Jealousy headcanons

Tumblr media
I also have scenarios partially based on those hcs incoming ☆
Tags: Price'sAssistant!Reader, fluff, protectiveness, possessiveness (but wholesome).
SOAP:
Was actually working on asking you out. Needs it to be perfect. Getting maniac about it.
Outraged when another guy makes a move first. Especially one that mediocre. Although if he was honest, he doesn't think a single dude on base is worthy of you. Yes even himself
So petty. Will hold a grudge forever. You'll have all but forgotten about it, but not him. Oh no. He mentally branded his rival for life. Dude is in his sights. He won't do anything that would put the other's life at risk, but make his life suck? Easy peasy. Will back down when the other back down. ...For now.
Will switch your jacket with his. Yes it's childish, so what? Only when Gaz mentions that if you two are dating in secret, you’re not being very discreet, and once you’re done choking on your drink, you learn that there's MACTAVISH written in big bold letters on your back. (Didnt notice cos you have the same type of jacket as em in the same size since they didnt have one in your own)
Very vocal and agitated about his distaste and resentment. Rants with hand gestures, forever if you don't stop him. Accent and slang getting more and more scottish as he goes.
“Ain't you all sunshines and rainbows today!” you tease him, a bit overwhelmed by his fervor, and by how personally he's taking this. You assume it's a TF141 thing - they've always been protective of you since you're the civilian of the team and the least experimented, even acting as buffer between you and other soldiers. You’re their assistant, their teammate, and no one else's.
Unbeknown to you, your wannabe suitor had boasted about the move he made on you to other soldiers. To make himself look good, and to get some kind of reassurance. The minute Soap heard mention of your name, he couldn’t help but join the group to listen in.
Galvanized by the feedbacks of his mates, the guy gets bolder in his remarks. Johnny will never report to you what he heard - it would only hurt you. When he calls out to the man, the private still doesn't realize his mistake. He replies to the sergeant with enthusiasm, thinking he's here to join the locker talk.
To think that guy dared to think Soap was on his side - would sympathize -, simply because of some implicit bro code. He was boiling until now, but that was what made him snap.
Before he could even think about it, he already had knocked the private on his ass with one punch. The altercation was broken up before he could do more.
He's itching for a fight, but he'll settle for a punching bag. Unless the guy intimidated you, or made you uncomfortable in any way. Then he's already leaving the room after you’re done telling him about it, and if you stop him, he tries to convince you it's for the best. Letting him deal his own brand of justice. It's kind of his specialty, after all.
Either you give in, and you two talk again afterwards, or you resist, despite his arguments turning into supplications. In both cases you end up asking the one burning question: "Why does this bother you so much?"
He suddenly looks like a child caught red-handed with his hand in the cookie jar. Avoiding your gaze. Grumbling to himself. You have to insist for him to make his speech audible again. Replies with another question. "Why wouldn’t it?"
You sigh, cross your arms. "You know what I mean. I never saw you so fired up over something that wasn’t work-related." You eventually manage to extract a confession from him.
"He... he's not your type." More grumbling. You raise your eyebrows in disbelief, before a smirk stretches your lips. "Oh? And what is my type, Sergeant?"
He looks almost pained for a second, and you feel guilty, even though you don't know what for. Then his expression changes, to one that reminds you of a condemned man in front of the gallows - a blend of resignation and resolve. He wraps his arms around you and hides his face in the crook of your neck. "Don't tease me, Bonnie." Before you can comfort him, moved but still confused, he adds: "Or I won't be able to hold back anymore."
You try to remove from his spot, but his embrace prevents you from backing down and his head doesn't budge. "Johnny... look at me. Tell me what's wrong. Let me help. Please?"
He finally meets your gaze, forehead almost touching yours. He looks more vulnerable than you've ever seen. "Go out with me?" Before you can answer, he adds: "I'll be so, so good to ye, swear it. Hell, ye've got me wrapped 'round yer finger already."
GHOST:
In denial about his feelings for you. Doesn't stop him from feeling super possessive though.
Two words: starring problem. Whether it's menacingly at the other guy, or at you, to make his disapproval known, just in case the absurd idea to accept his advances happened to cross your mind.
You're way too good for that bloke who doesn't even have the balls to face you himself (he left a note on your desk). Who the bloody hell does he think he is?
If the guy happened to scare you or coerce you in any way, he's done for. Gone. You'll never know what Ghost did, but you never saw the dude again. And when you ask around, no one seems to understand who you’re refering to...
If he's not starring at you from afar, he's with you, magically appearing at random times of the day.
When you ask him for explainations about his behaviour, he grumbles that he knows about the private's confession, and how that bloody wanker is obviously beneath you, and that you could find so much better.
You never planned to accept the other guy's advances anyway, but you’re terribly intrigued by Ghost's unusual behavior. He brags about his own skill here and there, but doesn't waste time ranting about others' lack thereof.
"I don't know about 'much better'", you argue, only half-serious. The men who've approached you can be counted on the fingers of one hand, and none of them was... adequate. But you don't really want to talk about it with your tall and dark lieutenant, a man that manages to intimate you as much as he charms you.
The sentence barely left your lips that the creaking of his chair makes you look up, and you can read something akin to "you can’t be serious" in his eyes before he stops in front of your desk. "Simon?" you call out, confused, but instead of answering, he cradles your face with one hand, the other lifting his mask halfway.
"Bite me if you don't want this" is the only warning you get before his mouth meets yours. You keep your teeth to yourself. He overwhelms you completely with just one kiss. When he releases you, you need a moment to pull yourself together.
"How's that for much better?"

Call of Duty: Original Character
The Kusuma: Luna and Lexa
[originally posted on December 29, 2022]
John Price's personal "special force" and adopted children
Gifted Name, Legal Name, and Code Name:
Rajni Cakrawulan Purbawasesa Kusumaningrum = Rajni “Luna” Purbawasesa (she/they)
Bramantara Laksamana Sadawira Kusumawijaya = Bramantara “Lexa” Sadawira (he/they)
Character information:
Twitter thread: (currently contains Luna's journal)
twins, born in 1997, both are pansexuals.
Javanese, from Indonesia. Got kidnapped by the kidnappers, on purpose, they killed their parents. since 7 years old (2004), they have to fight to get foods.
saved by Captain Price when they were 15 (2012). they were found in somekind of gladiator sphere sonewhere at Suriname area. Price got their names from the kidnappers' file.
Price is basically like their brother but also their father. There's no in between.
Both are mirroring each other. When one got excited, the other would calm the other down. if they're both excited or calm, there have to be Price with them
introverted!Luna extroverted!Lexa , but that doesn't affect their personalities
both are curious by their own way. Luna would be asking and listening for answers. Lexa would reading and searching for answers.
Price brought them to the military to learn things. Maybe too much. Because— Luna can control various land vehicles, while Lexa can control various air/sky and water vehicles.
Price let them stay in his 2nd house, because he just use his 1st house. And let them to come whenever they want. But, as javanese, they were taught with what nots of manners even without Price tell them anything about “manners”
both are multilinguals. Luna: fluent in indonesian, javanese and english, good in hebrew, greek and latin, knows arabic and russian. Lexa: fluent in indonesian, javanese, english, french and dutch, good in spanish, mandarin, japanese, korean. Luna curses in javanese; Lexa curses in indonesian.
Luna is the rebel kid, and Lexa is her caretaker or her tamer. Price? I told you, he is whether their brother or their father.
Fight preference:
Luna is great in physical combat because she knows Pencak Silat (Indonesian Martial Arts) learnt Karate and Taekwondo, and also her body is strong, so she can use her strength, endurance, and energy. Somewhat good but not that great in using ranged weapons, but melee weapon actually is her specialty. does anything with her instincts.
Lexa is great in hand-to-hand combat because he has a great agility and stamina. not really good in using melee weapons, but ranged weapons is his specialty. also tech-person. does anything with his knowledges (he got photographic memory)
Luna has wavy Keris and Lexa has Bionet. Both are Javanese traditional weapons.
Luna plays rhythmic instruments. Lexa plays melodic instruments. Price would sing with Lexa.
Luna has a journal/diary (see here). She likes to write anything with her handwriting. Lexa loves the convenient of writing with keyboard, he probably has writeas or Ao3 or even Wattpad.
Luna likes to cooks main courses; while Lexa for deserts. Price taught them.
Physical Appearance:
Luna: a bit darker tan skinned, big round eyes with dark brown eye color, middle long eyelashes but thicker than Lexa's, natural arched eyebrows, moody in clothes types and colors (mostly black, dark colors, and monochromes; wears lighter color if Lexa tells her to or when she wants to).
Lexa: has lighter skin tone than Luna, sharp eyes with brown eye color, long eyelashes, thick straight shaped eyebrows, wear any kind of clothes and colors based on anything exist by his sight (but mostly in earth toned colors; wears darker colors if Luna tells him to, or when he wants to).
Luna: 165 cm, 65kg. Waist long black hair, tied bun half down with hairstick in casual, dutch braided in fight and french braided bun in formal. Always bring a lipstick, it comes in handy. Always has pointy hairsticks and big needles on her outfit that she could use to attack anyone. Only used the pointy hairsticks to warn the enemy. Her right eye ball is changed with mechanical prosthetic eye that she can turn into flashlight with a magnet. She lost her right eye sight in fight when she was 10 because of a spear, that explains the long wound from her right cheek through her right eye to her right side of the forehead. she also has any smaller recovered scars on her body of the stabbing or slashing. she would always use black sunglasses.
Lexa: 185cm, 85kg. Shoulder long dark red brown hair, tied half bun down in casual, a total mess with headband in fight, tied bun in formal. He only needs his finger to comb his hair (Luna can't relate). Always bring slingshot and any kinds of bullet on his outfit. the biggest scar he had is on his back, long wound from his left waist to his right shoulder. he also has smaller recovers scars on his body by the stabbing or slashing. always has the 2nd headband or bracelets on his left hand to cover the scars he made after he tried to kill himself numerous times, just for the kidnappers “saved” him because the donators liked his fights.
sometimes— they would have half mask on for their daily.
Education and Emploment:
While they weren't “working” with Price, Luna is studying for philosophy of divinity major and serving in a church near the seminary, while Lexa is studying criminological psychology and working in a library.
Price gave their “nickname” by their real name. Luna from Wulan (also means Bulan), means “Moon”. Lexa from Laksamana, means “a Fighter, a Warrior”. They like it. Luna once challenged Price to say her first name, Rajni; Price needs a week to finally pronounced it correctly.
both are strategist; Luna with her instinct and Lexa with his knowledge. Yes. They come in package.
they come in package. no one can change that, except if Price tell them to go in one-by-one. They were called “The Kusuma”, means “The Flowers”. They are a special “team” not related to any military, so they only work in Price's commands, mostly in guerrillas or rescue missions. Sometimes, they come in package because Luna needs someone to keep her safe while she was doing anything she needs to do.
Maybe Price was too young for being their Father, but Laswell understood how important Price for them. She gave them a device to monitor Price's position when they need it or when they have to (means when Price was on a mission). The Twin are the only one who would know Price position if he were abducted, gone missing, or was going on a run. Lexa then upgraded it.
Plot Information:
They are always go to a forest on saturdays, where they would fight each other without safety to maintain their abilities in fight. And Price is the only person who know their spot, and the only one who allowed by the twin to come or to join them in the fight. They feel honoured for the way Price would keep up with them as a twin, that means sometimes they would hold each other's energy. But— They know how “dangerous” Price actually is. If anything, they acknowledge that it's basically them who needs to keep up with Price, rather than Price having to keep up with them even for being a twins.
You know the original Luna? Yes, the Tse Míngzhū's Luna. Kusuma's Luna likes Tse “Luna” Míngzhū as if she was her sister. When Kusuma's Luna is with Luna, Kusuma's Luna will go with “Luna-two”, and they were sometimes joking with it in “Loonatoo”. Tse promised Rajni to bring her to Singapore and would go with her if she wants to go back to Indonesia, when they have holidays or vacations.
Luna thought Soap and Alejandro was scary, while Lexa thought the same about Ghost and Rudolfo. Meanwhile, Gaz gives them cakes or cookies, sometimes; same with Laswell's wife, after MWII2022, because it's the first time Price let them to meet Laswell, after Laswell found out about Makarov.
Why were the Twin ever got scared of them? Soap: he reminds Luna of their scary neighbor when she was a kid who had the same hairstyle (in Indonesia, there was an assumption or stereotype that people with the same hairstyle like Soap or mohawk are not good people...). Alejandro: Luna is the “look into people's eyes when talking” person, without a smile, Alejandro's eyes was so sharp and looks like could've cut people in pieces just by looking at them. Ghost: well... their kidnappers wore balaclavas... both Luna and Lexa do remember about it but it was traumatic for Lexa even more. Rodolfo: for Lexa, he looks even more serious and mysterious than Ghost... Lexa wouldn't wonder if Ghost being mysterious because Ghost hides his face; but Rudolfo shows his face and looks scary.
Valeria was one of their “donator” for a few years. Price gave the Twin all the fighters' and donators' files once they got into a college. He was too afraid to give it to them when they were not “old” enough for it. When Price told them they got Valeria Garza, it's Lexa who instantly remember about her and having a hard time to cope with that. While— Luna doesn't remember at first (she's having damaged memory due to traumatic head concussion); but she'd chose to be the one who remember rather than having his brother going through a hard time of those triggering events.

Hi there! I love all the detail you’ve put into your OCs, so much so that I sometimes forget that Thranduil’s sons aren’t all canon 😂
I’ve been wondering if any of them (or any other elf OCs you’ve written) are anywhere on the LGBT+ spectrum. It’s no big deal if they aren’t! But I always headcanoned some (maybe even most?) elves to be relatively asexual, and maybe to blur gender lines here and there as well.
I’d love to hear any headcanons or thoughts you have about it!
sometimes forget that Thranduil’s sons aren’t all canon 😂
Tumblr media
That is high praise my friend, thank you for saying so! <3 Thank you for dreaming with me!
Regarding the Thranduilions' places on the LGBT+ spectrum, I don't have hardset headcanons about 4 out of the 5 brothers! (Mirion is the exception--he's straight, and I gave him a SotWK-canon family.) That may sound strange since I go pretty deep about the other aspects of the Princes' characters, but I purposely keep their romantic interests/inclinations/preferences open for interpretation--both mine and readers of my fics.
What I have personally found in fandom is that we enjoy having at least some characters who are not canonically, specifically paired with a love interest, because it allows us the freedom to imagine different possibilities for relationships. Yes, fanfic writers can always defy canon (just as I do with Éomer), but it's just different when you don't have to. (That might make better sense to Type A sticklers like myself.) Examples of such "unattached" Tolkien canons, to name just a few, are Legolas, Boromir, Glorfindel, Bilbo, Thorin, and most of the Dwarves!
So yeah, I want fans of the Thranduilion Brothers (they have fans at this point, hopefully?) to have the freedom to play around and imagine the different ships they favor for them. I want that flexibility for myself too, although I stick to M/F pairings, since that's my specialty. My general rule is to write themes/ships/experiences/characters I am well-versed at, so I can deliver my best to the fandom.
Now regarding Elves, asexuality, and blurred gender roles, I actually think we share similar opinions on that! I'm definitely no expert on asexuality, but Elves do seem to hold less interest in sex compared to mortals. This is why I personally don't write Thranduil as a very sexual character compared to other writers, to a point where he may probably be considered asexual (see more of my HCs about that here). I tend to hold Elrond in this same view, based on his love for and relationship with Celebrian.
I hope that sufficiently answers your question! Thank you again so much for your interest and the Ask! <3

love and trust au headcanons bc they’re lowkey slowburn and i do NOT feel like going chronological b4 talking abt them kissing
-it takes nancy a couple of weeks of testing the waters before transforming into her human form and when she does robin is literally floored bc “oh my god she’s so small….” and also like exactly her type😭
-nancy has varying degrees of human form, with the natural form being with the fluffy cat ears and tail and slit pupils, but if she tries she can make the cat features go away
-i didn’t get to go into as far into detail as i wanted regarding robin and her magic. robin’s magic is elemental and chaos based, it’s VERY powerful and in typical robin fashion leaves a mess when she gets out of hand. its destructive as hell, so her specialty IS combat even if that’s not where her interests lie. robin’s method of channeling is actually pretty unique, preferring to use an intricate dagger her mother gave her to cast spells.
-even though nancy eventually trusts and opens up to robin, she has a very clear dislike for other witches, especially those that she’s just met. when robin goes out to buy supplies and nancy accompanies her, many other store patrons are forced to endure her icy glare from her perch on robin’s shoulders
-a few people comment on this, verbally expressing their sympathy to robin for having such a hostile familiar, and robin is surprisingly pretty pissed every time someone brings this up, swiftly coming to nancy’s defense every time
-nancy purrs
-like they’ll be kissing and robin will be like “r u purring🤨” “NO”
-nancy sleeps in robin’s bed only a few weeks after joining her, but as a cat. it’s when things get romantic that she shares robin’s bed as herself
-when they get into petty arguments nancy sleeps in her cat bed as a form of protest and is always scratching at robin’s door an hour later lol
-robin wasn’t really a fan of cats before nancy, mainly because most of them hissed whenever she walked by, but she sees their charm in nancy’s little tendencies
-robin always has cat hair on her clothes, she is never free
-nancy is, naturally, very protective of robin. now whenever people sneer at robin for messing something up or just existing they live in fear of either a little demon with claws or a little woman with a gun
-robin likes to boast that she can pick nancy up in both forms
-steve is still robin’s best friend in this au (he’s a witch and eddie is his familiar) and nancy HATES him like sitcom cat level hatred but she gets along REALLY well with eddie (a massive crow)
-steve: “robin ur familiar is looking at me with murderous intent again”
robin: “her name is nancy”
-robin buys nancy both regular outfits and cat outfits (the latter of which she refuses to wear) (except for on robin’s birthday where she agrees to a cat vest)
-robin and nancy balance each other out really well, with nancy being a careful eye that keeps robin from making small mistakes and robin who lets nancy have more magical freedom than most familiars do (nancy is a big fan of curses)
-after awhile, robin never goes anywhere without nancy. if for any reason she has to she always finds herself turning to see how nancy feels about something before realizing she isn’t there.
-nancy, by extension, never feels stronger than when she’s with robin. robin is her reminder that she’s a person, not a battery or a servant, she feels way more confident pursuing what she wants when she knows robin is at her side.
-nancy initiates the first kiss after robin wins a tense witch duel with her help, its heated and clearly an impulse move. robin doesn’t immediately respond, which makes nancy pull back and run off without letting robin explain anything, a tiny blur of fur disappearing into the trees
-robin is worried out of her mind until nancy comes home much later that night. she seems set on trying to apologize when robin confesses her feelings, explains that she needed to do that first, before kissing her. nancy melts into it and quickly affirms that she feels the same, apologizing for freaking out on robin as well
-nancy’s jewelry that ties her to robin is a fine gold choker that curls close to her throat and sports tiny white crystals throughout. robin, after almost falling over bc she’s so smitten, jokes that its almost like a collar and nancy pounces on her (violence)
lmk if y’all r still interested :)

psst.... u should infodump about ur ocs.... please i am all ears and ur ocs seem so interesting
APOLLO !!!! HII. um. please forgive how normal im about to be.
i have like three universes of characters that i semi-actively work on, along with like. a collection of fandom ocs (jrwi/prsekai/our girls) and d&d characters :3 however i um. won't bother you about all of them today WHLFKDJSLFK
ANYWAYS. UH. gingerly picks up the yeilan storyline. Hi.
alright so some basic background is that this is a fantasy world with three main types of magic, heavily inspired by logos/pathos/ethos. you can skip to the bolded names if you dont feel like reading my shoddy worldbuilding
logos magic can be picked up by basically anyone; it's the main sponsor of education throughout the continent and once you surpass basic education you can continue to learn magic. it basically goes from lvl twenty (think kindergarten) to lvl zero (masters/phd ish except this level is basically unachievable. like you gotta be built DIFFERENT.). you can pretty much get to level 15 without picking up any of the magic and just getting a decent education out of it.
pathos magic is innate; it's something you're born with or not, usually inherited. specialties range Heavily, but most are related to emotions or the unknown. most lean heavily towards minor healing or fixing, but in rare cases they may relate to emotions, desire, or the future.
ethos magic is rare. it's treated and taught about as if it were innate, but in most cases practitioners have gone through strange means in order to acquire it. it's the only one of the three to actively be "demonized" <- not the term i want to use but the only one i can think of. practitioners are often called tallies, and are often either in positions of power or authority or distinct outcasts. it's the only kind of magic that can cause overload, which can cause uncontrollable magic to leak from a weakened user, with potential to cause deadly damage to them and those around them.
the entire story takes place in the continent of yeilan (hence the name), across a few countries and cities.
ANYWAYS. ON TO. UM. MY ACTUAL OCS. I GUESS.
ria gair-oanixi (she/her) (the last name convention is that you take both parents' names and then pick one once you declare yourself independent) is a twelve-year-old, mixed between wren and spirit heritage. this basically just means that her parents liam (a wren) and tetiana (a spirit) hail from sea-based and plant/nature-based "species" . god okay this tells you NOTHING about her so let me actually do that
she's the youngest of the protagonists !! she's often babied and uses that to her advantage, since she's a lot smarter than she lets on. at the same time - she's still a kid, and definitely shouldn't be taking part of everything, but. well. people who like to play god are funny like that. she's very cheerful and eager to learn, but also has a tendency to fall into the same pattern of mistakes a Lot. the reason she's involved in the first place is because tetiana (her mom) made a deal with an entity known as kirami. she's an ethos magician who specializes in wish magic, but can only grant a person's wish if they're vocalizing their truest desire.
korinth tenria (or just kori) (he/they) is a human, late twenties-ish i think. he's an extremely attuned pathos practicer, and the one who originally collected the group in the first place after a vision where he saw the two others during the end of the world. he isn't really sure if they do anything to prevent it, but hopes that by getting to know them they can at least have others to turn to. they promised to liam to take care of ria, and refuse to break that promise. um. he specializes in sensing emotions with some visions of the future sprinkled in for flavor. he's very well-spoken and cares very deeply about things, usually gets delegated to the position of holding the leashes of the other two despite very much wanting to enable them further.
jieun kast-seretine (any pronouns) has wren heritage. they're a student at the school of magic and are top of their class, currently certified up to level three. she's in her mid-twenties and frighteningly close to complete burnout <3 she's incredibly accomplished for her age though like mad respect. xe're honestly just a silly little guy and i love em dearly <3 ey're currently searching for a way to further innovate standardized magic practices and research in less-explored subjects. massive nerd who adores the little things.
I COULD GO ON. BECAUSE. THERES LIKE A DOZEN MORE CHARACTERS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THIS STORY. like the main reason they think the world is ending is because of two stupid ass people who like to play god - read, kirami and regalium. or how cons fell in love with regalium despite knowing it'd never be reciprocated and now he's their champion, fighting for a god he doesn't even believe in. or how the world starts ending because the sky rips itself apart because of these two idiots trying to play god. a lot of it hinges on kirami and regalium actually . neither of them are really wrong they just have different ideas of what's right.
um. thumbs up. i was gonna talk about some of my riptide ocs and maybe the seven universe but this is getting super long so im just gonna post it now ^_^ thank you for giving mean excuse to ramble about them

[ keith powers, cis man, he/him ] - was that dominic davis i saw by the lighthouse today? i heard that the thirty-one year old who has been in nightrest for twenty-five years (on & off) and works as a music producer has a reputation of being passionate, but also dismissive. they reside in ashmore & people in town usually associate them with never being seen without his headphones, tequila shots, fast cars & drunken mistakes. let’s hope the killer doesn’t go after them next.
trigger warnings: drunk driving & drugs mention
BASICS
full name: dominic davis
nickname: dom
date of birth: august 1, 1991
gender: cis man
pronouns: he/him
occupation: music producer (currently taking a break)
birthplace: nightrest, massachusetts
sexuality: heterosexual
height: 6′2″
BACKGROUND
born in an old money family, everything this man ever wanted, he got
however, as the black sheep of the family, he’s not really into following the “perfect family image” his family’s trying to portray them to be
sure, he’ll play nice and smile especially around other people but he’ll take the first chance he can get to get out of any and all events he always considered boring
he loves his parents, and he loves his siblings and he knows that they just want him to succeed in life, and he would truly do anything for any of them but he always felt like he fell short and it’s been something he struggled with and never even talked to them about
his parents are two surgeons who might not always be around because of how demanding their jobs can be, but did their best to make sure their family spent time together. they’re incredibly smart and incredibly successful in their respective specialties and are literally saving lives every single day and younger dom was just sitting there wondering how he’d ever live up to that
like he’s smart but not too smart that he’s at the top of his class, especially because he does so well in some subjects but struggles with others. definitely had no plans of getting into medicine. he’s good at sports but not enough to make it a career. he’s funny but not enough to make that his whole personality.
as soon as he’s away from his family and from the pressure he feels, he becomes a different person with a looser outlook on life, someone who’s always up for a fun time
definitely the type of person who has his found family and appreciates them with everything in him
it was actually a friend of his that made him realize music could actually be a full-time career instead of just something he enjoyed everyday, and taught him everything he knew when it came to producing music
he’d spend hours with his headphones on, trying to make something great even greater. majority of his day is just listening to music
imagine his child-like glee when he realized you could make music out of anything (think charlie puth making music out of the sound his squeaky cabinet door made)
he’s used to that fast life tbh like he has a hard time saying no especially when it comes to his friends
you’d think he’d make better choices especially after he got in the passenger seat one night when both he and his buddy were drunk and they almost crashed but nope
his music studio is based up in boston but he comes back to nightrest all the time
he’s taking some time off after a scandal got out that he sleeps with a few of the female artists he works with
PERSONALITY TRAITS
+ passionate, adventurous, spirited
- dismissive, argumentative, cocky
FUN FACTS
is a lover of cars. the faster, the better
his own porsche (his favorite out of all of them) has been customized to his taste, but he also owns a mclaren
has been lowkey known to participate in road racing but nobody can prove it
always, always up for a good time. can usually be found at medusa every night tbh
makes it rain at sirens all the time too tbh
never backs down from a dare
not much of a relationship person tbh he’s usually been more into flings and hookups than anything else
loves to go jogging
is always down at the beach too like it’s not california weather but he’ll take it
is incredibly successful with his music tbh like he has worked on some really good songs, but he still can’t shake off the feeling that he’s still not up to his family’s standards because it’s not in a “respectable” field like medicine or law or engineering
literally no one has made him feel like that other than himself but it’s still something he struggles with tbh and still something he doesn’t really talk about often
will say yes to all the vices - drugs, alcohol, smoking, etc.
big ass man but he has a small hotdog dog (hehe hotdog dog) he loves with his whole heart. spoils the heck out of her too
WANTED CONNECTIONS
siblings (wc can be found on the main!)
ride or die

NPC - The other members of the Elite
Meta: What is Drake's relationship with the other E4 Members like?
Reminder that this is all being based off the games. The idea of Steven being the one, who put them together comes from the manga, meaning that idea is irrelevant here. Yes, he may have had a hand at picking the members, but it wasn’t something like just putting people together.
And on that note, I’m writing this with ORAS in mind. However, with a little divergence in the shape of: Each elite four member had their own keystones and mega evolutions, before Steven was even a thing in their lives.
Short answer: strictly professional.
Drake has always stood as the elite four members leader. By the time emerald rolls around, he has been keeping his title for almost over 10 years. The way he saw, and treated the other three elite members never changed.
Obviously, when he joined the pokemon League things were drastically changed. He stands amongst the oldest employees of the organisation, and he has seen countless overhauls to the composition of the Elite four sector.
Also I’m going to say it: But Flannery’s grandfather, used to work with Drake for a handful of years. Until he lost his title, to the one that succeeded him. The grandfather, isn’t Ka.bu.
Many have tried to claim Drake’s title, but none ever came close to defeating him. There are a handful of factors that also contribute to him, keeping his place there, the biggest one being his skills as a leader.
All his life being the captain of his own shipcrew, only serve as a testimony to these skills.
As such, he sees his colleagues no different from a subordinate of his shipcrew, he treats and talks to them in the same exact way he would do it on board of his ship. Albeit, with some limitations that are expected in this sort of environment.
One of these limitations - hinderings, is his illiteracy. This is a flaw, that many other members of the League, have pointed out, and use it against Drake, in an attempt to question his position;
Even though these critics haven’t done anything, to bring him down. It is easy to tell and safe to assume, how humiliating it is for him to ask for someone’s help in order to read something for him
Needless to say, but still important to mention: Not all of his time and experience as a captain, translated well - is helpful for him in the League. Drake doesn’t know how to use words, he is brute and has no filter while talking, all that he knows is to be as intimidating as possible. He isn’t someone, anyone would like to get on the bad side of. But that tactic, is bound to fail in this context
Actually, here is a difference between his shipcrew, and his elite member colleagues. And it is the fact that: Drake has never bothered or even showed any interest in getting to know his colleagues. He only knows their names, ages, their type specialties, and that’s all he needs.
Under read more, a quick view over each one of his current League colleagues
Tumblr media
Sidney: He’s a punk, young with a lot of attitude - someone who showed signs of defiance towards Drake’s orders and his figure of a leader, for their start at least. Drake makes no attempt, to hide the fact that he doesn’t fully trust on him. But, seeing how Steven still keeps him around, then surely there must be something worthwhile.
Tumblr media
Phoebe: Because of his superstitious beliefs, he feels a tad intimidated by her ability of communing with ghosts (even though in reality, it’s just the pokemon itself and not the actual ghosts- spirits of the deceased). For the most part, he tells himself that isn’t real, and never shows any signs of fear in front of her. However, it isn’t uncommon for him to feel chills run down his spine while around her.
Tumblr media
Glacia: They just can’t get along, no matter the situation. They don’t seem to agree on anything, and make it very clear that they only barely tolerate the other’s presence, a third person is always needed to try and make them stop. She’s a lady- always so graceful, whereas Drake is the exact opposite of her. This is something mostly driven out of spite from Glacia’s end, she challenged Drake in the past for his position - and despite having a type advantage, she lost. Instead of being completely dismissed by the League, she managed to land as the 3rd elite member there. She is one of the biggest critics, about Drake’s position because of his illiteracy. Needless to say, but she never got over her deafeat, and is still trying to take the leadership from him.

Repost of my old BSD meta post on the 4 main strategists of the series (so far), brought back due to the deletion of my old blog and interest from peeps!!
Plain text version under the cut (thanks to @kaus-quietis ):
Ranpo, Dazai, Fyodor and Mori are the biggest players in the large-scale strategy games in BSD, but the smarts in which they excel and the way they play their hands are widely different. As expected, they’re effective in different scenarios, perform with different methods and have different limits.
Thanks to an ask I recently got about Ranpo, I thought it may be useful to someone to set apart each of them in regards to their individual talents and styles, what they do and don’t do with their own types of genius (as best as I can discern, of course), so… here’s my rundown of the master strategists, with quick n’ easy keywords for simplicity:
RANPO: CLARITY & FORESIGHT
Ranpo’s genius is summed up with the fake ability built around it. Just like Ultra Deduction is supposed to provide him, Ranpo has the clearest of sights: when presented with a scenario, he’ll easily understand every element of it, why things are as they look and what’s beyond that. In this attention to detail and grand understanding, he’s unparalleled. His pure intelligence is the highest of all.
But it doesn’t end there. His deduction abilities also make him capable of projecting ahead, of predicting outcomes and happenings by analyzing the elements currently at hand, so he can look ahead as accurately as he can see the present. And generally, this includes people. He can understand behavior, motivation and intentions just as well as he can make any of his other calculations.
However, he uses this clarity and this foresight usually to expose culprits, to achieve confessions by confrontation or to work on his team’s strategies, but not as a means to control that person. He understands the human element of the equation terrifyingly well, as he understands everything, but doesn’t aim to manipulate it. (Unless, as he explained with Mushitarou, unless it’s absolutely necessary and he’s very very pissed, in which case he’s not entirely against psychological attack, but in general his benign moral alignment and his blunt approach to people don’t mix with that.) Actually, this respect he has for life in general and this upright intention can be considered a secondary skill of his, because they’re the reason his confrontations tends to end with people getting something out of the experience of opposing him and ending up as new strong allies, like Minoura, Poe and Mushitarou did.
DAZAI: FORESIGHT & MANIPULATION
Dazai’s style has a big part in common with Ranpo’s, yeah. Namely, his ability to get ahead of the game by (understanding and) predicting, though in his case, it’s focused largely on behavior, on people in general. That’s where he differs and also where he excels: people. He strategizes a lot based on his ability to tell what individual people will do, how they’ll react, how they’ll think, what they’ll go for or how they’re likely to do it. In a game of strategy where personal motivation and individual wishes move the pieces so much, it’s a fantastic specialty.
This people-based focus shows its full capacity in his manipulation skill. Understanding others so well, it’s easy for him to prepare the stage and move the people through it without even having to tell them what he needs them to do (see: the entirety of Dead Apple haha). He just needs to set the conditions; the pieces will move on their own, in ways he can be prepared for. And if closer intervention is needed… well, part of his manipulation skill is in his charm and his capacity to act, so he can certainly get what he wants out of a person that way, too: with an encounter, a couple of words or a seemingly natural action. More often than not, people manipulated by Dazai will fail to realize they’ve been manipulated, or will only see it when it’s too late/there are no other options.
It’s worth noting that Dazai is very flexible; his intelligence by itself is very high and he has a lot of useful extra skills, like enough physical dexterity to get him out of trouble to a degree, lockpicking/pickpocketing and laying traps, but these are kind of like bonuses. They make him more versatile and capable, but aren’t his main thing.
FYODOR: (DESTRUCTIVE) MANIPULATION & TEMPTATION
It’s probably no surprise to anyone if I say that Fyodor’s style has similarities to Dazai’s haha, but still, yeah. They’re indeed very similar. Like Dazai, he also has a base intelligence level that’s just insanely high (though both to a lower degree than Ranpo, as far as we’ve seen in the midst of the DoA arc) and his own extra skills, such as his capacity as a hacker. This is utilized as an available tool for his schemes, but is also not the main basis they’re built on.
The manipulation keyword is shared between him and Dazai, and in the main gist of it, works the same: understanding people, being able to get into their heads and through that, either implant in them new decisions that fit his agenda in such a way that the person won’t realize they’ve been led, or let them act in their natural way if convenient. Leading a person this or that way as pawns on a chess board. However, there’s a big difference between how Dazai and Fyodor do this, which is what I mean with destructive manipulation: once Fyodor utilizes someone, he’ll usually not even leave the chance to have a new enemy or even a witness, instead he’ll dispose of the person (see: Karma). If not, the way he executes his needs is uncaring, and likely to leave the manipulated person broken; once he’s set up his use, he doesn’t care about their wellbeing or what happens with them (see: Shibusawa). His process of utilization may even involve breaking them (see: Goncharov). He doesn’t take care of his toys.
As for the temptation keyword, it’s the other part of his usual method, so characteristic of him that it stands out to me. Rather than being a huge charmer and an actor like Dazai is, Fyodor is a deal-maker. He finds what someone wishes for or needs (even being capable of isolating them or manipulating conditions to create such a need), and then simply presents it to them as a tempting bargain in exchange for whatever he needs. Sigma, Shibusawa and Mushitarou are big and clear examples.
MORI: STRATEGY & ASSET USE
And then we have Mori, unique even among this small group. His style is mainly what I can only describe as strategy itself, pure and led by logic and probability; theory of game, in a way. Mori also has a great deal of intelligence, combined with a level head that allows him to make sure to act, in every instance, in the way that benefits him (or rather, his organization, since he’s playing for the Port Mafia overall) the most; if unclear, then what has the highest chance of success with the best balance of risk will do. He’s able to understand and foresee enough to determine what that beneficial course of action will be.
Then, there’s his asset use, or what can be called the skill of command. Mori’s method is not independent, he’s the leader of a strong and unified organization (because he’s shaped it so), and as such, will most often be using his various divisions and subordinates and their talents. Seeing what someone is good for and leading them to the role in which their capacities can grow and shine is a true commander’s quality, and he possesses it. Gauging who and what he can dispose of and when to sacrifice is included, as is having a balance of when to control and when to let his subordinates act on their own. Be it goods, influences, situations, persons or anything, seeing what’s available and how it can be matched and used to higher advantage has been part of his modus operandi from the past, all the way to the present.
I hope these explanations put it into good perspective, but I’ll point out, for good measure, that asset use and manipulation are different things. Both involve using people as pawns, but when it comes to asset use, there’s an element of willingness and trust from the subordinates involved that sets it apart. Mori seems to be the hardest one to understand in general, with the most confusion and misinterpretation around him and what he does since he’s controversial to some, but following the principles of benefit and strategy, his genius can easily end up being the clearest.
As always, this is merely my interpretation and a rundown of the ideas I personally use to track of each of the strategists’ characterization. As much as I try to base my reasoning on canon as best as I can, I’m never claiming to have the final word. Grab this if it’s useful for you! But always take with a grain of salt.

Did anyone else feel a sense of loneliness, loss even, after a two week wait for more CBS Ghosts?
... me neither! Now let’s watch “Alberta’s Fan.”
- Ohh, hey, a kid who can see the ghosts! One of the workers who’s fixing the house brings his son, David, along. David calls Isaac a pirate because of how he’s dressed, which I think is super cute. Ohh, I love Thorfinn’s detail on how some children have imaginary friends who are actually ghosts. I love that.
- According to Hettie, an “angel-voiced servant” sang her to sleep when she was a girl. Thorfinn says his name was Gordon. This’ll be important later.
- A historian comes to visit because he’s studying Alberta Haynes. (I’m gonna add later details in parentheses from future me) He’s writing a book on her life and career. (Turns out it’s gonna be a self published book) He studies jazz musicians, but Alberta is his specialty, and he even works at a museum dedicated to her in Altoona, Pennsylvania (turns out the museum is based in his mom’s garage). He suspects foul play in her death, which is greatly debated among historians. (now that we know the other details, I don’t know if I can trust this guy.)
Ok, as you could probably tell from future me (who is also the me writing this note), this guy turns out to be super duper creepy and obsessed with Alberta. Mildly amusing shenanigans ensue.
- Ohh, Alberta stayed at the Woodstone house because she couldn’t stay at a motel when she performed in the area (”You know, racism.”) I always wondered if she had lived there or not.
- Guy pays $500 to stay at the house as their first bed and breakfast guest.
- In the B plot, Thorfinn wants to spend more time with Hettie, but Hettie doesn’t want to. She firmly believes that they aren’t the type of people who would be friends outside of the “friend group,” and barely contributes to whatever discussions she tries to have with him. I was immediately interested in this, as character dynamics are what keep this house from feeling like a container for stock characters. I also liked seeing Thorfinn be friendly and reach out, while Hettie resists because she believes that she’d only get along with a certain kind of person. This feels in character for them, and sets the B plot up well.  We’ll get back to this in a later note...
- After Todd (the historian) pays $500 to stay at Woodstone House, Jay thinks the feeling of running a bed and breakfast “feels weird.” Admittedly, this is because Todd, personally, is weird; also, not being officially open yet means that Woodstone does not yet have the resources needed to accommodate people. Even so, I STILL can’t let go of the fact that Jay put himself in this situation because Sam was in a coma and couldn’t agree to this WHILE THEY WERE FIGHTING. Will these feelings of mine last forever? We’ll see.
- Pete brings up travel agents, and Sam tells him that they don’t exist anymore because everyone arranges their own travel. Do travel agents actually not exist now? I mean, I guess I don’t see them around, but I never thought that they had been made obsolete.
- Fun fact: Pete is colorblind.
- At one point, Hettie says, “I’m gonna level with you, Thorfinn.” This definitely doesn’t sound like dialogue that someone from her time period would say. Although she could’ve just picked it up from someone else in the house.
- Alberta’s father was a chef. They lived above the restaurant they worked in. (”He could’ve had his own restaurant but, you know, racism.”)
- Oh god, Todd’s got Alberta’s toenail. He got it online. He wants to clone her. He wants to end up with her. Wow, AND he’s got a back tattoo of her HEAD. I wanna know what specifically he loves about her music that made him this obsessed. (Also, I’m only just now realizing that we really haven’t heard that much of Alberta’s music. We’ve heard her sing a TINY bit, but that’s it.)
- Aww, Thorfinn is comforting David (the little boy from earlier; wow, we just forgot he was there until now) and singing him to sleep. And he turns out to be “Gordon”, the man who sang Hettie to sleep when she was little and could see ghosts. I already liked how this show uses the fact that some of these ghosts would have witnessed the lives of the others (this happens in the BBC show as well), but this takes it a whole other level with actual interactions.
- There’s a really touching moment where Alberta tells Isaac why she puts so much importance in her being remembered. Her dad couldn’t achieve his dreams because of the racism of their time, but that didn’t stop him from supporting his daughter’s goals. He told her that she could be a star. I really love this scene. It’s exactly the kind of character moment I love, especially since it’s not undercut by a bad joke getting shoved in the middle of it.
- According to the ghosts, there’s a fairly low chance that people become ghosts. Isaac says maybe five percent. That’s an interesting fact.
- I just wanted to mention this funny exchange:
Alberta: We’ll sleep when we’re dead!
Pete: Why do we sleep?
- More B plot notes: Thorfinn was called “Gordon” because Hettie couldn’t say "Thorfinn” when she was younger, and he thought it was cute.
Now here’s another great character moment: Thorfinn reveals that he was so excited when Hettie died because he wanted to catch up, just like old times. He thought he would be getting his friend back. But she didn’t remember him, and immediately considered him off-putting. Hettie finally thanks him for being there for her when no one else was. It’s a super sweet moment, one that I didn’t expect before this episode started, but that still felt real and earned by the time it arrived.
“Gordon miss Hettie. Welcome back.” This line from Thorfinn literally made me go “awwwwww.”
- I’m glad Jay is apologizing for freaking out earlier about the B&B stuff. Maybe one day, it’ll get to the point where I won’t keep bringing up how he put himself in this situation. ... maybe.
- Woah, an interesting development! Todd had to be taken to the hospital after mysteriously falling ill. (Some of the ghosts and Jay blamed this on Sam feeding Todd chicken that was at its expiration date. ... not PAST the date. AT the date. Like, it turns out that the chicken didn’t do it anyway, but I was still annoyed because the chicken was also frozen. It looked like Sam got it from the freezer. So it has two reason for being perfectly fine and not giving Sam shit.)
Anyway, the culprit turned out to be a bottle of moonshine that was in Alberta’s old trunk .... and it was POISONED with strychnine! She WAS murdered! The plot thickens!
- Aww, more people are listening to Alberta’s work now because of this exposure. (Todd was interviewed at the hospital by a news channel) She reads comments on the Internet about how her singing is amazing. She feels her father would be so proud of her, and starts dancing around the room to celebrate. This is yet another character moment that I love, and it reminds me of Flower learning about how her boyfriend went on to honor her memory after her death. I hope we see more of the ghosts finding closure and/or success despite being dead.
Honestly, this episode might be my favorite so far. It has a great selection of sweet character moments, and its cringey sitcom jokes, while not absent, felt dialed back somewhat. I hope the CBS show keeps going in this direction.
Let me know if you guys agree!

The Road to Hell (is Paved with Good Intentions)
“Season 8 was well underway, and the server’s first conflict is bubbling just under the surface. But BDoubleO can’t worry about that right now because he has an Etho to find so they can work on the Horse Course together. However when Xisuma calls a surprise server meeting on behalf of EvilXisuma, BDubs gets his answers about where Etho’s been in the worst way possible.”
(CW: angst, blood, gore) <--- later chapters, this one’s clean.
Welcome to my first attempt at Ethoslab angst! I wanted an nHo-centric fic with a heavy dose of Etho angst. I have nowhere else to post this, and fair warning I am terrible at characterizations, so everyone will probably be a bit OOC to some extent; but for sure EvilX will be very OOC in how evil he is in this one. The Rating for the later chapters is a solid M, so be warned about that. If y’all have suggestions or feedback, feel free to come and say hi! P.S. I got my inspiration for this fic from this fic over here! Give them some love too.
Chapter 2 / Chapter 3 / Chapter 4 / Chapter 5 / Chapter 6 / Chapter 7
Chapter 1 (below the cut)
BDoubleO was worried.
Now, it wasn’t often he worried, particularly about Etho. Especially after the shenanigans from Season 5 with the nHo, and their many years of collaboration after that, he was well aware that Etho had a habit of disappearing for weeks on end. Even when he was supposed to be helping with a bit of collaboration work like the Horse Course, he was infamous for suddenly disappearing for a week, and coming back acting like nothing had happened. But even still, Etho usually left a note, or told someone about where he was going so they at least knew when to approximately expect him to show back up. This time though, Etho hadn’t even left Iskall a note, and so far this season he had made sure to at least leave a note for Iskall since they were sharing a base. (BDoubleO had asked Iskall 3 days after the last time he had seen Etho to ask if he knew where Etho was. Iskall didn’t know, though he had seen him 2 days previously puttering around their shared base as normal.) He had asked around the other Hermits, seeing if anyone had heard anything. The only one that had seen anything was Beef, who had said he had seen Etho lurking on the edges of his territory heading toward the top of BDubs’ mountain with a spyglass about a day and a half ago. Doc had mentioned that while he hadn’t seen Etho recently, he had heard that Etho had been busy in talks with Xisuma and Evil Xisuma over something. However, when BDubs questioned Xisuma, he said he hadn’t seen Etho since the last major server meeting. (It was always disconcerting when Hermits’ stories didn’t match up, as that usually meant there were shenanigans afoot. But BDubs couldn’t figure out why there would be shenanigans afoot, because this was just Etho.)
A whinny from Lulu beneath him startled BDubs out of his worries. Looking around he realized that they were already staring up at Xisuma’s lighthouse and general base area. Why were they there you might ask? (A theoretical from a theoretical, truly meta of him, aha) WELL, Xisuma had sent out a message to the server that everyone should come and gather at his base for an important something. BDubs was confused, and very concerned, that Xisuma was insisting on the meeting being in person. After all, any news could be dispensed through the Server messages, and all their bases were known, so boards could be placed at bases for Hermits to see as they came in and out. Meeting in person was never technically necessary, though it made it generally easier to talk with each other since they didn’t have to type everything out. The point stood however, that unless it was an emergency, Xisuma never called a general Hermit assembly outside of their regularly scheduled monthly meetings.
Looking around, BDubs was able to see that Beef was already there, along with most of the Boatem Crew, and surprisingly enough, the Horsehead Farms guys were there as well. Of course, Doc was on his way, and last he heard, the Big Eye crew was following up behind him since they both had been busy when the announcement had gone out. The rest of the server would be on their way because of how far out they were. (Part of BDubs wondered if those who were coming in later were the lucky ones. The rest of him wondered why he was so filled with anxiety and so certain this meeting was only going to be terrible.) Deciding nothing good would come of dwelling on the negatives, he made his way over to where Beef (who was looking more unrecognizable by the day as the alien contamination overtook him) was standing alone, seemingly keeping his eye out for someone or something.
“Hey Beef!” BDubs called out, smiling and waving as he approached. Beef looked over at the sudden shouting of his name, and instantly relaxed as he saw BDubs approaching. “Hey BDubs!” he called back, something alien layered under his normal voice. (It spoke of void and distant stars, though Tango had recently been saying it reminded him more of sulfur and brimstone). “You know anything about why Xisuma’s called this meetup?” asked Beef before BDubs could ask the question himself.
“Not a clue,” BDubs replied, allowing his concern to show through as he stood ill-at-ease beside his friend. “He just announced he had something he wanted to show or talk to us about I guess, though I can’t imagine what it could be about.” Well, BDubs had a guess or two, but none of them were generally pleasant topics of conversation, outside of some surprise announcement for the next server update to 1.18.
“Darn, I was hoping you would have heard something…” said Beef, his own unease easy to read. BDubs shrugged, looking around at the other groups of players standing outside the Lighthouse. It looked like even in the short time they had been greeting each other, the other Big Eyed Crew had arrived on his tailwind. An awkward pause settled between the two of them, both having been so tied up in their own shenanigans to really know what the other had been up to. BDubs debated bringing up the obvious, but it seemed like one of those things you don’t necessarily bring up. But then again…
“Yo Beef,” said BDubs, turning to look at Beef again. Beef startled out of his momentary reverie. “You’ve been looking pretty, uh… green recently. How’s that been treating you?”
For a moment Beef looked almost confused, before he seemed to connect the dots and snorted. “Oh yeah, it’s been treating me great, as you can see.” They both chuckled a bit at his sarcasm before he continued. “But in all seriousness, I hadn’t really been noticing it. I mean, I definitely notice that people have been giving me a wider berth this season, which hasn’t been great for business since I have a great idea for selling specialty cat food I can make on my alien ship. I haven’t personally noticed too many changes outside my appearance thus far however.” After a moment Beef said, “So how about you? How have Keralis and Tango been treating you this season?”
BDubs chuckled. “Would you believe it if I told you it’s been going great? I have a mountain already, and we have a small bay town we’re building up to serve as a shopping district for our Big Eye Crew. Plus, we got Tango to actually make his eyes big, so it’s a win all around! Though I’ve been noticing more Derpcoin sneaking into our shops…”
“Hey now, what’s wrong with Derpcoin?!” exclaimed Beef, looking vaguely offended. BDubs was startled by this, completely not expecting such an outburst from Beef of all people.
“I mean, there’s nothing necessarily wrong with it, it’s just I have no idea what the conversion rate is on the stuff, so I don’t know what people are paying in my shop for the items they’re buying,” replied BDubs. “Plus, there’s nowhere to use it.”
“But there is a place to use it! You could use it at EX’s Evil Emporium. Plus, with more people signing up for Derpcoin, it seems like a lucrative market to sell in,” countered Beef, a strange gleam in his eyes. “EX was nice enough to give me an in into his Derpcoin shopping district, so I’ll have a storefront through the Evil Emporium.”
"Evil Emporium huh?" BDubs made a considering noise. "Heard a little bit about it back when EX was doing a little sales pitch in our neck of the woods. Seems pretty fishy to me, but if you think it's a trustworthy establishment, I'll definitely give it a second look."
"Attention everyone!" called out Xisuma, suddenly standing in the center of the gathered Hermits. "Your attention please!" BDubs looked over to where X was waving everyone over. He noticed that X seemed abnormally forward, though that could be attributed to his paranoia. Afterall, X wasn’t one to cause problems! Sure he had been trying to get people on board with this Evil Emporium thing pretty hard, but X couldn’t hurt a fly even on a good day, so BDubs wondered if this wasn’t about Derpcoin.
He had been hearing from the other Big-Eyed crew that tensions between Boatem and the Derpcoin empire had been slowly escalating over the last week or so. Plus he had been hearing about more of the unaffiliated Hermits beginning to create close ties with EX’s brand, embracing Derpcoin as their main currency even! On the other hand, he’d been hearing from some of the Boatem people about how they were getting sick and tired of finding Derpcoin in their shops, and seemingly some people were beginning to refuse to pay for items with diamonds… There was a mess brewing for sure in the background this season, it just seemed like an issue that could wait till the next monthly meeting is all.
With a jolt, BDubs was brought back to the present as Doc bumped him in the shoulder. “How are you doing BDubs? Looking pretty lost in thought there, big guy.”
“Well, doing pretty good if you must ask!” BDubs puffed up with the compliment on his height, despite knowing it was more than likely meant in a sarcastic manner. Between Doc and Etho, BDubs never really could catch a break. “You just get here then?”
Doc let out a rumbly hum in agreement. “Yesss, though I have no idea why Xisuma called the meeting. Know anything?”
BDubs and Beef both shook their heads. “We’re in the dark as much as you are, it seems,” replied Beef, moving towards the other Hermits to try and get their little group to walk and talk.
“I have a theory though!” continued BDubs, leaning in to act somewhat more conspiratorially. Doc leaned in a bit more than he needed to, getting a friendly bump on the head from Beef. “See, I’m sure you’ve both heard a bit more than I have about Boatem vs the Evil Emporium. I think things might be heating up enough between the two that X might be forced to intervene soon.” BDubs rubbed the back of his neck. “Admittedly, it still seems like the kind of thing that he would bring up in the monthly meeting instead of an impromptu meeting like this.”
“Looks like we don’t have to wait long to find out in any case.” Beef gestured at the surrounding Hermits and Xisuma himself still standing at the center looking official as usual. (Though BDubs thought he looked a little dazed, but he shoved the thought aside.)
“Thank you everyone for taking time out for this meeting!” called out Xisuma, his face still disconcertingly empty. “I’ve called you together today because EX had a stream he wanted us all to watch, and I agree it is most imperative we all watch it together.”
BDubs did not like the sound of this one bit. “What’s the stream about?” called Joe from the opposite side of the crowd.
“Yeah, why’s it so important we all have to watch it?” asked Cleo from beside him. BDubs realized that those two had had to travel across the entire continent to come to the meeting, and Joe was still renouncing wings, so taking long trips was a distinct hassle. At the very least, it was far more time consuming than everyone else’s trips had been, minus potentially XB and Hypno’s trip.
Xisuma seemed to stand there taking it silently, which was not necessarily outside of the usual, but his response certainly was. “With that out of the way, I’ll get the screen set up, and then we can watch EX’s stream!” ‘That was strange,’ thought BDubs as he looked around the circle of bewildered Hermits. Normally X would try to answer questions, or at least let them know things precisely before he did them. It was incredibly out of character that he would just ignore Joe and Cleo like that… Particularly Joe and Cleo if BDubs was to be brutally honest. Those three had been closer than three peas in a pod since Season 2, and Joe and X had known each other pretty well since almost the start of Season 1. To have those two brushed off by Xisuma struck a wrong chord.
BDubs was pulled back to the present as Xisuma rapidly typed into his communicator, and a holographic screen projected just beyond the circle of Hermits behind where Cub was standing. Almost as one, the Hermits turned to look at it, curiosity overpowering any potential feelings of lingering confusion and discomfort.
Xisuma’s expression was blank as the large screen buzzed to life in front of them. However, BDubs’ watched as he seemed to come back to himself just as the static on the screen cleared and the assembled hermits gasped in disbelief and horror.
‘Well,’ thought BDubs to himself, dread rising like a wave about to swallow him whole. ‘Now we know where Etho went.’ For there on the screen, looking the worst BDubs had ever seen him, was a restrained Etho beside a seemingly gleeful EvilXisuma.

Hi~
I'm curious about what you think a Hamefura-GBF crossover would look like ^^
Tumblr media
OP YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE AWAKENED IN ME WITH THIS QUESTION AJSHGJAHSGD
As a fan of both I've always created different ideas in my mind of what a GBF-Hamefura collab would be like!! I'm not really creative enough to be able to drop some fan-made collab name ideas or a full premise for the collab's plot, just some random tidbits of fun ideas I thought of.
// warning: very minor spoilers for the novels/fortune lover 2
For how Katarina and the gang gets into the world of Granblue Fantasy, I think it would be really cool if it combines something like the Shadowverse collab where they are just thrown into the world without much explanation (maybe playing it out like another Book of Desires-type thing where Katarina stumbles upon a magic tool that sends them all there) and the Love Live Muse collab where it's kinda just a dream. Not that I want Katarina to dream the entire thing, I just find it really funny how in the Manga Bonus SS, Katarina immediately figures out that she's in a dream and just plays along, which would make her nonchalance about being thrown into another world funny and make sense (for her at least). Maybe in the end it could be revealed to be a dream all along, like the Love Live and most recent Deresute collab.
For the plot itself, I'm not really good at coming up up anything new, all I can think of is making something similar to existing collabs and events qwq. It would really funny if the primal beast behind everything is one who is gluttonous, and Katarina beats them in a competition of iron stomachs (like the Priconne collab and Eating Bonanza Summer event). Or have the event story end with Katarina confronting and talking down a humanoid primal beast and charming him into surrender post-battle, something similar to how she won over Raphael (imagine how funny it would be for Keith to smack his head and sigh, as Katarina continues to charm more people, and a primal beast at that XDD).
Maybe even something like the Code Geass collab where at the same time Katarina and the gang end up in the Sky Realm, the crew is on a quest to find a criminal who is stirring trouble in an island, and that criminal had a striking resemblance to Katarina (or an FL2!Katarina). Like that other Katarina is just an illusion created by a primal beast in order to hide his identity, not really basing the image on anyone specific but just creating someone based on the perfect image of a scheming villainess lmao (and being surprised after finding out that the very girl does exist). Cue confusion from the crew and the harem, while Katarina feels both pride and fear over being called the spitting image of a villainess hgfjhsdgf.
You can even make the plot something like the GBF SideM collab + Hamefura Pirates, where the situation they are in is actually from a Fortune Lover x GBF collab (that Katarina dreams Acchan playing/was mentioned to her once in passing) that somehow (???) has ties to Katarina's fate in FL2.
And please, I would love a quick scene of everyone dining with the crew, and everyone comments on Katarina and Lyria's black hole of a stomach XDD
It would kinda be cool if Katarina had a moment where she uses Phalanx, since VOD showed us that there are shield-type spells in hamefura (canonicity is debatable though) but I guess since Nico already did that in the Love Live collab that'd be copying/too similar haha).
For the event rewards, Katarina would join your party after Chapter2 of course :DD By then she would have met the crew. The other playable characters depends on who you ask to be honest. I don't want to sound mean or anything to the fans of the girls, but when I first encountered the question, my mind immediately went the NinSwitch otome game and how all the boys are the capturable characters. Since HameFura clearly favors the Katarina + the boys in the marketing, I thought realistically that if there was a collab, the playable characters would be them. That would be 5 playable characters though, which might be a lot so I guess a good alternative is a Playable Katarina, Geordo, Keith and maybe Maria too. Combining the three girls into a single unit wouldn't be likely, I think it's more realistic to assume they would be the event summon instead (or at least have a cameo in Katarina's victory animation)
(LOOK I EVEN MADE SOME QUICK EDITS/MOCKUPS, DO YOU SEE HOW EXCITED I AM ABOUT THIS QUESTION HGJHSDGF)
Tumblr media
Katarina would be a Dark SSR (sorry if that's considered as a spoilers to anyone qwq) whose attacks also inflict a partial earth damage. She would be an attack-type character with a sabre and axe specialty (axe because hoe haha). I just can't imagine her being an Earth Character unless Keith isn't playable, because then I guess she could just inflict partial dark damage via casted debuffs in order to reference FL2. She's probably mostly has attack skills that either gives buffs or increases her charge bar. Katarina would get a 5 star uncap in the next event rerun :P
Tumblr media
Geordo would be a Fire SSR with a sabre specialty. He's be an attack-type character who specializes in Attack/Support. Spoilers to the light novels kinda, but I imagine Geordo to have a special third skill that gives him lots of buffs but either debuffs him & kills him eventually (like Dark Jeanne) or sacrifices his HP (like Fire Yuisis) as a reference to Volume 8, where he's a bit unhinged when he's angry and will use his fire magic lethally to anyone who harms his friends.
Tumblr media
Keith would be an Earth SSR with a sabre and staff specialty. He would be Special character, acting as a Support/Debuffer. I imagine that he could have his own personal buff called "Earth Dolls" that get consumed each turn, and having a lot would increase the damage of his charge attack. I know the picture says katana instead of staff, I'm just too lazy to edit it again :'))
Tumblr media
Alan would be a Water SSR with a sabre and gun specialty (why gun? he uses a gun in the hamefura fantasy au so :DD). He'd be a balanced-type character who is an Attacker/Defender. I imagine he'd be like SSR Romeo, who is good for defense but is preferably used to deal some damage (or at least that's how I use him lmao).
Tumblr media
Nicol would be a Wind SSR with a sabre and bow specialty (bow because wind element :DD). He would be a defense-type character who specializes in Defense/Support. Either lands some good debuffs (Def Down, Debuff Success Boosted, Blind, Gravity and CHARM OF COURSE) or has Substitute Ally. Most likely the prior. I know that sounds like he should be a special-type character instead so I'm suggesting he should have a skill with Shield and Immune in a single package.
Tumblr media
I imagine the girls to be an event summon together (in my hypothetical scenario where the boys are the playable characters) where they give random buffs (like 3-6 buffs depending on the lvl and uncap). I imagine that they would have a special Call Effect with Katarina, giving her more buffs or a special buff meant just for her :DD
In the event that Maria is a playable character, she would be a Light SSR who has a staff specialty. She would be a Heal-type character who specializes in Support. Her skills could have stuff like a heal that activates for a few turns, light def-down and a def-up to name a few.
Tumblr media
The event SSR weapon would be a "Doom Flag" of course! It blends perfectly with the dozen other flag-looking spear weapons in the game XDD
My ideas for the SR weapon would either the "Doom Avoidance Strategy Book" which would be a Dark Melee weapon, or a smaller "Bad End Doom Flag" which would be a Fire Dagger (haha get it, because Geordo Bad End :)).
Hahaha that's all I can really think of when it comes to a collab. If you want me to talk about a Hamefura RPG AU, but with GBF classes/races then I can make a whole other post for that sjkfhdsk i've always wanted to draw/imagine the hamefura characters wearing job classes & magic from GBF!
Imagine Mary wearing the Dancer/Masquerade class outfit, Maria in the Doctor class, Alan in the Elysian class, Nicol in the Cavalier/Robin Hood class, Geordo in the Glorybringer class, Keith in the Relic Buster class (as a reference for him being a black knight in the manga bonus ss), Sophia in the Warlock/Asparas class, and Katarina in the Chrysaor/Lumberjack class!!
If anyone would like to add with more collab ideas, I would love to hear it!!!!
Anyways, thank you for the ask :DD

It’s about time that I talk more about the second fanfic story that I’m working on!
WARNING: KHUX ENDING SPOILERS AHEAD
This story takes place immediately after KHUX, or at least, it takes place after Ephemer wakes up in the the flooded remains of Daybreak Town. And we all know he built Scala, right? So this story follows his journey to build Scala, among other things.
This story will also include the first Princess of Heart and all the new lore that comes with it (in fact, that’s what inspired this story in the first place), prototype Keyblade armor, learning about the importance of world order, world resets, sad key kids, lots of angst, attempts at architecture, and much more, not exactly in that order!
Of course, a fic like this requires some OCs, especially OC key kids. So I created a few to start off with and their designs are up above! Lemme tell you about them because I love them so much now and they’re all actually pretty cool and they’re a big part of this story anyways so yeah
I’ll go from left to right!
First up is Jamie! One of my friends wanted an OC in here based off of a few ideas he had, but of course, this character is so much more than that. Jamie is from Radiant Garden as a middle-class citizen of the fabled City of Light. He doesn’t have a lot of connections to people; he’s mostly busy working at his job and just trying to make ends meet. But when a chance at a better life comes in the form of a Keyblade and Ephemer, he takes the chance and leaves his world.
Jamie is usually an easy-going and confident guy, and he’s also one of the older people in this initial group of key kids. However, he also is quite short-tempered and can get angered at others easily. When in battle, he’s more of the strong, physical attacker type. So he’s a bit slower than some of the others, but of course, he’s a quite a bit stronger too. He doesn’t have much magic skill, but he’s capable of using weaker spells in a pinch. He’s definitely one of the least experienced in the group when it comes to using a Keyblade.
Next up on the list is Rand. He’s a somewhat flirty guy, who’s also kinda cocky. Sometimes, intentionally or not, he gets on other’s nerves and can be a bit of a pain to be around sometimes. And of course, he’s always teasing someone about something or another. However, deep down, he’s really not that bad of a guy, he just likes to rile people up sometimes and likes attention. He never goes out of his way to actually hurt anyone, at least on purpose. He actually really cares about his teammates and friends. I’m still working on his backstory though, especially since I’m not sure if I wanna make him an original Dandelion or if he would be a new wielder like Jamie.
Besides that though, in battle, Rand likes to use strong attacks of all varieties. Whether it’s physical or magic attacks, he likes to hit as hard as absolutely possible. Unfortunately, that does mean that his attacks take much longer to charge compared to his teammates’ attacks, but at least they can hit extremely hard. He is pretty balanced when it comes to attack and magic stats. And his specialty more specifically lies with non-elemental or more physical magic kind of attacks, such as earth and attacks similar to Ragnarok or Ripple Drive.
After Rand is the elegant Glacies. She’s well-respected among her peers, and is not only a capable warrior but is also rather good in social environments. She’s basically second-in-command—behind Ephemer—due to her capabilities. She’s also an extremely hard worker, always trying to be better and stronger on the face of her peers, but also for the sake of the worlds that she knows that they all have a duty to protect. Due to this, she sometimes snaps at her fellow teammates if she thinks that they aren’t taking their duties as Keyblade Wielders seriously, which can lead to some tension. However, she always apologizes later, and as the story goes on, learns to respect her teammates a little bit more. When not in battle, she’s honestly a pretty chill person and tries her best to help everyone else be at their best too. Glacies is a Dandelion.
Glacies specializes in elemental attacks, though of course her favorite element to use is ice. She’s also more skilled in magic attacks than she is at physical attacks, but she’s trained enough that her physical attacks can hurt if she needs them too. Her magic attacks do tend to be on the stronger side, but they aren’t as strong as Rand’s magic attacks. However, she’s very skilled at finding an enemies weak point and exploiting it with her elemental attacks, and she also casts relatively faster than Rand can.
Selene is up next! She’s a Dandelion who was in the same Union as Ephemer before the Keyblade War happened. She’s also who I have planned to be the first official Princess of Heart. Selene is a quiet but kind girl who finds pressure difficult to handle. At first, she seems a bit aloof and shy, but honestly she feels a lot of social anxiety. Even so, she’s very good at working together with her teammates, and she’s also pretty knowledgeable about the more practical uses of magic, like for teleportation and levitation and even for stuff like cooking or structures.
Selene’s combat capabilities are more attuned to the magic side, more specifically to light and status attacks. So attacks like faith, slow, haste (yes, I do mean FF haste), magnet, KH1 Aero, or cure. She’s also pretty good at physical attacks, since her status moves don’t do a lot of damage, but she’s not particularly strong in the realm of physical attacks either, so she usually has to stay back and act as more of a support role to her peers.
Last but not least is Nadia, another key kid who survived the Keyblade War. Sadly, Nadia came out as on of the most mentally scarred of the group, and she’s very cold to the others at first, even though she agreed to come along with Ephemer. Nadia does not take shit and is not here for friends. She almost believes that Ephemer shouldn’t even revive the art of the Keyblade because she doesn’t want to have to experience yet another Keyblade War, and she’s afraid that the more people know about the Keyblade, the more likely it is that something terrible will happen. Later on though, after some character development, Nadia turns out to be a good friend who isn’t afraid to give criticism or snide remarks if she feels it’s necessary. She’s jaded and scarred, but she’ll eventually do her best to heal.
Nadia is a swift physical attacker. Her attacks don’t hit as hard, but she hits fast, and she moves fast too. Her smaller stature allows her to maneuver through the battlefield with greater ease than most, and if a distraction is needed, she’s the best person for the job. She also doesn’t have as much of a defense as the others, but as mentioned, her speed more than makes up for that. She’s also surprisingly strong with really good stamina, and so she can jump higher and climb farther than most of her teammates as well.
Anyway, that’s all of the OCs! Ephemer himself is an all-rounder, able to play any kind of role that he needs to, but of course he’s not a specialist in any of them. But if one of the others is down for the count or if there are only a few of them on a mission, he can take any role that would benefit the team the most.
That’s all I’ll share about my story for now! The working title name is “The First Heart,” but I’m still trying to find something a little better lol.
I’m honestly super excited to write this story!

So, you want to make a powerful BBEG. What kind of power?
So I study leadership styles and theory for my career. Like every DnD player, I will forever circle my experiences back into how I can use them to write for my fantasy roleplaying games.
Your BBEG cannot operate by himself. Your Evil Guy needs people. He needs resources. He needs a chain of command. He needs power. And that's why I wrote this post exploring the 7 types of power, what those types of powers are, their pros and cons, and how you can use those to make the biggest, baddest, most powerful Evil Guy your players have ever seen. Skip to type 6 and 7 if you want the good stuff.
(For simplicity, I'll refer to your antagonist / ruler / BBEG / evil person as Evil Guy and use he/him pronouns.)
1. Legitimate power
The leader with legitimate power is one of a dictatorship, rank, or high position. Legitimate power has a genuine and measurable influence on how you behave simply because someone has a role, rank, position, or uniform. You listen to your manager for no reason other than that they are above you in rank. You wouldn't care what they said off the clock.
Legitimate power is flexible for your campaign because it is a power given simply because the position SAYS it has power. People listen to legitimate power because culture SAYS it has power.
However, legitimate power has its limits and flaws. Your Evil Guy is NOT powerful, his POSITION is powerful. If your Evil Guy is a king, he is no longer powerful when dethroned. If your Evil Guy is a warlord, he is no longer powerful without his army to direct. This type of power, however, is useful to use for your Evil Guy's minions. Your Evil Guy's minions simply have power because they are your Evil Guy's minions.
2. Information power
Information power comes from the possession of knowledge that others want to know. For example, "I know what the MacGuffin item is / where the key to your cell is / who is the true murderer / have prophesized the day of the apocalypse."
Information power is useful when information is exchanged mutually between your Evil Guy and your players. Additionally, your Evil Guy could also simply lie that he knows information if he wants something from the players. If your Evil Guy suddenly claims that he knows the one thing that they need, they become very compelled to listen to him rather than just drive a longsword directly through him the second he appears.
Not terribly impressive, because the power is removed once the information is known or found by other means.
3. Expert power
Not to be confused with information power, expert power is the power given genuine expertise within a given field. A great wizard, noble scholar, or cultist prophet who speaks to a dead god has expert power. People look to the expert leader for guidance and knowledge. Minions look to, respect, and follow expert leaders, because if they are the most knowledgeable at what they do, how could they be wrong?
This type of power is strong because it can be closely connected to and associated with information power or charismatic power. This Evil Guy is calculated, planned, experienced, and capable within his field. He is right just because he is the expert. Minions believe him because he is the expert. This Evil Guy isn't questioned by his minions a lot, making him strong in this way, and guarantees loyalty.
Expert power becomes weak when the Evil Guy is teaching outside his field of specialty. The great wizard isn't versed in evil magics, the noble scholar only studies within his country or never leaves comfortable palace walls, and the cultist prophet is nothing without his connection to his source of knowledge, the dead god. To take an expert's power, remove them from their field or shine a light on their incorrectness or false claims.
4. Power of Reward
The power of reward is exactly that; power over people because people are given rewards. Rewards can be position, power, fame, items, and anything that the people might want. However, most commonly money does the trick.
This kind of power is the easiest to obtain yet equally one of the weakest sorts of power. Money and fame are pretty surface-level, and it easy to outmatch with fear. I recommend doubling reward power with another type of power to strengthen your Evil Guy's influence and his options.
Reward power becomes weak when the rewards run out or the rewards start to mean nothing. No one will follow the Evil Guy if the Evil Guy runs out of riches. No one will follow the Evil guy if money won't matter when the player party just kills the minion anyways, and getting paid doesn't matter when you're dead.
5. Charismatic power
Charismatic power comes from the ability to woo, persuade, convince, and simply sound believable and trustworthy. Charismatic power can be flirtatious, playful, genuinely persuasive, clever, and smart. This type of power is acquired simply because your Evil Guy is a good speaker and a smooth talker. Charismatic power also includes the power of contact or "I know a guy" claims.
This power is pretty unique in a DnD setting. If you want your Evil Guy to have strong charismatic power, you have to bring out his sly, clever, and genuinely persuasive nature out through his action and his dialogue. You can't roll charisma or persuasion on player characters, so to make a charismatic Evil Guy, you have to actually convince and woo the characters.
An Evil guy with charismatic power is only as powerful as his connections and his convincings go. If he has nothing to offer, no claims to stand upon, or a long history of lying or betrayal, your Evil Guy's charismatic power is very limited.
6. Coercive power
Coercive power is the opposite of reward power; it is based on punishment and threat. A coercive leader can take money, position, benefits, fame, access to family, or the right to live. Coercive power is based on fear, control, and force.
This type of power is the second strongest. If minions act and behave to protect themselves, their livelihoods, families, or securities, they would likely rather die than oppose their ruler. They are incredibly afraid of stepping out of line for fear of losing what the Evil Guy threatens to take. They might not believe in the evil cause, but they would do anything to protect what can be taken from them. Additionally, your Evil Guy doesn't even need to take things in order to flex his coercive power. He simply needs to remind people that he can. He simply reminds people of what they can lose. I highly recommend coercive power for your Evil Guy, because it's incredibly hard for the players to combat at minion-level. It is likely that the players can't protect or save what the Evil Guy threatens to take, nor are they nearly as scary as the Evil Guy himself.
However, coercive power has a single fatal flaw. It only works for a certain amount of time or if the Evil Guy exhausts it. The Evil Guy will eventually run out of family members to kill, positions to threaten, or security to take. When the Evil Guy exhausts all of his coercive power, he becomes vulnerable. Quite literally, the Evil Guy has only so much to take and so much fear to impose. There's nothing more dangerous to an Evil Guy than their own minions who are tired, jaded, and vengeful. When the minions have nothing left to lose, there is no more power to hold over them.
7. Referent Power / Servant Leadership Power
Referent power is regarded as the most infallible power of every type because its singular flaw is that it takes time to develop referent power over people. Referent power is belief, trust, followership, and dedication to a leader simply because you believe in that leader. You trust that person's leadership, their judgment, experiences, and that person as who they are. Minions follow referent leaders because they care about their referent leaders and vice versa. A true referent leader puts their follower and their needs first, thus this type's second name; servant leadership.
Think about people in your life you follow, believe in, and care about just because that person does the same for you. This at its core is what a referent leader is. Therefore, an Evil Guy who genuinely, truly, and fully believes in his cause must use referent power. When your Evil Guy's cause aligns with minion beliefs, the minions will follow your Evil Guy just because they believe in the cause, truly and fully. Minions under referent power are difficult to break, because only a change in belief or perspective can waver them. Additionally, referent power can begin from nothing! Your Evil Guy could just be some dude with a belief and high charisma and he has referent power! Also, your Evil Guy can just LIE about his intentions and make himself seem he cares about belief and cause.
(A/N. Your Evil Guy using propaganda to push his beliefs / agenda is your best friend!)
As mentioned, referent power is based on personal connection and dedication, and thus takes a LOT of time to develop. It takes years to develop referent power over people because it likely takes time to make a minion's beliefs align with the Evil Guy's, especially if the Evil Guy's plan is outlandish or uncommon. It takes years to put your trust in a person. It takes years to maintain reputation and trust. Additionally, referent power can be removed if the minions suddenly see that the Evil Guy truly doesn't care about them, the cause, or the belief.

Theory Master Post:
We already know that Eda disdains the idea of Covens and being forced to join one from episode 5. While she was explaining her feeling about magic in episode 3 she believes that magic should be wild and unpredictable; definitely something that should not be controlled. But I would like to dive deeper into the potential lore and significance Eda may actually have in the Boiling Isles/Demon Realm.
Emperor Belos ordered the Blight Family (one of his most trusted Coven Members) to place the ‘CURSE’ on Eda all those years ago. The Night Star/Diamond Shape is in their Family Crest as seen at the Blight Manor. I am associating the BLIGHT Family with what seems to be their specialty; applying what their name means: AFFLICTION - CURSE, Infect, Disease, Misfortune, Woe, Scourge, Plague, Bane, Menace, Calamity, Evil, Trouble, Ordeal, Trial, Tribulation.
Tumblr media
Just like the BLIGHT Family, the CLAWTHORNE Family probably fulfills a great role within the Emperor’s Coven as well. CLAWTHORNE sounds like a family name that enforces and upholds the Emperor’s will through FORCE.
Emperor Belos is named strategically as such because in latin: the word BELLO means WAR.
Tumblr media
A clue to the CLAWTHORNE Family crest is the Giant Owl Deity on Eda’s Ceiling with the massive talons, the thorns on its horns and the Crown over it’s head. It is safe to say that the crown would symbolize the Emperor and the Clawthorne Family’s servitude to him. Expanding on that, can we expect that the triangle shapes and diamond shape on the Giant Owl’s body represents LILITH and the ranks of the Coven Guards? If so, that makes a lot of sense; LILITH has the Diamond Shaped Teal Stone over her chest and since she is the LEADER of the Coven Guards, it would symbolize the body of Emperor Belos force. Lastly, the shape of the Giant Owl Deity itself and its horns; does that symbolize Eda? ( @sepublic this might be a clue to a secondary form that Eda’s Owl Beast Form may have to take up after all, minus just having one eye. What if Eda’s Owl Beast form progresses further and becomes more feral/grows even larger?). @fermented-writers-block I can see your theory where Eda may have been destined to inherit the power of this Giant Owl Deity since she litteraly transforms into one. Is this Giant Owl Deity some sort of power the Clawthorne Family controls? Did Eda invoke its power too early? Did her mischevious/rebellious personality and chaotic nature have her prematurely inherit the power of the Owl Deity in their family or something else? If she inherited the power correctly, would she have control over the Owl Beast Form? Did she inherit this power outside of the Clawthorne Family? Maybe the curse that the Blight family and Emperor placed on her is affecting her control over this power and turns her into a feral, wild and dangerous beast. There must be another connection between the design of the Owl Deity on Eda’s living room ceiling and Owlbert’s crowning features on the wanted poster. Both Owlbert and the Mural of the Giant Owl Beast share details. Owlbert has outlined wings and in addition a FLAME OVER HIS HEAD? Judging by its placement, it is almost like a place holder for a certain crown.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On to the symbol of the Emperor’s Coven and the Crown over the Giant Owl’s head; it really feels like Eda would have represented the big set of wings with the sword as the Emperor’s enforcer/hunter. Lilith would be the defender/leader, symbolized by the smaller set of wings with the shield. Also because Lilith is consistantly reminding Eda about how they were going to join the Coven together ‘defending the dreams they had since they were younger’. Eda always ‘cut’ that mindset when she scoffs or laughs about it.
Tumblr media
Since one of the two sisters (Eda) may have already been predetermined to join the Emperor’s Coven because of their family’s position/legacy, it would make sense that Eda would have been cursed right before she could graduate from Hexside when she rebelled (explains why Eda said she didn’t finish school. Besides, that’s why she crafted her own staff and made Owlbert 🦉). Take it like a family of knights that have been serving the King and Queen’s court for generations with family members joining straight out of squire training, knight training, ect. But in this case the Emperor’s Coven really wanted Eda for her natural talent and power despite Lilith’s hard work and dedication.
Tumblr media
There are probably some communities of Giants, Demons, dezidens that oppose the Emperor. Because of how powerful Demons can seem to be on the Boiling Isles according to King’s Demons 101 class; Emperor Belos needs the Clawthorne Family to keep the demons and dezidens that violate/threaten his will/rule in line. Does Emperor Belos need the Clawthorne Family to be the Sword and Sheild in his court to fight them? What if Eda found out that she was going to be heading down this path to continue doing what her family has been for generations? What if this path took away what she thought was what she wanted for herself?
What she thought the Emperor’s Coven was like:
• Keep access to all types of magic
• Be part of the Elite force in society
• Have the freedom to perform any magic because she proved that she is privileged enough based on school performance.
What Eda really found out:
• The Emperor lets you have all access to magic, but you have restrictions and limiters because your magic will be used under his terms.
• You have to fight through the ranks to earn certain privileges and follow the rules like you would in law enforcement or a military like structure.
• You are not privileged to express your identity unless you are the Emperor’s Ideal model among your peers.
• You have to bring in dezidens that do not fit in society. For example: any bizarre or off-standish behavior or habits deemed offensive to the Emperor must be conformed. Anyone who resists will be punished.
Maybe Eda didn’t like the idea of becoming an obedient monster to enforce Emperor Belos authority. If anything she could probably relate to the Demons and other dezidens because she is just as mischievous and wild like they are. In addition, Eda cannot conform to their social system: being forced to learn magic the “proper” way. Eda is a naturally powerful, talented prodigy; she just is so in tune with it. According to Eda: “Magic isn’t proper, it’s wild and unpredictable. And that’s why it’s so beautiful.” Another potential fact is that, Eda herself knew that she is considered to be a primary candidate to the Empoeror’s Coven over Lilith. How was that fair to her younger sister? To be predetermined to join as if it was her right and responsibility? Lilith who wanted this responsibility so much more than Eda made it even worse. So how does the Older sister place the needs and desires of her younger sister first? Rebel, reject the responsibility and make herself as unqualified to join the Emperor’s Coven. Eda finally understood what it means to be part of the Emperor’s Coven, she defiantly went against what society (her family, the school, the community and the Emperor’s Coven) expected from her as she understood how rigged and autocratic/totalitarian the Coven system truely was. Eda concluded her decision about joining the Emperor’s Coven; if only one of them can join, it would be Lilith that really deserved it and Eda can live her life as she wants; covenless. Because of that decision, Eda was punished, Emperor Belos gave the order; the Blight Family opened a portal with that specific door and cast the CURSE on her with a specialized set of runes, a sigil or an artifact provided by Emperor Belos himself. So that means; if they cursed Eda with unique magic Emperor Belos provided, then that means that the Blight Family can’t break or undo it themselves in the future even if they wanted to. Say that they want to help Eda later down the road; even though they may have cast it, Emperor Belos may be the only one that could break it.
Irony of fate: Either way, Eda is fated for DOOM, it will only be a matter of time before LILITH will have to also take the role EDA was initially going to inherit. EDA was going to become the HUNTER as LILITH, the LEADER, pointed the way. Because If Eda’s CURSE took COMPLETE hold, she would become a DEMON just like in King’s lesson and be HUNTED by the Emperor’s Coven, on the receiving end of what her role was to be.
Now when Eda started to show signs of changing (hair starting to grey, the golden fang prominently sticking out of her right side of her mouth), she tried to hide it. But it was only a matter of time before her parents found out (Lily probably found out first but kept it a secret in respect for Eda). But when the rest of the Clawthorne Famliy realized that they couldn’t do anything to lift Eda’s curse; especially if it involved Emperor Belos, they placed Eda in the tower to contain it.
Tumblr media
They did this to try and convince Eda to reconsider her choice. They wanted Eda to reflect her decision and give in to joining the Emperor’s Coven so that she may be pardoned and have her curse lifted by Emperor Belos. They justified that they did all of this to ensure that she wouldn’t be a danger to those around her if and when she fully transformed into the Owl Beast. What was worse was that they probably used an enchantment to hide this tower from plain sight (can you imagine how embarrassed they must have felt and how angry Eda must have been?). However, her rage, her determination to stay by her resolve was what destroyed the tower and she experienced her first full transformation into the Owl Beast. When she came to, she probably built the Owl House with pieces of the Tower she was imprisoned in, transported it somewhere else on the Boiling Isles and began her lonely life there; fortefying the enchantment afterwards so that no one (especially her own family) could find her again... Well maybe except King.
Tumblr media
To support that the tower had significant value to Eda, the stained glass window of the eye that was part of the tower is now part of Eda’s bedroom. So at the end, Eda may be a person as what Luz said has: “A predetermined path of greatness”. When Eda was telling Luz about how how if everyone waited for prophecy to make them special, they would die waiting. Eda’s voice and body language gave off a sense that she is a chosen one that never wanted to be, as it was a life that was chosen for her but not for herself. Something tells me that Eda, no matter how much mischief and chaos she causes to retain her freedom, is a lonely witch that is avoiding her responsibility of being the next head of the family and her destiny as a chosen one.

GoMs + Kagami as Persona Users
Headcanons on the Generation of Miracles (and Kagami) if they were to become a persona user in the world of the Persona series (Kuroko and Momoi included)
@akichan-th THIS IS FOR YOU
Warning: KNB series spoilers !!
Tumblr media
Kuroko Tetsuya
since his presence is nonexistent in the real world, as a phantom thief, he’d probably desire to be a noticeable hero, you know? even in the 22.5 OVA, he told Kise that passing around wasn’t fun but he was going to do it for the sake of the team
his phantom thief outfit would be flashy in a sense of maybe eye-catching color schemes, or bold patterns
his attire could be baggy/oversized navy blue/black street clothing with TASTEFUL neon-colored accents and his mask would be a neon-colored huge sports shades/goggles situation (i was about to say some trendy sunglasses but sunglasses don’t stay on at all); he’s a skater boy ???? basically??
like, his PT attire could very well be a Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight DLC outfit 👀 it has those vibes
persona element is curse and let me explain why: he doesn’t have the gifted physique like the other GoMs and he’s cursed to rely on others for him to make a difference, and his motif has always been “shadow” ALSO he’s the PHANTOM sixth player YOU CAN’T CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE
he’s a front-line battler, but his skills are very support heavy: support skills that increase attack and defense for his teammates; i also wanna say he has spells that inflict dizziness ailments because in the anime, players are always losing their shit and whipping their heads around to find this tiny boy LMAO
he would definitely have a signature move that would direct all enemy attacks and status moves to himself for a set amount of turns to aid his teammates
his persona would have an extremely high Endurance and higher than average Luck stat but everything else is an all-time low
i’m going to say it, his shooting weapon is gonna be a paintball gun filled with neon paint just to fuck with the shadows and still make it HURT
code name would be “Umbra” (which means innermost part of a shadow) or “Ghost;” imagine some PT member shouting, “Oh no! Umbra’s knocked down!” and all the shadow sees is this brightass, neon kid on the floor
i would love his codename to be “Shadow” but there’s already the term shadow to describe the monsters in the metaverse
Kise Ryota
he views a “rebel” as your basic punk
since he’s a model, he knows japanese punk fashion very well
guess who’s gonna come into the metaverse being this hot ass punk boy? Kise motherfucking Ryota
black spike collar
lots of those tiny chains and harness/buckle action somewhere
ripped black leather pants that give Joker’s own leather pants a run for its money PLUS WITH SHINY BLACK BELT
lots of patchwork and stuff
THIS IS WHAT MORE OR LESS  I’M TALKING ABOUT IF YOU WANT VISUAL REFERENCES
Tumblr media Tumblr media
his mask would totally be a visor goggle to add further to the punk theme
part of me is biased that Kise is a blondie and “kise” is based off of “yellow” and Ryuji is blonde and so now i headcanon him as the electric element
okay, but since he’s an “all-rounder” he’ll probably be able to access mid-tier level attacks of all elements, including almighty to an extent
but if i was basing his element off of personality, he’d be ice for sure; he’s actually cold-hearted to people whom he doesn’t consider “worthy” and the anime only showed his friendly side because most of the time, he’s shown talking to his friends and people he respects
speaking of all-rounder, his stats would be all high all around, with his Magic stat peaking the highest
Midorima Shintarou
this boy is a bit tricky to figure out what his PT attire would be
he doesn’t have any time to think about “what he would be as a rebel” type of thing
however, if he were to desire to become something, i’d say he would want to be a supernatural being who can distribute good luck for himself every day
think of those JRPG wizard/mage/warlock outfit motifs (and they match up nicely with the idea of astrology and horoscopes); probably lots of brown/beige/hues of green scheme? or a black/various colors of purple for a FULL on witch vibe
it makes sense too because as someone who always shoots from afar and never dunks, mage classes always cast from afar and never attack up close to their opponent
and his frog puppets remind me of a witch’s animal familiars LMAO
there you have it
his mask would be a dark dark purple or a pure black domino mask that has little stars littered sparingly everywhere on said mask
his shooting weapon? my guy is stacked on staves ready to cast long-range spells
wind element for sure (because his basketball shots all catch air with lots of hang time | (• ◡•)|) with tons of gun skills
signature move would be a magic skill that never misses no matter what (his range is the entire metaverse)
his persona stats are also pretty well rounded but his highest stats would be Magic and Luck, with Endurance being a close runner up
Aomine Daiki
also hard to figure out a PT attire for this guy
according to KUROFES, his alternative career would be a police officer so i would think he despises criminals and the Phantom Thieves altogether ?
if anything, he’s more suited for the S.E.E.S. investigation team in Persona 3
Aomine doesn’t give a fuck, but he has a soft spot to protect others so like having a gun evoker definitely suits him more than a mask summon BRJWBDJW
i see him as a fire element, but his persona would have a lot more physical skills than anything else
bonus: since he used to be Kuroko’s “light,” he can have some mid-tier level bless skills
to make a reference his “formless” shots and forms, as well as his rapid changes of pace, his signature move would be a 5-hit physical skill that changes targets with every hit
statwise, his Agility stat is the highest out of everyone in the GoM, and his Strength and Endurance would be runner up stats; his Magic stat would be extremely dismal
Murasakibara Atsushi
this guy thinks about nothing but food and how he hates Teppei-species people basketball, so honestly he’s not interested in the Phantom Thieves business
like what? Murasakibara dressed in a getup? it’s a big “press X to doubt”
so i envision him to be more suitable for Persona 4, where he has to confront the other self that loves basketball and truly does care about people, and he had to be honest and accept that side for him to attain a persona
would he ever go back to the said “persona world” to go fight some shadows? unless there’s a good reason why he should or you bribed him with snacks, he won’t budge an inch
just give this man a Persona 4 school uniform and he’s ready to fight
his persona would primarily have physical skills, with lots of “wall” support skills, element “break” skills, and lots of passive skills (lots of nulls/resists) available for it to learn
highest stat for him would be Strength, then Endurance, and surprisingly have Agility as the runner up
he’s a huge tank of a persona user
Akashi Seijuro
i’ve talked about his PT outfit in this headcanon here, including his mask and why
hear me out, since this man is good at everything in school, and since there are archery clubs in Japanese schools, i wouldn’t be surprised if he was a Robin Hood with the scopes; what am i tryna say? his shooting weapon would be bow & arrows
i feel like people would automatically think he’s a bless/curse element like Akechi since “he has two sides,” but i feel like it’s not exactly right? if anything, i headcanon him to be more of a psychokinesis element
why? i want to attribute that to his emperor’s eye and his perfect passings, both each specialties from their respective “sides” of Akashi, and that requires extreme precision, almost to the level of “telepathy”
there’s also everyone thinking he can see the future too i mean
in the end, Akashi’s dual sides merged into one again, so having a whole bless/curse element wouldn’t even make sense anymore
but i will say, this man deserves to have a persona with almighty skills back to back
this guy isn’t the captain for no reason
so his persona would utilize psychokinesis and almighty skills, with special buff skills that increase critical rates for his allies (to refer to the fact that his passings enhance other players); his persona would also enjoy a large selection of passive skills to choose from to either be ultimate support or ultimate offensive sweeper
to also reiterate from the mentioned headcanon i linked, his code name would either be “Crimson” or “Scarlet”
his persona is a literal glass cannon, referring to the fact that Akashi is actually a mentally fragile basketball player; extremely high Strength, Magic, and Agility (but not as high as Aomine though) stats, average Luck stat, but extremely low Endurance stat
Momoi Satsuki
Momoi, i think, would envision herself in the metaverse as someone who’s never underestimated because of her usual demeanor or physical looks
even me, i got fooled thinking she was just only a fanservice girl and not this incredibly intelligent girl who was critical to her teams’ successes
so i would think she would imagine herself to be in a huge respectable position of power, like a lieutenant or general, who can command others and strategize to victory
her outfit would be similar to the attire from the Assassin’s Faith set from Love Nikki with the black Army Floppy Hat from the Army Major set on top (also from Love Nikki)
color scheming i can imagine a lot of black/white with gold trimmings/accents here and there
her mask is a Venetian eye mask i can literally see it; it’s so pretty with the gold plating !!
her role would definitely be a navigator + analyzer/tactician from the backlines, so while she isn’t in the battle most of the times, if worse comes to shove, she’ll be in the frontlines as a last resort
in other words, she’s a Futaba, but she isn’t a sitting duck and can fight if needed
she has an incredible Luck stat, higher than average Agility stat, but average stats for the rest (Magic, Strength, and Endurance)
ailment, healing, support, and buff skills are all at her disposal, along with some gun skills (which can definitely be broken when paired with her high Luck stat)
“Duchess” (a woman having a noble rank) would be a really cute codename for her
Kagami Taiga
why do i literally see him as a shinobi (ninja)
i have no idea why i do, but i think it’s just his name:
“While Kagami's name is associated with the ‘tiger’, Himuro's name means ‘dragon’. In Chinese mythology, the Azure Dragon of the East and the White Tiger of the West are eternal rivals. This rivalry is further expressed in their surnames: ‘Hi (氷)’ means ‘ice’ while ‘Ka (火)’ translates as ‘fire’.” - KNB wiki
so i literally see both Himuro and Kagami as rival clans duking it out
jokes aside, Kagami is a very honorable player, but he did at one point exhibited a “darker side” to himself, playing selfishly and being arrogant in the beginning
shinobis were considered to be “dishonorable” and “beneath the honor” of the samurai in their eras, so i feel that this could be a great image for what Kagami thinks is a “rebel”
being a ninja would make use of his jumping skills too
i imagine him in a fitted black halter neck top (so his abs are for us to see), with an iconic long red scarf wrapping his neck and hanging down to his waist at the back side
black forearm guards/wraps?
and then he has mahogany/dark red??/black???? loose cloth wrapped around his waist, like how you would tie a jacket over your waist ?? and then black nu-bakama pants and finally some dark boots for those pants to be tucked in
no one can convince me otherwise, but he’s gotta have a red full-face oni mask with black horns and some golden tiger stripes on the sides of the mask and around the eyes
HIS PERSONA ELEMENT IS BLESS BECAUSE HE IS KUROKO’S “LIGHT”
he would totally have some almighty skills and “Heat Riser,” a move that raises all of the user’s attack, defense, and accuracy/evasiveness (because the colors of the move’s animation remind me of Direct Drive Zone, something that was pretty much unlocked by Kagami for the team)
his persona is one of the OP/late game personas where all their stats are amazing across the board; even if his stats were high all around, his “lowest” would be his Luck stat
codename for him is “Tiger” no one cannot argue with me for this one NRNEIJFEO
