For anyone who is unaware, MAP means "minor attracted person" though this is nothing but a false name Pedophiles use in attempt to weasel their way into the Queer community. If you see anyone using this flag, block them and report them if you can.

Edit: I've seen a lot of people mention this so I'd like to state it here as well so more people can see it. 1) DO NOT REFER TO PEDOPHILES AS "MAPS". The only reason I used it here was to make people aware of what it means in this context. Children are unfortunately extremely likely to run into pedophiles on the internet (I myself was contacted by several back when I was still a minor, some before I even knew what "map" flags were). Some- not all, but some- are very open about being pedophiles, and of the ones who are open about it, most hide themselves behind the title "Minor Attracted Person" and use the "pride" flags they and 4chan users create. I have also run into these kinds of pedophiles on the internet and I only knew that they weren't safe and I needed to block them because I knew about the "map" thing and I recognized some of their flags. Actually using it when talking about pedophiles does nothing but help them hide and it also hurts the animation community. Which brings me to point 2) the term "MAP" in animation is an acronym for "Multi Animator Project". If you see an animation video with MAP in the title it simply means that the video was made in a collaboration between several animators, it is in no way related to pedophiles or pedophilia. We need to stop calling pedophiles MAPs both to stop giving them an "innocent" sounding title and to stop hurting the animators who are simply trying to keep their titles short and simple.

alright boys, girls, neither, both, and those in between we need to clear something up:

if someone says they are queer, they are queer.

no ifs, ands, buts, etc. they are queer.

and if they discover later that they're cishet, great, amazing, wonderful, i'm glad we gave them community when they were figuring themselves out and needed it.

I lived with some cishet guys for a while and they were some of the first people I came out to as trans at the time because they were my closest friends. I was scared, but at the time I felt relieved because they seemed receptive enough. Sure they told me they'd use my new name and pronouns, but I was held to a ridiculous standard that none of them held each other to.

Sure, they'd address me as a man, but only if I dressed plainly, in polos, tees, jeans and slacks in neutral colors with no patterns. Only if I wore sneakers or men's dress shoes. Only if I learned how to walk and talk like a man. Only if I stopped being so open in my love of men and being gay/bisexual. Only if I stopped "sounding" trans or gay. Only if I tired my hardest to blend in to cis male society- even harder than they did, would they address me as a man.

Anything and everything else was met with direct criticism and "are you sure you're a man?" remarks. My masculinity and manhood were constantly under scrutiny, while theirs was not. This isn't acceptance; accepting someone isn't conditional. This is being made to jump through hoops like a dog. This is being forced to perform just to survive. This is not how people who respect you for being trans treat you. Learn from my mistake.

On this fine day, at 8:37 AM, I walked outside to the front of my school and saw that they replaced the Canadian flag, the flag of our country, with a Pride flag. I have never felt happier. I have never laughed so hard in my life. This is in not a complaint, I just think it's very funny that they replaced the Canadian flag with a Pride flag for no apparent reason. They have their priorities figured out.

Yeah but have you ever had to look up if it's illegal to go on your vacation trip just because of who you love?

Were you not allowed to marry the person you love years ago?

Have looked at the we have the right to refuse service to anyone sign and get nervous?

Are you being discriminated against even in you own community because you don't want to love (aro/aces deserve double pride or smth idk)

Have you been denied by a doctor because you're trans and it's 'too complicated'?

Are cishet people being harassed and murdered because they're cishet?

We've fought for our place and we're still fighting. When you have to do that then you can have pride.
