Paige Bueckers could easily be mistaken for a work of divine creation. Her beauty almost too perfect to be real. Too bad you can only admire her from afar.

Art is beautiful. Other art pieces would enhance a single one's beauty.
Paige Bueckers could easily be mistaken as a work of art created by the very own hands of a blessed angelic being. so mesmerizing and enchanting with those medium-length dirty blonde hair that frames the right side of her face in such a graceful manner. It almost looks too perfect.
Everything about her seems so unreal. They could probably put you under a spell of attraction, her beauty sucks you into like an hurricane and sweeps you off your feet like a whirlwind.
But you especially love her eyes. The way they could just cast you under a spell whenever you would just have a normal conversation. Her light blue orbs just staring right into you while you're talking, showing she's paying attention to you.
You weren't too keen on making eye contact but for Paige Bueckers it was like nothing but resembling comfort of each other.
Sitting beside the window table in the school library, admiring her graceful features is something you find yourself doing a lot more than you should. Considering how your supposed task at hand is to read the book on your hold and study for whatever uninteresting lesson you may have coming up. But you never saw yourself doing the task at all.
Who could blame you though. She was definitely captivating with the way the library's dim light hits her defined face and the autumn wind blows on her pretty dirty blonde hair.
And that's as far as it goes for you, the admirer. Admiring her from afar, up close when the chance is present, and maybe get a smile from her if you're lucky enough just for the day. Because it's not exactly like she was a stone-cold kind of girl, she obviously does smile often, just not directed at you. Those smiles from her are not meant for you, but another person.
And this other person, as gentle and delicate as an angel, as beautiful and composed like a painting, was quite art like himself, surreal. Someone of this nature is worthy of holding someone like Paige herself, worthy of being alongside her.
After all, art enhances the beauty of others of the kind, they are meant to be admired together side-by-side, they deserve one another, just like the paintings in a museum. Not the one admiring the art, the audience, the observer, the admirer of the art, however you please in naming them, is there to get a glimpse of the art but never touch.
This other person, is worthy of holding her, but not you. The art but never the admirer.
Art is exceptional, it attracts everyone who holds love for the great things in life. Art is beautiful but is meant for admiring from afar, untouchable.
and paige bueckers was just that, a work of art.

Shall we play a game?
Nope, not chess or Parchisi. And not even global thermonuclear war. (If you get that reference, you might just be as old as we are!) But no, none of those games are where we're headed. This year, we're hosting a good old-fashioned game of bingo!
That's right, since we're almost two weeks into the new year, we thought it might be time to roll out our new creative challenge, which will continue throughout 2024.
As always, we're in the market for any and all fan creations centered on White Collar, and this year, we're providing prompts in the form of mini bingo cards, with new prompt cards coming out quarterly. (Jan, April, July, October) If you want to play, just let us know (comment here, dm, however you want to get in touch), and we'll get you a card so you can get started!
Some details:
When we say "any and all fan creations," we mean it--let your creativity run wild and make whatever you want to make! Draw, write, paint, record a podcast, shoot a video, whatever your creative preference.
We're using a 4x4 card format, and there is a FREE space, so that means a total of 15 prompts for three months. Complete a line of prompts, get a bingo; complete the whole card during the quarter, and that, dear friends, is a blackout!
Much like our drabble prompts, the bingo prompts are pretty broad, and many (maybe most?) are only one word. They run the gamut from theme words to genre to story length and beyond. (Not to worry if you're making art or some other non-written creations; we've got provisions for swapping prompts.)
Prompts were randomized to create the cards, and the card numbers were randomized to create the distribution order, so the prompts you end up with are strictly luck.
Okay, that's probably the most important stuff to know, except, of course, that we hope lots of you will join in and that everyone has tons of fun creating new White Collar stuff, because we're sure going to have fun seeing whatever you make!
So whenever you're ready, shall we play a game?
(We'll put a few more detailed FAQ items below the cut, but if you've got questions we didn't think of, just let us know and we'll make up an answer.😉)
Q: What can my entries be? A: Any type of creation you choose. fic, art, blog post, essay, cross-stitch, we're not picky. Interpret the prompts any way you like, in any genre, any relationship, any rating, any characters, you get the idea. (Unless, of course, the prompt is more specific.) As long as it's White Collar, it's fair game.
Q: Where do we share our work/how will you know we made something or got a bingo? A: First, put your creations somewhere we can see them! There'll be a collection on AO3 where most types of work can be shared. (We're debating if it's better to have just one collection for the year or one for each quarter; if you've got any opinions on that, feel free to weigh in.) If you're sharing here or on other socials, be sure to @ us, and use #WhiteCollarBingo. But, while we'll be doing our best to keep up, we're hoping there will be so many entries we'll lose track, so definitely tell us if you completed a bingo!
Q: Can I make one story/picture/video/etc. for the whole card? A: You may use as many prompts as you like in each entry, but only 2 prompts per line may be counted toward a bingo. (So you will need at least two entries to achieve a single bingo, and though we may have miscounted, we think that means at least ten entries to make a blackout.)
Q: Are crossovers allowed? A: Yes (and may even be a prompt!), but White Collar should obviously be prevalent in your work.
Q: How long do I have to complete my entries? A: We'll be issuing new cards each quarter (Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-December), and in a perfect world, we'd like to receive entries within that quarter. But you know we've never been sticklers for schedules, and the point is to encourage more White Collar creations, so we'll be glad to get them whenever you finish.
Q: What do I win when I bingo? A: Bragging rights, and your name on our (soon to be created) bingo accomplishments page.
Q: What if there are some prompts I really don't want to use, but I want to try for blackout? A: We will provide a max of two alternate prompts. (This max does not apply if you're making non-written creations and somehow ended up with a card full of writing-centric prompts.)
Q: What if I just can't work with the card I receive at all? A: We'll exchange your card one time. Part of the fun is stretching our creative muscles.
Q: If I exchange my card, will any previous entries count toward bingo on my new card? A: Nope. It's a fresh slate, so examine your card when you get it to decide if it works for you.
Q: If I complete my card, can I have another? A: Yep, and we'd be very impressed! (and happy!)
Q: Where did these prompts come from? A: Many suggestions from our followers, and we've been hunting and gathering, too. But we want to have lots of variety as the year rolls along, so please keep those suggestions rolling in.
Q: Can something I made for another challenge count toward a bingo prompt/Can I submit my work to more than one collection or challenge? A: As long as it's new work, and if the other challenge doesn't ask for exclusivity, bring it on! And frankly, we'd love to see more White Collar activity in multi-fandom spaces. Also, we'll surely be hosting other events throughout the year (at least Mozzie Mania and Caffrey-Burke Day), and you can certainly use a bingo prompt for any of those challenges as well.

A friend of mine has been reading The Locked Tomb trilogy aka descended into Lesbian Necromancer Hell . He's having a great time, and been sending me reports from the pits.
Now I know that in the context of the story "DEATH TO VULTURES AND SCAVENGERS FIRST" is very poetic and badass, but taken with the context that this is the motto of the bone-manipulating guys, the motto sounds slightly less badass and more like they've been having an ongoing problem with Lammergeiers.
Thing is,
A Lammergeier is like, the single most badass familiar an osteomancer could have. Fuck off huge raptorial bird that is either black and white or black and blood red so either way it goes with your goth-ass aesthetic and is extremely easy to train to bring you fun and interesting new bones? Why does the ninth house NOT have these?
Oh right. Jod.
Anyway, this combined with a previous idea I had about Truly Awful Bird/Mammal combinations for The Worst Gryphon Ever, and you know what? Some fuckass idiot in that universe WOULD make a Lammergeier/Spotted Hyena Gryphon. Now that's a creature made to fuck over necromancers six ways from Sunday.
Eats flesh AND bones.
Constantly scream-laughing.
Terrifyingly intelligent.
-And then whatever idiot created this abomination made it big enough to ride and drool corrosive venom because everyone in that universe automatically doubles down on any bad idea they have.
Harrow is sobbing at it's mere existence.
Gideon is trying to cradle it in her arms. This is their daughter now.
"Daddy harrowhark put a bone in mommy griddlecakes and she made Princess Bonefucker Ultraviolence 9000 and birthed her with her own womb-" Gideon is saying aloud in the most babytalk voice possible to the gryphon, who is rolled over on its back and entirely agreeable with being smothered with affection, because if the Gryphon has a sole redeeming feature it's that it possesses the zen like chill that comes from the bone-deep knowledge that it is at the absolute apex of the local food chain.
It's also wearing Gideon's sunglasses.
They do not fit.
Gideon may spoil Princesss Bonefucker Ultraviolence 9000 but that animal is OBSESSED with Harrow. It's a real Daddy's Girl kind of creature, and it will attempt to eat the face of anyone that so much as looks at Harrow without her permission. Harrow isn't sure about this thing until it takes an actual shilouette-altering sized CHUNK out of Ortus' ass, and then she becomes very fond of Daddy's Special Little Apex Predator. She deigns to give it one (1) headpat, and is treated to Princess Bonefucker's "Happiness Noise", which sounds like someone threw a handful of gravel into a running garbage disposal.
"Why..?" Harrow asks, feeling the remaining edges of her sanity start to melt.
"Why not?" Asks Gideon, accurately reporting the entire thought process that went into the creation of this horror.

You’ve probably been asked this before, but do you have a specific view on ai-generated art. I’m doing a school project on artificial intelligence and if it’s okay, i would like to cite you
I mean, you're welcome to cite me if you like. I recently wrote a post under a reblog about AI, and I did a video about it a while back, before the full scale of AI hype had really started rolling over the Internet - I don't 100% agree with all my arguments from that video anymore, but you can cite it if you please.
In short, I think generative AI art
Is art, real art, and it's silly to argue otherwise, the question is what KIND of art it is and what that art DOES in the world. Generally, it is boring and bland art which makes the world a more stressful, unpleasant and miserable place to be.
AI generated art is structurally and inherently limited by its nature. It is by necessity averages generated from data-sets, and so it inherits EVERY bias of its training data and EVERY bias of its training data validators and creators. It naturally tends towards the lowest common denominator in all areas, and it is structurally biased towards reinforcing and reaffirming the status quo of everything it is turned to.
It tends to be all surface, no substance. As in, it carries the superficial aesthetic of very high-quality rendering, but only insofar as it reproduces whatever signifiers of "quality" are most prized in its weighted training data. It cannot understand the structures and principles of what it is creating. Ask it for a horse and it does not know what a "horse" is, all it knows is what parts of it training data are tagged as "horse" and which general data patterns are likely to lead an observer to identify its output also as "horse." People sometimes describe this limitation as "a lack of soul" but it's perhaps more useful to think of it as a lack of comprehension.
Due to this lack of comprehension, AI art cannot communicate anything - or rather, the output tends to attempt to communicate everything, at random, all at once, and it's the visual equivalent of a kind of white noise. It lacks focus.
Human operators of AI generative tools can imbue communicative meaning into the outputs, and whip the models towards some sort of focus, because humans can do that with literally anything they turn their directed attention towards. Human beings can make art with paint spatters and bits of gum stuck under tennis shoes, of course a dedicated human putting tons of time into a process of trial and error can produce something meaningful with genAI tools.
The nature of genAI as a tool of creation is uniquely limited and uniquely constrained, a genAI tool can only ever output some mixture of whatever is in its training data (and what's in its training data is biased by the data that its creators valued enough to include), and it can only ever output that mixture according to the weights and biases of its programming and data set, which is fully within the control of whoever created the tool in the first place. Consequently, genAI is a tool whose full creative capacity is always, always, always going to be owned by corporations, the only entities with the resources and capacity to produce the most powerful models. And those models, thus, will always only create according to corporate interest. An individual human can use a pencil to draw whatever the hell they want, but an individual human can never use Midjourney to create anything except that which Midjourney allows them to create. GenAI art is thus limited not only by its mathematical tendency to bias the lowest common denominator, but also by an ideological bias inherited from whoever holds the leash on its creation. The necessary decision of which data gets included in a training set vs which data gets left out will, always and forever, impose de facto censorship on what a model is capable of expressing, and the power to make that decision is never in the hands of the artist attempting to use the tool.
tl;dr genAI art has a tendency to produce ideologically limited and intrinsically censored outputs, while defaulting to lowest common denominators that reproduce and reinforce status quos.
... on top of which its promulgation is an explicit plot by oligarchic industry to drive millions of people deeper into poverty and collapse wages in order to further concentrate wealth in the hands of the 0.01%. But that's just a bonus reason to dislike it.

How can you consider yourself any sort of leftist when you defend AI art bullshit? You literally simp for AI techbros and have the gall to pretend you're against big corporations?? Get fucked
I don't "defend" AI art. I think a particular old post of mine that a lot of people tend to read in bad faith must be making the rounds again lmao.
Took me a good while to reply to this because you know what? I decided to make something positive out of this and use this as an opportunity to outline what I ACTUALLY believe about AI art. If anyone seeing this decides to read it in good or bad faith... Welp, your choice I guess.
I have several criticisms of the way the proliferation of AI art generators and LLMs is making a lot of things worse. Some of these are things I have voiced in the past, some of these are things I haven't until now:
Most image and text AI generators are fine-tuned to produce nothing but the most agreeable, generically pretty content slop, pretty much immediately squandering their potential to be used as genuinely interesting artistic tools with anything to offer in terms of a unique aesthetic experience (AI video still manages to look bizarre and interesting but it's getting there too)
In the entertainment industry and a lot of other fields, AI image generation is getting incorporated into production pipelines in ways that lead to the immiseration of working artists, being used to justify either lower wages or straight-up layoffs, and this is something that needs to be fought against. That's why I unconditionally supported the SAG-AFTRA strikes last year and will unconditionally support any collective action to address AI art as a concrete labor issue
In most fields where it's being integrated, AI art is vastly inferior to human artists in any use case where you need anything other than to make a superficially pretty picture really fast. If you need to do anything like ask for revisions or minor corrections, give very specific descriptions of how objects and people are interacting with each other, or just like. generate several pictures of the same thing and have them stay consistent with each other, you NEED human artists and it's preposterous to think they can be replaced by AI.
There is a lot of art on the internet that consists of the most generically pretty, cookie-cutter anime waifu-adjacent slop that has zero artistic or emotional value to either the people seeing it or the person churning it out, and while this certainly was A Thing before the advent of AI art generators, generative AI has made it extremely easy to become the kind of person who churns it out and floods online art spaces with it.
Similarly, LLMs make it extremely easy to generate massive volumes of texts, pages, articles, listicles and what have you that are generic vapid SEO-friendly pap at best and bizzarre nonsense misinformation at worst, drowning useful information in a sea of vapid noise and rendering internet searches increasingly useless.
The way LLMs are being incorporated into customer service and similar services not only, again, encourages further immiseration of customer service workers, but it's also completely useless for most customers.
A very annoyingly vocal part the population of AI art enthusiasts, fanatics and promoters do tend to talk about it in a way that directly or indirectly demeans the merit and skill of human artists and implies that they think of anyone who sees anything worthwile in the process of creation itself rather than the end product as stupid or deluded.
So you can probably tell by now that I don't hold AI art or writing in very high regard. However (and here's the part that'll get me called an AI techbro, or get people telling me that I'm just jealous of REAL artists because I lack the drive to create art of my own, or whatever else) I do have some criticisms of the way people have been responding to it, and have voiced such criticisms in the past.
I think a lot of the opposition to AI art has critstallized around unexamined gut reactions, whipping up a moral panic, and pressure to outwardly display an acceptable level of disdain for it. And in particular I think this climate has made a lot of people very prone to either uncritically entertain and adopt regressive ideas about Intellectual Propety, OR reveal previously held regressive ideas about Intellectual Property that are now suddenly more socially acceptable to express:
(I wanna preface this section by stating that I'm a staunch intellectual property abolitionist for the same reason I'm a private property abolitionist. If you think the existence of intellectual property is a good thing, a lot of my ideas about a lot of stuff are gonna be unpalatable to you. Not much I can do about it.)
A lot of people are suddenly throwing their support behind any proposal that promises stricter copyright regulations to combat AI art, when a lot of these also have the potential to severely udnermine fair use laws and fuck over a lot of independent artist for the benefit of big companies.
It was very worrying to see a lot of fanfic authors in particular clap for the George R R Martin OpenAI lawsuit because well... a lot of them don't realize that fanfic is a hobby that's in a position that's VERY legally precarious at best, that legally speaking using someone else's characters in your fanfic is as much of a violation of copyright law as straight up stealing entire passages, and that any regulation that can be used against the latter can be extended against the former.
Similarly, a lot of artists were cheering for the lawsuit against AI art models trained to mimic the style of specific artists. Which I agree is an extremely scummy thing to do (just like a human artist making a living from ripping off someone else's work is also extremely scummy), but I don't think every scummy act necessarily needs to be punishable by law, and some of them would in fact leave people worse off if they were. All this to say: If you are an artist, and ESPECIALLY a fan artist, trust me. You DON'T wanna live in a world where there's precedent for people's artstyles to be considered intellectual property in any legally enforceable way. I know you wanna hurt AI art people but this is one avenue that's not worth it.
Especially worrying to me as an indie musician has been to see people mention the strict copyright laws of the music industry as a positive thing that they wanna emulate. "this would never happen in the music industry because they value their artists copyright" idk maybe this is a the grass is greener type of situation but I'm telling you, you DON'T wanna live in a world where copyright law in the visual arts world works the way it does in the music industry. It's not worth it.
I've seen at least one person compare AI art model training to music sampling and say "there's a reason why they cracked down on sampling" as if the death of sampling due to stricter copyright laws was a good thing and not literally one of the worst things to happen in the history of music which nearly destroyed several primarily black music genres. Of course this is anecdotal because it's just One Guy I Saw Once, but you can see what I mean about how uncritical support for copyright law as a tool against AI can lead people to adopt increasingly regressive ideas about copyright.
Similarly, I've seen at least one person go "you know what? Collages should be considered art theft too, fuck you" over an argument where someone else compared AI art to collages. Again, same point as above.
Similarly, I take issue with the way a lot of people seem EXTREMELY personally invested in proving AI art is Not Real Art. I not only find this discussion unproductive, but also similarly dangerously prone to validating very reactionary ideas about The Nature Of Art that shouldn't really be entertained. Also it's a discussion rife with intellectual dishonesty and unevenly applied definition and standards.
When a lot of people present the argument of AI art not being art because the definition of art is this and that, they try to pretend that this is the definition of art the've always operated under and believed in, even when a lot of the time it's blatantly obvious that they're constructing their definition on the spot and deliberately trying to do so in such a way that it doesn't include AI art.
They never succeed at it, btw. I've seen several dozen different "AI art isn't art because art is [definition]". I've seen exactly zero of those where trying to seriously apply that definition in any context outside of trying to prove AI art isn't art doesn't end up in it accidentally excluding one or more non-AI artforms, usually reflecting the author's blindspots with regard to the different forms of artistic expression.
(However, this is moot because, again, these are rarely definitions that these people actually believe in or adhere to outside of trying to win "Is AI art real art?" discussions.)
Especially worrying when the definition they construct is built around stuff like Effort or Skill or Dedication or The Divine Human Spirit. You would not be happy about the kinds of art that have traditionally been excluded from Real Art using similar definitions.
Seriously when everyone was celebrating that the Catholic Church came out to say AI art isn't real art and sharing it as if it was validating and not Extremely Worrying that the arguments they'd been using against AI art sounded nearly identical to things TradCaths believe I was like. Well alright :T You can make all the "I never thought I'd die fighting side by side with a catholic" legolas and gimli memes you want, but it won't change the fact that the argument being made by the catholic church was a profoundly conservative one and nearly identical to arguments used to dismiss the artistic merit of certain forms of "degenerate" art and everyone was just uncritically sharing it, completely unconcerned with what kind of worldview they were lending validity to by sharing it.
Remember when the discourse about the Gay Sex cats pic was going on? One of the things I remember the most from that time was when someone went "Tell me a definition of art that excludes this picture without also excluding Fountain by Duchamp" and how just. Literally no one was able to do it. A LOT of people tried to argue some variation of "Well, Fountain is art and this image isn't because what turns fountain into art is Intent. Duchamp's choice to show a urinal at an art gallery as if it was art confers it an element of artistic intent that this image lacks" when like. Didn't by that same logic OP's choice to post the image on tumblr as if it was art also confer it artistic intent in the same way? Didn't that argument actually kinda end up accidentally validating the artistic status of every piece of AI art ever posted on social media? That moment it clicked for me that a lot of these definitions require applying certain concepts extremely selectively in order to make sense for the people using them.
A lot of people also try to argue it isn't Real Art based on the fact that most AI art is vapid but like. If being vapid definitionally excludes something from being art you're going to have to exclude a whooole lot of stuff along with it. AI art is vapid. A lot of art is too, I don't think this argument works either.
Like, look, I'm not really invested in trying to argue in favor of The Artistic Merits of AI art but I also find it extremely hard to ignore how trying to categorically define AI art as Not Real Art not only is unproductive but also requires either a) applying certain parts of your definition of art extremely selectively, b) constructing a definition of art so convoluted and full of weird caveats as to be functionally useless, or c) validating extremely reactionary conservative ideas about what Real Art is.
Some stray thoughts that don't fit any of the above sections.
I've occassionally seen people respond to AI art being used for shitposts like "A lot of people have affordable commissions, you could have paid someone like $30 to draw this for you instead of using the plagiarism algorithm and exploiting the work of real artists" and sorry but if you consider paying an artist a rate that amounts to like $5 for several hours of work a LESS exploitative alternative I think you've got something fucked up going on with your priorities.
Also it's kinda funny when people comment on the aforementioned shitposts with some variation of "see, the usage of AI art robs it of all humor because the thing that makes shitposts funny is when you consider the fact that someone would spend so much time and effort in something so stupid" because like. Yeah that is part of the humor SOMETIMES but also people share and laugh at low effort shitposts all the time. Again you're constructing a definition that you don't actually believe in anywhere outside of this type of conversations. Just say you don't like that it's AI art because you think it's morally wrong and stop being disingenuous.
So yeah, this is pretty much everything I believe about the topic.
I don't "defend" AI art, but my opposition to it is firmly rooted in my principles, and that means I refuse to uncritically accept any anti-AI art argument that goes against those same principles.
If you think not accepting and parroting every Anti-AI art argument I encounter because some of them are ideologically rooted in things I disagree with makes me indistinguishable from "AI techbros" you're working under a fucked up dichotomy.

angry post

i have a personal problem with this kind of attitude. it's not a petty thing i am unreasonably angry about. there is a politics of translation and it affects one's understanding of art and popular culture/cultural geopolitics.
yes, tbhx has an unprecedented world wide release for a donghua/Chinese media and it's vital for its popularity, especially among transnational fandom spaces. Transcreated works are important for easier access. BUT, my gripe with the Japanese dub of a Chinese media WILL never be resolved. I am not talking about the quality, the issue lies in the very creation of the Japanese dub of a donghua itself. Let me give you an example.
Last year, we had an optional course called translation studies and one of the first things our professor asked was : who are the writers of A Doll's House and Waiting for Godot? He told those few of us who had read these texts closely to shut our mouth and let others take a guess. Most people answered : British writers. The texts are English texts. Because it's so famous among literature enthusiasts and when a piece of literature has a 'classic' tag attached to it, we tend to generalize and oversimplify it. So, a Norwegian playwright's original Norwegian play or an Irish playwright's play originally written in French- both get labelled as British literature. Get my point?
The anime industry is justifiably dominated by Japanese productions but when we forget to accommodate the nuances, the origin culture decays. It is, in many senses, a form of subtle cultural imperialism brought by ignorance.
People complain about Link Click's 'poor marketing' but I think Haolin was clever doing so. Even in the reviews by Indian anime bros™ I see them trying to pronounce 'donghua'. You may laugh at those link click related youtube video titles saying stuff like : China is taking over anime, this Chinese anime is better than your favourite anime, PEAK Chinese anime, the best anime of 2021 is NOT Japanese?!, Link Click is taking over anime, China's hidden gem, China might have created the best anime of the year- CHINA IS IMPORTANT.
Whenever people talk about Chinese donghua- Link Click, Heaven Official's Blessing, Master of Diabolism etc are mentioned and people KNOW that it looks like anime but not really anime. It's... something... something else. This distinction is critical and essential.
Now, thanks to censorship (the Chinese version is not available on any official platform), many people think (not all people dig that deep while watching things, like come on) Spiritpact is a JAPANESE anime. Who the heck is Tanmouki or whatever. They are are Duanmu Xi and Yang Jinghua.

I like the Japanese dub of Link Click but there was a c*** in the comments who said "uwu it's not in japanese so I won't watch it" b**** doesn't even understand Japanese. B just wants an 'authentic Japanese anime experience.'
I feared that tbhx would face this issue.

Crafts of the Witch Useful to Learn
Welcome to December 25th, here's some stuff about witchcraft to think about because you're on your phone looking for a distraction :)
So anyway here's stuff that's really useful to learn how to do before you actually need it because putting it all together for the first time on game day is stressful.
Creation and Desecration of a Poppet
A poppet is a deeply sympathetic representation of someone or something (usually another person).
According to the law of sympathy, whatever you do to the poppet will happen to the person it represents. You could cleanse and bless it, or smite it.
Poppets can be made in a wide variety of ways, from paper dolls, to clay figurines, to crocheted stuffies - anything you like. They also must be worked over magically to link them to their target.
The most ideal poppet is decorated to look very similar to the thing it represents, and is imbued with a taglock (such as hair, nail clippings, footprint dust, etc).
Learning Prompts:
The handicraft of creating the poppet - start with any arts and crafts you're interested in and see if they'll work for you
Practice making several poppets - you do not need to consecrate them. How easy is it for you to decorate it just like the real person? How easy is it for you to include taglocks?
Find a disposal plan. ""Voodoo dolls"" are steeped in public awareness; will it be safe for you to throw away the poppet in the trash when you're done with it?
Consecration or enlivening poppet as target. Find or develop a ritual to fill the poppet with magical life so that it becomes the target. Practice this once or twice (perhaps on a poppet of yourself, to cast blessings or prosperity magic on yourself)
Desecration or severing link. Find or develop a ritual to end the sympathetic link between the poppet and its target. Practice this once or twice.
Storage and tending of enlivened poppets. They are alive and they act like it. If you intend to have poppets sitting around for long-term spells or to use as-needed, you will need a system of storing them so that they "go to sleep" and remain undisturbed until you need them.
Consecration, In General
Here I mean "consecration" to be an act of magic which anoints an object as sacred unto a purpose, and therefore primed for magical use. In crude terms: you're making an object magical and giving it a purpose at the same time.
Consecration is a very useful thing to know how to do. In and of itself it can form a kind of minor enchantment (I consecrate this mug of oolong tea to be a potion of survival +1), but it can also prepare the way for powerful enchantments (I consecrate this ring to become a divine protector, ready to receive the powerful enchantment I soon cast upon it).
Learning Prompts:
Find or create a minor consecration spell which can be cast in under a minute. Strive to obtain one which is covert and can be done even in the presence of others. (Perhaps we could call this a 'cantrip'). Such a spell tends to be suitable for moving fate a few degrees over, or to dig a shallow pool in the tides of reality.
Find or create a hefty consecration spell. Consider what abilities or access you have that allows you to redefine the fate and purpose of an object. Contemplation of this spell can provide great insight into one's own belief and path. Such a spell may completely reorient fate, and carve new channels into the waterways of reality.
Practice minor consecrations on 5 different types of objects. Consecrating the tea, that's easy - stir it a few times. But how to consecrate a hairbrush? How to consecrate a mirror?
Practice major consecration twice, unto two very different domains. Perhaps a pepper oil of fiery smiting, and a crystal bracelet of deep soothing. This is an opportunity to compare and contrast the powers you raise when you work within different domains.
Desecration, In General; and Spell Reversal
To make profane; as in, to remove the magic from something and make it no more than a lump of physical matter, or a meaningless event like scattered dust on the winds of fate.
In my opinion, all witches should learn this - "don't raise up what you can't put down" also includes "don't enchant shit if you don't know how to undo enchantments."
To know how to nullify magic also means you can nullify unwanted and harmful things around you, and take the force and energy out of them.
Learning Prompts:
Find or create a minor desecration spell, one that you can cast on the fly and without tools or ingredients. Such a spell may be like a slapping a broom on a dusty rug; it will shake free things not tightly held.
Find or create a major desecration spell. Such a spell is like steam cleaning and shampooing a rug; it must remove every particle of magic and leave nothing behind but stripped fibers.
Practice minor desecrations 5 times in day-to-day life, targeting stank vibes and irritating situations that do not serve you.
Practice minor consecrations and desecrations 5 times by consecrating a stone, candle, etc., unto a magical purpose, and then removing the consecration.
Find an opportunity to cast a major desecration, which you may find the opportunity to do the next time the need for banishment comes up; or when sorting through old magical tools you no longer need, etc.
Find or create a solid spell reversal, one that you can use without having to have physical spell remnants on hand. Note that reverse to sender is not the same as nullifying your own magic.
Binding Divination Tools to Veracity, and Sundry Divination Management
Or if you like, binding veracity to divination tools. Binding is not baneful magic. Binding means to attach one thing to another thing, or to prevent something from being ways.
You can cast a binding on your divination tools to constrain them to only tell the truth, to truly peer beyond the veil, and only deliver what it can see; and never reflect your personal whims.
There's plenty of magic you can cast for your divinatory tools to make your life easier.
Prepare a binding spell to constrain a divination tool to only reflect the kind of truth you want. Do you want a tarot deck to only show your true state of mind? Do you want a set of runes to only read the will of the gods? Do you want your charm set to only read on the future, and not the past?
Find or create a protection spell to stop undue influence on a divination tool. This does not mean "evil spirits are manipulating your reading." Undue influence also means the strong emotions of querents, random psychic garbage, and the like; but it can also have an impact on the way you phrase questions and work with the tool itself.
Find or create a spell to enchant your tool as a magical seer/oracle. You can use a tarot deck out of the box, of course. You can also enchant it to be a magical object that obtains truth from mystical sources. Try it and see if you like the difference.
Find or create a charging ritual to revitalize your divination tools. This is a good opportunity to examine elemental energies; what kinds of energies are best suited to the purposes of divination and seeing beyond? The full moon is classically used for such purposes. Challenge yourself to recharge your divination tools once a month for 3 months, and see if you like the difference.
Blessing, In General
You have the power to generate and coalesce benevolent and helpful energies, and to distribute them into the world around you. You can bless anything you like, and perhaps the more the merrier; it's a very fine way to transform a space, and put love into the world.
Try considering blessings to have 2 parts; the first is to evoke a desirable force, and the second is to apply the force in a certain way: You could evoke the winter dawn as a blessing power, and then ask it to do something specific (provide a calm day, to make wise choices, to avoid bad traffic, etc).
Write your own minor blessing spell that you can perform in a minute or less. Try centering this blessing around a wonderful and benevolent force, whether it be a certain god, mushrooms, unconditional love, and so forth.
Write a separate minor blessing spell using a very different focus. Try the deep blue calming waters of the deep ocean, or the sprightly breezes of alpine hills, or the feeling of the first sip of a perfect bowl of soup; but make it have really different vibes from the first blessing.
Practice both minor blessings and see the difference. Challenge yourself to use each blessing cantrip 5 times. Try clustering the blessings to fill a space with that kind of energy (such as five items on desk blessed under the alpine breeze, and five items in the bathroom blessed under the deep ocean). Can you feel a difference in the spaces as you move in and out of them?
Write a major blessing using the various benevolent and lovely powers of your practice. This is another good opportunity to explore your practice. When you are in need of love, kindness, grace, and softness, what part of your path rises to meet your needs?
The Big Practice
Consecrate a poppet unto yourself. Bind and enchant a divination tool to be a powerful oracle of truth, and read on the most helpful equipment the poppet needs (RPG style: weapon, armor, familiar, potion?).
Whatever the answer, make a tiny container spell which serves the purpose. Consecrate it to be the tool that the poppet (you) needs.
Give the enchanted container spell to the poppet and cast a blessing on it, to be empowered with the new tool it has been granted in life.
Carefully store the poppet and its tool.
Periodically, perhaps between 1 to 6 times a year, recharge your divination tool and discern what new tools the poppet might need. Desecrate the old tool if you need to (or let them stack up), and consecrate new tools.
Keep the poppet and its tools for as long as you like, carefully severing the link between yourself and it when you're done with it.

No inc*st or p*dophilia - we can’t keep you from writing it or creating art for it but it won’t be reblogged. No inc*st: This rule does not apply to distant cousins and such, as you might find in the LotR fandom (or basically in all of European Monarchy). The line we draw is at direct blood relations (siblings, parents, kids) and/or legal guardianship. No p*dophilia: This rule does not rule out fandoms that feature teenagers such as Harry Potter, Heartstoppers, Hunger Games, etc. It also doesn't mean you can't write about their time together as teenagers! There’s absolutely no word count restriction, write as little or as much as you like.
In regards to art, anything goes: drawings, paintings, collages, mood boards, gif sets, videos, playlists… the sky’s the limit (though not really…). If you would like to create a podfic, the fic you're using does not have to be new - your creation will be new!
You can mix and mash different mediums however you like, be it within one prompt or on different days.
While we can’t force you to write fluff or create fluffy art, please try to keep in mind that this is a fluff event 😉 that, of course, doesn't mean you can't combine it with angsty/whumpy prompts - hurt/comfort is absolutely welcome!
You can start creating as soon as you see this - but please refrain from posting before the respective day.
If you post early, we will schedule your post for the correct day; if you use multiple prompts in one creation, we will post on the earliest day you used.
You can participate on as many days as you like, even if it’s just one; you can also create multiple entries for the same day.
You can replace as many original prompts as you like with our prompt extras; you can also combine them with the original prompts or create for them in addition, that's completely up to you.
It’s okay to write one story/a series for all the prompts.

Getting married to ekko
short drabble

There was a rare kind of joy that managed to push through the usual grime and chaos. Strings of mismatched lights. Some flickering, others glowing bright, were strung across the open square near the hideout. The firelight children had scavenged scraps of cloth and patched them together to create banners, their uneven stitching adding a charm no fancy Piltie celebration could ever replicate.
In the middle of it all, you stood on a small platform that the Lost Children had hastily constructed. Your dress wasn’t traditional, it couldn’t be. It was a creation, crafted lovingly by Zaunite hands. Pieces of old fabric, some shimmering with oil stains, others dyed in vibrant hues, came together to create something uniquely yours.
Ekko stood opposite you, his usual bravado tempered by something soft and awed. He wore his best—a patched-up jacket you’d once teased him about because he refused to throw it away. But it was clean, and you knew it meant something for him to wear it today. His hair was neatly made, the streaks of white bright against the locks. He had a grin on his face that was wide, even as he tried to play it cool.
Scar, who had appointed himself officiant, stood between you two. His wiry frame looked almost regal in the dim light, though his crooked grin betrayed his usual cheekiness. “Alright, settle down!” he called out to the gathered crowd of children and a few adults who had wandered in, lured by the unusual festivity. “We’re here for somethin’ special tonight. None of your usual fightin’ or stealin’, this is about family.”
The children, sitting cross-legged around the square, erupted in cheers. You caught Ekko’s gaze, and the two of you shared a smile, the kind that spoke of shared dreams and whispered promises.
Scar cleared his throat dramatically. “Now, I ain’t exactly licensed or whatever it is those Pilties do, but who needs paperwork when you’ve got love, right?” The crowd laughed, and he winked at you. “So, let’s get to it. You two got somethin’ to say?”
Ekko took your hands, his palms calloused and warm against yours. His thumbs brushed over your knuckles as he looked at you, his voice steady but soft. “I never thought I’d get to have somethin’ like this,” he began. “Not here, You—you’ve made me believe that we can make anything, even in grimy place. You’re my balance when the world feels too heavy, my fire when it’s too cold. I promise, no matter what comes, I’ll always fight for us.”
You felt your chest tighten, your heart swelling as the words you’d wanted to say fought to escape. “Aww!,” you said, your voice trembling slightly. “You’ve shown me that even in a place as broken as Zaun, there’s beauty worth fighting for. You’ve given me hope, and I want to spend every day proving to you that you were right to believe in us. I’m yours, forever.”
The children cheered again, but Scar waved them down with a grin. “Hold on, hold on! We haven’t even gotten to the good part yet.” He nodded to a group of children at the side, who scrambled to their feet. The youngest among them, a tiny girl with oversized goggles slipping down her nose, held a small wooden box. She marched forward with all the seriousness of someone tasked with an important mission. Ekko knelt to her level, his grin widening as she opened the box to reveal the ring he’d made.
It wasn’t like any ring you’d ever seen. The band was crafted from a piece of scrap metal, polished until it gleamed faintly in the light. Set into it was a shard of green crystal, likely salvaged from some forgotten Zaunite machine. But the real magic was in the delicate etchings along the band—tiny gears and vines, symbols of growth and movement intertwined. It was unmistakably Ekko’s work, a reflection of his resourcefulness and heart.
“You made this?” you whispered, your fingers brushing over the ring as he slid it onto your hand.
“Course I did,” he replied, a hint of bashfulness creeping into his voice. “Nothing else felt good enough for you.”
Scar clapped his hands together, breaking the moment with his usual exuberance. “Alright, lovebirds, that’s it! You’re officially stuck with each other.”
Laughter and applause erupted as the children threw bits of torn paper and confetti into the air, creating a chaotic, colorful storm around you. Ekko pulled you into his arms, his laughter mingling with yours as the two of you spun in the midst of it all.
The celebration that followed was as Zaunite as the ceremony itself. Someone had rigged a broken radio to play static-filled music, and the children danced wildly, their joy infectious. A few of the older kids brought out food, whatever they could scrounge together. As the mismatched feast was laid out on a long, uneven table.
Ekko never strayed far from your side, his hand lingering on your waist or your fingers brushing against his arm. At one point, he leaned close, his voice low enough for only you to hear. “You know, for a thrown-together wedding in the middle of Zaun, this might be the best day of my life.”
You laughed, leaning into him. “Might be?”
“Okay, fine. Is the best day,” he admitted, his grin softening.
As the night wore on and the children began to drift off, Ekko led you to a quiet corner, away from the noise. The lights overhead flickered, casting his face in warm, uneven purple shadows. “Hey,” he said, his tone still soft. “Can’t believe we are official married now!”
You reached up, your hand cupping his cheek. “Unreal that i can officially call you my husband.”
For a moment, the chaos of Zaun fell away, and it was just the two of you. Two survivors, two dreamers, building something beautiful in the midst of ruin. And as he kissed you, the city seemed a little brighter, and the air a little lighter.

I both believe "poor people deserve art" and "artists deserve food", but it's hard to reconcile those beliefs. I blame capitalism. And I suppose it mostly matters who you're stealing from?
I don't mean to question you at all, I'm against people pirating your stories. I guess I was just wondering if you had more thoughts regarding the reconciliation the two beliefs I quoted above.
I think the reconciliation is working toward a future where things are better, and authors and artists don't have to beg people not to steal from them because they think every author is Stephen King, who wouldn't notice if you stole the pennies found under his couch when in reality most of us are hunting for spare change down the back of the couch because we are earning below minimum wage.
We need people to embrace the idea that art belongs to the working class, both in terms of consumption but also creation.
If you don't support the working-class creators, you'll only end up with rich fucks with no scope of the world beyond their own narrow view of privilege.
Indie creators are actually working very hard to change the way the industry works, and the publishing industry is shitting itself over it. They don't like the success some of us are having. It's why they keep upping prices while slashing corners on their own production (while never affecting the man at the top) to try and stay competitive within the rat race they've created.
They're not interested in the proliferation of art. They're not interested in making sure their authors can afford to live. They don't want more diversity. They don't want inclusion. They want profit at whatever the cost.
And while indie creators very much need to get paid because we live in a capitalistic society and everything is burning down around us, and a carton of eggs now costs more than what I earn per hour, our creativity is directly at odds with the type of profiteering big publishers want.
The money should go to the writers. Not the CEOs. The money should go to the workers in the print houses. Not the CEOs. No one needs the kind of wealth these people have. It's obscene. We need direct action against these conglomerates. We need unionization. We need a means to fight back so that we can make art and make it accessible.
So, how do we do that? I don't know. I'm just a very tired, disabled creator doing my best to keep my head above water. But I think getting people to realize that art and books are worth saving up for would be a good start.
That putting money in the pockets of creators is just as important as your own enjoyment of their art. Because if there aren't any artists, you've got nothing.
Getting them involved with their local libraries would also be a great start. Educating them on how the industry works is part of that. The number of people telling me they had no idea libraries paid authors is staggering. And that's intentional. It's a by-product of right-wing propaganda to make you think libraries are worthless and just sap taxpayers' money.
They're not.
If they were, the fash wouldn't be trying so hard to take them away.
Basically, we need working-class solidarity and for certain people on the left to rid themselves of the idea that just because something isn't borne of manual labor, it doesn't have worth. We need the artists and the dreamers as much as we need to bricklayers and the craftsmen. Otherwise, what's the fucking point of it all?

OKAY HERE WE GO
Y’all this is 3+ years of not writing fanfiction and pent up thoughts I am so sorry
(Also mind any spelling or grammar mistakes I am on 30 minutes of sleep and it’s 2AM)
(Senku x Smart! F! Reader SMUT)

‘Frustrated’
‘Unfocused’
‘Pent up’
‘Math.’
‘Math…?’
‘That’s right. I need to focus.’ But how could she focus on this equation like this. She’s been pent up for ages. There’s not really any time for intimacy when you’re building the new world.
(Y/N) sighs as she puts her mind back on the equation before her. The team is on the brink of a break through, she can’t falter now.
Wrong.
“Huh?”
“That’s wrong.” She turns her body to look over at her lover. Senku gazes at their makeshift chalk board with his head tilted to the side.
“Not like you to make that kind of mistake. Pulled an all nighter?”
“No- Well, yes. I did, but that’s not what’s wrong. I’m fine.”
Senku watches as she corrects her mistake, getting any little detail wrong can crumble everything. They both know that. But they’ve been working nonstop since they broke free of the stone, their efficiency doubled once they found each other in the stone world.
She puts her chalk down, rubbing her aching eyes. “I’m gonna call it a night. Can’t utilize my brain if it’s half dead.” Senku nods, understanding the feeling.
“T’s cool. I’ll take over,” He assures. She gives him a small kiss to the cheek before leaving the lab, heading to her sleeping quarters.

“Left over materials are a life saver. Had just enough Methyl Chloride to create a mold…”
(Y/N) smiles at her little “side project”. She carefully places the small motor into the silicone tube she made.
“First vibrator of the stone age. Hilarious.”
She chuckles to herself as she delicately adjusts the wiring.
“Done!”, She allows the hot glue she whipped up to cool before testing out her creation, she twists the dial and it hums to life.
“Science my love thou hast never failed me.”
She stands to go over to her cot when she hears shuffling outside the door. There’s a shadow at the door. Shit.
She scrambles to turn off the machine and lock it back away in the small chest she made for it.
The door opens just as she locks the latch.
“You’re still awake?”, Senku stands in the doorway, holding some papers.
“Yeah, I was just working on a side project.”
Senku raises an eyebrow, “Oh? Like what.”
She averts her gaze. “Confidential.”
“Ya. Okay.” He chuckles as he rolls his eyes.
She slides the chest under her cot and walks over to him. “Need something?”
“Just wanted you to double check me.
“You’re a smart, grown ass man.”
“And?”
She shoots him a teasing smile as they both sit on her bed, checking over his calculations together. It may seem odd, but it’s their love language.

Sadly, (Y/N) fell asleep midway through their calculation session, she never even got to try her toy, how tragic. The next day comes and she’s more irritable than before.
Senku had a sneaking suspicion something was going on. He wants to get to the bottom of it immediately, whatever is happening is hindering their progress.
While walking to check on (Y/N) during her break from working he catches her right as she’s storming out of her room in a huff, heading towards a loud crash a little ways away. It’s always something.
Before he can follow he hears something curious from their room. Buzzing. Senku’s curiosity gets the best of him as he peaks in, immediately spotting the toy on the cot
“Oh. So that’s what this is all about.”
He sighs, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Guess I haven’t been the most attentive boyfriend, huh. Let’s nip this in the bud then.”
He smirks as he turns off the toy, tucking it away in his pocket before leaving the room.

(This next part is absolutely freaked out. You were warned)
Panic.
“No, no, no, this is NOT happening.”
She can’t find it. This is awful. Did it roll under something? She frantically opens the drawers at her makeshift desk.
Senku watches from the door, an evil smirk painting his face as (Y/N) searches for her toy, her face flushed with embarrassment and frustration. He chuckles, enjoying the the scene before him. "Looking for this?" he asks teasingly, holding up the vibrator and letting it buzz loudly in his hand.
(Y/N) freezes, her face burning with humiliation as she slowly turns to face Senku. "Give that back to me," she demands, trying to snatch it from his grasp. But Senku quickly moves it out of her reach, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Not so fast," he chuckles, backing away and examining the object with intrigue. “Interesting side project.”
(Y/N) crosses her arms, glaring at him as she tries to maintain some semblance of dignity despite her mortification. "It's not what you think," she snaps. "…Okay maybe it is. I just... I needed a release, okay? And there aren't exactly sex shops in the stone age."
Senku's grin widens, and he takes a step closer to her, one hand still holding the vibrator behind his back while the other reaches out to trail his fingers along her arm. "I’m a bit offended you didn’t come to me directly, but I can’t say I don’t find that innovative mind of yours exhilarating," he murmurs. "
“You are really annoying, you know that-”
Senku silences her with a searing kiss, his lips claiming hers with a passion that steals her breath away as he walks her back against the desk. She melts into him, their bodies molding into each other as the vibrator begins to buzz softly against her inner thigh. (Y/N) gasps into his mouth, her hips jerking slightly at the unexpected sensation.
Emboldened, Senku slides the toy higher, rubbing it along the damp fabric covering her most intimate area. He swallows her whimpers and moans, his tongue delving deep to taste her as he grinds his semi hard cock against her.

(Y/N) rocks her hips faster, chasing her own release. She leans in closely to his ear, mustering up all she can to speak.

Senku nearly came right then, she’s going to be the death of him.
(Y/N) shifts her position, allowing him to hit that special spot inside her with every thrust. Her fingers claw at his chest, leaving red marks in their wake as her body is consumed by pleasure. She can feel that familiar knot forming, tightening and tightening until it finally snaps. The motion of her hips falters, jerking sporadically as she rides out her orgasm.
Senku holds on tightly his head thrown back, biting his bottom lip hard enough to draw blood. The feel of her clenching around him nearly being too much to handle.
Once she’s come down from her high, (Y/N) pushes her self up weakly. She stands, wobbly legged and all before lowering herself to her knees, massaging his balls as she takes him into her mouth.

What kind of deck would Kenpachi use for duel monsters?
Zaraki is the kind of guy who will hunt down Bakura and (gently (for Zaraki )) shake him until he does whatever the trick was that he heard about was that would turn him into a card so he could fight Exodia on foot, like the gods intended.
As for other people, because it's funny to contemplate:
Ichigo: Bad at card games, collects his deck 100% based on how much he likes the card art, inexplicably manages to make something remarkably functional, even if he nearly times out a dozen times because I'm he's reading the text on every card he draws.
Rukia: Melffys.
Chad: also Melffys
Uryuu: Understands how to run a functional deck with pendulum summoning. Cannot explain it to anyone else.
Mizuiro: Has a deck because he and Mokuba are casual acquaintances and the economics of Kaibacorp fascinate him. Plays much more competently than he thinks he does.
Keigo: plays Digimon.
Orihime: Has actually known and been online friends with Tea Gardner for longer than she's known Ichigo, because the former Los Osaka High Schooler and Now Prima Ballerina is the OTHER S-ranked Fairy Deck Player in Duel Monsters Online.

Gotei-13:
Duel Monsters has migrated to Soul Society via Reverse London, but only some members of the Gotei-13 know of the game, let alone play with any competence.
Mayuri likes the card art and has casually attempted to re-create some of those monsters in the flesh because he was bored.
Hitsugaya thinks it's "so lame" but if you ask him why it's lame he has remarkably well-informed opinions about the game design that could only have come from getting WAAAAY too into it at one point.
Gin played duel monsters online briefly until Aizen took an interest, because the concept of matching wits with a total stranger who couldn't see him either intrigued him. Gin taught him the basics, (these are the three scores that matter, the rest is conditions creation, you'll love it-!) and released him into the forums. Tousen enjoyed a nice three-month vacation as Aizen got addicted to online play until he entered an unranked tournament and got wasted in two turns by someone with a bunch of twee little fairies in the first round. Threw an enormous temper tantrum about it and forbade anyone, especially Gin who made it to the semi-finals, from ever mentioning the game again
Byakuya, the universal expert on all things Ambassador Wakame, took an interest in the game because he recognized the Kaibacorp Logo on a card Rukia had. There is very little Wakame Ambassador Merch in soul society because it's actually a Living World IP, and Byakuya had noted that the company that owned all things Wakame Ambassador had been purchased by Kaibacorp. He asks Rukia, who tells him all about Duel Monsters, and that there is an entire Kaibaland Theme Park a few cities over from where she was deployed in the living world.
"...would it be possible to contact this Seto Kaibacorp?" Byakuya frowns into the middle distance.
A week later, Rukia unexpectedly opens a gate into Ichigo's Bedroom at 2AM.
"Not directly but anybody can write to his company and the message might get passed along- like how Rikichi sorts all the mail addresses to you that gets sent to the sixth." Rukia shrugs. "You'd need a return address in the living world for him to write back though."

"Gah!" She yelps.
"THIS IS WHY YOU CALL AND WAIT FOR PERMISSION TO COME OVER!" Ichigo, home from undergrad for the week, growls at her.
"Hi Miss Rukia!" Orihime waves from on top of Ichigo, not bothering to get dressed.
"Uh, um- congratulations?" Rukia mumbles, covering her face.
"What happened now?" Ichigo groaned, reaching for his pants.
"My bro- Captain Kuchiki requests your assistance in delivering a message to a human in the living world!" She stammers, thrusting the message in his general direction.
"Rukia I don't think this will go through the postal system..." Orihime mutters taking it from her instead of putting on clothes or moving from her position on top of Ichigo.
"What? I thought we put enough stamps on it-? Gah! Please put on a shirt!" Rukia yelps.
"Rukia you know what boobs are." Orihime mutters, studying the missive. "I'll just put this in a box and mail it to them in the morning, okay?"
"Yeah! Sure! Fine!" Rukia sputters, reopening the gate as fast as she can.
"REMEMBER TO CALL NEXT TIME!" Ichigo hollers after her.

The Brothers Kaiba stared at the message.
"I'd say it looks like someone tried to mail me from the Meji Era but I've had enough of time-travelling bourgeoisie for one lifetime." Seto grumbled.
"That's not what you were saying last night!" Atem teased from over the video call.
"I mean, if I'm doing the calculations right, and he really is offering to pay us in bullion, that's like... Ten times what the Wakame Ambassador IP is worth." Mokuba frowned at the figures laid out in neat but archaic handwriting on the medieval-looking scroll that arrived in a box, but covered with postage from six different countries inside.
"...when do you get back again?" Seto glared at Atem through the call.
"Not until June, my impatient lord of dragons." Atem smirked.
"...fuck it, let's meet this guy." Seto decided. "He can't be any weirder than everyone else I know."

Lord Byakuya Kuchiki was, in fact, on par with, if not actually over the median level of weirdness in Seto's circle of tolerated people.
He really did look and speak like he'd stepped out of a time machine from the late 1800's and was, indeed, completely up front and honest about purchasing the rights to Wakame Ambassador and any merchandise Kaibacorp had, with a chest full of gold bullion.
Unlike most of Seto's acquaintances-with-benefits, Lord Kuchiki was polite, addressed him with a proper level of respect, perfectly straightforward in his request and even explained that he knew he was over-paying, but he'd been on the wrong side of copyright law before, and at least some of this was overvaluing the property as insurance that someone wouldn't attempt to buy it out from under him.
"...Alright, we have a deal." Seto smirked, leaning back in his chair. "I have to ask though- why Wakame Ambassador, of all things?"
"Why the Blue Eyes White Dragon?" He gestured to the office's distinct decoration with a knowing smile. "There is no shame here- if anything, I admire the boldness with which you live your truth."
Seto squinted at him for a long moment, before slowly cracking a smile. "Alright- you tell me about Wakame Ambassador and I'll tell you about her."

"Unbelievable." Mokuba gaped.
"I didn't know it was possible." Muttered Rukia.
The two dark-haired, diminutive siblings of more famous older brothers regarded each other for a moment.
"Does. Does yours not talk either?" Mokuba asked, pointing into the office where Kaiba and Kuchiki had been excitedly discussing something non-stop for the better part of three hours.
"I'm lucky if I can get a dozen words out of him a week." Rukia gawked. "He. He doesn't smile like that either? What the hell??"
"Seto smiles, but it's usually a threat- I. I don't think I've ever seen him this chill before..." Mokuba marveled at the scene before them.
"Do we... Leave them to it?" Rukia muttered.
"We'll never get on any of the rides at this rate." Grumbled Karin, who had heard the words "roller coaster park" and elbowed Ichigo in the stomach to take the job of escorting the Kuchiki siblings to Kaibaland from him. "Yuzu?"
Yuzu, who had been drafted into the expedition because she could actually make sense of the high-speed rail system, closed the book she'd been reading with a sigh and stuck her head in the door.
"Mr. Kuchiki? I'm sorry to interrupt, but we left so early I didn't get to eat breakfast, and it's past lunchtime now..." She said, giving the highly manipulatable shinigami her best Precious Moments Figurine face.
"Huh?" Kaiba blinked, then look down at the clock on his desk. "...How is it one thirty?"
Kuchiki looked at something that might have been a cell phone or a large beetle. Seto had learned to stop asking those questions. "Good heavens, you must be starving! Is there a commissary or..?"
"No way, we've got a food expo going on at the Astrodome. They can have whatever they want, on me." Seto shook his head, getting up and waving for them to follow.
"What the FUCK?" Mokuba whispered.
"Oh wow!" Rukia gasped, eyes sparkling "-do you think there will be carrot cake?"
"-So tell me about this Agents Of Nori filler arc," Seto said with genuine fascination as the two men walked down the hall, leaving bewildered siblings in their wake.

Yugi frowned at the latest Duel Monsters expansion with concern for the better part of ten minutes before slowly looking up at Mokuba on the other side of the living room "...I feel like I missed something important."
"What?" Mokuba blinked, looking up from his CapMon spreadsheets. "Oh, yeah. Seto made a friend who got him into this bizarre old cartoon, so now there's a line of cards based on the IP. I think it's a birthday present because the guy got some author to write up a novelisation of the new Blue Eyes canon for his."
Yugi stared blankly at Mokuba.
"Seto."
"Yes."
"...Made a friend?"
"Yyyyyyep."
"...on his own? Organically?"
"Believe it or not, Seto does pay attention to your friendship speeches." Mokuba glared.
"...I'm. I'm glad? I just can't get my head around it. What did he DO?" Yugi glared.
"...It's not so much that Seto did anything so much as Mr. Kuchiki is a very similar type and degree of fucking weirdo Seto is, and due to your good influence, Seto didn't immediately panic about that and... They just kind of..." Mokuba pursed his lips, trying to think of a word, and instead interlaced his fingers. "-meshed. Like gears."
Yugi's stare went from blank befuddlement to Great fear "I cannot overstate how alarming the concept of Two Setos is. We did that once, and the universe almost ended."
"Nah, it's fine.- if anything, he's a good example." Mokuba waved. "Kuchiki has an even bigger and more proactive cadre of friends that follow him around and holler if he misbehaves, so he's a lot more domesticated than Seto is."
Yugi sat on the couch, trying to imagine a less feral Seto, and could feel himself getting a headache.
"Kuchiki also looks and acts like he stepped fresh out of the Heian-era imperial court scene." Mokuba added.
"THERE IT IS!" Yugi sighed with relief.

hey so how do you think Lilia, Azul, Epel and Riddle would deal with meeting a reader in the kitchen of their dorm. Their reader is a chaotic ninja chef human. Like has you questioning if they even exist and then these boys randomly meet them in the kitchen of their dorm. First time it’s normal and reader leaves with the thing they just made. Blink and they gone. Second time, they walk in on a frightening sight of reader wearing a helmet and holding a blow torch and it’s activated. Reader seems to be doing something with food. The process looks chaotic but it looks amazing when reader puts the torch down. The boys manage to catch reader before they do their disappearing act. (Bonus if Epel ever shows his apple carving skills and the reader is like “you’d be really good at cake decorating”.
(If its not to your standards tell me and i'll do it again)

First Encounter: Lilia walks into the Diasomnia kitchen at night, expecting to grab some bat-shaped cookies for a midnight snack, only to see Y/N casually whisking something in a bowl. He tilts his head, intrigued, but before he can say anything, they just poof—gone. The only sign they were ever there is the lingering scent of something delicious. Lilia chuckles. “Oh-ho~ How delightful! A mischievous spirit, perhaps?”
Second Encounter: Lilia walks in again, expecting another fleeting visit. Instead, he is met with Y/N wearing a full helmet and brandishing a blow torch like they’re about to wage culinary warfare. Flames dance across the surface of a crème brûlée (or whatever creation they’re working on), casting eerie shadows. Rather than be disturbed, Lilia claps his hands. “Now THIS is how you cook! What an artful display of chaos!”
He catches them just before they vanish, appearing right behind them like a wraith. “No need to run off, dear chef~! Why not stay for a taste test?” He’s absolutely fascinated by their methods and would love to swap chaotic cooking tips.
🐙AZUL ASHENGROTTO🐙
First Encounter: Azul strolls into the Monstro Lounge kitchen to check on his stock, only to see someone expertly filleting a fish with ninja precision. The knife work is too good. Before he can demand who they are or what kind of agreement they have with his employees, Y/N finishes their dish, plates it beautifully, and then vanishes. Azul freezes. Did he imagine that? …No, the fish is gone.
He calls Floyd and Jade. “Did we hire a new chef?” They don’t know who he’s talking about. Azul is disturbed.
Second Encounter: This time, Azul enters cautiously. And what does he see? Y/N in a full helmet, armed with a blow torch, roasting something with deadly precision. Azul nearly drops his clipboard.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”
“Making a caramel glaze.”
The process is pure madness, but when they set the torch down, the dish looks like it came from a five-star restaurant. Azul is torn between admiration and absolute horror. Before they disappear, he grabs their wrist. “Oh, no. You’re not getting away this time! Do you have any idea how valuable you’d be to my business?!” He’s already drafting up a contract.
🍎EPEL FELMIER🍎
First Encounter: Epel sneaks into the Pomefiore kitchen, hoping to make some apple desserts before Vil catches him. Instead, he finds Y/N casually tossing ingredients into a bowl, flipping a pan like it’s second nature. He watches, intrigued, but the moment he blinks—they’re gone. He checks the counter. There’s a perfectly made pastry.
“...What in tarnation?” He eats it. It’s perfect. He’s now both impressed and weirded out.
Second Encounter: Epel opens the kitchen door and immediately regrets it. Y/N, decked out in a helmet, wielding a lit blow torch like some kind of culinary demon, is creating something otherworldly. Epel instinctively takes a step back.
“...Y’know what? I ain’t even gonna ask.”
But when Y/N finally notices him and sees his apple that he was carving their eyes sparkle. “You’d be really good at cake decorating.”
“Huh?”
Suddenly, he’s getting an in-depth lesson on piping techniques and sugar work. He was not expecting this when he walked in, but he lowkey enjoys it.
🌹RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS🌹
First Encounter: Riddle walks into the Heartslabyul kitchen for tea, only to find Y/N moving around faster than Cater with a viral trend. They chop, mix, and cook with an alarming speed, only to disappear the second Riddle blinks. He stands there, gripping his teacup, completely baffled.
“...Who was that?” Trey shrugs. Cater takes a photo.
Second Encounter: Riddle enters the kitchen again and immediately sees something that nearly makes him faint. Y/N, in a helmet, torching something in his kitchen. HIS kitchen. WITH FIRE.
“WHAT IN THE QUEEN’S NAME—”
Y/N calmly sets the torch down. The dessert looks immaculate. Riddle sputters, trying to decide whether to scold them for unsafe cooking practices or praise them for their technique. Before they disappear, he orders, “STOP RIGHT THERE.”
Cue a very formal interrogation about their qualifications and kitchen habits. If they’re going to be here, they need to follow the rules! (Spoiler: They do not.)

The way that you look reigns a binding effect. Your body, facial features, or even your energetic presence creates the assumption in a person’s mind that you can heal them. It’s prepossessing in a way that replenishes people on a berserk level of favorableness. The abundance around you reflects in the way that you are giving to others, so the people who feel a sense of envy over what you were born with and how you carry yourself, they mistake your generosity for something that is entirely theirs and what they’re entitled to. People romanticize you in a way where they see you as an extension of themselves. I’m picking up that this can be through your beauty and body, the resources that you have, the support or popularity that you gain, and in your ability to comfort and provide for others.
What do people villainize about you?
I feel like people in this pile are aware of how damaging this kind of romanticization is, even if people feel like you should be flattered. People villainize you for acknowledging it for what it is. Objectification. What comes to my mind when describing this energy as is a “prude’s worst nightmare” and the character “Eve” from the movie “Igor”. When you step out of this role of being polished and when you use your abilities for your own reasons instead of being under someone else’s terms, intent, and timing, you become terrifying. People will villainize you because of the suspense they feel over what you will do next. A sexual person isn’t deemed a “whore” until they consider their pleasure and wants. A person that doesn’t know any better is beneficial to another individual until they do know better and go towards it. Youth becomes bastardized when the future doesn’t turn out like what our elders intended. A magician becomes a witch when their spirituality doesn’t liken to smoke and mirrors. All of these examples share something in common in what makes someone a threat, which is being a person who knows and understands that they are free. The true villain here is perception and your capability of continuing to walk away from situations that keep you stuck from making use of what was given to you for a reason. Embrace your seductive prowess. If you’re the generational curse breaker in your family, don’t allow the people before you to hijack what you’ve been guided to do with your life because it doesn’t embody “the struggle” or what greatness looks like. Your personal connection to a higher power will always threaten a person who believes that they’re the center of the universe and that is why expansion in your life from the magic that surrounds you will be seen as a loss for them.

The energy that people sense from you is maternal but is viewed and approached in a skewed manner because most people underestimate it as something that is one-dimensional. Maternal energy is only seen as something meant to be given to others when it’s actually about affluence. People will try to position you into the role of a caretaker, parent, leader, spouse, but the truth is that your power to create, is in whatever path that you have decided for yourself. If it does look like becoming a parent and raising children, then that’s absolutely fine, but don’t succumb to the narrative that creation or fertility is limited to only one thing or under someone else’s vision. Assume a role because you want to, not because of what’s pressured onto you. Especially when you decide to break free from being someone who is always thinking about everyone else but yourself. It’s going to piss people off, but it isn’t your responsibility to mother their anger or what they’re searching for within them. What people are really seeking from your energy is your intensity. When you come from a place of love or carry a lot of it in you and around you, it attracts people who desire unconditional love from the wrong places. When your knowledge and talent is incredible, it attracts people who lack it but swear up and down that they’ll know how to work your own potential better than you do. When you constantly generate unorthodox ideas, the people shunning you for it are secretly planning on how they can capitalize off of the voguish complexity that you exude naturally. Allow the abundance that you create to be for yourself, instead of letting people weaponize you to suit their apprehension to evolving from places that they’re not in anymore. Your wicked truth is that you decide the person that you want to be and that you need to be more picky with how and who you choose to expend your energy on. You have to be stronger than what people say about you when you start to advocate for yourself and the main thing that I want people in the pile to take from this message, is to not let people placate you by thinking that they can take credit for the person that you are and what you’re capable of doing. Your identity is only perversed when you live outside of your self concept trying to fit in other people’s lives. Be the main character in yours.

People romanticize your chaos. They seek the things you wish to not have and the unwanted attention that you get. I’m picking up themes around money, gifts, masculine figures with influence, and lust being drawn towards you. When those who can’t relate to you see this, they view it as something enviable because you appear to be well taken care of, but you actually see this as a nuisance. You trigger obsession in your close or intimate relationships and in strangers. I’m seeing a lot from people who know you but you have no idea who they are or if you can recall even interacting with them. I’m sorry, but I keep interpreting this energy from those that romanticize you, as people who are not used to anything, so they want everything. If you’ve experienced a person or multiple people having a fatal like attraction towards you, especially with the lingering theme of obsession, they see it as something cool, and as a scenario that “isn’t all bad” because they focus too much on what they think you’re benefiting from it, such as being “desired”, money, “protection”, or being in a position of not having to worry about material lack. If you come from some form of generational wealth, or have a parent that appears to have a lot of money, people could romanticize it, instead of paying attention to how that inherited wealth comes with another price that you have to pay, such as your freedom or mental peace. Some people in this pile may have an experience with their haters cyberstalking them. I’m sensing through anonymous accounts or accounts from people who were supposed to be your friends or supporters who are secretly judging you and waiting for their moment to pick you apart directly. Overall, this pile is dealing with some sort of situation that puts you in distress, but other people are seeing it as a blessing. They have delusions over the toxicity that you face in your life.

People villainize your reluctance to see things the way that others do. They view this indifference as ungratefulness, which triggers this venomous vitriol that they have against you. I just got a headache which confirms how unpleasant these people are around you. They want to drill into your head to change your mind about things and you just will not conform to that and they resent you for it. People could view you as someone sick or in need of help because they think that you don’t see things for what they really are. I’m getting so annoyed by this, because it’s mainly situations where they’re speaking on what they see, instead of everything that you’re feeling, seeing, and actually receiving. When you’re not silent about your discomfort or when you unveil illusions, that is when you’re villainized the most. I’m hearing this viral audio clip “He’s a good man Savannah”. I see that your discernment in relationships and in your career is sharp. You’re phenomenal at detecting and protecting yourself from controlling individuals, but people could think that you’re being paranoid and that you’re somehow sabotaging yourself. The people who tend to make you the villain, are complicating their lives because they’re too busy wanting yours. They’re free to go after what it is that you don’t want, but they’d rather bully you into choices that they can’t fathom themselves rejecting.
What is your wicked truth?
Your wicked truth is that you do not have to accept things because they are valued by another person. You do not have to jump at every opportunity that calls for you nor do you have to answer it. There are lessons that you can learn from the people who villainize you. They are trying to sway you into a scarce mindset, because they live their lives thinking that the only way to get justice is by taking what you can get from this world instead of chasing bigger. And honestly, “bigger” is really the bare minimum. Don’t let people bully you into staying with abusive people or situations that don’t make you happy and respected. There is negativity that comes with being ungrateful, but there is also negativity that comes with support. It’s not always promising to depend on someone for something, especially a controlling person. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you deserve a love that doesn’t wane and isn’t confusing. You deserve safety without having to owe someone something. Another lesson to learn from the people who villainize you, is that at some point, you do need to detract from your fear of being seen. Not in a way that feeds into the drama, but in a way that makes you stop being avoidant of being as you are. Transmute a hater’s energy into your favor. Envision those eyes as motivation to keep strutting your stuff to really give them something to watch, which is a person who isn’t afraid to not settle for crumbs because it shows up at their doorstep. Walk over those bitches. You don’t need anyone’s attention, because you are attention. Remember that.

I’m getting that people romanticize your “childlike wonder”. Your ability to be eternal. I’m actually hearing that people actually romanticize the way that YOU romanticize life. You guys could be very holistic and spiritual. Very in tune with the esoteric view of the world and how we operate in society. People love your wisdom, could even be addicted to it, because it’s cogent. It calms the mind, it makes them open their eyes to see what’s actually there in front of them and how they can build from situations that initially look like there's nothing to gain from it. Your energy is whimsical. People romanticize it, because it’s like “Hakuna Matata”, “Fuck it, We Ball”, or in other words “no worries”. You’re psychic, whimsical, and also indulgent. You guys are like pile one, but the aura from this pile seems more boundless. People around you could see you as either a good influence or a bad influence because of this. The degree to which you show your optimism could make people feel like you’re bragging, but somehow, it stuns people, because it appears like you’re never checked for it. There’s like a force or a circumstance that backs up exactly what you’re confident about. A LOT of jupiter and neptune energy here. I actually want to bring clarity about what I was interpreting in the first part of this reading. I get that a lot of you aren’t really telling these people to do things to hurt them. It’s just that people have so much trust in what you say or the person that you are, but will distort and take in too much of the examples that you make in life or the insight that you give. What makes people upset over you, is your popularity. How you can say something, and people will run with whatever narrative. People villainize you because they feel you’re a person who has too much power, even when you’re just breathing. People could want to silent you because of how much magnetism is in your words or how you challenge beliefs. I also see that people can villainize you for not enacting a role of the pedestal that they placed you on. Let’s say that you withdraw yourself socially, because you don’t want people analyzing every single thing that you say or do, and you don't want to be in the spotlight or in a leadership position because you don’t want to be responsible for everyone and blamed for what goes wrong. This could anger people because they see this as cowardice when they perceive you as someone who’s confident or someone who inspires them to rebel against something or they want to hear more of your thoughts. It’s like a damn if you do, damn if you don’t kind of situation. People villainize you when they feel like you’ve let them down in some way.
What is your wicked truth?
Your wicked truth is that you need to release guilt from mistakes that you have made. You’ve done the work, you’ve analyzed more than enough what went wrong and how you could change while backing it up with action. It’s time to move on and continue being happy, not because it makes other people happy and inspired, but because you deserve to experience your joy and tap into your inner child again. To imagine and have fun instead of feeling like you’re responsible for everyone. This could look like codependency. You have to lean into individualism more. You need to place more boundaries with people who deify you so that you can relax and no longer immobilize yourself because you feel like you only bring destruction. You don’t destroy things or people and you’re not a nuisance. You’re not anyone’s enemy, even to the people who villainize you. Their perception of you is their problem and something that they need to work on, because 9/10, they don’t know you well enough to speak on what your intentions are. You mean well, and that is why the love will always outweigh the hate. You’re appreciated and listened to for a reason but always remember that you’re still human. You don’t have to be perfect because people want to see you as perfect. And just because you’re not perfect doesn’t mean that you aren’t qualified to help and lead others. Awareness and treating others with care is always a must, but the point of this pile is for you and the others around you to learn balance. Too much positivity is just as bad as too much negativity.
