Unfortunately, I have bad news. My disability money that I receive because of my Level 2 Autism, my main income, has not come in this month due to a bureaucratic mess-up that is going to take too long to be solved and may also not come in next month. (I am in Germany btw, and it is not just a stereotype that bureaucracy here is horrible and just... hellacious)

Coinciding with that, my parents have stopped supporting me financially thinking that the money that the state gives me now is way more than I deserve and that I am somehow living "the rich life" with that... I get this money because I cannot work a job. If you could work a job in Germany, they would absolutely make you, but they have ruled that out for me now completely. The money one does get as a severely disabled person is not more than what a non-disabled unemployed person gets (a fact that is unethical and immoral in my opinion but that as a sidenote) We have special needs, for example, I need meal replacements due to my autism which I am also working on having covered by insurance, but again, it is taking forever.

To make it through this month after having paid my rent, I will need some other financial support. I do have some of my Jellycats up for sale on my Ebay and may put up more (shipping outside of the EU is not an option for me, sorry) but I would appreciate it more if this post was shared so I might receive some emergency Ko-fi donations.

I would not be writing this here if it wasn't an emergency. This blog is about Jellycats and the autistic boy that loves them and sharing them with the world. It is making me uncomfortable to post this in my safe space which is why I will delete this post after the end of the month. But for now, I am desperate and do not know where else to turn to.

(I will continue to be posting on my blog as usual, that is not changing, although please understand that I am under a lot of stress right now and the frequency might be less this month)

THEY'RE VOTING ON KOSA THIS THURSDAY JULY 25TH

I already said this under a reblog but I wanna make my own post.

Kosa is the Kids online saftey act and would allow the government to monitor what kids would see online, to qoute "prevent and mitigate mental health disorders"

This bill would raise the legal age your allowed to be on any social site from 13 to 17 and would remove and hide content that exacerbates "self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, and substance use disorders." this would hide social media post educating teens and adults about these things, it would also make it almost impossible for adults and kids alike to acess health info on the internet.

The bill would also put in place a age verification system that would take peoples data to verify they're age and be stored in a huge database.Kosa allows congress to decide on whats appropriate for teens to see, meaning this will lead to mass censorship of any topic not deemed appropriate by our lovely senators!! /s

Lets be real here the first topic they'd want to ban is any and all LGBTQIA+ topics.

This is not about the kids and this has never been about the kids, this is just another thinly veiled excuse for the government to try and have complete control over the youth, and to silence LGBTQIA+ voices.

Although I belive the duty of care part of the bill has been amended so that the state attorney general can enforce the other parts of the bill but not the duty of care bit. (correct me If I'm wrong)

I like many other people would be run off this platform and every other platform for that matter for 4 years.

What we need to do right now is to lobby and we need to make our voices heard.

If any info here is wrong, please, please correct me, I will not take offense, I don't want to spread misinformation

IMPORTANT THING I FORGOT TO MENTION: Even if Kosa passes through the senate it still has to go through the house and I think it has more opposition there

As you've seen in another post by @lucius-official, the individual nope1661 "Big bear" has been harassing and grooming minors online, aswell as threatening to harm and dox them if they stated that they were uncomfortable with his behaviour. Today he made a new account and messaged a friend of mine @alexezcorner who has been harassed by this man for a year now, and doxxed them. His actions should be dealt with, so if you know this individual irl or online - please contact the proper authorities or let people you know be aware about him. To summarize this again for the unfammiliarized: Ethan was harassed by online adults (who are creeps and horrible people) by sending the most unethical and horrible crap that not even the society can accept. This includes making fun of Ethan's dead father, r@pe threats, just a lot of crap.

As for Wixtener (a.k.a. the one who said the most racist and horrible crap on me and sent Gregory NSFW when I was 14 years old), she was obsessed with the idea of sending r@pe threats when Ethan was 13 and making illegal content with his deceased father that would be posted on Reddit. Probably Wix didn't give a duck about it 😮‍💨

Please boost this up again. I hope those who harass Ethan can get the punch to the painful fire of hell.

Childhood cancer awareness is incredibly important to me!! A very close friend is currently back in the hospital for another round of chemo. This experience has drawn my attention to how little funding and recognition childhood cancer receives!! (Especially for rare cancer types like Sarcoma)

1 in every 285 children will develop cancer before the age of 20, 47 of those children will be diagnosed today, those 47 families will spend over 40% of their annual income on supporting their child. Tomorrow another 47 children will need your help and funding.

According to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund:

Childhood cancer remains the most common cause of death by disease among children in the U.S.

The amount of funding that goes to childhood cancer research continues to pale in comparison to the funds available for research into adult cancers. Current cancer research funding from the federal government, dedicates funding to childhood cancer research that is in the single digits.

I believe that these numbers can and should change. And that you can help! In the notes have I will be providing links to resources for helping children with cancer in your community, as well as links to donate directly to funding childhood cancer research and relief. Remember that you can have positive change in your community and in this world.
