zolu is maybe one of the easiest ships i've ever liked. they're dating, except when they're not, they're best friends even when they're kissing and they're still captain and first mate when they aren't. they hold hands, they hug. they have sex. they don't.
Luffy can hold Zoro's katanas and Zoro can hold Luffy's strawhat and no one bats an eye. one says "You're so cool!" and the other says "You're strong" and it's just another way to say "I see you, this is why I follow you/this is why I trust you". it's not seeing each other for a long time and still knowing how the other's steps sound like against wood and sand. the captain runs and the first mate follows. it's always "Zoro and the others" and "Where's Luffy?"
if they're just friends, if they're something more, if they don't have a label for it, at its core, it's just about how they get each other. they understand how the other's mind works. however you view them, it doesn't erase they fact that they love each other in a way they don't love other people.

I feel like platonically kissing your friends, even on the lips, should be an alright thing if the friends are okay with it. Sometimes I just feel so much platonic love for my friends I feel the only way I can express it is by kissing them

The Barbie movie was absolutely incredible and I adored how it was funny, satirical, genuinely meaningful and so aesthetically pleasing but one thing that got me, spoilers ahead, was how they had a genuinely pleasing plot twist within the movie.
I, like many people, assumed that the movie would be Barbie goes to the real world and shenanigans ensue and there’s some beautiful meaning of life, but I never thought about the impact going to the real world would have on Barbieland, so it was a genuinely fun and well done surprise when Ken brings back the patriarchy to Barbieland and they have to find a way to defeat it. I didn’t see it coming but it makes perfect sense and foreshadows it beautifully.
Ken only has a great day if Barbie looks at him, his entire life is built around Barbie’s acknowledgement, and the other Ken’s are competition for Barbie’s acknowledgement, Barbie doesn’t even know where he sleeps, so of course going to the Real World where he’s treated where he has actual capabilities and can do something, it becomes incredibly warped for him in how he perceives it and how he brings it back to Barbieland. I thought Ken would just be Barbie’s token boyfriend, but really it’s just as much about Ken learning how to exist outside of Barbie and being enough just as himself in a healthy, mature manner.
Additionally it was so refreshing how Barbie cares about Ken, but there are little details, where she just smiles as he kisses her and even looks a little uncomfortable, how she doesn’t even want to consider the prospect of him staying the night or being a part of her Dreamhouse, and doesn’t really communicate with Ken that show the cracks in their relationships from the beginning, and how Barbie doesn’t want the relationship that Ken wants, and that’s not the fault of either party, and she doesn’t have to be with him and he doesn’t have to be with her just because that’s the way things are and in the end it’s healthier for both of them when they finally communicate their wants and needs, and walk away from the idea of a romantic relationship between the two of them.
Its how codependency and defining yourself by your partner are unhealthy and can’t have a sustainable relationship because it’s fundamentally unfulfilling for both parties. It’s how compulsory heterosexuality (AroAce Barbie my beloved) creates uncomfortable standards and pressure to be in a relationship in particular way that leaves both members unsatisfied in different ways. It’s about toxic masculinity and how the patriarchy hurts every person involved and is fundamentally unsustainable for every person involved.
Barbie was such a witty, fun but also really meaningful movie and genuinely good.

So the fucking are Aro men queer poll has angered me way too much for a poll I didn't see because I have apparently successfully curated my dash to avoid aphobia. But I still have thoughts about it an I do want to get them out.
You're fucking interpersonal misandry** is not fucking cute. It's not quirky. It's not an aesthetic. It makes you actively unpleasant to talk to and is often used as a silencer for bigotry against opressed groups.
A lot has been said about people tacking in straight and white to misogynistic statements to make them suddenly not misogynistic. This is a genuine issue and has over taken far too much intersectional discourse which is possibly one of the most important fields to getting a proper understanding of oppression.
People are doing the same with men and I cannot be the only person noticing this.
Men cannot be trusted and will attempt to assault you at random on the street- so so many white people see this and then substitute in that this is talking about PoC. So often.
Men will pretend to be more feminine to win women's trust- queer men and gnc people are an active threat. As is anyone you perceive as being a man so that goes double for trans femmes who already have that stereotype. And of course trans men and butch lesbians are also at risk here because not being perfectly masculine is now a threat.
And of course
Cishet aro men aren't queer- aromantic people are not queer and men will pretend to be queer for some kind of social clout I guess.
You guys are getting really fucking comfortable doing this and it's gross.
**I say interpersonal because I know I'll get a million fucking people jumping down my throat that misandry doesn't exist because it's not a systemic issue and as much as I would love to have an argument about the nuances of how patriarchy effects every gender in ways that are oppressive and that although men do get a better deal of it under said system it is by no means not deeply harmful too them that is not my fucking point so at minimum we can agree this exists interpersonally

An especially happy pride to those in the asexual and aromatic community who ever have to explain themselves instead of just being left alone or respected. No should always be more than enough.

(This is a long one)
(TW: mentions of sh)
I hate myself
I hate how I can’t be normal
I hate myself
I hate how I can’t keep friends
I hate myself
I hate how I push away the people I care about
I hate myself
I hate how my body is covered in scars
Both self inflicted and not
I hate myself
I hate how I try so hard and never get it
I hate myself
I hate how my expectations are so high
I hate myself
I hate how my brain works
I hate myself
I hate how one thing ruins my day
I hate myself
I hate how I can’t fall in love
I hate myself
I hate how I’ll never get the life I wanted when I was a little girl
I hate myself
I hate how I’ll never look how I want to
I hate myself
I hate the scars sprawled across my chest
I hate myself
I hate how everyone around me is happy
I hate myself
I hate how I’ll never function properly
I hate myself
I hate myself
I hate myself

Night Court Retelling/Blossoming Laws
Headcanons/Ideas
Why can I imagine Christine being aroace? Like she aroace and she wants a child and she still gets Charlie it just I can see her being aroace.
Yes aromatic people can get into relationships if it means to have a kid and yes aseuxal people can have sex if it means to have a child.
Another Headcaon is I can see Dan being a trans man I had made a post about this before but his name Reinhold could of been a female name that starts with a R and later on realizes he a trans man and goes by Dan.
One more thing
Even in my retelling Dan's parents are so accepting of Dan and Harry dating because all they want to see is there Dannyboy happy. Which this headcanon is just wholesome.
Again I am headcaon Dan as aseuxal because I can imagine he thinks he needs to be lustful to have love but in reality he doesn't and Harry shows Dan that.
One more thing is
Bull, Mac, Mac's wife I can't remember how to spell her name and maybe Roz are straight but allies.
Roz i could maybe see being aroace as well.
It's night time and I'm just letting ideas out and what to know your guys thoughts and opinions.

Nebularomantic culture is not feeling like you belong.
You don’t want to be grouped in with the allos because you have your own unique experience and love embracing your identity, but you also don’t feel like you’re “aro enough” because of the fact that your identity causes you to love more rather than love less… doesn’t help how heated things can get in the aspec community and even just watching from the sidelines makes you anxious..
