Time Periods of the Story Events
In this post, I'll be dividing story events into time periods, and give you guys a sense of the timeline of these events chronologically.
I'll be updating this post every time I have read an event.
Also, for now, I'll divide the timeline into three periods, ancient times/long before MC came to Hell, shortly before MC came to Hell, and after MC came to Hell. There will be a fourth category of unknown because I can find no time indicator of the event.
Note: shortly before MC came to Hell has relative meaning. It is the time period much later than ancient times and not necessarily means literally shortly before MC arrives in Hell.
Ancient Times/Long Before MC Came to Hell
The Two Stars that Fell from the Sky
Main characters: Lucifer, Gamigin
Original run: March 20 - April 3, 2024
Reason: I think this is obvious, this event's main setting takes place from the period of Lucifer falling to his two years living with Gamigin as a fallen angel to him being recognized as king and the foundation of Paradise Lost. The time is shortly after the war began and many centuries before MC came to Hell.
Shortly Before MC Came to Hell
Where is Beelzebub?
Main characters: Beelzebub, Andrealphus, the trio Naberius-Amon-Stolas
Original run: December 11-25, 2023
Reason:
Tumblr media
In the last part of the story, Beelzebub says that there are things that are going to happen soon but he can't tell them yet. I think what Beelzebub is talking about is MC and other things that will come with their arrival. There are many implied details that Beelzebub knows that the descendant of Solomon will be his destined lover and he has been waiting for them for very long, like that moment in the comic of Beelzebub Attacker
Tumblr media
A Life of Investigating Leraye
Main character: Leraye
Original run: April 24 - May 8, 2024
Reason:
The story alternates between the moment in present time and the memories about Leraye. But since it has been made clear from the start that the characters are talking about their memories of Leraye, I'll choose shortly before MC arrives as the standpoint period.
In one scene, Paimon tells Naberius and Stolas he's single, which means he isn't seeing anyone or having feeling for anyone at that moment (which actually makes Naberius irritated because he was actually asking if Paimon was alone in coming to meet them lol). Given the fact that Gehenna devils are romantic, and Paimon has feeling for MC after they arrived in Hell, it must mean that MC hasn't arrived in Hell at the time of the event.
Tumblr media
After MC Arrived in Hell
The Guest of the Halloween Eve
Main character: Minhyeok
Original run: October 25 - November 8, 2023
Reason: Another obvious one because MC literally appears in this event.
Requiem of the Survivors
Main characters: Leviathan, Orias
Original run: February 21 - March 7, 2024
Reason:
Well the time indicator of this event is a single sentence that Orias says.
Tumblr media
If you have read the Prologue of the Portal Coin Dungeon (where you farm coins that have cat-shape and it's only open during the period of a pass), you will see that MC did appear in that prologue talking with Selaphiel, while the four kings were beside them. (Sadly this prologue can only be read once and I have no screenshot). The fact that Orias mentions the event of that prologue means that the story of this event happens after MC came to Hell, it's just that MC isn't in Hades at the time of the story event.
Unknown Period
Bimet's Rage
Main character: Bimet
Original run: November 17 - December 1, 2023
Reason: there's no time indicator I can find in the event story, it could happen either before or after MC came to Hell.

Since Asajj Ventress appeared in recent media and is set to appear in future shows and Star Wars content, I've seen a lot of people starting to read Dark Disciple. but besides that book, there are so many stories featuring Asajj over her 22 years of existence. So if you are looking for some recommendations and entry points to Asajj outside of the TV shows, here are some recommendations to get to know her a bit better, in both the Canon and Legends timelines:
Tumblr media
(for anyone looking for a definitive list of everything she's ever been in, I also have that)
for anyone looking for just the list of recommendations without all my babbling, scroll down to the bottom, it'll be there.
Canon
Tumblr media
Dooku: Jedi Lost Audiodrama - Script by Cavan Scott, preformed by full cast (also available in Script format) Starting off, this masterpiece. Telling the dual story of Asajj and Dooku, Jedi Lost is genuinely some of the best Star Wars content out there, in my opinion. Taking place early in The Clone Wars, it tells Asajj's journey battling her ghosts and uncovering her Master's history. It requires only the context of the prequels and The Clone Wars, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who likes the Prequels, Dooku, or Asajj.
Tumblr media
Brotherhood - by Mike Chen Continuing with the book that serves as an introduction to Asajj in canon (chronologically), Brotherhood presents an interesting take on her first meetings with Anakin and Obi-Wan. She's far from the main character here, only supporting the book's plot as the villain and the initiator behind some of the troubles Obi-Wan faces on Cato Neimodia. This Asajj is more calculated, working behind the scenes while still facing off face to face against Obi-Wan and Anakin, and it uniquely handles her character. The book is a Clone Wars adventure taking place before and it requires only the movies' and TCW's context, once again. *While technically taking place after Hyperspace Stories #5, it contradicts that issue's events and makes more sense if it takes place before, so I listed it first (for more info on the contradictions you can go here)*
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories #5 - Written by Amanda Deibert, with art by Riccardo Faccini (Variant cover by Cary Nord) Taking place shortly after Anakin's knighting, before The Clone Wars show, this is a short and interesting comic story for Asajj. While tying into an over-arching plot of the series, this issue stands alone well. Simply put, Asajj is sent to retrieve a mysterious item by Count Dooku and encounters Anakin and Obi-Wan in the process. It has fun art, fun dynamics, and it's really good.
Tumblr media
Worthless - a short story from Stories of Jedi and Sith - written by Delilah S. Dawson with an illustration by Jake Bartok This one is not as set on the timeline, but we do know it takes place while Asajj is still working for Dooku. In short, without too many spoilers, Asajj falls into a pit and has to trust on a Clone Trooper's help to get out. The story is a part of an anthology, but it completely stand-alone on its own. If you can read it on its own, I recommend it, but the rest of the book is also very much worth it if you want to buy it for the story. Dawson captures a version of Asajj that rarely gets attention, before the Nightsisters, and manages to show her identity and tell a wonderful story without that tool that's often overly used (in my opinion).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle #3 - Written by Cavan Scott with art by Francesco Francavilla & Nick Brokenshire Jumping forward in the Timeline, we have another Asajj story by Cavan Scott! It has Bounty Hunting, A baby Sarlacc, pretty art, fun coloring, and Asajj. So what's not to love? Like Hyperspace Stories, Return to Vader's Castle also has an over-arching plot, but that's 4 framing pages of Vaneé being a bitch and has no effect on the rest of it. Solid stuff. (it is also the source of the first picture in this post)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sisters - a short comic story from the Age of Republic Special - written by Jody Houser with art by Carlos Gómez Next, we have a wonderful short story taking place just before The Clone Wars episode "To Catch a Jedi". In just a few pages, Jody Houser brings conflict and personality to Asajj's time on Coruscant. And there's gorgeous art.
Legends
While Legends, and especially the comics, have some of my favorite stories with Asajj, it's hard to recommend individual issues. They can be stand-alone but still connected and ingrained in the ongoing story of the comics. But I tried to hand-pick the best for introduction and knowledge of who Asajj is a character there. So I won't recommend the 12 issues she's in, I set myself the limit of sticking with the same number of recommendations I had for canon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Star Wars: Republic: The New Face of War - 2-issue Comic arc - written by W. Haden Blackman with art by Tomás Giorello Although I'm assuming you all have at least a passing familiarity with Asajj's character, introductions are still important. And, yes, Asajj first appeared in a different comic and after a month or so in Clone Wars (2003), but chronologically, in-universe, this is her first appearance. The Face of War is comprised of issues #51 and #52 of the Star Wars: Republic comic series, and although Asajj is only in the last page of #51, it's necessary context. This one isn't a must for me, but it sets the ground for her. And it's good. Giorello's art brings a unique perspective to Asajj's character, and by that I mean it may not be to some people's taste. So take your pick with this one.
Tumblr media
Star Wars: Republic #53 - written by W. Haden Blackman, with art by Brian Ching If the last one isn't a must, this one is. It is a stand-alone adventure, almost feeling like a (better) TCW episode. Obi-Wan is off to infiltrate a Techno Union base with a team of all-star legendary Jedi that are introduced, and everything goes wrong when they run into the Confederacy's best, Durge and Asajj Ventress. I say it's a must because it establishes the nature of the rivalry between Obi-Wan and Asajj, and gives us such a sense of who those people are. It also lays the foundations to my next comic recommendation.
Dark Heart - short story by August and Cynthia Hahn This one, a 1784-word story, originally published on Wizards.com as a part of The Living Force roleplaying campaign, is definitely not a must, but it's barely 2k words, just read it. In all seriousness though, it captures Asajj's essence and I just. love it. You can read it right now, that's the link in the name, it's up online for free legally. While it is a part of the RPG campaign, I read it individually and had no trouble at all.
Tumblr media
The Cestus Deception - by Steven Barnes (The Japanese cover is prettier and has Asajj, ok?) Obi-Wan Kenobi and Kit Fisto head to the planet Ord Cestus to try and convince Ord Cestus's government to ally with The Republic. But under the surface, a mysterious scheme had developed and it gets messy. Never ask me to write a publisher's summary. Asajj is the villain of this one, and I don't have much to say about it, but it is good. Fair warning: it hasn't aged the best in my opinion, and not even in a politically correct sense, some of the descriptions and relationships were questionable at best. If you like Kit Fisto and political adventuring and Clone Wars fights and a mascarade ball, if I remember correctly, this one's for you. It's not much of a story for Asajj but it is a fun read.
Tumblr media
Star Wars: Republic #60 - written by W. Haden Blackman with art by Tomás Giorello I have never ever not once said it but this right here is my favorite Asajj story of all time ever. It does require context, though, so here's it: after the battle of Jabiim, Alpha-17 (Legends Arc Trooper, you may have heard of him) and Obi-Wan (a staple in Asajj's stories, he needs to gtfo women's business) are blown up and declared dead. Turns out Asajj Ventress has been holding them in her castle on the planet Rattatak and this is the daring story of their escape. In this issue, Asajj's origin story is revealed, before the Nightsisters had anything to do with her. More than any other Legends issue, it differentiates greatly from anything you know about Asajj in TCW/Canon. She's a warlord, with armies at her beck and call, a military commander, And it's fun. Her origin story is told in this issue, and it's such a great story that shifted my understanding of her a lot. The art, once again, is by Giorello, keep it in mind.
Tumblr media
Yoda: Dark Rendezvous - by Sean Stewart (Japanese cover, once again) Last but certainly not least, the Legends Clone Wars book I've heard the most positive reviews of, and was not disappointed in the slightest. It is as good as they say. The story doesn't focus on Asajj, and she isn't even the main antagonist, but she gets a meaningful role in it and has her place and her arc in the story. It's also my favorite approach to how Asajj would act when she has to deal with children. Worth the hype and an excellent book to read unrelated to Asajj.
Alright, that's all! I hope you check out at least one of these, they're all great. As said before, I also have a complete list of everything Asajj in chronological order. Feel free to ask me anything about the list and the things in it. I can also give a complete comic reading list for her, since it's a bit more than just the issues she appeared in. For anyone struggling with the accessibility of these recommendations, I have a hopefully comprehensive guide in the complete appearances post. And now just this list because I promised that:
Canon 1) Dooku: Jedi Lost Audiodrama - Script by Cavan Scott, preformed by full cast (also available in Script format) 2) Brotherhood - by Mike Chen 3) Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories #5 - Written by Amanda Deibert, with art by Riccardo Faccini (Variant cover by Cary Nord) 4) Worthless - a short story from Stories of Jedi and Sith - written by Delilah S. Dawson with an illustration by Jake Bartok 5) Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle #3 - Written by Cavan Scott with art by Francesco Francavilla & Nick Brokenshire 6) Sisters - a short comic story from the Age of Republic Special - written by Jody Houser with art by Carlos Gómez
Legends 1) Star Wars: Republic: The New Face of War - 2-issue Comic arc (Star Wars: Republic #51-52) - written by W. Haden Blackman with art by Tomás Giorello 2) Star Wars: Republic #53 - written by W. Haden Blackman, with art by Brian Ching 3) Dark Heart - short story by August and Cynthia Hahn 4) The Cestus Deception - by Steven Barnes 5) Star Wars: Republic #60 - written by W. Haden Blackman with art by Tomás Giorello 6) Yoda: Dark Rendezvous - by Sean Stewart

sketchbook duuuuump :3 nothing to do in this town AND my stylus isn't working its a perfect storm for filling this thang up
descriptions and such below
feel like the fursona ones are self explanatory. the rileys are basically all inspired by this person's compilations... if you havent seen the clip that the bottom corner drawing is from please do yourself a favor
this was all development shit for the zakharovs who i posted last week. sergei is igor's former childhood friend who i have not come up with much about yet... all i know is he is also a fashion designer (who makes winter clothes specifically) and he has an illegitimate son named nikolai who is an arctic fox (and who i have not drawn yet)
omg okay so if anyone remembers my last sketchbook dump i introduced this character andre in there (and her name was andres but i changed it to andre bc i like it more for whatever reason). anyway ive been drawing him OBSESSIVELYYYYY and have decided that him and null get together at some point after argyle and jamie make up (i desperately need to make a jamie and co timeline post)... but it lasts like one semester and thats it. andre is too vain and too know-it-all for null's tastes even though shes like super hot and nice otherwise. anyway this is just a bunch of drawings of him. i really like how the one of him in my INSANE hat turned out
santiago and null's joint slay... both of them LOVE to gossip with each other and its instrumental to how jamie and argyle make up (will go into detail when i finally figure out all the actual events of that). also andre and null on a hike bc andre is a biology major. i actually drew that while i was on a hike in red rock canyon heres proof
Tumblr media
5. mostly just scribbling trying to get better at drawing santiago including more of him and null and his prime Jamie Comforting Tactic of just letting him chill between his wool and sweater. also two drawings of jamie just 4 fun i draw him and his stupid big eyes whenever im out of ideas
6. idk this is just silly stuff. i draw johnny manhandling jamie a lot and i promise you jamie LOVES being treated like a stuffed animal he thinks its SO FUN to be spun around and wiggled and shit. ferret adjacent. him and johnny have been friends since they were in like elementary school because of this. btw santiago does not usually look like that (only having wool on his head) he just has to shear his wool in the summer because having full wool in the flurrida heat is AWFUL
7. comic i drew at the laundromat LOL. takes place either shortly before OR shortly after andre and null get together. johnny mostly hates andre for being with null (shes jealous) (she wants null all to herself even though shes super noncommittal) (johnny get your shit together) BUT ALSO andre being kinda pretentious makes her want to chokeslam him. andre is talking about bird farming specifically because johnny's family are chicken farmers... ive had a lore post about everyone's families in my drafts for months but i cant finish it til my stylus is fixed TT
8. more nonsense. top left corner is a continuation of johnny being a hater. bottom drawings are just mindless jamie doodles. top right is argyle and jamie during their relationship, i cant decide if jamie had REALLY short hair during it or hair like this that's basically just his current hair without the yellow dye and tiny ponytail. whatever

since i've written radri's whole ace discovery journey i felt like making notes
waiting: normally this is the kind of scene where i'd have the "wait i'm ace" discussion, but that discussion already takes place in the "recognition" comic set after this (bc i'd made the comic before i knew i was going to fill out so many more blanks for them), so i had to go the route of radri not knowing/being able to clearly define what she feels yet.
i'm kind of glad for that, really; i'd thought about retconning the recognition comic, but every take i had on radri or xan bringing that discussion up here just didn't feel quite right. also, i was mainly considering retconning bc i was worried about what someone might think of radri for walking into a life-altering bond without knowing before the commitment is made that she won't be able to follow through on sex--and i was like wait. stop. that's such a stupid thing to hold against someone
reading it back, i don't know if i made it obvious enough that what she's feeling isn't just nervousness--that weight in her chest is her knowing that deep down the answer is no. following it up with her clear desire for their bond shows (hopefully) that she does know what she wants, and thus what she doesn't want--she's just not able to recognize or verbalize the latter in the moment
also, i like that xan's clearly able to read her (he correctly recognizes that she's afraid) but he's also so nervous and in his own head about it that he projects his own worries onto her fear/hesitance. yeah i know... i wrote it... but i just like having xan be both right and wrong
recognition: this was prompted by a banter between jaheira and imoen, where jaheira tries to give imoen a talk about contraceptives and imoen acts completely clueless; i saw that and was like oh, i could definitely use this to have radri pick up on that cliffhanger with xan. i don't have a solid explanation for why jaheira's waited this long to bring it up with radri, since in general i would've expected this to happen shortly after radri & xan's very public confession of love, but let's say jaheira knows radri well enough that she can tell that it's only after the bond that radri's started thinking about it. (also, i bet after radri & xan shared their first kiss radri went around beaming secretively to herself and jaheira was internally like "they've done it, haven't they" only for radri to confess that they ~just kissed~ for the ~first time~. at that point i think jaheira readjusted her mental timeline for them)
anyway, xan's part in the lead-up to this is that he recognized she was ace and then accepted it wordlessly. honestly i think he saw it as such a non-issue that he didn't think radri would still be worried about answering his request. also, in his mind he's already gotten his answer; he said that sex can wait until she wishes for it -> he recognizes through the bond that she does not wish for it -> sex will happen never -> ok, moving on
Tumblr media
desire: i wrote the draft for this in 2 mornings and it was one of the most surprisingly effortless sequence of events i've written for them (unlike "waiting," which was a struggle all the way through, but i guess that was mainly due to how i wanted to keep as much of the original material as i could).
i tried to write it in a way that showed that this isn't unlocking sexual acts for them--the act just happens to be the right backdrop to let them share everything else they do in this fic. y'know? any sort of sequel to this scene isn't going to be the next rung up on the sexual progression ladder, but just more discovery and intimacy.

Barbatos
~~~~~ HEADCANONS ~~~~~
Barbatos was a quiet man who kept to himself a lot. He preferred to associate himself only with Dia and Lucifer, though the other brothers came and went on that list of people he would deal with.
When you came into his life, he was skeptical. Dia had set you two up on a date since you were both entirely withdrawn.
After the date though he did seek you out again if only to hear you talk about your interests, you had a glow about you when you were enjoying something.
As time passed, Barbatos learned more of your tics and traits; at social gatherings, he would find an excuse for you to leave or help you plan the most direct way to get out of something.
Where you were controlled chaos for Barbatos, he was what kept you organized and sane.
When he visited the House of Lamentation to deliver news to Lucifer, he would stop by your room to talk briefly.
Barbatos really liked your style. It suited you, and he felt he could compliment you.
This man is very analytical and always looks for the best possible outcome.
Once you two were dating, he had even more of an excuse to take care of you and assist you in all manners of life. He even took on learning how to do your makeup for you.
~~~~~ BLURB ~~~~~
One of Dia's balls was in full swing, the music loud, and so many bodies crammed into a room. You were growing tired and restless, not liking all the close contact. As you began to overthink and panic about your escape, your partner appeared next to you. Barbatos extended his arm and helped guide you close to a balcony. The fresh air sounded nice, way nicer than everything in there. "I am sorry, dear, I can't help you escape yet; Dia plans to showcase all exchange students here shortly." You nodded briefly, just happy to know he did care about you.
As the music died into a slow dance, you turned to look at Barbatos, who was already staring off into the distance. He wasn't needed now; Dia was handling the event well, so this extra moment with you could exist. When he felt your eyes on him, he turned and picked up on the music. Extending his hand to you, he gracefully began to walk you around the balcony in a waltz. As you two danced, you felt light and at ease, Barbatos never judged you and always wanted to ensure you were comfortable.
Once the music ended, Barbatos bowed and took his leave, not before reminding you to come in soon for the speech. When you heard Dia speaking, you walked in and immediately found a spot next to Barbatos. Once the ceremony and the speech were done, Barbatos had a hand on the small of your back, helping lead you out of the crowded hall. Once at the entrance of the castel he spoke, "Remember to stick to the lit roads on your way back, as soon as we finish politics with the other demons I will come and visit you at the House of Lamentation." You smiled and decided to grace his cheek with a kiss. Barbatos never let his smile leave his face for the rest of the night.
~~~~~ EXTRA ~~~~~
(It was raining in the Devildom. Everyone was having a big slumber party at the castle. Everyone was in small groups. You and Barbatos were huddled in a corner, looking over your lines for a play that the school would be hosting.)
Barbatos: No, you should say it more like this.
Y/N: I could, but what about here? The character is obviously feeling sad where. If I said it like that, I would sound indifferent.
Barbatos: Why would that matter, love?
Y/N: Well, Barbatos, let's say I was on the verge of death. Would you sound sad and distraught or just indifferent?
Barbatos: Ah, I see, I would sound sad. However, this is a close friend who is dying, not a lover, and I can tell you for sure if any of the brothers were dying, I would be indifferent.
Mammon, Asmodeus, Leviathan, and Satan: HEY!
Lucifer: Dia, when has Barbatos ever been that happy?
Diavolo: I am the best matchmaker, aren't I? Maybe I should do you next.
Would you be willing to recommend any comics for Tim?
OKAY SO. I'm just sorta grabbing a combination of Tim comics that I think are Important and Tim comics that I think are just good. I'm sure I'm missing some great ones, so Tim fans feel free to chime in.
Individual storylines:
Batman: A Lonely Place of Dying - Tim's introduction
Detective Comics #618-621, Batman #455-457 - Shortly after, rounding out Tim's origin story
Robin II: Jokers Wild - Tim's second miniseries, where the newbie Robin has to take care of the Joker alone
Batman #480 - interesting reflection on Tim's relationship with his dad
Batman: Knightfall - First big Batfamily storyline. Admittedly it has been a while since I read this, but the first part "Knightfall" (in which things go bad) and the third/final part "KnightsEnd" (in which everyone comes together and also Dick is back!!) I remember enjoying. The middle ("Knightquest") is both not as good, too long, and has less Tim. Tim's solo series also started here.
Batman: Prodigal - Dick & Tim!!!!
Batman: Contagion + Batman: Legacy - A pair of batfamily stories, where a plague hits Gotham and Tim has a bad time.
Young Justice: The Secret - Tim, Kon, and Bart team up for the first time, alongside the fourth founder of the Young Justice team...
Nightwing #25 - single issue with Dick & Tim
Batman: No Man's Land - Okay, so this is like The batman storyline ever, but I also must inform you here that it is the longest ever, and that Tim and most of the family don't start appearing until halfway through. But the story really hits its stride at that point and it's great.
Batman: Gotham Knights #1-11 - Not all of these issues are about or even include Tim, but the first arc of this run is one of my favorite batfam storylines.
Bruce Wayne: Murderer? / Bruce Wayne: Fugitive - Bruce gets accused of murder, and the ensuing events highlight a lot of interesting family dynamics.
Batgirl #18 - single issue with Cass & Tim
Robin #100-120 - imo the best of Steph & Tim
Robin #124-126 - big change to the status quo with Tim's dad
Robin/Batgirl: Fresh Blood - Cass & Tim bonding in grief
Nightwing #110 - Look this issue is not about Tim and maybe not important, but I play favorites when it comes to the Dick & Tim duo and their conversation here makes me sad
Batman: Face the Face - Things finally start to get better in Gotham with a classic Batman detective story with Bruce & Tim, ending with a major step for them
Robin #156 - sad :(
Robin #167 - more sad!
Batman: The Resurrection of Ra's al Ghul - Look Tim is going through it, BUT Dick does love him
Red Robin #1-12 (aka The Grail) - Tim goes searching for not-dead Bruce
Batman: Gates of Gotham - the kids (Dick, Cass, Tim, Damian) finally work together
Or if you want the easy reading of just picking up a long running series:
Robin (1993) - Tim's long-running solo as the boy wonder
Young Justice (1998) - Tim's first and best team. (Find my full reading order here.)
Red Robin (2009) - Tim's transition to a new mantle. The shorter length of this one is alluring, but I truly believe it is best read and thought of as a a direct sequel to Robin (1993).
Since the fact that the current bat family ages makes no sense and absolutely infuriates me, here are my headcanon ages
For Bruce a lot of sources have him becoming Batman at 25, that part makes sense but that would mean, on my personal timeline, he would be 44 now and that just seems kind of old to me to still be a vigilante. So I headcanon him as becoming Batman at 22 and adopting Dick at 23. This puts him at 28, for Damian's birth, with Dick being around 17/18 and off with the titans and probably college. It also puts him at 32 for Jason's death. Currently, he's 41
Tl;dr Bruce became Batman at 22, adopted Dick at 23, conceived Damian at 28, and is currently 41
Pre-reboot established that Barbara was a couple years older than Dick, also that she became Batgirl around the time she was starting college. She graduated high school early at 16 meaning she was about 17/18 when she became batgirl. Dick would be around 15 at this time. I've seen some sources say that the events of The Killing Joke (and Death of the Family, which happens a few months after) took place when she was late 20s. This doesn't quite work with the Robins timeline as she was only Batgirl during Dick and Jason's time as Robin. 23/24 makes more sense on the greater timeline. Currently she is 33.
Tl;dr Barbara became Batgirl at 17/18, got shot at 24 and became Oracle shortly after. Currently 33.
Several different sources give different ages for how old Dick was when his parents died, ranging from 8 to 15. We do know that Tim was 3 when he saw Dick's parents die at the circus, so if Dick was 8, the timeline wouldn't be big enough for his and Jason's career as Robin before Tim at 13 takes up the mantel. 12 seems like the most reasonable age for Dick to be for the timeline. This puts him at 18/19 when he goes off to college, quitting the Robin mantle and taking up Nightwing. At 28 he takes up the mantle of Batman with Damian, age 11 as his Robin. He is currently 30.
Tl;dr Dick gets adopted by Bruce at 12, becomes Nightwing at 19 and is currently 30.
Jason's timeline is fairly straightforward. We know he died at 15 and was only Robin for about 2 years. So it makes sense for him to have been picked up by Bruce at 12 and trained for 6ish months and debuted as Robin by the time he's 13. Post death timeline is a little more shaky. He came back to life a few months after his death and wandered the streets for about a year. Talia found him and tried to help him recover, with little results. After about a year or so of that Ra's wants to send Jason away so Talia throws him in the pit. He's around 18/19 at this point. He does travel, training like Bruce did but I don't think it was for nearly as long and he makes his return to Gotham at 20/21. He's currently 24.
Tl;dr Jason became homeless at 10, adopted at 12 and debuted as Robin at 13. Died at 15 and returned to Gotham at 20. Currently 24
Cassandra Cain is slightly older than Jason, by a few months. We know this as she was stated to be 18 in a batgirl issue released in 2004, and a few months later in another comic run Bruce and her visit Jason’s grave and he tells her that it would be Jason’s 18th birthday. With comic timelines this could mean she is anywhere between 1y3m or just 3m older than Jason. Unfortunately I am not too well versed in cass’ history to make a chronological breakdown of her life events.
 Tl;dr Cass is approximately a year older than Jason. Currently 24
Now that we are further down in the list the ages are a lot clearer. DC was a lot more willing to give specific ages to characters during the era. So we know that Stephanie Brown is firmly 15 when she becomes Spoiler because she states it. We know that she is still 15 when she is pregnant. After this her timeline has no exact age assigned to it except her death. Stephanie died at 16. This was of course later retconned out and she is discovered alive at 17/18ish and shortly after starts her freshman year of college at either 18 or 19. This is also when she becomes Batgirl.
Tl;dr Stephanie is approximately a year older than Tim and became spoiler at 15. Currently 22
Tim Drake’s ages are fairly clear. He became Robin at 13 approximately 6 months after Jason’s death. He’s a year younger than Stephanie. He takes up the red robin mantle around 17/18
Tl;dr Tim is a year younger than stephanie. He became robin at 13 and is Currently 21
Duke of course is still a relatively new character for DC and one they don’t utilize quite as much as others. They have mentioned his age multiple times in the past several years but is always 16. I do find this hard to let be, as I believe he was also stated to be 16 during the Robin War/We are Robin…. Personally, just to give the guy some range and growth for his age, i do headcanon him as 15 during robin war, where he became a more recurring character in DC and probably about 13 when he is initially introduced. Currently he should be around 17.
Tl;dr DC hates Duke and refuses to think about his age. He was 15 during the Robin War arc, and is currently 17
Damian is another one that is too straight forward as DC is spoon feeding us every next birthday of his. He was 10 when introduced and shortly thereafter became Robin. Most sources state that he also died at 10 but I don’t find the timeline big enough for that so I am going to place him at 11 for that . He was only dead for a couple of months before being resurrected, which would be around 11/12. I believe he just turned 14.
Tl;dr Damian was 10 when introduced and became Robin, Died and resurrected at 11 and is currently 14
TL;DR
Bruce 41
Barbara 32
Dick 30
Cassandra 24
Jason 24
Stephanie 22
Tim 21
Duke 17
Damian 14
Welcome to the Coda AU! The livestream will be starting shortly...
ASK BOX IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED. If you have any fanart submissions just post them with the tag #jsab: coda au and then tag the blog.
Content warnings for this blog: Blood, swearing, existentialism
RULES:
ROLEPLAYING ASKS ARE DISCOURAGED (eg. "Hi, I'm Scarlet the Hexagon, have you seen my lost hat?) QUESTIONS WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE ANSWERED IN THE ORDER THEY'VE BEEN ASKED. SOMETIMES THEY ARE ANSWERED WAY LATER DOWN THE LINE FOR PLOT/DRAMATIC REASONS. SOME QUESTIONS WILL ALSO NOT BE ANSWERED AT ALL.
Tetra, Child of the Tree of Life and the Guardian of Paradise, has decided to host a livestream to answer any questions regarding a rather controversial decision they made. But hey, this is also their first casual public appearance, and the reasons behind their actions are long and convoluted anyway. So why not just host a general Q&A livestream, to let the public know them a bit better while also explaining their actions?
Welcome to the Coda AU! This AU takes place roughly a year after the main events of the game. Honestly, think of this as less of an ask blog and more like an interactive comic. I'm very excited to share this AU I've been thinking about nonstop over my buses to university. If you want to read the asks in chronological order, see below!
Forgive me for being ignorant in your inbox but could you explain just how Bart is from another reality??? I've read all of Impulse and Young Justice and this never came up once I think. Did I miss something and I'm just being dumb?
Hello, you're not dumb. This was something not established until several years after Young Justice ended and takes place during the era of TTv3.
The words used is "parallel timeline" and not necessarily 'another reality' but they are talking about the Multiverse. Alternative timeline is also an acceptable way to describe what happened with Jenni and Bart and the entire story can be found on two pages in Final Crisis #3 ... if you even accept it.
Tumblr media
This was written by Geoff Johns for the Final Crisis event where three Legion teams are brought together to take down Superboy Prime once and for all, fix reality, and to bring back Kon and Bart who were at this point in time very dead (but not really...)
Basically, Geoff decided to try and answer an old question of what future timeline did Barry Allen actually have his children in if the post-zero hour reboot should have wiped out Don and Dawn Allen, because the future would have changed to one that Barry should have never visited.
Bart and Jenni's origins are all deeply entwined with the Post-Zero Hour timeline, however Bart's first introduction and first rumblings as a character put him right before that Zero Hour reboot happened (by a couple months) so there were some.... questions... about his existence AND Jenni.
Bart technically could still exist as he was evacuated before the reboot hit, but Jenni... Jenni should not have existed in the Post-Zero Hour reboot at all if she was born before then unless the writers decided to reboot her too (which would have been an acceptable answer).
Geoff decided to try to untangle it (above) but he didn't do it particularly well because the above doesn't make sense in regards to both Jenni and Bart's established back stories.
1.) Jenni's backstory FIRMLY states that when Don and Dawn were murdered Jeven evacuated Jenni and himself back to his homeworld - granted this could still have happened with the above in place but if he arrived in an alternative timeline what home would he have to return to?
2.) Iris did NOT watch Jenni and Bart age to teenagers in days this just didn't happen. Jenni did not have Bart's hypermetabolism and she was actually normal until she got her powers as a teenager. By that time, Iris and Bart were already in the past. Iris broke into the facility holding Bart and evacuated him to the past, when he was physically 12, and then he aged to age 14 while fighting Wally. Jenni aged normally so there was no 'watching them age to teenagers in days'.
3.) Thaddeus Thawne. This makes BOTH Thad Thawnes impossible because President Thawne ordered both Don and Dawn murdered and engineered their deaths very shortly after Bart's birth, in fact Bart's birth is what prompted this! If they were from an alternative reality/timeline why would the new Thawne think to do this if Bart was already born? Also, why would he create Inertia who was the person at fault for Bart dying and is the "bad thing" that happened to the Flash Family Adult Brainiac is talking about. Yes you could say President Thawne is THAT unhinged (he is) but it just doesn't seem likely.
4.) If Don, Dawn, Jeven and Meloni jumped to an 'alternative timeline' then which Iris helped Bart escape to the past? Are there two Irises? The comic seems to imply that it was the original Iris but it's still vague enough to leave some holes. How did the original Iris get to Earth 247? Also, Iris did not reunite with Jenni until Jenni visited the past because when Iris rescued Bart - Jenni was on Arrok.
5.) Mushy memories as an excuse to cover up some blatant holes in the character's heads and the readers own recounting of events is lazy.
6.) Meloni Thawne's recounting of events in previous comics always paints a very clear picture that her father watched her fall for Don and was adamantly against it - if she was from an alternative timeline/reality then why would the President Thawne in the new reality (Earth-247) still be so persistent in trying to stop her union to Don? If she was reality jumping then she would have already married AND had a kid so... moot point.
It just doesn't work. Even if you are generous and claim it was cosmic soup as a result of the explosion it doesn't work.
But this is canon but it's canon that doesn't work - we get this sometimes and it's just up to the reader to decide what is and is not canon. If you never read ANY of the 90s comics, this would make sense and would be fine. But if you did, this would just make you scratch your head.
There's more impossibilities you can pick at, and some things that happened in the comics that Johns' fix does actually fix, but I am tired and am not going to go into them right now.
Other mysteries and mushy timeline nonsense; Jenni is actually supposed to be 2 years older than Bart.
So, what's next?
The comic is now over after some weeks, and the ending leaves no room for a sequel, so what will be of this account now?
Firstly, I wanted to thank everyone for the support I've recieved lately! It means the world to me and helps me stay motivated to work on the story <3 I hadn't expected people to still read Among Us comics in 2024 but It's nice to see I was very wrong! I may not respond to every single reblog or comment, but I do read them all and smile every single time :D
Secondly, and the best of news, worry not, for a sequel is on the work! This second arc is titled "R83S" and takes place at Mira HQ shortly after the events of C R O P H S. There will be new characters and various PoVs instead of just one protagonist! Not only that, but this one will also be twice as long as the first! There will be enough space bean content to last a couple more years :D
With that, of course, come new schedules. Unlike for the first arc, this one isn't already finished. Drawing new pages takes a while, so I estimate there will be updates every 2 or so weeks (depending on how busy I am). It's a huge downgrade from the daily posts most of you are used to, but I'm sure you'll get used to it. The summary will be posted in about 3 weeks from now, to leave some room to rest in between each story.
So what happens in the meantime? What will you post while we wait? The answer is extra content, art and fun facts! There are many interesting things I can share about the first arc that don't necessarily contribute to the story but add to the experience of reading it.
And if you haven't yet, I heavily recommend you check out the text version too! It focuses a lot more on specific feelings and thoughts rather than just scenes. It has some slight differences from the comic that are great for crumbs of extra content XD
And I guess that's it for now! Keep an eye out these next weeks for new posts and we'll all be looking forward to the second arc, including myself.
Thank you for reading! <3
Shousetsu Sousou no Frieren: Zensou
Tumblr media
Author: Mei Hachimoku (Author of Natsu e no Tunnel, Sayonara no Deguchi)
Illustrator: Abe Tsukada
Original Story: Kanehito Yamada
Label: Shounen Sunday Comics
Release Date: 17 April 2024
My Score: 4/5
This volume is a collection of prequel short stories set in the Frieren universe. Each chapter focuses on a different character as we learn more about what their life was like before the start of the series.
We start the volume off with Fern, shortly after she starts living with Heiter. We then have a chapter with Stark, taking place shortly after his fight with Eisen as he arrives to the village that he will come to protect for three years. The third chapter focuses on Lawine and Kanne during their time at the magic school. As part of a test, they each have to defeat a monster. This is one of the more interesting stories in the volume as we haven't spent all that much time with these two in the main series and their past hasn't been touched on as much as Stark's and Fern's. I like the relationship between these two so it was nice to see more of them. The next chapter is an Aura chapter. This one starts with her first encounter with Himmel and Frieren and the other heroes, and the fallout from her army's defeat at their hands. This is another highlight as we barely spent any time with Aura in the main series so it's nice to see her being explored here. It's fun to be in the head of a demon too and to see their POV. This the longest story in the volume, and it's also the only one where I think the experience is improved if you've read up to at least volume 9 of the manga (which is where I am at), because Macht, a demon introduced in volume 9, makes an appearance. It's still definitely possible to read and have fun without having read the manga, but it does slightly improve the experience. The final chapter, of course, focuses on Frieren herself, reminiscing about her time with Flamme, and then about her time with Himmel and the others. It's a good story to end the volume on, even if it isn't a stand out. It's also got a few references to popular gags in the manga (like Frieren's blowing a kiss special attack), which was a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed this volume. It was easy to read and Mei Hachimoku captured the feeling and atmosphere of the Frieren series perfectly. Even when it was covering ground already tread by the manga, like Fern's relationship with Heiter, it was never boring. While I wouldn't call it a must read volume as it doesn't provide any particularly new insights for the characters or important information for the story, it was a delight to read and I would easily recommend it to Frieren fans. You probably could get away with reading this without having any previous experience with the franchise, but it would be a lot more boring and I can't see any reason to read this if you don't already love the characters and the world they inhabit.
I do want to mention that there aren't really any illustrations in the volume. Different sections of the cover are used as the title pages for the chapters and that's really it. There aren't any colour illustrations or monochrome illustrations depicting the events in the chapters. I somewhat expected this to be the case, but it's still disappointing. I get that Abe Tsukada was probably too busy drawing for the manga to do more than the cover for this volume, but I can't help but wish that were just a couple of illustrations throughout.
I wanna make a quick post talking about the Purified Au, more specifically what happens between the events of season 1 and 2 of Dragons Rising. I've been meaning to make this post for a while now but I kept forgetting
ANYWAY, I've already mentioned before that the Oliver and Wyldfyre comics take place between the events of season 1 and 2, more specifically they happen somewhat shortly after the events of season 1. (Side note, I do still plan of finishing those it's just that season 2 coming out got me a little sidetracked)
So the other major thing that happens between seasons is that the other ninja do find out about Oliver's outbursts and how he's been transforming into his more scary form to fight off bad guys.
I may make a comic/short fic about this scene someday, but to give a basic idea of how things go down, the group goes out to deal with some trouble like usual. They end up splitting up to deal with the thugs, and one of them is a former member of the Claws of Imperium. Oliver goes after them and ends up going into outburst mode and is then confronted by Lloyd who is a little freaked out and tells Oliver to stop. They argue for a bit, Oliver saying that this person is gonna harm more people and Lloyd saying that they shouldn't take such drastic measures. Eventually, the former Claw of Imperium states that they honestly just don't know what to do know that Imperium is capturing dragons like they used to and they just feel lost and confused. Lloyd then comforts them and helps them onto a better path. Lloyd and Oliver then leave, Oliver turning back to normal and Lloyd continuing the argument from earlier. Oliver does manage to explain that he just wants to protect everyone, and Lloyd understands that, but encourages Oliver to try and keep his anger in check so he isn't going full scary mode on low level thugs. Oliver agrees and they probably hug or something. Afterwards, Lloyd ends up letting the other ninja know about what happened with Oliver so that they're aware and they won't be as caught off guard if they see Oliver go Outburst mode in the middle of battle.
Slightly minor thing but I also like the idea of Kai being the one to actually help Oliver control his anger and not let it get out of control all the time since Kai has had a lot of experience with that. This also just makes Kai getting sacrificed and Oliver going into an Outburst afterwards hurt even more which is always great :)
So yeah, that's about everything I feel the need to mention for now. I basically just wanted to establish that by the time season 2 comes around, the ninja are fully aware of Oliver's outbursts and he's no longer hiding them.
Most of Grant's solo is motivated by his need to learn who his real parents were. But even though he does find out the truth, his relationship with the parents he never got to meet (or rather with the idea of them, with what could have been) never quite gets resolved, and I would love to see this revisited now that he's alive again in recent comics.
After a lot of dead ends and red herrings, Grant finally learns from Vandal Savage, who was responsible for the experimentation done on Grant and for placing him with the Emersons, that his real parents were Al Pratt (the Atom) and his wife Mary James.
Mary was murdered shortly after giving birth, her baby was taken away to be experimented upon, and Al had no idea that any of this had happened. He died in the Zero Hour event, about twelve hours before Grant got dragged in to save the day. They so narrowly missed each other!
Grant, like most of us, isn't well-informed about every obscure Golden Age JSA hero, so this revelation doesn't have any context for him. He knows his parents' names, but feeling actually connected to them...? Not so much.
Tumblr media
(Damage #12)
It gets even more complicated with the additional reveal that although the Pratts were his biological parents, he was injected with the DNA of many other superheroes. The primary donor of these was J'onn J'onzz (Martian Manhunter), but Grant is also genetically related to
Barry Allen (Flash)
Johnny Chambers (Johnny Quick)
Arthur Curry (Aquaman)
Joan Dale-Trevor (Miss America)
Jay Garrick (Flash)
Ted Grant (Wildcat)
Carter Hall (Hawkman)
Shiera Hall (Hawkgirl)
Hal Jordan (Green Lantern)
Ted Knight (Starman)
Dinah Drake Lance (Black Canary)
Dinah Laurel Lance (Black Canary)
Libby Lawrence (Liberty Belle)
Charles McNider (Doctor Mid-Nite)
Ray Palmer (Atom)
Alan Scott (Green Lantern)
Rex Tyler (Hourman)
So not only does Grant have parents whom he knows nothing about, but he also has eighteen other "parents," some living, some dead, whose combined DNA has contributed to the powers he's still trying to adjust to. So many good people whose child he could technically be considered, and yet he still ended up raised by the abusive Emersons, who had no real connection to him. It's a lot to process. He is overwhelmed and confused--but he still wants to make contact with his real parents in the only way he can now.
He asks to be taken to their graves.
Tumblr media
(Damage #15)
Several of his JSA "fathers" (Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, Ted Grant, and Ted Knight) come to the cemetery to meet him and try to make some sense of the situation. This information is just as new to them as it is to Grant, but they do seem willing to accept him and bring him into the JSA legacy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This would have been an interesting direction to take the story: having the entire JSA take on Grant as their collective child. He used to have no real family, and now he's part of many families! But this is a dynamic that never gets to happen, for whatever reason. Although Grant does picture something like it in an illusory sequence. It's what he wants: acceptance into a family.
Tumblr media
(JLA Titans #2)
But by the end of his solo, he's on his own, although he makes a point of seeking out Albert Rothstein, his father's godson, for information about his father--which we can assume Albert was only too happy to give. He and Al were very close.
We don't get to see here how hearing about how someone else got to have a warm, quasi-parental relationship with the father Grant never got to meet might have affected Grant, but remember this for later.
Tumblr media
(Damage #20)
During Grant's hiatus from the Titans, he and Jesse Quick have an encounter with some malevolent beings who impersonate people from their past. Grant sees his parents and hears something from his father that he probably has always wanted to hear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Titans 1999 #45)
But he's still enough in possession of his faculties to question it with the painful truth. His father never met him. Never knew about him. Couldn't have cared about him. And what does that leave him with? His foster parents and their "love" that came with abuse.
Tumblr media
His real parents died before they could know him. His foster parents failed him. His JSA parents either are dead or haven't done much to actually support him after his time with the Titans and the fight that scarred his face. By the time Grant is a young adult and has joined the JSA (who all seem to have forgotten that they're technically related to him), he's harboring a lot of bitterness toward his father.
Tumblr media
(Justice Society of America 2007 #3)
He insists he's not following in his father's footsteps, and he is adamant about not taking up his father's mantle. He is Damage.
There's some inconsistency in this panel (Grant knew nothing whatsoever about Al Pratt before finding out they were related), but it's made clear that the bitterness comes from feeling abandoned and disconnected.
Tumblr media
(Justice Society of America 2007 #16)
This resentment comes to a head after Grant has joined the cult of a villain who restored his face. This change in loyalties has caused a lot of trouble for the JSA. Albert tries to do the brotherly thing and talk some sense into Grant by reconnecting him to his father.
Tumblr media
(JSA Kingdom Come Special: The Kingdom #1)
Which is something that should have happened a long time ago! Grant should have gotten the opportunity to see his parents' house and artifacts. It would have been a way to connect, especially at a time when he was more open to that, but for whatever reason that didn't happen, and he's in no frame of mind to accept this as a kindness.
Instead he projects his own jealousy onto Albert, destroys his father's belongings, uses a term for his father that is both very rude and inaccurate, and deliberately blows up the entire house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(JSA Kingdom Come Special: The Kingdom #1)
This level of maliciousness is not normal for him, and of course it's exacerbated by the influence of the villain he's currently following, but still...he's way out of line. This is him at his absolute worst. Accidental destruction has left him with a lot of guilt before. But how does he feel knowing that he let his anger get so out of hand that he obliterated so many physical ties to his father's memory--things that meant something, if not to him, then to his almost-brother?
Well, it's never directly addressed. But he does seem to have some guilt when faced with a memorial to his father.
Tumblr media
(Blackest Night #1)
During the Blackest Night event, when Grant encounters the Black Lantern version of his father (basically an evil zombie), "Al" spouts all of Grant's frustrations with him.
And Grant responds with what Albert tried to remind him of. His father didn't know about him. It wasn't his fault. This is some small progress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Blackest Night #4)
In fact, if Al had known about Grant, things would have been incredibly different. The Pratts were evidently desperate to have children, since they were still trying for one so late in life (Grant would have been born in the late 1970s, and the Pratts would have been in their fifties by then if they were college-age in the early 1940s, which doesn't make a lot of sense for the established timeline, but whatever the case, the point still stands: older-than-usual first-time parents).
Before Al even married, he was already eager to find out if he and Mary would have kids and his reaction to learning that they'd have "at least one" is excitement.
Tumblr media
(The New Golden Age #1)
Was it confidence in this prophecy that kept the Pratts trying for a baby for so long?
If Al's relationship with Albert is any indication of what he would have been like as a father, he would have been a good one. And he would have been outraged if he knew what the Emersons did to his son. If editorial mandate had not ensured that Zero Hour went the way it did, there could have been an eventual father-son reunion that would have taken Grant's solo in a completely different direction.
But that didn't happen, and Al is still dead in the current continuity. Grant, however, was last seen in the company of one of the newly restored lost children. Is he going to adopt a mentor role now? Will that require him to reconsider his own relationships with all the father-figures he had/could have had?
At any rate, a good step for him might be to address his name. After finding out about his complicated parentage, he felt that Damage was the only name he had left. But that's not true.
What if he dropped "Emerson," the name of the people who abused him, a symbol of all that painful baggage he's been carrying around? What if he instead chose to proudly use his birth name: Grant Albert Pratt?
How exactly was Jon Kent’s introduction handled? Did Clark essentially just bring him out like “hey guys, here’s my 10 year old son I haven’t told you about” ?
If you mean canonically in the comics….like with many, MANY things. It’s complicated but I’ll give it my best
See in 2015, during the height of the New 52 era, was the event comic Convergence. In this one, Brainiac, who basically is revealed as techno organic eldritch abomination in a dimension known as the Vanishing Point, has kept various versions of Gotham and Metropolis from all through the DC multiverse’s histories in bottles right before the Flashpoint reboot altered everything.
One of these cities was the Pre-Flashpoint/Post-Crisis Metropolis containing their Clark and a pregnant Lois Lane. In their tie in issue, after an encounter with the flashpoint Superman and Batman aka Thomas Wayne, Lois successfully gives birth to Jon.
At the end of the event itself, Pre Flashpoint Clark, Pre Flashpoint Barry Allen, Parallax!Hal Jordan and Pre Crisis Kara meet up with the main leads of the event (The survivors of Post Flashpoint Earth 2) to encounter Brainiac who as gratitude for rescuing him from the villains of said event, decides to return every city back to their proper place. However, the Original Crisis was a point even he found too strong to overwrite so those four heroes plus Lois and baby Jon are sent across time and space to take down the Anti Monitor prematurely and shortly afterwards, incorporated into the New 52 DCU
In particular, for Lois, Clark and Jon, they landed on the day the New 52 Justice League, with their own Superman in tow, was first formed. They got themselves temporary new identities as the Whites and for the in universe ten years lived a low profile yet relatively quiet life
It wasn’t until Jon was about 9 1/2 after a run in with Intergang that not only did he discover his own superpowers but also that indeed Clark was a second yet strangely older Superman. These were two things that surprisingly neither Lois and Clark were anticipating to kick in so quickly
A few months later, the New 52 Superman seemingly perished during a final battle against a rouge government experiment in trying to replicate his powers though not before him and the rest of the Trinity meet with Pre Flashpoint Clark and Lois. It’s after this and Lex Luthor making a claim as the next Superman that Clark decides to switch out his secret black and silver suit, shave his beard and don the red and blue once more. After a team to between the two to take down a resurgent Doomsday, Clark gets to work earning the people of New 52 Earth trust as a new Superman
Things come a head though when Jon starts developing heat vision as the Kents move to a small town community not too far from Metropolis called Hamilton County. It’s here Clark makes a choice to train Jon with those powers, by first a small mission to rescue a trapped submarine being attacked by a mind controlled giant squid monster. As Clark finds the device used to control said monster, he has Jon fire his red eye beams to destroy it but Jon is very reluctant to do so, afraid to hurt his Dad. But Clark is reassuring all the way through and Jon fires, first a big Kamehameha style beam before a Clark is able to instruct him to shrink it down to a small laser which surely does the trick
It’s here where Jon reveals he had purchased his trademark S logo sweatshirt.
After this and a massive battle between the two and a resurgent Eradicator which not only had them cause damage to Batman’s Moon Cave but also was shown to most of the world the presence of a younger Kryptonian, finally Clark decides to properly introduce Jon S. Kent to his Justice League allies as a brand new Superboy
For a final note, the Kents then have a run in with long time reality warping antagonist Mr Mxyzptlk which sees a brief return of the New 52 versions of Lois and Clark, revealing that indeed, the entity responsible for the New 52 in the first place actually had split Lois and Clark’s souls of sorts into two halves, the Pre Flashpoint side having the experience and love for each other yet not their history on the mainline DCU as their Post Flashpoint versions of themselves. Thanks to Jon’s presence, the two halves of the Kents merged with each other, becoming whole once more and now they no longer have to take on new identities as the Whites, they are the Kents. Plain and simple
What is the Fractured Family AU?
The Fractured Family AU is an AU created by Puppeteer which differs slightly from canon lore.
After the events of FFPS, the pizzeria burns down. However, some of the spirits involved in the fire did not disappear. Three of those spirits, Charlie, Cassidy, and Evan were taken in by the fire's sole living survivor; Henry. They are now living with him in his house.
Michael also survived the fire, and lives nearby. He used to live with Jeremy, but he was murdered died shortly before the events of this blog.
Henry is the owner of Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, assisted by Michael. The AU takes place shortly after the Pizzaplex has been opened, before the events of Security Breach/Ruin.
Plot
This askblog does have plot! What plot, you ask? Fuck around and find out :) Interacting with the characters in certain ways can cause the plot to advance. That or Puppeteer gets bored and speeds things along himself.
