do you ever write fluff unless it's specifically as a gift for someone who you know loves fluff? have you ever sat down and thought "I'll give them a nice soft happy uneventful fluffy day today :)" with no thoughts about how you can mercilessly crush them in the next scene?

Reading this I was like hey I've been writing a bit of Fluff, what are you talking about. But then I filtered my fluffy fics on ao3 and uh there are 20 works, but it's prompts and gifts and other inspired stuff, and that leaves only other fics that include fluff but also lots of angst.

There is 1 fic I've written for the sole reason of writing fluff. And it's don't forget to take a nap.

comics as an art form make me insane. they’re so difficult to do well. there’s so many different ways to make sequential art work and most of them are deeply unintuitive. onomatopoeia that feels completely ridiculous to put down often reads seamlessly. panels on a page become a fractally nested image composition challenge that’s only possible to lose because if you do a good job no one will notice. you have to direct the readers’ eyes on a specific path across the page but also account for the fact that they won’t follow it. comic time isn’t linear. if the order of events isn’t crystal clear the story becomes incomprehensible. sometimes you need to do this on purpose. all this for a medium almost universally considered less effective than animation and less respectable than plain text. even its own name doesn’t take it seriously

annabeth, putting her book down: leo, Poseidon himself does not bluetooth connect to the ocean. he embodies the ocean. he is the ocean. when poseidon is calm, the ocean is calm. when poseidon is angry, the ocean is angry. because they are both the ocean in different forms. so being poseidon’s son, the ocean is part of percy. it’s the same as when he moves his arms and legs. it’s like another limb, so he doesn’t have to think about controlling it. that’s why water reacts when he’s scared or angry. it’s his reflexes. water is part of him.
