And ordering something you don't like, it is a waste of money. Of course, he can still manage to press it in his mouth, tolerating enough to chew and swallow — but why risking it?

Bruce picks up on this habit of his son in his early days after being freshly adopted. He thinks Jason will get used to it eventually, that he just needs some time to start remembering that, oh, he is rich now. This money means nothing — Bruce will pay. Surely, it can't go forever?

...Except, it can.

Bruce invites Jason to dinner again once, after so many years, to celebrate their reconciliation. As Jason sits down in the same restaurant, at the same place when he was sitting a kid, he orders exactly the same thing he ordered so many years ago. He has no idea why Bruce looks so genuinely sad.
