Hey I have a genuine question for endogenic systems.

Let me start off by saying that our system is 100% pro-endogenic systems and we wouldn’t be where we are without endogenic systems helping us figure ourselves out. We wouldn’t know we have OSDDID without y’all.

Now here’s the actual question.

We are traumagenic. We experienced some horrible crap and we likely wouldn’t be plural without some form of trauma. But, we relate a lot to the experiences of endogenic systems; namely enjoying the plurality aspect (not the dissociation), and wanting to stay plural.

The things we don’t relate to with the traumagenic community is… honestly the unhealthy centering of trauma as an and-all-be-all of identity and plurality, and an unhealthy type of recovery culture surrounding it with a simultaneous need to stay sick to stay valid? It’s obviously only like… sysmeds… that do that, but they seem to hold the narrative on traumagenic plurality these days.

Would it be bad if we simply decided to identify as endogenic, even though we are, by definition, traumagenic?

We enjoy being plural (we don’t enjoy the disorder, such as dissociation and mood swings)

We have been working on communication for a year and a half so we consider each other to be friends

Due to our communication improving and through practice, we can also do things more typical of endogenic systems like purposeful temporary fusion (though traumagens can do it too… obviously I mean, look at us)

There’s less a focus on “we are sick,” and more a focus on “we are weird and that’s awesome!” And our system has always loved that sentiment since we were a kid

🍁This is gonna be heavy as shit probably but. I'm fucking tired of some of the "no headmates are evil" shit on here sometimes. Don't demonize (most) persecutors obviously but.

🍁When we have to deal with someone who actively suicide baits, emotionally abuses, physically abuses at times, and even SEXUALLY ASSULTS our host (WHO IS A FUCKING MINOR BY THE WAY) every chance he gets, it's fucking infuriating to know that all people are going to say is "you're being too harsh" or "you need to cooperate with him" or "you shouldn't even keep him locked up or else you're an asshole".

🍁Not everyone in the plural community is like that, obviously-- but in-sys abuse is almost never properly talked about and there's a heavy emphasis on "forgiving" the people who abuse you in-sys. Even though there is nowhere NEAR as much emphasis on forgiveness in non-sys abuse.

Derived from "ka'el" meaning "shadow" and "le'el" meaning something along the lines of "being." This etymology could be interpreted as referring to the fact that sourced headmates are like another version of their source.

(Please Note: The word "ka'el" does not have the same implications of being "lesser" as the word "shadow" in English. In fact, the word "ka'el" can also mean "darkness," which, it is also important to note, has the opposite moral implication than in English, largely because we're autistic Do Not Like Bright Lights.)

It was originally chosen in reference to the fact that our internal way of referring to sourced headmates is "ghost," derived from our term for partially formed headmates: "wisps."

In our system, all introjects start off as wisps that then either bind to a pre-existing or new headmate or become more and more "developed" through experience and interaction, in a similar way to how tulpas typically form and become more developed, hence "kale'el" also sometimes meaning "tulpa."
