My fellow fanfic authors, I'm begging on my hands and knees – and Ima hold your hand as I say this – you gotta respond to the readers that leave comments on your work.

I know social anxiety is the worst (trust, my autistic ass understands) but I promise you, nothing deters a reader from commenting more than seeing a comment section with no replies as you continue to post fanfics. Even if it's as simple as "thanks for reading!" or just some cute emojis, it'll show that you're actually engaging with your audience!

We work so hard on our writing, and those of us that post them online want it to be seen, right? Indulging in our little fandoms is how we build connections with people that feel the same way.

It might be hard or even scary, but I find the more you socialize with others (especially in a more controlled environment like a comment section), the easier it gets! 💕

do not be worried. at all.

because even if no one else is interested, YOU are. you enjoy this idea. you're passionate about this concept. you should write for YOU, not for potential critics.

and even besides that, i guarantee you that there's at least 1 other person out there who would also enjoy your fic. it's essentially statistically impossible for you to be the only person on the planet who thinks the way you do, and enjoys the themes and ideas and characters and settings that you do.

write it. post it. take pride in the fact that you created something that you value. your fic exists, and that in of itself is amazing.

Which,,, u leave the managing of ppl copying ur gun to ppl like the Qixing or smth, but make sure to give them advice on good gun laws if teyvat accidentally revolutionizes bc of ur advanced gun that anybody can wield (non-vision users)

No, not because they think you're gross or smelly, but because they know you'll feel at least a little bit better once you're clean. 

They won't judge you if its been longer than you'd like to admit since you last bathed.

They won't show revulsion when they see how unkempt your nails or hair or skin has become as a result of inadvertent neglect. 

They won't shame you or think less of you for having difficulty with doing what 'should' be a basic, simple act of self-care. Your [f/o] understands that sometimes, 'easy' things can become difficult, for one or many reasons. They love you, and all they want is for you to be comfortable and healthy. A good shower will help you with both those things. 

If [f/o]s gentle encourgement isn't enough to get you to tackle the task on your own, they're glad to help as much as you need them to- they'll turn on the water to your preferred temperature, help you undress, hold your hand to keep you steady when you step over the lip of the tub, wash your hair for you, gently scrub down wherever you're comfortable with them touching, make sure all the soap is rinsed off, gently dry you off with a fresh, soft towel, and help you get dressed in clean, sensory-friendly clothes....

Plot Bunny: Teaching P to waltz

Teaching Pinocchio how to waltz...

He loves music, so it isn't uncommon for the two of you to hang around by the gramophone together. At first, he isn't very responsive in general, but you notice the little signs; the way his head slowly tilts side-to-side in time to the rhythm, the way his fingers occasionally twitch on beat.

And so, you initiate with a casual question; asking if he'd like to dance with you. And bless his heart, at first, he doesn't quite know how to respond; big eyes stare into yours, lips part as though he's pleasantly flustered, and he gently informs you that he's never done it before.

He's happy to let you take the lead. His hands are strong, but they're so gentle as they take your own; you can hear the soft clicks and whirs and purrs of the machinery inside him as the two of you move together.

At first, he's a little reserved and unsure of himself. He's careful as he holds you, as if he's worried about hurting you in some way; his movements are a little twitchy and jerky as they often are, but it's nothing that gets in the way.

When the song ends, he gives you The Stare for a moment; that big ol' wide-eyed stare of his that can melt anyone's heart. Softly and gently and oh-so-sweetly, he asks you if the two of you can keep dancing.

And so, this becomes a regular thing between the two of you; when it's nice and quiet in Hotel Krat, and you're listening to the gramophone together at night, you'll often ask if he'd like to dance. And always, he says yes. (Honestly, he tends to stare longingly at you as if he's hoping you'll ask.)

Pinocchio becomes steadily more human as you know him; his hair grows longer, his movements become a bit more natural, and his dancing becomes more confident and fluid. When he dips you for the first time, you're so surprised; and for the first time, you're certain you see just a hint of a cheeky smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

When he returns to Hotel Krat after putting a stop to the Alchemists' threat, he looks different again. Silvery hair brushes his skin as he steps closer to you, as he offers you his hand, as he sweeps you into a dance.

It's as though the two of you are the only two people in the world, never mind in Hotel Krat. Your bodies know each other so well after so many dance lessons; you move together effortlessly, flawlessly, beautifully.

And as he holds you close and dips you in his arms... as he gives you a sweet and tender smile that there's absolutely no mistaking this time... you know that there will be many, many more dances between the two of you to come.

Concept for a fanfic I'm wanting to write for the new twst event which I'm going to call diva time with Vil:

(Bear in mind I hardly know anything about the actual storyline so far but oh well)

While the diva squad is on their shopping spree y/n somehow gets separated from the group somehow. And can seem to find them. And let's say the poor phone that our dear prefect had sadly passed away and how kind of Vil to offer to buy one for you in this trip. But he hasn't bought it yet, you don't have any numbers memorized and you are stuck in a unfamiliar city alone!

Good thing after several hours of wandering trying to find the boys and familiar places you come across someone you do know!

I feel like they're all well aware that it's a huge invasion of privacy, and the most they would probably do along those lines is check in to make sure your heartbeat is as normal as ever ykyk.

How they would treat appointments is also I guess just dependant on YOU and how you feel.

If your scared of the dentist for any reason, they'd treat it sensitively, but it necessary. The doctors as well, wether it's a fear of needles or the offices themselves. You're treated with care, but they can't just NOT let you go.

THE BATFAM HOWEVER.

Call me OOC or whatevs idk but they're all detectives and invasive af. Private information? Don't know her. Them mfs know what time you drank a glass of water at school.

If they think you're sick they WILL find out with what, the flu, cold, or even just a gd migrain.

Doctors office immediatly. No if's and's or but's. Scared of needles? That's okay, just squeeze your eyes closed and hold my hand but we gotta be here boo.

They know when you got a toothache. Body language said it all.

of course!! once I started writing, I couldn't stop. the poor boy has so much trauma I couldn't make a short list🥲🌱

◇ he was never able to make friends at Darkley's, not because he wasn't "bad" enough

◇ but because, as Garmadon's son, he failed to live up to his reputation and name

◇ on every night before his birthday, Lloyd stayed awake until twelve o'clock just to sing himself happy birthday to sleep

◇ I know that we all headcannon this, but after everything he's been through, he has panic attacks. especially at night

◇ Lloyd never remembers his dreams, ever. there is no reasonable explanation for that, but it's worse when he gets nightmares because he doesn't know why he just woke up with tears in his face

◇ all he ever knows is the event that triggered the nightmare, but nothing else

◇ before the Tomorrow's Tea, the comic shop was his favorite place. but after that moment, it was very difficult for him to go back there

◇ in time, it became his comfort place again but he takes Kai every time just in case he has flashbacks and/or panic attacks

◇ he paces a LOT when nervous, and when that doesn't work, screaming into his pillow does the trick

◇ he blames himself for every mistake the ninja make as a team

◇ even though Garmadon is back, Lloyd still misses his dad. the kinder side of him

◇ it will be dawn, and he will be up studying hundreds of scrolls just to not think of the things that have happened to him over the years

◇ most of the time, he feels like he's too much for the others and tends to stay quiet. this is now normal for the ninja, but it doesn't mean it felt right

◇ Lloyd doesn't want to be a burden, so he just releases all his frustrations by fighting

◇ by this, I mean he was so frustrated all the time that he started getting involved in a lot of street fights

◇ there were moments when the ninja wouldn't hear from him in days. but when he came back, he looked a little bit more at peace with himself
