If "idrc about trans people" or " i'm neutral about trans people" would piss you off so should "idrc about endogenics" and "I'm neutral on endogenic systems"
We actually ARE tagging this and pinging folks since a lotta people need to hear this and that's the best we can think to do if @sophieinwonderland or @syscourse101 wanna rb.
We mean, the bigoted fuckers who'll complain about us are gonna get blocked and the silent ones will just...have something to think about now re: their bigotry or block us anyways lmao.

Many anti-endogenic systems will argue that DID & therefore systemhood is a trauma-based disorder at its core, and cannot exist without chronic childhood trauma. Let’s analyze that.
Disclaimer: This analysis ignores the existence of spiritual systems, as the crossroads between religion and psychology is very tricky to understand, and we believe we’re not qualified to write on that subject. This analysis also only covers the DID diagnosis itself, whether it applies to endogenic or traumagenic systems. It mentions but does not extensively cover systems without a DID diagnosis, which are valid in their own right and may have achieved functional multiplicity.
Let’s start at the basics: the criteria for DID according to the DSM-5. According to webmd.com, to diagnose DID, the patient must have:
“Two or more distinct identities or personality states are present, each with its own relatively enduring pattern of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and self.
Amnesia must occur, defined as gaps in the recall of everyday events, important personal information, and/or traumatic events.
The person must be distressed by the disorder or have trouble functioning in one or more major life areas because of the disorder.
The disturbance is not part of normal cultural or religious practices.
The symptoms cannot be due to the direct physiological effects of a substance (such as blackouts or chaotic behavior during alcohol intoxication) or a general medical condition (such as complex partial seizures).”
Points 4 and 5 focus on religion and drug use, which are going to be ignored for the sake of this analysis. It’s the first three points that play a key role in the diagnosis of DID, OSDD-1, and DDNOS.
Working backwards: point 3 says that the system’s plurality must be disordered to have the diagnosis. Therefore, any form of functional plurality is excluded from the diagnosis; despite this, functional multiplicity is often the goal of extensive therapy when diagnosed with a dissociative disorder. The reversing of the third point of the diagnosis is often the goal of treatment. However, when people state they want to reach full integration to obtain functional multiplicity, it’s often misunderstood. Integration is the process by which the amnesiac barriers between system members lower and communication between members strengthens, whereas fusion is the process where system members merge into one whole piece, essentially turning a system into a singlet over time (source 1, source 2, source 3). You may be able to tell that by achieving functional multiplicity, amnesia is lessened, following the reversing of point 2.
If we break up the previous paragraph, we can come up with a diagnostic criteria and treatment for plurality using the first three criteria:
DID is diagnosed when a person shows multiple identity states[1] that suffer with amnesia between them[2], resulting in heavy distress in their life[3].
Functional Multiplicity, which is achieved through integration (the lowering of amnesia barriers[2]), can lead to less distress[3] in a system’s life as their identity states work in better harmony[1].
Comically, none of the criteria itself uses the word “dissociative”, though the avenue of it will be pursued due to being in the name of the disorder. In traumagenic systems, yes, the dissociation is brought on by severe trauma. But what about endogenic systems who are diagnosed with DID? In these cases, it’s more likely that their system started spontaneously, naturally, or from some other cause; however it came about, originally, they were not distressed. A severe stressor happened later in life for these diagnosed endogenic systems: while that could be them encountering trauma, it could also be the stress of any natural disaster (or, in recent times, a certain pandemic). Dissociation could also happen as a result of anxiety or another mental illness. Dissociation itself is a coping mechanism for any stressor, and it’s important to know that, while trauma counts as a stressor, not all stressors equate to trauma.
As a final note, not all endogenic systems need to be diagnosed with DID to be valid, nor do all traumagenic systems need to be diagnosed. We ourselves are traumagenic, and we don’t want to be diagnosed with DID; we want to seek help to cope with past traumas we went through, as dealing with that is more important to us (and will likely be more effective for us) than dealing with our amnesiac barriers directly. Functional multiplicity exists, and a system is still a system, whether diagnosed or not.

(I've decided to do an introduction post because why not.)
There's a read more cuz I'm sick of scrolling and scrolling
✨About Us✨
We're a quoigenic median system (six known alters including myself)! The person typing this is the host, Rocket. My system is weird so alters might accidentally post here but I'll try to keep it just me. However the whole system's on @annoying-xthing
I'm a genderqueer lesbobattery, and I use all pronouns except it/its and nounself pronouns unless specified. list of pronouns here:
I'm also AuDHD (self-diagnosed) and a minor.
I was well-known on this one site before I got banned, please don't bring that drama here❤ I think I've changed a lot since then and I'm trying to be a better person anyway.
✨this is a safe space for:✨
Queers, xenogenders, all systems, neopronouns, mspec lesbians/gays, anti-contact paraphiles, disabled folk, pretty much anyone who has an identity that isn't harming anyone
✨DNI✨
Racists, queerphobic, pro-contact paras, lolicons, anti-endo, people against "contradictory" labels, gacha heat mfs, ai """artists""", anti-mask, anti furries, anti therians, anti otherkin, radqueers, transID (outside of transgender and transspecies, so sorry y'all get grouped with those mfs) basic dni criteria. Proships and shipcoursers in general- I dont use a label cuz i don't really get it but keep proshipping away from me and my OCs as it makes me uncomfortable
Oh!!!! Also I'm a cringey freak (/nx) so if you don't like that go away
Anyway now that you have the information needed to know if you want to block me or not here's actual stuff about me
✨Actual stuff about me✨
I have a YouTube channel where I sometimes post art and gacha! I also like kandi and books!! I'm also alternative !
I have trouble understanding things sometimes so please use tone tags!! If you have a typing quirk where you typ3 1!k3 d!$ !^$t3@4 0f ^0/m@11y (type like this instead of normally) that's cool but provide a translation like I did since they can be hard to understand + difficult to read!
Idk what I'll blog about, probably system stuff, queer stuff, vents and occasionally infodumps about hyperfixations or my OCs
Anyways if you're reading this I hope you have the day/night you deserve <3 stay safe!

Hi M&M, Inside Out anon here! Thank you for answer, firstly, very reassuring. I/we have a follow-up q though - you mention people in between plural and singlet; what do you call them, and are they still systems? Because i realise now that our parts have always been there, but i am always the one physically in control, they just influence how we perceive things and respond to them. In other words, not distinct and possessive like other systems who completely blackout.
Hello again Inside Out Anon!
The term I was thinking of was "median". Medians, according to my understanding of the definition, are those who fall somewhere in between systemhood and being a singlet. This can present in multiple ways, but I encourage you to look it up more on your own, as I'm not super well versed in the subject and don't want to say anything inaccurate. (We have some experiences with medianhood, however; our system has an alter in-system who was a median subsystem at one time or another.)
Whether or not a median/median system chooses to identify as a system (Or plural) is really up to them on an individual basis, as the definition of the two terms can often be a bit hazy and subjective.
Finally, not all systems have black-outs, and not all systems switch fully! There really are no 'rules' to how a system should function, the only possible exception of this being with dissociative disorder diagnoses, in which a patient must meet specific criteria to be diagnosed. However, not all systems have dissociative disorders, and those who don't are just as real and valid as those who do. Everyone functions differently, and if you don't have blackouts or full switches, then that's fine! My system doesn't have blackouts either.
We wish you the best, and our inbox will always be open to you and anyone else who feels the need to send asks our way. Have a great rest of your day, and good luck!

Just another discourse blog ig
This is really just a blog to dump our opinions, gather information, and strengthen our confidence in debating / speaking of things we care about. A lot of people make opinions into a spiral of heavy discourse, hence why we're calling it a discourse blog.
You can just call us Woag [woah with a g], we use he/it collectively, and we will not be disclosing our main blog nor our system name out of comfort. We may occasionally mention our partner system, but don't ask for their user. If they interact with this blog and say they're our ps, that's fine, but we're not going to be giving it out on their behalf.
We have no DNI, but we block freely. If you send death threats, or similar, to anybody you'll be blocked.
Tumblr media
Important to Note:
We're collectively trans and run a mogai blog. We also support mspec lesbians/gays.
We're collectively autistic, and have a hard time articulating our thoughts sometimes. Likely, if we take a long time to respond or seem "clumsy" in our responses, it's due to that.
We believe self-diagnosis is valid
We believe in non-traumagenic plurality, as well as non-disordered plurality
Introjects are not always their source, but they can also identify with it. Ask before assuming they are, ask before assuming they aren't.
The most important: Labels are fluid and usage changes from person-to-person or system-to-system. Just because we need rigid definitions, and have our own rigid definitions, does not mean anyone else's use of the term should be criticized. You can correct us if you believe our use of a term is wrong, we don't mind, but don't be a dick to us or anybody else about it
Feel free to send asks about our stance on things, or our advice. We aren't perfect by any means, but if you find comfort or believe we could help with advice, go ahead. [please be respectful within asks]

plurality is a spectrum. no one's plurality is going to look exactly the same because by nature of plurality, we are all different. some plurals have headspaces, some don't, some have inconsistent headspaces. some plurals have easy communication, some have none, some have difficult communication. some have strong amnesia, some have none, some have weak amnesia. some have really diverse headmates, some have really similar headmates, some have a lot of headmates, some have few headmates. some are disordered, some are not, some lie in an inbetween. some are adaptive, some are spontaneous, some are created. and some of these things can vary from day to day or as systems change over time. plurality is a spectrum, not just a black and white experience

A Study on the Origins of Endogenic Systems
A while ago one of our newer members, Jake, went into a bit of a frenzy. He discovered endogenic systems, and while the rest of us were accepting and encouraging, he wanted to find the "root of their plurality". We (as a collective) began conducting this survey with the hopes of learning what makes endogenic systems identify as such, and concluded with the answer that systems that are under the endogenic umbrella are valid no matter how they identify, as well as system origin not always relating to member origin.
The survey given was to learn more about the wider endogenic community and how they express their system origin. There is a lot of conflict between those that believe systems are only created through trauma, and those that identify as explicitly non-traumagenic. The survey aimed to look at the different origin identities across the plural community, and attempt to introduce a new theory behind plurality and identity states. While a theory was unable to be introduced, new questions are posed about both the external and internal demographics of and in systems, respectively.
We hope for this report and survey results to be beneficial to the community. There was a total of 86 participants, with many leaving either credited or anonymous testimony into how they function. Our hypothesis was presented in the paper, and proven true and false on various accounts. We hope you enjoy our 19-page rambling of the Theory of Structural Dissociation, its problems, the background of endogenic terms, the discussion of spirituality's importance to plurality, and the role neurodivergencies and physical illnesses play in systems.
(The full data, without background or analysis or anything, can be found here:)

Plural culture is thinking you’re just genderfluid and abrosexual, and fluid with pronouns, and change interests back and forth very quickly, and just randomly changing names because you just decided you don’t like that other one and this one’s so much better, then changing it back, and-
(even without these things you are still valid💙)

Hi M&M, how are you all? I'm currently a singlet, but we have a question about being parogenic: as we said,
I'm a singlet struggling with spacing out (not like a petit-mal, we've had those before, this is different) and occasional depersonalization. (like brief emotional numbing) independent decision-making is also really hard, and researching my special interests makes me feel like a new person, like they don't belong to my core self. It's as if I create different personas to deal with each interest. we feel creating alters would help with putting a face to my inner thoughts. like the personification of the emotions and islands in inside out and we'd like to use plural pronouns because we are different thoughtforms for each interest.,but we don't know if this is ridiculous and rude to explicitly traumagenic systems. Like, is it offensive to start identifying as plural partway through life when you have no prior explicit trauma and you view yourself as a clearly separate bunch of emotions and interests, rather than a unified sense of self, and you believe it helps with decision making.
Hi Anon, we are well, thanks for asking! Let's go over your questions...
First off, let me be clear and say that it is perfectly fine if you/you& have discovered your plurality at a later point in life, or if you've created your plurality through parogenic means at an older age. There is no set time for self-discovery, and if you're just figuring these things out now, all the more power to you!
Second, your existence isn't offensive. Your identity and experiences are perfectly valid, and whether or not others agree is not really your problem. Nobody else has the right to dictate your validity as a system/singlet/anything in between. Systems can form without trauma, and they can form at any point in a person's life. Some don't believe in this sentiment, and it's quite a topic of discourse in the wider plural community. Nonetheless, here we believe in and support endogenic systems, non-traumagenic systems, and created/tulpa/parogenic systems. To us, your identity is real and utterly unproblematic. Try your best to be understanding and friendly when interacting with traumagenic systems (and all systems regardless of origin as a whole) and remember that other plural's systems may function differently from your own. If you remain respectful of other's experiences, I don't think that most non-sysmeds would find you/you& to be rude.
We wish you& the best of luck with your thoughtforms, thank you so much for reaching out!^^
