fingers twitch against your waist, like he’s trying to grab onto something, anything, but he’s too weak, too shaky and overwhelmed to do more than let them rest there.
The noises he makes? So fucking pretty.
Soft, breathy little moans, helpless whimpers, tiny gasps that he can’t even hold back.
His eyes don’t meet yours—he’s staring at your body, at the way you move on top of him, completely mesmerized. His brows furrow, his bottom lip trembles, his abs tighten, and when you roll your hips just right, his lips part even wider, his breath catching in his throat like he’s forgotten how to exhale.
You lean down, pressing your lips to his ear, your voice low and sultry as you whisper,
“What’s wrong, baby?” You let your tongue flick against his earlobe, and his whole body twitches violently beneath you. “Too much? Can’t handle how good this pussy feels?”
Sunoo lets out a high, broken gasp, his fingers digging into your thighs, his chest rising and falling like he’s struggling to breathe.
Still, no words.
Just whimpers, breathless and desperate, moans that get higher every time you grind down on him.
“You like watching yourself disappear inside me, don’t you?” you tease, dragging your nails down his stomach, feeling the way his abs clench tight beneath your touch. “You like watching me ride you like this—watching me use you?”
His eyes flicker up to yours, glassy, dazed, ruined, and he looks so fucking gone that your stomach clenches.
But he still doesn’t speak.
Instead, he lets out the prettiest, quietest little moan, his hands twitching against your hips, his thighs shaking as he struggles to stay grounded.
“You sound so pretty, baby,” you murmur, pressing open-mouthed kisses down his throat, feeling the way his pulse is racing beneath your lips. “So fucking desperate, whining for me like this. I bet you don’t even know how wrecked you look right now.”
His breath catches violently.
His body jerks beneath you, his lips falling open in a choked, shuddering moan, his head pressing deeper into the pillow. His eyes roll back for half a second before refocusing on your body again, completely dazed.
Still, he doesn’t speak.
Only moans.
Whines.
Helpless, shaky little sounds, breathless gasps, tiny, needy whimpers that slip out every time you clench around him.
But when you start moving faster, bouncing harder, chasing your own high,
His body locks up beneath you.
His thighs tremble violently, his fingers grip at your waist so tight they shake, and his moans turn into a soft, helpless string of high-pitched gasps, each one getting louder, more desperate.
You lean down, whispering, “Be a good boy and cum for me, baby,”
He completely breaks.
His back arches, his jaw goes slack, his brows draw together painfully tight, his eyes lock onto your body one last time before rolling back as he finally fucking lets go.
He still doesn’t speak.
He just moans through the whole thing, soft, breathy, completely overwhelmed, his breath stuttering violently as his hips jerk up helplessly beneath you.
His fingers twitch, his stomach flexes, his legs shake so bad he nearly sobs from overstimulation.
When it’s over—when you press a soft kiss to his lips, pulling back to look at his wrecked, blissed-out face,
His lashes flutter, his eyes barely opening, and he finally whimpers out one tiny, breathy little word, voice barely above a whisper.
“More.”
𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐰𝐨𝐧
Jungwon is your sweet baby—until he’s balls deep inside you.
Then he’s nothing but a fucking animal.
No hesitation, no restraint—just pure, wanton, gut-wrenching, brain-melting depravity.
And his face when he fucks you?
Fucking disgusting.
His lips are parted, wet and pink and swollen, his teeth digging into his bottom lip so hard it turns red, his entire expression contorted in sheer, unhinged pleasure. His brows furrow painfully tight, his cheeks flush deep pink, his jaw clenches, unclenches, his throat working hard as he gasps for air.
But he doesn’t look at you.
Not at your face.
His eyes are glued to your body—watching your tits bounce every time his cock splits you apart, watching your stomach bulge every time he bottoms out.
“Holy f-fucking shit,” he gasps, voice wrecked, raspy, primal, his fingers digging so hard into your waist you know you’ll bruise. “Look at you, baby—look at this fucking mess.”
Your body shakes, your breath hitches, and when your eyes start to roll back,
Jungwon grins.
It’s filthy.
“There it is.” His voice drips with satisfaction, with something possessive, dark, depraved. “That’s what I fucking wanted. That’s what this pussy’s made for, taking me so deep you can’t even fucking think.”
And he does it again.
Slams his cock into you so deep you feel it in your stomach, presses his palm against the bulge just to make you feel every inch of it, watches the way your tits bounce, the way your entire body convulses beneath him.
“Fucking take it,” he grits out, hips slamming into yours, sweat dripping from his jaw onto your chest. “Take it. Fucking take it. Let me hear you scream for it.”
You do. You fucking wail.
And it just makes him go harder.
Makes him lose his fucking mind.
“Good fucking girl,” he groans, head falling back for a second, a deep, primal moan ripping from his throat. “Taking me so fucking deep, letting me ruin this fucking pussy.”
And then his eyes drop back down,
Right to your stomach.
Right to the place where he’s stuffed so deep you can see the outline of him.
He presses his palm against it again, harder this time, growling when your walls clamp down around him.
“Oh my f-fucking God—” His breath stutters violently, his abs contracting, his lips parting wider, his voice cracking mid-moan. “You feel that, baby? Feel how deep I am? Feel how I’m wrecking your fucking insides?”
You can’t even speak anymore.
Can’t even breathe.
You’re just writhing beneath him, sobbing, shaking, too fucking gone to do anything but take it.
And he fucking loves it.
“Shit, shit, shit,” he grits out, his pace turning brutal, relentless, obscene. “I can’t stop, baby—I can’t fucking stop. I need this pussy. I need to fuck you like this. I need to keep fucking you until you can’t fucking walk.”
His voice is so raw, so wrecked, so needy it sends you spiraling.
And when you start cumming again, when your body convulses violently, when your walls clench so fucking tight around him that he nearly collapses,
Jungwon loses it.
His moans turn loud, desperate, frantic, his fingers shaking, his thighs trembling, his breath hitching, his stomach flexing so hard he looks like he’s in pain.
His cock throbs, his rhythm breaks, his moans turn ragged and raw as he slams into you one last time, stuffing himself so deep you swear you can feel him in your fucking throat.
“Oh f-fuck—fuck, baby, fuck, fuck, f-fuck—”
His entire body locks up.
His back arches, his jaw drops open, his breath catches mid-moan, and then he groans deep from his chest, low and long and so fucking filthy you feel it vibrate through your entire body.
He keeps fucking into you, even as he cums, even as his thighs shake, even as his moans turn into breathless, whimpering gasps, even as his grip on you goes slack.
Even when it’s over, he’s still panting, still groaning softly, his head falling forward, his forehead pressing to your shoulder, his fingers twitching against your waist.
Finally—finally—he lifts his head.
His lips are red and swollen, his brows are still furrowed, his cheeks are flushed, his breath is ragged, and he just looks at you.
He slowly lifts his head.
And smiles.
It’s sweet. Soft. Gentle.
The kind of smile he’d give you in passing, the kind that would make anyone else think he’s just a boy in love.
Then he kisses your forehead, presses his lips to your temple, and murmurs—so lovingly, so tenderly,
“You’re so good for me, baby. I just love making you feel special.”
𝐍𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐤𝐢
Sex with Riki never starts serious.
It always starts with smirks, teasing, little half-laughs and cocky remarks that make you want to wipe that stupid fucking grin off his face.
Tonight is no different.
He leans back against the pillows, completely relaxed, arms folded behind his head, legs spread wide, his cock standing hard and flushed between you. His eyes trace your body, lazy and smug, lips curled into that slow, teasing grin.
“You’re taking your sweet time, sweetheart,” he murmurs, tilting his head, watching you hover over him, letting his thick cock drag through your slick folds. “You scared or something?”
You roll your eyes, settling onto his lap, grabbing his cock in your hand just to make him suck in a sharp breath through his teeth.
“You talk so fucking much,” you murmur, dragging the thick, leaking tip against your clit, teasing the both of you.
Riki smirks, watching the way you slide him against your swollen pussy, but his lips part slightly when you start to sink down onto him.
When you take him all at once, no hesitation.
His face completely drops.
The smirk dies.
His lips fall open in a silent, breathless moan, his chest stutters against yours, his fingers fly to your hips, gripping them hard like he just lost control of himself.
“F-fuck,” he gasps, head tilting back against the pillow, throat bobbing, breath shuddering.
His voice?
So soft.
Barely there, a ghost of a whisper, like the pleasure just ripped it straight from his chest.
You can see him trying to fight it—trying to hold onto that cocky confidence.
But the second you grind down onto him, slow and deep, rolling your hips so he’s completely buried inside you—
His breath catches again.
His chest stutters, his lips part even wider, and his voice comes out in the quietest, most trembling little whisper,
“Oh, sweetheart…”
His lashes flutter, his hands squeeze your hips like he doesn’t know if he wants to stop you or pull you down harder, and his head lolls forward slightly, jaw slack, eyes barely open.
“You always get so quiet when you’re about to fall apart,” you murmur, grinning as you reach up, dragging your fingers through his sweat-damp hair.
Riki lets out a small, breathy laugh, tilting his head slightly so your fingers drag along his scalp.
“Mm.” He hums, voice airy, distant, still breathless. “Or maybe I’m just enjoying myself, my love.”
Just when you think he’s still in control,
He grabs you.
Pulls you down.
Presses his forehead against yours.
His lips barely brush yours, but he doesn’t kiss you—he just holds you there, his nose nudging against yours, his breath shaky against your mouth.
He whispers again—so soft, so quiet, so fucking intimate.
“Stay right here, sweetheart. Keep your forehead against mine.”
Your breath shudders.
Your hands grip his shoulders, nails digging into his damp, sweat-sticky skin, because he’s holding you so close, so tight, so desperate.
Neither of you open your eyes.
Neither of you break apart.
Just forehead to forehead, noses brushing, lips trembling against each other’s breath, completely lost in the feeling.
You move again, when you start fucking him properly.
His moans turn into choked, breathless little gasps.
“F-fuck,” he pants, his voice shaking, breaking apart. His hands twitch at your hips, pressing you down harder, forcing you to take him even deeper.
And then he lets out the softest, most delicate little whimper.
So soft.
So breathless.
So wrecked.
His lips brush against yours as he moans, his eyelashes flutter against your cheek, his breath stutters every time you squeeze around him.
And then, so quiet, so trembling, so completely gone,
“Don’t let go.”
His fingers press deeper into your back, his forehead presses harder against yours, his breath turns shallow and erratic.
The moment you whisper, “I won’t,”
His moans cut off into choked little gasps, body jerking, thighs twitching, stomach flexing as he completely fucking falls apart.
He still doesn’t let go.
Even as he cums, hips stuttering, breath hitching, body writhing beneath you, forehead still glued to yours like he physically can’t pull away.
Even as he whimpers your name, voice shaking, breathless, completely wrecked.
Even as his entire body trembles through the aftershocks, gasping for air, clinging to you like he needs you to keep him alive.
He finally collapses back against the bed, still holding onto you, still breathing hard, still moaning softly against your lips,
You pull back, just a little.
Just enough to see his face—his swollen, parted lips, his flushed cheeks, his dazed, heavy-lidded eyes, completely blissed-out and ruined.
When he finally opens them, finally blinks up at you,
A small, breathless laugh escapes his lips.
“Holy shit,” he mutters, still panting, voice so wrecked and hoarse you barely recognize it.
You grin, teasing. “What happened to being in control?”
Riki lets out another weak, exhausted little laugh, his fingers twitching against your skin as he pulls you back down against him, lips brushing your ear.
Then—so quiet, so soft, so fucking filthy,
“Shut up and keep fucking me.”

warnings: 18+, nsfw kinda (?), mostly suggestive tho, dry humping/grinding in public(?) indecency on public transportation. mark grayson. uhh he gets needy n desperate n wants 2 fuck idk
an: i had too much fun writing this icl, was heavily inspired by that one scene where omni man basically holds his head and crashes him in2 a train. don’t ask why idk either :3
This has to be some form of torture, Mark thinks. Not dramatic, just honest. You’d said you wanted the “real” Chicago experience. No flying, no speeding across rooftops, no superhero shortcuts. Just buses. Trains. Walking. Crowds. He hadn’t really thought it through when he agreed—just saw that excited look on your face and folded like a paper crane.
Now he’s regretting every decision that led to this moment. The train is packed. Sweaty despite the cold. Loud. You’re squished into the corner, and he’s right behind you, too close. Close enough to hear the way you exhale through your nose when the train lurches, close enough that his hand keeps brushing your side every time the car shifts.
You’re wearing that jacket he likes. He’s not supposed to notice that. But it smells like your perfume, and it’s driving him insane. You shift slightly, trying to make room, and it just presses your back more into his chest. He swears under his breath and stares hard at the wall.
This was supposed to be cute. An adventure. Maybe even romantic. But it’s turning into a slow, claustrophobic descent into madness—where he’s hyper-aware of every inch of you and desperately trying not to show it. You turn your head, looking back at him and say, casually as ever, “You doing okay back there?”
“Peachy,” he mutters. You laugh. He feels it more than hears it—vibrating through your spine, right against him. Mark’s been weirdly quiet since you boarded. He’s tall, broad, and currently using every bit of that to shield you from the crowd like some kind of human barrier. In a way, it looks like he’s doing you a favor—keeping the strangers at bay, making sure no one elbows you in the ribs or steps on your shoes.
But really, it’s a favor to himself. Because the moment the two of you got forced into this position—your back to his chest, nowhere to move, barely enough air between you—his body started betraying him.
You can feel it. Every jolt of the train, every hiccup in the tracks, creates a flicker of friction that goes straight to the space between you. And while you decide to stay still for now, pretending to scroll through your phone like nothing’s happening, you don’t miss the way he shifts just a little—like maybe if he angles his hips differently, it’ll stop. Like he doesn’t want you to notice.
Poor thing’s trying so hard to be respectful. But the way your ass fits perfectly nestled against him, the way every tiny sway of the train drags his semi-hard cock right along that curve—it’s making it nearly impossible. Makes his dick throb in excitement.
His fingers are white-knuckled around the rail, jaw locked so tight it’s a miracle his teeth don’t crack. He’s doing everything he can to keep still, keep quiet, keep from bucking forward and rutting into you like he’s lost every shred of self-control. You’re not helping anymore.
You roll your hips, agonizingly slow, grinding your ass right into him, and he chokes on his breath. A whiny, desperate groan rips from his throat before he can clamp it down—so raw and filthy it sends a shiver through you. You feel it through his pants—his cock twitching against you, straining, begging.
He wants to move. Wants to rut and push you up against the wall of this train and grind his leaky, needy cock into you until he’s dizzy. The heat is unbearable. The pressure in his jeans is starting to ache. If he had any less discipline, it’d be over already. Right here, in public. With you.
You tilt your head just slightly, voice sugar-sweet and cruel. “You sure you’re okay, Mark?”
He breathes in sharp through his nose, exhales even slower, and clenches his jaw hard enough to ache.
And right then and there, he decides this is the last time he listens or agrees to partake in these dumb ideas.

ᡣ𐭩 LOVERS ROCK
FEATURING: dazai osamu
SUMMARY: there are very few things that leave dazai osamu at a loss for answers. you are one of them. more specifically, it's your relationship (is this a relationship?) with him that has him so disconcerted, and dazai is getting to his breaking point.
(wordcount: 3.6k; nsfw [kind of, very suggestive so will label nsfw], ada!reader, dazai has SEVERE trust issues & paranoia, this is set like half a year after he joined the ada, dazai also has a bad relationship with sex that is mentioned in his narration, he is terrible at communication too, accidentally hurts reader a little [nothing major])
AUTHOR'S NOTES: hiiiiiii guys <.< so i'm actually really proud of this ehehe. this is a universe that i'm tempted to expand on like wykyk, but we'll see.
Dazai hates giving up control.
Ever since he was a kid, he’s been hyper-independent. First with his family, because they were never around and he had to learn to be self-sufficient otherwise he’d die a slow, painful death. Then in the Port Mafia, he quickly learned that asking for help is a weakness and being dependent on others is a vulnerability that people would take advantage of to subvert his influence and usurp his position as an underboss. As long as he’s remembered, it was all but a death sentence to rely on any other than himself.
It wasn't until he became a member of the Agency that he finally began to allow himself to depend on others—banking on Ranpo and his mind, Kunikida and his ideals, Yosano and her tenacity. But even then, he never allowed himself to lose complete control over a situation, drawing things out in a way that would always leave him with a firm hand guiding the chess board.
Until he met you, at least.
He wasn’t sure what made you so different—he still isn’t entirely sure, it’s a thought that frequently plagues him, and because of it, he can never allow himself to be fully comfortable with you. You joined the Agency a month after him with lips that spoke pretty words and gave him even prettier smiles. You’d been kind to everyone, but Dazai likes to think you were especially kind to him. Maybe it was just his imagination, but Dazai liked the idea of it.
Well, he didn’t at first.
In fact, he was rather hostile to it. To you. The longing he felt for the casual, soft touches you laid upon the other members of the Agency felt more like a weakness than anything else. It scared him. He’d never desired anything of the sort before, he’d always been okay on his own—thrived in it, really—and now he was suddenly seeking you out at all hours of the day, and he didn’t even fully understand why. Every time he sought you out, it ended poorly with him saying something uncalled for and your expression twisting as you tried to hide your hurt.
And yet he still continued to seek you out. He made the same mistake over and over again: constantly forcing himself into your space after getting jealous watching you doll out casual affection to the other detectives, waiting for you to give him the same attention, and then lashing out in some manner when you finally did.
He supposed it didn’t help that Dazai was uncomfortable in general with people touching him, which naturally made him even more hostile because why was he longing for something that made him uncomfortable?
He also still isn’t sure how you managed to break through all of his walls—or why you even persisted when it became clear that he was at best incompetent when it comes to dealing with real emotions, and at worst, borderline malicious.
But you did. And it scared him. Scares him.
Dazai lets out a shaky breath when he feels your lips ghost against his neck, fingers twisting the sheets below him. Your hands are sliding against his sides, gentle and soothing, and a part of him wants to melt into the sheets while another part of him wants to flip the two of you around, press you back down into the mattress and rip control over the situation back from you.
As if you can sense his conflict—maybe you can, Dazai has come to realize that unlike everyone else at the Agency, who he can fool with his mask of exaggerated dramatics and clownlike behavior, that you had somehow learned how to see right through him—you pause for the sparest moment and trace your lips back up his neck to brush them against his own, soft and comforting, as if to soothe his discord.
And it works somehow. Dazai doesn’t know how you do it because he can’t even quell his own mind when it starts to spin out of control, but the brush of your lips against his is enough to ground him again.
“Everything okay?” you ask quietly, eyes searching his face for the answers that he knew his lips might not give.
“Yeah,” he breathes out, voice rough and cracking over the word.
He thinks maybe a part of it is the way you always check on him to make sure he’s doing alright. For Dazai, sex has only ever been transactional—he was young when he was first carted off to a whorehouse so he could be taught how to use his body for intel and other miscellaneous advantages. No matter how hard he tried to enjoy it, he always found it to be underwhelming at best and loathsome at worst. And he did try to enjoy it, he forced himself to seek out women in his free time to try to learn to enjoy the activity that so many other people seem to find comfort and pleasure in.
It wasn’t until you that he could.
His first time with you was earth shattering. He’s not exaggerating when he says it completely altered his perspective on intimacy. It was embarrassing, almost—he remembers giving you quick, flirty smiles, and he remembers the sly comments he whispered to you at the bar the members of the Agency were at to celebrate Yosano’s birthday.
He knew that morning that he wanted you in his bed by nightfall—partly because he thought it would get you out of his system, that maybe all he needed was a good fuck to stop acting like he was brainless whenever you were around, and partly because he was curious. He was curious to know if that genuine demeanor of yours continued behind closed doors, or if it was all just a mask you liked to put up in public.
Dazai’s hands were on you before the two of you even left for the night—they were creeping up your inner thigh, lingering on your bicep, he was resting his chin on your shoulder as he stood behind you, warding off any man that might try to approach you with cold looks you couldn’t catch. Eventually, like he planned, you asked him if he wanted to go back to your apartment, and Dazai agreed, of course, eager to get his questions answered. Eager to free himself of whatever shackles you’ve put on him.
And it all went downhill from there.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” you ask again, frown deepening and hands stilling on his waist when you don’t find an answer you like on his face.
Dazai tries to play it off—you’re here for sex, not all of his unstable thoughts. He gives you a practiced smile and slips his hand under your shirt to rest on your lower back, pulling you firmer against him—an easy tactic, one of the first he learned to distract his partner when he slips up.
He should have known better than to think you would fall for it.
Instead of returning to the lingering line of kisses you were leaving on his neck, you sit back to study him, and Dazai feels seen. He shifts under your scrutinizing gaze, averting his eyes to the ceiling and counting the seconds that pass as he waits for you to ask that dreaded question.
“What's wrong?” you ask him quietly.
Dazai can evade it. He knows that he can—even if the sex is ruined, because he knows you’re not going to have sex with him if you think something is wrong, he can evade this question by refusing to answer. You never press it, although sometimes your lips curve down in a disappointed frown that makes him feel even worse than before.
But Dazai finds himself hesitating.
“I-“ he starts to say before cutting himself off abruptly, horrified by the realization that he was just about to admit to you what he was thinking. “Nothing.”
The anticipation that had sprung to your eyes when he started to speak dissipates when he blows you off, and it makes his chest tighten. He feels your thighs tense and knows you’re about to get off of him, so his hands fly to your hips to keep you in place.
“Something,” he corrects, voice just a little too raspy for comfort. “… Something.”
You settle back down on top of him, tilting your head to the side.
“Tell me?” you offer quietly, your hands drop to his arms, sliding up and down the bandages that cover his forearms slowly. Soothingly. He hates it.
“I just don’t understand this,” Dazai admits. “It’s… confusing.”
It's possibly the first time he’s ever spoken these words out loud. It’s a weakness he’s never allowed anyone to be aware of—even when Dazai has no idea what’s going on, he’s careful to put up an impenetrable facade of confidence, one that even the keenest eyes can’t see through.
And here he is, bare of masks and facades, admitting his weakness plainly to someone who could easily take advantage of it.
Oh.
“This as in…?” you prompt with a pondering frown.
Is that it?
“This,” he repeats more insistently as his mind races. “Us.”
You, he accuses silently.
You have the ability to destroy him. Dazai realizes, disconcerted, that this is what is confusing him. He's allowed himself to be weak in front of you. He's lowered all of his guards. He's let you in through his many walls of defenses. You’ve settled down in the treacherous beating thing in his chest that he’s tried to rip out too many times to count, and Dazai waits for you to take advantage of it. He waits for this to go wrong. Waits for you to prove yourself to be a Trojan Horse in the form of dazzling smiles and a beautiful face.
But you don’t, and that’s what Dazai just can’t understand. He doesn’t understand what you’re getting out of this—he knows what he’s getting out of it. He’s getting comfort, he’s able to pretend he’s capable of being loved, he gets you. But you’re not getting anything out of this, so he feels like he’s just been biding time before the other shoe drops.
“… What about us do you not understand?” You sound perplexed, and it agitates Dazai. Worse, you can tell it agitates him because immediately you run your thumb over the pulse point on his wrist to soothe him. You add quickly with a small smile, “I'm not understanding now, help me?”
It is beyond disconcerting that even though he knows it was a ploy to distract and soothe him, it works anyway. Dazai needs to do something about this.
“What do you get out of this?” Dazai decides to ask the question plainly instead of dancing around his words, partially because of the agitation and partially because he just needs an answer. Desperately. “What do you get out of what’s going on between us? I don't understand why you keep agreeing to meet me, why you initiate it sometimes. I need to know what it is you get."
Sex is transactional—it always is. Each party has to get something out of it, and if you don't know what the other is getting, then you have made a perilous mistake somewhere along the line. Dazai has known this since the beginning, but he allowed himself too long to bask blindly in the comfort of your arms and bed. He can’t keep doing this without knowing what you’re getting, It’ll come back to haunt him.
You’re still confused by his question even with the explanation, he can see it in the way the thoughts race behind your eyes as you try to piece it together.
Eventually you settle on a smile that’s almost playful as you answer with, “You?”
Dazai’s frown deepens at your words, his expression becomes a bit colder. He thinks you’re evading the question because you don’t want to answer it, and that’s dangerous. You joined the Armed Detective Agency not long after him—were you a plant sent to get close to him by one of his old enemies? By Mori? His thoughts start to spiral dangerously. These are questions he should’ve been having months ago when you first joined the Agency, not now.
“What are you really getting?” His grip on your hips tightens. “Tell me. Stop avoiding the question.”
Your expression becomes a bit more alarmed when he closes off from you, he thinks maybe his grip on your hips might be painful from your wince but he can’t afford to let go until he has his answer.
“You, Dazai,” you say again, more insistently this time. “I get you. I get to spend time with you. be with you. That’s what I get.”
“But why?” Dazai presses, raising his voice, holding you tighter. He is hurting you now, he can tell from the way you try to bat his hands away, but he couldn’t let go if he wanted to. His blood pressure is rising as he realizes how badly he might have messed up. All of Ango’s efforts—Odasaku’s last request—all down the drain because of one mistake. “Why? What information are you trying to get? Who sent you? Who are you work-“
“What?” you demand. The confusion in your eyes is almost believable—Dazai thinks you must’ve been sent by someone important if you’re this good of an actress. His thoughts track back to Mori and his mind starts to fog with fury. “Who sent me? What are you-Dazai-I want you because I care about you. I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
The fog clears, Dazai stares at you blankly, hands loosening on your hips. He's not sure he heard you correctly, so he says: “What did you just say?”
Your expression softens a bit, and you repeat, “I care about you. I want you because I care about you.”
“No, you don’t,” Dazai says immediately. Instinctually.
“Yes, I do.” Dazai has never seen you get irritated before, but your face twists when he instantly denies your words. “I do, Dazai.”
“You don’t,” he insists. “You can’t. You don’t even know me, you don't care about me.”
He thinks he almost would have preferred that you had some ulterior motive to this. He hates the way his chest swells with hope—hope is dangerous, more dangerous than any other emotion. Fear, anger, sadness, none of it compares to the light that tries to bloom within his rotted chest. He tries to cut it off before it can spread, but it’s notoriously hard to snuff out; it clings to anything it can get a hold on even as he tries to push it away.
The idea is… more tempting than he expected. It’s concerning, that should be enough to clear his head, but it’s not. His fingers cling to your shirt desperately, he searches your face, trying to find the sparest indication that you may be lying.
He finds none.
Still, Dazai knows better. He knows this won’t last. you’ll find out who he was, all of the things he did, and then you’ll leave him. You’ll see him for what he is, and you’ll leave him. This will never last.
Nothing good ever does for him.
“But I do care about you,” you insist, and you’re cruel now, because you reach out to cup his cheek and Dazai leans into your touch. He can’t help himself from it. “I care about you deeply, Dazai.”
“You can’t,” he repeats, and to his horror, his voice wavers. “You don’t know who I am, you don’t know what I’ve done, and when you do-“
“We all have skeletons in our closet, Dazai,” you interrupt him quietly. “I don't think there’s a single ability user out there that doesn’t. I don't need to know your past to know I care about you.”
That’s not true, he wants to say, but can’t force the words out. Instead, he says hoarsely, “It would change how you see me. I'm not who you think I am. I’m-”
A monster. A demon. His blood is black—has been since the day he was born, will be until the day he dies. He is not someone who should be cared for. He's someone who should be left to rot, someone the world would be better off without. He doesn’t deserve this, not when there are so many other people in the world who are unfailingly good and do deserve it.
“It won’t,” you say again, but Dazai knows it’s not true, you don’t know what you’re talking about. You don’t know how awful he is. You don’t give him the chance to protest though. “I care about who you are today. I care about who you are tomorrow. The day after tomorrow. Not who you were months ago. The past is the past, Dazai, leave it there.”
“It's not that simple,” he rasps.
“It can be,” you say softly, tucking a stray strand of hair behind his ear, “if you let it.”
“It can’t be that simple,” he disagrees. There’s an odd lilt to the voice—pleading, almost, begging you not to give him hope only to rip it away when the truth inevitably comes to light. “It can’t.”
“It can for us,” you tell him again, and Dazai finds himself believing you. Wanting to believe you. Wanting to believe things can just be that simple. That easy.
“Why?” Dazai breathes out, eyes searching your face for answers. “Why me? Why not someone…”
Someone better. Someone good. Someone deserving.
“Because you’re you,” you say like it’s the most obvious thing in the world, you lean down to ghost your lips against his and it fogs his brain with a pleasant warmth he’s only ever felt with you. “Do I need a reason more than that?”
Dazai wants to say yes, because him being him is a reason for you to not want him. He’s despicable, he’s cruel, he lashed out at you for weeks all the while forcing himself into your space because he wanted to be near you but didn’t understand why.
“I love your smile,” you say, thumb running along his bottom lip, “and I love even more when I’m the reason for it.”
“But-“
“And I love your eyes,” you continue, fingers trailing up his face to trace under his eyes. “I think they’re the prettiest shade of brown I’ve ever seen.”
“I know that’s not true,” he rasps—he knows very well that his eyes are unnerving, too black and too empty. People have been unable to look him in the eye for long even when he was a kid. “I-“
“But most of all, it’s just you,” you say softly, cupping his cheeks with both of your hands. “You make me happy. I like being around you. I always look forward to the time we get to spend together—missions, at work, after work. I’ll take you in whatever way I can get, Dazai.”
You don’t let him avert his gaze this time, you force him to look at you, force him to see the truth of your words reflected in the adoration on your face. No one has ever looked at him like this before, and it makes him feel bare. Seen. He’s always felt seen with you, but never like this.
“I was… mean to you.” He still tries to argue with you, lashes fluttering shut. “I was cruel for months because-“
You laugh at him. “Mean? You were like a puppy trying to snap at my hand to scare me off.”
Dazai gapes. “A puppy?” he demands, seriously offended. “Don’t compare me to a dog. I’m more like a… A…”
“A…?” you press, a pretty smile flickering at your lips.
“A panther,” he supplies confidently.
“A kitten,” you correct.
Dazai groans dramatically, flinging his head back, but he finds himself smiling. He finds his chest full of warmth, light and bubbly, and when he looks back up at you to meet your eyes, he finds the same emotion swimming on your face. He thinks again that no one has ever looked at him like this before—not with such fondness, not with adoration, not with…
No, Dazai doesn’t dare think that word.
“I care about you too,” he admits. He’s hesitant, like he’s scared to say the words out loud.
“Even with all of the skeletons hidden in my closet?” you tease, leaning down to brush your lips against his again, and then a second time, and then a third. He basks in it, eyes sliding shut as you kiss him gently—it takes a few moments for your words to register.
“They’re not worse than mine,” he replies, the pads of his fingers running up and down your thighs absently. After a couple of seconds pass, he asks, “… What skeletons do you have?”
You tilt your head to the side and say playfully, “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.”
Dazai isn’t ready for that, so he just tosses you a smile and a wink before murmuring, “How about you show me something else instead?”
You laugh at that, tossing your head back and giggling so genuinely that your hand flies to your mouth to muffle the sound. His lips part to make another suggestive comment, but he finds himself breathless at the sight of you.
You’re beautiful, and Dazai can’t help but think again that he doesn’t deserve this. You.
“Deal,” you agree.
This time when you lean down to press your lips against his, Dazai’s hands are content to rest on your thighs. His fingers don’t itch to wrangle control from you, and his mind isn’t plagued with paranoia-induced thoughts.
He thinks, maybe, that he can get used to this. Used to you.

Causerie
Summary: You send Arthur a letter. Pairing: Arthur Morgan x female!reader Word Count: 2,185 Tags: Male Masturbation, solo handjob, mentions of oral and unprotected p in v, dirty talk, long distance relationship, high honor Warnings: 18+ MDNI
an: So this came out of nowhere LMAO It's a bit different from what I'm used to, but I ran with it. The mentioned photo was heavily inspired by @sir-walton-goggins's under-the-cut sketch of their OC, Kris Blake. 😍😍😍 I hope you enjoy! Thanks for reading!
Causerie: an informal conversation
Channeling the self-control of a brigade of soldiers, Arthur willed his unruly cock flaccid as he left the post office. An envelope addressed to Tacitus Kilgore in familiar dainty cursive teased him from inside his satchel. The nagging twinge in his gut could only be satiated by his fist wrapped tight around himself in the solitude of his tent.
He didn’t know how he’d make it through the rest of the day without losing his sanity. Once you’d unknowingly planted the seeds, his thoughts of you grew wild and untamed like the weeds at your feet. He’d never seen something so ridiculous—a woman in her day dress, the lacy hem stained with dirt, trying to repair a loose fence post on her own.
“No man ’round here?” he had asked, holding his hand out for the hammer.
“There is now.”
You beamed, your smile stunning him like a camera flash. Unbeknownst to him, that grin was a brand, marking him as yours for a long time to come.
Every time he passed by the quiet homestead, he found himself lightly pulling on Boadicea’s reins and scoping out something to fix. Your ways of showing gratitude, like a hug or kiss on the cheek, turned his neck to shades of crimson, yet he’d still come knocking again some time later. On his last visit, you were dragging him to your room by cotton suspenders, mouth attached to his before he could get a word in.
An innocent lamb you were not—he was sure of it now in a half-daze, hypnotized by your breasts as you bounced on top of him. Matter of fact, you must’ve been a witch or a succubus; he’d never felt so used, drained, and perfectly satisfied.
And guilty, too. He couldn’t even look at you as he confessed to his life of criminality, finally admitting what he’d come to tell you in the first place. After this job, he was leaving for good.
To his surprise, you didn’t put up a fight—just wished him well—and dammit, that made him want you even more. You didn’t follow him outside—only watched from under the blanket as he said his last goodbye and promise.
“I’ll write t’you.”
Receiving your letters kept his heart ticking and dick aching. What started as a pile of polite notes quickly transformed into a library of erotica. His hands trembled in anticipation as he opened the latest letter.
Dear Arthur,
Are you still alive? I hope you haven’t gone and gotten yourself killed. I’m sorry if I kept you waiting. A new photographer opened up in town, and I stopped by the studio one evening just before he closed. I may have batted my lashes and stood a little too close when I asked for his help. A special photo of me would be the perfect gift for my dear husband, who was about to be shipped away to war in the Philippines. You should’ve seen how red he got when I dropped my blouse. I tried to sit pretty. Did it work?
A photo? Arthur checked the discarded envelope, searching for the supposed gift. A small photo was still tucked away in the envelope. He took it out and held it up to the lantern to get a good look.
Christ.
You were directly in the center of the camera with a lazy smile on your face. Pearls adorned your neck, and velvet cloth draped over your shoulders, just barely covering those twin humps on your chest. Fuck, he wanted to rip that photographer’s head clean off his shoulders for capturing you like that, but goddamn, he wanted to shake the man’s hand too. This slip of paper was a slice of heaven on Earth.
And for what he was about to do with it, he was going straight to hell. Setting the letter aside, the gunslinger undressed down to his union suit with the ardor of his twenty-year-old self. As he settled back onto the cot, he locked on to your sultry eyes and sighed contently.
I had a dream about you. Do you ever dream about me?
The bulge in his pants begged for attention, and he appeased it, palming himself idly while his eyes stayed trained on the photograph. He’s too old and weathered for this—pining over some girl and touching himself like he’d gotten a second wind of puberty.
But he couldn’t help it. Even after deafening gun fights and vicious animal attacks, he’d find a letter to re-read, and now he had this picture to accompany his fantasies. His gaze shifted from the photo back to your words on the page.
We were in this beautiful room in a palace or someplace like that, swimming under blankets. It was far from my humble bed, but it felt like paradise.
If only you knew, that little bed was his paradise.
Dream you tasted like whiskey and ash and smelled like leather and gunpowder. I don’t think it was too far off from the real thing. We weren’t wearing any clothes, of course, and your head was tucked between my thighs.
Breath shaking, his hips shifted upward, the memory of your thighs on either side of him overwhelming his senses. Arthur sucked in his bottom lip and didn’t waste any more time undoing the bottom two buttons of his union suit. His cock sprung free, twitching and yearning. Flicking his eyes to your photo once more, his right hand moved on its own, kneading his leaking tip. He peeked over the edge of the paper, watching precum drizzle down his shaft, imagining it was you leaking around him.
Oh, Arthur, I could feel your lips on every part of me at once, kissing up my stomach, bosom, arms, thighs, legs, all over. But when you found my lips again, I don’t know how my pounding heart didn’t suck me out of the dream. Has anyone ever told you how gorgeous your eyes are or how heavenly your hands feel? And your back, Mister Morgan, is like a brick wall. How I wish I could’ve dug my nails into it.
Arthur’s fisted pace quickened as he stifled a groan, trying his very best to keep the sounds of his sin quiet. He urged himself downward into the cot, hoping the friction could mimic the sting of your nails dragging down his spine, but it was no use. Tightening his grip in frustration, he turned his attention back to the photograph of you. He wanted to study your hands, to imprint them in his mind’s eye so he could imagine them scratching his back and pleasuring his cock.
But the photo was too close up, only your face and a peak of your breasts captured at that moment in time. Would he be too brazen to ask for another? To request a pose? Hell—he’d stuff the money in an envelope with a list of the depraved positions he’d like to see you in. Your hands on your bust, legs spread open, on all fours, one with your pretty fingers in your mouth, and a full body shot with just the pearls. Dammit—he’d kill for it.
But then, at the very end of the list, he’d ask for a respectable one. One of you with your hair pinned up under a fancy hat, dressed in your finest, wearing a necklace, earrings, and a bracelet with your hands folded politely over your lap. One that was sweet and proper. One that he could tuck in his journal, frame, or pin up on the wagon. One that he could take out in broad daylight and pretend, just for a moment, that he really was that war vet admiring a photo of his loving spouse.
His hips moved involuntarily again, jutting up into his fist—the placeholder for the pussy of the woman he’d one day make his wife.
I didn’t plan to get you in bed that night, as unbelievable as that may sound. You were just so damn handsome and so so kind. I couldn’t help it. I needed to know how you’d feel inside me. I hope you don’t see me as just some Jezebel.
“No,” he gasped out. Wet sounds of his strokes accompanied his declaration.
I really did and still do have feelings for you, Arthur. It’s quite scary, actually. Maybe that’s why my dreams about you are so vivid? I realized just how much I cared that night, looking down into your eyes. I don’t take you as the type of man to just give yourself away on a normal day like that, so I hope you feel the same way as me. Did I ever say thank you? Thank you for being such a giver. I have a tendency to take, take, take when I’m on top, but you got payback in my dream. You had me pinned under all of your weight, damn near suffocating me. It was the good type, though. When you pushed into me, I forgot all about it. I never took you for an eager man either, but you were drilling me into those blankets with the fervor of a threshing machine. Are you an eager man, Mister Morgan?
He answered in shallow pants, twisting his fist around his length and rocking his hips.
I have a curse of waking up right when I’m on the edge, so as you can imagine, I had a wet problem to take care of. My fingers just don’t quite do it like you. I wish we could’ve had more time together. I get the feeling that you do a lot of taking care of other folks and don’t get that in return. Am I right? I’d take care of you, Arthur. I’d keep your belly full and drain your balls all in a night.
They tightened at the thought, and his hips were a piston now, going up and down on their own accord.
I know you’d never ask because you’re too nice, but I’d get on my knees for you and take care of you in that way. I’m sad we never got to try it, that I never got to taste you. The thought gave me the silliest idea. Are you looking at my picture? Imagine that pearl necklace is your spend on my chest.
Jesus—the perverted imagery hit him like a train. He looked at the pretty pearls atop your chest. Goddamn, minx.
Don’t think me too crass, but do you touch yourself to my letters like I touch myself to yours? Yours are more well-mannered than mine. But still, I wonder, is your fist wrapped around your cock?
“Yes, darlin.”
Goddamnit, he was talking to himself now, arm cramping as he pumped feverishly at his engorged dick, his orgasm waiting to explode behind his eyes.
Do you imagine it’s me instead? I wish it was me. I wish I was on top of you again, milking you for everything you’ve got. Would you give it to me this time, Arthur? Would you spill inside of me?
And spill he did, teeth gritted and grunting, as hot ropes of lust spurted out over his hand. Once again, he’d made a mess of himself on account of you.
Shame crept in as he floated back to reality and stared up at the canvas of his tent. He brought the letter back to his face to read the last paragraph. The least he should do was finish it—dirty old bastard. But when he landed on your words and processed them, he was left with a numb, longing ache in his chest.
If we were together, I’d help clean you up, then maybe we could spend the rest of the night all tangled up in each other. I’m sorry I’m not there to touch you for real, but I hope these letters bring a little light to that hard, lonely life of yours. If I can make you feel good, even from far away, that’s enough for me. I miss you. Any chance you could come see me soon?
Yours.
Arthur sighed and folded your letter back up neatly, tucking it away in his now hollowed-out copy of Rambles Through Woods and Plains. Though your photo and letter were out of sight, his mind refused to wander from the subject of you.
An assortment of motion pictures flickered in his memory: the way your head tipped in laughter at his dry sarcasm, how you so graciously welcomed him to that sitdown meal, the way you worried about him just as much as he worried about you, and how your words, even from afar, brought him unmeasurable comfort. Making it back across the Upper Montana could be a brutal fight, but he’d outrun the law and take a few bullets if he had to. He’d bare it all to bring you back with him.
As he relaxed into the cot, another thought drifted by, small and almost weightless like a dandelion seed in the wind: maybe he wouldn’t have to bring you back at all. Perhaps he could stay right there with you.

LOVED YOU AT YOUR WORST - r.c series - FIVE

pairings: ex!sweethearts; rafe x thornton!reader; rafe x sofia. chapter warnings: mention of pregnancy; abortion; lack of self-care
You’ve had to make a lot of unfortunate decisions in your life.
Choosing a place for your entire family to rest for eternity, picking the caskets, the headstones—it felt like deciding which curtains to buy for the house, except you were burying your entire close family.
After the crash, your parents were gone instantly, just like that—no goodbyes, no warning, just there one moment and gone the next.
But your sister survived. Three days. You thought maybe that was a sign, she’d live despite everything, and you wouldn’t be left alone.
Two weeks later, the doctors told you it was time, but you couldn’t accept it. You held her hand, begging her to stay, telling her every promise you could think of if she opened her eyes.
When the monitors finally went flat, you couldn’t feel anything but desperation. Rafe had to pull you out of there, his arms locked around you while you kicked and screamed, sobbing and begging your sister not to go, not to leave you here.
You fought him with everything you had left, clawing, crying, pleading for just one more second. You were screaming so loud you didn’t even recognize your voice. Everything good had been ripped away from your hands, there was nothing left of the world you’d known.
After that, you remember sitting in some stuffy funeral home office, skimming through catalogs and hardly seeing the pages through your tears. The caskets all looked the same, the types of wood made no difference to you, fabric linings, all of it felt so wrong.
None of it was a choice you should have to make.
It was unthinkable to be contemplating about gravestones. How could you sum up your family in limited words or dates, let alone choose a font for it?
You just picked something neutral and blank, something that didn’t require thought or emotion because, by then, you had nothing left to give.
Now you were trapped again, caught between a rock and a hard place.
Your first thought had been telling Topper, your only real family left, but he was as much Rafe’s as he was yours, and when it came down to it, he was still his best friend. Loyal to him since they were five, and jesus knows how he’d react if he found out about this. He’d most likely freak the fuck out and tell Rafe everything, thinking he was doing the right thing, or worse, letting it slip to Ruthie.
Ruthie—no chance you’d involve her. She’d just see this as another fucked up piece of gossip she could hold over your head, another way to judge or control you. She was “friend” only in the loosest sense of the word.
Kelce was the last person you’d consider turning to for something this serious. He has always been there, but you never got close. He was too much of an instigator, always pushing Rafe to do reckless things he’d regret later, peer pressuring him in ways that made you wonder if he even knew what loyalty meant. He had this weird loyalty to Ruthie, defending her comments as if she was some misunderstood angel when really, she was just… mean.
So that left Sarah.
It felt weird, thinking of her as the person you’d call on for something so serious, she was the only one who felt… safe. She wouldn’t judge, wouldn’t pry, she’d seen what the worst kind of family conflict could do, and she’d keep this private, just for you.
It’s then you recognized how small your world was. How few people were truly yours.
You were pretty sure no one in this town would fully understand, they’d just offer their "advice," as if they knew you, seen what you’d been through.
The truth was, they didn’t know shit. They hadn't seen you holding your sister’s hand, begging her to stay alive. They didn’t know what it was like to bury everything that made you feel like a person, like you belonged somewhere, and have to get up the next day like nothing happened.
Nine days, you would be halfway across the country, and you needed someone. You pictured saying it out loud: “I’m pregnant", just those two words, to someone’s face, you had no idea what to say next.
Maybe you’d tell them that it wasn’t about wanting it gone out of spite or shame, but because you couldn’t bring a child into a world where you felt this alone.
Earlier that morning, you’d stared down at your phone, thumb itching to click on Sarah’s name, like just pressing "call" could fix everything. You despised how needy it made you feel—reaching out, when you’d prided yourself on surviving alone.
You didn’t have much time to ponder about it, because you were stuck at the beach cleanup.
Just like every other summer, another "social responsibility" event that your late father’s foundation insisted you smile through. Even back then, when they were alive, your summers were a carousel of charity galas, fundraisers, endless hours of small talk, and impeccably arranged seating charts.
The board members of the foundation probably thought it would “ground” you—remind you of your privilege, of your “responsibility” to give back. As if a couple of hours and a few bags of garbage would somehow balance the scales. They never seemed to understand how much of it was all for show, this shallow idea that if you looked the part, no one would care to learn more.
But, still, you’d show up. You always did. Smile, make just enough small talk to appease the right people.
Today, it was just you, a few kids and teens dotted along the beach with oversized trash bags. It wasn’t even noon, but the sun felt like it was scorching you alive. It was laughable, really, standing under this blistering sun with a cheap trash bag and an endless stretch of sand to clean.
Kie, who was so genuinely invested in this whole “save the planet” thing it was almost enviable was there too with JJ, who was running around her as usual, wearing his ‘I’m just here for the ride’ expression but enjoying himself. The love between them made you miss having someone who cared in ways that weren’t just calculated moves.
She waved at you from the shoreline, her eyes moving to the trash bag you were barely half-filling.
You weren’t friends, but if Sarah liked her, you did too.
You offered a faint smile back, tired, because between all the shit you’d been thinking about, you'd forgotten to eat, to drink anything, and every time you leaned down to grab another crumpled plastic bottle or a bit of seaweed-laden garbage, you felt like your legs were about to give out on you.
Every now and then, she would throw a quick, appraising glance your way, like she was expecting you to miraculously become invested in the beach’s ecosystem.
You didn’t have it in you to pretend this was enjoyable today. The “effortless” philanthropy your family loved was a lifestyle you’d never bought into. It didn’t matter how many smiling photos of you had ended up on some charity’s social media—you knew you’d rather be anywhere else.
You had to take a break every few minutes, leaning against a pier post, trying to get yourself together as a few of the younger kids gave you wary glances. You could have left—probably should have.
You managed a tight-lipped smile, giving a thumbs-up that said, Just doing great over here, guys!
You were in a long t-shirt, which hung over your bikini and shorts, the fabric slightly oversized, to help hide what was still a small change in your body. Paranoia was your new best friend, always worrying that someone would notice something different, even if you didn’t have a noticeable bump yet.
Bending down to grab another plastic bottle, you felt a stab of nausea hit you hard, rolling up from your stomach, thick and sour, but you ignored it. Not here. Not now.
You straightened up too fast, and your vision blurred slightly, that familiar sense of vertigo hitting you. You took a shallow breath, ignoring the burn at the back of your throat, your hands shaking slightly as you adjusted the bag slung over your shoulder.
One girl looked up at you with these wide eyes kids like to pull, “Are you okay?”
You smiled, brushing it off as if you weren’t about two seconds away from collapsing. “Of course. Just... need a second.”
The kids were watching you again, with that look of curiosity. You couldn’t look them in the eye. It wasn’t their fault. They just didn’t understand that sometimes the grown-ups didn’t know what they were doing either.
Just a few more bags of trash and you’d be able to get back to your car, maybe grab some water from the cooler in the trunk, sit down, and think about it.
This used to be easy, you got a weird kind of enjoyment from these cleanups, running around with your sister, making it a competition to see who could pick up the most trash, laughing until your stomachs hurt over stupid jokes about jellyfish and sunscreen. Back then, this was just one of a thousand little family traditions, one of those things that felt effortless.
Now, sweat dripped down the back of your neck, making your skin prickle uncomfortably.
You’d long given up wiping it away, knowing that it would only come back thicker and hotter the next second. Every instinct told you to run off to the parking lot, and sit in the car with the AC blasting until your body remembered it didn’t hate you.
Leaning down for one last bottle wedged in the sand, your legs wobbled and gave way beneath you. Just like that, your vision was spotty, as if someone had turned down the brightness on the entire beach, and you pitched forward.
Just as you felt yourself going down, a hand caught your arm, pulling you back up.
"Whoa, whoa, you okay?" A teenage boy, maybe sixteen, gripped your arm firmly, keeping you upright.
How much longer could they realistically expect you to go on, plastering on that sweet, dutiful smile? How much “grounding” could one person take?
You blinked, trying to clear the haze in your eyes, "I’m fine. Just a little lightheaded, really, it’s fine,” you insisted, but then a shadow loomed beside you.
Your vision was so foggy that it took seconds for you to register it.
You looked up slowly, feeling a familiar drop in your stomach as you realized who it was.
The last time you’d been this close to him, the two of you had been screaming insults across the room, Lily having to physically step in. She’d forced him to leave before you two killed each other. It was a miracle you hadn’t punched him then and there.
“You should sit down.”
It felt like a sidekick to your chest.
The sound of his voice was grinding on your nerves, and just like that you were stuck back in your dream, a real memory, leaning against him, his hand playing with a strand of your hair as he laughed at something you’d said, the two of you carefree under a golden sunset.
Except this was real.
Rafe was shirtless, with his board tucked under one arm, surf wax staining his fingers, and the sun glinting off his damp skin, like he was God’s gift to the Outer Banks. His buzzed hair was dark and wet, droplets trailing down his temples and catching along his jawline. His cheeks were flushed, a little red from the heat.
You looked away, somewhere over his shoulder, anywhere but at him, refusing to let him see you in this fragile state.
“Go away. I’m fine.”
But he didn’t move.
He’d been summoned from your absolute worst memories, catching you at your lowest when you least wanted his help. Typical.
“No,” he refused firmly, with that stupid, stubborn look that made you want to throw something at his head. “I’ve seen you almost fall three times now.”
“Maybe if you stopped looking at me like a creep, you wouldn’t have to see me ‘almost fall.”
“I wasn’t—"
You grounded your teeth, “Just go back to surfing.”
Rafe let out a dry laugh, shaking his head as if you were the one acting crazy. “Yeah, 'cause you look perfectly stable right now.”
He'd always been a master of the passive-aggressive half-sneer, the art of making you feel like everyone else was imposing on his day, no matter the situation.
“Don’t act like you care.” you snapped, voice carrying over the sand, earning a few glances from nearby kids.
He ran a hand over his face, looking around as if he didn’t want to be there any more than you did, mouth pressed into a tight line. You wanted to scream that this was his fault too, that every choice he’d made led to you standing here alone, exhausted, and terrified.
“Water would help, y’know”, his tone just shy of patronizing “You can’t go around dehydrating yourself just to make a point.”
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?”
Your fingers twitched with the urge to send him stumbling to the other side of the beach, you knew that any sudden movement would make you light-headed again, and the last thing you wanted was to give him more proof of your weakness.
The kid—still standing there, eyes wide and darting between you both—looked like he was watching a reality TV show when Kiara appeared at your side.
“Let’s not do this here,” she begged under her breath, handing you a bottle of water she’d brought over, a kindness you didn’t want but couldn’t reject. “Just sit down for a second, please?”
JJ followed, always with that air of easygoing nonchalance, but his eyes were serious as he glanced from you to Rafe.
“She’s right. Just take a second, yeah?” He looked over at Rafe, “Maybe you should leave,” he said pointedly.
“Maybe you should mind your fuckin’ business Maybank.”
“Look, uh,” the kid stammered, knowing he could get caught in the crossfire. “I’ll… I’ll go see if anyone needs help further down the beach…”
You waved him off, your focus still locked on Rafe as the kid all but bolted away, you didn’t want anyone to think they had to “rescue” you.
You tried to take a step back, but the little strength you had in you disappeared as you felt your knees wobble.
"Jesus," you heard him groan, and then his hands were on your arms, board on the sand, holding you as you stumbled. "I told you to sit down."
You shook his hands off, "Don’t tell me what to do.”
It was hard to believe the two of you had once burned hotter than any bonfire, two people who got under each other’s skin, in love, and in hate.
He let out an exasperated sigh while you took a sip from the water Kiara handed you, ignoring how your hands were still shaking around the bottle.
She spoke again, trying to be the voice of reason, "We’re here to help the community, remember?"
JJ smirked, "Yeah, think the sea turtles are rooting for y’all to work out your issues somewhere else.”
You ignored his joke, keeping your eyes on Rafe, your pride and stubbornness refusing to let him win, “I’m fine.”
“Yeah?”
He looked you over, his gaze fixed to your warm cheeks and the dewy sheen across your temple, “You look real fine, don’t you?” He didn’t even try to cloak his sarcasm.
God, he could be so exasperating.
He couldn’t understand. How could he even think he could look at you now and know anything about who you were? Standing there, with that stupid board and that look, like he couldn’t imagine anything bothering him as much as this seemed to be bothering you.
As if he hadn’t already ruined you in so many ways that felt impossible to get over.
“Don’t you have something better to do?”
“Oh, believe me, I do,” he drawled, his eyes trailing from the waves back to you.
You were tired of this game, of fighting him every time he showed up only to leave you feeling even emptier than before.
Your fists clenched, and you opened your mouth to hurl something back, but the dizziness hit you again. Before you could compose yourself, Rafe’s arm wrapped around your waist, strong and frustratingly secure, holding you upright with an ease that made your skin crawl.
He had seen you at your weakest, had been there at the hospital after the accident, keeping you together when you were certain you’d break.
Yet, here you were, in a sick way, back in his arms, all broken apart.
“That’s it. I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“I hate to say it, but he’s right,” JJ chimed in, hand shielding his eyes from the sun.
The world alone had all kinds of alarms going off in your brain. You fought back instinctively, your hands pushing at his chest, freeing your arm.
“I told you, I’m fine.”
He let go, but he didn’t back away.
Instead, he narrowed his eyes, “You think I don’t know what fine looks like? I was there.”
He was there. And you didn’t want to be reminded of it, not in front of other people.
He meant the exhaustion and hunger pains you’d welcomed after your family was gone, embraced even, because it meant you wouldn’t have to feel anything else.
You’d wanted to disappear, and he’d been there—dragging you back, forcing you to drink water and swallow bites of food, even when you pushed him away. He’d seen you at your absolute lowest, where you didn’t care if you made it through the day.
The thought of the hospital, tests, questions, you fought it, but your vision was already blurring.
You couldn’t let him find out about the baby.
Your breathing felt tighter, each shallow breath only making the spinning worse, you could sense your body giving in to the exhaustion
“Shit,” you heard him curse, sounding distant now like he was farther away.
You felt yourself sway as if the ground was opening beneath you, there was a ringing in your ears that made his voice sound muffled but you still felt his arms catching you again, holding you upright before you fell.
Waking up in a moving vehicle was like emerging from a nightmare, except somehow, this was worse, because you were no longer at the beach.
You blinked hard, desperate to wipe the fogginess in your eyes and when it did go away, you realized who was behind the wheel.
Rafe.
Your heart pounded—your desperation to keep the baby a secret, how you almost passed out at the beach, and the fact that now he was most likely driving you to the hospital.
“What the hell are you doing?” you practically screamed, your voice hoarse from the lack of water.
He didn’t spare you a glance, “You passed out, genius. I’m taking you to the hospital.”
Your whole body went rigid. “Are you insane?”
“Me?” He scoffed, as he kept his focus on the road. “You practically ate sand back there. You’re not fine.”
“Turn the car around. I’ll call my driver and be fine.” You huffed like he was too dumb to understand. “I don’t need your help.”
He let out a dry laugh, still not looking at you.
“Yeah. You’re out of your mind if you think I’m letting you out of this car right now.”
“Rafe, I’m not kidding,” you warned, louder this time. “Stop. The. Car.”
He gave you a sideways glance, his grip on the wheel tightening.
“Not happening.”
Your heart hammered as you realized he wasn’t going to back down, you were driven by sheer desperation.
“Fine, then I’ll do it myself." you muttered, reaching for the door handle.
Anything to get out of this suffocating car before he dragged you all the way to the ER and they found out you were pregnant—with his baby, no less.
His eyes widened, finally snapping from the road to your hand on the handle.
“Are you crazy? Get your hand off that, I’m fuckin' serious.”
You yanked at it anyway, twisting the handle and pulling with spiteful defiance, and Rafe’s expression went from annoyed to full-on rage. He swerved the car to the side of the road, tires skidding as he slammed the brakes and practically threw the car into park.
Before he could even stop fully, you flung the door open and stumbled out, sandals sinking into the gravel as you stalked away.
You didn’t get more than a few feet, he was already bolting after you.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” you muttered, digging your nails into your palms.
How the hell had it come to this? You were stuck here, pregnant with his child, and he played the reluctant hero like you needed him swooping in to save you.
Rafe reached you in two strides, his fingers were digging into his forehead, pointing at it with exasperation imprinted into every corner of his face.
“Are you out of your fuckin' mind?” He sounded like he was talking to some unruly child.
And the worst part? You could see that frustration in his eyes, the same look he used to give you when he’d reached his limit with you.
You wondered if he ever got to that point with Sofia.
What would he do if she was the one almost fainting? Would he still look like she was some colossal burden, or would he soften, maybe even smile as he fussed over her, acting like he wanted to help?
You hated yourself for caring at all.
Sofia—the one who looked like she'd been ripped off from some perfect postcard, all wide-eyed sweetness and gentle smiles. She probably never challenged him, snapped back, or made him want to pull his hair out.
There was no way he’d look at her like she was a mess, someone he just had to “deal with.” He likely saw her as easy, perfect, all soft and sweet words, everything you weren’t.
This wasn’t who you wanted to be, and yet here you were, stumbling around half-dead and pregnant with his child.
“I’m sorry, am I bothering you?” You spat the words, watching his jaw clench tighter.
He exhaled sharply, rolling his eyes.
“Unbelievable. Only you could take me trying to help and turn it into this.”
You were done. You were done with the memories, with the torment of seeing him be something better for someone else.
“Help?” You laughed bitterly, the anger engulfing you so hard it felt as if it choking you. “You think this is help? That I need you, of all people?”
He took a step back, holding up his hands in mock surrender. “I'm trying to help."
You hated how calm he was, how rational he sounded.
It was maddening when all you wanted was for him to get angry, to let that icy surface crack, to give you even a glimpse of something real, something that wasn’t just irritation or sarcasm.
You wanted proof that he still was affected by you, that this was the same guy who used to be everything, who’d promised you everything.
But you swallowed it down, straightening up, because there was no way in hell, you’d let him see even a hint of weakness.
“Trust me,” you shot back, “I’ll be just fine without you.”
He raised an eyebrow, a bitter smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, “Get in the car.”
“No,” you said, firm and unyielding, every inch of you screaming that you wouldn’t let him decide anything for you ever again.
“Fine. Have it your way.”
In one swift move, he reached out, his hands gripping your arms with enough pressure to pull you forward, lifting you clean off your feet. Your breath caught in a furious gasp as he practically dragged you back to the car, his fingers warm against your skin, like you were just a mild convenience.
“Put me down!”
You struggled against his hold, jabbing at his chest with what little strength you could muster, but he didn’t even flinch, didn’t so much as hesitate.
“Rafe, I swear—”
He opened the passenger door with one hand, keeping a firm grip on you with the other, before finally setting you down—not gently—onto the seat. Without meaning to, tears began falling as you struggled against his hands. You could feel them wetting your cheeks, your voice was breaking, jumping to distress as you tried to twist out of his hold, feeling so small under his unrelenting strength.
He almost knelt in front of you, reaching for the seat belt with one hand, while his other remained firmly on your shoulder, holding you still. You felt trapped, impresioned as you tried to turn in every direction, hands weakly pushing him back, but he caught them effortlessly.
“Stop!” you meekly choked out, failing to shove him, the words coming out shameful.
You could feel your heart breaking all over again.
You hated that he was seeing you like this, how he dared to act like you needed him—it made your skin crawl. You hated that he could do this, like he had any right like you’d ever wanted him involved in this part of your life, let alone now.
This was a version of you only Rafe could bring out.
You glared up at him, practically shaking with rage as Rafe ignored your protests like you were nothing more than a child throwing a fit.
“Get your hands off me.”
His jaw tightened, ignoring the flailing punches and slaps grazing him, and you couldn’t stop the sob that escaped, loud and ugly.
“I’m not letting you kill yourself out of spite.”
Your chest hurt like you’d been run over a hundred times—it felt suffocating. “I hate you.”
For the first time, you thought he might actually leave you here.
His fingers stopped as if your words had made an impact, his lips pressed into a thin line. Your vision blurred as he leaned in, his touch hovering as if to wipe away the tear running down your cheek, but he didn’t, instead, he closed his hand into a fist and drew back, his face just inches from yours.
A faint, humorless smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he clicked the seatbelt into place. He made a low humming noise, that thing he did when he was getting ready to make someone feel two inches tall.
"Yeah? Get in line."
Without another word, he pulled back, slamming the door shut, and walking around to the driver’s side.
You wiped at your cheeks, furious that he’d seen you like this, that he had the power to break you down. It was humiliating, sitting here in his car, every part of your body screaming to escape.
He got in, started the engine, neither of you spoke.
Rafe drove fast, every rev of the engine matching the churning in your stomach perfectly. You sat there, trembling, the dread building with every mile that passed. You gripped the seatbelt so hard it felt like your entire body might go numb, and stared straight ahead, breathing shallow, trying to ignore the sting in your eyes.
You bit back another wave of nausea. Weakness.
You’d already shown him too much.
You didn’t need a lecture from some doctor on how you “should’ve taken better care of yourself", let alone with Rafe there, watching, scrutinizing, acting like this was his business when he’d made it clear long ago that it wasn’t. He was in your space in the worst way, reopening all the wounds.
You were seething. He had no right to do this.
The thought made you want to drop dead—doctor would walk in, casually drop the news about the baby, and you'd be left watching his reaction in real time.
You looked at the entrance to the ER. The vision of anyone running tests, of some well-meaning nurse, coming in and spilling everything about the baby in front of him—no way. You wouldn’t let that happen.
He wasted no time getting out, moving around to your side, while you sat rigidly, staring straight ahead. His hand was already on the door, yanking it open, looking down at you like he was ready to drag you inside if he had to.
You weren’t moving. You knew the second you stepped inside, it would be over.
“C’mon,” Rafe pressed, his hand outstretched, hovering there like he thought he could compel you to listen. “Stop being so stubborn.”
You crossed your arms over your stomach, refusing to meet his eyes.
“I’m not going in.”
Rafe let out a sigh, nearing his limit, and knelt down to your level.
“Look, you passed out. I’m not leaving until you get checked out.”
“You’re gonna be here for a while then.”
“Would you stop?” His voice softened for the first time, as if he was trying to reach some part of you that he thought still cared. “You look like you haven’t slept in days, like you haven’t eaten anything that wasn’t out of a vending machine. I know you don’t want my help, but can you just stop for a second and—”
“And what?” you interrupted.
“And think! If you don’t get in there, I’ll drag you in myself.”
Your heart raced, “You wouldn’t dare.”
Rafe stepped closer; his jaw set in determination. “Try me.”
“You’re not coming in."
He blinked like the idea hadn’t even occurred to him. “What?”
Maybe he was seeing the protection you’d built up around yourself since he left, how there was no longer any crack left open for him to slip through.
“I don’t need you. I don’t want you in there.”
“Fine.” His tone was clipped, restrained. “But I’ll be right here.”
You slammed the door shut behind you, not letting him your legs still shaking. You’d rather collapse face-first into the concrete than give him the satisfaction of listening to him.
“Yeah, you do that,” you replied, turning and walking toward the entrance, refusing to look back.
Stepping inside, you felt a slight tremor run through you—part relief, part panic. The lights were too bright, almost white. Your heart wobbled, replaying how he’d been such a fucking asshole to you.
You’d forgotten how mean he could be, how easily he could go from angry to something so frigid it made you want to cry yourself to sleep.
“Hi there,” The receptionist greeted, her eyes moving over you with a professional once-over, “What brings you in today?”
You forced a small smile, knowing she wouldn’t buy it.
“Just…got a little dehydrated, that’s all.”
“Okay…let’s just get some basic information.” She clicked into her computer, her fingers poised over the keyboard. “Name?”
You cleared your throat, rattling off your full name, she nodded, typing it in.
“Have you experienced any other symptoms besides dizziness?”
“Nothing serious,” you replied, dismissively. “It’s just the heat, like I said. I just need some water and I’ll be good as new.”
This had to be a fucking nightmare you got sucked in, you could sense your blood pressure spike.
She tapped her screen and glanced back at you.
“Alright, Miss Thornton, it looks like we’ll just need a few quick details here to get you all checked in. Can I start with your insurance provider?”
A chuckle almost slipped out of you. Insurance—God, you were fine with insurance. What you weren’t okay with was everything else. You answered, “Blue Cross.”
She asked for your birthdate, which you gave on autopilot, hoping she’d skip any weird or invasive questions. “Any allergies?”
You shook your head. Please, just let this be over.
“It’s really not a big deal,” You blurted out, giving her a thin smile and forcing calm into your voice. “I just need the IV. You know, standard stuff.”
“Of course, dear. We’ll get things started, it will include routine tests, like bloodwork, just to be safe.”
Bloodwork. Perfect. You were doing everything you could to keep from falling into that spiraling panic mode.
Please, just get me in, get me out, and don’t find anything.
“Just head down to Room 12.”
All you could think was that you wanted this to be over—before the whole town, or worse, he, found out. It made you want to scream. He was the last person who should be outside.
This was his fault. You’d never be here if he hadn’t shown up.
The next hour passed in seconds—questions, forms, an IV drip.
They’d done blood work, too, but you’d sighed in relief when they’d told you the results wouldn’t be ready immediately. As far as they knew, you’d just overdone it, and now, as you lay on a cot in a room that reeked of sick people, all they’d prescribed was rest, hydration, and food.
When the nurse asked if anyone could pick you up, the thought of calling someone, asking them to see you like this, made you delirious. You didn’t need anyone; you were perfectly fine on your own.
But you also didn’t want Rafe and his delusional ass to barge through the doors.
The nurse moved around you awkwardly, eyes still expectant, as if you were just a button away from a reliable “someone” to come running.
You looked at her, controlling the compulsion to yell. Little people ever bothered to check on you, to show up for more than just the drama or gossip.
Out of them, only one face bounced around in your head.
“Yeah, I got someone.”

Nine Lives

Simon Riley posts an ad for a stray cat he does not want, and you answer.
Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley x F!reader
Tags: fluff, short n’sweet, eventual romance/smut
Pt. 1 | Pt. 2 | Pt. 3 | Pt. 4 | last part | ao3 | mlist ✎ᝰ.ᐟ
Friday comes as planned, Simon’s week consumed by anticipation of seeing his girl and his cat.
But Churro doesn’t seem to have the same plans, doesn’t come to see her self-proclaimed father.
She doesn’t show, no aggravating meowing or grating scratching on his porch. All he’s met with is silence, a noise grown far too unfamiliar, leaves something in his core unsettled in its absence.
You show up on his doorstep anyway, don’t seem to realize Churro hasn’t made an appearance, smiling wide at him when he opens the door.
At least now he knows you’ll still smile so sweetly at him even if he doesn’t have a furry cat in his arms.
“Hi!”
“Hi, bird. Is Churro at home?”
Your brows pinch, confusion painting your expression, “No, I thought she was visiting you? Came to pick her up like always.”
“She’s not here,” He explains, “Didn’t show up earlier, that’s why I didn’t text you yet.”
The corner of your lips droop, “Well, she wasn’t at home. I figured she was with you even if I didn’t get a text.”
You fidget from heel to heel when he shakes his head in disagreement, shifting your eyes swiftly as worry etches into your irises, wringing your fingers together.
“I’m sure she’ll be here soon,” He reassures, attempting to dry the flood of emotions that are surely surfacing in your lungs before they burst out of control, ushering you in with a hand on your back, “We’ll lay out her favorite food, yeah? She came real quick that first time remember? Wait an hour tops before we start worrying too much, okay?”
You nod quietly, following his lead to his couch, but your face stays stiff, each curve contorted anxiously. Doesn’t smooth the entire time the two of you wait, reminiscent of the first time you met him, except this time you’re nerves aren’t alerting you to run from him, flee from the danger of a man he appears to be. Instead, you’re looking to him for comfort, darting your wide eyes to his every time he starts to speak like you’re clinging to every word in an attempt to distract you from the fact that Churro isn’t in either of your laps.
By the time forty-five minutes passes he’s sure you ripped the skin around your fingernails tender and bloody, burnt a hole in your shoe from the speed you're bouncing it. Maybe before he knew you, before he knew Churro, he would’ve thought you were being dramatic, caring for a bloody cat entirely too much, but you’ve grown on him. Maybe a little too much because the sight of you nervous, anxious, scared, upsets him, doesn’t want to spend another second watching you peel yourself apart.
Maybe he’s a little upset at Churro— don’t you know you’re worrying your mom, his girl, too much, pest?
It’s enough to make him stand, waiting does nothing to ease your nerves, so he prepares a search for a cat he used to cast away, a cat he used to wish got lost on the trail to his house. The two of you should’ve expected it to happen one of these days, it wasn’t necessarily a short distance between your homes, but Churro had seemed smarter than that, memorized her trek through town to find Simon.
You start on foot, separating in two to cover more ground, walking through Simon’s neighborhood calling for her at the top of your lungs. The search lasts for an hour, scavenging through every nook, bush, tree, and alleyway the two of you can find to no avail. Simon even goes to his neighbors, asks if they’ve seen the fawn-colored cat. Maybe the cat lady ended up taking her in by mistake, but they all deny, haven’t seen her.
When you don’t find her, your search widens, desperately exploring multiple blocks around his neighborhood until the sun starts to set, desperately searching with the flashlight from your phone in the dark. It takes some convincing and negotiation on his end to get you to return to his porch without Churro in your arms, argue that you won’t be able to sleep unless you know she’s safe. Still, he manages to wrangle you back to his house, promising that the two of you will search for her tomorrow, that she’ll make her way to his home in the night like she always does.
You agree begrudgingly, but when he finally gets you to his front door and looks down at you, your eyes are downcast, your bottom lip wobbling as you shift your eyes to his. You’re dewy-eyed and beady, fists balled at your side in an attempt to stop the inevitable dam from cracking.
It doesn’t work, of course, it doesn’t, not when the look in his eyes is sincere, slams the finishing wedge in your control with one look.
“Sweet girl.”
His voice is softer than he’s ever used before, more tender than he even realized he could use, foreign to his own gruff ears, but it doesn’t help your restraint from breaking on the spot. He reaches out, placing his hand on the back of your head, tangling his fingers in your hair before pressing you into his chest, snug under his chin.
The embrace punches the breath straight out of your lungs, inhaling a shattered wheeze before a sob wrecks from your core. Fisting the fabric of his shirt in your palms as you hiccup over your breaths and tears, staining his shirt wet.
The constricting in his chest is unfamiliar, burns strangely, painful, and bitter at the mere sounds you make, at the way you cling to him like he can absolve you of your pain, like you need to feel his touch to mend your weary heart. It congeals something protective in the back of his mind, large palms finding the backs of your thighs to hoist you in his arms. You don’t even pull away, just band your arms over his shoulders like it’s where you need to be.
He carries you to his kitchen, grabbing a water before maneuvering you to his bedroom because he’s not going to send you home crying and distressed when he can keep his girl comforted in his arms. You fall onto his bed willingly, sitting on the edge of the mattress as you watch him rummage through his drawers. He presents a pair of shorts, to which you nod teary-eyed, let him peel your jeans off, and replace them with his own clothing.
He climbs into bed with you, guides you under the sheets with him, and into his arms. Pulls you flush against his chest once again, smoothing his touch down your back and through your hair in his best attempt to soothe your nerves.
“Don’t worry,” He murmurs when you shift to look into his eyes, “Won’t do us any good looking for her when you’re all teary-eyed will it?”
You huff a laugh, not entirely amused as it should be, only making more tears well in your eyes, but he takes it, pressing a kiss against the crown of your forehead.
“We’ll look for her first thing tomorrow morning, yeah? Our pretty lady will come home to us.”

still on that "simon teaching you how to shotgun while you're riding him lazily" shit and will always be on that shit!!
•°. *࿐
he pinches your chin, rubbing the pad of his thumb against the smooth of your skin. “breathe it in slowly—it will burn, especially ‘cause this is y’r first time—so tap when s’too much, okay?”
“okay,” you hum, eyes fluttering slowly at the gentle touch, a caress you know that is meant to be beckoning.
simon shifts the two of you on his seat, shuffling carefully, but the slight movement still makes you gasp, a sputtering of your breath, as muted please races through you at the deeper press of his cock.
he croons at your reaction, eyes crinkling as he murmurs praises and ‘i love you’s, his voice so full of adoration. it makes your heart clench, lips wobbling at the softness of it all—
simon is not a good man. he said this to you the first time you begged him to take you to his place.
(“please,” you whimpered then, too overwhelmed with your lust to notice the way he was straining against his self-control. “i need you.”
your voice broke, a sad tinge curling in your words, and you wonder if it was that which finally pushed simon to the edge. if it was the desperation he could see burning in your eyes and rippling into the way you held him—loose fists bunching up his shirt—that finally made him buckle.
“i’m not the man that you think i am, sweetheart,” he spat out, his voice weaving between his teeth in a barely-contained snarl. “y’re too good f’r me.”
“i don’t care,” you murmured, stepping closer into him, devouring even the minuscule space between you two because simon needed to know. he needed to understand that there is no one else you yearn for but him—
“goddamn it.”
his snarl was followed by the way his teeth sank into your skin, marking, tugging.
yes! you thought with giddiness, a sharp gasp getting torn from the base of your throat. yes!yes!yes!)
simon is not a good man, but he kisses you like one. he cares for you like one. he loves you like one.
simon is not a good man, but did he need to be? he was yours. was that not enough?
you rut your hips in slow circles, quiet rasps of your gasps filling up the space. you watch with hooded eyes as simon lights his cigarette, before you lean forward to snuff the fire off his lighter. your eyes meet his above the wafting smoke, desire mutual as it drips into each other’s laps.
sweat beads on your forehead, sliding down your temple.
you brace yourself on your knees, mewling as you feel the base of his cock sliding out from the grips of your wet walls, before slowly sinking back down to engulf the thickness of it. his cock digs deep again, settling somewhere that makes you feel so full—you swear your organs shift to make room for him—and it is in the midst of your stuttered whimpers that simon takes a drag of his cigarette, slow and deep.
you become so hyperaware all of a sudden, watching as his chest expands with every inhale. then, he takes the stick out, and he turns to you with pursed lips. simon cups your cheek once again, his thumb swiping just underneath your eye.
anticipation courses through you as you pitch forward, willing your shaking body to sit still. you see the muted spark of the cigarette in your peripheral as you go—a temptress in its own right—until you feel the scruff of his unshaven chin tickling your own.
you didn’t realize how much your lips are trembling until you feel the steady press of simon’s against yours. he gives you soft pecks, reassuring kisses, and then he’s breathing out the smoke into your willing mouth.
you breathe it in slowly, feeling the burn on your tongue slither to your throat until it fills up your lungs. it feels like a thick miasma is being poured down your trachea, choking you with the tendrils of its fiery fog, and you cough, ripping your lips from simon’s.
“shh, shh,” he murmurs, quick to comfort you, his hand steady on the base of your head. “y’did great, sweetheart. y’did great.”
you can’t hear him, ears ringing as the heat spreads within you.
it is so foreign, dangerous, yet it is so, so sensual—
a metaphor for simon.
suddenly, sharp pleasure curls in the pit of your stomach, batting away the burn, and you keen, drawn out and high-pitched, before tipping your head down, needing to watch the way simon circles his thumb on your clit.
he’s let go of his cigarette—
“sim-onnn,” you hiccup, heart thudding with your disappointment. “wan’ more.”
he chuckles, the sound of it so fond.
so proud.
“look at you,” he croons. “it hurt you an’ yet you want more.”
his hand slides down from the base of your head to trace the plane of your spine before settling atop your ass where he grabs a fistful of your flesh. you groan, feeling truly edged out—the lapping euphoria you feel from the slow caress on your clit is not enough, and the thrill of breathing in simon’s sin having been cut short.
any more teasing and frustrated tears will trickle from the corners of your eyes.
simon catches your pout, and he grins, one that is a bite too mean.
“so needy,” he says, sighing dramatically, before he reaches for the stick and pinches it between his lips.
it makes you squirm, excited, your mouth already open—
needy, just like he said.

Yeah, I made a comic. Why? Cuz, I love to suffer. OTL
Based on my fic.*shameless self-promo* Relevant snippet below the cut.
...
Stepping deeper now into the cavernous inner chamber, he kept a hand on the wall to guide him as he peered into the gloom, wondering what could've caused the machine to malfunction. He took another few steps forward, nearing the far end of the chamber, his hand sliding along the wall until it passed over an open panel and a small round protrusion. Suddenly, his foot bumped against a thick cable on the floor and he shifted his weight in surprise. That's when he felt the protrusion beneath his hand sink into the wall with a click!
He stumbled back and saw the control panel where his hand had been, the buttons labeled on and off. He soon realized what he'd done as the chamber let out a heavy CLUNK and began to whir and hum, the glowing lines of circuitry growing brighter as the sound crescendo'd to a deafening peak. Danny heard his friends calling out to him in surprise, but he found himself frozen in place as he turned to see a bright green light bloom at the end of the chamber into a brilliantly blinding flash!
Suddenly, a massive surge of energy ripped into his body! It took his breath away--pulled from his lungs in a painful scream as his muscles contracted violently, body spasming and convulsing as every nerve burned and sizzled! His heart pounded erratically in his chest, harder and faster than he'd ever felt in his life, as though it might explode! He clutched at his chest with another painful spasm, doubling over in pain as he tried to take a breath. It was an agony like nothing he'd ever felt before. It felt like dying. Like his body was being ripped apart, molecule by molecule.
Then as quickly as it began, it was over. His eyes rolled back as he collapsed to the floor, a blackness overtaking everything.
...
While the two friends busied themselves with their own activities, they didn't notice the atmosphere of the lab change... until it was too late. The CLUNK of the machine quickly drew their attention and both Sam and Tucker dropped what they were doing to watch in horror as it whirred to life. The hum of the machine grew louder and louder--a growing static-charge making the air feel crispy--and Sam's heart sank in dread. "Danny?" she called out to her friend, "Danny, what's happening?!" Tucker rushed back to the portal entrance to see what was happening, and joined in Sam's concern. "Danny, get out of there! Something's wrong!" he shouted over the noise, but it was too late. A bright flash of light burst from the machine, forcing the pair to shield their eyes as the deafening hum was replaced by Danny's agonized screaming and the crackle of electricity. "DANNY!!" Sam dropped her camera and lurched toward the portal entrance, but Tucker caught her by the waist and pulled her back. "Sam, don't! It's too dangerous! You could get hurt!" "But Danny's IN THERE!! We have to SAVE him!!" she argued, pulling against his grip, but Tucker held tight. "I’m sorry, Sam... there's nothing we can do." He knew the odds of saving their friend were slim, and the odds of joining his tragic predicament, extremely high. But Sam refused to just stand by and do nothing while her best-friend was in danger. She broke free of Tucker's arms and rushed forward-- but it was already over. Danny's body crumpled to the floor with a thud and laid motionless beyond the threshold of the machine as the chamber crackled and a swirling green vortex formed inside.
The two friends stared in quiet horror, before Sam stumbled forward into the machine, dropping down beside Danny's still form. She knew immediately that something was wrong and quickly moved to drag his limp body back from that sinister green vortex, as it grew to fill the entire chamber. She felt her heart clench as she dragged him back into the lab and laid him onto his back. His hair, once a jet-black, was now a shock of white, and he felt cold beneath her fingers. A faint stench of burnt flesh wafted from his body, his suit a charred black and the rubber ashen. She knelt beside him, a hand on his chest, the other gently brushing the hair from his face. "Tucker..." She looked back at the other boy in restrained panic, her voice wavering as she spoke. "He-- He's not breathing."
