“H-Hand me t-t-the hydro s-s-spanner R3”
The transport ship you had been working on was nearly finished. It looked like it had been to hell and back, covered in scorch marks, one side had half of the metal panels missing causing the need for the exposed wiring to be completely replaced. You had been stuck working on this ship for nearly 10 hours and was just about ready to call it quits. As you wipe the sweat from your brow you hear a commotion coming from the entry of the hangar.
“Their back!”
“Oh I hope there all okay!”
“I hope Wrecker picks me up again!”
The marauder lands and all the boys exit the ship. Clone force 99 has been the object of affection for a lot of the civilian mechanics. Most of the girls around here are used to the average clone so when the bad batch were put into the action most of the girls saw it as something different and throw themselves at them whenever they return home. You also thought they were handsome, especially one in particular but, you kept that to yourself. There's a reason you're a loner, nobody wants a stuttering mess of a person, including a super soldier with enhanced abilities.
R3 rolls off to go and see the boys, knowing that Tech likes to dote on him. As you continue your wiring you hear the happy chirps of R3 getting closer and you giggle, “Y-yes R3 I’m g-g-glad the b-boys are h-home t-too.”
“Yes, it is good to be home,” Tech says as he walks over to you with your droid, the others are trailing behind him.
Your cheeks flush and you avoid the gaze of a certain sniper in the back of the group, “H-How w-was the m-m-mission?”
“Long, but successful” Hunter says tiredly.
You smile and nod, “I-I’m glad y-your all s-safe.”
You had become friends with Tech after he fixed an issue with R3 a while back. You didn’t even know what was wrong with the astromech, but Tech saw you struggling and his curiosity got the better of him and he came to offer his assistance. Since then, he always comes to check up on you whenever they return home. He was a talker and a tinkerer, and since you preferred listening to talking, Tech rather enjoyed your company, especially when he needed time away from his brothers. Tech was one of the people you can genuinely say is a friend, he was always patient, understanding and never made fun of your stutter. He did sometimes try to come up with different methods and exercises for you to try to reduce the amount of stuttering, but you assumed Hunter told him to stop because he hasn’t said anything recently. You know he does it out of concern since he found out about the bullying, he’s been more attentive and checking on you more, even the other squad members come with him to check on you now. You assume he told them as well, which is its own form of embarrassing, but you know Tech means well so you can’t really hold it against him.
You glance around you and see some of the other girls pretending to be working while they glare at you. It hadn’t been bad at first, you had grown up with the stutter, you know how cruel people can be, so when some of the other mechanics started making offhand comments you didn’t let it bother you. Then it became more frequent, starting to make fun of you to your face and laugh when you would try to stutter your way through defending yourself, but when Tech became your friend, it got a whole lot worse. Suddenly the girls would corner you, make fun of and threaten you, hide your tools so you couldn’t work and complain about you to your superior, all because the batch were forming a friendship with you and in doing so, taking their eyes off of them. You didn’t tell Tech that the bullying got worse, you knew he would try to make it right or worse stop coming around so much. No matter how bad these girls treat you, you would put up with it every time if it meant you had a group of people you could call your friends.
Crosshair noticed your gaze flickering to the girls behind them, but he said nothing. He had noticed recently that you’ve been more skiddish, and quiet. You’ve been trying to keep your distance without jeopardizing the friendship, suffering in silence. At first when Tech told the batch that you were being bullied Crosshair wanted to go off on his own and teach those girls a lesson because how dare they bully someone so beautiful and innocent? Until he realized that he was acting emotionally and instead just stayed quiet. It's not his fight, and even though it was very obvious you had a crush on him he wasn’t going to act on it. No matter how beautiful and perfect he thought you were...
“Something wrong?” Crosshair asked raising a brow.
Your eyes widened and you quickly looked down blushing hard knowing you’ve been caught, “N-No.”
The others glance around and then nod to each other thinking its best they leave. They nod to you and leave the hangar, Hunter patting your shoulder on his way. Tech looks at you unsure, “Are you sure you’re, okay?”
You smile at your friend, “I-I’m ok T-Tech.”
“Alright if you're sure... Would you join us for dinner later? If you're finished with your work,” he asks hopefully.
“I-I’d like t-that," you say gently.
Tech nods and leaves the hangar to join the rest of the batch. You start to put your tools away, finally done for the day when a boot kicks your toolbox spilling your tools all over the hangar floor, “You’ve got some nerve stutters, flirting with them like the rest of us don’t have a chance!”
“I-I w-wasn't f-flirt-”
“Shut up!” Neela yells, the three other girls who make your life hell joining her around you. “You just don’t learn, do you? We told you to stay away from them, but you just can’t help yourself!”
A loud smack echos through the hangar as you feel the sting on your cheek. Tears well up in your eyes as you grab your cheek, “I-I’m s-s-sorry! I w-wasn't-”
“I said shut up!” Neela interrupts pushing you down. R3 was trying to get to you but the others held him back, “Next time you pull a stunt like that we’ll make sure, you regret it...”
She turns on her heels and walks away the others trailing behind her avoiding your gaze as R3 rolls beside you chirping fast making sure you're okay. You quickly pick up your tools throwing them into your toolbox and then run out of the hangar back to your bunk, tears streaming down your face, and R3 rolling behind you.
What you didn’t know was that Crosshair had come back to grab something from the marauder when he witnessed what had happened. And he was fuming.
...
You skipped dinner with the boys knowing that the girls would have been watching, and instead just lay in your bunk crying. You hear an unexpected knock on your door and roll over hoping the person would leave. The knocking however continued, and you sighed getting out of bed going to the door. You looked in the mirror and cringed at the sight, the red puffy eyes, tear streaks down your face, the bruise on your cheek, you’re a mess. You pulled your hair in front of your face best you could and opened the door.
Not looking up you see a tall thin physique in nothing but blacks, “C-can I h-h-help you?”
A gentle hand lifts your chin to meet Crosshairs intense eyes. He doesn’t say anything just looks over your face, his fingers ghosting over the bruise on your cheek a fury in his eyes. You back away looking down again, “I-It’s n-nothing...”
“Doesn’t look like nothing” he quips back.
You look up at him then cheeks burning, “did y-you n-n-need somet-thing C-Crosshair?”
“No” he replies.
You look at him confused but he doesn’t say anything. Crosshair’s not much of a talker and typically just stays with the boys so you were very confused why he was knocking on your door. You look around to make sure the other mechanics weren’t spying on you and sigh stepping aside to let him in. He hesitates but then enters your small room looking around before sitting on the edge of your bed. You slowly walk over to the bed, sitting by him with a large gap between the two of you.
He pulls a tube of bacta gel out of his pocket handing it to you, “here.”
“T-Thanks... wait,” you take the gel looking at him, “H-How did y-you k-know I n-needed this?”
He looks at you with a raised eyebrow, “why didn’t you fight back?”
You sigh the tears welling up in your eyes, of course he would be the one to see. You shake your head eyes squeezed shut trying to breathe, “I-I c-can't! It w-would m-m-make it w-worse!”
“Then get a transfer. Away from them, somewhere you’ll be safer i-”
“I-I d-don't want a t-t-transfer!” you panic.
He eyes you questioningly, “Why not?”
“B-Because I-I'll never s-s-see y-you!” you yell. Then realizing what you just said you gasp hiding your face in your hands panicking. It’s quiet for a minute and your sure Crosshair is coming up with some response to reject you, but when you peek out of your hands you see his smirk.
“And why would you wanna see me?”
You keep your hands over your face as you whisper, “b-because I... I l-like you...”
You hear his deep chuckle as he grabs your hands moving them from your face, “I know. You're not exactly subtle.” He leans forward faces inches away from each other, “but I’m not worth your safety.”
“Y-you are t-t-to me...”
His eyes widen for a second then he smiles a sultry smile, “Guess I’ll just have to make sure they don’t hurt whose mine then.”
Hope fills your eyes as you stare back at him, “Y-Yours?”
He grabs your chin slamming his lips onto yours. You groan into the kiss grabbing the back of his neck, pulling him even closer. He smiles and starts to trail kisses down your neck, “Mine.”
...
A week has gone by since that night with Crosshair, and today the boys were being deployed to Felucia. Your cheek had healed, and you’ve been happier than ever, confusing the girls who’ve been bullying you for months. The boys have been keeping their distance as per Crosshairs request, saying that he had a plan to handle the bullying. The girls were still bullying you, but nothing physical since the night of the slap and you’ve been ignoring them the best you can.
Everyone was gathered to watch the boys depart getting their last chances to flirt with them, and as you and R3 walked up they all turned and smiled, not seeing the death glares of the women they were talking to. You walked over ignoring the piercing stares of the other girls, standing in front of your friends, “H-How long th-this t-t-time?”
Tech types away on his data pad, “If all goes according to schedule we should be returning within 30 standard rotations.”
Echo and Hunter look behind you worriedly, “You gonna be okay while were gone?”
“Y-Yeah I’ll b-be o-o-okay,” you smiled warmly.
Crosshair who had been watching from the back walked over to you with a sly smile on his face making you blush. The boys watched confused as Crosshair grabbed you by the hips and kissed you roughly in front of the whole crowd, stunning everyone into silence.
You both pulled away smiling and Crosshair looked behind you wickedly, “She’ll be just fine, or you’ll be answering to me.” The girls all nodded in their shocked silence, “Good.”
The boys all give you a questioning look, but you smile and nod at them. One by one they all smile back and head onto the Marauder leaving just you and Crosshair. He runs a hand up your side and pulls you in for another kiss this one slower and more heated. When he pulls back, he whispers in your ear, “See you soon baby.”
And with a wink he heads onto the ship, you smile and wave as the ship takes off already waiting for his return.

Aligned With Her: A Guide to Cycle Syncing & Sacred Routine
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
message: hi, long time no see, I wanted to work on this post and release this for you guys. I’ve been channeling a lot of energy into building a foundation for myself and really fine tuning my habits, behaviors, and routines. I think as women we are constantly searching for lost secrets and paths back home to ourselves as we’ve spent generations under the weight of suppression and the world’s disconnection and rejection of the feminine energy. I made a post the other day about how a woman and girls job is to build a foundation for herself and focus on her reverence for her being and spirit. This post is apart of that and I take my role in sharing this information and helping one another understand ourselves very seriously. If you saw my other post I released not too long ago about stages of the menstrual cycle and divine feminine and masculines role/purpose during those times this post is in connection to that one and I will be linking it at the bottom of this post so that you can refer back to it. Thank you for reading! Happy cycle syncing!
****
why we cycle sync: cycle syncing is the practice of aligning your lifestyle (diet, exercise, work, social life, and self-care) with the four phases of your menstrual cycle. The ultimate goal is to support your body's natural hormonal fluctuations instead of fighting them and ultimately creating endless cycles of burnout and inactivity. It's important to recognize that the model of productivity that is commonly upheld is masculine in nature, it is linear not cyclical ad the feminine is. When we try to fit ourselves into that system that ignores natural changes we can experience burnout, shame, and disconnection from ourselves and our bodies. It is imperative that the woman reclaim her strength, her time, her intuition, and her right to move through life in tune with herself.

Perspective of an ex FA
Trigger warning - mention of disordered eating, depression.
Disclaimer- I do not endorse bullying or body shaming fat people. Bullies need to be shamed and don't deserve any place in the current society.
Coming to my story. I consider myself a feminist who also sways on the left side of the political spectrum. I was very skinny as a kid, but due to puberty-related changes, I gained quite a bit of weight but was still in the healthy range. I started to gain weight in 2019 when my final year of high school hit - due to the pressure of performing well in the exams. Stress made me gain weight and the sedentary lifestyle during 1.5 years of lockdown added to that.
During lockdown, I started being more online in feminist spaces, and while I greatly appreciate the work they do, I couldn't help but notice the growing wave of weight-related content. What was meant as a "Women don't owe you being skinny" or "People shouldn't get bullied for gaining weight"  morphed into a "Working out is fat phobic as it endorses skinniness" rhetoric. I fell for that, as a lot of my online friends and influencers peddled that rhetoric. Yes, nobody owes health to anyone but themselves.
I stopped exercising, ate my cravings away and led a very sedentary lifestyle. My anxiety and depression just added to it and soon I no longer felt happy. I felt unhealthy every time I ate greasy foods, I felt like I was hollow from within and that there were deeper issues that I failed to address and instead resorted to binge eating.
Soon the comments from concerned relatives and parents started to pour in and I fell into the victim mindset - I.e. it is their problem and that they have 'internalized fatphobia' thus I shouldn't take care of myself, and instead 'do what my body wants.' I started viewing everyone healthy as "fatphobes" who were missing out on food and it didn't help that the old therapist I had didn't recognize my binge eating (she was an old lady and not very "woke" either). For almost 3 years I believed that I was a victim of fat-phobic people who couldn't see me the way I am. I fully believed that I shouldn't work out or walk or play sports because "it confirms to the body standards."
What was a wake-up call for me was when I noticed that I was jealous of all the pretty girls masked as "they have internalized whatever." I saw girls who took care of themselves and worked out as "weapons of the system" even if they never said anything to me personally. I wanted to look like them but deep down I knew I wasn't willing to put in the effort. What hit me was when I asked myself "Girl, you're depressed. If you listened to your body - you would've jumped off the 13th floor" and that is when the rhetoric started to fall apart. I did courses in nutrition as a part of my curriculum and realized that - obesity is not healthy and that there is a difference between being curvy versus being obese.
I learned the scientific basis of why people with obesity are more prone to getting heart attacks, cancer, strokes and a ton of diseases. It wasn't just an "internet speech" but it had scientific evidence supporting it. It was a harsh wake-up call. Being healthy is not for aesthetics (which comes as a side benefit) but for longevity, for leading a fulfilled life. People don't work out because they want to look good (which is a perfectly valid reason btw) but because having a toned body means reduced unhealthy fats, and a healthy heart, and the body isn't going for an override. There was a saying that my teacher said "Our body works 24/7 for us, we can give it 1 hour of exercise back" and that struck. Once I read about the benefits of exercise for the body machinery, I realized how much misinformation is being peddled and how so many people are being lured into an unhealthy lifestyle in the name of destroying the status quo.
FA's have a modus operandi of cherry-picking scientific information or spreading pseudo-science to push their narrative. "Fat people have decreased risk of a particular type of cancer" while ignoring other types of cancers that you are at risk of if you're overweight. They will weaponize the struggles of people with legitimate hormonal issues into "If you can't lose weight it means you have hormonal issues" or my favorite "People who lose weight gain it back" without going into the reason why they gain it back. They present weight as something you cannot control whereas it is something largely in your control. They make you think that you have hormonal issues, even if that is not the case. The truth is even for people with hormonal issues or PCOS - it is difficult to lose weight, not impossible. It may take them more time to lose weight but they certainly do if they persevere. CICO has been working perfectly fine for me and in a matter of one month I have lost 4 kgs. (I am 5'3 and was 70 kgs - so not obese but overweight). They make you think if you track calories, you are encouraging ED, when in reality being on a severely restrictive diet of less than 1000 calories is ED. A healthy toned body is not the same as the anorexic bodies that were for some weird reason pushed as the beauty standard back in the 1990s.
I realized I no longer wanted to live in a state of self-pity and self victimization because I got concerned comments from people, or my favorite clothes no longer fit me. I no longer wanted to justify my feeling miserable by "owning the system." I wanted to feel like one of those girls and I am willing to put in the effort. I minimized eating out, did workout and strength training,  tracked my calories and if I felt like eating junk - I shared the portion with my mom or I ordered half a plate. Because I realized I was craving the taste and not the whole plate of it and a little bit of tasting it(within calorie limits) satisfied my cravings instead of gobbling down the whole plate and feeling miserable. So the moral of the story is - weight is in your control, weight loss can be fun and YOU DON'T OWE BEING HEALTHY TO ANYONE BUT YOUR BODY WHICH IS WORKING TIRELESSLY FOR YOU. Being healthy is being toned, having low body fat, having more than a BMI of 18 and less than 25 and having good stamina.

PCOS in Teenagers: Early Signs and Prevention Tips
Tumblr media
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome also known as PCOS is becoming increasingly common among teenage girls, yet it often goes undetected or misdiagnosed due to its broad range of symptoms. Detection of PCOS at an early stage is very important to control the disorder, especially in the case of adolescence when many bodily changes are taking place.
Dr. Monalisa Singh, one of the best gynecologists in Patna, comes across many young girls and families who suffer from unanswered queries regarding irregular periods,  sudden acne, and weight gain, often the first warning signs of PCOS.
In this blog, we’ll explore what PCOS is, what it is, how to identify it at an early stage by consulting a gynecologist in Patna, and how adolescents and their guardians actively manage and even prevent it.
What is PCOS?
A PCOS is the condition that occurs when the ovaries of a woman produce an abnormal quantity of male hormones (androgens). This causes irregular periods, acne, and excessive growing hair. This is one of the most common reasons for infertility and additionally, may lead to other health problems such as diabetes and heart problems.
Early Signs of PCOS in Teenagers
Early detection by a gynecologist in Patna of PCOS can significantly improve management strategies and reduce risks later on.
Look out for these common early signs:
Irregular or Missed Periods
One of the most common signs of PCOS is having irregular periods. A teenage girl with this condition might have less than eight periods each year, cycles that last longer than 35 days, or she might even stop menstruating altogether.
Severe Acne and Oily Skin
It is normal for teenagers to have acne, but if you're experiencing persistent or cystic acne that doesn't get better with usual solutions, it could be a cause for concern.
Excessive Hair Growth (Hirsutism)
Unwanted growth of hair on the face, chest, back, or abdomen in teens is due to higher levels of male hormones.
Weight Gain or Difficulty Losing Weight
Many girls with PCOS gain weight rapidly, particularly around the waistline, and may find it hard to lose it even with exercise and diet.
 Hair Thinning on the Scalp
This symptom resembles male-pattern baldness and is caused by the same hormone imbalance responsible for hirsutism.
 Skin Darkening
Acanthosis nigricans, or dark, velvety patches of skin, usually on the neck, armpits, or groin, may also be a sign of insulin resistance, which often accompanies PCOS.
If your teenager is showing two or more of these symptoms, a prompt visit to a gynecologist in Patna is recommended to conduct hormone tests, an ultrasound, and a comprehensive evaluation.
Causes and Risk Factors
The reason for PCOS is not clearly defined, however, its factors could be:
Genetics: The chance of getting PCOS increases if there is a prior history in the family.
Insulin Resistance: Women suffering from PCOS often have insulin resistance which leads to an increase in insulin level. This in turn leads to higher Male hormone (Androgen) secretion.
Inflammation: Body Inflammation can also lead to the symptoms of PCOS.
Prevention and Management Tips
While PCOS cannot always be prevented, certain active lifestyle changes as directed by a gynecologist in Patna can help manage and reduce the severity of symptoms:
1. Balanced Diet

I am for fat acceptance because the first time I learned I was obese was the appointment before kindergarten. I could not control my diet or activities until I got into high school. I am 5'3" and I've hovered around 260# for over a decade, with intermittent fasting and attempts at a keto diet. I am re learning how to hear my body's hunger and satiation signals, and actually eating more than I have since I was a child in elementary school, and I am, very slowly, losing weight and inches.
I lift 80 pound boxes every day, I do more squats than the troublemakers in athletics in high school. I am trying very hard to live less of a sedentary life. My weight loss goal is to be able to go up a couple flights of stairs without being winded. But I imagine I will still be fat after reaching that goal. My BMI is 45 right now.
I still need fat people to be accepted, and for doctors to understand that we've been dealing with this weight our entire lives. We know when something changes, when something is wrong. But. I've been unable to keep food down for weeks and the doctors were like, "what's your secret to losing weight?" Mother fucker, I am vomiting every time I eat. What's your secret to getting a position as a doctor if you're so dumb?
I've dealt with binge eating disorder from trying to lose weight in school. Starving yourself for days and then finally eating everything you wanted, and then throwing it up so you wouldn't process those calories. I was still fat.
The most popular girl in school would talk about taking laxatives and how she couldn't shit, but I got the advice to entirely stop eating and to stop even drinking water, to reduce weight. The girls were cruel because their lives were also cruel to them. The boys were cruel just because.
People stopped making fun of me once I handed out a couple bloody noses, and then everyone wanted to cheat off me in class after I ruined every grading curve in our classes.
But we need to accept fat people. If we're gonna accept smokers and anorexics and drug addicts, we can accept someone who can't exercise or freely control their diet. I'm lucky enough to have someone meal prep for me every week. It takes work to figure out what you need in nutrition, and then to plan meals, and then to shop for those ingredients, and then to prepare and cook those ingredients, and then partition them to containers. We need to accept people who don't have these resources. Yeah, I wish the 600# woman didn't get that way and didn't need an airlift to get out of her home.
Maybe we should bring back HomeEc and teach high schoolers how to actually live instead of how to pass tests, and we wouldn't have these epidemics of fast fashion and fast food obesity. I'm 32 without a full fledged driver's license. The generation before me had driver's Ed, but I did not.
The cooking and sewing and craft classes that I got were only because I was in the "Gifted and Talented" or the Spanish club. A HomeEc class was not part of the options of my class schedule.
But we need fat acceptance, because BMI doesn't tell you anything about a person other than their height and weight. In high school, I had the highest BMI of any of the girls, but my mile times were above most and I was THE most flexible and strong in the other tests. I was lifting 150 while classmates were adjusting to weighted bars.
What I'm saying is, be strong. Eat until you're full. Lift until you can't. Men will give their sexual attention to a mattress with a Ziploc bag. So be sure you can destroy them.
I like to look at Olympian women lifters, because they have the same body type that I do. Wide shoulders, wide gut protecting your insides as you work. And I feel a little better knowing we could survive a famine and start up farming as soon as that's over.

6/29/2024: Club Trang exercising dance compilation will be made to be released with me as my own agent and me doing my own mumbling singing as a fobby Vietnamese with hits in the 80's in Europe and elsewhere with easy melody to sing to and innocent beat to dance to to tame down Satan's control of America's beat and dancing in popular culture and clubbing, and Satan's control's of America's fashion to dress women nearly naked and men in girl's clothes. All this work while injecting political songs to end wars and destruction of the environment. No point dancing and singing and being happy while children in Gaza who makes up 30% of the population who didn't vote for the Hamas terrorists as their government are dying of Isreal's using dehydration and starvation as weapons of war against them while blowing up the ground with American freedom 2,000 lbs bombs trying to steal land and more land where the Palestinians have been living for the last 400 years. Americ and the West is nearly dead because it lacks innocent melody and even melody because of overdosed feminism and overdosed gayism who team up to fight against straight male dictatorship who turns to closet gay priests for religious guidance and allowing our gay boys to get raped by closet gay priests, and many more but I don't have time to explain right now. To sum it up, there's no heterosexual romance in america, this America. Lost its melody. Melody is the sound of romance between a man and a woman. In today's music in America, there's no melody for melody is God (Jesus' father), and nudity is Satan (that's why you see a lot of the West singers are nearly ake singing today because they have no melody to romanticize the opposite sex to succumb to give and take a bit and not take, take, take like in today's West culture. Off to work on my compilation and stop explaining for some humans don't understand explanation so I have to find other ways to spread my jesus' father's work while living as a hardcore heterosexual female Vietnam woman. Trang's work at 51.2 years . It's also Satan (closet gay inside) that beats women and tortured her in the male dictatorship that women are forced into feminism to fight back. The arts of that humans have to a balance of female and male for life and procreation in life and know you limit and boundaries; the West especially in America and in England don't know that starting with how fat women have become, how much they allow gay children.to express their gay sexual fantasies on stage while singing, how gay men lur heterosexual men to kiss in order to get to their female sisters, friends, etc. That's why the force evil hardcore heterosexual forces of God via of Russia (even though Putin is said to kiss a toddler's belly in public, that's gay!), Iran (although Muslims are known to practice having sex through the butt to save the vagina for marriage. That's gay!), Hamas and China (China is slowly turning gay too but their government does inject their view to reduce placing feminine males as heroes on TV's) are fighting back with the West gay force including Isreal (has gay flags in their unofficial country) and Ukraine (put a trans American female as spoke person for the Ukrainian army) to maintain the balance between male and female force. Freedom sounds great as an idea for people like me to come our as the father of Jesus while living as a female in a society controlled by Jesus whose people dare to say Jesus is God when the Bible clearly stated the Jesus is only God's son--typical greedy and blind humans. However, freedom for mass is impossible for the mass don't have the human's ability to control their desires, eating habits, etc. so that's why you like a lost of the West are full of fat people, men turning gay when they are bored, women turning gay when they are bored, people in overpaying drugs because they control their greediness for heaven in a pill, children cutting off their genitals in the West for fun, and females like me killing babies by using abortion as a birth control at 4 month stage of abortion, etc.

My headcanons for the batfamily’s body types, in no particular order;
Jason - Big. Tall, broad, insanely big muscles hidden under a healthy layer of fat. No particular part of him is more defined, or even particularly defined at all, he’s just Big with a capital b. Absolute powerhouse, the definition of a bear.
Dick - He’s got the gymnast’s build. Probably the most “cut” of the family he’s got the trim waist and extremely defined shoulders you’d find on any high level gymnast/acrobat. Tons of muscle definition even when he’s relaxed but especially when he flexes. Most of his muscle mass is up in his shoulders, seeing him work those back shoulder muscles is a work of art. And of course, you can’t forget that iconic ass ;)
Tim - Honestly, Tim Drake is the kinda guy who looks like a stiff breeze could knock him over. Super pale and insanely skinny with very little definition. Stick thin limbs that pack a surprising punch. He’s got wiry muscles built for speed and endurance over brute strength
Damian - Best word I can think to describe Damian would be “lithe”. He’s small, still a kid and with some of that childlike roundness to his features. He’s a vegetarian which greatly reduces his potential sources of protein, so he’s definitely more on the lean side, at least for now. He may grow into a build more like Bruce’s as he ages but for now he’s short and fairly skinny.
Bruce - Think of a famous actor you’d see posing on a magazine. That’s him. Dorito figure, six pack abs, muscle definition out the ass. He’s the fucking Batman, and has an absolutely insane workout routine to boot. Super tall with the widest shoulders imaginable, but still capable of making himself soft when comforting kids (his own or other people’s).
Cass - Typical ballerina build. Super petite with a surprising amount of strength hidden behind soft slender limbs. Short with a tiny waist and no hips or chest to speak of, she’s silk over steel with an insane of muscle control she uses to make herself as soft and pretty as possible. 100% capable of knocking a man out with one punch, though you’d never know it by looking at her otherwise.
Barbara - First off, my version of Barbara is still in a wheelchair, though she definitely didn’t let that stop her from working out. She may be the girl in the chair both literally and metaphorically, but she still likes to make sure she’s fully capable of defending herself if necessary. Iirc her specific flavor of wheelchair bound is paralysis, so her legs would be fairly small with very little definition, even if she does all she can to exercise those muscles and keep them from atrophying, considering. That being said she has arm muscles for days, super strong both from working out and just using her arms to propel herself and to transfer in and out of her wheelchair. 100% capable of doing a weird little army crawl using just her arm muscles to get around in an emergency if something were to happen to her chair.
Steph - Definitely the squishiest of the girls, though considering they’re all vigilantes that doesn’t necessarily mean much. She seems like the type to have curves, and not work towards having any specific kind of figure. Think a bit of a stocky pear kind of shape. She’s definitely got some muscle definition, but not nearly as much as she could she focuses more on actually being strong than just looking it. A bit on the short side, but not overly so.
Duke: I… honestly know the least about Duke out of the whole batfamily, so he’s definitely the least defined in my head. From what I’ve got, he’s probably more than a bit lanky. I picture him being super tall but not having the body mass of Jason, Bruce, or even Dick to go with that height. Decently strong but more speed oriented, with more of a basketball player build.

This is top quality shit man
Favourite part: sparkly boots!!!
Least favourite part: kill me the necklaces are back
Cute hairnet tho we love some safety!
Francesca
First braids! Whoop whoop! However some of the beads are not attached to her braids lmao
I want the hair to be a darker brown colour as well tbh
Necklace ew murder murder death death death
Shoes don’t match her outfit and it HURTS
Apart from that the outfit is basic but cute (crop makes it cute)
Pulls off the knee-high footie socks surprisingly well
Tumblr media
HEADCANONS:
Dynamic attacker (not defender thank you very much), she kisses her girlfriend on the field, and she plays for brazil
Tumblr media
Zoe
YESSSSSSS THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL DYNAMIC
Why is her left skate so fat has she broken + taped her ankle? This is canon now that she has, bitch has broken EVERY bone possible
The fingerless gloves are INCREDIBLE
I’m glad about the lack of elbow guards because they would reduce the pointiness of her elbows which are the single most effective murder weapon in fairyland
I love the stars! It’s so 80s and cheesy and I love them!
Why is her necklace a roller skate wheel though (rolls eyes)
Dyed hair?? A queen
A great red
She dyed it to match her skates!
COMMITTED TO HER SPORT also she has a trophy wall plus she roller-derby-murders women in her spare time and she’s happy about it
HEADCANONS:
Naomi - there is no netball in the united states (there is no war in ba sing se)
Can’t believe that this girl has bunches, ribbons AND a headband!!! It’s overkill imo
The necklace is a decent size but AS PER FUCKIN USUAL would be better if not there
Trainers are cute
It’s a netball outfit! At least it’s cuter than my high school netball outfits, but that’s because it’s a middle-class-ass netball outfit but I do like the peppiness
Strong use of colour! Thumbs up!
Tumblr media
Trans girl that secretly wants to be a horse girl (gasp but like fair enough horses are objectively cooler than netball, even though she plays for the school team)
Hey you definitely Do Not Remember Bethany the Ballet Fairy’s chin shape but Naomi has the same one which means SHE IS BETHANY’S LITTLE SISTER
HEADCANONS:
Samantha (swimming)
The grey streaks are perplexing cos surely she’s not Old but honestly she is kinda rocking it, I love the hair but you Know it’s full of salt at all times
The use of goggles as a headband is decently cute!
Why does it have to be a two-piece if it’s going to cover the same amount of torso as a one-piece? I guess it makes going to the loo easy tho tbf
Very 2000s design omg
Fucking skirt could be cute but you can tell it feels so horribly artifical
Anklet is cute!
Barefoot QUEEN in tune with nature
Mum friend - she is the sunscreen queen, she has an straw beach bag entirely full of snacks, and she is so nice and chill
She is not a professional swimmer AT ALL, she just goes to the swimming pool at the resort every year
Possibly the only straight fairy (experimented once with a girl but mainly likes men)
She knows breaststroke and doggy paddle and she thinks doggy paddle is a stroke
Everyone else is super fucking stressed out at the pool doing like actual lengths and exercise and Samantha is like do you want to come and do backflips with me in the deep end?
Tumblr media
HEADCANONS:
Alice
The swirls are so cute! She definitely embroidered them herself
I want it to be a dress with a slightly higher waistline instead of a top with an overly long torso
Great job on a matching tennis racket that goes with your accessories - she painted it, DIY queen
Hair is BEAUTIFUL
Shoes are from the year 3000 omg so modernnnnn
The lil visor thing! Adorable! SO iconic
Alice is Naomi’s twin sister and Bethany’s younger sister, and she’s a massive girly girl. She’s the youngest child in the family, there’s not much pressure on her so she’s a chill kid. She’s cis and she’s a massive ally. Alice is absolutely the most likely out of everyone to go to the swimming pool with Samantha - Bethany never comes with her but 50% of the time Alice can get Naomi to come and hang out at the pool
Tumblr media
Gemma
RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS REPRESENTATION BABEY with the HOOPS and the RIBBON hell YEAH she definitely competes internationally
Outfit is bloody beautiful and it MATCHES HER HOOP
The yellow leggings are stupid but I like them
Her hair is in competition mode rn it is a good SOLID bun - the ribbon is for aesthetic only
Colour scheme showing support for Ukraine
Necklace is NOT gymnastics worthy full stop

My Body and Me; a Love Story.
There was a time when I thought I would never write this post. The battle against my body seemed to be the one mountain I would never climb. I would go around in circles, coming up against the same obstacles; bingeing, emotional eating, restrictive dieting and hating what I saw when I looked in the mirror. I honestly thought it was something I would struggle with for the rest of my life. I think every woman knows this journey, some have walked the path before, others are waiting to begin - each of us up against years of conditioning, programming and subconscious messaging designed to keep us small (literally). This is the story of how I took my power back, went from self loathing to self love and healed my relationship with food and my body.
It’s Australia Day, 2008. My sister and I are riding our bikes around the small town we grew up in, jumping in and out of the crystal clear water wherever we can find the space. The path along the creek is teeming with families and kids our age walking around drinking UDL’s and cans of Smirnoff. Despite already being self conscious about my fifteen year old body, I’m feeling particularly brave wearing just a pair of shorts and my bikini top.
As we climb out of the water and mount our bikes to head home, a guy a few years older than me walks passed with his girlfriend. He looks me up and down and slurs, “Yeah, keep riding,” with a smirk on his face. His girlfriend slaps him playfully, looking back over her shoulder to mouth an apology, but it’s too late. My stomach drops, my world crumbles. Everything I ever feared about myself is true. I'm not attractive, I'm not desirable, I’m not worthy and I’m not enough.
I scroll pro-ana blogs and experiment to see how long I can go without food. I practice putting two fingers down my throat, trying to dredge up the shame I swallowed with that second chocolate brownie. I lament to my mother about the size and softness of my stomach, she shows me which ab exercises reduce belly fat.
My breasts grow almost overnight and suddenly I’m the subject of gossip and the butt of jokes. Relatives and strangers comment on my changing shape, as though my body is public domain to be deliberated. I learn that my body is not my own. I walk into the kitchen after dinner out with friends, “You can’t possibly still be hungry.” I learn that my bodies signals can’t be trusted.
I hold myself up against billboards and pictures on the internet and they all tell me one thing; shrink. Shrink and you will be beautiful, and before anything else, beautiful is what you should aspire to be. I stand in front of the mirror and pinch, suck, poke and prod. I squeeze a tape measure around every inch of skin, using the numbers to define how much I’m worth that week. I hide in the pantry, looking for something to fill me. My mind blanks as I reach for packets and jars, a brief reprieve before the guilt kicks in and I berate myself ceaselessly for a lack of self control.
I’m desperate to be noticed. I crave being seen. I take photos on my phone and send them to boys. When I’m drowning in a sea of insecurity, their shallow compliments keep me afloat.
I grew up believing that “big” was the worst thing a person could be. Worse than being mean, selfish or boring, it was the ultimate failure. The subconscious messaging I received was that being skinny was synonymous with being happy. That having the perfect body somehow made you immune to sadness or other negative emotions. Like, how bad could things possibly get if you looked amazing in a bikini? If you were thin then people paid attention to you; boys wanted to be with you and other girls wanted to be like you. To be thin, was to be beautiful - and to be beautiful was to be adored, cherished, loved. Life was an endless exodus away from fatness and toward thinness.
You can imagine the war that started internally when my e-cup boobs came in overnight. Dance costumes had to be altered, bras and bikinis had to be special ordered and I was constantly asking for a bigger size in change rooms. The changes in my body sparked a downward spiral in my self esteem. In my mind, with every kilo I gained I was becoming less important; my ideas less valid, personality less loveable and my dreams less achievable.
By the time I was sixteen, my body was a tool I used to validate my dwindling sense of self worth. I used it when it suited me, to get attention and validation from guys. The more I was willing to show of it and the more I was willing to do with it, the more approval I got. It made me feel powerful. I traded recognition for respect and mistook attention for love. The rest of the time I either berated it with criticism or ignored it completely.
For most of my teens and early twenties, I felt like a floating head walking around completely disconnected from my body. I didn’t identify as my body, it felt like an annoying attachment that kept betraying me by not doing what I wanted it to do or looking the way I wanted it to look. I hated how easily I could be brought down or carried away by the emotions that arose inside me; a wave of insecurity that would leave me hiding under the covers for days, a flash of anger that always left a wake of destruction in its path. It was too risky and far too painful living in my body, so I checked out. For almost a decade, I didn’t look down in the shower and I couldn’t touch my stomach without a wave of nausea flooding through me. I dreaded walking past mirrors or shop fronts and I used to yell at my mum for taking photos of me when I wasn’t looking.
By the time I left home at eighteen, it became apparent that in addition to my negative body image, I had also developed a pretty damaging relationship with food. Food was my anchor and my security blanket. When everything else in my life was uncertain, I could always count on the jar of peanut butter in the fridge. I would use food to suppress negative emotions; discomfort, anxiety, boredom. Even positive emotions - excitement, joy, happiness - were always accompanied by something to eat. It was as though I couldn’t bare to feel anything fully, so I sought a way to dull the experience.
I would spend hours researching different diets and exercise programs, getting confused and overwhelmed by the mass of conflicting information. Was yoghurt good for me, or bad? Should I be eating carbs with every meal or cut them out altogether? Should I be vegetarian, vegan, paleo or #sugarfree? Is running 5k’s burning fat or telling my body to hold on? I would walk around the grocery store with tears in my eyes, totally overwhelmed by all the choices and torn between what I wanted so desperately and what I thought I should be eating.
“Compulsive eating is basically a refusal to be fully alive. No matter what we weigh, those of us who are compulsive eaters have anorexia of the soul. We refuse to take in what sustains us. We live lives of deprivation, and when we can't stand it any longer, we binge.”
- Geneen Roth, Women, Food and God
Before I even knew what it was, bingeing was a regular part of my life. If had a bad day, a fight with my parents or an assignment due, bingeing offered an incredibly effective distraction. There was no thought or awareness, I would stand at the fridge and put whatever was on the shelf into my mouth. Because I refused to have anything unhealthy in the house, bingeing usually meant raiding my housemates cupboards for whatever had the highest sugar or fat content; four slices of toast with tablespoons of honey, two wraps, half a packet of biscuits and coconut oil straight from the jar. It wasn’t until after I had consumed the entire contents of my kitchen that the guilt kicked in. I felt totally helpless and completely out of control.
The promise of a diet is not only that you will have a different body; it is that in having a different body, you will have a different life.
In 2013, I lost nine kilos leading up to my twenty first birthday. I was eating broccoli with chicken or tinned tuna for every almost meal and smashing myself in the gym 5-7 times a week. Everything in my life revolved around getting the numbers on the scale to drop. I kept a food diary on my phone and wrote down everything that passed my lips and at the end of the day I’d give myself a rating based on how ‘well’ I’d done. A smiley face meant it was a good day, an angry face meant I better try harder tomorrow.
I would measure and weigh myself in the morning and my mood for the entire day, and how I treated myself, depended on what I saw on the scale. I was obsessed with #fitspo blogs and instagram accounts and would spend hours drooling over photos of girls lifting weights or posing effortlessly in bikinis. I would deprive myself all week and have a ‘cheat day’ on the week end, which usually meant buying a block of chocolate on the way home from the gym and making myself sick by finishing off the whole thing in one sitting. A few weeks before my birthday I started taking OxyElite and would happily pop four a day - made me shake and pee constantly - completely ignoring the liver failure warning on the label.
But even when I was at my skinniest, my anxiety didn’t fade and I wasn’t any happier. I still had bad days and moments when I felt unworthy and insecure, and I was so preoccupied maintaining my new weight, I didn’t have time to focus on anything else or enjoy my life. As soon as my birthday was over and I didn’t have a goal to work towards, the weight came back and the battle raged on.
As I watched women my mums age berate themselves for eating an extra slice of cake, apologise for taking up too much space and obsess over their physical ‘flaws’, I started to think maybe this was just part of life as a woman. I hated the idea of passing my insecurities on to my future daughter, but I couldn’t see a way to break the cycle.
So I started working with coaches, and read and listened to every intuitive eating, eating psychology and body positive book, blog post and podcast I could get my hands on. There wasn’t one pivotal moment, but a series of small but deeply significant revelations that helped me improve my relationship with food and lead me back to my physical body…
1. I got angry.
When I discovered the extent to which mainstream media tries to keep us small - literally - as a form of disempowerment, I got angry. By making thinness the ideal and celebrating women who shrink, we get the message that we are not allowed to take up space, a subconscious belief that ingrains itself in our collective psyche. It’s the same belief that stops us from speaking up when we are being taken advantage of, it stops us demanding more from partners who mistreat us, and it stops us creating epic shit and sharing our unique gifts with the world.
As I continued pulling back the veil to expose the corporate agenda behind our BS beauty standards, it got easier to rally against my own inner critic because I knew they were both just trying to stop me wielding the full force of my power as a conscious woman. A woman confident in her own skin is no longer an obedient consumer, she no longer drains her time, energy and resources trying to “fix herself”. She shows up fully as her authentic self. She is a force to be reckoned with.
2. I focused on my strengths.
That insta-famous bikini model posting photos of herself looking toned and tanned in various exotic locations? Yes, she could have done a lot of editing/had surgery/spend thousands on a celebrity trainer, but you know what? Some girls really look like that - and that’s amazing! Go them! You have your own set of unique gifts and God-given talents that are exactly what you need to enact your purpose on this earth, and they might not have anything to do with how you look. Say it with me now, “I was not born to be an instagram model.” (Unless you were, then carry on your merry way). Being trapped in jealousy or comparison usually means we aren’t fully embracing our Genius. Ask yourself, ‘What am I really good at? What do I LOVE?’ then go do that.
BODY IMAGE CHALLENGE: Take a look at the people you follow on social media. Do they make you feel more confident, or less? If you feel ‘icky’ every time you scroll through instagram, it might be time to do a social media cleanse and get rid of any accounts that don’t inspire you to feel good about yourself.
3. I shifted my perspective from the external to the internal.
My journey this year has been letting go of the belief that people will only listen to what I have to say if they like the package it comes in. As women, we are taught from such a young age that beauty equals success, and for so long I was hung up on this idea that in order for my thoughts, opinions or ideas to be taken seriously, I would need to measure up to societies standards of beauty. That belief kept me from showing up fully in my business and in my life. Bullshit!
How many of us are held back from the work we are meant to do and the joy we are meant to experience because of our obsession with living up to someone else’s idea of beauty? How many of us delay happiness and postpone joy, waiting until after we’ve lost the weight or dropped a dress size, to be active participants in sucking the marrow out of our lives?
These days, I’m focusing less on impressing people with my looks and more on empowering them with my energy. I realised I would so much rather invest my time cultivating compassion, sharpening my intellect and developing the kind of inner radiance that inspires people than forcing my body to take on a shape that isn’t natural for me.
I get that some people absolutely love pushing their body to see how far it can go, but when I think about how much effort it took to maintain my ‘goal weight’, I can honestly say - for me, and my standards - it’s just not worth it. As with anything in life, you have to ask yourself, do you want it because that’s the experience your Soul is longing to have, or because everyone tells you that’s what you should want? Is it your dream or someone else’s?
BODY IMAGE CHALLENGE: Start a creative project that you can work on in your spare time. It could be a collection of short stories, a sketch pad full of drawings or a line of your own handmade clutches. Passion projects are good for the soul and you never know where they might lead ;)
4. I let go of my obsession with losing weight.
After nearly a decade of trying to get smaller, the thought of giving up scared the shit out of me. I clung to diets because they gave me a purpose, losing weight made me feel accomplished. It was easier to write a meal plan than it was to map out a plan for my future. And it was easier trying to change my body than it was to change the world.
I also thought that if I wasn’t following a strict eating and exercise ‘plan’, I would completely lose control and binge until I was the size of a house. And for a while, I did go a little crazy. I had to rebuild the trust between me and my body. I needed to prove that I was sticking to my word this time and I wasn’t going to deprive it any more.
But when I stopped labelling foods as ‘good’ and ‘bad’ and started giving myself unconditional permission to eat whatever I wanted, eating an entire block of chocolate lost its appeal. I could have it, so I didn’t want it. If I did end up over eating, I quickly forgave myself and moved on. No judgement, criticism or shame, just unconditional acceptance. I quickly learnt that most of the time I didn’t actually want the chocolate, I wanted the way it made me feel; worthy, deserving, full.
Instead of using food to suppress my emotions, I wanted to tap into my bodies natural wisdom. I started by opening up the lines of communication. I wrote her letters in my journal, apologising for all the times I had ignored her, made her sick and used her to satisfy my ego desires. I promised to take care of her, trust her and always ask her what she needed. I spoke to her like I would my best friend or little sister. Much to my delight, she started talking back.
I’m sorry.
I know.
I love you.
I love you too.
Today, my relationship with my body feels like rekindling a romance with a long lost lover; we’re both still marvelling at all the things we can do together, getting excited about what this means for our future and falling more in love with each other every day. Like any great relationship, ours is based on trust, communication and mutual respect. I speak kind words to my body, I don’t make her do things she doesn’t want to do, and I trust that she knows what she needs in any given moment. Sometimes that means making a big fat pasta dish, sometimes it means stopping when there’s still food left on the plate. I still apologise if I drink too much wine and wake up with a hangover. She forgives me and we go and do something to make us feel amazing again.
Exercise doesn’t feel like a chore, it’s a way to expend all the beautiful energy that runs through my body. I don’t slog it out at the gym to burn calories or punish myself for overeating, I move in ways that feel good. Lifting weights makes me feel powerful, dancing makes me feel sexy as hell. My body is an incredible vehicle I have been given to fully engage in this earthly experience, and I love it regardless of its shape or size.
I know this is an ongoing process - as my body changes, I will need to continue practicing self love and some times are going to be harder than others, but never again will I let insecurity hold me back (for too long).
The beauty standards set by society will continue to change, but I reserve the right to decide what’s beautiful to me, and my definition of beauty is all encompassing - there is room for everyone. I am so excited to see - in our lifetime - a generation of women liberated from the shackles of self loathing, free to share their unique gifts with the world and I am so grateful for the women before me who have publicly embraced their bodies at every size.
Wherever you are on the journey, may these words guide your way home.
Do not be afraid to take up space. Consciously expand until your presence rivals galaxies. Should your body say anything about Who You Are, let it say nothing of willpower or self-control, let it tell the story of your curiosity, your bravery, your compassion. Should you seek to be less of anything, may you be less worried about making yourself look acceptable.
May the only picture of your progress be the feeling of expansion in your Spirit. When you go looking for validation or your sense of Self, may you go only to the Source of all Love that lives inside of you.
May you appreciate your body as the temporary home your soul chose to inhabit. May you honor her sovereignty and listen to her wisdom. May you praise her in public and pleasure her in private.
When you look at your body may you see our mother earth incarnate; in every crevice and fault line, in the veins that run like rivers, in all the mountains and valleys that ripple across your skin.
And when the time comes for you to leave, may it be with gratitude as the veil is lifted and the joy of returning to the infinite oneness from which you came... can no longer be contained.

La Méprise (part three)
Spencer Reid x fem!Reader
Summary: You start history with Spencer Reid in your university auditorium.
Warnings: violence, fight, reminding of trauma, season 13 spoilers, prof!Spencer, student!Reader, suggestive.
❁❁❁❁❁❁
Like clockwork, Spencer had turned around faster than you realized no one was following your steps next to you. Your heart dropped more than it already had as you understood that there was something, some nick, that you had failed to catch. But maybe you were the lost one here?
It seemed like Spencer had no doubts about his forthcoming actions – you watched him take quick, aggressive strides towards Mike. Seconds later, his tensed fist made contact with Mike's face. Spencer's act made you jump. Your usual first instinct would have been to yell, to interfere. But this time you didn't.
Right after the action, Mike was angrily pushed against the wall.
"You should stop talking," Spencer mumbled, angrily shoving him at the wall for the second time, pulling the man by his bunched-up jacket. Mike let out a pained groan and scoffed, later inhaling a deep breath of air. "Okay," he spat out. "Okay. Man."
"If you ever even look at me again," Spencer spoke, a harsher than usual undertone in his voice. However, soon after, he just went silent, staring at Mike for a few more moments before releasing him from his grip. You breathed out, shoulders dropping. You felt tiredness wash over you, obvious from all the stupidly scary events that had just happened.
After seeing Spencer turn back around and start walking towards you, you nodded and turned away from the sight of Mike silently chuckling and wiping his bloody nose. You opened the door. The fresh breeze of the outside air lifted your mood and you took a wide step outside.
"Can you still walk with me?" your voice reached both of yours' ears after you closed the door. "Oh, yeah. I'll join the team later," he replied, glancing in your direction. You both went quiet, still walking, Spencer seemingly following your lead of way. "Thank you," you suddenly muttered, placing your hands into your jacket pockets.
"Hm?" Spencer replied to your unexpected gratitude. You let out a small sigh, looking down at your synced-up footsteps. "Thank you for doing that. I would've punched the bitch myself, but, you know," you softly spoke. He smiled. "I'm not...usually a puncher," he weakly mumbled, shoving his hands into his pant pockets.
"I could've guessed," you joked, instantly frowning on yourself. "It's, not like you, you know, look like you wouldn't be able to, uh, punch someone, I was just—,"
"Joking. Yeah. To be fair, I agree," Spencer finished for you, making your shoulders drop in relief. You both let out chuckles. Continuing to walk down the asphalt path, you looked around the university campus. "Yeah, I usually take the bus to university. Quicker that way. I don't have the ability, nor want to sprint here at 8 a.m. Though, I enjoy a walk sometimes," you craned your neck to his side, sharing a random daily life thought. He nodded, straightening his shoulders.
"That is very true, actually, did you know that walks are extremely good for your well-being? Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. It can also reduce your risk of developing conditions such as, uh, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers. Unlike some other forms of exercise, walking is, you know, free and doesn't require any special equipment or training," he finished talking, glancing at you brightly. You raised your eyebrows in shock and cheered.
"Wow! Spencer—,' you stopped, realizing your lack of knowledge about his last name. "Reid," he mumbled back, continuing to walk. "—Spencer Reid, the fact machine! Hey, buddy, does that head ever get too heavy for you?" you laughed out, crossing your arms and raising your head. "Hey," he mocked your tone, "That, is downright mean," he raised his voice playfully, his eyebrows furrowing.
You both bickered as you rounded the corner. And, you continued talking while walking down the lonely road. And while you pointed out the apartment building you were staying at.
And when you both said goodbyes after he had led you to the building door, a creeping feeling of awe kept trying to make you fall – to slip down the very stairs you built.
Five days later
Thursday.
"Spencer?"
Three mornings. After the boringly passed weekend, you had spent the last three mornings walking into the auditorium and longingly glancing at the seats – hoping to see the familiar curly-haired persona. But you never did, as each time you looked up, the seat was empty. Had you scared him off? Or maybe he thought you were weird? Many questions swarmed your mind constantly, and, well, there was really no hope of distracting it. Because the only person who could, wasn't showing up.
On the blessed fourth day, you walked into campus, sipping your new-bought iced latte with caramel, dressed in dashing black baggy jeans and 90's-esque top with a bunch of shiny silver jewelry all over your neck and hands, not expecting anything to be different. Because you got it, you understood – obviously he had a job to do, a terrifyingly important one, at that, and going to these lectures and meeting you was just a side mission – a pastime.
However, as you were making your way to the door, you noticed him – Spencer, standing near the entrance.
"Spencer? Hey, you're back," you exclaimed, quickly swallowing your sip of coffee and smiling. He returned the smile, nodding. "I am, uh, I had a bunch of cases, so, didn't really have time," he spoke, joining your stride to the door. "No, it's all good, Spence. I get it. Your job is extremely important, and I definitely don't expect you to, you know, always be here." Seconds later, you mentally cursed at yourself after realizing your accidental use of a nickname instead of his full name. "Shit—, sorry, I called you Spence," you pointed out quietly, glancing at him to watch his reaction. He, however, gave none.
"It's okay—you know, this teammate of mine, JJ, she's my best friend—, she also calls me Spence, so, yeah, you can, if you want," he mumbled out, a smile playing on his lips. "Wow, didn't know you had a girl best friend! I bet she's super cool," your voice rose in slight excitement.
You realized that you both had stopped walking.
"She is," Spencer replied wholeheartedly, smiling. His eyes then dropped down to your outfit. "You look pretty today, by the way," he pointed out, seconds later turning back to face the entrance and beginning to walk forward. Your mouth hung open in slight shock and it took you a good second to catch your expression, shake your head and speed walk towards Spencer.
He complimented you.
"Thank you," you mumbled after catching up to him, flashing him a grateful smile. He nodded. "You know, there's something I want to tell you," he suddenly spoke up, his lowered tone making your heart drop for no other reason than worry. "What is it?" you instantly asked, grasping the handle of your bag.
"Oh," Spencer lightly laughed, glancing at your direction. "It's nothing bad, I promise. I mean—I'll just tell you. I'll be in temporary teaching at this university," he mumbled. You raised your eyebrows, aiming your gaze at the ground. "Really? That's cool," you answered, smiling through your words. "So, you'll be my professor?" you blurted out a thought, regretting it a moment later.
"Yeah," Spencer chuckled back, looking at you. "Guess I will."
Butterflies suddenly erupted in your stomach, and your expression changed as you realized that. Shut up, you softies. You had no idea why you felt so warm out of the sudden, as all you did was think about Spencer being your professor.
Spencer being your professor? Did you have some weird professor and student fantasy?
You subconsciously shook your head and continued walking in silence alongside Spencer, deep in thought. However, a moment later your inner mind light bulb lit up and you lifted your head up, straightening your posture. "Wait, what trained FBI team member takes up temporary teaching for some inexperienced students?" you asked, shooting him a quick look. You saw him tense up, visibly sighing. He looked at you and weakly smiled.
"I really wished you hadn't asked me that," he muttered and you frowned. "Oh—I'm sorry, I didn't—,"
"It's okay. You have the right to know. I've—uh, I've been to prison. Falsely accused," he began, nervously correcting himself after noticing your intense stare. The both of you blinked in shock – you because of Spencer's sudden confession, him – probably because of the same thing.
"Of what?" you asked carefully. Spencer swallowed. "Multiple drug possession. Suspicion of drug distribution. Murder of Nadie Ramos," he muttered quietly. You felt your eyebrows furrow, mind running through all possibilities. "Oh."
"I was framed. But I still spent almost three months there. It was, uh, bad," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I'm sorry," you replied, feeling at a loss of appropriate words. Spencer quickly shook his head, smiling. "You don't have to be. That's why I'm teaching. I was recommended to do it. It's like a...break, I guess."
You returned his smile, looking back at the ground. "You start today?"
"Yeah."
You began walking through the corridors, making your way to the auditorium. "I bet you'll make a great professor," you quietly exclaimed, watching his somewhat anxious expression shift into a softer one. He chuckled. "Thank you. I hope I'll live up to your expectations." "You will," you muttered almost instantly, voice higher. Once again, seconds later regretting even opening your mouth. Spencer laughed again. Walking through, Spencer pushed the already open door further, stopping so you'd walk first. You thankfully nodded back to him and smiled. "Go sit," he suddenly mumbled behind you and you felt him place his warm hand on your bare lower back, softly pushing you towards the seats.
You inhaled harshly, barely containing the need to arch beneath his hand, and quickly nodded, hurrying to the stairs. Spencer visibly grinned behind you.
Hopelessly ignoring your previous spot, you hurried to the second aisle, quietly hoping that the seat you chose wasn't taken. After all, you were fully ready to support Spencer on his new-found teaching, you obviously knew him more than the other students.
"Hello, uh, my name is Spencer Reid," he started, voice raising on his last name. The others quickly settled down, slightly interested in their new professor. He was easy on the eyes. You grinned to yourself, still gazing at him. Apparently, Spencer did indeed feel your stare at him, so he looked back, a smile beginning to play on his lips as he breathed in. Moments after, he began going on about a whole cluster of themes and subjects he had decided to teach you all. You failed to take your eyes of him.
<>
"Yes! So, this'll be it for today, don't forget to buy or get that book from somewhere else because it shares extremely good opinions and is very important for your understanding of what we're going through! And have a great day!" Spencer raised his voice to express his last thoughts to majority of the students who were already getting up from their seats and heading towards the exit door. You stayed, a wide smile on your lips as you noticed him glance at the leaving students with brighter than usual eyes. You stood up, fetching your bag and dropping it on your seat. You slowly walked towards Spencer, him finally looking back at you.
"See, you were great, Professor Reid," you jokingly exclaimed, seeing him laugh while packing his belongings behind the desk. "Thank you, Y/N, guess I am pretty great at teaching. I just, I don't know, felt as if you were all so interested in what I was speaking about, so, yeah, that was pretty great," he expressed, running his hand through his fluffy hair.
Your eyes subconsciously traced his hand, cheeks somewhat heating up, and you smiled. "Yeah, we were all pretty into your teaching. It's cool, your way of talking, I mean. But I think that wasn't the only reason why they were so immersed in you," you spoke, not realizing your accidental change of view. You both chuckled, Spencer seemingly deepening his gaze at you. "I wonder what that is," he teasingly replied, leaning down to get his case full of books and teaching material, however not turning his eyes away from yours.
You broke the eye contact, deciding that the conversation was way  too teasing for your liking, and laughed quietly to yourself.
Oh, shut up, Ms. I-might-have-a-professor-kink, I know you'd love for this mood to go on for the rest of your pitiful life.
"I wonder, too," you mumbled, feeling warmer. Spencer returned a light scoff. "Well, you seemed to know it when you first brought up the fact, so, tell me. I'm clueless, Y/N," he replied again with a tiny bit of a smooth velvet tone in his voice and your heart almost dropped in fear of his words. Why was he so confident? "Well, I think we're both kinda', you know, aware?" you hesitated, looking back at Spencer. His tongue darted out of his mouth, wetting his lips and he stood back, sliding his chair under the desk.
"Are we? Am I?"
You swallowed, trying to regain your usual snarky mood, while also moving back to your seat and snatching your bag from it. "I think so, yes," you exclaimed, sighing and joining his stride to the door. You both walked beside each other, Spencer sheepishly smiling and looking straight ahead. He didn't say a word until you reached the door.
"Well, why don't you think about that like a good student and tell me tomorrow, hm?" Spencer suddenly spoke up, making you freeze in your step. You widened your eyes at his words and looked up at him. His eyes were shimmering. You both stopped walking and you nodded, feeling awfully hot at his title for you. He smiled and unexpectedly raised his hand, leaning in closer and brushing a strand of hair out of your face, pushing it behind your ear. You continued to stare at him, wide-eyed, and he seemed to enjoy your confusion.
"Goodbye, Y/N," he muttered and lowered his hand near his side, opening the door and closing it behind him. You began feeling weak, reaching behind blindly in search of the wall. After you had found it, you leaned against it, trying to regain your breathing.
What just happened and why did you like it?

ok, so i have had a sacroiliac joint syndrome since a little over a year now and i got it last summer when i was working out at home and did a push-up (until that point i had only done the beginner push ups with knees on the ground). like, immediately i knew that i had put too much weight on my lower back and something got in the wrong position. worst pain i’ve ever had for a couple of days. anyway i went and got physiotherapy prescribed which, except for helping me with my posture, did nothing since the exercises i was learning just hurt because the main problem, my sacroiliac joint being fucked up (feeling kind of displaced and a big nerve being clamped) wasn’t fixed yet. and then i asked for another prescription and went to manual therapy because i was convinced that i needed someone strong to kind of reset my joint. and it helped reduce my pain, because for four out of the six 20 min sessions I had a guy who actually had some muscle and got in there. but he also didn’t really targeted the main problem area as much as i asked and just also repeated the exercises physiotherapy lady had taught me.
and the physiotherapy lady and the orthopedist i went to repeatedly brought up my weight. first of all, okay, if you’re in any way up to date medically you should know that people can’t safely loose a bunch of weight, especially quickly, and then maintain that. and secondly, the like..three times in my adult life i threw my back out were when i was on my period. my back is especially sensible when i’m on my period and physiotherapy lady actually told me i had hyper mobile ligaments. and guess what, when i was working out i was still on my period. so from my experience of living in my body i strongly felt like this wasn’t something that would fix itself with training core muscles but that that wouldn’t do much as long as the displaced joint wasn’t fixed with a similar force i had accidentally used to displace it. but no one would listen to me, i was actually told to zip it when i brought it up talking to the orthopedist because my weight. obviously.
so i’ve had this feeling of my lower back and right hip being on and off fucked up and my butt cheek and thigh hurting from the clamped nerve for a year now and was putting off begging a doc to give me another prescription for some therapy because i was tired of advocating for myself and not being listened to.
and guess what, i was just lying on my bed in front of my laptop and grabbed something in a weird twisty way and i think i fixed it. somehow i managed to move my sacroiliac joint in a way that i immediately felt that my nerve had been released. lmao i was right and this could have probably been solved months ago if anyone had listened to the fat girl. because guess what, thanks to the pain i had i didn’t do my exercises anymore since they hurt and i was scared to fuck more up. like, if you guys truly wanted me to loose weight or be “healthy” it would have helped me more if you had helped me with getting rid of the pain instead of pretending i am one of the magical 5% of people who can suddenly become thin, just because you told me to.
idk, just felt like sharing because weight discrimination in medicine is fucking scary and i’m mad that i had a workout routine i had to fight for to establish and now i need to start from scratch :/
