today in "the DC subreddits are talking about so I will too": the inherent tragedy of Clark being insanely fast as Superman, able to save people in the blink of an eye, but because he was surprised by Lex's plan in BVS, he could only stand there in the subsequent explosion at the hearing because he couldn't see the bomb. he's all powerful but not infallible. he was too slow to react not because he wasn't paying attention, but because he truly didn't believe he needed to. who would hide a bomb in an injured man's wheelchair? who would hide a bomb behind lead shielding? and when the explosion hit, you can see how instantly crushed he is. he didn't take off right away, and he didn't try to save anyone (even though there was likely no point, inside the hearing itself). he just stood there for a beat, crushed by his own failure, crushed by this failure in humanity, devastated that being Superman still isn't enough.

Bradley doesn't find out Maverick pulled his papers until the summer of 2001 and the fallout is horrible. 

The flyboys take Bradley’s side, because of course they do — that’s their Baby Goose! Slider and Ice, Mav’s partners for over a decade, leave him. They don't mean to, but Ice’s help in pulling the papers gets him and Slider booted from Bradley’s life too and that destroys them, piece by piece and… well, Slider loved Ice first. Slider ends up siding with Ice, but it’s a terrible situation all around.

No one is happy and everyone is broken. 

So, Maverick finally resolves himself to do something about it.

He packs a bag while he's on leave, marches to the airport and buys a ticket to LA. Bradley is studying at CAU, still desperate to become a pilot. Mav, Ice and Slider have been living in DC as Ice climbs the ranks. 

He thinks nothing of it as he boards a flight with double numbers, because the skies are clear that September morning. 

It’s good flying weather and he's going to finally see his boy again. 

But that’s not the Bradshaw he ends up running into. 😭

Maybe I’m just coping, but here’s why the cliffhanger isn’t absolute hell (also sorry if I’m not the first to say this):

TLDR: Esther’s behavior looks to me like someone who has confirmed that the person in front of her is unconscious and she is only somewhat worried.

From my years of being active as a first aider, what you do if you don’t get a fairly quick response out of someone by verbally or physically addressing them is check their breathing. By holding your hand or cheek or a phone (something that fogs up) etc in front of their mouth and nose. Preferably while tilting their head back but that’s not the point here.

Esther is slapping Leo’s face, and her hand is positioned in front of and near his mouth. After not getting a response, she doesn't appear to progress to the next step of properly checking his breathing.

My impression is that she’s instead attempting to console Adam. Which leads me to believe that she was able to feel Leo breathing. She kept her head cool throughout the episode, so for her to drop the ball on something so big seems unlikely to me. Ideally she would be turning him over to stop him from choking on his own vomit or tongue (especially in contrast to the front of his face leaning on Adam’s thigh making a nice vomit slope into his lungs), but as long as they’re keeping a close eye on him, I won’t complain too much. Thanks for coming to my coping session/special interest oversharing.

Also, maybe it’s obvious that he’s breathing, but I can’t tell with all the movement going on and especially with how heavy Adam is breathing.

So Danny is the new kid at Gotham Academy and on his very first day he gets framed for an explosion in the chemistry lab so that means detention for the year. This also means Danny has to sneak out during detention, gather evidence, and get back before the teacher who is supposed to monitor him gets back from the teacher's lounge, it escalates to him sneaking out at night as well. He's coming up on week three of this when he gets a new friend in detention by the name of Tim Drake who also wants to figure out who destroyed the chemistry lab. Now Danny has to figure out a way out of detention without phasing through the door/walls/floors, or ceiling and to get Tim to stop asking questions. Tim wants to know exactly what Danny's deal is because he's pretty sure Danny's a meta because he's pretty sure he saw him density shift his arm through his locker to get some books when his locker wouldn't open.

I don't know how to start this so I'm just going to jump right into it. (WARNING I suck at spelling so there will probably be tons of errors)

Back when I was 17, me and this other person (who was also 17 who I don't wanna mention for privacy) had a conversation about weird people in the RAE fandom on discord. We talked about how there were so many creeps in the community and they brought up CavitySam. (CS) Then they basically showed me what I'm gonna show you. I've only thought about making a post like this today because I've just been thinking about it a lot. So I went on a search for that disgusting picture (it wasn't hard to find) I was 17 when I found out about all of this stuff so I didn't think it was a good idea to say anything. Now I'm 18 so I feel like I should say something.

(I believe CS goes by she/Her because I've seen people refer to her as such so that's what I'm gonna use.)

I was shown this picture of Beach Bear and Mitzi... and as you can see the artstyle of the nsfw art matches with CavitySam's artstyle.

Here is massive evidence: on the page on the nsfw website there was nsfw of Kedamono that was basically an nsfw version of CS's sfw art of him.

It wasn't some horrible edit. The lewd part matched right with the other line art perfectly like it had always been there.

I do have a Google doc I can link to anyone who wants to see the half censored Pic of Kedamono, Mitzi, and Beach Bear for more proof.

I not trying to say that CS is a full blown ped0 (bc I can't say if that's true or not. I know people have said on other platforms that she is but i can't say for certain) but SHE STILL MADE FULL BLOWN NSFW ART OF BEACH BEAR AND MITZI. THAT'S DISGUSTING. I know a lot of people in the rae community on here. I know that you guys don't support this disgusting stuff.

If you wanna defend CS idc. There's no way that this isn't her art. They look so similar. I would be absolutely shocked if it wasn't. And in all honesty I don't want it to be. I really wish people wouldn't make nasty stuff with Mitzi in it. I believe CS made art for Aaron at one point and knowing that just makes me feel nasty.
