Jondami/Damijon shipping guide.

• Superman (2016) Issues #10-#11

This is the first time they meet each other and they immediately knock heads. Jon’s lighter than life personality clashes with Damian’s cold personality and they don’t seem to get along but you can tell there’s something growing behind the eye rolling and tongue clicking… a friendship?

• Super Sons (2017)

This is the first of the Super Sons series, the series is really short but gold nonetheless. No Super Sons comic that I don’t like but this one is my favorite. They still are knocking heads and refuse to call each other partners but they grow and learn to be heroes together.

• Adventures of the Super Sons (2018)

They slowly start to get used to each other and this comic shows that Damian isn’t just straight up mean but is starting to somewhat ‘like’ Jon.

• Challenge of the Super Sons (2020)

The last main Super Sons comics. This one is fine but I love the others so much. These comics are essential to know Jon and Damian period, it’s the main comics of each others story and in a way they are important to each others development.

• Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons (2022)

Now after all that reading treat yourself to a movie because Jon and Damian got their own movie. This is what started Jon and Damian for a lot of people and this is probably where a lot of you are from. This movie is great and fun. They made Damian wayyy nicer than in the comics and their friendship easier.

• DC Rebirth Holiday Special (2016)

Please find and read this. It’s so cute. I love it so much.

• Dark Nights: Metal issue #3 (2017 -2018)

They make a rock band in the beginning, its so cute.

This is such a good series, and story in general please read it. DC peaked with this one and its so angsty. I don’t care what comphet was happening, Jon was there for Damian like no one else. I think Damian ends up with Cassie which is weird to me because Damian has never shown interest in anyone before but I excuse it since it’s not really gonna happen again since they were in a relationship just for the story to be more high stakes and sad. Jon and Damian’s relationship was at the forefront and for comic book readers DCeased made people see the potential in Jondami.

• DC’s Terror Through Time (2022)

This is so cute, please read this. It’s a halloween special and they switch uniforms <3!!

• DC Saved by the Belle Reve (2022)

They help a nonbinary person navigate school and it’s so damn cute.

• The age up incident.

(Disclaimer: You can pretend this never happens and I wouldn’t blame you for doing that.) A writer named Brain Micheal Bendis comes into the writers room for DC and ages up Jon in short. The story is that Superman goes missing (He travels to War World and gets stuck there) and Jor-El comes back to meet Jon and he takes him on a trip to explore space, then they get trapped in a wormhole, Jon gets stuck on Earth-3 and has to fight Ultraman. He’s stuck in a volcano for five or six years and becomes seventeen (we think) when he comes back. This was sad to me because it took away all the potential interactions for Jon and our ability to see him grow up, it was rushed and purposely so. Jon takes up the title of Superman somehow and starts to date some guy named “Jay Nakamura.”

• Superman: Son of Kal-El (2021) Issues: #1, #3, #6, #13, and #14.

He does get a boyfriend here and I think it’s amazing the fact he simply gets a boyfriend but no one really likes his bf so… and the are real reasons why Jay as a character is problematic BUT if you just don't want to see him with someone else than every time you see a pink haired twink, quickly skip.

• Super Sons (2017) Special

This is them reuniting after the age up and it shows how Damian reacts to it. I can’t actually find this and if anyone can please let me know where it is. I can only find bits and pieces of it scattered across the internet. All you need to know is that he doesn’t like the age up anymore than us since he says “I miss my friend.” which is really sad to me because the age up ultimately really hurts what people like about their dynamic as well as tarnish Jon’s character almost completely.

I’d say they aren’t exactly written right, well over all they are but their personalities are more relaxed and they care about each other a lot and will go out of their way to make sure the other is okay and protect them from danger, make them laugh etc, theres nothing wrong with this, its really cute but you can tell its not the typical jon and damian writers is all. I like it.

I have in my head a little AU where Jason takes Damian from the league, and they live nomadically for a while in Central Asia. But also, just any context of sheep or goats and Damian would make my day, but also no pressure, just if this happens to vibe with you, too. I absolutely love your art, even when it's fandoms I don't even know anything about.

We really don't talk enough about the fact that Damian is quite skilled at building and also knows how to perform Surgery.

The fandom really needs to use the two aspects of his character more. Like the potential. These two things plus his artistic skills can make a really good parallel about how Damian spent his early life destroying things but he actually enjoys creating and 'fixing' things and people

A while ago the perfect assassin was born, she was Talia's daughter but Ra didn't like the rebellious look in her eyes, they were claiming for destruction and he knew that she would do nothing but destroy the League as soon as she could.

So he rejected her as the heir, something Jazz grew to resent. When the twins Danyal and Damian were born, one was clearly weaker than the other, considering that he was born without breathing and was only saved at the last second.

This made Ra make his decision: Damian would be the heir and Danyal his shadow. But Danyal wasn't interested in killing, no matter how much he was punished for refusing, he wanted to see, to explore, to learn. Everyone could see it.

Because Damian was spending more time on heir training, Jazz devoted herself to taking care of Danyal. She tried to teach him but the boy kept refusing, failing over and over again in the most simply things, Jazz hated him.

Until she stopped hating and became fond of him, feeling a kinship because of their grandfather's rejection. Danny taught Jazz things she had never considered (love, stars, a new interest far away from training, find the meaning of life simply by living) and she made her decision: she would save the boy.

Jazz escaped with Maddie Fenton (one of Talia's students) seeing she wantes to save them too and could pass as their mother, she took Danny with her. She couldn't leave him in that place, she wouldn't forgive herself.

Of course, Damian grew to resent his younger twin for taking their sister away. Blaming him for being weak, why did Jazz leave him behind? He could be a good little brother too, he was better than Danyal! In everything!

So I touched on this on someone else's post but I'm sorry why is Talia always homophobic.

Her dad is old as fuck and bi as shit. Same with her she probably slept with Selina to get back at Bruce. Ra has seen entire countries fall and built more. He would not care about race, sex, or who you go to bed with.

He respects power and intelligence which can be found with anyone no matter who they are.

Real talk, in my opinion Damian Wayne should have totally been the undercover member of the regime in Injustice Gods Among Us. It would have been in line with the undercover work he’s done in cases like with Deathstroke, Streets of Gotham, and DC Vs Vampires, and he’s better trained for infiltration than Luthor. 

I’m sorry, but I’m sick of Luthor redemption arcs or reskinned versions of the same goddamn dance with Superman he’s been doing since the beginning of time. Maybe I want the recovering child soldier to be a stealth hero instead of bald Elon Musk. And maybe I’m tired of the “father vs son” routine with Bruce and Damian, because that’s also unbelievably old and worn out.

Damian deserves a chance to redeem himself for Nightwing’s Very Stupid Death and use the opportunity to help his father’s resistance, because, Teen Titans bullshit aside, it makes sense for him to understand that some villains do deserve and can earn redemption. He deserves a chance to wear Dick Grayson’s uniform with real pride as he undoes all of Superman’s attempts to manipulate him by proving he’s been working behind the scenes, if not straight from the beginning, then for a while at least.

I want Damian to be smart enough to not be killed by Superman and walk away from the end of Injustice with a chance to recover. I want him to get a chance to forgive and be forgiven by all the members of his family, not just Dick. I want him to be able to direct his attention towards healing the world after controlling it for so long. I want him to get a chance to truly reconnect with Athanasia and help her recover. I want him to maybe even help Kara when she gets to earth, because he knows a thing or two about the weight of legacy. Basically, I want a lot of things that Injustice never had the sense to give us.

Earlier blood tests were altered in real time because Maddie has a computer more powerful than anything Bruce or the League has. Its "ON" 24/7 altering anything regarding Bruce, Talia and Damian.

I’m such an apologist for Batman and Beyond Damian al ghul that I made a com for him.

I know that the way he came about was problematic but cmon, hes the only canon damian al ghul, I have to unconditionally love him. Also, Injustice Damian is extremely problematic and Tom Taylor wrote him and openly hated damian but no one talks about that.

Anyway, in that au, Damian has a very codependent love with Jon thats giving very brutalia but like Damian wishes that his beloved superman would take him away from this life and show him he could be good. So there's tons of Danny was actually Bruce's son the whole time! plots where Danny mom ranges from Catwoman, to Wonder Woman, to Talia Al Gul... Sooooo what if we turned into into a Mama Mia situation?

Like due to time shenanigans, looking at you Clockwork, no one realizes Danny is Bruce's son until Danny's a teenager. When they do find out everyone wants to know, who's the mom? Due to ectoplasm corrupting Danny's DNA they can't use it to confirm who exactly his mom is.

So Danny, in his no thoughts all action, head of his comes up with a plan to invite ALL of Bruce's ex's to Gotham by simply sending out invitations to his debut gala.

Bruce finds out too late to stop it and the rest of the Bat fam are egging Danny on. Damian wants Talia to be Danny mom if only so that if he had to share the "only biological son" title at least it will be with a full blooded sibling. Dick wants it to be Selena because she's his favorite. Jason is rooting for Diana because she's his favorite. Everyone else are switching sides on a whim depending on which brother can convince them the most. (Duke and Tim are the ones who swap the most. Duke because he doesn't really care and finds it funny. Tim because he's 3 days of no sleep and too many cans of monster coffee energy to really be thinking straight)

Meanwhile once Bruce figures out what is going on, realizes that he has to deal with a gala that will have all of his ex's in it and is slowly loosing his mind

I cannot tell you how much I laughed at this, dear god the execution of this is amazing.

Tim had spent enough time around the ‘al Guls and the Pits to know that there is something off with that stuffed rabbit, but not enough to know anything else. Not like he knows that though.

He knows that the rabbit is just everywhere though. Damian can’t just be this careless to leave it behind all the time right? Damian says it’s on purpose, but Tim can see something in his eyes that says he’s lying.

Tim’s going to get to the bottom of this, even if he has to steal Damian favorite stuffed animal. It would definitely be a challenge to take it without him noticing. Matters get even worse when he finds out that Cass and Jason are also protecting the stuff bunny for some reason.

He’s feels like more like Bernard and less like Red Robin when he starts to connect what pieces of “evidence” he can find to figure out what exactly is going on. So far, he thinks that the bunny is possibly possessed and is mind controlling Damian, Cass, and Jason.

Then Alfred takes away his coffee privileges and Tim adds his name to the “possibly mind controlled” list.

Thinking of a reverse Robin au, but what that would mean for the characterization of them.

1. Damian. The blood son, the loose blade, and the one that escaped Rah al Gul.

I think that he wouldn't do a decowling. No matter how much he and Bruce would fight. He is extremely loyal to a fault and would want to stay at his side, even if it wasn't as Robin. He'd also train all of his siblings so they'd be better tools for his father. (He adores them and is terrified of them dying)

2. Tim Drake, the detective who found out Batman's and Robin's identity after he saw Damian, gently getting a cat out of a tree and saved Bruce (who had been kidnapped some big bad and was gone for months) by sharing every detail he had with Damian. He was the one that died for Damian and became rahs right hand man in his wake.

3. Jason, who stole tires of the bat mobile to help his friends escape from a really angry bat duo. The one that became a powerful enforcer and medic. He wasn't allowed to train at first because both Damian and Bruce didn't want to lose another child and tried to turn him into a medic, so he'd feel included. Then Tim reappeared and "took pity on him."

4. Dick, the angry gremlin that wants to murder his parents murderer. He is a boy full of love and pain and doesn't know how to control them. His brothers help him though.

The family still lives in the Wayne manor, but it has been renovated to become larger with Arabic style architecture.

The batcave is no longer there, replaced by an underground Al Gul base, with only one batsuit to display. Damian keeps it as a showcase. A trophy that Ra's once told him to win.

Surprisingly Damian buried Bruce next to Thomas and Martha Wayne. The Wayne graves are still where they were originally. Still intact. (Damian tells his servants to tend to it)
