I wish people wouldn’t debate my fucking identity. Stumbled across a whole reddit thread about how nonbinary lesbians should “choose a different label that fits them better”. What. The fuck???

Nonbinary lesbians have since the coining of the term lesbian and always will be an important part of the lesbian community. I’m not changing my fucking identity because the label police gets uncomfortable with it.

I hate how normalized it is to be TERFy to nonbinary people specifically. “Oh I’m okay with trans women existing as a lesbian but as soon as someone with a gender I don’t understand exists as a lesbian that’s not okay.” Tf?? Okay so you’re one step better than normal TERF because at least you fucking accept lesbian trans women but you’re still a TERF. You’re still exclusionary.

And they always come to us to educate them and say all this offensive shit when doing so yet get mad when we correct them. Dude if you want to be educated you have to actually listen to what the person you’re asking is saying jesus fucking christ.

All this to say we will never stop existing. I’m not going to change my label for any weirdo out there that wants to police my identity. I am a lesbian. Always have been, always will be.

You know I comment a lot online but my one comment that seems to consistency get haters merely mentions the complexities of identity. All I did was bring up the existence of Trans Men who are Lesbians and every so often this old comment still gets detractors in my replies.

And I realized I don’t know all the details about this identity. Merely that it exists and what I was able to logically figure out about it via my pondering. And the best way to combat vitriol/haters is with truth and knowledge.

So you’ll see a lot of tags here cause I wanna learn more about this fascinating group of people. If you see this post tell me more about yourselves.
