She is the third DC character to bear the name Huntress. Originally introduced as a new interpretation of Helena Wayne, no longer depicted as the future daughter of Batman and Catwoman as part of DC's post-Crisis on Infinite Earths relaunch, she was later established to be the modern-day equivalent, namesake and predecessor of Helena Wayne.

Then there is of course the Arrowverse version I know nothing about and the one from Birds of Prey and... I don't even know. This is me doing a chart with too many characters I don't know and being confused about the Arrowverse once again. :D

Here’s one thing I’ve been thinking about a lot ever since I read Young Justice and met Cissie King-Jones.

Obviously was Thea Queen leaning into Mia Dearden - definitely not an adaptation of her, but taking some inspiration (and leading to Moira getting the maiden name ‘Dearden’).

But here’s the other thing. Her biological father is Malcolm Merlyn. Born Arthur King.

And I’ve been obsessing over that ever since. Yes, I know, King is not the most unique last name so no relation needs to be given - or it may just be for the sake of invoking Cissie King-Jones (and no, I do not think there is relation to Mia’s father John King, since Thea predates his existence).

But what if Bonnie King and Arthur King are siblings though. What if they’re actually related. There’s just so many archers. Way too many. And it feels slightly less worse if you say “yeah, that is one family and teaching their kids archery runs in the family”. (Also I don’t know Malcolm’s reason for changing his name in the first place, but it’d be really funny if it was because Bonnie King’s Miss Arrowette stint drew too much attention and annoyed him so much that he changed his name.)

I choose to look at Thea as a version of Mia and Cissie, merged and with some added original elements, but in the canon of comics - where many Arrow characters like Felicity Smoak, John Diggle and Thomas Merlyn made the jump into during the N52 run - it would actually be really fun to see Thea too, in some way, and having her be Cissie’s cousin. Let them interact and be family.

Why should Robert be the only one who gets to sire kids outside of Oliver.

Okay, so... the tagging on Ao3 isn't great for this character because some shipnames including both her names, e.g. Kara Zor-El/Querl Dox and Kara Danvers/Querl Dox were made synonyms on Ao3 and others were not... I added them up manually but unfortunately some ships also exist twice on Ao3 and were not made synonyms (yet). Therefore these charts are more of an...orientation on which ships might be more popular than others but the numbers above might not be entirely correct.

I could've done this chart for the arrowverse only or I could've excluded the arrowverse but I might do that another time if anyone cares for that.

Some people might not see a marketing value for established brands making pinball machines these days, but the Toy Story 4 pinball machine is the only reason I knew there was a fourth Toy Story.

Also, I learned a lot from Craig Bobby’s The Pinball Show report on the new Abba pinball machine about the band Abba, which is it turns out is not just the Canadian equivalent of Billy Joel.
