Putting together a (hopefully mildly accurate) projected monthly budget in a homeowning situation and I think the only way to realistically afford the payments on the kind of place that I want is to ask for a raise at work. If I were making about $500 more per month, I think the budget I'm working out could be feasible. Tight, but feasible. The question is do I want to go back to stressing heavily over every paycheck or extra life expense?? It's a give and take on stress and happiness levels, because worrying more about money would suck but having my own HOME would be dope as hell.

the humorous upside to Jason really doubling down on being the kind of Red Hood who is at best morally grey and makes a habit of chopping off heads and shooting anyone he doesn’t agree with is that he is 100% Batman’s obscenely scary dog. the second he puts that bat symbol on his chest it’s over, even if it’s a mockery or a message or whatever. Gotham’s underbelly shits their pants when they see Red Hood. and therefore, Batman — brutal as he is, but so much less lawless, in a way — is suddenly the nice cop in his own city. the city where he routinely cracks skulls, stalks targets in the shadows, and throws people off buildings to get information. Jason makes him the “easy” option in Gotham, and while I’m sure the whole Jason thing keeps Bruce up at night for other reasons, that must be so frustrating? here you have a little shithead upstart elbowing into YOUR city and breaking the rules and suddenly goons are being nice to you? or they’re acting out because they’re more scared of the “other guy.” only a father could love that kind of prodigal son without strangling him.

#Many creators on Tumblr have done incredible work raising awareness and support for important campaigns. That kind of visibility can save lives.
I’m deeply grateful for the kindness I’ve seen — and I’m hoping now that someone might also lift up our voice.
My family has been through so much — displacement, hunger, illness. We’re still fighting every day for the most basic needs: food, clean water, medicine.
We don’t have much left but hope — and your support could truly change our reality.
If you’re a creator : please consider sharing our story. Reblog, speak up, point people toward this campaign.
Even a small gesture can reach someone who’s able to help.
To everyone who’s supported us in any way — thank you from my heart.
Vetted ! ! !
(#167 on the verified fundraiser list by el-shab-hussein and nabulsi) (but we had to make a new gfm campaign cuz our old organizer stopped contacting us).

the sunshine court really put the original trilogy in a new light bc we finally see just. regular college students. they go to get boba. they have a cute gay apartment. they actually go to classes. and then we have jean, neil, andrew, kevin, and the rest of the foxes who are just Not Having a Normal Time between unresolved oodles of trauma, not a single stable home life in sight, oh also and the literal mafia. — their metric for being Okay is just,,, not helpful. but trying to picture jean just like— in my econ section. hanging out at someone’s bday party on a saturday in socal. my man holding a corona and having no idea what to do with his hands. i cannot.

Really interesting video about how ATLA was received by Chinese audiences and how its ending would be different if it aligned more with Chinese philosophical traditions. Would love to see some discourse in the reblogs and comments!

DP x DC PROMPT #2:
Tim Drake was a smart child, so he hires a live-in babysitter to help raise him when his parents are gone. Cue one Danny Fenton-Nightingale, who will NOT let this frankly scarily observant child grow up with negligent and unavailable guardian figures like he did, so help him Ancients.
———————
Tim Drake was left alone at a very young age. His parents left a five-year old child in a mansion, with no adult supervision.
Tim’s parents were negligent.
But Tim, he was a smart child.
Now, most people thought he had learned to cook, took himself to school, escaped from kidnappings, and generally raised himself to become the independent self-made genius he was today, teenaged CEO. And Tim let them think that, heck, he spread those rumors himself.
But that wasn’t quite right.
He had been a smart child, yes, but a child nonetheless. And he knew that most parents would hire a babysitter.
His parents hadn’t.
So he did it for them.
It was the smartest thing he ever did at that age.
And after he was hired, his dad new babysitter Danny helped cover up when Tim did things not-so-smart.
