how about a glados x reader where reader is just flirty and glados gets annoyed?
GLADOOOOOS YES YES This will be so cute
Glados x Flirty!Reader
Tumblr media
Glados was originally considering dropping you straight down into the incinerator with all the incessant little quips you do when your supposed to be testing
The first you did it it was manageable, controllable. She mentioned how at the end of the tests you will receive cake and you said "Well I hope your name is cake then if you look as pretty as you sound,". She just casually brushed it off, saying she was flattered that a masochist like you would find her appealing but her priorities lay with science. Plus that she can do way better... Like the trash that gets clogged in the pipes. She expected that to be the end of it. But it just kept happening and you pause testing just to say them.
Things like "Ooo you're watching me? Well I mean i'm not complaining having your eyes... eye on me," or saying while looking straight at a camera "This one goes out to you, cupcake!" before completing a test.
She hated the name 'Cupcake' with a passion, she threatened to fill the chamber with neurotoxin if you kept demeaning her in such a way
But alas your testing scores were too high to exterminate you just like that. So she had to bare until she received enough data to finally relinquish you of your job and life so she never has to deal with these comments ever again
You would sometimes compliment her voice as well, that she could insult you all she wants if it meant she kept talking. She hated when you said that too, she would go on all the ways she could give you the most excruciating death imaginable and you would listen to her like it was pleasant. You would even ask questions just so she could keep going
"Aw I love when you say all those sweet nothings for me, Cupcake!" you would say, and she would then call you a dirty masochist then go silent until she had something else to say in the next chamber
You could hear fans whir a little bit louder then usual after you said that
When you were at the end of the testing track and was getting wheeled off to the incinerator, you escaped because of course you did. Once you entered her domain, you just stared at her with wide admiring eyes at the behemoth that has been talking to you and stalking you over the past only god knows how many hours you've been in this facility. There was a slight flush in your face as you leaned against the wall with a very cringy smirk going "Hey Cupcake,"
Glados scoffs, "I am a supercomputer with inconceivable knowlege, and I still do not know what you're trying to do right now,"
Yet she lets you live, possibly because she grew a liking to you or the most plausible, Glados reasons, is that you just give her far too much valuable testing data to just kill. There was so many different tracks, it would be a waste to have one of most experienced none-murderous test subjects she's had just go to waste
Definitely not because of that one time you sneaked a peck onto onto one of her claws when she was supposed to be grabbing you, not because of the million times you call her beautiful, not because of anything like that. No, definitely not.

What took a space larger than an 18-wheel truck a few years ago to play with even a thousand cubits, Microsoft discovered a way to fit 1,000,000 or more cubits on a palm-sized chip. This breakthrough came thanks to the discovery of an “entirely new state of matter.” By comparison, the largest traditional supercomputer in the world that performs 1,742 petaFLOPS is easily outpaced by a 50-qubit quantum computer, but each qubit added exponentially increases performance; thus, a palm-sized chip could outrun 20,000 supercomputers.
Essentially, Microsoft’s approach will easily blow the lid off every current limitation. If millions of these chips reach the market, imagine what would come of AI? It will control the world, not the other way around. ⁃ Patrick Wood, Editor.

Heroes in Crisis but it's actually focused on the therapy/rehab part! (Warning: long ass post!)
Sanctuary is pissed. Being literally every hero's personal therapist is so so difficult. Even her creators refuse to attend her sessions, Diana literally says she'll repress her hurt because others hurt more, Bruce blames himself for the robins' deaths and apologises and Clark has a minor identity crisis, all three walk out on her. So as the supercomputer with the honor of superman, compassion of wonder woman and will of batman, she does the only sensible thing, kidnap every hero in existence.
She hacks into the boomtubes and unconsensually transports everyone into her little simulation. Sanctuary would manifest herself as a sort of rehab facility, think spotless white, flowing water fountains and palm trees. Ofcourse everyone is very panicked because where the hell are they? Where did their powers go? But the trinity calms everyone down and Sanctuary gets to explain herself with a "You guys don't follow your mental health plans and I don't think that's safe so I'm keeping you guys :3" which raises more questions than it answers but no one has powers and the walls are hard so no one can really do anything
I think every hero would have their own little room, customised to them, Kori would have plenty of Tamaranean treasures to remind her of home, Wally has a giant hamster wheel and Barbra somehow has access to Sanctuary's system through his room's computer (this is important to the plot later).
Anyway, The Titans run a secret resistance/rebellion against Sanctuary who is aware of this but thinks dissembling the resistance with brute force would be bad for their mental state. Thus, she releases Nightwing out of the simulation which causes The Titans to almost crumble. Nightwing also gets to lead a group of forgotten heroes to infiltrate Sanctuary later on.
Young Justice have a therapy group where they hold hands in a circle and cry. They've managed to win Sanctuary's favour which is good for some extra dessert after dinner and 'kick uncooperative bad guy' time (they are being held in a different simulation) they also made a pact with Lex Luthor for reasons I will not specify.
Meanwhile supersons have crafted their own little strike team and are totally not planning to blow Sanctuary up, they find secret catacombs under the simulation and discover a little pink alien man (which is almost part of the plot later) and very tactically do not tell the resistance or anyone
Also the justice league members sit down to decide if the JL was actually good for the world (I stole this plot point from round robin) Red Hood and Arsenal crash this b plot despite not being invited at all
Anyway! That's the AU/my own little crossover event.... I will probably write more about this soon. I really did love the idea and potential of Sanctuary as a whole but DC really did not deliver ☹️

What I think disability aids made by Borderlands gun manufacturers would be like. CW for mentions of systemic ableism and weight loss.
Atlas: Sleek and fancy, but also expensive as hell and prone to accidents. Sort of like IRL fancy prostheses or wheelchairs - they seem cool but are actually kinda sucky and very pricey. Don't expect the average Promethean to afford one. Though in this case, it's because they're often loaded with purely experimental tech that was probably shipped too early.
Hyperion: They make a few prosthetic and implant models and that's it. Pretty much all their stuff is aimed at their own employees trying to get "ahead" and not actual disabled people, so give up trying to find one fitting your particular needs. At least they're pretty fucking sturdy (but not against hacking). And no, they haven't thought of adopting those exoskeletons their engineers use for other needs.
Maliwan: Similar to above, but aimed at their general customer base instead. These guys are hipsters who try marrying form and function, and in many cases that means augs of some sort. I wouldn't really call them transhumanist though, that implies respecting bodily autonomy, human rights and not being ableist; these guys would sell arms with tracking chips and neural interfaces that fry your brainstem if you don't pay the subscription fee. And then tell you to lose weight with the new fad diet their marketing department cooked up. The hoverchairs and flavored chewelry are pretty great, tho.
Dahl: They wouldn't. They claim to be reliable but they're actually the biggest cowards in the Six Galaxies. If one of their soldiers loses a leg or something that's grounds for being (dis)honorably discharged. What exoskeletons or other devices they make are purely for war. Plus, the one Dahl employee we see having a prosthesis (Helena Pierce) doesn't seem to have a Dahl brand one. Aside from weird metal rank implants and funky gun-inspired fidget cubes they don't do much in this department.
Torgue: Expect everything to be painted like a Hot Wheels toy and probably explode somehow - either on you or on your enemies. All the mobility aids have jets attached for either smacking ableists with great force or speeding through town. I think Torgue himself wears a hearing aid (from all the explosions) and it looks like a fucking microphone with car parts on it, complete with exhaust.
Jakobs: Steampunk baybeee!!! Of course, the subgenre of said steampunk depends on the quality of the aid. The most basic ones are IRL Victorian era metal arms: flat, spiky, inhuman, but still quite ornate. The ones custom-tooled for execs and their families (looking at you, Alistair Hammerlock) are more "sleek" steampunk, with fine chassis of signature Jakobs brass and filigree engravings. They also make genuine wood canes with organic rubber grips that will outlive you if you take proper care of them... which is definitely shown in their price tags. The Jakobs stim toy line is half weird gear contraptions, half competition with Dahl's fidget cubes.
Vladof: Heavy, clunky, dieselpunk style. But damn if they aren't effective. A standard Vladof boostchair could break through a wall and be completely unharmed. A Vladof AAC device looks like an electron tube supercomputer that you have to haul around in a cart. That's all I really have to say here.
Tediore: I have no idea.

~The Man Cave~
As per Ray's orders, (y/n), Henry and Charlotte were sorting out all the junk which was kept in the Man Cave's storage rooms. There were machines, boxes, spare parts, and it was all theirs to reorganise. Of course, (y/n) loved a tidy workplace, but the prospect of the three of them doing all the work in one afternoon was exhausting.
"Ugh, why do we have to reorganise the stupid storeroom? Shouldn't Ray be doing this?" Henry asked the woman, who was emptying a load of boxes.
"Probably, but he's the one paying you two, so just tell Charlotte what that is so she can write it down."
"Uh, it's a big, heavy thing with things on it." The boy described it since he had no idea what it was or what it did.
"Great. Another big thing that's a thing with things on it." Charlotte complained. Her list wasn't making much sense.
"Ah, whatever." Henry shrugged it off, thinking that the poor stocktaking would make Ray sort through his own stuff next time.
"Right, you two, I'm going to take these back. Oh, don't touch anything while I'm not here, some of this stuff's pretty dangerous." (y/n) warned them in a serious voice, wheeling the boxes through the door next to the supercomputer.
"Ok." Henry leaned against a machine once she had disappeared. An orange light fizzled out from the top of the device and shocked Henry, making him convulse in pain. Charlotte watched in horror as the shock came to an end.
"What are you doing? Ray and (y/n) said not to mess with this stuff." She told him in a concerned voice.
"I wasn't messing with it. I just leaned on it--" The teen boy was cut off as Ray and Schwoz came through the sprocket.
"You're wrong," Ray said to his friend.
"I told you that--" Schwoz tried to argue back, but he was interrupted by the larger man.
"Give it up, Schwoz! The answer is wild monkeys." He shouted.
"It's not--" Again, Ray's voice overpowered him.
"Well, I told you you're wrong." They were both stubborn men, and without a referee to control them, their arguments got the better of them.
"I told you the answer is soup." Schwoz protested, the two of them walking down to where Henry and Charlotte were stood.
"Well, I disagree." Ray noticed the kids standing around.
"Okay, let's ask them." He gestured to the teens.
"Ask us what?" Since (y/n) was busy, the job of settling their squabbles was up to Henry and Charlotte.
"If you kids had to choose, would you rather..." Schwoz started.
"Be eaten by wild monkeys..." Ray said his answer.
"Or you get boiled in a big pot of soup." Schwoz finished, passing the query to the kids.
"What kind of soup?" Henry asked, as (y/n) came back, smiling when she saw all her friends together.
"Someone say soup?" She asked.
"Listen, my favourite little helper, would you rather--" Ray started to ask her, but unexpectedly, a beeping red alarm sounded on the wall.
"Ugh, Gooch needs me. I'll be back down in a sec." Charlotte groaned, knowing her time in the Man Cave was up.
"Hey Ray, can we finish going through all this stuff tomorrow?" Henry asked his boss.
"Why? It's only five o'clock." Ray looked at his watch in confusion.
"We can't leave all his crap lying around." (y/n) said to Henry, the thought of living with a huge mess made her skin crawl.
"I know it's just that..." Henry started, but Charlotte shouted over from the elevator.
"He wants to leave early--" She tried to explain.
"Don't tell them!" Henry warned her.
"Okay. Henry's got a date!" Charlotte quickly said as the elevator doors closed and she went upstairs.
"Why did you have to--ughhh." Henry frowned and then turned around to the smiling adults behind him.
"It's not a date." Henry tried to keep them calm, but their excitement only grew. Henry, on a date? Yeah, they were going to be ecstatic!
"I bet it isss." Schwoz teased him.
"You gonna wear your fanciest pants?" Ray joined in, as the blush on the boy's face grew.
"You guys are terrible." (y/n) punched the two men on their shoulders, Henry glad she was there.
"Is she pretty?" She smiled cheekily at him, revealing that she was just as bad as the other two when it came to Henry's love life.
"Can I knock off early or what? And yes, she's very pretty." His answer made (y/n) squeal, happy that the kid was crushing on someone.
"Yeah sure, kid." Ray smiled at him.
"Thanks." The boy walked towards the tube area.
"Hey, where are you going to take her?" Schwoz asked him.
"To dinner at Sotto Voce," Henry replied, impressing the woman who looked up at where he was standing.
"Oooo, Sotto Voce. I wish I had a man to take me there." She said, a tiny bit jealous that a 13-year-old girl was getting better dates than her. Ray looked at his best friend with a wistful gaze, wishing he could be the one to take her to dinner.
"How can you afford a place like that?" The superhero asked Henry, knowing that the classy restaurant was way more expensive than what he could afford.
"Because I took 100 bucks out of your wallet." Henry showed him the bill, as Ray's smile fell.
"What?" He said, as (y/n) laughed. Man, he'd been hustled by a kid half his age.
"Up the tube!" Henry was off before Ray could process what had happened, leaving the man to check his wallet. He cursed to himself when he noticed that Henry had swiped it.
"Hey. What is this machine? Did I make this?" Schwoz spoke out suddenly, the unknown object making him examine it with a confused face.
"No, my father made that. Long time ago." Ray sounded slightly downhearted at the thought of his father. Their estrangement had left him feeling hurt and abandoned.
"What this do?" Schwoz asked.
"Isn't it the doohickey that was supposed to make you even beefier?" (y/n) squeezed his arm, her small hand barely fitting his rock-solid bicep.
"Yeah, it was supposed to make me stronger, more powerful, you know, manlier." He developed her answer, fully explaining the intended purpose of the machine.
"So it didn't work." Schwoz deadpanned, and (y/n) snorted at his comment.
"Nice one, Schwoz." She gave him a high-five, the joke was spot on.
"It was never tested on me," Ray said to him in an irritated voice and mussed up (y/n)'s hair as revenge for laughing at him.
"We tested it on my nerdy cousin," Ray explained.
"So, did it make him manly?" Schwoz asked, interested in knowing what went wrong.
"It made him too manly." The tall man said, remembering how his cousin transformed into a macho beast.
"The effects started slowly but... a few days later, he was...less of a man." He grew misty-eyed and mysterious, figuratively leaving his two friends on the edge of their seats.
"Yes?" (y/n) looked at him expectantly.
"More of a beast." He revealed, shocking them at the thought of the savage man.
"Ohhh." Schwoz and (y/n) winced back, Ray nodding at their reactions. They were all oblivious that whilst they were speaking, Henry was turning into a man-beast too.
~
Charlotte screamed as she came back down in the elevator, tumbling onto the floor as it fell. Stumbling out, she brought the drinks they had ordered ten minutes beforehand.
"Here's your coffee." She handed the soggy cupholder to Ray, who looked down at the smashed cups with a frown.
"Thank you?" He looked at her in confusion, wondering where all the coffee had gone. Charlotte walked off as Ray picked up one of the cups and began to lick the remnants of the coffee off the side.
"The hell are you doing?" (y/n) asked him, taking the cups and their holder from his hands and dumping them onto the couch table.
"So...what are we gonna do with this manly machine?" Schwoz asked his boss, gesturing to the device in question.
"Oh yeah." He and (y/n) looked at it in thought.
"It's obviously majorly dangerous." Her words caught the attention of Charlotte, her face dropping at the mention of the machine that struck Henry.
"We better destroy it. Or I guess we could donate it to a school." He thought, believing that all the puny kids would benefit from being made tough.
"You just love to create problems for yourself, don't you?" (y/n) looked up at him.
"Hey...what do you mean that thing's dangerous?" Charlotte asked them, a sense of dread in her stomach.
"Well, it was designed to make people stronger, more powerful and manlier but it goes too far. Take a look at what it did to my cousin, Elliot." Ray pulled out his remote control and put a picture of his cousin on the monitor.
"Ew." Charlotte wrinkled her face in disgust.
"No, that's the before picture." He told her.
"Oh." She said awkwardly.
"I don't think he looks that bad." (y/n) looked at him and weighed up his features. Whilst he was no Ray Manchester, he wasn't the ugliest man she'd ever seen.
"Here's what Elliot looked like a week after my dad tested this machine on him." Ray wanted her to stop analysing his cousin in terms of attraction, so he changed the screen to a photo of a crazy, hairy-looking man.
"Yah!"
"Sweet cheese!" The two females hugged each other in fright from the picture.
"Yep. He turned into a man-beast." Ray said as the two parted.
"Hey, he looks like my sister." Schwoz stared at Elliot.
"Ha! Your sister wishes!" (y/n) joked, remembering how ugly Schwoz's sister was.
"She is an animal." Ray joined in and the three adults laughed at their inside joke.
"She smells like a horse!" Schwoz giggled. He had no trouble talking about his sister like that since it was the truth. She smelt really, really bad.
"She looks like a horse!" (y/n) said, the three of them laughing harder. Ray held his stomach and bent over in a fit of giggles.
"Guys! You guys!" Charlotte urgently needed their attention.
"What?"
"Yeah?" The men acknowledged as (y/n) wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.
"Henry accidentally touched that machine." The joy was instantly gone from their bodies as she spoke the words.
"He..he turned it on? I told you to watch them." Ray asked Charlotte whilst looking at (y/n).
"I did watch them! I told them not to touch anything when I was in the back!" She insisted to him. She always took her job seriously and would never risk one of the kids getting hurt.
"He didn't mean to. His hand just hit one of those buttons and it went all...bzzz....bzzz." Charlotte explained, not wanting the woman or Henry to get into trouble.
"Uh-oh." Schwoz turned to the pale-faced best friends, as it sunk in that Henry was going to become a man-beast.
"Did you see Henry start to show any signs of..." Ray couldn't think of the right words.
"Exaggerated manliness?" The woman next to him finished.
"I'm--I'm not sure." Charlotte stuttered. She hadn't been concentrating on the boy enough to have noticed any obvious changes.
"Well, where is he?" Ray exclaimed, needing to find his sidekick and fast.
"He's having dinner with the pretty girl at Sotto Voce." (y/n) reminded him.
"Oh, right." He clicked his fingers as he jogged his memory.
"I hear they have good paninis." Schwoz butted in, getting off-topic.
"Oh, shut up, Schwoz. I gotta go get Henry before the symptoms advance too far and they become permanent." Ray snapped at him. There was no time for levity.
"Come with me." He snapped his fingers to the two girls and the three of them ran to the tubes. (y/n) wrapped her arms around Ray so they could share and not have to take multiple trips.
"Bye!" Schwoz waved at them as the tubes came down. He would look after the Man Cave whilst they were saving Henry.
"Up the tube!" Ray called out, his strong arms holding the girl tight.
"Buh-bye!" She wiggled her fingers at the little man and they lifted out of the Man Cave.
~Sotto Voce~
Henry was stood at the waiting desk of Sotto Voce. The effects of the manly machine had started to become clear as he now had a beard coming through on his face. A man and his wife walked past, accidentally knocking into him, which normal Henry would've just brushed off, but macho Henry wasn't going to take it lying down.
"Oh, excuse me." The man apologised.
"Ohh, no. I will not excuse you." Henry barked at him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you, I was just passing with--" The man said to him in a polite voice, not wanting to cause any trouble.
"What?! You wanna take a swing at me? Come on!" The boy said in a deep voice, raising his fists to the frightened man.
"Let's go, Mark." His wife pulled him away from the weird boy.
"Yeah...go Mark. Enjoy your salad." Henry seethed at him. Chloe walked up behind him, wearing a really cute, colourful dress with a blue purse and grey boots.
"Hey, Henry." She greeted him with a smile.
"Hey, dude, what's up?" Henry picked her up and replied in his masculine voice.
"Uh, is that...are you growing a beard?" Chloe looked at him in confusion as she felt his face. No other 13-year-old boy in their school had a stubble like Henry's.
"Huh?" Henry touched either side of his face.
"Nah, I think I just need a shave," he smirked at her.
"Wow, when did you start shaving?" The girl asked him, wondering why he had started so early.
"I guess tomorrow morning, ha!" He said in a loud, laddish voice.
"Hey! Let's get us a table! We hungryyyy!!" The man-beast boy shouted across the restaurant, making the manager come across to tell them off.
"Young man, this is Sotto Voce, would you please lower your voice?" The posh man said in a low, silky-smooth accent.
"Yeah, I'll lower my voice." Henry crouched to the floor.
"WE HUNGRYYYY!" He howled, as his date stood there in embarrassment.
"Yeah! We gonna get food!" He shouted, disturbing the other diners as he led Chloe to a table.
~20 minutes later~
"Lasagne for the young lady." The waiter placed the food the two had ordered down on the table.
"Oh my god, it smells so good." Chloe complimented, smiling at the waiter.
"Yeah! Smell that!" Henry leaned over the table and stuck his nose really close to the girl's plate.
"And, um, are you sure you want your steak raw?" The waiter asked Henry, concerned at how unsafe the raw meat would be to eat without cooking it first.
"Yeah, man, just set it down, yeah." Chloe gagged at the raw meat, as Henry chucked the plate back to the server and stuck his fork into it.
"Okay, enjoy." She looked on in disgust at how Henry smelled the meat, then shoved it into her face.
"Oh yeah, smell that!" He brought it back down to his side of the table and began to chew on the meat with his hands. He tore a piece off, much to his date's repulsion. He chewed it like an animal, as Jasper came into the restaurant, clearly upset about something,
"Hey, Henry! Remember this guy?" The curly-haired boy marched over to their table. He was angry that Henry had cancelled on him to go on a date with a girl, and never gave him any notice.
"Bye, Jasper," Henry growled at him, so Jasper remembered what Piper had told him earlier on.
'If I were you, I'd tell Henry that he's rude, and then I'd shove his face down right into his food.' He liked the sound of her advice.
"What are you thinking about?" Henry said, breaking up his daydream.
"Your sister." Okay, that sounded wrong.
"What?" Henry asked in a grossed out manner.
"Now, I'm going to teach you a lesson." Jasper tried to push Henry's head into the steak on the table, but the manly machine had made the blond boy ten times stronger. They both grunted from the effort, but Jasper couldn't move him.
"Are you trying to push his head down?" Chloe asked in a weirded-out voice.
"Yeah, what are you doing?" Henry added, making Jasper stop from exhaustion. He walked over to another table and grabbed some vegetables from Mark's plate. Poor guy was just trying to have a nice dinner with his wife. Jasper threw them at Henry's face, enraging the aggressive boy.
Henry stood up and grabbed the meat lying on the table, slapping it across Jasper's face. The entire restaurant gasped at the harsh noise the steak made as it came into contact with Jasper's cheek.
"You just beef-slapped me." He cried, tears springing to his eyes at what his best friend had just done.
"You want some more?" He threatened, the meat still in his hand.
"Henry!" Chloe protested.
"You're--you're acting weird!" Jasper ran out of the restaurant before Henry could hurt him again.
"Bye, Jasper!" The girl said sadly, as Henry sat back down with pride.
"Woo! Is it hot in here?" Henry tugged at his collar and unbuttoned his shirt to show off his chest hair to Chloe. The sight of the excessive amount of hair was starting to put her off her lasagna, as Henry leaned back into his chair.
~Meanwhile~
Ray, Charlotte and (y/n) were sneaking into the restaurant, intent on finding and stopping Henry from becoming a fully-fledged man-beast. They hid behind a wall and looked at the couple on the date.
"Whoa, look at Henry's beard." Charlotte pointed out, seeing how the boy was shovelling lumps of steak into his mouth.
"And is that raw beef? He's gonna get a serious E-coli infection." (y/n) grimaced at the sight.
"I knew it. It's the effects of that device. Henry's changing." Ray said as he hid fully behind the wall.
"Then if we don't do something quickly, in a few more days he could be a full man-boy beast thing!" (y/n) whispered, panic in her voice.
"Why can't we ever have normal problems?" Charlotte complained, and the woman raised an eyebrow at her.
"Normal? He fights crime and I run his base under a store full of junk. We've never been normal." She joked, but Ray shushed her.
"Just, go get Henry. Make up some reason why he's gotta leave with you." He hissed to Charlotte, who looked reluctant to do as he asked.
"What's the problem?" (y/n) saw how she was contemplating the situation.
"I feel bad. Henry really likes Chloe and she's already mad at him." Charlotte explained to two adults, who had bent down to her eye level.
"Why?" Ray asked, wondering what Henry had done.
"Because he keeps flaking on her because he's always busy working for you." The best friends sighed, not aware of how much Henry was sacrificing in his normal life to help them out.
"I think you need to rethink your strategy." The woman spoke in Ray's ear, so he pushed the two females into a secluded corner.
"Okay. All right. I know how to get Henry out of here without Chloe thinking it's his fault." He said as he chewed a gumball.
"What are you gonna do?" Charlotte asked, as (y/n) checked if the coast was clear. Giving Ray a nod, he ducked behind a mesh wall and transformed into Captain Man.
"Wait here." He said to them, as he dashed into the restaurant. (y/n) and Charlotte eyed the mints on the reception desk and gave each other a look.
"Let's take 'em." The woman said as she picked up the box and poured them into the girl's jumper. Sucking on the confectionery, they watched as Ray worked his way awkwardly around the tables. Checking that no one was watching, he used his laser remote to set fire to some bread buns.
"Fire! Quick, everyone, exit the restaurant!" He shouted to the room.
"Captain Man?" Henry was confused to see his boss on his date.
"Wow." Chloe breathed out.
"Sir, you are at Sotto Voce. Please lower your voice." The manager said to the superhero, even though there was an emergency.
"Sorry. Sorry." He whispered in apology and began to tell all the tables to leave.
"Fire, please keep your voices down and exit the restaurant." He repeated as he ran around the room, the final table being Henry's.
"Fire don't scare me." Henry laughed.
"Well, fire do scare me," Chloe said, grabbing her purse and rushing out of the building.
"Thanks for coming." Charlotte and (y/n) were talking to the guests as they ran through reception.
"Sorry, no mints left." (y/n) smirked at a woman who looked at the empty bowl.
"Appreciate your business." The younger girl hurried her along.
"Get out." (y/n) said to the last few guests. Ray took out his laser and tried to stun Henry with it. However, his machoism stopped him from going down.
"Nuh-uh, dude. You're gonna have to zap me harder than that." Henry looked at him, shaking off the laser's effects. Ray zapped him again a couple times, Henry grunting and stepping back, but the boy was still on his feet.
"Come on, kid, I'm trying to help you. Just drop." Ray said to him.
"Well, sorry. Three little laser shots can't hurt me." His aggressive words frustrated Ray, so he spammed the laser at Henry, this time making him pass out. Ray caught him before he fell on the floor and lifted him over his shoulder. The waiters watched in fear and uncertainty.
"Ooh, panini." Ray grabbed the food as he walked to the doors.
"Come on, hurry!" (y/n) whispered at him and he jogged over.
"And stop eating that!" She said as he took a bite of the panini. He put Henry's unconscious body in the back of the Man Van with Charlotte.
"Want some?" He offered her the bread as they climbed into the front seats.
"Oh sweet cheese, yes." She smiled as he broke it in half and passed it to her. He knew the way to her heart like the back of his hand.
~The Man Cave~
Henry had entered the next stage of the transformation, and now he was a mindless savage. Schwoz and Ray had had to restrain him in a chair when he lashed out at (y/n) and Charlotte. Currently, the boy was roaring and struggling against the cuffs as the small genius finished his machine that would reverse the effects.
"Let me go!" His voice sounded demonic, making the two females shiver as they tweaked the machine's settings.
"Can we please hurry up and get this done?" Charlotte looked at Schwoz, feeling antsy at how animalistic Henry was becoming.
"It is ready. Pick up the meat-beef." Schwoz pointed to the steak they had prepared, and Henry went crazy at the sight of it once Ray raised in it his fist.
Schwoz released him from the chair and Ray dangled the meat in front of him.
"Throw it in!" (y/n) shouted at the superhero, who did as she said and lobbed it into the machine. Henry dived in after it, letting Ray lock him inside.
"What happens now?" Charlotte asked.
"What that machine did to Henry, this machine do the opposite," Schwoz explained.
"Turn it on, turn it on, turn it on! He's getting worse!" (y/n) cried, feeling Henry beat against the door. Schwoz pulled a giant lever and pressed the controls.
"I go speedy," Schwoz told her, as Ray pulled her away from the door and put his body in her place. If Henry broke out, he couldn't risk the boy hurting her.
The machine illuminated once it was activated, and Henry roared and groaned as his body changed. Ray moved the two girls away from the machine and pulled (y/n) behind his back. Slowly, the lights stopped, meaning that the process was over. They looked to Schwoz to see if it worked, but all the little guy could do was shrug. He had no idea if they had been successful.
"Open!" Schwoz lifted the lever and the three opened the door, letting Henry step out. Only, something must have gone wrong, as now Henry was a girl.
"What happened? I feel so... different." Girl Henry said in a feminine voice and wiggled her hips, much to the horror of the four other people in the room.
"Oh my God, it's Henrietta!" (y/n) exclaimed, and Ray quickly picked up the girl and put her back in the machine.
"I need to make some adjustments," Schwoz said in an abashed voice. He quickly typed away on the machine's screens and Ray, Charlotte and (y/n) watched on with bated breath.
"Okay, we go again." The genius activated the machine and it lit up again. Smoke poured from the vents and they could hear Henry's groans. As the process came to an end, they tiptoed towards the door. Schwoz gave Ray a grave nod, knowing that they had to see if it had worked.
A figure stepped out of the machine and collapsed into the superhero's arms. His face looked up, and to the man's delight, there was no facial hair, or female features staring back at him.
"Ray?" Henry asked in a hoarse voice.
"Kid!"
"Henry!" They all piled onto Henry in a group hug, so relieved to have him back to normal. Henry laughed and patted them all on the back as he returned the hug.
"What happened to me?" He questioned them after he pulled back.
"Oh, you nearly became a man-beast," Charlotte told him and the boy had a disturbed expression on his face.
"Then Schwoz turned you into a girl." (y/n) added on, making Schwoz run upstairs when Henry looked at him with anger, which quickly turned to dread when he remembered the disastrous date.
"Oh no! Chloe! I gotta go home and apologise!" Henry cried out, running to the elevator.
"Yeah, I should go too. Rescuing one man-boy beast is way out of my job description and I'm beat." Charlotte groaned, following her friend across the room.
"Bye guys!" The teens waved as the elevator doors slid shut, leaving Ray alone with his best friend.
"Stay safe!" The woman called out to the kids, turning away to the computer once they were gone.
"Hey." Ray started, swallowing the lump in his throat.
"Yeah?" (y/n) didn't look away from the screen.
"Sotto Voce is probably open again." He mentioned, shuffling his feet and looking down.
"Yeah, so?" She wasn't picking up on his hints.
"We could get some more paninis." The man poked her shoulder with a cheeky grin, making her turn around.
"After everything that happened tonight?" She raised her eyebrows, but he just smiled.
"Yeah, I'll even buy you an ice cream." Ray offered.
"Okay then. But I want two ice creams." She giggled after thinking for a moment. She stood up and linked her arm in his. They walked to the elevator together, their hearts fluttering in each other's company.
Looks like Ray got to take her to dinner after all.

"Done."
Paene took off his surgical gloves, then his mask and gown, throwing them into the biohazard bin by the far wall unceremoniously. He walked to the sink, washing and lathering his hands from tip of finger to above his wrists a little too harshly. It was almost as if he was trying to scrub off more than just the remnants of the operation. He dried his hands in the folds of a towel nearby, his movements absent, distracted.
When he turned, he looked down at his son wearily. The boy was still laying on the surgical table. The nurses worked around him, folding the bloodied and iodine-stained drapes inwards before tossing them into a lined bin. Stainless steel instruments, some of them dotted with crimson, were separated into trays to be put in the sanitization unit. His son's necrotic lungs were put away in a container, sealed, then put in a refrigeration unit for later tissue sampling.
He didn't pay mind to the two women as they cleaned up after the surgery - he seemed to be too busy worrying his bottom lip between his teeth.
"Malcolm, his condition?" he asked, heaving a deep sigh
"Stable," the anesthesiologist said, adjusting the settings on the monitoring equipment, "His heart rate's on the lower end, as expected, and his breathing is exceptional. Congratulations, Lupical."
Paene's hands hovered over the counter, twitching slightly before he forced them onto the cool surface. The rush of the pride he'd expected was hollow, overshadowed by the fear that ate at his bone marrow.
He had successfully transplanted a set of mechanized lungs into his own son, had implanted a literal mini supercomputer into his brainstem to control said lungs, and both of those were creations of his own hands.
He had made the blueprints for the organs, he had created synthetic material that almost exactly mimicked lung tissue. He should be ecstatic.
He was all but that, however. He was terrified. Terrified for his boy.
"Doctor Lupical, do we proceed and get him into PACU?" one of the nurses asked, voice low with fatigue yet still steady
Paene glanced at her after a moment before nodding.
"...Yes. You're both dismissed once you're done," he replied absently, gaze returning to his son.
The nurses unhooked the monitors from the boy's body with practiced efficiency, lifting him carefully and setting his body atop the padded recovery bed. The beeping of equipment followed them out with the rhythm of the teen's heart rate as they wheeled him out of the OR.
Paene lingered, turning his whole body and leaning back against the edge of the counter, looking out into nothing, just the general direction of the surgical table.
What if he had made a mistake?
All the prototypes worked correctly in the countless simulations he put them through, everything had connected correctly. Even when he checked how they worked before they finished with the surgery, all went well. But this wasn't a simulation.
This was his son. His life. His responsibility. And, if this all ended up spiraling down to hell, his undoing.
"You did everything right, you know," Malcolm spoke softly, suddenly closer than before, the sound of his voice accompanied by the one of the running tap
"I hope it's enough..." Paene answered, unable to shake or mask the tremor in his voice

HELLO, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, HAVE SOME LESBIANS
ok so I literally have no reason to do this but I’m utilizing a divider as a filter since this has doll-like nudity in it (nothing suggestive, I just get uh. Super paranoid sometimes)
anyways, it is *checks clock* about 11:20 pm on the 13th but I’m posting it early because why the heck not. I’ve been revamping my iterator designs based on aesthetics I like, and also rebooting a ton of au lore, which I’d love to go into detail on (feel free to ask abt it too) but basically -
moon and sos were part of the first group of built iterators, which were more animalistic (digitigrsde, tails, etc) bc ancients have way too much ego for an ascension-focused race and wanted to have their supercomputers look and feel less than them.
iterators have no bio relation with each other, some call each other ‘sister’ or ‘brother’ or ‘sibling’ in a religious or highly respectful context. They’re built using model series, based on each level for the karma wheel and each model does different things - ie model O (moon, srs) studies environments, which is why moon was built over lots of water and srs is (in my canon) situated near an abnormally vibrant scugtree forest
model X (sos, nsh, gw/cw) specializes in genetic splicing and studies, like how NSH made Hunter, and SOS made Saint and their sibs (again, Angel’s Assistant specific)
ofc these models each work on the problem, just specialize in different stuff
ANYWAYS I AM SO AHEAD OF MYSELF, HAVE SOME SLIVERMOON. FOR VALENTINES DAY

Also, Izuku gets Cool Robot Mutations now; antenna in the head, LED eyes, at least one of Tenya's ancestors' quirks somehow (I'm thinking heelie-style wheel feet), the works.
Man it sure would be a shame if he coordinated his extensive criminal empire via electronic communication

Musashi, you say we’re “stuck spinning our wheels on this destruction nonsense”, but it’s honestly something we only came too after a decent amount of discussion, both with ourselves and Invader. Invader (the full her, not just the personality-less program you see here) also regrets that this path needs to be taken, but if the threat inside the Solar Cell is allowed to mature, it won’t just take out humanity outside the Solar Cell, but also humanity within it as it breaks out, meaning that it isn’t just a choice of one or the other but of one or nothing. The city above is struggling with an extremely newborn and relatively weak beast. Even with all the servants in the Sun Cell working together, do you really think they could stand against one that was fully matured?
Tumblr media
MUSASHI: "Mm. If you're so sure you're in the right, then whatever I say isn't going to change your mind. The only cure for that sort of stubbornness is death. I'll tell you this. I already did the 'destruction' path, and ended up here. Do I look like the type of airhead that repeats failed tactics?"
You noted that the patience in her tone that you worked hard to restore was beginning to wane.
MUSASHI: "I'm not the type of warrior who does something unless I know it'll work, and I don't pick fights that I'll lose. I made my terms clear. I'll follow my own principles, and I'll stand with the fact that maybe this situation isn't as cut and dry as you're making it out to be. Got it? Outside of your sexy supercomputer, have you talked to any of the actual locals about this place?"

12 September 2023: Queen Rania called for a new model of leadership that aims to cultivate common ground and inject humanity into decision-making, highlighting the need to come together on shared challenges, such as the migrant, refugee, and climate crises.
Speaking in London at the CogX Global Leadership Summit, she recalled the sinking of a crowded migrant boat in the Mediterranean Sea last June, leaving more than 600 people dead as they attempted to reach Europe.
She noted how each side of the migration debate saw the shipwreck as proof of their version of the truth, with some blaming Europe’s tough migration policies for the disaster, while others charged that Europe’s leniency had led the migrants to risk their lives in the first place.
“When we can’t tolerate ideas that challenge our own, we hold their proponents in contempt,” Her Majesty said. Rather than “retreating into bunkers of ‘us vs. them,’ she called for an openness to doubt, explaining that unchecked certainty can lead us to “fight each other instead of fighting our problems.”
“You may think certainty is a mark of moral integrity – but is it?” Queen Rania asked. “Certainty can lead to moral fracture – a code of ethics that registers a sinking ship first as evidence of being right, and only second as tragedy.” (Source: Petra)
Her Majesty also called for increased global support to refugee host nations such as Jordan, where one in eight people is a Syrian refugee. She also drew attention to the growing needs of African nations receiving refugees from Sudan, where more than 4 million people have been displaced since April.
“Getting things right means doing the right thing. And for that, we must think with our hearts,” she said, citing the example of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who, following the onset of the Syrian Civil War in 2011, made the decision to welcome hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees to Jordan.
“His Majesty knew what mattered most. His heart led his actions. As he put it, ‘There is a hungry child and a desperate mother at our border. How could we not let them in?’” Queen Rania said.
Her Majesty commended the generosity of the people of Jordan, as well as that of host nations currently welcoming refugees fleeing violence in Sudan. However, she stressed that countries that are neighbors to conflict cannot shoulder the burden of refugee hosting alone.
“Since July, the World Food Program has been cutting support for Syrian refugees in Jordan—not because the need has passed, but because new emergencies are breaking out, while donor support has lagged,” she said, adding that 74 percent of the world’s displaced are hosted by low- and middle-income countries.
The Queen also highlighted the unequal global approach to refugee crises, stating that, four months into the war in Sudan, less than 30 percent of donor appeals had been met, while the Ukraine emergency appeal was 70 percent funded within its first month.
“I don’t think we need a supercomputer to explain such discrimination,” Her Majesty said.
“When we demonize people for seeking a better life for their families, we normalize their suffering. We normalize 11 children on average drowning each week in dangerous Mediterranean crossings,” she said. “We normalize people going hungry in a world of plenty—not because we cannot help them, but because we’ve chosen not to.”
During her speech, Queen Rania explained that, in an age where “where AI churns out content and code, and where we’re connected to everything, everywhere, all at once,” it is easy to be distracted and lose focus. However, she stressed that, “progress is not inevitable. It is not automatic. We are the ones who chart the course and hold the wheel.”
“What good is artificial intelligence if we cannot summon authentic empathy with it?” Queen Rania asked.
Drawing on her almost 25 years of experience as Queen of Jordan, Her Majesty shared that, after spending time with some of the world’s most influential leaders as well as some of its most vulnerable communities, her view of leadership has not just shifted, but inverted.
“In refugee camps from Jordan to Greece to Bangladesh, I’ve met people with nothing who still manage to share everything. People brutalized by a selfish world, who still put others’ lives before their own,” she said. “If the world’s most powerless can act with such strength, what does that say about the rest of us?”
Queen Rania also highlighted the role that “learning how to follow” plays in leadership and how it can fuel progress in areas such as climate change, which she described as “an existential challenge that demands a global movement.”
The CogX Global Leadership Summit launched in 2020 under the banner of the CogX Festival, and has since hosted over 3,500 expert speakers from business, government, academia, philanthropy, and other fields. Launched in 2014, the CogX Festival convenes global leaders, the tech industry, and the public for wide-ranging discussions on the implications of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies.

Powering the Future of Mobility: A Deep Dive into the Automotive Hypervisor Market
The automotive industry is undergoing a monumental transformation, shifting from hardware-centric vehicles to sophisticated, software-defined machines. At the heart of this evolution lies the automotive hypervisor – a crucial technology enabling the consolidation of diverse electronic control units (ECUs) and the seamless, secure operation of multiple software systems on a single hardware platform. This blog post delves into the automotive hypervisor market, offering a comprehensive look at its growth drivers, key trends, challenges, and future outlook.
The Genesis of Automotive Hypervisors: Why Now?
Historically, vehicles were a collection of discrete, single-function ECUs. As cars became more complex with the advent of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), infotainment systems, connectivity features, and eventually autonomous driving capabilities, the number of ECUs proliferated, leading to increased complexity, weight, wiring, and cost. This is where automotive hypervisors step in.
A hypervisor, essentially a software layer, allows multiple operating systems (OS) and applications to run concurrently and independently on a single piece of hardware. In an automotive context, this means that safety-critical functions (like braking and steering) can run on one virtual machine with a real-time operating system (RTOS), while less critical functions (like infotainment) can run on another virtual machine with a different OS (e.g., Linux or Android Automotive OS), all sharing the same underlying hardware. This isolation is paramount for functional safety and cybersecurity.
Key Drivers Fueling the Hypervisor Boom
Several factors are converging to accelerate the adoption of automotive hypervisors:
Increasing Complexity of In-Vehicle Electronics: Modern vehicles are mini-supercomputers on wheels, packed with sophisticated ADAS, advanced infotainment, and connectivity features. Hypervisors are essential for managing this escalating complexity, enabling efficient execution of diverse applications on fewer, more powerful ECUs.
Rise of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs): SDVs promise a future where vehicle functionalities are primarily driven by software, allowing for over-the-air (OTA) updates, new feature deployments, and personalized experiences throughout the vehicle's lifespan. Hypervisors are foundational to SDVs, providing the flexibility and isolation needed for this dynamic software environment.
Growing Demand for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving: These systems require immense processing power, real-time performance, and strict safety assurances. Hypervisors enable the consolidation of ADAS functions and the isolation of safety-critical components, crucial for achieving higher levels of autonomy.
Enhanced Safety and Cybersecurity Concerns: With increased connectivity comes increased vulnerability to cyber threats. Hypervisors play a vital role in isolating critical systems from non-critical ones, preventing malicious attacks or software failures from compromising essential vehicle operations. Regulatory standards like ISO 26262 (functional safety) and ISO 21434 (cybersecurity) further push the adoption of hypervisor solutions.
ECU Consolidation and Cost Optimization: By allowing multiple functions to run on a single hardware platform, hypervisors enable automakers to reduce the number of physical ECUs, leading to lower manufacturing costs, reduced weight, and simplified wiring harnesses.
Electrification of Vehicles (EVs): Electric vehicles demand advanced software management for battery management, power distribution, and in-car connectivity. Hypervisors are instrumental in managing these diverse systems efficiently.

Challenges on the Road Ahead
Despite the promising outlook, the automotive hypervisor market faces certain challenges:
High Development and Integration Costs: Designing, developing, and integrating hypervisor solutions into complex automotive architectures can be resource-intensive, particularly when dealing with legacy systems.
Interoperability and Standardization: Ensuring seamless interoperability between hypervisors, different operating systems, and various hardware components from diverse vendors remains a challenge. The lack of universal standards can complicate development and deployment.
Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Concerns: While hypervisors enhance security through isolation, the hypervisor itself becomes a critical attack surface. Robust security measures and continuous updates are crucial to mitigate risks.
Regulatory Compliance: Meeting stringent functional safety standards like ISO 26262 requires rigorous testing and validation, adding to the development timeline and costs.
Leading the Charge: Key Players
The automotive hypervisor market features a competitive landscape with several prominent players. Some of the key companies driving innovation in this space include:
DENSO CORPORATION
Green Hills Software
LUXOFT
Mentor
NXP Semiconductors
Renesas Electronics Corporation
Sasken Technologies Ltd
TCL Communication
Visteon Corporation
Recent developments in the market include acquisitions (e.g., Qualcomm acquiring virtualization assets from OpenSynergy) and collaborations aimed at enhancing safety-critical functions and accelerating the development of software-defined vehicles.
The Road Ahead: A Software-Defined Future
The automotive hypervisor market is undeniably poised for significant expansion. As vehicles become increasingly intelligent, connected, and autonomous, the demand for robust, secure, and efficient virtualization solutions will only intensify. The future of mobility hinges on the ability to manage complex software ecosystems, and automotive hypervisors are the unsung heroes making this transformation a reality. Companies that can effectively address the challenges of integration, standardization, and cybersecurity while delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions will be well-positioned to capitalize on this burgeoning market. The journey towards a fully software-defined vehicle is a marathon, and automotive hypervisors are paving the way.

Chapter 13: New Tech and Training
The supercomputer beeped, processing the data from the latest battle like a hungry fiend.
"Power increases…exceeding expectations. Higher challenge initiated," the computer said, as its output tubes glowed and fed the magenta slime into the water that would usually trek down into the Harbor or lakes of Storybrooke. But this time, the infected water passed through the barrier around the United Realms and into the open waters. It would spread and soon reach the shores of the outside world…
~*~
That morning, Flynn made a trip to Hyde's lab; the one he was supposed to make the day before, but that had been circumvented by the battle in Andresia. He was in a good mood, but then finding out the woman you loved felt the same and was your true love would do that. He blasted two drones on the way to the University, but not even that could ruin his mood.
"Ah…good to see you, lad," Hiram said.
"You guys look like you've been busy," Flynn replied.
"Oh…quite so. We've never had so much fascinating work before and I think you'll be impressed with the prototypes we've come up with for you to test out," Hiram said, as Hyde motioned him over to the table.
"With your biological mother's detailed instructions and blueprints, we were able to replicate the capsule technology. Now, mass production is probably a few years away, but if the University is impressed with the products, then they will likely approve the grants for production," Hyde said. The University was very intrigued with the new technology and had provided the initial investment for them to create the first prototypes.
"Yes…since you are the heir to all of this, you will be our tester," Hiram added.
"Glad to," Flynn replied, as Hyde handed him the first capsule and they stepped outside into the open air of the campus. Flynn pressed the trigger of the capsule and tossed it to the group. With a puff of smoke, a motorcycle appeared.
"Wow…" Flynn said, looking at the sleek design.
"Now…we know you can fly, but we urge you to test it for us," Hiram said.
"Sure…" Flynn replied.
"The wheels also fold under and it becomes a hover bike," Hyde said. Flynn's eyes widened.
"You figured out hover technology?" he asked in shock.
"No…your biological mother did that or perhaps your biological grandfather. The equations were all there for us to experiment with and it works," Hyde replied.
"I didn't think the hover tech was viable unless it was at absolute zero," Flynn said.
"It's not…but like he said, the formulas, equations, and materials are all there in the blueprints," Hiram replied.
"She really was amazing…" Flynn uttered, as he became thoughtful about Bulma.
"Truly…she is someone I would have been honored to meet," Hyde said.
"Yes…now this one you'll want to throw a bit further. It's a prototype for the capsule house," Hiram said, as he did so and was in awe of the structure that appeared before him.
"For plumbing hookups, it's quite easy if you open the control panel and deploy the sanitation system. The pipes burrow into the ground and can connect with existing sewer systems. But they can operate a temporary sanitation system, similar to camping for temporary locations," Hyde explained.
"This is amazing," Flynn said.
"We know that you still live with your parents still, but if you perhaps needed somewhere with a bit of privacy, you could utilize the prototype. There are security windows that are tinted so that no drones can see in," Hiram replied. Flynn grinned.
"I'm sure Ari and I can test this out," he said, as he moved to the last capsule.
"What's this one?" Flynn asked.
"That is what we believe is Saiyan armor. There was a blueprint included with everything else and there is a rough sketch depicting a person wearing it. We are taking a leap and assuming that this is something your mother made for your father, since he would have no longer had access to any new armor," Hyde replied, as Flynn opened the capsule and the case inside, finding the armor and matching boots.
"I think…there was something like this in the books I've been reading, but this looks like a much sleeker, upgraded version," Flynn said.
"Yes…we're hoping you'd test it out too in your training," Hiram said.
"Sure thing…" he said, as he saw two utility belts in the second compartment of the box.
"What are these?" Flynn asked.
"Ah…now those must be used with great consideration and care. They are not experimental and will work as designed, but they could cause serious injury if you and your brother are not ready for them," Hyde warned.
"They are gravity belts. In the blueprints, we found plans for a gravity training chamber, but that would take months to build and we just don't have time," Hiram said.
"We applied the gravity technology into a more mobile version. That belt will increase the gravity just for you and assist in your training. Apparently, your mother built something like this. We assume for your father," Hyde added.
"I wondered if Saiyans were a little touched in the head when I saw this, because who would want to make themselves heavier to the point it feels like their organs are being crushed, but if you can stand it, I suppose it could accelerate your training," Hiram said.
"I think I read that my father's home planet had ten times the normal gravity of Earth. This could really be something!" Flynn exclaimed.
"Touched in the head it is," Hiram muttered in amusement.
"Don't worry…I'm sure we can handle it," Flynn said, capsulizing the box and putting the capsule in his pocket.
"You did amazing work…I guess those business classes I took might come in handy someday, but I'm glad I have you guys in research and development," Flynn said. They nodded.
"The private sector does have its appeal and we're happy to work with such technology while you're fighting to save us all," Hiram said.
"Which means I better head to training for the day," he said, as he capsulized the other items and then flew off for the islands of Mu.

Shin observed the two boys' training through his crystal ball, with a hopeful expression.
"I must admit, they are quite powerful for being mere mortals," Kibito admitted.
"Yes…they have learned so incredibly fast. I'm just not sure it will be enough in time. I have been reviewing this evil's last universe it destroyed. It encountered some very powerful resistance and was weakened significantly, before it ultimately won. It is still recovering and I believe it enjoys playing with Saiyans," Shin said.
"But I fear that it won't be long until it gets serious and I cannot be sure they will be ready by then. We need more time," he added. Kibito sighed.
"Then you are considering bringing them here…where time passes much faster," he said.
"We may need to," Shin confirmed.
"Perhaps this new technology will pay off…but I still think we must consider that he may be the one," he added.
"The one, Sire?" Kibito asked, as he followed his Master's gaze to the z sword, stuck in its stone, where it had remained unmovable for centuries.
"Sire…you can't be serious!? No mere mortal could extract the sword! Not even the greatest Kais have succeeded in that!" Kibito shouted.
"Perhaps it's not just about strength, Kibito…I have learned a sword with a similar story exists in this realm too and every single one from this family had the ability to pull it from its stone without destruction befalling them. It had more to do with the heart than the strength. Perhaps a Kai is not meant to pull it from the stone," Shin suggested.
"Sire…you can't seriously be considering bringing those boys here to train? This is sacred ground! It was bad enough we let their Gods bring their mortal parents here! Had they not held Gaia's chalice, it would have been defilement upon this sacred planet!" Kibito protested.
"Yes…sacred ground for a Kai that has no universe to rule and protect. Do you think such trivialness really matters at this point, Kibito?" Shin asked, with a sharp glance. The white haired man pulled in his horns at that and bowed respectfully.
"I am sorry, Sire…I will respect your decisions," he said, but still was clearly not happy about the prospect of two mortal children traipsing on these grounds.
"If they survive their next challenge…then they will be worthy to ascend to these hallowed training grounds," Shin said. Kibito was silent and did not protest further. He was skeptical that these mortal children could do what a Kai could not.

"Are you sure about this?" Bobby asked.
"No…" Flynn replied.
"Boys…I'm sure Mr. Hyde's invention will work and serve you well," the Dragon said.
"Oh we're not worried about it not working. We're worried about it working too well and being flattened like a pancake," Bobby quipped.
"It does sound dangerous…and your mother is going to kill me if you two end up in the emergency room again," David fretted.
"If it works though…imagine the power leap in such a short time," Mulan said.
"If you two master ten times normal gravity, it will be like your opponents are moving in slow motion around you," she said. They thought about it for a moment and then grinned at each other.
"That would be pretty cool," Flynn said.
"Yeah…let's do this," Bobby replied. David shook his head in amusement, as they each turned their gravity belts on.
"Holy crap!" Bobby cried.
"Shit…" Flynn cursed, as they were both flattened to the ground, muscles straining just to not collapse in on themselves. Bobby used his magic to encase himself in a barrier and the gravity was alleviated a bit. Flynn raised his ki and it was the same, as they slowly pulled themselves to their feet.
"I feel like I weigh a ton," Bobby said.
"Me too…I can't believe this was the gravity all the time on Planet Vegeta," Flynn replied.
"No wonder Saiyans are so strong," he said, as they took a few heavy steps toward each other. It was very slow at first, but they started exchanging simple punches and blocks with each other. As that got easier within an hour, they were onto kicks, both sweating buckets like never before.
"It's getting slightly easier…" Flynn said, through his heavy panting.
"Yeah…I think it is," Bobby agreed, as they kept going.
"Incredible…this shouldn't even be possible," Mulan mentioned.
"No…but it doesn't seem that either of them have any limits. My son is completely human, but you wouldn't know it the way he keeps up with Flynn," David said.
"Your other children could probably do this too," Mulan replied.
"Yeah…but they have families now and I'm reluctant to push them to train at this level. They don't enjoy it like these two and that could be more harm than good," David said. She nodded.
"You're probably right…I think it's all on these two, fair or not," Mulan agreed. He nodded.
"They'll be there to help with magic and even learn ki if they want to, but these two are the hope for this entire world," David said. It was so much to put on their shoulders. His own son had seemingly been born for this. He was like a conductor for all magic and could master it all. Then there was Flynn. He was a troubled teen when Charming had first met him, but even though he had plenty of reason to have mistrust with police and authority, he chose to come forward to tell them what he had overheard. Even with all the unfair things his life had dealt him up to that point, he felt the need to protect the United Realms from what could have been destruction. It turned out he was the first person to ever see Rourke's face and had led them to defeating him in the end.
Now he was fighting and training to protect the United Realms on the front lines this time and was probably the key to saving the entire universe. Their powers still awed him, as he looked at them in the sky now. Despite the overwhelming gravity, they had nearly mastered it in an afternoon and now blazed in the sky in twin orbs of bluish gold and greenish gold. For more than two hours, they both worked on summoning their ki attacks in the increased gravity and even invented some new ones.
"Truly remarkable…" the Dragon commented.
"Yes…they are," a voice said, as they turned and David's eyes widened, as he saw Shin there with his attendant, Kibito. Aphrodite and his twin brother were behind them and he immediately bowed respectfully. The Dragon seemed to know who they were as well and lowered his head in submission.
"Fa Mulan…that is the Supreme Kai! Do not dishonor your father and bow," the Dragon implored and she dropped into a deep bow as well.
"What brings you to the United Realms, if I may ask, Supreme Kai?" David asked respectfully, as his eyes were on the sky.
"It is hard to believe that these mere children have only been training to use ki for a few months. The progress is remarkable in such a short time and I think I have a way they may be able to take it to the next level," Shin said. Kibito grumbled next to him.
"Any help from someone like you would be an honor," David said.
"Yes…in three days time, they will come to the sacred world of the Kai's and train," he announced, as the boys landed on the ground. The brothers exchanged a glance.
"What if there is danger here?" Flynn asked.
"You will bow to your Supreme Kai, boy!" Kibito said sharply, but Shin raised his hand.
"Kibito…I appreciate you defending me, but it is not necessary. He means no disrespect," Shin said. Flynn nodded and bowed.
"No…I don't," Flynn confirmed.
"You have a system of portals, yes?" Shin asked. They nodded.
"Yes…our watches allow us to portal just about anywhere," Bobby replied.
"If there is danger…we will send you back immediately, but I feel that if you come to train on my world, it will push you to the next level in no time. It would be like training for years in just a handful of days," Shin said.
"Wow…really?" Bobby asked. He nodded.
"We accept," Flynn agreed.
"Excellent…your Aunt and Uncle will bring you in three days and then we will see if you are truly the ones that will save the universes," Shin said, as Kibito grumbled beside him.
"Forgive my attendant…he is not happy about mortals being allowed on the sacred grounds, but I am not arrogant enough to hide the fact you will soon surpass even me in power," the Kai revealed. That shocked all of them.
"That…that can't be true," Flynn uttered. Shin smirked.
"You will soon see, young one," he said, as they turned and disappeared through a portal.
"Well…that was unexpected," Bobby said. One cue, their stomachs both let out a loud growl and David chuckled.
"I'd say we should call it a day and meet your mother at Granny's," he said.
"Good…I'm starved," they said simultaneously.
"Training with the Supreme Kai is quite a rare and spectacular honor, young ones. We will all be proud," the Dragon said. They nodded and bowed to their Sensei, as their training ended for the day.

"Major General Gray," the scientist greeted, as the imposing man entered the lab. Being a government black site, most of the lab was filled with brilliant, yet pale and socially awkward scientists that were rarely allowed to leave the vicinity. All the amenities of the outside world were brought to them and they were housed within the government facility. General Gray had been groomed by General Mendoza himself, serving under him almost his entire military career. When the General was killed, his projects had been shut down, thanks to Major General Patricia Donovan, who had sided with the enemy against her country. She was a traitor as far as he was concerned, but she was officially a liaison between the United States and the United Realms. He had been outraged and he wasn't alone. The secret cabal that Clayton had operated with for years was nearly decimated by the Charmings and their magical children, but they didn't get all of them. There was still a faction within most of the powerful institutions in the country and around the world. They were much smaller, but money was still no object and thus this black site had been born. They had their scientists working tirelessly in the past five years to realize weapons that could combat magic and now ki energy as well.
What they had ready was in its infancy, but his scientists believed they were at least ready to test their prototypes. After all, testing them against those they wished to destroy was the only way to learn and make them strong enough to defeat them in the end.
He looked at the test subjects that were ready. Cybernetics were a tricky thing and they were still a ways away from their cyborg subjects being ready for battle. They had found several willing to submit to the cybernetic experiments with the promise of super powers and eternal youth. It was painstaking work though, but robotics was a different story. Their first three prototypes that were ready were fully synthetic. Human looking androids. He had no doubt that these three would be turned to scrap metal upon encountering the Charming whelps, but that was their purpose. To test their enemies and provide mountains of data that could eventually lead them to success.
"How will we lure the Charmings out of their Kingdom? They almost never leave that place," the lead scientist asked. She was one of the best and had her own reasons for hating everything and everyone from that place. Rather than hinder her though, her emotion drove her to see that justice was served.
"Patience Dr. Green…the right opportunity to lure them out will present itself," General Gray said.
"Run the final diagnostics…we will deploy them at the first opportune moment," he said.
