Dp x dc idea… more of a mini fic 108
Dani is melting in front of Danny’s eyes and Danny is panicking. He reveals that he and Dani are halfas. Begging his parents to help stabilize Dani. That he couldn’t watch her melt away. his parents don’t take it well. Chasing him out of the lab.
He barley got Dani and him out with minimum injuries.
Danny had no access to proper supplies, and risks going to vlad.
Offering to be the perfect son if he saves Dani. Making him promise she would be safe and stable. Telling him all that happened. That his mom wouldn’t accept him, she didn’t even accept Danny.
He has a bad feeling when vlad eye flash red and he agrees.
After a few test the fruitloop announces he got the dna necessary to stabilize her. That he will easily synthesize the necessary components. But he wouldn’t hand over the cure unless Danny proved what he said. That he was capable of following orders and being the perfect son.
He was Holding a vial of some liquid. Telling Danny to drink it.
Vlad wouldn’t kill him right?
So he drinks the mysterious liquid. Last thing he heard was that when he wakes up he and his sister would be safe. Which confused him. Why was Jazz involved.
When he woke up things were too big. Why was everything so big? Looking around they were in a cage… on with no roof. Then he saw Dani. Dani was small. Tiny a mere toddler. Maybe 5 at the most. Wait. No no no. He was the same size.
Vlad: i hear you’re awake little badger. How unfortunate. I was hoping to move the three of us before hand. It’s not as if you’ll remember any of this. I was planning on erasing it once we were across.
Vlad was standing in front of a portal. Not his ghost portal. One separated and with a deficient design.
Vlad: this dimension simply isn’t safe for my little family. I recently recorded an artifact that will allow us to jump dimensions. One time use unfortunately. With no stable portal not even your allies will find us.
Yea. No. That’s not happening. Danny didn’t agree to be turned into a toddler. Nor loose his memories.
He wasn’t going with the fruitloop. He just had to phase out of here. He couldn’t get himself to fully phase. Only a hand.
Vlad who hadn’t even looked up from the now glowing portal: “even you should have realized your powers aren’t working. It’s why i needed more dna samples. To fix both my children. Far to young, body’s to frail to handle them all. You’ll slowly grow into them.”
The fruitloop finally turned to face him and Dani. Approaching them. Picking them up. Did he really just pick him up?
No.
This was not okay with Danny. So he started hitting, kicking and squirming. All while Dani stayed asleep.
Vlad: Daniel behave. Act more like your sister. The portal is only one way trip. You wouldn’t want to be left behind now would you.
The fruitloop was only getting close to the portal. He had to act.
One way trip… Act more like his sister. Act like Dani.
So.
He hit the man as hard as he could. Until the man let go and essentially threw them to the ground oh so close to this new dimension. He didn’t have time to think.
They were so close to the portal.
He just grabbed Dani chucked his shoe at vlad to unbalance the man and fell through the portal.
**
Jonathan and Martha Kent certainly weren’t expecting two toddlers to fall out of the sky into their field. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time they took in two children.
Their oldests could do with some younger siblings.
Even if they did have to coax the two twins?siblings? inside with pie later that night.

AU where Vlad ends up in the ghost zone during his accident: This is somewhat inspired by Gravity Falls (not much but I was thinking about Stan spending decades trying to get the portal working to bring Ford back).
Vlad, Jack and Maddie build somewhat working protoportal in college, which makes Vlad half ghost but also sucks him into the portal. Jack and Maddie are left feeling guilty and blaming themselves.
They have no way of knowing if Vlad survived or became a ghost, but they have faith that he did. They want to believe that he is fine, just stuck. If they could just make a stable working portal they would get him back.
Their life goes on, years pass, they never stop working on the portal. They have to keep going (for Vlad). They can't give up. Multiple times they think they are close, but they are not. Their attempts never work. Not until shortly after Danny's 14th birthday... Jack and Maddie are full of joy. The portal is working! They immediately start to work on specterspeester to be able to go and look for Vlad and maybe in their excitement they miss some other things... But can you blame them, they are so close!
During the night a figure with glowing red eyes walks through the portal. The figure walks through the house looking around. Eventually stopping in front of family portrait in the living room. Vlad picks it up and holds it in his hand only to shatter it and throw it on the ground.
---
There is a new ghost haunting Amity Park. Strong ghost. Danny tries approaching him few times but Danny is new and has barely hang of his most basic powers.

Kingmaker, Kingbreaker, Crowntaker, Realmshaker (DC x DP)
Idk how many people who follow me know but I love my notfics so here...
A Kingmaker Danny Phantom where he's not (technically) king after defeating Pariah Dark because he's still uhm… a child (who is untrained in diplomacy and barely knows anything about Ghost Culture), but whoever replaces Pariah is fully aware than Danny could at any time beat them up and install someone else in their place. Maybe it's not even explicit and Danny doesn't know.
Pandora tells him: "Oh, we got a new king of the ghost zone, nah, you don't know her but she's tight with me and Frostbite. But we're not really having her use the crown and ring, they're going to be for emergencies only." and Danny is like "oh cool, my buddies approve of the new king, I don't need to be further involved!" but because of this assumption, he doesn't go to the coronation, and it turns into a huge source of tension because like:
"Why should we be concerned about any decrees given by the new king, when at literally any moment, Danny Phantom, the BAMF, the myth, the legend, is probably going to show up and give a legendary smackdown and make this ghost Pariah's new roomie?" Then some of Danny's long-time foes start to play very nice with him, in the hopes that when (not if) Danny decides to replace the new king that they might be in the running for a minor barony or something under the new regime. Danny does not think this about-face through, just thinking 'oh this is neat! how convenient that everyone wants to be my friend now!' Ghosts often refer to him as 'ghost child' and I love the idea of him being the little brother of the entirety of the amity park-adjacent section of the infinity realms. Johnny could teach him how to ride a motorbike, skulker could teach him some ghost engineering (assuming he is involved in the construction of his own suit) etc. These rumours of the upcoming 'next king' who doesn't even exist, of course gets back to the new king and she's like
"idk what I have done to anger Kingbreaker Danny, he hasn't even given me a chance!" SO!!! She decides to reach out to some humans she knows for advice on how to win over a little boy (her creepy insinuation very much unintended on her part). Here are some options of varying hilarity for how she could go because I couldn't pick just one!
Vlad!: Your standard, non-crossover option. I personally love redeemed Vlad content (maybe Maddy crosses a line and his Obsession with her snaps), and this could be amusing if the king doesn't give many details so he doesn't realise it's Danny, and then when he does realise, freaks out about having adoptive parent competition.
Constantine/Zatanna: Both magic-y people, they could have summoned her at one point before or after her coronation.
Wonder Woman!!: If the king knows Pandora maybe Pandora referred her as an old buddy of some of the gods or other amazons. The king could just say they need to talk to a human expert not connected to Danny without giving more detail and pandora could say "oh yeah, the gods who created me have some human-ish relatives and one of them even lives with other humans. she's basically my cousin!" meanwhile Diana has never met pandora and doesn't know anything about her outside of the OG myth.
Superman: Danny shares a lot of superman's powers, plus they both have that OP vibe, PLUS share the "one foot in each world" type of thing that could lead the king to think he was the best option. Unsure why they would've met so reaching out as a stranger would add a different vibe.
The Flash: his speed powers canonically come from another dimension that he calls the speed force. do you know what is also another dimension? the ghost zone. The flash is that annoying neighbour who occasionally dangles an extension cord over your fence to use your electricity, and will not stop using your Wi-Fi because it runs faster than his. The king figures he owes her and if he won't then she'll change the speed force Wi-Fi password...metaphorically.
Actually, you know what, ghost king threatening all speedsters on Earth if they don't help her woo a teenager is the funniest option. So, we’re continuing with that. Obviously, the flash doesn't want to lose his abilities! But also, this smacks of a creepy grooming situation. The flash then has to awkwardly explain to the entire justice league that his speed is being held hostage by a dead cougar who wants to seduce a human teenage boy for reasons that may be illicit but are jenky at the very least. There are hundreds of Danny joins the batfam fics so I don't think this story needs to go in that direction, but batman would probably have to be involved at this point just to figure out who the "teenage victim" is. That is how Danny Fenton meets most of the main justice league with them not even having an inkling he's dead/secretly a ghost hero. Most batpham fics I've read where the batclan figures out Phantom's identity, they see him fight ghosts and look up ghost experts, find his parents, see a family photo and then make the visual connection. Like superman, Danny's identity is mostly in the clear because no one would think that a ghost would even have a secret identity - he's dead (and thanks to the time travel he's done appears to have been dead for centuries), who would he need to be protecting?? But this time, the ghosts are all playing buddy-buddy with Danny so phantom hasn't necessarily had any super public fights recently that would make investigating protections against ghost attacks a priority for the bats that would lead them to holding up a picture of Danny next to a picture of phantom. Mostly, Danny goes ghost to play with cujo (I love cujo), or visit the ghost zone. Casper high students are BAFFLED at Fenton's eclectic friend group btw, though considering his parents the ghost dog totally tracks for them. *GASP* service dog Cujo....but that's another post for another time. Jasmine Fenton is not impressed. This could also be Sam or Tucker, or any of Danny's newest ghost buddies if you like but as an oldest sibling I have OPINIONS. She thinks Danny is safest taking this perv ghost on himself and not risking a possessed/overshadowed justice league or even just the justice league themselves. That's right kids, the justice league is often in canon closely associated with the USA government - the same government who put the anti-ecto acts into place. NOW! a lot of crossover fics have the justice league completely clueless about the anti-ecto laws and GIW. I don't always find that realistic. The entirety of the justice league dark is pretty closely involved with the dead and ghosts (deadman IS a ghost), clark is an investigative journalist married/dating/besties with another, award winning investigative journalist, Bruce is the most paranoid and well informed man alive with two sons plus one batgirl who have died and been brought back through mystical or scientific means, Diana is (in some canons) meant to be an ambassador representing her people to the entirety of mankind. So, none of them even being vaguely aware of this new law does NOT track for me. I think a few possibilities are...possible: - They know about the laws, read a few scientific papers on ecto-entities written by "experts" which would include the Fenton parents and pre-redemption Vlad, and think 'yeah that checks out no reason to fight this' - They know but as they rarely deal with the national justice system as a team, and therefore don't think about it as a positive or negative thing. It doesn't apply to their lives. Think about how much you know about your local laws, let alone obscure federal ones (in some parts of Australia it’s illegal to be holding more than 50kg of potatoes, just as a random example!). - Some of them agree with the "experts" or don't even know about the laws, whereas Batman, John Constantine and Martian Manhunter know they're a crock of shit but themselves lack the political capital to fight them without leverage and can't justify it without an emergency.
Danny's ghost buddies are told that apparently some ghost is threatening the justice league to get to Danny and go back into the zone to investigate. I genuinely think once their obsessions are no longer at cross purposes, Danny could totally help ghosts to fulfil their obsessions in ways they hadn't considered, and they could be buddies for real now. Think Tucker setting Ember up with a YouTube or streaming account, playing paintball with Skulker, introducing Walker to one of those uber-elaborate RPG or tabletop games with massive amounts of rules and letting him be like Matt Mercer in the Rules Lawyer round of Um, Actually. There’s an entire separate fic here I swear.
Either way! Jazz is trying to warn her brother away from the justice league while he and probably Tucker are all 🤩. Danny knows it's dangerous for him personally but his Obsession with protecting the town knows that Amity has never been safer with all these heroes milling about so it's hard for him not to be over eager and relaxed. The flash is explaining how his powers could be removed if he doesn’t comply and Danny says, “oh then just tell her?” and the league is like “oh no, not another self-sacrificing teen.” Unfortunately for everyone involved, Superman has super hearing. He heard Jazz telling Danny to kick the Justice League to the curb. Now the Justice League thinks there's something foul in the Fenton household, but they think it's Jazz instead of Danny.

lying in bed making myself sad about cartoon characters this fine night. Showing in Brain Theater tonight: “what if Maddie vivisected Vlad”
Danny, in a fit of frustration after fighting Plasmius and getting beat up Yet Again, or maybe to test the waters for how his parents would react to “someone you know is a half-ghost”, tells them.
Jack is shocked. Heartbroken. Disbelieving. My man Vladdie? A ghost? How??
Maddie is less disbelieving. She’s gotten the chance to study ecto-acne now. For it to reoccur after so long must mean there’s something ectoplasmic highly integrated into Vlad’s body.
Also…
When she shows up at his door with Ghost Catching gear, she gets to finally let out everything she’s been building up, simmering and repressing.
“He was my friend!” she gets to shout at a trapped Plasmius. “And he changed, after the accident. He got selfish and possessive and cruel and—and mean. Obsessed. And maybe he was always a bit petty. He was always a little selfish. He was a business major, after all.” (“Hey,” Vlad says.) “But he was never mean like that. And he was never possessive, or cruel. And I wondered how that happened. How the Vlad I knew in college could have turned into that. But that wasn’t him, was it? It was you. You’ve been possessing Vlad for twenty years, warping him, twisting him, making him cruel and obsessed, the way ghosts are! That wasn’t Vlad, it was you.” Plasmius trues to protest. That isn’t how it works. This is him.
But in the choice between believing that her friend from college doesn’t see her as a whole person, but a malleable romantic prize that he was Owed and Still Deserves, that that was his angle and the friendship wasn’t real, that maybe that was what he was thinking every time they talked, every time she thought they were friends, all along… (and maybe, just maybe, that his resentment kind of has grounds, actually, that she and Jack weren’t good friends to him after the accident, were they)… or that he’s been taken over by a ghost and all the bad things he’s done since then are due to ghostly influence twisting him into a monster…
One of those is emotionally much easier to believe than the other.
“I’m going to get the ghost out of you, Vlad,” Maddie says, firing up some scary looking equipment. “And see if there’s anything of you left.”
And then there’s Vlad, strapped to a lab table, realizing that the docile and beautiful Maddie in his head who just needs to be separated from the corrupting influence of Jack and then she’ll be his ~Perfect Wife~ that she should have been is not real. That he’s been denying her involvement in the Ghost Portal Incident when it was her goddamn idea. He’s been mentally writing her out of all of her own ghost science, blaming it on Jack when, no, she is Like This all on her own and will never not be Like This. Both of them staring at the other, red eyes meeting red goggles, and neither wanting to believe in the real person in front of them, preferring to see each other as an idealized memory rather than face who they actually are as people.
And, maybe the ghost part of Vlad was affecting him, amplifying feelings that were already there in him, making him obsessive, unable to let go… but at the same time, if he isn’t the same person at 42 as he was at 22, who ever is?
The ecto-scalpel comes down. They’re both hurting.

So if you’re new to the Danny Phantom fandom whether that be because you have joined us via a crossover, the new graphic novel coming out or just somehow got hooked into this fandom there are a few things you should know.
90% of content you will see is purely fanon lore.
I’m gonna divide this into two different sections, going over what is canon and then the most common things from fanon.
So if you go by the show, we have at least three different kinds of ghosts. We have ones like the Fright Knight who is a spirit formed from the feelings and beliefs of people surrounding the thoughts of Halloween and we have ones who were once humans like Sidney Poindexter and Desiree. There are also some who are the product of two different ghosts like Box Lunch. We technically also have the Ancients, but we don’t know anything about them except that they existed many years ago and then they enclosed Pariah Dark in the Sarcophagus of Forever sleep.
We know that a high concentration of ectoplasm introduced very quickly can causes human to turn into a half ghost. This happened with Danny at least 3 times, and the accident Vlad had (as well as Jack in an alternate timeline). Danny was changed twice by the portal and then once by being blasted by a bunch of ectoplasm.
In canon, the Fenton parents are very loving parents with just a bit of absent mindedness to them that leads to them missing the obvious signs that something is up with Danny. Every time in the show that he is exposed to them, he is accepted by them entirely. Even when in an alternate timeline where his parents never got together, he is accepted by them.
In canon, Jazz started out not knowing how to help Danny, Tucker and Sam, but it is shown in the show that she trains to be better later on. She still calls the ghosts by things she designated them as though, not how they would like to be called.
In canon, Vlad is awful. He regularly tries to Hamlet the main character. He tried to ruin/kill Jack to get with Maddie and make their kids his kids many, many times. He cloned a child, gaslit the clones into thinking he cared for them and then planned to melt them down to have his “perfect son”. In canon of the show, Vlad is not redeemable. (This sorta changes a bit in the graphic novel, but it’s a toss up whether that is actually considered active canon or if it’s its own canon now.)
In canon, Tucker is a genius after he was forced to sit through 12 hours of study programming. In canon, he is the reincarnation of a Pharaoh. He can speak a made-up language, Esperanto, and can hack into nearly every piece of tech he comes across.
In canon, Sam is obsessed with all things goth and so has tomes about magical beings and artifacts. She is athletic and is always ready to throw down. She only has plant powers in the episode “Urban Jungle”.
Now onto the Fanon, at least the most popular headcanons that I have come across.
The most common thing among the fandom is that Danny is half-dead. Some have him a ghost possessing his own corpse. Some have him be Schrodinger’s boy. Some have him have lower vitals or just no vital signs altogether. He is said to have died and not come back all the way or right. Common things have him be cold to the touch, a lower heart rate, and him forgetting to breathe entirely.
Probably the second most common headcanon is that Danny is the Ghost King after having fought and defeated Pariah Dark in single combat. Ways he takes the throne are varied, everything from him being forcibly put onto the throne and unable to go to the human world, to having to name Jazz or Maddie as regent until he reaches either human or ghostly majority, to him taking the throne but it being more of a figurehead thing. Most stories will have him have a plethora of titles and names he goes by. Along with this he now has a lair inside the Zone, most have him taking over Pariah’s Keep and some do have him have his own new lair.
Another popular headcanon is Ancient of Space or the Balance Danny (going with AGIT, the balance actually is now canon). These lead to things like Danny having an eldritch form. Something that is obviously “other” and hurts to perceive.
Both of these result in an OP Danny and probably around half of them will have him stuck at 14 and/or functionally immortal.
Another very common DP headcanon is Bad Fenton Parents and that their research caused the GIW’s formation. Alongside that come the most common type of fic you will come across which is where Danny has been captured by either the GIW or his parents and then is vivisected. Majority of them will have him vivisected by his own parents. Many of them will have them be varying levels of neglectful, from just not noticing things about their kids to straight up forgetting they were there and Jazz having to take care of them both.
In most fanon, the GIW are actively trying to genocide an entire species. This is closest to a canon thing considering that they did try to nuke the GZ, which would have resulted in their universe also collapsing. The things that some people write/draw for the atrocities the GIW and Bad!Fentons are things that I bring up to my therapist frequently. Be prepared for descriptive gore.
There are a few characters that have spawned in fanon that are widely accepted as canon characters now. The main one is Wes Weston along with his brother Kyle. Wes Weston was a background character that we see for about 3 frames in one episode, but he looked similar to Danny and had green eyes and the fandom latched onto that. It started out with someone claiming the A-listers would think that Wes is Phantom because he’s athletic, had the same build and green eyes. From there, the fandom has decided that he also is the only person to figure out that Danny was Phantom and tries frequently to expose him. Kyle Weston is Wes’ older brother, in the same class as Jazz and he doesn’t believe that ghosts are real and is played for gags a lot.
Another major piece of fanon lore is ghost cores. This stems from a remark Frostbite said talking about Danny’s core temperature and the fans took it and ran with it. In fanon there’s all kinds of different types of ghost cores, usually an element or an aspect of existence. Many have Danny possess an ice core, in some he has a space core. Others take his “death” into consideration and believe him to have an electric core. Commonly people have Vlad have a fire core. Usually cores are an orb that a ghost can retreat into to heal. If the core is shattered, the ghost is ended and no longer exists in any capacity.
Similar to cores is obsessions. These are essentially the purpose of the ghost, their drive and purpose. Skulker’s is hunting, Ember’s is recognition etc. Most give Danny a protection obsession, but will sometimes give him a space obsession.
Something that has gained traction in the last few years (to my knowledge mostly since the pandemic) is liminality. Liminality is where people are contaminated with ectoplasm due to overexposure or ingestion of it and it gives them ghostly abilities. Different people have liminality give people different abilities. Some have glowing eyes, lengthened canines and pointed ears. Some have enhanced senses, strength and speed as well as extra durability. Some have eyes that reflect like a cats and night vision. Some even go so far as give them at least one of the major ghostly abilities.
How someone becomes liminal differ depending on if the writer wishes to have it just be main characters or if it’s the entire town. If it’s just main characters then usually their frequent exposure to ghostly things as well as close proximity to it makes them liminal. For the whole town people will usually have the portal give off essentially radiation or when the town was pulled into the GZ be the cause.
Frequently Sam, Tucker and to a lesser extent Jazz are given extra abilities. Sam usually has residual powers from her time possessed by Undergrowth, Tucker usually has some form of techno Nancy and Jazz usually has some sort of empathetic ability, if not that she get’s the basic extra strength, speed, durability and senses.
There are some lesser known ones that should at least be mentioned in case you come across them. One of those being ghost hunger. This is where ghosts or liminals thirst for ectoplasm similar to how vampires thirst for blood. Another common thing is that ghosts socialize by fighting. That most of the fights are ghosts greeting the baby ghost. The last thing is that the main characters are known as Team Phantom.
I’m probably going to think of more later and I’ll post when I do, but this is the basics that I could remember on the fly. I hope this helps people!!

While we complain about the lack of exploration of Vlad's past and his relationship with Jack and Maddie in his college years, i think there is another thing that could be seen as parallel to how his past was like: Valerie's character
Valerie shares quite a lot of things in common with Vlad. Losing everything because of what could be considered an accident; getting obsessed with getting back at the person who caused it, in this case being Phantom; becoming morally questionable over time, feeling like she is on her own; being abandoned by her friend circle after the accident, etc.
In a way Valerie could be seen as a parallel to how Vlad acted after the proto-portal accident and spending all those years in hospitals. Maybe not exactly the same but sharing some similarities.
The main difference is that Valerie lets go of this obsession over time and somewhat changes her view about ghosts. She befriends Danny, teams up with Phantom a few times and sees that not all ghosts are evil. It is her not letting her anger completely consume her and using her abilities to protect others that sets her path from Vlad's

Daniel Masters AU
So this is brought to you by a fever dream at 6 in the morning. In this au, one Vlad Plasmius partakes in the noble and completely not illegal act of cradle robbing. And by cradle robbing I mean kidnapping toddler Danny because he is a batty old ghost with a family obsession and no morals. (I've decided to change his obsession from maddie to family. No I don't take criticism)
Vlad kidnaps Danny with the intention of turning him into a halfa too.......the only problem is that the portal he's trying to make isn't functional. yet. So in the meanwhile he's gotta juggle making the portal and taking care of Danny in his Wisconsin manor.
This leads to many shenanigans, sleepless and tired Vlad who has no idea how to take care of children + one baby Danny = c h a o s
A year passes by and finally, the portal is up and working and the big moment finally comes. Vlad places Danny as gently as he can, into the portal and turns it on.
.
Except he doesn't.
He can't
Because all he can see as his index finger hovers over the button are cold linoleum tiles of a hospital. Harsh florescence of lights overhead. Faces of people he doesn't know, covered by surgical masks. All he can hear are the squeaking of stretcher wheels, the beeping of monitors, muffled voices he cannot understand.
All he can feel is fire.
....
The next thing he knows, little Daniel is in his arms again.
His feet are lead, unmoving. His arms are steel, wrapped securely around Daniel's still slumbering form. And that's how they stay all afternoon, in front of the empty portal.
Thats fine. In the end, he cannot do it. That's fine. Daniel doesn't have to be a halfa to be his son. Little badger was his the moment he was born. Jack would never be a factor. Maddie would never be a factor. They wouldn't even be in the equation.
(And isn't that exactly what they deserve? They left him. They left him to burn and they never looked back they laughed as fire licked at his heels they left him they left him they lef-)
-------------------------------------------------
They never figured out what happened to their Danny. Years and years of missing posters and sleepless nights and tears and research– it was like he never existed.
The only clue to what might've happened to their boy was a single splatter of ectoplasm on the floor
They would find their son. Or they would die trying.
-------------------------------------------------
One fine sunday night, one Daniel Masters stumbles into a secret basement in his house.
........................................................................................................................................................
There's gonna be updates on this cayse I'm sleep deprived rn and it's not as well written as I wish it could be.
This started out as crack and kinda got serious and I'd like ro establish that Vlad isn't going to be a "good" character. He is narcissistic, self serving, controlling and deliberately keeps things from Danny. He basically just ignores the fact that he stole Danny and tries to convince himself that Danny is his. His ghostly nature only makes it worse.
However, he does genuinely love Danny. Not when he first kidnapped him, at that time he only cared about hurting jack and maddie and fulfilling his family obsession. But over the course of the year he spends with Danny, he starts to care for him. Their relationship will eventually be fixed. It'll probably never be okay but Vlad will do anything it takes for him to not hurt Danny anymore. He will find a way to be better. And even if no amount of apologies will make up for what he did, he will still apologize.
The Fentons aren't going to be good either. They have very fixed views on ghosts and it's only increased due to the cradle robbing. They are even more ruthless and cold. They throw themselves into their research even more. Danny is absolutely terrified of them. And they're completely convinced that Danny stole their kid. (Will elaborate later) But they too will learn eventually.
Jazz grows up with her parents constantly working on their ghost research and projects, and she doesn't really believe in it. She grows up with the faint memory of a brother she doesn't know. And even though he parents love her, she wishes that they could let go.
Sam and Tucker will be explored in later posts
@little-pondhead I did a thing

Learning From The Past
This is kinda of an AU to my other post Here but long story short, Valerie wound up with an Obsession with Phantom due to all her ghost tech, and after finding out the full truth about Danny her Obsession shifted to be about Love for Danny rather than Hate for Phantom.
This post is for the better future happy version of that prompt.
In my initial idea, part of the reason Valerie’s positive emotions won over her desire for vengeance is because she already had protective instincts and more selfless ideals due to her career as a vigilante. How much of an effect would all that have on her Obsession and how that Obsession is fulfilled?
Vlad’s “Love” for Maddie was toxic and corrupt beyond all reasonable doubt, but one could easily say that was at least partially because Vlad might not of been a very good person to begin with and spent months stewing in his hate and jealousy while he slowly died in the hospital. Valerie, on the other hand, was continuously putting her life on the line, sacrificing her free time and freedom, grades, sleep and mental health to help people while expecting nothing in return. At first she was just out for vengeance but as time went on she grew to be a proper Hero. And the only reason she broke up with Danny in the first place was to protect him. So when her Obsession changes from Hate to Love all these positive emotions and protective instincts go into over drive.
So her Obsession for Danny is and Obsession, most definitely kind of (very) creepy in how deep it goes, but it’s also like? Weirdly?? Wholesome??? I’m just picturing Valerie being ultra supportive and caring for Danny.
Danny: sneezes once and groans about getting sick for the first time sense the accident. Valerie: come flying in at Mach 2.5 on her hover board carrying a mountain of blankets, tea, medicine and Disney movies “oh poor baby, no no, go back to bed now you need Rest!”
When Danny become ghost king and grows more powerful than every other being in the infinite realms all his rouges stop attacking, but not because he’s ghost king now. They all stop attacking because every time they try the see Valerie just creepily lurking in the shadows with a gun.
Danny who just saw his rouge go pale as a ghost and run away in terror: Man I’m so scary and cool.

Obsession Rejected Part 1
Hi, I wrote again. this is about the rejected soulmate Au that I saw on @im-totally-not-an-alien-2
Warnings: Unhealthy behaviors, Yandere Danny, off screen character death, obsessive and possessive behavior. Let me know if I need to add more and I will be adding more as the series goes on.
Please read carefully and safely.
Word Count: 1000
Ao3: here
Tim Drake was only 10 years old when he made what was probably the worst mistake of his life. Who knew just one word could change everything.
‘Stop.’
He never would have written it if he had any idea of what would come of it. But he wrote it, and to be fair to Tim, he was under a lot of pressure. Between school never challenging him, his lack of friends his age, and most recently his promotion to Robin.
Being a vigilante was dangerous work. Hell the main reason he was one was because another had died. Of course he didn’t want to hurt a potential partner by being forcefully ripped away from them by the cold hands of death, rather deciding to reject his soulmate. 10 year old Tim Drake thought it would be so much less painful. He knew cutting off a soulmate could be painful on both sides, but every account he found also said that rejection was better than the death of a soulmate
It was one account by an unhappy couple. They weren’t even really soulmates. They weren’t exposed until a week after the deed was done.
At 10 years old Danny Fenton decided that the universe must hate him. How else could he explain the pain? The pain stemmed from one little word between the constellations carefully and painstakingly drawn on his arm. It was the worst thing he had ever experienced, only rivaled by his own death; but even then the hole he felt when he woke up that night trumped his death.
It was so sudden too. Danny was asleep when it had happened and the only person who would have comforted him was away! Jazz was sleeping over at a friend's house that night! He went to his parents that night but they didn’t do anything. Just hugged him, and told him to go back to bed and that they would talk in the morning. They forgot. Brushed him off and went down to the lab to tinker with that stupid portal!
Jazz came home that afternoon to a sobbing little brother and held him. She tried to argue with their parents that this was a massive deal, but they brushed her off too. Said that Maddie was fine when she broke her bond with their uncle Vlad in college.
She was fine. Vlad wasn’t. There's a reason he's like that.
Later when Danny was 14 the portal that sucked away his parents attention was completed and it didn’t even work. I practically ruined his and his sister’s childhoods and it had the audacity to not even work!
It did work. He made it work. He turned it on.
Danny had spent a lot of time down in the lab before the accident, back when he still wanted his parents approval their love. He listened to their ramblings, about how ghosts are not sentient, about how they are pure evil, about how they are only driven by instinct and impulse. They were so wrong about most things, but they did nail a few.
Like how ghosts are prone to impulsive, and sometimes even intrusive thoughts. But it's not because they are so unintelligent that they don't have any higher understanding other than base needs, it's because they are beings of emotion. The same goes for Halfas like Vlad and Danny.
Leaving his original haunt was not a part of Danny’s plan. He never thought it would happen. After all it’s his haunt. But when everything came crashing down he knew it was time.
Jazz had died. She was caught in the crossfire of a fight between some ghost and the GIW. he didn’t remember, he was too lost in his grief to fully recall what happened but all he remembered was screaming. And that the other ghost didn’t make it out. He made sure of it.
Tucker and Sam had moved on. Both to larger cities than Amity Park. Tucker even found his soulmate there, some fancy IT guy. But eventually they lost contact with him.
He was starting to get unstable. They could see it but they had no idea how to help. He was starting to act like Vlad. To Amity Parkers they could see that Phantom was getting more and more irritated, that he wasn’t as kind as he used to be. The press always loved to rag on him and tell the public how dangerous he is.
So he left. He didn’t take anything, just turned off the portal and created his own and flew. He was unwanted.
But he knew he couldn’t fly forever, he needed a haunt. He had his lair in the Zone, but he needed a living world counterpart. Then he found it. The ideal universe for him. The world he found was situated relatively close to his keep so he had easy access to it and it felt right. Like Clockwork dragged it over there himself.
But in his special little universe he decides to make his Haunt. Nothing fancy, just his little space, in what has to be his favorite city he’s found. Gotham. The dark city was full of ambient ectoplasm, the gothic look reminded him of Sam, and Wayne Industries reminded him of Tucker. And it was full of empty buildings no one would think twice about. So he created his own little nest. But something was wrong. He was missing something.
His obsession. He was missing his obsession. Jazz was the only thing he could reliably feed his obsession with, and with her gone it was only a matter of time before he started to fade. His gaze drifted to his arm, ‘Stop’ still engraved in black pen. His soulmate.
Danny rises from his curled form and fades out of visibility, core quietly humming as it searches for the ghostly claim of his soulmate. Danny refused to be alone again.
And nothing short of shattering his core would stop him from having his soulmate, rejection or not.

Story Summary: Now that his father knows, Danny's life is changing for the better. Jack encourages him to let his friends and the rest of the family into his small word. Unbeknownst to Danny, Jack is secretly worried about how Maddie will react to the news upon her return to Amity - and how to confront Vlad once Jack learns his true identity. Amidst it all, an enemy lurks and plots their revenge.
Chapter 1 of 11: Believing in You
AO3
Tumblr Chapter Two
Beta by: @probably-dead and @scarletsaphire!
~~~~~~
Jack sighed as slick green ectoplasm coated his hands.
“Again, Danny?” He grumbled, deftly running the needle and thread through the injury on his son’s upper right bicep.
“Blame Skulker!” Danny whined, an ice pack of his own creation in his other hand, pressed to the bruise growing on his face.
Jack wanted to scream internally, to beg his son to stop doing all of these stupid fights, to let Jack handle it, Jack was the professional ghost hunter here. But he knew it wouldn’t do anything except encourage Danny to start hiding injuries again and stop coming to his father for help. As noble as it was that one of Danny’s Obsessions was protection, Jack often wished it wasn’t, especially in the past two weeks since the night in the clearing.
Danny had stopped hiding his injuries, hiding how often he left the house in the middle of the night and Jack had been relieved at first. Now, however, stitching up a wound on his son for the tenth time in fourteen days, Jack wanted nothing more than for his son to live a normal life.
But Danny never would lead a normal life. Jack’s own invention had stolen away that ability, embedded the need to protect into Danny’s very DNA as it took his life and gave it back. The only thing that could stop the drive to save people was if Danny got sufficiently distracted by the stars or astronomy, Jack had realized. But that was easier said than done.
So all Jack could do was try to help his son however he could, give him the medical attention he couldn’t get anywhere else.
It had been a month since Jack had watched Danny’s goodbye video and learned his secret, and his whole world had been turned entirely upside down since then. He wouldn’t trade it for anything, though. Danny was talking to him, enjoying spending time with him. And while he still left a lot at night, he woke Jack up before he left. Someone in this world knew what he was doing and where he was.
He decided to change topics. “So are you going to tell them this weekend?” Jack asked.
“Daaad… you know why I haven’t told them.”
“You need to, son. I still don’t understand why you don’t want to.”
“Because! This secret is hard to keep. It’s a burden. I don’t want to bother them.”
“It isn’t a burden for the people who love you to help you, Danny.” Jack said, snipping off the thread after the final stitch.
“It’s different. You’re my dad. You’re like, contractually obligated to love me. Sam and Tuck… we’re just friends.” Danny said, shifting back to human now that the wound was tended to, forming a mirror of ice to check his face, the bruise already rapidly disappearing.
Sometimes Jack wondered if it made him a bad father that he didn’t stop Danny from doing these things, that he was personally tending major injuries at home. Then Jack remembered that denial of an Obsession could shatter Danny’s core and kill him, remembered that the Guys in White would be called if the hospital so much as looked at Danny’s blood samples. He felt a little better as a father then. So long as he didn’t think about why his son was like this.
That portal was a source of a lot of self-doubt, now that he knew.
“You say that, yet you didn’t tell me until much later.” Jack pointed out, pulling the stained gloves off and flexing his bare hands.
“You were shooting me, in my defense.” Danny replied, though his tone was playful. Jack’s stomach twisted. He didn’t say it with anger or blame but Jack didn’t think he’d ever stop feeling bad for shooting Danny so often, even if Danny didn’t seem to hold it against his father.
“And how have Sam and Tucker reacted to Phantom?”
Danny fidgeted, refusing to look Jack in the eye. “They were some of the first in the school to support Inviso-bill.” He admitted.
“Danny… you three have been friends practically since diapers. You thought the worst of me with valid reason. You’re thinking the worst of them despite not having one. What could they do to earn your trust, like I did, if they’re already supportive?”
“It’s just… I’m scared, okay? I’m worried about burdening them or them finding out and being fine and then getting upset and outing me or them thinking I’m a freak or -“
“Stop.” Jack said, grabbing at Danny’s shoulders, careful to avoid jostling the wound on his right arm.
Danny just looked down at the floor, fidgeting with his hands, the bruise almost entirely faded from his face.
“Please, son. What do you do for fun?”
“I play video games!” He protested.
“When was the last time you played one?”
He remained silent.
“When was the last time you didn’t patrol?”
Silence.
“You need to have fun, Danny. I know it’s scary to tell them such a big secret, I know. But please, will you try to talk to them? For me?”
Danny just continued messing with his hands, twisting and pulling anxiously. “How do I even start that conversation? ‘Hey guys sorry I lied but I’m a dead superhero and didn’t trust you enough to tell you’? If I get this wrong…”
Jack tactfully elected to ignore the ‘I’m dead’ part of that comment. “Danny, I can promise you without a doubt, even if you get this wrong, they won’t shout your secret identity from the rooftops, okay? But you can’t just live life doing nothing but homework and saving people.”
“I…I’ll consider it, okay?” Danny finally yielded, still looking at the ground, worry in his tone.
“That’s all I ask, Danno. You deserve to not be alone.”
“Thanks, Dad.”
“I love you, son.” Jack said, ruffling Danny’s black hair with a grin. The action finally pulled a partial smile to Danny’s face as he whacked at Jack’s hands.
Danny’s hair felt so different as Fenton than as Phantom, much more like human hair but still just a little… off. Most of his son felt a little off, now. Jack wondered if Vlad was just as off as Danny was. Jack still hadn’t mentioned to Danny that he’d accidentally outed Vlad as well, still hadn’t confronted his long time friend. Jack would be lying if he said Vlad wasn’t a major reason he was trying to encourage Danny back to his friends. Vlad had suffered for two decades by himself and Jack would not let Danny be lonely like that.
As they separated and Danny headed back to bed - it was one in the morning after all - Jack sighed again as he went upstairs. He hoped Danny would talk to his friends. As much as he was thrilled he could help Danny now, there were things he couldn’t do, and providing an adequate social life was among those things. He needed friends his age, he needed to spend time doing fun things. Things other than patrolling for ghosts and getting stabbed and blown up and…
Jack collapsed to the bed, holding his head in his hands. They had just over two weeks until Maddie returned from the conference and Jack was ashamed to admit he was worried. He loved his wife and had the utmost faith in her… but he also knew how adamantly she pursued ghosts. How she pursued Phantom specifically.
Would she accept Danny? Would she only pretend to? Would Danny end up back on a steel table, under his mother’s scalpel this time? Would she even pretend, if she didn’t accept him, or would she go straight to shooting?
As much as he loved Maddie, he loved his children more. What would they do if she didn’t accept him, didn’t accept that ghosts were so much more than they thought?
Sleep fought him and when he did finally find rest, his wife was the center of his nightmares.
~~~~~~
Tucker quietly picked up his backpack, giving Sam a friendly wave and smile as they split off, headed towards their first classes of the day. He slid into his seat, pulling out a notebook and pen from his backpack as the bell rang.
It was several minutes later when the door opened again and Danny slipped into the room.
“Again, Mr. Fenton?” Mr. Falluca said.
“I have a note from my dad.” Danny said, holding up the crumpled paper.
“Bring it to me.” The teacher said, sighing in irritation. Danny had been running late all year - a trend he’d started at the beginning of the previous school year. Tucker didn’t know why, Danny had never told him or Sam what his deal was, why he disappeared and blew them off constantly. The notes were new, though.
“How often does your family have car troubles?” Mr. Falluca asked, handing the note back to Danny. “This is the third time this week.”
Danny shrugged. “Have you seen the modified RV my family drives?”
Tucker had to bury a snicker, because, yes, he was fully acquainted with the Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle, even before the ghosts had come. As wild as the thing was, he did still have fond memories of going camping in it with Danny and his family, back when life was normal and ghosts were something his best friend’s crazy parents looked for.
Tucker watched as Danny settled into his seat, near the door.
But those memories were from before his best friend had lied to him and cut him off.
Tucker knew Danny had lied last year when he pushed Tucker and Sam away, after months of being inconsistent and lying. Tucker wasn’t oblivious, he saw the longing way Danny looked at the two of them when he thought they couldn’t see him. And, honestly, Tucker missed him too. He knew Sam did as well. The three of them… well, it needed to be the three of them. Danny was a glue that held his and Sam’s opposite personalities together and smoothed their rough edges. It was still just him and Sam, but they didn’t hang out like the three of them used to.
There was a hollow ache in his chest when he thought about Danny, sometimes. It felt like grief, but that couldn’t be right. Danny was still alive, even if he wasn’t as close to Tucker anymore and it wasn’t like he was in love with Danny. So why did his heart hurt if he thought of Danny for too long?
Tucker made himself focus on class, even as he felt Danny’s eyes boring into his back. It had been over a year now, and Danny’s presence still hurt.
He was thoroughly surprised, then, when Danny stopped him as soon as Tucker left the room at the end of class.
“Uh, hey, Tuck.” Danny said, rubbing at the back of his neck awkwardly.
“Hey, Danny. What’s up?” Tucker said, though it did hurt a little bit that Danny felt awkward around him, awkward enough for his nervous habits to kick in.
“Uh. Um. I… can we meet up after school? The three of us?”
“You wanting to talk to us again?” Tucker asked, more anger in his voice than he meant.
Danny flinched and looked down, shuffling his shoes. “I owe you guys an explanation.”
“Yeah. You do.” Sam said, joining the conversation, probably having come for him when he wasn’t at his locker.
Danny took a step back away from them, still not looking at them. “After school, the park down the street? I… I can explain.” The next bit was spoken so softly Tucker barely heard it. “And hope you don’t hate me at the end of it.”
“Fine. Maybe you’ll actually show up.” Sam said, grabbing Tucker and pulling him away, leaving Danny alone in the hallway.
“Do you think he’ll actually be there?” Tucker asked, letting Sam drag him.
“I’d have more faith that the next time the Box Ghost shows up, he has suddenly stopped shouting ‘beware,’” Sam answered, though she released her grip on his arm as they turned the corner and Danny fell out of sight.
“I hope he shows up.” Tucker said, sighing. He missed Danny so much.
“So do I.” Sam whispered, a meaningful glance passing between the two of them. She missed him, too. She missed what their lives used to be. They were outcasts, yes, but they’d had each other, at least. The three of them against the world.
The day passed far too slowly for Tucker’s liking. He couldn’t help but think about the last thing Danny had said. What could he possibly have to tell them that he would worry they’d hate him for it? Had he done something bad? Was that what had happened, Danny had done something, like, illegal or whatever, and that was why he’d pulled away?
Possibilities and theories swirled in Tucker’s head all day, even as he slid next to Sam at lunch. He wasn’t entirely sure where Danny went during lunch, but Tucker almost never saw him in the cafeteria anymore. Then again, even Tucker had noticed how afraid Danny was of ghosts, and they seemed to attack pretty often during lunch, for some inexplicable reason. Danny had probably just started preemptively hiding during lunch.
“You been having trouble paying attention in class today?” Sam asked as he settled beside her.
“You too, huh?” Tucker asked jokingly as he shoveled food into his mouth. He had no idea what, exactly, was in the Lunch Special Surprise, even with his super scent ability when it came to meat. There definitely was meat in the dish, Tucker just didn’t know what animal it was.
Sam poked forlornly at her food. “I want to believe him. I want him to show up.”
Tucker sobered slightly at the wistful desperation in her voice. “I do too. Did you hear what he said, at the end?”
“What do you mean? About meeting us at the park?”
“He kinda muttered it as we were leaving. Something about hoping we wouldn’t hate him once we knew?”
Sam frowned, stabbing far too violently at the leaves(?) on her plate. “Hate him?”
“Yeah. It hasn’t exactly helped the whole ‘paying attention in class’ thing, to be sure.” Tucker said, trying to inflect humor into his voice to lighten the mood. He knew he failed. The conversation hurt him too much to not show, after all.
“We’d never hate him. Surely he knows that. We’ve been friends forever!” Sam said, throwing her hands up in agitation, the singular leaf stuck on her fork sent flying as she did so.
“We did let him end the friendship pretty easily.” Tucker admitted, frowning at the memory from a few weeks after Christmas break their freshman year, over a year ago.
“Look, guys, can we talk?” Danny asked, refusing to look either of them in the eyes as he stood beside them at lunch, not taking a seat at their normal table.
“If it’s another excuse, I don’t want to hear it!” Sam snapped. “You blew us off. Again!”
“No, no more excuses.” Danny said, scowling. “Just the truth.”
Tucker’s heart skipped a beat, hope a growing warmth in his veins. Could he finally get his best friend back?
“Then hurry up and talk.” Sam said.
Danny continued to stare at a random spot on the table, not looking directly at either of them. There was steeliness, regret, sadness, pain all swirling in his eyes, and Tucker suddenly felt like he was about to fall from a cliff’s edge. This couldn’t be good.
“The truth is I just can’t keep pretending like this, that I want to be your friend,” Danny began and each word was a piercing wound to Tucker’s chest. “I’m tired of coming up with excuses when I just don’t want to be around you.” He shrugged.
“What?” Sam asked, all the anger gone from her voice and thinly veiled pain all that was left.
“Come on, it’s not that surprising, is it? If I wanted to hang out with you, I would.” Danny continued, rolling his eyes, though he held his shoulders taut.
Tucker and Sam shared a look, tears beginning to form in her purple eyes before hard determination filled them instead.
“Fine.” Sam said. “Leave.”
Danny finally looked at both of them, hurt and sadness etched into every line of his face, though he quickly schooled it away. “Good. Glad you didn’t make this harder than it needed to be.” He said, turning and walking away as soon as he was done speaking.
Sam’s face crumpled in pain.
“Did… did that really just happen?” Tucker croaked out, his throat suddenly feeling like sandpaper.
“I think… I think it did…” Sam answered, hiccuping slightly as she tried to hide a sob.
Tucker hadn’t even bothered to hide the tears slipping down his face from behind his glasses.
The memory brought a familiar surge of pain to Tucker’s chest.
“He wanted to end it! Did he expect us to fight for it?” Sam asked, though the anger in her voice was laughably fake.
“Maybe we should have.” Tucker said with a sigh.
Sam didn’t say anything, instead just pushing around the green stuff (which Tucker refused to acknowledge as food) on her tray.
Silence floated between the two for several minutes. Not uncomfortable, but still a deep silence as each mulled their own thoughts.
“I’m not letting him go that easily this time.” Tucker decided, hands clenching into fists. “I’m not losing him again.”
“Agreed.” Sam said, looking up at Tucker with a small, determined smile. “He’s our friend, and we will drag him kicking and screaming back into our lives if we have to.”
Tucker nodded and they allowed the conversation back to easier topics - like the classes neither had paid attention to today and how much that was going to bite them in the ass come test time.

Submitted Prompts #4
I've had this idea for a while and I think I sent it to someone before but I wanna talk about it again. I think I got it from a post a long time ago.
AU where Maddie is turned half ghost instead. After the accident, life went on as usual, Maddie and Jack got married, Vlad isn't evil and is a good family friend and uncle.
But things weren't quite right, Maddie had started to gain powers after the accident. She never told anyone about them, not even Jack or Vlad. She was curious about them though, and experimented in secret. She creates and discovers many things, including the ghost zone. It started off innocent, but something in Maddie began to change and twist.
Maybe she wasn't taking care of her ghost half (she didn't know she had to) or maybe it was in her all along. It did not help that she had formed two different obsessions. Normal multiple obsessions were considered healthy. But in Maddie's case they seemed to make her worse. Her two obsessions were science and family.
One day she had the idea to recreate the accident on her family. The scientist thought it would be a wonderful experiment. The mother railed against it at first, but began to justify it. She just wanted to make her family more like her, she was just giving them the power to protect themselves.
Either way, one day she leads her husband, kids and Vlad down to the basement for a 'little suprise'. Vlad and Jack do not survive, but Jazz and Danny are turned into half ghosts.
They are both very traumatized. One day they were a normal happy family, their mother was kind loving. Then their mother kills their father and uncle and turns them into something no longer human. Scared, they fled the house.
The scientist in Maddie rages at the failed experiment, and that the two successes ran away. The mother cries in grief and wants her babies to come back home.
The infestation of ghosts doesn't quite happen like it does normally. The ghost portal might as well be a venus flytrap, sure it is the easiest way to leave the ghost zone, but it also has a crazy scientist on the other end who may cut you open.
Maddie still uses the ghosts like Vlad does, in order to cover up her part in her family's 'disappearance'. She also uses them to track down her kids.
Dani still happens. Scientist Maddie wanted to try cloning and Mother Maddie wanted a new child since her old one's kept running away. Dani initially thinks Danny and Jazz are bad kids who should come home to their grieving mother but eventually realises Maddie is batshit insane and goes on the run with them.
I imagine this is the part where someone from the DC universe comes in but I'll leave that to your imagination.

I guess, I'm too obsessed with Ghost King AU and cold-blooded Danny, so, I'd like to share some ideas of this theme with you:
• We can't say for sure what made ghosts change their minds and team up with Danny in the end of ep. "Reign Storm". Idk, is it a part of AU or just hc but I prefer thinking Vlad convinced them and his deal with Fright Knight meant FK helps them in Final Battle and Vlad helps him to get rid of the pumpkin curse.
• Danny was so terrified of his possibly death in the battle with Pariah, so, he accidentally eliminate his soul. I mean, that costume was real powerful thing and thanks to adrenaline Danny aimed to the core.
• Vlad was chosen by Observers to tutor young king for his new role. In 21 year Danny will be crowned.
• Now, Pompous pep! Vlad and Danny were still arguing first but soon became really close. Tucker was jealousy even before Danny realised his feelings to Vlad.
• Vlad could finally forgive Jack due to his friendship with Daniel, and Danny found a cozy shelter with hot chocolate on Christmas (I don't think grinch ghost accident cancel Jack and Maddie Christmas argue tradition)
• All 7 years Vlad was making nourishing lunch for Danny. Thx to that Dan grow up a handsome, strong and high man UwU (Sorry, Sam, your light salads can't do that)
• Danny announced the engagement of him and Vlad on the coronation. Yeah, for the entire Ghost Zone
(Jack knew all the time. Jack shippered them from the very beginning; so poor he wasn't invited)
• On the wedding there were flying platforms as dance floor. And wedding rings where you must drop your ectoplasm in your partner's ring. With these rings lovers can feel each other whereever they are.
• Sam must be sad but I'm happy for Vlad. He's such a perfect wife.
• Phantom the King will start the new era of peace between 2 worlds
Tumblr media
("Well, maybe not all. But I certainly will," Vlad said.)

Just went through your Phantom Redux tag and I like it so far!
I'm kinda curious about the Fenton family in this concept now. Any major changes from the original you'd like to share?
Yup!
Tumblr media
When MILF meets DILF (Apologies for the awkward Jack design, I am bad at drawing large lads, this design is not final)
A lot of the core of the OG family will remain more or less the same, but like with Jazz slight tweaks need to be made to match the newer dynamics of the story.
Like in the OG series, Jack and Maddie are a couple obsessed with ghosts and ghost-hunting, despite never having found a ghost. I do have slight backstories for them this time, but these are details that would mainly exist in the background and probably won't ever come to the forefront.
For Maddie she had always been interested in ghosts, growing up in the swamps countless myths and stories were told to her and she had numerous encounters that made her adamant that ghosts were real. She studied hard and eventually got into a prestigious college on a scholarship, where she first met Jack and Vlad, and the story from there is the same as in the show.
She is loving, supportive, and fiercely protective of her children, and this in itself fuels her desire to hunt ghosts. From an early age she was taught to fear ghosts and other supernatural entities, and she wants to protect her family from any threats that may arise. However, ironically, it's this obsession with protection that makes her more absent from her kids lives than she probably should be. Even after Danny's accident, she still is obsessed with fighting ghosts, and the fact that tangible ghost threats show up shortly after certainly doesn't help.
She is sensitive to the fact that Danny and Jazz have grown distant, but is assuming that they're just rebelling as teens do. Still, it does kind of hurt the way Jazz doesn't seem to respect her work, and how neither kids seem interested in ghost-hunting, and as the story goes on this tension will only build.
Jack, on the other hand, is from old money, a family of ultra-rich and successful scientists, but like Maddie he developed an intense fascination with ghosts that wouldn't go away no matter what his family tried. He was also friends with Vlad from a very early age, who also came from a wealthy family and shared his interest in ghosts, but knew how to keep it on the down-low. They went to college together, and when Jack made it clear that he wasn't ever giving up on ghosts, the family decided that the best thing to do would just be to give him a massive lump-sum of money on the condition that he change his last name and never bring them up again. This is meant to explain how Jack got into the same fancy college as Maddie and Vlad despite being less competent, why you never see Jack's side of the family, and how the Fenton's are able to afford all of their facilities even before it turns out that ghosts are real. Like I said, though, this will primarily exist in the background, although as you can probably already tell it does also play into Vlad's backstory a bit~
Jack is loud, boisterous, and overwhelmingly positive. He isn't stupid, as many consider him to be, but he is extremely scatterbrained and will often miss the smaller details. He loves his kids and is passionate about sharing his work, but is more understanding of their lack of interest in ghost-hunting given his own break from his family. To him, it's much more important that his kids are around and happy than that they follow in their footsteps, something that he will often help remind Maddie of. He has a slightly better relationship with Jazz because of this, as Jazz sees him as incompetent but well-meaning, but for reasons he doesn't understand Danny is even more distant with him than with Maddie. The reason for this is because while Jack isn't a bad person and is certainly more open-minded than his parents, he is still very old-fashioned, especially when it comes to gender roles and traditional masculinity. On top of this, while both Danny's parents misgender him, being unaware that he is trans, Jack is more likely to use specifically gendered language like "That's my girl", while Maddie tends to use terms like "honey" or "sweetie," which is more gender-neutral.
Jack is somewhat aware of his old-fashioned behavior and will often ask and try to understand his families experiences as woman, but since Danny isn't one, this just further drives a wedge between the two.
As a unit Jack and Maddie are hell-bent on fighting ghosts, not just researching them, and this is the biggest difference between them and Team Phantom. Danny originally also believes that all ghosts are evil, and though he and Tucker invent the thermos to put the ghosts back in the Ghost Zone, this is less out of altruistic reasons and more because Danny simply lacks the ability to destroy ghosts at the beginning of the series. However over time they learn that evil ghosts are a small minority of ghosts, and the majority of them just want to be left alone. Over time Team Phantom will pivot it's approach from fighting ghosts, to understanding them and what their needs are, as even violent ghosts can become docile and even friendly if the right conditions are met. But meanwhile, Maddie and Jack are still hunting ghosts, and thus while at first Danny could at least try to cooperate behind his secret identity, he eventually becomes actively opposed to them, as does Jazz, making life in the Fenton household even more stressful as the story goes on...

Concept/prompt?
We are friends Tolerate each other.
Inspired by this post and it won't leave me alone.
So!
Unlikely Friends AU if you'd like to call it anything.
When Vlad got blasted by the prototype portal and was hospitalized, the future Fenton couple worked their asses off to cure the Ecto-acne, stayed close friends and were always in contact. This helped Vlad to not feel isolated, gave time to accept Maddie's new relationship and move on.
He discovered his ghost powers soon after his discharge from the hospital.
To say that he was freaked out was an understatement of a century. But he didn't want to trouble Maddie and Jack and made a decision to was scared to tell keep quiet. He kept the portal that cursed his life and worked on it separately. Be as it may between them, he no longer trusted a lab space with the Fentons in it.
He felt so hollow. Something was always missing. Being around Jack and Maddie made that pain worse.
That resulted in his portal working WAY sooner than that of the Fenton couple. He was even about to tell them! But...
The first ghost he ever actually encountered was the Dairy King. (Yes, Vlad is still a shady as hell billionaire here. Can't change the Core of the person) The Ghost was a little underwhelming but also extremely endearing to Vlad.
The Fentons wouldn't understand. They were both extremely intelligent but headstrong people. They would not change their ways. The permanent access to the Portal would put him and other Ghosts in danger.
So he kept quiet.
Years passed. He would often take trips to the Ghost Zone, or The Infinite Realms as the Ghost called it, and learn. About himself, his powers, their customs, their ways of thinking. He'd make friends with a few and enemies/sparing buddies with others.
A year into his Ghostly existence, he learnt what the hollowness was.
His Obsession. It wanted Kinship. It wanted people he felt safe around. He wanted family he could call his own. He wanted to be understood.
The Ghosts fullfilled it in a way he didn't know was possible. He loved, secretly, being a part of their community.
But no-one fully understood him.
His human needs would make them confused. Their more Ghostly ways were very hard to comprehend. The Ghost speak was a pain to learn.
So when, 20 years after the accident, he met the young Daniel at his doorstep and Saw him, he latches onto the young, green Halfa.
On that night, he came to him and offered mentorship. He may have been a little too pushy and scared the teen, earning the permanent moniker Fruitloop for his troubles.
But he managed to build up some trust when he did his best to help with some Ghost fights.
Vlad would dare to even say that they were becoming friends. The teen was highly entertaining to be around. It was freeing. He could joke, poke and talk to him almost about anything. Danny soon began doing the same.
The Dan incident was horrifying. It brought them closer. It also opened up a lot of teasing material for both sides. (Don't judge. That's how they cope)
Pariah Dark was released by an annoying Box Ghost by accident. They worked together to bring the Tirant down. Young Danny, with the help of his Father's suit, landed the final hit.
Danielle... was a terrifying but welcome accident. Vlad and Danny were doing some experiments on the Ectoplasm and how it effected different stages of the DNA. It was quite fun.
They didn't expect to accidentally clone a full Halfa of Danny when they were messing around.
Danny got a godsister. Vlad got to be a Father in the most unconventional but perfect way.

Thank you for answering my ask!
I can see Bruce and Maddie meeting because of Science and interestingly enough, Maddie and Jack have an open relationship. I don't know why but I do ( on the flip side Vlad will self-destruct on that revelation )
How do Ra's, Talia, and Bruce himself think about Danny, his powers, and being the Ghost King? And Jack and Maddie who raised him?
Also, I find the thought hilarious if Bruce did have a 4th blood child( I'm counting Dani/Ellie ), it's freaking Marinette from Miraculous Ladybug, and JL, DP, and MLB are all on the same Earth.
Ironically Marinette was conceived the same way, drunken nightstand while in a high brow Gala in Paris with Sabine being a server, and shortly after that she met Tom, fell in live, and he raised her as his daughter.
At least Danny and Marinette can bond over them fighting fruit loops who should get a pet cat.
And the JL wasn't really on the up and up about what's going on in Paris because A) Everything gets fixed in the end and B) Kwami hijinks did a notice me not kind of Harry Potter spell until Constantine or Bruce starts poking around there. And C) Clockwerk may had helped keeping the secret because he owned the Kwami a favor.
Poor Damian once he finds out about that on top of still believing with his entire chest that Bruce + Selina = Dani will forever think that his Father, The Batman, is a Hoe 🤣
OH MY GODS THE CHAOS!!!!
Vlad would be so mad! And he would bitterly be sitting in the corner at a gala in Gotham and Danny would SO rub it into his face like: “oh look at how cool my second DAD is, dont you think so Vlad???” With the smuggest smirk anyone has ever seen on the boy. All the bats would be confused but Jazz (who is also there) is like: “don’t worry about it, Vlad deserves this.” Leaving the Batfam confused because this was Jazz—the voice of reason—Fenton. Then Elle would join in and just be fuckin brutal, “haha, bitch! bet you wish you were him huh?” And vlad storms off to sulk in peace. (Or try to anyway, there is no peace when there are ghost kids about!)
Ra’s would be bitter that the ghost king wasn’t his heir but would ultimately try to obtain Danny as a resource. Talia would be ok with Danny being the ghost king because what better way to have her son be protected than have his half brother be the king of the dead as well as having an obsession dedicated to protecting the people he cares about. Bruce would be devastated that his eldest bio son died before he was able to meet him but would quickly move on when he realizes that it doesn’t change the fact that Danny is his bio son. Ra’s Talia and Bruce all agree that the Fenton’s are very interesting people to say the least.
Tbh, Im not completely into the whole Miraculous x DC x Danny Phantom crossover. But I do vibe with the whole, Danny and Marinette bonding over having to fight crazy adults that need therapy. Also its Wayzz that Clockwork owes a favor to and he just puts Paris in its own little time bubble where time flows normally but the outside world is just getting signals from alternate reality Paris where nothing wins wrong.
Dani/Elle: “HA- your bio-dads a whore!”
Dami: “shut up!”
Danny: “your my clone so he is technically your bio-dad too.”
Danny/Elle: “HA- our bio-dad’s a whore!”
Marinette: “I don’t know how I got into this situation, I just want to draw in PEACE???”
And as said before, there is no peace when there are ghost children about. (Also batkids)

My head canon for Plasmius
It looks like some people enjoyed my head canon about how Danny and Dani work, so I thought I would share my thoughts on why Vlad is so different from Danny.
If you didn't read my other post, the gist is that occupying the space where a portal is opening is not good for humans or ghosts, so in a desperate attempt at survival Danny's dying human body and forming ghost combined into one. As a result, his human and ghost halves grew together into a functional whole. The clones inherited this way of being but didn't have the materials to form the structure of their human halves because Vlad made them entirely out of ectoplasm and didn't feed them, so they started falling apart if they ran low on energy.
Vlad, on the other hand, was not inside of a portal when it turned on. He was hit in the face with a volatile mixture of energized ectoplasm and boiling soda (plus whatever weird substances might have resulted from a reaction between the two). This left him both injured and ill.
Vlad was slowly dying. His ghost was beginning to form, as they do. He was pretty close to dying and becoming a ghost normally. However, his ailing body found a way to utilize the ectoplasm in his system to adapt and survive by binding his forming ghost to it.
This process was not quick or neat because it was entirely one-sided. Vlad's forming ghost was totally fine by ghost standards and didn't feel any need to cling to the ailing mortal vessel it was preparing to leave behind.
Vlad's ghost half is more like a ghost whose human body is still stuck to him like a snake that can't quite get a shed skin to come off of the end of it's tail. His human half is desperately clinging to any resource that will let it keep itself alive a little longer. The halves fight each other more than they work together.
Where Danny's Human and ghost half both clung to each other for survival and adapted to accommodate and support each other, Vlad's human half was struggling to hold onto and make use of his uncompromising ghost half. It had to change a lot more and got a lot less out of it. That's why Vlad's ghost form looks so different and inhuman. That's why the appearance of his human form changed from before the accident.
Vlad would be a selfish, controlling jerk no matter what (we see this in the episode with the alternate timeline where Jack was the one caught in the accident), but he's more capricious and unpredictable as a halfa because he's constantly at war with himself, even if he's not consciously aware of it.
His ghost half wants to escape his human half and finish forming. His human half wants to keep his ghost half Trapped and exploit it. The two halves do not like, respect, or have empathy for each other because Vlad is a jerk. This means that he simultaneously has an ego the size of a continent and hates himself. This makes a volatile combination.
Vlad fixates on things that both sides of himself have strong feelings about.
His obsessions with Jack and Maddie are fairly one note. Both halves of him hate Jack. His human half blames him for his death/near death. His ghost half blames him for his entrapment. Vlad's creepy stalker crush on Maddie is the same either way because both halves are still Vlad.
His obsession with Danny is more complicated and volatile. His human half sees Danny's oneness within the self as proof that a ghost half can be more thoroughly dominated and wants that. His ghost half sees Danny as the potential source of another tool his human half can use against him and hates it. That's why Vlad's behavior toward Danny swings wildly from "join me, I can make it worth your while" to "I will destroy everything everything you hold dear."
Vlad and Danny may both be halfas, but they are not the same at all.
Danny is a healthy halfa with both halves seamlessly integrated into a complete and stable whole. There's no Ghost Danny and Human Danny; he's just Danny, who happens to be half human and half ghost.
That's why trying to separate his human and ghost halves with the ghost catcher went the way it did. Neither half acted like Danny or did as well at things because neither half on it's own was Danny. Each half was half of a person trying to do the job of a whole person.
I imagine there were health issues that couldn't be seen from an outside perspective building up as well. Little things inside Danny's human half's body that had adapted to rely on his ghost half for something or other building up. Danny's ghost half probably would have started melting like his clones without the structure of his human body to lean on if he'd used too much energy.
Danny's ghost half was quicker to pick up on the fact that he needed to put himself back together to restore functionality because Danny has never been a full ghost that didn't need a human half to function. He was able to look clearly at his current situation and realize "this isn't right," even with the reduced processing power from being only half of Danny.
Danny's human half was a little slower on the uptake because Danny has been a full human who didn't need anything ghostly to survive. He confused his current state as half of a human missing his ghost half with his memories of how big of a difference there was between being a halfa and being a whole human. He didn't quite have the processing power to realize what part of the assumption wasn't sitting right, even as he continued instinctively trying to lean on the missing half of himself.
Even so, both halves of himself at least subconsciously knew that they needed each other. Once Danny was back in one piece and whole once more, he destroyed the ghost catcher because, in his whole and healthy state, he understood that cutting himself in half like that was bad and should never happen again. I imagine that he remembers that period sort of like a fever dream: with lots of disjointed, vague nonsense floating in a cloud of discomfort.
Vlad, on the other hand, is a complete mess. His human half and ghost half are constantly duking it out in his subconscious. He's got all sorts of issues stemming from his two halves trying to live around/despite each other with no heed paid to the other half's needs. Neither half of him is healthy and the whole of him is not healthy.
If you used the ghost catcher to separate Vlad's human and ghost halves, they would fight. Vlad's ghost half would try to kill his human half and his human half would try to reclaim or enslave his ghost half. It would be brutal and vicious.
Part of the reason Danny develops powers so much faster than Vlad is because Danny is healthy. He learns and grows like a healthy young halfa should. Vlad on the other hand uses up so much energy on the internal struggle and damages himself so much with it that it stunts his growth. That's not the only reason, but it is part of it.
In a nutshell: Danny is one whole person who is half human and half ghost. Vlad is half of a ghost and half of a human stuck together in a manner not dissimilar to what would probably happen if someone shoved two grouchy feral cats into a sack and tied it shut.
