HOW TO WRITE ROMANTIC ATTRACTION FOR DUMMIES

For anyone who wants to learn, (especially aro/ACE, aspec, ect.)

Alrighty! Welcome back or welcome to my blog! I'm dipping my toes back into the category of posts that gained me my exposure!

So if you're here, you want to know how to write romantic attraction/romance!

Strap in and let's begin!

(Pls spread this to people you think would benefit from seeing it, or anyone who requested it bc I forgot, ANY ASPECS)

Step one -

Your characters must admire one another at the beginning, Romantic feelings usually do not present themselves as obvious until you really think them through, meaning your characters may not notice they have a crush until it's too late

These are general statistics and light stereotypes. So feel free to not use this tip:

Male characters usually tend to notice physical things first, like body shape, hair, skin, clothing, the way their lover moves, ect

And Female Characters Generally tend to notice more small things and personality-based traits first, like their lover's humor, speaking mannerisms, shifts in expression, ways they fidget, emotion in their voice, ect.

And someone who is in love will generally show more interest in this particular person's movements, actions, words, and anything in general.

Step 2 -

The character will show more interest in sharing their love language with their lover/crush

Physical touch - People with physical touch love languages may want to hold hands, cuddle, hug, or just lean on their crush whenever they are close to them moreso than they want to with others

Gift giving - Gift givers will want to get more gifts more often for their crush, probably thinking of them whenever they see little trinkets or wanting to get them big gifts for special occasions or signs of appreciation

Acts of Service - Acts of service people will offer to do extra favors and a bunch of extra stuff they don't have to do twice as much as normal

Words of Affirmation - Flattery, they will generally flood their crush with kind words and compliments

Quality time - Quality time people will want to spend time with their crush at almost every turn, and when they want company, will turn to their crush first

Step 3 -

After a while, these urges while become very prominent and more noticeable to the person having them

They may find themselves fantasizing about their crush or having them show up in their thoughts more and more, feeling nicer and happier when they're around, or when they're thinking about them

Smiling when they think about them, cutsey little fluff thingies like that

A crush is essentially: I want to date that, I want to be near that always, I want to marry that, I want that to snuggle me (or other love languages)

Or in simpler terms: if that asked me out, I would say yes (or at least want to say yes if your character is in denial)

Step 4 -

The character's urges to be close to this person grows strong enough that they do smth about it, whether prompted by another character. Or they just don't know I how to not anymore (like when you wanna eat candy and you don't want to, but you do anyway bc I JUST NEED THE CHOCOLATE OKAY?)

(Or for Aro/Ace, garlic bread)

People who are in love are generally very prone to be all dreamy and poetic and VERY EXTREMELY BIASED towards their crush

Then Yada Yada they kiss & shit

A kinda-chunky info comic(?) about asexuality and aromanticism, in celebration of International Asexuality Day today!!

Also, I’m not trying to erase asexual representation today by explaining aromanticism as well, I just thought it would be useful to explain both in this comic, as they’re so closely related, and I’m not sure the next opportunity I’ll get to make a whole other comic for aromantics. Not to mention I’m both, and don’t want to explain asexuality in a skewed or inaccurate way because of that fact

Vil: Watching the interaction between the Prefect and the Malleus from this world, I would say that they're a perfect match.

Leona: Hey, you're going to jinx it for the lizard.

Lilia: What are you saying, Vil? The perfect match for the Prefect is our Malleus. They don't need another version of him.

Sebek: THAT'S RIGHT!

Ace: So... Idia-senpai? How's the portal going?

Idia: It's stable. However, I prefer that Malleus and Grim arrive there immediately.

Ortho: Are you worried, brother?

Idia: I mean, I'm the one responsible for their return. And I hate this kind of pressure.

Malleus and Grim: ...

Malleus: Are we lost?

Grim: Yeah... We've been going in circles.

"In circles, you say?"

"Oh dear! Poor travelers!"

Malleus and Grim: !!!

Grim: Who's that?!

Guide Ace and Deuce: *show themselves*

Guide Ace: We are the guardians of this place. *stoic*

Guide Deuce: If you're lost, we could help you find your way! *energetic*

Malleus: Trappola and Spade.

Guide Deuce: Eh?! You know us?! OMG, Ace! We're famous!

Guide Ace: I don't think that's something you should be happy about.

Guide Deuce: Ehhhhhhh? That's what you said in our wedding to!

Malleus and Grim: ...

Ace and Deuce: ...

Ace and Deuce: WHAT THE FUCK?!

Riddle: Oho~? So you two are a married couple in this world?

Epel: Seems legit.

Leona: Pft-

Cater: Be who you are~.

Ace: I-No!

Deuce: I would marry anyone, except this dummy!

Ace: You're the dummy!

Vil: Quiet! You're not the focus of this mission.

Ace and Deuce: *groans*

Malleus: How would you help us?

Grim: Yeah! We want to go to the place of Malleus Draconia!

Guide Ace: Oh. Malleus Draconia, you say?

Guide Deuce: But aren't you THE Malleus Draconia??

Malleus: ...

Malleus: A friend of mine played a joke on me and I couldn't seem to find the way to my castle.

Guide Ace: Classic.

Guide Deuce: Well! We can help you with that! It's a good thing you never switch places even though you are always being attacked by the other dragon faes!

Guide Ace: He didn't need to after he started hunting them instead.

Malleus: ...

Grim: *whispers* Wow, the other you is scary.

Malleus: ...

Yandere Malleus: *knows that Malleus and Grim have arrived into his world*

Hi take this PDF of the piano sheet music book released for Apollo Justice Ace Attorney + Dual Destinies, plus MIDI files for each song so you can hear what they'd all sound like even if you can't play piano! (Like me! Well, sort of. I can't read sheet music.)

The book itself doesn't seem that rare, so people probably already have the sheets posted places, but these MIDIs are personally created at least.

I made them a while ago, and only ended up posting a few, so figured I'd share all of them at once. If a note sounds like a dud, believe me, I copied everything directly from the notation directly. If you're going to listen to any, I'd suggest Loving Guitar's Serenade or the AA5 Courtroom Melody.

Origami Miles Edgeworth. 2nd fold of the new color change version! Designed+folded by me, one uncut square of about 35 cm before folding. Red on one side and silvery on the other. This version is holding a crane! I used some of the would-be finger flaps to fold a crane for him to hold as I've been thinking about that one conversation since playing Trials and Tribulations.

I wanna talk more about graduate school… about how, even though I’m applying for something monumental there’s a lot of conflict surrounding it that I’ve been trying to ignore. Mostly that there are some people that don’t see it as a big achievement, or as monumental, unless it’s done their way. I dunno, I’ll get into more detail on it in my next post. But, even though I’m proud of myself I feel like I’m disappointing a lot of people, and I’m carrying a lot of weight on it. It’ll be nice to let some of that go, but it’s tough right now. Just trying to keep my head up, okay? You keep your head up too, okay?

Follow the senior officer inside while acting normally and answering any questions as required.

They will assign you to a guard post, usually the 2nd floor for new arrivals

Do a good job while subtly seeking information from people.

Wait for the time when the cell you want is left by its guard to rest.

When it's break time and you're trusted enough to go anywhere, immediately go to the cell you want.

If you close to the warden while work then there is a chance you can be trusted with copies of certain keys.

Use it to enter the cell

Uses the hair clip technique to open the sea stone handcuffs.

Slip slowly out, avoiding anyone you might see on the way.

Get on one of the delivery boats and never come back, hopefully.
